Can't speak to the pizza (hate this style)....can't speak to the buffet (I try to avoid those).....HOWEVER.....Billy's has the very best Italian beef sandwhiches outside of Chicago (and quite frankly, better than many in Chicago)...run by a guy from Cicero if I recall correctly, so he clearly knows what he's doing. For those in Colorado unititiated to this delicacy, you will find it uninspiring if you order it plain. For the fullest experience, you MUST: -Ask for it "wet/dipped" -Order with sweet and hot peppers Bun will be a falling apart soggy mess...and if you can't deal with that, you don't want an authentic Italian Beef!...damn fine!

Only had the thick Chicago-style meat-lovers, but it was great. Delivery was decently fast, no long waits or cold food (and I live in a house that doesn't always show up GPS). This is a very heavy meal and high calorie count, but oh so good...

The owner is a Chicago native and it shows in the food. I too am from Chicago and became excited to see that I could get a deep dish Chicago-Style right here in the Springs. It did not disappoint. I cannot wait to try the Italian Beef sandwiches. He makes it homemade and says they are better than Portillos. I wouldn't think that was possible and look forward to tasting it. If it's anything like his deep dish with homemade Italian sausage I am in for a treat!!

Damn it, I really wanted to love this place. Until last Thursday I'd driven by for years. Shoulda realized something was up when you walk in and the place is a ghost town. The lunch buffet is $9.25, and while not sprawling it was nicely appointed with housemade pizza, pasta, sausage, salad, soup, etc. Here's where the 1 star rating comes into play... The food, especially the pizza was lukewarm. That night I ended up getting sick and vomiting. The friend that was with me got the runs. I'm not saying this to do harm to Billy's, or to get anything. You can see that my 500+ reviews are fair and straight-up. I'm just hoping that Billy's will have some better food safety practices.

Order Chicago-style deep dish meat lovers. Billy's is amazing, don't listen to any other cynical reviews. The first time I had it 3 years ago I knew it was a unique place for Colorado Springs. It's difficult to get quality deep dish pizza outside of Chicago. Billy's delivers the goods. Why are you still reading? Call up some people and order!

First time going and was not impressed Buffet was old and killed by heat lamps. Place was empty. For those prices I should of got a steak at Texas Roadhouse.

Like others have stated, you should know something is up when there is constantly a "Grand Opening" sign hanging out front and it's always empty. Shabby pizza buffet for Golden Corral prices. The salad bar looked like it had been in the sun for a few days. There were flies. The pizza bar was not even to par with a Cicis pizza buffet. Wood panel walls. High school class room tiles. A lil shag carpet here and there. We ordered our drinks to distract the waitress while we ran for the door. Never been back but see that they have added strobes to dazzle the sheeple into their door. Try any gas station pizza before eating here.

I wish FAT Americans would get past looking for a good buffet. Food was not meant to be made and sit under a heat lamp until being consumed in ridiculously gargantuan proportions by people who sit in front of a computer all day. I've never been to this place so can't really review, but was disgusted to see that the only negative comments were about the buffet. How bout ordering a fresh pizza? Don't be so stinking impatient to stuff ur face.

I drove by this place and it caught my eye. I decided to pop in and try it out. SO GLAD I DID. The waitress explained that everything is handmade. I enjoyed their lunch Italian buffet and I must say the pizza was extraordinary! So was the homemade potato soup. The best thing of all was the Italian sausage. Now I don't even like sausage but felt compelled to try it since it was on the buffet. It is homemade and this place even stuffs it themselves! Their sausage was so good that I ordered delivery from this place for dinner and ate the charbroiled Italian sausage. The delivery was prompt and the food excellent.

Wow I got the old world meat lover pizza last night and enjoyed every moment of the experience. The man I spoke to on the was very nice and explained the pizza to me. The taste was perfect and the sauce is wonderful. Do yourself a favor and order your today you can thank me later.

The guy has good intentions.. Buffet would be better if things were fresh- only thing I was excited for was the lasagna. He kept telling everyone he had sausage in the back and then proceeded to tell us why it was kept in the back- I get it but seriously?? Place is kind of run down.

I think the phrase 'I have had worse" would be the most appropriate for Billy's. I would describe it as slightly better than school cafeteria lunch. There is nothing that would drive my desire to return - not much ambience, service was okay, and the food was unremarkable.

I've lived in Colorado Springs for 3 years now. Thus far, the best tasting pizza I've had was the Chicago deep dish from Billy's Old World Pizza. The pizza is very hearty and filling. One or two slices is enough to satisfy one's hunger, which is great because the leftover pizza can be saved for your next meal or two. My last order was a Chicago deep dish old world meat lovers with pepperoni, Italian beef, Italian sausage, and bacon. My wife loved the pizza as well, which came as a surprise because she is very picky about pizza. A pizza here will typically cost you a few bucks more than other places, but you definitely get your money's worth.

The best home made Chicago pizza I've ever had, all the ingredients are from scratch and everything is fresh. I ordered just a regular spaghetti with marinara and I never thought spaghetti could taste this good; to me spaghetti was just spaghetti until I had Billy's. Their Chicago deep dish is freaking awesome and even the salad bar at their buffet is awesome; everything fresh with no wilted or discolored lettuce. Their meatballs are made from scratch and they are freaking good; I suggest you try the meatball sub, you will not be disappointed. For those who live in the barracks on-post, they love soldiers and it's ran by a military veteran.

We were hopeful that this place would have food like we used to have in Chicago. Short review: stay away; this is not Chicago style and not very good. Longer review: we ordered the "Chicago style stuffed deepdish" and a "crispy thin regular crust." The stuffed pizza was one of the worst pizzas we have ever had. The cheese was gummy like it was artificial, the dough was also gummy (both of which combined made each bite a challenge), the Italian sausage was like ground beef, there was almost no flavor AND no sauce on it - they gave us a separate container . The sauce seemed like they opened a can of crushed tomatoes. The thin pizza was better, however the only spice they seemed to use was oregano. Fortunately there was sauce on it. No real flavor here either. Sad. we were really hoping a little bit of Chicago was found. Oh and those 2 "pizzas" cost $34 bucks! Not going back.

We hadn't been to Billy's in years, so we decided to order takeout for a party. We were very disappointed with the pizza. No one really enjoyed the flavor. Granted, they were generous with toppings which was nice. But we had tons left over and a bunch of hungry guests. We asked Billy's staff to cut the thin crust pizzas into slices instead of squares to make it easier for everyone to eat, but it still came in squares. I understand that is customary but it was just one more thing that made this a disappointment. We will not be eating here again.

Firstly, the service was great, she was genuine, enthusiastic, smiled and was on the ball. I should also add, the fella cooking was also extremely nice and helpful. He came out and asked for input from the diners about which pizzas he should bring out for the buffet. The employees made me feel at home and comfortable. Now, on to the food. The pizza buffet is $10.50 and is well stocked. The buffet includes salad as well as some type of seasoned meat, sausage, marinara sauce, pasta, meatballs in marinara sauce, a grinder roll to make yourself a sandwich and some miscellaneous desserts. Seemed like the options were endless. I tried the Chicago style deep dish pizza, I've not had it before, it was OK. I think it was my favorite pizza out of all the options on the buffet. Honestly, after one slice of the deep dish, there was not much room for anything else. Wow, very filling. Overall, the food was a bit disappointing and everything tasted bland to me. Maybe my taste buds are crapping out. The thin crust pizza seemed stingy on sauce and the cheese was not warm and melty. Even when I grabbed a slice from a pizza that had just come from the oven, the cheese seemed on the crusty side, rather than melty. Overall, the sauce lacked much flavor. The high point for me was the cucumber/tomato/onion/oil/vinegar concoction on the salad bar. I could've just eaten THAT, yum. I also tried the potato salad (again, bland) on the buffet which was interesting because I think they used a french fry cutter to cut the potatoes which leads me to believe they make their own potato salad. Most places just get institutional size tubs of premade so kudos to Billy's. I'm so torn between two and three stars because the service was great, but the food just did not make it happen for me. It may be that I just don't like the style of pizza Billy's serves. I'm sorry, Billy!

Billy's is by far the best authentic deep dish I've found in Colorado Springs. If you're looking for a good, sauce on the top, super thick, chicago style deep dish pizza look no further. Just be warned if you're dining in, deep dish pizzas take a LONG time to bake, upwards of 45+ mins, so call ahead and place your order if you don't want to wait. The garlic bread appetizer is also really good.

Great buffet with a wide variety. I wasn't able to try everything, but I tried. The thin crust pizza was OK. I've had better. The toppings were great and well portioned. The deep dish pizza was really good. I couldn't believe they actually had it on the buffet. They had pasta, which I didn't try, as well as Chicago beef with rolls. It was pretty good. I had a salad which was decent and more items than some buffets I've been to. Loved that they had marinara that I could use to dip my pizza bones in! They also had 3 kinds of pudding and slices of chocolate cake. I'd loved to have tried the cake, but I was stuffed. The buffet was only $9.25 and well worth it! Very nice staff, cute little mom and pop type restaurant. I would certainly come back and recommend it to anyone who likes a pizza buffet. And let's face it, a buffet is not a restaurant's best way to show off their skills, so I bet their food to order is 5 star!

This is a great place to eat. Pizza is out of this world. You've got to try this place at least once. You can order from the menu or do the buffet. It's Chicago style so you know what your in for.

This is the ONLY pizza in Colorado I have found that is in the style of Chicago neighborhood pizza. Their pizza really shines with toppings, and guess what folks? They have HOT GIARDINERA. I am not even kidding! Highly recommend the garlic parma. crust, but still need to try their deep dish. Take note, we had gone for the buffet once and weren't that impressed. When we went back to try a take out pizza, we were floored! I must say a friend in our party at the buffet was really happy with the chicago beef.

Billy's Old World Pizza is the BEST pizza in town. I am not a huge fan of the buffet, but for $10 it is worth what you get. I LOVE the Chicago Style, Old World Special. Large Deep Dish. They don't put this one on the buffet. They deliver it anywhere in town for an extra $3.

I would have given them just one star but the service was really excellent. Sadly the food was not. We ended up here because La Casita was full. This is what we get for being impatient I guess. We got the buffet, which had pizza, pasta, salad and dessert. The salad section was ok, the lettuce was fresh and not wilted (my usual complaint). The pizza wasn't very good though, with a boring crust and bland sauce. I didn't have any pasta but my friend said it wasn't very good either. I had high expectations because the waitress was very enthusiastic but sadly we won't be going back.
