Tonight, we were craving for some rolls and knew that this place had plenty of choices. It was about 7 p.m Friday night and the parking lot front of the restaurant was empty. I was like.. hmm.. its Friday night and they are dead? What happened since my last visit? As we entered, all of the staff in unison welcomed us. The friendly hostess asked if we wanted to sit at the bar, lounge or dining. We decided to sit at the dining area and the hostess had hard time finding the small table with two chairs. Whole place was empty! There was another couple at the lounge and us. Hmmm... something is missing. Great happy hour specials on drinks and food (BOGO) till 6:00 p.m. Extensive selection of rolls (Did I mentioned that already?). We got the Mr. Kim's roll ($11), Clayton roll ($11) and Moriawase B that came with California rolls and 10 pcs of Inari sushi. Whenever I order rolls that has bunch of spicy seasonings (like the we ordered tonight) that comes with Inari, we try to eat the Inari first. The seasoning on rolls over powers the true fresh taste of Inaris. Comes to think of it, sushi joints became more popular due to introduction of rolls that are developed in US. The sushi rice was bland (it appears to be have no seasoning) and I could bit into crunch dried up rice. Not good. Lacking bit of quality control here. The good was that fish was fresh (tako was steamed perfectly), rolls were good. Since we like the spicyness of wasabi and heat from the jalepenos, we loved the rolls. We will definetely skip the Inaris next time. Yes, there will be a next time and again and again. Lastly I should mention that we had very friendly server. However, this must be his first job as server because there was lot of "inexperienced" approach to serving. He always reached across the table instead of shortest distance. His arms were front of my face most of the nights. One instance, he approached me from the back with loud voice and startled me. He was way over enthuastic in clearing the table They need to go through some basic serving techniques. Friendly servers but needs to be fine tuned.

Went here with a good Groupon deal. Wanted to like this restaurant, it has a cool atmosphere. But unfortunately the service was pretty bad. After our waitress brought out our food, she stopped by our table only once to give us a refill (which she only filled halfway) and did not visit our table again for the rest of the evening. We sat at our table after we were done eating for over 20 minutes without water, food, or the bill. Thankfully we were able to get the attention of the bus boy who was friendly and helpful. The waitress eventually brought us our check without an apology, a smile, or even a single word. Food was okay (hence the 2 stars) but not even a Groupon deal will bring us back. Bottom line: Horrible customer service.

I recently went here for dinner with my family and got the worst service ever! We did the all you can eat and waited forever for our food. It was Saturday night and there was one server and no busser or anyone helping out. Our server barely came by to ask if we were doing okay or refilled our water. The food was decent for an all you can eat place but I definitely will NOT come back here.

We are from LA so we have some high standards in our sushi. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish, very attentive staff, and the decor were excellent. We will definitely stop here with each visit to Denver. Gunbai!

We went here to try it out because we bought a Groupon coupon for it. It's location wasn't in our normal area of travel, but hey, trying out sushi in new place is always a priority for me :). The atmosphere was clean and contemporary. We went early for happy hour and ordered their green tea, a few rolls and sushi pieces. The green tea was surprisingly good. It was brewed in a plexiglass type container which was pretty neat. You just place it on top of your cup when you are ready to drink it, and it drips into your cup. First time I have seen this and it tasted really nice. Service was great. Very attentive and helpful. There were many different rolls to choose from...and we enjoyed the conversation with the staff... very friendly. If you are interested in getting good sushi for a good price, I would definitely recommend you trying this place out. Unfortunately they don't really have an authentic feel to their sushi creation, nor too many exotic chooices. There are two locations in the Denver area...one in Lakewood and one in Centennial. From what I understand, however, for the month of this November, the Centennial location is offering happy hour prices and specials all of the time. But I think they modified their hours to only Monday thru Friday, closing @ 9 PM. Happy hour all the time, wow, that is my idea of fun and yum!

AWFUL!!!! With all the fantastic sushi restaurants in Denver I don't know why you would ever go here. Service was terrible, we even had to ask the hostess for cups to drink our sake out of. Waited an hour for food and got nothing. The manager was making the sushi that night and couldn't even come to our table. We've never walked out of a restaurant and refused to pay, until now. We will never be back and will make sure others don't waste their time.

A. I don't eat Sushi. B. My friends do. C. I ordered chicken. D. The service was poor to average. E. "The Sushi was average." F. My chicken was dry...had to pour soy sauce on it. G. I'll go across the parking lot to Maggie's

The service is outstanding, but the sushi list is very repetative in flavor combos and structure. Idc what you top a cali-roll with, in 90 different ways, its still just a cali-roll with some crap on top. Boring. What we did order was tasty, but heavy and it didn't sit well later. The service was good and we came in on a groupon, plus had a check-in offer from facebook. If I'm in the area again, I may come back, but otherwise... nothing special.

SHAMEFUL! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had lunch today with 3 of my colleagues. Our server came over and took the drink order. We then waited 15 minutes before we finally got someone's attention to come and take our orders. THERE WERE 7 PEOPLE behind the counter! Finally, the server took our orders. They brought the sushi first (3 or us had all or part sushi in our orders) and then 30 MINUTES LATER our server FINALLY remembered that we had more food coming. 45 MINUTES after ordering the noodles came to one of my colleagues. Never was there an apology. One person spoke to the manager and he really didn't care. There was one other occupied table in the room! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE! There are much better sushi restaurants in the area that actually know what customer service is.

Love this place... the happy hour is such a great deal... you can't beat it. I haven't had anything here I didn't like. My son who is 9 LOVES the fried squid and shrimp tempura. The dragon roll is a must have. Great service and staff

Stopped in for lunch with a coworker. I had the seaweed salad (typical) and spicy tuna hand roll (on the small side). Tuna hand roll was good but a little skimpy on the tuna. Prices were good and they have a ton of specials for happy hour and lunch.

I have never had a bad experience at Wasabi and between the locations in St. Louis and now in the Denver area, that spans about 10 years of visits. I agree with others that Wasabi is a great spot for sushi novices. But there are also more exotic options for those who are interested. The service is always prompt and friendly with staff that are knowledgeable and willing to offer informed recommendations, when asked. This particular Wasabi location is cool, to me, because of the loungey space at the back of the restaurant with low tables and comfy chairs. Added bonuses: all of the groupon-esque coupons and the smokin' happy hour deals.

Wasabi is a great sushi place. Service is quick and friendly. Fantastic happy hour. They also have a fantastic picture menu that shows you all the sushi. Great for novice sushi eaters. Stand outs for me are Haha Apple Sake and the Beth Roll.

We came here for happy hour on a Saturday evening. The place was fairly busy. We were greeted as return customers and promptly seated. Happy hour has some nice deals on sushi and other items. We ordered miso soup, four sushi rolls and some nigiri. Service was not fast but they were busy so it was OK. Strangely, we did have to ask our waitress for both napkins and chipsticks. She promptly brought them but this wasn't to our expectations. The food was decent. The Wasabi Special roll was the best. The salmon skin roll looked too moist. It tasted OK but the consistency wasn't the best. Also, the St. Louis roll was good, but the rolls were sliced too thick to eat in one bite. When I eat sushi, I prefer not to need a knife and fork to cut the rolls. Wish they wouldn't cut them an inch thick. The waitress did come ask us once how the food was but she never refilled our water glasses. I'd have to say service has gone down since our last visit. We will return, but won't go out of our way to come here.

would have given a 4 star review except for one thing... The food is very good, and we sat in the lounge, the server Ava was also very good. I arrived around 7pm ona Friday. The place was a mess. The floors needed to be swept, the chairs also need to be swept, the long bench in the bar seating area also needed to be clean. I get they might have been busy prior to my arrival, but there were plenty of employees sitting around without much to do, and no one felt it was their responsibliity to pick up the broom and clean the floor, or chairs or bench. That concerns me as if the restaurant is not clean, whats the kitchen like? Also, move your trash cans so that they are not visible to your guests. Again, enjoyed the food, and my server was great, but management, clean up your restaurant, not just at the end of the night.

There are better places, but The sushi here is enjoyable and made well, and the prices are reasonable. Definitely try the playboy roll and the fox roll is good too. They have happy hour all day until 6 with some of my favorite rolls; spicy tuna, crazy roll, St. Louis, shrimp tempura roll, etc. I always get a drink when I come here because they are made strong and they have a full bar with a good cocktail menu. I have eaten here multiple times and it is usually good, the service may be slow at times but it is a relaxing environment so it's ok. Give this place a try but Kazu across the street is by far the best sushi I've had in CO.

I really like this place. It's quiet, and the staff are really on top of their game. They have an outdoor patio, but honestly, who wants to sit outside with Arapahoe traffic just over your shoulder? I'll stay inside, thanks. The sushi here is very good. They have a lunch special which is very affordable and gives you a wide range of options. The a la carte sushi is also great, with a nice mix of flavors and rolls to suit your palate.

So I've tried all the Sushi places in the Parker/Centennial area and thought I had found my favorite. That was until I stopped by Wasabi, my former favorite is actually right across the street. Wasabi has such a cool atmosphere and a separate bar area with large screens. The sushi selections are great and everything is fresh. Their gyoza is always perfect and the veggie tempura and seaweed salad are a great way to start off your meal. I could live off their spicy tuna hand rolls. The staff has always been helpful with questions and are super patient when we dine here as a family. They get the appetizers to the table quick which is a huge help in keeping the kids happy.

I was in the area and stopped by this place to grab some quick take out for lunch. They do a $9.99 lunch combo where you can select two items from a designated list - the selection was alright I suppose, and it comes with your choice of soup or salad. I can't comment on table service, but my takeout was very speedy. The sushi was alright I guess, not terrible but nowhere near the best I've ever had. The rolls were not packed tightly enough and consistently fell apart as I was trying to eat them. As someone else said, they are laden with cucumbers. The miso soup, however, was very good. I enjoy my miso with mushrooms and this one had a great flavor and remained piping hot even by the time I got back to my office. I wouldn't rush back to this place, I stand by my $8.95 lunch special at Rice Bistro. The lunch special price was fine, but the other rolls were a little pricy - $7 for a California roll?? Someone else commented that this is a close substitute for Mikuni - what are you smoking!? This place on its best day, does not come near Mikuni so don't be fooled.

Extremely disappointing dining experience. 1) We asked for ice water with lemon. We get tap water that is room temp, with a sliver of lemon, no ice. 2) I cannot eat shrimp, I ask if it can be substituted. The server says, "Yes but there's a charge." I agree. I ask for quail egg, and the food arrives; there's no quail egg, and I asked for daikon, and other items that I agreed to pay extra for. None of it is in the Chirashi that I asked for. Then behind my back, the server rolls her eyes when I asked her what happened and that the items are missing. Really?! My friends at the table witnessed this and their jaws dropped. 3) My fiance ordered a Spicy Tuna Roll, it had nearly all rice and no spicy tuna. He took it to the owner, who asks, "What's wrong?!" He asks if he could have the sushi roll re-made so there would be more fish because it's nearly all rice. That answer was, "No." initially, this issue was brought up to the server but she seemed quite useless and definitely has no customer service orientation. Interestingly, I was at Wasabi three days ago, and the other server struck me as odd when he said, "We need more business, bring your friends. I don't know how we'll survive if we don't have better business. Look around, it's empty!" Well, although my dinner that night was quite average. I wasn't wowed but I wanted to give support and empathize. I come from an immigrant family that owned a restaurant, I know it's hard work. We would never treat our customers the way we were treated tonight. I brought three dinner guests and now Wasabi has lost all four of us. The experience was an extreme let down and I hope that management sees that they are making a lot of mistakes in not keeping loyal customers.

Have visited 3 times so far. Sushi and cooked items are all very good. Have a lot of variety for those eating Sushi or not. Vegetarian items also available. They extended their lunch times for those with late lunch hours to 4:00. Offer happy hour in afternoon that now overlaps with lunch specials. Prices on par (maybe a bit less) than other sushi places on Arapahoe. Friendly staff. Fast, efficient service.

Our last dinner at Wasabi was so-so, but we gave it another try, and they delivered. I guess the key is to come when it's not too busy. We love their lounge area, and the sushi is tasty.

Great sushi, but HORRIBLE service. Had to get up to ask for what I wanted. Wait staff on their cell phones several types. I would go to a different place if you don't wanna get up to ask for more water and I even had to get up and ask for PLATES to eat on!!!

When it comes to sushi places here in the Tech center, definitely on this side of the DTC, one only has a few choices and those do include supermarket sushi and Tokyo Joes. Personally, not a fan of supermarket sushi and Tokyo Joes just hits cravings on Sunday's when most real sushi places are closed. :( Wasabi Sushi Bar is above average. I will most likely never be here for dinner because I am never on this side of town unless I am at work - and yes I will be coming back to try more of their options during my lunch hour. I had their Nigiri Plate, Sushi C to be exact. Pretty good, great plating, thick slices of Nigiri and we were easily served 20 minutes after ordering where as at Hapa it takes about an hour. It was just enough food to where I wish I had an appetizer or I know I will be searching for snacks later on at my desk later on. After reading a few of the reviews, it seems like the staff is now much more up to par because our service was great and the restaurant was pretty full by noon.

Went for lunch and we ordered a ton of various rolls. They were all very good (some blow mind) and I especially loved the spicy edamame. The hot tea was great too coming in a colander with various teas and herbs. You can reserve the lounge which is great for one on one or 4 people meetings. I want to go back asap but they are not open at night on the weekends.

So disappointed! We started going to Wasabi a few months ago and went about once a week. It was good sushi, close to home. Last night we went and discovered they have a new computerized ordering system - a little box they put on your table (or at the sushi bar), you scroll through and find what you want to order, add it to your cart and send it to the kitchen. Yuck. How to depersonalize the dining experience. They removed the combo that we enjoyed (two sushi rolls, salad and tea) so that was a huge disappointment as well. Then, when our food came, one of the rolls was made incorrectly - but who do you tell? Hello, box? To make matters worse, when you're finished, you just pay the box, no one asks how your meal was, etc. and when the bill pops up, the second screen is for a tip - and it starts with 20%! "Do you want to leave 20%?" Who the hell are you tipping? The person that walked your food from the kitchen to the table? Yeah, that's worth $10. Does the box get the tip? We sat at the sushi bar, but the sushi chef never even asked if our meal was OK. What a difference from last time. I guess we won't be going back.

This place is a solid 3 stars. The food came out great. The presentation was amazing with the little sushi boats. The service was awesome but then again we were the only people in there on a weekday. This was one of the first sushi places I came to when I moved to Denver a couple weeks ago. It is nestled in a shopping strip full of fast casual dining spots and a Starbucks within eyesight. Everything was A-OK but nothing really stood out for me to say "Wow, I need to come back here!" The waitstaff is friendly and attentive and the sushi came out fresh. We never received any recommendations and multiple people waited on us. All this made it confusing. I hope to return some day and try more dishes.

Just thought I would update. They have changed owners and the lunch buffets are gone. However, they now have a happy hour during lunch on weekdays which is pretty much a better deal (you can combine certain rolls and appetizers for $10, which works pretty well). the food quality is the same--delicious. Their shrimp teriyaki has actually gotten better as it is a bit drier. I am a regular customer and will definitely be going back!

We used to have good experiences at this location and loved the all you can eat option, but recently they changed management, changed the menu and everything has gone south. The last time we went the food was ok, but the service was absolutely horrible. There were 6 of us, the restaurant was nearly empty and not one of us got our food at the same time (we each ordered the box lunch specials). I thought maybe they were just working out the kinks, so we tried again. They actually managed to get worse with time. This time the food was not even good, the rolls were very tiny with very little fish in them (even from the full priced menu), and again, the service was horrible. The waitress actually managed to charge me for someone else's order. As an added bonus, all three of us felt ill after our meal. I was willing to give them a second chance after the first bad experience, but this will be our last visit.

If your going here to eat the all you can eat option is the best bet for the value. Many of their other rolls are priced a bit high I think. The food was pretty good overall but the service was just ok all things considered. There was only one other couple in there aside from us and it seemed like we still had to wait a bit longer then I would have thought for the waitress to come over or for us to get her attention or for us to get our drinks. All in all the place isn't bad, but I don't know if I would come back.

Great sushi. Fresh, full of flavor and great service. Got a $50 Groupon for $35 and was able to use it toward the All You Can Eat menu, which had a surprisingly large selection of Nigiri and Rolls to choose from. The beer was ice cold and ambiance casual.

Oh my goodness, BEST SUSHI EVER!! What an amazing place to eat! Right in the heart of the downtown and centrally located! Wasabi is clean, unique and has a wonderful staff! Let me tell you out the owner Lee, he knows that we visit a few of his other restaurants out of state in (Missouri where we live,) and he came to our table to great us and thank us for stoping in! He is the most creative chef I know. He took note of what we ordered and he created an "off the menu roll" for us to try. Omg my husband and so can't stop taking about how amazing It was! If you want fantastic fun and creative sushi stop in ASAP!

I stumbled across this hidden Gem. I had dinner here and found out they have an all you can eat sushi deal. I got my fix of Sushi. The food tasted great and the service was exceptional! The waiter I had was named Johnny and he was super friendly and great! A few Bronco players stopped in for food as well and I found out it is one of there favorite places to eat. I gave them 5 stars and I will certainly be back!

we bought the $50 groupon for $35 and thought we would try this place. Glad we did. My husband and I both got the all you can eat menu, not only did this include a large variety of sushi, nigiri and appetizers, but also a good selection of items such tonkatzu, tempura, salads. The flavor and presentation was great. Our waiter (Johnny) was very friendly, quick to refill and make suggestions. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place.

I came here with a girlfriend and used the Groupon I had. Our server was awesome (thank you Robert) and the food was great. They have started doing an all you can eat and it covers almost everything. The susuhi was great and tasty and a great selection of rolls. I will be back...SOON

They have the ever-popular all you can eat sushi option, and I thought it was super cool that they let me partake with my Groupon. Wasabi has a very nice vibe about it, too, like a high end bar. The other cool thing is that while most AYCE sushi places have a small menu, Wasabi will let you order any roll on their regular menu. Also, the AYCE price includes your first drink, which a definitely a nice touch. There are only two things that kept me from giving Wasabi five stars. First, while the sushi was pretty tasty, I did occasionally get a "fishy" taste like it might have been sitting out a little too long. Secondly, the staff did not warn me how MASSIVE the rolls are when I ordered. I ordered four rolls and only finished three of them. They then charged me $1/piece for the roll I didn't eat. The rolls were also pretty heavy on rice so you tend to fill up fast. I understand why they charge for uneaten food, but hey, maybe tell your customers what to expect so they can make an informed decision. Otherwise, it looks a bit dishonest.

Wasabi now has $26 all-you-can-eat for dinner. I find myself coming here often (Sushi Katsu is $25 and is often overcrowded, and there's never a wait at Wasabi.) The tempura is lovely and they don't skimp on the shrimp tempura. The staff are friendly and nice. The rolls are tasty and the fish fresh. I definitely enjoy coming here to have sushi. At this point I think I am something of a familiar face by now. Staff here know to leave me alone when I'm eating alone at a table with my food and my Kindle, EXACTLY the way I want to be treated. (If I'm alone at dinner, I want waitstaff to bring me the food, and then leave me alone unless I need them--I'll call if I want something.) I have to admit that I prefer Sushi Katsu for the smaller nigiri, but in every other aspect, Wasabi is a VERY strong contender and one of my favorite local places for all-you-can-eat sushi for dinner.

Craving sushi? Here's a place. They have more on the menu (Shrimp Tempura Roll is most delish) and the Plum IceTea is uniquely refreshing and not too sweet. They added more seating in the back room (smart choice) which makes it great to catch a game . Yes, football at a Sushi restaurant..... Who would've thought? Take a spin off the traditional pub.

Very nice decor, clean, friendly staff. Lots of options for happy hour, both drinks and sushi. We ordered some salmon nigiri, the shrimp tempura roll, dragon roll, and crazy II roll. Everything was decent, nothing extraordinary, but amazing for $22. Dragon roll came with chicken, which was a first for me.

I had heard good things about this sushi joint, but unfortunately The quality of the food and the quality of the service was just not up to par with similar establishments. The all you can eat menu was not explained, service was slow, and although it was clear some waiters were trying to really give a good experience, the overall time spent was just not good. For the most part, sushi roles had very little character and little taste to make them stand out, and frankly speaking the Yakisoba was not only the best dish, but the best value as well. For $27 for all you can eat, and a la carte roles for over $10, your money is really best spent on the noodles. If you are looking for good food and a good value, try sushi Katsu down the road.

Yeah buddy!!! I have been to soooo many sushi restaurants in colorado since we moved here and this is the one!!!!! We walked in and was immediately greeted and seated, of our choice. We sat in a high table with lovely bar height chairs that, I thought, were very comfortable! We were introduced to the menu and was recommended the all u can eat sushi for $15 each. This was intriguing. I've never had that before. Normally my husband and I will spend anywhere between $50-$70 on sushi, this was $30??? Ok what's the catch? You have to eat it all!!!! If there is any leftover, you will have to pay for each piece or roll. I was still ALL IN!! We shared 5 rolls, which, to my amazement, we finished!!!!! I wasn't overly stuffed, but in the just right feeling. Glad I didn't order 6 hahaha! We were introduced to this place from a groupon gift from my mother in law. The groupon was worth $20. So we only paid $10 plus tax/tip! Cheapest and yummiest sushi!! Thank goodness she bought us two as a gift!!! Cause I'm going back for sure!!!!

This place was just ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. The rolls were just plain. Nothing to get excited about. I didn't feel like it was a good value at all. They have a full belly all you can eat, but why do you want to stuff yourself on not great food?

1 star because I tried making a delivery order. The food is about 4 stars at best. The delivery website was not working properly, so I called instead. A lady named Val answered and said delivery orders are only through the website, that's fine, but the website wasn't working properly, I even had to do research to find the phone #... Clearly their site needs work, I politely mentioned that, including the fact I live down the road and am a repeat customer..... she didn't care and proceeded to hang up on me. NOT good customer service, I will never be back and will tell my other sushi lovers the story and let them decide whether to give them business. Very disappointed!!

I called ahead of time to find out if this place was open. The answering machine said "Open from 11 amto 10pm, Mondays to Thursdays... etc" So I drove there and saw the OPEN sign on the door. I went in and saw another sign that says "Closed after 2:30pm to prepare for fish" or something. Totally wasted a drive there.

How in the world sushi chef doesn't know how to cook rice properly? Too much vinegar and overcooked. Felt like a risotto or an omelette. Imagine adding a raw fish... No wonder why they are lacking people.

Having lived in Japan, I learned how to prepare sushi and I know what good sushi tastes like. I was pleasantly surprised to experience and savor the delicious sushi offerings at Wasabi Sushi. Pros: The place is nice inside, with a rear area bar and lounge with couch and low, fat cozy chairs. It sports an outdoor patio which looks nice, but it's winter and covered in snow, so it's closed. The miso soup was fabulous and hot. My daughter and I chose a wide variety of nigiri which had generous pieces of fish that were very fresh. The rolls were okay, but rather unexciting. Our server Steven was friendly and attentive and when he found out we loved spicy, he brought out a little bowl of Sriracha for us. :-) Cons: The low, fat cozy chairs aren't cushiony on the bum. The walls in the lounge were lined with empty bottles of booze which made it look trashy. Another drawback was the rice underneath the nigiri fell apart every time we picked them up. That's a sign of old rice or lower quality rice. It also wasn't seasoned properly, as it needed more vinegar. They were very stingy about the amount of wasabi and ginger they gave you with your orders. It's in the name of this place, for crying out loud! When we asked for more, we were given a teaspoon amount. Meh. The tempura was heinous! Greasy as all get out! For these things, I deduct a star. Overall, good and tasty, but could use improvement. I may return. ;-)

This is your standard, cookie cutter, sushi restaurant. Nothing really that special about it, but not by any means bad. No need to drive across town to go here, but if you're in the neighborhood and want sushi (all you can eat), then by all means.

Customer service is always the first thing for me. Excellent. Johnny and Julian were super! Explained the menu and items. We came in (unknowingly) 6minutes before they closed for lunch. The food was delicious. We had the fox roll, dragon/chicken roll and wasabi special roll. They were $10 each. Little pricey but worth it for on occasional date night.

Came to try out their all you can eat sushi but turns out they do not offer all you can eat on a saturday lunch. Now to the food. Besides fresh fish, sushi rice is key for a good tasting roll. Unfortunately the rice here is as bland as white rice.

Decided to give this place another try because there are a couple items on their menu that I just love and can't find anywhere else. Seems like it has improved - new staff that is much friendlier and attentive. They did slightly raise the all-you-can-eat price but started including mochi for dessert. Yum! If they did some updates to the back seating area, that would help a lot.

Excellent sushi. Always fresh and prepared that day. Amazing selection. The staff is friendly and attentive. Happy hour is the best time to go or buy all you can eat for the best prices.

We eat here all the time. The sushi is usually very good and fresh. Sometimes the fish in the rolls can be a little skimpy, but that is rare.

Read Megan W's review, I was the third person in this party. Short story: 3 diners, evenly split bill, all receipts show correct amount, yet 3rd person in our party notices full amount charged to her bank account and supervisor pretty much refuses to correct. She is having to work with her bank's fraud dept to be reimbursed. Mistakes happen, but if you're unwilling to do the right thing for your customer, then I'm unwilling to be a customer. Well, Wasabi, when you burn two supporters of your restaurant in one sitting, it's going to sting. I have a feeling you're struggling, and are trying to keep up with the competitive DTC sushi market with all your recent menu changes, etc. But, you've lost our business because even the perception of fraud and the resulting lack of customer concern is never ok. And there's plenty of sushi game in this town.

Okay - they solved the problem...but still "Meh" after that experience. It shouldn't be that difficult to solve what is clearly an incorrect charge. I used to be a HUGE fan of this place until my last visit. When three of us split the bill evenly, I was charged the split amount...and my friend was charged for the entire bill. I thought there had to be some kind of mistake, but when I looked at her copy of the receipt the amount listed on there was the split amount. So something happened, and they charged her card an amount that was different from her receipt. Whoops?! Clerical error that is easy to fix, right? Uh, no. We tried to speak with the supervisor to have this corrected. The hostess wouldn't put him/her on the phone. Once the supervisor did call, there was a bit of a language barrier...which is fine...but he said that he would "take care of us next time I came in". Uhmmm...no thanks. Just fix the problem because it appears to be the waitresses error. Not only will I not come back here - but they've also lost the business of my colleagues who have heard this story. Groupon or no Groupon - I WILL NOT do business with ANY place that won't resolve an incorrect, borderline fraudulent charge. Especially since there are SO many other options nearby.

My favorite sushi spot mainly because of Robert (now at *Go Fish). He is on it from the moment u come in or in my case when I place my order ahead of time via phone. My table, drink n Miso soup is set up where I like it every time. Not too much later a boat of delicious fried sushi arrives. Hand crafted, fresh n mouth watering. My favorite is the Rasta, spicy tuna *deep fried and crazy 1. A must for lunch in the DTC with Co workers, solo, date and/ or fam .

It was great! I'd debate between a 4/5 and 5/5 on the food itself. But what takes this place to the next level is how nice our server was. He was so helpful and answered lots of questions we had. We had great service here. Better than most other sushi places I've been to! We got the Full Belly special (all you can eat sushi for $16 per person). Our favorites were the Wasabi Special Roll and the Unagi (smoked eel) nigiri (so good!)

A $20 Colorado's Best Deals brought us in for dinner on a Tuesday night. They have a new dinner menu and Happy Hour menu. I was disappointed that they did not offer the $10 Combo on their dinner menu. The coupon we used clearly stated that it was not good for Happy Hour, so we looked at the regular dinner menu. They are also open on Sunday nights again. We ordered an Edamame appetizer ($4.00), Washington Roll ($8), Salmon Skin Roll ($7), and a Windy City Roll ($8). We marked the sushi menu with a Dry Erase marker and handed it to the server. The Edamame was served in a cute little basket with the lid for our empty shells. The Edamame was boiled in salt water and sprinkled with more salt. I liked the saltiness, but don't prepare them like that at home. The 3 sushi rolls came out on a large wooden boat. The Salmon Skin Roll and a Windy City Roll looked very similar with tempura crunch and eel sauce on top. The Washington Roll had lots of white sauce on top. The server gave us the $3.25 price on the Edamame. I was pleasantly surprised. We will probably be back for Happy Hour.

The sushi was okay, the service was horrible & slow. The waitress saw that we had two menus marked and she only put in on of our orders. So 20 mins later my friend gets her food and I sit for another 10 and have to ask if my food will be here soon. Then the waitress who took our order didn't even come to explain what happened to my good, she sent another waitress to tell us. He was very kind but it bothers me that our first waitress just stood there and never came back to check on us. There was literally 3 tables so she had no excuse to not come check on us. No compensation no sorry from the original waitress and she only came back to take our check? You're kidding right? I will never come back here again. Save your time guys and check out Joy sushi in lone tree, they are the best.

Worst sushi we have ever had. Sushi was 90% chewy tough rice. Sushi chefs were eating while preparing our sushi, very fucking gross...we paid with a $100 bill and got change with 2 $20 bills, with what am I supposed to leave a tip? Never going again. I guess that's why we were the only people in there.

My husband and I have been here a few times. Even brought our little guy. Everything we have tried on the menu is great. We've ordered several rolls, miso soup, tempura, seaweed salad, and teriyaki chicken. It all has been fresh, flavorful and pretty quick! The prices are ridiculously low, especially during happy hour. They seem pretty new and some kinks need to be worked out with service, but nothing terrible.

Had a Living Social deal, so we stopped in for dinner the other night. It's nice, fun space. However, the tray at each of our place setting had sticky gross fingerprints on them....ick...not a good start ... However, the list of rolls was long and there was a really interesting variety of flavors. We loved the happy hour prices. Our waiter was nice enough, the sushi chef was great.

Let me start by saying Amakase. I arrived around 6pm and the host approached and said seat yourself. I walked around the restaurant before sitting at the bar. The bar up front because there is a bar in back. They have a few tv s and the seating is very upbeat and contemporary. Great for date night a night out with the guys and girls, and the family. The staff from the sushi chefs to the servers very friendly and actually hold a conversation with you. Not a i want a bigger tip conversation either. Those types really grind my gears. The manager comes around often and brings out complimentary soup while you wait for your sushi. 1st round Fried Philadelphia Maki and a Dragon roll and a Rainbow roll. It comes on a boat. How awesome is that. If I could buy a ticket on Wasabi boat lines I so would. Love the presentation of the sushi. Fresh Fresh Fresh Wasnt over packed with rice either. And their is a picture menu so you get a visual description and know what's in it. Plus they have options if you have allergies. Then I asked my server what he would recommend for my next roll. He suggested the Wasabi Special roll. And said after eating it I may just love him for it lol. Well he was right. It's a simple roll but seems to be the favorite with the crunchy maki on top it was like a sushi foodgasm in my mouth. I could go in there weekly and just load up on wasabi rolls. I checked out the dessert menu but my tummy didnt have room. I would of went overboard if I had one more bite. Check out the happy hour menu as wel. I shall be buying another ticket to hop on that boat again shortly.

Land of Sushi is not that far. Really, you just head west on Arapahoe. That statement alone will prevent me from ever returning to Wasabi. I got one of their lunch sushi options (some rolls) and the fish tasted -eh-. I didn't get sick, but it didn't have the fresh flavor of a good sushi place. All day $2.00 sake is a decent deal, and I appreciated it. Yet cheap sake isn't enough. They are also missing a sushi-sashimi sampler ( my favorite thing to order). Service was pretty spotty as well. I came in after my friends and didn't see a server for about 10 minutes. So summary Meh - Fish Meh - Service Happy - Sake Sake alone a sushi restaurant does not make

The sushi here is definitely among the better I've had here in Denver (and I moved here after a decade in L.A., so I will be "Another One of Those People" who talks about how he uses Los Angeles sushi as the yardstick), and I was especially impressed with the size and quality of the all-you-can-eat since typically AYCE is pretty mediocre fish or cut into teeny tiny rolls (or both). But Wasabi delivers a good deal for their "full belly" special, as they call it. Where the place fell down was service... My first time there, the dining room was 1/2 empty, but it still took forever to get my rolls, especially in between orders. At the end, I ordered 1 more roll with 1 more piece of nigiri, and I had to remind the servers like 3 times that I was still waiting for it when they came by to ask if everything was okay. I went back the next night to see if they'd just had an off night, but I experienced something similar -- I watched my initial order being brought to two other tables before they finally realized it was mine, I ordered a couple of pieces of nigiri I'd enjoyed the previous night but was served a different order, and the server offered me an order of sake as part of the full belly special when I placed my first order but it didn't show up at the table until I was almost done. I will probably go back for the food, but I'll have to keep the level of service in mind when I do.

I am so disappointed in the service tonight. Your hours say you're open until 9pm, we walked in at 8:20pm and ordered two all you can eat dinners. The host who seated us and took out drink order was friendly and brought us a good first round. The waitress who took over for him never bothered to introduce herself, she just took our order and brought out our food, refilled our drinks once when we got our meal. We got everything all at once, soup, appetizers and our rolls. Then she left us alone, never checked in or asked to refill our drinks. We stacked our dishes and she was stacking chairs out front. She brought us the check without even asking if we needed or wanted anything else, no thank you or smile. We asked for two more rolls and were told that she will have to ask the kitchen to reopen. She never explained that the kitchen was closing soon, just took our all you can eat orders. My boyfriend even said that there would be a round two. $26 is a lot to pay for a dinner, all you can eat or not, you could at least do your customers a favor and check in before you just close down. And don't make them feel guilty for asking for more food when it's an all you can eat deal. We had to ask for refills on our drinks, an Arnold Palmer and a Sprite with lemonade, she brought an iced tea and a lemonade, even after she said she knew what we wanted as she walked off with our empty cups. We have been loyal customers and usually rave about Wasabi. I am not sure that I'll return, especially if Robert is gone and this is the kind of service I can expect.

I just had lunch here for the first time, loved it. Staff is friendly. All you can eat sushi for 16 bucks is a steal. I know what you are thinking for 16 bucks must not be to good. Wrong, everything is fresh and was prepared in front of me as I sat at the bar. Just keep ordering until your full my kind of place. And the decor is nice and upscale for all you boogie people lol. I will be back for sure.

I eat a lot of sushi and this place has been great so far. The food seems fresh and every thing I order has been great. I always sit at the bar in a sushi restaurants so I can order directly from the chef. The chef here always gives good recommendations. I have been here three times, so far so good. I will be back for more!

Best sushi in Denver. Very creative rolls. The pepper seared tuna, scallop and the smoked salmon are great. Very friendly staff. Loved the all you can eat. We will be back!! The salads were all terrific especially the spicy seafood salad.

Short but simple. Food - pretty good, no complaints. Service - worst ever. Slow to seat, then slow for everything else including bringing the menus, ordering drinks, bringing them, food delivery, check too. The worst part was the lack of any sort of caring, like they knew how slow they were and we could do nothing but deal with it.

I've had lunch there twice. Both times the service was absolutely atrocious. Once I was seated, I was ignored and had to ask for a menu. When my order was finally taken, he missed a couple of items I had ordered and neglected to bring out a place setting with napkins and eating utensils even after my food finally arrived. This happened twice in practically the same manner on two different occasions. I had to get up and ask for a menu, a place setting, my beverage and my check. I could've probably just walked out and he would not have noticed. But I'm not that kind of a person. The tofu dashi appetizer was very good, once I received it towards the end of my meal.

Bought a Groupon and one lady said we could use it on hh, another server told us we couldn't. Ended up paying full price. The guy making the Sushi wouldn't let us order 5 min before hh ended, told us it was over. Not cool.

(2)Jenna N.
(2)Jason P.
We are from LA so we have some high standards in our sushi. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish, very attentive staff, and the decor were excellent. We will definitely stop here with each visit to Denver. Gunbai!
(5)Ruth C.
(3)Kristen H.
(1)Lee S.
A. I don't eat Sushi. B. My friends do. C. I ordered chicken. D. The service was poor to average. E. "The Sushi was average." F. My chicken was dry...had to pour soy sauce on it. G. I'll go across the parking lot to Maggie's
(2)Courtney B.
(3)Suzy D.

(5)julie n.

(5)Attisyn C.
Wasabi is a great sushi place. Service is quick and friendly. Fantastic happy hour. They also have a fantastic picture menu that shows you all the sushi. Great for novice sushi eaters. Stand outs for me are Haha Apple Sake and the Beth Roll.
(4)Paul G.
(3)Vincent D.
would have given a 4 star review except for one thing...
(3)Anna K.
(3)Wes T.
(4)Mike I.
(5)Kara H.
(3)Estee D.
Amazing...... I went the other night and had the all you can eat... The rolls were fresh and yummy. The service was impeccable. Frank was amazing..... The sushi bar staff was on point.... They were super busy and everything came out quick... Fantastic miso soup.... I will be back over and over...

(5)Lena K.
Our last dinner at Wasabi was so-so, but we gave it another try, and they delivered. I guess the key is to come when it's not too busy. We love their lounge area, and the sushi is tasty.
(4)Kristal A.
Great sushi, but HORRIBLE service. Had to get up to ask for what I wanted. Wait staff on their cell phones several types. I would go to a different place if you don't wanna get up to ask for more water and I even had to get up and ask for PLATES to eat on!!!

Food was good but service was awful First time there. Won't be back

Happy hour menu, good value. Loose rice on a couple of my Nigiri. Overall, a solid 3.
(3)Lexi F.
This place is great! we come about once a month the staff is friendly and a great environment.
(3)Mehdi K.

(1)Rishard C.
(3)Pete R.
Great sushi. Fresh, full of flavor and great service. Got a $50 Groupon for $35 and was able to use it toward the All You Can Eat menu, which had a surprisingly large selection of Nigiri and Rolls to choose from. The beer was ice cold and ambiance casual.
(4)Michelle H.

(5)Heike S.
we bought the $50 groupon for $35 and thought we would try this place.
(5)Venessa C.

(4)Ai Ling C.
(4)Sonja A.
(5)Kristine N.
(3)Connor G.

(5)J R.
This place was just ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. The rolls were just plain. Nothing to get excited about. I didn't feel like it was a good value at all. They have a full belly all you can eat, but why do you want to stuff yourself on not great food?
(2)Scott S.
(1)Frank S.
(2)Kevin K.

(3)Msi D.
(5)Aditya N.
Came to try out their all you can eat sushi but turns out they do not offer all you can eat on a saturday lunch. Now to the food. Besides fresh fish, sushi rice is key for a good tasting roll. Unfortunately the rice here is as bland as white rice.
(2)Kelly S.
Good sushi and great service. A little stingy with the wasabi and ginger but it's a nice place. The rolls don't really "wow" you but they're good.
(3)Linda K.
(4)Scott D.
Excellent sushi. Always fresh and prepared that day. Amazing selection. The staff is friendly and attentive. Happy hour is the best time to go or buy all you can eat for the best prices.
(5)Kenny H.

(2)Megan W.

(5)Josh P.

(3)Tina P.
(2)Marina B.
(1)Danica W.
(5)Pixie M.
(3)Demitri R.

So summary Meh - Fish Meh - Service Happy - Sake Sake alone a sushi restaurant does not make
(2)Keith B.
(4)Lisa D.
(1)Mike B.
(5)Mason G.
I eat a lot of sushi and this place has been great so far. The food seems fresh and every thing I order has been great. I always sit at the bar in a sushi restaurants so I can order directly from the chef. The chef here always gives good recommendations. I have been here three times, so far so good. I will be back for more!
(5)Lois P.
Great food, nice environment, nice servers. I recommend this place. I haven't had such great sushi in a while!!
(5)Steve F.
Best sushi in Denver. Very creative rolls. The pepper seared tuna, scallop and the smoked salmon are great. Very friendly staff. Loved the all you can eat. We will be back!! The salads were all terrific especially the spicy seafood salad.
(5)Jeff H.
(2)Genny H.
(1)David B.
Love the Sushi here. Really fast and friendly service. I would highly recommend if you are in the mood for some great Sushi!
(5)Jodi J.
Great lunch special combo. Perfect amount of food and great service! highly recommend the wasabi roll and shrimp tempura appetizer.
(5)Sonny E.
Bought a Groupon and one lady said we could use it on hh, another server told us we couldn't. Ended up paying full price. The guy making the Sushi wouldn't let us order 5 min before hh ended, told us it was over. Not cool.
