Celebrated 50th anniversary there last night. Very interesting menu. Margaret wanted lamb chops, they were very good. I had a vegetarian pasta dish, putanesca. Excellent service from Ezra and conversation with owner. Very friendly atmosphere, but the martini could have been a little stronger... I think it was the vodka they use, not enough or flavored. The salad menu looked very interesting and out of ordinary/creative. Will return!

I can't wait to enjoy the patio on a nice night. Other than that maybe they will get my drink order right.

Disappointing - that about sums up the three experiences I've had here (I really wanted to love this place :). The menu is creative, but the execution results in bland, poorly prepared food. The ambiance is warm and inviting, but the furniture and restrooms are just plain dirty. The wait staff is friendly, but on all three occassions our servers lacked attention to details and did not provide prompt service. The concept is amazing, but unfortunatley the reality of what's delivered is far from even meeting expectations.

My wife and I first went for a date night and loved it. Sat outside on the patio, had great service and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (Pork Loin was great!). We didn't know what to expect when we went back for the Mother's Day brunch but what an amazing spread! Eggs Benedict, seafood (amazing crab legs, lobster, oysters and more), salmon, cheese/fruit, meat cutting station, desserts galore and that's just the beginning. They really outdid themselves on this one. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

I was excited to try a new place and the place looked nice and the menu looked awesome. However I left with a feeling of pig in lipstick. The quality of the ingredients make for less than mediocre food at prices that demand better. To top it off service was subpar. This place needs a facelift.

I can't imagine why this place has only 3 starts on Yelp. This is easily one of the best kitchens in the state. It's my goal to eventually try everything on the menu. If you want to forget that Colorado is landlocked and love seafood try the Ivy Ciopino. I thought for about 30 minutes that I was back home in New England as every protein in it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The soups are always house made and impeccably crafted. Once I thought I had mistakenly ordered a vegan corn chowder but immediately upon my first bite realized it was at least 100 times better than the next best I've ever had. Since it was late they let me buy the remaining quart left in the pot for $5!

This was our 4th visit in the last couple of years always with a Groupon. They are very pricey for dinner. This is a special occasion kind of place. They used to serve complimentary olives and nuts, but we haven't gotten any the last 2 times. The server brought out a loaf of warm bread with whipped butter and oil & vinegar. They have seasonal menus. They just changed to their Summer Menu a few weeks ago which has fresh tomatoes in almost everything. The language on the menu is difficult to understand if you aren't familiar with preparation methods or unusual foods. We went early on a Saturday evening. The server was obnoxiously too attentive. My husband and I were afraid to take a sip of water out of our glass as the server would refill it. He even wiped up the crumbs on our table before the entree came out. With the Groupon, we shared the Crab Roulade appetizer. It was crab rolled inside a puff pastry. The crab was dry. We both ordered the Caesar Salad. It was smaller than the one we had 3 months ago. The choice is now a House or Caesar side salad which is a nice smaller portion. The other salads they used to offer with the Groupon were way too big and heavy. My husband ordered the Marcona Dusted Scallops with Jicama Avocado Slaw. There were 6 scallops on the plate covered with slaw. The portion looked small like an appetizer, but it was actually plenty of food. I ordered the Filet Medallions. They were over cooked for my liking. The server offered to send it back, but by then I had almost finished all of it. For dessert we ordered the Peach Flambe. It was served over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The peaches were thinly sliced and still had some crunch to them. It was very good. We may come back for brunch, lunch, or just dessert if we were to return.

Upon arrival I had very high hopes for this place. I went last Sunday 8/23/15. I live across the street and go to Southglenn often. Walking in the decor and atmosphere were both top notch and fancy. I was very impressed. Great service (Selah was my server) and great cocktails from the bartender. Food was excellent! I got the crabcakes eggs Benedict. My only complaint and THE reason I rated one star is because of a comment the assistant manager made to my friend. I will never come here again. He had the nerve to address that she looked hungover and had "semen" on her face from the night before. Not only is that NOT true but how is that in anyway professional? She and I were both so shocked. I asked his name and he said "Art". Thank you Art for making me never want to come back to Ivy ever again. And I'll be sure to let everyone I know (which is a lot of people. Born and raised in Centennial) that the management will make you feel utterly uncomfortable. A word of advise to the owner Jimmy- pick your employees well.

I keep wavering between giving this a 3 star or 4 star review. We went for our anniversary dinner; the food was delicious, the service was not. It started with trying to make the reservation: the first time I called I was hung up on. I called back, not offered an apology for what I'd like to think was just a mistake. The gentleman took the details of what day, party of 2, that we were celebrating an anniversary, and that I had a groupon. He then thanked me and hung up, I had to call again and point out we hadn't agreed on a time for the reservation, he laughed, we set the time and ended the call. We showed up on the agreed upon night and time, and sure enough there was no reservation booked for us! Luckily the place was mostly empty, so they sat us right away, but at a table covered in crumbs. We ordered a bottle of champagne, several minutes later the waitress came out with the wrong bottle, which we pointed out. Several more minutes later (after we had seen our waitress walking around taking care of other patrons) she said they were out of the bottle we ordered, the bar tender stepped in and said we needed to either settle for the bottle she tried to pass off on us the first time, or he would just give us 4 mini bottles of the kind we wanted. We settled for the 4 mini bottles, which the waitress then proceeded to pour into large wine glasses instead of champagne flutes. Then she cleared the butter away before we had finished the bread. At this point we stopped expecting this to be a fabulous night out. Never once did the staff here recognize that we were celebrating something or congratulate us or anything like that. They couldn't have cared less. Again, they weren't busy, so there was really no excuse for the poor service, and we left extremely disappointed by that. With that said, the majority of the food was fantastic! The lamb chop pops were awesome, the salad delicious, both of our entrees wonderful. The cake we chose for dessert was a little dry, but the entire dessert menu looked intriguing, I think we just chose the wrong thing. From the standpoint of food, we loved it. But the poor service keeps me from thinking of this as a high end restaurant. So I guess I just talked myself into limiting this review to 3 stars.

This was our first time dining here and our experience was excellent. Loved the decor and the location. Lots of parking. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with The meat and cheese platter, followed by the salad course (Heirloom Tomato Carpacio with Lobster Tempura and the Ahi Tuna Salad), our main courses were Filet Medallions and the Rib Rack special and for dessert we ordered the Limoncello Marscapone. Every single thing exceeded our expectations. Our server Steve was very informative and gave us stellar service. We look forward to returning and bringing some friends along next time.

After reading some of the reviews we were a little nervous about trying this place but had a Living Social and decided to go last night for New Years Eve. Server was very personable, helpful and attentive without hovering. Our table looked out on the Christmas lights and we enjoyed watching the ice skaters while sipping our wine. Crab cake app was so so, and I don't recommend it (super thin and mostly filler) but we thoroughly enjoyed everything else. Hubby ordered the ribeye (which is huge) and I got the beef Wellington, both were delicious. Chocolate raspberry mousse rounded out the meal. We would definitely go back.

Second time coming here, second bad experience, won't be back. Service is horrible. Sat at the bar for a friend's birthday drink and nosh. Friend tells the bartender she is SEVERELY allergic to any bell peppers and mango. She asks if the crab tower has either just to be safe, even tho the menu doesn't specifically list them. Bartender asks the kitchen, comes back and says no so she orders it. The dish is served and is wrapped in mango and topped with red pepper, pretty significant ingredients to the dish. My friend mistook the mango for corn bc corn was an item listed on the menu description but mango was not. But no, it was mango. She could have gone into anaphylactic shock right there. The bartender kinda blew it off, no apologies, no extra service, nothing. He did leave the first crab tower for the people not deathly allergic to it's ingredients. The atmosphere here is nice. It's a shame the service is lackluster at best bc the food can actually be pretty good. The lamb pops were good, ahi tuna salad good, fried oysters tasty, excellent dirty martinis.

Ivy at the Glenn has a creative menu that I would put up against anybody's in the Denver area. It's a seasonal menu and the ingredients are locally sourced. The Feta Saganaki small plate is one example of an original dish. It's a generous portion of Feta lightly browned on the outside, and served with flatbread and roasted peppers. The server finishes it at the table by soaking it in Ouzo, lighting it on fire, then dousing it with the juice of half a lemon. For my main course, I had filet medallions served over a bed of gazpacho and pureed potatoes. My wife had the pork tenderloin, which was slightly overcooked - our one quibble with the meal. The bananas foster is prepared tableside by combining butter, brown sugar, and brandy. The bananas are added, then the whole thing gets ignited (they sure do like to light things on fire there), then poured over a dish of ice cream. Also, the bartender mixes a variety of interesting cocktails, and is not afraid to come up with creations that are not on the menu. The servers were friendly and genuine, and they clearly care about their business and their customers. We had a chance to meet the chef as well. Though the conversation was casual, his passion for cooking and culinary creativity came through. One note about timing - it gets pretty busy between 6-7:30, so if you don't like crowds, you may want to make your reservation before or after that time period. Ivy at the Glenn is a pleasant dining experience for the casual diner and foodie alike.

Wifey and I have wanted to try this spot for awhile (our usual date night is Hodson's, right up the street). Finally did tonight- don't plan on ever returning. Ambience was nice- classy, decently intimate. Staff that we interacted with were all friendly enough and seemed happy to help. So far so good. Dinner Menu- the Ivy offers seasonal menus without a lot of options. Small plates/Salads/Entrees. We decided against a Small Plate, but split a delicious Kale & Quinoa salad. Personal preferences, but I felt the options for entrees were a little disappointing. Wife went with a burger and I got the pork tenderloin. Burger was decent, but the only highlight was the side of fries... Pork Tenderloin was overcooked yet decent, but certainly nothing special. Overall, meh. Value- this was the nail in the coffin. Based on the mediocre quality, I think I would have felt uncomfortable paying HALF of what I did for this meal. It was ridiculous. And it wasn't just the food- I ordered a cocktail before dinner. Nothing fancy, just a regular Manhattan. Made it too sweet (whatever, that's fine), then charged me $15 for it. I don't mind an expensive meal if it is worth it- this spot isn't.

What. The. F**k. Went to the Ivy tonight for my 3 year anniversary and this was the WORST experience I have ever had at ANY restaurant. Sitting in the restaurant for OVER 3 hours for dinner is NOT what I expected for a night out to dinner. Our waiter was alright (I was told it was his 2nd nite) but for f-sake: our table was never cleaned up (I ended up stacking plates and pushing them to the edge of the table just to bring attention to the mess). Bread and cheese plate were decent but the scallop dish tasted like I was eating rubber bullets, the tuna was chewy, and the wedge salad was disgusting. Tip: Cook the scallops for only about 2-3 minutes, tuna should be seared not well done (I ordered mid-rare), and the butts to the lettuce should NEVER be given to your diner. Add that to having to write down my Groupon information (and you asked for my address and phone number- what for?!?), all the waiters were sweating into peoples dishes, you kept the doors open and people were swatting at bugs the entire nite, and your bathrooms being absolutely atrocious: Ivy, I will NEVER dine in your restaurant again. And from the sounds of it from diners who sat around me, neither will they. And to think: I use to really like your breakfast. Pity.

Awful. To start we had to ask that the music be turned up so that it would drowned out the chatter of the chef and kitchen personnel's inappropriate conversations. Next, it was an in ordinate amount of time before drink orders and appetizer orders were taken, only to have the appetizer show up a few minutes before our meal. The meal was marginal at best and a complete disappointment. In addition to that, the fastest thing all evening was requesting in receiving the check. this place desperately needs help, front of the house and back of the house. Save your time and money, avoid Ivy at the Glenn.

We've been here 3 times now. The first experience was fantastic. We always sit at the bar and we came in after HH. We shared the kale salad which was amazing, a burger that was good and fries that were phenomenal and split the pork soulvaki which had great flavor. The second time we came in for happy hour and split a few noshes and left largely unimpressed. The fries weren't as good, the couscous was dry, and the kale salad was 1/2 yellowed and wilted. We dropped in on Friday with a Groupon and had a full dinner. We started with the cheese plate and that was very good. It is large and comes with 4 different cheeses, bread, fig jam, almonds, grapes, and olives. The mozzarella (made in house) is just OK, but the goat, brie, and bleu were all terrific. The marinade for the olives was delicious. I then had the arugula sald with plums and this was just OK. Nothing terribly exciting. Hubs had the Romaine Wedge and that was very good. The bacon is tasty and the bleu cheese dressing is great. For our mains, I had the special which was a Roasted Sea Bass with ratatouille and roasted fingerlings and garlic tomato sauce. It all sounded fantastic but was not anything of note. The fish was cooked well but the sauce tasted like a souless Ragu and the ratatouille was bland too. It's easily something I could replicate at home and make it better. Hubs had the beef- a NY strip with a short rib in a wine sauce and roasted carrots and potatoes. A very comforting dish but again- no well-developed flavors that made you long for the recipe. It was very basic. For dessert we chose to share the flourless torte which was nice and warm. It had a nutella powder that was ok but kind of unnecessary. All in all, I think we will return to sit at the bar and have a couple appetizers but for its price point, we would choose to go elsewhere for a nice meal. It's a good option for SouthGlenn, but not worth the drive if you're out of the area. Service is terrific. The server gave us great recommendations and did not steer us wrong and was quite attentive all evening. Last thing, their happy hour pretty good. Half off all drinks from 3-6 M-F, I believe, and there is a bar menu as well that offers some food at a bit of a discount.

ABANDON HOPE, ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE. #KITCHENNIGHTMARES I've given this place a number of chances because it's literally next to my office. Each experience is worse than the last. Uhhh... where to start? How about racist and homophobic jokes from server? Went there with a few co-workers for holiday cocktails 2 years ago. One of the waiters decided to tell us jokes... 'Here's a cute one...' ... followed by a homophobic joke that seemed to be an outtake from the bad guys speech in the Tom Hanks movie Philadelphia. Later, racist joke. So there's that. This week - VP and Director in-town for dinner. Once a year thing. Ended up at the Ivy. Party of five, they wouldn't seat us at a whole table but pulled two together. Really? When we left, nice big tables were still avaialble.... Beer selection is awful -awful. In Denver, Colorado they are proferring Stella, Paulaner Wheat, etc.. Okay. Bread / butter / olive oil & balsamic plate brought to table. Server couldn't put it down vertically, olive oil ended up spilling into bread area. Later when retrieving it after we were done eating my buddy told me it was a few degrees of tilt away from pouring olive oil into my wine glass. I ordered duck breast. Came out on a bed of grains (not flavored... not even salted?) that was on top of too-sweet sweet potato glaze / puree. Duck breast not seasoned, skin was the opposite of crisp... nothing was hot... lukewarm at best. Seriously, you made a duck breast plate taste not that good? Two folks in the party got the pork loin. Two huge slices of underseasoned pork per plate, with gnocchi that seemed fried or baked... they both commented on how weird the gnocchi was. 'Tastes like flour, right?' I tried one and agreed that it was again, not seasoned and seemingly not fully cooked, with taste of unseasoned flour as you chewed. Buddy ordered a burger and fries... his was the last plate to come out... the fries were not cooked through. Pale, uncooked in the center... obviously not cooked twice as you would with fries... but these wren't even all-the-way cooked once! $30 a plate for dinner.... never again. Final detail - slipped on wine cork that was left on floor while walking to restroom. An older man with gray hair who I assume is the owner was sitting at the bar by the front door. Get up and make sure things are right or get out of business.... WTF, indeed.

Fantastic every time. Have had dinner, drinks, and brunch there and each time the staff has been knowledgeable and attentive. Let me sample wines before choosing a glass. Brought complimentary muffins to the table at brunch and then at the end complimentary mini ice cream cones. Very clean, nice ambiance, beautiful, shady patio. Think this should be a no-brainer 'go-to' dining spot!

We so enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Ivy at the Glenn. We had reservations on a weeknight, and were given our choice of tables. We ordered a couple of drinks, and then I got the house salad. I unsuccessfully tried not to devour the whole thing. It had strawberries, goat cheese, marinated cucumbers, and toasted almonds, topped with sherry vinaigrette. Usually my husband and I share the appetizer salad, but I accidentally hogged it all for myself. For the main course, I had the pork tenderloin, and my husband ordered the beef tenderloin. I was afraid that I would have order envy, since steak sounded good to me, but I loved every bite of my meal. The tenderloin was crusted in pinot noir, accompanied with a red wine sauce, kale, pureed veggies, and mushrooms. It was beautiful as well as delicious. Nate's meal was a little more meat and potatoes than mine, which is exactly what he likes. The ambiance, service, and food were all fabulous.

This was our second trip - on the first occasion we waited an hour for our table despite arriving on time for our booking on a Saturday night. But food was quite good, and we decided to give them a second go. But our Sunday brunch was one of the worst service experiences I have witnessed. Just a few highlights, the waiter asked us to pass our food down the table for him (there were 8 of us). Even more bizarre was when he asked us to pass back down the dirty plates. Their crowning achievement was a waitress dropping a hot burrito down my wife's back. And they didn't even offer a discount on the bill. The food would have been good if it had been hot. Just hopeless, deserves to close rapidly.

Must have a new chef? We were semi-regulars up until tonight. Food was awful! Service was decent. This restaurant is also no longer on opentable -- as they have no customer base hence they have skimped on food quality. This restaurant will not be open much longer which is too bad as the location is convenient and the food used to be consistently excellent. RIP Ivy.

So.... If ambiance would only be all that matters this would be an excellent restaurant. Unfortunately that is not what makes great restaurants great. food first looks 2nd. Let me explain the good first then the laundry list of why this restaurant if they keep up this kind of less than quality eats will have this place out of business by fall. Great - bananas foster, chocolate cheese cake K, now for why you should save your appetite for better places They served us what I swear was the worst prime rib I've ever had could not even cut it with a steel chainsaw if you could navigate the 3inch wide fat deposits, Chilean Sea Bass that they actually filleted into 1/3 thick prices, mashed potatoes that I promise were insta potatoes. Then there was Italian dressing Caesar with crusty Anchovies. Sorry to say this was a double thumbs down!!!!

Went in for dinner last night because we had a coupon from our son's school. Just sat at the bar which was comfy and nice however that is really the only thing that was nice about his place. The atmosphere and space has such potential but the food is just really bad unfortunately. The bartender was really sweet and helpful however the poor girl was really overwhelmed and they seemed completely understaffed for the crowd that was there. When we walked in the hostess was on the phone but barely even acknowledged us and when we asked if the front door could be closed because it was rather chilly she seemed very annoyed at us. We had fried avocado which was pretty tasty, soup which was just okay, nothing spectacular and then shared a burger and fries and it was just not good at all. The burger was really small and way smaller than the bun and very dry, the mushrooms on top almost taste like canned mushrooms. The fries were really underdone and soggy. My husbands beer was great! I had a white wine that I typically love but it was really warm and for white wine that's not a good thing. I want this place to do well because it's in a great space in a great center but it really needs to step up its game!

This place has gone very downhill this past year or so. We went there to dinner tonight. First - the seating was terrible. I was seated on a bench in the middle of a seam - ahem not comfortable. We had to scoot the table. Next, it was dirty - the floors, seating and bathroom was disgusting. The suggested white wine was no better than lighter fluid. My salad was swimming in dressing and topped with cold greasy slimy tempura lobster and was missing the featured fresh tomato and pea sprouts. The other items we ordered were just passable. It used to be so much better. :(

I have eaten here a many of time in which the service and food was great. You can sit outside when the weather permits or inside. It is a great place for a first date or to take your best girl to as it will impress anyone who goes there.

We waited for our food well over an hour and the restaurant wasn't busy. Food is EXPENSIVE and potions tiny. The best part of the meal was the tiramisu which seriously took about another 30 min to come out. Again, not busy. Don't mind paying more for food if it's good quality and the service is good. Major dissapointment!

I'll be as kind as possible but the entire experience was terrible. This larger set short waiter was annoying. He literally messed up the entire order, food items came out to us in a completely wrong order. I mean let's have an appetizer served at the end of the meal because the server forgot. How about forgetting a drink order until then end of the meal. Now let's talk food. The food was mediocre at best. Way over-priced for what you get. It's definitely nothing special. We will pass on this restaurant next time. The entire experience was just something out of a scary movie. There are too many choices in the area. Next!

NOTE: Spring menu. The ladies sitting at the table next to us who got super drunk and were gossiping extremely loud. It was still pretty entertaining, so it was fine. This is just something to keep in mind if you go in for a dinner during happy hour not something that actually bothered me. We came in for an early dinner at 5pm and had the super comfortable seats next to the fireplace. We had the appetizer with the hummus, nuts, olives, pita, chicken, and pork kebabs. I think I could have just eaten the appetizer and been super happy. Everything was cooked well and the collection was plated nicely and all went well together. I picked the soup of the day (clam bisque) and my wife had the lobster tempura salad. The lobster tempura salad was ridiculously amazing, and I would go back just to have that again. The clam bisque was kind of disappointing. It kind of tasted like canned clams or something gross like that. I never had clam bisque before though, so I assume that it tasted pretty normal for clam bisque and just ate it. For our entrees, I got the seafood special (halibut with some curry sauce on top, lobster-bacon grits, stir fry vegetables) and my wife got the veal and something manicotti (I don't recall the other meat). My wife's meal completely changed my perspective on manicotti. It was amazing. My meal was extremely delicious as well although I could only eat some of it because I was already mostly full at this point. Our dessert was the bananas foster for two. It was delicious as well although not much to write home about (it's just bananas foster after all). Unfortunately, we wanted the devils food cake dessert, but they were out of it. Our waiter was very attentive and always kept our water glasses full. I think I had something like five refills in the hour that we were there because I was so thirsty from before the dinner. He was nice and chatty as well. Definitely 5 stars on the service. I had a Groupon to this place, so the value was great for me. At their normal prices, I would say the value is okay, but the drive is too far for me to be a regular here. So in the end, -0.5 stars for the clam bisque that was actually kind of... gross... I want to give the place 4.5 stars, but I cannot. It is not deserving of a low 4-star rating (since that's how society treats ratings nowadays), so I will give it a 5-star rating and let the recent super negative reviews balance it out.

Waited over an hour for brunch. When we finally got our food, my sandwich had wrong ingredients and missing ingredients. Then, the "chef" wanted to know what was wrong with my sandwich. Really? I had him bring me the sandwich and read the menu to me. It wasn't that hard to figure out, right "chef"? Disappointing.....

Came to Denver to visit from NY and was recommended to The Ivy. We were greeted warmly, sat near the fireplace, and was served by Nate who was awesome. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Jimmy who thanked us for stopping by and even stuck around to talk to us for a few. The food was absolutely amazing! For dinner I had the lamb, Lizzys mac n cheese with all 3 options for toppings. We also ate the short ribs and veggies which was very delish! Would definately recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy a great meal with a beautiful rustic/contemporary ambiance!

We ate at this establishment after a friend recommended this place from restaurant week. They accommodated a large party which I appreciated. I made reservations on open table which the restaurant called personally to confirm which was nice. I informed that I had 8-14 people RSVP and they said it was not and issue if our number changed which I also thought was great that they were willing to accommodate. Our first server was Stephanie, she was wonderful. Her shift ended while we were there and a younger guy took over and that's when the night got ruined. He couldn't get our orders right nor our bill. Took about 45 mins to settle the bill itself. The credit card supposedly went down while swiping my card. My husband ran and got cash to settle the bill. Upon my surprise my credit card shows two swipes. TWO each a different amount. When I called the manager on duty Marilyn apologized for the over charge and then quickly brushed it off saying that the owner was at a silent auction that night and heard about the mishap later. That's it. No offer to try to make it up to us no discount no real apology. No thanks but I will not return. Shame. The restaurant could have had potential.

They Could NOT Care Less! Arrived at the bar at 7 p.m., just for drinks on a Sat. Bartender, Mark, starts pouring my drink in a glass slobbered with caked yellow pulp around the rim. "Look at the glass!" I say. His response? "Ooops. We serve a lot of Mimosas." While he's getting a new glass, a server comes and says to him, "Customer wants a new glass," pouring red wine down the drain. At this point my friend and I exchange glances. . . Dirty glasses seem to be part of the menu here. As we were leaving, I slipped and fell at the entrance due to a pool of grease on the floor which I saw too late. My wrist and forearm are still bruised and swollen 24 hours later. The woman at the front desk looked at me getting up and shrugged. I said, "There's grease on the floor." And she shrugged again. A waiter walking by was similarly dis-interested. Horrible service would be a compliment. When you add slimy glasses and all-around unsanitary conditions to your bill, the Ivy gets to feel really, really creepy. How are these people in business?

I joined a couple friends here for dinner before a movie, and was quite pleased with our meal overall. The restaurant offers ample space but isn't huge, so it's appropriate for friends or for a more intimate evening. We were seated directly in front of the huge gas fireplace - it got a bit warm, but was charming. Our appetizer (we shared the steak skewers) was excellent - a highlight of the meal. The meat was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. For the entree I had the NY Strip. It arrived a bit overcooked, but nothing to complain about. Again, it was well seasoned and very tasty. However, the vegetables accompanying it were nearly raw. That's no big deal for the carrots, but for the squash it was... odd. They have a decent wine list, and we ended up with something from Dave Matthews' winery (hey, I learned that Dave Matthews has a winery). It was actually quite good. Service was attentive without being obnoxious, and prices were fair. Considering that most dining option in the area are a bit more casual, Ivy is a nice place to visit if you're looking for something other than pizza.

Over the last year or so, Ivy at the Glenn has become one of our favorite places. It's a little to pricey for every day so we don't go often, but every visit has been consistently great. The servers are all fantastic, and the menu changes seasonally. Everything is always fresh. We've tried steak, pasta, salads, chilled soups, roast chicken, and pizza, and never had a bad dish. Our most recent visit was in March for 5280 week. Ivy went above and beyond and essentially made their whole menu available at the $52.80 price, where you could pick three courses between soup, salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert. I thought this would be a nice change of pace for those who don't have a sweet tooth. The caprese salad was the only iffy part of the meal, and that's my bad for ordering fresh tomatoes in the offseason. The knife-and-fork Caesar was fantastic. My husband loved his prime rib, which came with delicious mashed potatoes. I had the pork tenderloin, which was tender enough to cut with a fork and came with awesome mashed sweet potatoes. Tempted by fire-y things, I made sure we had the Bananas Foster for Two for dessert and I would highly recommend this. Their wine list, on an iPad, is extensive and reasonably priced. The bar is beautiful and well-stocked as well, with some delicious ports and my husband's new favorite Scotch whisky. Our waiter took his time and was helpful without being obtrusive, and had great suggestions. Suburbanites, you don't have to deal with parking downtown to have great food. Definitely give Ivy at try.

Ivy at the Glen is a favorite destination for celebrations or a nice meal out. We are continually surprised and impressed by the warmth of the service and the creativity of the menu. We would highly recommend the restaurant for a family or couple. Jimmy and his team have become like family to us. Enjoy!

Don't bother. Over priced lack luster food. The scallops were burned on one side and raw on the other. Risotto had no flavor and could have been rice colored yellow. They served the very burned asparagus. When I complained, the next batch was also burned- not grilled. Save your money and skip this place.

John was an exceptional waiter. The food was great, but make sure you capitalize on a Groupon or Denver daily deal, cuz it's expensive. Order the bananas foster if you have room or even if you dont- it's prepared TABLESIDE and is deliciously memorable.

I've eaten dinner here probably 10 times. I like the menu that changes with the seasons. The lamb is my favorite, any way they prepare it. I've also had the beef tenderloin, pasta, scallops, and other seafood entrees and have not been disappointed. We had a few of different appetizers with mixed results (the tuna tartar and beef satay were two that were off the mark). Nice wine list too. I've always had good service. The one odd thing is that the owner (I think he is the owner) is almost always there (sitting at the end of the bar), but I've never seen him walk around and ask how things are.

We tried the Ivy for 5280 week. Right from the start, it was off. The hostess tried to seat is at a two top crunched between other diners and at the exact moment one table was having something prepared table side. The restaurant wasn't busy & we had a reservation, so this was just a poorly trained hostess. We told her we'd rather sit on the patio since we weren't offered another choice inside. We were seated outside & it took ten minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us & bring water (my hunch is the hostess forgot to tell him we were out there.). There was another server outside and she was wonderful. Ours was not- he did okay at first, but when he brought our appetizer out (a meat plate with toasted crostini), the crostini were burned. No excuse- the server should have sent them back to the kitchen; you never serve burned food. The salad & entree were tasty- my husband had the lamb & it was well prepared with two good sized chops. My scallops were okay, but there were only 3 and I was disappointed with the pistachio crust which was merely toasted pistachios which were sprinkled on the scallops. We love fine dining restaurants and think this one has potential, but I don't plan to return. My money is better spent elsewhere.

I just had one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The waitress, Savannah, was unhelpful and standoffish. I ordered a Greek salad, which didn't have anything on it. I asked the waitress if it was supposed to have feta cheese. She said that she 'thought so' (it was on the menu). She brought out a teeny side of cheese. I then remembered that it was also supposed to have pepperoncini peppers. She brought out another teeny container. I looked at a menu, and realized that there was no cucumber either. So basically, they tried to charge me $15 for a salad with romaine and olives, and even with all of my nagging, I didn't get my complete salad. Nothing tasted fresh either. It tasted like it sat in a fridge forever. I ate less than half of this, and she didn't ask if everything was ok. I was charged $15 for that disaster. I will never return.

Centered at the South Glenn Mall. We sat outside with a nice view of the water fountain. It had just rained so it was nice and brisk out for dinner. Great ambience inside and outside. All the employees were attentive and helpful. We used a groupon good for a four course meal for two for $65 (May still be available if you're reading this). Their menu is seasonal. Bread and butter was good! We had tuna tar tar for appetizer, I had the fish of the day (Chilean seabass with cold gazpacho. Didn't like gazpacho being cold), husband had the tenderloin with fried potatoes, had the chocolate molten cake (didn't like it). Server was nice to give us our 2nd choice which was the white chocolate Creme brûlée. OMG THAT was so good!! Overall experience was great. Going to buy more Groupons!

Went here for brunch and bottomless mimosas last weekend. The bottomless mimosas/bottomless bloody Mary's are served until 2, and only $7.50, less than the usual $10 you pay at places like the Tavern, Rialto etc... I had the eggs benedict and had to send one of the eggs back because it was overcooked and the yolk was hard, but it wasn't a big deal and they got me another perfect egg quickly. My boyfriend really liked the breakfast burrito he got, it was almost too much food for him to finish! My benedict was good, the only thing I didn't like is they use a "praline bacon" which is very sweet, not exactly the flavor profile of a benedict. I would have preferred Canadian bacon or even regular bacon. Service was good, it was windy on the patio where we were and our server offered to move us inside, not something they usually want to do for fear of losing a table to another section. This place did seem understaffed, only 3 servers that I could see, on a Sunday afternoon which slowed down service a bit. Nothing unbearable but not as attentive as it would have been if they were appropriately staffed. The inside of this place is beautiful. We were at a half table/half booth and didn't have anyone directly near us but if the restaurant had been full we would have been able to reach out and grab something off the next table, they are that close together. I think this place has potential.

I'm not from Denver, but was in town for the weekend to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday. The ambiance of the flowers outside, and the wood wall and giant peppermills made this seem like it would be a fun, beautiful place to celebrate our friend. The menu was interesting and had lots of choices. Our server kept pushing the bottomless bloody mary's and bellinis. We did the chips and salsa and fried guacamole for an appetizer. Way too much celery seed in the salsa. I had the chicken and asparagus crepes. I'm not a huge fan of Hollandaise sauce so I should've asked for it on the side. My meal came flooded in it. We shared a Key Lime creme brulee for dessert. It tasted more like a canned Key Lime Pie filling with browned sugar on top. Overall our experience was ok. I"m not a big foodie that is going to complain about every measly thing. But here's the deal, when a bill for 4 women at lunch, is way over $100 I would expect better than a so so lunch. That's all it was, so so. The menu seems varied and interesting but the food didn't live up to my expectations. That coupled with the huge flies everywhere and the server wearing a uniform that looked like it had never been washed leaves me to say there are better restaurants nearby!

This is our first trip to ivy. We decided to stop in for brunch. It wasn't very busy and it was a pleasant morning so we decided to sit on the patio. The brunch menu is fairly simple, but I prefer it that way. I had the Breakfast Burrito and my wife had the Fritata. We also shared an order of Praline Bacon. Everything was great. The Burrito was very different, but great. And I can't even begin to describe the Bacon other than to say "yum". With 2 coffees the Bill was very reasonable at about $26. We'll be back.

Needed to fill our stomachs and pretty much just went to the first spot we saw where we could sit eat and drink with five adults and a one year old. Ivy was that spot and wasn't packed at all on a Saturday night which was sort of surprising for such a busy area. Regardless, the ambiance was nice and food was amazing. Between the wife and I we had the pork tenderloin and the short ribs and it was perfectly cooked, had tons of flavor and the presentation was beautiful. Definitely a nice restaurant to take a date to or have a special celebration if you want to dress up. They change drink specials throughout the year and the service was decent. Kitchen is viewable from the dining area so you can see them cooking your meal and the bar had a good number of seats. The wall with tree stumps looks pretty crazy too. I would definitely recommend this place and appreciate the attention to detail they put on the food. The flavors of everything you eat here reflects the interior decor. Even the freaking bathroom was nice. On that note, everything we ate was da $#!t.

We ate dinner here without a reservation recently. It was less crowded than the other restaurants in the area, maybe because it is more pricey than most. Our food included a very nice cup of homemade chicken soup, wedge caesar salad, dinner burger, roasted beets salad. It was all good. Now a bill of $95 (tip included) for 2 salads and one burger (2 drinks each for 2 of us) does seem high, but we enjoyed what we had and likely will return. Ingredients were fresh, service average, ambience good.

You can destroy a reputation in a single night...and tonight was the Ivy's night. I've dined here on many occasions...and admittedly had seen some deterioration in service and quality but was ever hopeful. Arrived a little before 5pm...what should have been a pleasant experience became a hostage experience that ran to 3hrs. You can't blame our server, Paulie, who we heard was on only his 2nd day...he did his best. The kitchen and the GM on the other hand...I can't say the same. The appetizer and the happy hour special 1/2 price on a bottle of wine is where we should have stopped...we'd have been happy. The cheese platter was excellent. Then came the wedge salad. Ummm, you're not supposed to use the butt end of the head of lettuce. Or how about a simple detail like busing the table after each course and replacing utensils? Our table was only bused after we'd effectively bused it ourselves. Refills of water? Every 60-90minutes. No, we weren't eating that slow, we'd sit with a gap of 30min-1hr between courses. They'd run a Groupon...the restaurant was packed, not an open spot anywhere. Does that excuse what I heard was a filthy women's restroom with a plugged toilet? Or my scallops that were sad, over cooked pencil erasers? On the plus side we did have a bonding experience with the nearby tables...laughing and joking about the pitiful wait and inconsistency from the kitchen. Of course we heard other tables complaining quite a bit more forcefully and saw several trying to cash out by walking to the register because they were tired of waiting. I have to wonder, when your restaurant is full and busy, where was the GM? Checking on tables and insuring that guests are happy and satisfied? When somebody is prepared to own up to a debacle, a reputation can be saved. So much potential...but the execution misses the mark. I don't know when I'll have the nerve to try the Ivy again...perhaps only for an appetizer at happy hour since that seems to be the limit to their capability.

My family and I had brunch here to celebrate Fathers day. Our table of 6 was completely astonished by the poor service and lack of attention from this restaurant. Our bottomless mimosas only went to the bottom of the first drink. My coffee was never refilled even when asked. Our food took 1 1/2 hours to come out. The complimentary muffins had to be asked for and the ice cream at the end was never offered. I believe we were most understanding as other tables got up and left after due to the same service. I understand that things happen from time to time. We believe that they ran into a problem with staff or just got a new chef. In that case, the manager should be on his game enough to notice the problem and come around to the tables to offer apologizes and explanations. We were not the squeaky wheel in this case, so nothing was said or taken off our bill at the end. I hope they get their act together because The Ivy has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately I will never return to see if they do.

I had to wait 40 minutes for my fritatta and it looked about as appealing as when I cook my egg whites in a microwave. At least mine takes 90 seconds to prepare. The waiter appeared to be uninformed, lashed out when asked questions (and there were a few as half the items listed on the menu were never brought out), and spent most of his efforts hiding from his customers. I observed the table next to us having an identical experience with him. He was obviously frightened and poorly trained and I actually felt somewhat sorry for him. Extra star for a pretty spot and flowers and fountain outside.

Unbelievable that Ivy believes that its $22 "risotto" dish shouldn't actually contain risotto. When I ordered the "Risotto, made only of mushroom, parsnip, potato with thyme oil" I received a bowl with a small serving of mushrooms, tiny potato cubes and parsnips instead of a risotto-based dish. When I complained that my Risotto entree didn't actually contain Risotto my waiter presented me with the menu specifying this fact. Seriously! I'm to assume that Risotto wouldn't have Risotto?! The woman at the next table had the same opinion but didn't complain. They compensated me 10% when I complained. Terrible customer service - the manager or chef should have come to talk to me. Never again! We've tried 4+ times. I'm tired of trying to like this restaurant when they truly don't care about food quality or customer satisfaction.

We went for a friend's birthday. Horrible service. We had a large party, and the waiter barely came by to check on us. We had to shout our orders at him as he passed by because he definitely did not want to stop and ask if we wanted anything. The food took least 45 minutes to come out. My husband and a friend ordered braised short ribs and they came out cold in the middle. The waiter asked if we wanted him to microwave them for a minute. The chef came out to "apologize" which was really more arguing why it was perfectly normal for them to be cold. We will not be back. Overall, just too much money for a meal when the service and food are not on point 100% of the time.

The venue is superb but the service is lacking. Apparently the chef and/or owner spend zero time explaining the menu to the wait staff and no one cares about the details. Right when we walked in the manager/owner was chastising the receptionist for not having prepared the new spring time menus to hand out. When asked how the shrimp was prepared the waitress said "it's cooked all the way through", she had no idea how many ounces the salmon or filet medallions were. The menu said Tempura green beans but failed to mention they were dusted with Cayenne pepper or paprika, which I liked, but my parents thought were too hot. I jokingly ordered the "interesting red" and the waitress said ok and I had to stop her to say Malbec, which she then again said ok and began to walk away at which time I had to stop her and tell her which one of the three I wanted. The apple and pare tart comes with ice cream as well which is not mentioned on the menu. Waitress never checked back once food was delivered to see how the meal was and took so long to clear plates, order another drink, order desserts, etc...I want this place so much to succeed but with the service and lack of attention to detail, I won't be back. At these prices, heck, just hit Del Friscos or better yet, Yard House for better service and actually, just as good food.

I just had the worst dining experience I have ever had. The Ivy came highly recommended and I will say, the food was good. They were so severely understaffed that it was a struggle getting water in a restaurant that was extremely warm. Our poor waiter had sweat running down his face (yuck). I was served the wrong entrée (steak instead of sea bass) and it took about 20 minutes to get the correct one. When I asked to speak to a manager, she came over and told me she knew they were understaffed - she herself was waiting tables! We ordered bananas foster for dessert and receive a bowl of melted vanilla ice cream with bananas. Many people near us were also upset about the service. Honestly, it was not the waiter's fault - he really needed help. We were told that there one busser for the entire restaurant. For a restaurant at this price point ($20- $30) per entrée in a mall, there is no excuse. Jimmy, get your wait staff some help.

STAY AWAY!!! Terrible service, waiter must have been on something. Wack-job! He forgot our drink order before he left our table and then brought the wrong drinks. Food was inedible, bland and was delivered to another table before it came to us. Bathrooms disgusting, toilets not flushed, no toilet paper, trash overflowing. Have been to cleaner bathrooms at a Taco Bell.

Made a reservation last night for 3 and showed up with no table ready. Hostess was clueless and said "I have a 5 top and a 4 top available but those are being saved at the moment". Um, ok. Seems you would sit the people that actually showed up first but alright. I reminded her we had a reservation and she said "yea, but we're busy for Restaurant Week". Not an excuse on my end! Told her we'd wait a bit for her to find a table. She did try to resolve the situation but was really just walking around the restaurant, not accomplishing anything. People kept coming in the door and she couldn't get them checked in nor handle the amount of people that walked in the door. Old man w/ gray hair who I assume is the mgr was standing there, doing nothing, to help resolve any situation. He didn't help check anyone in nor did he come over to us say anything. The hostess did check in w/ us a couple of times telling us she was "trying to find us a table", so we waited. Then she ended up putting a chair next to a 2 top in the small, cramped room that is sectioned off by the door. The room was already full so putting us in there was cramped and not going to work. We sat down and realized this and decided we weren't paying $30/plate for the service and the table we got. So we got up and left and as we were leaving, the hostess was at the front door trying to handle the amount of people at the front and I walked by her and said "Yea, we're going to leave. That's not acceptable." She replies "oh, ok" and then proceeds to yell past my ear 'We got a 3 top available now". She didn't even care that $100+ just walked out the door. Unbelievable. We've eaten here before, but never again!

Trying to find this place was a little rough the morning I came here. Not sure if it was my personal issues or if it is just due to the layout of an unfamiliar place that is the Shops at Southglenn. A group of us came here for a friends belated birthday brunch (damned snow kept ruining everything). I am glad he picked this place. It looks like it is a relative large place. The staff was extremely friendly and broke out everyone's checks just as we asked. My friend set this up so we were able to take advantage of the breakfast burrito buffet and bottomless mimosa's or bloody mary's for $7.50. Great deal on the drink portion but the food price seemed a little high to me. I could only eat 1 burrito so for an all you can eat "buffet" that just didn't seem right. The food was great and I loved the fresh fruit and the small pastry option they had as well. Their menu is seasonal and some of the other stuff that I looked at looked great so I am pretty sure that I will come back again should the opportunity present itself.

Went for a very belated birthday lunch. I like the interior and the neighborhood. The food is ok but not great. I had the French onion soup and it really could have been hotter. It said it was coming with a celery salad. The waitress said no but it was on the menu. She apologized and gave gave me a pretty dinner salad wrapped in a thin cucumber slice. I know they are participating in 5280. I wish them well.

My 1st Restaurant Week review for 2013, and because of the weather in Colorado this honor is bestowed on Ivy at the Glenn, a really nice place in one of our suburban malls just South of Denver off of Arapahoe Road and University Blvd. this lovely restaurant set with both booth and table seating makes it great for parties of more than 4 and the bar is quite beautiful with well stocked wine selection, and alcohol and a really nice draft selection. My dinner party consisted of 3 couples whom only I knew everyone so it was a fun group. The fascinating thing about this group was that each couple had very different tastes and they were able to pair their specific appetites towards what they liked as a couple. We had a very large menu compared to our restaurant menus which was completely appealing to me, and knew that since this wasn't a girls dinner this would be a great place to have couple's experience. The menu offered 3 courses with the option to not get an appetizer or salad in lieu of a dessert. To start off while deciding what we were ordering - we delighted in warm fresh bread that we all devoured as quickly as it was brought out. Once we ordered our First course was out with a variety of apps that included Greek Lamb Kabobs, Mushroom Strudel,Barbeque Pork Sliders, Mini Beef Wellington, and Caprese Mozzarella all well prepared and satisfying as appetizers. Appetizers were followed by our second course and several of us opted for the salads and w enjoyed the Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese (yummy), Knife and Fork Caesar (scrumptious), and the Ivy House Salad (flavorful and right size portion for dinner side). Then it was on to our 3 course our variety of Entrees made for a hard choice for me and I went with the Colorado Prime Rib of Beef, and my guest decided on the Maple Mustard Scottish Salmon. My prime rib was perfect, as rare as it could be provided upon request and the mashed potatoes were creamy, alongside green beans and asparagus that were tender and crunchy, I am so happy to have half of my meal for lunch. My guest's Salmon was gone in mere minutes and he said, it was really good, in man speak...which means he really enjoyed it. Sorry not much more then that there said. The rest of our table had either Pork Loin Medallions, Steak Frite, Chicken Marsala and another had the Prime Rib, and everyone remarked at the healthy sized portions and how much every morsel was eaten from eveyones plates. What wasn't chosen I would have loved to have had i.e. the Alfredo di Mare (I have had that on another ocassion - so good), Beef Wellington, Colorado Lamb Chops, Pasta Primavera or the Seared Duck Breast and Leg which means I may have to keep going back! Overall the dinner was fabulous, service fantastic which is due impart to our great server who was attentive and made sure to split our check 3 ways for us when asked, and lastly, the fireplace gave the bit of ambience that enhanced our time there. Lastly, a few had dessert and shared - we had the Milk Chocolate Mousse and the cheesecake, need I say more we shared! 5 stars out of 5 for my 1st restaurant week dinner! We'll see how the next 4 go.;-) .

Awesome location. Great, fresh building and space. Decent food, with an okay selection. Service was bad. When I was in, there was no active bartender...I ordered a drink made with Woodford Reserve (one of the most popular whiskeys) and could see the bottle. I was told they didn't have any...ok. Asked about tap beers, again they were clueless. The bar is the focal point in the restaurant so this confused me. Server was very confused and rushed the entire service. He also made a few very awkward comments and couldn't seem to stop and focus or entertain any questions. There were 5 of us, so by no means a large group. I think I'll wait a year or two before I go back to see if Ivy can shake a few of the loose nuts out. Also, "Parmesan dusted fries" had no Parmesan...oupps.

Joined a friend for dinner last evening. Service was mediocre; seemed to be simply going through the motions. They were out of the first wine ordered as well as the duck cheese ravioli. The chef had substituted a lobster risotto. The result was a dish that was so unpalatable that I had only one bite. The server did not notice or ask about our meals and, when told about the dish, simply said he would inform the chef and left. There are many other dining options in the Southglenn area. We won't be back.

I have been here 3 times and had TERRIBLE service each time. The first time, we were the only table in the restaurant and our server got in to a screaming match with another employee, in the middle of the dining room, so we could hear every word of it. He then proceeded to try and explain the altercation to us instead of simply apologizing. The second time I was there with my girl friend and her dad. We had the same server and he couldn't for life of him remember our very simple order(2 club sandwiches, one without mayo, and the ahi tuna). Just write it down, come on. And the 3rd time I was there with my mom we explained we were in a hurry and our server was absent when we needed him and overly invasive when we didn't. I waited tables for 6 years so I have a ton of patience for service. The price of the menu and the quality of the service simply doesn't go hand in hand. The food is decent but not for the price or the experience.

Made a reservation at 6 for 2 people. Showed up and they offered a table is a corner next to table filled with 4 people when half the restaurant was empty. They offered us the bar. A couple came in right after us and they were offered the same shitty table and when they complained they were seated at a table for four. The bar staff is slow. This is the second time I have been here and I am not pleased with the service from the hostesses and the bar staff. The first impression is very important and these guys FAILED.

The décor and interior of the restaurant is very pleasing and at first impression, Ivy rated high. However as soon as we were greeted by the hostess, it went downhill from there. (Could it be that we mentioned we have the Groupon?) The staff was rushed (busy night, short staffed) and I found it inappropriate for a server to comment negatively about co-workers. After taking our order, our waiter on a few occasions, had to advise us they were out of a certain product and pushed higher cost alternatives. The meal (crabcakes app., ceasar salad, filet and sides, bananas foster) was good and cooked as expected (esp the filet!). No complaints with the kitchen. When it came time for the bill, the waiter took our Groupon but then presented us a bill for 123.00. While we made notice up front about using the Groupon, the Ivy wanted to charge us again for our meal. After asking for a bill that reflects charges for our beverages only (a glass each of wine and beer), we were presented with a 21.00 charge. Expensive beverages, maybe. Upon further review we noted there was a surcharge, applied by the Ivy, for using a Groupon! Never before have I been to a merchant where I have had to pay a fee for using Groupon. Neither the Ivy nor Groupon website advised of this "added fee". After explaining our disappointment to the manager, his reply was, come see us again and I will buy your drinks (he didn't give us a drink coupon or card, which was odd as I would have no way to prove this conversation). Why not offer us drinks this time as opposed to a future visit? Because again, we were using Groupon. This experience has really reflected our decision to never be a future diner at this location. I give this business one star if only for the kitchen. Everything else takes away for a better rating and critique.

Let me start by saying my wife & I have been to Ivy at the Glenn three times for Sunday Brunch and have really enjoyed the food, service, & ambiance on ever visit. Ivy has become our new standby for Sunday Brunch after church. Ivy at the Glenn occupies the space that was previously Tarbell's Restaurant Home. This is only notable because the interior of the restaurant is virtually unchanged. However, we feel the food and service at Ivy are head & shoulders above the prior establishment. On our last visit I ordered the Ivy Breakfast Burrito $8.50 and thought it was outstanding! Lots of eggs, roasted potatoes, and smothered in a flavor forward green chile. My wife got the "Lunch on the Run" which is a pick two soup, salad, sandwich combo meal at $12 that is a great choice. Her French Onion soup and Waldorf Chicken Salad Croissant came with choice of side item and was terrific. Ivy has wonderful house made flavored iced teas for $2 with free refills and they offer bottomless Mimosas & Blood Mary's for $7.50. IMO the menu is creative and offers some excellent choices sure to please everyone. Also the lunch/brunch prices are very reasonable. For a special treat we finished with Cherries Jubilee. It was prepared table side and flambeed for a truly spectacular show. There are not enough words to describe this decadently savory dessert!

After a fun day of shopping, my friend and I sat at the bar for a glass of wine and a small bite. We didn't have a reservation and the hostess looked at us like we had 4 heads, so we sat at the bar. While at the bar, the wait staff were all bustling around like chickens with their heads cut off. Talking, gossiping and complaining to each other right in front of me and my friend!! The bartender was also throwing things and complaining. Very unprofessional! I then saw a waiter take an individual wine carafe of red wine and add WATER! He then brought it to another customer sitting in the restaurant and poured it into her glass. I am not a red wine drinker, but is that normal?! With the unfriendly hostess and lack luster performance of the wait staff, I doubt I will return.

It has happened: the burbs finally found itself a hot spot. Hubs and I went in last night for dessert and drinks and upon being sat on their patio with a gorgeous view of the Southgeln fountain, I forgot I was smack dab in the middle of suburbia. I loved the upscale, creative ambience... 5 stars alone for the decor and stellar patio. Bonus points for the super trendy, technologically savvy iPad drink menu. A return visit for dinner is a must!

Five stars for making up for a false start to dinner. It's 5280 week so it's busy and they missed our reservations. We were hungry so we were on our way to another spot in Southglenn and Jimmy followed us out, took the time to make us a table, had us sat immediately and brought us a bottle of wine on the house. It turned out to be a great dinner with great service from the waiter as well. We had the crab cakes, filet, and bananas foster - all was great. We will return again! Thanks to Jimmy and his team we had a great night.

We have been here once for dinner and a couple times for brunch. I actually really love the brunch here. They start you out with some complimentary little muffins (which are DELICIOUS) and some fresh fruit. At the end of the meal they give you tiny little ice cream cones with vanilla ice cream! Mmmm! Who doesn't love free add ons?! They also have bottomless mimosas and bloody marys for $10. The restaurant itself is decorated very nice and they have a nice big fireplace that you can sit by. The bar has tvs that you can watch the game on. The one drawback I would say would be that it does take a while to get your food for how slow the restaurant has been when we've gone. I'm not sure if they are understaffed in the kitchen or if they are making everything fresh from scratch? I'm not really sure, but I do know that once you get your food its definitely worth it! Never had one bad thing here. Also, I highly recommend the bananas foster. Its INCREDIBLE!!

The Ivy was packed this evening. Our server was Lori....a sweet little thing. Complete pro, although she was under great stress, she did a great job. I had the wedge salad with shrimp. I enjoyed it! One of my guests had a hamburger. Ouch. It tasted like too much filler and garlic. I don't eat fried but she reported they were on the soggy side. The other guest had a Caesar salad with salmon. Excellent! Wine list was pretty boring. Mark West, Matua...blah..blah..blah. If you like in the area I suppose it's a good option. The owner has some amazing Elvis stories. Elvis Presley kids...not Elvis Costello. In general hope they do well but it's not my kind of place. No magic.

I didn't get much of an experience here, but because of that it deserves only one star. I had coworkers in from out of town and we wanted to go to dinner. Since we had already eaten at pretty much all of the other places in Southglenn, we decided to try Ivy, since it was new. We walked in and they seemed busy, but didn't have a wait. The hostess seated us at our table but only brought 3 menus (there were four of us). I had to get up and ask her for another menu. The bus boy came by and brought us water. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged us. The manager even walked by our table to pick up some menus at a table near by and didn't say anything. The least they could have said was "I'm sorry, we are really under-staffed and we'll be right with you." So we got up and left. As we were walking out the door, the manager said he was sorry and we are really understaffed. Too late buddy! Given the reviews I'm glad we left. Sounds like it's overpriced and the food isn't that great. I won't be recommending this place and it wouldn't surprise me if it shuts down.

Good place for dinner in SouthGlenn but nothing life changing. Excellent waiter, great atmosphere with interesting tables and levels, and I believe there was a fire place. Nice patio spot for people watching.

My hubby and I came here for a surprise birthday party for his cousin. It was so freaking hard to find we almost got here the same time as the birthday girl. The signs is not well lit and the street lights leading down to the place are all out or simply not turned on. Once we got there it was a decent enough facility to have a party. They did the food (sandwiches and pinwheels). Nothing too exciting but it was all tasty. I doubt I would be back unless someone else had a party there.

Have been here a few times for lunch with co-workers to be honest is ok food. I have had the sandwiches (ruben and cristo) they were good but they are on the smaller size so just be ready to be hungry afterwards. I have also had their french onion soup again good nothing aazing but solid. I like the overall feel for this place and can tell that managememnt seems to really be trying to make a difference in this place but with the small portions a someone who is hungry is probably going to sway to something else for the price.

Delicious dinner & dessert. I love the atmosphere of the place, feels like a barn. It's pretty small and quite busy, but felt like we were in another world. I will totally go back again!

Great atmosphere, appetizer & was excellent, pasta was very good... bit there wine by the glass options were horrid. Pinot Noir & Cabernet were way too young, tart... not smooth at all. Better luck on mixed cocktails... ??? Bartender was nice & a good server... but I'll find another restaurant here in Southglen.

This was the 1st time to this establishment and it will definatly be the last. We got there at 10:30am for brunch and were told we may not get a table...... looking around the place there were several empty tables.... we were seated after about 10 mins by the hostess who acted like it was an imposition that we were even there. After we ordered our brunch we waited and waited and waited..... finally asked our server Curran what was taking so long since we had been waiting for about 35 mins and his response was "other people have been waiting a lot longer" Finally after about 10 more minutes our food showed up and my frittata was raw on the bottom. Fruit was also supposed to accompany every meal however we are home now and still didn't get fruit! We Curran came to clear our plates he asked if we would like dessert and we said no and his response was "yea i suppose not" Where did this waiter come from?? He clearly has not been trained properly and needs work on his customer service skills.... Then we asked to speak to a mgr and Jimmy came over and really wasn't very helpful either.... He made excuses that it was Father's Day and they had so many reservations to worry about all while there were still 4-5 empty tables that I could see for the whole time we were there.... He offered a $25 gift card and when I declined he said he could still send it and I could give it to a friend.... Really, after this experience would I want to subject my friends to this?? I think not!!

My wife's crab and avocado salad was tasty but quite small for the price. Was served without bread or crackers. My gazpacho soup was okay. My wife makes better. Service was good. Outdoor seating was comfortable and well appointed.

Food isn't bad, maybe even pretty good. But the service ! Stuff extremely rude and inattentive . Don't even dream about getting a glass of water unless you asked at least 10 times. If you have a quick lunch in mind, don't come here. Except very long wait for ANYTHING !

"Meh" is right. A girlfriend and I decided to meet for dinner and a glass of wine. We just walked in, without knowing a thing about the restaurant. First off, the hostess didn't greet us, I initiated conversation. We were sat a very nice table. Awhile later, the server showed up with the wine list. As I was ordering my glass of wine, a woman rudely interrupted, telling us that "This table is actually reserved, so I'll see what I can do for you. There are only two right? Yeah, so this table is for four people. I'll see what I can do for you." Um...really? Understandably, the waiter was mortified. I said, "Who was that? The manager?". He, very politely, said no and apologized for her behavior. I told him we, unfortunately, weren't moving to another table. Throughout dinner, we were interrupted by our waiter, the rude lady (who nervously apologized and offered to buy us whatever we want), and 2 other unknown people at least 6 times. My god. Forget a relaxing dinner and wine with a great friend, this place is irritating! The food was just okay. For the price, I've definitely had way better. The wine wasn't worth mentioning. The service made my friend and I quite uncomfortable in general. I'd skip this place and try another restaurant close by. I doubt they'll be here long.

I loved Ivy at the Glenn. The food and service were both excellent. We went for a weekday dinner/supper. We sat outside on the patio and watched the fountains in the mall. It was very relaxing. Service was excellent. The food was phenomenal, except for the cherries jubilee. The flaming cart was't working quite right and we ended up with alcohol-laden soggy fruit. But the food was 5 star and I have been recommending this restaurant to everybody. It is a little pricey, so watch for deals such as Travel Zoo, but for an excellent meal and excellent service, I was happy to pay the price.

We went to Ivy at the Glenn for the first time a few weeks ago for Restaurant week for dinner and had a great meal with great service. This has brought us back a few time since. Since our wonderful dinner experience we have noticed are other trip have been hit or miss. We went for lunch a week ago and the place was empty and we had a large party, it took a little longer than anticipated to get our food, some food was never received and we had to ask for drink refills more than once. I tried something different on the menu this time around, they did accommodate my request for a specific salad to be made a certain way for my diet which was great however the ahi tuna that came on it was just ok, not great. We have also requested our steaks on another visit to be cooked a specific way and had to send them back not once, but twice before they came out the way originally requested. Again, hit or miss at the Ivy, but on a hit it is good! I do recommend Ivy at the Glenn they do have a well-rounded menu and the filet dinner is a great meal. It is in a great retail center with lots to do with great shopping and entertainment and the overall atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice as well.

We went to Ivy with a Denver Daily Deal that gave us one appetizer, two salads, two entrees, and a bananas foster dessert for $59. It was a great deal! We started with the cheese plate - very good, 3 different kinds of cheeses. The Caesar salad is big enough for two to share, house salad not quite so big. I got the scallops which were delicious (although the sides were not that great). My husband got the filet and said it came out perfectly rare, just how he ordered it. The bananas foster is its own experience - they set it on fire at the table. Delicious! Very good service and atmosphere. I'm not sure that I would go back for full price (the food quality is good but not outstanding). It's worth a try though if you are looking for upscale in the burbs.

I was hoping that this was going to turn out to be a good place for us to come weekly. Alas, the food was nothing special and way over priced. The only thing that was good was the view of the beautiful lights outside. But once the holiday season is over and the lights are gone....there isn't anything left for this place when they can't even get the food right.

This is my first review on Yelp. This restaurant needs help and fast! I had high expectations based on the fact of the location, the former owner and that I had a coupon through TravelZoo. What a disappointment. From the moment we approached the front door, the hostess had such a lackluster personality it was immediately off-putting. And she wasn't the only one. The other hostess (an older woman) was also completely disinterested in exuding any type of thankfulness that you had chosen this establishment to dine in with your family. I don't know about you but I've had better service at Dennys (that is except for our server who was a genuinely nice guy trying to make extra money and learn about the restaurant business). After being seated and placing our drink order an older gentlemen comes over to our table (who I believe to be the owner or manager??) to lift up the blinds and proceeds to knock things over on our table and the sun was setting in such a position that it was blinding my husband and myself. We promptly told him that he needed to put the shade back down. He apologized to us but again, with such lackluster personality it seemed unauthentic. Note to the owner, the appropriate response would have been to send to our table a free cocktail or a free dessert for making such a disturbance at our table. Now to the food. The cheese plate - pretty good; the french onion soup - very tasty; kids chicken fingers and fries - pretty tasty; macaroni and cheese - really? - $6.50 for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese that was dry - what a shame. The cheeseburger - totally unremarkable and the filet oscar - just a sham for $28. The crab on top was just horrible, I scraped it off - the filet was tasteless as was the sauce. Dessert - the cheesecake was pretty good - a bit salty but otherwise good. The white chocolate raspberry tart was very good. Would I ever go back - no. This place needs help and fast. I've eaten in a lot of fine dining restaurants and this cannot remotely compare. I certainly hope the owner reads this review and makes changes immediately. Try some nice background music, put more lively people in there, make the bar fun, make the food more exciting and most importantly make your customers feel special and that you are excited they chose your restaurant above all the others in that area from the moment they hit the front door.

Oh my, where do I start!! I travel between 30 and 40 percent of the year for my job. So, I eat out at least three meals a day. With that being said, I can count on one hand the number of times I've sent food back. I don't know if my wife has ever sent food back. Well, this was one of those nights. Food and Service were horrible...in their excuse, they've only been open for 3 days. Keep this food and service up, and they won't be open much longer. Wife and I order a couple of drinks. The manager had to pour my vodka, because the bartenders couldn't get to us. She is clearly not a bartender...2 second pour for a Kettle One that was $6.50. So I asked for a double, and got another 2 second pour! $13.00 now for my drink. I ordered the sea bass, $25, my wife ordered the scallops $23, and we ordered separate salads @ $7 a piece The bartender came to my wife and asked if she was ready for another glass of wine...while my glass was empty right next to hers. This was my first drink of the day...so it's not like I'm in here being loud and obnoxious!! By this time, it was kind of a game to me. The bartender looked at my empty glass 4 or 5 times, and never offered me a drink. Hell, we were never offered any water. I waited over 20 minutes before someone asked if I wanted another cocktail, I declined. We got our salads, and they were pretty good and had a decent presentation, but not a $7.00 salad. Also, they didn't bring us bread! Our entrees finally arrive about 30 - 40 minutes later. All I can say is "YUCK" or "PUGH"!!!! I would have rather had Long John Silver's than either my $25 Sea bass, or my wife's $23 Scallops. Our meals were SO over-salted that you couldn't eat them. Not to mention the quality of the seafood. This was the "fishiest" seafood, that I have every eaten. It's been over an hour, and I can still taste that nasty dish in my mouth. My wife politely told the manager that both entrees were bad. The manager took the two seafood dishes off the bill. We still paid over $50 for the little amount of food and drinks we had. Think about it...$50 for 2 house red wines, a regular Kettle One and water, and 2 very small salads. For this being a new restaurant, the manager should have discounted our bill more than this!! I will probably never go back to this restaurant, and I will tell everyone that I know about this horrible experience. This experience caused me to open a YELP account just to write about it... I was soooo hoping this would be a decent restaurant, as we love local, small businesses. We ended up sharing a $5 footlong at the house.

Rare that you get such incredible service as we received at Ivy at the Glenn. Our waiter was the best we've had in years- so friendly and attentive. The food is amazing too, and it's not an exaggeration to say I had the best pomegranate martini of my life. Highly recommend!

When Tarbels closed last May in this location, I was sad because I enjoyed both the menu and the atmosphere. After seeing a movie last night, my friends and I headed over to Ivy at the Glen to try it out. We were not disappointed. The owners (one of them the former owner of Baurs downtown), didn't make many changes in the decor, which was already hip and modern. We had a difficult time choosing our entrees from the menu because they all sounded wonderful. I had the roasted half chicken, which was deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. Everyone else enjoyed their meals which included duck, pasta, and sea scallops dishes. There are two reasons I'm not giving this 5 stars: the calamari appetizer, while tasty, was way too small for the price. ($8) and when we ordered a white wine for the table, the waiter just plopped the bottle down on the table, saying that he "tends to overpour." We had to request an ice bucket to keep the wine chilled properly. All in all a good experience. I'll go back again.

I tried this place a few months back right when they had opened. The ambiance and service and food were all pretty good. Best overall experience I've had in the Streets of Southglenn. People were dressed up more than I thought they needed to be, but I think that's usually the case in Southglenn... comes with the burbs I guess. If you like the area, I think it's worth checking out. It is, however on the pricey side. Anyway, we had friend green tomatoes, a panini, and a lamb dish. The portions were small but the flavors were great. In all fairness, that was the first time that I'd ever tried fried green tomatoes, but I enjoyed them. The panini was great and the lamb was tasty (not muttony or gamey?). Better than I've had in other Southglenn areas. OH! We finished of with the creme brulee. mmmm....brulee.... My Aunt liked the place a lot as well. My Uncle wished he had stayed home and eaten Turkey leftovers. But in all fairness, I think he would prefer Turkey leftovers to pretty much anything. I liked it enough that I bought a gift certificate for some friends of mine.

Wow. After reading some of the reviews for Ivy, I am wondering if we weren't at two different places. Our experience at the Ivy with friends was fantastic. From the bartender, who let us sample a few different wines before choosing which one we wanted, to our waitress, who was very knowledgeable & helpful with the menu, to the hostess, who was feeding the "trash talk" right back at our husbands, we had a fabulous dinner. I keep reading "overpriced," but if you've eaten at something similar in any city, it is actually quite reasonable. The food was creative & beautifully presented, the Ivy is a rare find out here in chain-restaurant suburgatory. We'll definitely be back, hopefully not seated near any of the cranky folks looking for a free dinner.

Eight of us went to dinner here last night and everyone said their meal was delicious! The service was great; drinks were good; wine was properly chilled; and the price was moderate - even less than expected given the $$$$. Dessert was a little on the skimpy side, but sufficient. Will definitely be going back and taking a seat looking out the windows to enjoy the Christmas lights!

What a pleasant surprise to find this local neighborhood non-chain restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. There is a nice bar , community table, and fireplace. The windows lend a good view of the street traffic making this cozy eatery very 'City' like ( as in New York). The service was very good including our new Colorado waitress Stephanie (St. Louis native) and her sidekick Eric . Owner Jimmy, former owner of Bauer's, and a New Yorker knows how to turn out some delicious dinners at a reasonable price. For starters we had the tomato soup topped with gorgonzola cheese. It was full bodied and was a meal in and of itself. The French onion soup was sizzling hot with creamy Gruyere atop. The crab cake appetizer(2 per person) featured succulently sweet white meat crab with minimal filler and a pleasant aioli. The mussels were tastey and ample but not hot. . Main courses were varied from prime rib, rib eye steak, pork loin, Mahi Mahi, mustard maple glazed salmon, a vegetarian option and a juicy burger to name a few. We tried the tableside preparation of bananas foster by our newbie waitress. It was a super culmination of a very satisfying meal. Overall, a very positive dining experience for a very discerning foodie.

The food has been great, however, the service is terrible. We have returned several times, usually around 11am on Saturday. Every time, we are the servers only table and it takes my husband or myself either flagging down the server or going to get them to order food, re fill drinks. Last Saturday I ordered soup, there was no spoon, then with my salad there was no salad dressing to it took an additional 15 minutes to get a spoon and salad dressing before I could eat my meal. Food is great, however, the service needs work.

Meh. Food was mediocre and the portions were incredibly small for the price. Service was a little pretentious and slow. I get that they just opened and everything, but the basics should be pretty easy if they're going to charge what they charge.

We had a great dinner with friends at Ivy last night--the food was excellent ( try the filet with blue cheese!) and the service equally good. We love al fresco dining and Ivy delivers with a patio that provides a very comfortable, pretty seating area (no plastic chairs here!) complete with umbrellas and heaters if needed. This was our first experience at this restaurant and we are looking forward to going back soon--highly recommended!

We went to Ivy on Thursday night with some friends for drinks and appetizers. When we ordered our drinks we all were amazed at how small the pours were. Two of us had wine which barely came up 2 inches in the glass. While we were waiting for our drinks the staff was talking negatively about what we perceived to be the owner right in front of us. It did not leave a good impression. We ordered the mussels, artichoke dip, and mini beef wellington. The mussels were very good but the other 2 dishes were not. The beef wellington dough was still mushy like it wasn't cooked all the way through. The artichoke dip was decent but it came with gigantic pieces of bread that made it hard to eat. Between the 4 of us it was very expensive for extremely stingy pours on their drinks and mediocre food, and we didn't need to hear the bar/waitstaff complaining about the owner in front of us.

Here on 1/7/2012. The restaurant is so jam packed with tables (but no people) it is uncomfortable. There were two very unfriendly and unenthusiastic hostesses. Our waiter was so slow....I had planned to order dessert...but waited so long for the waiter to come back we decided it wasn't worth staying. The food was nice...however the bread service was a complete joke. The place felt pretentious.

We went at 4:00 last Saturday (01-21-12). Kevin (the bartender and also our server) came over promptly and filled our water glasses and we ordered a glass of wine. Nice size pour on the house wine, which was Woodbridge. We were given the dinner menu, since we were there at an odd time. I told him I came specifically for the fried green tomatoes, which I did not see on the menu. He went to the kitchen, came back and said the chef would make them for me anyway. We shared the french market onion soup, which was AMAZING. I have had a lot of french onion soup in many different restaurants in many different places, but this was the best. The topping was unique - gruyere with something crunchy and savory and what looked like a gremolata on top. It was amazing. This is the second time we have been there, and will go again for sure. We love the atmosphere, and Kevin was attentive, without being annoying. Next time I have to have the polenta dish... Thank you, Ivy!
