As an out-of-town visitor, my family wanted to treat me to a nice restaurant and they could not have picked a better place. We opted for outdoor seating which was comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had a very well prepared shaved prime rib French Dip with au jus & horseradish suaces accompanied with frites cooked in duck fat. The baguette that completed the sandwich could have stood alone as a perfect meal on its own. My brother remarked his burger was the best he'd ever had. I doubt there was a crumb left. We savored every bite.

They have pretty decent burgers, but my husband and I had a craving for steak but didn't feel like paying Del Frisco prices, so we decided to try this place for steak. Now we realize why we pay for Steaks at other, higher-end locations. They were appropriately seasoned for the cut of the meat and were cooked appropriately, but were a huge letdown for the cost. If it would have been a $20 steak, I would have been totally satisfied because you get what you pay for. If you do come here, stick with burgers and the Calamari is pretty good too. Just avoid higher priced foods - they aren't worth the cost.

I have given Hodson's several chances. It's so close to our house and I always think it's going to be better. We've had it for brunch, dinner, and happy hour and never leave thinking that it was worth it. The best meal we had there was dinner. Hubs had the french dip and I had the portobello mushroom. But they were just OK. Brunch was terrible. Do not even bother. HH seems like it is pretty good but it left me wanting. I had the Mule with vodka for $6 which was good. Then Hubs ordered the sliders which sounds like it has a lot going on and may not be good but the whole combo works. The beef is blah so it really needs the extras to make it shine. The parmesan fries are delicious! I could eat a whole plate of those. I ordered the brussels sprouts and sent them back twice for being undercooked. (I did not bother having them bring it out a third time.) There's too much sauce on them for my liking anyhow. They looked great, sounded great, but were most definitely NOT great. Instead we ordered the salmon roll. The fish was ok but the rice tasted so dry- like it had been put together the day (or week??) before. We had a giftcard here so we tried. We really did. But the food is just too all over the board - no focus- and nothing shines. Except for maybe the fries. We won't be back.

So disappointed! I really liked Hodson's! I liked their patio and their varied menu! I liked the location! Hodson's?? What changed? We stopped in for Dinner on Saturday night before the movies. Trying to get waited on was like pulling teeth (and the restaurant was relatively empty -- including the patio) Eventually, our server stopped in for a quick visit to take our drink order. She disappeared but I noticed she was "hanging out" at the hostess station talking with the girls. I understand that sometimes it takes a while for the kitchen to prepare Ice Water, and I am a patient person .... to a point! It was Happy Hour, so we ordered some appetizers and a couple glasses of wine. Very disappointed in the Mussels -- sorry to say that not only were they tasteless, but several of them were empty and the rest were tiny. Moved on to the grilled artichoke. It was tender and good until we tried to eat the heart. When I grill chokes, I always clean out the hairs and the sharp leaves since they are inedible but.... maybe Hodson's was trying to be creative! I personally think they were just being lazy. One positive: The burger was yummy as were the sweet potato fries! Her's the biggie and the compelling reason for a negative review --- Our server scowled the whole time she waited on us. I even went as far as to ask her if we had said something wrong to upset her. "Oh, no!", she replied. "I just had a really late night last night and I am tired!". Well, that certainly makes sense to me! So, Hodson's please try to improve so we can come back. And make sure that your servers didn't stay out too late the night before so they can be cordial to your guests!

Way down hill Must have new chef that doesn't care about quality and consistency. New menu poor offering doesn't make sense, definitely got away from the brand. Had to settle for chicken as the new menu is terrible this also was a mistake taste like it was from yesterday and the sides overlooked and bland, Service lacking Not sure if we will ever be back last 3 times 1 star

Wonderful appetizers (very different) and dinners. Took clients to dinner, and they raved about the food. The service was exceptional. Very good food, unique, and delicious.

Pleasant experience. The place is located at the Streets at SouthGlenn. I randomly chose to come in at noon on a Monday. Here are things that made my visit nice: 1) I was a mess when I walked in and yet I was treated as if I'd had perfect nails with a coordinating suit. 2) I had a raging headache and originally been looking for a cafe to get coffee but the patio looked inviting so I came in. I was offered a menu to consider before being offered a seat. 3) My servers's name was Chris. He was mindful to offer coffee only when a pot was newly brewed. He topped it off unobtrusively. He said "how is everything "my friend" without patronizing me. I think one would want to be. Chris waited until after he determined I was done before bringing the bill. Although I spent 45 minutes in the place, I was not rushed. I needed a to-go box which he brought to me instead of scraping my food onto it in front of me. 4) The setting was elegant yet friendly, I liked the cloth napkins. 5) Oh yes, the food! I had a house cheeseburger which came with "duck fat" Parmesan fries. It was great and I'd order it again. One suggestion would be to post a menu or some indication outside thatthat food is available inside. Definitely give it a try!

More like ZERO stars. I just had lunch here today and I wish I had gone across the street to Bar Louie. I want to mention that we were there at 1pm and it was not busy. The inside had a ridiculous amount of flies. Our server was not attentive, she never asked if we wanted another drink or how our food tasted. I had to flag down a different server to get our server to bring the check. It took about 30 mins to get a salad and salad wrap. Idk if it's bad management or the girl just hates her job, regardless don't give us such bad service. The food was just okay. My boyfriend ordered a chicken Cesar salad and it was such a disaster. You would think the server would've told us the romaine lettuce isn't chopped. And to make it even worse they didn't cut off the dirty end of the lettuce. Never returning and I suggest everyone avoid this place.

Been thinking of brining my wife to Hodsons for a few weeks and finally made it! A true disappointment with service tonight. Not only did we wait five minutes for the a hostess to seat us, the waiter was nothing to brag about. You would like coming here you would hear Jazz music, but instead got hard Rock and roll with Jimmy Hendricks, Clapton and Pink Floyd. Not what we were expecting to hear coming here. We came here two years ago and loved the place, but after tonight's visit I doubt it.

BI was a little surprised about some of the bad reviews as we have been here several times. I believe things have settled down with the new chef and the quality of food has gotten better. As always the staff is very professional and attentive. I asked for a reservation in their wine room for Valentine's Day which they honored as noted. My preference was getting a back room with my wife. Our server gave us wine selections to pair with our order. We ordered the Oyster Trio which was prepared properly, gave us 3 different tastes and a perfect starter for 2. I also had a cup of their corn chowder soup which was also garnished with popcorn and very delicious. My wife had pan seared scallops on risotto which was garnished with various sauces that added to the pallet. I had the 8 Oz filet which was cooked to a perfect temp. For dessert we had the deconstructed black Forrest cake which I wasn't sure about ordering because of other yelp reviews bashing it. I have to say ours was very soft and the perfect finish to a valentine's dinner. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. No complaints here. Hodson ' s has been there for several years and a proven track record. I would say if you had a bad experience give it a second chance.

This place has changed for the worse. They changed both their lunch and dinner menus and are now missing many of what used to be their best dishes. The service was very slow (despite that the place was practically empty) and it took over 30 minutes to get our food. Then when we got it, it was cold. The fries were bad enough that we sent them back, and the portions were small for the price. Very disappointing. I won't be returning.

This place is not good! I went there with a friend and the location is great but the food is bad and very pricey. Service wasn't bad. I ordered the prime rib dip and it was all fat. Food was cold. Very expensive for the quality of food. The drinks were reasonably priced and the choclate cake was good but that is about all this place has going for it. Would not recommend.

Prime Rib dip was amazinggggg!!!!!!! Only con - no hooks in women's bathroom to hang purse?? Server was super friendly and suggested some great ideas for what to eat!!

The staff is always pleasant and the food is always great. If I had a gripe, it would be they took the NY Strip off their menu. However, the Prime Rib is great and it is a great place to take that special someone in your life.

I am strictly writing this review on the cocktails only, but this is a beautiful new restaurant in SouthGlenn. They didn't skip a beat when the designed this downtown restaurant in the burbs. Wait staff was great and we sat outside on the great size patio which is great for people watching. I will definitely go back to Hodsons and try dinner. Great place for friends and family.

Things are a little crazy in Southglenn on a Friday night. My girlfriend and I wanted to get a drink before a movie-first we tried Mellow Mushroom and it was packed. Bar Louie was packed and LOUD so our last shot at a bar in the area was Hodsons. We walked in and were very surprised to see the place was pretty empty-there were some folks sitting down for dinner, but the bar was completely empty, so we saddled on up. I got french fries and a beer (their tap selection is good), the GF went for a whiskey sour. Service was prompt and friendly. The fries were really, really good (some of the better "bar" fries I've ever had), and everything was actually priced quite well for how nice the place was. Good food, good tap selection, good tap service, quiet, and a nice place. Next time I'm getting a drink before a movie I'll be here!

We went here as it was a neighborhood favorite for a long time. They always had great burgers, sandwiches and comfort food. I wish I had checked to see that the menu had changed. It seems as though they are trying to be super swanky now, but they fail miserably at it. The food, which used to be really good and consistent was blah. My "salted caramel chicken sliders" were dry and the buns over cooked and stale. The H burger was just dressed up with more condiments that somehow make it more expensive...I don't know. Overall, I used to love this place and felt like they had a great menu and atmosphere-that is totally lost on the quest to be more, I don't know...hipster? Won't go back. Sorry.

Very disappointed in my experience at Hodson's. Service was very slow. We ordered two margaritas that were horrible. I did not drink mine and got a Moscow mule instead which was delicious. We ordered the nachos and they were awful. The service was non-existent. We will never go back to Hodson's. Felt like we wasted our money!!

I have yet to find a nice place to eat in South Glenn that is actually worth the $$$ and worth going to for an actual nice dinner. This place seemed like one of the most promising options, but it let me down. I probably won't be back unless its for a drink. This place had a lot of potential: South Glenn is beautifully decorated with blooming flowers, its nice to walk around in, this place has a prime corner location and a large patio with tons of seating. Its right by the movie theater. The decor is modern and swanky, and would fit in downtown. But it was a letdown once you sat down at your table. The service was ok, but was too slow, too casual, and not attentive enough for the looks & prices of this place. The menu is large, but there are very few gluten free options. Most entrees start at 15ish, but out of my party of 5 no one said their food was better than "ok" and their meat was "eh". The fish tacos were even more boring than the ones at Wahoos and the lobster tacos (without the breading) were also boring and twice the cost. PS the patio chairs suck and totally don't even fit your butt on them!!! We told our waiter and he said he knows, and that everyone complains... ok so fix it!

I had to ask for silverware after getting our food at the bar. the drinks and the food are way to expensive. Almost $8 for a glass of beer. The food is at least $3-4 bucks overpriced. the bar service was average. I asked to have my drink mixed in front of me and i was declined. I would not come back, way to expensive! Price and service don't match here. And WIFI didn't work...really? It's 2014 folks!

Had an appetizer (hummus plate) and a Mule here tonight. Mule was good, not great. Hummus was very garlicky, which overpowered the other flavors (tapenade, tomato chutney, Cayenne honey, and fig jam) on the plate. Biggest complaint is the service. Friends we were meeting up with said service was bad, but I didn't think it could possibly be this bad on a Friday night. More bus boys on the floor than wait staff, one visible bartender (there may have been another, didn't have the best vantage point), and our ticket came out with items we never received, and one we never ordered. Manager was apologetic, but still a little condescending. Took a while for them to split the checks. On the plus side, they did eat a couple tickets from the party, so we got something comped. Still won't be coming back any time soon.

Streets of sourhglenn looks so beautiful in the summer. Flowers everywhere! Sat with the family and a friend in the patio for Sunday brunch and the weather was great. The service here is always spot on and they have the best patio in the area. It is large and not too crowded, covered for shade or rain, its own exit, and gas firepit for warmth at night. The food is always solid and the menu creative. Kids menu and crayons, helps us keep our sanity before the food comes out. Kids love the mac and cheese, and for a sunday brunch adults may like the bottomless mimosas. Waitress was very good and would bring them out without us having to ask all of the time. I've tried a few different dishes and have not been disppointed. Latest was Salmon Hash, would have liked a bit more salmon, but it was very good. Wife had grilled chicken salad and was very pleased. Nice to have a place like this close to home.

I recently had the misfortune of picking Hodson's for dinner on a Friday night. I had been here before for happy hour and was excited to try dinner. Hodson's is suffering from a serious identity crisis. It doesn't know whether to be a bar or a hipster dining establishment. The menu is unbelievably limited and overly pretentious jumping from a $13 burger to a $39 rack of lamb, with only a couple items in between. The food quality was terrible and the service was not much better. To think that the Chefs are willing to put their names on the menu would imply a certain amount of pride, but the results cause nothing but embarrassment. They did put the menu on a laminated single sheet reminiscent of your favorite greasy spoon. Overall, you're better off at any of the other 10 restaurants within a half block of this one.

Hodson's is the only place in Southglenn that I will eat. It's just slightly pricey, but the food has always been great. My favorite is the fish tacos with plantains!

I have dined at Hodson's a whopping two times. The first was less than remarkable; the second reinforced why I was not eager to return. First experience: surly waiter, slow service, lackluster food. Second experience: Mother's Day brunch. We ordered from the special brunch menu, which consisted of 8 breakfast dishes - simple fare: eggs, omelets, a waffle (yes, one waffle on the menu!), French toast, etc; it took 50 minutes to receive our food. I am a patient person, but this was beyond ridiculous. You would think that 50 minutes would allow for perfectly prepared entrees, yet five of us received screwed up orders. My grandmother was served last--we're talking a delay of 10 minutes. It took the kitchen two tries to get my omelette right; how much effort does it take to prepare an omelette without bacon or cheese? We asked for the manager several times but he refused to come to our table. My father had to corner him to discuss the issue. My heart went out for the poor waitress who was at the mercy of a lame kitchen staff, spineless manager and unremarkable food. The patio looks lovely and I thoroughly appreciate the decor, but I would rather waste my time elsewhere.

The "scene" is modern and fun. This gets them the extra star. Waiter forgot to bring us our drinks...twice. Wife had the special and said it was good. I opted for the Prime Rib. I'm sorry to say, it was the WORST prime rib I have ever had. In my opinion, it is hard to mess up prime rib. No flavor, over done, the au jus was almost clear. Nothing worse than dropping close to $100 and hating the food. Never again.

I felt bad for the manager; he was doing everything he could try to salvage the experience of all customers that evening. If you're reading this manager, you need to get to a place where your hard work can be appreciated. The service was confused and slow and the food was atrocious (expensive too). I ordered the Lobster Tempura Tacos and I received less than a tablespoon of Lobster spread across three tacos. Drinks were watered down like a Salt Lake City airport. Never again.

I was very impressed with Hodsons. Our waiter was friendly and attentive but not annoying us. We went to South Glenn for lunch and shopping so we just picked Hodsons on a whim. Nice decor, cozy and not to big and loud. Our waiter brought water and soda's for us and then we ordered drinks and food. We both had a Strawberry Kiss. YUM. Recommend going there just for that. Our sandwiches were excellent. I had the Chicken with warm brie and caramelized apples. My friend had a gourmet grilled cheese ( I can't remember the name!!!). We cut our sandwiches in half and each had a half of both. The food was excellent and the drinks were excellent. The staff was friendly. I was surprised to see so many poor reviews. So I think they worked out any problems they had because we had a great lunch with great service.

Like Bar Louie's, this is an upscale bar/restaurant. Appetizers are yummy and priced appropriately (but not cheap). Ambiance nice, especially out on the patio where there is a fire pit for cool nights.

Food was good, even though the burger was a little overcooked for medium, was still delicious. Bottomless mimosas were a little on the weak side, but the Bloody Mary bar was fantastic. Great ambiance. Would be willing to try it again

Went during Restaurant Week. The RW menu is a great value and the food was good. However, even though the place was half empty, Hodsons cancelled my reservations through OpenTable even though I checked in and dined there! WTF?? The Lobster Mac n Cheese is delish and worth the aggravation. Eat it!

I was here visiting mom and we had a nice day at south glen shoppes. Stumbled upon Hobsons and had a very nice lunch on the patio. I can see how night time can be busy. Nice open decor. Pizza looked great. Travis was our waiter and super nice and friendly

Hodson's Grill has been our go to restaurant for ourselves and certainly for company since it opened. I used to say to my husband every time we ate there, "I've never had a bad meal here." Not anymore. Three strikes and you're out. Recently ordered my favorite fish tacos and got what looked like the scrapings of the bottom of the pan instead of fish. Should have been called cole slaw tacos. Some guy came by and tentatively asked how things were, I show him the dried pieces of fish and and also said I wished the plantains were still on the menu. He scooted away with NO comment and was never seen again. Yesterday ate there with friends and we left after appetizers and finished our meal and conversation across the street and Bar Louis. Why? My Bloody Mary was vodka with a trace of tomato juice, the other two were thick, no spice, maybe some vodka?? Sweet potato fries arrived cold, limp and greasy. Creamy soup so salty it was inedible. The last few times I've been there, the wait person touted the new chef and was so pleased that they've only kept three items from the old menu. What has happened to Hodson's???? The Three Stooges are now the chefs??

I came here with a group of 7 for dinner. I wasn't sure what to expect based on mixed yelp reviews but I was impressed. I arrived a bit early but the table was already set ip for our reservation. The service was good and we enjoyed good drinks, asian nachos and I got the risotto.

Hodson's...I've seen this place a couple times while lunching across the street at Pho95. It looks like a nice spot, and I've been meaning to check it out for a while now. So I finally stopped in for lunch today. They informed us that they have a brand new menu as of yesterday...cool I'm excited. The menu was small, but had several items that looked good. I settled on the Central Park Burger Hand-Packed | Colorado Angus Chuck Burger | Fried Onions | Applewood Bacon | Jalapeno Cream Cheese | Greens | Fries ~15 This burger looked great, even though it was large (hey I can handle a biggun). I've had similar burgers before and enjoyed them, so I was looking forward to this......and it was.....OK. I spent some time trying to figure it out, the beef tasted great, bacon was good, onions good, couldn't really taste the jal. cream cheese...all of the ingredients individually were of good quality and tasty, combined.....just OK. There was something missing. The wife had the WHITE CHEDDAR GRILLE White Cheddar Cheese | Applewood Bacon Granny Smith Apples | Hawaiian Bread | Fries ~11 This sounded great and came with an abundant amount of bacon....bread/apples/cheese all good (I had a couple bites), but again it was missing something, maybe a spicy sauce to dip in..... For the price it was inadequate...but there is nothing wrong with the place. In short. Good ingredients, mediocre execution

Good outside dining. Pricing was reasonable. Husband got the beef short rib sandwich. He rates it a 4/5. We both got the hand cut potato chips. Really good. I got the H melt. It was good. The low rating was from the wait staff. Not really friendly and we sat with our meal finished for too long. Other wise. Good place to go on a Monday night.

Two visits, separated by time: Hodson's is a decent choice for a light meal or happy hour appetizers. One visit was during the summer, with a date. The other was last night, waiting for a date. The summer visit was a little appetizer & dessert with some cocktails on the outside patio. The place was busy, but the service was excellent. Food was good, but not memorable (of course, it was 8 months ago...) Last night I had some free time before my meeting, so I stopped in at the bar for HH food & drinks. HH runs 3-6 Mon-Fri, with beer, wine and well drink specials. There is a limited menu as well. I selected the Crusher Pinot, and their flatbread pizza of the day: prime rib slices with mushrooms, and peppers. All was very good. I ding them one star for less than attentive service at an otherwise quiet bar.

Good place to meet up with friends. The outdoor patio is covered and pretty much protected unless it rains sideways. Which happened last night. Not a big deal as we were finished with our meal so decided to sit by the fire. It felt great. Service was good and the food was decent. We started with wine and drinks. Then had sliders, chicken salad and a few chicken lettuce wraps. There never seems to be enough lettuce for the wraps but we managed ok. A few of us were very hungry and ate everything on our plates. When we moved by the fire we had their triple scoops of sorbet. It was served on a block of ice and just for that I was impressed. Love the Streets of Southglenn. I will go back and hopefully it will be a Thrusday night as they have different bands playing somewhere in the area. Also they have a market one Sunday a month that I heard was cool.

The atmosphere is nice and the drinks were good, but burnt nachos and hard skin on my sushi making it inedible just doesn't work for me. Won't be coming back. Beside bar Louie has tater tots and is right across the street.

My husband and I went there for dinner on Monday night 08-26-13. We were seated inside an area of the restaurant that was not near anyone else.....weird.... kinda in a dark corner. There were flies everywhere.....gross. My sandwich, the prime dip was gross. The bread was too soft so when dipped into the au jus it got soggy. The meat on the sandwich was warm not hot. The au jus was also warm.....should have been piping hot. No cheese, no butter on the bread...the bread should have really been toasted a bit more to get a good crunch. I opted for a side salad instead of fries...wow they must be proud of their greens to charge 2 bucks extra...the sandwich was already over priced at 18 bucks. The sever was mediocre at best. I hate when servers ask if you want change when paying with cash.....immediately they just lost a few bucks from their tip when they ask me that question. Of course I do...I didn't tell you to keep the change did I....You were not that good of a server nor was the food great for you to get a 30% tip. I will not recommend this restaurant nor will I return!!!

Yuck. My parents and I had their "sushi" selections. I get pretty snobby about sushi because there are some AWESOME places for sushi in Denver (Sushi Den, Okinawa on Colfax, and Japon near Wash Park Grille). This stuff wasn't disgusting, it was just so DISAPPOINTING to have plates of what looked like sushi brought out, only to find the sad little rice rolls to be wholly without flavor or interest. I ordered the Dragon roll expecting it to have a kick of spice, but it was dry and flavorless, except for a funny, unpleasant aftertaste. My mom got the lobster roll, which tasted like it had come out of a plastic container from the fridge at King Soopers. My parents aren't quite sold on the merits of sushi, and I told them not to judge the wonder that is sushi based on this crap. I'd been here once before and remember the food to be MEH. And it is SO OVERPRICED! You'd think for the prices, they would be able to afford higher quality food and a more creative chef. I left tonight feeling like I had wasted my money and wasted time on what should have been a nice family meal out. Bleh. I hate music in restaurants and don't want to hear a tinny rendition of Gwen Stefani's "I'm Coming Out (So You Better Get This Party Started)" while I'm trying to make my sub-par sushi disappear as quickly as possible (so I can get out of there and pretend it was all a bad dream). Turn the music off, or play some soft jazz or world music if you absolutely must have something on. And why do we need giant flat screen TVs plastered all over every surface? My parents and I hate those things and we STILL found ourselves zoning out on them instead of talking to one another and enjoying each other's company. Why does every restaurant have to be a sports bar? Can't there be restaurants that aren't sports bars? I won't be going back here. Not worth the waste of money. There are SO many places I would rather spend my money on.

Let's be honest, the reviews were worth following before I went. My family and I were at Southglenn looking for somewhere nice for dinner and we found Hodson on yelp and decided to give it a go. The restaurant was large with a lot of loud middle aged wealthy people looking to feel cool. Our server was a lot of fun but did not know much about what he was talking about and described the dishes differently than they came out. My mom and I ordered the chicken and waffles (a dish added to their menu two weeks ago) and we weren't very impressed. The chicken and waffles with the balsamic and basil was wonderful, but the swiss chard on top however, tasted like dirt. My dad's half chicken was dry and his green beans were very crunchy and almost raw. We told the server who took little interest in our feedback. Overall, it was way too expensive for what it is and we have no interest in going back.

This place is good food and very nice inside. My friend and I tried it out. They have one of the best French onion soups around. Service was good the waitress was very friendly. I just wish the bus boy would stopped walking down to are table it made me feel rushed. But I do love their outdoor patio.

We went here for Mother's day lunch. I am giving this rating 2 stars based on the food. Overall the food was ok (once we got it). Since this review is about the food, let me tell you about it. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip, it was excellent. Creamy and rich, however the assortment of crackers and bread was a bit odd. I think they should stick to one or the other, not a combo of both. Next I had a burger. I asked for it to be medium well and it was well done. I didn't hate the burger, but it wasn't anything spectacular either--the burger itself was pretty dry. Our waiter was no where to be found so I couldn't add any condiments to it to make it better. Now...let's talk about the service. The waiter was decent, so the food timing was not his fault...it took us 45 minutes to get our food from the time they brought my salad, yes, from the time my salad was brought to the table. They were not overly busy, you could see open tables all around. At this point, I was pissed. Nobody at the table ordered anything difficult, so I have NO idea what took so long. Based on this alone, I will not be returning to Hodson's. My mother likes this place, so if she requests it...yes I will go back. But I will NOT make the effort on my own. Not impressed. At all.

This is our go-to restaurant. When we want to treat ourselves (and that doesn't mean expensive!), we go to Hodson's in SouthGlenn. There are a few wait staff who know us now and are always interested in what's going on in our lives. They are very friendly, knowledgable and truly want you to enjoy your experience there. The food is fantastic (especially the salmon/quinoa dish and the sweet potato fries!). If you haven't been there, don't miss out! If you have, you already know what I mean.

The sever was great and that's about it. We waited 15 mins before we got out water. Then our crab dip appetizer come out and waited for the flat bread another 5 mins. The dip was cold by then but they did replace it. Then I got the Chicken and frozen waffles and it was the worst chicken (like rubber) and the waffle tasted like a frozen waffle. We will never to back.

Went to Hodsons at open an a Friday afternoon and was very disappointed. After waiting for staff to show up, a simple order or two of the house burgers with fries takes over an hour to make. Both of us ordered medium cook and both of us revived very well done. No compensation was offered and they charged 11$ for a simple hamburger. Very nice location and set up but poor execution makes it all worthless. Great patio and TV's for game day... Just don't order food.

Had a work Christmas party here. The food was very blah, including stale cookies for dessert. The drinks weren't even very good. Can't think of any reason to choose here vs other places which are actually good.

Went here for my birthday dinner on a Friday night. We were seated quickly, all staff was very polite. The food was fast and prepared accurately. I got the Fez Burger, which was delicious! My husband got the Chicken & Brie sandwich, which he said was a little "meh" - nothing too exciting. We both loved the appetizer of Asian Nachos! I'd go here again.

I've been to Hodson's twice--once for a mediocre tuna app, and some okay drinks. The other was last Saturday, and I can assure you, I won't make that mistake again. I was out climbing all day--living on Clif bars, cream cheese smeared all over a bagel--so by the time I was done, I was ravenous. I finally hit Hodson's at about 6:30PM, and ordered a big, juicy burger. It was okay. The bun wasn't really big enough to accomodate the size of the patty and the slipperiness of the avocado, and the meat was weirdly sweet. Being ravenous, however, I bolted down what I could before my 7:00 movie and thought no more of it. Until later that night. At about 10, my stomach started hurting pretty badly. At about 11, I started purging the contents of my stomach. Rinse and repeat for the next 3 hours. I called Hodson's and they were totally unapologetic and said their insurance company would call me in a week about it. Which never happened. Never. Again.

Eh . . Meh . . Another lunch stop when Mom was in town helping me move. We both ordered the sandwich/salad combo. I had the White Cheddar/Apple/Bacon grilled cheese and enjoyed it, though I wasn't in love with the Caesar salad. Can't quite remember what Mom had, but she enjoyed her meal. We sat on the patio along with 5 other tables of fancy businesswomen and retirees (I was the youngest person on the patio besides our server.) Speaking of our server . . that's where most of the "Eh . . Meh . . " comes from. Very lack luster, impersonal, disinterested, though he did keep my water filled. I'll probably be back and will adjust my rating if things improve. I do like the patio's fire pit. Very nice!

Went to Hodsons for the first time a few weeks ago had a great dinner there then walked across the street to catch a movie. We really enjoy Hodsons and the atmosphere and the fact they have TV's as well to catch sporting events! I had a wonderful hamburger with sweet potatoe fries. We will def be back to try more items on the menu that carries a great variety.

The Streets of SouthGlenn is proving to be a really nice addition to the Centennial/Littleton area. And, there are some nice restaurants taking hold. Hodsons is one of the newest. And, despite being new, there were very few missed marks. The staff was friendly and attentive but not overly so. The service was quick but without being rushed. The five of us ate at a table in the bar and then migrated out onto the patio for drinks and dessert. I had a really nice sirloin salad with lots of grilled red bell peppers. It was sized right and priced where you would expect it to be. There were innovative and tasty cocktails but not too fussy or too over the top. I will definitely try this place again. And, I hope to get seated in the regular dining area. The decor has some art deco touches and some elegance. Paired with basic American cuisine with a flair, it adds some interest.

Bought a Groupon for Hodson's and was excited to maybe find another great place down south. Sadly, it was not to be. I wasn't excited about their dinner menu online, but the lunch one looked pretty good - at least there appeared to be a selection of yummy sandwiches. Went with 2 friends for lunch last Sunday. First, the hostess took us all the way through the restaurant (past many empty tables) to a booth WAY at the back, far away from any light from the windows. The service was TERRIBLE! Waited for a long time for our waiter to come to the table, and then he seemed put out that he needed to serve us. Each time he came back, he didn't even stop at our booth - he kind of did a "drive by." He took my water glass to refill it and I don't know what he did, but there was something definitely wrong with my water. How do you screw up water??? Ordered the apple, cheddar, and bacon sandwich - basically a fancy grilled cheese. The bread on the first one they brought out was black. Not eating that. The second one wasn't burnt, but the cheese wasn't even melted. And, it was a super thin slice of cheese that didn't even cover the whole slice of bread. The manager then came over and asked if I wanted them to cook me a THIRD one! Um, no thanks! Don't really feel like watching my friends eat and then having them watch me eat. To Hodson's credit, they did comp almost our whole bill, but the whole experience was so unpleasant there's no way I'll be back. There were two "not so bad" moments. The sweet potato fries were pretty good. And, the snickers martini was quite tasty. Not tasty enough though...

This is the worst restaurant ever!!!!! It took the waiter over 7 minutes to wait on us, getting ready to leave. Then we ordered a glass of wine that took him over 5 minutes to bring. The pasta was so dry you thought you were in the dessert. Never saw him once he dropped the food, ordered bread, never saw it!!!! We finally grabbed someone else, oh did I say it was so dead in the restaurant, we couldn't figure out where he would go. We told that person we wanted to leave and to take off the pasta so we could pay the bill. Finally saw our waiter wlho never apologized, asked if he could make it up to us, NEVER!!! He flautingly threw the bill at us and said he didn't charge us for the pasta, but still charged us for the bread we didn't get. BAD ATTITUDE!!!!!! I had been in the restaurant biz for 16 years and I would have fired this guy. We asked for a manager to talk to, guess what? ??? NO manager!!! We walked across the street to PHO 95 and it was awesome and they fell over themselves to wait on us! I wouldn't let my dog eat at HODSON's!!!

My husband and I enjoyed a very nice dinner here last week. Our server Kelly was great and the meal was great! I had the Mango Chipolte Chicken VERY good! Not sure what was better the chicken or the cilantro rice that came with it! Oh, and strong drinks!

I was pretty disappointed with this place. After hearing that Snooze was an hour wait, we decided to give this place a try. The menu is very limited, so I got a few sides- bacon, hashbrowns and toast. The bacon was ok - 2 really soggy pieces. They gave me a good amount of hashbrowns, but failed to mention that they are cooked in red bell peppers, which I really don't care for. They also lacked in seasoning and were cold. Then the toast was cold and hard. I asked for some preserves to help it go down, and they inform me it would be extra (.50 extra we found out once we got the bill). FYI, a side of toast consists of two pieces and costs $3.00. Really Hodsons? You want to charge me for a small side of jam when you're already charging me $1.50 for A slice of bread? Sigh. I really wanted to like this place, but I just didn't at all. I will happily wait the hour for Snooze brunch next time!

My friend and I went there to try out their Happy Hour and in general get a feel for the place as it's new and we both live in the South Metro area and are always looking for good places. The service, was sub-par to say the least. The place was deserted and yet it still took almost 10 minutes for the bartender to come greet us and take our order. After reviewing the happy hour menu to ask questions in regards to the $5 Martini's as advertised, I was told that was only Dry Martinis. Nevertheless, I decided to try one of their specialty ones, $10 later, I receive a martini glass, about an inch from the top from being filled. Sorry, but if I'm paying $10, I'd at least like my glass to be filled. We then tried the appetizers, a flat bread pizza special and the brie with figs and apple served with baguette. Well, the pizza was decent, interesting, but decent. The brie however, was another story. It was baked brie with figs and apples, typically I would expect this to come with a hard piece of bread, like the baguette toasted, but it was soft and didn't go well with the brie and apples. Trying to still be optimistic, I thought I would tell the manager my thoughts on the meal to see if he would be open to suggestion as they are still new to the area. Well, he took about 15 minutes to actually come over and when he did, his attitude was very apparent on his face and was completely closed to anything I had to say. Apparently, I was not a good enough customer for him to listen to. He shrugged it off and walked away after we spoke for a whole, lets say 3 minutes? In any case, our bill was $60, we still left a average tip, but I will not be going back there or suggesting it to anyone.

Terrible. Terrible food and service. The waiter was completely incompetent. I would have expected much better at a restaurant that LOOKED like it would be great. The waiter mumbled when he spoke, delivered someone else's food to our table then delivered our food to the wrong table. Drinks (just tea and soda) took forever to receive then getting a refill was almost impossible. As for the food...the whole table felt it was so-so but I, on the hand, was disgusted. I had some sort of salad with chicken. The chicken was all dark meat (in a salad...really?) and my very last bite had a big BONE in it. Gross. We will never go back there.

I eat lunch here so often, I figured I'd better get around to reviewing it. When our office moved to the old southglenn mall, the plethora of restaurants in walking distance made up for the worse commute. I end up at Hodsons about once a week. They have a nice lunch deal where you pick a half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. Their cowboy chili comes up occasionally, and is great. And I'd never had a grilled cheese with apple in it before, but their white cheddar grill, with a bit of apple and bacon is another favorite. I can't say that I've ever had dinner here, but we've been for happy hour drinks several times as well. The Asian Nachos are a very tasty change from the usual bar munchies. And the big tip - go on Thursday night. If you have a lady in your party all the wine (maybe all the drinks, we just kept ordering bottles of wine) is 50% off. It's the bar service for happy hour that kicks it from three stars to four for me. Oh, and if you're trying to find them based on the google map up there on the side of yelp, don't. They're in that gray part to the north of where the pointer is.

This place has a contemporary feel to it. I had never been before so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. I really liked the ambiance and they have really comfortable chairs to sit in (if you're at a table not a booth.)The service was excellent. The food was amazing. I got the Prime Rib Dip which was probably one of the best I've ever had. The meat was so tender and as a side I got waffle fries which were also really yummy. The only down fall to this place was our waitress. Not that she wasn't attentive and pleasant or anything, but she talked REALLY quietly. It was like she was almost whispering when she took our orders and came back to repeatedly check on us. Aside from that, I would recommend Hodsons.

This is a really nice and relaxing restaurant. First class, relaxing, and great food. I have been here twice and have been very pleased each time. The texas chili was absolutely perfect, and so was the blue cheese burger. Nice service. Excellent food.

Went there for brunch. Looked like a very nice place and the atmosphere is great. Unfortunately the service was slow, and our meals not very good. We had the roast beef eggs Benedict which wasn't bad, but had an overly tangy sauce that was too much. Our other dish was the breakfast calzone which was a huge plate full, but turned out to be mostly bread, with maybe one egg inside. When we tried to get extra green chile for it we were informed there would be a charge, which was Ok (I guess) but after waiting 15 minutes for it, we finally gave up and told the waitress to cancel it. This is probably a much better happy hour place then a good brunch place.

We had the pleasure of meeting up with our brother and sister in law for dinner. We wanted to try somewhere in the new Streets of Southglenn and this was the winner. It happened to be the one year anniversary of Southglenn's opening so it happened to be pretty busy. However they still had 5 of us seated within 45 mins. on the highly requested patio. We stopped at the Skybar at the Theatre for a pre-dinner drink to pass the time (that's another review). Which worked great since they call your cell phone when your table is ready. So no need to be right out side the doors the whole time. Once seated they served us right away, there was definitely no waiting around here. The service was very friendly and helpful. The menu is something to drool over, as I could not make up my mind what to eat it all sounded sooo good. I went with the Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich with Sweet Potato fries. While it's not the best I've had, it was still very tasty. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal as well. It's a little pricey, but not too bad. And for a nice night out, I highly recommend it.

Took my parents and wife out to lunch at Hodsons, one of the larger restaurants in the Southglenn Streets area at Arapahoe and University area. Overall, we were impressed! The ambiance was modern, and service was prompt. Although, we were there at 12:45 on a Saturday and it was nearly empty. A bit strange. Food was outstanding -- everyone liked what they had... mostly salads with a rotisserie chicken. I had their prime rib sandwich, and yay, the meat looked like Prime rib! Outstanding! One of the best prime rib/french dip sandwiches I have had. No complaints. And while I can't say it was truly special, it made for a great lunch spot. Also, it was good to see they had a spacious patio... great for those days when the weather is just a bit warmer.

We really enjoy this restaurant in the Streets of Southglenn. We have been here probably 5 or 6 different times, usually on Monday nights. The service, particularly the bartender Brian, has always been fantastic. We have tried various menu items and absolutely love the Mussels! The calamari is also very good. The Prime Dip sandwich may be the best sandwich I've ever had. Looks like they have a great outdoor patio, looking forward to the spring and happy hour outside! Hodson's reminds me of Earls without all the girls, love the feel of the space. We will definitely be regulars here!

This place has major potential. The patio is so nice and pleasant, you walk by and can't help but imagine yourself sipping cocktails with your friends for hours on a warm Colorado evening. Sounds just about perfect right? Unfortunately Hodsons doesn't exactly harness this potential. Once I was there for happy hour with a friend in the late afternoon on a weekday. We were just about the only people in the restaurant (it was early, like 3:30pm) and so we were served by the hostess who was anything but hospitable. I felt like she was judging me no matter what I did and it made for a very uncomfortable experience. She turned up her nose at the fact that we only ordered a drink each and an appetizer (hello...it's only 3:30pm what do you expect?) The other times I've been the service has been better and the food has been okay but nothing to write home about. I really think the thing to do here is go for drinks and appetizers, most of which I've found to be pretty good. Everything else certainly isn't bad, it's just A-OK.

I went to Hodsons with my girlfiends.... and that was the best part of my experience. The food was very bland, the drinks were simple, and the service was 50/50. We were greeted by one server whom was very hospitable and attended to us, as I would expect any server to do. We were unfortunate in that another server, who I believe was 'training' our first server, graced us with his presence. He was making all of us feel uncomfortable, as if we were at some club in the LODO area. This is the last thing I want when trying to enjoy my lunch. After finishing our meal we were planning on staying for a few more drinks but with our second server lingering over us and drooling over his "trainee" we decided to call it quits. Not just for our lunch gathering, but for Hodsons in general. I would expect the kind of atmosphere provided by our "server" (who smelled awful of body odor mixed with booze) from a place like Chili's or Applebee's. If I ever do make the mistake of walking in to this place again, I would hope I get lucky with a server like the girl who greeted us originally. Thanks but no thanks Hodsons!

Awesome atmosphere and unique food. A tad pricey for portion size. I ordered the chicken and Brie sandwich. It had apples on it, which I found very refreshing. My wife ordered the grilled cheese, which also had apples that really gave the sandwich character. Service was fast and my drink was always full. My son is 14 months old and can't have dairy or meat right now, which has never really been a huge issue. We ordered him pasta that the menu indicated was tossed in butter and some other stuff. We asked if they could just bring us out the pasta, with perhaps a very small side of broccoli (this was the vegetable of the day). No problem on the pasta, but they charged us for the broccoli and brought out about 3 times as much as my son could eat. Aside from that, everything was very well done and I would probably recommend this place to friends looking for a better than average place to eat in the Denver area.

great cocktail, blood-orange manhattan. appetizer was the wonton nachos. it was great but the mango smelled/tasted like seafood so im guessing it was mixed with or used on the sushi line. gross. had the penne which was overpriced for the size. sauce was generic, noodles were obviously store bought. chicken wasnt fresh and prosciutto was nonexistent in the dish. if you're gonna charge 18 dollars for a pasta dish make sure the elements are up to par. ridiculous. our server was lovely though. overall, the bar program seems to be excellent in relation to the restaurants in this area. the food needs some upgrading in terms of quality maintenance and freshness.

All I can say is Prime Dip Sandwich! Tender, juicy, flavorful. The sweet brioche bread that is served on doesn't fall to soggy bits when dipped in the au jus. The horseradish sauce is light and spicy. I have been 4-5 times now to Hodson's and the service each time is excellent. Always attentive and fast. Knowledge of the wine list is a bit lacking, but that would be my only complaint. I have not had anything that I didn't enjoy, but so far the Prime Dip Sandwich is the best!

Terrible food, terrible service, and extremely overpriced. We went here with another couple just before going to the movie theater across the street. We had a dinner for 4 that cost us $180 (and one of the people in the party did not have any drinks or an actual dinner, just shared a few appetizers). The service was probably the wost I have encountered in a long time! The restaurant was practically empty yet the waitress was acting like the kitchen and bar were so backed up. Our water glasses remained empty for 40min at a time, the food arrived cold and terribly prepared. After waiting for over an hour to get our food, we talked to the manager and asked to move to the patio area and get a new waitress. The manager didn't seem too concerned with taking care of us. She moved us, and we got a new waiter, but 10min later, we got our old waitress back! And when we asked to split the check 2 ways based on what each couple had, she couldn't remember! We had to write on the check how much for each. That's a first - even waiters at Applebee's can easily do that simple task. Very disappointed, will not ever be back! Decor was nice, that is about the only thing I'll give them.

people. with the tvs. what's with the tvs? there was not a single restaurant in the streets of southglenn that did not have 2-3 televisions visible from every possible vantage point. we finally picked hodsons, because from the sidewalk there appeared to be hope for a partially tv-less table. wrong! the service was fast and friendly. for $12, my burger and sweet potato fries were pretty good. for $19, my husband's salmon was overcooked and just okay. i was happy about my black & tan. next time we're down there i will try diego zhang's, and then call that whole area done. except for the buffet bar at whole foods!

Ok so I don't get out much. I had my first dinner and a movie with my husband and another couple last Saturday in probably five years. The staff was appropriately attentive, the food was good, the price was reasonable. It was right next to the movie theater. 5 stars. Would repeat!

Tried Hodson's for dinner before the movie on a busy Friday night and it was great! Used OpenTable to reserve a table and got right in. They had game 7 of the World Series on the multiple HDTVs and we could see the game from our table across from the bar area. The food was really good. I had Tacos Pacifico and my wife got the Allentown Burger. She does not like waffle fries so our waiter recommended switching out to the shoe string fries that normally come on the Kobe appetizer. She also requested gluten free with no bun. Everything came out as requested and tasted great. Hodson's is an upscale place with a clean contemporary feel, but the service was friendly and attentive. $3.50 for Five Barrels ale & $12 for Toasted Head Chard (9oz.) not out of line for a classy place on a Friday night. Our waiter, James, was excellent and we enjoyed the entire experience.

TOTALLY disappointed!! Went for 5280. Hadn't noticed previously, but once there saw that they offer 1 shared app, 2 entrees and 1 shared dessert for their 5280 deal. Did quick math in my head and realized that one entree choice aside, it wasn't a deal at all. Any other 4 items equal right about $52. I don't care all that much except that 5280 is supposed to be a deal. Didn't bother ordering from that menu. Got lobster mac/cheese. Totally NOT what I envisioned. BOOORING and bland and lobster was WAY overcooked (should've sent back). Husband got scallops - also small and bland. Waiter had ZERO personality and would do things like take empty drink and not ask if we'd like another. He was unattentive and not friendly or personable at all. ONLY good was bus boy who should be waiter. FRIENDLY and funny! He was the highlight of our experience and I wish I'd gotten his name. For the money, MUCH MUCH better choices in Denver area - heck, even in that shopping center!!

This was our 4th time at Hodson's over the past 6-7 months. I keep going back hoping it will be better. It wasn't. Is Hodson's terrible? No. It is worth the price and irritation? No. The service is still quite poor. We've only had one of our 4 visits where it has been acceptable. This last time it was marginal. The other two times is was abysmal. The servers just seem unhappy and generally inconvenienced when you ask them to refill your water or get you a fork. The food described on the menu sounds yummy. If only it would look or taste as good as it sounded. Did it taste bad? Nope. But its appeal was not anywhere as good as the relatively high prices would warrant. My rotisserie chicken salad was seriously lacking in chicken and as one diner before me mentioned, it was mostly dark meat. My husband's burger was decent but overpriced. Every time we've been to Hodson's we've been intrigued by their decadent dessert menu but by that time have always been annoyed by the underwhelming dining experience, we usually can't wait to leave. Instead we head over to Maggie Moo's for an ice cream and declare we won't be back. This time we mean it.

This place has gone downhill. Used to really like the service and the food, but the menu has been slashed, food quality is poor, and the service has worsened. Drinks are watered down too. If you're in Southglenn spend your money at Bar Louis or Mellow Mushroom. This place is no longer worth it.

The good at Hodson's is good and imaginative, and the drinks are strong. But the place is almost unbearably noisy. We managed to snag a cubbyhole table in the back corner, and, at least, could hear each other talk (not always possible in table and booths in the center of the place. The other noteworthy thing is the bifurcated menu. There are $15+ entrees. There are $30+ entrees. But not much in-between. Both sets are good (the flatbreads were very tasty, the osso bucco yummy if not quite falling off the bone, the chicken sliders enjoyable), but the split still felt odd. We'll be back, mostly for the good food and the convenience at Southglenn. I just wish they could figure out some sound absorbing strategies.

Hodson's has continued to improve, and after many visits with no bad experiences, I have to give them an update to 5 stars. We've gone for brunch, lunch, dinner and just drinks. At all three, the menu includes options in the $10 range as well as $20+, and I've had lovely entrees at both ends of the spectrum. I'm partial to the turkey burger, Asian chicken salad, rotisserie chicken salad (or anything including the rotisserie chicken, to be honest), risotto, and the mac n' cheese. The smoked salmon hash is probably one of the best brunch entrees I've had anywhere. All drinks are reasonably priced, and they have a great wine list. The brunch bottomless mimosas are great. We've never had bad service here, either-- on the rare occasion there's been a problem, every effort was made to fix it. This is one of our favorite places in the area. We're definitely regulars.

Avoid this restaurant! They certainly avoid prompt greetings, attentive wait staff, good food and good value. There are reasons that there is no one here at lunch on a Friday. I could give specifics but they are numerous and I don't want to waste any more time on a place that will surely close soon! Good riddance!

I can't believe a place this pricey can be so terrible. Service was rude and call me crazy, but a $16 burger shouldn't come from a pre-shaped frozen 1/3 lb patty. The mushrooms tasted like they were sautéed the previous day. Fries were ok. I ordered it without the bun (gluten free) and it came with a single piece of wilted lettuce. None in our party of 4 likes the food. I don't mind paying for good food. This wasn't even close to good.

Bummer...one of my favorite restaurants has completely changed menus. We live immediately above this restaurant in the Portola apartments and used to really enjoy eating here for dinner. They always seemed busy and we never had a meal we didn't like. The menu was very eclectic and had a lot of unique options. But overnight they completely changed the menu. Employees say there is a new chef. I think they forgot that the chef shouldn't dictate the menu -- the customers should. I'm all for updating a menu, but completely changing it? Not unless you need to reinvent yourself, and I don't know why they'd need to do that... Tonight's review: 1st Blood Orange Margarita was very good; right mix of ingredients. 2nd tasted totally different -- and not in a good way. Maybe too much triple sec? To their credit, it was remade and the replacement was back to being great. Dueling Ahi Tuna starter: Ahi poke with avocado was excellent; however, the Ahi tuna slices had the flavor seared right out of them. H Burger was awesome -- wontons and spicy sesame sauce gave it a unique appeal, and it was cooked pretty well (more well done than medium well, but not bad). The duck fat truffle fries were flavorful but barely warm. Ahi Steak was a thicker version of the tuna appetizer but the sweet/spicy sauce helped it a lot...much better overall with the sauce, but they need to work on how they sear the ahi so it doesn't lose so much flavor. The ahi is, after all, what you're paying for, not the sauce. (Couscous was good.) Dessert: Like the new main menu, the dessert is very small -- three items plus 2 dessert drinks. Creme Brûlée Martini -- just like it sounds and awesome. Deconstructed Black Forest cake -- awful. Overcooked, hard, and basically inedible. The chocolate mousse on the side was pretty good, as was the chocolate on top. They took the cake off our bill because it was so hard. There was a cherry liqueur that was also on the side that we didn't like at all, but I think that's just personal preference. All in all, not stellar EXCEPT the server. Olivia was awesome. Hospitable, quick, helpful and seemed to really care. She gets 5 stars! Because I don't care much for the new menu (lot less appealing, and what we did have was hit or miss), I give the meal 2 stars. Sorry Hodson's...I've never given anything less than a stellar review when I use Yelp, but when the ownership makes such a significant change and then fails to deliver on that change, I feel it's worth mentioning. Hope things become more consistent and perhaps you bring back at least some of the items that sold really well on the last menu?

Don't even bother, not even for a drink! Even though we saw the bad reviews, my husband and I stopped here for a drink, thinking, you can't mess up a drink. Wrong! We ordered two old fashioneds and they were horrible! He said his was just watery and mine tasted spoiled. How does an alcoholic beverage taste rancid?! Terrible. And neither of us said much at the time because we didn't want to be party poopers, but later that night we kept coming back to how horrible the drinks were! Stay away.

I have to say, the service was great! The restaurant was packed when we got there, so we had to wait for a bit. The manager was very attentive while we were waiting, and worked to find us a table under the wait time promised. Our server was awesome and attentive. The issues. They had a sign outside advertising irish meals to celebrate St. Patricks day. It listed all the meals and they looked really good. When we went to order, we were told that those foods weren't available that night. That's ok, but we were definitely a little let down because that's what drew us in. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be false advertising, but it was definitely a disappointment to start off the dinner. I decided to order the filet, and my fiance got the burger. I ordered my filet medium rare, but when it showed up, it was well done. I'm not willing to pay $30 for something I didn't order, so I sent it back and asked for medium rare. It finally showed up after my fiance finished his burger, but was cooked rare - blue rare. It was bacon wrapped, and the bacon wrapped around it was pretty soggy and not well cooked. I feel like if you are going to sell me a $30 filet, it should be cooked right the first time. And, if I send it back, it should definitely be cooked right after having to send it back once. I decided to just eat it since I was starving. It wasn't what I wanted, but I sucked it up. The service was great, but the food was just so bad. We tipped well, but left feeling "meh". I just dropped this to 1 star cause my fiancé and I have had upset stomachs all morning. Pretty sure our meals are responsible

I love the Hodson's downtown but this location is very lackluster in comparison. I had a BOGO coupon to burn through so we went here last night and there was a decent crowd for a Tuesday night. However, there were screaming minions and it was nice out so we chose to sit on the patio which was a bummer because I was loving the modern décor inside. But then again there's a couch on the patio so that redeemed themselves a bit and I will be back to lounge on that with a glass of wine! We waited there for about 10 minutes before a server came over (although ones kept walking past us, sweeping and getting their sidework finished) and she seemed nice but homegirl needs to take a Service 101 class or get a watch. She was pretty slow with everything, refills, dropping the check, etc. It's a shame too because like last time, the food was amazing. I got the steak flatbread with sweet potato waffle fries (beware, they upcharge you $1.50 if you want to do this, she didn't let us know about the charge). Food was amazing-grilled flatbread that was fresh and steak smothered in cheese, avocado, tomato with a spicy sauce. Whatever the sauce was made the sandwich, I would go back alone for that! I will definitely return to this location since it's a nice stop when you're milling around Southglenn and they have happy hour specials. ***Edit, the three stars is for the bad service not the minions. To the dbag who said my review is stupid, read the whole thing, it's not all about the minions.

Makenzie is the best;). The Lemon thyme salad is delicious . The meat pizza is yummy. The staff here always make you feel like your at home. Love this place. Great place to catch a game.

First time at Hodsons. Super disappointed. Forgot our appetizer order, never came by once to see how our meal was. (Which was not good). Our meal was flavorless, cold, and mediocre. Sides were ok. Just bummed. Won't be coming back.

Actually this was better than I remember...seems like an overflow crowd from another busy restaurant near by. The waiter was great, very nic,e very efficient. The burgers were good the fries were good. They had Mr. Pipp, close enough to Dr. Pepper so they get a star just for that... But the one thing they did that is just ridiculous to me is I asked for a side of Ranch for my fries. Seems like a simple enough request and it was but they charged me 75 cents... REALLY, 75 cents for a thimble size portion of RANCH that EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD gives you for free... If that 75 cents makes or breaks your restaurant than close. If you are having a difficult time filling the tables don't charge 75 cents for Ranch dressing to make up the deficit, fix your menu. There were four of us and the number one comment was there is no theme to this menu, it is all over the place. The chef / owner should sit down and fix the menu and REMOVE THE 75 CENT Ranch dressing side item. It really is so laughable it's ridiculous. You didn't charge me 75 cents for my ketchup... Come on Hodson's...

When we first walked in, our host magically became our waiter after we saw him walk around the restaurant for about 6-7 minutes. Oddly enough, he was more social with the two other tables he was waiting on. No need to ask for condiments because he was too busy laughing it up with the others including his coworkers. It was a super slow night. Even after we left, there was still plenty of seating available on a cold weekday night. This place certainly has the potential to be a 5 star place in Southglenn but the poor attitude by our waiter was overshadowed by our appetite. The food came out ok. Temperature a bit colder than usual. (Seemed as though it had been sitting out for awhile) I can only cross my fingers that next time it'll be a better experience. Between this location and the downtown one, I'd almost say your trip will be much better if you travel north.
