Pretty much if you've done this type of dining then you'll come out feeling like a winner. There's a trick to this madness. They ask you what size bowl you want. I opted for small. This size is by no means going to be a reflection of how less you're going to eat. This is where that experience in this kind of dining comes in. Not a Pro Tip: But someone who's dined this way enough I can tell you it's the way you pack your ingredients every time you add a layer. So wash your hands beforehand. Load with the provided serving spoon and press with your hand. Repeat until your bowl is as tall as Mt Everest! Pick your sauce. They only have one sauce that is not sweet. Ask someone to guide you. After hiking this is a favorite food to load up with carbs. Be aware that you can pack your bowl with more meat or more noodles. Can't do both simply because there's not enough space. So follow your gut. Literally listen to it and happy padding!

I've been meaning to try this place for a long time, I've always took note of it when on travel with its close proximity to my hotel and the additional attraction by the four star Yelp ratings. The concept of fresh ingredients being chosen by the customer to design their Asian concoction is pretty cool; however, more effective with pizza and burritos. When it comes to Mongolian cuisine, I rather have a chef dictate the ingredients and spices. Nonetheless, my bowl turned out decent, but lacking sauce, ostensibly identifying me as a poor cook. I wish my waitress offered instructions or recommendation on the quantity of sauce to use, as they do at other Mongolian make your own dish restaurants. Our waitress explained the process in great detail. I delivered my bowl full of fresh goodies to the "kitchen", and enjoyed my appetizer, Potstickers. They were tasty with a nice crunch on the outside stuffed with moist all white meat chicken and garnished with their killer 3G sauce. Wasn't bad or great, just okay.

I was actually rather impressed! I hadn't had Mongolian in a really long time and we decided to try this place out on a whim (we were originally going to go to Wahoo's which is next door). I ended up getting chicken, beef, and scallops...adding some veggies and onions, lots of different spices and I mixed it up a bit with fried rice and thick noodles. DELICIOUS!! Just writing this review makes me want to go get some for dinner tonight. OH, and I added an egg. I'll definitely go back and try out different flavors. Environment was cozy and the service was great (granted it was fairly empty with only a handful of tables).

Really good food here! The staff was also very friendly. Our waiter was helpful with informing us of how things were done there. I decided to get a large bowl (huge portion by the way, I would recommend getting a medium or small). We got all the meats mixed into our bowls and just basic veggies like onions, bell peppers, and broccoli. The sauces were good, I did a mixture of teriyaki and a touch of their spicier sauces as well as the dragon dry spice and the sauce. It wasn't too spicy but I'm sure if you want it to be spicy, you could make it that way with more of the kickin sauces. Afterward you choose your carb and they load it up and bring it to your table, I got the udon and my wife got the rice noodle. They are not stingy with their portions so bring your appetite! I would recommend this place, we didn't have any alcoholic drinks but it seemed that they had a pretty good selection. If you're in the area and are feeling real hungry, this is a good place. It was about $8 for small, $10 for medium, and $13 for large.

The idea of Mongolian BBQ is sort of like a salad bar where you pick your proteins, vegetables, spices, and sauces, and then they cook it for you in minutes. The place is great for lunch although avoid arriving around noon as it gets very crowded. Great location if you work in DTC or Park Meadows.

Delicious food! A good Mongolian-oriented restaurant. Service was attentive without being overbearing. I plan to bring coworkers back with me next week! I had beef with more beef, some veggies and the peanut sauce. You go through a queue/line with all the goodies, give it to a chef, they cook it and your server brings it to your table when it's done cooking (so you can sit and chat/drink your drink/whatever). Lots of rice/noodle options.

My husband and I enjoyed this place a lot even though it's not an all you can eat buffet place. Our server offered us a small, medium, or large bowl and led us to the food bar where we were able to fill them with our chose of protein, veggies, and sauces. We took our bowls and the guys at the grill took our bowls, asked us which starch we wanted, and directed us back to our table where our server would bring us our bowls. They came rather quickly and we very good. Read the rest of my review on my travel blog at ourtravelingblog.com/201… . Enjoy and happy travels!

I love Mongolian and have been to quite a few spots. This very well may be the best one I've seen. The Fresh Meats were amazing. I'm use to frozen meats at these spots. I also like the drop and deliver model over hanging out at the big round grill. Go large bowl and you will only need one trip. Don't miss this place. Looks kind of generic in the shopping center, but it is the bomb!

Fun place to grab a quick lunch, fast clean and friendly! Build your own stir fry with a lot of fun fresh meats and vegetables, spices and sauces!
(3)Matthew M.
Delicious!!!! Friendly staff. Amazing food. Love all the choices. Run here for lunch. You'll love it
(5)Jessi J.
This is a great place for a quick meal, made exactly the way you want it! I always stick with the little black bowl because holy cow, its A LOT of food. I love experimenting and trying out all of the different combinations of proteins and sauces. My favorite is their housemade specialty sauce, its quite tasty! The cocktails are alright, come in very huge glasses with a small amount of alcohol, but they taste pretty good. It gets crowded quickly during dinner time, which can be a little annoying having to stand in line, but hey, that's life. Only change I would make would be to add some edamame to the menu that isn't spicy!!! Not every one can eat spicy food, and its a shame to miss out on one of my favorite appetizers.

If you don't like making decisions, don't eat here! But if you like to be in control of how many veggies you're eating or how much meat is in your bowl, this place is for you! Three sizes of bowls to choose from - Small $7.99, Reg $9.99, Large $12.99. Add a dollar to each price for dinner. The idea is you pick the size bowl you want, head up to the counter with all the meat and veggie choices and pile it in the bowl. Then choose your sauce, then choose your starch (they also offer cabbage as an alternative), then watch them throw it on the huge round grill, then have a seat while it's being cooked up and they'll serve it to you when it's done. It's a good amount of food if you pile it correctly in the smaller metal bowl they give you. My husband did an amazing job at this, using taller veggies on the side to add room for piling higher. It can be fun picking out all your own items and the way they grill it is delicious. The things I didn't like so much, it was freezing in there (maybe because the guys grilling are so sweaty) and some of the items weren't as fresh as expected. But overall, a great place to eat!

Lone Tree is probably best known for Parks Meadows Mall and now IKEA. Predictably, the food isn't the greatest. The only restaurants I've seen in the vicinity are chains, and for some reason these mall-related branches are especially abysmal. Ghengis Grill, however has really good food, and if it doesn't that's your fault. This is one of those places you pick the ingredients: protein, spices, veg, and cooking sauce and they put it together and serve you. I like to get it with extra broccoli rather than a starch like rice or noodles, but that's just me. The only thing I'd like to see done differently is I'd like to see a cooking sauce without sugar. Also, they should put lettuce wraps BACK on the menu. The service is usually friendly, but can be a bit absent minded. All in all Ghengis is the best option for lunch on a shopping trip to Park Meadows.

I like the Genghis. I've been there a few times in recent weeks and today's visit was a new experience. They now have these table top ordering things. You can order your drinks, adult beverages and appetizers from your table before anyone gets to you.. or if you figure out you want something while they are otherwise engaged. The other neat thing about this new table top experience is you can pay your check from it. You don't have to ask.. beg.. flail your arms like someone on fire to get someone's attention to get a check. Yes, I am a flailer when I have to get back to work quickly. This new little bundle of joy will even let you split the check as many ways as you want. Equally or item by item. I see this as a GREAT thing especially when you want to split things up and someone wants to pay for someone else. You know how many different combinations of who wants to pay for what and how there can be. You can even play a game on it! Oh yes.. the place itself. Clean, busy, fresh ingredients, tons of different combinations you can create yourself and 3 different sizes to satisfy any appetite.
(4)Subhashish S.
I visited the place during lunch hour with few folks..Food was excellent; lot of varieties to choose from..Server was very kind..definitely we will visit again...
(4)Donna C.
Amazing food!!! We have been looking for a good Mongolian BBQ and finally found it!! Fresh everything - will return!!!!
(5)Deepan B.
It was my first visit to this franchise, I like the concept and how the whole thing comes together. My only worry was that I could not call it a very comfortable quantity. I will try it another time and probably update my review after that! For the taste there is no way to review that because you get what you put on your cups! No way to complain on that now!
(4)Phil H.
Big fan of Mongolian bbq in general, but Genghis Grill does a great job. I like the idea of having canned recipes as a starting point to customize from. The ingredients are fresh, and there are plenty of choices. The pricing is very reasonable, the staff is friendly, and I like the electronic devices on the table that allow you to order additional items and pay (including splitting the check). Overall, a great choice.
(4)Allen S.
If you've been to a Genghis Grill this one is par for the course. Good staff, great food, and great drinks.

dear friend of ours gave BOGO coupon and here we are. we walked in.. followed peolpe front of us to the line and grabbed largest bowl (3 sizes) and looked for price. couldnt find it but couldnt beat the BOGO. following group front of us, filled mine with lots of meat, spices and vegi and also bearly managed to put one egg and .. grabbed sauce and chose my bad carb and got the # and found seat nearby. i could hear one of the cook telling others to "cook with passion".. yeah, i agree.. when seated, well... at this time, finding out that we skipped the step #1. we suppose to be seated and menu and such? still not sure. wait person comes over and started questioning where we got the bowl and such.. we are like.. "huh?" well, questioning went well and she took our drink orders. this is the only place where beer is cheaper than the soft drinks. wow. $2 for all kinda beers and $2.50 for soft drinks.. our grilled meals came out within 5 mintues or less as it seems and it was hot hot hot. nice nice nice. mental note for me next time.. 1. large was $12.99 per bowl and was bit much food so go for medium 2. cabage is carb replacement option so i can skip cabbage at the vegi station and put more of other offerings. 3. put more sauces since the bland carb soaks up 4. ask for to go container at the beginning and divide up your meal so you dont indulge 100% and regreat later how full you are. 5. Don't forget to tip the cook. They will rewards you with "gong". * I will be back!
(4)O'Shay B.
Great idea. Choose your meat, spices, veggies, sauce, and carb. Grilled up and served in a bowl. Service is awesome and the price is right. What are you waiting for?
(5)Colette D.
First visit...pretty good, not a traditional Mongolian grill, in some ways this is better and in some ways not. I did like the fresh cuts of meat and seafood, not frozen thin slices of meat here! The veggies are fresh and there are a lot of fun seasonings and sauces that you can add. You can also ask for double rice or noodles at no charge and can add eggs to make your stir fry even more yummy. The bowl sizes are odd though...you see three sizes, a small, medium and a large bowl, it looks like good portions and you think you are getting a great deal....and then you are handed a smaller silver bowl to collect your stir fry items in. The small, medium and large bowls are just the serving bowls...it's a little deceiving. The food was tastey, prices decent, but I will up my bowl size the next time!
(3)Steve T.
Usually this place is pretty good. Today we were stuck in a rush. The food was undercooked and the service was disorganized. Since this is one of our favorites we will return
(4)Etana D.
Wonderful place to go get what you wanna eat and taste yourself. The name says it all. You get a stir fried of pretty much any protein. I definitely recommend this place for group or otherwise, to eat in or take home. The food came out in minutes, the waiter did a good job of helping me walk through the picking and making my plate.
(5)Eric L.
This is a fun concept and a way to really customize your meal. Food here is always fresh and they have plenty of veggies, meats, sauces and spices to choose from. Great service and food and a unique experience. You can pay at yout table with a new device which was very convenient.
(4)Cyndi J.
I know ... it's a chain ... but I really enjoyed it. There is something so comforting to me about putting the exact ingredients I want into my meal and watching someone cook it in front of me. If you haven't been, here's the deal: you choose from 3 sizes of bowls. The small looks small, but let me tell you, if you have a regular appetite, just get the small! I got a medium and was overwhelmed! You add protein and vegetables into the bowl, then you can use any variety of pre-made sauces (use the separate cup, don't pour the sauce into your bowl, they are quite sugary and can carmelize and burn the food, let the cooks throw your sauce on at the final minute of cooking). You then select your starch - a variety of rice and noodles. I made a beef (2 kinds) bowl with peppers, onions, and tomatoes and mixed a few sauces with fried rice. It was quite delicious! I sat at the bar, and as a single diner, sometimes the staff tries to make you feel awkward. Not so here. My bartender was friendly and attentive. This is a fun place to 'choose your own adventure' meal. Love it!
(4)Leila Z.
LOVE LOVE LOvE!! Great atmosphere! Delicious food and great customer service definitely recommend if you want a healthy dinner!
(5)Mean Guy I.
Super fun place !!! The waiter was great, he explained the concept well. You pick a bowl size, we did the medium. You pick your meat or fish, pick the spice of your choice, load up the vegges and pick a sauce.. You then give it all to the cook who then cooks it up with your choice rice or noodles... The waiter then brings it out..... Good stuff I've been to one of these types of places in Arizona.... This was way better! Most definitely coming back. My one and only gripe is its tight in the restaurant and kind of hard to move around... Other then that, this is a real fun place to eat.
(5)Christopher N.
It's not all you can eat but they really let you pile your bowl really high! The best thing is if you join their rewards Club you get a free bowl after several purchases and a free bowl on your Birthday!
(5)Susan M.
Hu Hots Mongolian SO MUCH better! Having been a fan of HuHots Mongolian for so long but since we were On the south side of town, we thought we would give this place a try. One of us ordered the ready-made Thai bowl, and it was pretty tasteless. They are supposed to make it with a peanut curry sauce, but there is no way because it was very bland. At HuHots you can make as many bowls as you want. Here, you have to choose 1 bowl. At HuHots, a salad comes with dinner. Here, nothing but the bowl. HuHots - Watch the friendly grill master prepare your food in front of your eyes. Here, sit at your table until somebody brings tour bowl to you. At HuHots, they have so many recipe cards that there is one or more for every persons' taste. Here, they had 4 recipe cards on the shelves. I suppose service was okay, marginally. We were so confused and Our server really couldn't explain it to us. I will not be coming back here, and I am looking forward to returning to HuHots to even more.

I. Love. This. Place. *beams happily* There's not a thing about it I don't like. Well...maybe *one* - and it's been graciously chatted up in detail by Dale Z -- thank you very much Dale. (The issue about the bowls.) I went with a veteran, and he said the medium bowl was pretty big; I opted for the "big" bowl, and ended up getting 2 meals for the price of one. But be warned: you're probably going to feel shorted *unless* you have mastered (or have an uncanny novice skill in, like I apparently did, filling your bowl like Mt. Everest.) You get 1 trip through kids; that's all. Make it count. (Since I'm a happy omnivore, I filled my bowl with raw to-be-grilled ingredients until I thought it was slightly past level; my pro friend shook his head and said..."Build a mountain". So I did.) Pro tip: cabbage or a flat layer of bean sprouts makes a nice "leveling" foundation. Pro tip #2, if it's your 1st time: there *is* a 2nd row of ingredients, and if you like mushrooms - it's down that 2nd row. Just sayin'. You don't fill your bowl with a starch like at for example BD's; they will add that in for you. To their credit, they did not short me on the udon noodles -- one of my favorite food substances and forms :D . I've heard pretty much every meat protein here is good to fantastic -- with the exception of the pork, which can be somewhat gristly or fatty. The marinated ones are all wonderful, as is the turkey. If the concept of having a completely open deli and produce area where you grab what you want and create your own Frankenbowl doesn't appeal to you, they have at least a dozen "default" bowl recipes (even on little cards you can carry along) that you can put together like a jigsaw puzzle. Easy peasy. There are a goodly number of spices you can choose from, including the much loved "dragon salt". Don't be scared - it's really relatively mild-mid range. Better than the straight cayenne. You sprinkle it on with tiny spoons that look like they could be used for the inhalation of certain powdery white narcotics...yes, they look like that. I was amused... Ah! I would be remiss if I didn't mention my alcohol exploration: they have a specialty combo here called the "Blue Fire". Sounds exotic and cool. What it is is a Blue Moon served in a glass with a "shot" of Fireball, everyone's flavorite cinnamon whisky (at least that I've seen). It *is* possible that these separately delicious beverages go well together -- but I made the error of squeezing in the ubiquitous orange slice that comes with Blue Moon bottles. This pushes the sweetness of the concoction a bit over the top. Your tastes may vary, but I found it to be overly sweet. I'm not sure if lemon or lime would work better with the mix; I actually mentioned it to our server and she said she would pass the thoughts along to the bartender. Give it a try...just thought I'd venture a warning... Some notes from my scribblings on the Yelp app: Kerry is the GM; he came by and asked us how the quality of our food was and chatted us up about 5-10 mins, which was a nice touch - he told us "all the calories here are in the sauces"...and that's probably mostly true. It's certainly healthy enough depending on what you choose here, but it won't be low calorie unless you consciously choose to "make it so" - sauces, just like salad dressings, add a bucketload of calories in a very short time. (But...the sauces appear to be really good here. I had half a spicy one and half a peanut one mixed together; bowl *liberally* drowned in what they call "garlic water" - with small bits of garlic floating in it. Can't go wrong unless you're allergic or a vampire...) They open at 1030am... this lunch tip comes from the manager directly: Monday and Wednesday you want to come in after 1245...or so and then it's reasonable...but Tuesday Thursday and Friday the line will be out the door waiting to be seated.

Really great food! Just get there before the lunch rush! I love Mongolian grill and my office mates and I usually frequent this location every other Friday for lunch. First off the food is amazing! They give you a bowl and you walk through the food line picking and choosing what items you want cooked FRESH! They have a wide variety of marinated meats to choose from, as well as all the usual veggies, sauces, seasonings, noodles or rice. Usually when you get to the front of the line to get your food cooked you probably waited a max of 5 mins to get through the food line. The employee that you talk to about half of the time give you a wipe for your hands, and you can pick up your chopsticks and condiments too. The food is usually on the table about 5 minutes later and it's fresh, hot and OOoooo.....so yummy. Plus if you come with your kids and they're picky about the food they'll make you a special thing of Mac and Cheese for FREE. The owner is very nice and occasionally walks through to make sure everything is meeting your expectation. The only thing that keeps it from getting 5 stars is because the wait to get seated is almost always a guarantee. The reason for the wait is because the food really is that good, but if you arrive 5 minutes into the lunch rush you're likely to have to wait for seating. But it's totally worth it!

The three stars isn't meant to be an insult. We ate there yesterday and it was decent. Decent service, decent food but nothing to write home about. I've had better Mongolian.
(3)Izzy S.
Not as fantastic as I remember GG being. We drove an extra twenty minutes out of our way to dine here, for eeeh food. The server was plesant enough however the food was a pretty big letdown.
(2)Eric S.
The food is great but the server got visibly angry when it appeared that we didn't tip him at first when really we just left the tip on the table. He furiously crumbled up the receipt and turned and shook his head at us... Kind of ruined the experience.

My wife and I love it here. The food is high quality, it's very fast and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. We will be coming back soon.

This is a good alternative to downtowns bds Mongolian bbq.. very yummy lots of options fast and friendly costumer service clean and inviting..

Food here is pretty good. Only 3 stars because I always seem to have an upset stomach for 24 hours after I eat there. I wish they had more appatizers, they only have two. I think it would do better as a fast casual restaurant (like Panera or Chipotle). I have a hard time tipping when i get up to make my food. Overall pretty good. Hubby does prefer BD's downtown to Genghis. Guys make it a competition, how much meat can you pile in? The trick, put the veggies at the bottom and meat on top. I can get two meals out of the "small" size. Genghis knows this so they put the meat before the veggies in line. Just skip to veggies first and go back to the meat. Overall id recommend giving it a try.

This place is pretty good. They have a large selection of items to choose from and the place is always clean. They do a great job at keeping the handles and food bar clean. Great for a quick lunch or dinner. You also don't have to stand around until they cook your food. They will bring it out to you once it is done. Overall my favorite Mongolian grill in Denver.
(5)Josh T.
I love it here! I have been to many Genghis grills across the country and these guys nail it. Very professional service and the food is delicious as well as plentiful. Jeremiah was a very attentive bartender and helped us navigate the bar menu as well as the food. Nicest guy in town! I will be back because of the food but also the service. Good luck finishing your meal here! You should get a tee shirt or a toaster if you tackle your meal here. Just remember, you pick EVERYTHING that goes in your meal so if it's not great then that's all you! I drive 20 miles to eat here and Jeremiah and the selection will keep me doing that. Bring your sense of adventure and design your own dinner! Too much fun!
(5)Lindsey M.
Very pleased with this place! Service was fast and friendly and the little electronic device on the table was convenient when we were ready to pay. Loved being able to choose what I did and did not want and the $2 beers were an added bonus for my husband. We don't usually frequent chain/fast food places but after spending time in Guitar Center, I was starting. This was a healthy and enjoyable option. We will be back!
(4)Mai N.
I've been here a few times. Create your own bowl concept is ok. I've been to better. Food is fresh and prepared to your liking. Portions are a disappointment. Can they make the plates any smaller??
(4)M M.
A bit pricey for what you get. $30 for 2 large bowls and 2 waters. If you dislike your food, it is your fault because you build it yourself! Or if you are timid, you can order from the menu. This is a bit more hands on than I'm used to for Mongolian BBQ, but this is probably a good thing for noobs. We tried the chicken, beef, and pork, and we both thought the chicken was the best. I had a peanut flavored sauce that was pretty tasty. We will be back. But next time I'll be packing my bowl tighter and ordering a smaller size.
(3)Alden G.
Excellent quality fresh and healthy ingredients arranged logically and displayed well, with a wide variety of spices and sauces you add yourself prior to grilling. Nice place; we'll be back often. I find this idea of Mongolian cooking interesting, leading to the question, 'do Mongolians really cook this way?' The answer is no; Mongolian cuisine consists of dairy products, meat, and animal fats with Chinese and Russian influences today. You'd find grilled mutton more common in the Mongolian countryside; this iron griddle approach is closer to Japanese teppanyaki. Genghis himself probably never ate this well either, though I'm sure tenderizing meat by hanging between the galloping thighs of a Siberian pony imparted its own special tang, back in the day.

A-OK about sums up my opinion of Genghis Grill. It's a nice option to toss in the mix of fast-casual eateries near Park Meadows and IKEA. But, is it someplace I'm going to go out of my way to visit, especially if I'm in the mood for Mongolian stir fry? Probably not. Hubby and I stopped in after lightening our wallets at IKEA Sunday afternoon. We love Mongolian grills, and we had hoped Genghis Grill would be on par with BD's. While we felt the food quality itself was good, the service and concept is what's keeping me from giving this much more than three stars. The greeter was incredibly friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our server to appear. She immediately suggested an appetizer and asked us what size bowl we wanted. Like others, we were a little taken aback that the bowls we'd been given to stuff were a good deal smaller than the bowls we ordered. I felt that the line was organized well. They certainly have a good selection of meats and veggies, and I like the recipe cards (though, I wish they had more suggestions like HuHot does.) I don't like that I don't get to choose multiple sauces to dump on my food. They have one person whose sole job is to scoop out one paltry cup of sauce to each patron - no more. I like my stir fry heavy on the sauce. Disappointing. We handed our food off to be cooked (I do like this - I don't like standing around the grill waiting for my food). Our drinks were waiting, and we didn't have to wait long for lunch to arrive. The food tasted *good*, so food quality is definitely up there with BD's. But I just didn't feel that we got the amount of food we would at BD's, nor did I like spending over $9 for a single trip through. That's definitely gouging. No real pressure for desserts or bar drinks; our server upsold a little but no more than I'd expect. One thing which really bothered hubby - the bartenders were playing quarters the whole time we were there. Really, guys? That bothers me. A LOT. Overall, it was okay. I would go here if I were in the area and really, really wanted Mongolian grill. But, there are so many other options for fast-casual nearby that I don't know if I'd make it my top choice.
(3)Nic Z.
Overpriced and had an awful taste to it; I'm not sure whether it was an oil they used, but it almost had the same aftertaste as food with freezer burn.
(2)Laura D.
Horrible service. Each time my server, Brandon, walked up to my table he said "Sorry" because he had made me wait so long. To place my order and for my bill, I waited forever. So disappointing especially when there were more wait staff than customers. I purposefully came at 11 on a weekday so that I could skip that horrendous line. Guess what, I waited anyway! (On my server). And for the first time, the food wasn't great. All of my meat was burnt around the edges. They have a computer screen on the table and I clicked on "pay" while I was waiting FOREVER for my check and surprise, surprise- it doesn't work! Then, get it off the table!! This place WAS good. Not anymore. Bummer

Having perused the Yelp reviews for this place, and having come here for dinner the other night, there are a few things I can parse about Genghis Grill. Firstly, this is not a traditional Mongolian BBQ (this seems to infuriate some people, irritate others, and be of no consequence to some). Secondly, they do have some nice quality offerings. Thirdly, they have several additional non-Mongolian offerings on the menu. I fall into the category of somewhat irritated by the departure from what I consider the traditional Mongolian model. Typically, these places offer a choice of 1-Trip or All-You-Can-Eat. If I am not in a hurry, and it is not the peaky busy time, I like to do All-You-Can-Eat. I get to try everything I want, and if I mess up a bowl, I do not have to finish it. I also like that I just do meat and veggie, and then they bring me rice and tortillas. At Genghis Grill, the paradigm is somewhat shifted. You choose from 3 sizes of bowls, ranging from modest to humongous. This is what you see. However, it is not quite what you get. These big bowls are where your food will eventually wind up, but not what you will be picking and stacking items for grilling and filling. Instead, that is a significantly smaller metal bowl. Not quite "bait and switch", but a tad annoying. The selections were good. Plenty of protein and a lot of seafood items. The veggies were nice and fresh, but whoever was cutting them was pretty haphazard, since I had chunks of bell pepper equivalent to 1/3 of the pepper. I liked the marinated steak, but the pork was disappointing. It looked good, but after it cooked up it had a lot of gristle in it, which did not quite ruin my dish, but irritated me with each bite that encountered these tough bits. Had this happened elsewhere (say at B.D.s), I would have abandoned this bowl and made a new one, but that is not an option here. When you hit the grilling area, you have a choice of noodles (Udon and rice), a couple types of rice, or cabbage (for you low carbers). Some people will like the options, other people will realize that this "bulks up" your dish so it looks like more food in an over-sized bowl. I wanted some tortillas on the side, and they seemed a tad reluctant (two requests), but they did bring them. The tortillas were not great (they seemed under-cooked). The presentation of the food in the bowl, however, was quite nice. There are a lot of nice looking desserts and interesting appetizers. This once again provides people with options, but also means your server can be somewhat pushy about up-selling these items. The tables were small, cramped, and jammed rather closely together and against the wall. My dining companions seemed to enjoy their food quite a bit more than I did. I would be willing to come back to try Genghis for lunch, and I hope my experience will be a bit better.

It was a bit too busy during lunch, especially with young annoying high schoolers just out on summer vacation (did we all sound like this many years ago? sigh...) But I liked that they provided "recipe" cards for any creations they have made and you can follow along. The small was a perfect portion for me as I also vegged out on the citrus garlic edamame. And the food was pretty good. I think they cook it a little bit too greasy, so maybe next time, I'll ask them to go light on the oil. :D

I hail from the land of Asian food. Of course in Denver I get Asian food urges and this is an option. I say an option, not a go-to place. I won't educate you on what Mongolian BBQ is -- having been to many, I am reviewing this one just like any other. The good: Cleanliness, decor, wide variety of protein, the ability to go carb-free given my paleo diet. Good cooks who don't burn the meat. Generally tasty. Eye candy. The bad: For other Mongolian BBQ places (probably not in Denver), the price you pay here for one bowl is the price for all-you-can-eat. Loose bowel movements followed my visits for unknown reasons. Recommendations: Tread lightly on the sauces. Don't be a redneck and dump soy sauce over everything. They have tasting spoons for you to sample the sauces before you commit. You get one bowl, so no fixing it if you screw up. Don't be shy about filling up the small metal container they give you -- they will cook everything that doesn't fall on the floor. Conclusion: In L.A. I would have probably rated this place no more than a 2 but it gets an extra star based on the part of the country it is in. Will drop by again if in the area.
(3)Ray K.
Excellent choice for Asian Bbq. Get your own proteins and veggies for them to cook. I prefer small with rice and egg. Great service
(4)Sabrina R.
Good food, but falls a little short under BD's. If we don't feel like making the hike downtown, we'll go here. The cooks are not very animated nor entertaining to watch them cook. They changed their policy and now seafood is only brought out for dinner. =( Boo!! Pack your bowl full of veggies first and the meat on top. Trust me, you'll get so much more that you'll have leftovers for lunch the next day. My Hubby and I always compete...who can stack the most food. Of course I usually win! =P Potstickers are yummy! Although it would be nice to get your appetizer before your meal comes. *Sigh I've never been here for dinner, but lunch it's packed...come before or after not to have fight for seating. Sign up for their rewards program and email. You'll get to take advantage of tons of specials!

Came here after a trip to Ikea and was super , super hungry. We got here on Sunday afternoon, apparently right before the dinner rush. I think that server was great.. he asked us if it was our first time and we said yes, so he walked us to the start and gave us instructions to help us on our way. I liked that we didn't have to stand there while they made our food. We took a number and placed it at our table and it was brought out to us. I always say that since I am picking the ingredients , that its success or failure is depend ant on my ability to select the right components. When I got to the grill with my food , the cook asked if I wanted to add more to my bowl because i could get so much more... sure, and she ran back and stuffed it high with what I wanted . I also liked that they let me taste the sauce. They have a huge "help wanted" sign in their front window, which explains why as it got busier, the server was unable to walk each person up and was trying to give instructions on the fly. He was good, just super, super busy by the time we left. They had a decent amount of people helping run food... so that was good. The food was good, the experience was cool... we will be back... its surely fills you up!!!

I'm a big Genghis fan. I've been loving it since I lived next to the one in Dallas and was sad when I found out that there wasn't one here, until now! We went a couple of weeks ago, they'd just opened and it was just like I remembered. I've always had a good experience, and tend to 'go with my gut' when it comes to making my bowl. Add too much stuff and you end up with something you're not going to like. My sister has always said she didn't like it until I showed her the way. You can also make your bowl according to the instructions on the wall (they have little papers with suggestions). Service was good, and friendly. The place was nice and clean. I'm sure I'll be back, when I'm in the area. The waitress said they're hoping to add more locations which I hope is true! Bring it up north so I don't have to drive so far for my Genghis fix!
(4)Maddie S.
It's OK. However, I think they've changed some of their ingredients and added MSG. I used to never get sick after eating here and the last few times both my husband and I have been in such woe. It's usually VERY crowded at lunch and they play old rock songs over the loud speakers, so the ambiance is just weird. The owner seems to always be there, which is nice to see. The service is fine and usually pretty snappy. However, because I've felt sick the last two times I've eaten there, I can't say I'm excited to try it a third time.
(2)Joe J.
The food was delicious. I always go with the medium size bowl and wonder if it will fill me up or not. It always does though. However, I got destroyed 45 minutes later. I'm not sure if it was some spice or some sort of cooking oil. I'm going to have to put this place on the same list as Chili's: Visit with caution.
(4)Mark M.
Love this place. We come here about once a week and always leave happy. If your food isn't good, you really only have yourself to blame. They have all of the ingredients to make a fantastic bowl. The only thing that is a bummer about this place is that it feels like you're kind of packed in. I wish it was roomier.
(4)Povilas G.
This place USED to be great. During my last visit I received horrible service and the food was not cooked the way it had always been. I have been going to this Mongolian BBQ restaurant and others for many years. But the past visit was by far the worst. First, I ordered a large bowl. As I was finishing up loading up my food, an employee approached me and told me that I have too much food in the bowl and they will charge me double. Initially I thought he was joking. Isn't loading up all the food you can eat in a single bowl part of the Mongolian BBQ experience? I've done the same thing countless times and I have never had a negative comment for how much food I'm getting. As I explained this to the "employee" he tells me that he runs this place a little different. I figured he was a manager. When I asked our waitress (who was great!) if this guy was new, she told me he is the OWNER! That day he was working next to the grill. Then my food comes out and half of the meat isn't even cooked right. If you guys want to limit the amount of food the person can order simply get rid of the bowls or state from the beginning how much food is limited. The owner being the one creating a problem over something that probably doesn't even cost him more than 25cents is a joke. Never going back there again...... Unles I see a new owners sign on top of the building :)
(1)Barbro N.
You fill your own bowl with what you like and all they add is the starch of your choice or just cabbage for a great meal. The sauces are all good depending on your taste. The best grill so far and I love the new E Tablet system for paying, picking drinks and just fun to surf the menu
(4)Christina E.
I'm a sucker for fast-casual restaurants, and this one is my new favorite. With tons of options, you can choose to never have the same bowl twice. They have helpful recipe guides for the newbies who are scared of the DIY concept, but I usually find that there is no wrong combination of items here. You want asian meatballs and calimari in your stir fry? Somehow, it works. Bottom line - food is always fresh, line moves fast, and the finished product is delish.
(4)Michael H.
There is something fun about putting your meal together yourself and watching it be cooked on a giant grill. But the thing that really made this place shine for us was the service. My wife put pork in her bowl, found it chewy and tough after it was cooked, and the manager Allison not only comped her meal, but truly wanted to cook her something else. There are a wide variety of sauces and many were interesting to us. The staff, including our waiter Jesse, were superb. One example: we had an iced tea and a lemonade, both refilled during our meal, and then we were given a third drink to carry out with us on this hot summer day. We signed up for the frequent diner card and left feeling like VIP's.
(4)Denver G.
i love BD's Mongolian and was glad to find a similar concept closer to home. [Note: there is a Mongolian BBQ on Arapahoe, but Genghis is in a different league] I usually get the medium bowl, fill it mid-way with the marinated chicken, add some dry spices (dragon-salt, ginger, garlic, turmeric) and then pile in the veggies (tip: push down on the food in your bowl to pack in more goodies). I have figured out my own favorite sauce combination after multiple visits here ( red curry peanut + szechuan + ginger). You can ask them to mix your starch selection (noodles/rice etc) with your other food on the grill. That tastes the best IMHO. They have a decent selection of drinks and beer on tap. There are multiple TV scattered all around the restaurant usually tuned to a few different sports networks. I have been there for weekday lunches as well as weekend lunch/dinner. the place is always crowded, but the service is quick and friendly. The owner can be seen chatting up patrons to get their feedback, which is a good thing in my book.
(5)Cass D.
It's been a couple of weeks since we visited and I still remember our waiter's name, the service we received here was that excellent. The variety is pretty decent and the prices are reasonable. I'm so glad we finally stopped in and I intend to visit again soon. I even signed up for their member card. They were very good about keeping the build bar sanitary and I love that you have options on your starch, or no starch as it were.
(5)Chris A.
It was great! The food was quite good. It was SUPER cheap. They strongly encourage you to try a bunch of the different sauces, which I did. I think I had the ginger citrus sauce ultimately. It was phenominal. The sizes are quite big. I eat a lot, and I had a small. It was still quite large. The large size was ENORMOUS. The sauces are all pretty good, the vegetables were quite fresh. The chicken was good. I really have nothing to complain about! Good job Genghis Grill, A!
(4)Fred F.
Well the food was Ok but service was so bad will not be back. We ordered an appetizer it arrived the same time as our main course drinks arrived after the last person got their bowl only because I asked where they were then they arrived one at a time. So poor timing, bowls came back one at a time, no soft drinks until I had to ask. The odd part about Genghis Grill is that the bowls are 3 different sizes and there are no seconds. Food was OK but no better or worse than other Mongolian BBQ places locally, prices are higher. portions OK I had the chicken with lettuce wraps and a large bowl with no problems. I consider myself a slightly larger than normal eater, I can eat a 16oz steak but not a 1lb hamburger.
(2)Jeffrey J.
Different Genghis's have different setups. All in all, this is a good location. From a business prespective, you would think the bowl assembly line would have vegetables first, so people would load up with veggies and have less room left when they get to the meat. This order of preparation is also how I get the most bang for my buck. But hey, if I have to start in the middle and work my way back to the front, thats not really a detractor. At least this location lets you build your bowl yourself. I can also appreciate the fact they employ younger kids as servers; everyone needs to gain experience somewhere. We will continue to frequent this spot for lunch.
(4)Caitlin B.
The food is alright but not the best mongolian bbq I've ever had. The atmosphere and layout stinks though. I can't help feeling like cattle being herded walking through the place. The staff was less than professional. The hostest girls let a door to door sales man come in and loudly sell to their staff during our meal. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. We won't be back anytime soon.
(2)Becca R.
Going as a first timer- your experience will be all about the staff. If they are anything like they were when I went it will be an awesome dinner. Basically you completely customize your order to you and create it yourself. Affordable and filling, this is is a highly recommended dinner selection.
(5)Leslie L.
Nice variation if you want quick service Asian food and Tokyo Joe's doesn't sound good. This place can be kinda pricey unless you get coupons.
(4)Joel F.
Do you get the feeling that a Mongolian would look at this food and have no idea where it came from? I DON"T CARE, IT"S FANTASTIC! It's about the fastest fresh "fast food" you'll get. It can be salty, but you control that to a point. This location is busy at lunch, but they are staffed and keep up...
(4)Jen S.
Went to this place for the first time after visiting 'Bead It' next door - WOO HOO I LOVE IT!!! I think they get a lot of 'newbies' because the girls are so friendly and ask "Have you been to a Mongolian BBQ before?". They were so nice & helpful and took the time to tell me what to do, how to get my food and to place an order (the layout is a little tricky). I had multiple employees ask me how I was doing, not just my waitress. Their food tastes "grilled" compared to, say, the Mongolian places you find at the mall. Oh and you don't just stand there waiting, you drop off your bowl and they bring it to you when it's cooked! You have to try their Citrus Garlic Edemame - it's roasted, not steamed like at Sushi restaurants. OH and if you like Watermelon, try their Watermelon Tea - good gawd it was to die for! :) Another thing I noticed, the Manager is REALLY BIG on cleanliness.......when people left, immediately either She or someone else was sweeping the floors under that table. I go to CPK a lot when I'm near the Mall, not anymore, I'm going to this place.
(5)M B.
Like some reviewers have said, it is not an all you can eat. Disappointed in the choice of sauces, very thick and not very flavorful. A little pricey for what you get. I'm a little grossed out that the vegetable tongs touch the raw meat when you put them in the bowl than go and sit with the vegetables ... I know it all gets cooked but that grosses me out. I don't like the menu idea ... One screen per table, you have to wait while the other person is looking. Watch you receipt, the price on the menu was different than what we were charged, when I brought it to their attention she said what do you want me to do about it? I said do the right thing and refund the difference, she looked at me funny and didn't do a thing. Maybe a little training in customer service would be nice. Don't think we will be back.
(2)Mare M.
A co-worker raved about this place, so on a weekday when I found myself in this general area at around lunch time, I decided to stop in and try it out. We were warmly greeted and since it was our first time, the waitress explained how it worked to us. I ordered the summer lemonade drink (yummy) and the BF had a Kirin on draft (he said yum, too). After getting our drinks, the waitress took us over to the buffet line and explained what we were supposed to do. She explained about really piling the veggies high in the bowl, since it will cook down, but I don't think the BF heard her as he ended up with way less food when it was all said and done than I did (and we had the same size bowls: the medium). It was quite delicious and as it has been said by other reviewers, it is not an all you can eat, but merely a one pass through. I was a bit disappointed by that at the time, but my waistline thanks me for it, even as I type this review. The price at lunch time was cheaper than the price at dinnertime and if we do return (it's a bit of a drive), it will be at lunchtime (although they don't offer the scallops until dinnertime).
(4)Andrew S.
If your looking for a place that's fun and has good food try this place. You pick the size bowl you want I pick the medium it runs $10.00 but you get to put what ever you want in it from shrimp- stake from peppers- pineapple you even pick your seasonings and sauce even if you want pasta or rice. It's fun and good. P.S. Put as much food as you can in your bowl!

We were very excited about Genghis Grill coming to Denver and almost the same time that they opened, my girlfriend was excited to go. We started going to their location in Grand Junction several years ago and it was excellent. We have been to other Mongolian BBQ places, but none of them really compared to Genghis Grill in Grand Junction. So... nonetheless we were very excited to have one in Denver. We have been to the Park Meadows location a couple of times and it has been excellent. Food and service were both great. Unfortunately our last visit was not the same. I don't think we will go back again. It really comes down to the service that we received. Once we were greeted at the door, the hostess sat us at a very small table for two. So small in fact that we were jammed up against a wall. It was extremely uncomfortable and my girlfriend could tell that I was definitely not happy being there. I rarely leave a restaurant once we are seated (I find it quite embarrassing to be honest). At any rate, my girlfriend was talking about possibly just leaving when the waitress came and asked us for our drink order. My girlfriend said, "I don't know if we will be staying, we are thinking that we might just go". The waitress asked if she should come back. No response from the waitress like, "Well is something wrong?", etc. Ultimately we decided to leave. On the way out, my girlfriend informed the waitress that we were going to leave. She explained that the table was uncomfortable and we did not feel like staying crammed next to the wall. The waitress never offered a different solution which seemed amazing as half of the restaurant was empty. I would have never taken the time to write this review, but felt compelled to do so as we made a special trip out to the suburbs just to visit this place the last time we went. I guess we just felt disrespected. I don't think we will go back again which is really too bad. We really like the food there.
(1)Nick M.
Warning - This is not an all-you-can-eat Mongolian BBQ. You choose a bowl size and are restricted to that bowl only. If you don't like it, you are screwed.
(2)linda b.
Yum! Double Yum! I love this place. They have tilapia fish in the line. I have not seen that at other Mongolian Grills. The staff are friendly but there are times it is crowded and noisy. Still, I love it.
(5)Alex L.
What a difference a day (and another state) make! I had a very unpleasant experience with Genghis Grill the first time and I wish I came to this one first. The location is tucked away in a shopping center across from Park Meadows. The staff in general are amazing and attentive. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants but I definitely want to give this one props. I put together a concoction of beef/sliced pork, bean sprouts, dragon sauce (think spicy stir fry sauce), and some other misc veggies. What an enjoyable atmosphere!
(4)E N.
I love eating at Genghis Grill! The food is delicious and I love having the capability to put exactly what I want into my bowl. Every time I have dined here I have received excellent service and the food is great.
(5)Lori P.
This is a great addition to dining options in the Lone Tree / Park Meadows area. I'm love this place even though I normally try to stay away from chain restaurants. They don't have the same large spread of ingredients that some Mongolian BBQ places have but they have all the ones that count when looking for a great bowl. I love that I create my own dish with the spices and ingredients to my own specifications. Worth a try if you're in the area !

We keep going to this place all the time, so much that we are getting free bowls on our rewards card. Make sure to get one. The food is always fresh, delicious, and a great atmosphere and friendly staff to boot. I have no idea what spices and sauces to use, but the end product never disappoints. That's half the fun of doing Mongolian. Put this on your list of places to eat. It is fun, inexpensive, tons of parking and a breath of fresh air from the run of the mill corporate food places that dot the south of Denver landscape. Genghis rocks!

This is the best Mongolian BBQ I have been to. Please consider though, that I've ONLY been to the following: Yuan Palace on Arapahoe, BD's Mongolian downtown. That said, Ghengis Grill blows those other locations out of the water for flavor. Get's REALLY busy around lunch time.

This is probably one of the better Mongolian BBQs I've been to. It's a bit more of an upscale Mongolian BBQ compared to the others I've been. I like the fact you can get yourself a drinkie drink with you Q, the dessert (double fudge brownie) was decorated as if I was in a fancy schmancy joint, the atmosphere also is a bit more upscale compared to the other Mongolian BBQs. The food, well...I can't really differentiate between the different Mongolian BBQs I've been to as I never get the same thing. It's solid Mongolian BBQ where you pick your proteins, veggies, sauces and spices give it to some grill person to saute along with your choice of noodles and voila...a few minutes later they bring out a bowl to your table. Prices are reasonable, and service was very good as well.

This place is so good!

My boyfriend and I definitely prefer huhot over this place but since huhot doesn't exist in Denver area (we usually go to the one near the academy but we were up north this time). First of all, they don't have all you can eat option so you pay 10 bucks for a bowl. They put your food in this giant bowl just to make it look like there's a lot of food when there isn't. Secondly, all of their tongs were GREASY!! GROSS! Why the hell are they greasy? We were so grossed out... Server was nice and friendly but servers don't do much in this type of restaurant anyways. If you must try this place, go ahead but I'm not returning here even if I'm in the area again.

Mongolian style bowls. Fill up your bowl with veggies, spices, meats, and they toss and turn and bbq until it's a masterpiece VIOLA! OHH and the Mango Iced Tea is jum jummms too.

So glad this place opened up as I have been to other ones. Delicious and even on a super busy day we were in an out in under 30 mins without being rushed. Make your own bowl and they are very helpful in figuring out everything. As with any Mongolian BBQ just don't add too many different ingredients and it will be delicious. Great website that helps look at nutrition values too. Finally something healthy and fresh in the area.

Genghis grill is a welcome addition to the otherwise mundane restaurant list south of the Denver metro (except a few fine dining chains). We visited them on a snowy day so the place was empty. And we got all the attention and service we expected at the place! Their food line was very well organized, lot of items to choose from and the waitstaff were very helpful in explaining to us how the process works since we were first timers there. The waitstaff overall were efficient and very professional. They also have a full bar and we were their during happy hour and so went for $3 Sake for two. It was a well suited drink for the dishes we designed there and the cold weather outside! The features I liked best about this restaurant is their loyalty card that earns you free meals fairly easily, their detailed nutrition calculator online and you can even design your meal online and take it to the restaurant and make it yourself! Very interactive!! We loved the ambiance of the place and the cleanliness of the vicinity. And very conveniently located near Park Meadows Mall and IKEA.

Meh. Hit it at lunchtime. Service was good, although for a Mongolian grill the cook time was slow. As a first time visitor I had a choice of cards with possible prep options - which sort of defeats the purpose of a mongolian grill, no? Chicken, spices, veggies, sauce, and grill. The result was forgettable. The chicken was a little tough, and the rice was off - maybe undercooked a little. If there is a next time I guess I better lard on the spices to give it some bite.

Timely service, fresh foods, plenty of options and delicious sauces - what else could you ask for in Mongolian BBQ? Very, very busy sometimes, and the seating setup doesn't give much privacy to anyone - I had to listen to a bigoted idiot talk shit about Indian folks for an hour last time I was there. Clearly this isn't Genghis Grill's fault, but the table setup leads to a more cafeteria style atmosphere, which can make conversation difficult at times. Also, they bang the gong constantly, and we haven't figured out the reasoning - as if it isn't hard enough to talk here sometimes! Please stop with the gong! (Every time we visit I fire off an e-mail to parkmeadows@genghisgrill… about the gong!)

Oh, yum! I really didn't think I would like this place, but it was amazing! I loaded up on veggies, spices, and different sauces, and thought that all the contradictory flavors would actually make the meal taste icky. Instead, everything blended deliciously!!!!! I would recommend that if you think you have added too many veggies or put on too many spices, chances are you haven't. Next time, I will pile on a lot more. The ONLY bad thing I have to say about Genghis Grill is the service was a little less than par.

This place is not your typical Mongolian grill. Eater beware
(1)Courtney B.
Wow! I have never done anything like this before. U get sat by a hostess, handed a menu and then u walk up and prepare half ur meal! Kind of a cool DIY noodle bar. The food was fresh and outstanding. The price was a tad high, but I understand since some people can be heavy handed with the pricey stuff like steak and seafood.

Our family loves the Genghis Grill. We first tried it in New Mexico, and are thrilled to find one here in Colorado. I highly recommend it. The restaurant its the typical Mongolian Grill style; go through the line and select your meats, vegetables, seasonings, sauce, and the cooks grill it for you before your eyes. There is a nice selection of seafood, and there is even tofu. Other meats are offered add well.

This place is the worst Mongolian food I have ever had. Not only were the people rude but the calamari and scallops look spoiled and smell awful. Once our bowls were done (they're not bottomless bowls like everywhere else in Colorado) they were bland and extremely dry. I had to get two more ramikens of sauce and pour half the bottle of sriacha on my bowl to add some moisture and flavor. We had to ask for drink refills two times from two different people and still didn't get them. (It was a slow Tuesday night and we only had waters). Overall, this place sucks. Its bland, boring and too expensive for the quality of food. P.s. the 5 star review is the manager, whom we asked for a refill.

Kinda dig this place, and didn't really think I would. Choose your own meat, veggies, seasonings, toppings, etc. Piling everything into the bowl really is a work of art, and like any art project, takes patience, practice, and lots and lots of skill. Don't worry about feeling judged when you shamelessly hand your overflowing bowl to the chef at the end... own your greediness and be proud!
(4)Vineet S.
The food is great. This was the best food I had in months. You could choose your meat , seasoning, veggies and sauce and comes with rice or noodles. I loved it and will highly recommend it.
(5)Mike G.
Great place to eat with lots of stir-fry options. Customize your own dish and let the cooks make it for you. Great service and quick in and out.
(4)Trey F.
The boss took us here for lunch today! I always get a little sketched out when dealing with raw meat and things like that. Surprisingly this place was awesome, I enjoyed every bite down to the last grain of my fried rice. Its a really cool place and the way they have it set up is efficient and delicious! The medium bowl is more then enough food and I can eat a lot. You can load up with meat and add all the veggies and seasoning specific to your liking. I will definitely be going back and recommending this place to others! ENJOY

My wife and I stopped by last night for dinner (this was our second visit) and once again we were impressed. Genghis Grill is easy on the wallet, the proteins/veggies/starches are fresh, and the staff have always been attentive and professional. A well run 'fast casual' Mongolian stir fry restaurant that is definitely worth a visit. Yum!

This is a neat Mongolian Grill across from Park Meadow's mall. I haven't been to a Mongolian BBQ in ages and had no idea that this location existed until my boyfriend found it on Yelp. You are seated by a hostess and have a server for your meal, but the set up is very casual, similar to Chipotle. You pick the size of bowl that you want and your server brings you a small stainless bowl to fill with ingredients. They have a wide selection of proteins, more than I've seen elsewhere, and lots of veggies, sauces, and 6 options for starch. You are given a number and return to your table while you wait for your food to be brought out to you. The food was great! I will probably go back in the future.
(4)Kelly M.
I have always been a big fan of places that let me pick my own toppings an flavors. I like things a little spicier than most people so you just can't go wrong here! Genghis Grill is a Mongollian Grill meets quick service concept. You can get a decent meal made the exact way you want pretty damn fast. Be sure you stack your bowl until it is practicly overflowing because the veggies cook down.
(4)Nate K.
The food and service is great! There are a lot if choices when making your bowl- meat, spices, veggies, sauces, and starch. They have a good rewards program for free food. The prices are what you would expect. I am a big fan!

We went for the first time today and everything about it was spectacular. The staff alone makes the trip worth while. My girlfriend had never been to a Mongolian BBQ place and the owner (Monic) greeted us at the door and reassured us that it would be a great experience. Our server was "Paige" and she was fantastic too. Upbeat and sweet and truly cared about us having a great meal. The happy hour was incredible with $2 drafts and $2 wells. The food line was fresh and well attended to and the final product was delicious, the owner was even behind the grill working side by side with his team. We will undoubtedly be back again and again.

Eh....this is fine. The food was good. A bit too themed for me, and a bit overpriced in my opinion, but the place was packed so I'm obviously not one of the masses. They seem to offer a variety of healthy options, and it is a nice change from your typical sandwich shop. I

I love this place. I've only always have stacked my medium bowl, but it's always cooked good. The bowl selection is plentiful. You're allowed TWO sauces, an egg and TWO starches with your meal, if that's something you want. The meat selection is huge with 10+ options from seafood to sausage and all the usual suspects (beef, pork, chicken) in-between. There are plenty of vegetarian options to stack as well. The staff is usually pleasant. They give you a to-go drink container if you want more soda on the way out the door. They also have a menu of items but i've only sampled one of their deserts (yummy) once. Kids eat free on tuesdays.

Great food, but a lil pricey. The above comment was written on our first time. After going several times now we are hooked. This place is great. The owner runs this place great. He also walks around and makes sure everyone is taken care of. The quality of the food is great. One of the best places to eat.

This place was INCREDIBLE! I have had the pleasure of eating cuisine all over North and South America, and this place is ranked among my top 15 food places ever. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly host, who upon learning that it was my first time there, walked me through the entire process of how ordering your food there works. He took my drink order, and then off I went to discover a plethora of food options! They had spices, meats, fruits, vegetables, noodles, everything! And no matter how strange the mixture of ingredients were, it tasted AMAZING. If I were to die, I hope heaven, or hell, has this place because I want it for all eternity!!!
(5)Mark E.
OK...here is the kicker: This place is not your typical all you can eat Mongolian BBQ joint. You choose the bowl size ahead of time and its a one time trip to the food aisle. The food is very fresh and the food area was very clean. Service was good and the restaurant was clean.
(4)Rick R.
Food was quite good, but prices are outrageous. $16 for a bowl of stirfry is too much, even for park meadows.
(3)Robert R.
Great place to eat! You get to compile your own meats and veggies with the seasonings and spices you want. The tough part is not overflowing your bowl before you reach the end of the food selections. They cook it up for you and deliver it to your table. You can eat here many times and have something different every time. Decent beer selection and all reasonably priced.

This is an interesting place. We went on fathers day because my sushi chef was out sick. If you have ever been to a Mongolian grill, and not one of these, prepare yourself for something different. You pick a bowl size by the ounce. They show you a green(small) red(medium) and black(large) bowl and tell you to choose. Once you choose they give you these tiny silver bowls and tell you to go. So after you upgrade your bowl from the red to the black, you wander to the protein section where you choose from a variety of meats and seafood. They have turkey here which was a nice surprise to me. You then season your meat with a variety of powdered seasonings. If you are not a cook and do not know seasoning combinations very well, you will mess up your dinner at this stage. You then move on to vegetation of which there are many different varieties. No spinach which made me sad. You then get to sauces. Not a very large variety of sauces though they do have some pre-mixed BBQ's that are pretty good. The final step is to hand this noodle-less bowl to a guy who did not speak much english and tell him if you want noodles (2 varieties) rice, or some other random starch I did not pay attention to. He then gives you a number and you go sit rather than stand there waiting like at every other Mongolian grill i have gone to. 3 minutes later they deliver it in one of the colored boowls and as long as you did not jack up your seasoning (like my wife did) then you will enjoy it.

Good, had better. The vibe is cramped, too tight. No ambiance.
(3)Sarah K.
Great fast-casual place for lunch during the work week! Get the rewards card and earn free bowls pretty quickly! Get there early for lunch to avoid lines.
(4)Marie M.
I have eaten here twice in the past week. A place like this was desperately needed in the area. The staff is great, and you feel welcomed when you walk in. You can choose from three different sized bowls, which you fill with protein, veggies, and starches. They have a huge variety of seafood, meats, veggies, and sauces. If you choose to not have a starch (noodles or rice) they will allow you to take an extra bowl of veggies. The nutritional information is on their website, and there are many healthy options available. LOVE!
(5)Jon S.
Genghis Grill has great food that is well prepared. It seems really healthy but has all the flavors and spices to make the food taste good. Some other Genghis Grills have all-you-can-eat, but this one does not, and that is just fine with me. I barely finished all that I had with one serving (medium bowl).
(5)Nicole M.
I've tried Genghis Grill years ago when they had a location on 16th Street Mall. I only had it once as my go-to Mongolian BBQ place ended up being faster and more bang for your buck. I was eager to try it again as in Centennial it's the only Mongolian BBQ I know of. First off I was surprised that it's a wait to be seated kind of place. They have a cute little bar but it's hidden to the back left of the location. With that said though the drinks are great - took me longer to figure out what I was going to order drink-wise than food-wise! I opted for the superfruit sake mojito (YUMMY) which was great! My sister got the raspberry something or another and that was equally as good (but not equally as memorable I guess). As a side note - some of their adult beverages come in a souvenir glass, you can skip getting this and save $3.50 but I heard if you bring it back you get a discount on your drink purchase (not sure how much though but if you frequent it could be worth your while - if you don't mind lugging the glass with you each time). The staff was friendly and helpful, though there were a lot of them standing around chatting and laughing (probably at me dropping toppings off the top of my bowl as I tried to pile them on)! The toppings...my, my, my do they have TONS of choices -from proteins to veggies to sauces (which they give you dipping spoons to try - PLEASE remember one spoon per sauce not per person lol). They also have a selection of rice or noodles depending on what your feeling that day! Another thing I must mention is that they show you the sizes available small (red), medium (white) , large (black) kind of thing however, there are smaller metal bowls you use to pile your food into so beware - the small (red-10oz) is quite small, more for a kid than an adult if you ask me but if you get apps it may be just the right size! The food came out fast and hot and was really, really good I mean I did make it myself...well sorta. I can't wait to go back and try something new - drinks and food. Must also mention they have a frequent customer card, I think I'm SOLD!
