Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

We normally order from Wild Basil, which serves Thai and Chinese. However, my husband has been complaining about wanting "authentic" dishes like "Beef with Broccoli" . . . so we tried China Taipei tonight. For the price, I prayed the food was actually going to hold up. We ordered two eggrolls, the Crab Wontons, Chicken with Broccoli ("Because you can't mess up chicken") and the Crispy Honey Chicken. Hubby was very disappointed that the chicken was not prepared with a brown sauce. His meal was "okay" but not impressive. The crab wontons were excellent, and my honey chicken was pretty good, but I wouldn't say that the meal was worth the $40 we paid - the cost of about 2 meals from our usual place. We may order again, but not frequently.

We stopped going a year ago as the quality was pretty bad for how much we had to pay. The food is greasy and unpleasant. The service is poor and I would rather not take my kids in again. We found better Chinese closer to our house and the Mama Roma's next door is far better.

I did not know they had 2 menus, but being Chinese and speaking Chinese, I definitely got the Chinese menu. =) This is by far the most authentic food I've had in Colorado! My friend and I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and it had actual "niu jing" (I don't know how to say it in English - beef tendon?). We also ordered the tofu with Chinese mushrooms and squid - yum! Oh, and we had their hot soy milk! I'm not sure if they actually made it, but it was good none-the-less. Oh, and the staff was super nice to us! I will definitely be back here!

Love this place. I like to order things off of both the American and Chinese menus, but my favorites are the salt and pepper squid, west lake beef soup, and the fresh Chinese vegetables (greens). The service is great- very helpful with dishes and suggestions. I'm not from the Denver area, but whenever I'm in town for work, I look forward to getting dinner at China Taipei.

I'm not sure what the expectations were of the people who wrote the poor reviews but we love this place. I've tasted items from their American Chinese and their traditional Chinese menu and all has been wonderful. The General Tsao is excellent, the jellyfish is amazing, and the various traditional duck dishes have been divine. The folks who work there have often helped us choose and it's usually not on the menu... I've never been disappointed.

I will not be ordering from the again. The online ordering process was easy through Eat24, however, the delivery estimate was completely inaccurate. The restaurant said 45-60 minutes and the food arrived, lukewarm, an hour and a half later. I don't mind guiding the delivery driver to my apartment complex, but his snapping at me, "I don't think you know where you are" because he had the wrong building number is probably not the best customer service. After guiding him to the correct building, his grumbling about the stairs the whole way, there was no apology or explanation. Food was mediocre and over-priced. Don't bother with the egg drop soup and don't bother with this dime-a-dozen Chinese restaurant.

It really is a 3.5 start rating I think so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. It's true, you hardly seen anyone dine in here. But we've had take out from here twice and really enjoyed it! (our previous benchmark for take-out was Peter's Chinese in Congress/Cheesman Park, so the bar was lowwww). Our meals were good and ran the gamut from lo-mein through mu-shu. Enjoyed them all. I will say the black pepper chicken wings really surprised. Despite sitting in a box on a bed of peppers and onion, they were remarkably crisp and has a fantastic flavor for such a simple recipe. We will go back. (BTW, the 'Chinese' menu is also in English)

The first time we were here, we had eggrolls, noodles, shrimp and beef dishes. Hated it. Greasy and mediocre taste. Recently, friends invited us to go there for traditional chinese food, and we hesitantly agreed. Turns out, they have a Chinese menu, that is separate and different from the menu we used during our last visit. Wow the beef (chinese style steak), rice cakes with pork, beef appetizers, and a shrimp dish had well prepared, had excellent flavor and taste. Completely different experiences. Will definitely return to try other dishes from the traditional chinese menu.
(4)Ellen L.
I would give it more stars, but the deliciousness is not consistent. Also, if you speak Chinese, there is a separate menu, so ask them for it. Since I've been missing authentic noodle soup from Taiwan, I started hunting down all available beef noodle soup in Denver. China Taipei's beef noodle soup was surprisingly authentic! The broth is not as in depth as Tao Tao Noodle Bar's, and the noodles are not handmade, but the overall flavor is so delicious! They also give a generous portion of chili pickled vegetables to go with the noodles. Their downfall is in the minced pork/squid noodle soup. This is another common dish in Taiwan, but the thick broth is just blend and the key component (the minced squid) was just strips of flavorless squid instead of dumplings made from fish paste and chopped squid. The price is also terribly expensive for Chinese food, but I would try other Chinese menu items for authentic flavors.

Brutal. Ordered to go food and was told 15-20 minutes. Them we sat and sat and sat. Nobody was around and I asked a server for my money back. She went to the kitchen and then our 3 meals came out after 55 minutes. We took it straight home and the food was cold. Total rip off and we well never go back. Stay away!
(1)Robert C.
Beef noodle soup is awesome and always get friendly service. Also enjoy the appetizers and the negative comments are from competitors because I have never found the food to be secondary of taste and quality. Keep up the great work. We only wish you had dim sum on the weekends so we could drive close by and enjoy some good eats.
(5)Ruth F.
I went with a group and got a special treat from the boss. They serve authentic Chinese food. My Chinese friends from SF, Iowa, Chicago, and Toronto who went with me there would agree with me. I will go back again.
(5)Haidy C.
This place has amazing food and the service is awesome as well. Try the steam pork dumplings - you will not be disappointed!! The only negative is that it is a bit pricier than other Chinese restaurants, but it is well worth the extra $$
(5)Al G.
The food is good and the service is excellent. Every time I eat here everyone is friendly and attentive. The food is always hot and tasty.
(3)Lester A.
To first-timers, be advised that there are two menus - the American menu and the Chinese menu. The food from the Chinese menu is excellent, both in flavor and authenticity. Based on other reviews I've seen, you might not be able to say the same for the "American" menu. If you're not Chinese or Asian looking and would like to try the Chinese menu, you might need to relate (or fabricate) a story about having acquired a taste for authentic Chinese cuisine. "Authentic" means different things to different people, so simply telling them to serve you authentic Chinese food will not likely do the trick.
(5)Melissa F.
I was craving some yummy and delicious healthy Chinese for lunch last week. We decided to try something new so we went to China Taipei. The restaurant was relatively empty but the staff was extremely friendly (though, not very attentive). The food was super salty and that was about the most flavor my selection had. My husbands food was extremely bland (like a diet plate). Though we ate the food and feel like it was "OK" we won't be back for round two.
(3)Mary H.
Delicious food. I ordered off the Chinese menu- chinataipeirestaurant.co… . The food was fresh, hot, tasty, and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They do have special items not on the menu and take request such as to spice levels. Some time consuming and not usually found dishes are available. I cannot believe I found this place here, much less that it delivers. For the quality, the price is very reasonable. If you are in the mood for something a bit different, give it a try.
(5)Crystal C.
I've been coming here since high school and I've never been disappointed. I took my coworker yesterday for lunch. He was blown away! I ordered my usual: sesame chicken. He ordered the Pad Thai and said it's probably the best Pad Thai he's ever had. We also ordered the AMAZING crab cheese wontons. Needless to say, we ate everything. The service is great (Your water glass will NEVER be empty) and the chicken is fast. Our food was to our table before we could finish our soups. This place is my favorite Chinese restaurant by far!
(5)Erina R.
I tried China Taipei because it has decent ratings here, is close to home, and offers Vietnamese noodle bowls - my favorite! We had 2 pork bowls delivered through EatStreet, who showed up a little faster than the 60 minutes promised. I expected the meal to be wonderful for $32. My excitement was short-lived. I'm used to char-grilled meats, which was not what I got - heavily marinated (and ridiculously sweet!) pork on my delicious rice noodles with floppy strings of carrots, bok-choy & cucumber with nothing else. No sprouts, no mint, no greens of any sort. I was very displeased with the cold bits of egg roll - I've only had those served to me hot - the cold meat paste was congealed & very unappetizing. Those are usually my favorite part of the whole bowl! So...it was edible, but I was nonetheless disappointed & will continue my search for a decent Vietnamese noodle bowl near me. I plan to return & try their sesame chicken, since I understand this is a Chinese restaurant, NOT a Vietnamese one. :)
(3)Peter H.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in the highlands ranch area. We have been visiting this place for more than 10 years and their flavors are always authentic and consistent. Ask for the Chinese menu and you'll have access to some unique dishes and vegetables that aren't usually on the menu. They always give us a free app to start since we've been going so long!
(4)Jessica T.
This is definitely some of the better Chinese food I've had in awhile. We chose to do takeout, and ordered it through Yelp takeout, and it was so fast! My measure of all Chinese food is crab cheese wontons, and theirs were delicious! You could taste the crab, delicious garlic flavor in the cream cheese, the wonton wrappers were on the thinner side so you could taste the filling. I know nothing about "authentic" Chinese, but compared to other Chinese we also enjoyed the following: - Beef Lo Mein: not overly greasy but kind of seemed like normal spaghetti noodles - Ma Po Tofu: tried this based on other reviews and really enjoyed it but was suprised by the bits of chicken in it and they use soft tofu which is good to know - sesame chicken: crispy and pretty darn good - shrimp dumplings: this were good, lots of shrimp but the skins were on the thicker side - egg rolls: thin wrapper so you could taste the goodness inside - wonton soup: pretty standard but tasty Overall, this is a great option for this part of town. I will absolutely order from them again.
(3)Shannon G.
Excellent Chinese food - ask for the Chinese menu for more authentic dishes. Very friendly staff and clean dining room.
(5)Max G.
This is one of my go to Chinese places in this area. They are always professional and have wonderful personalities. The deliver is quick and if it weren't for the cooking time would be faster then jimmy johns! They have two menus. Yes two. One menu covers your everyday American Chinese food such as Mongolian beef and orange chicken. If you're feeling more adventurous (like me) you must splurge for the the Korean short ribs on the more authentic Chinese menu. The hot sour soup is also a must. I think it's very good. I've been a long time customer and will continue to give my business for years to come.

Just like any review on this or any other review sites, you need to take the recommendation with a healthy grain of salt. Watch out for the: this is the best "Chinese" food I have ever eaten...stop, take a look at the person and ask this question, has he or she been out of the state, out of country, been to cities with decent Chinese food (or any ethnic foods). If the answer is no, then take 2-3 stars off the rating and you got the true recommendation. Then again, I do get it wrong sometime. Someone recommended China Taipei and I put it thru my "recommendation" calculator and I am thinking 2-3 stars at best, glutton for punishment I went anyway. Surprisingly, the food we ordered was good (not out of this world good, but good) and they do have authentic Taiwan dishes and are well prepared, such as the beef noodle soup that we ordered. Just like most Chinese restaurants, quite a few dishes are not Taiwanese, but it's of different country altogether, those we didn't touch. The service was quick and on point, the waitress we had was super friendly with a ready smile. Put this thru your "recommendation" calculator.

Love This place and great delivery, too. Fantastic Vietnamese Noodle bowl (go shrimp) and it comes with these crunchy sausage mini egg rolls. Great Pho, dumplings, hot n sour soup. Great customer service and fast, hot delivery.
(5)Suely C.
When my best friend took me there for my birthday, I was very happy to find that they have my favorite fish on the Chinese menu. We ordered the scallion pancakes, pig stomach with pickled vegetable soup, seafood double pan fried noodles and a steamed pomfret. The Taiwanese food was awesome and the owners were very friendly. I don't think I've ever ordered pig stomach soup anywhere else and much to our surprise, my friend's two American born girls loved the soup too! Definitely a place I'll return to.
(5)Ray G.
On a trip and the hotel recommend this place. I ordered the General Tao's chicken, Vietnamese Crystal rolls, hot and sour soup and crab cheese wonton. All good. The crystal rolls were twice as big as I expected, way too much soup and the General's chicken fresh and not too sweet. Great meal. Leftovers for lunch. I recommend.
(4)Ray K.
We ordered minced pork noodle soup, rice noodle and chicken roll appetizer. Nice spacious dining area with awesome service from the staff. The food is really good not like the usual chinese menu. If you want something different this is the place. They are very good in explaining each dish.
(4)Alice C.
My husband and I just moved to the South Denver area from California and it was of utmost importance that we find an authentic Taiwanese restaurant. We came across China Taipei on Yelp and went there for lunch, we were not disappointed one bit! If anything China Taipei went over and above our expectations. The dishes arrived very quickly and the food was just absolutely delicious. You can just tell that they use high quality ingredients. They also have a page on their menu for nostalgic authentic Taiwanese food. We definitely are bringing friends and family back there again.
(5)Tyler H.
One of my favorite Chinese places. American menu has all the normal stuff (sweet and sour chicken, happy family, etc) if you want something more authentic, ask for the Chinese menu (beer and bitter melon, sweet sausage). Authentic menu has much less or no sauce. Quiet, great service. If you like John Holly, you'll like China Taipei.
(4)Danny B.
Traditional Chinese. Not bad. We ordered one dish per person and spent $15 per person.
(4)Apryl S.
Great food (almost always), reasonable prices, huge portions. Unfortunately they are lacking severely in phone etiquette, I usually just blame it away on cultural differences.
(4)Savanna G.
I recently discovered China Taipei after Jade Garden starting going downhill. I love wonton soup and China Taipei's is delicious. I have also tried the Mai Fun dish and Honey Chicken and they were yummy. The only reason I'm not giving it more stars is the price point is high in my opinion. For 2 adults and a child with no alcohol, it was $45 +

Boom! I have finally found a restaurant in "Denver" serving some authentic Zhong Guo Cai. To be precise, nian gao/sticky rice cake. Yes, there was formerly a place on Mississippi and Federal, which, moved down to the DTC and went to hell; but, now there is China Taipei! The owners are from Taiwan and offer two (2) different menus. One is your traditional Americanized Chinese food menu and the other is something entirely different. It's the REAL Chinese food. I heard from a friend that this place had some real Chinese food, and having some time I went to do some investigating. I asked (in Chinese) the friendly many behind the counter whether or not they served authentic Chinese and suddenly he produced a menu, while at the same time asking if I could read Chinese. I told him I could still read a little and he left me to stare in wonder. (Even if you can't read Chinese the menu has accompanying English descriptions for all the items.) There before me were pages of corn-starch free dishes direct from the hinterlands of Henan, Hubei, Shaanxi and the isle of Taiwan. Why was it only lunch? Why did I not have enough time for more?! I steadied myself and resumed my traditional skepticism. I spotted the often desired and rarely found nian gao and ordered it with pork, extra cabbage and sans green onion. Within minutes my order came wrapped up and ready to go. When I eventually sat down at my secret location to eat it I was pleasantly surprised to find the food hot. It was not overly greasy or overly flavored. The preparation was simple and clean and each ingredient's individual flavor came through. It was very satisfying, not only as a meal, but also in providing me with a new place to go for the nian gao!

There is a reason that I stopped eating here. And now I remember what it is. The food is terrible - at least the food from the regular menu. Ate here today due to limited time and wanting some Won Ton Soup for a summer cold. I assume, because there is always a number of Asian people eating in here when I've been in, that the other menu only given to Chinese patrons is good. But this was the worst Won Ton Soup ever! Quarter inch thick won tons, tasteless broth with a few sliced scallions floating in it - no char sui, no bokchoy, nothing. Twice Cooked Pork was not twice cooked - just stir fried with enough mushrooms to get you tripping and zucchini????? Green pepper OK, cabbage yes, but zucchini??????? Sauce was the same brown mother sauce used for everything else with a few dried pepper flakes thrown in. It used to be that this was the only near decent place around here for Asian food. Their Hot and Sour Soup was good at one point - but I cannot comment now other than to say that the consistency of it last time I ate here was a major factor in me not returning until today. I also noticed that as soon as Vietnamese food became more popular they put Pho on the menu. Please do not insult non-Asians who don't eat off the other menu with this awful food. If you are going to Americanize the food then at least do a good job of it!
(1)Trent G.
Yes they have two menus but since I don't read or write Chinese, I'm screwed unless I bring my Taiwanese friend. The Chinese menu is great and the American menu is slightly less quality. I have enjoyed almost every dish I've ordered here. The proprietors are Taiwanese and they are reality friendly and aim to please. The prices are reasonable and I enjoy eating here.
(4)Sam V.
Ugh. Greasy and overpriced food. I had takeout here during one of my recent travels and I should have paid attention to the fact that nobody was in the place when I rolled in. My order didn't take too long and the staff was extremely nice. But seriously, the food here was not great at all (not bad, just bland) and it was greasy enough to turn my stomach shortly after consumption. There's got to be better choices nearby.
(2)Sam S.
We did a family take-out (delivery, actually) night from the American menu. Our order consisted of cream cheese wontons, General Tso's chicken and beef and broccoli. Delivery was fast and the food was better than typical take-out places. Unfortunately, what we ordered did not "wow" us... likely because we ordered incredibly Americanized dishes. We'll try it again, but order from the Chinese menu.
(3)Janet R.
I was looking for something new for lunch today and I went to pick up chicken with vegetables. It is SO hard to find a place with good Chinese food. I was really impressed. I will go again and take some friends. YUM!
(5)David C.
My family has been going there for years. Love the crab cheese wontons and pretty much everything else.
(4)Kenny Z.
Food on the Chinese menu is legit. Never tried the American menu.
(5)Annie C.
This is for the CHINESE menu only :) Friendly Staff, probably doesn't hurt that I am Chinese. The food was delicious, i think very traditional for Denver standard but if this was in CA, i would have given only 3 stars. One big downside to this place is price. $12 bucks for a bowl of noddle is steep! But the serving size is huge. 2 people could have ate one bowl and be plenty full. I rather have smaller portion with smaller price. My husband loved his nian gao, i loved my noddle, my son loved the 2 brown eggs he got for free that wasn't even on the menu. We will be back again, my son is jonesing for those brown eggs that he can't get anywhere else.
(4)Peter H.
CT must have undergone new ownership since my last review in 2012, because it's pretty good now. I've made several orders through EatStreet in the last few weeks and their weekday lunch delivery is prompt and timely. My faves are the shrimp fried rice and U-10. Jumbon Noodle Soup. Kudos to the current management and chef for turning the restaurant around.

Taiwanese Cuisine (Ask for Chinese Menu) Location: China Taipei entrance is hidden under a tree next to Mama Roma italian restaurant and parking lot is behind Safeway. ROC (Republic of China) relocated its capital to Taipei in 1949 after losing its civil war to the Communist Party of PRC (People's Republic of China). The result of the relocation mixed Taiwan native food culture with southern China province Fujian cuisine carried over by ROC Soldiers. We ordered the "Double Cook Pork Belly" which is heart pounding fatty deliciousness. I also recommend "Stir Fried Beef Chow Fun" which is a popular rice noodle dish and the beef was a wave of mouth watering. "Pork Belly with pickeld greens" looks amazing for us to try next time. Ton of booths and tables for groups, attentive friendly waiters, and similar prices to China Jade (Szechuan Spicy) in Aurora.
(4)Joy M.
We loved the Sesame Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork! The waitress was the best! A 5 start lunch experience.
(5)Nick D.
This was some of the worst Chinese food I've had. The chicken was very over cooked and bland, the egg rolls were very greasy, they only good thing was the quick delivery. I will necrosis be going back and would like money back, although that's doubtful.
(1)Kristen W.
I have to applaud this restaurant for the absolute best Ma Por Tofu! It is increasingly rare to find on Chinese menus around town but this place serves some of the best I have ever enjoyed! I'm hooked!! The remaining items we ordered were tasty except the lo Mein...which was little mushy and overcooked but it was delivery and sometimes those containers keep "cooking" the items during the ride. Regardless this is now my go to place for my favorite dish!
(4)Gopi V.
I've placed an online order fir chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein. Delivery was fast, cost is decent and food quality is pretty good. I would definitely order from here again when ever I feel lazy to go to a restaurant or to cook something at home. Good job, guys. Your food and service is great..
(4)Ryan N.
I have been going here for 18 years....have dined in, taken out, and had it delivered...I believe I have only had 1 bad experience EVER. Their crab cheese wontons are probably some of the best in the Denver metro area! The food is delicious and their delivery is just about as fast as Jimmy Johns if not faster. There is a reason they have been around for 20+ years...TRY THIS PLACE!
(4)Aaron W.
Ok, this is not the most authentic asian food in the greater denver area, but its definitely top 3 and its the only one not on federal. They have a great asian menu, though you may have to ask for it. The Ma Po Tofu is some of the best I've had, and the Hot Sour Dumpling soup is a must try that keeps me coming back for more and more. If you're not heading towards federal and alameda, then this is the place for quality chinese food.
(4)Liz H.
You are all clearly high if you think this is the best Chinese in Highlands Ranch. I would say it's some of the worst. The wontons were terrible, the cashew shrimp LITERALLY had 6 shrimp in it (great deal for $14... Said no one ever), and the orange chicken tasted like crap. The only plus side is the fast delivery. I will NEVER order from here again. Don't waste your money. Honestly, Panda Express is half the price and leaps and bounds better tasting, and that's saying a lot.
(1)Susan R.
Our family has been eating here for a few years. We have never been disappointed! I have lived in many places, including New York and California so have had quite a bit of experience with Chinese/Vietnamese/Asian cuisine. China Taipei is by far the best that South Denver has to offer! The prices are great and everyone is super friendly and accommodating! Please give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Susan R.
(5)Todd E.
Great food, great service at a very reasonable price! It's the best Chinese I have found on the south side of Denver.
(5)Doug H.
How did I not know about this place?! I have been on a long unrequited search for an authentic Chinese restaurant in Denver, and while some places came close--China Jade and He Xing--and other places became closed--Tao Tao and Chopsticks--I never found Chinese cuisine fit to take my picky parents to. Well, here's a contender from the Southern suburbs: China Taipei Restaurant. Despite its longevity (over twenty years in business according to their website), China Taipei is in such an out of the way location (near Park Meadows Mall in a shopping center tucked behind a Safeway grocery store) that I never passed it or saw it even though I worked at an office buidling within a mile of it, and I constantly scoured the strip malls around there looking for anything decent to eat at lunch time. Too bad I no longer work or live anywhere near there because it would be my go-to spot for Chinese food in Denver. China Taipei as its name suggests offers mostly a Taiwanese cuisine (that is, if you take my advice and, ask for the Chinese menu to get their authentic offerings). It's hard to go wrong by just exploring their vast array of dishes. Their pork dishes are especially great. The pork belly with pickled mustard greens is the best you can find in town, and I've tried it in most Chinese joints where I've seen it on the menu. It's a painstaking dish involving frying, stewing, slicing and then steaming a large slab of pork belly over a bed of salty pickled greens. It's indescribably melt-in-your-mouth porkalicious when it is done right, as China Taipei does. They also do a whole stewed pork ham which looks fabulous. The vegetable dishes are also very nice; you'll get some greens that you've never heard of before very simply sauteed with garlic. Mmm. Taiwan is also an island, so seafood is always a good bet at a restaurant like China Taipei. I especially liked the fish with the spicy bean sauce. Finally, on the back page is a selection of classic Taiwanese noodle and rice dishes. These are the kinds of dishes you find in a back alley late night food market in Taipei. Real Chinese comfort food, and since Chopsticks closed you can't find anything like this in Denver.
(5)Angelo C.
We're from out of town and happened to be in the area. I was in the mood for Chinese food and came across this restaurant. Upon arrival our party of four was promptly greeted with a smile and escorted to a table. The restaurant is dimly lit and has a peaceful feel to it. We ordered the beef udon noodles, Kun pao chicken, sesame chicken, and crispy honey chicken. The food arrived promptly and we could tell it was freshly made. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. We were pleased with our meal. Overall I would recommend this place for some good fresh Chinese food. Enjoy.
(4)Chad W.
I have since ordered food here several times and it is really very good. I will continue to order from here in the future.
(4)Sonja R.
Passable but ouch. The good: the drinks were strong and the service was quick and attentive. The sauteed green beans were pretty good. The bad: the food was the worst kind of Americanized Chinese, over-processed, not fresh, and heavily sauced. I'm not one to care about super "authentic" Chinese food, but whenever I eat out, I expect something better than I could have microwaved at home. The soups (egg drop and hot and sour) were unusually thick and had things that do not belong floating in them. The ugly: the Peking duck. The duck itself was fine but they served it not with the typical thin rice pancakes but with flour tortillas (and stale ones at that).
(2)Charlie M.
Our third visit and everything has been excellent. The crab wantons are billed as the best in town and I would agree, just a hint of garlic sets them apart from the rest. The service is prompt and very attentive, this is our favorite Chinese restaurant.
(4)Lien N.
Ate here about a week ago with one of the regulars. My friend knew what to order and the food turned out good! It is pretty authentic and healthier than most other Chinese place. It is slightly pricey though for a Chinese place.
(4)Vickey C.
Great place to eat and dine! One boss is from Hong Kong and the other is from Taiwan. Went their during Chinese New year and was looking for Shanghai sticky rice cake, guess what? They have it. They also have cold plate. Not just that, they cook the way my grandmother did! My other favorite is their mei-fan! That is real Taiwanese mei-fan. Last time I check, they are now deliver to Englewood with small fee, which makes me super happy that I have an authentic Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant deliver; although due to the distant, it is quite a waiting time.
(5)Lily S.
Our friend at the table said he thinks this is the best Chinese food in town, he sounded sincere, good for him, but I really don't think so. Nothing that I've had particularly jumped out to be really good. Maybe their tofu dishes, I remember enjoying both the fried and braised tofu dishes. But the service was top notch, maybe because our friend's family is long time customer.

I really love this place. The service is very good and attentive. When you get it delivered, it almost always arrives within 20 minutes. The egg rolls, pot stickers, and chicken fried rice are all very good. They have great lunch specials (I recommend the Ginger Shrimp), and very good soups ( I recommend the egg drop). Overall very good food and service.

Judging from the reviews here, now I wonder if perhaps our less than delicious food was just a consequence of ordering from the American menu? We didn't know there were two menus, but my husband and I ordered two different chicken dishes (from whatever menu is on Grubhub) that were not as we had hoped. The general tao's was soggy, and the sesame had no vegetables at all (I know this is somewhat common but I still find it to be disappointingly unbalanced). The sesame chicken's sauce was very good, as was the egg drop soup... but overall we were both left with a feeling that maybe we should stop trying new places and just stick with our usual favorites next time.

I hate to write a bad review, but OMG, the WORST chinese food ever! No flavor, soggy chicken. The fried rice was nothing special. I had such high hopes for this place. It's close to our new home, people wrote such glowing reviews, but the reality was disappointing. Any of the major fast food chinese places would have been better and less expensive. I will not be returning. Save yourself the calories and the money and find a different dining option.

Wanted something light for lunch and kinda tired of salads. Lettuce wraps sounded just right. This place is not far from my dads and he thought it sounded good. We shared 4 lettuce cups and a cup of sweet and sour soup. The lettuce was crispy and the pinons in the wraps were tasty. So for under 20.00 two of had a nice light lunch. The fortune cookies are good. Mine said better luck next fortune cookie. Guess I have to go back. Only problem was at 3pm I was hungry.
