I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about, because those were the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. I don't know if they were stuffed with crack or what, but I was tempted to ask my running group to drive an extra hour just to get another one. Wish me luck on the withdrawals. Oh, and their coffee was amaze.

I love burritos. Growing up in San Francisco, they were my life blood in high school and they are my go to comfort food. You could say that I'm a burrito connoisseur. These burritos were not good despite a few notable highlights. They weren't tightly rolled so they appear wrinkly and loose. The Gringo says it comes with lettuce tomato sour cream and guacamole but I found only a tiny amount of those things on one end. This is a big deal. A burrito's ingredients must be evenly distributed through out the burrito or you end up with gross globs of just sour cream for example. In my burrito's case, there was so little guacamole and sour cream that I almost didn't notice it at the end. How about flavor though? The mole was good, as was the medium green salsa. The steak had great texture but not a lot of flavor once the mole came off. The guacamole is very bland. All 3 kinds of tacos were dry.

Loved the atmosphere, was pretty underwhelmed by the "Pounder" breakfast burrito. Flavorless.

Breakfast burritos are fantastic. Surprisingly good coffee, not what you'd expect at a burrito joint.

The burrito steamer has revolutionized the art of wrap making. Keep on keepin on, Dos. Xoxo

My chorizo breakfast burrito was mediocre. I like the one I got at city market better. Perhaps I should try the mole next time.

anyone who has rated this establishment anything other than 5 stars are the cold hearted chubby type that get offended if the wind blows the wrong way. first off. best coffee. seriously, incredible coffee. second. best breakfast burrito. not the best in Carbondale or the valley but the best I have yet to taste and my breakfast burrito experiences span many states and many miles over many years. great local ambiance, laid back, great service, smiling faces, cozy, wonderful owners, lunch is great, breakfast is great, excellent view if sopris. I will pray for you sad, sad, miserable yelpers who actually consider this blissful place to be less than 5 stars. your life must really, really, really, really, really suck.

This place is great! The gringo burrito was delicious and it was nice to get some real coffee as well. I'll definitely be back. It does not deserve the $$$ cost rating it has. This was a cheap lunch.

I don't know why other reviewers disliked this place. I was expecting a generic greasy "Mexican" restaurant with iceberg lettuce. Mom loved the chipotle grass-fed beef, and I had the dos veggie burrito with an assortment of cabbage and greens. Food was delish and sat well on our tummies for hours. Great selection for carnivores and herbivores alike. Big coffee bar too. Reasonbly priced. Locally sourced organic food whenever possible. Well staffed. Very nice folks.

We came in for a late lunch. Good food. Kinda of a coffee shop and Chipolte's combined. Good coffee drinks as well. They also serve breakfast burritos and bagel sandwiches. I would return next time I am in the area. Good pricing on items.

Their coffee is pretty good along with their breakfast bagels. The burritos are alright as well but nothing to rave over. I went here numerous time before finding a different coffee shop, the service is mediocre and fairly unfriendly and the prices are a bit steep.

I have been here a few times and enjoyed their burritos, but REALLY like that they carry Bhakti Chai and rice milk... would love it if they had almond milk, but when in Rome... eat at DOS!

Save yourself the time and money by not eating here. The burritos were cold and not very flavorful and the ingredients did not seem to be very good quality.

Cold , gross. Not flavorful at all! Not sure what the local rave is about.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
