Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.
Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Food is always good, but why won't they take a restaurant.com app digital coupon? There is nothing on the certificate about needing to print out a copy- makes for a difficult time when you only brought so much cash! Poor management decision. The web app states that they have moved to a wireless system, being a part of the program, they should have known about that.

Stopped for breakfast this morning and pleasantly surprised. Food was good and portion was huge. Price was a little high, but I didn't check to see if there were low cost options...however, I think I heard someone order a senior menu item. The restaurant was clean and neat... tables were well spaced and wait staff were courteous.
(4)Trevor Z.
I've been here twice. First Time I came here I ordered the Philly Sandwich. It was good. The waitress let me sample the tzatziki sause and the green chile, and that's when I knew I needed to come back. The second time we ordered the Gyro sandwich and the Fajita Burrito. Both were fantastic. I like this restaraunt because I feel that they pay attention to detail and provide thier customers with great value.
(4)Rich G.
Good variety, broad spectrum of food. Everyone had something they thought was good.
(4)Carlos A.
Stopped in for breakfast. It was delicious! The portions were healthy, but probably not "heart-healthy" since they use conventional cooking methods. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!
(4)Jessica N.
Lots of food to choose from. We ordered the Denver burrito and country skillet. Both were very good. Their portions are huge and the prices are small. This is a place you would visit if you're looking for comfort food. The only negative is I wished they had a breakfast sandwich on the menu - something more simple than a big platter.
(3)Cody D.
This place has has a pretty good selection of every thing, my son likes the Chicken Fried Steak, I like the mexican, and my wife usually eats breakfast for dinner. Service for the most part is pretty good. It's where we go when none of us can figure out where to eat.
(4)Angela R.
After reading the other reviews here, it seems that there is a difference between those who went for breakfast and those who went for dinner. The consensus on dinner seems to be that it is pretty poor (I've never been), but I can give breakfast an easy four stars. It wasn't anything over the moon, but it was well-prepared and tasty.
(4)Cheryl C.
For a small cafe, this restaurant puts out the best food! I have been there for lunch 4 times the past several months and it has been fantastic food each and everytime. Their Cobb Salad is the BEST I have ever had anywhere. Their burgers are great too...We have had the same waitress (wish I could remember her name) each time...and she remembers us and gives excellent service. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good quality/home cooked food. They make everything from scratch...even their salad dressings! You won't be disappointed.
(5)Marce O.
Very good for breakfast! Love that Broomfield has a non-chain option! Good work owners
(5)Angie G.
First timers and enjoyed our experience. Place was busy. Food was good, but I couldn't finish because portion was large. Will return for sure.
(4)John N.
Went there looking for a Gyro, got the Gyro Plate. Lot's of food, very good and tasty. This little place is great: a hidden gem! They have a big breakfast menu, lot's of sandwiches, dinner, and Greek food. It is so nice to find a great little locally owned cafe in a town so full of big chain restaurants!
(4)kevin s.
went for breakfast...nicely done. They did a really nice job with construction place looks great. Waitress was "too friendly". We were 1 of 2 couples in the restaurant on a tuesday morning, and I think she was bored and wanted to chit chat with us. We'll go back
(4)Jerry A.
Great place to eat, consistent every time. The food is good, and well prepared, shows the cook cares about what he makes. The service is impeccable, as everyone seems to be attentive to your table, not just your wait person. The prices are a bit high, but the portions are filling. Love to eat there

When I first saw the Grand Opening signs for New Star, I thought it was a Chinese restaurant. Not sure why, maybe because it had taken the location of a former Pei Wei? The last thing I was expecting was a mixture of American, Greek and Mexican food. We walked over for dinner on a Friday night and it was packed! The menu was an interesting mixture. Lots of sandwiches and paninis as well as a few cuts of steak and some Greek gyro-type platters. They also have Mexican items like Chile Rellenos and Burritos. More than half of the menu was Breakfast, so I will definitely have to go back and try it some time (they make corned beef hash from scratch!) I had the Gyro platter with a greek salad and started with a cup of green chile. I'm a little bit of a green chile fiend and will order it wherever I can. New Star's version had a little bit of spice to it, nothing too overwhelming, with big chunks of pork. The Greek salad was okay, nothing too amazing. The Gyro platter was amazing. Piles of freshly-shaved gyro meat with pita triangles, thick creamy tzatziki, and a huge serving of hand-cut french fries. My boyfriend had a house salad and the Chicken Florentine- a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and topped with hollandaise. He really liked it. For me, the hollandaise was heavy on dijon mustard, but not too bad. Our server was very nice and attentive, even though they were very busy. Overall, a great experience. Can't wait to go back and try the breakfast menu!
(4)Matt W.
Very good food...mostly American with a fair amount of Greek dishes. Portions are huge, almost too big. Fries are homemade and very good. Kids meals are GIGANTIC, my daughter's dish could easily feed two kids. Overall, can't wait to come back!
(4)Jeff G.
On my first visit, I would have said that New Star was off to a bit of a shaky start, but I've given it a few more tries and I must say that I love it. They have great breakfast items, and if you don't want it exactly the way it is listed on the menu, they are happy to substitute. I'm originally from Chicago and family owned Greek joints like this are all over the place -- and usually one of the best choices you can make for good, reasonably-priced food. I've missed having that option here in the North Metro area and I'm excited that New Star is here to fill the void. One word: Gyros. That said, I've tried many things on the menu and it's all good. Breakfast omelets are HUGE, the potatoes are great and the Greek platter for dinner could easily feed two. This place is solid and I hope they keep it going. It's a refreshing change from the fast food and chain restaurants that seem to be the bulk of the options for dining in these parts.

I have found a little restaurant that has amazing food! Greek owned, and Mexican cooked food. This little gem has a huge menu sure to please the most finicky of palettes. The New Star Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day long. They have breakfast skillets like the Denver skillet veggies skillets California skillet wirh pancakes, waffles, french toast, and Breakfast Burritos, a wide selection. The hours are Monday - Saturday 6am - 9pm, with Sundays 7am - 3pm. We started off with an appetizer of pork chili and cheese with home cut fries. The pork chili was authentic, and delicious and the fresh cut fries just added to the whole experience, they were fantastic! My sons entre was the Hot Pepper Burger which was a half pound patty with cream cheese jalapeno spread with Home cut fresh fries he enjoyed them immensely! For my entree I chose from the selection of authentic Greek plates. The plate consisted of Gyro, Chicken Souvlaki! Served with a small Greek salad, fresh cut fries, warm pita bread, and tzatziki sauce. For the modest price of $12.99! My sons burger with fries was only $8.99! All the food tasted great, with spices that wakes up your taste buds! We ate everything on our plates. The service was fast, friendly, and personal. I was going to pay the bill when our waitress talked us into warm gooey Baklava served with ice cream....delicious! I highly recommend you give this place a try. I really don't think you'll be disappointed in the food, or the service, or the cost. Everything here is fantastic!
(5)Shea W.
I just really enjoy this place for an earlybird dinner with my family. Its not trendy. Its not cool. Its not hip or funky in any way. And sometimes that's exactly what you need and crave around here. All types of food here. They have a huge greek salad and the green chili is the Orange-y Colorado style that natives agree, is the best kind. The Gyro is so good. They really pile on the meat and its cut much thicker than any Gyro I've seen. There is everything you could want to order in a diner atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses are incredibly friendly and it just feels slower. Not like the service is slower but like life is slower. Its a nice change sometimes.
(4)Michaela P.
I went in with my two children, who are always well behaved (truly) . We were seated right away, given our drinks and then left a lone... For quite some time. The other server noticed it and took our order which I could see upset the woman who started our order. Let me say there were no more than 3 other tables at the time. Anyway our food came out. My son had the short stack, my daughter had 2 eggs, burnt sausage links and toast that had the biggest lump of butter on it. I had the eggs Benedict which and the sauce was mediocre at best. In summary, the food was not great, and the service worse, less than 60 seconds from getting the food our server dropped off the bill, and never asked how our food was and if we needed anything else. My friend had recommended this place, said it was great breakfast; this person is also the one who told me HuHots was good up at the orchard ( so disgusting)... I love this person as a friend but they are now officially banned from recommending restaurants to me
(2)Amy T.
It's a bit of a drive to get here, but if you happen to be in the area it's the best place for breakfast or brunch. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I've tried the breakfast burritos and skillets. All are excellent and filling. Kids are also welcome, so bring along the entire family.
(5)Andrew L.
I thought it was a Chinese restaurant but I was surprised. Had Greek Benedict, it was tasteful, well cooked, the sauteed onion was well done, pita bread was great.
(4)Katherine F.
Just your average run of the mill diner, except a little bit better. Lots of options, friendly service.
(4)Keo M.
Went for breakfast and it completely surpassed my expectations!!! Sooooo good! Best French toast ever, omelet was great and the portions were generous! My new fave breakfast spot
(5)Chris K.
This place has the absolute best gyros in CO. They even compete with Chicago gyros. Their pork souvlaiki is also amazing. The rest of the non-Greek food is pretty standard.
(4)Julie I.
Came in for the first time looking for a cinnamon roll. Pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, very cute place. Not very busy at 7am on a Saturday. Disappointed by the cinnamon roll, just a packaged cinnamonster roll. Gross! The quest for a good cinnamon roll continues...
(3)Rebekah J.
Absolutely love the family who owns this place. Pancakes and French Toast are AMAZING
(5)Jennifer D.
Wow. New Star Cafe wins! A cute, Tex-Mex theme that isn't toooooo strong was the backdrop for the best breakfast I've had in Colorado. I ordered the French Toast early bird special. It came with an egg (I don't eat eggs so my wife ordered it over easy and she enjoyed it) 2 very generous and and DELICIOUS sausage links that were supremely juicy with the perfect casing 'snap' (I love a strong snap), well seasoned home fries, and the best french toast EVER. it is Texas toast with the most satisfying crunch on the outside and perfect, moist, softness on the inside. There is a very mild sweet note to it that makes you not want to drown it in syrup. But it's not like dessert for breakfast french toast. It's kind of sophisticated in its execution. Anyway, I DEVOURED my meal... for the first time in months! My wife had the Mass Confusion. Biscuits and country gravy with cheddar and bacon, eggs, bacon, and home fries. She loved her meal and cleaned her plate. I tried her meal too and it was heavenly. Velvety smooth gravy atop moist and soft but dense biscuits that absorb but don't get so mushy like thick oatmeal. Very pleasant hearty texture. Then we ordered the monster cinna-roll. Whoa. Perfectly baked with a large center so there is plenty of the 'good stuff'. And it's HUGE. I asked the name of the cook since I had heard some comments of a not very good one working there. This was not that cook. This cook is named Rojo (Ro-ho) and he is VERY good at his job. I've never actually met him but I'm thankful to him for the AMAZING breakfast. I will certainly call ahead to see if he is working every time I return. I was told he works almost every morning now. I would suggest calling ahead. I'm very picky about my food and a bad meal can keep me out of a restaurant almost forever. The wait staff was excellent. We were greeted pleasantly, seated quickly, and our server was friemdly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, as it is large and we had a good number of questions about how things are made and what the general reaction to certain items were. We felt she was honest and sincere in her advice and we were happy we followed it! I wish I had gotten her name!
(5)Tyler K.
The service was great, quick and on top of their game. The food wasn't mouth to the floor amazing but it was good, fresh and certainly eatable. I would go back for breakfast again. Oh and you can get a nice alcoholic drink anytime of day.
(4)Lisa O.
Great breakfast place!!!!! The bacon was cooked perfectly. Good biscuits and gravy. Friendly old-fashioned service!
(4)Rick R.
Visited on a Friday evening and ordered breakfast. The waitress was attentive and funny. The food was served quickly. We ordered french toast which was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The ambiance is that of a comfortable hometown diner. We had a very relaxing experience while enjoying a good meal.
(4)Christian B.
I had the hamburger. It was average and tasted like a thousand other hamburgers I've had at different places. But the fries were cold hard and overcooked. This place was busy but that's no excuse for poor quality of food.
(3)laura g.
I've been eating here since they opened since it is close by. This was my last visit. There was a young Asian man working around my table, cleaning tables and the owner yelled at him on two occasions "Hey Chinese, what do you think you're doing? Get to work!" Totally unacceptable and racist! I thought I heard him make a remark to another employee, a young man from India I believe on my last visit but I wasn't sure so I gave him the benefit of the doubt that time. I will not support a business owner that is racist and cannot treat his employees with enough respect to bother learning their names and using them.
(1)Ricky T.
It's not bad, but certainly not the best. Eggs over cooked, 2/4 pieces of bacon way over cooked. Awesome french toast, portions that are way too large, and high prices to go along with it all. $70 to feed 3 and a toddler.
(3)Jenna O.
Home cooked taste to the breakfast, inlet was a little underdone for my taste, but great service. Would definitely come back.
(4)Andrew B.
Overall the food is ok. Not bad but just you average breakfast food. We had the pancake special and the biscuit and gravy special. Nothing special stood out to me but I would have no problem coming back if someone suggested it or if I was near by. The waitress was very kind and attentive.
(3)David N.
Great portions and always good food, the Greek omelet, along with everything else!! The service and personality of servers is always top notch!! You can't go wrong eating here!!
(5)Scott R.
Been coming here for years. It was better but the owners are getting cheap....charging for small things. Their management style leaves something to be desired...screaming at the help is not relaxing background noise when trying to enjoy your meal. Today the owners are coking, it seems to involve a lot of yelling and plate slamming to produce soggy sandwich and an over cooked meat plate.
(2)Mei W.
Meh. Was looking forward to this place after some of the reviews I saw. Got the gyro and pork souvlaki platter. Blegh. I have had way better. Couldn't even eat the pork. It tasted like curry or something but whatever it was it was not good. Fries were not cooked all the way and Tzaziki was not very tasty either. I wasted $20 eating here to only now want to go somewhere else to get this nasty taste out of my mouth.
(1)Julie L.
When you've had enough of the same old breakfast chain restaurants, head over to New Star Cafe where not only do they serve all the traditional breakfast but the same dishes with a delicious twist. The thing that stands out with New Star Cafe is that they can pull it off. And pull it off good! Feeling traditional this morning I went with the boring old cinnamon roll and eggs benedict. I love being bored especially when the cinnamon roll is the size of a small plate and was steaming hot and gooey with dripping melted sweet goodness. My hint is to NOT share this with your boyfriend. Be selfish and have it all to yourself! The eggs benedict was very well prepared and just plain good. Kind of like your mom's cooking where there's nothing special or fancy about but yet so tasty!
(5)Miss C.
Honestly, driving up to this cafe we were not expecting much... but hey, we were starving. What a fantastic surprise - the breakfast was excellent!! My husband is a picky eater but his New Star Omelette was beyond delicious. The service was great- our waitress was friendly and professional. Our new favorite breakfast place when in Broomfield!
(5)Lani P.
A pleasant hidden surprise for sure! For some reason when I've seen and heard of this place I assumed chinese food. Why? I have no idea. Well last week the hubby ate here for breakfast and brought me home some take out...Oh god it was sooo good, the french toast was delicious w/our ANY syrup on it and the basic bacon, egg and hash was a large portion and delicious. This was after it turned cold and brought it home to me. So I could only imagine how much better their food would taste fresh. So last night we decided to eat here because I was craving some pancakes and a huge portion at that. So we sat in a booth, and it was a very nice cafe with nice stain glass as decor inside. I got a large Lentil soup of the day. Delicious... Chicken Florentine w/ hollandaise sauce, fries, and zucchini sliced like fries..Delicious! Side of 3 stack pancakes -Huge and Yummy Hubby had Gyro Plate- OH MY GOD the meat was To die for all by itself! It had soo much flavor you didn't need the Tzatziki sauce. Greek salad that came w/his meal - nice and crispy w/fresh veggies. This place doesn't mess around when it comes to dishing out HUGE portions at great prices!.. I'm gonna be taking out a lot of their gyro meant that's for sure. Took a menu, just so I can salivate over it..lol
(5)Jason D.
This place is awesome! Super cozy atmosphere with a lot of character. We ordered the stuffed avocado with tuna and a Spanish omelet. The avocado was the healthiest thing I had ever seen in a restaurant. Avocado with tuna salad, fruit, and yogurt cottage cheese. Very tasty and great for watching captures. The Spanish omelet was smothered in nice home made green chilli. The chorizo sausage wasn't too greasy, and the pancakes had a hint of vanilla to them. Cafe with huge portions and unique flavors. My kind of place.
(5)Rose M.
Oh my goodness this place is amazing! I'd take pics but I scarfed half of it down already. My daughter got the French toast and that looks delicious. The sausage links are huge and the waitress said the food is made from scratch. Very delicious food.
(5)Ascary M.
It's alright just a typical diner, the steak and eggs was below average taste but the service was good.
(3)Rob W.
We just moved to the area and and decided to give this local restaurant a try. The food was okay, but not memorable. The service was terrible! Long wait to order drinks and food; our salads came out 10 minutes apart; our waitress never checked back (to fill drinks, to see if our food was okay, etc.). There were only 6 other tables occupied in the restaurant (on a Saturday night) with 2 waitresses working, so it wasn't the crowd. This was a big disappointment. We may give it another try for lunch, but it's not anywhere near the top of our culinary to-do list.
(2)Jenny D.
Pancakes are the very best I have ever had, and I'm a scratch cook myself. I live in WI so I MUST request the recipe or what it is they do differently!!! But I promise to go to the cafe whenever I am in town. Great little place!!
(5)Charlene T.
The food was pretty good but the service was frustrating. It felt like we were being rushed out and we were over charged for two different things on our bill but it never got corrected because they didn't speak English well enough. Might go back.....but probably not.
(3)Victoria J.
My brother recommended this place to me after visiting last year. I opted for the breakfast fare and had the Greek Omelet. It came with a side of potatoes and a choice of toast or pancakes, I went for the pancakes. The service was friendly and they were accommodating when I asked for instead of a 4 egg omelet, but a 2 egg and 2 egg white omelet. I liked the omelet well enough, but it wasn't anything I'll keep thinking about. The potatoes had a nice golden outside and were fluffy inside. The pancakes smelled amazing, but for some reason the taste didn't stand up to their great smell, but they were very good for standard pancakes and I'm not one to like pancakes all that much anyway. The coffee refills kept coming and I thought the portions were very generous for the price.
(3)Jason L.
Very good greek salads. Loaded with ingredients. Love the gyros meat. Service was quick and attentive. I'll definitely be back.
(4)MJ W.
I tried this place 3 times - and was so excited to have a type of business close by. But, between average food, that takes too long, the orders never correct for any of our party for any of the visits - I might say whatever. But....if you do go, do not sit in Anna's station....she is rude, ignoring and won't go out of her way for any service. Again, if that's the worst - fine. But, when you ask in a nice voice to have the your order re-cooked... you are told if you don't like it and you don't pay she will call the police....REALLY? Appears to have some good folks, but on my visits have been told 2 of those folks have left because of the way the family supports the "Anna" - guess the family thinks she is ok to treat customers that way. Keep in mind....my other serves were better - but was hard pressed to even tip. Sorry - 3 times was enough of "giving it a try"...too bad.
(1)Cristie D.
If your going for breakfast...the French Toast special is outstanding! They put a crunchy topping on the bread before grilling and its delicious! Nice big strips of bacon too!
(4)M. T.
Service is TERRIBLE! The place was pretty empty and the waitress still never came back to take our order. This is the second and LAST bad experience we will ever have at this place. The last time I had to get up and go to the kitchen to request drink refills because the waitresses were busy talking amongst themselves. The cook actually said something to them and pointed at me because they did not see me standing there. Do yourself a favor...STAY AWAY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
(1)Jerome J.
I always drive by this place and decided to drop in and order to go. I ordered the Gyro sandwich with fries and a drink. The service was quick and I couldn't wait to take a bite out of the sandwich because it smelled so good just sitting in my passenger seat. The sandwich had a generous amount of meat, tomatoes and onions. Their special sauce was on the side, which I like so the sandwich was not drowned in sauce. Once you take a bite, you'll be a fan of New Star Cafe. Can't wait to try their other menu items.
(4)Dan L.
I've been to the restaurant several times with various family members and the food has always been very good. Service has always been good. Last week (Saturday) my brother and I went to breakfast and I asked for hot tea - I specifically asked for two tea bags because I like to have several cups of tea just like the coffee drinkkers. Well, the bill come and I noticed that I was charged $2.50 twice equalling $5.00 for two tea bags, Lipton tea - about 2 cents each, and two cups of hot water. I questioned the the bill and the young waitress excused herself and got another waitress to speak to me about it. I didn't want to question her so I asked for a manager - Long story short, the manager/owner never came out to talk but I related my tea to coffee... If I were a coffee drinker I would have had a bottomless cup so why not tea? As I said the owner never came out but the additional $2.50 was taken off my bill. So, I gave the money I saved to the waitress for a tip... I'm not sure I'll go back for breakfast -
(4)Zach M.
Been here 3 times. The food was decent 2/3 times. This last time there were egg shells in the omelet and the omelet came out runny (think eggs over easy). The service has always been poor. I will not eat breakfast here again.
(1)Tanya J.
Had lunch today at New Star Cafe on the recommendation of a friend. The food was good but the service was terrible. Our waitress never came back to check on us after we were served and we had to ask the hostess for drink refills. It looked like they had plenty of staff on hand. Waitress wasn't even friendly until she handed us the check. Probably won't go back.
(2)Steven W.
We went here based on yelpers and we were not dissappointed. I had a gyro plate with fries and my wife had a veggie omellete which was loaded with spinach and cheese. I appreciated the amount of gyro meat in my sandwich and my fries were tasty. My date really appreciated the amount of goodies in her veggie omellete and had plenty to take home for a second meal. The service was good (although the waitress did seem a bit stretched for as busy as it was), the quanity was excellent, and overall was a great lunch experience. I will be back there soon to try some other dishes and it is so nice to have a solid brunch option near home. And any cafe that tosses rellenos on a greek focused diner menu definetely deserves a fourth star!!! cheers Steve
(4)Thayne W.
We love all the different dishes! We've tried the Greek dishes, the American dishes...they are all wonderful. They have generous portions.
(5)Johnny C.
Nice addition to Broomfield. Wouldn't recommend it for dinner/dining occasion because its a not a place you want to linger at but rather just go to eat. I had the Gyro which was one of the best I've had in Denver, Tzatziki was nice and thick & creamy. I was disappointed by my Greek salad, it was basically a house salad with crumbles of Feta and not very fresh lettuce.
(4)Lynda J.
It really doesn't matter how good your food is, if the service is horrible. Understand I give a lot of grace to wait staff, they do work hard and have bad days. But after today's experience I will not be back. Our waitress, did not listen to us, talked over us, slammed food on the table so fast, that had to stop her as she turned to walk off and ask for silverware, which after having our food sit for over 5 minutes we finally got up and found our own silverware, and when she did come back to deliver the toast and pancakes, she didn't even have the silverware then. She asked if we wanted more coffee, we said yes...and guess what she never came back. The bus boy was trying hard to compensate for this, and when we left, he handed me a flyer to do a survey, and I said, you really don't want my feedback, this was horrible, and he nodded and stated, that is why he gave it to me, they want to improve. Seriously, just read the reviews here, you know you have a problem with service. We won't be back! Also clean the place, we were in a booth next to the kitchen and the ledge was disgusting.
(1)Kyann A.
Greek food?? Really? Nothing but American cuisine and a few med items (hummus and gyro). Service was awful and food was mediocre.

The food here is usually pretty tasty (I've tried the gyros, burgers, and sandwiches), and the servers are always pretty nice. We got a new one on the last visit who seemed a bit harried, but it was her 2nd day on the job, so a bit of nervousness is explainable. Prices are good for the food quality too, which is nice. The only problem I have is that every time I order something, as tasty as it is, I suddenly realize there's something else that would be good too, and then I get hungry again an hour later...

Love it, good old fashioned cafe, WITH greek platters, very good ribs AND a bar AND wifi!

After having been back a couple of times, I've decided New Star is going to be my new go-to place for great diner and deli food. I just devoured one their tri-tip panini sandwiches for lunch - grilled peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, perfectly-cooked thick slices of tri-tip - one of the more delicious sandwiches I've had. It came with an order of very good potato salad, and excellent pickles. The service is always excellent, the prices are good, and the food is tasty.

Nice little place. Good food, average price, nice decor (place used to be a Pei Wei). Pancake sandwich seems like a steal of a deal. Bring an appetite.
(4)Eva S.
I wanted a new breakfast joint, so I decided to try it today. Nice atmosphere, easy parking, though really gruff service from my waitress. Sorry for inconveniencing you, honey.. but get your people silverware, and take their order without rolling your eyes and saying clearly: "Jesus Christ!" The Food: I was excited to try the Greek Benedict, but i think it is just too much sodium for my taste. (Gyro meat, feta cubes and hollandaise sauce over a toasted pita. If I go there again, I will try the salads which looked very good.

Kind of odd interior. Like a Denny's blended with a Bennigan's. Lots of kids working there, apparently family members of the owners. The rest of the servers look like strippers, but that's no big deal. My chimichanga was ok, but certainly not above average, and my house salad had rotten tomatoes and some odd-tasting peppers in it. My companion had a gyro and said it was totally unmemorable. The kid who was serving us didn't even know what kind of sauce it was that came with the gyro (tzatziki) when we asked for more. You work in a restaurant known for its gyros, and you don't know what sauce goes with them? THAT is why kids shouldn't be waitpeople.

The manager at this restaurant is completely rude. We went here bc of restaurant.com . They are supposed to accommodate the coupons, however she was unwilling to take a mobile version of he coupon even though that is how restaurant.com sells them. Her unwillingness to call for certificate verification actually led to her asking us to leave. We had small children with us and it was a complete hassle to change venues. We tried to order dinner anyway and she told us she would rather not serve us. It was unbelievable. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!
(1)Mike R.
Very good food, good service, clean, etc. I don't understand the low reviews, this place is great to have since there are no other real breakfast options in the area.
(4)paul s.
Great food, attentive service. Good prices. Great alternative to the chains.
(4)Steven W.

(1)Ascary M.
It's alright just a typical diner, the steak and eggs was below average taste but the service was good.
(3)Michelle M.

(3)Sherrill J.

(4)Rose M.

(5)Rob W.
(4)Ricky T.
(3)Charlene T.
The food was pretty good but the service was frustrating. It felt like we were being rushed out and we were over charged for two different things on our bill but it never got corrected because they didn't speak English well enough. Might go back.....but probably not.

(1)Chris K.
(5)Arthur Z.

(3)David N.
Great portions and always good food, the Greek omelet, along with everything else!! The service and personality of servers is always top notch!! You can't go wrong eating here!!
(5)Victoria J.
(1)Scott R.
(1)Barb T.

(5)Tanya J.

We love all the different dishes! We've tried the Greek dishes, the American dishes...they are all wonderful. They have generous portions.

(1)Chris A.
(4)Kathleen R.
Love it, good old fashioned cafe, WITH greek platters, very good ribs AND a bar AND wifi!
(4)Coyote O.
(4)Mike R.
Very good food, good service, clean, etc. I don't understand the low reviews, this place is great to have since there are no other real breakfast options in the area.
(4)paul s.
Great food, attentive service. Good prices. Great alternative to the chains.
(4)Michelle M.
(1)Ming T.
(3)Sherrill J.
(4)Dan M.
Nice little place. Good food, average price, nice decor (place used to be a Pei Wei). Pancake sandwich seems like a steal of a deal. Bring an appetite.
(4)kevin s.
went for breakfast...nicely done.
Love to eat there
(4)Myla P.
(4)Jennifer D.
(4)laura g.
(1)Rebekah J.
Absolutely love the family who owns this place. Pancakes and French Toast are AMAZING
(5)Ricky T.
It's not bad, but certainly not the best. Eggs over cooked, 2/4 pieces of bacon way over cooked. Awesome french toast, portions that are way too large, and high prices to go along with it all. $70 to feed 3 and a toddler.
(3)Andrew L.

(5)Rick R.
(5)MJ W.
(1)Rob W.
(4)Jerome J.
(1)Scott R.
(5)Tanya J.
(2)Chris A.
(4)Kathleen R.
Love it, good old fashioned cafe, WITH greek platters, very good ribs AND a bar AND wifi!
(4)Coyote O.
(4)Mike R.
Very good food, good service, clean, etc. I don't understand the low reviews, this place is great to have since there are no other real breakfast options in the area.

Great food, attentive service. Good prices. Great alternative to the chains.

(2)Barb T.
(2)Carlos A.
Stopped in for breakfast. It was delicious! The portions were healthy, but probably not "heart-healthy" since they use conventional cooking methods. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!

Very good for breakfast! Love that Broomfield has a non-chain option! Good work owners

First timers and enjoyed our experience. Place was busy. Food was good, but I couldn't finish because portion was large. Will return for sure.

Nice little place. Good food, average price, nice decor (place used to be a Pei Wei). Pancake sandwich seems like a steal of a deal. Bring an appetite.

went for breakfast...nicely done. They did a really nice job with construction place looks great. Waitress was "too friendly". We were 1 of 2 couples in the restaurant on a tuesday morning, and I think she was bored and wanted to chit chat with us. We'll go back
