Great Scotts Eatery Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Good food. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is there were four of us getting to go orders here but they only gave us two menus and we couldn't sit at the bar either we had to sit on the bench in the waiting area. These things are sort of trivial though so I will be going back here. The food is nice and greasy.

This is the second time I've been to Great Scott's... both times for breakfast. It's a great breakfast place. Even though it's great, I can't give it 4 stars, simply because I'm just not that big of a fan of traditional breakfast foods. Nonetheless, if you are craving steak & eggs, chicken fried chicken, pancakes, or something with a Mexican kick then this place is for you. It's packed on the weekends so be prepared for a bit of wait for your table and for the food service to be a bit slower than your average Denny's. This place has an old school diner atmosphere and there are all walks of life in there. The menu for breakfast is traditional but includes some dishes with a Mexican flare. The rest of the menu for lunch/dinner is also extensive... one of these days I'll have to make it back there for something other than breakfast. This morning I had the french toast that comes with oats and cinnamon on top... it was good, but a little too sweet for me. I prefer my breakfasts to be spicy. But, if you are a french toast fan, then give it a whirl. It's not made on traditional bread either... it was a lighter bread that got a bit more crunchy than your average french toast. The pseudo hubby ordered the chicken fried chicken which comes smothered in gravy with hashbrowns & eggs. It was good... chicken was moist and the breading was crisp. A little salty for my liking... but it would satisfy any big breakfast craving for sure!

My favorite place in Broomfield to get breakfast. They have a couple kinds of hash and each one is just better than the last. For other meals I recommend the burritos or the corn beef.

This is a great 'greasy spoon' place to go for a good milkshake and some liver and onions. Great wait staff, all of them are so friendly. Mornings are packed with regulars. This is not necessarily the place you go for a gourmet meal. You go here to hang with friends, consume massive amounts of calories, and not get overcharged. I like it.

If I drank where I worked, I'd try this greasy spoon cure to a hangover. Huge array of items on the menu; no matter what someone is in the mood for they should find something. My Mexican/fajita omlet didn't have a lot of taste... the burgers, malts, and onion rings everyone else were enjoying looked and smelled wonderful. Hope your comfortable with a lack of personal space if you come when it's busy. I guarantee you'll be rubbing elbows with someone you don't know

I loved it! It was really, really good! It's nice that there are some really good diners still around! It was fun, and quirky, and priced really well, especially for the starving college student! I definitely want to go back more often. The burger I got was delish, the fires were to die for, and the Oreo milkshake, excellent! I love diners... :-)

Cheap, fast, and did I mention cheap? It's def greasy spoon with huge portions. On the upside you can have a burger with fries and an AWESOME milk shake for breakfast.

Awesome food, service, and atmosphere. The meatloaf was HUGE!!!!! Tasted great. I'll be back for sure. They could, charge twice, what they do now and it would still be worth it.

Went here looking for some diner type food. The decor had everything that pointed to it being old-time diner. We were gravely disappointed. The eggs in my omelette weren't real eggs, the hashbrowns tasted like they were cooked in two-day old cooking oil, and my sourdough toast was soaked in butter. I will not be going back here. 1 star for the decor though!

Great breakfast/late night place to get home style food! You wont leave feeling hungry!

While I can say that Great Scott's still has some of the best service around, I've been really disappointed with the food over our last several visits. We've gotten watered-down orange juice, limp salads, slimy lettuce, tasteless mashed potatoes, overcooked items that sometimes taste re-heated - very disappointing. We were also told that tomatoes were only available upon special request. A couple of times now, one or more of our party has become ill and queasy after eating here. That never used to happen. The place is always very busy, but it seems like they're starting to cut corners for some reason - both on ingredient quality and care in preparation. The wait staff are, as always, fantastic, but the food is no longer acceptable.

After leaving a comment card and receiving a call from the owner, I was pleased to hear that he was concerned about my experience. I went back a second time, and tried the Chicken Fried Chicken, and it was just fine. Prices were reasonable, and the portions were, again, quite large. The day I went, they were probably just having a bad day. No worries. Very happy with this second experience. I'll be back. :)

First of all I need to put out a disclaimer. When I read a review on yelp I tend to go for the bad reviews to see if it was just a person's 1 time bad experience or if there is really a potential problem with the restaurant. This review is a little of both. I have been to Great Scotts before, and I was neither impressed nor disappointed with my food or the service the last time I was here. However Danielle has inspired me to write this review today, wait I am getting ahead of myself. Let me back it up. So here I am wondering where I should go for a nice Sunday brunch. Great Scotts, I think. I haven't' been there in a while and it was pretty good. So that is where I go. I get there and it is busy but not overly busy, I say party of 3 for a table please. The guy behind the counter says that will be about 20 min. Strange I thought. It doesn't seem that busy. So I stand and wait and wait and wait... mean while seeing other people come in after us and getting seated right away. So I go up to the guy and ask why all of these other people are getting seated while we are still waiting. He said that he thought we were a party of 10. So we got put at the bottom of the list. OK this was too bad but certainly doesn't get me off to the right start. So the guy behind the counter does get us a table as soon as he can. Then Danielle comes up to take our drink order as soon as we are seated... (This was good Danielle) but she come right back immediately with our drinks... while I appreciate her speed this was the last time I would see it. I hadn't really gotten a chance to review the menu and Danielle was back asking if we were ready to order. I asked for a few more minutes and she was happy to accommodate. We ordered and that was the last time we would see Danielle until after the food arrived. I hate to whine but I was a little thirsty and sitting there with an empty glass wasn't making me feel all warm and fuzzy. I also ordered a cinnamon roll before the meal arrived. So the next time we see Danielle was when she brought my burger and the rest of the meal. Danielle placed the food down and said "there ya go, do you need anything else?" this was my clue that she had completely forgotten about the cinnamon roll. So I said actually you can cancel my cinnamon roll, since I had asked for it before the meal. Danielle got indignant at this point and said that she would cancel my order because I changed my mined (Now I really hate it when people lie, I hate it even more when someone tries to put words into my mouth and lie at the same time) OK I said, I just wanted it before my meal and now that the food is here I don't really want it now. Oh yeah and this is now when she refilled my drink... nice... So I take my first bite of the burger that I have been longing for, I was really hungry and looking forward to a greasy spoon diner burger. What a got was a mouth full of disgusting meat... the burger didn't taste like it was fried or broiled... it tasted like.... It was steamed.... It was soooooo disgusting. But I was really hungry and so I ate it... the fries that came with the burger were cold. I wasn't really going to make a scene and given how I was treated over my waitress (Danielle) forgetting my roll I am sure she probably would have me stand up and explain to the entire restaurant what I expected from a burger. Summary: so you can skip to this part. Service TERRIBLE Food 2 out of 5 was it edible yes was it good... not by my personal standard Will I return? Only for breakfast, I will not order another burger from this place. Breakfast was OK, not terrible but not great. Thanks

So I'm keeping my rating the same but I tried some different stuff this time around. I got a breakfast chimichanga with bacon (for lunch). It was pretty good, the green chili was decent. I'd rather get a breakfast burrito next door, though. I also tried the banana-fana milkshake. It's not my favorite but still really good. We came back because we had a coupon. Nothing outstanding but still worth your hard earned cash.

Big breakfast eaters hungry for breakfast classics will like this place. Think classic diner standards on the menu with really friendly staff bringing them to you. The ambiance is very unpretentious and family-friendly and the prices are reasonable. The kitschy americana decor is a bit cliche for my taste, but not bothersome. The food is pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Tip: They don't take AmEx, so bring some other plastic.

I'll admit it: I'm a sucker for the Great American Diner. Since moving to Westminster three years ago, I've been looking for a good one for when that sunny-side-up egg craving kicks in. So, in desperation as I head to a local chain place, I search for "breakfast" one more time on my iPhone, and this place pops up on local search. Not sure how I missed it. I head over. Great parking with their own lot. I am seated immediately, and a sweet diner lady called Beryl will be my server. I order hot tea, the "beer shrooms" app, and a two-egg and italian sausage dish. I love italian sausage, but tend to be leery because of the nitrite cancer thing. But this time I'm like, a little bit of what you fancy won't kill you, right?! The tea is served perfectly, very hot, with water in both cup and little teapot. The beer-battered mushrooms are freshly lightly fried, crunchy and delicious with their ranch. And the eggs and italian sausage (with hash) were totally spot on. The sausage came in a big slab, like a steak almost, and tasted great. Later I asked Beryl where they got the sausage, and she came out with a sticker from the pack--some local outfit called Paisano made it--and to my total surprise, the six ingredients include no nitrites, nitrates, or preservatives or artificial additives of any kind. I'm looking at the sticker right now, and I still hardly believe it. Fantastic. So, I order two more refills of hot water, and Beryl is fast and helpful even though this isn't adding to the total bill. The meal was simply excellent as diner food goes. I'm reviewing this place as a candidate for the Great American Diner, and this is totally a win. Five stars, and I opened my yelp account just to say so. I'll be back.

Great Scott's is a place you go for traditional diner food. It's good food, not great, just good. The cooks don't seem to understand the concept of "crispy" though, because I order my hash browns crispy and they rarely are. But the servers are nice, the food is decent and the price is lower than most breakfast places. For breakfast I generally get the Hungry Man meal and it's a big breakfast. Too much really but if I know I'm going to be working hard all day and may not have a chance to stop for lunch this will keep me going till dinner. My wife generally gets a Denver omelet and my son gets two eggs and sausage and he's a big fan. He's only 3 but he works those eggs and sausage out. today we went and I had the corned beef hash and quite honestly I would not recommend it. It was straight out of the can corned beef hash and was very salty. For under $7 it wasn't all that bad but I won't be ordering it again. Overall, it's cheap greasy spoon diner food. Don't expect it to be something that it's not.

Will not eat there again. Food was not good, staff was even worse, and atmosphere is subpar. My husband and I felt sick after we ate, nearly immediately. Watch the waitstaff and cooks touch their hair, back, and faces without washing their hands before touching food. NASTY. Will not ever eat there again.

After the IMAX we settled on going to a diner that my girlfriend had heard good things about. Being sort of a Mexican breakfast connoisseur I had to try their Big Boy Breakfast Burrito. I would give it a 7 out of 10. I had it with a combo of hot and mild green chile and my eggs classic over-medium. Though it was a slow night, the service was good. I enjoyed the low price a lot as well. My date had Green-Chile Cheese Fries, which were huge! And very tasty. I look forward to going back soon, especially for their Thursday night milkshake special!

I love Great Scott's!! I should note that we've only ever been there for breakfast, but it's become something of a Sumday tradition in our family.

I have lived nearby for the past 5 years. Until the last 6 months or so, the quality of the food was good to very good. Ample portions, quality ingredients and reasonable prices. Service is very friendly if slow. Overall, I enjoyed coming here. Now I no longer feel that way. The past 6 visits since Oct. 2012 thru Jan 1, 2013 have been a poor experience. The wait staff seems very disorganized. But much worse is the food quality. It seems like they don't care in the kitchen, burnt bacon and poorly cooked eggs. Sandwiches placed on top of a juicy pickle makes for soggy bread that falls apart in your hands - and I didn't order pickle flavored wet bread. French toast that used to be fully rolled in oats now have a few oat flakes on about half of the bread. Occasionally slow service is OK if the food meets or exceed expectations - that is not the case here unfortunately.

Okay so I've been Craving meatloaf since most places seem to have stopped making the so called "comfort food" in the mainland and I've had my eye on this place for over a year. I've been wanting to eat here every time the hub asks where I wanna go and he just doesn't seem interested. I've read good reviews on this place and it always looks so cute and oldies like, just like a real diner. FINALLY the hub's said let's eat here to my surprise, but maybe it's because he new I was mad at him. The only time I get what I want ofcourse..lol So I checked in on yelp and it offered a 20% discount of our bill, which the hub's who's a cheapskate LOVED. Upon walking in I fell in love with the place and the waitress was so very nice and on it. I wasn't hungry until I saw the menu selection and then I was in HEAVEN! Bacon & cheese fries w/gravy - I asked for gravy on them and to have half and half so I could taste the difference. They were both delicious. I brown gravy had more seasoning if you want strong and the white gravey was like biscuits and gravy and lighter. I loved the combination of both. Salads that came with our meals were very fresh and crisp. Meatloaf plate- I got it with mash and veggies and brown gravy...though the meat kinda look like a turd..lol really it did....It was also very delicious on it's own with no gravy or anything. I am officially in love with this place especially since it's about 8 minutes away from me and they open till 10pm. Cornbeef cabbage - oh this was very delcious and the cornbeef didn't have any fatty parts on them. I love the sauce and juices with it. Hubby loved it as well. Strawberry Banana shake - was soo creamy and good.. we split it since there was enough for two. Well needless to say we have found a new place to eat. Finally the wait of going here has ended and made our go to list when we want to eat out for cheap with great food. our bill after the 20% off came out only to $22 and change, soo I told the hubs we have to give extra tip for great service, food, discount and Everything....mmm I can't wait to try their other plates...

This is by far the best local restaurant around. Offers many items from classic burgers to delicious Chile rellenos. Today I tried their new menu item of a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. I am not kidding when I say this is the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had! Do not hesitate, come to this restaurant! Everything is great, and the service is always fantastic. Have been coming for years and plan to continue for years to come!

Pancakes and sandwiches all day! The appetizers aren't the greatest and the steak could be better. I was really tickled by the packet of honey I was provided when I ordered ya I guess I thought only fast good places did that but the waitress was pleasant and on it whenever we needed anything so I'd do it again.

I live down the street from Great Scotts and come here often. It has a cute 50's diner feel and offers traditional American dishes. Their chicken fried chicken is a must try. On Wednesdays, they have specials on their shakes. I usually order their chorizo skillet. It has potatoes, green chili, cheese, chorizo and comes with toast. It's fattening, but delicious! The portions are pretty large, so there is always leftovers. If you want something sweet after your meal, try the sundae. You can't go wrong with that!

Continuation from my review of the CRAPTASTIC Cortez St. Great Scott's.... I want to take the time to thank the wonderful staff of this GS for salvaging the horrible experience on the very same day, my mother's 60th bday. Everyone was cheerful, we were greeted immediately by some cute little high school girl, and two other staff members, and even later by the manager. This place is so clean and the food was super fantastic. I cannot believe that there is such a night and day comparison to the two establishments. I asked the ownership to contact me to let them know about the whole ordeal and let them know how great everything was and how great this GS is, but they never did...so hopefully this helps! Thanks guys! Will be coming back on a regular basis for sure.

So it's not the most amazing place in the world but it isn't horrible either. I don't know if it's just the timing when we went but they seem to cater to an older coward. The adults ordered hamburgers which were fine but then it's hard to mess up a hamburger. Our waitress was a sweetheart & very helpful. The place is covered in 50's theme. Overall not a bad experience but nothing that makes me want to come back anytime either

A fun eatery. Great for kids. Friendly servers. You can see the effort made to give it a funky pretend vintage sort of feel. We ordered pancakes with white chocolate, berries... They were amazing. They did overcook the scrambled eggs a bit and could have more promptly refilled coffee, but those were the only negatives. Easy to overlook in exchange for a great vibe. A solid four stars and a great value with the 20% Yelp discount.

Classic greasy spoon diner ... 2 locations, in Denver and Broomfield. At that Broomfield location, our server, Carla, was excellent. My breakfast companion loved her Tacos Caliente, and I similarly appreciated the Veggie Omelette, which they'll cook up with egg whites if you ask. Had a nice chat with the manager about their use of social media to promote the business. They are always having specials. They offer a 20% discount with your first Yelp check-in, and when I showed mine to the manager, he said they've been trying to take that off of Yelp for some time, which I could believe, but naturally he honored the discount. Seemed to be a great group of people working here.

Great food from a locally-owned small diner chain! They source natural and local ingredients when possible and everything we've had is great! Try the Big Boy Breakfast Burrito!

Would not recommed this place, the location is not very easy to get into, the food is over priced for what we got, the hash browns were not fully cooked and our waitress was not very attentive.

Ive passed this place many times & it always looked like a cute lil old school style cafe to try. Came in today for the 1st time & the food was awesome! My girls got hearty portions of pancakes & bacon. Staff was friendly. & it was what i thought. A cute 50's style decor with that era music playing. Also got 20% off when i checked in on yelp,& they were happy to give me the discount which is always nice!

Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. I have a daughter with a lot of food restrictions and they answered all my questions and we were able to make accommodations for her. I ordered to go to take back to our hotel and it was still hot and obviously fresh. everyone loved their meal. We loved the lemon pepper chicken and the burgers were great lettuce wrapped (gluten free). Side salad was not your usual lettuce and a few croutons, it had cheese, egg, onions, tomatoes, it was delicious! Great place.

  • Paul C.

Great breakfast, retro atmosphere, and friendly staff. Eggs are cooked to perfection and the meats are nice and flavorful. The only problem I have is checking out. It usually involves standing at a register until a person shows up and starts the transaction. They should just have waitresses do it for you. Also the location is in a bad spot, right off a main road with very little space in between the front door and speeding cars.

    (4)
  • C B.

A great place for breakfast! I stop by every time I'm in the area. The Huevos Rancheros is great as is the country fried steak. The prices are a little pricey for breakfast but the food is plentiful and delicious. If you go later in the morning you may have to wait a bit, especially on a Sunday.

I order Pick Up service with them through Grub Hub. Ill tell yah, they've never let me down. My meal is always ready on time and it's inexpensive. They have a lot of options as well.

Very disappointed in the customer service here. I came on a Wednesday after working all night long. I had two eggs Benedict with hash browns. I only ate one of my eggs Benedict when our waitress came and took all of our food off the table. She didn't speak to anyone of us while she took the food. We had only gotten our food maybe 5-10 minutes before it was taken away. All of us clearly were still eating with the fact a fork was still in my hand and my friend drinking his coffee. This is the only place I've been to that I would say that I would never in my life go to again.

  • Jennifer S.

Disgusting! DON'T EAT HERE! Absolutely horrible, low-quality shameful excuse for food. If I wanted poor quality frozen food that tastes like chemicals I'd go to Walmart and buy some frozen chicken nuggets and throw them in the microwave. Nasty. Nasty. Nasty. And when I spoke with the manager about my disappointment over paying ten dollars for something inedible, he told me EVERYONE uses frozen chicken tenders that taste like chemicals. Um, no sir, they do not. Great Scott my butt. There is nothing great about this place AT ALL.

Several of my co-workers and I decided to come here for lunch. When we arrived, we were quickly greeted and shown to our table. After we received our drinks, the waiter returned after what seemed like 10+ minutes. The service here has been unattentive and could've been better. I ordered a retro salad and found large strips of bacon cut in half. It was a bit inconvenient to eat. The ranch dressing was also really runny and underseasoned. It tasted like watered-down ranch. It took the server a long time to bring us our checks and to run our cards. It was lucky that we had more than an hour to eat. It's not a good sign for a restaurant to take their sweet time during lunch rush hours. I've heard good things about this diner, so I will have to come back to try other items on the menu.

  • Dave H.

I really enjoy the food here but I'm giving only 3 stars because the last 2 times I've ordered by phone for pickup they have messed up. Both times I ordered a patty melt on Texas Toast with fries and a separate order of onion rings. The first time they didn't give me fries and put like 4 onions rings with my sandwich. I had to ask them to put in the order of fries. The second time, 4 onion rings, no fries and they used Rye bread. I told them about the mix up and they brought out a box with 4 more onion rings. Still didn't get my fries and wait. Come on! If you are going to take orders over the phone please get it right. The few times we've dined in we never had issues. Oh and they give you a basket of onion rings when you eat there. What's the deal with being stingy with to go orders of rings?

  • Michelle T.

3rd time we have eaten here and it is very good for diner food. They have great specials all week long, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast all day is nice too. They also do a great malt and when they have them, their sweet potato fries are amazing. We will continue to visit this place.

I love diners and especially great Scott's. Management is on top of it but the waitresses can be rather surly. Last week at 4 o'clock a client and I stopped in and the place was practically empty The waitress wanted to seat us next to the restrooms in the back wall by the wait station. WTF is that all about ? The menu features a beautiful cobb salad very tempting. Whoa, a small amount of lettuce with a miniscule avocado nothing like the picture. Big letdown. How much does a handful of lettuce cost after all? Presentation is everything- or apparently only in a menu photo. This salad could use a lot of improvement overallI. Try the chili rellanos or the chicken fried steak both winners. Warning, I'll be back...

I picked up my Husband from work today to have lunch with our kids! Since we are new to the area we have used Yelp a lot to find places to visit. So since Great Scott's was on our list we decided to try and was pleasantly surprised! I tried the King Melt which was very tasty! We planned to return and try breakfast!

I'm a little torn on this place since I used to work here. 1. Don't ever get the vegetable beef soup, they keep it for days. 2. Their Mexican food is surprisingly good. Breakfast is clearly the bread and butter, so make sure you get their early or you'll be waiting forever. Service is always hit or miss, but it's definitely improved in years!

Nifty old shool diner serving solid breakfsts and great price points for older folks (its packed with 60-70-80 year olds) I had a ham and cheese omeltte that was very good .Similiar to an Egg and I experience. The place is almost always busy, so get ther early or not at alll Also got a Yelp pop up offer for 20% orfer, but it took a manager's OK and it toook a while to get the manager.

We love Great Scott's for breakfast on Friday mornings, the senior menu is great, and very reasonable. Our favorite is the chili relleno breakfast with hash browns and an egg.

This place is a greasy diner. Not many items seem to be made of from scratch. I like the corned beef (yes I am under 85). Fried chicken is horrible and maybe from a box?? Breakfast is great, probably their strong point. Hash browns, eggs, bacon. The food comes out fast, cheap and easy.

After driving by this place several times and seeing that it's always packed, I put it on my "To Try" list. We got a coupon in the mail yesterday so I figured, Today's the Day! We got the chicken fajitas and the santa fe sampler and they were both pretty disappointing. Plus, I literally stuck to the vinyl seats...ew...

Just got home from long trip and for our first breakfast to celebrate being home we go to Great Scott's where you get a fabulous Chili Relleno breakfast , great service from a fantastic happy staff. It is a real treat to come here every Friday morning! We are becoming "regulars"!

5 stars!?! No, the only saving grace is a good milk shakes. Their breakfast might be ok, but Cracker Barrel is down the road. I had Fish N Chips. The fries were decent, but my fish CLEARLY was frozen crap, looked boring tasted worse. My husband's "tenderloin" sandwich was frozen, too thick and full of gristle. You want good Americana, especially breakfast? Just stay at home and cook. I'll share my recipes.

So, do you want to go a place that is a kitch-y Denny's where no matter what your age or Body Mass Index, you can be sure that at least half of patrons will be older and twice your size? Well Great Scotts is the place for you, especially is you need to feel good about yourself while breaking your diet.

I generally go for breakfast and the service is very good. The staff has been there for several years and its nice to go in and the people remember you. It has been a weekend hang out place for the Broomfield founding fathers. It has been interesting to listen to the stories about Broomfield in the early days. The food is good and portion size is very good.

After having been served what looked like a salad that I had to send back the rest of the meal made up for it. My son had a pretty big burger and I had the Chicken Fried Chicken with the gravy on the side (

I love coming to Great Scott's for some "home cookin'." Their menu is so broad and it isn't broad and crappy like Sonic's but actually good and hits the spot. I always get their green chili cheese fries (yum). For some reason I really like their fried chicken. The beef tips are very good too. They also have a nice variety of milkshakes - don't get any freaky fruity flavors. Their pies are very good too. It's also nice because on the weekends they're open 24 hours. A good place to hang out with friends.

Great customer service, amazingly low prices. An old-fashioned kind of diner with a fun 50's atmosphere. The food is very basic, greasy-spoon diner food. Some of it is very obviously straight out of the freezer and straight into the microwave or deep fryer. Scott's redeeming feature, however, is its Mexican dishes. The chimichanga (both the breakfast and the chicken) are excellent!! My husband always gets the fiesta combo (a burrito, an enchilada, a chile relleno, a taco, and rice and beans) and we leave stuffed to the gills. So I would definitely recommend Scott's for the Mexican fare, not so much for the rest of the food.

A good place to go if you're really hungry for breakfast and brunch food or if someone wants lunch too. They have really good prices and large portions. The wait staff is very friendly. The food is good, not too special, just what you'd expect from a diner place. Its 50's style decor and its a bit loud but its nice to go if you are having a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning.

Great Scott this place is good! We've been a bunch of times and really haven't had a bad meal. Green Chilli is surprisingly good. Whether you're into spicy Mexican, or traditional eggs/pancakes its tough to go wrong. Staff is stable and solid. Always pleasant and efficient. Manager is attentive to the guests and that is always a good sign. You're probably not going to like this place if you're into fine dining, but if you want good, fast, and affordable...you're gonna LOVE IT!

So I'm keeping my rating the same but I tried some different stuff this time around. I got a breakfast chimichanga with bacon (for lunch). It was pretty good, the green chili was decent.

Thanks

Good food. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is there were four of us getting to go orders here but they only gave us two menus and we couldn't sit at the bar either we had to sit on the bench in the waiting area. These things are sort of trivial though so I will be going back here. The food is nice and greasy.

Thanks

This place has great greasy spoon breakfasts. It was family friendly, had a good atmosphere, and the staff were extemely friendly.

One of the worst breakfast meals I have ever eaten. There were four people in our party and only one persons food was tolerable. Never again.

  • Marilynn C.

Is a great diner for breakfast and when your craving that all american meal. I enjoy most of their dishes but Chicken fried Chicken is the money shot ;) If your in the mood for a solid traditional american meal you cant go wrong at Great Scotts. Enjoy!

3rd time we have eaten here and it is very good for diner food. They have great specials all week long, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast all day is nice too. They also do a great malt and when they have them, their sweet potato fries are amazing. We will continue to visit this place.

  • Niah N.

A great place for breakfast! I stop by every time I'm in the area. The Huevos Rancheros is great as is the country fried steak.

I live down the street from Great Scotts and come here often. It has a cute 50's diner feel and offers traditional American dishes. Their chicken fried chicken is a must try. On Wednesdays, they have specials on their shakes. I usually order their chorizo skillet. It has potatoes, green chili, cheese, chorizo and comes with toast. It's fattening, but delicious! The portions are pretty large, so there is always leftovers. If you want something sweet after your meal, try the sundae. You can't go wrong with that!

3rd time we have eaten here and it is very good for diner food. They have great specials all week long, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast all day is nice too. They also do a great malt and when they have them, their sweet potato fries are amazing. We will continue to visit this place.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
