My wife and I enjoy Flatz on the weekends for their breakfast buffet. It features all the usual favorites - made-to-order omelettes; breakfast meats (bacon, sausage); potatoes and hash browns; pancakes, waffles and breakfast pastries; oatmeal and cold cereals; fresh fruits and more -you can also order off the menu. The quality of the food is top-notch and they also seem to change things up slightly on the buffet (different sausages, potatoes, etc.) from visit to visit so it's always just a bit different. On quiet weekends, the staff does a great job, the buffet is well stocked and fresh and traffic flows well. On holidays (we took my father-in-law for Father's Day 2011) or when they're crowded with hotel guests, however, it gets hectic, there are long waits for foods to be replenished and the staff seems to get overwhelmed. This has happened to us a few times so you're safest going on a non-holiday weekend and/or when they're not overly crowded. We continue to come back based on the quality and selection of food. Finally, if you like biscuits and gravy, Flatz has one of the best I've ever had! Prices are average for a breakfast buffet - $15/person (not including tip) - with juice and coffee. If you've been looking for a reliably good breakfast buffet in the Broomfield/Westminster area, check it out!

So we ate by the fireplace in the lounge area, which was lovely. We really enjoyed the mellow atmosphere, the lovely decor and our meal. We had the wild game nachos to start, which were super yummy! Too yummy since I filled myself up and only had enough room to taste the other items. We got the ahi lettuce wraps - yum! And the beef and veggie brochettes, which were perfectly cooked. Overall a wonderful meal and a wonderful time.

We have eaten Flatz food over the past 4 days for our conference and or room service. We had there burger with the sweet potato haystacks. SOOOOOOO good! We also had a ceasar salad and key lime pie. Both really yummy. In conference we had breakfast and I agree with Nekabue that the granola is super delish. I also liked the fluffyness of the eggs. For lunch we had Mexican food. The cheese enchiladas were so good. The chicken fajitas were awesome too with all the veggies. For dinner we had the sirlion and it was a little too pink for my liking. But the veggies were enough to fill me. The next day we had chicken salad for lunch. It was pretty good. The next day we had crispy french toast with strawberries and banana's. It was good. I've never had it that way.

For breakfast they have the best granola at this place. I'm from San Diego and it rivals The Cottage's housemade version. Bfast buffet price is worth it if your hungry. Healthy buffet (cold stuff) is $12 as of 2011 and $15 for that + the entire hot spread. I had dinner via room service and the lobster ravioli was yummy. Had 2 large pieces of lobster claw meat. Also had the Flatz salad which was good. Service is very friendly.

Good for happy hour in the bar, do not waste time trying to eat dinner in the restaurant. We had to ask for kids menus, we had to beg the waiter to take our order, then we waited an hour for very mediocre food the pasta that I ordered had half cooked crunchy garlic on it that was really rivolting. We couldn't get refills on our drinks while we waited all that time for food as our waiter disapeared. Yes it was a Saturday night but it was only our table and two other tables in the entire restaurant. If you are staying at the Hotel go somewhere else to eat!

I have frequented Flatz many times over the years and unfortunately my latest trip sealed my opinion that the quality has steadily declined. We went for a weekday lunch. This used to be a hot spot for weekday lunches due to its proximity to Interlocken biz park, so the fact we were only one of a handful of tables should have been my first clue. We ordered fish n chips and a turkey avocado club. The first problem was noticible right away. When they stated "chips", the literally meant potato chips. Well as most know chips in reference in this dish are supposed to be french fries. Oh well, the server was happy to bring us some fries. The club was terrible. I have said it before and I am sure I will again. Bread to fixin ratio has to be right. The sandwich consisted of a small pile of turkey, one small slice of tomato, one flimsy piece of romaine, one piece of bacon broken up and squished into the avocado. This all between a very large bun, at least an inch of bread on each side. The only good thing I can say about this sandwich is the avocado was fresh. Boo hiss. The fish was OK, nothing really to say about it. Flatz used to have the wonderful waffle fries, no sign of that either. Just simple thinly cut pre packaged fries. As if the food was not bad enough, when the bill arrived they had charged us for the side of fries. Just another indication of the fact this place has fallen to the level of a bad diner. Really too bad as the dining room and bar area really are well decorated and has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately just not worth it any more. :-(

My family of four, including two children, had a lovely, inexpensive Sunday brunch here, and now I cannot wait to return. The dining room(s) are very roomy -- the booths are HUGE (comfortably fit six adults), so even though there are hard surfaces the noise level remains low. The staff were attentive and accommodating but never obsequious, and any time we needed something they were easy to find -- they weren't on top of us, but they were present and fast. The views out the window are stupendous -- the Front Range, but the views inside are also lovely, as it is a beautiful space with a fascinating wood stump ceiling treatment, and fanciful lights with arms shaped like delicate branches with birds sitting on them. The overall effect is subtle -- not down the Looking Glass at all -- and feels rich. The food was beautiful and beautifully presented, and the usual suspects for a Sunday brunch: lovely assorted fruits (I made myself at home in the mango and assorted berries), yogurt, and a pretty bowl of egg salad topped with slice hardboiled eggs (oh, and a big bowl of hardboiled eggs was also in this station); lots of danishes, breads for toasting, and an artful display of the prettiest petite cupcakes, cheesecake, lots of large cookies, and other sweets. The "hot" area had a velvety, vegetarian and gluten-free cream of broccoli soup, large buttermilk biscuits w/optional sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, the longest strips of bacon I have ever seen, plump sausages (they looked British they were so full), a fancy tater tot potato (not sure what to call them but they looked like tater tots but tasted more sophisticated), a baked noodle dish with some kind of meat (I'm not sure what it was and I didn't ask as I'm vegetarian), and then an omelette station. There was also a cereal bar (which I did not approach), and then a gorgeous fish station -- again, because I'm vegetarian I'm not sure exactly what I saw, only that it looked lush and rich. I did recognize large shrimps, another kind of shellfish, oysters on the half shell, maybe a smoked fish (?), and then nibbles of cornichons, olives, nuts, brie, and grapes. We ate A LOT and what we had was all really good. One of our children is profoundly disabled, and we found everything about the brunch to be a good fit for him: he is a messy eater but with the upholstery it was fine, and with the hardwood floors that was also okay (no staining and easy to clean up). He is sensitive to certain frequencies, and I suspect that even when the restaurant is at capacity he would be fine given the design / layout and total lack of low frequency sounds (we could hear nothing from the kitchen). When he needed to move around we could let him run in the bar (which was empty), and he really, clearly enjoyed his food: I think his favorite was the salmon followed by a gorgeous egg salad, although he also appeared to be a big fan of the buttermilk biscuit (me too!). Our other child loved the danish, fruit, cornichons, and then cheesecake. I had an omelette made -- light on the egg (not a fan), and heavy on the veggies. There were various salsas nearby, so I loaded up on pico de gallo and a salsa. My husband was our hoover (of course), and also loved the shellfishes (he is Japanese!). I would suggest that on the labels in front of the hot foods they add if something is vegetarian / GF: I got lucky and met the darling chef so asked her if the soup contained animal stock, and she was a treat in telling me "no" and other things about the brunch and restaurant. The only dish I missed, or wish they'd offered, was Benedicts, because that's my "treat" breakfast food; my husband wished they'd offered waffles because he LOVES waffles. I'm being picky because everything else was so tasty, so plentiful, and so pretty. My husband is being picky because there were so many sweets offered a waffle would have been overkill. I'm looking forward to returning in the summer when we can sit on the patio to eat brunch. But as a vegetarian, as a mother of a child with Exceptional Needs whose comfort is tantamount to me, I was DELIGHTED with our Sunday brunch here, and I would (and shall) go back soon. It is clearly an accessible restaurant both in terms of wheelchair but also in terms of other kinds of issues.

Too bad the service wasn't better. Second time here. Nice atmosphere, tasty food, (albeit small portions). I had the scallops which were very tasty. Also enjoyed the Spinach and Farro salad. I took an HOUR before our salads arrived. 30 mins later the main course. After desert was finished, the check took forever too. The waiter was also unwilling to split the check. Too bad the poor service stood in the way of making this a nice evening.

Sadly I must downgrade my previous review. Been here quite a few times since and so far so good. However the last two visits have me puzzled. We decided to take a chance and head there for Sun bfast a few weeks ago. The food was AMAZING! Spent a fair amount of time chatting with one of the kitchen staff about how refreshing it was to be offered unusual menu items, trout "benedict" on jalapeno cornbread. She was glad we enjoyed our meals and we parted ways mentioning we'd be back the following week for round two. Day of round two we excitedly headed for Flatz anticipating another stellar bfast experience. We walk in and immediately we detect something is wrong as we approach the unmanned host podium. After waiting we are informed they aren't offering bfast. It's 9AM Sun morning and no bfast? We told the hostess we just ate bfast there the previous week. She directs our attention to a cold buffet of fruit and self serve cereal and acts like we're crazy when we ask about the previous weeks menu items. Whatever, we won't be back.

Great friendly staff. Super yummy ahi tacos! Overall a cut above your typical hotel fare.

Ok, so granted, it was Thanksgiving, but OMG, the service at our table was abysmal, we waited over 30 minutes between the salad and the main....the salmon was so salty it was inedible, the turkey meal was mediocre, the waiter disappeared entirely for over 45 minutes between the time we ordered, and when our meal arrived, we had to ask 3 times for the bread to be placed on the table, the waiter NEVER came bay once to ask how we were doing, we had to ask 3 times for the check (and that took another 20 minutes.) The food was horrible, everything was over salted. All this time, at the table next to us, a party of five had 3 servers, who were falling all over themselves to accommodate that table. That table had: gluten allergies, dairy allergies, dressing on the side, and countless other "special order" crap...we were regular order off the menu folks...but we got ZERO service and crappy food. Next table...they had the waiters taking pictures...lots of them...Us...we waited for our check for 30 minutes while the table next to us got their entire meal served...while we still waited. I'd give this place a ZERO...but yelp doesn't offer that option. I HATE Flatz.....unfortunately...it's in a hotel, so it won't ever go out of business....although it should. This was the WORST restaurant experience in years that I've had...and I eat out at least once a week.

I have come here a few times. I will say that it is a much nicer/higher end restaurant with great food. I came for a date night and it just made the night seem more special because of the sleek environment and high quality of food. It is fairly pricy but I think the food is prepared in a way that justifies the price. They have a Sunday brunch until 1pm which is really only a buffet, however that is way too pricy and not the same quality as their lunch/dinner menu and I don't think it is worth it. However, wonderful intimate place for a quality meal.

We live near Flatz but had yet to try it due to some of the reviews on Yelp. This morning we were up for something new so we gave it a go. Not disappointed! The restaurant is within the Renaissance Hotel. One can see the outside sitting area of the restaurant from the front of the hotel. The interior was nice. It has a comfortable feel and nothing looked outdated or unclean. This Sunday Brunch was a buffet, with a table for seafood (crab legs, shrimp, smoked salmon), a table for confectioneries (little cheesecakes, muffins, desserts), and the usual fruit table and one with covered trays of eggs, bacon, sausage and gravy, so on. We sat inside today. The booth was comfortable and quiet. If people were in the lobby area, we didn't notice them. Our waiter, Josh, was amazing and clearly enjoyed his job (or was great at not showing it!). I had a Bloody Mary which was thick and medium spiciness. My fiancé had the mimosas, how bout some orange juice for color?!? They didn't skimp on the champagne! I had some of their seafood, very tasty and fresh. We ordered some of the eggs Benedict and loved them. The little cheesecake was very good, too. Despite the negative reviews we had a wonderful experience here. The food was good and the service was very nice!

Had lunch on 7/05, ate at the bar. Very friendly bartender. Ordered the buffalo burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was a little overlooked. Sweet Potato Fries were probably some of the better fries I've ever had. Good selection of beers on tap, too. A lot of them are not your average draft beers, even for Denver.
(4)Dennis D.
Ordered the meat trio dinner which came with rabbit sausage, elk steak, buffalo steak. The food was presented well but one steak was extremely under cooked. I like rare steak just not blue. I informed a waitress of the situation she took the one steak back to kitchen and I never seen a replacement. My original waiter I seen 2x once to take order once to collect bill. In the end the waiter took off a small amount for missing steak. At this point I could have cared less just wanted to pay and leave. The other pieces of meat were just ok seasons was to light sauce was over Poweringly sweet.

My fiancé and I have been coming here for almost a year and love it. Our usual server Josh is not only fantastic but exceeds our expectations every time. The rest of the staff are fabulous as well. Kind, attentive and customer focused. They are always trying to see how to make our experience better, even when it's perfect! The food is great! We love the brunch buffet with all kinds of fresh fruits, seafood, meats and confectionary treats. We recommend Flatz to all friends, colleges, and people we meet. When you come to Flatz ask for Josh, he's the best!

This is only for Flatz lounge/Bar menu. We went to the Bar on a Friday night after a movie. They serve food until 11 pm in a nice atmosphere, not crowded, so we decided to give it a try. The menu has a decent selection of unpretentious food and the portions were generous. My cocktail was also good and I think everything was at a decent price. We were promptly served and the bartender was very professional and friendly. The food and atmosphere are not amazing, but overall the experience was very pleasant. So we'll go back considering how limited the options are in the area to get food after a movie at Flatirons (after 10 pm).

We arrived at 6 pm, 7 pm on our bio-clocks having just flown in from Nashville. The mussels were a delicious appetizer. We enjoyed the 3-local-meats plate which that night consisted of gently smoked elk, venison, and a peppery sausage, accompanied by crispy, tasty potatoes and asparagus; and the local bass offering served over a generous portion of risotto. We shared a rich chocolate gelato and a brownie a-la-mode which our waitress, Michelle, concocted to our delight. The house Cabernet was fine with the 3-meat plate although a varied wine list was also provided. Atmosphere was pleasant enough with outdoor seating available. Chris, the manager, was welcoming, helpful and humorous. We'd eat here again on future trips!

Can't beat the view and ambience. Dining room decor very cool. Nice to have a fun place to dine close to home. Since we live close by we probably would never stay in the hotel but food brings us back. We stopped in for lunch, had Buffalo Reuben and a Flatz Salad along with Grilled Artichoke. I would pass on the artichoke next time; a bit pricey for what you get. Everything was yummy!

Always enjoy it here! Great fun!
(5)Melissa B.
This place is awesome for $4 Bottomless mimosas on Sundays. The downside is they only have a brunch buffet available on Sundays ($24 per person) but you can sit in the lounge (super awesome with fire pit and the football/sports games on TV) which has a basic pub-style menu available. Last time we came was on Saturday and their menu is pretty awesome - lots of game meat dishes. This restaurant is inside of a hotel - but you can barely tell once you are inside the restaurant/lounge. Enjoy!

So my wife and I made a reservation during restaurant week. The food was average for the price but, nothing to rave about. The service was a little lacking, dinner came out too quickly after the appetizers. Then are waiter disappeared, finally another server cleared are plates and then had to wait a long time for desert to show up. The restaurant decor is nice so was the back ground music, relaxing but nothing special. I doubt I will go back
(2)John S.
Just fine for business travel when paid for by my employer. Pricey oh yeah, but it's hotel food focused on business travelers and group meetings. I had a wonderful grilled artichoke appetizer. Very we'll prepared and delicious. My entree was a Trio of local meats (venison, elk and buffalo sausage). Very we'll prepared and complimented with a Parmesan potato side and grilled asparagus.
(4)Brian B.
We went for the Sunday brunch. The breakfast food was ok, nothing special. The shrimp, crab claws and smoked salmon were fantastic. The desserts were dry and not much selection. If you love seafood then definitely go. If you just want regular breakfast food save the $$$$ and go somewhere else.
(3)Gary P.
Outstanding place with fantastic decor, fantastic service, and fantastic food. There are a lot of choices in the area but we would highly recommend this place.
(5)Adam R.
Ate here for dinner (restaurant not busy) and again for breakfast (moderately busy). Had the 3 meat dish for dinner, which was awesome, but the side was too much. Parmesan potatoes were delicious but thanksgiving-dinner-sized portion. For breakfast i ordered eggs benedict. So undercooked that the egg whites were still clear. I know you dont want to overcook eggs bennie, but to be as undercooked as they were means an inexperienced and/or careless cook. For the prices they charge and the generally high-end menu, i expected better. Anyways, the service was fine, the elk tenderloin, venison and bison sausage were great, and I'd come back for dinner. Probably not for breakfast though.

Oh Flatz, how quickly you ruined an otherwise pretty decent dining experience with what could have been so easily avoided. We stopped into Flatz tonight for dinner and as we usually do, opted to sit at the bar. This place had been on our list for awhile and we had a coupon for a free entree - so why not? The atmosphere was OK - pretty much what you'd expect for a semi-upscale hotel bar & restaurant. We were greeted promptly and offered both full dinner menus and lounge menus. I decided I wanted a glass of wine and perused the offerings - the wines on the menu were in the $8 - 12 range. That's a little bit more than I wanted to pay. I spied a bottle of Mondavi near us and realized that of course they had a house wine. I decided the house Chardonnay would be the way to go (also Mondavi). We took a look at the menus and finally decided on the salmon (me) and Monkfish (him) entrees. They were happy to accommodate his onion issues and offered suggestions for substitutions for the onion-laden sauce on his entree. The service was generally a bit slow, and the food took a little while, but it was nothing overly alarming. Both of our entrees were really very good - the salmon hit the spot, as did the brussels sprouts and the celery root and white bean puree. Yum! I was however, overly alarmed when we got the check. Turns out that the house wine (did I tell you it was Mondavi?) is also priced at $8 a glass. Seriously? 2 small to average glasses of Mondavi Chardonnay ran me $16. I guess I should never assume that the house wine will be cheaper than the wine featured on the menu, so shame on me. But what I can't get over is that they are $8 for a glass for a wine that runs about $4.99 a bottle at wine & spirits store. I paid almost twice as much as the cost of a bottle for one glass! I should add that I'm more than happy to pay $8 for a quality glass of wine. In general, I really enjoy a glass of wine - even cheap wine with my dinner. However, I do not enjoy feeling like I've just gotten ripped off. For the $16 I spent on 2 glasses of cheap wine with my dinner I could have purchased 3 entire bottles at the store on my way home. So you heard it here first - Flatz, I enjoyed your food, and would have looked forward to another visit, but based on my experience tonight, I won't be back.

Close to work, I wanted to try this as a lunch/dinner option. The menu looked decent, and I was excited to try many things. That is, until I started asking questions. As an onion hater, I found very few options. Almost every side dish and sauce was onion laden. Although, after going back and forth with the bartender and kitchen, they were able to accommodate my diet. So I give them props for trying. I chose the Herb Crusted Monkfish with pan fried potatoes, braised cabbage, but minus the shallot-bay leaf gastrique, and she chose the Grilled Salmon with white bean and celery root puree, and crispy brussel sprouts. It took almost 45 minutes for the kitchen to fire and refire my food without onions. I did not send anything back, but rather the kitchen kept messing up the order as they cooked it. It is an open kitchen, and as I patiently waited, I watched the line cooks look at each other and shrug their shoulders every few minutes as they either forgot the special order or just plain messed it up. People near us, who ordered after us, received their dishes way before us. However, I would rather that our meals be cooked correctly rather than be rushed. The end result was that my dish came out hot, but hers was luke warm. My fish did not look like the other herb crusted monkfish dishes that were served nearby. The other orders had a long single piece of fish, I had to small portions. There were no herbs to speak of on mine, but the panko crust was excellent. I would have like some seasoning. With that said, I would have given this place at least 3 stars for effort, despite the above mentioned shortcomings. However, I believe that this place deserves 2 Stars because after perusing the bar menu, we ordered drinks. She had a choice between half of a carafe of the wine that she WANTED for a listed price of $16 (for a little more than 2 glasses), but she chose the house wine (no price listed) as a less expensive option. Surprise, when the bill came, her wine was $8 per glass for a $6 bottle at the liquor store. We drink in bars A LOT, so we understand the incredible markup, but we were NOT expecting the $16 for 2 glasses of cheap wine ($8 good, $10 expected, $12 high, $16 are you kidding me??). Secondly, the Manager lurked near us in the bar. She finished her plate before me, and he cleared her plate. When clearing her plate, he asked if I was finished and I said, "No." I took a bite and leaned back, there were two more bites on my plate, and he swooshed in and took my plate and asked with my plate in his hands, "are you done?" Well, now I am. What am I supposed to say? Not really, can I have my plate back??? So, my overall impression is not good. Thank you for trying, but two errors ruined it for me. There are better places nearby that I can use for business purposes. However, if not conducting business, I would rather go 20 minutes either direction on 36 and go to much better restaurants in Boulder or Denver. For me, this place will probably only do if stuck on business travel without a car and I was staying in the hotel. Otherwise, I would recommend others to travel for better food options and better service.

Flatz Lounge Tomato Bisque melts in your mouth and warms you up on cool days. International lines with rich Colorado decor. Good staff .

For being a restaurant inside of a hotel (the Renaissance), in my experience this is a good restaurant. They offer a significantly sized nachos that can easily be shared between four people, maybe more. And the décor has a mountain-lodge feel, and they did a good job with it. The layout feels like it is a bit more than a casual dress area, but we (my wife and I) have yet to dress up much...I mean it's in the bottom floor of a hotel. Anyways, it's good enough that I would like to return...in fact I look forward to returning. They have had some neat specials in the past, wild game options the last time I was there. I like that a lot.
(4)K M.
Awesome breakfast buffet with ready made breakfast items and made to order omelets, pancakes and waffles. Yummy spread of oatmeal toppings and fruit. Really enjoyed it and although we got it free with our travel points, the $15 per person pice tag would totally be worth it.
(4)Marnie W.
Considering that the breakfast buffet was nearly $25 dollars a person, I expected at least semi-decent service and pretty good food. The food was fine(minus the soggy tater tots and limp waffle)-bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit..but I could get this at the diner up the street for $8.00 and it would be just as tasty for a third of the price. Furthermore, I probably could have overlooked the mediocre food if it wasn't for the AWFUL service. There was no one to be found at the reception desk and 4-5 people walked by us before anyone even acknowledged we were there. Once seated, our server came by to drop of the bill (we had been there maybe 15 minutes), asked if we needed refills (which we did) and didn't come back for 20+ minutes. Consequently she was also nowhere to be seen with the rest of the waitstaff so we couldn't even ask someone else for refills. What is truly baffling is the fact that there was maybe 4 other tables in the whole place and 4-5 other servers. For a $25 dollar food I expect great service food and we received the exact opposite. We definitely will not be returning.

Had brunch here on Mother's Day the food was DELICIOUS, the service was AWESOME and the ambiance was AMAZING! I will be returning soon!!!

Review for a recent brunch visit- they call it upscale brunch. It took the hostess WAY too long to figure out seating- 10 minute wait in line is unacceptable with a wide open restaurant. The service was attentive and professional during breakfast. The brunch buffet items are very focused on fresh seafood so if this is your thing, I would recommend it. Shrimp, crab claws, oysters on half shell. Artisanal cheeses were a very nice selection but no labeling- let us know what great items we are trying! I was personally very disappointed in the lack of creative selection, especially for "lunch"items (much more focus on the "br" in brunch). Pretty simple spread for the price (cereal boxes, yogurt cups, standard omelet station). That said, the vegetable soup and shrimp grits were a highlight and the only items worth noting as a standout. I could have just eaten those ordered off a menu and been very happy. $4 unlimited mimosas are also a nice add-on. Decor is absolutely stunning. If you have guests who enjoy fresh seafood and simple brunch I would recommend this as a destination.
(3)Kim L.
The Elk Burger and Mile High Burger were awesome. Had the New Belgium Brewery Fat Tire to wash the burgers down. The Key Lime pie was average. This was a room service meal so it was more $$ because of the 22% service fee. The ambiance in the restaurant is much more cozy and a better choice to enjoy the food.

I've stayed at a a lotttt of Renaissance hotels over the past few years and I was impressed by Flatz in terms of being a hotel restaurant. I sat in the lounge area which is very nice, equipped with a huge fireplace, comfortable chairs and a bar. I had the tuna lettuce wraps and the Flatz signature salad. The lettuce wraps were fresh and tastey but the lettuce was so big that I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. The Flatz salad was awesome, one of the best signature salads I've had anywhere. It had fresh raspberries and blackberries, a great homemade maple vinaigrette, and these little fried cream cheese sticks that added a yummy unique touch. I also stopped by for the breakfast one morning and was impressed with the buffet selection. It was clean and fresh and included some more inspired items such as egg nog pancakes and local made jams.
(4)Ruby K.
Food was mediocre at best. Salmon was very salty. Steak was bland. Restaurant wasn't very busy and service was slow. We had to ask about our drinks, as they still hadn't been served to us 15 minutes after ordering them. Lastly, we went to the host desk to request a shuttle. No one was at the desk. Our server was eventually the one who came to the desk. When he arrived, he asked us "table for two"? He didn't even recognize us after serving us over 1.5 hours. Once realizing his mistake, he stated "sorry, it all blends together after awhile". Would definitely go to the Meritage over Flatz. I felt like we wasted our money.

Only one star. Didn't get to eat. Showed up at 1:52. They turned us away and said they close at 2:00. Lazy staff.

Dick knows martinis and how perfect service are delivered. The bartender clearly enjoys his work because he doesn't really have to work (professional investor and famous power-lifter). Love the bar design and fireplace in the lounge. Every food item I've had the past couple of years has been excellent, truly. It's a great place to have a happy hour or three.
