I was instructed by one of our new neighbors to try this little gem out. We are so happy to see establishments like this around Colorado. I love places that have the home cooked feel to their dishes and our server Devon was amazing. The white green chili was to die for. My family and I cannot wait to go back again!

Very tasty food at an affordable price! Great little mom and pop breakfast/brunch place. Staff was welcoming and friendly and service was prompt. I had the breakfast burrito. They have a lot of choices on their menu and they all look like winners. Their coffee is good, too.

Traditional breakfast. Great service, nice friendly polite young staff. Hard to find.

We've been coming since it opened and have always had a great meal. The sisters are hitting their stride and service has noticeably improves and the food is even better. Their homemade green chili on the breakfast burrito is my favorite. My sons always get something different from pancakes to breakfast skillets. Always a happy crowd and we would recommend to anyone.

My family wanted to go out to breakfast. IHOP and Village Inn were bantered about. I remembered driving by 3 Chicks and wanted to try it out. My husband groused about going somewhere he knew and I pushed going local. Good thing I won the debate. The service was great, the food portions large, and the pancakes to die for. I am so glad we went in and this will be our breakfast spot on the rare occasions we go out for a family breakfast. My kids both had the 1+1+1, my husband the Viking omlet, and I had the breakfast burrito. It was all very good, fresh and not greasy like the chains tend to be.

Love this place! This will be our new broomfield goto breakfast place!! Great food, Dominic had amazing service really good prices! Lots of gluten free options! Good for kids!

Love 3 chicks!! We've been coming here for 2 years and have never been disappointed. Great food and a very friendly staff!!

I always have a good meal here. The "Boulder Scramble" is my favorite. Chicken and waffles is good as well. They serve alcohol too, so a mimosa is a nice touch when I'm not headed to work after.

A fun and family diner. We have gone a few times on the weekend and while there is a wait typically on Saturdays, it's worth it. Fast and friendly staff, good food and clean restaurant. Great for those that like a regular hang out that's dependable.

Great to see a new local place for breakfast. They have an interesting menu and the prices are very reasonable. Its nice to have an alternative to Denny's and iHop. My preference is to always support a local entrepreneur. Service was great but our food wasn't cooked to order my wife asked for eggs over medium and they were nearly raw and I had hash plate that was way way over cooked. I'll give them a try again hoping they are just working out some wrinkles in the kitchen

A great breakfast spot! This is my favorite place to order corned beef hash. The menu offers a great variety of dishes. They have a bar, so if a Mimosa or Bloody Mary is your thing... you're in luck. The staff is always friendly.

  • Don C.

Large variety on the menu. Everything was tasty and cheaper than most places around here. I tend to like a little spice and they are spot on. Waffles and pancakes are above average. The benedict options are nice. There is no reason to give 3 chicks less than a four.

  • M B.

Mostly positive! The Idaho Skillet is great, waffles great, burritos great!! The decor though, is so dreary. I think the atmosphere could be much better, to match the food experience.

What a fantastic exchange @ 3 Chicks!!! The food: SUPERB Service: OUTSTANDING (Dominic knows his business) Setting: Exactly what I was hoping for. Suggestion for guests...get there EARLY. only 3 tables were occupied when I arrived on a gorgeous Sat morning. Looking around later during breakfast, the wait was out the door. Had a brkfast burrito. Was likely the BEST I've had in CO. Dominic gave me a side of "white chili sauce" - incredible! The meal, was still being eaten as leftovers, 2 days later. Fantastic experience with food, ambience, and service. 3 Chicks Kitchen is a no-fail zone!

  • Trisha M.

Went here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Bronco omelette and my husband had the ultimate burrito. The potatoes they serve are some of the best, and that's a rare thing for a breakfast place! My husband loved the burrito, and couldn't choose which chili was his favorite - so he had both. The inside of the restaurant needs a little tlc and redesigning but we will definitely add this to our top 5 breakfast places.

I've read several reviews and no one says anything about the pancakes. Best I've had in a long time. I was with my daughter and wife and everyone's meal was great. Will be back again.

  • Crystal Girl S.

It's been 2 years since first coming here and we were surprised at how bad it has got. The restaurant is run down, service was way below average and food quality was poor. We were seated by the kitchen which had no door so we were able to see how dirty it was. Swinging doors would be a great idea here!!!!! I'm fact, this would be a perfect candidate for restaurant impossible! Robert Irvine could turn this place into the cute little gem it should be!!!!

  • Brian P.

Three Chicks has consistently delicious food. It can be a bit hectic on the weekends but we've never had to wait longer than 20 minutes for a table. Waitstaff is fast and friendly. I highly recommend anything with the green chili, or the chicken and waffles. Grub!

  • K z.

First time eating breakfast there. Didn't know they were still in business as the place looks dark - turn on some lights so it's bright and inviting. Cold inside- turn up the heat. Cold coffee (sitting in the carafe too long ?). Spoiled avocado on top of egg scramble. Really ?! Kitchen blasting 'slasher' music. Since most of the other patrons were middle age/senior...maybe have some jazz or easy listening

Stopped in here after finding it on Yelp and decided to give it a try. And boy did we get there at the right time. It was standing room only for the next hour that we were there. Big portions and the food was good but a bit bland. Not real exciting but we would go back Great waitstaff !

  • Matt V.

Great little classic diner with great potatoes! They have great skillets with fresh ingredients to scramble (and sour cream on top, of course), and a good helping of basic french toast as well - Oh, and did I mention the potatoes? They're delicious. The entire bill for two of us was $20 - can't beat that! Well-Worth a drive to visit 3-Chicks.

    (5)
  • Melissa H.

Solid traditional breakfast spot with the ability to get your breakfast in omelet, scramble, skillet form. The breakfast burrito is a decent option but if you enjoy your eggs mixed up with your choice of meats and vegetables then definitely choose one of the skillets. Service is friendly and they're open early on the weekends for us early risers!

  • Christine M.

Service and food was terrible. We had to get up and ask for a few things as we needed them. One time we had to get up and ask for water only to get a sarcastic "No you can not have water" from one of the servers. Im all for good humor but after being annoyed a few times it was just not funny! Other tables had to get up and ask for stuff too! Sad thing is there where only about 5 other tables during out visit.

  • Ann M.

Go here for the Breakfast burrito with Green chili and that alone!! Its amazing but so far straying from the amazing green chili has always been a mistake. Always a seat here and very friendly servers...great for a no bs breakfast spot.

Customer service was horrible this morning! We showed up and the host greeted us accordingly and sat us down. We sat at our table for 20 minutes before our waitress came. We ordered right away because we knew what kind of trouble we were getting into. We ordered coffee to drink, and she forgot to bring it to us. About 15 minutes later my brother went up to the bar and asked for coffee because we began to get impatient. When our food arrived, the waitress said "here you go" and walked away. Needless to say our food was cold and hard. I started to feel bad for the people sitting behind us because they had been there for quite a while without seeing anyone. Finally a different waitress showed up. The customer asked "are you short handed today?!" And she blamed it on the cooks, talk about crappy service. As we were getting ready to go, the waitress brought us our check, and walked away. Not once did she introduce herself, or else we would have pointed her out to the manager. It's safe to say they need to sweep out their servers and hire new ones. Won't be going back.

Awesome Breakfast Burritos. I have tried many and theirs may be the best.

  • Nicole C.

Yummmm. I ordered the corned beef hash and it was delicious. The peppers, onions and corned beef were all perfectly seasoned. With over easy eggs it is perfect! And they have wheat english muffins? Awesome! My parents go to 3 Chicks all the time. My dad loves the burritos. They're quite large burritos and the chile is good. A little different than you would find at a Mexican restaurant but definitely satisfying. I can't wait to go back with the husband to try something else.

Better than average food, average service, and below average ambiance. I had a breakfast burrito....which was huge! It was smothered in "green" chili which had decent flavor, but was more of a red chili/gravy. It had large chunks of pork and decent spice, but I have had better. The burrito was unique in that it was stuffed with bacon, ham, chorizo and they allowed me to sub steak for the chorizo (I highly recommend this). My wife had a pancake with 2 eggs and hash browns and said that it was just what you would expect. All in all, the food was good, tasted homemade, and seemed to be made with fresh and quality ingredients. Where 3 Chicks lost me a bit was in the ambiance of the restaurant. It appeared as if everything in the restaurant was just slapped together with as cheap of materials as possible and all the tables were just thrown out on a large expanse of a floor. The decor was cheap-looking and sparse and the finish work looked as if I would have done it. We sat at a table in which the top was coming off and you had to be careful not to move to much for fear that it would fall in your lap. In addition, our table and several others around seemed to be held together with scotch tape. You then had to maneuver a maze to get to the bathroom and once there, you found a toilet with a broken lid and sharp broken edges. If you are trying to be a diner...fine...be a diner and I will love it, but 3 Chicks is trying to be a Sunday brunch-type bistro without the ambiance to go along with it. Overall......good food, but a restaurant isn't just it's food. Attention to detail is important and this is where 3-Chicks loses 2 stars in my book.

  • Mike R.

It is basic food, but somehow they still seem to ALMOST get it right. How hard can it really be?

  • Tracy A.

Though the biscuits and gravy weren't what I was expecting, I did try my boyfriend's breakfast burrito and it was amazing. I'll definitely go back.

  • Amanda C.

3 chicks is a solid place to grab a quick brunch. The green chile and breakfast burritos are out of this world. They recently started stay open for dinner and got their liquor license. So you can have a bloody or mimosa with breakfast.

Sad to report this place seems to have gone down hill. A family owned place like this should COOK their own food and offer fresh, homemade ingredients! Separate yourselves from the Village Inns and Delectable Eggs, etc... We found most items to be canned or frozen or pre-packaged like the hashbrowns and potatoes, the Hollandaise sauce, and the cubed ham. All from Sisco or some other delivery company. If you cant cut and fry your own potatoes, you are no better than any other chain. We have been twice and I am not sure we will go back. The food quality isn't different from anywhere else in town and it's not that inexpensive. I would gladly pay more money for fresh, homemade cooking. The fact that they serve alcohol is a bonus but my husband and I were both disappointed with our last visit. We both had the Benny Scramble.

They now do dinners Thursday to Saturday night. The food is all quite good in the greasy spoon diner genre. The Chicken and Waffles were very filling and tasty.

I LOVE this little joint. I like the food, the prices, and the staff. Most important (I think) is that all of the food tasts home made and with fresh ingrediants. I haven't tried their dinner service yet but I look forward to it.

My wife and I have been coming to Three Chicks regularly since they opened - we love the food, the owners and staff are always friendly and everything is reasonably priced. It's the perfect breakfast spot for us. Recently they started serving dinner so we dropped in to check it out. Same great service that we've come to love and they have a tasty selection of sandwiches and burgers as well. We'll be back!

Limited, very bland menu. Food not as described. Inquired about what comes with the oatmeal and the waitress told me that she didn't know because no one had ever ordered it before. Asked what was included in the fruit, and was told something completely different than what was served. Ordered coffee cake, was served a blueberry cake. When I asked about why this was, I was told then that the coffee cake was a different flavor every day. I did not eat the cake since it wasn't actually coffee cake and I don't like blueberries, but was never offered to have it taken off of the check. It's a shame, it would be really nice to have a good breakfast place in Broomfield that's not a chain. I don't recommend eating here, it's pricey, nothing special, and the staff is pretty clueless.

We went on a Sunday and it was packed but no wait. I got a massive breakfast burrito. It had way too many potatoes but had good flavor. Way too big as I threw away over half of it. Hubby got eggs over easy with sausage and pancakes. He loved it and the pancakes were fantastic! Service wasn't amazing. She never checked on us and took a really long time to give us our check. We'd definitely go back though! Nice to have another option in Westmindter/Broomfield!

I ate here the other day and LOVE their breakfast Burrito!!! It is GIANT. They are all really nice and it was cozy in there!!

The food was good. Had the Huevos and wife had the hash. The green chili was good but not a little skimpy mostly canned refried beans, hash browns were good, and the orange juice is not squeezed as one review said somewhere but is ok. Wife liked the hash, had eggs over easy and they needed to be a little more done so maybe over medium or just let them know you don't want runny whites. We were the only ones in there and service could have been better but was not terrible. One of those deals where you were kind of interrupting their easy morning.

My husband and I tried this place on a Sunday morning, around 11:00am. They were fairly busy, but we only waited about 10 minutes. We both got coffee, which was served with a few flavors of creamers to choose from, which I thought was nice. We were both given coffee as well as a carafe left on our table to fill our own cups whenever we wanted...Definitely a plus. I ordered the "Boulder Scramble" which is egg whites, turkey, tomatoes, and green chilies. It looked a little bit unappetizing, but tasted OK. I was given a choice of toast or english muffin, and also a choice of fried potatoes, hash browns, or fruit, and got the fruit. It was just pineapple, grapes, and cantaloupe...nothing fancy, but OK. Husband got eggs benedict. He ordered his eggs medium, and they were basically still raw. Soooooo runny and slimy and gross. I would hate to see what "over easy" means here. He was hungry and didn't want to send it back, so he ate it. Now we know to always order eggs "over hard", and they MIGHT be over medium... I think our waitress said about 10 words to us the whole time. After she brought our food, she never once checked back to see if we needed anything. She even dropped off our check without saying a word. Brought back our receipt and again, said nothing...Awkward. Last thing I'll talk about...there was nobody working there over the age of about 24. We sat near the kitchen and I could see in the back, and it seemed kind of like a kitchen in a frat house...not the cleanest, but nothing that made me think I shouldn't eat there. Just a bunch of kids running the place. There didn't seem to be a back office area, so they just plopped a desk and a computer in the back corner of the eating area, and there was a lot of clutter back there. Again, like a frat boy's room or something. Overall, we decided to give the place another try, and I'll be getting the French Toast or this massive and delicious looking burrito that we saw about 8 people order while we were there. Prices are OK, but a bit high for what you get.

I was excited to see a family run business come into that space, but was sorely disappointed. My son and I went in on a Sunday morning and were seated promptly. We ordered the breakfast burrito to share..it arrived 15 minutes later. My only complaint with the burrito was that it was jam packed with potatoes..it really lacked any egg. I finally flagged down one of the servers and explained my displeasure with the lack of egg, and she said that they tend to go light on the egg. But she happily brought out a couple scrambled for me. The potatoes were tasty, and the green chili was nice, and bacon in the burrito was nice and crispy. I heard another diner complaining about her dish and they offered her a 15% discount. The atmosphere is on the cheap side and the staff were all in street clothes..I hate that! But for the price it was ok...don't know if I'll go back.

3 Chicks is a good neighborhood restaurant. It's a family run business and it shows! They make you feel like one of the family, so bringing little ones with you is no problem. I've eaten here several times and never had a bad experience like some of reviewers. The entire menu isn't too deep, but they do everything well. I was a little disappointed with the corned beef hash; it seems made with deli meat. However, their eggs Benedict and southern modification of an eggs Benedict were both very good. The breakfast burrito is very flavorful and will probably wind up as a second meal (it's large)! 3 Chicks is definitely worth a try.

You've gotta try the breakfast burrito with white chile. Absolutely rocks my world! The service is outstanding and friendly and the food is consistently delicious!

Slow service. I'd hate to see it busy. Servers don't care much for the customers. Large selection of sides, but food was just OK. I'm not going back.

    (2)
  • Ryan Q.

We ordered the breakfast burritos and they were absolutely fantastic. The burritos are huge - we were able to save the leftovers for lunch - but they didn't survive more than an hour...so delicious... I'm not sure why this place gets bad reviews, but if you read through them it seems to be mostly the atmosphere. It's a family run diner for sure - but I'll take cheap decorations and great food any day. I guess in the end it comes down to expectations. I expected friendly service and great food - and that's exactly what I got!

    (5)
  • Emily H.

Food was really good! Service was terrible! The chicks didn't seem too excited to be at work! Will not be going back! I hate to say this, but they won't be around for long!

  • Ken S.

Still got a few kinks to work out, but overall, the place is great! Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by a very friendly staff. They handed me a menu with their breakfast offerings, which are very plentiful. To my surprise, they serve Bennies! (Bennies are Eggs Benedict without the Bacon). Their staff suggested the Chicken Fried Chicken and Eggs, which I ordered to go. Although they forgot to include the english muffin, the food more than made up for it, and the portions were just fine. The gravy they used on the chicken friend chicken was a welcome change: I believe they used sage in the sawmill gravy, which made the gravy that much better. All in all, a great, welcome addition to Broomfield. We finally have a decent diner in the area! My only suggestion: larger portion of hash browns! :) Recommended!

I went for breakfast on a Saturday morning with my mom. She ordered the BLT, and hashbrowns. I had the french toast with strawberries and powdered sugar with a side of eggs. I did appreciate that the syrup was warm but I was disappointed that there wasn't more strawberries, especially since they charged me almost a dollar extra without telling me that upfront. I did see a bunch of people order the huge breakfast burrito--maybe I should have gotten that instead. All in all, it's an okay place. It's not terrible, but it's not memorable either.

  • Erin T.

The eggs benedict was very good. But the rest of the food was just okay. My primary concern was that we were waited on by one of the owners. And it seemed like she didn't want to the be there. Service wasn't horrible but it wasn't good either. We prefer to eat at non chain places but I think I would rather eat at the IHOP around the corner.

  • Joshua G.

We went there for breakfast this morning and I have to say it was Great~! The place was super busy, the staff was very friendly and the food was awesome. The place was really clean including the restrooms, and the price for three of us eating was about 26.00 bucks, that was pretty cheap if you ask me for good food. At any rate we will definitely be back!

    (5)
  • Thee J.

I don't know why people gave this such a low rating. We ate here while visiting from California. Food was great (bacon was good - not great ). All in all very good Staff was super friendly and Prices reasonable! Definitely will/would come back.

  • Itzel S.

Poor service... My husband and I were there for 15 min. And no one approached us to even pour a drink much less take our order so we decided to leave and try "the egg and I" instead. So glad we did!

It's a breakfast place. . . those that complained about decor and ambiance please remember it's not a fine dining restaurant. My family and I typically eat here a couple times a month. Service has always been great and breakfast has always been good. Their home fries are outstanding. I do have two things to criticize them on. . . The girl working as the hostess needs to act like she's has a personality. she does an acceptable job seating people, but doesn't smile or look like she wants to be there. I may be wrong, but I think she's one of the "3 Chicks". And please change your orange juice... That orange colored water (I call it SYSCO orange juice) is horrible. Please spend a little more money on a quality juice, you can pass the cost along to your customers. We'll see you next weekend, thanks for breakfast

This is your typical hole in the wall breakfast place. Not much to look at. They just opened and it use to be an Indian joint, so I'm sure they are slowly decorating. The food was good, very large portions. Typical stuff, nothing fancy. Will be back again. It's nice to have someplace really close to home to grab a bite to eat.

They have really gotten it together give them a try! The breakfast potatoes rock!

New place in the neighborhood and figured I'd give it a try. The prices are decent, portions acceptable and the food was actually quite good. Very down home style cooking, unfortunately the atmosphere was a little too down home. I sat in the back because there was a toddler playing unsupervised around the front tables. I assumed she belonged to a rude customer, but when the waitress came to drop off my menu, it was handed to me by the toddler. Ok, I understand child care is expensive, but this was totally unprofessional and I was not amused. I prefer that my server not be in diapers, that they wash their hands after crawling around on the floor, ...etc. I'm a snob like that. The waitress didn't register my displeasure because she returned to take my order with the child on her hip and actually had her deliver my butter and jelly to the table. While I ate, the child returned to playing unsupervised, coughing a lot, wiping her runny nose, touching everything in the place and occasionally screaming out for her MOMMY! As children do. Now, I should have left immediately, but it was sorta like a slow motion train wreck. Funny thing is, the waitress seemed put off that I didn't find this whole baby server in training routine delightful. I wonder how charmed a health inspector would be? I left crappy tip and vowed not to return.

Ate here on Sunday 5/17/2015 after a nice long bike ride around noon. Had a steak skillet and with recommendation from the waiter went with the hash browns on the skillet instead of the potatoes. It was good and nice spices on the steak pieces. Also opted to have the chili (regular and white) to be on the side and glad I did. The white chili is phenomenal and would suggest that on anything. The other chili was good too but the white is king. Side pancake was exactly like a pancake is supposed to be, light, fluffy and slightly sweet. For around $7 - $8 a meal it was well worth it.

Definitely hit or miss. I have been there when all the starts align and I walked out one satisfied customer. I've also been there when apparently those stars fell and knocked the sense out of everyone working there. The food is not of the 'fresh' variety and at times can be VERY bland. If you want a fresh taste then I wouldn't recommend this place but it is ok if that really isn't high on the list. The service can be absolutely dreadful or pretty good, depends. The dining experience is kind of uncomfortable and can be really chilly. The decor is pretty sad. When a couple of the stars align your experience can be pretty decent but rarely have I had an awesome experience, yet it can happen. Tip, if you like over easy you should order over medium because, if you don't, more often than not the whites will come out under cooked and runny. One big bonus is that they serve cocktails!

  • Ginger S.

Pros: Our waiter (Dominic?) was SUPER nice, I would have been very happy with him as our waiter at any restaurant. He gets all the stars. Prices were okay. Cons: Food. Mediocre at best, very Midwest "diner" food. I got a benedict. The eggs were over poached (not runny), English muffin kind of soggy. Just, Meh. The potatoes were more like tater tots, must have been deep fried. The coffee tasted like folgers and they had no real cream, which was very surprising.

    (2)
  • Dora R.

Great service, amazing food! The feel of the place is great and the severs are very knowledgeable about what choices are good picks. The bathrooms are always very clean and the wait time for the amount of people is great. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a great spot to eat!

  • Amy L.

Don't bother. Service was poor. Eggs Benedict was awful. When I complained about the fact that the eggs were hard cooked, I was met with an excuse, not an apology. Hash browns tasted left over and reheated. There was a TV playing infomercials throughout the entire experience.

For 2 people our tab came to over $30 for two people. That's a little pricy for this quality of food. Yes, it's breakfast diner food which most 12 year olds can master, yet one of my sunny side up eggs was not runny. The chicken fried chicken was moist, yet still tough and the gravy was boring. My husband said that pancakes were good and loved the coffee, but his eggs were overcooked as well. Better than Great Scott's, but wish I had gone to Cracker Barrel. It's cheaper with better quality of food. The service was good. That day, someone had a dog in a run outside large glass double doors allowing you great viewing as the dog did it's "business"....festive.

I'm a fan of midwest diners. 3 Chicks totally nails this genre. Nestled in a strip mall (I love finding these), 3 Chicks is spacious and welcoming. Old school wood laminate tables and black metal padded chairs along with cute country wall decor (coffee signs, roosters ... the whole midwest kitsch) complete the feel. There were TVs on the walls, which is not something I particularly like, but the volume was low, so they were not distracting. A good balance. I came on a Friday morning and the place was nearly empty. I was greeted with a smile and had hot coffee in a jiffy. The breakfast menu had lots of choices. Though I was tempted by a selection of benedicts (my favorite breakfast dish and often a good indicator of the skill of the kitchen team), I steered to the "House Special" breakfast burrito in the center of the menu and was not disappointed. I normally would not wax poetic about a burrito, but this was the best breakfast burrito I have EVER had. For starters, it nearly violated the rule of "never eat anything bigger than your head". This huge breakfast delight was smothered in delicious green chili. Again, some of the best I've had. Though it's easy to phone in the ingredients stuffed inside a burrito, these were clearly prepared with care. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and the potatoes were golden brown and crispy. Total bill for a huge breakfast burrito and coffee was just under $12. Great value.

Very disappointed. The one tip off was the kitchen and wait staff's sheer speed... Normally a good thing, but it's a delicate balance. We were in and out in less than twenty minutes... Literally. My Veggie Benedict wasn't prepared well. Most every element in the dish was either overcooked or off kilter in taste: my egg was medium boiled, the avocado slices were browning in several places, my tomato was cut too thin to have been grilled and the hollandaise sauce had an odd twang / flavor. My guy's dish had its own odd flavor as well. Normally, I'm not one to complain and can find the positive side of just about anything. This visit was a challenge. Our waitress was attentive and kind and, for us, it was a new place we hadn't been to before. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back. You live and learn... So there's that.

My wife and I arrived to 3 Chicks agitated because we spent 40 minutes in traffic on Wadsworth looking for Gunter Toodys only to find out it was closed for business. We searched for other breakfast spots and came across 3 Chicks, and im sure glad we did. The food was awesome, I had the Viking omelet which came with bacon, sausage and ham with a side of hash browns and toast. Everything was cooked beautifully and the portion was great for the price. My wife had the chicken and waffles which had a very good flavor to it and was nice and tender. My only complaint it the coffee isn't great and the orange juice isn't worth buying. We will be going back.
