We stopped in based on local recommendations and I would suggest a visit. It's hard to find, located just accross from First Bank under the old pharmacy building, but look a little and find it. Breck is not known for it's food, but this little place with just a couple inside tables is putting very popular sandwiches for locals. They have a nice french roll as the most popular item and I would suggest you buy one and take a seat by the river in a quiet spot they provide outdoors. We just came back from a stay in Sonoma where you get some of the best food in the world, so I can understand why folks from there might not be impressed, but this place is pretty darn good.

Great local spot right off Main street. Subs are served hot, and do not require you to break the bank.

I'm a pretty picky eater in this town and I eat out frequently. I always order the item on the menu that has the most veggies and their veggie sub is killer! Super fine shredded lettuce and peppercinis and jalepenos.... so much better than anything else I've come across in Breckenridge. I pick one up at least once a week and my boyfriend stops by a few times a week on his way home from the hill and gets the Boss or the turkey blt. LOVE!

I went to this hole in the wall place because I had been looking for parking so long I was famished and I ended up parking next to the deli. The sandwich I had (the Favorite - a turkey club sandwich with ranch) was just okay. The tortilla soup was really not good, definitely not worth the $3 I paid for a cup of it -- thank god I didn't get a bowl! The whole meal including drink was like $10. Ehh.

visiting Breck for a work function and we were told to lunch at Duggan's, It was delicious, prompt, friendly.........

I used to live in Breck. Definitely the best sandwich in town. Awesome place to grab a quick bite after a day on the slopes.

My husband and I adored this amazing (and somewhat hidden) little sandwich shop in downtown Breckenridge! The food is absolutely incredible (and my husband is a very discerning sandwich eater). The bread is so fresh, and both of our sandwiches had the perfect combinations of flavors. The owner was as sweet as she could be (and from my neck of the wood). Don't miss this little gem if you want a great sandwich at a great price!!
(5)Adam M.
Just moved here and heard from locals that this is great place to grab a sandwich. Had the meatball and it was awesome! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Sneaky place...Best sandwiches in Breck hands down! French Dip, Italian, whatever...mmmmm!

We have been craving a good Italian sub since we moved to Denver, and I'm so glad we decided to stop by Duggan's Deli while brewery hopping in the area. I don't care that this place is kind of a 'hole in the wall' spot. We've found that those are usually the hidden gems, where the focus is the food, and this place didn't disappoint. Their Italian sub won this Italian girl's heart after the very first bite. My husband and I sat at Broken Compass Brewery enjoying a beer flight and totally foodie nerding out eating these sandwiches. I only wish it wasn't an hour and a half drive to get another -- We will definitely be back next time we come to town!

Might've been the best sandwich I've ever eaten! It took a looooonnnng time to get the sandwich (we later found out the owner and other regular employees were out that day and they had back ups filling in), but it was worth the wait!!! I wish we ate here for every meal but we were only in town for a few days and we had to experience more to Breck than just Duggan's! Hopefully we make it back out to Breck and I can wrap my mouth around another one of these delicious sandwiches!

Called in an order for pick up and as I walked in they were bagging up the sandwiches. Better to eat at home or outside or in the car as the inside is super small and dinghy. It was a solid three stars. The subs had that super dense bread which no one in our party liked but were packed with plenty of lunchmeat and fixins'. The reuben was actually very good and the best of the four sammies. We asked for the subs toasted and they weren't...I think...couldn't tell if they ran then through the toaster or not. They were kinda crispy though or was the bread a little stale. Would go here again. Anything is better than Subway. There are couple other sandwich shops in the Main street area that I'd like to try.

Been living in summit county for about a year now and today is the first time I've tried one of their sandwiches. I got the French dip and it was delicious. Just a heads up though if you don't know where it is don't GPS it bc maps will take you to the wrong address. If your coming into breck gps will take you up ski hill rd toward the mountain you actually have to go the opposite way towards town

I was with my coworker today and we decided to swing by here for lunch since he's been meaning to try it out since he moved to Breckenridge. I ordered "The Favorite" and he got "The Boss". We both enjoyed our sandwiches very much! The guys who were working today were also very nice... and we didn't have to wait long for our delicious sandwiches. I will definitely be back soon!
(5)Eric W.
Amazing sandwich from a "hole in the wall" style deli. Yes, they could stand to fix up the place a bit, but the people working were really cool. Get the hot pastrami with mustard!
(4)Levani K.
This is my spot. Definitely a hole in the wall, which I love about it. True definition of you have good product and service, not too much else matters. My go-tos are the Classic Italian and the Dooley. Very delicious, no matter what you get. True New York style subs. From the thin shredded lettuce and onions, to the freshest, crispy & at the same time, soft bread, to the nice, well portioned sliced meats. You really cant go wrong. If you're in Breck, you can't miss this place.
(5)Tucker E.
If I could give this place a 6 star I would. The Italian was probably the best I've ever had. Everything was chopped finely so I didn't get a big bite of onions or other ingredient, it was melded together perfectly.
(5)Adam D.
Another great sandwich it had been 5 years since my last time here (use to be a semi-reg), glad to see this place still delivers! Got the Italian - definitely the best one out there. I kinda sorta agree about the hygiene comments below, but that's why I get my ish toasted, son! No, for real they thin slice those meats right in front of you, good bread, they take their time...all the makings for a great sandwich at this "underground" joint.
(4)Alex S.
I always make sure to get a sandwich here when I am in Breckenridge. The staff is always friendly and the food is great. They will customize your sandwich any way you like it and the ingredients they use are always fresh. It truly is a hidden gem like the other reviews say.
(5)Grant H.
Best deli sandwiches in Breckenridge ! Go every year and they just get better. Great price great food. A little hard to find in basement under ski/snowboard shop But worth
(5)Meredith G.
I finally checked out Duggan's recently and have been kicking myself for not trying it sooner. Great sandwich options and pricing. After a morning on the slopes my friend and I went in, got 2 different sandwiches and then split them so we'd each have 2 kinds for the ride home.
(4)Bill P.
Food was great! Service was friendly. We had: meatball, pastrami, Italian, beef dip, blackened turkey, grilled ham & cheese, and a hot dog. If you like east coast deli with fresh bread and meats, this is a MUST stop!
(5)Corin B.
This place is the bomb. Strictly no-frills. Don't go there expecting a refined/sophisticated dining experience in Breck, just AMAZING & DELICIOUS sandwiches. That's it. I had the Pastrami on a French bread roll and I haven't had many sandwiches as tasty as this one was. The pastrami was perfectly cooked - perfect blend b/t flakey & fatty. The French bread was fresh & soft on the inside and perfectly toasted on the outside. That sandwich put me into a two hour-long refractory period! And the two guys behind the counter, who helped me, were all business. Love those guys. Wish I remembered their names but I couldn't try the sandwich before I was long gone. Go here.
(5)Ryan P.
Awesome sandwiches, got 3 of them to go to bring back to the rental condo. Wife got the 'favorite' which she said was awesome, I got the French dip (very tasty) and my sister got the 'veggie' and said it was also very tasty and packed. I thought it was funny that every person that finished eating and was leaving told the employee behind the counter, "Awesome sandwich!"
(5)David W.
This place is all about the food (which I love). Total hole in the wall - more like basement cellar - but deli sandwiches on par with something you'd get in Manhattan
(5)Bob R.
Stopped in for a quick sandwich about an hour before they closed for a couple of weeks. Excellent service and sandwiches. French Dip was out of this world. In my opinion, the bread makes a sandwich, and this bread was out of this world.
(5)Don A.
This place is awesome! Hidden gem off the beaten path where the locals go :) Ordered the meatball parm and my wife had the "the favorite" both we're deliciouso! Perfectly toasted French bread with great flavors! We had the pleasure of speaking with the two brothers who run the joint and found them both to be friendly as could be. Great to see a small local biz being ran the right way with major focus on the food. Thanks for great sandy guys!! Will be back for sure!
(5)Lacy L.
Huge sandwiches. Great variety. NY Deli-esque: in a basement, no frills. Def a hole in the wall gem. I got the Nola: turkey, salami, finely shredded lettuce, onion, tomato. I subbed some garlic aioli on instead of mayo/mustard. The bread is fantastic. My BF got the meatball sub- it was awesssssome. It was busy over lunch with locals, ski bums, families, couples. Didn't wait too long at all.
(5)Luke R.
Judging from all the other reviews, it probably isn't necessary to write one, but I'm going to anyways. I have a hard time getting lunch anywhere else in Breck, these sandwiches are some of the best, and the staff does a great job getting them made in a timely fashion. Get the Boss or the Italian, they'll blow yer mind.
(5)Chad S.
Ok. So here you go... This is possibly the best sandwich on the planet. Period. Don't be fooled by the basement atmosphere or the dirty tables. This place has great food. My wife and I had diff hoagies and they were both great. I am a sandwich connoisseur and this place kicks ass.
(5)Terry E.
The locals know what's good. Excellent food at a reasonable price. Focus on the tastebuds, not the decor. The doggie bag supplies for the extra food was much appreciated.

After a long day hanging out in Breckenridge we were ready for some yummy food. We asked a guy working the gondola where he really enjoyed eating. He said hands down Duggan's Deli. We ordered ham sandwiches for the kids, and hot pastramis. The sandwiches were HUGE with plenty of meat and cheese. It was super yummy and we all ended up eating every last bite! We will be back for sure!
(5)Scott B.
Came here seeing all these great recommendations. Ordered 4 sandwiches for my family. When we got there, 1 guy was working, answering phone calls, handling the register and making sandwiches. Not once did he wash his hands. After he started making our sandwiches, another employee came out of the bathroom after we had been there for 10 minutes and he looked like he had just gotten out of bed. Straight from the bathroom he then started adding the veggies to our sandwiches and kept putting his hands in his hair and scratching his nose then right back to making our sandwiches. Another female employee then came in and threw her jacket up on the counter next to the sandwiches. NOT 1 employee there ever washed their hands or wore sanitary plastic gloves. After our sandwiches were made we left and had to just throw them away. Who knows what ended up in those sandwiches. Total waste of money and food. My eight year old daughter was jaw dropped watching them make the food and my wife was shaking her head the entire time. DO NOT go here!

I love lunch. Duggan's Deli is a very good spot just off main street in the center of town. On a busy day you can expect to wait 15 minutes or so for your sandwich but it's always worth it. The owners use Boar's head meat and the freshest bread that has locals wondering where it comes from. When it's a nice day out we take our sandwiches and eat them next to the blue river. I generally get the 'favorite' which is ovengold turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and a light amount of ranch dressing. Go try it - it's great. When I was held up at home a year ago due to a ski injury my favorite food moments were my girlfriend coming home with a Duggan's sub for me. Back then I was eating the French Dip. I don't understand how they get the meat that tender and juicy. Total comfort food. I have tried almost every sub on the menu, and they all standout for different reasons. Bottom line - you will not be dissapointed or regret eating a giant Duggan's sub for lunch. Get away from that nasty Subway on the North end of town and try this.
(4)Andy L.
No ambiance just a great sub, fast. I had the "40 Watt."
(5)Chad S.
You want a bomb @$$ sandwich? Look no further. I'm from Boston and we take our sandwiches serious and this place is no joke. Get the 40 watt or the Nola.
(5)Ashleigh W.
Not exactly friendly, not exactly quick (they had to have someone bring sprouts got my wrap...no heads up either...just sat there waiting wondering how long can it possibly take to make a wrap when I'm the only person here?); but over all a satisfactory sandwich.
(3)Erin T.
Best sandwiches in Breck, hands down. They use all Boar's Head meat, and anything with the house made garlic aioli is extra tasty. Sandwiches are stuffed and big enough to split, and we usually get the boss with roasted red peppers & a side of au jus for dipping. Just thinking about it makes me want one immediately!
