mmmmmm! where else in breck can you get warm brie and tuna tar tar in the same bite with heaping bar nachos? oh, and pretty good house brews, too. if you're in the area, give it a go! (and monday nights ladies drink for $1 after 10pm.)

Amazing lunch special. Ask for the workers lunch...burger, fries, and drink for $6.00. Best lunch deal in summit.

  • Sara L.

LOVED the ribs and sweet potato fries! This was my favorite meal while staying in Breck.

    (5)
  • Chris M.

Food was a bit pricey. Buffalo wings were tasty though. Happy hour pitchers of beer for $6 and a kind waitress made for a fun experience.

This place has the best beer, but the food is quite lackluster. I'd rather go over to Kenosha for the same beer, and better food.

I've been here twice now, on two seperate ski vacations. The food is good (but not great) with large portions. The place has a good atmosphere and pretty good service. There has been a wait both times I've been. When I went last night it was about a 30 minute wait. As the name may suggest, this place brews there own beer, and most of it is tasty. Just stay away from the vanilla porter.

Staff was short and rude. We had a group of 10, half were young kids. We called ahead- no reservations but come before 6p and we'll be sure to fit you in. We arrived at 530, and at first they said we were in luck because there was a large table available. But, my cousin had dropped us off at the door (remember, we had lots of kids), and had to find a place to park. They wouldn't seat us until he came in also. 5 min later, he found a spot and was in. Sorry, that table is gone now, so you'll have to wait about 30 min. No sympathy, no accommodation. "yeah, parking sucks in Breck" was the only sympathetic comment we got They saw 9 of the ten of us standing there waiting with small kids and they gave our table away to someone else who arrived after us. So, we can't comment on the food or the beer. We left out of principle and went down to bubba Gumps where they were happy to hold a table for us while we walked down. Again, just a rude bunch of conceited jerks at the Breck Brewery.

Food pretty average. Mahi good. Onion rings could be very good, but there's very little onion inside. Black bean soup tasty but served tepid-soup should be so hot it can burn your mouth if you're not careful-serve it hot and let the eater decide when to eat it. Way too much on the menu for them to do much right.

In 1986 I was skiing in what was, at the time, out of bounds terrain on Peak 7. One week after skiing the bowls of Peak 7 a large avalanche claimed the lives of 4 people on the exact same slopes and I had one of my first philosophical insights into the fragility and joy of life. In the mid-90's, Breckenridge Brewery started and its best known beer, Avalanche, hit the market. Maybe its sentimentality or the psychological tie that always brings me back, but at the end of long day carving the slopes nothing is more satisfying than basking in the glow of a fantastic day, celebrating, remembering, and pondering the beauty and fragility of life over an Avalanche. Break brewery rocks!! 5$ pitchers of agave wheat!! Yummy! Good beer and good food, service is mediocre if youre not a local

    (2)
  • D D.

Ehhh, expected it to be better. The food was nothing special ... basic bar food style. Not a great place for dinner. Great brew selection though and enjoyed the glass of avalanche!!

    (2)
  • Michael G.

Excellent beer. Great fun, almost raucous atmosphere. Food pretty darn good, not perfect but this place had warm tasty fresh food and great beer after a long day of skiing. Just the place. If I hit a place twice on a week long ski trip that is a testament that it was pretty darn good.

  • AJ S.

I love this place for the beers. The food is your typical greasy bar food and appetizers that are just so-so, but the good beer makes it all go down better.

    (4)
  • Russell M.

Chicken fingers and edamame. Probably not the standard combination here, but that's MY standard. And funny enough, the couple times I've been here, the person I'm with has always gotten the Loaded Brew Fries too (which will just make you sick). I like it here and if I want to sit down before heading home or at the end of a night, this is a great place to hang.

    (4)
  • Brian R.

Great place for some après ski food and beer. Pretty average pub food, but a nice big burger hits the spot after a day on the slopes. If you enjoy some good microbrews and can enjoy something other than a lawnmower beer, you will enjoy these relatively inexpensive beers. Vanilla porter is excellent for you beer enthusiasts. Worst part: the wait, but who really cares? After all it is a destination resort town. Best part: you can get growlers and 6-packs to go! And the 6-packs are cheaper than your local beer shop.

    (4)
  • Rob T.

Avalanche amber is tasty. Service is friendly. Everything else is standard slightly-overpriced but decently-tasting resort fare: ribs, fries, fish and chips.

    (3)
  • Del A.

The wait- long. The food- average. The beer- very good. The service- terrible. It's a fun place to hang out for a beer and some apps, but not worth it for dinner. I say service is terrible because I have never been treated so rudely by a host in my entire life as I was last winter. Other then stopping to buy a growler to go, we have not, nor likely will not be back for a meal.

    (2)
  • Tom S.

FOr the price this is a definate worth while stop. Portions where large and very reasonably priced! brews were very good, service was fast and very freindly!

  • Stuart W.

OK, I really wanted to like this place, it was recommended by an associate. I had a pale ale and it was very good. However, the food was SO BAD that I couldn't give it a better rating. The salsa was the absolute worst I've EVER had. It was like tomatoes from a can dumped into a bowl with no regard for texture or flavor. I'm telling you, it was THE WORST EVER in my 59 years. I also had the green chili: it was awful and boring. The signature beer here, The Avalanche, was bland and boring too. Should you try this place out? Why not? Have a couple beers and decide for yourself. But do NOT eat here. Too many other good restaurants in town...

  • Skojo B.

Like other Yelpers have said, great happy hour deals. Went for dinner after missing happy hour and had a great fish and chips; slaw was OK. Friend had penne pesto which was good. I thought the food was very good, the beers excellent, and would have no problem returning.

    (4)
  • Robert H.

Reliable brewpub food; been around a long time

Just what you hope for in a local microbrewery. Wide food selection and try the Avalanche brew!

  • laura a.

Ladies night Monday. Yep, that's right- free beer all night. And gents, it only costs you a dollar, so you can still buy the lady a drink. Try the chocolate stout. And they sell really cool Breck Brewery biking jerseys.

  • jamie P.

No complaints here, happy hour every day after the mountain. Great seasonal beer selection, good apps and the burgers are pretty tasty. People are nice and wait isn't bad as long as you don't come durin crazy peak tourist time. Well done.

  • Jeremy K.

Some satisfying bar food is just what I needed after a long day at 12K feet. Had some wings and a Buff-A-Loaf chased down by a tasty Belgium Ale. All around, pretty great though some of my party had some disappointing entrees.

    (4)
  • David K.

Good variety of beers, on tap, brewed on the premises. Decent pub food. Vast (for Breckenridge) and gets very busy - they're clearly doing something right. Which is why I keep going back.

  • G. L.

I've been to Breckenridge Brewery twice now and while it's a fine place, I've definitely seen better. The restaurant is mediocre and service is slow. Last time we were there every beer we received was warm (even when served directly from the bar). I actually like several of their beers but didn't get good service either time I've visited.

I definitely had the urge to join the group of locals at the bar that were congregated together...in all their casual and flannel glory. However, I opted for a booth near a window instead, and enjoyed a fun meal. I liked this place when I walked in, it seemed very welcoming and had a lot of open space with a personal touch. We were seated immediately and our waitress was really cool; very friendly and joking around with us the entire time. I got the Boca burger which was not good, but that's because I forgot how much I dislike Boca burgers. They are not nearly as delicious as veggie or black bean burgers...nothing worse than faux meat flavor. However, my boyfriend got this cheeseburger with bacon and blue cheese that was SO good, even though it might have clogged an artery. He got regular fries and I got the sweet potato, yet I ate both of them without hesitation. I am usually a huge sweet potato fries kind of girl, but these were too thin so I ended up finishing off the regular kind instead. He also ordered a few of their in house beers that he said were pretty good (he is a beer snob, so that says a lot). And I was very happy with my iced tea which I drink by the gallon. The finale of this meal was phenomenal. I was feeling less than satisfied from the 1/2 boca burger I ate and needed something that was really going to seal the deal...and then we ordered the triple chunk brownie a la mode. Sweet Jesus, this thing was amazing. I wish I had ordered that and a side of french fries for my meal because that's really what made me happy. I would definitely try this place again if I'm in town, the service was great, other menu items look delicious, and I eventually want to be "in" with the regulars.

  • Bruce R.

Food was excellent. At my table we had ribs, chops and the chicken burrito. All were very Good. Agave wheat nice and refreshing, vanilla porter good but flavor overwhelmed taste of food.

    (4)
  • C M.

I had been really excited about trying this place even though I'm not a beer drinker. The food at breweries tends to be really good; the same craft they apply to the beer is often applied to the food. That was not the case here. Started with the ahi tuna app and the shrimp and scallop gumbo. Tuna was atrocious, texture was terrible and flavor was meh. Gumbo was just plain nasty. I had the buffalo burger with provolone, sauteed mushrooms and onions with sweet potato fries and my meal was completely blah. Every component lacked flavor. My dining companion had the fish and chips, the tartar sauce had this off taste to it and both the fish and fries were bland. The cole slaw was the highlight of the meal for me. My cats loved the fish this afternoon for a snack, so at least it wasn't wasted. Service was quick and friendly.

Great Food & Better Beer. The seasonal nut brown and the avalanche hold their own against any microbrewery. The food is killer on all levels !! A must go when visiting.

  • Jason R.

If you like beer and food (let's face it, who doesn't?), visit this place when in Breckenridge! We took the whole family for dinner and happened to hit the end of happy hour. The beer was fantastic, especially the vanilla porter; and everyone enjoyed their meals. Best of all, a total of 6 people were complete

    (5)
  • Terri G.

Suzanne and Dave, great bartenders !!!

  • Kelley W.

You can't go wrong with the Happy Hour here! $2 pints and $6 pitchers. The lunch menu is reasonable, and the dinner menu is, well, what you would expect at a tourist destination - a little on the expensive side. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The bartenders were especially helpful. For a multi-level brewery and restaurant, I was surprised to see that they only had two stalls in the women's restroom. As for beers, we especially liked Breck the Halls and the Agave Wheat. Parking near the brewery is hard to come by, so I recommend using the free Breckenridge Shuttle.

  • Josh M.

Great food, great beer, staff not so much. Our waitress didn't smile once, very cold rude person. I would still go back again. Highly recommend their Avalanche brew!

  • Roger B.

Good Food! Breckenridge Burger with added avocado and onion rings onto the burger was very good. The Vanilla Porter was very good. I went with several friends and we ordered different stuff. All was very good. The next time I'm in Breckenridge, I will definitely be going back to this place. Very good food and beer.

    (4)
  • Ashley P.

The brewery had big portions of pretty standard fare and good beer. Although we had a fairly large party, they would not take reservations or a call ahead, so we had to wait awhile while they set up our table. The service was certainly laid back. I'd go back next time I'm in Breck, but it's certainly not the greatest brew pub I've ever been too.

    (3)
  • Gillian R.

If you're looking for great beer, this isn't the place. The beer is mediocre at best. I'm never excited to drink it. The other breweries in the state are much better, including the Dillon Dam Brewery about 20 minutes away.

    (3)
  • Luis C.

Great brewery that always has a young and lively crowd. My favorite beer was their IPA.

    (4)
  • Chris B.

    Good beer...great soup

  • Sean C.

This place sucks. I brew better beer than this at home. The only things worse than the buffalo burger (which looked like something punched out of a sheet of meat on the McDonald's patty line) were the waiter and the Agave Wheat (which had less flavor than tap water). Save your time and money.

I love the Breckenridge BBQ in Denver and the Ballpark Brewery by Coors Field, but this location missed the mark. First of all, the service is poor. Our waitress was fairly rude and inattentive. When she finally came by to take our order, it went like this: Waitress: What can I get you to drink? Me: We'll go with a pitcher of Agave Wheat Waitress: Ok... food? Me: (Caught off guard)... um, yes, let's go with... (order) Just not a very good waitress at all. Slow, inattentive. When the meal was over, she dropped the check off by dropping it on the table like she couldn't wait to get us out of the seat. As far as the food goes... I ordered the bbq ribs which were not barbecued, but actually just put in the oven instead. Although the meat was very tender, it was just not flavorful at all. They slapped the bbq sauce on top when they put the ribs on the plate, from my best guess. It's such a shame this location isn't good because the other two in Denver never failed to disappoint. Long story short, if you're in Breckenridge for any reason, don't go here. There are plenty of other restaurants along Main St. that are much better and offer far better service.

  • Kendall A.

Fine dining it is not. However, it is very good food and a cool atmosphere. The nacho's were excellent and my wife and I could not finish them all. My BBQ chicken was very good. It was a little noisy but not too bad. All in all, it was good food at a reasonable price.

recommended by a Colorodian co-worker. I am so glad because there is nothing else 'crackin' in the small yet cool town called Breckenridge! this is the spot where everyone goes... not that diverse but still a cool spot!

On my whirlwind trip through Breckenridge this past weekend, I popped into the Breckenridge Brewery with about 25 - 30 people for dinner and drinks. With a party that size, someone had obviously called ahead and we were accommodated easily in the back of the restaurant. I had the vanilla porter which was pretty kickass as far as beers go. The service was also good, cheerfully allowing me to sample a taste of the brew before committing to a pint. Unfortunately, the brewery falls short of 5 stars due to the food. My burger wasn't bad, but it wasn't as awesome as it had been described to me. This may be because I live in a city with some of the most awesome burger joints in the world. Or it could be because the burger was just ground beef... no seasoning in the meat at all that I could taste. Like I said, not bad... but definitely not 5 stars. If I'm ever back in Breckenridge I will totally come for the beers and maybe even some wings. Next time though, I'm skip the burger.

    (4)
  • Casey W.

The beer is bland and came in a dirty glass. We waited 45 minutes before our waitress told us that the order got lost and we would have to order again. Grand total of one hour and fifteen minutes before we had our food. My reuben was super chewy and came with cold mashers. The manager did give us free beers and a discount since the service was so poor. Could have just been a bad day for them.

    (1)
  • Sara H.

They have 4 "staple" beers listed on the menu & they were out of one (the golden ale)--seemed a little odd for a brewery to be out of one of the 4 regular beers. I did have an IPA & it was great. Garlic parmesan wings were definitely more buffalo than garlic or parmesan. And when we asked for another round of beers, she brought us our check. Normally I would chalk it up to noise, but we were seated at a table with empty tables on both sides...... I would go back for a beer, but not sure I would sit down for apps or dinner.

Did not have an enjoyable evening here. I found the service to be slow and inattentive. The food menu and execution ranged from poor to average in what I tasted. I ordered the Bison Sirloin which I was excited to try, given that it's rare to see Bison listed on a menu where I'm from, and hey, it's Colorado, that's like a specialty here right? Anyways, I ordered it medium rare and it came out with only a tiny bit of pink in the middle. Pretty sure that is Medium-well to Well-done depending on who you ask, but it certainly wasn't close to medium rare. The result was obvious, it was really dry, bland, and just plain bad. I didn't even bother complaining because I didn't want to hold up our party and given the wait times leading up to that point, I assumed it would be quite a bit longer. I know that bison is a much leaner meat and cooks quicker than beef, but I'm guessing the chef did not. To drink I had the Vanilla Porter which was tasty, but lacked the fresh taste that you usually get from a brewery.

Must do if in the mountains! The food is fairly typical bar/brewery fare. The beers are outstanding. We had some of each one. We were there during college spring break so we channeled out inner partier and played quarters with the sample tray!! HA! The waitress didn't even blink. She told us this wasn't unusual. Food - B- Beer - A+ Atmosphere - A

Great beer, great food, nice people/atmosphere, and best of all freaking awesome price. You can't really ask for more from a lunch than this place delivered.

  • Tom J.

We went on a Wednesday night and it busy, but not packed. We got seated right away and the server showed up pretty quick. She was pleasant and quickly delivered our flight of beers. We had the fried jalapeños and the edamame hummus for appetizers. They were both good. For the main dishes, we had black bean burger with avocado and roasted red pepper and the greek salad with chicken added. We felt it was plenty of food and it tasted good. They did not skimp on the salad at all and the bacon was actually prosciutto which I did not complain about of course. Service was quick and prompt. Overall, great place to eat and drink in Breckenridge, especially after the huge disappointment we had last night eating at Angel's Hollow.

  • John J.

Go for the local micro-beers. The variety and selection of beers is very good. The food is OK.

    (3)
  • Ryan W.

The food was ok at best. The beer selection was far less variety than I would expect at a Brewery. But the worst part is that they force all customers to pay a 20% gratuity (without permission and without telling you) for daring to ask for a split check. When the force all customers to pay a high gratuity, there is no incentive for good service.

    (1)
  • Travis D.

Went here for beers and appetizers after an afternoon of skiing in near zero temperatures just after Christmas. I had the oatmeal porter and the agave wheat (?) beers, which i know are completely different, but everyone at our table was just kind of passing stuff around. For the apps we got an artichoke dip that was awesome, some chili (that was just what i needed after a day out in the cold), some mozzarella sticks, a few other things. Service was friendly. Wish we found out how awesome it was on our first day in Breck instead of our last.

    (4)
  • Melody T.

The place is right down the street from the resort (not walkable, but a few mins to drive) and they do $6 pitchers of beer and 50% off all appetizers except the nachos. Fun atmosphere, delicious appetizers (especially the artichoke dip and the onion ring!!) and what could be better than all that fatty delicious food after a full day of boarding? Would definitely recommend.

Great place to grab a beer and good pub meal in Breck. Good atmosphere both inside and on the patio. I've had good service each time I have been here, and the place is one of the better places for a larger group.

    (4)
  • Bob C.

Good beers, my wife had the buffalo burger and said it was really good. I had grilled chicken sandwich las Vegas style, very good. Cool place and good service.

    (4)
  • Sarah J.

Best place to eat in Breck! Order the Chicken Nachos as an app...they are huge and great for the price! Prices are fantastic for a ski resort town. Service is amazing as well. Over all one of my fav places in CO

    (5)
  • Nick G.

Love it, love it, love it. Great setting in beautiful Breckenridge. The beers were fantastic, as we tried about 7 different brews. I had the Breckenridge Burrito and it was huge! Great chicken as it was cooked to perfecton. We all loved our food, and look forward to our next visit.

    (4)
  • Jones T.

Pretty standard brewery. Onion rings, shrimps, artichoke dip, hot wings. Decent, not great food. 20% gratuity tacked on? Mmm, not so good. Parking can be a bit tough.

    (3)
  • Ben C.

Great beer. Try the avalanche! Heavy loves his SandVICH! The pull pork sandwich is delicious and only 8 bucks which is cheap for a resort town. The burger is piled high with toppings (i think it was the buffalo burger). Great mash potatoes and sweet potato fries. Only draw back was the fact they never refilled our cokes, maybe they wanted us to buy more beer?

    (4)
  • Karyn K.

It was a quick walk from our condo, which made our dinner here very appealing. The table ordered the ribs with fries, the Sunday prime rib special with coleslaw and a Blue River burger with mashed potatoes. Our vote is that you order a burger (it was a good burger, cooked exactly the way I asked)... with either fries or coleslaw. Had one of their beers and it was pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. If you get a bottle of wine, keep the cork and you can take it to go.

    (3)
  • jimmy s.

Quite a long wait, but at least the beer is decent. Some dishes are fairly priced but some of it was a little over-priced. My turkey plate was a ton of food for under $10 and it was decent. The steak looked ok and was cooked properly, but I was told it had zero flavor. Not bad, and a popular drinking spot, but I'm not eager to go back.

    (3)
  • Bianca K.

The breckenridge brewery is a nice casual pub on main street. Just be ready for a wait during the ski season. The burgers are mouthwatering and the beer is cold and refreshing. What ever you do dont leave without trying the artichoke dip!!

    (4)
  • Brandon B.

Food was fine, but the beer was great.

    (3)
  • Jody C.

I was in town and went to lunch here with a friend. For their lunch special, I got a chicken burrito and vanilla porter for $6- and it was delicious!!! What a steal. The bartender was semi-friendly but everything else was so great, including my company, that it didn't really matter. Definitely will be back next time I visit!!!

    (5)
  • Kae L.

Not half bad a place, if you ask me. According to the folks, the beer is pretty good, and they've got some great onion rings. The menu isn't the most unique in the world, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, as the food they make is great. They grill chicken like grilled chicken should be grilled, so I'm a fan.

    (4)
  • Roy W.

Long wait but expected because of the date. Well worth it. Great local beers. Food was good and plentiful for the money. Great sports bar if you sit in the right area

I am an idiot. The first day on the mountain I lose my ID. On mid-slope, I'm sure. I do not look the 27 years that I am. Everyone cards me. Except for Breckenridge Brewery. Thank freakin' god. That place saved my sanity, because there is nothing like having a beer during a gorgeous night after skiing. Especially when you are in a group with 6 other people that all have their IDs. The service was great and the beers were mighty tasty. The food, for the most part, was good. A few items that some other people got were either bland or salty, but we were all happy. And the people! Every person that I met in there was so friendly! I don't know if the beer was made w/ happy pills or what, but it was great.

Nothing to write home about. We when here because it had enough variety for our party of 5. Everyone liked their food but was not overwhelmed. Good atmosphere to have a beer after snow boarding.

  • Ting S.

Great place to go after a day on the mountain, it's especially rewarding to be served a vodka tonic in a pint glass here! Also tried the Avalanche Amber, which was a lot like PBR without the bite. The chicken fingers looked very pre-packaged, fries were good medium-sized ones, and the fried cod in the fish and chips platter had a good crunchy batter, but perhaps a little overwhelming the way it dwarfed the fish. Nice tv's over the bar can be seen from some of the tables upstairs, if you need to keep an eye on the game. Very friendly table service.

    (3)
  • Jamie A.

Good beer, bad food. The fish & chips were so greasy it made us not feel well. Wait was 1.5 hours and they just kept packing the bar where people were trying to wait for tables. Best deal was "the growler"-a take home jug if our favorite Avalanche beer.

For our first night in Breckenridge we thought we'd try the brewery. It was busy and the hostess barely acknowledged our existence. When we were taken to our table, the menus were tossed down and she walked off. Not a word. Could you say attitude? Normally, that would have deterred us, because an unhappy staff is not a good sign. But, things changed when the waitperson showed up within minutes and had a cheery attitude. She even brought Ben's cheeseburger to him quickly, because he was starting his cranky 3yr old routine by this time. He loved the cheeseburger! We blinked and it was gone. He happily ate his fries while we finished our dinner. I got the BBQ ribs, which were so tender they fell right off the bone. I had been planning on eating half and saving the rest for a midnight snack. Fail. My hubs got a veggie & cream cheese grilled thing. He liked it and said he would order it again if the altitude wasn't such a bother on his tummy. He got the mashers instead of fries and thought they were keen, too. It was an average place. Good food. Good beer. Noisy and busy. But, not tremendous, by any stretch. I recommend it for a casual dinner with friends to watch the sports on t.v.

Very solid dinner option in Breckenridge. A huge wait to be seated, but then again, it was MLK weekend. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. One of the best I ever had. Minus one star, because the beer sucked. I ordered a Pale Ale that tasted like a Belgian White. Not even a hint of hops. Worth a visit.

    (3)
  • L H.

Always busy and loud. GREAT burgers. Only place in Breck that cooks a medium-rare burger correctly. Staff is ok. Not super friendly or attentive, but get the job done. You can tell they wish their shift was over. Great for kids because it is so loud. But again, best burgers in town. I give the cooks 5 stars, the staff 2.

  • Elaine E.

I ordered the sampler, so I got to try everything. I highly recommend it. The vanilla porter was an excellent porter but a bit much for me. We got a great (and quick tour) by the brew master, who was really passionate about his trade. Fun and laid back staff. Didn't try the food but the nachos have been highly recommended to me.

the beers were super tasty. and cheap. and i always appreciate positive and upbeat bartenders. long wait, but the food was pretty good. i only had a bowl of soup and the portabello sandwich could have been better for the price. good atmosphere though. who can complain about brewpubs at cheap prices?

Ribs were great (I got the dry run with sauce on the side and used the sauce liberally), trout was also very good (it was a red trout, very similar to salmon), staff was friendly and attentive, great music playing (Phish and Karl Denson). We tried the beer sampler and had 10 different kinds that are brewed on site. Not snobby at all, and a good vibe. Some review posted about staff with piercings, but i saw nothing really up with that. It's a brewery with good food and very reasonable prices (unexpected prices actually).

Breck Brewery is pretty good. I personally found the food and beer at the Denver location to be better, but the waitstaff was very nice.

Went with family for dinner. Wait was mitigated by great extreme skiing video. Service was fair (had to ask for silverware, water) and things were "put on table" not "served." A little more graciousness and the restaurant becomes great.

Consistantly great "bar food" sometimes is just what you're hankering for when you're up in the mtns. Always friendly, parking is no problem with street parking usually available on the street behind the brewery. The bonus - reasonable prices, for the mountains. A consistant fave.

Do it! Breck Brewery is a hip spot to hit up while in Breckenridge. Because it's a brewery, you are suspect to random beer creations along with the signature ones they brew. I haven't had a bad beer here. Everything tastes pretty good. When arriving, expect to wait about 20 mins to 1 hour to be seated. The restaurant usual gets packed with vacationers and locals. Sooo what do you do while you wait, drink at the bar which is also packed. It's not like this restaurant is small or anything, I mean it is two stories. It just gets crowded. Onto the food... If you are a man, get the RIBS! These I would have to say are the best ribs I've EVER had in my LIFE! They are basted with the housemade Oatmeal Stout BBQ sauce. The meat doesn't fall off the bone, the bones fall off the MEAT! That's how tender they are. I haven't heard tremendous things about the other food but then every time I go, everyone gets the ribs. Prepare for the "itis" afterwards...can't avoid it!

I suppose I ordered poorly, which isn't Breck Brewery's fault at all. However it is their fault that their Roasted Tomato Artichoke Soup wasn't tasty. Their beer was fabulous and it was a great surprise to order beer during happy hour without realizing it was actually happy hour ($6 pitchers, $2 drafts and half priced appetizers)..especially after my friends had spent the same on warm Coors Light at a happy hour the day before. The wings and onion rings my table ordered as apps were really good. The onion ring batter was light and airy, and the breaded-then-fried wings were really crispy with a spicy, but flavorful buffalo sauce. My entree wasn't quite as thrilling. I went for the soup/salad combo and chose the garden salad (BORING) and the Roasted Tomato Artichoke Soup. I don't eat pork, so I was really disappointed when I noticed smokey pork (bacon is my guess) in my soup halfway through the bowl. That really ruined the rest of my meal. The soup sounded so vegetarian, but I guess I shouldn't have made that assumption. I was hoping for the flavor to be more fresh and abundant with vegetables. The soup was thickened with cream, rather than pureed tomatoes, which seemed like a waste of calories that didn't improve the soup...ordering fail on my part. My boyfriend was kind enough to share his fish and chips with me, which came with a tangy, delicious coleslaw. The fish had the same lovely batter as the onion rings, and was well complimented by the tarter sauce. All of our friends were super happy with their meals, so I guess I would give Breckenridge Brewery another chance and never order their soup/salad combo again.

Meh. The beer leaves a lot to be desired, particularly compared to the quality of most other breweries in Colorado. The food is about what you'd expect from a place which should be focusing on making beer, which is to say it's just OK. Ultimately, their lack of adequate focus on beer leaves me disappointed with the food. Aside from their Monday evening special, their happy hour isn't too great, either.

I ate here several times for lunch and dinner during my residence in Colorado and whenever I visited and I always enjoyed the brews and the dinner selection. The lunch special back in 2008 was incredibly awesome, though I have not been here in close to three years. This place is definitely worth hitting after a day on the mountain.

Was in Breckenridge for the weekend, so it was one of those things ya just had to do. I ordered a turkey & brie croissant which was piled thick with fresh turkey. The turkey was slightly dry, but it went really well with the brie and cranberries & cranberry spread. I opted for cole slaw instead of fries and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't too sweet or thick/creamy. Pseudo hubby had a made to order burger with onion rings and bacon on top. The ultimate decadent burger for sure. It came with thick fries which were nice and crisp. We ate at the bar and received pleasant service from the bartender. For a nice relaxing lunch in the mountains with a homemade brew, it's worth stopping at Breckenridge Brewery.

We came in for a drink (obviously) on Saturday just before happy hour :( and sat at one of the tables in the bar area near the window. Amazing view, sure, but the waitress ignored us. No worries, we'll just order from the bar and give her the tip instead. I had a Trademark which was really nice and my wife had an Agave Wheat which tasted much better than I'd remembered. 5 stars if we'd had a waitress.

Not a bad place for a decent microbrew. Friendly bartender and reasonable prices. But after going to the head and seeing one of the kitchen staff come in take a leak and leave without washing his hands, I'd think twice about eating here.

Food was delicious. Atmosphere was just Okay. We ordered the lamb chops to share, and ended up with pork chops, the waitress didn't seem a bit concerned. They looked really good so we decided to keep them. They were nice & juicy and thick, mashed potatoes were very yummy, and fresh green beans were cooked just right. All the boys had burgers and loved them. Except one that hates a pink burger and didn't eat the middle, but didn't want to send it back. Large helpings for fries and tater tots. Prices were on the high side, but we are in Breck. My husband is the only one who drank beer and didn't rave about it.

Food was decent enough and beer was good but the service was subpar. Our waitress started off with a bit of an indifferent attitude, didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked, I had to ask for my second beer, sort if threw stuff on the table and by the end if the meal was bordering on rude. Couldn't even bear to give her 15%. I would've gone back for the beer but with so many other places, why deal with an attitude?

I hadn't been to the Breckenridge Brewery in over ten years but my wife and I needed a day off of skiing so decided to go to Breckenridge to spend the day. The town has many free parking lots for visitors and you should walk their main street which has the Colorado mining town feel and has hundreds of shops, restaurants and cool bars to stop in. We walked the entire street and stopped at the one end for lunch at the Breckenridge Brewery. You smell the hops and fermentation vessels when you walk in but quickly lose yourself in the casual Colorado vibe of the place. The Vanilla Porter is an excellent choice and their amber colored Avalanche is another good beer to try. Food options include the build a sandwhich section where you can dress up a burger or chicken sandwich in a mexican style, blue cheese, bbq, ranchero and other varieites. Compfort foods are also available such as meat loaf and tender ribs that fall off the bone. The place will be packed apres ski so go early for no wait times but go for the cool vibe, have a cool pint and down a hot lunch on a cold winter day.

Location, beer, food, atmosphere, and friendly service. Breckenridge Brewery has all but one of these, but it's a doozy. I came here on a slow Monday evening., to a location near where we were staying... a friendly bartender took my drink order, and out came an awesome Avalanche Ale. I was enjoying the game. Then I took my first bite of food. Woof. Tasted like mass produced food, on par with concession stands. Overall, I would return for a basic bar appetizer or beer, but definitely will go elsewhere for a full meal.

breckenridge - not much to do at night except drink. enter breckenridge brewery. right off the bat, i had their vanilla porter because the description stated that it had a hint of chocolate, roasted nut flavors, and a creamy vanilla finish. smooth, but the vanilla was too subtle to taste. to stuff my belly, i ordered the sliced angus flat iron sandwich [marinated and grilled angus flat iron steak hand sliced on toasted ciabatta then topped with crispy fried onion ribbons with lettuce and tomato]. the meat was tender - soft pink interior, grilled exterior. surprising, this sandwich was really good. this came with a side of sriracha/lime sour cream - could have used a lot more sriracha in my opinion. the mashers were creamy and buttered, delicious as usual. you can't mess up on potatoes. the beer is aite, i would have tried something else, but at that altitude, one beer already made me too giddy. the food saved this place from a lower rating. *note: monday nights, the pint glasses are only a dollar. holla! and ladies drink free.

I've always heard of Breckenridge Brewery, so when I finally made my way to Colorado, I knew I had to stop. First, we began with the beer sampler and wow - we loved every single one! Made it hard to choose what we wanted to drink with our meals. The burgers were delish. Everyone was super friendly, including the associates working the merchandise stand. Overall, great experience.

Just perfect after hiking the 14er, Quandary. We sat inside and enjoyed beer and much needed late lunch. I had the Fish 'n Chips. It was delectable. You can't really go wrong with Fish 'n Chips, especially after burning all those calories trudging your up way 14,000+ feet. Really greasy fish that makes my mouth water thinking about it. The fries were great and there were plenty to share with my friends. Tartar sauce is A+. Would definitely go back but I still have yet to make my way through Breckenridge's other fine eats.

We will be back and soon! We had lunch here today. The reuben was stellar--corn beef was unbeatable in flavor, slice, and leanness. The pulled pork, bison burger, and southwestern salad were all enjoyed by our group as well. Vanilla Porter was a winner too.

An average brewpub - about as typical as can be. Given Colorado's (deserved) reputation for craft beer, Breckenridge Brewery is disappointing. Visited for lunch 2/26/10. Eight beers on tap - four regulars, four seasonals. No guest beers. All drinkable, but average quality at best - with that dispiriting bland sameness across even different styles that you get at some brewpubs. Maybe it's the yeast? Best beer on my visit was a Pale Ale - nice hop character, but nothing you would make a special trip for (no IPA on tap on my day). An Imperial Brown also pretty good. Everything else, especially the "light" beer and flagship vanilla porter, quite forgettable. Typical pub-type menu. Again, average quality food at best. I had buffalo wings (not good) and a burger (fine). Spartan decor, reasonable service at the table and bar both. Breckenridge is not a good beer town. But if you can go to only one place, then Downstairs at Eric's is preferable. They're sure to have at least a few Breckenridge Brewery beers on tap, along with a few from other Colorado breweries. And Eric's food and atmosphere are better than at the Breckenridge Brewpub.

Came here for lunch on a Monday as soon as we arrived in Breckenridge last week. We sat outside on the Patio. Service was just a little bit slow, but so is everything anywhere but the Tri-State area. Appetizers: Onion Rings - PERFECT, some of the best we've had. Wings - also very good, meaty and tasty Lunch: Spinach Salad with mangos, strawberries, nuts, roasted red peppers, onion + sundried tomato vinnegrette. One of the best salad's I've ever had in my life. My bf got the pulled pork sandwich and was very happy with it. Great beers! I loved the Agave Wheat, Avalanche Amber was good as well!

I've only visited the Breckenridge Brewery once and I only drank the beer but that was a enough to leave a memorable impression. I had three of the micro brews. I can't remember their exact names but I had the amber, vanilla porter, and blonde. The beer was served at room temperature which might have had an effect on the flavor of the beer. The vanilla porter was the tastiest of the beers but, again, the room temperature serving made the beer taste and feel really heavy and it was actually tough to take down. The amber and blonde, I'm sad to report, just tasted awful. My brother and I are big beer drinkers; my brother pushed his amber aside and couldn't find the strength to finish it. I finished the amber but it was tough. The blonde was much of the same; awful taste and tough to stomach. I feel that if the beers were served cold, the experience would have been much better. Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed in the beers that I sampled at the Breckenridge Brewery. The place was packed so maybe my palate is more complex than others or maybe all those people were there for the food.

This used to be our favorite place for happy hour with great beer and appetizers. But something changed this year...something bad. The beer is still great, but the appetizers are disappointing compared to last year. Is it new management? Come for the beer but go elsewhere to eat. No tuna, no sweet potato fries, no pork wings, just cheap stuff now.

Came here for my boyfriend's birthday with another couple. After reading the other reviews I guess I expected more. The food was not good. My fish and chips were so overcooked that the fish was somewhat chewy. The service was not that great and the waiter almost seemed annoyed to take our order. However I must say that the beers were good. Overall, I'd come here for their cheap beers at $4 each ($2 during HH). But their food can easily be skipped.

We decided to aprs ski at Breckenridge Brewery after a long day of skiing; we quickly changed at home and were at Breckenridge Brewery by 5 p.m. At that point, the brewery was starting to fill up but there were still empty tables (and good thing considering that we had a group of 15). The brewery is pretty big (two floors), and they have a good selection of bar food. We had eight pitchers of beer and 6 appetizers (3 cheese and spinach dips and 3 orders of onion rings), and the total came to an amazing $103. The pitchers were only $6 (wow!). I thought the cheese/spinach dip was pretty good, but oddly, it came with pretzels. I would have expected chips or something like that, so I found the pretzel choice odd, especially since pretzels aren't particularly good for sopping up all of that great dip. We were having Mexican food later that night so we were avoiding any Tex Mex apps, but I would've liked to have tried the nachos... By the time we left (a little before 7), the place was PACKED. No place to barely stand downstairs; so unless you are going on a weekday, I would definitely recommend getting to the brewery early.

    1. The outside deck looked inviting and we had spotted an open table as we walked past - and as we were only 3 we figured we could get it. We were politely told it was full by the host as we were placed in the rear of the place, in the pool table/t.v. area with the other three families there. It's actually a pretty ugly room, kinda spoiled the vibe of drinking good beer. 2. We went on a Sunday afternoon - the bar area was crowded with an 'older frat' crowd, drunk and very loud. Luckily after 20 mins they staggered out. I had been to the bar before on a weekend afternoon and it was the same then, lesson not learnt from that yesterday. However lesson now learned. Avoid between 2-4pm. 3. The server didn't understand what 'cask conditioned ale' was, never mind telling me if they had one on tap. At a Brewery as famous as this ? Apart from that server was attentive and cheerful. 4. The Andouille sausage soup was very good. The onion rings were crispy and not soggy, a plus. 5. The Belgian double IPA was fine, it's a gold medal winner but for me falls into the trap of a lot of american craft beers of being completely over-hopped. But that's just me. Overall - a meh experience, saved by the food and beer. Avoid sitting in the rear unless you don't care for the vibe of being in a brewery.

Breck is where its at!! We never ate there, however we grabbed several growlers to take back to the condo. Avalanche, 471, lucky U IPA, all of them awesome! Bar tender was also awesome, giving us samples of each, and remembering us the next day and what we had bought, all around a great place! It was totally laid back, even some of the locs weighed in with their opinions about what brew to get, would (in a heartbeat) go back for some fresh micro brew!

Mediocre as hell brewery in a ski town. The food was very mediocre. The beer cheese spinach dip was weirdly served with soft pretzels, which didn't taste good together and would have been much better with tortilla chips. The wings were decent, but nothing special, and the sweet potato fries were just shockingly boring. My steak sandwich was decent, but not great. Their beer was surprisingly mediocre to bad, the Avalanche wasn't good and the best was Pandora's Boch, which I believe was a seasonal. Our waiter screwed up the separate checks pretty badly and even added extra items that we didn't order, which was especially annoying because we had asked for separate checks before we ordered. Also we had to wait awhile to be seated, for the food, and the check, which just made the whole experience even worse. The atmosphere kinda sucked, wasn't really fun at all, for good beer and food in Breck I'd head to Downstairs at Eric's.

We stayed in Breck for 5 nights over the Christmas holiday break and this was one of the best places we visited. The Breck Brewery had the best happy hour we experienced. Pitchers are $6 (excellent microbrews on tap) and 50% off appetizers between 3-6PM. Based on another Yelper's review, we tried the Artichoke dip and were not dissappointed. Served with warm pretzels, it was a real treat after a day of skiing. (just make sure they apply the apres-ski happy hour discounts to your bill. Our waiter "accidentally" forgot, but it was corrected when we reminded him.) We also visited the brewery for lunch on our first day and enjoyed the Buffalo chicken sandwhich and the Flatiron sandwhich. Both were outstanding served up with the Avalance Ale and the Lucky U IPA. Despite the busy season, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. Service was quick and the food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit. Great food at a great value.

Three years and three visits to the Breckenridge Brewery. The nachos get better every year. The beer never disappoints either. Our waitress was pretty slow this time around but given past experiences, the deliciousness of the nacho mountain and the tasty beers. I absolutely HATE when a place throws a pile of nachos on a plate and dumps the toppings on top and the middle chips get nothing. Not here! Every layer of nachos are covered with toppings. Now if only I could get them to open a location in Boston.

Having visited the Brewery both for apre ski Happy Hour, and a mid week night cap, I'd have to say that I'd gladly come back for Happy Hour. While the place is much more crowded and it can take a few minutes to find someone to grab you a drink, there is so much energy that flows through this place. Despite not being located directly at the base of the mountain, Breckenridge Brewery is Whistlers' GLC Bar & Grill, or Jackson Hole's Mangy Moose. A must visit while in town for the week!

As most have said before, the food is sub-par and not worth the money. The beer however, is definitely worth it. When I went they had 5 special/seasonal brews along with their regulars. I tried the Oatmeal Stout and the Vanilla Porter, I may not be a beer expert but the Vanilla Porter has taken it's place at the top of my dark beer list. The view from the outside balcony is pretty amazing for those who don't have the pleasure of the mountain backdrop at home. The staff was friendly and helpful, but sitting out on the balcony I feel like they may have forgotten about us a time or two. The foods not great, but it's not like it's bad, just not worth the money. Have a few of their delicious brews and then eat, the food might taste a little better.

My friends got coffee drinks and I got a Christmas ale that tasted horrible. I am no beer snob. For the love of boogers, I will drink ANYTHING. The waitress was very sweet and brought me an IPA that was good. The waitress couldn't open the whipped cream for the coffee drinks, so I helped her, but not before she left us. Big mistake on her part...

Day / Time Sunday, 1:15pm Food The food was pretty much your typical ski resort town / brewery fare. Lots of salads, burgers, and sandwiches. I had the buffalo burger, quandary style. The buffalo meat is supposed to be healthier than beef burgers and it did taste lighter and less greasy, but still delicious. It was unclear whether the buffalo itself was delicious or whether all the toppings associated with "quandary style" made it delicious. I substituted in sweet potato fries for normal fries and was not particularly impressed with them. They had very little taste. The other fried options (onion rings and normal fries) were definitely superior. We shared the artichoke dip as an appetizer - it was served with pretzel bread and was warm and tasty. For beer, I got the vanilla porter, which I thought was okay. It seemed a little bit light for a porter to me. My friends got the beer sampler which was a great deal - $10 for 10 small glasses of beer. After tasting the other beers, the vanilla in the vanilla porter came through much more clearly. Service Service was friendly and fairly quick. The food took a while to come out, but I think we were there at a fairly busy time. The only issue was in getting seated - they were fairly disorganized. They didn't put us in the queue until our whole party arrived and then they handed us a buzzer without saying how long it would be. When we asked how much longer they asked how many were in our party and then seated us within a few minutes. They never actually used the buzzer. Atmosphere Fairly standard brewery. Large dining room and somewhat noisy, but not so noisy that it inhibited conversation. Good for groups.

Positives 1. The beer, especially the vanilla porter on nitro! 2. The ambience. The high ceilings, fireplaces, wood, metal; it all adds up to a unique Colorado feel. A great place to bring family and friends visiting Denver. 3. It has a spacious outdoor beer garden. Drawbacks 1. The food is good, but could be better. Breck has other restaurants with better menus and higher quality food. This may simply be a decision based on the clientele they expect at the Farm, but I think they could up their game a bit.

Great beer, great atmosphere, solid food! Came here on a Saturday night (7pm) and there was absolutely no seating for about an hour, including at the bar. That's not so bad, though, when you have plenty of beer options to choose from. Waitstaff was extremely nice, and I ended up getting a standard sandwich (the night was long, the altitude was high, and...I just don't remember). Beer-wise, ended up with the red saison and an avalanche ale. Both solid choices and only $5 each! This has a decent amount of seating and it's no wonder why this place is so busy. I'd definitely recommend stopping by here if you're in the area!

In planning a get away to Breckenridge for my birthday weekend I was excited for one thing above most others. Breckenridge Brewery! So excited in fact that while my boyfriend and I waited for the rest of our friends to arrive we snuck over for a couple beers. Ssshh! Don't tell. For our first excursion, we gladly sat at the bar. It was early in the afternoon and by no means was it crowded. The bartender was very attentive. I had the Vanilla Porter which was heavier than I usually drink but it was a great sipper. My boyfriend had at Agave Wheat and a gin and tonic. He's not a wheat beer fan, but Breck's wheat exceeded his expectations. When we came back later in the evening it was approx 8:30 and we had grown to a group of six! To our surprise we were seated immediately. Our waiter was quite hurried, but I can't blame him it was late on a Friday night. He was gracious enough to come back when we weren't ready and snap a couple pictures of our group. We ordered a flight of beer so everyone could have a few sips and decide on a full size they'd like for their meal. We ordered a variety of food. Mostly burgers for the ladies, wings, and chicken for the boys. I had the Las Vegas burger and it was delish. I am a sucker for french fries (or anything potato for that matter) and these were awesome. I paired this tasty meal with a saison. I've never tried a saison before and I must say it was delicious! Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to come back for another great evening!

When my friend suggested a weekend in Breckenridge - I was all in, under one condition. WE GO TO BRECK BREWERY. Now I've been to the one downtown, and have yet to try the new one in Littleton, but I'm always a fan of visiting the original location - which we gladly did Friday night. We walked over from our condo (which was right across the street!) around 830pm and were surprised to be seated right away - with our party of 6. We sat in the rear and were greeted promptly by our server. We ordered a flight of beer, all sampled the varieties and decided on our own pints to accompany dinner - I settled on the ipa, which was super good, along with their seasonal! The food was delicious. I don't know if it was the rush of beer to the head, or that my burger was cooked to perfection but I noshed on the Las Vegas burger and loved it! Nothing makes a burger better than fried onion strings! mmm! Our group ordered a variety of different things, allowing us to share bites! Great beer + nice staff + great prices + cozy atmosphere = fun place for a group!!

Breck's Vanilla Porter was what caught my eye and made me want to stop at the brewpub in Breck. I'm a big fan of their Stout so I was excited to try something new. I wasn't impressed with the Vanilla Porter. It was a bit bitter for a sweet beer. As for food I did the build your own burger. I started off with the basic burger and added Smoked bacon, prosciutto, guacamole. I thought it was just $1.50 for all of those but when I got my bill it was $1.50/item. Even though it was pretty spendy, it was amazing and it hit the spot. Service was mediocre. I liked that they gave us a pitcher of water otherwise I would have ran out because our server only stopped at our table a total of three times.

I'll keep in short and simple. Come for the beer, NOT for the food. Our group of 11 was unanimously disappointed in their food. The majority of us got some kind of sandwich/burger and had to choke it down because it was so dry. My Salted Grapefruit Saison gets a thumbs up, however.

Going to Colorado, and enjoying the taste of good craft beers, I had Breckenridge brewery on my list of places to try...I'm glad we made the trip. Starting off, the place was packed and we had a 25 min wait, place looked like the typical brewpub, big bar area, flanked with vats and brewing gear...but the oatmeal stout caught my eye, so I gave it a try...dark was an understatement, it almost looked like oil, but tasted wonderful...lots of depth and great finish. I tried that, and Avalanche ale, both were packed with flavor and helped my sausage, onion and pepper sandwich taste that much better. Service was attentive, and helpful, as they offered some interesting foods. My sons, one grabbed a burger, well done and tasty, complete with avocado. Most places seem to offer avocados without an up charge, nice touch. The other grabbed a bacon burger, he also enjoyed it. My wife ordered the fish and chips and 4 cheese macaroni. She said the fish didn't have a ton of flavor, and only the top layer of mac and cheese was good. I did the sausage with a side of vegetables...coupled with the beer...I thought it was a very tasty meal...give the brewery a try, if your looking for a flavorful beer and food combination...

This was a tough review for me to write as the server was awesome but the food was only so-so. Our server was rad. We decided to sit up in the bar area and he was slammed when we walked in. He was super chill and took care of us despite how busy he was. He was patient as the boys decided on beers and definitely gave them good recommendations. He also made sure all our food came out - and the extra dressings and sauce requested. The food was only okay. The only thing we really liked was the edamame. It had a little bit of a spice to it which made it super unique. The mac n cheese seemed a little bland and the wedge salad was alright. We were hoping for some good grub and we're disappointed. I'm guessing this is a place we'd return to grab drinks but probably not eat.

The beer here is delicious, love the experimental IPA, only downfall might be the beer wasn't the coldest. Great staff that was very friendly. Came here for beers one night and food the next day on the upper patio which has a great view of Breckenridge. It's a must stop just for the beer, food was also tasty

Great drinks, pretty decent food. Or table really liked the agave wheat beer. Three of us ordered elk burgers - two "french" style with goat cheese, apples, prosciutto and apricot marmalade. Great combo! I had mine with bacon, apples, and avocado. I had the burger cooked medium, which was a little dry because the meat is so lean. Dad had the elk meatloaf, which he raved about. The 50/50 burger didn't get as great of reviews. There aren't too many gluten free options here besides by less burgers (or one with a GF bun) and salads, but items are marked on the menu that can be made gluten free, which was nice! A good casual spot for dinner.

I love craft beer and I have even had a few of the Breckenridge beers back home (nitro V. Porter was always a good one). I was excited to try this place out and try some brewery exclusive beers following the 5 star experience I had at Avery Brewing in Boulder the week before. I'm going to keep this short. The service was rushed and unfriendly, the food was average at best, and most disappointing of all were the three beers I had, experimental IPA, blood orange Kolsch, and grapefruit saison. I kept trying new ones to see if my luck was just off that day. None of these beers were as advertised. They were weak and their fruit flavor (notes) didn't present themselves. I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me with the Kolsch as it tasted like your average Bud Light. I left this place really disappointed. The only saving grace was that my beers were only $3 because it was happy hour. As Bud Lights go, not a bad deal I suppose.

We ate here for a family reunion and had about 20 people with us. Both the food and service was far above average! For apps, we ordered the nachos and artichoke dip. If you love artichoke dip you must order! They put a twist to the dish by serving it with pretzels and vegetables. Very delicious! The nachos were massive and they didn't skip on the ingredients! I ordered the pork tenderloin which I also recommend! I get skeptical about ordering pork because I don't like it when it's overcooked but this was cooked perfectly and very tender. My mom had the elk meatloaf and for never having elk before she was very impressed. Just a bit leaner than beef and I thought a better taste, not too gamey which is good. Comparable to buffalo. I would highly recommend this place and ask for Jake to be your server!

The happy hour here is pretty good. The appetizers are half price. I had the prawns, They were fresh, tasty, and there were at least a dozen. It was more like a meal. The salads are huge! The only flaw is that there is an up-charge for a cocktail. A vodka soda was $4, but to make it into a martini, they charge an additional $3 or $4. (I'm sorry I can't remember the exact prices.)

We came here for happy hour and the beer was only 3 dollars for a 16 oz!!!!!! I got the orange crush kolsh and it was tasty and the kids fish and chips. The food was mediocre but the Beer and price were awesome!

A fun brewery bar/restaurant. Came in on a Sunday after hiking Quandary Peak and had the place was packed but we got seated within 15 mins. Had the fish and chips and they let me switch out the fries for a salad with no extra charge which was nice. Fish was tasty and crispy. Got 2 large pieces and could only eat 1.5 of them. Did have to ask for malt vinegar which I'd expect to be brought out with this kind of meal but it's no biggie. A friend got the nachos for an appetizer and be warned, it's freaking huge! Can feed 2-3 as a whole meal! But was very good with lots of topping and nice big crispy tortilla a chips. Had the Agave Wheat beer and it was delicious! Drank 2 of those and loved it so much I bought a 6 pack when I got back home to Denver! Will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Breck!

Awesome happy hour!!!! Went there with my friends to get some flights and found out that beers were $3 for happy hour, and they were really good as well! We ordered nachos as an appetizer and it was definitely some of the best nachos we've had!

In the gnarly weather, exploring Breck wasn't as easy as just pickin' out the obvious go-tos. Breckenridge Brewery is exactly what you'd expect. Cozy, lots of boozes to choose from (love that they offer full liquor bar, too (make a mean (but spicy) Bloody)), and good service. It's tough to stand around other tables with folks eating while waiting for the single occupancy, all-gender bathroom, especially when you're geared down in snowboard wear all drippy and sweaty and disgusting and just wanting to slam booze and warm up. There are more bathrooms downstairs; I just didn't check them out. Also love they have gluten free bread for burgers and sammies-- the Reuben was slammin', and she-beaux annihilated some ribs. So, back to expectations-- I wasn't expecting some new innovation that totally blew me through a wall, but it's always nice when something hits you that's a little endemic to a joint. On the other hand, there's a ton of comfort in knowing exactly what you're gonna get. It's a brewery-- a good one.

First time to the Breckenridge location. We were seated right away and our waitress was friendly but very busy. Our group enjoyed their brews-most especially the Avalanche. I had the Elk Meatloaf and it was delicious and we all loved the mashers.

This is a great place to stop after hiking Mt. Quandary (14er near Breck) for a nice cold beer. I love that they have great veggie burgers that are totally customizable with awesome toppings like Brie cheese and caramelized onions (that's my suggestion!). The wait here can be a tad long and it can get busy, but its a must try!

The beer was great, I had the Agave wheat. However, I would have returned if I could as I was almost instantly accosted by staff for doing something I surely did not do. For then standing behind their ignorance and treating me as such. Beyond that, they continued to be dismissive and rude to other tables as well. I will recommend this establishment to no one.

Great crafted beers, great draft selection...food leaves something to be desired! We ordered a burger, a Caesar salad and their homemade beer cheese soup. The burger was ok, caesar salad was iceberg lettuce swimming in dressing and the soup was awful. If you are looking for great beer its a go but if you are looking for quality food its a no.

We love breweries! Even though we had been here before, we had to stop by again. They have limited parking, so think about walking over if you are close. We only came for the beer. Happy to have their full selection to choose from, we enjoyed our time at the bar. I peeked at the food menu and it did not look bad. A guy sitting next to me at the bar ordered a pasta dish and I was so hungry! The bartender was great and knowledgeable about the beer and also giving us tips for around town and Spring skiing. (also try their location in Denver).

All I have to say is Agave Wheat. I'll say more though. I've eaten here three times now, and have never been disappointed. Reading my reviews you'll probably notice I'm a buffalo burger connoisseur... and I have to say these are up there with the best buffalo burgers I have ever had! Their salads are good too, and people I've gone with have always said great things about their meals. But back to the important thing... their Agave Wheat beer. Wheat beer has always been my favorite beer, but when you add the agave on top of that I enter heaven. Whenever I'm beer shopping and I see this kind I know my shopping is complete. Even thought their food is good... The Agave Wheat beer is the must try at this restaurant.

Nice little spot to have a beer. I had the POG saison which was refreshing! I then had a bourbon mule which tastes great- just wish they had the copper mug! (I did know that they didn't Bc it states on the menu...so no suprise). We shared the beer cheese fries which were good with big pieces of bacon.

Good food and good service. We had a complicated split check and they took care of it perfectly. We also had a lot of special orders on food and everything came out perfect. Recommend the bbq pork sandwich and red ale.

Great food an beer election. A bit loud but to be expected at a brewery. The Summer Bright Golden Ale was refreshing. Pulled pork sandwich could easily feed two and the four cheese Mac and cheese was delicious. Others had the Reuben, a burger Fish and chips and z half rack of ribs. All lived their food. Highly recommend. Ask for Jennifer as your server. Friendly and attentive.

Pros: Large restaurant Efficient service Good beer with a great selection Family friendly Good prices for Breck Cons: Average food Noisy Very small parking lot - Recommend walking one block from the parking lot near downtown I wish I could say the food was better and next time I'm in Breck, I'll probably give it another try. The ribs were pretty standard and the daily special was not very special (grilled Yellowfin with a pineapple salsa and carrot/goat cheese risotto - the ingredients together did not work). Next time I go, I'll try something more standard for a pub, like a burger.

I'm not a huge beer drinker, and I only get moderately excited about pub food - that being said, I thought Breckenridge Brewery was very impressive! My husband and I sat on the patio under an umbrella - the perfect location for enjoying a couple brews. Our server was super friendly and helpful in making our beer and food selections. What goes better with beer than burgers? BB has a few burger specialties, as well as a "create your own" option which you can choose a beef burger, turkey burger, black bean burger, or chicken breast and TONS of mouthwatering toppings. I decided to get a black bean burger (they are made in-house), while my husband had a beef burger Las Vegas style (with avocado, onion strings, and some other delicious stuff). On the side I ordered fries, and for a small upcharge my husband got the Mac and cheese. Everything was really good. My veggie burger was big and flavorful and the fries were addictive. My husband's Mac and cheese was the most interesting I've ever seen - four cheeses and a bowtie pasta. I wasn't able to sneak a bite but it looked amazing! One ding - my husband ordered his burger medium and it came well done. While the toppings were great, the burger was only okay and not at all juicy. So that was a bit of a bummer. But overall, BB had some really good food options. It's nice to see a brewery that invests in its food as well.

This place is great after a day in the slopes of Breckenridge with your friends. My husband and I have been here twice over the past year. The first time we came around dinner time on a Saturday night with some friends and it was packed but they still found us a place to sit above the crowd. The second time we came and it was a Sunday afternoon around 130, all the TVs were on at the bar to watch your favorite game. We were greeted right away and sat within 1 minute of walking in. We ordered the Nachos as an app and a burger with fries for our entree to split. The nachos were enough food for 3 or 4 people and pretty tasty. The burger however was delicious! I would definitely get a burger again and highly recommend one. Get the fried jalapeños on top as an added bonus! The only con's I have about this place is the staff wasn't overly friendly..you know when people are just kind of "there" but don't really care, that's the vibe I got from the host and our waiter. Also, I know this is my own personal opinion but steer clear of the Agave Wheat, it was not good. Overall I enjoyed my experience here.

I love breweries! And I love Breckenridge beer! We were lucky enough to be in Breckenridge for a family ski trip and decided to stop in for some late lunch and a brew or two. I was not very hungry so I split some chips and salsa with my beau. The first beer I ordered was a seasonal saison. It tasted of grapefruit. It was lovely and refreshing. On my second pick I decided to try the vanilla porter. I have had that one in the bottle before (in kentucky) but wanted to have it straight from the source. :) It is a delicious and easy to drink porter. It is not as heavy as some, and also not as stout-it does not have quite the ABV that some porters can have. After those two I figured I better take a beer break. :) The rest of our group enjoyed their food. The filet looked really nicely prepared and the meatloaf was a table favorite. If you are in the area, this brewery is a must stop. I am glad we did. I will feel cooler now when I drink Breckenridge Brewery beer here at home in Louisville.

This is my favorite restaurant to take people to when we go to Breckenridge. Firstly, it is really well situated, right on main street, with a beautiful view of the of the mountains. Second, the quality is great. Tons of awesome beers to choose from, especially the rotating selections. The food is great also. Lots of simple pub options like fish and chips & burgers, but there are also some more exotic options, such as elk meatloaf (which is delicious). Thirdly, the prices are pretty reasonable. I don't have to tell you that Breckenridge can be a bit pricey, so this is a nice aspect. Overall, craft colorado beer and tasty food in a beautiful mountain town for around $20 a head. Five stars.

We came here twice on our ski trip. It was packed both times - which is good! It's a lively atmosphere and the bar is very big. The first night I had the elk burger. It was very good. The second time I got the beer cheese buffalo soup and the pork. Then soup was really good, very creamy. The pork was equally as good but I was too full to eat it. The mac and cheese was a hit with the group as well. The beer selection is good. I was a bit disappointed in their IPA selection. Maybe it was just bad timing with their brew schedule. Overall, I great spot for a lively after ski dinner.

My friends already decided we were going here for dinner without even asking for the Yelper's opinion first. Oh well. The place was pretty hopping on a Thursday night around 6:00 but 7 of us got seated right away. They have a good craft beer selection and the food menu is what you'd expect to find at a brew pub. About the only thing that stood out on the menu as unique was the elk meatloaf and the elk burger. I went with the meatloaf just to try something different, but it wasn't at all what I expected. The portion was generous. Two loaves of meat atop a heaping pile of mashed and plenty of frizzled onions. But the meat itself was way tougher and drier than you would expect from meatloaf. I get that elk is naturally tough, so maybe they just needed to cook it longer. Either way, I wasn't a fan. The Caesar salad was meh, but the pulled pork was good and everyone was happy with the beer cheese fries. I did notice the kids Mac and cheese looked identical to Kraft easy Mac. In fact, I'm certain it WAS Kraft easy Mac. In the end, the service and the beer selection made up for the so-so food. Stick to the brews and you'll be fine.

This place is pretty good. We like their beer, so we brought some friends from out of town for a late lunch. I had the elk meatloaf, which was really good. Service was okay, could've been friendlier but hey, this isn't the South so I don't expect anyone to be overly friendly. Definitely go in for the beer though. Great chance to try out a few.

Came here in 2012.... awesome. Came back in 2013, still pretty awesome. 2014, not so awesome. It seems they changed the menu and it just wasn't as good. It seemed very generic. Nothing on the menu sounded very good and in the end, we didn't really eat much of what we ordered. I had a salad, BF had a reuben and we ordered an appetizer of deep fried jalapeños (which I had way higher expectations for). I'm pretty disappointed cause I remember loving this place.

It's almost tradition to visit Breckenridge Brewery after snowboarding. The avalanche beer (amber ale) keeps me coming back. Happy hour prices are decent and the half price happy hour appetizers are fantastic. It gets quite busy so depending on when you come, expect a wait. The Artichoke Dip is fantastic. I love that it comes with soft pretzel sticks and vegetables (carrots, celery, cucumber). The Agave Shrimp is a steal during happy hour. Nice pieces of shrimp and nicely toasted bread to dip in the juices of the shrimp. Service was good even though it was busy. I was full after my beer and apps but the rest of the group ordered main entrees (burger, sandwich, and a salad) which looked decent. I will be back every year.

  • Andy R.

The service is great, the beer is great, and the Happy Hour from 4PM-7PM is great. $3 for REAL beer is a steal. The food is standard pub grub, but it is delicious. I ordered a burger and I would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly. What's not to like here? I will definitely be back next time I come to Breckenridge. Side note: Grab a t-shirt if you can. They have a lot to choose from, and the material is really comfortable. Lots of cool designs...there is something for everyone.

We stayed in Breck for a week and the Brewery was right behind our place, so we went there several times during out stay. Other than one night that we sat in the dining room, we spent all our time at the bar. Tasty food, an array of delicious beer options, and delightful service. The happy hour specials are solid, so I recommend checking them out. And, the mac & cheese is phenomenal.

I ordered the Amber Ale and a Turkey Burger with my family when we were in town visiting another family member that lives in Breckenridge. The staff was really friendly, and other than a little difficulty getting a table for a large group, I thought the experience was very positive. Every member of our party had to be present to be seated which was difficult because one family member is nursing her 8 month old. I would say they should be a little more lax about the ENTIRE party situation. I would definitely recommend the food and beers for a good hang out spot.

Friday night after a day of skiing, we decided to go relax at Breckenridge Brewery. However, I think either everyone else had the same idea as us or it's just insane on the weekends. Good luck to you if you can park anywhere close. The hostesses were busy, but they blew me off when I asked about a t-shirt...so instead of waiting for a table, we decided to just grab a beer. The bartender was swamped, but he was super nice. Actually, he pretty much saved my opinion on this place. I had a couple samples and decided to go with the Lucky U IPA. Two others in my group got the wheat and another got the Avalanche. Everyone liked their beer, but since it was so incredibly packed, a large majority of my beer got spilled by someone hitting my arm. We made our way into a corner, finished the rest of our beer, and left. Beer and bartender were great, everything else...could be much better

Came here to burn some time with a beer and a Caesar salad, neither dissapointed. They have good beers that I enjoy both in pub and that I buy back home in Saint Louis at the store. I can't vouch for any of their other food but coming here for the beer itself is enough reason to go, Breckenridge Brewery enjoys a well deserved reputation for beer.

Had a good experience with a party of eight for late lunch today. The fish and chips were terrific, and the buffalo chicken beer cheese soup was good and unexpected. The variety on the menu made it easy for people to find something they liked. Our server was right on the spot with our correctly split checks after friendly and prompt service. Wish the facility itself were a little cleaner, as there were big five gallon drums of something littering the hallways. Overall a solid experience and a good bet of getting a table if you have a large party.

This brewery makes some pretty decent beers that you can find in most liquor stores. I've always enjoyed their Vanilla Porter but had never made time to check out their actual brewery on my many Summit County visits, but I recently did and it was OK, but nothing I'll ever make a big deal to do again. The parking lot is tiny. The building feels rundown, disorganized and needs a makeover. But they still do pretty good beer; I've never tried their food but it looked like bar food. I could end up here again, but for Summit County breweries my heart will always belong to Dillon Dam.

We love this restaurant! We make a point of visiting this brewery every time we're in Breck even tho we are not drinkers. The food and service is always very good and people are friendly. The reason we particularly like this restaurant because it gives us an opportunity to pay our respects to Bill Berger of the Platte Ranch Riding Stables in Fairplay. His portrait hangs proudly in the restaurant. Bill is a gentle man who is passionate about his horses as well as the guests that visit his stable. We have ridden with them many times and are thankful we had the opportunity to meet him before he passed in 2008. He had a special connection with this restaurant and so do we. Breckenridge Brewery and Bill Berger have a special place in our hearts.

We stopped here for dinner over our New Years ski trip this past year. While this was probably one of the busiest weeks in any ski town, and we expected long waits and busy restaurants, our experience here was kind of - meh. We were seated in about half an hour, which is quite good given the crowd. However, it was basically impossible to get to the bar to order a drink while waiting. Once seated, our waiter seemed to forget about us for almost twenty minutes. I can't fault him too much because he seemed spread a little thin. We ordered our drinks and were ready with our food orders, so got those in right away as well. It was quite loud due to the proximity of the tables, which made it difficult for our waiter to hear us and vice versa. When we received our food (burgers and wings), my husband only got half the order of wings requested (he decided to forego a main and just requested a double order of chicken wings), and I was missing my fries. One of our friends received the wrong kind of soup. There were only four of us, and other than the soup and double order of wings instead of an entree, we had no weird or additional requests or substitutions, so it was a little disappointing. The food itself was ok, with fairly good burgers. That being said, the beer was decent. The Avalanche Ale and Vanilla Porter were nice. I think next time we'd skip the restaurant and just pick up a sixer at the store.

Done skiing? Don't lie; you're never done skiing. Need some beer? Obviously. Come here for that. Need some food? Probably. Maybe not the best place for food. As far as Colorado craft brews, this place is great. They offer a handful of brewed-in-house beverages, and they're good. The food though: decent, not as good as I hoped. Brisket sandwich was dry and lacking flavor. My brothers BBQ pulled pork sandwich was much the same. Service was friendly. There's a massive wait on weekends with no reservations accepted. No call ahead seating either. Yet, "It's worth waiting in line in snow pants with your bros to get some decent beer, especially if you're hungry and are not greatly concerned about the food that accompanies said beer." -George Washington

Great beer, decent food, good atmosphere, pretty much exactly what you would expect out of a brewery/restaurant in a ski town. The beer selection is great, most beer lovers will find something that they like. Food selection includes your typical burgers and sandwiches. Would probably stay away from the fancy dinner options, this is not the type of place that I would be ordering $30 entrees from, I'm not really sure why they are even on the menu. I've heard less than stellar things about the dinner entrees, so did not bother to try them myself. Burger was good, meatloaf was good, pear/blue cheese salad was good. Nothing out of this world, but exactly what you expect.

I love going with beer samplers. The Brecken brew sampler was all 8 of their beers in 4oz "shots" served on a tray that let you know what you were drinking. Me and the hubs split the sampler. While it was a nice way of trying a little of everything, I found I didn't like most of their beers. Many were too hoppy and bitter. For eats I had the granny smith blue salad with berry vinaigrette. It's a lite meal compared to my hubs BBQ pork sandwich and fries. The BBQ pork was awesome! Everything was A-Okay with service and food. A little pricey, but I go in expecting to be charged a shinier penny when I'm on vacation.

Went in on a Wednesday night, it was packed. Bartender got to us quickly and was very nice. Had a Homer Blonde and was very pleased with it. Walked around for a bit and mingled with the crowd. Very fun up beat place. Worth the adventure to go and experience

I love their beer. The food is good. The service... well a bit to be desired. This place is always packed and honestly this is not one of our favorite places in Breck. There are so many more with better food and definitely better service. We had a large group - some of us had a further walk due to parking problems and they gave away our table of 10 because we were not all in the door when the buzzer went off. The hostess did try to accommodate and we cozied up at a table for 8. Our server? Well ok I know they were busy but still no excuse - took our order - finally...got drinks - finally.. Food came out - less than half of us had silverware. He said there was a shortage and he would see what he could do.. Seriously? It was plastic - go buy more if you are out. We borrowed a set from the table behind us since they just sat down. My husband started eating his Mac and cheese with a steak knife. 10 minutes went by before our server brought the rest of the table eating utensils. On a good note - the Elk Burger with fried avocado on a pretzel bun was delicious. So was the salad. I had one bite of the Mac and cheese and it tasted like what I make with difference cheeses so of course it was tasty!

Oh my goodness that was an amazing meal! Nachos and artichoke dip to start, both so delicious and work well together! I could have ate those as an entire meal, but we split between 5 as a starter. I then split the Elk meatloaf and it was soooo good! Not too gamey and just delightful overall. Perfect to split as it would have been a bit too much meat to have on my own, but mashed potatoes were amazing! As a last note, all the beers are good. And the staff is friendly!

Stopped by this place whilst in Breckenridge (as I have visited their location in Denver). Service was excellent (just sat at the bar). It looked like they had a much more extensive food menu that their other location, but I was here just to have a beer (or two). They have lots of choices - and thankfully - not all of them are hoptastic! Very good beer and I plan to stop by and eat something next time I am in Breck.

We came here after a long day of skiing and it ended up being a really good choice and experience. The beer was good and we caught it on happy hour, which made it even better! ;) I heard their food was good and that rumor was right on. I went with the Elk Meat Loaf (I was starving and wanted something a bit more hearty). I never had it before but it was a bit different than what imagined but it was juicy with a good taste and exceeded my expectations. It was served on mashed potatoes so the combination definitely filled me up! I really like the atmosphere of this place. We hung out at the bar for a while, where the fermentaters are positioned behind the bar. The bartenders are attentive and the place overall has a lot of energy. I think it's a great option after a day on the slopes!

I had dinner here last Friday with my husband and father. We arrived around 6 and waited less than 15 minutes despite how busy the place was. They serve several of their home brewed beers. I enjoyed the Avalanche in particular. For dinner I had the Vegas style burger with cole slaw. I didn't love the cole slaw, but the burger was really tasty and cooked perfectly. My dad built his own burger and my husband had the ribs. Both enjoyed their meals. My dad had also had the meatloaf in the past and mentioned that it is a favorite of his. The bathroom situation sucks as there is only a single seater upstairs and a tiny bathroom downstairs.

I live in town so I figured I'd finally check the place out. I got the turkey, brie and apple sandwich on focaccia which was extremely disappointing. The bread was really stale and dry and there was barely any bacon or turkey. The service was extremely slow too even though the place wasn't busy. The beer was good but I'm not sure if I would be back. It was a nice facility though.

Great spot if you know the bartender. I was charged $10 for two beers but when a older couple came up that knew the bartender they were charged $6 for the same two beers. Good old boys club. Like a bunch a cops.

Vanilla Porter is one of my favorite beers so it was pretty cool to have one from the brewery. We had the fish and chips and two salads, loved it all. Will definitely go back.

Ski mountain food often leaves me feeling lethargic, so I often stick to light snacks on the chairlift during the ski day, pushing my meal back till after the lifts close at 4pm. Breckenridge Brewery is a perfectly casual and relaxed vibe for throwing back a few tasty brews and some burgers/sandwiches after a day on the slopes. They've got a rockin' happy hour from 3-6pm with $3 pints. Even better, we managed to chow there during Breckenridge's "Craft Beer Week" so we were treated to some extra tasty beer choices (see here: yelp.com/biz_photos/brec… and here: yelp.com/biz_photos/brec… ). If you're overwhelmed by the choices, their classic oatmeal stout is a solid pick. Oh and by the way - roasted habenero IPA = MONEY! For entrees, my buddy ordered the house burger (pic: yelp.com/biz_photos/brec… ) and I opted for the goat cheese-topped pork chops ( yelp.com/biz_photos/brec… ). My friend enjoyed his burger, and moving to my pork chops, the goat cheese broke down and formed a delicious sour cream-ish sauce over the juicy portion. Our server Lee was awesome and very attentive despite his packed section full of hungry patrons. Overall, this place is good in that it's probably a safe bet for your crew, no matter what people's dietary preferences are, and despite its ski town location, prices and service remain down to earth too.

In my book, this place deserves 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding down b/c I was disappointed by the beer. I got a tasting flight, which was $12 for eight 4oz beers which was pretty reasonable (pints are $4.50). I like Zwickel's a lot so I was excited they had one, but it was bad. Next up was the agave wheat was good -- would order a pint of it if I went back. I think their Avalanche is their most famous one, and rightfully so -- definitely my favorite. The vanilla porter was very sweet for a beer, but pretty good. The oatmeal stout was a little bland. Xmas was alright, and I can't comment much on the IPA b/c they are a little too busy for me. But overall, for a craft brewery, I was only impressed by the Avalanche. We were told the wait was about an hr, but we were seated in 35 minutes. The beer-cheese fries were delicious ($8). Being from STL, I had to try the St. Louis Style ribs...which I admit definitely met my expectations. They were tender, juicy, had a great flavor and I would absolutely order them again. The fries were alright and the slaw was pretty bad -- way too vinegar-y. The service was fine. Normally, this would get a 4 star review, but the beer fell way short. Pros: great ribs, good Avalanche Ale Cons: really really crowded, most of the beers aren't great

Jimmy Walker, head brewer, is awesome. He hooked us up with a keg of Avalanche even though he didn't have one. Brought it up from Denver in time for a wedding. Awesome place, staff, and service. Highly recommended!

First dinner in Breckenridge and was craving some pub food and craft beer. What do you know, craft brewery right across from the resort. We were asked to wait for about 25 minutes, place was poppin. No prob, decided to get a tasting of the beers. I'm not a connoisseur of beer but the two that stood out in the flight were the chocolate cherry stout and the Xmas. Prominent but not overpowering notes of chocolate, with a light cherry finish, surprisingly light for a stout. The Xmas just tasted like a holiday in beer form, lightly but clearly spiced. Seated and we ordered the beer cheese fries, elk meatloaf for brother, soup and salad for my mom and me. The elk meatloaf was overcooked and dry, soup and salad were mediocre, your typical garden variety salad and an unmemorable black bean soup. My god, the beer cheese fries though, candied bacon bits, melty cheesy goodness, we straight demolished the starter. Coupled with additional pints of beer, felt like a true American. Overall, the food was okay save for those godsend beer cheese fries. Beer is solid, I imagine a few pints would be especially refreshing after a long day on the slopes. Would recommend for those staying in the area.

Ask for workmans special on weekday afternoons! $7 for entree side and beer! Can't beat that and it was good. My chicken philly was dry and plain. Not much flavor at all so I was disappointed there but the apps are delicious especially the shrimp with chorizo! Burgers super juicy as well!

It's just one of my fave's. Windows facing the resort, damned good craft brews, casual atmosphere. And 2 min from the end of many MTB trails. Buuuurrrrrrp! What could be better? Food is better than your average brewpub and not too spendy. Their burgers are great but today I had a salad that blew me away! Can't remember the name but it was a Mexican style with salsa, black beans, corn, avacado, spinach leaves & more for $11. It was just awesome! So many complimentary flavors. I didn't even use the Ranch dressing that came with it. Definitely recommend this to anyone, especially if you like good beer!

My husband and I stopped by on our way through breckenridge. We had a great view of the brewery and the mountains. It was happy hour so we did apps and split them and each had a beer. The waitress made a comment about only getting happy hour items when she dropped off our bill. Wtf!? Not sure I'd come back. Plenty of other breweries in Colorado.

Really bummed about my experience here. Primarily the drop in stars is from the service. The server was disinterested, slow and didn't know basic things like: what was the rotating tap. I like breckenridge brewery and their beers. Won't come back here though...

I had a great experience at Breckenridge Brewery! After a long day of snowboarding, we decided to skip lunch and shred through the powder from first run to last run so we were ravenous and decided to head over to the brewery for some real food. We came on a weekday around 6PM, so there was no wait for us. By the time we left around 8PM, the restaurant seemed fuller with a slight wait. The portions were humongous and such a great value compared to all the other rip-off restaurants in Breckenridge village. All of us were actually unable to finish our plates, and might I remind you, this was only our 2nd and final meal after a full day of calorie-burning shredding. My friends ordered the steak and a full rack of ribs and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The ribs were amazing; they fell right off the bone without the use of a knife and the full rack is a HUGE portion. The pulled pork sandwich was good, and I had to take half of it home to eat the next day. Heated up for a early lunch the next day, it was just as good as the day before. We also ordered the Artichoke dip as an appetizer and I love how they give you vegetables and pretzel bread to dip instead of the standard unhealthy chips. They also had my fave small batch 471 IPA on tap so I left a happy, full and slightly buzzed camper. I would definitely come back here for some brew and grub if I were to visit Breckenridge again.

With a party of 19 people, we knew that trying to get seated anywhere that doesn't do reservations would be a nightmare. We came here on Saturday, put a name down, and accepted our 1.5 hour fate. Instead of huddling awkwardly around the already-packed bar, we decided to browse some of the shops outside while we waited, clutching tightly to our buzzer-majigger. In a little over an hour the buzzer started going off. We were about two blocks away and bolted back to the restaurant in a dead sprint. It took about two minutes to sprint back. When we got there (panting heavily and sweating everywhere--curse you, elevation!) we were told they had given our tables away. Noooo argjflksfdfkl. They gave us a new buzzer and told us 30 minutes. This time we stuck to the bar, and the real wait time was about 15 minutes. They sat us in tables of 9 and 10. I tried the Avalanche beer and was a fan. For my entree I got the ahi tuna burger (probably not a great idea, Colorado is pretty landlocked) and it was ok, somewhat bland. I was a big fan of the mashed potato volcano side. The artichoke dip was also pretty good. Overall a decent place that seems to get pretty packed, probably a better spot for a few beers instead of a sit-down meal with a big group.

Great spot for beer and apps. It has the cleanliness of my fraternity house in college so after a few beers and chips we opted to head to a nicer place for dinner. Walked out smiling... with our flip flips sticking to the floor.

Ok, my problem with Breckenridge brewery is it's too big for its own good. Yes, the beer is decent, but the food isn't that good and the crowd is truly unbearable. I personally do not like fighting my way to the bar for 30 minutes for a beer while waiting almost an 90 minutes for a table. If they separated restaurant entrance from bar it would help with flow. I would give it one star but I do like some of the beers, when I get one.

Not sure why the bad reviews, the food at Breckenridge Brewery is great. My wife had the ruben and loved it (I too had a bite and it was delicious). I had the fish sandwich which was very good - highly recommended. Of course you can't go wrong with their beer selection, although I was a bit disappointed to find out they were out of one of my favorite beers, but the alternative that was recommend was really tasty. Service is fast and attentive.

A group of my friends and I ate here last night. It was so crowded you LITERALLY couldn't move in the waiting area. There was an hour and a half wait for a table. Less than friendly service and food that was just okay. I had an elk quandary burger. It was dry lacking flavor. Side salad had runny ranch and wilted greens. Save the trip and skip.

Great beer and food. I had the elk meatloaf for the 2nd time. My son had a Bison steak and hubby an elk burger. At Christmas there is always a wait. I recommend calling to find out the time and sending someone a little before the others. There is a great bar but generally too many people waiting for tables. I also had the bread pudding- yum.

Food was really good. Beer was really good. The waits are really long, but what do you expect in a ski town in January. We all really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a place that's easy to talk, skip here though. It's incredibly loud.

Though I've been buying beer from Breckenridge brewery for months, I've never actually visited the original brewery until this past weekend! The space is bustling with people, and the service manages to keep up very well with the demand! Though we only ordered beers and chips and salsa/guac, everything was very delicious and reasonably priced. Can't wait to be back!

This is my go-to bar when I am in Breckenridge. I love the happy hour which features 1/2 price appetizers and $2 pints from 3-6pm Sunday -Thursday (just the beer is on special on Friday and Saturday). They have a great outdoor area and a nice, if somewhat crowded at times, bar area. The service has always been great, and they work hard to get large parties seated quickly. The beers are delicious, and the appetizers are great as well. I have not eaten a full meal here (too full of beer and apps), but it always looks good. I recommend this place après-ski or après-anything.

Outstanding staff....pretty good beer.....great food...sufficient tvs....awesome music at a correct volume.....INCREDIBLE happy hour specials. The food specials have been excellent every time...most recently IPA marinated Kobe beef flank stake...cooked a perfect medium rare.....pancetta and cheddar risotto....broccolini...$28 hell of a deal for the quality and portion size. Simply...one of the better places and damn good value when in Breck !

Everything is belchtastically fattening (as it should be at a brewery). The food is heavy and satisfying and I really enjoyed the vanilla porter. The only thing slim is the short list of 8 beers to choose from. The Happy Hour is hard to beat with half-price beer ($3!). Cheers!

Came here for dinner tonight, checked in with a group of 7, got taken upstairs. Server took like 5 mins to great us- no greeting with water. First off- I'm a server and I have worked in some of the busiest restaurants, it is easy to just say- I'll be with you shortly. Anywho waiter came over- wasn't so friendly- but I felt with the place and atmosphere it kinda worked. He told us we could only order drinks and he would return with them even though we were ready. I got the pumpkin stout it was good. Ordered our food- got the south west burger- pretty bomb. Gave it four stars because if the food. Service went downhill after food came especially when check was dropped. We were the last table too. But whatever, I know some people have bad days. Would come again for the food... Maybe.

This is a pretty standard stop for me whenever I hit Breckenridge, whether I want good brewery meal or just need to grab some beer for the weekend. Unfortunately, it's also a standard stop for everybody else. It gets pretty crowded, and it seems the last few times I've stopped in for weekend supplies it's looked half barren. Still, the beers are consistently good and the food is equally reliable in flavor and quality. The employees are obviously happy here, because they're friendly and helpful. The only real downside is the crowd, but I don't fault the brewery for that. I don't think there's ever been a time I've skipped this place when I'm in town, and doubt there will be in the future. Cheers!

Nice place. Super clean and spacious. I didn't love the beers BUT I don't love beer generally. On my palate beer leaned bitter but I only tried 4 tastes- really nice staff. Burger supposed to be delicious. Nachos too cheesy not beany enough but quality ingredients. Switching three star to four since I am not a beer drinker. I think beer drinkers would dig this place.

The beer was fantastic but the food pretty lame. Ate here one night with my wife and some fellow conference goers. I don't eat meat and so the menu was extremely limited to a very greasy looking fish and chips and a bland vegetable sandwich. We had starters of fried jalapeños and nachos. The nachos were OK but the fried jalapeños were too greasy. We shared the veggie sandwich which was bland, again the fries way too greasy. The beer was very tasty, so it wasn't a total waste of time but I don't think I would be back unless they spruce up the menu.

My Husband and I were in Brek with his Father and Wife for a two day jaunt. I had bookmarked this brewery and suggested we go there after we walked through the art festival they were holding in the village. I think we all worked up quite a thirst walking around in the unexpected heat, and more so after we walked up the hill to get to the brewery. We were seated almost immediately upon entering, we opted for outside which was on the balcony upstairs. Our server was prompt, friendly and worked her section casually but perfectly for a lazy Sunday dinner. I had to order the flight of beers knowing it may be a while before I make it back out there. I loved all of them, some less than others, yet those were made up for with the agave, the IPA, the porter,... the list goes on! The hubs jumped in and ordered a big amber. The parentals ordered margaritas, all of which were on happy hour!! I can't remember exactly what everyone ordered but I can definitely say I still can taste the amazing sandwich I ordered! I had the turkey, bacon, Brie sandwich. Oh man was it tasty. I have dreams of this awesome sandwich. Just the right amount of butter on the perfectly grilled bread, melty cheese, crisp bacon... Too much good stuff! I was stuffed after half due to the richness so I offered it around. My Father in law took a bite and felt the same way I felt when I ate the first half! I wish this place existed in LA, I'd be there all the time!

I absolutely adore this place. The Agave Wheat, Vanilla Porter, and Avalanche Ale are my favorite beers and their artichoke dip is some of the best that I have ever had. You can't beat the prices (especially during their happy hour). Do yourself a favorite and visit this place at least once while you are in Breckenridge. Best when visited after a day of skiing.

If you're a vegetarian and like a good homemade veggie burger, this is the place. I "made my own" veggie burger with provolone, guacamole, and roasted red peppers and it was probably one of the best I've ever had. The peppers tasted super fresh (as opposed to out of a jar, like most places would serve). My friends' meals were also tasty if you're a meat-eater! And don't forget to have a dessert.. so so good.

All Breckenridge Brewing locations are awesome, but there's just something about this spot in the Town of Breckenridge that makes me pull in each time I'm in town. The beers are great, of course, and the food is always good. But if you can get on the upstairs patio on a sunny day, you just can't find anyplace better. Soaking up the beautiful views of Breck while having a cold craft beer is the simple awesome. If you want a snack, the wings are good and the beer cheese fries are amazing. Seriously, I don't even have words for how decadent and delicious those fries are. Yum!

Really neat spot, in an amazing town. Friendly staff, and very good food. I ordered the Autumn Chili beer, which was surprisingly good. I figured the infused beer might be a fun try, just once, but it left me wondering if I can find something similar back home. I ate the 50/50 sandwich, which was great. It had bacon (ground I think?) missed into the actual beef patty. Quite good. My only complaint was that although the server was friendly, she was a bit aloof, and left me for a few periods that I could have used a refill, and I waited a bit to get the check. Other than that, it was a great experience. I'd certainly return!

This is just a review for the beer and appetizers. I am oddly still full from breakfast! I am happy to say that pitchers of beer are $6 every day 3-6pm! Happy Hour for appetizers is only Monday -Friday 3-6pm. The Edamame is a good option for $5 and makes me feel healthy while I embibe. Next up the man requires sweet and spicy wings-OMG these are killer! I don't know if they are fabulous because of the beer...but just to be safe...order the beer! I would have given them a 5 star but...even if you're busy....beer should go into a cold glass! Not hot out of a dishwasher! Thankfully the Avalanche was awesome! And the fact that the pitcher of fabulous beer is $6...did I mention that already? Oh well...in closing...I'll just say, for $6 pitchers of Avalanche... I'll be back!

being from pittsburgh, we only get a taste of colorado's many beers back home. this happens to be one the brands i've been able to try before coming to colorado and i was already in love. we spent the day in breckenridge so we knew we had to stop at the brewery. we sat up on the small patio so we could see the view of the town and a bit of the mountains. our server was super nice. we asked her a lot of questions about the area, all of which she answered and pointed us in the direction of the welcome center if we needed more info. i ordered the agave wheat beer, which i had never tried before, and my boyfriend got the mango pepper ipa or something like that, which he also had never tried. we loved both. we even got a 6 pack to go. i ordered a soup and salad. both were good but not great. definitely check the place out for the beer, but maybe check out somewhere else for food. although, i can only speak for the buffalo cheese soup and house salad. also, be aware, the place is rather small. there is no brewery tour offered or anything like we were hoping.

We took a side trip up to Breckenridge from Denver and decided to have a beer and some grub at the Breckenridge Brewery. Great choice! We ordered the Avalanche (Amber) beer and my travel partner had the vanilla porter, both were excellent beers. We also were a bit hungry and ordered the nachos with added chicken and guacamole and WOW. These were the best pile of nachos we've eaten and we're from Austin Texas where nachos are a'plenty! Stacked high with just the right amount of cheese, black beans, big hunks of chicken, and a large scoop of guacamole and sour cream. My mouth is watering just writing about them! We also saw some sandwiches come out and they looked equally good, large portions and very appetizing. If you're ever up in Breckenridge, come hungry and thirsty!!

The concierge at our hotel told us to give this place a go. I was not let down. As we walk in, there was no one at the designated host podium, and there was just a mass of people everywhere (both patrons and staff). Once we found the map of the tables (that the host uses for seating) we found a person that knew what to do with it. We got seated upstairs. That little fiasco was the only reason I docked a star. Our waitress, whose name I just can't remember, was fantastic. Very attentive, always quick, and definitely had some knowledge of beer. After I picked my first beer (Vanilla Porter), I told her to pick one for me. She grabbed a double IPA of some sort and it was delicious. I got the Kansas Burger, which was on the specials board that night. It was antelope meat, topped with duck bacon. I got it medium rare. The flavor of the meat was great! I love antelope. I was kind of disappointed in the duck bacon though. I usually enjoy duck, but apparently not in bacon form. It was crispy, yet tough and chewy.. all at once. The flavor was over taken by the texture of it. The fries were just fries, nothing bad about them, but nothing to rave about. I love the fact that you can watch the staff work on the brewing process of their beers. Really cool. They also have a few TVs showing some awesome skiing videos. I really enjoyed my experience here and I would love to come again when I am back in town in March.

Stopped for a late lunch while in town and sat on the patio. Very enjoyable! Husband had a beef burger and I had the elk with green chiles and Swiss. I also tried the black bean soup. Food was much better than I had read! We did get a sampler and enjoyed the tastings.... Though not all were available! (Agave wheat).... Give it a whirl!

My favorite way to have the vanilla porter is on nitro, and it paired nicely with the hardy elk meatloaf dinner plate. The atmosphere was quite laid back for a Broncos Monday night football game. I really like the high top tables and chairs. Cheers!

I liked Breckenridge Brewery so much I visited twice during my short stay in town. Beer: Vanilla Porter is their most popular beer, but the Vanilla is too strong for my taste. The best two beers I had were one offs; a double IPA and a dobblebock, both excellently brewed beers. There are a lot of good options on tap for any palate, included a craft light beer and wheat beer. Happy hour is great here, 3-6pm daily $3 drafts. Weekdays also see happy hour half priced apps. The fried jalapeños are a must; fresh sliced peppers with a light batter coating and deep fried. The service here is solid and they have a lot of TVs and a full sports package. Breck The only downside is that this place gets packed; it's crowded for a reason. Everyone is welcome here, families, couples, ski bums; they all pour into and stay for a few drinks.

The Breckenridge Brewery is a hometown favorite. They have a decent selection of brews on tap, specially concocted for you and to go along with its fantastic menu. Though many of the dishes are classics, for example meatloaf, there is a twist, the meatloaf is made with elk meat. After a hard day on the cold slopes you can get the home cooking you need to warm your tummy right here. I had the elk meatloaf which was tasty, my girlfriend had the loaded nachos which looked like a mountain and the boyfriend had the buffalo chicken beer cheese soup; it may look small but it is very hearty. Be warned: they get really packed and the wait can be long. When they are busy the staff is not super attentive or helpful.

It really counts for something when a craft brewery has not only amazing beers, but genius food. Went with the standard Agave Wheat which is an unfiltered wheat beer. Beautiful color with a great mouth feel. Carbonation is very light and goes down smooth. Great session beer. The beer cheese soup fries are a great take on an old standby app. On the surface, they look like standard cheese fries; however, the applewood smoked bacon really adds a great sweetness that most miss. The cheese soup that is at the bottom of the plate is where they get their variation 100% correct. It adds a depth to the fries that don't make it necessary to have ranch or ketchup with these. I went bacon crazy on this visit. For the entree I had Bacon wrapped Turkey meatloaf. The mashed potatoes at the bottom were very rich and flavorful. Meatloaf was nice and moist with the right amount of spices. What kinda topped this off for me is the bacon was prepared differently, which meant I didn't have to deal with the sweat flavor again. Full disclosure, my wife and I actually made two trips to this establishment in a 24 hour period. Once for lunch, once for dinner. Both visits the food was great, beer epic, and staff was ridiculously friendly. I recommend anyone new to Breckenridge Brewery to try the sampler and find that "beer for you", but also ask them what they have in their utility tap. During our visit they had a Peach Zwickel that also had some great vanilla characteristics. All said, any time I am near Breckenridge - I will be making a point to visit and enjoy the eclectic menu, great atmosphere, and amazing brews.

Awesome happy hour and bartender! Didn't try the food, but the beer is worth the stop.

Well...I just don't like average. Call me a beer snob if u like but never mind. I like what I like. Half the beer flight was okay, half we were not into or were just plain blah. No, we don't do vanilla porter. IPA & double IPA were flavorful. Mostly the food was a bit blah. The chicken sandwich was dry and a bit over cooked. The edamame "hummus"(sp?) needed just a bit more olive oil or something since the consistency was more pasty than dip - able. So maybe stick with a burger. A beer you know and you'll be alright. I don't want to be snobby about the local guys but standards and quality are important. The bar is set pretty high for Colorado beer. Be a player not a tourist trap. And hey guys, so is the food & service! ;-)

This is the very first restaurant we went to when we arrived here at Breckenridge. I was so disappointed since I was looking forward to eating and tasting their beer. First, parking is so limited. Second, as soon as you walk through the door, the smell of "spilled beer from the party last night" overpowers you. Third, the beer that I had, vanilla porter, sucked big time. I was told it is on the dark side (which it is) and hoppy (which it is not). It looked like a watered down beer with absolutely no body or flavor at all. Fourth, we had the elk meatloaf, which is really dry and the chicken caesar salad, and of course the chicken is also dry. To top all this, I saw 2 servers, not on their breaks mind you, drinking beer... I guess that is ok since they work in a brewery...

Great food to complement excellent beers. Busy during the winter but you can maneuver your way to the bar and grab a couple beers while you wait. During the summer it's easy to be seated. Servers are usually attentive and have a good sense of humor. You gotta stop by on your stay and find their beer when you venture back home!

Great beers, super friendly staff. They brought all the kids at the table etch-a-sketches to play with while we waited for our food. Everyone in our party of 10 enjoyed their food.

Stopped in for a quick beer after dinner down the street. Mistake! Everyone else at the bar was eating and it looked great. Large portions, hearty food. Mmmm. Obviously their beer is good. They had seasonal a and the classic favorites that everyone loves. Always a good place to stop in.

Good micro brews and good food. Stay away from the fried jalapeños if you want to keep your taste buds for the remainder of the meal. I had the turkey, apple and Brie sandwich and my husband had the 50/50 burger we enjoyed them and they were reasonably priced. TIP... Draft beers are $3 after 3pm my fav was the White Wedding Wheat

Despite the long wait, we thoroughly enjoyed this spot. We had beer fries, the ribs, and the Quandary burger. Well prepared, tasty, and filling. We will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Not the "finest fare" in town but well worth the wait. Boarder waiter was great and knew his stuff, not over the top loud even when it was packed and one of the tastiest pub steaks I've had. And a $3 salad?! Doesn't exist on NYC. Worth your time and your buck.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend of ours that has come here before for drinks. Plus we had some kids with us, so we needed a family friendly environment. One word to describe this place: BUSY It was packed from the top to the bottom. We came here on a friday night, and there were people everywhere. If you're coming as a big group, expect a half hour wait. They told us 20 minutes, but it was far more longer than that. Once you get settled, they give you a vibrating puck to let you know when your table is ready. Well a few of us decided to go to their bar and order a few drinks before we get seated. The prices of the beer were extremely reasonable. Just $3 for a beer. I had the Vanilla Porter. I've had a few other Porters before, dark and heavy beers. Not something you can throw back. It was okay, but nothing to be amazed. Consensus from the group like the double IPA the most. The restaurant has two levels, and is decently lit. It has your cabin feel to it. The middle of the restaurant has 3-4 huge tanks and a bar built around it. There isn't a whole lot of seating if you're waiting, so be prepared to stand for a long time and get bumped a lot from people entering and leaving. When we finally got seated, they had us at the top level. The Menu is fairly basic and it's consisted of sandwiches and main course meals. Expect to pay between 11-40 dollars per person, depending on what you get. As some have stated, it's over glorified bar food, but it's expected from a brewery. I ordered the Bison burger Vegas Style. You have two choices from regular ground beef to the Colorado Bison meat. Then below it you'll have 4-5 options to make the burger more personalized. My Vegas style consisted of Bacon, Avocado, Fried onion strings, and Tomato. Your side item can be either mashed potato, fries, salad, etc... I just chose the fries. The wait was standard from 15-20 minutes for our food. The presentation was actually pretty good and the plating was good. The burger itself wasn't too bad. It really could have used some seasoning to give that Bison some flavor. Otherwise it was kinda dry. Oh and just a note, they all come cooked medium. FYI, if you're in a large group, they automatically add a gratuitous fee. Overall I thought the place was solid for a large group of people and the food was above average. Service was good.

Outstanding brews and burgers. Grateful Dead playing constantly. You must try the mango chile beer. Perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweet and heat.

The food was alright, burgers were tasty and customizing it was great, but it can be a little pricey. What sets it apart is the service and their beer. The beer was delicious and the waitress was so nice even though we were a huge party of 11 who kept changing their minds and wanted to split the bill. Also a decent place for families :)

Beer: yum. Food: alright. Me and my family tried a lot of their beers including Breck the halls, avalanche, vanilla porter and a few more. Overall they were all pretty darn tasty. The food was alright. We got the artichoke dip and beer cheese fries which were both pretty good. I ordered the blackened tuna burger and it was mehhh. Not the best burger I've had. I also had the black bean soup which was alright. My brother got the special which was pretty good, and my cousin got the bison burger which was pretty darn big. We went on a Saturday night so the place was PACKED. We had a party of 8 so we waited for about 30 minutes for a table, but we managed to find a little space at the bar to chill while we waited which was nice. Overall, pretty good place, and it's really popular for people when visiting Breckenridge.

4/14/2014 Overview: service was bad, food was just ok and the area around the table should have been cleaned before we were seated (mashed French fries and orange peels on floor under and beside table in clear view). So I've been here a couple times before and beer was the #1 focus previously and that is definitely something they do well. Now I'm gluten free and can't drink the beer but they have several gluten free food options and they have wine as well. We shared the nachos which were soggy, I ordered the smoked salmon salad, hubby ordered hearty chicken pasta and green chili. Both of us were underwhelmed by the entrees (bland), hubby's soup never came, then we had to ask it be removed from the bill. Hubby liked his beers. Kids ordered standard fare: chicken fingers and burger which were good. And they also had choc chip bread pudding for dessert which kids liked. Brian (server), didn't check on us for awhile, when he did, we asked for more water which he didn't bring until asking a second time. Had to wave him down to order dessert and again to get the soup taken off the bill. When we said we didn't get the soup, he seemed stunned but not apologetic ("oh, you didn't get it?", yet he brought everything that came to our table). He never owned any of the mistakes that were made which made them seem intentional.

After a long day (flying into Denver, driving to Breckenridge, then zip lining), we were searching for a place for beer and Thursday night football. We love beer, and we always search out the local places that will serve local beer. What is better than a local Brewery... not much :) We didn't eat here but we did enjoy a few beers at the bar. I wish we had eaten here because the food looked better than the restaurant we ate at that night. I also wish I had more room in my stomach for the 8 beer sampler for $12. Great service and great beer... perfect ending to our night.

Beer is good but besides the beer fries the food is just ok. Wish they would hire a better exec chef and cooks. Been going for years because I like the beer and atmosphere but just not a huge fan of the food.

Came here for lunch last Saturday as we were visiting the area and my husband was beyond excited to visit. We arrived around 12pm and had no wait. We were lead up to a table on the 2nd level. Service here was good as our server was always nearby to ask if we needed refills. Each employee we encountered was very polite as well. To drink, my husband tried a couple of beers he had not heard of before and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had a mimosa after seeing one being poured at the bar and it was fine. The bottom of the glass was all warped and so I drank it quickly to keep from it toppling over. We were provided with our own jug of water, which was perfect as the altitude was making us pretty thirsty. For food, I had the reuben with a side of coleslaw and my husband had a bacon burger with fries. I asked for a suggestion between the reuben and the turkey sliders and it was outlined that the turkey burgers has not much flavour to it and they would be best with a different cheese choice. Interesting as I thought brie would be delightful on them. The reuben itself was very good. The bread was fresh and thick cut and the meat was tender without any fatty bits. The coleslaw, however was not very delightful. It was a large bowl and the dressing was a smidge of creamy with a whole lot of watery. There was no flavour to it and so it was like eating soft, soupy cabbage. Plop. My husband's burger was just okay and he ended up leaving most as it was overdone. The washroom situation is a mild nightmare. There is a washroom on the upper level that is coed and surrounded by tables. Fine, if you wish for the entire area to know that you're occupying it. The women's washrooms downstairs consist of two stalls and is tiny. The door flew in to many people while I was washing my hands as there was a line up of 5+ and one of the stalls was out of order. Terrible. Overall, this is a nice place to come to for drinks but we weren't impressed with the food. For the price, you could eat anywhere else in the city and likely have a more impressive meal.

We ordered the flight of beers (4oz portions of all the beers they have). We found two each that we enjoyed, the others seemed disappointing. I ordered the buffalo meatloaf sandwich. The bread was good, and the meatloaf the same; however, I definitely could not tell it was buffalo. It seemed mystery-meatish. The gravy served with it had way too much flour in it and was very tasteless. I ordered a salad for a side, and asked for caesar dressing with it. When the bill came out the waiter had charged me $2 extra for the caesar. Sure the caesar seemed like actual caesar, but the salad was lackluster and the waiter had never said anything about an extra charge. The tables outside were half to a quarter sunny even though they had umbrellas and the surrounded area which we were seated by was trashy and not taken care of. Not horrible, but nothing to write home about.

Rude service, inconsistent policies and management. Funny to be treated so poorly at a place I spend at least $100/week at. Clearly tourist time is picking up they don't need my business anymore and won't be getting it! Sarah was the rudest manger I have encountered in the "service" industry

You should definitely try the vanilla porter. Be forewarned, however, you'll fall in love, go home, and buy the bottled version, only to be disappointed by the lack of vanilla in your porter. We popped in quick beverage at the bar. You can't have a beer (or three) without also having some snacks, so we ordered the pork wings ($9) and ahi fingers ($11). "It's just a bit after happy hour, but I can still get you half price on those," the bartender states when we placed our order. Way to score an extra star for BB. Pork wings (now $4.50) were fall-off-the-bone tender and ahi fingers (now $5.50) were well seared.. While the food is pretty tasty, it's the vanilla porter that keeps me coming back.

We have eaten here several times and the food always seems to be great! The bison burgers are big and delicious! Others at the table had a chicken burger, the thanksgiving diner and the chicken pasta and everyone was pleased with their meals. The place is big and pretty loud but that's what I would expect from a brewery... We will return!

Good beer. Bartenders were super friendly and accommodating and even made us mini mint juleps on the house during the Kentucky derby. We didn't eat, but the our neighbor's food looked and smelled delicious. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

In town for a 3-day conference. This was dinner at the end of day 1. Had always liked their beers (widely available throughout Colorado), so that was a good start. I ordered the Buffalo Burger, "Bronco Style" (cheddar cheese, bacon, and BBQ Sauce). Poor choice on my part as the flavors did not blend well for me. That being said, the food itself was well prepared. However, our server was pretty poor. When we sat down, I had said that we needed a food check and a separate alcohol check (due to the way my office is reimbursing meals), and she said ok. Come to the end of the meal, one check. I made my request again and she looked at us like we were insane. Not a good way to get repeat corporate business. 2 beers & 2 entrees = $40

I have never been anywhere where ive felt so unwelcome. The bartender wouldnt take our order before the "locals" even though we were there before them.he told the locals the happy hour specials, but not us and gave out pumpkin seeds to them but not us. We were going to order food but was never asked if we wanted anything until we were almost done with our beer and then we were barked at. The beer was ok at best. I had the Avalanche- it had a nasty odor when sniffed but tasted better than it smelled. A few days before I had an issue with an allergic reaction with something in the Christmas ale at a bar in denver. I have never been allergic to anything before. I asked the manager if i could find out what ingredients were in it for future reference- i was not rude or accusitiory, but was laughing at myself for being allergic to something. She said shed go check her email and woukd be right back... When she did, she waved a piece of paper in my face and stated, "see, no spices. You must be allergic to malt or hopps".(what kind of christmas ale doesnt have spices???) I have had literally hundreds of craft beers- and have NEVER had a problem with malt or hopps. She snipped, wrll, hes the head brewer, he knows what hes talking about- then turned around and walked away. Needless to say, i will not be purchasing another breckenridge product again, based on customer service. We have gone to literally hundreds of craft breweries across the country and i can say, hands down, the ones in Summit county colorado are by far and away the rudest to nonlocals i haver ever encountered. The snow caps are warmer than the service we received.

Visited this location a couple of times and between the outdoor patio and bar seating, we found friendly and efficient service. Best food tried was the French Greek burger with tater tots (which were perfectly crispy). My favorite BB beer is ESB which we get at the Denver location but unfortunately this one doesn't have. Definitely worth stopping for when in Breckenridge.

I'll start by saying Breckenridge Brewery's beers have never been that flavorful to me- their Lucky U IPA isn't all that hoppy, and the Elevation.....eh, I've had many-a better double IPA. There are just so many great beers in CO that it's easy to be picky. Menu has the typical fare- pub grub, salads, etc etc. Pretty basic. But the wings? I tore those things up . Joint to joint- I didn't leave a thing left except the bone. Very cavewoman-esque. Server was really friendly and attentive. Ambiance was nice. Pricing was eh, reasonable. $9 for 8 wings seemed a bit pricey, but they were worth every bite. Short review for a fairly unmemorable experience.

Really cool atmosphere, nice friendly staff, delicious food though beer is hit or miss. The mushroom burger was delicious, Caesar salad was good and elk meatloaf was outstanding. Nachos are a must have too if you have a big appetite. Their best beer by far IMO is their limited release (on the 'secret menu') double IPA. Very very good though availability is limited which is a shame this should be on their beer menu full time. Christmas ale solid too if a darker maltier beer is your thing. Rest of brews are so-so. Food the big winner here and the cool vibe. Definitely coming back.

This was our first stop upon arriving in Breck and it came highly recommended by a staff member at the Lodge. There was 8 of us and we were seated immediately. The first floor was packed so we sat upstairs. Since we weren't used to the altitude just climbing the stairs was really hard. When we told our waitress we were Breck newbies she made sure we had enough pitchers of water on our table to make sure we stayed hydrated. Our waitress I wish I remembered her name. She remembered everything we ordered without having to write it down and we were all impressed. She gave us tips not only on the food but how to acclimate to the elevation she's a super sweetheart. The food was delicious. We all had a sandwich of some sort whether it was bison hamburger chicken or pulled pork and everything was great. The portions are very big and I wish I took the advice of eating as many carbs (my bread) to help with the altitude but I didn't have enough room! Prices very reasonable for the size plates. Beer was pretty good and a few at the table had 2-3 glasses.

Poor service. Food was good but cold and our waiter never came back to ask us if we wanted a second drink after after we were done eating. This is a brew pub and I would have liked to have a second beer but after waiting so long I just wanted my check and to leave.

Great food and great beers. Our group had the following: Appetizers: Beer Cheese Fries - Sinfully good pile of cheesy goodness. The bacon on them was amazing. Edamame Hummus - While the pita bread was outstanding I did not like edamame hummus. I could not taste the wasabi. It really tasted like edamame baby food. Nachos - Great tasting and huge. They could have been a meal for 2 or been the appetizer for our group of 10. Make sure to add the guacamole. Lunch: Reuben - The IPA braised corned beef, marbled rye and the mild 1000 island dressing made this one of the best reubens I have had. Kids Meals: Chicken Fingers - Light and crispy breading and high quality chicken tenders. Beers: Start with the sampler then move to the beer you like best. Everyone in our group had a favorite. Mine was the Stout.

Love this stop! If you're in the Breck area, definitely come by for some delicious apres ski, local beer. It gets a bit crowded at lunch time and after slope time, but worst case scenario is you have a beer in hand and wait for a table. They also have some great nachos. And cool tshirts for a great souvenir!

I've been here several times as I frequent Breckenridge quite often. I don't have anything bad to say about it other than the fact that you might have to wait a while for a larger table and it can get pretty crowded by the bar. Other than that, it's a great place to get some food, watch a game, catch up with friends, etc. Service has always been great. I've never eaten anything that I've been disappointed with but nothing stands out as crazy stellar either. Typical bar food. Beers are really good!!! It can get a bit loud at times but it's a BAR! :-)

A bit underwhelming although the space is cool...always liked their beers even though nothing is mind blowing. Only had one ipa, a pale, and a brown ale on draft...Double ipa was in bottles to go, which we grabbed. Worth stopping in for a laid back atmosphere, cute girls, and a couple drinks.

I'm a big IPA fan and Breckenridge Brewery makes my favorite, the 471 IPA. I was ecstatic to check this place out on my trip to Breckenridge. The place lived up to my expectations. The beer was as fresh as can be, the food was that hearty, stick-to-your-bones type (the loaded fries appetizer was pretty solid), and the atmosphere was that you would expect of a place in Breckenridge. It was a little cramp hanging out at the bar while waiting for our table, but that's usually a good sign when a place has that kind of a following.

Breckenridge Brewery's Happy Hour - An affordable way to get your Après-ski on, off the slopes. Cabin-casual place that can get crowded, but the brews are worth it. I love the Avalanche Ale, Oatmeat Stout and the Vanilla Porter - we ended up leaving with a to-go order a few of the times we left. The really loved these jalapeno appetizers they had, because they weren't smothered in cheese/cream, voiding out the heat of the pepper. The last thing you need is a timid pepper when you're trying to keep warm in the mountains.

  • Samir N.

Brewery named for the mountain that is within walking distance - this had tourist trap written all over it. Not so fast! The beers here were amazing. I had some sort of dopple bock that rocked my world. The agave wheat was also not bad, albeit sweet. I literally rolled in right from the mountain and was the only idiot that brought my equipment. I left my board in the doorway and it was still there when I walked out several beers later. Score! I had an awesome hanging out with some "regulars" and some fellow Michigan fans (hooray for March Madness). The food is also not bad - bratwurst tots is a great way to end a day of skiing or kickoff a night of drinking. Get there in time for happy hour to save some loot. Get some!

Cool local joint providing exactly the homey, ski town experience I wanted after a long day on the slopes. They have some good local brews and typical menu items (fried appetizers, burgers, meatloaf, etc.). There's a fairly long wait but there's a large waiting area filled with families so you can grab a few beers and make some anthropological observations. No complaints about service but it was certainly nothing memorable. The buffalo burger was good but gets pricey if you want to dress it up at all, I definitely recommend it getting it medium rare.

  • Alden C.

I fell in love with Breckenridge Brewery's agave beer almost instantly when I got my first taste of it at another restaurant so I of course had to go to their brewery and get it fresh. I was not disappointed! The food here is good too! I enjoyed my hamburger. Service can be a bit sluggish at times but the waitress was always friendly. If you are the down to earth type, expect lots of pretentiousness from other customers. That can get annoying. But hey, it is Breckenridge after all.

Your typical brewery. A winning restaurant combo, and always busy, but you just don't understand why. Our large group of 15 came on a Wednesday night and found it packed to the brim. We had a reservation but waited at least 30min before we were sat. While we waited we got beers from the bar. I tried the Agave Wheat & the Vanilla Porter. The agave wheat had just a touch of agave flavor and sweetness, but was otherwise a standard wheat beer. The vanilla porter was full and satisfying, and did have the aroma of vanilla. Menu included standard brewery fare such as nachos and burgers. It was very difficult to find something appealing on the menu that was vegetarian. Even the salads all came with meat and not much else. I ended up getting a burger with their black bean patty which was really mushy, seemed under-cooked (even for non-meat), tasteless, and had an unappealing grey color. Needless to say I was not satisfied. My boyfriend got the salmon, which was small and dried out. Even his asparagus has turned black-ish and were shriveled into sticks, rather than full spears. Seems like a good place to get some unique beer in this small town, but just don't get the munchies!

Apres-ski lunch ... hit or miss, I'm afraid. The food was very good - I had an amazing bison burger with prosciutto, goat cheese, and apricot chutney that was ridiculously tasty. They've taken my beloved tater-tots off of the menu, which sorta stunk. Service was just adequate. Good, but not GREAT.

We did not eat here, only had drinks. From the dark to the light and fruity, with hints of mango...they were all tasty. We sat at the bar and the bartender let us sample the various brews before purchasing them. Welcoming atmosphere, talkative crowd and delicious beer - cannot go wrong at the Breckenridge Brewery.

My husband and I were looking for a casual place to have dinner after a long day of skiing and decided on the Breckenridge Brewery. The night we decided to go also happened to be the night of their employee Christmas party, therefore they were going to be closing early. We had their Oatmeal Stout and Vanilla Porter, both of which were very good, but you must like very dark and strong beers. We had their spicy garlic wings and edamame for an appetizer, both were good. We also had a bacon and blue cheese burger with onion rings which was also good. The food is not gourmet by any means, but the environment was cozy and the service was good.

Service was mediocre at best. We asked our waitress about an item on the menu ' What is beer cheese soup? ' Her response - ' It's soup with beer and cheese ' . Wow - that helps, we can tell you hate your job. Ribs were okay a bit dry Buffalo burgers were nothing special Beer and cheese soup fries weren't that great Pass on this joint.

This place is definitely not amazing, nor is it something to rave about. The wait time is ridiculous, they don't take reservations, and the wait staff is interesting. Although they are very nice, they're not consistent. The food is mediocre compared to the price and the beers are good, but you can get good beer anywhere in Breck. Also, the parking is insanely ridiculous!! Walk to it, if you can, if not - take the shuttle...or better yet, experience some other place that takes pride into their food and service. I got the Vegas Burger and it was delicious, but it was definitely not spectacular. Once we got our food - we never saw our waitress again, except when she brought us our check.

I seem to end up in here more than most other places when I'm on a skiing holiday in Breckenridge as it is usually convenient to get in and out of. The beer is "ok" and their food is decent and simple fare. They have some of the largest helpings of mashed potatoes I've ever seen and that's saying something. Some of the food items are pretty good and others more mediocre. The burgers, fish, steak, and meatloaf are probably the better things to me here. Its overall a decent "a-ok" type of place to grab some food and beer. It always seems to have a decent crowd of folks so they must be doing something right.

Great place, try the elk meatloaf, the reuben is superior and several brews from which to choose--all good. Seating for six was at a pub table which worked well and iur waiter was fun, smart and quick!!!

ALL BEERS ARE AMAZING! This place knows it's a brewpub. Excellent food, excellent booze , and reasonably priced. The best place in Colorado to have fun. Atmosphere is epic. Music is great, and the wait staff is extremely friendly. Enjoy beer, bourbon, and food to the extreme!

We love good beer, good food and good service. This place has all three. The staff was so nice and helpful. Bartenders are working hard to make sure that you are not thirsty and the drink choices are very good. It was crowded and loud but lots of fun. It's really a great place to soak in the apres ski vibe. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but got drinks and an app at the bar. Food is good and filling. A good joint to bring the family as well as friends of all ages.

The food here isn't too bad, nothing special but solid for sure, but the service alone should shut this place down. Our group of 6 was treated like second class citizens, that being said we will not return.

Dirty! I was surprised by the amount of dust on the fixtures and quantity of flies all over the bar area - here's a tip, never get any drink with fruit in it, since it might have a little extra flavor from the flies. Sketchy employers hanging out behind me at the bar made up my mind to not stay and eat. Too bad, since my agave wheat beer was yummy.

Headline: The beer is in the mustard. Breckenridge brewery is our typical brewery restaurant - tyypical bar, with steel fermentation tanks much in evidence, and a menu to match. Since its also a mountain town, it's also short on service, and picks up later than normal. I tried two of the brewery beers - the Avalanche was my preferred beer as it reminds me of beers in my home country of Great Britain. the Christmas Ale (served in a goblet) was a little too hoppy for me, and I was glad of the smaller serving, or dinner, I Opted for the Duck Brat - a hotdog where. The dog is a locally sourced duck sausage, smothered in blue cheese and caramelized onions, was delicious. The bun didn't do anything to enhance the dish though. I could have done without it. I opted for a side of tater tots, which came with mustard made with eye in-house agave wheat beer. He mustard was clearly the highlight here. Tater tots a very underrated, and these were nicely done. My wife opted for the bison burger, which was very typical - get it Vegas style to add Swiss cheese, smoked bacon, avocado and crispy onion strings. The avocado is soft enough to act in the stead of mayonnaise and the whole held together nicely. The side salad was not worth the up charge, so stay with. Th starch options unless you are really against the starch options. Dessert was a vanilla porter croissant bread pudding with chocolate chips, caramel sauce and whipped cream. The croissant gave the dish a nice buttery taste, but the chocolate sauce that they used was weak making this dish strictly average. Overall, this is a good place too end a ski day, and it's a definite keeper.

The three beers we had were pretty dam tasty, the Vanilla Porter, Avalanche and the Oatmeal Stout was my least favorite but still, pretty good. The bar tender was nice and the atmosphere was pretty sweet as well with plenty of TVs for watching the game. They even have an overflow area if you didn't make it onto the bar early enough. The only reason I couldn't give them five stars is because I didn't actually stick around for a meal.

The menu has gone through a few changes this year, and not all for the better. Gone is my beloved veggie burrito. The menu has grown smaller, and seems like it's aiming to be a little more upscale, which to me is not why I come to this brewery. I liked the old pub-fare options more. As such, my favorite menu item is still the burger and that's been the most consistent thing I've eaten over the last few months, or even last few years. Everything else, including new menu items, seems to have gone up in price and way down in portion size. We've also had some iffy service at times, even when business is slow. However, service at the bar is always stellar though it can be tough to get a seat there when it's crowded. Our favorite bartender has worked there for 20+ years, so they must be doing something right with their employees, which I appreciate and respect. So, I still love the beers (especially the brewery-specific ones, which are plentiful, creative and ever-changing), love the burger, love the patio and love hanging out at the bar. Can't beat the $8 growler refills! Pints and pitchers are still a steal during happy hour. It's just not my go-to or my only recommendation to out-of-towners anymore because my experiences recently have been mixed.

I can understand that sometimes food does not come out just right, but for the server to ask to take my burger that already had been bit in to and have it recooked. This is disgusting, cheap practice and very unsanitary for everyone else that now gets to have their food cooked next to my saliva! Heck who knows if my burger was cooked next to someone Else's germs! Bottom line, this sure tells me that kitchen safe food handling is not a priority in this location?

Visiting Breckenridge for the week and decided to go here after passing it last summer. I am a sucker for good ribs and good beer. (which is why I gave 5 stars) I saw the oatmeal stout ribs on the menu and just had to try it. The ribs were very tender, tons of meat for a half rack (st Louis style so best kind) and great sauce. You can also get a dry rub if you prefer that. Their fries were nice and crispy and had a good seasoning on it which reminded me of red robins seasoning. Also, their oatmeal stout beer was tasty. Next time I'm in Breck, I will definitely come back.

They have maybe one worthy beer which is their attempt at a double IPA. Sometimes I crave one of their Avalanche amber style beers though. That being said, the beer and food is nothing to write home about. These beers would never win any awards. The food is glorified bar food worthy of at most 3 stars. The fish fry is probably the best thing on the menu if you like huge deep fried pieces of Alaskan Cod. The brewery is good for large groups and they have a cheap happy hour. I think pitchers are still $6 and pints are $2. Every now and then I go for the workmans lunch and for $8 or $9 I walk out full on a burger, fries and a beer. Good location on the South end of Town and don't bother trying to park in their tiny lot. Go park behind the brewery - especially if you plan to have a few drinks.

Mediocre food. "famous" fish and chips were bland and small portion. Salmon was dry. However the service was excellent. Pricing is what you'd expect in a ski town.

Not a bad joint. Typical bar and bar crowds. Great beer selection in my view. Food was good. Hearty bar type food. Had the Vegas burger with Mashed Potatoes. Place was waaaay crowded. Service was good but the wait to get a refill sucked. Very friendly and sociable waitress though. She was stressed but did not show it. I would recommend this place.

Stopped in for a drink and found a great happy hour! We did a pitcher of beer and the beer cheese fries and the total was 13 bucks! We were thoroughly full, the fries are soaked in the beer cheese soup and were great. Our waiter Pete was fantastic. He gave us some great conversation and couldn't have been more welcoming and cool. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!

We come here because we know where the brewery is, ('typically on the side of town we enter from) and we know what we're getting. Not that this is the best, or the worst Breck has to offer, but for us, it's reliable. The food is average pub fare. The wings are pretty yummy and the soup isn't bad either. The service is always prompt and friendly. The beer is nothing that I would write home about, but it hits the spot after a day of adventure. The price is right where you would expect it, very affordable. We like the 2 outdoor seating areas if the day is nice enough for it.

  • Michael S.

Wait and service at the front was a horrible experience as they sat 7 tables with similar party sizes ahead of us and we waited 50 min on a 30 min commit. Once seated, upstairs, it was loud. Difficult to carry on a conversation. Once we got the food, it was good. From the burgers to the fish and chips. They know how to make crispy fries (if you ask, not standard). Please note that if you use the Yelp map locator, it is not correct. It is further south on Main Street. The address is correct, just not the location on the map.

I've been enjoying the Breckenridge Brewery for about 20-years. They have many great beers. My favorite has long been the Oatmeal Stout. The food is good as well. On the food side I've had an occasional not-as-good meal. It's never been bad, but just not as strong. I'd say the food ranges from average to very good. The beer stays consistently strong. The place is often packed, which is a testament that it's a good place but can mean a wait at times. Parking can be a challenge with it being a bit off the main strip and limited parking.

Can I get three cheers for tasty beers? The Breck lite was aromatic and a lot more flavorful than one would expect from a lighter brew... but oh did it go down smoothly. Other fan favorites were the ale - Avalanche, that seemed to take the bite out of the 20 degrees of snow and ice waiting for us outside in Breckenfridge. Excellent, laid back service, delish burgers, fish & chips and their red mashers were also exquisite. Far better than the regular "bar food" one would expect from such an establishment. Salad was alright, nothing too special there. I removed one star for the bathrooms. Both the 2nd and first floor bee rooms were flipping gnar gnar. I mean, this is spring break but it sure isn't Mexico -please clean up those thangs!

We did the drinks lots of beer and order almost every appetizer on the menu thing! Right from the get go this place was packed, but somehow our large party was seated right away ... OK so far so good! Things went downhill quickly as we got to our seat, crammed in a corner with several other large parties to the point even our server had trouble getting to us, taking our order let alone hearing us. Poor girl looked exhausted! I went with the limited Pumpkin Stout and DAMMMMNNNUHHHH that was tasty! Other than that, its your usual stock of microbrews.; wheats, ales, stouts, etc *The dark Ryder was certainly a beer you could consume with a fork and knife! Not advised for beginners! Go with the Agave Wheat than work your way up to the big boy stuff! The appetizers arrived and overall were "hit-miss". The Beer Cheese Fries were incredible! Somehow the fires survived the hot cheese and managed to stay crispy and spicy ... those didn't last long. Than came the nachos ... blegh I figure Breck Brewery would go out of there way to achieve better nachos. this was your sub-standard pile up stale chips, throw on cheese, chicken, stiff blobs of guac, sour scream and wet salsa. And black olives?! Ew! Pass up these if your ordering! Moving down the table came the Pretzels and Artichoke dip. This was fantastic! However it comes with two small pretzel urrr logs? and a small bowl. This is exactly ideal to share with a large party. After our third ... maybe fourth round of beer came the fried jalapenos. These were exactly as advertised and pretty good! Would def suggest serving these with some sort of brew dip though to liven up the whole ordeal. I can easily say the hometown Breckenridge Brewery is easily dwarfed by its distant relative in Denver, which is larger, less mountainy (aka less stuck up pompous bullshit) and strangely had a larger beer selection! Either worth a happy hour visit!

Sunday night is the $14.95 prime rib night (first come first serve until they run out). We came after a hard day on the slopes and apparently so did everyone else! Our group settled with some beers from the bar while we waited. I liked the Avalanche and my friends enjoyed the IPA over 9% alcohol! We were originally told our wait was 40 min or more and we were actually seated in less than 15! Score! We all ordered the prime rib and it was huge!! At least 2 inches thick and a very generous portion! Comes with veggies and a baked potato. Totally worth it! Come early on Sunday to get the prime rib! PS. Monday night is $1 pint nights for ladies. Woot!

Our beer was not 38 degrees.. it was a bit warm. Not sure if thats how they server it, but it was still pretty good. My burger was awesome after I asked them to cook it longer.

  • Jennifer N.

Decent brews, tasted slightly flat. Here in the off season so the brews probably sit a little longer. But, the oatmeal stout was still pretty good. The IPA wasn't hoppy at all, go for the double. I split the southwestern salad with 1 other and it was enough nosh and tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Give it a try.

One of the rare few 5 star reviews. The Breck Brewery is one of my favorite bars I've ever been to. The excellent food is only surpassed by the top notch brews. Sit at the bar and make friends for life. I did. There is a warmth and genuine openness modeled by the staff that inspires the patrons. Though I am always a traveller when I get to Breck Brewery, at the same time, I'm also coming home.

Decided to go here after seeing their beer in a liquor store. The place was packed, hour wait for a table of 2. We were able to weasel into a set of chairs at the bar after about 20 minutes though. Had a steak which was good. I prefer a little red wine reduction or a peppercorn sauce though this steak came out barely seasoned. It was cooked a little rare, fortunately I like it that way. The beers are pretty good, the vanilla porter is probably my favorite. Service at the bar was friendly, but bare bone for food service. Worth checking out if you are in Breck

Love this brewery, not just because it's in Breckenridge, which is an awesome town, and not just because it's a brewery and I fuggin' love me some berr. But because the place is just great all around. The Staff, the brewmasters, the people, it's just an awesome atmosphere that I never want to leave. Could honestly stay there hours on end but unfortunately I've always got to get on the road to beat the traffic back to denver. (Damn you I-70!) It goes without saying the beer is great, the bar food is amazing (Buffalo burger: Tijuana style, side of BBQ). Go there, sit amongst the giant vats staring you in the face and have an amazing time. (Hint: Ask about the small batches)

We came here for lunch and couldn't believe how good it was and for such a reasonable price! The turkey club was fantastic, as was the beer cheese soup. Next time we visit Breckenridge, we'll be eating here!

Even before coming here, I knew I liked the beer. I really like their beer. You should probably like their beer too. But this isn't just about the beer, which is kind of weird for a brew-pub. The wings were excellent, pricing was reasonable, and service was great. Burger was great. Everything was great. Why don't I live in Colorado?

The Beer was excellent. We were a party of 5 and just got apps, 2 orders of Nachos, and Ahi fingers (a little bland). Nachos, were more filling than chips..which is a plus, but for some reason the waitress was reluctant to give us silverware. We asked for some...she brought two, we asked for more, she brought 2 more...there were 5 of us! Annoying to say the least!

Yet another place in Breckenridge where I stuffed my face. I swear the mountain air and altitude increase my appetite 10-fold. I got the Roast Beast and Cheese sandwich, and the boyfriend got the ribs for lunch. So tasty. And the fries were nice and crispy. I do love sampling locally brewed beers. I had tried their Avalanche before, so opted for their seasonal Trademark. Very tasty, not too hoppy. Perfect lunch on a lazy day in Breck.

Beer - seasonal summer good, Food - anh. Location is far from main street! Was told this location has a "much better" menu than the others. Alas, i did not agree. I would have given 2 stars, except for the beer and friendly server who was willing to split the bill in 3, and and let us split an entree. (all with a smile!) Went with the opened face streak sandwich. Good spices on the meat, pretty close to what i ordered as far as done-ness. Coleslaw ok, little minty, which i found weird. Sauce for the sandwich - ooh, now that was tasty! Due to the distance from where most hotels etc are, and lack of yummy food, i probably wont be going again.

This is the original! I've been to 3 locations now and this is one of my favorites. The food selection was good, the beer was awesome. I got to try a nice light wheat which was incredible. I try to avoid chains when I'm... well anywhere, but local chains get a buy :)

We had a group of eight people. We waited for over 50 minutes to be seated, though for the last twenty of that they kept telling us that we were "the next table" and it would be only a few minutes. We eventually just left, to be seated immediately at Lucha Cantina next door. I guess they think it makes no difference to treat tourists like this, but hopefully this yelp review will make some difference.

***3.5 stars*** 5 stars for $2 pint beer and 1/2 off all appetizers (except for nachos) for their daily happy hour between 4-6pm...with beers brewed on tap right at the location. You can't beat that! 2-3 stars for okay bar food. Chicken tenders are standard fast food quality. Ahi "fingers"--sesame crusted seared raw ahi tuna slices were served on a bed of a handfulof mixed greens, with a side wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. These were lacking in flavor, even with the soy sauce and wasabi on the side. Probably could have used a vinagrette sauce on the bed of greens. They have 4 standard local brews with 2-3 seasonal brews. I got the Agave wheat ale--a pint of orange juice colored unfiltered wheat brew with a slight sweetness and bittery hop--the closest thing they have to a hef. I personally liked their Breck Light--a light amber colored ale, crisp and light to taste, with a slight hop. Their beers were pretty decent, and tastes a lot better knowing it was only $2. Breckenridge Brewery--a great place for happy hour beers and an okay place for bar food.

Great food and beer! We came around 11pm on Thursday night, and the place was very relaxed with plenty of empty tables. The chicken tenders (5 for $8) were really delicious. It was tender chicken where you can rip off pieces in slivers, not the super-breaded dry kind. The sweet potato fries were the real treasure though. A giant basket of hot goodness to stuff your face with for only $6. And of course, the beer. Their famed Avalanche Ale was nice and balanced, but nothing like their Vanilla Porter. Rich and flavorful with hints of chocolate! A totally unique taste. Un-happy hour prices are pints for $4 and pitchers for $12. They also have a sampler with all of their regulars and seasonals for $8.

GREAT BEER! Good food also. The $6.50 "Workman's Lunch Special" is the best deal in town. We like the bison burgers (w/ fried jalapeños, cheese, and tater tots) and the fish & chips. If you drink some of their delicious homemade beer, everything tastes even better! They can get extremely busy tho, so be prepared to wait for a table.

A group of eight of us stayed in a house a few blocks behind the brewery and were excited to know this upon renting the house. Well after our first visit, it was the last. Positives, the beer. Negatives, the service and food. We arrived at about 4:50 PM. Our waiter tells us it is happy hour and they have 1/2 price appetizers. We were only stopping in for drinks but since there were 1/2 price appetizers we all ordered food. Wings, nachos, hummus, fries, etc. The fries were overdone, the wings were undercooked a bit, the nachos were not very hot. The ranch and blue cheese provided to us had the consistency of water. We pointed this out to the waiter and he didn't even offer to replace it (maybe we shouldn't have been laughing about it). The worst part was when we received our bill we were charged full price for the appetizers. When I pointed this out, the waiter said that deal ended at 5:00 and that is noted on the menu (which he did not tell us when we arrived). True it was noted on the menu, but once he told us 1/2 price no one took note of that. Nice subtle trick buddy, you got a reduced tip from everyone. We found much better places to eat thereafter, such as Motherloaded Tavern and Modis.

Great food and amazing brews on tap. Go figure, if you buy a 6-pack of breck brew here you will actually save rather than buying from the local liquor store in town. So take that word of advice from me next time you are looking to pick up any breck beer! The food is decent, typical bar food. Green chile seemed weak and watery, though. But you can't go wrong ordering a burger and fries. This place is huge, but the parking lot is not. And it gets retardedly crowded during the season.

  • Mark L.

Food and beer are good. The highlight of our most recent visit was seating on the balcony facing the mountains. Even without the view, I would still go back. But outdoor seating, and most certainly the balcony, make this a great evening. As for beer, I highly recommend the hoppy varieties. The staff are very friendly.

Happy Hour is the shiznit! $6 pitchers... (grab an Avalanche) $2 pints 1/2 off apps Food is pretty good... I'd give it a B+ thus only 4 out of 5, but the Sweet and Spicy Wings were REALLY good... and I don't even like chicken wings! Def should stop by for Happy Hour... place gets busy too when people get off the mountain.

Disclaimer I went to the brewery for the beer not the food. Definitely order the 8 sampler for $13. It gives you a chance to try all the beers plus the seasonals before ordering a pint. FYI pints are $3 at happy hour. My favorite was the Agave an American style wheat beer. The BF liked the Solitude which was an unfiltered wheat. We split the artichoke dip which was creamy, hot and served with soft pretzel bread. Pretty awesome way to end a day on the slopes.

My 4-star review isn't really fair because I don't like beer that much. However other reviewers didn't mention as often the best items in my opinion: bourbon and appetizer pork shanks. Both of these make it worth a visit. A lot of reviewers didn't like entrees so much. I found the vegetarian bean soup and pork shanks ( yes, I spot the contradiction) were excellent. House wine mediocre. I suggest either drinking bourbon or beer.

The beer is good, the food...not so much. The first time I visited here last year I got food poisoning. The second visit recently was better only in that I didn't end up out of commission for a few days afterwards. The beer is great, I love the Vanilla Porter and that is what earned the stars. I went with a group of 3 for lunch, myself and a couple. We all had the same thing (burgers which were fine). I did order my bacon extra crispy and that message was definitely not relayed to the kitchen. The kicker for me about the meal was that when the bill came we put two credit cards with it. The waitress swooped by and grabbed them before I could tell her to just put one meal on my card. I didn't chase after her because I thought for sure she would come back to inquire as to how to split it. No way would she just do it down the middle with three people, two of whom were obviously in a relationship, right? Nope, she just didn't give a crap and put down the slips with everything split up even steven. It is not really a big deal but it did seal the deal that I am totally over Breckenridge Brewery. With good beer that I can buy at the store, mediocre food and a waitstaff that just can't be bothered to take care of their patrons, I just can't be bothered to stop here anymore.

This is a great place with great food and service. I had the buffalo burger with the bronco trimmings(I added sauteed onions & mushroom) and fries. They were delicious. I also had the avalanche beer. It was superb. Check out this place while you're there. The parking lot is not that big, so get there early:-).

Great vegan burgers, fried (tater) tots. Plays sports on the many TV's all the time. We aren't fond of this, but the food more than makes up for it. Tons of options for toppings for the burgers: everything from roasted red peppers, guacamole, onion straws, and goat cheese...too many to list.

Locals and turn visitors favorite this place goes through beer like its water. Excellent variety of microbrew beers, great happy hour and probably the best bar food in town. The bar tenders are rockstars, hands down, the are quick and courteous, I love sitting at the bar and watching them work the crowd, they never seem overwhelm and no one waits longer then a minute to order, they are good at scanning the crowd and making sure everyone is server. The food is good quality and excellent! Don't miss this place if you are in town.

I've been coming here since they first opened. I used to really love this place, but for some reason, it just feels like they've gotten complacent and sloppy. The beers are still very good, though other breweries in the area are giving them a run. We almost always get nachos or a burger, but the last time we brought a large group and had a big mix of things. Nachos, still OK, but missing some zing. Burgers looked good, but I didn't taste. The kids meals were good and they did substitute healthy things which my kids prefer for the standard french-fries. The ribs looked ok, but maybe a little overdone. The ahi tuna was not all that flavorful. The rice was a bit dry and there wasn't enough of the mango salsa that came with it. I still like the place for burgers, beer and ball-games. But for dinner, you can do better, especially down the road at the Dam Brewery where everything we've had has been really good.

Breckenridge Brewery holds a special place in my heart, as you see my wife and I wound up meeting some of the dearest friends we've come across at this particular location. The food here is OK, definitely not bad and not overly memorable. The beers however are fantastic, the atmosphere is great, it's a great place to watch a game or bring the family for a meal. The service is also quite good here. So, 3 stars for the food, 4 for the beer, and my 7th grade math teacher taught me how to round up.

This is a brewery folks. Great beer and some very good food to go with it. I got a draft beer and was surprised it wasn't colder. Maybe the beer crafter dudes want it a specific temp to bring out the flavors. I just enjoy beer and am not an aficionado, but I do like it cold. Anywho, we enjoyed the visit and were glad we went. We look forward to going back. Service was good.

I would love to give it more than 1 star, since I've been in love with the Vanilla Porter, and I was excited to visit the brewery itself. Nonetheless, my bf and I both got food poisoning from this place I have to say I'm very disappointed. Personally I believe it was the cheese fries but who knows, all I can say is that we will not be returning...

Happy Hour special: $2 beer from 3-6pm everyday. I should end the review here. Food is good sober... it's exquisite after a few drafts. Friendly bartenders, good vibe and carryout beer!

What makes for a good brew-pub? Beer of course. It must be unique, have local flavor or be widely respected in the community, and be seasonally appropriate. Food also comes to mind. A filling and somewhat balanced meal to compliment the beer is necessary for me. Third would be ambiance. I expect it to be loud as these places are often very open with seating to showcase the brewing process as well as invite locals for nightly revelry over some their favorite brews. Finally, showcasing the brewing process be it through tours, knowledgeable staff who can answer your questions, or simply reading materials and well placed relics from their brewing history. I must say Breck Brewing hits on all fronts. While not as large and entertaining as some of the other breweries in Colorado, their medium size operation is tucked nicely on the south side of the town. It takes a short walk from many of the other restaurants or do as I did and start your nights off there with their wallet friendly happy hour. Perhaps grab a sixer to keep in the fridge of your hostel! With 4 beers on tap throughout the year and 3-4 rotating seasonal beer menu, it is hard to leave this place with a thirst unquenched. The menu is filled with appetizers and entrees that will satisfy anyone but the most discerning eater. With 2 patios you have your pick of the quiet street level back patio on Ridge, or the 2nd floor patio facing main st with a view of the ski slopes. If you are a beer drinker or just looking for a nice place to take in some food and drink, BB is one of my top choices in Breck.

Service was OK. Food was OK (although my Fish, in their Fish and Chips, had too much soggy batter), but mostly disappointed when ordering a picture of beer, that it was slightly cool. When I want beer, I want it COLD. Waitress gave some excuse about them being a brewery, therefore it is what it is.

Mmmm, BEER! It's a brewery with brewery atmosphere, brewery food & brewery service. But I went for the beer and I left very happy. I recommend the Avalanche and the limited 150 Scottish. All in all, it was an enjoyable time.
