I'm not a drinker, so I have no opinion on whether the wine is worth the price. Frankly, I came here to get my paint on and I was tickled pink with my experience. Essentially, Posh is part-painting lesson and part-chill sesh. Yes, you will learn a little about painting, but it's a very open atmosphere that allows customers to deviate from the "lesson" and focus more on creativity and having fun with a blank canvas. The instructor on my visit was very helpful and didn't scold or over-instruct. This is something that I was hesitant about. I don't have much painting experience, and I didn't want that to prevent me from having fun. She was there for questions but not for criticism. Woo! It's a little pricey, I won't lie. I went with my girlfriend and our total for the evening (including drinks and tip) bordered on $100. That said, it's a great date idea and is sure to get you plenty of smooches. (What, what!) I took my painting home that day and am totally pleased with what I was able to produce in a couple hours. Highly recommend it. Plus, they played some sweet Journey songs.

Want something different and fun for girls night out, couples, team building,kids... Try a new wonderful place.. Posh near Pearl Street mall. I was visitng a friend from out of town and decided to take my friend. I have done a few at other places before but it was a first time for my friend. We had a Blast painting Fresh Snow with Loyd. Our painting came out so great and Loyd was paitent and gave us person attention..he had a great sense of humor and made us want to come back again and again.. It is well worth the $$ They serve wine and beer which is a added bonus.

The instructor here at Posh was a LOT of fun and interacted a lot with everybody (of all skill levels) and taught at a good pace, much like the instructors at Sipping 'n painting at Denver. Perhaps the instructor here was funnier. But the only reason I will go back there is for the instructor! In all other matter POSH needs major improvements. 1. While they say $3 for wines and beer on their website, all wines are $6 a glass, and the glass is really not a glass - the amount of wine you get for $6 is less than the sampling of wine you get for free at other restaurants. So for $35 dollars here you are paying ONLY for the painting, not the drinking. 2.Then comes the lighting in the room. It is very difficult to see the colors of the paints you are mixing because of the glare from outside and the lights inside. POSH PEOPLE - if you are reading this - please fix this problem! I thought I was putting light blue, but it was greenish blue and I have great eyesight! 3. THen comes the paint. I think the paints are of inferior quality or diluted at POSH. I am not an expert but it felt like I needed a lot of paint to get the paint to stick on the canvas. 4. Lastly, the women who run POSH should be a little flexible. They tell you where to sit so it feels like a classroom, unlike sippin and painting where they greet you at the entrance with a big smile and tell you to sit whereever you want to! THis is supposed to be fun, NOT a class!- POSH - you will lose customers soon if you don't let them have fun! 5. Also, have fans for drying the canvas. I got paint in my car on my way back when I took the painting home! I wonder what happened to the people who had a thick coating of paint on their canvas! If you live in Boulder are ready to take a bus/drive to Denver go to sipping n painting instead of going to POSH. For $40 you get a glass of wine (included in the costs) and all the painting stuff and a better painting studio (not as bright as POSH). POSH - you should change some of your policies. Charge $40 and give free wine (and not just a few sips but an actual glass), have free cheap snacks, and let people sit wherever they want. Also have a fan for people to dry their painting before they get paint in their car!

So I had never done one of these wine and paint things until this past Saturday night at Posh. If you are reading this review right now, thinking about whether it would be a good idea to try it for the first time, I strongly encourage you to get on their website right now and sign up. I surprised my lady friend by leaving the sports bar we were at (and not finishing the football games we were watching... painful, but it was worth it) and walking one block over to Posh for a night of drinking and painting. She LOVED it, and we both had a blast drinking wine and attempting to paint the Telluride Valley. We got there a bit early and were the first ones in, we picked our seats and then the owner, Chelsey, got us our paint and offered us a drink. The beer and wine by the glass is only $3.25 which is great, or you can buy a bottle of wine for $13, we opted for the bottle. People started trickling in and the actual instruction started a little bit later than the posted time. Chelsey is great, she makes it easy to follow along, she plays music and dances around her studio while she's waiting for the students to catch up to her and she will help you achieve your vision of how your painting should look. The way it works is she goes step by step, explains how to do each step as simply as possible and then gives you time to complete that step. The outcome is that everyone is having a great time, each person has a similar but very unique painting and at the end of all of it you have an awesome, out of the ordinary night out on the town and a nice canvass painting to bring home. You have to go check this place out!

I'm really upset with the experience a friend and I had here the other night for a girl's night. First of all, I had assumed, that since this is a wine and painting studio, that the atmosphere would be relaxed and fun. I however, was completely wrong. The instructor on multiple occasions barked orders and "got onto" myself (and other people in the class) for using the wrong brush, putting the brush on the table (instead of on the plate), or using too much paint (or not enough paint). She felt very uptight. To the point that I was becoming anxious about "doing something wrong" and having her say something to me again. I think the worst part of the evening though, was when she came over to my canvas and altered my painting, without my consent. She didn't even ask me, and just put her brush to my painting to "fix" it. I understand I am not an artist however, if I had wanted to purchase a painting made by someone else, then I would have done that. Yet, I paid for a class to be guided on how to paint while sipping wine and having fun. I'm pretty upset that none of that occurred. I was willing to chalk this experience up to just having a bad instructor, but I found out the instructor we had is the owner of the place. I absolutely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone. The instructor/owner made it feel like we were in art school trying to get an art degree. I just went to have fun and paint a picture of some stupid poppies. Yet, I left with anxiety and a headache.

Love this place to gather for a fun memorable time with friends. They make it away for everyone to be successful creatively. They even have a wine license to make it all the more fun and get the artistic juices flowing!

1st time at a painting and wine place and it was a lot of fun! Posh hosted a fundraiser thrown by Front Range Meet Ups for Mutts & Such to benefit All Aboard Animal Rescue Sunday evening and we had a great time. We painted a dog at the beach scene (sorry, can't remember the exact name) and I changed it so I could paint my own hound into the picture. I thought the folks there would be annoyed by this but not at all! There were totally supportive of people doing their own thing. I didn't order any wine and I thought the value for the facility was right on for 2 1/2 hrs of activity. I'd like to go back and paint some of the other choices. Do it; it's fun!
