Mad Greens is good. They use high quality ingredients and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are usually enough salad artists to keep the line moving quick enough. My only two gripes are that hey keep removing tasty salads from the menu like General Custer and Nobu Seagaru and the only difference in portions between the small and regular is greens. I do and will return to Mad Greens.

There are times were you can only be satisfied by a salad. Mad Greens just happens to solve that craving. They have such a wide variety of salads that you can choose from or you can make your own. There are a ton of veggies and meats to choose from so you can probably never order the exact same thing twice. I tend to lean towards their pre decided salad choices on their menu but I am perfectly ok with that because the are so freakin delicious.

I eat at this place at least once a week. The small salad is HUGE and I guess it is a tad bit overpriced but the ingredients are really fresh. I am stuck in a bit of a rut because I love the Da Vinci - which has Baby Greens, Red Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Artichoke Hearts & Cannellini Beans - and I add in Tuna. I love the red pepper dressing - low fat, gluten free and packed with flavor. The service is awesome. Everyone is always on their game and smiling. The line moves fast. I love having a healthy, quick option for lunch and with prices starting at $5 for a good sized salad, I think that you can make the price reasonable if you set your mind to it.

I'm not a huge salad person. I don't think that eating crappy food all the time and then eating a salad every once in a while makes you a whole lot healthier than if you eat mostly healthy food most of the time. But, I can see how someone could get the craving for a salad after eating too much bread and meat, so it's nice to have a "fast" option for a salad place, like Mad Greens. Me personally, I have no problem with making my own salads, so the question is, do I want to go to the grocery store and buy ingredients to make my own or do I want to be lazy and go to Mad Greens? The only salad I've had at Mad Greens is the Big Don Quixote, which has baby greens, mangoes, avocado, jack cheese, and roasted corn. A pretty good combination, which I then add the southwestern grilled chicken and a medium amount of creamy ginger sauce to. It's a pretty good flavor combination, but the price for it is $9.10. The salad's good, but the price is just a little too high for me, so I probably won't come here too often unless I have a coupon. I could try ordering a smaller size and forgoing the meat, but, in my opinion, more salad is always better, and the only thing I can't reproduce at my home is the meat. So I guess that answers the question. It's worth more to me to go to the grocery store and buy the ingredients to make my own salad. My own salad will probably be healthier since I'm not going to throw meat, cheese, and creamy dressing on it, since I'm not trying to get my money's worth. However, to my buddies that don't drink anything but energy drinks and mountain dew, that don't eat anywhere except "out", maybe Mad Greens wouldn't be such a bad option for you. Of course, McDonald's has salad as well...

Mad Greens? More like Mad Delicious! I got the Ceasar Salad and it was great. I'd come back for sure.

MAD Greens wasn't as great as I'd hoped. However, I wanted something light, and this sufficed. I created my own salad; they have 2 sizes: regular or big. I opted for a regular ($6.50). You can only choose 4 toppings. Anything more is an extra charge. Depending on the meat you choose, it's also extra (mine was $2.25). Baby greens, corn, sun dried tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, and citrus grilled chicken with balsamic vinaigrette for $8.75 was NOT worth it!! The chicken was dry and tasteless. The broccoli appeared old & wilted (some parts were brown, and it was definitely not from my dressing). Carrots were dried out. My family ordered half panini & soup ($7.50). The panini I took a bite of was dry. The soups were decent, served at a good temperature with some wheat crackers. Overall, I would've given this place 2 stars but they earned +1 for their Maine root soda / handcrafted beverages. Their MAD Greens Signature Fresh Teas were refreshing. They have: Brewed Unsweetened Ice Tea, Passion Mango Green Tea, Signature Black Tea, Hibiscus Lemon Herbal Tea, and Pear Apple White Tea. My favorite was by far the Passion Mango Green Tea.

Ok, I've been coming to this mad greens location since the mall opened up years ago, but since the rebrand that happened recently this restaurant hasn't been the same... Employees are still happy cheerful and helpful; but the past 2 times I have visited for lunch or dinner my salads were TERRIBLE. From what I know about making salads and lettuce in general, romaine should be green, not yellow. Also chunks of inedible stalks of the romaine lettuce were all in this salad. My entire Caesar salad was filled with yellow lettuce and inedible parts.. Terrible; this is the second time in a row that the food has been less than appetizing and I'm unfortunately turned off to this place now.. Too bad. On the upside, the Cuban panini is fantastic. And let me be clear, the color of the lettuce did throw me due to its bright yellow appearance, but it was the giant inedible stalks of romaine that made this salad in particular displeasing.

Updated review tonight was horrible and it has obviously changed owners. Out of eggs, ok over that although it take like 10mins to boil. Ask for mushrooms came home with portabellas which I dislike and I asked for black olive and I got kalamata olives which dislike even more. Light dressing, is a joke, the salad was swimming. The decor has changed no real silverware or fresh cracked pepper. Will not be back. So disappointed!

Second time going and this time I wasn't as impressed. The salad gave me bubble-gut but tasted good. I will try it again. This is for the Tempe location.

Standard new age custom salad restaurant. I'm a proponent of the concept but not so stoked about the price tag that comes with it. Other salad places have this place beat because mad greens isn't as flexible with your adding of ingredients unless you want to break the bank. Also size and variety of ingredients leave you feeling a bit cheated. However their ingredients and aesthetic of the restaurant really has that organic feel that I like to immerse myself in, but this upside sadly does not leave us at net positive experience. There are better salad joints out there... Go yelp and explore.

We are regulars here. Hubby likes the DaVinci with Tuna and my fave is the Mad Molly Brown. Hubby and I began watching our calorie intake and Mad Greens helpfully provides calorie, carbs, protein, etc on the menu items. We were shocked to see how many calories some of our past favorites cost us, especially remarkable were their paninis (940 for the Annie Oakley!!!) That one almost gives me a heart attack just thinking about it....If you're calorie counting, stick to the salads! Downer here: often not enough seating during the mid lunch rush.

I'll agree with others - service is friendly and helpful - the people who work at Mad Greens are super nice. But that just doesn't make up for the high prices. I really appreciate a place that offers reasonable portions, and where all nutrition information is clearly available. However, charging $7.74 for a mediocre sandwich that probably cost them $1 in ingredients is simply not cool. If the flavor or creativity behind the food were really outstanding, I could see charging these prices. But there are many places that charge less and offer much better quality - and you can even find those places in the same area as this Mad Greens.

In a sea of bad fast food joints, Mad Greens is a refreshing change. I wasn't sure what to expect for my first visit, but it turned out to be a great experience. The person who helped me patiently explained how things worked, and stepped me through the process of building a great salad (a vegetarian version of the Ty Cob salad). The salad turned out to be yummy. I don't understand other reviewers' concerns about the price. I paid about nine bucks for exactly what I wanted. Sure, that's more than everything would have cost at the grocery store, but this was way more convenient. All the ingredients seemed to be very fresh, tasted great, and made for a nice presentation. And the people were polite and very helpful. I don't make it to central Colorado very often any more, but the next time I'm in the area I'll be back.

I feel dirty for liking a place that makes salads. It's like I'm admitting I'm too lazy to buy the ingredients... but I guess that's the (high) price I pay for convenience. They have a ton of different ingredients which means there are endless ways to customize your salad. If you don't feel like doing much thinking, they also have about a dozen special salads and paninis. The veggies and meats are all really fresh-tasting (hopefully they would - it *is* a salad place) and I love their balsamic vinaigrette. Staff is really friendly and helpful and I feel like they really care about your experience there. I had a complaint about the green peppers being off-tasting one time and the manager gave me a free salad! Bonus! Definitely a perfect fit for Boulder.

Have only been here once, and will not be returning. This chain restaurant in the 29th Street Mall did not impress me. I had a spinach salad. The ingredients were fresh and ok quality. The pricing is too high considering what is actually delivered for the money. The menu is creative. I did like reading the menu. The service was not bad. Because the salads are so much better elsewhere, and one can get custom made salads at a nonchain restaurant in town for a more reasonable price, I will not be patronizing this place again. Boulder is a very competitive market for natural foods and salads. A place must be unique, serve above average food, and give good value for the prices charged in order to survive for long in this market. Hopefully the powers that be in this chain can support this branch in researching other comparable Boulder restaurants and doing what needs to be done in order to successfully compete.

Rating (Actual): 3.5 Official Title: MAD greens - inspired eats Actual Niche: Salads & Panini's The mission: to grab me some dinner-on-the-go. The plan: head to Boulder's 29th St. Shopping Mall. The intent: CPK. The outcome: MAD greens. How did it all happen? (see below)... So, off of work I was, this being Friday and with no interest for anything in the fridge and no desire to whip something up I was in need of being serviced ;-), to being attended to, to being asked "how may i help u"....I craved that attention....and so I figured that since I haven't had a pizza in while at CPK's I'd head on over there. Driving into the 29th Street 'Shopping District' - as its called to reassure its clientele that its a fancy and special open-concept 'mall' in Boulder -I pulled in looking for a spot to park. Driving in slow to purposely hold back the traffic so that I could flash my signal for the first sign of a potential parking spot, I found none, and headed to the main parking lot around the plaza (by the corner of Panera bread) and found me a place to park my ride. Walking in the direction of CPKs, my eyes caught the glimpse of something shiny and new...pulling my glasses closer to my eyes...I read the sign in purple and green calling to me......"MAD greens." What's this I thought? A vegan, rastafarian inspired, new-age, healthy food restaurant, with bright lighting and contemporary interiors? - hmmm.....something to check on out for all those Yelpers in the area I thought :-) (aside from a potential place to grab me some grub). Now that the advertising of the sign was starting to work I had to read the menu of course (placed publicly on display on the windows for all those curious passerby's to read - like myself).....hmmm, so it wasn't totally vegan, there is some meat inside! I had thought of going for the Castro (Cuban) Panini, but on account of it containing Ham (yea I know "*sigh*" for me for not eating pig meat; their sandwiches are pre-made & stored in a fridge awaiting to be heated up on a grill) I had to rethink my dinner moment just as my "hot" server was about to serve me. And so, the closest I could find to some 'white' meat was a "MariLyn Monroe" - smoked turkey, sun dried tomotoes, cucumbers, fresh goat cheese and a pesto spread - perfect! "I'll take that," I said as I pointed to my menu like a little kid. But me, wanting more, I wasn't going to be just satisfied with the panini. Here, I was at a dilemma with what to do on my first MAD greens experience; this place also serves up salads as its main feature of foods, and so talking to myself in my head I said. "I had to give that a try nah?" And to make it easy for me, they have MADcombos, a side of panini w/soup or salad or some combo w/drink & chips. Being the nerd I am, I fell for the 'Mad Math Combo', 1/2 panini and small MAD designed salad (you can make your own too). And to make it any easier for me, they have like 15 pre-designed salads you can choose from (some come with meat incl. or for some xtra surcharge). With too many choices, and not wanting to make my own designer salad (which they allow you to do), I asked my server what was most popular (answer: the Ty Cobb & Edgar Allen Poe Salads) and still decided to think about it. Eventually, with my server waiting ever-so patiently (and no, I wasn't holding up a line), my eyes were drawn to a salad labelled the "Dionysos" - crisp romaine lettuce, red onions, vine-ripened tomotoes, kalamata olives, cucumbers and feta cheese plus a medium red wine vinaigrette. Mmmm mmm mmm...I'm a fan of feta cheese btw. My order came to just under $10 for a panini and salad (the salad is a pretty decent size)...and off I was to devour, savor, and critique my new find. (Q) So, how'd it go? (A) The panini kept me wanting for more and the salad was ever so sumptous in my mouth. So, why the three stars? Well, first thing that got me was that they don't use gloves while warming their sandwiches, but I wasn't totally freaked out as I observed my server wash their hands before serving me and because the panini is pre-made and they did not actually touch my sandwich while warming it up, I was cool; the salad did not require any hand contact either so I was okay. But, I could see some yelpers being uncomfortable with that, and really maybe they should be wearing gloves. I took off another, star and half because they don't offer too much variety in their panini's and you can't deviate from the menu on them (unlike their salads). Plus, there was only one panini with chicken and it was clubbed with some ham, and like I mentioned you can't have it made without it ( a BIG *sigh* on behalf of all those that don't eat red meat). On the plus side, they are super big on salads, no other place in Boulder is quite like the concept they've got (15 different types of salads), and the option to cater to your own mix-n-matches of greens, dressings, and meats; & HOT friendly servers.

* A one star shout out because I love salads ** Their star number two is awarded thanks to their easy and free outside parking *** The last third star is handed over to MAD greens for their yummy looking panini's. My coworker got one and I was jealous! When the spinach E. Coli thing broke out, I was horrified. I bring a beautiful spinach salad to work everyday for God's sake! That's right, hardly a day passes where I don't show up with my 3-pounder salad with the works. When the E. Coli epidemic broke out I had to throw away my salad. You should of seen my sad sad face. I was depressed. To try to cheer me up my coworker took me to Mad Greens.... This way I could get a salad with a different kind of lettuce and still have a delicious meal, even if it wasn't my usual. After I put everything on the salad that I like to eat, the scrumptious mess cost me like $12! On top of that, I was not too fond of their balsamic Vinnegrette or that Asian dressing I got on the side to try. Why do they get three stars then? Because I still love salads and even though they weren't the best that time, I would go back to give it another shot.

This place has the right idea for Boulder, but the ingredients they use just are not that great. The breaded chicken that is pre-cut in little cold cubes, just does not get my mouth watering. Lots of choices but they are kind of bland. I have been here a few times and have never had anything very good.

I am a big, big fan, Mad Greens. Call me crazy, but I really like knowing what I'm putting in my body. I like knowing how many calories I'm eating, and i love when that information is easy to find, accurate, and reasonable. At Mad Greens, the calorie information for everything is listed on the menu. You don't have to take it into account, and they still offer some less-than-healthy food, but for those who are concerned about the nutrition of their lunch, this is a great compromise. I wish they would put the nutrition info on their daily soup board, but their mobile website has this information. I ordered the Da Vinci salad: mixed greens, artichoke hearts, cannelini beans, roasted red peppers, and 159 calories. Sweet. The man taking my order was incredibly friendly, accommodating and outgoing. He even gave me some feta cheese after he had already made my salad, and I'm not even sure they charged me for it. This cost me $5.50, was a good amount of food, and was healthy to boot. I will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I got the Mad Greens birthday coupon the other day and had a great lunch experience. The staff was friendly and had good suggestions on substitution. The coupon was easy to use and we loved the Ty Cobb and Build Your Own that we purchased. The food is a little pricing so we always wait for a coupon and love the salad

MAD greens...why did I have to discover you now? I've been in town since June and I'm leaving in a couple days which means I won't be able to see you again :( Fast food that's healthy? Finally!!!!! This place serves salads, soups and paninis....When I went up to order my salad (crazy ivan), the person putting my salad was very nice and even let me give input as to whether the amount of ingredients he put into my salad was enough. These are not just any salads, they are gourmet salads with fresh ingredients. They have a regular and large size. I got a regular size salad which was more than enough. It was excellent and every last bit of it was devoured. I'm just sad that I'll be going back to Austin, TX and have to live without it.... Hurry up and open one in Austin, Please..... I would eat here over and over again!!!!!!!

Skip the BIG salad and go for the smaller size; the only difference is the amount of lettuce (or spinach if that's the base for your particular choice). Can you believe that? The amount of other ingredients is exactly the same, as I suspected and then confirmed with an employee. I have never ordered a large salad since. After I learned this important fact, I can say that I'm definitely a fan. Good, fresh, creative salads and cheerful employees. The only downside is the price so I usually only go when I have a coupon.

So, I was shocked at how much I liked this place. The term fast food doesn't do it justice, but it really does fit. Great, fresh, original, and very solid flavors. Hey guys...add beer to the menu...*nudge nudge*

Mad Greens has good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere... The bad part is unless I have a coupon or they are having a promotion, I don't go there. I went in today and got a "Big" salad (which are not big), and a Half panini/Half small salad for a friend. Had I not had a "buy one get one free" coupon, the total would've been $19.00!!!!!!!! That is crazy expensive for what you get. Tasty, but not worth the cost. There are about a million other places in Boulder that are just as good and not as much.

Great place for anyone with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free). The new mobile app is awesome. Employees are friendly and helpful. Switch the pasta out for romaine in the Mark Twain, and you've got my favorite salad.

I really like this place. There aren't a lot of healthy options for lunch generally, and even fewer around the mall. I'm a fan of the Ty Cobb and I like the dressings and custom add-ons. All-around good at a reasonable price.

Well of COURSE you wanks would like this place--it's got tons of vegetation and it's expensive and it's in Boulder. That's apparently a magic combo for you faux chic snobs. But to get to my main point: The salads are excellent but WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY OVERPRICED. Only a mutant Boulder freak would think this was a good deal. I must add, however, that I am a Boulder native--the mutation started in about 1990, so I am exempt.

If one can become addicted to salad, then I am. These guys get how to build a great salad. It's always super-fresh and I love their menu combinations (or you can always build your own); my favorite is the Ty Cobb. This location was also recently remodeled and looks better than ever while improving the traffic flow during busy times. If you want a consistently great salad made quickly, MAD Greens is your place!

Today a colleague and I walked about 1/3 of a mile in the snow/rain for our first visit to MAD greens. Let me just say it was worth the walk. There were so many choices of healthy salads and paninis it was like being in Wonderland at the 29th Street Mall. Though the salads were made with care they were also made in a timely manner which we appreciated. I went for the Edgar Allen Poe which was amazing. There was just enough of each ingredient in the salad for every bite to be balanced - which I find to be a rarity. I also went for the green chili which I wasn't quite as wild about (the taste was great but the texture was a bit slimy and off putting). The staff were extremely attentive and patient (we had a bogo coupon and because I was slow to place my order we were split up between several different people). The cashier was efficient and made us feel valued as customers (kudos to Reeder). There wasn't a crumb in sight in the dining area and the trash/recycling/dishware return was steadily tended to. The music was also awesome (what better way to eat lunch than be serenaded by Stevie Wonder). The staff noted that MAD greens will soon feature a customer loyalty card. I will be the first in line when this program is launched. Update: I've ordered catering through Mad Greens a few times over the past year. Unfortunately the last 2 experiences weren't so great as the items containing nuts, nor the vegetarian items were not labeled as requested. Thankfully this was caught before people arrived to the meeting. With the most recent order I had even more problems. The delivery driver could not find the building where the meeting was located and it wasn't until I called the store to inquire where the delivery was that I was told the driver was lost and couldn't get ahold of me (which I found odd considering I had no missed calls). Turns out he was a few buildings over and had us go meet him (rather than him come to us). The distance, though not super great, was way too far for me to be carrying a crock pot in my dressy work clothes and shoes when the driver should just have driven to the correct building and brought in the order. I wrote to headquarters to express my concern and they were responsive, and apologetic. I continue to receive information regarding their promotions for catering but want to note that the codes inconsistently work through the website (if ordering online) and you need to call it in - which isn't always the most convenient. Also, for the occasion which we ordered soup it was unclear what needed to happen to the crock pot (I wasn't sure if there was a deposit/penalty if not returned within a certain time frame). I was happy to learn that upon return you receive a voucher for a free meal.

Love the assemble-your-salad approach. Everything has been very fresh on visits. I love the quality of the spinach in their spinach salads, and the wide variety of proteins, including nuts, tuna and tofu, that you can add, plus the big selection of veggies, fruits, seeds and cheeses. The Marilyn Monroe panini with turkey, goat's cheese, pesto, sundried tomatoes and other goodness is super yummy! It's simple and clean inside. I like the selection of Honest Tea/Honest Ade drinks, too.

Had a Mad Molly Green salad from here today. Just had it served like they recommend it on the menu with citrus chicken added with a vinaigrette dressing. It was great, fresh ingredients. I would describe it as spinach mixed with caprese and chicken...awesome.

This place is custom-made for Boulder... and for me. I can't say enough about this place. The premise: They only sell salads. That's right, it's a salad-o-rama. I am a big fan of the seldom-seen but always in-demand BLT salad, and the one they make here is out of this world. They start off with a healthy mix of greens and enough fixins to make a salad a meal. Go there now.

Has anyone noticed that the only difference between a small and a large salad is the amount of lettuce/spinach? The rest of the ingredients are measured out exactly the same. I guess I have trouble paying $2-3 extra for a few more leaves. Anyway, it took me a few visits to find the combo I liked, but once I found it, I was addicted. It's also a good place to invite your Boulder tree-hugging skinny-ass co-workers. I do find the place to be a bit too expensive for the concept and portions. Again, I love my Crazy Ivan salad with buffalo chicken and spicy yogurt. I tried their panini once and it didn't leave much impression on me. Update: I am increasing my rating to four stars as they've recently posted nutritional info on their web site. That rules!

Finding a fast food healthy option can be a bit of an insanely huge struggle at times... Needless to say - finding this option was super appreciated. Delicious salad options that can be customized to more or less whatever the heck you want. Cleverly named salads as well. The small option was more than enough - lasted 2 meals.

I guess I just don't understand everyone's gripe about this place. I'm here probably at least two times a week as it's just a quick stopover on my way to class. The facility is spotless, the staff is super nice, and their patio has a beautiful view of the flatirons. I think the price is absolutely reasonable for what you get. I don't get the add on protein and opt for almonds instead and only end up paying around $6. Honestly go buy all the ingredients yourself and see if 1) it costs less than you'd pay here or 2) how many salads you could make before your stuff goes bad. It's affordable, healthy, and you get a good portion. I'm usually in an out within 10 minutes. Bonus points for having student drinks and the ability to switch out ingredients from their normal salads if you don't fancy them.

A super friendly & warm staff on a chilly day is very much appreciated. The panini could have been warmed up more, but the soup was delicious. They have room for imporvement, but the concept is worth supporting.

I came here over the summer with a friend and totally botched my order. I really don't like feta cheese and I wasn't thinking when I said I wanted the regular version of a salad. By the time I could change it, the woman put it on (it was my fault). She offered to start a new one but I didn't want it to go to waste so I just decided to suck it up. Well I wasn't really satisfied but felt too bad to bring it back so I had my friend eat it. Then, one of the awesome staff members came over to our table and brought me a new salad and I didn't even have to ask! It was the sweetest thing. The new salad was delicious and I love this place! Great service, staff and food!

This place is poorly managed. We visited several weeks ago and the person ringing up our order incorrectly. We recently came back for a second try with a coupon this time. Once again, the order was rung up incorrectly. To make matters worse, no one working seemed to know how to fix the problem. We were given two vouchers worth $20 for our next visit and told that the general manager would also refund $10 back on our card the next day, fixing the error. We left pleasantly surprised. However, we never received the credit. Can't say we'll ever be back at this location again.

Greens, yes. Inspired, that's open to debate. They do have a wide selection of salad ingredients, including a dizzying array of dressings. My BLT salad wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't fantastic either. For the same price you can put together something more interesting at the Whole Foods salad bar, ~1.5 blocks away. On the upside the counter staff were friendly and attentive and it's more convenient that a trip to WF.

6 bucks for a pile of spinach, festooned very sparely with mandarin oranges, almonds, and red onions, huh? The produce may be fresh but that just makes me scratch my head. I saw them use a pre-measured scoop so I know it wasn't a fluke. Boo.

Just keep on walking for about one more block and go to Mod Market instead. The Boulder location just isn't worth it. I think the concept is a good one and I hear that other locations are better executed, but my experience with the Boulder location was pretty bad. Some of the ingredients are fresh, others- not so much (read: avocado). The prices are also way, way too high. The menu is creative and has a really fun twist- the salads and panini's are often new takes on the classics. But that being said, they don't come close to the quality, price, and atmosphere of their competitors.

Gluten-Free From A to Z.
FYI: Z is gluten-free (which mean as she can't eat wheat, rye, or barley) so our reviews are all from the gluten-free perspective. We care about how many gluten-free options the restaurant has and how helpful the staff is in dealing with our concerns. Total From A to Z: 5 Stars A's Review: * * * * * Z can tell you, I am not a big salad fan. But Mad Greens does something magical and actually makes salad taste good...and work as a meal by itself. The staff is well trained and the menu does a good job of making clear what is GF, which is a good number of items. Z's Review: * * * * * So I guess salad is generally a gluten-free no-brainer, so long as you avoid things like croutons and are careful about the dressing. Luckily, Mad Greens marks on their menu which of their dressings are gluten-free and they have eleven gluten-free options! They also make really creative salads, or you can design favorites of your own. According to the staff member I talked to, several of their protein options are also gluten-free (though now I can't remember which). So I think Mad Greens is an awesome place to grab a gluten-free salad. However, I have to make the disclaimer that if you are really sensitive you need to be careful about cross-contamination at Mad Greens because the salads are made at a bar - with glutenous and gluten-free ingredients tending to overlap. I once found a lone cruoton in the bottom of my bowl which could have made a senstive person sick.

This is a fun place to go for a salad . They offer a small or large salad, and it appears that the only difference between the two is the amount of lettuce you get. So if you want a better lettuce to "other ingredients" ratio, stick with the small to experience a little bit of everything in one bite. My favorite is the Don Quixote - with corn, mango, avocado, and a yummy ginger dressing.

So I am an employee at Modmarket in the Twenty Ninth Street Mall, which is a restaurant slightly similar to Mad Greens, which is also located in the same mall. Similar in the sense that both places serve the same "types" of food. So yesterday night I decided to give Mad Greens a shot. While my salad is being made I notice that the employees aren't wearing gloves, at Modmarket we are required to wear gloves while preparing food, what a concept, right? Anyway, I pay and proceed to walk outside to enjoy my salad. About half way through I notice something bad. Very bad. THERE WAS A USED BANDAID IN MY SALAD. Needless to say I walked right back in, demanded my money back, went home, and vomitted. Sorry Mad Greens but you ain't no Modmarket! -Absolutely Disgusted

This place was great for a quick lunch. I loved the quirky menu and creative salad combinations. This trip I got the Mad Math combo, with a small Edgar Allen Poe salad and half of a Marilyn Monroe panini. The small salad is huge, and would have been filling enough on it's own. The panini sandwich was made on a flat bread, which really allowed the fillings to stand out. The staff was super courteous and quick, and even more amazingly, friendly. I will definitely be going back... There's a couple more paninis that looked to be worth checking out, and even more salads on the list.

Food pretty average, but kind of pricey. Wife and I had panninis which took 20 minutes to arrive. I had a 2/1 coupon, but would have hated to pay $17 regular. Too many choices in Boulder to return. At least it was reasonably clean as opposed to the Denver Art Museum location.

I've never actually gone to mad greens and eaten in the dining area. My experience with the joint has been by delivery only, so I can only comment on the delivery service itself and the food. Yeah, so first plus right there is that they deliver! The delivery service is usually prompt, only rarely a wait longer than 30 min and the delivery guy, same guy every time, is always cordial. The earlier you call the better as far as lunch time volume. The minimum order for delivery is $15 - I have one co-worker in my office and we can reach that between the two of us no problem. I've ordered I think 4 different types of salads from here and I've added two to my list of favorites. Crazy Ivan - baby greens, diced roasted beets, pumpkin seeds and fresh goat cheese - yumm! Also love the Edgar Allen Poe with baby greens, apples, pears, walnuts and blue cheese. You can also add chicken or beef or portobello mushrooms, etc. to your salad starting at $2.25, The best thing about their salads is that the good stuff - the stuff that makes the salad a meal - is in great proportion to the lettuce. I've never ended up with just a big pile of plain lettuce left after eating all the good stuff and wished for more.... This place is great for lunch and probably dinner too as the salads are hearty and filling. Me likes! :)

Great salads, very quick and friendly service, and pretty cheap, too. What more can I say?

Marilyn Monroe, the best sandwich that I know! Good healthy eats for a quick lunch.

I love love love Mad Greens! It's great for lunch. No matter how long the line is it moves very quickly. My favorite salad is the Edgar Allen Poe. I order it just as it is with Port-Wine Vinaigrette and add chicken. They also have soups and paninis and you can add a large piece of pita bread for 99 cents. The small salad is plenty for me, I only order a large when I want leftovers for dinner or the next days lunch. Typically I go to pick up lunch for the office, but I have stayed a couple times and restaurant and tables are always very clean. It can get pretty busy in there at lunch time, but like I said the line moves fast and it's totally worth the wait!!!

I love Mad Greens salads! I had been buying salads there several times a week until I noticed a significant problem for gluten intolerant people. The croutons are kept on a little shelf above the other salad ingredients, making gluten cross contamination quite possible. Hope you fix this Mad Greens because your focus on gluten free foods is great!

This place is pretty good. Nothing amazing, but when you want a smaller sized salad (because most restaurants serve humongo salads) that's not from McDonald's or some fastfood place, this place has nicely portioned salads. The only thing is it's not that cheap. But I come here when I'm not feeling healthy and I just want to see a menu of salads and eat a salad. I've had their Edgar Allen Poe with marinated flank steak and their Nobu Seagaru salad. Both of them were really nice and fresh and felt good afterwards. The meat could've been better... but whatever... I like how they don't over do the salads and you can control how much of what you want to put in it. If you went to some other restaurant, you can' watch how they make it but since this place is kind of like Subway where you watch while they make it, it's kind of nice. I've been too lazy to create my own salad from their long ass list of ingredients... but maybe next time. I'll probably keep coming back here. Since all they have are salads (& paninis & soups), I'm forced to eat my veggies when I'm here instead of being tempted by something else on the menu. I kind of need that sometimes. I guess I like the simplicity of a salad place.

(4)Andy Q.
(5)Beth F.
(4)Hannah W.
(3)Jon H.
Mad Greens? More like Mad Delicious! I got the Ceasar Salad and it was great. I'd come back for sure.
(4)Melissa J.

(3)Amanda C.
(1)Katie M.
Second time going and this time I wasn't as impressed. The salad gave me bubble-gut but tasted good. I will try it again. This is for the Tempe location.
(3)Lindsey N.
(3)Bob and Audra M.
(4)Sarah V.
(2)Don K.
(5)Kate S.

Don't like it

(3)kari b.
This place has the right idea for Boulder, but the ingredients they use just are not that great. The breaded chicken that is pre-cut in little cold cubes, just does not get my mouth watering. Lots of choices but they are kind of bland. I have been here a few times and have never had anything very good.
(2)Ashley B.
(5)Maggie B.
(5)Yael D.
(4)Nina M.
(3)Doug R.
So, I was shocked at how much I liked this place. The term fast food doesn't do it justice, but it really does fit. Great, fresh, original, and very solid flavors. Hey guys...add beer to the menu...*nudge nudge*
(4)Kevin R.
Very fast and cheery service. Delicious fresh greens and wonderful healthy meats on delicious bread. They're paninis are unbelievably tasty. Perfect place for a light lunch snack.
(4)Paige S.
(3)Charlie V.
Great place for anyone with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free). The new mobile app is awesome. Employees are friendly and helpful. Switch the pasta out for romaine in the Mark Twain, and you've got my favorite salad.
(5)Michael M.
I really like this place. There aren't a lot of healthy options for lunch generally, and even fewer around the mall. I'm a fan of the Ty Cobb and I like the dressings and custom add-ons. All-around good at a reasonable price.
(4)Barb T.
(2)Lori O.
LOVE Mad Greens! I miss it living in CA now. I love their Don Quixote salad + herbal, stevia, iced teas! Yum! I wish you were in Santa Rosa, CA!
(5)Chris W.
(5)Kylee A.
Delicious! Super friendly staff! There's something for everyone on the menu. SO GOOD. Get the Olomomo salad.
(5)Sasha B.

Great Ty Cob salad. Added the smoked salmon. Delicious. If you or your wife like hand tossed salads you'll love Mad Greens.
(5)Valerie B.
This place fills a need for us. We went for salad recently and I tried the cheese and chub soup. SOOOOOO good!
(4)Barbara F.
(4)Kevin M.

Great place, Cuban sandwich and turkey sandwiches were good. Hearty veggie soup delicious. Salads are hand made to your specification. Can't wait till they put some in the north Austin, Round Rock area.

(2)Gluten-Free From A to Z.
