First time at LYFE for lunch and I'll be back if I'm downtown boulder. Great food, speedy service and great atmosphere. You order at the counter and your food is brought out. I had the Quinoa Crunch Bowl (salad) with chicken and hibiscus iced tea. The salad was a great blend of smooth and crunch - not too dry, not too moist. My friend had the grilled avocado chicken sandwich, it came with a small salad. Both looked great and reportedly tasted fantastic. It was a beautiful afternoon with the doors open to the open-air patio. We got there a bit before noon and there was still seating available but it was clearly filling up quickly. Recommend you try it!

You know those brunch spots where you stand outside in line for over an hour before you can even make it in the door to order your food? We're all guilty of it. The food is usually (at least, hopefully) worth it, but let's be real - I can't be the only one who gets way too hangry by the time food ends up in front of me to really enjoy it. This past Sunday, I was chowing down on the patio at LYFE Kitchen, feeling really sorry for the folks lined up somewhere across the street, and really satisfied with the quick delivery of my breakfast. My first (and only, as I was visiting the area with no prior knowledge of the food scene) visit was a great way to start the day. The concept seems close to home, fresh, and quick. You order at the counter and your food is delivered to you at the table of your choosing. It's not fancy, by any means, but it gets the job done. For what I'd call a "healthy" fast food chain, the quality seemed decent, the food tasted fresh, and the service was fast and friendly. My basic egg sandwich was affordable and filling enough that, along with a "lyfe water" with chia, I wasn't hungry until well past lunch time, which was great since we were on the go. Vegetarian friendly. Gluten free adaptable. Calorie and sodium counts readily available on the menu if you're into that sort of thing. Overall a fast, easy alternative to a weekend brunch.

I want to love this place. My partner and I happened upon it and I was drawn in by the display of herbs and tons of gf options. He had the salmon and an IPA, I the crunchy chia bowl with watermelon water, and we shared chips and guac. Nice big chunk of salmon. Homemade chips were...stale? Hard to break/bite into. As I mentioned in my tip the chia bowl was way spicier than I imagined and I wish I knew what I was getting into before I mixed it all together. Hard to taste the rest of the bowl when my tongue is on fire.

Pricey! We stopped in here after a leisurely evening of exploring Pearl St. The concept seems similar to many cafes back in Columbus (eg. Northstar) with emphasis on healthy fast casual food. I had the grilled veggie salad, corn chowder, and ginger pomegranate lemonade. For the price, I expected to be blown away. Everything was good, but not great. I liked the corn chowder (non-dairy chowders always appeal to me because of mild lactose intolerance). There did not seem to be any refills on beverages, even the iced tea (which was not inexpensive either). Table service was great -- they cleared away our dishes in a timely manner, and the dining room is very appealing -- open, many seating options, good people watching. I'm just not convinced of the value for price paid.

Amazing options! Great prices! I live in Denver and replacing anything for gluten free or Vegan gets so pricey, so it might just be me but this place was cheap as chips considering you can please everyone's restrictions! Food was awesome!!

I went here for lunch with my mom and kiddo one day, and the overall impression we got from our meal was that the food here was fairly bland. We ordered the grilled veggie salad, the chicken & avocado sandwich, the little lyfers unfried chicken strips, and a cucumber mint lyfe water. The salad was seriously lacking in the roasted veggie department, so that was a major disappointment. The sandwich was the one thing that was OK - not great, but not completely devoid of flavor either. The chicken strips were blah. My one year old will eat anything and everything I give him, but he became bored with these quickly. After trying one, I could see why and didn't bother pushing him to eat more. The infused water was good. I'd go back for one of those, but would most likely skip the food. I like the concept of this place and what they're trying to do. Maybe we just didn't order the right dishes?

Totally enjoyed meal. Vegetarian here. Fresh and creative. Not reliant on seitan and tempeh (processed soy products) for menu items like native foods.

After eating my meal I'm surprised Lyfe Kitchen is only rated 3.5 stars. Just had dinner on Monday at 630pm. The restaurant is lightly attended. Ordered Thai Red Curry Bowl and Garlic Parmesan Sweet Potato (baked) Fries. $18.51 later and I couldn't be more satisfied. I read several of the 3 and below reviews. They have a common thread of dissatisfaction with the service and value (price). I found the service very attentive and pleasant. There's no dedicated server and I was approached by 3 different employees to serve my food and check on me. Only minor hiccup is a server thought I was finished with my food when I wasn't. No big deal, but as stated in other reviews the portions are not over-sized, they are just right in my opinion, so I'm not leaving any food on my plates especially because it was so delicious. My hunger is sated. My taste buds were wowed. I feel like I ate a terrific compromise between satisfaction and guilt-free consumption. I truly received what I paid for: creatively prepared, healthy, delicious fare. I'm returning.

Really slow service, soggy sweet potato fries, frittata was not flavorful, quinoa pancakes were bland and came with yogurt on the top!? Really disappointed overall. Only pro was the seating which was pretty comfortable.

I thought this was a real restaurant but it's more of fast food joint only not so fast. In fact, incredibly slow. Our appetizer (the faux meat Vietnamese lettuce wraps) came out after we were done eating our mains. I went up to the counter to check the status and there was no one working there. I stood there for 5 min before some chick that was running food came out of the kitchen and offered help. I got the chicken, spinach, mushroom penne and it was alright. A bit on the bland side but the portion was more generous than I thought it would be. The place is operated very lean as if seems like not enough employees were scheduled. I guess they think they can skimp since the diner has to do everything themselves.

LYFE Kitchen is... A plethora of options for every kind of eater (gluten free, vegan, etc.) Friendly service A modern space Quick and Easy Went with the hubby, a friend and her toddler. All of us (including the vegan and the toddler) had several options to choose from. Food was brought out quickly and the atmosphere allowed for a tiny tantrum without too many turned heads. I had the steak and it was fabulous! I tend to eat smaller portions, so it was perfect for me, but someone with a heartier appetite might like to order a second dish. We'd come back again!

I am so incrediblyTHRILLED that this location has finally opened. I have been anxiously awaiting it for months. I am pleased to say that my first experience here far exceeded my (already high) expectations. To say I was impressed with the food would be an extreme understatement. The appetizer (The Edamame Hummus & Veggies) was delicious. I love regular humus, but this kind made of edamame has definitely taken the gold medal in my opinion. I have never seen it anywhere else and I would gladly return to LYFE just for it. But how could I possibly be content with just the (amazing) hummus with so many other delicious items on the menu?! The Sweet Corn Chowder was delicious. It's perfect for fall. I'm not normally a fan of soup, or corn, but this was so good that I can see myself craving it all season long. The Tal's Grain Bowl was one of the most unique dishes I've tried of of LYFE's menu. It was made with a vegetarian 'beef' that was unlike anything I've ever had in the past. And boy was it good. It was very similar to beef in both taste and texture (which is rare for a fake meat) which was very nice. The dish as a whole was sweet, yet still very spicy. I loved the combination of edamame, yellow pepper, and gardein beef. It was interesting and delightful. The meal ended with the Chocolate Budino. This was perhaps one of the most delicious deserts I've ever had. I have tried to make chia pudding before and it does not even begin to compare with the deliciousness of this item. I'm not sure what they did here, but this chia soaked in pomegranate paired with chocolate budino and toasted almonds was TO DIE FOR. There is no other desert that will satisfy my craving for this and I know I will come back to LYFE time and time again just for the Budino. You cannot live without giving it a try. Let me end by saying that I was utterly and completely BLOWN AWAY by the service here at Boulder LYFE. I know this may not be representative of what's normal with it being a special event and all, but it is worth saying. Everyone here was up-beat, beyond helpful, knowledgable, and totally awesome. This service was far superior to any I have had anywhere else in recent memory. If LYFE can manage to replicate this type of service at all of their locations, then world domination is the next step. Way to go Boulder LYFE. You've made a loyal customer out of me. I will return to you very, very soon.

Awesome restaurant! So happy Lyfe kitchen has moved to Boulder & downtown to hoot! Attended a special mock opening event which provided staff the opportunity to train in their positions which I thought was fabulous. When we arrived for the dinner we were greeted at the door and provided some yummy edamame hummus and cute reusable coffee cup koozi. Robin met with us in the doing area and carefully selected our menu and beverages with our dietary needs in mind. We reported to the register where the staff placed our order and made substitutions as needed. We were informed of where the water and silverware were and picked them up on the way to our table. The kale banana Smoothie and lemonade arrived shortly and omg the smoothie was to die for! The food came out quickly and the presentation was awesome. We really loved Arts Unfried chicken - so awesome to find a place where the food is both delicious and nutritious! The menu tells us not only the calorie count for each it but also the sodium content. The pumpkin budino and vegan chocolate chip cookie both outstanding! The staff were super attentive and friendly. I definitely look forward to giving them high marks on the survey we received & returning when they open.

A very modern place. Order before you sit. Get yourself some water from the fountain - which claims to have fizzy water, but it's not that fizzy. Bummer. I found the food pretty good, not huge portions.

Good but pretty over priced for the portions. The service was efficient and I was glad they offered free sparkling water...but nothing was special enough to go out of my way to come here again.

I went to Lyfe Kitchen with a buddy who had eaten here previously. He had commented that the food was good but the service needs work. That belief was completely confirmed as when we went together the service was very scattered. Food was coming to wrong tables, not once, not twice but four times the wrong food came to our table. Also the order of food to the table was completely silly. I received my curry in about 15 to 20 minutes at about the same time my buddy got his sweet potato fries. His salad did not come out for another 10 minutes after talking to the waiter twice. The food was solid as everything we tried was tasty but it did not make up for the terrible and scattered service. They were nice enough to comp for the salad which took about 1/2 an hour to get to the table but for foods sake please get your logistics in order. It was embarrassing and I would never take a business client into such a mess. This would have been a one star but the food was pretty good.

Horrible glorified McDs trying to front as a heathy restaurant. Hash is not fried potatoes with onions and mayo on it. All eggs are out of a carton. No honey or jam for their English muffin. Really a crappy breakfast! Try not to be fooled by the hip look and it's fancy healthy looking crap. it's junk!

Great food, fast service. Our food was all fresh. I wish I had posted a photo but I demolished it all quickly. I had the quinoa crunch salad with spinach, cucumbers, hummus, radishes, avocado, and a little fire sauce. Yum. Also they have wonderful infused waters (we liked the cucumber mint) and we also enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice.

This is what the $2.99 berry bowl side gets you: - 5 grapes - 4 blueberries - 1/4 of a strawberry - 3 blackberries Never again. I guess it is better than a $16 acai bowl at Zeal?

Decent Boulder food.... free of anything of which Boulderites are currently terrified. Despite the effort to produce PC food, there is a lot on the menu that is quite tasty. However, the portions are small and the prices are not. I don't mind eating here, if a companion insists, but I doubt I'd return of my own volition.

Vegetarian?! Vegan?! Gluten Free?! Everything!? LYFE Kitchen has something for everyone no matter what menu you choose. I like to go all out and order from the everything menu thinking I will be more satisfied. Alas! Every time I go up to order they ask me if I want my choice in a gluten free option. And every time they ask I say 'why not?' The folks here are clearly looking out for my health more than I am. Cheers LYFE Kitchen. While you're here you might as well venture into the GF or Vegetarian menus. I'm never disappointed by the GF alternatives and I leave feeling better about myself. I haven't personally inspected the Vegan/Vegetarian menu but I'm sure they're just as good. One of my favorite features about this restaurant is the water options. More and more joints are going for the sparkling/still/ambient water fountains which are really cool. I very much appreciate having a choice. The one thing I would stay away from is the awfully bright herb garden they decided to plant in the middle of the restaurant. It's very cool they have a garden but wear sunglasses if you sit facing this thing...you may go blind. Also don't order the fresh lemonade if you value your taste buds...No one loves a citrus, sweet drink more than this girl but damn.....add A LOT more sweet and subtract A LOT less citrus...I took one sip and couldn't distinguish any other flavor afterwards. I was forced to make a trip to the water fountain and use sparkling, still and ambient water to wash that acid out of my mouth.

Very fresh and clean ingredients in a prime location. My quinoa crunch bowl was the highlight of our first visit and I'll be ordering that many more times to come. It was a perfect salad--healthy, fresh, flavorful, and filling. The fish tacos are also good but they come in distant second to the crunch bowl.

Love their fresh approach to food. Healthy meals low in calories but still delightful. Ginger mint chia water is so refreshing. Thai curry bowl (+mushrooms) is packed full of flavor yet remains light and delicious. I love their approach to meals, the service is excellent and the ambiance is light, airy and clean. My only complaint is that it isn't convenient to Denver (Colorado Mills or Boulder) but I am sure that will change as they gain popularity!

I have been to the Park Meadows location over the summer and I have been to the soft opening tasting event here in Boulder and now I can say I have a real meal here under my belt also. Maybe too much under my belt but I did need to try more things. Tonight was the Quinoa Crunch Bowl with chicken for me though I did taste quite a bit off my husband's plates too. He started with the seasonal kale chicken soup and found it too spicy to finish so I took over. It was spicy with a lot of red chili flakes but if you could avoid a whole spoon of them, the remainder was about right. A little light on the kale but some good potato chunks for balance. He also got the cucumber mint Lyfe water which was huge and we both liked it. I had a nice pot of hot tea as a cold meal on a cool night is a bit much for me. My bowl included a quinoa tabouleh, edamame hummus, avocado, arugula, cherry tomatoes and radishes. The radishes could have been cut a bit smaller in the kitchen as the dinner knife wasn't ideal to make the pieces easy to eat. The chicken breast was nicely flavored and very tender and cut into pieces way smaller than the radish. The whole thing was sprinkled with hot sauce, fine for me but not everyone (like my husband.) He had the chicken avocado sandwich which suited him quite well. We both had a budino for dessert. He had the chocolate with pomegranate chia which I had last time and he loved it as much as I did. I had the pumpkin which sounded better than the execution. I love pumpkin and that part was good and not over spiced. However, they sat it on a bed of the coconut milk chia that they use for the banana budino and and I don't think it works with pumpkin, at least not for me. The spoonfuls from the bottom, once the pumpkin was gone, were just too coconut-y for me and I was forced to get something else to cut the aftertaste, once we left Lyfe. Two of my favorite places are on the next block - to the rescue! This Lyfe is a bit confusing compared to Park Meadows where you enter immediately into the ordering line. Here, you must cross past the seating area and the takeout registers to get to the order line. You pay, then sit and they bring you the food. But not the silverware, which is apparently past the other seating area to the left. So go get it before sitting down. They do clear the tables at the end though, but maybe a bit too quickly if you are dawdling over dessert and a drink. Pricing is really pretty high for quick casual even if unique quality food. There does seem to be a lot of overlap on the seasonings from the plates I have tried, so I will see how this plays out long term. But I will be back.

Beers are pricey Wrap is spicy. But my salad was pretty good. Burger is bland Like a bag of sand Didn't taste like grass fed should. I prefer True Food Has a better mood. I'd go there instead if I could.

Fabulous interior decor, location, menu & staff. I have not been to any other LYFE Kitchen but anticipate on visiting more now that I have had a sample of their menu items. With the soft opening hosted by Yelp, I was able to try: 1. the chocolate budino (Italian pudding) with almonds and pomegranate chia seeds 2. the Tal Grain's - a quinoa salad mixed with edamame hummus, cucumber, broccoli and tomato 3. the edamame hummus - with vegetables 4. the spicy vegetarian dish with vegetarian beef & quinoa 5. the squash and the brussels sprout portion of the Art's unfried chicken dish 6. a Californian white wine and pinot noir 7. corn chowder with potatoes, corn and chives 8. Farmer's market salad with arugula, goat cheese & pumpkin spice pecans 9. coffee The verdict 1. the chocolate budino was rich but not overwhelming because of the tart flavor of the pomegranate chia seeds that surrounded the island of chocolate pudding. I found the portion size to be perfect (not too overwhelmingly large that you feel guilty after eating it all) and not too small (also a major problem) 2. the quinoa salad was refreshing and light; the edamame hummus added saltiness to it and the vegetables had a nice crunch 3. the edamame hummus had a beautiful avocado color (much more visually appealing than the typical garbanzo bean hummus color); it was on the salty side but this flavor was balanced by the crisps that were served with it 4. the vegetarian dish with the vegetarian beef had a nice spicy kick to it and an Asian flavor (from the ginger chile sauce used in it); it was savory & healthy tasting 5. the squash and brussels sprouts had a nice thick sauce on it & had a very fall-esque flavor to it that I cannot pinpoint; the sprouts weren't overcooked which is always nice 6. I cannot whine about wine of any sort (especially because I am not too knowledgable about wine) 7. the corn chowder thick and filling (in a positive way); I'd love another cup of it on a cold fall/winter day 8. the salad had a nice bitter flavor to it from the arugula and the pumpkin spiced pecans made the dish very seasonal and festive 9. coffee was standard I saw on the menu that they have a banana budino with coconut milk & a vanilla or chocolate & date milk shake. Those two menu items are screaming my name. I will definitely try them sometime and update this review with my verdict. As for the decor, this place is very modern, clean and sleek. Because it is on the corner of the street, they are lucky enough to have a lot of floor to ceiling windows. This opens the space up and makes it feel very airy and spacious (+ modern!). At the entrance, there is an awesome live wall of fresh herbs adding their farm fresh and local concept. The waitresses and waiters were very enthusiastic and upbeat. Our waitress couldn't remember the name of the wine but luckily the name of the wine makes little difference to me.

The first time we went, several of us ordered the corn chowder. By the time it got to us it was stone cold. They tried to make up for it by giving us coupons "for one complimentary starter or dessert." We placed our next order online and went to pick up and pay at the cashier so we could use our coupon. It was only then, as the cashier swiped our card, that they told us those coupons count for all starters and desserts EXCEPT flatbread, which was our intended recipient of the coupon. Misleading advertising plus poor service so we couldn't even change our order before they took payment. Other than that, the food is completely mediocre which is unacceptable given the price point. I've had vegan burgers that are more similar to real meat, and taste better, than their burger with meat. After eating it I actually feel sick. Also, they somehow got "Michelle" from my name, which clearly ends with an a, which you can tell even if you're not looking too closely. They kept calling me Michelle even after we corrected them. Don't mean to split hairs, but a restaurant is supposed to deliver delicious food and excellent customer service. Getting the customer's name right is step 1. Never eating there again. Do they think they can misspell Life and advertise Kale to make a profit on mindful consumers while hiding the fact that their service and food are crap?

So glad Boulder has this terrific restaurant! My first experience with this restaurant was in Palo Alto, CA and it was so great. Missed it so much! I heard so many vegan meals ordered here and there. Yay! Way to go!!! Water and utencils are self- service. There are two stations. For water, there are three selections!!! Wow! Chilled, ambient, chilled sparking. Definately go with sparking! Ok review. Order: (mine is all vegan btw) Vanilla banana date shake Kid's Pasta with tomato sauce- comes with eithet fries or fresh fruits. I take fruits. (I eat small so this portion is just perfect). Shake: They did not any other ingredients as shown on the menu. It is real fruits only shake! Because of banana's and dates' density it is quite bit hard to drink with straw. Definately can taste bananas and i do see that color of dates. Even though it is thick to suck in, it is yummy! Natural sweet makes me satisfied. Wish there is some ice i can put onto so that it can be less denced. Just let you know this is a seasonal menu. But also i have a feeling that i can make this my own easily at home. Pasta. Tomato sauce is too small- im crying out here. Pasta itself cooked good. Can taste natural taste of pasta itself. I did not look to Gluteen-free menu but they might have it. Dorable portion of healhy fresh fruits. Blueberry. Blueberry. Strawberry. Grape. Sooo good! This place has plenty of enough spaces to seat. Interior is so neat and unique way- the set interior for every place i guess. Staffs friendly, eager to help to order since they offer foods in different type of health matter- eat all, gluteen free, vegan. Honestly, i want to taste all their menus. Start with healthy ingredients and healthy way of cooking. I can taste it!

Service here is inconsistent and the food is hit or miss. I LOVE that they have a large menu with healthy options, but they need to make some refinements or they'll eventually go out of business here in Boulder. Please don't sell wine for $10 a glass and then pour it from a giant metal vat...not cool. Sometimes service is extremely slow, other times it's ok. They need to work on CONSISTENCY here. I think the prices are fair, although the wine prices are ridiculous and you get a SMALL glass. I'm not inclined to go back here anytime soon when there are some other amazing places in town for healthy fare.

Here are some marketing ideas for Lyfe Kitchen *Catering to rich anorexic super models * Half sized meals at full sized prices *Eat here...go home hungry *Small portions big prices *For the flavor free crowd I ordered the flatbread with mushrooms, carmelized onions, goat cheese and chives with balsamic. This plate was $10 and it was the size of one small piece of pizza...and tasteless. Not one single ingredient tasted of its origin. How to you make an onion taste like string? Insulting! It took 35 minutes for this and my wife's order to arrive on a not so busy afternoon. The whole concept is weird. We wanted another beverage but could not get anyone's attention so would have had to go back and stand in line. From the looks at other tables, many people were none to happy with service and portions. This place like several of its predecessors in this space will struggle to make it IMHO. Go to Snooze or Foolish Craigs.

This place has a totally cute atmosphere (great marketing) and really nice employees, they even said ma'am, but I had a caesar salad that was particularly plain and I got it with grilled chicken that wasn't the best either. For 11$ I was not impressed at all!

The food was great. I loved that it was all healthy. There were many gluten free options. The organization is a bit different. Your order at the desk and then you sit down at any table. They find you via a marker. You have to get your own silverware and water. The price was reasonable, about $ 10 per dish. The portions were a bit on the small side. I would certainly go again.

I really wanted to like this place, but I can guarantee I won't be back. Luge Kitchen is the only place I've been during my 2 weeks in NE Colorado that I haven't loved. I ordered iced tea, and it tasted a little funky like the urns hadn't been cleaned well. When I took it up to the staff and asked for something else to drink, they charged me for the new drink. Not wanting to be a B over $2, I paid it. The kids meal for my 4-year-old and fish tacos for myself weren't quite enough food for us (they were relatively tasty, albeit small, and we'd had a long day and hadn't had much to eat), so I went back up to order a flatbread. I specifically asked if there was any dairy other than the goat cheese and was told no. After 20 minutes the order came out. There were maybe 2 other people in the restaurant, so the wait time on an app was really ridiculous. The "bread" part was very thin like a cracker and pretty brown - over cooked in my opinion. I ate a piece thinking,"yay! Goat cheese that's not chèvre!" THANKFULLY it struck me that I should double check that it's really goat cheese. I was told that it was not goat cheese, but regular mozzarella and something about the menu changing so the kitchen gets confused. Not cool. Really not cool. I said my baby (who is nursing) is allergic to cow dairy, so I can't eat it and she's going to be sick now. She offered to make a new one, but I said I didn't have time to wait 20 more minutes for another one. She shrugged and asked what she could do then. At a loss, I waited for my son to finish and we left. No one came to apologize or offer to comp the meal or put a rush refire in. Literally nothing. I left hungry, and my poor baby girl has been up all night crying because her stomach hurts (we're traveling, so I have nothing else to feed her...). I know this isn't an issue for most folks, but don't expect great service or prompt food or even to get exactly what you order (because, you know, the menu changes and the kitchen staff can't keep up ). Too many good places to eat in Boulder to waste time here!

Fast food for the gluten-free folks. I ordered the Barramundi noodle bowl. Bland - all the vegetables tasted the same. Small portion - I think there were about 5 undercooked, skinny noodle-things. Maybe a rice noodle? Noisy and overpriced, too. Would not be my choice when there are so many better restaurants in Boulder.

While I'm pretty bored of their menu, the service at Lyfe is pretty awesome. The portions are small but the food is well-crafted and healthy. My boyfriend loves the lemonade (pomegranate ginger) and I love the sweet potato fries and the Brussel sprouts with squash, I usually order a variety of sides because the sides are the best! Such a refreshing atmosphere

This is probably mentioned elsewhere but this is a (currently) small chain started by former McDonalds execs who are apparently trying to repent for their sins. They are doing pretty well! The space is clean and modern. You fetch your own water and silverware and order at a counter but you do have waiter service that delivers, checks on your drinks etc. - kind of a counter service/wait service hybrid. Perhaps the coolest part is you have to the ability to choose the menu you want - everything, gluten free, or vegetarian. The food quality is good and the portions are perfect. I'm not sure it's the most creative or inspired food, but it IS a meal you can enjoy AND feel good about. Sometimes the regret of a big, over-indulgent meal is just that - regrettable. I'm happy to tell that won't happen here. This is a foreword-thinking restaurant concept - obviously smart people helming (is that a word?) the ship. They understand what their customer wants.

I had high hopes for Lyfe kitchen and it was OK, not great. We went for breakfast on a Saturday. I had the gluten free breakfast sandwich. I liked that it came with arugula and tomato. My husband had eggs, turkey sausage and hash browns and said it was OK. The kids pancakes were good and had quinoa cooked in them. Everything could have used a bit more flavor. We needed hot sauce. The concept was confusing. You walk in and hope someone behind the bard notices you. She told us to take menus, grab a table and then come back and order. So you order, pay and get a buzzer but they don't "buzz" you. They bring your food too you.

I love the idea of the different menus for people with dietary restrictions but if you r restrictions cross their lines expect to be confused trying to figure out what you can eat. The fish tacos were good. My wife got a steak which she sent back because it tasted old and of freezer burn. Great concept, but the execution leaves something to be desired.

I had a salad and added grilled chicken. Very well prepared, not over dressed. Husband enjoyed the soup, not too heavy.

I am SO happy this place came to Boulder. Not only is the actual restaurant very cool inside, but the food is so fresh, delicious and very affordable. This place is great for people who have any food restrictions - but is equally as delicious and full of flavor for people who do not (like me!) I love the crunch bowl, it consists of a green salad, quinoa and edamame hummus, with a side of some fresh veggies. This is my go-to when I want a healthy lunch packed with flavor. For dinner, I really love the grass fed steak with root veggies - I believe this is only $16, which is insane for Boulder. Lyfe also serves wine, beer, and the best margarita you will ever consume.

Meh. We ate here tonight. My burger came with dijonnaise instead of the mustard I asked for. By the time it came back out, my wife who is an incredibly slow eater, was already 3/4 of the way through hers. There was an apology for the delay, but nothing else to make up for it. The lemonade was so tart my wife couldn't drink hers (I like unusually sour stuff so I finished it, but I imagine most people wouldn't). Aside from that, it was all pretty dull. The ingredients seemed to be fairly high quality, but nothing was done to make them interesting. The ambiance is nice. For this type of food, Fresh Thymes is a much better option.

Lyfe kitchen has quickly become one of my favorite lunch places due to its awesome variety for all kind of diets, not to mention their chia drinks. Also, the customer service there is amazing - seriously, everyone bends over backwards to assist you with a giant smile. They seem like genuinely happy folks. I also like how all of the ingredients they use are fresh, and they find unique, healthy twists on popular entrees. Their Thai Curry is amazing, vegan or with chicken, and I love the fresh water (sparkling or still) that's on tap. Really a great addition to the Boulder breakfast / brunch / lunch landscape.

I'd waited for months for Lyfe to open so I just had to check it out over the weekend for brunch. The restaurant itself felt very clean & spacious. I was a little confused with the ordering process and the different menus upon arrival but the staff was quick to assist. Upon review of the menu, I decided to select the breakfast burrito and my friend ordered the spinach & avocado frittata. With a vibrating table locater, we then made our way to the water station where you can select still, ambient or sparkling water (which I think is pretty amazing)! That is where you also find your silverware. Then choose your seat and your food arrives at your table when it's ready. My breakfast burrito was smaller than I thought it would be but was very good. It's served alongside some tasty salsa and a small selection of berries. My friends frittata looked so good and was quite large, served with chipotle potatoes. She really liked all of it. The staff came around with samples of their hibiscus beet Lyfe water which was incredible, I will definitely be ordering that next time. I think this restaurant will quickly become one of my favorite places to eat and I'm already planning my next meal. So many selections to choose!!

Upsides: niche food (gluten free grass fed burger with sou cheese is hard to find), interesting fast casual concept, food is tasty Downsides: food took 20+ minutes on a slow saturday because the 'system was down'. Portions are small, $10 burger was mcdonald's sized, pre-packed, not medium rare as ordered (possibly frozen). Verdict: maybe ok for a cheap work lunch, but won't be coming back with illegal pete's so close.

Visiting Boulder for the first time in many years. Stumbled upon the newly opened Lyfe Kitchen. I ordered the coconut curried vegetable dish from the vegan menu. It was delicious, great flavor with perfect amount of heat. All menu items list calories and sodium content allowing for mindful menu selections. I highly recommend this restaurant. Please open one in Cincinnati!

Had a late lunch here today while in Boulder and was really impressed. Exceptionally healthful menu, great staff, and immaculate restaurant. I had the MahiMahi fish tacos which were unique and delicious. Food came promptly and the fish was moist and flaky. Had the pleasure of meeting the manager as well who was polite and very enthusiastic about the restaurant. He even offered me a peak at the kitchen which was amazingly clean and well organized. Perfect place to get a very nutrient dense meal at a good price quickly. This will definitely be a regular place for me.

So happy that the Boulder Lyfe kitchen has opened! I had the pleasure to eat at a location in Chicago and I love the concept. It's actually tasty, real food that isn't really expensive, almost between a fast casual and sit down pricing. The layout of this location is my favorite of the 3 I've been to, open free-flowing and enough room. The food was also really good and the service staff were on-point, knowledgable about the menu and what goes into everything. We shared the corn chowder, arts unfried chicken and Tals noodle bowl. The chowder was good, but I'm a purist and I love the thick hearty cream base, this version was made with cashew cream, so not as satisfying for me. The chicken is so good, reminds me of shake n bake, but much better than mom used to make. Tal's noodle bowl is my all time fav! Lots of veggies, great amount of heat and a proper blend of spices. We got it with the faux beef, but you can get other proteins from what we were told. The wines, they were okay, not as deep and dynamic as I like, but they go well with their menu items. The desserts are great, the chocolate buddino(pudding) is amazing, rich deep chocolate, sitting on top of some chia seeds soaked in pomegranate. Their chocolate chip cookies are really good too! Overall, I can see myself going here quite a bit, all entrees under 600 calories, healthy, fast and fun.

Had dinner here with business associates. What a GREAT place! Kale and avocado salad was very tasty as was the sweet corn chowder (vegan) Fish tacos and chicken sandwich were very good. Everyone enjoyed dinner. If we lived here we would eat here frequently.

Pros: all the food we tried was good: fish tacos, burger and sweet potato fries fizzy water from fountain was a nice touch comfortable restaurant prices are good - you order at counter so no tipping. Cons: Service. Slow to order and slow for food to arrive.

My new "go to" breakfast spot. Love the frittata & breakfast burrito; fresh, tasty & best salsa side!! The grandkids really like the pancakes & smoothies. Bright, inviting atmosphere & comfy outdoor seating.

An odd concept. This upscale looking modern space looks inviting and upon our first visit we actually waited at the front not realizing that we were supposed to order at the bar/counter. No one spoke to us so We left. The next week bee tried again and were greeted and instructed to order at the counter and were given a pager/beacon. We found the flatbread and lettuce wraps to be below average and the service was confusing with no single individual really helping at our table. A cool space, but the food and service were lacking.

The food was amazing but the wine and was extremely overpriced we thought we were getting a carafe for $25 and it was a 1/2 a carafe (ive worked in the restaurant industry my entire life so I know what a carafe is) I also really didn't like that you don't sit down and order it was awkward.

Took 35 minutes for our food. Sweet potato fries were burnt. This is the third time we've tried lyfe hoping for an improvement. Disappointed after more than a few months this place can't get it together especially since the menu isn't exactly cheap.

I made the mistake of not listening to my subconscious when the peculiar sterile environment struck me in an odd way. The "classic breakfast" seemed like something you might find in an IKEA. The eggs were powdered and the sausage patty was chewier than grandma's orthotics. Go across the street for a more wholesome breakfast

This is a truly great restaurant that is for sure going to be a success! Their menu caters to people with dietary needs, but more than that it taste really good. It's also a good value for what you get, and I can't wait to try more things on the menu!

The kale Cesar salad is usually my go-to when dining at LYFE - it's typically a large portion with lots of flavor. Today I ordered one to go and it was half the size with half the flavor and was mostly romaine lettuce with just a few pieces of kale all for the same price. Needless to say it was a huge let down and I won't be ordering any lunches to go from LYFE kitchen anytime soon. I recommend LYFE as a place to eat but do NOT recommend their takeout.

Food was okay. We waited over 20 minutes for soup (which came out cold), fish tacos and a pizzanini. The pizzanini was overloaded with peppers (not listed on the menu), very light on the goat cheese and gluten free, despite the menu saying GF was an option on request (not requested). Not impressed. Not returning. :(

While searching for a great healthy spot in Boulder, my boyfriend and I came across this spot and it was PERFECT. There was a big private party in the main dining, so the host gave us free wine vouchers while we waited for a table. The food was fresh and full of flavor. My dude got the fish tacos and I got the quinoa crunch bowl. We also shared an order of the garlic sweet potato fries. SO good. It's also a very clean establishment with super friendly staff.

The food is great. Super fresh, great flavor. They have excellent vegetarian and gluten-free options, but I can't say I absolutely adored a single dish. It was all good, but it wasn't very impressive, unfortunately. Food like this is all over Boulder. I'd like to see them get more experimental in their dishes and perhaps cater to a more diverse palette. However, I will definitely be back.

Hits all the marks: Healthy, mostly organic & GMO-free, and definitely delicious! Lyfe quickly joined the ranks of my favorite restaurants after I ordered delivery through HungryBuffs. I haven't been there in person yet, so all I can say about the service is, they assembled our large order surprisingly quickly, and with no problems. The baked garlic parmesan sweet potato fries were definitely good, and their crispiness survived nicely in the delivery container! Unfried buffalo chicken strips with farmhouse pickles - loved both! The chicken kept some nice crunch despite being coated in a tasty hot sauce, spicy and resembling Cholula but not that hot and with some sweet smokey notes. The pickles accompanied them nicely and I am always glad to find ways to get more fermented foods into my diet I enjoyed the balance of subtle flavors in their kale caesar salad. The bread crumbs are an interesting addition and really liked what they contributed to the overall texture. I only used about half of the cup of bread crumbs they gave us and it was plenty to play its role without being overwhelming. The grass-fed steak and potatoes were quite enjoyable. The serving size was a sensibly healthy-sized serving and big enough to be satisfying (but small if you were expecting a huge steak). Perfectly cooked to order. The flavoring was very good, same goes for the potatoes, tomatoes and onions that came with it. My partner got Art's Unfried Chicken with brussel sprouts. He is picky but finished all of this and enjoyed it, although he left behind the butternut squash and cranberries that were included. He also got the Margherita flatbread which was really nice. If you were expecting the heartiness of an average pizza, you will find this a bit small but right on target for flavor. The thin crust had a good crunch with just the right amounts of sauce and cheese for its size, and the toppings were quite good. (At least I thought so. He picked off the cherry tomato halves and gave them to me because he likes very plain pizza. Lol) The only item I was underwhelmed by was the house made corn tortilla chips with guac and salsa. The chips were a bit too hard and I thought the dips both needed some salt. Lastly, and in my opinion, most importantly: The chia water. I got the Ginger Mint Chia water. If there is anything I will absolutely insist you try from here, this is it. Everything else was really good but this stuff got me immediately hooked on chia water. The seeds seem to make water more satisfying. As I am sitting here I am sipping home-made chia-lemon-strawberry-ginger water (I didn't have lime or mint leaves). I can't stop drinking the stuff. Caution, trying this drink may result in finding yourself at the store checkout with a 2 lb bag of chia seeds under your arm...(not that it's a bad thing, really, they're super healthy!) Also I had no idea fruit infused water could have such a strong natural sweetness. Before this I always assumed infusing water with fruit would have a blander result, but now I know better! I will be using this trick all summer for refreshing sweet drinks without all the sugar of fruit juice. Also started using frozen strawberries for ice cubes. I am so grateful this place delivers. I am looking forward to ordering from here again!

Lyfe was Okay. While the name was initially off putting, the fact that it's an acronym made it better. Right away it had an excellent atmosphere. I was definitely thinking "this place seems really cool", but that may also just be my sensibilities. I really like their menu system, with different versions of the menu depending on what you ate (Everything/Gluten-Free/Vegetarian/Vegan?). There were signs describing how things worked, although as another review said it was a little confusing about if you just should stand in the doorway to read a menu, or sit down with it then get up again. We stood, ordered, and sat down. Our food arrived to our table incredibly fast. We may have meandered slightly, but we really did just sit down when it came. That was actually a con, as one of us had ordered a burger, and from both the taste and timing it was not cooked to order. I had fish tacos, which were, fine but nothing extraordinary. In fact, I was feeling like they could've used some spice and/or lime. There was a tiny lime, which was insufficient, and a small container of "salsa" which had no heat whatsoever(not just pico either). We also got two of their jazzed up "waters". One was Cucumber/Mint, which was unremarkable, with not a lot of mint flavor coming through. The other was the Hibiscus/Beet, which was better with a fuller flavor, but still mostly just okay. Sidenote: They had cold, tepid, and bubbly water on tap at a self-serve station. I adore the fact that they have the tepid water (and bubbly!) available, and strangely that gets them extra points in my book. I'm undecided if I'd go again, there are so many other places to eat nearby I'd likely choose something new first. tl:dr Great atmosphere, good dietary variety, good customer service, "meh"-poor food.

Perfect experience. The restaurant had a private party taking up half their space and the manager who greeted us immediately upon walking in, gave me and my girlfriend complimentary glasses of wine for the table wait. We drank, got seated, had our orders taken quickly and the food was fantastic. Super healthy options at great prices with cool atmosphere!

We had Lyfe Kitchen for the first time today and loved it! Wasn't a fan of the pumpkin budino (pretty spicy) but the flatbread, kimchi noodles with seabass, and fish tacos were awesome! Will definitely return. Food was fresh and delicious! PS. You must try the mango like cucumber smoothie! It's so refreshing!

We came here for lunch while I was visiting and walking around. The service was great. I ordered the Veggie Burger though and I was not a fan at all. I eat Veggie burgers but this one was just not tastey. Other than that the articgoke was delicious and everyone was super friendly. Love the concept.

we were gonna have dinner somewhere else on pearl st., but decided to try lyfe after seeing that chef art smith was involved with the restaurant. since we stopped by the kitchen next door for happy hour before, we weren't too hungry. we ended up getting fish tacos, barramundi bowl, and banana bundino. when you walk in you can choose between different menus, like gluten free menu, vegan/vegetarian menu, or everything. pick a seat, go to the counter and order, they give you one of those vibrating coasters when your food is ready. it was before the dinner rush when we went in, so the service was extra friendly and helpful. food was good. not super awesome or anything, but it was healthy, portions were good, not gigantic and i didn't feel gross from eating too much or anything. i liked the fast casual, healthy feel. boulder and denver are so lucky to have so many healthy dining options.

This is an expensive fast food joint, using decor and design to market itself as offering higher quality food, which it does not. A restaurant one block down on Pearl St, for very similar prices, offers vastly superior quality food, similar range of gluten free or vegan/vegetarian dishes, and many dishes have larger portions. I will not return to Lyfe and would not recommend anyone to go there. The wait staff were lovely and efficient.

Nice looking place!!! Walking in having never been there I was a bit confused on what to do. The cash register is directly under a sign that says lyfe TO GO so I assumed you only go there to order take out and wait to be seated. This is not the case! Order your food at that register and then take a seat wherever you like. That is not a take out register. The food was very good. Excellent portion size and plated very nicely. We had the chicken avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries. And the salmon salad. Both were very tasty. The chicken was over cooked but still good. Came out to $30 bucks for lunch. I would expect that for pearl street and quality food. All in all a good experience

This is a very contemporary, bright, airy restaurant just a few blocks from the pedestrian mall. I really liked the design, the different menus for different eaters and the menu items. Also had a great soundtrack playing. We ordered a variety of things from the buffalo chicken wrap to corn chowder, guac and chips, scallopini (chx), hummus, sweet potato fries and grilled artichokes. We were there on a lazy Saturday afternoon when only the front portion of the restaurant including the patio were mostly seated. It took about 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. That seemed like a rather long time. The chicken wraps contained almost no chicken and were a bit bland. The chowder, artichokes and sweet potatoes and hummus were very flavorful, as was the scallopini. Yum! The guac was nearly tasteless. Oh, and the orange ginger chia drink was delish. The tab for 4, including a $7 tip was just under $80. Not a low budget lunch. There's a lot to like about Lyfe, but I'd like to see more consistent emphasis on taste than presentation.

I can't figure this place out. The first time I ate here, I was thrilled! Decent service, great food, and a great place for those with food allergies like me. *Then* I started ordering their food through Hungry Buffs for lunch delivery at work. The first time, I got the edamame hummus plate and the corn chowder, and got very sick. Upon calling the restaurant, they assured me my food allergies had been addressed but gave me no offer for refund, coupon, or anything. The second time I ordered the edamame hummus plate, and received what equated to about a tablespoon of hummus, and three crackers smaller than my pointer finger. The order cost me about $25 and I called to complain. They told me to come in and get a coupon the next time I ate there, but looking at the other reviews here, I'm not feeling confident in that possibility. Today, I foolishly tried one more time, and the delivery has taken over an hour. Ridiculous. I am incredibly disappointed with this place and won't be eating there again. Such a shame!

Lyfe was recommended to me today and thus I decided to try them out for breakfast. The first this you learn is they are really catering to you. Second they care about the integrity of their food. The food os reasonably priced and Lyfe has an awesome wait staff and a friendly environment. Check it out, certainly it will become one of my main stays.

Stop In for early dinner, not crowded. The serving staff was very nice and helpful. I think we looked at everything and decided on for 5 of us, Bison Burger, Spicy Black bean chicken bowl, Grilled tofu tacos, tofu curry and Pizzanini. Also had guacamole appetizer. Drinks were hibiscus tea, cucumber mint water, and lemonade others had water. The Bison burger was a good size but average flavor, the black bean bowl was flavor full but nothing special. The winners were tofu tacos, tofu curry and Pizzanini, they all had really good flavor and portions sizes were sufficient we were all full. The price for all of this was a above average, $75.

I'm vegetarian and love the fake-meat and vegetable options, but I can take my non-vegetarian family too. So, a great place for mixed vegetarian/non-veg groups. Good service and it's a nice-looking place for a fast-casual restaurant, so I don't hesitate to go here for the sort of evening out I'd normally spend at a fancier, more expensive place.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. We had a party of about 6 and we all got our food at different times, and it all took a long time to come out. When we would finally be able to grab someone, they kept us different excuses for what the hold up was. Blaming it on the "buzzers"... like that has something to do with the speed of the food. We were there for a Friday lunch, but the place wasnt overly busy. One order took so long to come out we ended up just taking it to go. I really enjoyed the food- but wish it wasnt such a crap shoot when going out to eat with a group of friends.

  • Mark M.

Concept is odd. Are you a fast food place or a sit down restaurant? What do I do when I want another glass of wine, go back up to the register and pay again? Food is mediocre at best. I guess I should have known not to order a piece of meat here. Basically a fast food experience that is more expensive though it does taste better too. Not by too much though. I don't see this place lasting on Pearl St.

Wonderful place! Food was fabulous, ordered from the Gluten free menu. It had several meus to choose from vegan, GF, paleo, etc. Fresh drinks made with chia seeds. The ginger one was amazing and very refreshing. I had the vegan corn chowder and a salad. A clean, bright and friendly atmosphere. What a great combination of food offerings. Beer is available at the bar/ diner stools. The place was a week new when we went, some of the college age servers will need a bit of work on trianing, other than that, great overall experience. Wish we had one in NC.

Completely baffled by all the 5 star reviews. This is basically a glorified cafeteria. You walk in, stand in line to order, then sit and wait a loooong time for your food to arrive. We ordered the kids "unfried" chicken. It arrived covered in awful-tasting breading, and cooked bone-dry. It's the only thing I've seen my 2-year old spit out. We also tried a crispy chicken sandwich, which apparently doesn't come with actual chicken. We substituted real chicken, but then it doesn't come crispy. Also tried the barramundi noodle bowl. Not a true noodle bowl at all, just a deep dish with some broth poured in the bottom, topped with over cooked soba, edamame, some mushrooms, kimchi (why?), and a piece of over cooked fish. We could see into the kitchen, and the cooks had the recipes taped up over their stations, reading, trying to figure out what ingredient to pile on next. Did not look like professional cooks, that's for sure. The waitstaff was very pleasant, that was the only upside to this restaurant.

Visited for the first time last night and...yum!!! As low-budget vegetarians, my boyfriend and I always end up going to the same places in Boulder, so I'm psyched about finding another great option. It's not SUPER cheap, but it's quite reasonable for the quality of food you get, and for the fact that it's right on Pearl Street in downtown Boulder (makes it a good choice for date night). I had the vegan curry bowl. It was spicy and flavorful, and served on wheat berries, which I thought odd at first, but worked really well. The guac and chips was a bit of a disappointment. The guac was tasty, but the chips were few and not very light and crispy. Instead of wine or beer, we opted for Lyfe water - healthy, juice infused drinks. I had the Cucumber/mint one, which I probably won't get again as it was a bit bland without much flavor, but my guy had the hibiscus tea infused with beet and other juices, and it was amazing! And they're served in large glasses. We finished it all off with a budino - a light dessert made with chia seeds. Just right and not too heavy. Will definitely go back!
