Good food for a good price! I've been going here for years !

We love to get a good bite of Chinese here. There's not a great place to eat with your dog but there are a few benches outside for when the weather is lovely. We enjoy eating here after a good day skiing and snowboarding or after a long hike or after a long hard days of work

Has great food. Closest thing to New York chinese food that you can get in Boulder. However I'm a little frustrated with their delivery service. My husband and I have called for delivery several times and been turned away because their driver is "too busy" which is a turnoff. Please hire more staff. Your food is worth it.

Best cheap quality Chinese in Boulder. Consistently providing a good meal for the money for 14 years. Family run business. Only way they could get 5 stars is of they served Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings.

Always a good choice to come here for take out. Love the general tsaus with tofu and they have a great vegetable mu shu. Large portions, great for left overs, with plenty rice. Canned beveraged to choose from and right next door to king soopers. Fast service!

Let me start by saying the service was Friendly and good. The food came a fresh to order but was a miss for my family. The hot and sour soup was pure vinegar ,The sesame chicken and tofu Lacked flavor as did the sweet and sour chicken.

This is just about exactly what I expected- a fast American Chinese food restaurant. That isn't a bad thing- the food was tasty, service was fast and polite and the price was right. I had firecracker chicken, my portion was huge and it was mostly meat with a few veggies in there. If you're looking for a good strip mall Chinese place that is fast and cheap, look no further than Haoway.

Great fast-food Chinese. Very friendly, attentive service - each time I've been there it has been the same gal taking orders and working the register. The cheapest option is to go with the steam table choices for the day, but I always go for one of the lunch entrees. It takes a bit longer, but I usually hang out and have the soup while I'm waiting and then take the rest to-go. Also, you can get a little bit of a healthier lunch by opting for steamed rice or getting the sauce on the side. I agree that the interior has zero ambiance, but if I'm just ducking in for a quick lunch break, it does the trick. They stack copies of the Boulder Weekly or the Westword to read.

Seriously, their General's chicken is the best. I've never ordered anything else and there's no need to. There's a delivery fee now, but there's also a new kid on the phone who's easy to talk to. Worth it in my opinion. Amazing late night guilty food.

Dumplings were good. General Tsao's Chicken was very dry.

Fast service and polite service. Good fried rice, but the chicken dish I ordered was some pieces of chicken swimming around in some soup.

Not a sit-down servicing restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Only about 10 tables the food is tasty generous and inexpensive. Probably best for takeout. It appears to be a husband and wife operation. As I say nothing fancy but good food

Menu pricing provided online are 15-20% less than those charged. Various webpages contain their menu however none I could find are anywhere near up to date with the prices charged. When asked they claim I must have been looking at the lunch prices and that the menu prices I was looking at online were 10 years old. Thus, they are aware of this issue yet are not fixing it. I walked past this place and thought I'd stop in after seeing such good google reviews. I ordered the orange chicken. Tasted great. Got really nauseas after eating and called them and sure enough they use MSG. If you don't like MSG, AVOID!!! There's no place for MSG in boulder. I feel awful after eating their food.

I ordered takeout and it was nothing special, but it hit the spot since I was craving greasy, fast Chinese food. Their egg drop soup has corn kernels in it, which I found odd--not good, and not necessarily bad, but just odd. The shrimp fried rice was okay, but I've had a lot better.

This is definitely a strip mall kind of Chinese joint. It's super cheap, albeit not too quick on the service side. I ordered the sesame chicken and it's about what you'd expect if you were walking around a suburban mall and looking for cheap but decent food. What's surprised me the most about reading other yelp reviews is the fact that no one mentioned they serve everything in styrofoam, which is kind of a downer and seems like it would be more expensive that just washing plates...but what do I know...I just help people start small businesses. C'mon, Boulderites! I expected more from you! Care more about Mother Earth! :)

Haoway is the best place for Chinese food in town. We've tried other restaurants but none were quite as good as this place. The food is delicious, plentiful and extremely reasonably priced. No matter what we order, we always get crab cheese wontons to go with it. So. Good. If you're not going to Haoway, you're missing out big time.

I'm sort of a vagabond, traveling from one place to the next, spending a couple months, then moving on. One thing I look for in each spot is an old fashioned Chinese cafe. Serving the classics, made fresh, at I-don't-feel-gouged prices. In Boulder, this is the place. Beef and broccoli was perfect: crispy-sweet broccoli and tender beef, not a piece of which was non-chewable. Tasty gravy-type sauce was not watery. I will be back to try Vegetable Tofu with Garlic Sauce, Kung Pao Chicken, Lo Mein and Firecracker Shrimp. Authentic American Chinese food. Right on.

Just so good. Everything (even from the counter during the week) is fresh and delicious. Nothing to look at inside, but the food is worth double what they charge. Easily up there with the best Chinese in the area, if not the best.

I have tried a few different Chinese restaurants in Boulder, and this was by far the worst. I order sweet and sour pork, and it was burnt and dry. It was the same with the fries crab cheese wontons. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I went here after a 7 month break and the wonderful woman who works there/owns it still knew my order of dumplings and soup. Love it.

Sesame chicken and crab wontons were on point. Just what you'd expect from a cheap plaza Chinese joint. They also have huge portions...we only ate half our order between the two of us.

InsanIty!!! I called and the woman I spoke with told me to call back in an hour because they were busy!! Then handed the phone to a poor worker employee and proceeded to tell me they didn't have a manager! And apparently there online menu is inaccurate my order came out to about 35$ for what the online told me was about 20$! Do not order here! Trust me the first experience is excellent, after that your just another costumer.

Easily my favorite american-style chinese in Boulder. The food is always delicious, and usually cooked around the time you order. I've only ever done take-out or dine in, so I'm not sure how their delivery service is... But I've only ever had the best of experiences here. The only reason is gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because it takes a little longer than other chinese restaurants in the area (though it is much higher quality). If they could be a little bit faster, they would get a 5th star. Enjoy!

What can I say? Despite everything being served in some shape of styrofoam(either dine in or take out) I like the food. It is always fast and fresh when I have went and great value for the money. $6-7 dollars gets you a big pile of food. I like it but don't expect gourmet and I wouldnt dine in. Too cramped.

This fast food Americanized Chinese place is in a little strip mall next to King Soopers. There's zero ambiance, and I wouldn't really want to dine in, but it's my go-to fast-food Chinese joint. It appears to be independently owned, and the service is good. The menu is the usual fare, with most dishes being fairly cheap for large portions. There's not too much to say about the food - the dishes are about as standard as psuedo-Chinese gets. They tend slightly toward the sweet side, like most American Chinese places. Usually they are well cooked, but sometimes I get some tough pieces of chicken. The spring/egg rolls are quite good. They don't skimp as much on the veggies as they do at some places, which is nice. There's nothing particularly amazing about this place, but it's an ok place to get some fast-food Chinese. Boulder as a whole lacks good Chinese food, so I don't think you can do a whole lot better here, and the prices and portions are right.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
