I love this place!! Definitely my fav Late-night delivery. Their burgers are juicy and shouldn't be missed.. as well as their cajun boneless buffalo chicken wings w/ lots of spices, and hard to beat with their bleu cheese. I like to get a side of their hottest sauce for dipping - habañero heaven! Beware! This spot is frequently busy at night since it's connected to The Goose, a very cool bar. So if you're planning on going in or ordering, be ready for a wait on weekend and Tuesday nights.

When I used to live in Boulder I would order Fatty's a couple times per week! Their wings are the best in Boulder with an abundance of flavor choices, and you can get half price wings every Wednesday in house! Also the blunts (pizza rolls) were another favorite of mine. I recently made a trip back up to Boulder and had to stop in for some wings and blunts, and they were just as good as I remembered! Yum! Fatty J's is a legend in Boulder. No visit here is complete without a taste!!!

As far as their pizza goes, I'm completely serious when I say I've eaten better pizza from a gas station. At least a slice of cheese is only $1.00. But still, that $1 gas station slice beats a $1 slice of Fatty J's Pizza any day. Didn't help that when I ordered a slice, I asked for a topping, and the girl at the counter told me they only had cheese. When I asked if they could just put the toppings I wanted on top and cook it in the oven like a normal pizza joint would, they refused. Not cool! In the two times I've been here, I've learned to get delivery instead of takeout. Nothing makes me feel more out of place like a 23 year old having to walk through a rowdy trust fund baby's bar in order to walk into a pizza place. ICKY! And it's also packed with drunk sluts, even at 4pm (but you have to give those young lassies mad props for showing up to Fatty J's 20 minutes before prime time). ... But the blunts, dude, the blunts are the best! You must eat an order of the blunts!!!! Sure, the crust is a little more smokey and black than I would prefer, but I mean, you're eating a blunt. It's gonna be a little smokey one way or the other. This is the only thing saving Fatty J's business, in my personal opinion. So here goes the score basics for you; I call this the cliff notes review of Fatty J's, for those of you too toked and (Grey?) Goosed up to comprehend a detailed review: Pizza = negative 4 stars Staff = 2 stars Blunts = 5 stars Grand Total = 3 stars

I ordered delivery a couple nights ago. The pizza was just ok. I got a 14" pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni, and roasted red peppers. I was hungry and eating the pizza made me full. There was nothing very spectacular about it. I didn't like the 'cheesy bread'. I don't remember how it's advertised on their website but all it was was a pan pizza with cheese and no sauce. It was pretty tough and not very appetizing. I'm still trying to find a good pizza place in Boulder. So far I've struck out with Abo's and Fatty J's.

One of my favorite places to get chicken tenders, which come with a special sauce that mixes honey mustard and BBQ. Definitely a popular spot for Wednesday's because they have $0.50 wings. Fatty J's is connected to The Goose Bar, so I would only go here if you're looking to get some drinks as well.

Left off the two dipping sauces i asked for Mozzarella sticks were soggy and under cooked (i have had better storebought) Burger was completely overdone and dry.

We used to go here every Wednesday at least for wings (obviously) and a couple pitchers. Although they would pretty frequently mess up the flavors of the wings we still ate it because it was all pretty tasty. We have tried to go back there 3 times recently and will never return. The first time we walked in to get some food/drinks and although there was only 3 people in the entire place, the 2 bartenders ignored us after an annoyed glance. We stood there for a while to try and order and decided to take our business elsewhere after getting the cold shoulder. The next time we went in one person said they didn't have wings while we watched another take orders for them/bring some out for other tables. The last time we went in we brought some coupons and decided to give it one last shot. (Third times the charm right?) Wrong. They now don't open the kitchen until 3:00 and the coupons are only accepted before then. Being a server I'm decently understanding/empathetic towards people in the service industry but this place is simply a joke. The food isn't good enough for the level of service you get. (Which is none) you can catch me at harpo's.

I appreciate that they are open late. Sometimes this place is great but other times its very awful. very hit and miss. The only thing I like here consistently are there buffalo wings. Their pizza has always been disgusting. the blunts often come under cooked. the fries are very plain tasting usually soggy .As a cruel joke they cook the cheese fries on aluminum foil. It makes it a huge pain to get the cheese off. It's very sad waste of cheese. This place uses aluminum foil for everthing. I suppose it's their way of cutting costs, but to the detriment of their food quality.

I've eaten Fatty J's off and on for about five years now since moving to Boulder. The pizza is pretty good but where it is at are the wings, especially since they stay longer than pizza, which from most places becomes a little cold if you get delivery. I love the spicy barbecue sauce for the wings. I haven't really tried their subs, by my roommate likes them. I have noticed recently that their delivery times are getting better, I am not one to be a stickler about delivery times having delivered in the past, and if you want your food in 30-45 minutes no matter what, you should just go pick it up......... Other than that I recently went in and the atmosphere is different, slightly different decor(new tables and chairs and layout). All in all I would say this is a great place to get good wings and some other grub.

This is a very good delivered pizza. The price was very reasonable for the quality. I got a small veggie that could have served 2 with a salad. The crust was very good, the sauce pretty good, the toppings good also. The delivery was prompt and the pizza still hot. The guy on the phone wasn't especially helpful though, even after I explained that I had no access to a menu to help me order. This would be a do-over if I lived in the area.

Had lunch today from someone else's recommendation. It was disappointing and very average overall. Found big pieces of fat in a slice that had sausage on it. The pepperoni had toppings that were so far apart it was unreal. The crust was very average and about the only good thing I can say is it was not greasy amazingly. Very slim on the sauce they put on and seemed kind of dry. Would not eat here again unfortunately.

This place is so pathetic I don't even see how they stay afloat. I've gotten food poisoning here multiple times. If you get sick don't bother calling them to try to get any compensation or anything because they will tell you that you are lying. All of the workers here are just mad and rude to customers because their job sucks.

I Must say the management change and poor delivery drivers have put me off from ordering here again. Note, my experience was a few months back. I just wanted to note this update. So the story goes... I ordered food for delivery. After almost 2 hours of waiting the driver showed up and blew past me at the front desk. When I called after him he snarled at me and went up the elevators. He delivered my food to the wrong person in a room he had another order for. I called the guest and they confirmed it was not their food (i could hear the guest going through and opening everything) the driver went up and got the food and after the guest pawed all over it the driver told me to pay for it anyways. Then the driver was mad at me for saying i didnt want something that was opened and touched. I asked him to call his manager and he refused. So i said wait and i will call. When I called in to talk to the staff they said it wasn't their problem. When I asked for the manager I was placed on hold and had to repeat the story again. He didn't seem to care either and said if I wanted it I would have to pay for it. I wanted a new order not one the guest opened and poked at. Did I mention the delivery guy looked like a Boulder bum and smelled like one too. Not the usual delivery guy. When I mentioned the driver was rude and unclean, the manager said I don't think we can help you. I reminded him about how often I refer them and order for myself; he said I know but it's not going to change anything. (At the time I worked for a hotel and ordered/referred to them often). After the conversation I stopped referring them and threw away all their menus. I realize delivery for them can be inconvenient since they are now absorbed by the Goose Bar. So I would suggest just discontinuing the delivery side. They were always pushing the 2 hour delivery times. That's fine but don't treat your repeat business and referring customers like that. P.S. They were out of the Inferno sauce for 2 months prior to this. I guess this was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

Let me start by saying this should be a 0 star review! I called Sunday at 7:35 pm, after taking 5 minutes to order they said my order would be 40 minutes. Seems a bit steep for a Sunday but I rolled with it. I drove over to pick it up at 8:30, wasn't ready yet. So that was 50 minutes, not done yet, I asked again after 10 minutes, not done yet, I was ready to leave at 8:50, so I went to ask again, the server said she'll go and check, came back at 8:55 with my stuff. I ordered 2 dozen Boneless!!!! Wings, a 12" pie and some fatty bread(breadsticks). As she handed it to me, the bottom of the pizza is barely warm, so I asked if it was half off because it took an hour and a half, lucky for me she went along with it, so I only spent $15. I cranked the heat up in my car in hopes to heat up the pizza, didn't work! So after I get home, we open the wrappers of foil and not much to our surprise, we got bone-in wings! YAY!!!! Since we ordered a combo with the pizza we were supposed to get two free sodas as well, it was even written on our dup, didn't get that either. As for the food, my god it was bad. The fatty bread was doughy, cold and chewy. The wings were the one dimly shining star, they were big, but slightly over cooked, the sauces were ok but nothing amazing. The pizza, I think a 99 cent frozen pizza would be on the same level, I'm pretty sure the dough was a frozen product. I'd like to say the sodas were good, but I don't want to lie. I KNOW I will never go back here! Maybe if I drink as much as I did last Friday, but I wouldn't go here sober, should've gone to Tra Lings!

I ordered wings from here last night, I got 12 mild and 12 garlic parmesan. I don't know for sure which flavor or if it was both but they were sooo spicy! I usually like my wings mild to medium and then like to get a none spicy one (in this case I thought the garlic parmesan wouldn't be spicy) to eat when my mouth gets too hot. The garlic parmesan was dipped in some orange buffalo sauce before the parmesan was put on top of them (couldn't even taste a hint of garlic) so I think those might have been the super spicy culprits. Besides the unexpected heat, the wings were very good. I actually ended up with 2 extra milds so that was a nice surprise. The delivery was estimated to be 45min-1hr and it ended up being about 1 hr and 10 min. All the other reviews say this place is slow on delivery so I guess 10 min late isn't too bad (could be worse apparently). Will probably order wings from here again but I've gotta be more careful in the flavor choices because my mouth was so spicy I couldn't even finish my portion of the wings.

Mediocre pizza, two-hour delivery wait with no warning -- my experience was similar to Craig's. I was visiting a friend at his home in Boulder when we decided to order. My kids were hungry and I knew the service would be slow, so I had snacks at the ready, but TWO HOURS? Seriously? They estimated one hour up-front and never called to notify us of a delay. When we called them after 80-90 minutes they said "it's on its way" and it took another 30-45 minutes before it showed up. Pizza is not much better quality-wise than Black Jack. Pizza blunts are good. Horrible, disrespectful service.

I think the Wing Pie is perhaps the best pizza I've ever had - I'm a fan of their wings too. The only thing better than the wing pie is the cold wing pie for breakfast. :3 All of the delivery drivers we've had deliver our food have been really friendly and seem happy to talk for a bit and placate our dog's whines for attention attention attention. This place is definitely my favorite place for pizza in Boulder.

Rude service on the phone and in person, even after a generous tip. I've given them 3 chances, pizza is mediocre at best.

Man, Fatty J's was a Boulder LEGEND! Located in the food court on the Hill, it was the best place to get a slice after last call, and for about a six month stretch in 1999 they knew me and my roommate by voice because we ordered pizza from them, literally, 3-4 times a week. My favorites are the meat, the dijon (honey dijon sauce with chicken) and the green (pesto and veggies). Alas, all good things must end... sort of. Fatty J's left the food court and set up shop inside an out-of-the-way bar on a frontage road. Good and bad. The good was that I lived around the corner at the time, so I would walk or ride my bike over for food. The bad, the bar (not Fatty J's) got into some tax trouble and was shut down. Thankfully Fatty J's survived, but eventually moved to its new digs inside the beautiful and quirky Boulder Outlook Hotel. With that came a name change to Skinny J's. Same great food. Better location (the Boulder Outlook is way cool). And this great Boulder tradition lives on.

Service was slow and unfriendly. Pizza was mediocre, ingredients tasted stale and out of date. Toasted Veggie Hoagie was terrible. Only parts of it were toasted and it was pretty much American cheese microwaved on mushy vegetables. The place did have a good homeless shelter atmosphere with two bums watching football and a dirty, busted up bathroom.

Ordered online, after an hour waiting called the store. The guy that answered the phone sounded irritated that he was being bothered and told me that it would be there any second. The driver showed up 10 minutes later wearing torn up clothing and looked stoned. The food was poorly prepared. Won't be ordering again.

I love this pizza! It might be my favorite "delivery" pizza in Boulder. While I love Cosmo's, it's not good if you get it delivered and I only like Pizza Colore for a slice once and a while. Fatty J's offers big, huge and huger pizzas with tons and tons of toppings for a very reasonable price. Try their cheesy bread- its delish!

$1 pizza slices? what's not to love? well, maybe if you don't care much about flavor and just need to fill your tummy with greasy goodness- fatty j's is for you! i was intrigued by the potty name, half-expecting "herbed" slices to be on the menu, but perhaps it's really a paean to the post puff hunger that arises from weed consumption that begot this place's moniker? perhaps.

Super comfort food and great fun bar. A gem for a fun night outside on the patio. What could be better than wings, pizza and cold cold beer? Don't miss the live music when it's there.

Sadly I no longer live in Boulder and miss Fatty J's a whole lot. This place was friggen good. One of the best steak and cheese subs i've ever had and the fried ravioli... TO DIE FOR! Cheap, open late... and delicious.

Once upon a time I was a freshman at the University of Colorado--Boulder. What a fabulous time full of underage drinking, pre-marital sex, video games, rabbits, snowboarding, and incredibly stupid girls. Let's not forget junk food galore and the delightful freshmen 15. On College Hill there are several quick and cheap places to grab some grub for any occasion whether it be breaks between classes or stops between parties. The one place i would stop was Fatty J's and spend a simple few dollars for a fuck ton of pizza. At $1 a slice you can't go wrong. the pizza slices are large and full of grease and cheese and all around ass enlarging goodness. On the weekends the lines can get long with loud and rowdy asshats, but the wait is worth it since there are a couple arcade games around as well as a cornucopia of tanning bed hoe pants gals. you can't go wrong.

I liked the name Fatty J's better, but it's the same awesome food and one of the best pizza joints I've ever been to. Used to be in a bar where they had live music which was cool, but I probably got it delievered most of the time. Everything is good here. They got a ton of specialty pies, try the maui wowie if you like spicy pizza. Fatty folds are dank, basically like a gigantic calzone and I haven't had anything quite like it anywhere else. Fat Stix are my favorite breadsticks ever. Try the Philly Blunts with BBQ sauce or pepperoni and cheese blunts. I'm just going to stop now because I remember lots more of the menu and it's all dank, if they don't have something you want just ask them to make it. Oh yeah, try the fried ravioli it's the best I have ever had anywhere. Best of luck to these guys in the new location and I hope they're doing more business than ever. Stop listening to those popped collar douchebags who can't shut up about Cosmo's, you're missing the best pizza in Boulder if you don't man up to Skinny J's - give them a call.
