This is my favorite frozen yogurt place; here's why. First, the flavors are great. There are fat free, sugar free, and carbohydrate free options; they all taste amazing. Not only are they all delicious, but the prices are entirely reasonable. Second, Doug (the owner) is a great person. He instantiates what it is to be a kind, friendly local business owner. Since my wife and I moved here 2 years ago, Doug has made us feel at home. My wife and I were feeling lonely over the holidays after moving out here, for example, and Doug surprised us with a scented candle as a present, just as a friendly gesture (and not knowing about our homesickness); I wish all business owners were so sweet and welcoming. Overall, this is our favorite dessert place in Boulder. First, the treats are phenomenal. You won't do better anywhere else. But most importantly, this is a paradigm example of a local and friendly business. I've always felt at home here, and I'm sure that you will too. Keep it local, keep it delicious, and visit the Boulder Chill!!

We found this great little yogurt shop when we first moved to Boulder. Unlike the self serve shops, this shop always has chocolate and it tastes better than any others nearby. Plus, we've never run into the problems of the machines not working like every other place we tried. Locally owned and operated, we are usually greeted by the owner. He remembers our "usual" and always has something fun to talk about. When we moved to Longmont, we still drive to his shop in Boulder; its that good. I've been eating frozen yogurt for 30 years now. I bring all my guests from outbid town here and they agree, it's the best!

I went to this place because I thought Ripple was too pricey... big mistake! They do not have self serve, they charge 82 cents per measly topping and the frozen yogurt comes in regular shaped cups so they only place a tiny sprinkle of each topping on the top. Also the raspberry flavor I got was just not good. I will stick with Ripple as they have tons of choices and great flavors for the same price and I get to choose exactly what I want.

Love this shop, the owner always makes us feel welcome and the cookies and cream frozen yogurt is awesome. They also sell Quest Protein products and we make sure to always get our boxes of mix and match Quest bars here, best price you will find online or in a store!

My wife made plans for a family outing to meet a friend on a Saturday around 11 AM. (Nov. 8, 2014) Boulder Chill's website said it opened at 11 AM, so we planned to meet there. We were happy to find a place like this open before noon. Or so we thought. The place was not open. And as Sara M. noted, the hours are not even posted on the door or window. (Or I didn't see them.) If Boulder Chill cannot even post accurate hours on its website, or hire people who show up on time, I'm not too confident about the quality of service & frozen yogurt.

We found this yogurt/ice cream shop after dining at the Tibet Kitchen - across the street. Nice variety of flavors, clean atmosphere, friendly owner.

Much different than the last time I was here, which was in 2008. Did go in with a group of ~12 people once again and the one fellow working, who I am fairly sure was the owner, was great! What I got (strawberry froyo with chocolate sprinkles on cone) was tasty. I do prefer the larger array of choices offered at the various Frozen Yogurt self-serve storefronts in town.....but this was very good.

The owner of Boulder Chill is the single rudest person I have ever encountered. I always say support local businesses but in this case I would go with the Cold Stone across the street instead. This man does not deserve your money.

Delicious ice cream and yogurt. They have all the toppings you could want! I come every time I visit my parents in Boulder.

During the last spurt of warm weather, I was out trying some of the froyo/ice cream/gelato spots around Boulder, some I frequent regularly, some I have never before visited. I tried 3 times to get into this place. They were never open the hours posted, on their window or online. I called twice and got no answer during supposed open hours. One time I could see someone through the front door, apparently on the phone in the back, door locked, chairs up on tables, an hour after supposed opening. Today I stopped in the middle of the afternoon, they were open, the posted hours on the front had been removed and the solo clerk said they were changing their hours and would no longer open before noon. He said he would report my difficulties to the management. The BlueBell Ice cream did not look enticing at all. It's supermarket ice cream and Boulder has plenty of custom made ice cream and gelato available. So I tried the soft serve froyo and it was just fine. I was able to get an extra small cup, with both chocolate and dulche de leche in it. If I am in this neighborhood again when I'd like a frozen treat, I would get the same. But when I am looking for a destination for dessert, there are so many better places in Boulder with so many offerings.

This place is my favorite place in Boulder to get ice cream ... and ice cream is my favorite food so that is saying something! They have great froyo flavors and the man who works there is so friendly. My roommate and I went three times last week alone. I love how they have pre-made pints of the froyo for sale too! Can't go wrong with Boulder Chill.

Greatest yogurt in Boulder. We are regulars and commute across town just for this place. Favorite is cookies and cream....

I don't get the appeal of Blue Bunny ice cream (why not just buy that in the store?) but they have this "ice cream" that is made from non-dairy whey that has 8 calories per ounce and tastes almost like full fat ice cream (though maybe that was all the candy I had sprinkled in.) The candy topping choices are endless - they have the standard butterfingers, oreos, m&m's, etc. but also cocoa puffs, fruity pebbles and other off-the-wall stuff. And the son behind the counter that Cali G mentions below was nothing but fantastic for us. Not only did he not rush us through picking out our toppings, but he explained the whole non-dairy whey ice cream deal to us knowledgeably and patiently.

All the various soft-serve creations that are low in or free of sugar, fat, and/or calories, it's really quite amazing! And most of them are very good! Plus, the service is always friendly and the location has some nice, shady benches outside. I love dropping in here for a small cone on a hot day!

Resist the urge to walk out when you walk in - this is a diamond in the rough. Not your typical fro yo place since you pay for each topping and it's not self-serve. The small size is pretty big and less than $3. I had a pumpkin yogurt over a graham cracker yogurt - awesome. And somehow healthy? Look close to notice all the taps of yogurt behind the counter, it's not super obvious.

Walked in, and the owner was chatting with a friend while it was tremendously slow. Didn't even get acknowledged until 5 minutes later. The Yogurt is all artificial sugars, the place is kind of a dump. The ice cream that I got was really yummy though. Not sure if I'll be back though, there were only 2 flavors with real sugar.

Fro-Yo is good and all, but I GUESS I'm just a fat kid at heart and prefer the delicious full fat flavour of some high quality ice cream!!! I did enjoy my white cake flavored yoghurt and some cookie dough and sprinkles... I just can't help but feel like I should eat like 4 more cups to make up for all the calories I am missing.

This is a pitiful excuse for an ice cream shop. They have lousy artificial ingredients and there is nothing special about the place. I had the worst smoothie ever here.

I can see why they won best of Boulder for Fro-Yo. Their flavors are very tasty, the Red Velvet is probably the best Frozen Yogurt I have ever had. They also seem to really care about their regular customers, I have only seen 2 people working there, the owner and a younger guy and they are both very nice.

Yeah, I think I frequent this place too much. The guys there know me. (Not by name, but they know me.) :) I always get a pint, and I always get either the sugar free stuff (sweetened with Splenda) or their flavors sweetened with Fructose. 8 calories a serving, non-fat. Talk about awesome. Their flavors are out of this world. The Euro-Tart is one of the best I've ever had, period. If you happen to go there and they have Euro-Tart, try doing half-and-half: Euro-Tart and ANY fruit flavor. You will NOT be disappointed. They have a total of 4 machines, and they just got three new ones in - those will be online soon. Their staff tells me they will have a Euro-Tart going 24/7 there. If that's the case, I'll be there 24/7. Trust me, this place is great. I've had lots of different things from them, ranging from shakes and malts to just waffle cones and flavors. I have yet to be disappointed.

Great find. Lived here 3 years and never knew of the place. Little tucked away in the The VIllage shopping center on the corner, it's a cozy little spot with a good bench to sit on outside once you've got your treat. The flavors of Frozen Yogurt they had were amazing, my fave being Cake Batter. I was also particularly impressed when the young guy behind the counter knew exactly what I meant when I asked for "jimmies' as a topping. That was ace in my book and for sure earned him an extra dollar for the night. Definitely a nice routine to get into on a Sunday Summer Afternoon.

Boulder Chill is the only place with low-carb frozen yogurt. Some of their flavors are practically no calories! Guilt-free indulgence, doesn't get much better than that. And they are super friendly.

A great stop in Boulder! An outstanding ice cream and frozen yogurt shop, great combination of options and tremendous customer service. So much to pick from, and the prices are superb. The key to this place is their owner, Doug, who has a great personality & also treats his customers with respect and a positive way. Impossible not to like this place. Location is ideal, just a few blocks north of the CU campus and within walking distance of Boulder Marriott and the 29th Street Mall.
