It's ben and Jerrys. Need I say more? The staff is super up beat like they're all on a sugar rush. Which is fitting.

I have never experienced such an unpleasant, blatantly rude/bordering on mean staff. Before taking our order, the girl behind the counter (shorter, with dark hair, wearing shorts that showed her butt cheeks) threw what was essentially a little fit because a nice, elderly customer accidentally put a small piece of trash in their tip cup. She visibly rolled her eyes at him, and when he apologized (profusely) her only reply was, "that's the third time this week that's happened and now I have to clean it again." She stomped off behind the counter muttering things under her breath and went out of her way to make sure this poor old gentleman knew what a TERRIBLE thing he'd done to her. When it came time for us to order, grumpy girl stomped up to the register and without a word stood in front of us, rolled her eyes, put her hand on her hip, and looked at us with a disgusted expression in silence until I said, "Umm HI?." To which she (again) rolled her eyes and replied, "what do you want." As she was serving us, her mannerisms and irritability made it blatantly obvious that she could care less about her job, customers experience and FEELINGS, and even less about just being a decent human being. We all have bad days sometimes, I get it, but that's no excuse to be downright mean and nasty to nice people who just want some ice cream. Whatever this girl's name was, she absolutely ruined multiple customer's experiences and should without a doubt no longer be employed at this establishment. My sorbet and waffle cone were really good, though.

Who doesn't just love Ben and Jerry's!! It's scrumptious flavors and wide variety. I just want to lick it all over, lol! No seriously, I am craving their chocolate fudge brownie all the time. For someone who is allergic to lactose it's not a good thing. At least they offer delicious sorbet flavors that are much better for my body. I love this location right on Pearl Street in Boulder! It's on the corner and easily accessible. Although, they could use more staff. We went on a beautiful afternoon and it was quite busy and only one person was working, ugh! Oh well, it was worth the wait for sure! I tried the Mango Mango sorbet and it was delectable. I will be back in the near future. But, of course, I will steel a few licks of chocolate fudge brownie!

This is exactly the place I never want to have an ice cream. The few times i went there was the same story. Their flavors are all covered you don't see anything and never even get a sample, all you see is a big blackboard with all the flavors written. The service isn't nice and have really rude employees. Just awfully in all aspects. So much different from their ice cream neighbor. They should learn from their competitors and hire nice people.

Okay, $3.90 for a baby cone? Maybe for a special occasion. $3.90 at a super dirty B&J with employees with attitude? No way! There was a sign in the window that said "be back in five" and we waited. And waited. The floors and counter tops were disgusting, but I was with a toddler who needed ice cream now, so I caved. Save yourself $2.00 and go to Sweet Cow. It's not right on Pearl, but the ice cream is sooo much better, the place is spotless, and the employees act as if they enjoy their jobs.

First time at the one and it is great. Friendly staff and I didn't have to wait to get my food.

You can get Ben & Jerry's anywhere, so its awesomeness doesn't rate here. My stars are directed at the staff. We wandered in about 8:45 pm, craving something sweet, but saw they had peanut related items on the menu, and hesitated about a purchase. They immediately offered to open a brand new container of a safe ice cream and use a fresh scoop, even that late at night. We accepted the offer and they immediately and cheerfully did so, in a different area from the rest of the ice cream. Hubby had his sweet fix with no reactions, and I had my own small serving in a cup and finished first. (I am SO messy with an edible cone that it's better for everyone all around if i don't get one.) I sat my trash on the table in front of me so I could throw it out as we left, but one of the servers swooped on it as she passed by and threw it out for me, in spite of my protest that it wasn't part of her job and I was just waiting to do it when I left. 9 pm on a Friday, and these servers were cheerful and polite, some of them even singing along with the radio. Either they love their job or the smell of waffle cones is the solution to world peace, but either way, they were awesome to us.

Okay, okay, okay...let's all be honest here...I am from Boulder, so I'm partial to any long-standing business on the Pearl Street Mall, and I'm also a former employee of this Ben & Jerry's, but it has been over a decade since I worked here. What hasn't changed, however, is how much I LOVE ICE CREAM and the reasons why I believe B&J's offers the best ice cream, no matter the scoop shop nor the grocery freezer case from which you source your Ben and J's. Now that we've gotten that elephant out of the way, why have I gone out on a limb to give this scoop shop 5 stars of glory? Well, it has come a long way over the years and is absolutely cleaner, better- and more consistently-staffed, with better signage, and better decor, than in years past. Plus, the employees I encountered during my visit over the weekend of June 21st, 2014, were some of the most pleasant and passionate employees I've encountered in a working environment that often breeds temporary and dispassionate college kids in a summer job. Ladies and gents, treat yourself to a freshly-made waffle cone - and trust me on this one - you get more ice cream when you opt for a waffle cone, because who wants to serve a half-empty waffle cone? They just look better when 'full.' Don't be shy about asking the employees about their favorite flavors or for several samples, but do be considerate about the inevitably (and always) long line of ice cream-needing patrons behind you. I just tried the new "CORE" flavors that are now available in Scoop Shop versions, Salted Caramel Blondie and Hazed and Confused - heaven in a waffle cone. With two huge heaping scoops, plus a waffle cone, for only $6, I think that's more than fair. There's ample seating inside, good mall views and people watching, but the best thing to do is to take your cone or cup to go and stroll the Pearl Street Mall while enjoying what Boulder has to offer. Credit cards accepted, though they seem to have CC machine issues from time to time. Plus, if you're a B&J connoisseur, you'll notice you can buy Boulder-specific B&J's tee-shirts here.

Just because a business has a bit of an alternative image doesn't mean it can't be professional, clean and funky all at the same time. Ben & Jerry's is great in Vermont. In Boulder, not so. Behind the counter the floor looked dirty. The counter itself didn't look much better. Prices seemed high but then they always are at B&J no matter where you go. My wife ordered one of the new parfaits and the quantity was just a joke at more than $5. We sat down in the store while she ate her treat. Next to us in the window hang an illumated decoration with the ugly black heavy electrical cable in the middle of the window attached to a socket that had seen better days. Amateurish. My wife liked the flavors of her ice cream, I am not too keen on the ingredients. Natural to me has a different definition from what Unilever thinks it should be. Very disappointing overall.

5 stars for being a Ben & Jerry's with tasty ice cream and an array of sundaes, smoothies, etc. And a non-creepy bathroom, and colorful tables, and a bunch of newspapers. -1 star for always being closed at ridiculously early times of the night - it only has to think about getting dark and this place closes - I don't know what their actual hours are, but whatever they are, they're wrong. -1 star for the service. I've literally been standing at the counter staring at a clerk who's standing by the door in the back pretending he doesn't see me. I've been told that they're out of pints of Chunky Monkey when, right in front of me in the cooler are 4 pints of Chunky Monkey. And the list goes on. But hey, it's a Ben & Jerry's. Do you like Ben & Jerry's? Then you shall like this Ben & Jerry's, if they manage to get your ice cream from the icebox into your hand without too much drama.

Just went to the Boulder, CO scoop shop at 10:17pm and it was closed. The employee Zack then stalled when we asked closing time and he said 9:30pm. But the website says 11pm. Its unfortunate because we were a group of 5 all wanting some late night treats on a Saturday night. Gonna think twice next time. Gave 1-star because i love B&J but upset that it was closed 1.5 hours early.

This place get 5-stars because today was FREE CONE day and I just ate the hell out of a Cherry Garcia scoop in a sugar cone. Cost = $1 tip. Note: They only get 5-stars for today, April 29, 2008. On the other 364 days of the year they get 4 stars.

It was late at night and my wife and I wanted something sweet to eat. We stopped here and shared a banana split. It was good, satisfied our craving.
