Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Best pizza I have ever had. Had a lot of taste. The service was above par and the waiters were very nice and respectful. They were very flexible and made you pizza just as you wanted it!!!!

Hubby and I split the large Greek salad and Italian hoagie. Both delicious! Nice selection of draft beers. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio.

I went to Blue Moose with a group after a long day of travel to the resort. We were looking for something casual and fun, and the restaurant was a great pick. Solid pizza, inexpensive and a good gathering place. Definitely recommend.

I have been to the Blue Moose in Beaver Creek 3X in the past month and what a great place it is to drop in grab a beer and a pizza and be waited on by a super friendly staff. You can see that the employees are enjoying themselves, and the bar area is my favorite place to grab a quick bite. You can't go wrong stopping by the Blue Moose. My favorite server has to be the super friendly Alyssa!

I can't get this business to answer the phone to save my life. I've called 6-7 times per night for the past two nights. I understand once or twice, but I've called over a two hour period both nights. I would not recommend calling them for take out. I have eaten there in person in the past and enjoyed it.

We had an early lunch on a Wednesday in the summer. They have outdoor seating which was perfect on a beautiful day. The service was so so but the pizza made up for it. We had a 15" pizza with ground beef, spinach, and feta cheese. It was delicious and we were full without feeling gross. The crust was light and tasty. None of that greasy stuff going on here. Fresh and tasty! Our bill was about $26 after tip. Not bad at all for a delicious lunch for 3!!
(4)Chad T.
Lasagna, pasta, and pizza were all bland. Service seemed very disinterested and lacked sincerity.

we ordered take out on our way to Junction from CO Springs. the food was fantastic and 5 star worthy, the bar tender was friendly and made sure that we were taken care of, the only reason for the 4 stars were the girls at the front didn't seem to know how to deal with our service dog. she was quiet as she is trained, we sat in the front waiting area as we waited for our food. We got what felt like dirty looks and couldn't wait to get out of there since it felt like we were being judged. My husband is a Veteran but we felt because he wasn't missing any limbs we were judged which never feels good. BUUUUTTT Our Pizza was AMAZING! I will review again when we actually go back to sit down for dinner sometime. We do plan on returning

Three of us ate at The Blue Moose last March and while the pizza was good, the service was terrible. First of all, nobody in the front of the house was older than 20, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but often foreshadows doom in terms of the quality of the service. We waited a short time for our table and once we were seated, ordered a couple of beers, a pizza, and a single slice of cheese pizza for our very picky nine year-old daughter. While our daughter received her diet coke right away, it took about 15 minutes for our server to bring my wife and I our bottles of beer. Now look, folks, I'm a reasonable man. Before I became an expert in everything in the world, I worked restaurants (front and back) for about 10 years of my life. I KNOW the bar gets busy. I KNOW servers go in the weeds, and I am not a dick about any of these things. So, when the server finally appeared with our beers, I did the smart thing: I went ahead and ordered another beer right away. After a another ten minutes (or so), my daughter, who had been skiing all day, was starved to the point that all she could do was flop dramatically around the table (the way that only starving kids can do) until it damn-near drove me insane and spurred me into action. As our server was scurrying blindly into the kitchen I managed to get her attention and called her over to our table. What follows is our conversation (more or less): Me: "Could you please bring out my daughter's slice of cheese pizza right away? She is starving and driving me insane with all of her non-stop groaning and flopping about the table." Server: "Actually, I can't do that as they are making her pizza along with the pizza you and your wife are sharing." Me: "Huh? You can't just bring her out a plain slice of pizza?" Server: "no. Like I said, they are making her pizza along with the other pizza." Me: "So let me get this straight: The cooks are making a whole pizza for my daughter, cutting out one slice, and then throwing the rest in the garbage? THAT'S how you guys make a slice of pizza? Or are you actually forming her an individual slice of pizza, you know, with like some kind of a wedge-shaped mold?" Server (tartly - and perhaps deservedly so): "Like I said, they are making her pizza along with the other pizza." Me: "...uh.... OK. Can I get my beer as well?" Ten more minutes passed and then the manager came out of the kitchen with our food order. I assume he was the manager - he was wearing slacks and a button-down shirt that was covered awkwardly by a white kitchen jacket. Also, he was about 30 years old, which would have given him seniority over the rest of the staff by about 10 years. The way he made a big, condescending production about the arrival of our food indicated to me that the server had said something to him and branded me as a trouble-maker. Manager-guy: "And HERE you GO! Your PIZZA is here! Now, is there anything else I can get for you?!" Me: "I'd like my beer please." Manager-guy: "I happen to KNOW that (insert name of lousy server) is at the BAR and getting it for you as we SPEAK!" And with that statement and a flourish, he turned on-point and walked back into the kitchen, never to be seen again by me, or by my family. Ten minutes later I got my beer from (insert name of lousy server) along with the check. I ended up taking the beer with me and chugging it at the door as by that time, we had been in the restaurant for close to two hours. How do I sum this overall unsatisfactory experience? I'm not sure. To be fair, when you actually GET the pizza, it's pretty-good. However, they need to overhaul their service standards, tell manager-guy to lose his attitude, and perhaps hire some better floor staff who are capable of solving simple problems. Here's the thing, though: it would seem that if you actually HAVE problem-solving skills, you're not working in a pizza restaurant in the first place, so maybe I'm an idiot for thinking that our waitress had an IQ above room temperature and could help me help her.
(2)Peggy O.
Autumn and winter pizzas- different but quite tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the autumn- truffle oil with mushrooms and plenty of garlic. This crust was more on the thin side which takes it up a notch In my book. A nice spectrum of local beers to complement the pizzas. Lovely patio to sit outside in the summer!
(4)Melinda P.
A family favorite since 1995. We love this pizza!!! We eat here every time we are in Beaver Creek. Nice, casual atmosphere in beautiful Beaver Creek Village.
(5)Leslie Z.
Love this place! Although it is "off" season for Beaver Creek this place was jamming. Hostess let us know that the waitstaff was slammed and that they would text us in about 15 minutes while they caught up. I appreciated the heads up and could see they were busy. We walked around for a bit till we were notified that they were ready for us. Waiter was great and friendly and was able to manage his section well. As for the food... worth the small wait!!!! Again the waiter was great in making suggestions which we took. The Vintage pizza was awesome. Prices were great! Food to table was also quick. Restaurant seems to be run well. We are Colorado residents and travel there often. We look forward to going back very soon.
(4)Jake B.
We had a group of 10 there for dinner. They were very accommodating. The service was good & the pizza was tasty. Location is great; right at the base of the mountain village. Prices were fair.
(4)Lynda B.
Usually a good time, this evening for some reason....AWFUL. 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us at our table. I feel there should be someone other than high school students on site. Where is the management? No one available.
(1)Andrew M.
This place deserves 5 stars for value and service. There's very little in the area where you can pick up lunch for $5. And then you can get a fantastic cookie for an extra $1. The only thing holding back the full score was the entree salad. It runs $8, but clearly has a lot in common with the pizza in terms of ingredients. The mushrooms looked like they had seen better days. Or weeks. Of course, maybe it was me. (Who orders a full salad at a pizza place.) Didn't stop me from coming back for dinner. Meatball sub is also 5-star worthy.
(4)Kelsey K.
I went here with my family and our friends. The service was awesome! We sat outside, but as the sun went down we got a bit chilly. The staff kindly helped us move inside. While the service was great the pizza was average. It was pretty good but I don't really see anything too special about it. Beaver Creek is such a cute town and you should go to Blue Moose if you have the chance.
(4)Rachel L.
We called ahead for pick up for calzones and were excited to eat them. However, they were TERRIBLE! We ordered a stromboli calzone and buffalo calzone. The buffalo calzone had none of the buffalo wing sauce that was described in the menu. However, worse than that, the dough on half of it was raw. RAW!!!! So disappointing and disgusting. If you want a terrible calzone that is raw in parts and not made with all the described ingredients...then this place is for you.
(1)Robert S.
Worst service ever. I'll say this, if you're looking to lounge and not care about how long mediocre pizza takes or how long your beer takes to get to you....go for it... Otherwise stay away! Anyone with half a palate for pizza knows this place is not a pizzeria. Again worst service ever.
(1)Jim G.
The moose is pizzeria in the middle of all the action by Beaver Creek ice skating rink. Friendly service and nice bar area and great blue margaritas, but just average pizza. Still good bet for lunch not too far from the lifts.
(3)Vince R.
We were in town for the world cup skiing. Our highschool organized a small alumni gathering that we attended. We showed up and found a long table with booth seats near the back corner of the place, a couple pizzas and some water pitchers. The alumni were standing around the table drinking and socializing. Soon after ordering drinks and joining the conversations the GM came by and passive aggressively asked us how we were doing. He promptly added that we were in the way and reminded us we had not requested an area for a private party and only had a table reservation. I completely understand what he problem was. I worked ad a line cook for several years and know all about restaurant issues in the back and in the front of the house. The problem here is how he chose to deal with the situation. He could have kindly requested that we sit down because we were blocking the aisle. Instead he chose to be rude and quickly got as much of our table cleared as possible while asking if we were finished with things. It was clear he wanted us out despite the fact that we were spending money on drinks and the pizza ordered. There were two ways to approach the situation and instead of being nice, explaining what the issue was and accommodating our party, he chose to be rude, passive aggressive, and shoo us out as soon as he could. What a jerk. I will refrain from using vulgar language here. When you are in the service industry your clients are the top priority. We were as much clients as the next ones being seated after our departure and deserved to be treated as such. If anyone asks me about this place I will discourage them from going as a result of my disgust with the way we were treated. Yea, the pizza was fine. But the food everywhere else is good so why would I support this place with the a-hole GM? The waitresses were great by the way.
(1)Megan H.
Pretty good pizza, small but great craft beer selection on tap. I had a house salad that came with basil vinaigrette, which was exceptionally delicious. We had great service as well. Highly recommended!
(4)George H.
Took our grandkids for pizza & beer (oops-beer for Mimi & Papa). Great atmosphere for families & everyone else. Fun place with paper tablecloths that kids can color on. Pizza was fabulous-my 13 yr old grandson said best he's ever had (he is an expert). Really was good. Service excellent as well. Just got here but pretty sure we will be back before we leave.
(5)Kel T.
We stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered two different salads, Greek and spinach. The small salad is quite big, and they bring extra plates for the overflow. If you add meat, it is served warm on the salad. Both were good, but the vinagrette dressing was too oily. Service was friendly. Great place for groups.
(3)George M.
Left the slopes and headed over to the Blue Moose for lunch, they had a 30 minute wait so we ate outside ( no big deal ) the waitress was very good and brought everything promptly. The pizza is slightly better in other spots but the service here seems to be better than most. Drinks, apps, and salad were really good and everyone left happy. Beaver Creek is tough this trip everyone is either a complete superstar or a complete jerk. Two thumbs up for Blue Moose though even the manager brought half the food out and asked if we need anything. When a restaurant " team " works together the guests always have the right experience. Certainly today they achieved that at the Blue Moose, thanks

Eating out in Beaver Creek isn't cheap. However, I would never say the restaurants here are a rip-off unless I determine it to be true. In fact, most of our dining experiences in BC have been worth it. As a resort town with international visitors and a more rigorous reputation for excellence than Colorado's other Vail Resorts, high prices come with the territory. So it's always with pleasure to stop by the Blue Moose. Knowing that it gets very busy for being one of the few reasonable places at which to dine in BC, we decided to eat early at 5:30PM on a Monday evening. We were seated immediately by a friendly host, and our server soon greeted us. She was nice and efficient, and we received much more attention from her than from our server at the neighboring, higher-priced Hooked. Our Big Moose pizza was great, and the 15" was the perfect size for two hungry skiers. It was simple and nothing extraordinary, but it hit the spot so wonderfully that we wondered why we don't dine here more often. The crust is good (not thin but not deep dish), the sauce is tasty, and they don't skimp on the toppings. Atmosphere is very family friendly. The brightly-lit restaurant has seen better days as much of the interior seems a bit worn, but the easy-going bar up front makes you feel at home. Tables are covered in paper with a can of crayons waiting for artists of all ages. Restrooms are shared with the lobby of the neighboring hotel, so it's a short walk to the nicely-appointed facilities. Recommended - just understand that if you go during prime dinner time, most likely you'll be waiting for a table.
(4)Danny S.
Crazy good pizza and great location. Expensive for what it is, but that's to be expected in Beaver Creek. Definitely worth checking out and assuming it's not freezing, sit outside, the interior isn't the greatest.
(5)Julie B.
Family oriented and super fast service. No ice cream tho - bummer! Always friendly staff which keeps me a business owner coming back!
(4)Jessica D.
This place was awesome. We went on a Saturday night and only had to wait a short time. Our food was also delicious! Service was great and we had a great experience. Will definitely go back to this place, especially since they have gluten free pizza!
(5)Duncan C.
Okay pizza, decent prices, salads were a bit wilty-ish, service could improve vastly. Chicken parm with pasta - the pasta was basically inedible and I didn't think pasta could get screwed up, but the chicken was good enough. Their biggest asset would be the beer list. A good place to go if you have kids that don't care for the BC upscale scene.
(2)Wendy N.
Pizza was great! Bloody Mary's were yummy. Andrew our server was a lot of fun. Daughter has dairy allergy, they made sure not a drop of cheese was on her side. Great experience!!
(5)J H.
Nice place to go if you are looking for a good pizza in the Beaver Creek area. Service was very good and the pizza was excellent. Good place to take kids because they put down paper on the table kids can draw on.
(4)Hadie R.
Barely decent pizza. Outrageous prices. Save some money and take a cab to Avon for better pizza.
(2)Alex J.
We called Blue Moose tonight - they were busy - they always are -I get that. "Laura" answered the phone - two times she complained of a bad cell signal and hung up - funny, because we heard her perfectly. The third time, we called from a land line, asked if we could substitute ziti for spaghetti on one of the dishes and she snapped 'That isn't on the menu - why don't you read the menu before you call back?' and he hung up Thanks Laura - we'll go order food from somewhere with people who know how to talk to customers ---Update --- So.. I posted this review on Yelp and emailed the company - expected (and quite frankly wanted) nothing. Much to my shock, I received an email back the next day - a long, apologetic email, asking me to call. The person I spoke to couldn't do enough to make right. That is the sign of a class organization.
(4)John R.
The pizza is good. The service is friendly. The best part, however, is being able to order any of their specialty pizza BY THE SLICE.
(4)Jennifer C.
Oh, heck, yeah! We've now added Blue Moose to our annual Vail restaurant list. First of all, Zak, our waiter is outstanding. What a cool kid. Smart, hard working and all around good guy. Here's what we had: Bottle of Chianti was delicious. Since Blue Moose didn't make it, they only carry it, I say they made a nice choice. Per Zak's recommendation, we chose the Vonnderful pizza. Holy cow, was it delicous! Could hardly stop eating. Ordered a large so we could take some home for leftovers during the remainder of our vacation. Ingredients: GRILLED CHICKEN, ARTICHOKE HEARTS, ROASTED GARLIC, SUN-DRIED TOMATO AND PESTO, SPRINKLED WITH MOZZARELLA AND GOAT CHEESE. A slice of heaven!
(5)Brandon F.
Best pizza in the area by far. Not the best I've ever had, but it was fast on delivery, tasted fresh, and had reasonable topping distribution.
(4)Suzanne R.
Had a special pizza (Vonndervul I think) and a the Blue Moose. Also had the wings. The pizza crust is pretty thin. Overall, the food was just ok. It wasn't anything special. The service was pretty bad. The waiter was clearly annoyed that I had young ones with me (4 and 2). Um, it's a pizza place. Don't be annoyed....and, in case you're thinking that my kids we're bring obnoxious, they were not. I would have given 3 stars if it weren't for the service.
(2)Darren G.
The Vonnderful Pizza is great! We had it without the goat cheese.
(4)Colleen H.
Love the calzone. The 4 stars is only because I did not try the Pizza (next time) and don't feel it is a true review of a Pizza place without trying the Pizza. I am sure it is great though. Super casual, great for kids and families and just what we needed after a week of expensive, heavy meals!
(4)Jesse R.
We were staying at the Poste Montane, which is right next door, so we had to try the Blue Moose. Our waitress was super friendly. We sampled a few Colorado beers which all seemed reasonably priced. Then shared a large pizza, half spring half blue moose. The spring was good, but I like a tomato base more than a pesto base. Overall, the pizza was good and a great casual spot for dinner.
(4)Christine A.
Two slices of mediocre pizza, two local beers, a cup of cold chili = $35 It was late 11:00 pm, it was cold, and we wanted something to munch on as we strolled around Beaver Creek Village. Worth it? Nah. Would we come back? Nah
(2)laurie M.
Blue Moose Pizza is fantastic! After all the cost of skiing and eating in Beaver Creek, what a treat to discover a place to eat that is casual and not a rip off. GREAT FOOD and GREAT prices! They have lots of food, but pizza is really their best so make sure you order that! There is a bar and while in the bar you can see the guys in the kitchen tossing up the dough for the pizzas! They are good! See the video below that I did on Blue Moose Pizza! youtube.com/watch?v=Iq2d… And if you are in the mood it's right next to the skating rink!
(5)Samantha E.
We came here for lunch yesterday and enjoyed it. Both the Beaver Creek Art Festival and Colorado Defense Lawyers Association meeting were going on so it was pretty crowded, but we were seated quickly and service was friendly. Between the four of us, we had an Italian hoagie, chicken parmesan sub, and a pizza split between the summer and barbecue chicken. They both liked the sandwiches, although it was odd they couldn't give her any mustard or condiments for the hoagie. I enjoyed the summer pizza (pesto, artichokes, and tomatoes-- yum) and apparently the barbecue side was good as well. It was nice they could split a pizza between two types with different sauces. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but it was a tasty lunch and reasonably priced given the location.
(3)James L.
Maybe it's the mountains - (Pizza always seems to taste better up here) - but at any rate, the Blue Moose rules! It was busy and there was a wait, but very worth it. Tried sitting outside but got too cool, and they were very cool about moving us inside. It would be our first stop next time we vist the "beav"!
(4)Dan C.
TERRIBLE service! Waited 2 hours to get seated, and still took another hour to get our pizza. I had to go find the waitress and remind her we were waiting. They were more concerned about the phone order pizza's than the customers in front of them.
(1)Steve M.
Tasty pizza with whole wheat and gluten free crust options. Excellent spinach salad. Good beer, but more taps please ;-)
(5)Kelly H.
Blue Moose has been a family favorite for us that we visit multiple times when we're in Vail, but it's doubtful we'll ever return again after my son was brought to tears by our waiter, Josh from Houston, on Fourth of July 2013. He forgot to input my son's order with the rest of our order, which would have been fine (he comp'd it), but he put my son's order in the main queue of orders on a busy night--leaving my son waiting another 30 + minutes to get his pizza. It wasn't until I finally asked the status that Josh did anything about getting the order bumped up in the queue. He suggested to my son to eat some of our pizza while he waited--which was my son's breakdown point and he began crying (he's a very picky eater and felt it was someone forcing him to eat something he couldn't stomach). When I asked to speak to the manager at that point, he pretty much said no--that the manager was the person who moved my son's pizza up in the queue finally and that's all he could do. I've worked food service and this shouldn't have happened--you should always ensure "fixes" are moved to the front of the queue and ensure family's with small children get their kid's needs met. I realize that this was a one waiter on a busy night experience, but one bad experience has definitely overshadowed all the good of the past.
(1)MC C.
Thanks be to the Moose for being open when EVERY other restaurant shuts down early!!
(5)Greg R.
Good food, but really slow service
(3)Bill M.
Love Blue Moose pizza. It is one of our favorite things to do when visiting BC. We love to sit outside and watch the kids play in the spray ground.
(5)E S.
The pizza here was delicious! We ordered the supreme and pepperoni. Their slices are like sbarro slices. The buffalo wings were spicy and had a great kick to them.
(4)Skipper O.
Had lunch twice in one week. Both times had the Mediterranean vegetable pizza and my wife had regular pizza. Also had the Greek salad and, of course some draft ale. Food and drink was good as was the service. A bit pricey for what we ate--but that's typical for BC.
(3)Glynne W.
This is a consistently good place to eat pizza. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Great place for the family and easy on the budget!
(4)Cristina B.
Oh how I crave for the meat lovers pizza once more. Sadly, I am 2000 miles away.
(4)Arnulfo S.
Good pizza, it's good if you have children, not the best of the area (speaking about taste) but it's tasteful. The children will have entertainment and a good time because they put you a huge piece of paper in top of your table so you can draw, anything. They have a lot of people, logically, but it's a cool place to go and delicious place to eat Italian food.
(4)Melanie S.
Fantastic food but terrible service. Could have just been the waitress we had but they need to improve on this. Otherwise pizza, salads, meatball sub and cookies were delicious!
(3)Sara A.
Pretty basic pizza place. My husband & I stopped here for dinner after a busy day hiking & wandering around Vail. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, loved that it had lots of chicken on it. Nothing to write home about, but it was definitely good for the price. Best part of the meal? Taking home 6 fresh-baked HUGE chocolate chip cookies with us for just $5.95. That's gotta be the best deal in Vail!
(3)Chiara H.
I had one slice of cheese pizza and a bowl of spinach salad here. Deeeeeelicious! The atmosphere was nice and I liked how it was right next to the ice skating rink.
(4)Lisa B.
Great pizza in chichi Beaver Creek. The pizza crust is da yum and my friend inhaled the fries. Located in very chill shopping plaza.
(5)Jessica E.
Best pizza in Beaver Creek!
(4)Maurice B.
The pizza here is really good....so are the wings. It is very family friendly and therefore pretty busy and loud but whatever. Good eats! I highly reco the cowboy pizza!
(3)Nela D.
come here for the pizza which is good, not the service - slow / inattentive but friendly - or pastas or salads. decent local beer selection :)
(3)Megan M.
The waitress in this restaurant was so mean, I nearly cried. Seriously. I won't bore you with all the details, but I was on my own, sat at the bar, and she was just mean and nasty. I would NEVER go back. The pizza was edible, probably decent, but it is hard to determine the quality of food when you are choking back tears. I was served a slice with a bunch of raw mushrooms on it (I'd requested mushrooms instead of pepperoni, and the waitress said "that is definitely going to cost you extra"). Well, apparently it is unacceptable to ask the staff to put the pizza back in the oven to cook the mushrooms. Don't piss off the waitress!!! It's just not worth it! There was a sign that said "Lunch special: Slice of pizza, fountain drink, $5". I ordered one slice, no drink, and was charged $7.50. Not a deal, if you ask me.
(1)Nick J.
Cool place for lunch in Beaver Creek. 1 Fat tire beer and 2 slices of pie made for a perfect lunch to recharge the batteries and finish off the day strong. We had a group of 10 or so, and I thought the server did a great job constantly ensuring that everyone had what they needed in terms of food and drinks. In addition to the pizza, a few others at the table had the hot sandwiches (Italian & Chicken Parm) which were very tasty as well. One of the better options for a reasonably priced lunch in Beaver Creak.
(4)Nathan D.
We had the Vunnderful pizza this evening. Good pizza, great service, but.were trying to conserve heat in there. Man it was cold. Would i go again? Absolutely yes but I'd wear my parka and ear muffs
(4)Cousin D.
We went ther twice on our trip. When you have 3 boys age 12 you have to have pizza! I thought the food was good and the service was fine. WHat do you expect from seasonal people in a ski resort. The boys got blue moose hoodies and were happy, so that makes the parents happy. Oh, did I mention the beer is good! Maybe it was the acohol that made the pizza taste good!

Great pizza. Nice "all 'round" crust (not thin, not too thick) that appeals to most. The toppings seemed fresh and of high quality. The mozzarella seemed to be fairly high quality and they didn't skimp. Sauce was good, and there was enough, even without asking for extra. Great pie!

We went here three, count 'em three time in the span of a few days. Most of this was due to the lack of restaurants that sounded good. (Sorry BC, but when you're veg, Elk burgers just don't appeal to us) The first night we got a super nice waitress. We got a 50/50 pizza and I have to say, this is some of the tastiest pizza I've ever had. They have really awesome topping combos and what seems like a decent selection of local beers. Word of advice: If this is your first night and you're not used to being at high altitude, you might want to avoid the double alcohol content that is Colorado beers. And drink lots of water. Or you might find yourself ready to black out at midnite. Seriously. The second time the food was great, but the waitress only so-so. The last time we got the same great food and the waiter was super sweet. I would for sure go back. There's still a few pizzas I wish we had tried, so I hope they're still open when we go back.

So we were up there a few weeks ago for the sites and sounds and wanted some pizza. (I've intentionally waited a while to write the review to cool off and try and be unbiased.) We request a seat, told it will be a 30 minute wait and given a beeper. Fine. We take the kids down to the splash pad 30 feet away and wait. We wait and wait. After an hour and half we ask about the table. Instead of an apology or explanation I get an assholesque "I've been paging you guys for a long time!". I hand him the unflashing pager and he mumbles that it must be broken. Our order is taken for Hawaiian style pizza. 10 minutes later we are told the restaurant is out of Canadian Bacon. Fine. We order something else. 10 minutes into our shitty meal they bring out a slice of Hawaiian and state the Canadian bacon miraculously reappeared. Big issue here is that my pregnant wife and upset kids had to wait way too long for below-average pizza, were treated poorly and were lied to. I've eaten in dive pizza joints in New York and the service at Blue Moose Pizza is hands down the worst ever. Regarding other reviews: "Best pizza in Beaver Creek" is like saying "Nicest despotic dictator in Korea".

5 stars for consistency. Since our family started skiing in BC, our tradition has been to eat here the first night. The pizza crust is thin & now offered in wheat - super. Even the vegetarian pizza with light cheese is great. Good beer, wine & family atmosphere. Good price as well.
(5)Jack R.
We were walking through the village and stopped in for lunch. Better than average pizza and friendly staff. We ordered a small cheese pizza and both enjoyed it. What a great location! I would love to come and sit outside in the summer time and have a pizza and beer.
(4)Graham L.
Good pizza I love the meat lovers pizza
(5)Chris J.
My group and I were not too impressed with Blue Moose Pizza, mainly because of the awkward service. Both the front counter staff and the waitress left us puzzled with strange interactions... The pizza was decent, but nothing horribly special. If you're looking for a moderately priced, decent dining experience, Blue Moose will do. Just don't set your expectations too high.
(3)Mike B.
Slow service, rude manager and server. Prices were OK being a resort town. The pizza was very tasty though. I would have rated this place high if the service experience was up to par.
(2)Georgia L.
We were staying at the Charter in BC with no car. We wanted to eat in the village but didn't want to spend $35-50 per entree. We decided to try pizza. The service was great. I had just torn my ACL skiing that day and was on crutches. The waiter offered to bring me ice for my knee and set us up at a very convenient table. He brought us our beer and wine quickly. I ordered a small house salad which was big and delicious. We ordered the Greek Pizza with no black olives and substituted onions. It was fantastic! Better crust than our favorite pizza back home. We ordered the 12 inch and still took two slices back to our hotel. The next morning the two slices were tasty right out of the fridge. I highly recommend this pizza restaurant. Next time I plan to have the Lasagna. I have confidence in the quality of the food!
(5)Parker S.
Best pizza I have ever had. Had a lot of taste. The service was above par and the waiters were very nice and respectful. They were very flexible and made you pizza just as you wanted it!!!!
(5)Cheryl Q.
Hubby and I split the large Greek salad and Italian hoagie. Both delicious! Nice selection of draft beers. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio.
(5)Chris G.
I can't get this business to answer the phone to save my life. I've called 6-7 times per night for the past two nights. I understand once or twice, but I've called over a two hour period both nights. I would not recommend calling them for take out. I have eaten there in person in the past and enjoyed it.
(1)Nicole M.

(5)Darren G.
The Vonnderful Pizza is great! We had it without the goat cheese.
(4)Mike B.
Slow service, rude manager and server. Prices were OK being a resort town. The pizza was very tasty though. I would have rated this place high if the service experience was up to par.
(2)Kristina W.
I went to Blue Moose with a group after a long day of travel to the resort. We were looking for something casual and fun, and the restaurant was a great pick. Solid pizza, inexpensive and a good gathering place. Definitely recommend.
(4)Leslie Z.
(3)Mark P.
(5)Vince R.
(4)Sarah N.
(2)Colleen H.
(3)Melanie S.
(3)Bill M.
Love Blue Moose pizza. It is one of our favorite things to do when visiting BC. We love to sit outside and watch the kids play in the spray ground.
(5)Megan M.
(4)The-Pizza-Nazi S.

The pizza here was delicious! We ordered the supreme and pepperoni. Their slices are like sbarro slices. The buffalo wings were spicy and had a great kick to them.

Had lunch twice in one week. Both times had the Mediterranean vegetable pizza and my wife had regular pizza. Also had the Greek salad and, of course some draft ale. Food and drink was good as was the service. A bit pricey for what we ate--but that's typical for BC.

This is a consistently good place to eat pizza. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Great place for the family and easy on the budget!

We were walking through the village and stopped in for lunch. Better than average pizza and friendly staff. We ordered a small cheese pizza and both enjoyed it. What a great location! I would love to come and sit outside in the summer time and have a pizza and beer.

Oh how I crave for the meat lovers pizza once more. Sadly, I am 2000 miles away.
