great bagels! this will say it all. we enjoyed some great (and EXPENSIVE) meals on our trip including Zach's Cabin and Kelly Liken. When asked what was his favorite meail was on our trip, my BF quickly answered, "the bagel shop!" 'nuff said!

We have eaten here 2 times and we enjoy our food every time. They make the best breakfast sandwiches! Make sure you allow for extra time because they make everything fresh. I would love to try their lunch, but we are never around. If you are visiting the area, this is a must.

Meh! Based on all the glowing reviews we were expecting much better. Don't bother - you can get a better bfast swich and bfast burrito just about anywhere else. Both were bland and boring. And the wait was long - they got ur order in right away but food wasn't out for close to 15min.

    decent sandwiches. Kind of girly.

great food and awesome bread, they sell it 2 for 1 on tuesdays, everything is natural and organic and at a reasonable price, my only little complaint is the waitress who took my order just decided not to write any of the details of my sandwich and what do ya know i arrive at home with the wrong sandwich, still a delicious sandwich but still wrong.

If I had one choice of a place to eat in Eagle County, the Avon Bakery would be it. The bagels are absolutely wonderful. The sandwiches are wonderful. The people that work here are always SO kind and gracious, even when having to serve those silly stuck up and arrogant tourists that come here. I seriously love this place. It was the best part of living in Avon.

Avon Bakery is affordable, really fast for how busy they are, and their chicken salad sandwich has grapes in it! Yum!

Awesome bakery and sandwiches. I personally get the turkey sandwich, which I order with hummus on it and all veggies. Working in Vail Valley a couple days a week, this is my respite of affordable food and great friendly service. The cookies make for a nice treat too. Just tried the chicken parm sandwich on last stop by.

Amazing sandwich, but beware it is expensive if you are on a road trip driving through.

  • Jeremy M.

    Good bread. Try the reuben.

    (4)
  • Jodi J.

The bagels are one of a kind. Must try the jalapeno cheese bagel. It's huge and spicy and almost a meal in itself.

Fabulous veggie sandwich, tortilla soup, and oatmeal cookie.. delicious bread, and great pumpkin bread...

Everything Avon Bakery offers is fresh and tasty. I stop here every chance I get.

Wow. We were very happy to find this place during a recent trip to Avon/Beaver Creek. Lunch on Day One was so good that we went back for breakfast on Day Two, and both meals were excellent. Their Ruben was one of the best I've ever had, and the super dense loaf of banana walnut bread we bought was a big hit as well. This Deli alone is enough to make me want to visit Avon again.

I live right down the street from this place unfortunately! This place is great! Being from San Francisco I am somewhat of a snob when it comes to bread. That being said I love this place! The sourdough is perfect, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside just like it's supposed to! The sandwiches are huge and yummy and the breakfast bagels are divine. I am happy to live close b/c when I need bread it's easy access...but I just have to hold myself back from getting a sando every day!

  • Emily M.

Avon Bakery & Deli is the go-to place in Avon for fresh bagels, sandwiches, and homemade bread. Being the only sandwich place in Avon (besides Subway), it is always busy...so call your order in ahead of time!

  • Catherine R.

Great breads, get there early though- they'll even slice them for you!

It's such an unfortunate place to be right "behind" Starbucks...being from Long Beach, CA and needing a coffee for the long road trip home, we stopped in at Starbucks for our morning brew and sandwiches. As I hopped back into my husband's truck, I noticed in the corner of my eye this place...inside my head i uttered, "SH**!". Could this be that place I missed this whole week while staying at the Westin across the street eating at Finnegan's (yuck!) and getting room service from the hotel? Argh. One bite of their probably day-old bread on the counter, I was hooked and ordered the chicken salad sandwich (the best I've EVER tasted), roast beef sandwich for my hubby, everything bagel, snicker bagel (yummmy with butter!!!), chicolate chip cookies (good but too crunchy), macaroni salad (the best I've ever had!), and a small tub of fruit. The kiddos and my husband agreed with me - thee best chicken salad sandwich and macaroni salad! Bagels were amazing! I just wish I had known about this place earlier in the week! Do yourself a favor and stop by for their food! Fast service too!

If I could eat breakfast here every day with out gaining weight, I would do it in a heartbeat. Bagels and fresh, homemade cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches with thich cut bacon... but heck with breakfast, how 'bout lunch? Do me a favor and order the turkey club on freshly baked ciabatta... Grab a paper, an iced coffee at Starbeys, and sit outside and soak in the warm mountain sun.

We absolutely loved this place! We stumbled upon it on the first day of our vacation in Avon and we ended up eating there every day of our trip, which was 6 times! My husband loved the pastrami sandwich and my favorite was the cheesesteak. They bake their own bread which is so good. The Sammies are super filling and the meat falls out of the bread. The melted cheese, onions and peppers on the cheesesteak are an incredible combo. We also loved their veggie Swiss bagel with cream cheese. Delish and they were super generous with the cream cheese! We even had their magic bars for dessert and they were also incredible. This place is a must stop in Avon! We'll definitely be back during ski season!

Hello $10 that's much smaller than Jimmy John's and far less tasty! We paid $32 for a fountain drink, water, small pasta salad, a bag of chips and 2 sandwiches. The dine in area is very small and claustrophobic and we had to bus our own table. There was no sauerkraut on the Reuben, but instead they subbed coleslaw. My husband, who complains about NOTHING, didn't really care for his small, expensive sandwich and I threw half of my tuna away. It had next to no flavor. Also, the girl who took my order was a bit curt. For $32 for lunch, perhaps you could be at least a little friendly? I'd skip this place if I were you.

  • Jerad L.

We stopped in here for sandwiches and soup because of all the great reviews. Overall, this place is okay and gets the job done. Roast beef was mediocre and the corn chowder was sub par. Wouldn't go back but maybe we just picked bad items.

  • Sean K.

We sat down to eat and there was a dead mouse under our table. We understandably lost our appetite. That was not the worst part. Some big doofus came to clean it up and proceeded to yell at us for making a big deal out of it. "We are in Colorado, we have critters here." I have lived in Colorado all of my life and have never found a dead mouse under my table or been yelled at so rudely in a "restaurant." How about some customer service and a simple, "So Sorry, Let me clean that up for you." Never going back.

This place is amazing! I don't think i've been in a bakery better than this! It's seriously in a touristy area, with awesome prices and it's organic/healthy/gluten free why would you not come here!!!!? We came here twice on our vacation and it would have been three times but they were closed Thanksgiving day which is totally acceptable. They even left loaves of bread outside for people to take home because they were closed. I tried an almond chocolate chip scone and the garlic parmesan bagel with cream cheese... let me say this is the greatest bagel i've ever eaten and I wish I could have taken 20 home with me! Brandon had the same and he loved it equally as much!! Totally worth stopping by to check it out! Awesome place!

    (5)
  • Lauren S.

This place was awesome! Obviously a locals favorite since the line was out the door, but the service was quick and the food was delicious. Definitely try the Bacon Horseradish cream cheese and if you're gluten free their bread is the bomb!

  • Andrew M.

This place is fantastic. Food is fresh, they're willing to customize the menu, if they get something wrong, they apologize and make it right. Great restaurant, great business, great choice in Avon.

Great sandwiches!!! The bread alone is worth the visit. Perfectly tasting sourdough bread!!

  • Christopher B.

This is a very good spot to pop into for breakfast before skiing. I had the breakfast sandwich on a poppyseed bagel (versus the default: ciabatta). The bagel itself was extremely good but the whole deal was right on and just the perfect size for the slopes. The service was quick so we were able to get in and out of there in less than 20 minutes!

    (4)
  • Jo E.

Stopped in for a sweet. Didn't have donuts but had a delicious cinnamon roll with pecans.

    (5)
  • Jerry Q.

Great food and fast service. My son and I ordered Grandma's meatball sandwich and the Chicken Caesar Salad wrap. Yummy.

    (4)
  • Justin H.

Very rude and I waited over 30 minutes for breakfast sandwich. And on top of that very unapologetic

    (1)
  • Kate O.

Loved they had a check in offer AND I asked if I could get a wrap instead of the Ciabatta, no problem!!!! Chicken salad w/o sprouts sooo good on a sun dried tomato and garlic wrap = perfect!

  • Bobbi L.

I love their breakfast sandwiches. We stop by every time we are in town visiting family.

Great bakery. Had the chocolate croissant and a cup of coffee. The croissant was so flakey and puffed up. Delicious and reasonably priced.

  • Chelan D.

We are waiting for to go orders and the loud acid rock music is unbearable. Complained to 2 staff girls and they both agreed they can't stand it either but owner won't change it. So outside waiting and still loud. Feel sorry for customers trying to have a relaxing peaceful brunch!! Won't be back except to run in and out to avoid loosing our hearing.

  • Brandon C.

Bread is fresh, ingredients are fresh, and the oogavé fountain drinks are great. Just stopped by for a quick bite after a morning of tennis nearby, and this place really hit the spot. Every Tuesday is 2 for 1 day, where you can purchase any two loaves of their artisan bread for the price of one, so I'll definitely be making a stop here next Tuesday.

    (5)
  • Brandon M.

Good food and good service. Great for lunch. The food quiliality is top notch, great meats, they bake their own bread right on the back. Fresh veggies etc make this place great place to eat. Clean and fast service, sometimes this place has a line out of the door. Found it better to eat before noon or after 1pm to avoid the lines. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price. Eating here is a $10.00 meal without a drink.

    (4)
  • Mike P.

Best fresh baked bread and goodies anywhere. Soups and sandwiches are unique and exceptional.

    (5)
  • Marisa L.

The food is always good here. And consistent. Even with To-Go orders. We frequently buy our staff lunch and it's always just what you want. The menus is great, not to long but something for everyone. If you go in person it's always busy and worth the wait. My favorite is the spicy chicken wrap and the "two for Tuesday" bread deal! A definite must if your in the area.

    (5)
  • Kevin D.

Excellent! We stopped in for lunch... when we saw the line out the door (all locals) we knew it was a good pick. There are a few tables and a counter inside for seating, and a couple tables outside on the sidewalk. We tried a salad, sandwich and tomato basil soup. All excellent. They serve breakfast sandwiches all day, as other reviewers have mentioned. What others have not mentioned is that they also have hot food - cheesesteak, meatballs, paninis, etc. Of course the baked goods looked amazing. Very friendly service, reasonable prices. Great local find.

    (5)
  • Lindsay P.

Bagels were decent. Orange juice was delicious. The service was awful. Rude and uninterested plus it took a long time for our bagel sandwiches to be ready.

    (3)
  • Geoff T.

Excellent sandwiches, bagels and more. best place in Avon for food anytime. Close to the Westin, and beaver Creek resort.

    (4)
  • Jason C.

It was busy when we got there. We ordered a jalepeno and cheddar bagel but they were out. Settled for a wheat bagel and breakfast burrito. Service was super slow. Even though I wasn't in a hurry it did get irritating that it takes that long to toast a bagel and roll a burrito. The bagel was served toasted but cold. The burrito was ok - just ok. They have nice selection of bread and pastries.

    (3)
  • Troy C.

Maybe an off day but the baguette had no flavor, leaving my sandwich quite lacking, esp for a bakery cafe. Also out of most fountain beverages, with only some odd tea choices

    (1)
  • Suzanne C.

The customer service in this establishment was extremely horrible. They were very rude. customer service is not their priority when asking for something they were acting annoyed. the establishment was very crowded which was stressful in itself for the customers. When returning their plate to them, they promptly told me where I needed to put the plate. I told them they can keep the plate that their customer service is terrible when you're running a business you do not treat your customers in this fashion. The food was good however I can get that food anywhere else and be treated certainly in a better manner! I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody!!

  • VailLocal C.

Avon Bakery has a normal selection of bagels, breakfast offerings, soup, and sandwiches. It's in a convenient location and has adequate parking. Unfortunately, their food is just average and the service is sub, sub, sub-par.

    (2)
  • Linds H.

Best Breakfast! Bacon, egg & cheese on a specialty bagel. Sooo Yummy! Best place in town for breakfast, and they have really delicious sandwiches! and a great variety of food.

    (5)
  • Lucas P.

Horrible service, it's quasi self seve. Rude as anyone can be. However, get over the yelling and rude service and order to go or take out or even eat in. This place bakes their own bread daily and the meats are top quality. Sandwiches are large, so you may want to share unless you just hiked Beaver Lake trail like me. Teas are super awesome and locally brewed.

This place is evil .... ( in a good way ) We thought we were just stopping in for a quick bite before snowboarding ... Boy ... we were wrong ..... The menu had so many goodies we ended up bringing some back to L.A. .. We ordered the : 1. Sausage and peppers sandwich - Yum !!!! cant go wrong with sausage .. and the sandwich had a little kick which i wasn't expecting ... 2. Philly Cheese steak - Every bite my boyfriend took was oozing with cheese 3. Mac n Cheese - was thick :D 4. Pasta Salad - Olivey .. me likey 5. Brownies - soft and HUGE 6. Cookies - ate these at the airport .. might have been a little on the hard side since we bought them 2 days before but good nonetheless 7. Onion & Jalapeno Bagel - I unfortunately didn't have a chance to try these bad boys out but we brought these back to L.A. with us. Everytime I took a step an aroma would escape from my doggie bag.. i feel bad for the lady sitting next to me on the plane. Had the food a couple days ago and cant believe I'm feening for the sandwich .. damn it ... why are they in Colorado when i live in California .. -_-

A great local spot for breakfast and lunch. Great sandwiches on homemade bread that is hard to beat. A must when your in town

    (5)
  • Alex M.

Great little cafe and bakery. I had the spicy chicken wrap and a chocolate cake pop and both were quite good. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Not sure how the rest of the food is, but mine was great!

    (5)
  • Melyanna S.

The baked goods are top-notch. Bagels and breads are fresh and the chocolate croissant is legit. I've had a good half of the menu here, between breakfasts and lunches over the last 5 years, and have not been disappointed in a single thing. My wife got the challa french toast last time we went, and it was sooo freaking good I almost teared up for never trying it prior to that. The breakfast burrito is outstanding, and the hot sandwiches are all excellent. I suspect this is due to size constraints, but the food is slow coming out of that little kitchen. It is generally worth the wait, but if you are in a hurry, call ahead or visit during slower times. Wait times in other reviews are not exaggerated!

    (4)
  • Rich H.

Made a special trip here because their website advertised a decent selection of gluten free muffins, breads. They had NOTHING. I asked why they touted gluten free on their web and the server said "there have been many complaints but the owner won't change the website." Also service was terribly slow despite the place being nearly empty. This is a place to avoid.

It was before hitting the slopes when we stopped by. This place is next To Starbucks. They have a buy one get one bread( bagels)deal all day everyday! Sandwiches not included! :) We tried their fresh bagels. Hmmm....they have all flavors. Love the garlic ones. We also had a half sandwich with their soup. A few booths, tables and a short counter in the front caters to the patrons that wants to eat in. Efficient staff and warm place. Walking distance to the Westin :) to top it all- this place is 100% organic!

    (5)
  • J.D. H.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised. Forget Starbucks-- go here for your coffee and baked goods. We had the breakfast burrito and bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.

  • Jamie E.

It's good ... But every time I've been it's an impossibly long wait. Would be okay if there was a place to sit/stand.

    (1)
  • Becca S.

The breakfast burrito is the bomb. I may have had it two days in a row... Okay yeah, I had it twice in a row. Their iced tea also gets me going.

  • becky r.

Great pastries and sandwiches. Don't let the strip mall facade fool you, they're baking up delicious items in there. I enjoyed their bran muffin for breakfast one day and their grilled veggie sandwich for lunch. Their fresh breads also looked legit!

  • Dave R.

I haven't had a breakfast sandwich this good in 2012- yet My initial impression was the place was a clean small deli and when I saw the Croussants, I had to have my sandwich on one. it was pressed in a Panini format and it was a bacon lovers sandwich. It did take a little longer than anticipated, but that gave me a moment to enjoy my coffee. I need to get back and try a deli sandwich next.

    (4)
  • Danielle G.

Yum! My sandwich was amazing. Will be back to try some of the bakery stuff next time. This will definitely be a stop every time I pass through the mountains.

    (5)
  • Mark E.

Great local bakery that offers breakfast bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos, pastries, etc. The store is on the way if you are skiing at Beaver Creek. Look for the Burger King or Starbucks because its in the same shopping area. The lines can get long on the weekends and seating is limited.

    (4)
  • Anthony F.

Usually a great experience but the last few visits, and most recently today have been inconsistent.

    (2)
  • Jeremy E.

The food may be good but the staff is RUDE! Called to ask a simple question and the girl I spoke with was curt, short and did not want to take the time to answer my question. I'd rather eat a reasonably good sandwich at a restraurant with GOOD cutomer service than eat here.

    (1)
  • Beau R.

The food is nothing short of outstanding. However, I have had way too many experiences with TERRIBLE customer service at Avon Deli. When I say terrible, I mean you can find better customer service at McDonald's (no exaggeration). I'm not even the type of person to give someone a hard time. I might even be one of the most patient people you could meet. At first, I thought the original person I dealt with was having a bad day. Nope! Everyone I have EVER encountered has had a sour and irritable demeanor. It's like the episode of Seinfeld with the Soup Nazi (except all the staff are Soup Nazis). The food somewhat makes up for it, but that place always puts me in a bad mood when I walk out those doors. One time, my girlfriend came home crying because the guy at the counter yelled at her. That is entirely unacceptable. I don't care how busy you are or how stressful your F&B job is...YOU DON'T YELL AT CUSTOMERS! I might eat there more than once every few months if they cleaned house and hired new staff. If I was the owner, I think I would start with management and see if that changes anything. I refuse to step foot in that place ever again until some changes are made. If I do get food from there, it will only be if a friend or coworker is picking up.

  • Rebecca J.

What it boils down to is that they have a nice staff & they are really nice! I admit, they have messed up a few times over the years with my sandwiches but this place is hopping! It is bound to happen. I went one morning, they couldn't find my order. I was really frustrated! I was leaving when one of the ladies who has worked there forever ran out to my car with a breakfast sandwich. It was the one that I ordered. She said " the person that took the order must have really butchered your name, we couldn't find it under your name. When I saw it was you, I knew we had it! I know what you order! You get the same thing every time! " Needless to say, I was in my car & she wouldn't accept any $-she apologized again & sent me on my way.

Great croissant breakfast sandwich! Crunchy and flaky on the edges and soft where is counts!

    (5)
  • Chris W.

The Avon Bakery & Deli is an excellent choice for lunch - assuming you have a little bit of time on your hands. Friendly staff offering free bread samples, two-for-one loaf specials, thick sandwiches and huge brownies, blondies and magic bars all contribute to a sense of bounty and generosity. The ingredients are top-of-the-line, fresh bread is a huge selling point - but Avon Bakery & Deli is famously slow. Even so, a reputation for super slowness would normally land even the best lunch stops in the realm of two stars (see Larkburger), but the service and quality at Avon Bakery bring it back up to 3 stars. PRO TIP - Bring a book.

    (3)
  • Steve S.

Really good bagels and schmear. An excellent spot for a quick breakfast. Tip: avoid the parfait. They make it with greek yogurt. To be clear, it tasted fine, it just was too thick for me.

    (4)
  • Marilyn C.

Great place to stop by for a quick breakfast before hitting the mountain. The serve yourself coffee was good. I had an egg sandwich with peppers that was really good and then I tried some of a plain egg and cheese and had a bite of an egg and cheese with bacon -- all were delicious. You can wait and take your goodies to go or sit down and eat there. The place was hopping on a Sunday morning, but the wait wasn't long. They had loaves of bread that I would have loved to take home and devour, but I had dinner plans.

    (5)
  • Jared J.

The roast beef sub was really good but gave me gas for like 6 hours. Shit.

    (3)
  • Kendall M.

This place looked really cute, and was busy in Labor Day. We heard they made delicious gluten free bread, which is why we went there, but they didn't. Wish they would as their other bread looked delicious!

  • Maria P.

Went to Avon Bakery & Deli on the recommendation of a friend as well as after smelling their delicious breads baking at 7 am! Oh my goodness, what a treat. The bagels are great and their are many spreads to choose from. I have also had a sandwich from here and it was delicious. I would love to buy one of everything from here. I can't wait to get some fresh breads and pastries from here on my next visit. I love this local spot, it has become my go to for quick breakfast goodies and easy lunches.

    (5)
  • Reed N.

An end of the day visit will get you a second or third choice loaf. Go early if you are selective. We got our third choice... a whole wheat Miche. It was a heavier Sourdough base than the standard baguette, but we loved it toasted and with equally tart things.... like tarter sauce and a fish fillet. NOW we are talking! lol Sandwiches may be different and available all the time... not sure. The breads are organic and delicious. You may get a whiff of unwanted cinnamon if your boule was baked next to a seasoned loaf.

  • Calla P.

Love this little place. Every time I'm near Avon I'll get off the exit for this place. They are usually open till 6 pm. So post hike, or cross country skiing it's a great reward. My favorite is their vegetarian sandwich - ask for it warm instead of cold and maybe on foccacia if you dare. Any type of bread you order there is amazing. They also have great oogave sodas on tap and other little pick me ups around the bakery - like fresh apple juice. I never feel guilty after leaving here. Another great thing is it never feels too crowded - a little gem in Avon/Beaver Creek area.

  • Steven S.

I walked up to the door at 5:59pm (closes at 6pm, yes) but I was turned away. I was diving through vail and really wanted try this place. So this is just my "I'm disappointed they wouldn't make an exception rating. At my own business I'd have kept the door open and served a late customer. Meh.... I came back here a week later and the food was disappointing. BUT the manager was very pleasing and helpful. Considering both weeks, I give a B+ for service and C for food. Usually yelp is more accurate, i guess just not my type of place.

One of the best bakery's I've ever been to. Great breakfast burrito and sandwiches as well.

    (5)
  • Patrick D.

28 minutes for a salad and half of a cold sandwich. Didn't even have time to eat it bc I used up my break waiting. Not cool. Two stars bc guy working there was apologetic. Now to wait 3 hours to eat.

Love the baked goods & sandwiches, but don't go when they're busy. Will take a while.

    (4)
  • Andy G.

Had a great breakfast there on 6/2/12. Bagels almost as good as Moe's. Polite counter staff, and the success of their commercial business was apparent.

    (4)

It's busy, but those were some great bagels.

  • Nick F.

Good homemade bagels! Great topping selection and other sandwichy items too. Cool spot!

Best bagel shop! The bagel sandwiches beat Einstein's Bros in taste and price! Too bad its only in Avon. All the bagels are freshly made therr. I miss this place.

    (5)
  • Mike B.

This is my go to place in Avon for lunch. Everything is always very fresh and tastes great. They even have bottles of Coke from Mexico with real sugar!

  • Dean Z.

Like their food, sandwiches, and bagels but its always slow as a week in jail to get food there.

    (3)

Simply amazing. Well worth a long drive. Incredible breakfast sandwiches. Just prepare for a wait but it's so worth it.

  • Casey H.

We stopped here on the way to Boulder. We got there around 11 and just in time to miss a big lunch crowd that walked in right after us. Man this place gets busy! Smoked Salmon Bagel....yum!

    (4)
  • Kevin O.

We got three sandwiches, they took about 20 minutes to arrive, all three were sub par. BLT has burnt bacon and not enough of it. Turkey bacon avo with cheddar was just bland some how. Chicken salad was real bad. I'd give this place a 1-star but for some reason I'm feeling generous.

    (2)
  • Chris M.

Staying nearby and decided to give it a shot. I am glad I did! The chocolate croissant was excellent. Others seemed to like the French toast and bagel. In fact, everything we bought from this place over the course of our vacation was awesome. It was much cheaper than buying breakfast at the resort, and it was within walking distance. The coffee was just OK. A little weak for my tastes, but there was a Starbucks almost next door. My advice? Get your coffee from Starbucks and buy your breakfast here. Support an independent local business that just so happens to have some fabulous baked goods.

  • T T.

Look and find what you want online (great website and specials are up to date) because the cashiers are clueless (I had to ask her to go ask what the soups and specials were) and the line goes fast. Besides that, I got the cold special for $7.99 (all sandwiches seemed to be $7.99). The food was good, filling, but nothing that spectacular for what some of the reviews let me believe. Maybe their hot sandwiches are better. I would try somewhere else next time in town.

My favorite place in Avon. Great sandwiches for lunch. The absolute best is the Flank Steak sandwich. Also really good breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Plus you can buy some bread to take with you, the baguettes are amazing.

The food was good, but a little bland. I ordered the breakfast burrito - there was maybe 1 egg scrambled up, about a pound of potato and a hint of chorizo. I don't even recall any salsa or pico de gallo. Wife had a bagel and it was smothered in cream cheese. She scrapped off about half a cup and there was still plenty.

Tucked into a little strip mall, this place was a BIG surprise! I love places that take "good food fast" seriously. The portions were large and the amount of meat was very generous. One nic in the service was that they said they were "out" of the bread I requested - although there was a whole loaf of it on their shelf. They told me it was for sale as a whole loaf and that they wouldn't cut it for my sandwich... Okay... I'll remember that.

This place is awesome. The best chocolate croissant I've ever had. Perfect amount of chocolate. In fact. There was chocolate in every bite. My daughter loved there everything bagel.

Local spot at its best. there is a reason why the parking lot is always full and a line out the door. Delicious and excellent food, get the breakfast burrito for a hardy meal before riding.!!!!!!!

YES! GO THERE! We were there on a busy Sunday morning but got to the counter and got our food in a reasonable amount of time. The roll my egg sandwich came on was for sure the best I'd ever had. The bread outshines anything else in the meal. This is more of a savory bakery, i.e. rolls, bagels, loaves of bread, etc. A few pastries/cinnamon buns but I didn't get to try them. They did have some cupcakes available, which we got one to celebrate my daughter's 18 months bday, but they are a whopping $3 each. Not worth the price, in my opinion. I'd definitely be back.

Woohoo! I love this place! Fresh Artisan Breads, awesome bagels, pastries and coffee all in one tiny little deli next to * bucks. I've only tried the breakfast bagel sandwich but judging from how good that was....they use real egg!! Go figure.. My friends tried the chocolate croissant. I was able to sneak in a bite. Perfecto... I'd suggest picking up a loaf of one of their breads to go. Their sourdough baguette made a perfect platter for some crostini's.

Always a long line, and really overpriced for food that is less than great. I've only had their sandwiches though, so I can't write about the breakfast selection, which I hear is pretty good.

Let me just say that I've only been in here once, and it was a long time ago. My parents stops by when he's working to get bagels at least once a week. He comes home with these things, and they are simply amazing! My favorite is the veggie swiss bagel! They are so fresh, and tasty. This changed us to not being able to eat bagels from a factory. I hope to come in more, but we will continue to buy your amazing bagels!

Really good breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The coffee is a little hit or miss, but definitely the best option in Avon for a quick meal!

Had the hot spicy chicken wrap which hit the spot. My dad ordered the bratwurst and loved it. Good place to grab a quick bite to eat.

This place was great! I had a chocolate croissant, an egg and cheese sandwich, a fruit bowl, and some coffee. No I didn't eat it all! I shared some with my hubby and Ms. P. We ate there. They have some tables in the back and a high chair handy. The chocolate croissant was flaky with melted chocolate in the center and chocolate and icing drizzled on the top. It was what I was craving and that moment, I even got one for the road. So yummy. The sandwich was great. The bread had been toasted and the cheese was melted just right. The fruit...there is always at least one piece a fruit in a fruit bowl that is just a little off...except in the one I had here. Every piece was delicious and perfect. Even the cantaloupe and honeydew melon were ripe enough to give Ms. P. Coffee-no need to go to Starbucks next door. This coffee is delish. I tried the medium roast and refilled to go. Loved it. Only issue is we ended up spending over $20 on breakfast. Ah well, that's vacation for you! PS. My brother-in-law bought a blonde brownie from here for dessert one night. It was more cake/bread like than I like my brownies, but still very good.

Avon Bakery/Deli has been a go-to spot for a long time in my book. The sandwiches are pretty average, but the bread is the AMAZING. While they continuously serve up great sandwiches and wraps, their horrible service steers me away almost 100% of the time. If they say 20 minutes on the phone, closer to 30-35 every time. Waited there for over 45 minutes the other morning for 2 basic breakfast sandwiches. Another frustration is that you have to pay extra for the bagel that comes on the breakfast sandwich, feel like they are pulling a fast one every time. I'd suggest Northside Cafe over ABD any day.

Hard to find a decent place in avon to find a good sandwich at but this place is an exception. Ive had the greek salad with chic, salmon breakfast sandy and marinated chicken sandwich and they were all delicious. Staff are very friendly and it has a great local atmosphere. Highly Recommended.

What a find! Before you hit the slopes at Beaver Creek, I'd 100% recommend stopping here for a quick breakfast. They have breakfast burritos for $6-7 and breakfast sandwiches for $5.29 on either a fresh bagel or roll. You could also feast on a variety of other delicious looking baked goods and pastries. I had a bacon (tons of very crispy bacon!), egg (real fried egg, not the carton stuff) and melted cheese sandwich on an everything bagel and the bagel was absolutely amazing! It was soft and puffy, not hard and crusty, yet it was still perfectly toasted with the outside a little bit crunchy. I think it was the best bagel I've ever had. I ate mine way faster than my husband and our other guy friend. He couldn't even finish his breakfast burrito (rough night, ha!) so they gave him some foil to wrap it up for later. There wasn't a long line or wait and there are a few tables to sit at and eat inside without feeling too cramped. Pretty good coffee too. I'm going to make this place a habit as I use up my remaining Beaver Creek days this season. I can only imagine what a turkey sandwich would taste like on one of those yummy, light-as-air bagels. P.S. thanks for sending me on my way out with some morning Michael Franti :)
