Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

3 hours from check in till we left man cold food could not get drink refills hell no paper towels In the bathroom. If I had the money to open a place with good food and great service I would.

I am a multiple tour World Beer Tour card holder. I love Old C's beers. I go to many Old C's, and this is a good one. I used to avoid this place after it first opened and traveled to Parker and Arapahoe because of the service. Since this place has matured, it has significantly improved. It is one of the better Old C's out there. A note on the food. CraftWorks owns Rock Bottom now (who owns Old Chicago) and goes through menu changes pretty often, I think they are trying to tweek to find the best mix of food and profitability. Right now, this is the third major change and it sucks for some of the food. I expect it to change for the better again soon. Bar area: selection is great, especially if you like beer. Name your style and there is something to please you. Service is good in this area too. They treat both the regulars and occasionals the same way, good. The staff here is very consistent. They have been professionals both in the industry and this location long enough. There are plenty of TVs and if you ask, they are always willing to change it to your favorite sports channel. Heck, I got them to put curling up. Dining area: small for Old Chicago, but this rarely is an issue at Southlands. Service up front with the host/hostess depends on how experienced they are, but that applies to just about everywhere. Service in the dining room is generally very efficient. My kids enjoy the attention they get. Staff is one of three groups: worked in the food industry for a week and only will last another week (smallest group), the normal experienced staff with service only depending on how busy they are (the biggest group), and finally the people who excel no matter how busy it gets. I can think of at least three at this location. Drinks: the main reason you go here. Beer selection. Awesome. Even if you don't drink, the non-soda selection is good. Food: this version, meh. Thin crust is okay, sauce can be better, I have a feeling they will revert back to the style from a couple months ago. Sandwiches are good, the calzones and appetizers are both really good. Thank goodness they haven't messed up the Pepperoni Rolls. Management: If you have an issue and bring it up to them, I have always seen them rectify the problem.

This Old Chicago is located at Town Square in Southlands Mall. It's a much smaller restaurant than most, but it's just on the corner across from the movie theater. Great place to grab a bite to eat before a movie. I'm a fan of the California Chicken Sandwich and fries myself.
(3)Preet K.
Love the staff-- only reason I go back. That and beer, I think they might have some beer.
(5)F U.
I like old Chicago.. I started off with calamari , it was very tasty and really crunchy. Waitress Michelle kinda snoty and cranky.. the place is dead inside.. 26 minutes for a chicken salad and a pasta dish I count 8 people seated. The cooks are on point salad is delicious. Wife got the bacon jalapeno pasta says it's awesome but really spicy. The kitchen staff definitely would keep me coming back but not the front of the house staff..

Busy tonight, food and drink was later than expected. Decaf coffee was weak. Ciabatta with the artichoke dip was rock hard. Medium cooked craft burger, came out mooing. Chicken wings stopped by the salt lick on its way to the table. Beer is hard to mess up, so that was okay. Manager was attentive and put a rush on the fix. Better times in the past and expected in the future of a 4 world beer tour member...
(2)Cory C.
Food is generally avg or good. Calzones are good sized and tasty. Service is usually just ok. Plenty of beer options.
(3)Brad n.
Local hang out for our family. Great beer, love the food options, and awesome service. A must stop if in the area.
(5)Irene P.
Pretty standard old c's. Food is good, never had an issue here with ordering, time, any questions. we usually sit in the bar area, service is quick and actually pretty attentive for having to care for the mass of customers. This location does get full pretty quick though at peak times.
(4)Trent J.
The only problem I had was we waited 15 minutes at the front of the restaurant waiting to be seated while the guy who seats us was gone off somewhere for the whole time and when he showed up he was disrespectful and didn't acknowledge us so a very kind waitress sat us and the other guy was continuing to be disrespectful
(2)Steve R.
Service seems to be hit or miss here. We have had great service and been ignored. It does not seem consistent. Food is okay. Always hot. Gluten free options. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Overall a solid A-OK.
(3)Alan L.
Came in with my wife for a drink and an app tonight. Got the app sampler. Pepperoni roles were good and the Italian nachos were killer. During my time there they refilled my soda. When the check came came they charged me for two sodas. The waitress didn't ask if she could refill my drink, she just took it and gave me more. Who doesn't have free refills on soda? Not a huge deal to some, but because of that I will not be returning.

Had a really good time for lunch this go around, food is always pretty consistent for us, what makes it memorable or miserable is the service. We had Lauren (sp) this time in the bar area. She was great, a bit humorous, a little sarcastic, and kept a good eye on us. I had wings, my wife had a wrap, both came out great. The summer beer tour was going on so I had a few of those, hopefully I remember to finish it (notorious for starting those mini's and stopping at like 4). Had our 3 month old with us and it was fine. Had to leave the stroller by the door but not a big deal for us. Service to me was the highlight, i know what I'm getting with their food usually so I'll go back, and sit in her section, if afforded the opportunity..

Old Chicago is at the mall super close to me and is usually always busy with concerts on Thursday and people just wanting an easy place to eat . My friends and I went to dinner last night only a 20 minute wait. Got a booth as we ask for ! The server was very friendly and nice to us . For the matter all the staff was friendly and greeted you and thanked you ! However we did order our food the 4 of us and it took over 30 minutes to bring it to us .. The table by us was there before us and revived their meal 10 before ours .. Food was good and prepared correctly ! Just not many options for people like me with dairy and gluten allergies . However If you love pizza and calzones it's defiantly a place for you !
(3)Stephen S.
Service sucks. This is a beer joint and I've been waiting 45 minutes to get one? Friday night was apparently not a good choice. Drinks finally arrived and server is just about throwing them at the table. Maybe she's pissed because I had the temerity to complain to the staff about it taking 45 minutes to get a beer. If they're too busy I wish they'd just send us away. No verdict on the food but if it's as fast as the beer, I'll let you know how it is some time next week.

This location is newer and seems a bit updated, which is nice. The food is usually pretty good...unless you have any kind of special diet needs and, God forbid, must ask a server about ingredients. We've experienced employees' absolute lack of knowledge about their products both in the restaurant and over the phone. The part that is truly disappointing is that they cannot be bothered to find out specific ingredient information. People, you serve food. If a customer has an allergy that could cause serious reactions, it's important to have definitive ingredient information. It's not acceptable to have multiple servers claim different ingredients or simply tell you they don't know what's in something they serve. Unfortunately, we will not be spending time or money here anymore.
(2)Jim S.
Descent food - good service - great location! However....I went here on a Sunday to watch a Chicago Bears game - and they had the **Green Bay Packers** game on the main screen in the bar area (Bears game on in the corner). I thought this was a "Chicago" bar....and just moving here from Chicago, I thought there would be more......Chicago here. But - don't get me wrong, a descent restaurant/sports hangout in general.
(3)Randall S.
Planned to eat here after watching a movie across the street and arrived at 6:40pm. They were busy and had a wait and we were given a buzzer and told "20 minutes". We were fine with that...until 30 minutes went by and we noticed 4-5 groups that came in AFTER us being seated. Upon asking the, what appeared to be 13 year old hostess, why everyone but us was being seated she turned around to check something as a Shift Manager walked up and asked what we needed. I explained the situation to him again and he asked his hostess to which she finally asked my name. I gave it to her and after searching through 3 sheets of names, stated it wasn't on any of them and told her supervisor "I didn't give him the pager". Well, SOMEBODY obviously did because I had it and had been sitting right in front of her for 20 minutes(the first 10 minutes we waited outside as the entry was crowded). The Shift Manager then told us "hold on to this(while handing me the pager back), and you'll be next once a table comes available." REALLY? No apology, nothing? See ya Old Chicago. You just lost our business at this location!!! If allowed, this would be a "0 Star" instance but they skated by with the 1 I was required to give them.
(1)Rob G.
My mother lives across the street from this mall. I came in to visit from San Diego and made two trips to Old Chicago with my brother. Seating at the bar was available both times and both times they manager quickly put on the games we wanted to watch. The food was what you would expect from a chain restaurant. It was OK. Had very friendly bartenders named Katie & Mickey who took good care of us. Overall good experience, Good TV quality and selection. Can't speak for the restaurant side but I'll go back to the bar next time I visit.
(4)Jason J.
Repeated bad service. You can sit down and expect a 10-15 minute wait before you see a server, even at the bar. Order a drink and wait forever for it. My steaks/burgers are consistently undercooked and if you send them back don't expect to get new sides. Last time I had to send a steak back both my sides were freezing cold. Can't get worse here. We'll never go back. I'll hit Wendy's first.
(1)Reese D.
I feel stupid reviewing this place, but THIS LOCATION was a hit with me. We went with friends before a movie and our server was nice and super efficient. We were greeted as we came in and thanked as we left. They had a great special with calzones and desserts for $9.99! They have a great selection of beers on tap. The food was good, the service was good, the prices are good. I almost gave it five stars, but that is reserved for extra special places and I just can't give it up for a chain restaurant.
(4)k S.
Oh it was so bad. The pizza at the "buffet" looked and tasted as though it had been sitting there for hours. The cheese in the cheese bread had hardened outside the bread and the cinnamon puffs were cold. The waiter asked me how my good was and I told him, I didn't even eat it. His response "yeah it's hit or miss" no manager ever to be found. It was sad because I used to really like this place.
(1)Josh T.
As I live 5 miles from Southlands I eat here on a routine basis, I will try to keep this short. The pizza is always pretty decent... is it earth shattering, No, but it is solidly good pizza. Like others have suggested, the service here generally sucks. This isn't a problem that plagues just this Southlands Old Chicago location but all of the restaurants in the Southlands area. I don't know what it is, but it appears that the "servers" working at the majority of these restaurants don't give a f*ck. That is fine... I have no issue eating decent food and leaving no tip and/or bitching about the service and getting comped.... even better. Regardless, it is a convenient location and has decent food. Plan ahead if you are trying to make it to a movie across the street in an hour.
(3)Mora L.
Love this one! Nice servers, managers always greet customers, great pizza... try the chicken mac-n-cheese (OMGOODNESS!)
(4)Chris L.
This place is good they have a bar and also alot of seating. Went there on a Sunday and just seated ourselves which was weird since they are supposed to seat us. All in all its your typical chain restaraunt where you can watch a football game with friends. Will I come back again sure but I wont go out of my way
(3)Shenia I.
I took my daughters there after ice-skating last month. It was okay. The food was good but it was slowwww. The waitress was really slow and they were not really that busy. We did not have to wait to be seated and it was during the day in the afternoon. We had to wait twice for the box and our ticket.
(2)Cass D.
I've been a repeat customer, mostly because of the food and the proximity to my place. Wait staff seems kind of absent minded. Had a few minor mistakes with my order. They disappear... where do they go? Never had to wait very long for a table.
(3)Mora L.
Manager Toby, awesome to his customers. Great service and waitresses simply sweet and funny. Sometimes when you get a new waitress/waiter a bit slow, but the pizza is great. Good wings and the assortments of beer is our favorite. A bit expensive, so we can't go as often an we'd like!
(4)Ran M.
This review is based solely upon my late night happy hour experiences at Old C's. They have great specials on food and drinks after 10pm. I love how I can get a plate of pizza rolls, an order of wings, and 2 drinks for less than $20 including tip! Service has always been good, although sometimes the drinks come out a little slow. The Jamaican Jerk wings are fantastic! Also, it's a bonus that they have the Hefeweisen from Dry Dock (local brewery).
(4)Mellany G.
Service was horrible! It took 1 1/2 hours to get our food and it was wrong! The server kept saying she would be right back with requested items and never came back.
(1)Michelle J.
So the family & I stopped in for a weekend lunch at this old Chicago location for the first time recently. It was much nicer & cleaner than the aurora location. Also, our server was great. The pizza I ordered had too much cheese, but nothing too bad to have ruined my meal. My husband loved his calzone(not sure how it's spelled??). Wish this location was closer to where we live so we can go to it more often!
(5)Jessica J.
It pains me to say, this Old Chicago is officially off our list. I doubt we will ever go back. That is saying a lot being that both my hubby and I are 2 times through the World Beer Tour. The problem? Service. Horrible, terrible, slow, inconsistent, just blah service. They are slow to take drink orders, slow to bring them, slow to get food out, slow to refill drinks, heck we have even waited FOREVER for menus! It has only gotten worse in the 2 years we have been going to this location. They are spared from the 1 star review because I actually like their food, if I am actually ever able to get it!
(2)Allison F.
Came here twice this weekend due to their extensive beer selection and the bf's love for it. Thursday night the first time and enjoyed the end of trivia night. The bar was super busy and we had prompt service. The trivia questions kept us entertained and the multiple tv's showing sports galore made it a lively atmosphere. Tried the Woodchuck cider and found it to be delicious. Super apple-y without the usual extreme amounts of carbonation. Bonus! Plus for a cider and a Guinness, it was only $10. Here in Vancouver, it would have been double that. Second time we came was before going to a movie Sunday afternoon. The bar section was super quiet and so we sat at the bar to take in some more sports. The bartender, Dave, was super friendly and kept us entertained. Had another cider and shared the nachos. They weren't as fabulous as I would have hoped but managed to fill us up. I would recommend avoiding the chicken as it was watery and seemed a little too processed for my liking. The restaurant itself has all kinds of events and contests going on and seems to be pulling in quite the crowd. Is it bad that after going in twice and looking through the menu, I totally missed that they serve pizza??
(3)Joe J.
We sat down to eat at 7:00 p.m. or so on a week night. We figured the place wouldn't be too busy, and it wasn't. It wasn't empty either. It was a decent sized crowd. It took 10 minutes to place drink orders, 15 to get the drinks and place our order. Apparently their computer system was 100% fully down. Ok, fine, I'll give a place a pass when that happens. All of the orders had to be written down. Our food arrived 5 minutes after 8 o'clock. The service was incredibly slow. The food was average to good. There were no glaring missteps or errors. Unfortunately for me, they were out of the beer I wanted. No more on tap. So, I pick a second choice beer. Oh, also out of it. No more on tap. Thanks! I'll have water. This was our 2nd visit to Old Chicago, and it will be our last. There weren't any huge problems, but the Southlands has a number of great eateries, and I'm not going to waste my time or money at Old (and Slow) Chicago.
(2)Matthew M.
Had a great experience today while on a date with my wife. Our server was friendly, fast, and efficient (Jen). The food was terrific. I highly recommend adding cream cheese to your pizza. It's not on their list of toppings, but they have it and its DELICIOUS. Quality every time. We will be back.
(4)Scott S.
Its good pizza, and the atmosphere is a good one. Always busy and noisy, how a pizza joint should be. Tons of beers on tap for whatever you desire.
(4)Sonja A.
What a better way to kill a workout than with a delish calzone! I like the build your own option. Lots of beer to choose from and even the cider pseudo beer is here. Love the bar area so I can enjoy local sports. If your not a fan of the Nuggs or Broncos, take a hike. Lol

In college, Old Chicago was one of our favorite hangouts. It has been a long time since I ate or drank at an Old Chicago. I just got back from a business trip and it was 10pm. In the suburbs, it's difficult to find a restaurant open after 10pm. I didn't want to eat fast food or cook. Old Chicago is the only sit down restaurant in this part of town that is open after 10pm. The kitchen closed at 12:30am. As soon as we walked in, it took us back to our college years. It was an old Chicago in another city but it still had the same feel. It was dark. The aroma of pizza filled the air. The bar was busy with younger folks enjoying their liquor and socialize with strangers hoping to get someone's phone number. There was a happy energy in the bar area. So us old farts sat in the dining area with two other groups. They have a new menu but still make their signature pizzas. The spaghetti pie (new item) looked intriguing. They bake spaghetti pasta with a cheese sauce in a pie pan. The slices are served with a sauce of your choice plus a protein. Tempting but opted for the Jamaican jerk rub wings. I also ordered a Mediterranean salad. We shared a pick 3 appetizer platter with fried pickles, fried snap peas, and meatballs. My husband had the club Stromboli with a Caesar salad. The Mediterranean salad was a fail due to the dressing. In the Mediterranean, they keep their dressings simple. I've seen people in Greece use oil, herbs, salt and pepper +/- vinegar. The fried pickles were cut in 1/4" chips with a thick batter. Love the thick pickle but didn't enjoy the batter. Ketchup is a staple in my world so I didn't use the sauce that came with the pickles. Fried pickles taste good with ketchup or mustard. The fried snap peas were out of this world! They use a rice batter which is light and crispy. They should use that batter for the pickles. They served two sauces: aoili sauce and a lemon cream sauce. The lemon sauce was very unique. I've never tried a sauce like that before. We loved it. I'll be back for their snap peas and lemon sauce... Probably tomorrow because I can't stop thinking about it. The meatballs were filled with cheese and served with a marinara sauce. Tasty and moist. This was my husband's favorite appetizer. The wings were crispy and surprisingly not oily. It was spicy - great jerk rub blend. The Stromboli tasted like a rolled up pizza slice. I ate so much pizza and spaghetti in college that I didn't crave them when choosing a restaurant post college. With more options on their menu and friendly service, I may think of Old Chicago the next time I dine out.

While standing to wait for a table, the hostesses called a lady a bitch because they decided to serperate a family of 6 in two booths back to back. And when they asked for the booth behind them (which sat 6) the hostess rolled her eyes said "fine" in front of the lady then turned around and called her a bitch to the other hostess. Then when there were two other booths open (I requested a booth when I walked in, 25 minutes before) they sat me at at a table. You need new hostess. Giving a bad name for old chicago.
(1)Ryan T.
I can't really rate the service. Opening Sunday for NFL and one should expect a wait time. But I give it a one star for food. We ordered our food and it took over 20 minutes for the food to get to us. My Chicago 7 calzone was a storage for water and oil. Must have been made first and then sat under a heating lamp forever. Cut into it and oil and water poured out leaving the calzone bread all soggy. Didn't eat all of it. Won't be back
(1)Andrew H.
I have been to this OC about two dozen times now and have never had a negative experience here. The servers are attentive and the draft beers always taste clean. The menu is the same as any other OC, and there seems to be pretty good quality control at the corporate level. The only thing that keeps this from being a 5-star review is that it is a chain, and I don't think any chain can bring the 5-star the game.
(4)A G.
Service was weak. No one waited on us for over 20 min. When we were seated the hostess said let me check that is clean, still sat us at a dirty table. Asked for ranch for the pizza, it came out by the time we almost finished. This was because our waitress went and talked with her co-workers instead of getting what we asked for then go bs with other ppl. They cut the pizza differently in criss cross; which s fine but it doesn't say that in the menu and they don't tell you that you have to ask for regular cut. Maybe we're picky, but little bs like that when you're hungry for a place with a good rep and easy order wth?
(1)Phung L.
This location is a lot more new and modern compared to many other Old Chicago I've been to. The food is the same all over the service is okay. I think being a regular at the other location allows you to get preferential treatment. What I like most about this location particularly is that it's much more hip and cooler during night time. Seems like it caters to a much different crowd and you can tell by the music they play here. The downside is that they were out of a lot of beers when I went.
(3)Loli L.
Pizza is good and comes in a variety of thicknesses. The other stuff is palatable too. Fun for the whole family kind of food and multiple televisions visible from every angle in case your child (or significant other) is into motorsports or games with balls. Where these folks win my heart is with their extensive beer selection. I was in the Southlands twice for dinner and both times we found ourselves here because of the beer. (Don't be fooled by the so-called Irish place across the way, they have NOTHING compared to the Old C). The food soaked up our beverages nicely and our servers were charming and attentive.
(4)Steve W.
As much as it pains me to knock a good old classic pizza joint (with excellent beer selection) -This place fell flat on its face. The service was actually decent - however the food was not. Wait... the pizza rolls are 4 stars but the price is way to high. Additionally, the atmosphere is 4 stars but only because I'm a sucker for classic pizza joints. The food was 2 star but the aftermath puts it at a 1 star. The left overs did the same - so I know it was the food. I might go back for pizza rolls and beer after 10pm but other then that - pass. I have to laugh and agree with others comments - This area (Southlands) has some of the laziest workers - they must be bored by lack of things to do as its pretty ghostly on this side of town. I cant stand the, how can I help you? Oh, you really want help... syndrome.
(2)Christine G.
Decidedly meh. Unlike prior reviews, the service was fine. The food, however, was just... okay. The house salad was iceberg lettuce, ONE cherry tomato, TWO slices of cucumber, some shredded carrot, and slivered almonds. They must have splurged on the almonds. We ordered two flat crust pizzas - the Hawaiian and a custom with chicken mushrooms and red pepper. The flat crust pizzas were not the traditional flat crust style - they're actually kinda thick. The cheese they use, I suspect, is on the cheaper side, since it lacked full mozzarella flavor. The chicken wasn't grilled and seemed a bit artificial. The Hawaiian pizza, though, was relatively tasty and had a bit of zing. For these prices, I suspect I can get better pizza elsewhere.
(2)Russ S.
My favorite Old C's. Staff is great here. Perfect place to come watch the game and have a cold beer.
(5)Sarah M.
I am not pleased with this location... I know this is a chain but sometimes you want to grab a bite before a movie and chains are everywhere... well yeah you know. Been here 6 times over the last 3 years and four times recently. Bar seating is the way to go when there is a wait for sure and there is usually a booth in the corner or a few spots at the bar which is nice when you have no desire to wait. We wanted a pitcher of hard cider which they were happy to oblige! But the nachos... which i love here... were terrible. All peppers and i would say total about 2 ounces of sausage and pepperoni combined. Pathetic for a 10 dollar plate. Another visit... salad came out with the blue cheese I requested... it had what I would call "old around the rim" dressing on top of the dressing contanier... and it was gross. I do not know how that left the kitchen but it did. Took a while to ge the replacement dressing because apparantly 2 people were needed to actually retrive it. The pizza we ordered to share was good if it was actually cooked all the way :( it tasted fantastic at home! By the time our waitress asked about the meal ... we didn't even want it "thrown back in". We just wanted to go. You cant mess up beer too badly but they did that too... very very very flat. :( disappointing when all I wanted was one decent beer with my pizza. Ill probably not be visiting this location ever again unless someone take me and I will bite my lip and go...
(2)Kevin L.
Even on a busy Saturday night, my friends and I were able to find a seat in the bar area right as we got in. Service was fast and really good. Beer selection was great. We got our food quick and whatnot. No complaints whatsoever. There's about three Old Chicago's around where I live, but I'll definitely find my way back to this location.
