Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Very greesy. Dirty tables. A little overprices and there is no type of ambiance. Would not recommend. I'm not from around here to say what places are better in this area but I suggest you drive a little further and find something a little more tasty, oh yeah, it lacked a distinct flavor, I guess its good for people who've been drinking and want to stuff their faces after a night out, but I'm not the type to settle for an unsatisfying slice of pie.

I must have caught them on a bad night, twice. First time I ordered a veggie pizza, garlic bread and cannoli. Pizza was soggy and undercooked and they forgot the cannoli. Not too big a deal, Im used to soggy undercooked pizza since moving here and everyone can forget from time to time. The second time: I waited 2 hours for the delivery, I called and was told it was on its way. Given it was snowing thought that was reasonable. Hour 3 comes and goes, still nothing. I call to see if possibly I missed the doorbell or what, the person that answers the phone says hold on. Then a guy gets on the phone stating, "what's the problem?" (seriously?) I told him and he said my card was declined and they were trying to reach me. I then asked then why an hour ago did someone tell me it is on the way? Furthermore, my bank show that the transaction went through. I then asked who I was speaking with and he refused to tell me, just the manager is not here he is on deliveries. I was left with no option but to go up there and try and get my money back. While there I finally spoke with one guy that had somewhat of a clue about customer service and got my my money back. I am a very patient person as I had worked in the restaurant business and know it is a tough job, but seriously? Since it was snowing I was planning on tipping very well for this service, I ended up time a drive through guy instead. I hope these two occasion were just some fluke but I will not be going back.

Very good pizza!! And nice staff... I bought a large slice, salad (with a lot of toppings) and a drink for $6.85+tax. I will be back!!!
(5)April S.
There is a reason these guys are always busy. They feature consistently good food and service. I also notice that they have very little staff turnover, which generally means they provide a decent workplace. I love the flat, foldy pizza and this place gets it right every time!
(5)Jason O.
They do one thing, and they do it well: Fantastic pizza. A little expensive for a pizza delivery place, but not too bad. Besides, you'll never want domino's again after you try this place.
(5)F U.
I love anthonys. You won't be disappointed. Same pizza every time never a bad pie! The crust is the iceing on this pizza masterpieces cake! Word of caution if you plan on eating at 6pm order @ 4pm for delivery. My wife love the cheese ravioli. The ravioli is the size of a child's hand lol. My 5 year old lives on the leftover pizza the next day. Just order it.
(5)Taiwan M.
I was teetering on 3-4 stars for this this place. The pizza is very good by the slice, but lacks a bit of oomph if you buy a whole pie. I don't know what they do different, but whether you buy pizza by the slice, or by the pie matters. They taste completely different, so if you are looking for a well-oiled NY style slice, this is a great spot. You want the whole pie? It's alright. The service in house is very good. The manager is great and the staff is personable. Delivery can take a while (a long while). I suggest you go pick up your order. It's worth it.

Maybe it was an off night but my son and I ate here tonight since we were in the area and it was not good. My slice of pizza was sopping with grease and toppings looked like they just got dumped on top and heated up. My son had pesto pasta and it came as a bowl of spaghetti with bland oily pesto sauce and hard garlic bread. No one asked how we liked it and the vibe in there was awful- the place had no music and the workers seemed grumpy. Won't be returning. .....month later ..... I am changing my review from 1 to 3 stars. After the last experience here Peter contacted me and gave us two free pizza coupons to give them another chance. We went to the location off 8th and CO this time. It was nice inside- very up to date and clean. We ordered the same pizza as last time with a salad to go. I only had to pay for the toppings and salad, so thank you Peter for that coupon. It was definitely better than the last time. We got meatball, black olive and green pepper again. Unfortunately I don't think they used meatballs though- it was more like crumbled sausage. But it was cooked better and we appreciate the offer to try again.
(3)Melissa C.
Very good New York style pizza. The price is a little high but worth it. Great place for kids and they also serve beer, which is a plus. The guys that work the counter and the kitchen are great. They are always friendly and seem like they are having a great time.
(5)Ronin S.
WORST customer service EVER!! If I could give them Zero stars I would. I suggest you NEVER EVER oder from the Illiff branch. Especially NOT using their so called online service. WORST EXPERIENCE! First time, they had me sitting with some friends waiting and said that they never received my order....even though I had a confirmation number. Thought I would give them a second chance. Screwed up again!! NEVER AGAIN! STRONGLY suggest you do the same.
(1)Roger Y.
Fantastic food, reasonably priced. We were shocked how fast they had it ready, definitely will be eating here again.
(4)Shaina S.
Pretty good. Delivery was very speedy- I made the delivery driver wait on accident, thought my husband was already home and I was in the shower-oops. Pizzas were still hot and yummy, but I wish they packed us some crushed peppers and parmesan. My only dissapointment was that I assumed the basil would be fresh, as it was pictured on the homepage of the Anthony's website. Instead my half of the pizza was covered in old, bland definitely not as tasty, dried basil. :(
(3)Jaxon K.
I am not sure I am seeing why these pizzas are so expensive. Nothing really special. Not bad, but I think you are paying mainly for the "Anthony's" reputation.
(3)Jason C.
How in the world is it a good business practice to turn your phones off when your busy!! Terrible customer service given when you are putting your guests in a bad position already by not communicating. Good pizza but I'll have other stuff for awhile to give you a chance to better your business.
(1)Mike M.
Our first trip to Colorado and we decided to try the pizza from Anthony's. Wow! That was one of the largest larges I've ever seen! The crust was perfectly chewy and the sauce just right. Plentiful topping for sure. Enough leftovers for 2 days! We will stop here again.
(4)Sarah L.
By far the best New York Pizza in Colorado! Just the best pizza in Colorado, they are pricey and I hate spending too much money on things but this pizza is worth it!
(5)Ils A.
As a native New Yorker (born & raised in the Bronx baby) coming to Colorado is cool since I prefer the cold to the dead heat. Since pizza is my favorite food, I am always in search of a place that will satisfy my New Yorker pizza cravings. I am GLAD I came here wow the pizza was SO GOOD I can still taste it, yum!!! Hit the spot right on and the New York pictures on the wall made me nostalgic of my home sweet home. This will be my spot for the next 3+ years that Colorado will be home. Take it from a New Yawka- this pizza is amazing!
(5)Jill F.
Great pizza, delivery or eat in. Guys that have delivered to our house are great. We have always tipped very generously (my husband delivered pizza as a teenager) , these guys deserve it Thank you , keep up the great work
(5)Dick T.
Anthony's is a very good pizza parlor they have great pizza great sandwiches great calzones good salads.
(5)Nicole K.
Love their pizza! One time I didn't want to wait an hour for delivery so I ordered dominos which turned out to be an epic mistake. Will never order from anyone else ever again! Staff is always friendly, pizza is always cooked well and they put plenty of toppings!
(5)Jon I.
I love their pizza and so I feel bad giving only 2 stars but it always takes so long to get any pizza from THIS LOCATION. The past 4 times I've called for a take out pizza there has been a 45 minute wait.....for a pizza. 45 minutes. The one time I actually wait for my pizza I'm here for over an hour. Come on guys. Great pie, crap customer service and it's way too slow for what you are getting. You guys have some work to do to get my business back.
(2)Andrew P.
Mmm nice and greasy fold in half ny style pizza. Can't go wrong here. Try the 18 in pizza for dinner and for tomorrow's breakfast. For lunch I usually get the 2 piece, 1 drink special. I'm out of there fore $8.00. Sitting down and ordering the pies is the best option. I usually wait 10-15 mins for the pizza to come out. Nothing glamorous, just good greasy pizza. I usually soak up the grease though. Leftover pizza tastes good cold and reheats well.
(4)Biz M.
Sadly disappointed in this particular location with a couple of things. First thing is on the web site for Anthony's Pizza it claims to have glutton free Pizza and failed to have it when taking time off for lunch to try it out. The employee who took my order stated " oh we don't have it at this location." The second thing I was disappointed in was Anthony's Pizza wifi. It's 2014 and Anthony's Pizza doesn't have wifi? It shows up on smart phones and has a lock, when asked what the password was by the same employee who took our order, he claimed they didn't have wifi. I then showed him the wifi with it saying Anthony's and he said again "oh not at this location...sorry I only work here" terrible. So I ordered a salad lol at a Pizza place due to them falsely advertising having "glutton free pizza" this location doesn't have it together and gets a huge #FAIL!
(1)Lee J.
Pizza tastes great, good prices, you can buy a whole pizza or just a few slices. Cozy interior and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
(5)Sally H.
The "A" in Anthonys is for Amazing. Real NY Pizza, in AURORA? YEP _ Fuggedabout ti!
(4)K K.
I really enjoy the fresh crust and the fact that they are so close I can order and pick it up way quicker than delivery can and I am OK with that! I would give it 5 stars but they need to improve the time the pizza's are in the oven, underdone pizza is not good and I really don't want to go home and have to cook it more, defeats the purpose of ordering pizza - we don't want to cook!!!! Now if you ask for it to be extra done they can kind of take it to far, hope the owner reads this, when we say extra done it is only because it comes under-cooked more often than not. We love the pizza it is very tasty. Keep it that way!
(4)Jeff B.
Pre ordered my calzone as sometimes they are very busy. Was ready when they said it would be (40 min). Pep n mushroom was great!
(4)Angie Y.
Good pizza, but it's nice to have other options to order such as chicken parm, lasagna, and spaghetti available for delivery. We do plan for the hour delivery window. Plus we live close to the boundaries of their delivery area, so we try and be patient and tip well!
(4)Heather B.
This was, by far, the best pizza we've had since moving to the Denver area in 2012. The pizza situation has been frustrating for us east coast natives, but Anthony's did not disappoint! Great crust - the perfect fold in half kind, the sauce wasn't too sweet and it didn't overtake the whole pizza, and they weren't stingy with the toppings. It was a little greasy, and was cold by the time delivery made it here; other than that, excellent!
(4)Anthony B.
Great New York style pizza. We were planning to get pizza at another place, but it was further out of downtown. This place has great pizza, very reasonable prices. It's a small place, but you can eat in or take a slice to go. The have cannoli, but the shells are dipped in chocolate, which was good, but not traditional. Still highly recommended!
(4)Mean Guy I.
Love this place !! High dollar pie, but a dam good one! Crust is killer, toppings are always fresh and good, But the sauce really takes this pie to a happy place, been ordering pizza for the last 10 years here. Delivery times are usually about an hour... So order early so your good and hungry, the slices on the large pie are massive !
(5)Alex F.
Of all the pizza-delivery options in SE Aurora, Anthony's is head-and-shoulders the best!!!! Crust is great and the cheese and toppings are top-notch!!!! Yum yum!!!!
(5)Michelle J.
Very good pizza and pasta ( i tried alfredo). Prices are decent. Only downside is that this is not a dine in location, only enough room for one small family to sit! Good food thougg, we will carry out from here again.
(4)Dirk D.
Best pizza in Aurora. That's not saying much since Aurora is a cesspool. They have Great New York style crust, not as good as in New York, but is it ever? If your looking for pizza out in this third world, this is the place.
(3)MacKenzie P.
Whenever I "crave" pizza, this is where I go to get my pizza fix. The pies are huge, New York style with the perfect ratio of sauce/cheese/toppings. Every pizza comes out hot and delish. Forget the national pizza chains, Anthony's is the place to go.
(5)Blythe K.
Great, cheap place for a greasy lunch. The pizza is made pretty quickly and brought directly to your table, so you can sit down and hang out with friends while you wait. I've only had the thin crust, which is terrible for you and delicious. The large drinks are LARGE (in the Texas meaning of the word). I probably eat here 2-3 times per month.
(4)Zak K.
I really love the staff here. The slice is top notch and they're always great to be around.
(5)Jese S.
I find it hard to believe I have not reviewed this location yet. I do frequent this spot as it's close to home and does deliver. It's situated in a shopping center surrounded by a grocery store, hardware store and liquor store. You can quite literally grab those few things you need from the hardware store, do your grocery shopping and go grab a pizza and a 6 pack in one stop. Yes.. I have done just that on occasion. I have never had any issues with this location. I will admit I have not tried anything other then their pizza. I don't need to!!! I like their pizza as has my out of town friends and family who have visited. It's the way pizza I grew up with has always been. Flour on the bottom, grease on top. There's a lot of room in this location compared to their others. I know they are trying to have a specific Décor, but it leaves the place a little on the cold side. Delivery can be a little long sometimes, but I figure if you're in that much of a hurry you can get in the car and go get it yourself. I like knowing what to expect and this location has always been consistent.
(4)Anne M.
Franchise does not have to equal ordinary &/or low quality. You can taste the freshness in the food at Anthony's Pizza. I LOVE their pizza. I find the proportion of cheese & sauce to be perfect & the crust has a great flavor & thickness. Their pizzas are also quite large so lots of leftovers! I usually have them deliver & they have always been good about delivering within the promised time range (usually within an hour). I'm trying their pasta & calzone for the first time tonight & looking forward to it!

Service is good, no matter what Anthony's I go to. Their food selection is consistent and most of all it tastes consistent. They have fast service and they are definitely reasonably priced. I am not a connoisseur of pizza, but I know good pizza when I taste it, good job. Overall the pizza is good - not outstanding and most of all, my kids love it. So I will continue to go back!

Pizza tastes great, good prices, you can buy a whole pizza or just a few slices. Cozy interior and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Pre ordered my calzone as sometimes they are very busy. Was ready when they said it would be (40 min). Pep n mushroom was great!

Of all the pizza-delivery options in SE Aurora, Anthony's is head-and-shoulders the best!!!! Crust is great and the cheese and toppings are top-notch!!!! Yum yum!!!!

Very good pizza and pasta ( i tried alfredo). Prices are decent. Only downside is that this is not a dine in location, only enough room for one small family to sit! Good food thougg, we will carry out from here again.

Best pizza in Aurora. That's not saying much since Aurora is a cesspool. They have Great New York style crust, not as good as in New York, but is it ever? If your looking for pizza out in this third world, this is the place.

Whenever I "crave" pizza, this is where I go to get my pizza fix. The pies are huge, New York style with the perfect ratio of sauce/cheese/toppings. Every pizza comes out hot and delish. Forget the national pizza chains, Anthony's is the place to go.

I really love the staff here. The slice is top notch and they're always great to be around.
