Food quality is really bad. Maybe they will get a chef that knows how to cook soon. Sure hope so.

Not the cheapest but absolutely incredible - especially the dessert!

My favorite hideaway in Aspen. Platos has some of the best food you'll get in this town, plus a beautiful view.

I am still amazed that people don't know about this beautiful restaurant. Plato's is one of Aspen's best! The cuisine is what you would expect to find in Aspen, very high quality, local and classic with the occasional contemporary hints that one should look for in food today. Renowned, James Beard nominee, Chef Todd Slossberg does a fantastic job on his menu, the food and view will not disappoint here. Often there are only a few others here which makes the dining experience very intimate and enjoyable. Platos offers the best view during the evenings, looking west gives you a spectacular view of the sunset.

Duffy the server and Bonnie the maître d earn this restaurant five stars. But you're in luck cus the food is amazing, too. My fiancé and my friend's husband planned a surprise dinner for Valentine's Day. We didn't expect such a nice dinner and surprise on our vacation, but we are so glad they brought us here. Brought our own wine for $25 corkage fee plus ordered some champagne. Waters were brought our immediately along with hot pretzel dinner rolls and butter. Ok now for the food: Lobster ravioli appetizer off the special v-day menu. 1 large lobster-stuff ravioli topped with caviar and then the waiter poured and drowned (in a good way) my ravioli piece in lobster bisque. Oh my god. So good. So so so good. After the ravioli was devoured, we uncouthly dipped our pretzel bread into the bisque for every last drop. Fiancé ordered the scallop appetizer off the regular menu. Hands down the best scallops we've ever had. Perfectly cooked. Charcuterie plate and venison tartare were ordered by our friends. Delicious from the bites we had. Fiancé ordered the veal osso buco entrée. Fall off the bone pull-apart tenderness and included the bone marrow. Waited provided a tiny fork to scoop out the marrow. My entrée hands down was the best. Wagyu strip with foie gras torcheon on top along with perfectly cooked Brussels sprouts and truffle mashed potatoes. Ughhhh so buttery and melted in my mouth every bite. Ordered a dessert wine to top off the night and Duffy even brought my fiancé out a complimentary glass because the one he originally wanted to order was sold one. Above and beyond customer service. The chef even came out to personally greet each table which I thought was a very nice touch. Everything was very reasonably priced, but this might be because we're used to the ridiculous prices in Los Angeles. Very satisfied. Out of 10 I give this place 20.

Husband and I celebrated our Valentine's Day here with our friends and had a killer evening! Great service here as well. Ordered the: - venison tartare: my favorite and is a must order!! Was perfectly paired with crusted, warm garlic bread. - waygu steak: off its normal menu. Served with foie gras, which gave it an even more "melt-in-your-mouth" experience - Espresso mousse: delightfully light This place was a definite treat for all of us. Props on the super affordable alcohol prices (husband ordered an 18-year Macallan for $28 and it came with a generous portion).

My wife and came here for Valentines Day and it was such a treat. They had a semi pre-fixe menu which included a5 wagyu topped with foie gras. I die. We ordered the charcuterie and venison tartar for appetizers. These were presented beautifully and also were on point in terms of taste. Flavors are all there perfectly. Afterward came the wagyu. Sometimes this is served on a cold plate to prevent the steak from overcooking, but I prefer it to be on a warm plate so i can still enjoy it to the last bite. They do allow you to bring your own wine - so if you have wine, bring it along! Honestly, I was so sad after I had finished the wagyu that I don't recall what we order for dessert - some kind of chocolate mousse. TL; DR Quality hand crafted food at very reasonable prices. If your are looking for a big meal, this isn't where you want to be.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Hostess was rude and chef was not accommodating. The waiter Thomas was very friendly. Would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We had the venison tar tar, beet carpaccio, Kalbi short rib, and crispy game hen. Everything was cooked to perfection. Servings are generous but not enough to share. Service was amazing and not stuffy! The chef even came out to talk to the table.

Fantastic food, good service. I don't know how much the people eat that were saying this has small portions, they were more than adequate. We didn't finish any of our plates. Wine menu was good but could have had a little more information on the selection. Overall fantastic and would come back.

Great indoor/outdoor dining location with amazing natural views and marvelous patio. Plato's has a new chef imported from Vegas and he knows how to cook! First course highlights for our group included beet and radish salad, perfectly cooked scallops, and oysters with kim chi flavoring (could have been spicier). Colorado rack of lamb could not have been better. Perfectly cooked. Wait staff was superb. We were running late for the Diana Kroll concert so the manager drove us over on a golf cart after we finished eating. You don't find that level of service too often! Four and one- half stars.

Fantastic views, solid service and nice cuisine. Great for a special occasion. Time it to have your dessert as the sun is setting. Expensive, but worth it.

Very good food and romantic setting for a date. My fiancé and I didn't know what to expect. The service and management was very friendly. And the food was done with a lot of care. After reading the other reviews on here, we asked if there was a new chef. Not only did we get an answer to our question, but a greeting from the sous chef (who made all our food) asking how we liked the dinner? Everything from the starters to the entree was very flavourful and exciting to eat! I would strongly recommend the Veal for an entree. We will definitely be back to enjoy another romantic night with great food.

Veal chop, tuna carpaccio, and sweet pea agnolotti was amazing. Really delicious. We'll definitely be back. The service was attentive, warm, and friendly. The view is beautiful. Perfect date spot!
