Great options for a light breakfast. Good coffee, tea, pastries, bagels, eggs, etc. Perfect for a quick breakfast while reading the local newspaper.

The world's BEST hot chocolate. Jour De Fete is my go-to spot in Aspen each morning, summer or winter. They have the best hot chocolate I've ever had and even better is their homemade vegetable cream cheese paired with a bagel. This cream cheese has CHUNKS of carrots, onions, fresh spinach, and other herbs and vegetables. It is amazing. The french owner is there each and every morning with a smile on his face. It makes the place feel very personal which keeps me coming back.

Cute little French place for sandwiches. Dropped by because it was convenient, and what do you know, they make a pretty good sandwich. Prices are a bit higher though, so I wouldn't come here if you're looking for something cheap to eat. But for the price you pay, you get a huge amount of food.

Nice little French bistro. Prompt, friendly service with great breakfast on the lighter side. Good for pre-ski breakfast or before you hit the road. I like the chorizo burrito and The Terry since we share a name. Would rate higher if it was made-to-order. It's more expensive than you'd expect to pay for what you get, but you're in Aspen where the McDonald's dollar menu will run you 3 bucks per item.

A classic french bistro providing comfort food on the go! also great for coffee and a pastry any time of day! Highly recommended! Best priced breakfast burritos in town!

Expensive for cafeteria style food. Hummus was the same kind I get from the grocery store. Good variety and good split pea soup. They even have some vegan options. Only one person working behind the counter (aside from one person cooking). So, despite the fact that the food was already cooked, we had to wait for it.

We had a light breakfast here one morning of coffee and pastries, which was great. The berry muffin was still warm in the muffin tin, and the cinnamon roll was perfect unfrosted. I decided to go back to pick up a cappuccino one morning, and was really disappointed. First of all, it wasn't a cappuccino, it was a latte with extra foam spooned on top. If I wanted a gas station cappuccino I would have found a 7-11 and paid half the price. What was really annoying is that the 'barista' ran out of milk before hitting the top of the cup, paused, thought, "fuck it", and then served it to me with over an inch of space at the top of the cup. Great pastries, terrible coffee service.

Consistently good food in the heart of town. Great soups and salads and hot meals which change daily. Friendly owner and one of my Favs in Aspen YOu can also get good croissants, and some good tarts too.
