Went last night with my husband. We saw they had a pizza bar, so we got that. It came with salad and soup. One was beer and cheese and the other was chili. The salad was ok, and chili was decent. As for the pizza, most weren't fresh and my husband asked if they would be putting any fresh out. The cook act like my husband was asking for a lot. I got one slice of pizza and they finally put fresh pizza out and husband had two slices. The plates are rather small. I doubt we will be back

I'm a Pescetarian which means I only eat sea food - no poultry or red meat.... So in coming to this restaurant for the first time, I was hoping for options that I could enjoy. I had only the option of the salad bar or a Five cheese pizza. I chose the latter and oh my geez it was delicious!!! I didn't even care that I didn't have many options because the pizza more than made up for it. My husband got a hamburger (not sure which one) and he loved it as well. I tried his mashed potatoes - and I'm very picky about mashed potatoes but these were delicious. We will definitely be back soon!

Getting into the parking lot is a challenge..... off of Sheridan directly you would have to enter through the Apartments. And if you DO enter from there and go around the building looking for parking.. you end up on the street... lol... its a crazy vicious circle. Now that I have parked.... onto my review. Consistency. That is what I like about this place. I can't really eat pizza much ,but I bring my friends here for Pizza, and I often get a sandwich - turkey mostly. Everyone likes it when we come by, and most meet up for repeat visits. I have never been disappointed, and if you want a pizza from the buffet that they don't have... they will make one up for you. So the buffet is good, wings are decent, pizza great, and never disappointed in my sandwiches. Plus to hear that my 16 month old gets the salad bar for free!! Whew!!

We do live in the burbs and in the burbs we eat at funny little chains- not sure if Woodys pizza is bigger than Colorado but I know that they have a few in the CO.. I love coming here...we have been a lot ! We always order the pizza/salad bar everytime ! It's quick , easy, and always delish ... The guys know us and will make vegetarian option pizzas . All you have to do is ask .The three cheese is our favorite and we get that pizza every time - the crust isn't to thick and crunchy but just the way I like it -Sure it's not the hip fun "highland" hot spot but none the less it's been really tasty for us !! If your up in Westminster try Woodys pizza bar - I guess in the evening and later it's pretty bumpin - they have djs and that sort of stuff -plus drink specials all the time ! Have fun and try - hope you will like !!

My girlfriend and I were running around town and wanted to try a new place. She pulled up the Restaurants.com app to see what was in the area. We saw Woody's and thought some wings and pizza would hit the spot. We were there on a weekday at 2 pm so it was pretty dead. We got the pizza and salad bar. They leave pizzas out under warmers. They had about 5 or six different kinds out. I went for a basil pesto tomato one first. It had a really good flavor. The crust was pretty good too. The buffalo chicken was inedible. It must have been sitting out for a while. My girlfriend enjoyed the ham and pineapple. There was no pepperoni out but the server had the cook make one. This pizza is best when it's right out of the oven. Really good. The salad bar had tons of stuff. beside the predictables. Pudding, fruit, pasta salad, beer cheese soup, chili. The dressing were good. The beer cheese soup needed a little salt and then it was perfect. We got their spiciest option for wings. They came out. A sigh of relief. Nice and meaty. I can't stand those tiny ones. They are always dry and... well, not big enough. They were moist on the inside. The sauce was actually not as hot as I though it might be. Great flavor. Perfect amount of spice. Good ranch and bleu cheese. I wonder if they make it in-house. The service was great. We pretty much had a personal server. She was friendly and helpful. I like that she had them put a pepperoni out at the pizza bar just for us. We stayed after we ate for a few pool games. They also had a Galaga/Ms. Pac Man machine. If you have pool tables and Galaga I will not be leaving anytime soon. The Galaga machine was in great condition and so were the pool cues. We had a great time and a great meal.

Like I've said before, this is my favorite "Watering Hole". The food is always good, I prefer the burgers, sandwiches and wings over the pizza simply because I'm not huge on pizza but the buffalo chicken pizza is do-able for me and enjoyed by most people that try it. Broncos games are always busy so, get in early if you want a guaranteed seat. Expect a good time with a good crowd of Broncos fans. Lots of "die hards".

If you're heading to Woody's Tavern from any other direction other than south on Sheridan, be prepared to feel like a rat caught in a cheese maze or Shelly Duvall running from Jack Nicholson in the Shinning... It's doable, but frustrating. But once you're in the parking lot, you'll enjoy the fun, friendly atmosphere and the all you can devour soup, salad and pizza! The Beer Cheese soup is so good, it brings those from the Wisconsin Witness Protection Program out in public, speaking openly about cheese curds, tipping cows, and dropping the dime on "Three Fingers" Malone. They keep the Pizza fresh and flowing, but you have to keep checking back- because just like an Oscar Acceptance speech, you never know who's "coming out" next. The biggest surprise? $5 House Margaritas..all the time. They are quite tasty, but just like a push up bra, a little deceiving...looks like there's more in there than there really is.

Definitely not as good as the Woody's in Golden. This one is smaller and passes itself off more as a sports tavern which I found ironic since when we were here it was full of noisy little-league rugrats that made it seem like we were at Chuck E. Cheese. The Golden location has much better atmosphere. So how does the food compare? The pizza was about the same but I still think the Golden Woody's was a little better. The wood-fired crust is really good and about on par. The tomato sauce was not as sweet as the Golden Woody's. The one advantage of this Woody's is their fried sopapilla bites which the Golden location doesn't have which are definitely recommended. I will probably come back to this one but if I had to choose I would prefer going to the Golden Woody's over this one.

I play with a band, and most... well, all right, ALL of our "practice sessions" end up here after about forty minutes of trying to remember what kind of a show we have. We never succeed, but after gorging ourselves on really tasty pizza and beer cheese soup for a great price, we kinda forget about how bad we are at our jobs and just enjoy ourselves. The pizza buffet is their bread and butter... or, uh, pie and sauce? There's probably an apropos substitution for that colloquialism given the actual subject matter, but I'm not sure what it is. Anyway, they do have some good entrees and many other reviewers seemed hooked on the idea of the five-dollar burgers, but five-dollar burgers have an end. Ten-or-so-dollar ENDLESS PIZZA BUFFETS do not. As soon as they do the same with their beers, I'll never have to leave again! ...anyway, suffice it to say I've never tried the burgers. I look at the menu in abject terror that I'll end up trying something just to change it up and experience something new, only to wish I'd ordered the pizza buffet instead, get cold feet, and subsequently warm them with buffalo chicken pizza and beer cheese soup with the wasabi peas thrown in. The point is that I'm happy with the buffet and if you're going to go here, that's what I'd recommend. Years ago, I believe this place was owned by the same folks that own the "Original" Woody's Woodfired Pizza & Watering Hole in downtown Golden, but it's now obvious that, while they're still similar restaurants, they're no longer related by means of directly-involved ownership, at the very least. This is more of a sports bar, and that is more of a restaurant, but both feature that iconic beer cheese soup I've mentioned in most every paragraph so far and the pizza buffet. The Golden Woody's has better wings, but this one is the location I visit more often, due to the proximity of the aforementioned band "practices." They probably have dessert! It's probably as good as the rest of the food! I've also never tried it; I usually just go back for more soup order another beer. The waitresses are always really friendly, in that they smile and laugh when a bunch of shamelessly delinquent musicians come storming into the place an hour before close to eat everything that's not bolted down and give the bartender something to do every few minutes when another one of us needs a refill. We'll definitely be back again next time we decide to try and practice and ultimately never get anything done.

We were looking for some takeout pizza from a non-large franchise, local vendor and found this place which was close by. We got the Hawaiian, it was alright, nothing really special. The pizza was overall alright, a little expensive for the quality. We would probably order from there again if we didn't have a choice but it wasn't that great.

I come to Woody's every Tuesday for trivia and I really enjoy this place. It's kind of a neighborhood pizza joint and bar, offering good times for all. Trivia is a blast on Tuesdays, usually frequented by 10-15 teams. After trivia, they have beer pong set up on the pool tables, so the good times don't stop. Frequently they'll offer promotions and special deals. The food is standard pizza bar...not outstanding but way better than anything you'll make in your microwave. Also, on Tuesdays the pizza bar is 2-for-1, so it's a great option for dinner as well. The drinks are nicely priced if you go for the specials. Stay away from top shelf drinks as they charge like its a trendy club for the good stuff. So come check out Woody's (on a Tuesday) and play trivia and beer pong while your relish the $2 beers. BTW, my team is called "We Think You're Cheating", so be sure and say hey.

Meh, meh meh mehmmmmeeeeh. *Frozen Mudslide = very tasty, mmmm mmm good. *Wings = Inconsistent. Half of the wings were cold in the center. I found them to be more greasy than flavorful. *Beer Cheese Soup = A-OK *Salad Bar = It's a decent salad bar. However, it wasn't looking very fresh tonight. I hate being that person that delicately combs through trays of wilted lettuce in hopes of finding something.. uh, not brown? *Service = I should say that the service would've been better had they not been so under staffed. There were constant floods of 6+ families coming in and not nearly enough help. *Atmosphere = I could imagine this place being a great spot during football or baseball games. There are tvs everywhere! It helped me keep an eye on the Avs game during dinner. If I ever go back, I'll give the pizza buffet a try. Might've had better luck with that.

This Woodys is awesome too! Depending on your tastes it is very sports bar like so if you like that sort of thing that is great. This one is quite a bit bigger than some of the other ones I have been to so it is even better shape to have a large group of people. Pizza is great as well as their salad bar!

The previous reviews are pretty accurate : Cheap buffet = cheap pizza. I was somewhat let down with the choices of pizza; Thin like half baked craker doughy pizza or ....half cooked thicker-type doughy pizza. The salad bar was kinda wrecked when I was there--maybe half way through a typical dinner service. Place was kinda dirty too; stuff on the floors, dirty booths, looks like mixed spoons from sloopy customers not checked by the manager that kinda stuff. I was definitely forgotten by server. Had maybe 1 full glass of iced tea .. .not that great considering you've only got a glass of water to hold you by the remaining time you're there. After I had been home a while , I had the worst heartburn I've had in years.. and my stomach was pissed off with me. Totally was not that worth it to physically feel your body reject your dinner.Overall, I would keep my expectations low, try to go when they' ve just opened, everything is fresher and cleaner that way. I would suggest staying more on the salad side . But if that was the case you can go to a salad bar .. ah ha! Probably not a good idea to bring children or a big group of people with you. They don't know what it means to manage your tables....

This place is generally nasty. I went back in recently with a friend after having not been there for several years. They sort of spruced up the place, bathrooms were redone, salad bar was bigger, but they certainly havent spruced up quality or service. Waitress of maybe 25, with serious tooth decay (can you say meth?) served me the flattest beer, and nastiest sliders I think I have ever eaten. Sliders were served on stale buttered buns, and when I say buttered I mean exactly that...buttered, not toasted, patties were dry, and fries looked as if they had been fried, left to sit for an hour, then re-fried and dropped on my plate. They were greasy, and inedible. People I know love this place, and im going to have to assume they dont eat and order bottled beer. Oh and for those of you who suggest the pizza, I took a gander at the pizza buffet and it made cici's look like california pizza kitchen, which is why I regretfully ordered sliders...

Great place to watch the game or stop in for some wood fired buffet pizza. They seriously come up with some of the oddest pizza combos and is definitely interesting to try something different from the standard pizzas we all know and love. The buffet could be kept more fresh as sometimes it ranges from luke warm to room temperature. If you like micro brews they have a decent selection. At night Woody's turns to the bar scene and generally have something fun going on.

Best part of the dining experience was the nice waitress. We went to eat at the advertised pizza buffet on friday night. The salad bar was fresh and appealing. The beer cheese soup was OK. The pizza was not, leathery crust and bland toppings. Wouldn't give it a second try.

It's a pizza place... i'm not sure what some folks expect, but we really love this place, it's our new date night spot. I've had the buffet a few times, which includes a salad bar (minimal, but it's a pizza salad bar) they also have beer cheese soup, which is pretty amazing but eat it while it's hot and the pizza, well, it's all pretty good, the sauce could be a little thicker, more flavorful, but I've found one pizza varies by another, just keep getting pieces until you find what you like. Their signature burger is pretty amazing, also had the green chili burger and the chicken sandwich, all very tasty and for the price, we're always pleased, especially with their happy hour specials. The service, is sometimes iffy, maybe a little slower than we'd like, sometimes there are kids running around, but they have a ton of tv's, lots of seating and pretty tasty food with cheap beer. The best pizza is the bbq bacon something or another, you'll know when you see it, try it. The desert sopapilla like pizza bites are amazing, add a little honey and you'll be completely stuffed when you're walking out of this place.

I haven't been here in about 7 years despite this joint being less than a mile from me. Now I remember why I didn't want to go back after last nights experience. Just walking in I got a bad feeling based on the appearance of the workers and the smell of the place. THere was food on the floor near the salad bar, trash on the floor by our table. Server was abrupt and not friendly. Didn't bring silverware until main course and had to ask for it. Food was gross, pizza undercooked and bbq sauce on the ribs and chicken was disgusting; tasted sour. Manager didn't argue with us and took everything off the bill except the appetizer which was the only acceptable course. There is no way I will ever go back. Place really needs better management and a little more effort in the food.

This place actually impressed me very much! Had a Groupon, so Matt and I stopped in for lunch. We decided on the pizza and salad bar. Usually pizza and buffets together kinda scare me, but they were really good about keeping the selection fresh. My favorite had to be the Buffalo Chicken pizza. I absolutely LOVE thin crust...and this place does it right!!! This would be a great place to watch the game too. Tuesdays are 2 for 1 Pizza buffet if you buy a drink, not a bad deal at all. Too bad this place isn't closer to me.

This place is sorta ghetto. Kinda dingy. But if you're looking for a local-hangout feeling bar, it fits the bill. They do have pool tables, which is a plus. The Karaoke nights are a total trip, although mostly lacking in talent. The Pizza-Salad bar is meh - The Beer Cheese soup is watery and flavorless (But then again, I make my own, so...) They did have a hit with me, though, with their BBQ Bacon Beef pizza. Thoroughly yummy. It's not a regular on the hit list for us, but once or twice a year, I'd hit it up for some pool, karaoke, and BBQ Pizza.

I don't get the low reviews for this place. Woody's is AWESOME! We been there twice since moving to Arvada and both visits were great experiences. The food is delicious (chicken sandwich and boiled shrimp our first visit and FRESH FRESH FRESH guacamole and a wood fired pepperoni pizza today). Both days we went were Saturdays (College Football, Let's GO BLUE!) and they have great beer specials. $3 Frosty BIG mugs and $5 Pitchers of Coor's which is like $1/beer. The atmosphere is great, nice comfy booths, chill lighting, great views of the tvs, clean bathrooms and foosball for the kids. Both visits, we had great waitresses. Best service we've had in a long time! Hostess and manager seems to really care how our experiences were as well, with visits to the table that felt genuine - not forced like some restaurants I've been to. Everyone here seems like they enjoy working at Woody's and putting on the party.

This is a good deal. I let my son loose on the all you can eat pizza for 9.99, and he tried his best to put these clowns out of business. It is actually good pizza instead of the garbage you usually end up seeing at all you can eat pizza joints.

We usually get take out, but I've eaten in here before. They have TV's for sports and pools tables by the bar. It's a chill atmosphere. They have great wood fire pizza. The pepperoni rolls are definitely awesome too. Definitely worth giving them a try for take out or dine in. One of the better places for pizza in Arvada in my opinion.

I work at a pizza joint with my husband and wanted to try something new. When we get there it was around 930pm ..not so busy. .out server seemed she did not care and did not want to serve us. I wasn't sure what I wanted to drink and she just stood there waiting for me to hurry and choose something after I told her to give me a minute. When I finally got my margheritta I took a sip and accidentally knocked it over I used all my napkins to clean up the mess and she comes back 10 minutes later asking if I would like another. I said no thank you I just spilled mine all over the table and just oh and walked away. She didn't bring us new napkins or offer to clean the sticky table. We decided to get burgers and she asked us how we wanted them cooked mine was medium and my husband's was well done. When we got our food we had opposite burgers cooked and had no bbq sauce on mine which it came with but my husband's did even though his didn't ...I waited 10 min for my server to come back but at that time I just asked for a Dude of bbq sauce. She didn't smile or want to give us the time. When we got our check she didn't tell us to have a good night just threw out check on the table and walked away. Worst service I ever had even if I had or service I would still tip this was the first time I did not hesitate to not tip her. I will probably never come back. I wish I could have not even given 1 star.

We had a Groupon, thank goodness, for here. We ordered take-out. My husband had the ribs, said they were tender....BUT...the sauce ruined it for me. I had the Mahi Sandwich. It was a half sandwich for 8.99., and the piece of fish was small to boot. They also left the cilantro-lime crema off:(((( It was good but definitely not worth the money. Fot that much money I would like a WHOLE sandwich, thank you. I opted for the onion rings and those were good. My husband said the noise level inside was VERY loud. My husband and I both agreed it was NOT worth the money. UPDATE...8/30/14 So we received a gift certificate for this place, so we went back. So glad we did!!! This time we ate in. They don't offer the ribs or the Mahi sandwich anymore, probably a good thing. We started out with the $5 margaritas, which you can get every night of the week:) They were very good, and the glasses are a good size. We ordered 10 hot wings, it being a Thursday night, they were 69 cents each. They were very tasty, a nice little crunch to them. My husband had the half pound hamburger, I had the Honey Bird grilled chicken breast sandwich, minus the bacon. It was soooooo good. I also made a trip to the salad bar. They offered hot wasabi coated green peas, I have never tried them, I am hooked on them now!!! So we have been back 2 more times now. Guess you could say we really like this place. FYI...on Wednesday night all the burgers are $5 each and a side is 99 cents. Heck of a deal:)

We have been to Woodys three times in the past few weeks. The first two times we had the pizza bar. Food was good, service was okay. This time we went on Wednesday for $5 burgers. The waitress took 5 minutes to get to us after we were seated. She took our drink order then took 10 minutes to get us two sodas. Never asked about appetizers or questions on the menu. Our food was pretty good, barbecue burger lacked sauce. She never came by to check on us. We went to pay and had a Groupon. She never brought the check, just took our phone. Came back with the bill, burgers were full price. When we questioned why, she said we can't do both coupons. A) Groupon isn't exactly a coupon and is to be used like cash. B) neither is the $5 burgers, it's a restaurants special of the day. I'm not sure why she didn't tell us this before taking our Groupon, as we would have saved more with the burger special and would have gladly used the Groupon another time (she had already marked it as used). Never have I had such poor service at a restaurant. I'm not sure we will go back. Such a shame. Maybe if they hire servers who can at least pretend they care about their guests we will give them another chance.

We ate here for the first time the other night, it was far from our idea, but we had some friend's son that had a birthday and we joined him per his request. I have read a few of the reviews here about this place, and I think that there is a pretty substantial expectation differential vs the reality. The reality is, that this is an inexpensive all you can eat pizza place, with some other options, and in my opinion, it does a pretty good job at that. For $9.95 you can have all the pizza and salad bar that you could want. And I found both of those options to be pretty decent. Especially the salad bar. I found everything on the salad bar to be fresh, and there were a plethora of options to choose from. As for the pizza, it was not the best I have ever had, and a couple of them I didn't like at all, but it was a buffet, so you can find something that you like. I found a couple that were quite tasty. Was I blown away, surely not, but would I talk people out of going there, surely not to that as well. I am fine with giving it an A-Ok, rating.

Woody's Tavern used to have such a good buffet a few years ago. Today I was very disappointed. The lettuce in the salad bar is withered and brown, but that was only the beginning. Upon biting into pizza from the buffet, I wasn't sure how long it had been sitting there because it was hard and fried from sitting under the lights. The cinnamon bites they offer tasted like they had been left overnight. When we asked to have a pizza made, the freshness was the only good thing I can say about it because it tasted terrible. Not to mention the waitresses remiving our cups for refills, which any server knows is a health code no-no. Leave the cups at the table and either bring new cups or fill them up with a pitcher. We will not be returning for the terrible food and mediocre service.

A couple buddies and I came here on their burger night (Wednesdays, all burgers $5). I ordered the double stack cheeseburger with a tall beer and it was really good. At first our waitress said the might not have any burgers which was surprising because we weren't there that late at all (5pm) but luckily they did. Nice place to have some burgers or pizza, drink some beers and shoot some pool.

This place is to pizza what Taye Diggs is to marshmallows. I was suckered into their "famous" "Buffalo wing" pizza. When did we start putting other cultures' and fast foods onto pizza? Its horrible. Taco pizzas, cheeseburger pizzas, Thai pizza and buffalo wing pizzas. That's like saying "Hey, you know would be great on vanilla ice cream? COLE SLAW!!" The crust was terrible: flavorless. And then it went down hill. They decided the perfect accoutrement to pizza is trashy woman in pubic bearing lingerie. Amateur night with local semi-ho's shaking their money makers to a DJ who couldn't mix tapioca from a box, let alone music. It was a stilted cattle call of stretch-marked single -wide mamas showing off their best tramp stamp wiggles while their mullet laden entourages gathered like Sikhs to the Golden Temple. Slack jawed grandpas gave two-toothed whistles, while the contestants passed around a Walgreens-bought Revlon eyelash thickener, like stoners on a four ounce fatty; the crowd watched listlessly to the ever longer breaks the DJ took, presumably to figure out how to play the next song by up-and-coming artists. (AKA, no one you ever heard of, or ever will) The winner got $500 and slaps on the tush from long fingered creeps at the bar. What a fun frikkin time!

I go here about twice a month for the salad bar. They have a good pizza and salad bar that is open during lunch and dinner, but not in between so if you go about 2 P.M. you can only get salad. My favorite are the cinnamon bites they make and have on the pizza bar, so yummy. The bar area is comfortable for a small group and not too loud unless the Bronco's are on, then it is loud! Good food, salad, and pizza. I like this Woody's better than the others in town because the food seems to be more consistent and the servers are usually the same people so they must treat them right.

Really looking forward for a good Philly hot and toasty. Well today wasn't the day. Ordered a philly and fries and was very disappointed. The hoagie was very dry and cold. The meat and cheese was melted and warm. The fries had way too much salt and pepper, which I normally like but too much is too much. Too top it all off I saw my waitress once. Spent way too much time waiting in an empty restaurant for service. I still love the pizza and tv's. Most of the time I get good service. You can't be pleased all the time.

We ordered the pizza buffet for $9.99. The pizza was very good; however, much of the time the counter was empty and we had to wait for more pizza to be made. The salad bar was well stocked with a good variety and very clean; everything tasted good. The soups were not very good; one was extremely thick and the other was runny. The service also wasn't very good; we ran out of beverages and had to wait for refills more than once. Also, coming into the restaurant and leaving is quite unpleasant unless you love the smell of a million smokers on the patio puffing away. I feel that this place is overpriced for the service that you get and the atmosphere.

We enjoy coming here on occasion. It can be a bit loud at times, especially with a game on. That may not be so bad if you have kids who are in a loud mood, too. On our most recent visit, we asked for a booth and a high chair. They didn't mention that the booths are raised up. When you pull a high chair up to the booth, the poor kid cant' see the table because it's over their head. So, we switched to a table without any problems. Our server was nice, although I would have appreciated it if she had pre-bussed her table more, instead of letting the plates from the salad bar stack up. Redeeming a Groupon was very simple. The salad bar is pretty small, but it had enough stuff I liked to make me happy. And the fruit cocktail is my daughter's favorite thing. The pizza bar can leave something to be desired. They do ask if there's anything in particular that you want, though, so that's pretty cool. And they have yummy cinnamon sopapilla type dessert at the pizza bar, too. Overall, we'll come back. We like this location better than the one in Golden. It's not so dark and crowded as that one. I will say that I still hold a grudge against Woody's for getting rid of their Bananas Foster dessert, as it was the best. Bring it back!

Eh. I bought a Groupon to here because I remember it being pretty alright and with the Groupon, the price was definitely right. We visited today and everything was as I remembered except the pizza. Times is tough, and hosting a buffet likely cuts into a restaurant's bottom line. The fix? Skimp on the cheese and dice up the toppings teeny-tinier than what would be given to a toddler learning to eat solids. I mean, really. I also don't remember the crust being so sh*tty. No chew factor, just crisp on the bottom and cardboard-y all over. Saved me some kcals, however, because I just scraped off the toppings with a fork and ate the two bites yielded per slice. Salad was more iceberg than romaine; toppings were seemingly Grade B. It's cool. I get it. "Reasonably priced" buffets ($8.99/person) are like a black hole for a restaurant's bottom line. It's why I don't eat at places CiCi's (oh god); Woody's was, as I said, pretty alright from a time before, but that time has passed. I'm glad we had the Groupon to throw down. And now that that's out of the way, I won't be going out of my way to visit again any time soon. Not to mention, it's kind of like a time warp inside. Take that as you will once you've visited and seen for yourselves...

Don't bother eating here! PROS-sometimes you get a nice waitress, but you usually feel ignored after the first round of drinks. Also, great if you are single and not worrying about kids. CONS- Pizza isn't as good as it use to be. Buffet is over-priced. Kids buffet price ($5) is for kids 8 and under. Why not ten and under???? Charging $10 for the buffet is just overpriced when the pizza isn't anything special and they don't keep the buffet full of fresh pizzas. I can't even eat $10 worth of pizza. Even if your child is two, they will charge you a full $5 for the kids buffet. That's just wrong when you have a couple of young kids you know will only eat one piece of pizza or a hand full of grapes and you still get charged the full $5. They charge $1 to get a bowl of cinnamon bread. The bread use to be part of the buffet. Why in the world does Woody's have to be so cheap and charge for that now? Also, they use to let you request up to two specialty pizzas they would bring to your table if you didn't see them on the buffet. That certainly doesn't happen now. My suggestion is if you want a fun place to take your kids and get pizza to the same standard that Woody's is serving, then go to Cinzetti's on Mondays or Tuesdays. It's a lot cheaper than eating at Woody's (We spent over $60 tonight just on the buffet). Woody's is just another place that attracts the type of people who don't have families to feed and like to drink and eat a burger, or pizza, and play a game of pool while hanging out with their friends. That's great if you are looking for that. However, for families, this place is awful, over-priced, and not worth it in any way. I read some reviews saying the manager was trying to revamp it. Really???? Seems to me like they're trying to squeeze as much money out of their patrons in order to make an extra nickel.

The pizza is pretty good, the Philly's leave something to be desired. Its a rowdy crowd in there on game nights, an they have no "colors" policy apparently, cuz there were a couple gang bangers in head to toe blue, sitting at the bar.

Upgrade! This place is clean, interior has been recently updated and the bar staff was on point, although the bloody mary was overly spicy. The new menu is much improved with street tacos, man candy (yes, it's on the menu), and family style meals. Get rid of the young girls at the hostess stand (especially the blond). They were playing on their phones and talking about how much money the servers made the night before. So tacky.

We came here before a movie and my sister suggested we sit in the bar for fast service. Aside from a number of dirty tables and a cleanish bathroom, we were happy customers. Like I said we were on our way to the movies, so time was of the essence. Service with a smile came quickly and drinks took no time. We ordered two appetizers: pizza rolls and artichoke dip. So delicious. No joke-nothing bad to say here. The dip was yummy and creamy and the pizza rolls were slamming. I would suggest this place to anyone in NW Denver. Go here!

Bought a Groupon for this place since my bf said Woody's Wood-Fired Pizza was pretty good. Of course he had never been to this particular one so we gave it a whirl with the kids. I was not impressed, but it wasn't bad enough for me to not give it another chance. 2nd chance - NEVER AGAIN! Took my bf, my daughter and her friend to Woody's on a Sunday night. We ordered the so called pizza buffet. Well, if you like burnt crust and dried out pizza then this is the place for you! There was never any fresh pizza on the counter. I was standing there for a few minutes when one of the pizza makers asked if he could make something for me and I told him I was just waiting for something fresh to come out. The pizza that was there was either burnt or it was just the crusty part of the pizza. Now on to the service. The waitress, to be blunt, sucked. She looked like someone pissed in her cheerios or something before coming to work. Her attitude was extremely poor for a server. The girls drinks stayed empty for the longest time. She rarely came back to the tables to check on anyone. If you asked her for something her attitude was like you were bothering her. Here's the important part********************So, I did what any customer would who had piss poor service and crappy food....I left a very small tip. My bill came out to like $46 and change.. I rounded it up to $50.00 even. So, her tip was just over $3 in change. She changed it!! When I looked at my banking info online a few days later she turned the 3 into an 8 and the $50. to $55!! I was FURIOUS!! Mind you, it wasn't just the fact that what she did was illegal, but it was the fact that she had the audacity to do that at all!! I contacted the manager who said he would refund my money. Really all I was looking for was the difference that she stole from me and for her to lose her job! He said he would refund the whole amount and even send me a certificate to come back and try their restaurant again. I never did receive the certificate and I was refunded $50 of the $55.00. So in the end I still paid $5.00, but at least I have yelp to shout out to everyone and hope they save their money and not go to this place!

We stopped in on a random Wednesday night because we were in the area and we were starving. They were playing music video bingo, and my first thought was if they have to have gimmicks like this the pizza must suck. BUT, it totally didn't! We just ordered a plain pizza with mushrooms on it and it was pretty delicious. And the music video bingo was actually pretty fun too.

We hadn't been to a Woody's for a year or so, and had never been to this location. We were there mid-afternoon on a Saturday and were quite happy with our experience. The man who greeted us and our server were both incredibly welcoming, and set the tone for a great meal! We brought along our grown son (who has happy Woody's memories from his childhood) and he was ecstatic about the beer cheese soup and the pizza buffet. There were LOTS of fresh pizzas on the bar, which was impressive considering it was not a normal meal time. They didn't come close to running out, and they even have honey to put on the crusts for dessert at the end of your meal. WE LOVE WOODY'S! We'll be back!

$5 for a 25oz Blue Moon, yep, that's the best thing about this place. Which, I realize as I'm writing this, could almost be worth 3 stars on it's own merit. The pizza ain't bad, either. Really! It's OK cheap pizza, especially when it's all you can eat. Where I really draw the line is with the salad bar. Come on! You can't keep fresh looking greens on the line? I almost puked when I tried to compliment the super unhealthy pies with a little bit of veggies. Sorry, I don't care if you're a pizza place that caters to fat suburbanites, if all you can stock is gray vegetables, you are disgusting.

Green Chile burger. Fried Pickles and a beer. Yum Yum. First the fried pickles were great. They were served as a sphere rather than slices. I would much rather have slices when eating fried pickles but the spheres were a nice delicious change. The green chile burger was great. Smothered in green chili, this burger could not be operated by hands. I grabbed my fork and knife and had at it. The patty was cooked through which is great and the fries were nothing to complain about. Our waitress was on top of our drinks. All in all, great first experience. My groupon kept the price down. Which made the experience easier on the pockets.

I want to like them because they are so close to my house, but I just can't. Maybe they're an awesome bar, bit the restaurant portion leaves a lot to be desired. The pizza is mediocre at best (if you get up to the pizza bar the moment the pizza comes out), and the salad bar is tiny and pretty sad. Huge sodas, which is a plus. Grossest, dirtiest women's bathroom ever. They had one of those plastic signholders on the wall in the back stall, and apparently a spider had crawled in there (it was otherwise empty), and someone had squished it with the signholder. I kid you not, that same dead spider was there for a YEAR.

Good pizza crust and the buffet cook will make you a pizza to order if you want. Sauce could be more flavorful though, I thought it was watered down. The buffalo chicken pizza was amazing but I couldn't eat a whole pizza of it. Great value for the price and seems like a great weeknight spot for drinks and pizza. We will be back.

The pink neon eaves of Woody's are somewhat comforting to me in the deepening dusk; I've been here before for a dependably good pizza on many an evening, but have never left the dining room to join the local barflies who luxuriate in the warm TV-and-beer-sign glow that cradles the raised bar. $5 for a 25-oz. Blue Moon. Not bad. I start in on the giant mug, the commercials on the flat screens in front of me offering more enticements for the bargain-minded: Great Clips, Subway. CSU is beating CU 20-10 and knocking again after a long downfield gain. I sit and sip and listen. The two guys to my left are chronicling the ins and outs of DIY brake work. To my right, a heavy woman and two drunk men signal in a round of Cuervos with grapefruit chasers. I didn't know you could do that. I eavesdrop on them for a while. The men dominate the conversation. They sound like they've been drinking all day. One shows cellphone pics of himself in a beer hat (a hat that dispenses actual beer, from what I can gather), taken at Elitch's. They dissect the fallout of a recent bromance gone sour. They put to rest a misunderstanding about an interpersonal loan that had allegedly been defrayed for a marijuana purchase. They talk about their kids, about flying kites, and the kite as your "metaphysical self," and how to discuss the kite with local constabulary when you fly said kite too high at a park that doesn't permit such things. They order a plate of wings, which I copy, thinking of all the Arvada/Westminster police cruising around out there on full holiday weekend alert, ready to hand out DUIs like Halloween candy. A third guy shows up briefly, announces that he's going to go get some blow, and disappears. The conversation has the tenor of many -- your humble narrator has had them too -- where interlocutors, hastened by the sauce, conspire to tell each other that they are exactly who they need to believe themselves to be: equitable men making the best decisions possible in a world fraught with the ignorance of everybody who's not at this bar right now. The dining room is still about half-full of families as I leave. I trail one of the drunken gents outside, a thin guy with a mustache and a mobile headset. I've forgotten my cigarettes, so he bums me one of his Pall Malls and we talk about the blessings of the Colorado climate. It is a beautiful night. I take my leave when the big woman and the other guy appear, his friend in the short-brim fedora, who unzips to piss on the fence that surrounds Woody's patio.

I was a little nervous considering some of the reviews I read, but this place turned out okay. I went there and go the all-you-can-eat soup, salad, and pizza for $8.99. The service was what you would expect, nothing crappy, nothing great. Pizza was okay. Not the best. They only had one soup on the line and the salad that night was fresh, despite what some of the other reviews mentioned. It's a pretty loud joint when sports are going on and I was amused by the lingerie competition that was advertised on their door. I guess bring your kids when its not going on? Be careful, the pizza's do get dry and they're not always the freshest when you go up there. Honestly, I might consider CiCi's over this place for variety and freshness. They do take requests for pizza toppings though, if you get the buffet. All in all, not too shabby, but not amazing either.

Food was just A-ok, but I'm giving them 4 stars for their service. It was fairly busy on a Thursday night, but we were well taken care of by our server. Wings were better than average and sweet potato fries were delicious. I also left the restaurant leaving my expensive brand new phone on the table. When I called them frantically as I was on my way back to start looking for it, the host assured me that the server turned in my phone to management! I'm so grateful to have found it.

Ahhh Woody's. Sometimes you just have to have that Beer Cheddar soup. My brother was in and he was craving just that. Conveniently located close to his rental we visited on Labor Day for a Soup and Salad bar lunch. On this particular day we were advised,"Sorry we don't have a salad bar person, but we can refill whatever you need". Luckily all we needed was some salad and some soup. There were actually quite a few people in at that time of day. The waiter was nice and kept our iced tea full. We grabbed a few bigger plates from the pizza buffet portion, as the salad plates were kind of tiny for any thing of substance. We didn't opt for the pizza buffet with our soup and salad, but it looked pretty good. And the Beer Cheddar Soup, full of potatoes and beer and cheddar. It's so good and luckily I don't have it enough to grow tired of it. ******side note... I have to have my normal bitch about the salad bar. We are so careful with those who are vegetarian,or Gluten free in things.. Why can't restaurants learn that some people, including myself are allergic to eggs. PUT THEM AT THE END!!!!!!!!and stop putting the dang pot of them in the middle of all the things I like and then can't have because of the cross contamination. LOL, OK, I am done now.

Great local bar. The pizza is pretty good but I think the main attraction is the soup, salad and pizza buffet. The salad bar has many options and if you want a specific pizza they will make it for you fresh within about 8 minutes or so. The buffet is all for around $9. Drink specials are the best in the area. $2.50 wells and ladies drink free on Wednesday night after 9.

We were very disappointed with our experience at Woody's. It ranks among the worst bar experiences my girlfriend and I have ever faced. From the time we walked in to the time we left we were recipients of rather poor service. We arrived the bar around 3:30. The hostess was friendly, but not very knowledgeable. We asked to sit at the bar, and she offered us menus. We asked if there was a drink list on the menu to which she replied, "I have no idea, take one anyway." When we arrived at the bar we discovered that the entire drink list was on the back. Unfortunately, this was the best part of our customer experience. While at the bar, we inquired about happy hour. My girlfriend, asked what the well rum was. The bartender, Bobby, showed us a bottle of vodka. We decided against the well rum or vodka, in exchange for Jameson, which was also in the well. I decided on a beer. There was one tap I was particularly interested in, the 90 shilling. I asked Bobby what it was like and he simply replied, "It's an IPA." When i received it, I quickly discovered it was not an IPA, but a scotch ale. Once we had finished our first drinks, we sat waiting, as a server entertained the bar staff with something on his phone. When Bobby finally noticed that our drinks were done, he looked at us and offered us another with a mouth full of food. My girlfriend ordered another drink. So, Bobby, decides to put his dirty plate above the glasses underneath the beer taps. He then proceeded to make the drink with his unwashed hands. After our second drink, we decided to leave. The bartender charged our card and gave us the receipt. My girlfriend noticed that the bill total was higher than expected. We had payed $5.50 for drinks we had expected for $2.50, the happy hour price. We asked for the bill to be adjusted, to which the bartenders informed us that Jameson was not a well liquor. We protested that it was misleading to put a non-well liquor in the well. Both bartenders, Jorrel and Bobby, were dismissive of our argument. Bobby said, "Theres nothing we can do, a shot of Jameson is six bucks. Just because its in the well doesn't mean its a well drink," then walked away. Jorrel said, "That's just our speed rack; it's 'bar logic.'" We were quite offended by the attitudes of the bartenders. However, the most inflammatory service came from the manager. The manager, first of all knew, of the problem, I overheard him discussing it with Jorrel. He did not come over and talk to us. Finally, we requested to see him. The manager comes out, and barely gives us a chance to explain the problem before explaining that he cannot help us because he has to cover his costs. He then began to argue with me about how bars operate, and how he doesn't cover the cost of a bottle of Jameson at $2.50 a shot. He said, "Jameson is "ultra premium' we pay $38 dollars for a bottle. I've never seen a bar with Jameson in the well." (For the record, $2.50 x 28shots =$70. $70 is greater than $38) He was not concerned with our customer experience what-so-ever, even after I had mentioned that I had been receiving poor service. Instead of asking me about my concerns, He was defensive and unprofessional, saying, "I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but theres nothing I can do." He was completely unwilling to offer any concession for the trouble we were having. We left after this with a very bitter taste in our mouths. Between the two of us, we have over 10 years of fine dining service experience and know that guests should never be treated this way. First, bartenders should pay attention to their guests. They should never see you eating behind the bar or looking at your phones instead of paying attention to customers. (Not to mention hand washing.) Secondly, bartenders should be knowledgeable of the drinks on their menu. A quick glance at the menu would've been all it took to know that the beer Bobby served was not an IPA. Finally, bar staff should be friendly and attentive when addressing the concerns of their guests, especially the manager. There were plenty of opportunities to make the situation right. Something as simple as offering us a free appetizer coupon, or giving us one of the two drinks at the lower price, would've been enough to satisfy; we would have been more inclined to try this place again. Instead, we left dissatisfied over a $6 discrepancy. There are plenty of restaurants with good deals on drinks and food. We made the wrong choice today. I hope that someone who cares about woody's and their guests reads this and that the floor staff learns from their mistakes. We do not see ourselves returning to Woody's in the near future.

It's pretty good. It's not quite as good as the Golden location. Maybe it's the ambience. I do like that it's more open and not cramped. But it doesn't feel as "cool" as the original. Our waitress was very nice, very attentive. Everyone in our party had the pizza buffet. I had the honey bird sandwich. Pretty darn good, exceptionally juicy.

I wrote Woody's off years ago. The quality seemed inconsistent and lower than the sister location in Golden. KK suggested that we stop in for a drink last weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. The entire menu had changed for the better. It looked like the Ignite menu (Common Ownership) and included new and better offerings. I was pleased to see that, like Ignite, they offer Man Candy (sweet and spicy bacon) and it is much closer to us than downtown. We ordered a cheeseburger pizza and devoured it. I will go back again. It may become a close HH option.

Food was bland & service was not good, I think the waitress truly hated her job or that's what it seemed like. There was just no seasoning on any of the food even the pizza. My husband had the chicken fried chicken & I had the personal BBQ ranch pizza & we shared wings.....we don't have anything good to say about any of it.....avoid!

Go here!

Typical pizza buffet with ability to order a pizza of your choice in 5-7 minutes. Salad bar was clean with a large variety of toppings. 2 Pool tables, bar, and plenty of waitresses. Numerous TVs on different channels. Definitely would recommend for a casual night out for inexpensive pizza with a calm atmosphere

When I came in to review this restaurant, and saw it was getting three stars, I thought that was about right, but "A-OK" really is being nice. I don't know what the other Woody's stores look like, but this one was real weak. It looked like a run down bar that also served pizza. All of the staff looked to young, the entire place looked too dirty, and the whole experience made me kind of wince. I suppose there are people who will like that they can get a lot of food for a little bit of money here, but, what they don't pay in price, they pay for in risk. For example, there was actually a nice variety on the salad bar, but most of it looked like it had been sitting there for at least a day, maybe longer. You can get "All-you-can-eat" pizza, but calling what they serve "pizza" is a real stretch. It resembles pizza, but mostly in appearance, and that's all. The crust, although I rate it up for not having an aftertaste, was somewhere between thin crust and thick crust, but not really either. It reminded me of the Chef Boyardee crusts we made when we were kids. If that weren't bad enough, it was not cooked quite long enough, and the bottom was kind of "greasy." The toppings were OK, and the flavor was OK, but it was more like School Lunch pizza than "real" pizza. For the price, I would eat it on a pinch, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to do so. Go ahead, and dine at this restaurant, but just don't go in there expecting to satisfy your pizza craving. If, on the other hand, you want a good deal on draft beer, you will not be disappointed - it's a better place to drink than it is to eat.

I've never been disappointed at Woody's. Yes, they have a pizza bar, but let me tell you that their menu is sadly underrated. I know a lot of people go there just for the instant gratification of a buffet, but waiting for their menu items has always been worth it to me. If you do get the pizza bar, go with the Buffalo Chicken Pizza or the California Dream. And if you're ordering off the menu, they just added Buffalo Chicken Pizza Rolls... yum! The staff in the cocktail area was helpful and enthusiastic, even though half of her tables were zoned out on some football game. We got the drinks we ordered on time, and even my first time there I was treated like a regular. I've never noticed any sort of clutter or dirty floors - and chipped plates don't really bother me, do you realize how many people eat off that plate in one day, how many times it gets washed? And if it happens to get a chip - you expect the owner to go buy a new one for $5? The staff and customers probably break enough as it is, a little chip isn't going to hurt anyone.

I like Woody's pizza crust.. and the dessert pizza. I think the best time to come is at lunch for the pizza buffet. It's not typically a place I think of coming to for dinner time... but if you're in Arvada or up in Broomfield Woody's is a sure thing for a decent pizza & salad buffet.

This place would have to evolve to suck! We got there at 3:30 PM on a Saturday for lunch and drinks. We asked the bobble headed waitress if there were any specials. She said bloody Marys and Tequila Sunrises. I saw a flyer in the bathrooms that said happy hour everyday at 3. I asked the bobblehead. She said,"I thought it was still morning." We ordered burgers 'cuz the salad bar looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. The burgers sucked! Wrong recipe and overcooked. I told the idiot and she laughed and walked off. One of the staff there MUST be passin out some serious drugs. And a special thanks to the Mgr there who never left the table of the hot chick by the bar. Do yourself a favor and drive past this POS. Read the other reviews.

Woodys!! Deserves a solid 3 1/2 stars but I'll bump it up for nostalgia's sake. I frequented the FoCo location in my high school years and beyond, so when I found out this location was a short-ish drive from my apartment, we had to make the trek. And YUM. The buffet is definitely the way to go here; my boyfriend and I got completely different kinds so we got to sample almost everything. The best? I say the California Dream (artichokes, sundried tomatoes, spinach, feta, and roasted garlic) and he says some sort of 5-meat (I'm guessing, but there was a lot of varied flesh on that slice) - yeah, we're polar opposites sometimes! EVERYTHING was good though and it was a fantastic deal. Here's a tip: every Tuesday you get a free all-you-can-eat buffet with the purchase of two drinks and one buffet. We stuffed ourselves for about $13 total. The Fort Collins location used to have a thing where you just counted the slices you ate and each was about $1. This is GREAT if you don't have the appetite to sustain a buffet, but still want the variety. I don't know if they still do it, but it's worth asking about. Pros: Price! Can't beat it! The pizza "chefs" will make any kind of pizza you want, there's cinnamon sugar dough thingies for dessert, and hello! California Dream. The cons: My soup (beer cheese - sounded delicious) could barely be called lukewarm and was hovering on disgustingly cold. Whatever, I had PLENTY of other food. The restaurant also struck me as a little shady - a weird, sketchy guy hanging out outside the door, or the pizza guy who was missing more than a few teeth might have given me that impression, but idc, I love Woodys with all my heart.

Been dying to come here for the past couple years since an amazing visit a few years ago. Sadly they took pesto sauce off the menu and our waitress has got to be one of the worst I've ever experienced. Acting like a total bitch as if its her last day with nothing to lose and doesn't know a damn thing about their beer selection. Super short and rude. Lame, in town for a month, probably won't be back because of her and my favorite pie toppings are gone.
