Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

No complaints here! Certainly satisfied with this visit, and also being our first time at this location. The gentleman at the counter, with whom we assume was the Manager was so informative in regards to the menu and every little detail of it. He was extremely courteous and polite and even offered us water while we waited. The wait time for our to-go pizza was just as explained and they even came outside to get us when it was ready. Once at home the pizza is perfectly made as requested and full of flavor. We will definitely be returning!

Called in to place a take-out order and was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. Awesome! I proceeded to drive to the restaurant and arrived right around the 20 minute mark. When I arrived, I got in line behind a young couple placing an order for a pizza. When it was my turn, the gal behind the counter looked me up and down as I walked up. Well, now I'm uncomfortable... "Four more minutes," she said. I'm a patient person, I didn't mind at all. I sat down and waited... Waited... Waited some more. The couple in front of me had their pizza brought out to them. Then another couple came in and picked up their order and left. I leaned around the corner and asked her how much longer she thought it may be and she looked me straight in the eye, picked up the phone and dialed an outbound call. I went up to the desk and patiently waited for her phone call to be over. I asked again how much longer it might be and I stated that if I had known it would take this long, I would've called in much earlier. She huffed and went into the back and surprise, surprise... My pizza was ready now, and it only took 53 minutes to be exact!. I used to be in the service industry, so I get it if you're busy or if you're not having the best day. I just expect alot more out of you Anthony's Pizza, you certainly lost my business.
(1)Lana S.
I downgraded my review by a star because the last two times the pies were not cooked all the way through. Otherwise it's still a good pizza when it's cooked right.

Came here on my lunch hour after a lovely visit to CenturyLink next door and saw their lunch special board. 1 huge cheese slice, a small salad (or a second slice), and a drink for 6 bucks, can't beat that! I'm not normally a big fan of NY style but this was pretty good. Salad was better than expected, good quality lettuce for this type of place. I didn't have any issues with the customer service, I was in and out nice and quick. I can see though how people have had issues, it's clear that it's a bunch of kids working at a pizza place and don't necessarily care for their job. But I had no issues, definitely would return.
(4)Jason H.
I'm not sure this place deserves such a low rating. It's a chain, and for the price point the quality of food, customer service, and cleanliness of the restaurant are right on. I've been to several Anthony's locations throughout the front range and I found this place to be consistent with all the others I've visited.
(5)Mark S.
Nothing too fancy but a fantastic pizza joint for slices. Can't commend on their delivery or full pies, but their jumbo slices for lunch are freaking delicious! Great 2-slice + drink lunch deal as well, which makes me want pizza every day for lunch! It's hard resisting the urge for another slice...
(4)Sarah S.
I really wanted to like this place. Gluten free pizza that delivers? Yes, please. But what I received cannot be called pizza. It was one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had. Absolutely no flavor. Not in the paper-thin crust, not in the sauce, and not in the toppings. My husband got a regular pizza and said the exact same thing. No flavor whatsoever. Also, the gf crust was pretty much a tortilla. Save your money and go to Beau Jos across the street.
(1)Tiffany W.
New York style not because it's thin crust -- because the customer service is rude and/or short and/or non-existent. Just like my experience in the Big Apple with people not having any d*mn manners. I couldn't even get a "hi" or "hello" (it's called a greeting!) from the punk behind the register. And as I stood there waiting for my one slice I noticed him and another punk were too busy fussing over a smartphone to do anything else. Older guy (and that's a relative term) was too exasperated from a call-in order to see that my slice had come out and was sitting on the counter while he went into the back for something. He came out and handed me the bag without a word until an insincere "thank you" fell out of my mouth, reeking with the same bad attitude as his "you're welcome". C'mon, folks. $2.70 (with tax) for a cheese slice is a deal, but not enough of one to put up with the 'tude from the employees. I should have continued on in my travels and gone to the new pizza place on 38th Ave. They have slices there and maybe even a smile.

I ordered my pizza BEFORE I read all the reviews here, so I'm sort of sorry I did. But the deliver order was fast and easy, and they were here in 20 minutes! The pizza was delicious (plain-old pepperoni), but the wings did not appear to be fully cooked and smelled funny. Not sure I'm going to eat them. I covered them in hot sauce and put them in a 350-degree oven. I was buzzed when I ate the pizza, so my rating is only semi-reliable. It should probably be 3 stars, but when you're buzzed, ALL pizza tastes delicious. If I have to get rushed to the hospital because of the wings, I'll get back to you.

Food is a hit or miss. The employees are....questionable? I walked in with a friend at about 8:45PM seeing as their hours were 9:30PM or later and stood at the counter for a good 2 minutes or so with no one in sight. An employee came out from the back and headed towards the bathroom and heard hacking in the bathroom. When he came out, his hair was drenched in water and watched as he ran his hands through it while heading towards the kitchen. And employee finally came out, ignored us and cleaned the area by the cash register. When he finally acknowledged us, he grunts and says that they're closed. We sort of thought we was joking with us but as soon as he said it, he continued cleaning, we looked at the time and told him the sign said open and continued to ignore us. I don't think i'll return to this joint again. Guess i'll have to find a new place to eat lunch at.
(2)Katie K.
I would give this location ZERO stars if I could. I like Anthony's okay, but the few times I have been to this location, the employees don't seem to care. They let me stand by the counter waiting to order for several minutes! The girl came to the counter & stared @ me, I placed my order & she said almost nothing...no "thank you" or "have a nice day" & the expeditor guy dropped my plate of pizza in front of me walked away....very unfriendly. The employees don't seem to care.

Too many times in the throws of desperation for food I have wandered into Anthony's for some food. One sign that things might not be good is the fact that some stranger tells you to "get the pizza, not the pasta". The pizza looks good. It's cheesy, decent toppings, etc... but there's just not a whole lot of flavor. The Sicilian pizza seems to be a little better than the thin NYC slice. I have yet to try the pasta but after the insider tip from a customer I'm not sure if I really want to. Despite knowing all of this I'm sure I'll be back one day when my stomach is growling and there's nothing else open.
(2)Michael R.
It's been over four months since my last review and I just have to add that NOTHING about the loutish employees at this place has changed. They are still as grim and joyless as ever, but it seems they've hired a few more of these zombies to take our money, not say "thank you" and proceed to heat up your slice to the temperature of Venus even though you ask them - again and again - NOT TO HEAT IT UP TOO HOT, PLEASE! Oh, and if no one is watching the lame hockey game, why do you have the volume of ALL of the TVs turned up to 11?? Your dining area is supposed to be for those of us who are dining, and our dining enjoyment. When will these places get the idea that a dining room is no place to be subjected to heavy metal, screaming TVs and/or FM radio and it's obnoxious commercials?! Turn off the TV or radio, buy a CD player, get a better caliber of appropriate dining area music, play it at a respectable volume. Simple enough?
(2)J S.
I have ordered here about 6 times. Take out and delivery. This is by far the most over rated pizza chain in Denver. The crust is cracker white and bland. The sauce passes for pizza sauce but nothing to write home about. The staff is about the worst i have encountered. Denver does have good pizza but it is not made by Anthony's. I have been to 4 or 5 locations and can't say the others are any better.
(1)Roger B.
Not unlike millions of Americans, I have been to countless pizza parlors/restaurants and while most share many similarities, some stand out among the crowd. Well, Anthony's stands out too; as THE WORST experience I have ever had purchasing a pizza. It deserves a ZERO star rating and I wish Yelp would allow that distinction for this lead medal winner. The evening I went to pick up a pizza the owner/manager was arguing in front of me with another manager/senior representative about time clock punches for the employees, he reprimanded another male employee in public for something-or-other, all the while, I was completely ignored by every staff member in the establishment including the owner/manager and two young women who were supposed to be working the counter. One of them actually walked past me to build pizza boxes. I sat six feet away from the counter on the bench they have facing the register for almost 30 minutes, expecting at any time that someone would acknowledge my presence; mind you, it was not the least bit busy and it was the dinner hour. Amusingly, behind the counter, they have a sign that tells the customers to be patient because "we do not prepare your order in a New York minute." I may be paraphrasing, but you catch my drift. I decided to be patient because I was certain someone would ask if I had placed an order or if I would like to place an order. HA! No dice, so I approached the counter to announce I was there to pick up my phone order vs. arbitrarily loitering and staring at them which must be common because either they didn't notice or care. Abysmal service aside, the pizza was a 5 out of 10 at BEST. The word: "style" is overused in American vernacular, but is supposed to refer to something particular, distinct or characteristic. Their "NY style pizza" resembles it from a distance, but falls woefully short in all respects. I grew up on NY pizza and realize how difficult it is to reproduce those results at altitude, but it has been done and done perfectly at a few Denver/Boulder restaurants. I suppose anyone can claim anything they want about their business, but these guys really have some balls. Tastes vary, so judge for yourself and then go and have a real slice of NY style pizza; the difference will surprise you.
(1)Rod B.
We also had to experience the poor customer service, rude employees and slow service before reading the reviews here. The food was okay, but there are many other Italian places with better food and employees who actually care that you're a customer.
(2)Kiersten S.
Really love the pizza here! Havent tried any other dishes but a slice with mushrooms is always a pleaser in my house. The staff could use a little warmth.
(4)Jisha J.
I'm generally a fan of NY style pizza and this place has great lunch specials. The slices are huge and one slice is definitely enough for lunch. I had gone in one day thinking to try the tiramisu from here for dessert because I had been searching for some good tiramisu with no real results for a while. I told the person taking my order and he gave me a slice of tiramisu on the house! He told me that I would love it and he thought it was only fair that I try it and decide for myself. He was right! They have excellent tiramisu and their pizza is delicious!
(4)Maria N.
I really like the pizza here. I ONLY like the pizza here. The rest of the food are very tasteless like the pesto pasta and the pasta salad. I took off three stars because the staff is horrible and unwelcoming. The manager is just the same and customer service is important to me.
(2)Jane F.
Every time I come in here the employees are so incredibly nice to me. So much better than average places where you can tell the employees don't even care. They always ask me how I am doing and make sure I am having an enjoyable experience. Such delicious food and friendly workers for such a cheap restaurant
(5)Jessica B.
This place is awesome. Everyone was really cool and it was the best pizza I've ever had. And, all the guys who work there are totally hot, especially the drivers. I always order delivery ever since a muscular and strapping young lad came to my front door. I would highly recommend this place, and for everyone before me who left negative reviews, maybe it's not the service that's lacking, maybe it's you.
(5)Jenn M.
I called this location to find out if they delivered and what their radius was. I was ensured that my address was within the delivery radius. Something came up and we decided not to order that night. A couple of months later I called to make a delivery order. The caller took my order, my contact info, AND my address then told me it would be about 45 minutes. Twenty minutes later they called me back to tell me I was just outside of the delivery area. Why they told me a couple of months prior I was in the radius and why they didn't tell me I wasn't in the radius when I gave them my address at the time of ordering, and why it took them halfway through my waiting time to call to tell me they wouldn't deliver is beyond me! Horrible customer service. At that point they should have made the exception and delivered. We are only located about 1.5 miles away from the store. Still waiting to see if my credit card still actually got charged, but I wouldn't put it past them.
(1)J L.
We've become Bi-weekly visitors here, and the quality of the food and service has been excellent, also if you happen to like them on Facebook they give you a free slice, so you can try them out for free if you'd like. The slices are huge so you definitely get your money's worth when it comes to portions, they also have a movie/play area for small children. disclaimer: I've only ever eaten the Pizza and/or Garlic Bread here and both are very good.
(5)Paul P.
Decent pizza, poor service. I would not rely on their estimated delivery time. If you are an Arvada Beer patron, please do yourself a favor and go to Udis instead. They are close and make a better pizza with better service. There isn't much accountability at this Anthony's location.
(2)Bill R.
Just got in from SOCAL, I wanted a nice pizza to bring to my daughter's family. This has to be the very worst pizza i have ever ever bought in a store. They were backloggged, so we waitied for a pizza, that didn't even smell or taste like a sausage, black olive and mushroom. it didn;t have pizza sauce on it. We did not order the white sauce pizza. We will never go there for pizza. Even Costco Pizza beats this. We made a mistake and paid for it. Cypress Bill
(1)Kyoko W.
Ok - If I'm going to give Marco's Coal Fired 3 stars, I have to upgrade Anthony's. Still not the NYC pizza I dream of outside of NYC, but it's a damn good slice.

Every time I come in here the employees are so incredibly nice to me. So much better than average places where you can tell the employees don't even care. They always ask me how I am doing and make sure I am having an enjoyable experience. Such delicious food and friendly workers for such a cheap restaurant

Decent pizza, poor service. I would not rely on their estimated delivery time. If you are an Arvada Beer patron, please do yourself a favor and go to Udis instead. They are close and make a better pizza with better service. There isn't much accountability at this Anthony's location.

Ok - If I'm going to give Marco's Coal Fired 3 stars, I have to upgrade Anthony's. Still not the NYC pizza I dream of outside of NYC, but it's a damn good slice.
