Not much to add to the 1500+ reviews before me but The French Laundry is definitely worth the headache of finally securing a weekend dinner reservation as well as the heartache of the splurge. It is definitely a culinary delight that every (self proclaimed) foodie would enjoy experiencing at least once in their lives.

This review is long over due, but better late than never (6 months later). I must say my greatest takeaway along with the three other guests I was with was the outstanding service, dessert, personal kitchen tour and personalized menus which was a great memoir of our anniversary. We were a bit disappointed with the meals and don't think it is worth it for the price. It's one of those things in life where "you've been there, done that" once in a lifetime. Won't go back though.

We had an incredibly special experience at The French Laundry. We literally got the reservation the day of (they had a cancellation and called us that morning), and we went with another couple who had also just gotten engaged, so it was a major celebration! This is so much more than dinner - it's an immersive culinary and sensory experience that will leave you dazzled and speechless. They think of all the little things, from small details on the plate to synchronized service (like placing each person's plate on the table at the same moment). There's so much to appreciate, even beyond the food. If you can manage to get a reservation, don't miss it!
