Honestly this place sucks to the max. Talk about horrible customer service the girl that worked there was totally on her period.It was me and 2 my friends that came over to check out the spot and we waited about 25 minutes for our hookah to be served up!!!!!!. Im reading the other reviews and they said that there was a dj? i didn't see no dj there, there was like this shitty top 40 mix playing on the radio. at one point my friend tried dancing with his girl friend and the lady that served us told us to sit down immediately or they would give us the boot. when we got to the counter to pay they tried charging us a 5 dollar fee for some bullshit....something about there was a minimum of 2 people per hookah? i never heard anything like that in my life sounds like desperate measures right there to make a quick buck. Dont even get me started on the bathrooms they where dirty as HELL!!!!!!! there was pee all over the toilet seat there was tagging all on the walls the floor was covered with toilet paper and its too much for me to describe it to be honest. i recommend no ones goes to this place up instead go to Hookah Time Cafe in downey or mosaik hookah in downey as well (they got better prices AND a better variety of hookah flavors!) waste of 12 bucks! and if you are dumb enough to go don't get apple it tastes like ass!!!!!

this place falak is like my second home jk im a regular customer... i go here every once or twice a week... the staffs are really nice..and have excellent customer service. the music is good just wanna get up and dance.. lol.. i LOVE it. very good place to chill and hang our... recommend to go here... prices are good fits right in my bugdet... :)

Definitely my favorite hookah spot. I come here at least twice a week. The staff is incredibly friendly especially Sam (I believe is her name). Every time she is there I know the hookah is going to be amazing...never disappoints!! She pretty much is the reason I keep coming back! I recommend to always order any hookah with an ice tip! So much better...try it!! :D

I come here once a week every week and am never disappointed. By far the best hookah spot i've been to. Their specialty hookah, Sweet clouds is my hookah of choice for over three years now. Special thanks to the managers and staff that make my experience comfortable and worth while every time I go.

Honestly, I probably won't be back. Pros: - They have hookah - Open late Cons: - From the moment we arrived, we were pestered about ordering drinks, ordering another hookah, ordering drinks, ordering another hookah. They must have come over 4 times before the rest of our party even got there. - Additional $5 per person if there is more than 2 people per hookah. aka, if you go just to hang out, be prepared to pay to not smoke. - Overall group opinion- hookah was okay, but not great. - Coal service was lacking - The music was so loud it was impossible to hear anything else - There are no food options and few drink options, probably about 1/2 of what is written on the menu, which is small to begin with.

It's a pretty good place but not great. The servers there pester you to much about getting more then u ordered. Which is ok at first but it happened more then a couple times. There isn't any food there or any drinks worth while since it's the basics but just over priced. Also they make sure they make u pay if u go in a group which kinda sucks since it's 5 dollars a person after the first 2. This is one of my favorite hookah places since they have dokha. I have never tried or heard of it before. So decided to try it with a buddy and it is such a head rush. For those who have never tried it before be warn it is harsh on the throat though it also depends on how much is mixed in. Also they run out of the dokha pretty fast so I usually call ahead to see if they have any since I can't smoke hookah without it now.

it's a chill spot hidden in the back behind Bambooze, i like that it is very Low key and only people who actually want to smoke hookah come in for it, rather some strangers not knowing what they are walking in for. Service: pretty chill people, and consistent with bringing out coals and checking on you if you need anything else, they also provide mouth pieces. decor: huge windows that are tinted, you walk into a small intro, the Main room is pretty spacious slightly bright compared to other hookah lounges ive attended, plasmas on the walls, couch and tables for seating. and of course Black lights to make you Glow! The hookah flavors i chose are usually Fumari Brand, because aside from my top 3 brands of tobacco... Fumari is the 2nd that they offer aside from the other brands that aren't so great to me in my opinion. *(yes, im a Hookah Snob) Great for groups, or for people who want to just hangout and talk... or to just kill time and get out of the house! plus it closes at 2am and that is actually a surprise for uptown whittier! Be sure to check In and use the 15% off. it helps! and Try the ICE TIP if you want to be Fancy about it.

I used to go to this hookah lounge a lot a few years ago. I really liked their brain freeze mix.. I went a couple weeks ago and the lounge looks great. Confy sofas the employees are friendly and the mixes taste great. I would recommend this lounge to anyone looking for one near whittier.

I live pretty far away but I still make the drive out to this hookah lounge because the service is the best. Sam especially is very helpful she recommends flavors all the time and is super attentive to make sure I have the best time possible. Definitely my favorite spot.

Very melow. Not a turn up spot. You will catch single students doing homework here on weekday nights. Very dark. The mood makes you want to fall asleep.

Christmas is a wonderful time to spend with family but sometimes you do have to also relax with your friends. Just off work and we decided to try to see if any Hookah places were open and guess what this store was! We have never been here before and we wanted to try this place out. They were open like any normal business day which was great because many others were not. When we entered a nice lady greeted us at the front and checked our ID's. After that was done we picked our own spot to hang out in and pretty much this place was busy. Ended up getting the coconut and some type of berry mixed together. Service was on top of it, we were asked many times how we were doing and if we needed anything. They also gave us coals and replaced our old ones when we didn't even have to ask. I would say this is one of the coolest places to smoke hookah at. But the only little negative thing is they play the music super duper loud and it can be semi annoying when you are trying to chat with your friends. But still the music that they were playing was fine also just wish it was a little bit lower. Still had a wonderful time in Whittier and yes I noticed that every time we end up in Whittier it seems always fun and different.

Just walked in 40 minutes ago. Was sat down and wasn't attended . I had to walk up to the counter and order because no one was attending us. So i ordered and went to sit down. Saw a couple walk in a few minutes after i ordered. They sat and got their hookah before i did and i was there before them. I just walked out. Enough said about the service. This is the intial place I started smoking hookah. They have a good variety of flavors. The prices are fair and they offer good discounts from time to time. I miss the old set up though, they used to have comfortable couches, but now they have smaller ones that arent too comfy, I guess to maximize space. They also have a pool table, but its too damn expensive. Sometimes I get lucky enough to miss the DJ, who plays whack music. I like it more settle and I love to smoke to calm tunes which they will have every once in a while. The environment is chill the way I like it, so I recommend this place to smoke, except for the days the DJ is there, unless you're into stupid mainstream crap.

Great service and a really nice atmosphere. Everything was calm and personal and the individual seating sections were amazing. They have ice tips and you get a free one with the $24 package. They also offer a 15% discount if you check in with Yelp, which helps. Great music was played the entire time and the genre only changed right when we were about to leave. You have to pay for a refill if you stay after an hour and a half, but that's fair. It was a great first hookah lounge experience, in my opinion.

Had a great experience this past Saturday at Falak Hookah Lounge. The place was packed with fun customers and the atmosphere was perfect. With all the customers I was truly impressed with the staff and their ability to keep up with the demand. They were courteous and made my experience enjoyable, especially the blonde..can't remember her name but she did a great job and was very friendly to me and my friends. Definitely will return again!

I've been here several times all of which were bad experiences. The hookah itself is fine but the atmosphere is not that great it is very hot and humid seems like your in a sweat room, the seats are very low, and it seems that they only have one attendant so if you want a water good luck!! On top of that the music wasn't that great. When we go to hookah's, we go to relax and the music was anything but relaxing. On a different occasion we were asked to move from our table to accommodate another group. Very poor service there.

A decent hookah place ... and I think the only one in the Whittier area. It's not really visible from the street, you have to go through a complex sorta thing to get to it, but the atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. The hookah itself is ok ... they don't have a huge flavor selection, but they have most of the basic stuff.

Walked in and couldn't help but feel like I was at a high school kick back. It was a plain setting with a few TVs on the wall and a random painting of a horse running. I couldn't help but watch the people around me act like they were high off hookah. People are funny, but anyhow back to the review. The prices are reasonable and they have a large menu of flavors. They charge by pairs so if you're a group of three then it's just an extra $5 for the third person. There is always someone who is checking on your coal which I thought was nice. There was decent music. I used my yelp offer for this place, it came in handy :)

Atmosphere was great very chill and mellow, I would highly recommend getting an ice tip, it makes the hit really smooth. Staff was great and friendly. We were really taken care of by crystal, she was awesome!

Seems like someone owns this hookah joint but knows nothing about hookahs. I couldn't get a hit. I kept trying to clear out the bowl myself by blowing thru the bottom of the bowl, & air was getting in the hose connection. Something they should be doing themselves before handing it off to the customer- make sure the hookah is smoking properly. The girl kept coming around to replace the fresh coals, but put the old coals on the ashtray part- I've never seen a hookah lounge do that before, so we had about 8 coals sitting in our ash tray still lit. Super odd that there's no waitress coming around taking drink orders. Credit machine was down as well, cash only. Dj was spinning, cool lights. Bathrooms looked updated. Mostly highschool/18 year olds.

Half of this place is a lounge atmosphere, and the other side is just tables and chairs, definitely not loungy at all. I stopped by on a Sunday evening with a friend who rants and raves about her hookah lounge near her home. The staff there is pretty friendly and very knowledgeable about their hookah. Our server, Samantha, was very helpful, courteous and definitely knows her hookah. I asked questions and she had answers. I'm definitely looking forward to another trip to Falak. Cool lounge. This place is not in eye sight, I could imagine it being tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area. Location is huge, there are a lot of tables and couches. They have a pool table for large groups. Restrooms are clean, the staff is basic. Nothing special, flavors are like other places. Prices are decent.

So to keep it short & sweet. Tuesdays are movie nights so it's a good night to relax & hang out with friends! I love that this hookah bar is local (Whittier is a little LESS boring). I don't know what night, but I like when they have a DJ(really good music, surprisingly) & the nights where they have live music (acoustic). I would say, the only negative thing is that when they get super busy it takes awhile to get more coals for your hookah because they're heating them. But the hookahs great! Try getting Sunkist & a little extra tobacco at the base, choose 3 kickass flavors like melon, mango, & pineapple, & then top it off with an ice tip! You will love it! If not, their specialty flavors like sweet clouds & endless sensations are good too! In addition, any night that Samantha is working you don't have to worry about anything!! She is the best server there!

Now let me start by saying this... This is typically my favorite Hookah bar out of all the places in the US I have traveled to. Their hookah is typically superior to anything else out there, they take time with it, the couches are comfortable and typically it is very laid back with awesome music. The DJ on fridays is very good, and mixes alot of styles that had me and my friends nodding our heads to the beat as we smoked. I have sent many friends here recently.. I have personally been here 6 times in the last month alone, usually on tues or thurs.. HOWEVER, the last time I went was on a friday and the staff was a bit short and wouldnt allow my group of six (met 3 friends who were there already so we decided to all sit together) to sit at the couches even though one of them had back issues which I expressed, and even though our groups came separately, and each of us had bought a Yelp voucher, they wouldnt allow us to use both because we sat together in the venue and talked, so i ended up paying double for what should have been the $20 value of their voucher so I am slightly annoyed at that, but ill consider going back after some time passes. Id say go but go on a tues when the staff is a little nicer and more personable than on a friday!

So I only go to Hookah lounges every so often, but so far here I've found nothing to complain about. I've been in a few times and it ranges from very busy to very relaxed. They always have good music playing and something to look at on tv. The service has been great as well. The last time I went was during happy hour last Friday and my total came to around $10. Not bad! My server was Samantha and she was very friendly. Always had a smile on her face, suggested different flavors of hookah, and made sure I had a drink and was having a good time. Definitely made me want to come back.

I've been going to falak since they opened, like on a once a week basis. Last couple of months the service didn't seem up to par with what it normally used to be but the last couple times it's been feeling like the old falak. Service is great again, hookahs taste great (personal favorite has always been brain freeze) and feel like a regular again. Props to crystal, she's an on point employee! never even have to go hunt her down when I want another drink or need coals. It's hard to go try other lounges when there's one that stands above the rest

Okay, let me start by saying the hookah here really is some of the best hookah I've had in Southern California. Ask for grape/pomegranate and you won't regret it. What I'm mad about, though, is the fact that I bought the Yelp deal while I was there, and the dumb waitress girl screwed it up. I guess she redeemed it on my phone, but she didn't put it on my tab and then when they tried to put the code in again it said it had already been redeemed. I told them can I just have a discount of $8 and they said no, after I pulled the code up and showed them my online bank statement showing $12 had just come out of my acct for Yelp that same day. They were going to make me come back like a week later (???) to speak to the owner, and it was only $12 and I wasn't trying to go through all that hassle. The workers are dumb high schoolers it seems like, and the people that patronize the place on weekends seem like kids that are too young to go to bars so they end up faded at Falak. Oh, and some idiot kid invariably carries the hookah to the pool tables and breaks the hookah and htere's drama. But seriously, guys...no joke when I say this place's hookah is legit.

I go to many differnt hookah lounges all the time and am always willing to try to venues; Falak takes the cake! I am defifnitely coming here more often. The workers are super attentive and know their menu very well. I didn't even have to worry about my coals they were on top of everything.

The hookah quality was great. The people there are very nice and come around often. Also you can judge the place by their bathroom. Most hookah lounge bathrooms are so badly kept but even the bathroom was neat & clean. Shows the care they put into everything. UPDATE: I've been back a few times since I wrote the above & the quality hasn't changed in the least. We did try the "steam stones" which were not good at all. I also had a small problem with my hookah. Yet when we addressed this to the hostess, she took care of us and was super helpful and didn't give us any problems. I stand my by review of 5 stars!

This is by far my FAVORITE hookah lounge. Their service is great. The waitresses there are very nice. They check on you all the time. The prices are inexpensive, There not over priced. They have djs on the weekends and the djs are amazing! They play different music. Never the same song over and over. It has great vibes in there, they always have a pool table. Its my friends and I spot for the weekend. Everyone needs to try this place, you won't regret it!

Worst experience I ever had other than my past experiences at this place. I ordered double apple & rose, but all I taste is rose & that's not the 1st time I order that (I ordered that mix from different hookah lounges & they didn't taste that bad at all except this hookah lounge which I think the person preparing my hookah didn't understand the portions I wanted). They open at 5 PM & that guy doesn't let me in until 5 mins after 5 PM. So, It's only 5 minutes after which is no big deal to me. I go in there & wait 30 minutes to get my order taken & 15 minutes to get my order. Now my order didn't meet my expectations & I was waiting to get my right order. I always loved this place but unfortunately Im not going to visit this location anymore because of that one bad experience.

I've been to nearly every hookah lounge in the SGV and North OC and this place ranks among the best. The prices are very reasonable and the selection of brands and flavors are superb. Most importantly, their craft in preparing, which makes or breaks the experience, is fantastic. They use good quality pipes and hoses and use coconut wood coals (in my opinion the best kind of coals to use). I've never had a bad experience and I am a regular to the lounge. My only knock is for those who are traditional hookah smokers, tea is not available yet but I've been told its coming. The staff is always timely and makes sure to change your coals frequently and without you having to ask. Overall great service, good prices, good location.

Great new hookah lounge! It's a little bit hidden behind some other shops, but easier enough to find without too much of a problem. We got hookahs for $10 each (great deal!), tried the 69 something or other and the white peach. I liked the white peach better because it was a subtler flavor. They don't have beers or real food, but they let us bring our own food in, which I really appreciated. We ordered a pomegranate green tea which was really amazing and to die for. Staff was friendly, upbeat, and fantastic. I dig this place! Much better option than some other choices that have been in uptown down th in my opinion.

Best hookah I've ever smoked. They have happy hour Monday (all day). Chill and relaxing atmosphere. There's a bar right next door. They always have music playing and at just the right level of noise and they have a pool table. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the service. It starts out great but after a while they could forget if you ordered something and sometimes you have to get up and hunt them down. Overall, I found my new hookah spot.

Nice little hookah lounge with some nice mood lighting and comfortable chairs/couches to sit on and chill. Great little lounge place to just kick back with friends and talk while enjoying the smoke from a hookah pipe. Pretty decent variety of hookah flavors from basic flavors to special house blends that come in a fruit bowl to add more flavor/last longer. My only complaint is that there's not much on the menu apart from hookah - they do have beverages like Coca-Cola and water, but that's about it. They said they're cool if you wanna bring outside food or snacks or whatnot; but would be cool if they added some eateries on their menu.

Pretty cool place to come and chill with your friends. They check your ID when you enter so have it ready! =) They have televisions to watch the big games and stuff. Plenty of tables and places to sit and do your thing. Music is by a DJ and its super loud, you have to kind of sit next to each other to hear each other talk or just talk loudly too. The lounge was cool. Decent prices. It is kind of hidden like previous others have said. Parking is free but may be hard to find due to it being in uptown Whittier. The only thing I didn't like was that the yelp "$12 for $20" deal was only for the actual hookah and not the drinks.

I really like this place, its pretty chill my server was Sayra ( I think thats how you spell her name). I believe she said she's the manager. Well she did a fantastic job helping me choose a flavor because Im so picky lol. Plus she came around and checked if I liked it too :) and also she asked all the groups around me. The Hookah was really good and smooth. It was my first time and wont be my last I will definitely be coming back :)

The people that work here are very personable and they have have great customer service. They constantly made sure our coals were fresh and came around regularly asking if we needed anything. It's a great place to hang out with friends. The live DJ they have is really good too....made me want dance so bad. All in all, I had a good time here and I would go back to try more flavors. They have a great flavor selection.

cool place to hang with your friends. went on a friday night and it wasn't too packed. the price is almost free, especially if you use the check-in special. music was okay too. have to pay for water which is a bummer. would be a much better place if they served alcohol, just saying.

Place is clean and staff very attentive. The prices are reasonalbe and there's tons of variety of flavors to chose from. Only complaint I have is that the tabacoo isn't as strong as other hookah places that I have been too. Not sure if it's because the crowd seemed a little younger than what I am used too or I am a just degenerate, but that's the only bad thing about this place. Would definitely go back!

Honestly, I don't know why there are so many great reviews. Maybe I just went on a bad day. First of all, they were out of fruit heads, which is mainly why I went. I even called before hand. Second of all, they packed the head poorly, which can happen and is an honest mistake but I had two small coals on the bowl for the first twenty minutes that I smoked. I enjoy those coals usually, but for some reason the tobacco tasted burnt and I had to go ask for more coals. Maybe it was an off day, but I won't be going back.

I came to Falak a while back with my boyfriend and we used the $12 for twenty deal. The only problem was you had to use the whole $20, which inevitably lead us to go over the $20, costing us more than the $12 we would have spent for a single hookah. But it's good if you want to buy a beverage. We were excited to have found a spot near our home for so cheap, although the service was a little slow. Fast forward a month or two and we are hanging with some friends in Weho and hookah comes up, and we're like "HEY, instead of spending $50 bucks on hookah, lets go to this place in Whittier". Well, egg on my face! We must have been there close to an hour, and they took FOREVER to take our orders before the place even filled up. We asked for the ice pieces, but their ice machine was broken...forgivable. Once our hookahs arrived they gave us two wimpy-ass coals. I heard the girl say she had more "coals on the stove" to the group next to us as if they had a shortage of usable hot coals at the moment. The smoke wasn't really coming out since we didn't have that much coal, and what we did have quickly began burning out. My boyfriend asked them to please give us more coals, and they came a while later, and replaced ONE of our two coals, leaving the other. I'm no hookah expert, but at least blow a little smoke up my butt and pretend. All other places I have been to give you at three big coals. So to sum of my experience, it is cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I had decided to finally try a hookah lounge since I've heard so much about them and went to Falak. The lady that helped me was extremely helpful, and made my first time trying hookah comfortable and enjoyable. She was extremely patient with all of my questions and helped me through the entire evening. Also, the prices are not bad at all. I chose Falak based on its high rating and was definitely right in doing so. I will definitely be coming back here. It has a great vibe, and to me is a great place to meet up with friends and hang out. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because it was my first time at a hookah lounge, therefore I can't compare it to any others. Although it is the only one I've been to, I have a strong feeling it is one of the best places around to go to.

Been to this Lounge twice already and the service has been great each time. Very friendly staff which is a plus cuz ive been to a few places and ran into snobs. The hookah is not only at a very good price its rly good too! Ive tried the basic flavors theyre pretty good but i reccomend the specialty blends specifically Brain Freeze its cool and refreshing (i dont rly like heavy thick flavors). The lounge itself is very comfy with couches and chairs at tables. They have a few flat screens playing espn and music videos also there is good music being played. I will definitley be coming here again A++ to this place!

I absolutely love this place! I've been to quite a few hookah lounges and this one has by far the best hookah I've had. They've got tons of options and reasonable prices. I literally come here about once a week. Doesn't break the bank! They have apple and orange fruit bowls I'm eager try. You can tell they don't jip you on the hookah cause they always last forever but even then the refills are super cheap so go ahead and get one or FIVE, the staff if so friendly they don't seem to mind you hanging around for hours (which i do ha!). They're super attentive which I appreciate. The DJ is ridiculously good! He's got thekg room ready to dance up a storm. Oh, the space! It's a couple of pretty big rooms with a bunch of TV's and the worlds most comfortable couches! I swear I could fall asleep on those things. Falak has never let me down so give it go! Almost forgot, they've even got a pool table!
