Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Yum! Delicious food and way better than Chipotle! I also like that there is no extra charge for premium items added. Try the food, your taste buds will thank you.

Very friendly, super fast burritos custom made right in front of you, don't go crazy on the salsa because everything is very well seasoned already... Especially the cheese sauce...
(5)Michaela B.
This place is pretty good. Very similar to Chipotle. The only big difference in my opinion is that they have different melted cheeses. Mind you, the cheeses are delicious!! I got the Taco Salad, which tasted pretty good. Only thing was that the taco bowl/shell was a little stale to me.
(4)Susan S.
Decent quality of food. Very similar to Cafe Rio. Friendly staff except for the girl with purple hair! Hope she reads this so she can adjust her attitude...just sayin'! P.S. The purple-haired girl is only friendly with white people!
(2)Jeffrey V.
This place is way better than chipotle. I wish there was one closer to where I live. Drove 30 minutes out for this and I would do it again and again. They had a buy one get one free offer. The best part is that the guac came with no extra charge and is still very cheap. The variety of cheese options is great as well. Whichever cheese you choose you will not be disappointed. The bathrooms are decently clean. The soda machine is like magic. I only got water but mistakenly gotten soda water which tasted horrible. Overall a really nice llace
(5)Adrian D.
Horrible food not sure how finished my Burrito the Chips are worse than you would buy over the counter at your local super Market. If you haven't been here before please don't waste your time. Give a big 0 stars.

So my first impression wen I walked into this establishment was of the manager walking around the restaurant speaking to clients asking if their meal was good. This really impressed me because that kind of customer service is hard to find nowadays. The restaurant is well stocked and clean, the restrooms are acceptable (refer to my previous review for a horror story). At checkout the manager was engaging in conversation an was friendly and courteous. So this place has excellent customer service. Now, the food. The prices are great, the portions are good ( I did not feel ripped off). And the ingredients were fresh and containers were even dated, food safety is good. And lastly and very crucial to this review: the food was delicious.

Went with my parents last Saturday. The girl with the PURPLE hair is very unprofessional and should not be working with Customers. She had a bad attitude when we placed our ordert. My mother asked for grilled veggies which had to be made fresh and another co-worker asked what she was waiting for and Purple Hair said "she asked 15 times for grilled veggies". I looked at her and said "Only 15 times?" She wouldn't even look at me. I used to like Qdoba but will not return to this location! Perhaps in the employees handbook you should have a dress code. Hopefully the Manager can step up or the Owner and train the employees!!!
(1)Janis L.
My kids and I love to eat here. The staff is very friendly and food is great. It is similar to Chipotle and to me and my kids it tastes the same.....except the brown rice.......it's not cilantro lime here.
(5)Richard E.
Food was good. Female Rep on the other hand was weird. Not friendly and socially awkward towards me. It was my 1st time eating at Qdoba and her unfriendly attitude made it my last time eating here just this location. I just have it in for people who are not into their job. You can't bum people out because your bummed out yourself IMO. Any kind of Customer Service requires you to be somewhat enthusiastic, socially interactive and not some cooz who's just trying to make a paycheck and if your the type who loathes talking to strangers than I think it's best you don't get into that kind of business in the 1st place. Instead of trying to explain the concept of Qdoba she saved herself some time of trying to engage in a person to person communication by saying Qdoba was like a Mexican subway. she didn't really go over the menu options like what else they have besides burritos which was all I thought they served until after i ate i saw they had more items on the menu. She just seemed not to be very helpful and came off crass. I thought she was racist that's how stand off-ish she seemed. I don't stress enough how much presentation of oneself is. It's vital to any business. Bottom line she is terrible at her job and the only interaction she needs is with a Mop and Bucket unless the mop and Bucket write a bad review of how she handled them.
(1)Steve K.
I'm a Chipotle loyalist, but I'll frequent Qdoba from time to time. First off, the guac is not extra here, which is a huge plus. Though the food is slightly more pricy here, they do offer a little more variety here (e.g. wheat tortillas, nachos, queso, etc.). Though I'm not the biggest fan of it being in my burritos, the queso (the Tex-Mex stuff, not just cheese) is pretty good and unique to Qdoba. It's great on nachos. The service isn't the greatest at times, but as long as my food tastes good, I couldn't care less.
(4)Penelope B.
The food is ok,since there isn't a nearby Chipotle,.....yet. That said, there is absolutely no reason to come here once Chipotle opens. What i absolutely disliked about this place is the staff. Lazy is the best way to describe them. I asked for the grilled bell peppers and onions, on 2 separate occasions. Both times i got an Eye roll and,"well we have to grill them." Duh.Once they stop frowning, they'll open their prepackaged mix onto a skillet. Where you better be ready to remind them to not let it burn. If you come here, the highlight is the futuristic soda fountain with infinite soda flavor combos.Sorry guys.
(2)Marina G.
Excellent service! There's a Chipotle nearby but I decided to give this place a try in hopes that they had soup. To my surprise they did! The food was very good but the service was outstanding.
(5)Zach H.
Phenomenal food. I live in Ventura County and my best friend owns a vacation home in Lake Arrowhead, and being the Doba fans we are, we always make sure to stop at this one (only one we're ever near because the ones in our town were shut down). It's fairly expensive but it's a ton of food and extras (guacamole, queso sauce, etc) are included, different from other similar restaurants. We told the manager that we love qdoba so much that we make it a habit to stop by every time we pass by. He gave us free drinks and they have the coolest drink machine. I love the service and food at qdoba. Make sure to give this place a try!
(5)Jade V.
My first time here and I get a free drink (woohoo), compliments from Qdoba for working at the hospital!! I thought that was pretty nice! Thanks Qdoba! :) The staff was really nice. The place was clean. I got their 3 tacos with ground beef. It tasted good, but I probably won't get it with ground beef again because the fat from the beef started to harden and you can see it all over the plate. Kind of gross.. If I eat here again, I may try it with chicken next time, much healthier probably, but we'll see? This place is set up like Chipotle, where you get in line, order a meal, choose the type of meat (or no meat) and toppings (sauce, lettuce, cheese, salsa, corn, avocado) and then you pay at the end of the line. They also sell chips and salsa. Then you seat yourself. This place is kind of hidden. It's in the Albertson's shopping center next to Golden Spoon. Not sure this is a place I would personally crave, but if my coworkers want to eat here again, I'll try something without the ground beef. I don't recommend the ground beef unless you want clogged arteries. Other than seeing the fat from the ground beef, the food was pretty good, the place is clean and the staff was pretty nice!
(3)Sheila S.
My family stopped in to Qdoba for a meal after getting our Christmas tree. Had my usual chicken quesadillas which I LOVE. We missed seeing Roxie, our favorite waitress who's super nice and friendly! We love all the food here!! Highly recommend!
(5)Brad F.
Why are these places disappearing? I love Qdoba. This location is just as good as any other I have been to. Food is great good prices and best soup around.
(5)Daniel L.
Love this place I come at least twice a month.
(5)Brandon M.
I love this place! Their queso is to die for. The blonde girls working were very welcoming and always are. Food is great and clean lobby. People always compare it to Chipotle but in my opinion, there is no comparison, Qdoba wins every time!
(5)Sofia A.
I agree about the comments about the purple hair. She is extremely rude. The food is good. I didn't appreciate when I asked for a mango salad that instead of telling me that it was not yet available, the girl just made the salad without first stating that mango was unavailable. I found that unprofessional.
(3)Emily H.
Food was honestly flavorless other than the orange rice, leaving a gross after taste. Not to mention, they were out of 3/4 of their fountain drinks and didn't give us a refund for the drink we purchased.
(1)Chanese H.
This is my second time here and I must say I'm becoming more and more of a fan of this place. I always get the pick two. Nachos and a quesadilla. For me its a lot of food but its worth it. Its not big portions but it fills me up. The first time I came here the girl that helped me was so friendly and made it easy to pick something. But this time around some of the employees seemed confused as if they had no idea what they were doing and the other two looked like they did not care to help you. Had a whole conversation as if they had absolutely no customers. One of the girls even made a customers burrito wrong, and her and the other girl just laughed about it. The food brings me back but the service could be better
(4)kristy g.
I use to love coming here for lunch but that girl with purple-pink hair is rude. No smile or welcome. I was looking ar menu and she asks rudely if i was going to order any time some. definitely doesn't want to work there. Makes me not want to go any more. I hate when she makes my burrito. :(
(2)Jessica V.
I love this place been coming here since it has opened! Decent wait time, food is 90% consistent. Price is decent!
(4)Larry H.
First time to Qdoba. My first reaction was 'what at a complete rip off of Chipotle'. The being said, the menu is larger, the selection is spot on, and the food is served warm where I always get cold food at Chipotle. The chips and salsa were good along with the Guacamole. Different type of cheeses were an added bonus. When you combine all the flavors of what is available, this place is a notch up on flavor. However, the service can be improved. I bit lazy and not truly attentive. If the food was not good, I would never come back. I will have to try another location to see if training is lacking or if it was just the Upland location. For the food, this place is absolutely worth trying. We had the salads with chicken and lots of veggies, the nachos, tacos and burrito. \all were very tasty.
(4)Dya N.
I live in Moreno valley and drive all the way to upland (because all of the other closer Qdobas were shut down). Still the best location I've visited
(5)Neal A.
Qdoba has been one of the original restuarant that has been open in the "colonies crossroads" in upland and the food is just awesome! I always get the naked burrito double rice- brown or white, double chicken w/ queso, pico de gallo, and cheese-- a mans bowl! I have seen all the good stuff that makes Qdoba different from chipotle from their "three cheese queso" to their mango salsa-- deeeeeliish! And their awesome fountain drink machine that has a grip a variety and flavors that will blow your mind!Other than their food the service is great! I don't know how it is with anyone else but having to come in the restaurant and having them call you by name makes me feel like they like serving you, especially when they know just what your gonna have. Take it from my review that this is the place you want to eat and drink with variety!
(5)Preston K.
Definitely the best taco i have ever had in my life. The way the tacos and salsa combine is orgasmic. Customer service was great! Cheaper than chipotgay
(5)Diane H.
I love this place too bad they closed alot down. Today I went food was good I missed eating there but the place was dirty the walls, food on the floor, tables not cleaned crew were to busy talking don't know if I would go back.
(2)Anonomyous A.
This location definitely deserves a review. Qdoba has amazing food and this location has an exceptional staff. I was served by the guy with the cool mustache and he def made my experience great!
(5)Allison M.
Very similar to Chipotle. We came here for lunch today and we each got bowls. Being a huge chipotle fan I was a bit skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken bowl I got for lunch. I tried their signature queso sauce on it, and it really made the bowl. Their salsas were pretty good as well. I will say that Chipotle still holds the key to my heart when it comes to places like this, but definitely not too shabby.
(4)Robert G.
Had an awesome experience. Great food!
(5)Will E.
Much better than Chipotle. Ground beef nachos, ground beef tacos and queso chicken burrito are my favorites. Was a 5 star review as you can see from my above comments, but changed to 2 stars because this place doesn't seem to know how to cook more than a half pound of ground beef. 2 of my 3 favorite dishes include this yet more often than not, this location is out of it. If they can't keep up with their demand, they should just close the doors. Chipotle would never let this happen.
(2)Nadine P.
Food tastes good. Service could be better. Charged different prices for same meal. A little frustrating. Was charged $2 extra for a tablespoon of salsa because the salsa made my meal no longer 'a la carte' sounds a bit silly to ask $2 more from me for a dab of salsa. Whomever serves during lunchtime tends to go skimpy on the portion sizes. This has happened each of the 3 times I've been there for lunch. My 'regular' bowl looked like a 'mini'..... Was not too thrilled about that.... On the plus side, this last time, because I said something they added extra rice and fajita w/o charge.
(3)Amanda V.
Love how you can get smaller portions of your fav foods when you can just pick one. Tortilla soup is ahhhh-mazing!!!!!!
(5)Allison Wonderland M.
What happened?! Inconsistent and rude service, food quality seems to have gone downhill...no more for us!
(1)Ellie A.
Stopped here with a coworker for the first time for a quick bite to eat. The young lady behind the counter was very informative and she explained the best options on the menu. We both went with the lunch special , I got the Mexican gumbo with shredded beef which was full of so much flavor and so filling!!! I also got 2 hard/soft shell tacos one with shredded pork the other with steak both equally satisfying...and since we were starving we got a decent size serving of chips and guacamole...also bomb!....I'm definitely returning and telling everyone!
(5)Lauren O.
Very delicious and affordable. I stopped going to this qdoba on campus because the service was AWFUL. But the people they have working there now are absolutely amazing. I have never been so impressed with any other service I have had. 5 stars for the food and 6 stars for the service
(5)Randy G.
The staff here is AMAZING The food here is EVEN better The options you get are the BEST By far the BEST Mexican food place I've ever been to. Started working in the colonies three months ago and since the first time I came here the staff is amazing along with the food and atmosphere. The staff here by far beats anyplace I've ever been to, I literally eat here twice to three times a day because the choices here are great, tasty, and healthy. I've lost weight since eating here and won't stop! Since the first time I ate here I loved the place and food I am a lifelong patron of qdoba now because of the staff and food here!!!
(5)John T.
Better chicken than Chipotle. Wish they were closer!
(5)Monica M.
At first, I thought Qdoba was a pseudo Chipotle, and it kind of is, but I feel like it has a few more tasty selections, sauce-wise. Service is friendly, portions are huge. I really like their burritos and salads. The queso is indeed tasty in the burrito, and the ranch sauce in the salads is tasty as well. I did notice that the taco shell in the salad is half the size it used to be, though.
(4)Klaudya G.
Omg this place has The best #1 Wet Burritos. My favorite is the Carne Asada Burritos with rice, beans, cheese, their juicy carne Asada, and their red sauce on top. Yummmm
(5)Dr. Tony R.
For a quick and tasty meal, this place has it down. Friendly staff that help you with you choices. I am an ice tea expert, and this store is excellent. If warm enough, patio sitting is a must. View of the mountains and Colonies water basin.
(5)Diko L.
Always get great service here! Best part is that they're NOT DEAF like their competitor's workers, I don't have to scream my choices to them over the glass food guard! The queso sauce is rich and amazing and will go with anything you put in your burrito. Ingredients are fresh and the pork carnitas are always juicy! Minus two stars because it's always freezing in there so it's uncomfy to dine in the location, and they never have plain rice ready when I order I always have to wait a minute or two. But love the taste!
(3)Apryl T.
It's basically just like eating at a Chipolte but not as good service wise. I personally don't think the meat served here is as good as Chipolte. But there is one thing food wise here I love and that is the queso!! The chips and queso are delicious. I've also had the quesadilla here before and that was simple and tasty. Other than that, the burritos and tacos lack flavor and they get really stingy with their portions! The staff is a bunch of teenagers who are not very polite. We sat down to eat in the restaurant and it was really hot, like extremely stuffy. It was already hot outside from 100 plus temps from summer, but to eat inside was awful. Then the staff talked very loudly about their personal business over everyone and sat down and lounged while we were eating. Also at the beverage station they ran out of iced tea, as I stood up to notify someone, a staff went over to get their own drink. They went to get iced tea and noticed that there wasn't any and decided to not prepare anymore and get something. The staff here doesn't care about customer service...thats for sure. I probably won't be back to this establishment.
(2)Shannon J.
Love this place! Fresh food, fresh distinctive salsas, friendly staff. I miss the one in Redlands that was near my work but I'm super duper glad that there is still one by my house! Way better than Chipotle no contest.
(5)M.E. C.
Best staff ever. They are talkative, engage with the customers, and treat you like you're making a difference in their day. I have been coming here for years and I have NEVER been treated poorly. The food: it's basically the same thing as Chipotle with a few differences: *Queso sauce. This is half the reason I come here. At both Qdoba and Chipotle you can get salsa in your burrito, but this business offers Queso (cheese) sauce you can put in and right now they have a special where if you say "QUESOFY MY BURRITO!" you get the sauce for free (otherwise it's like .75 to a dollar, but WELL WORTH IT). They offer free sodas to students! Um, yes please They accepted my year long expired coupon from yelp, and my girlfriend's! Now that's great customer service if I ever saw it. They have tv and usually have sports on. Want to watch the game but don't want to spend a ton of money at a sports bar? QDOBA ALL THE WAY! This place is always spotless. I've never seen a fly in here, and I can honestly say that with burritos being an occasional drip on the table, it's pretty impressive. I gave these guys 5/5 stars for everything: food, atmosphere, customer service, and prices. This place is well worth your time if you're hungry and on a lunch break. There is only one thing I would like to see in this place: a burrito mascot. good luck and may the fork be with you!
(5)Nik B.
This place is awesome! Food is amazing but sometimes the workers can be moody. The manager is great and he always packs my burrito, some of the workers go skimp sometimes. All in all a great place to eat!
(4)Sparky H.
A ripoff of Chipotle, which in turn is a Mexicanized ripoff of Subway. In other words, it's Mexican food prepared on an assembly line. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it's nothing to go out of your way for. And since the price ended up being higher than for the same thing at Chipotle, I'd rather go to Chipotle.
(4)Christina L.
This location is soooo great!! They are so nice clean and woooooonderful to my 1 year old. They even know she won't talk to them until after she eats!!! The employees bring a high chair for me and they help me with all my stuff!! They're the best...I'll gladly come to this location all the time!! They set the bar pretty high! Management should be very proud!! The mon-fri lunch staff is ammmmaaaaze!!!!!!
(5)Kevin T.
It dissapoints me to right such a negative review for a new business in the area, but they need to get their act together, ASAP Here is my review after realizing this place made me sick: My friend and I both ate here for lunch one day, the staff are mostly teenage kids with no care for what they are doing. I suspect unsanitary food handling practices going on, and the soda machine leaks. Anyways, we both felt dizzy and light-headed maybe 5 hours after eating here. --- Here is my review right after eating here: As in other reviews, this place is very similar to chipotle. My veggie burrito tasteful almost exactly like a chipotle burrito! Although, the burrito was very watery, the person making if didn't let the salsa drain when in the spoon (mild salsa, the one with mostly tomatoes). This is the only gripe have about this place. The dining area is much better than chipotle's, because this place actually has a ceiling, so its not really loud and chaotic.
(1)Jay A.
Staff was awesome and made me feel that my business was appreciated. My food was delicious the facility was clean and I enjoyed my lunch.
(5)David P.
the servers are rude, the kitchen area looks filthy, trying to duplicate Chipotle by adding lime to everything they have killed the flavor to all their food. the dining room area looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a week. Paying a dollar 75 more for the same thing I order at Chipotle, is not worth it. I'd rather drive the extra 5 minutes
(1)Shogun L.
I have been here about 3 times now and everything has been great. I always get the Ancho BBQ burrito and it is one fat burrito. The employees have always been nice as well. Plus they have the soda machine that has a ton of combinations. You can feed two adults for about $15-$20. That's not too shabby.
(5)Steve P.
Not bad. It's a Chipotle knockoff, unfortunately I would prefer Chipotle. Meat seemed to have more seasoning, but not the same grilled flavor. Rice was not as flavorful as I would have liked. I got a chicken burrito, wheat tortilla, black beans. I got their hottest hot sauce, wasn't super hot but had a very good flavor. There was a lot going on with that. I would return for that sauce, but if I had to choose, I would still go out of my way to go to chipotle instead of here. Customer service was very good, place was clean, decent decor. When I arrived it was crowded, when I was done eating the lunch rush had died down and the guy who made my burrito cleaned tables and asked everyone how the food was, anything he could do. I like that. I added a star for that.
(4)Michael K.
I dunno guys.......6 tacos, and a flat iron steak burrito....almost, damn near, close to 25.00! Although fresh prepared right before your eyes, a little to salty, and soggy..guess that's why the soda machine is right out front? friendly staff, but I considered poor value...so guess I'm driving the extra mile back to La Paloma. I am not impressed, sorry.
(2)Brenda T.
Their burritos are okay. I haven't tried Chipotle so can't compare. Say No to signature sauces and avocadoes if you don't want to pay the extra costs. We ordered a regular beef and chicken burrito but server asked if we wanted all these extra sauces/condiments w/o telling us that there are additional costs until they ring everything up at the end. That to me is misleading and lack of business ethics. If we ordered a regular burrito, we really mean to order a regular burrito. Don't ask us for extra unnecessary sauces w/o being upfront about extra costs.
(1)Lourdes P.
I had a great lunch at Qdoba Mexican Grill my chicken burrito was amazing good the queso sauce is so delicious. the staff is very nice when you walk in to the restaurant.
(5)Rachel S.
In 1 word...YUM! I've tried nearly everything on the menu and have yet to taste something bad. Qdoba is similar to Chipotle but better! They feature a larger menu, a much more inviting dining room & a relaxing outdoor patio area. Perfect for a quick lunch or a kick-back dinner. The queso has got to be my ultimate favorite! I crave it sometimes and usually have it added to my food! My go-to menu item is the naked queso burrito...deeelish!! My kids also love the kid's menu selections and usually clear their plates! The ultimate testimony comes from my sister, who lives in Texas. Everytime she visits California I have to take her to Qdoba for the mexican gumbo. It's very hearty and full of flavor! This is a must-visit when you're in the area.
(5)Kathy A.
So I enjoy eating the food from Qdoba. The portions are large and the staff is friendly. It can be a little pricy if I take the whole family but it is worth it. The food it is fresh and tasty and you can actually see them putting your meal together. I had decided to throw a party at my home and decided to order from Qdoba's catering since the food has always been good when I dine in. I had fifty people at my party. I ordered the Naked Burrito Bar with a side of veggies and some Queso as well. Qdoba brought the food on time and it was fresh and tasted as good as it normally does. There was more than enough food for everyone. I was surprised it was so good because it was the first time ordering from the catering menu so I really didn't know what to expect. The food, especially the grilled veggies were a hit. Who knew so many people love veggies. The only thing that went wrong was the price I paid was not what I was quoted. I used a Living Social coupon which apparently threw everything off. Also when my food was delivered they forgot my Queso which I ordered. I called the manager Joshua who sent someone out fast to deliver it, so everything turned out fine. Joshua took care of everything and fixed it. It is far and few when I see restaurants or managers that actually care. I will definitely order again from Qdoba for my next party!
(5)Josh P.
Qdoba beats Chipotle hands down! Everything here is amazing! My standard is the grilled chicken burrito with everything on it, add guac. Their chips and Queso are great as well!
(4)Teresa T.
The people that work here are so so nice. All of my young kids were courteous and respectful... I am not in love with the food but don't have anything "bad" to say. You have lots of healthy options here.
(3)Trent T.
Just underwhelming. Gotta compare it to chipotle and freebirds. This place is at the bottom for me, and not just this location. Portion is a lot smaller than the others, especially with the meat. Shredded beef is okay, but not as flavorful as other places. Service was so so. Didn't seem like they had a smooth process going. My buddy went back up to the counter after we sat down to get some salsa and they wanted to charge, really?
(2)Rolena I.
It took me a while to finally try this place. It's very similar to Chipotle, but I think Chipotle's burritos taste better. Qdoba has a bigger menu though. It's OK, not the worst, but definitely not the best.
(3)Forest S.
Quesadilla was great and service was friendly and fast!
(4)Chelsea P.
For a quick low fat option for lunch/dinner near Upland this is the place to go. It is similar to chipotle but they have many more options. I usually get the same thing everytime so I don't know how well the other food stacks up to the naked burritto (which is what I usually get). The pablano pesto naked burritto is really good, it comes with rice, beans, chicken, a pesto made out of pablano peppers and almonds which is amazing and not too spicy and your choice of toppings. Overall the quality is good and the service is quick.
(4)Jane D.
The nachos were so salty . I took about 3 bites before before throwing it in the trash where it belongs. Yuck !

Gross! Wilted lettuce, flavorless tomatoes, mediocre beans, bland salsa and reheated meat. This place sucks. It is NOTHING like Chipotle. It is a pale imitation of Chipotle. I was sick as a dog after eating here. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid!

I love this place... the burritos, the tacos, everything is good. They give you huge portions (so I would come here when you have extra calories to use up) and everything is fresh. One burrito can probably fill you up for the entire day.... so yummy! My personal fave is the vegetarian burrito and my husband always goes for the steak.

I absolutely love this place! This is where I come now, for Mexican fast food! I'm not a very big fan of Chipotle, and although Qdoba's model is fairly similar in the way that you pick everything you want in your burrito etc, their food is far, far better than Chipotle. Everything is fresh, their portions are huge!! My husband and I usually share a burrito and some chips and it's enough food for the both of us. My favorite is their Queso burrito, I usually get it with beef. It's so delicious. I also get a side of chips with Queso sauce for dipping ... technically you don't NEED anything else than the burrito, because of the amount of food, however I can't pass up the nachos & queso sauce. The staff is also friendly there, always upbeat & happy to help, it's clean & has a nice atmosphere. If you like Mexican food & you haven't tried Qdoba yet.... well, what are you waiting for? :P You will not be sorry you put Qdoba on your map of places to eat! :)

OK it s a franchise Mexican restaurant but its no Taco bell. I had Mom and Pop shops that don't even come close. Its very Chipotle like they basically Xerox the guide book and change the recipes. And for the good, i don't like Chipotle. (and most Mexican Food franchise) Look if you had a choice between this and most major fast food chains, it beats most of them hands down. Try it you will be surprise. Why only 3 stars, because it is a franchise.

My friend and I ended up eating here because everything else seems to close so bloody early in Upland, and we were right in the area. It's sort of odd. Whenever somebody comes up with a good idea, it gets copied fairly quickly. I'm not sure if Chipotle or Qdoba came first, but they're eerily similar. I was pretty happy with what I had, a chicken bowl of some kind. It had this really good BBQ sauce on it that was flavoured with chilis. However, my complaints were that the restaurant is sort of on the lonesome, and at nearly 10:00 it was scary to eat outside after the restaurant had closed. Plus, the chicken I had wasn't cut too great (I'm sort of picky about chicken having tendons and stuff still in them. I tend to go a couple bites and do just fine, and then all I can think about is chicken entrails.) Anyway, I was sort of disappointed with the chicken itself and the temperature (sort of warm as opposed to hot), which sort of concerns me in regards to food preparation safety. All in all, I would go back. I still prefer Chipotle, and I'm willing to give Qdoba another chance...but I recently discovered Chick-Fil-A, and it's right across the street with the same hours at Qdoba, so I guess it'll have to be on some other terms.

Would definitely eat here again. This was the first time eating at Qdoba and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and worth the price

This is my go to place for a quick lunch. The food is good and usually very fresh (I tend to get there during or after the lunch/diner rush). The portions are awesome. I've been to Chipotle, and this place might be a knock-off, but it is so much better.

My friend loves this place. I went there when they opened about 2 years ago and was unimpressed but she had a coupon for a salad so i thought i would try it again. Who knew a mango/chicken salad could be so salty. Unedible salty. Never again.......

Finally tried this place and it was pretty good. Staff is very helpful and makes you think they actually care about what they dish up to you, a la Chipolte style. Food all seems very fresh. Have been twice recently, and willntry something new next time. They have a frequent diners card which let's you rack up points that let you earn credit toward future visits. Also I received online offers for discounts after signing up for the diners card. Atmosphere is kind of Carls Jr-esk.

Nice location, clean, friendly staff. Had the vege burrito, which is custom made to the beans and fillings that you want. The quacamole was good but the chips were a bit too salty. Overall good quick lunch the way I wanted it. Good selection on kids menu. My son enjoyed his meal. The have a tv inside. The manager did courtesy rounds to make sure all was ok. Very friendly and hassle free place. Will go here again for sure.

This place reminds me a lot of Chipotle in terms of layout, but their menu is definitely more extensive. The food is good but in terms of being authentic Mexican, obviously you'd be better off going to a non-chain establishment. It's convenient that they're open late (until 10), and the outdoor seating is also nice as it provides a view of the San Gabriel Mountains, valley, and the nearby lake (when it's full).

I, along with the other yelpers, avoided this place a few times whenever I drove by. I saw the website once and it didn't appeal to me; it was a franchise store and it looked similar to Baja Fresh. But as I was reviewing my Entertainment Book, there was a coupon and i was a few shops over getting a massage. Oh heck, why not, it was buy 1 get 1 free and I wanted to have leftovers for tomorrow so I would have something to eat before I headed back to san diego. Not to digress, but I hopped on over and decided to order the chicken taco salad (dressing on the side) and the mexican chicken gumbo; both I asked for the spiciest salsa. Total price with coupon was under $7. When I got home, I nibbled on the gumbo (as this was for my meal tomorrow) and it was delicious! It had the right amount of spiciness, it was a good size portion, and it was very flavorful. Then I progressed to the salad. The taco shell was crunchy and not too heavy (although 400 calories). It featured lettuce, black beans, chicken, corn, red onion and a spicy mayo-type dressing which I enjoyed. Next time, I won't need a coupon to persuade me to go to Qdoba because the food speaks for itself :)

Queso burrito was great. The Yelp deal got me to try the Queso and it was worth it. I think half queso half bar-b-q is even better!

We where looking to try something different that we hadnt tried before and this wasnt it, even though we had never been here before. We walk in and the first thing i say to my wife is that it looks just like chipolete and what does the kid say when we get to the counter, basicly we are just like chipotle but more options. The kid behind the counter couldnt have been any nicer that is why im giving it 2 stars instead of one. I really dont like that they are trying to be like chipotle, try to be different and come up with something else or if your going to try to be like chopotle atleast make your menu not remind you of it when you walk thru the door. I dont care for chipotle either. Now i ordered the pesto something burrito. The rice wasnt cook all the way, both my wifes and mine where hard and made the burritos even worse. They also didnt have lettuce, they ran out. Thats one thing that is guarenteed to get low ratings, i should move it back down to a one star for that. I wont be back :-(

My husband and I were on our way back from visiting friends in Apple Valley and we decided to get on the 210 freeway instead of continuing on the 15 freeway, at first it was a mistake there was a fatal accident and traffic was jammed we got really hungry and crabby sitting in the traffic and decided to get off the freeway and find some good food to eat. Not familiar with the area at all, we have never been the ones who stop at fast food places we like to eat healthy and if we eat out we like it if the food is fresh not frozen. So we found Qdoba Mexican Grill. Just the photos in the window made me want to go in and at least try it. We both got the Chicken burrito with black beans, cilantro rice, cheese and avocado and a hot sauce inside. really good! the price was a little high but the burritos were giant! two people could actually split a burrito and maybe get a side of chips to share. We spent $20 dollars on our meal after drinks which I found a bit high but for fresh food that tastes good I will pay a higher price. It was one amazing burrito and we were starving!

While I usually avoid corporate mexican food, sometimes hunger forces me into weird decisions. Thus, one Wednesday night when I did not feel the desire to cook, and was too lazy to venture far, I trotted up to Qdoba. When I entered I was reminded of that other corporate burrito stand: Chipotle, a place that I kinda like...could it be that corporate America owns me? But I digress.....Upon entering one is greeted with several choices from burritos, tacos, salads, soup. I have tried the burriots and the soup, and they are both very good. The best part is one can request a particular ingredient...like more cheese, or more meat. The salsa, or chili, is typical American, that is to say not hot enough, but, they do offer bottles of Cholula and while this is not hot, it sure has a great taste. A cheese sauce is offered and it is very addicting. I really suggest the pork, carnitas, burrito, but one cannot go wrong with the shredded beef. And the soup? Not bad, not bad corporate America.

I love qdoba!!! The food is excellent and I also love the variety of sauces they have the QUESO is a must try! My 5 stars is solely on the food The workers on the other hand need some "how to work with customer classes" at least the girls do... The guy managers I'm assuming because they have different uniforms on are always talkative, friendly, and so nice! but some of the girls there need to be fired for their unfriendliness and attitudes... Just saying.. we can actually tell you hate your life and your jobget a new job if you hate working there so much
