Diabetics at Village Inn

Village Inn is a tough place for diabetics, and you must be extra cautious while ordering food at the Village Inn, especially if you're a diabetic. The food items low in sodium are high in sugar or cholesterol at Village Inn which makes it difficult for diabetics to choose the right food at the diner.

Foods to Avoid at Village Inn for Diabetics

Village Inn offers very few items edible for diabetics without any threat. You can avoid sandwiches and burgers at Village Inn and try the light breakfast items on the menu. You must also skip the shakes as well as other juices from the beverage menu. Almost all the dinner items on the menu are high in sodium except Grilled Tilapia and 6 oz. Top Sirloin & Toast. Avoid Soup bowls and opt for cups instead at Village Inn.

It's definitely not the most luxurious hotel - but it's a lot of bang for your buck. While the decor may be slightly dated...the room size, view, complimentary bottle of wine, jacuzzi tub and rad lady at the front desk made it well worth it. It's pretty centrally located, so you can easily shuttle over (we took an Uber) to any winery within the area at an affordable price. Definitely worth it and we'll likely be back!

I hovered back and forth between A-OK and Yay! I'm a fan. In a tie, the business wins. I liked the remote setting that was so close to the big El Lay. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large four poster king sized bed and a great view of the winery. A complimentary bottle of wine was en suite, and it was easily exchanged if it wasn't my type. Morning greeted me with the soft hush of hot air balloons floating around the valley. A nice complimentary omelet came along with good service on the veranda. This would make for a very nice and romantic getaway.

Inn @ Churon Winery made for an awesome getaway for the b'day! I found a deal through Travelzoo.com for $243 that offered 3 days and 2 nites, free mimosa included breakfast, a free bottle of wine along with 20% off of any bottle purchased. We had an awesome room with a private balcony that overlooked the vineyard which was awesome and was good for star watching @ night..actually saw a few shooting stars every nite. The room was a very nice size and came equipped with a fireplace, fridge which came in handy along with a jacuzzi in the very big bathroom that included 2 sinks. Complimentary tastings were in effect from 5-7 everyday for anyone staying at the hotel. Tastings took place downstairs below ground floor level and I had some really good wines...so good that I joined their wine club and got 40% off the first 2 bottles. Val was very good at helping us pick really good wines and walking me through what I get from being a club member. This place was definitely awesome and made for a great bday destination...I wanna go back!

I LOVE the Churon. It has a quaint, romantic, French villa style feel with all rooms having a private blacony facing the beautiful wine country of Temecula, with its rolling green vineyards. The service is exceptional. We LOVE the Chardonnay suite, which is their largest room with a very private balcony, a very large tub, and a gorgeous view. We love to try the wine tasting, and it is a good distance to Old Town, Carol's Restaurant, and Michael's Kitchen, which are great destination. The rooms have fireplaces, big tubs, beautiful comfy beds, clean facilities, fridge, coffee maker, and free bottle of wine from their grapes. No noise at all. Pro tip: sleep with the door and drapes open all night for maximum fresh air and catch a beautiful morning sunrise view with the fog! Pro tip #2: make sure you go to Old Town and eat out there!

I don't know what some of my fellow yelpers are yapping about, but The Inn at Churon Winery is blissfully amazing! I came to the winery about a month ago for my sister's 30th birthday. After tasting wines and buying bottles, I went ahead and signed up for the Wine Club. One of the benefits of the wine club is 50% off stay in The Inn. So since it was long overdue for some r&r, I figured it was the perfect time to book 2 nights stay at The Inn. Another bonus is a free room upgrade. So when I called and made reservations and told them I was a wine club member, I mentioned the free room upgrade. I was told that there weren't any suites available. Ok, no biggie. So when we get there, I was surprised that I was given a suite, the Zinfandel suite...that's what's up! Walked in the suite, and grinned from ear to ear. The room was spectacular! The room was large with a fireplace, nice size balcony, massive bathroom (jacuzzi tub, separate shower). It was so cozy and relaxing, and I slept like a baby. From the balcony, we had a view of the vineyard and the mountains. What a peaceful view! For breakfast, guests are given complimentary breakfast from 8am-10am. Its not continential breakfast, but don't expect to get full either. It was a nice gesture though. Another benefit of being a wine club member is complimentary wine tasting for me and 3 guests. Yep, took advantage of that. However, if you are not a member, there is complimentary wine tasting for guests from 5p-6p. The selection of wine samplings isn't as vast as the list thst id offered during "non-complimentary" hour. I experienced swiftness with checking in and out. I have nothing but great things to say about this place.

Fabulous spot - especially for the price. We called and talked to the inn keeper personally and got a screaming deal. I would definitely call rather than using an online booking site. I'm giving 5 stars as a combo of accommodation + affordability -- NOT because it was the most perfect experience or because it's the swankiest spot in wine country. I can't imagine you get more bang for your buck. Charming, clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds, welcoming innkeepers and wine and breakfast included??? Seriously, you could not beat this for less than 150 per night. The rooms are clean and very spacious - the bathrooms have two sinks and a nice bathtub too - very romantic although I came with some girlfriends and a 4 month old! Beds were super comfy and there was a wonderful balcony with a view of the vineyards. Awesome fireplace. Breakfast was included. They got way slammed so come a little early (or a little later but it's a small operation so they might run out of certain items). Feels very mom and pop-ish while still having most of the amenities (broken ice machine but brought as much ice as we needed to our room). The food was pretty yummy - I would have done with a more generous helping of the potatoes. And my food took forever but they gave me a free mimosa for the wait time. FREE WINE TASTING from 5-6. And by FREE WINE tasting I mean as much as you want. Seriously - that and breakfast? The room practically pays for itself. And like I said it's a dang nice room anyway. Another benefit - a ton of wineries are a stone's throw away, so you don't need to worry about drinking and driving. You might even be able to walk it (some around ~ .5 miles and you can literally see them from the property). I will for sure be staying here again the next time I am in Temecula.

Overall great place: would stay here again Pros: fireplace, jacuzzi tub, tv, coffee maker, fridge, private patio, comfy bed, clean, good breakfast (complimentary), friendly staff, complimentary wine tasting hour for guests. Cons: no pool, wine was a 4 (scale of 1-10), a/c (room 105) made an awful noise and phone didn't work. Suggestions: as I read other reviews I noticed a major complaint was that it's noisy if there's an event going on. Although this didn't happen to us (our stay was during the weekday) I can see that happening. The patio opens up to the beautiful vineyard grounds where they have weddings, concerts etc. it's literally steps away. I would suggest asking the Inn if they have any events going on prior to booking your room.

It was a basic room, decent bed, nice view. What was strange for us was that when we checked in and when we tried to call the front desk, there was no one to be found. It was like a ghost town. Our to go food did not include utensils, and because we couldnt find anyone around, we ate with our fingers. The happy hour was cheesy - a few slices of cheese from ralphs and some crackers you had to put on a small napkin. Disappointing. For the price we paid for the room - which seems that we way overpaid - it did not have the value. I should add this was for our anniversary so we we figured paying a little more would make for a nice stay - and we were unfortunately wrong.

The pictures of this charming B&B really do it no justice. We arrived at 1 and because it was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend there was no early check in but were offered to enjoy wine and sandwiches on the patio. The view from the patio is just gorgeous. We had a glass of Sangria (10 bucks and you get to keep the souvenir glass!) along w/the Grilled Tri-tip sandwich which is delicious and fresh made on the spot. Our room itself was clean and spacious, had a nice patio looking out into the vineyard, and even a working fireplace. The bathroom really stole the show though, it had to be as big as the rest of the room with an awesome jacuzzi tub, but you have to bring your own bubbles sorry folks. Free wine happy hour with very generous pours (even though the wine is not very good it's still nice), and a free FULL breakfast. None of that continental crap here, and the quality of food is very good which was a nice surprise to me. I expected Denny's quality since it was free. Only two cons: 1) No food options after 4pm so if you've got post winery tour hunger make sure you stop for dinner before coming back to the hotel. Rooms have a large fridge but no microwave to heat the food up in. 2) You can hear everyone's everything. At one point I was awoken by the above floor's jacuzzi filling up. The A/C also makes strange noises sometimes even if you turn it off. Even with those two things I definitely plan to stay here again in the future. It's a fabulous bang for your buck.

The Inn at Churon Winery is by far our little getaway every time we can, we enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony (very private by the way). Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is just the perfect amount! Love the lovely décor, perfect for romance and make your spouse or significant other make fall in love with you again and again If I can make some suggestions that would be to please change the color of the stairs that goes to the kitchen! it is an awful color and does not match the rest of the décor and have two persons at the bar. it would also be nice if you add a pool :-)

Pleasantly surprised by this little hotel! We arrived to live music on the patio. Great BBQ chicken sandwich. Buy two and you receive 50% off a bottle of wine. Great deal! So we enjoyed food, wine, and music with a beautiful view! We got to our room and there was a complimentary bottle of wine waiting. Room was cute and clean. Fireplace in the room and lovely balcony. Wish the room had robes...always a great amenity. Nice bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Shower a little small but was ok. The hotel also offers free wine tasting and a delicious breakfast with the rate. We will definitely stay here again.

Wife and I had our first getaway without our one year old, and we wanted to stay at the South Coast, but they were sold out. I found this place on hotels.com , read some reviews and went for it. We got in a little early so we headed to the tasting room and met Nikki. She was very welcoming and helpful, greeted us with a smile, and a great pour. We walked around the vineyard and took in the beautiful scenery. Ahhhhh. We picked up a bottle of Chardonnay and relaxed in the huge jacuzzi in the large beautiful bathroom. We then hit the complimentary tasting for hotel guests, with plans to head to dinner. We had some more terrific very generous pours. Dinner never happened, ordered from the Italian restaurant from the menu in the room. Finally, had a great complimentary breakfast this morning to wrap up a great get away. Thanks!

I stayed at the Inn at Churon Winery last week and contrary to some other Yelper reviews I had the most amazing stay and experienced WONDERFUL customer service! We were checked in quickly and promptly and our room was ready right away. We were told about the complimentary wine tasting and included morning breakfast. We went right to our room and it was gorgeous!!!! Amazing view from our private balcony, the room was spacious and very clean. It had a fireplace and big TV. The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi tub and separate sinks. (see photos) and our King size bed was plush and super comfy. The one and only complaint I had about the room was the water pressure in the shower. It is super weak I couldn't even rinse the conditioner from my hair. But it's an old building and I'm sure it has its quirks. Not a big deal. Once we were settled we took advantage of walking around the gorgeous property! It is truly stunning and you are right in the vineyard. We even plucked a few grapes right off the vine. This is how you want to stay in wine country! Not in some Hampton Inn, etc. This place has character, charm and breathtaking views. We then took advantage of the wine hour in their tasting room which is large and spacious. No problem getting a spot at the bar. Dani was doing the tasting and was very nice and knowledgeable about the wines and some of the sights and hot spots in Temecula. She even stayed a few minutes after closing to make sure we got to taste all the wines! It was awesome. The breakfast in the morning included 2 mimosas and can be enjoyed inside or out on the patio overlooking the vineyards. There weren't many choices, maybe 6 or so. I am a vegetarian and there wasn't anything vegetarian on the menu but they were super accommodating and altered some of the menu items so I could enjoy them. While it isn't a gourmet huge breakfast that you might get at a bed and breakfast, it is way better than some continental breakfast of just muffins and cold cereal. And it was nice to sit down and have breakfast served to us. I thought it was just lovely. Overall, i can't say enough good things about the Inn. The pictures don't do it justice! And one final example of how they went above and beyond to accommodate us. We have a fully electric car (Tesla) and there aren't any EV charging stations in wine country. They were so sweet and totally ran an extension cord outside so we could plug in our car! That is service. I would definitely stay here again and hope I get the chance sooner than later :)

Ok so here is the scoop. Great deal if you get a groupon or travelzoo. Wine- pretty bad. I liked the passionate peach champagne that was it. Free wine tasting 5-5:50- bonus as a guest!! And free breakfast (pretty good). The hotel needs some updating. Feels super old and outdated but also has a nice family feel. I would stay here again as the rooms were nice and bed was comfy. If you get a deal stay here. Otherwise skip it.

I almost hate giving this Nirvana a five star: now even more people will go and I'm greedy!! The wine is superb. I believe it's the best in the Temecula Valley. I especially adore the Gold Nectar; a light white wine with hints of spring fruit. The pick-up parties for members are a blast. Always great food to compliment the great wine. As for the Chateau, the rooms are amazing! Fireplace, hot tub, and a balcony with a view to die for. There is nothing more relaxing than waking up to the view of the vineyards, a slight fog over the surrounding hills, and the hot air balloons floating by.

My husband and I celebrated a beautiful, unforgettable wedding day at the Inn at Churon last April. Most of our guests told us it was the most charming, romantic, breathtaking wedding they had ever attended. It truly was the best day of our lives! We chose Temecula because we are former San Diego residents and we used to love visiting the wineries in the area. We now reside on the East Coast, and we selected The Inn at Churon after receiving a recommendation from a friend of a friend who was married there in 2009. We planned the entire wedding from across the country and visited only once for a food tasting. We had a vision of a very classy, rustic, vintage-style wedding, and Coordinator Michelle understood exactly what we were going for. She maintained constant communication, via email and phone, throughout an entire year of planning. Michelle sent us photos of various decorating ideas. She clearly knows the venue well, so she was able to suggest placement of all tables, flowers, etc. The finished product was exactly what we wanted!! In addition, the Inn at Churon is very flexible in terms of allowing the bride and groom to bring in anything and everything they'd like to complement the celebration. My husband is Mexican, and we wanted the whole day to be a blending of culture and tradition. We had a thirteen-member Mariachi band for the ceremony and cocktail hour. For the reception we had both a DJ and a nineteen-member Banda. We brought in two large piñatas, which were a huge hit for both children and adults! As for cuisine, we worked with the chef to create a Mexican menu that included traditional dishes and unique, tasty appetizers. The venue accommodated our 170 guests (plus vendors) very well! One recommendation to couples considering the Inn at Churon for their special day - be sure to hire vendors and appoint family members and friends to help ensure that the day runs smoothly. A few examples... My husband and I planned a full-day itinerary, which we shared with Coordinator and the DJ. Our DJ, Joel Miller ( MillertimeDJ.com ), was FANASTIC! He made sure we stuck to the itinerary as best as possible - he knew exactly when to switch off with the band, when to make announcements, and he played all the songs we requested. If it hadn't been for Joel, we feel the celebration would have been chaotic. We created a seating chart and Coordinator Michelle came up with a very organized schematic for arranging the tables. Using her schematic, I numbered the tables, based on where we wanted our guests to be seated, and sent it back to her. In the end, the tables where not where we had planned, which normally would not have been a big deal, but we wanted our families to be seated near us, and somehow they ended up on the opposite side of the floor. Finally, my groom and I were pulled in various directions throughout the day - from ushering guests to their seats to helping the band find an outlet - all things that the bride and groom would prefer to not be bothered with on their already hectic day. Overall, we highly recommend the Inn at Churon as a wedding venue, but we suggest going the extra mile to ensure that you select excellent vendors, as well as appoint a small team of family members or friends as your "go-to" people for anything and everything with which you would not want to be bothered on your special day.

Stayed here this weekend with family and enjoyed ourselves. There appeared to be quite a bit of maintenance that needed to be attended to - broken fixtures, bathroom fans that hollered and moaned, and general upkeep to the facility itself. Beds were super comfy, big bathrooms, and an electric fireplace in each room made the room very nice. We had a little patio with a table and chairs that we could sit at and visit with our family and drink delicious wine. The breakfast that was included with the room was very good with several different choices. Some of the waitresses could stand to be replaced with more friendly ladies that perhaps have a little more experience pouring coffee without splashing everyone. Not bad all in all but think if they want to compete with all the choices in the area it wouldn't hurt to add a little polish to the place.

I wanted to stay here, until I spoke with the woman who answers the phone! What a rude person. Not interested in dealing with people who interrupt you and talk to you like your an idiot when you ask a question about summer specials. I got interrupted with a hard "NO," when I asked if they had any weekend deals or packages available. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, thank you.

Definitely staying here again, and VERY excited about it! I loved the coziness and serenity of this Inn. Everything from the beautiful breathtaking view from our balcony, to the 5 star jacoozie tub in our bathroom. This place had me and the rest of our group feeling like royalty. The staff was accommodating at all times as well, which was really the cherry on top of our delightful stay. The complimentary breakfast was the perfect remedy after full day of wine tasting...it wasn't just your ordinary complimentary breakfast either. You are given the option between 6 or 7 yummy breakfast meals, I chose the Eggs Benedict!! I highly recommend this place for all you wine lovers!! PS. You get a complimentary bottle of wine in your room AND they have complimentary wine tasting hour for all hotel guests :)

My new husband and I got married here last weekend and have to say that our experience was incredible! The Inn was very accomodating and working with the coordinator, Michele was a breeze. Pros: Gorgeous suites to get ready in and lovely rooms for all your guests. Allows small weddings unlike many of the larger, more pretentious, wineries in the area. We had a wedding of 50 and it was perfect! Food was amazing and the chef is willing to work with you on your tastes. Took criticism very well and made vast improvments where needed. AFFORDABLE!!! Cons: This isn't really against Churon, as they have to comply with the local noise ordinance, but you have to end the wedding at 10 pm. I recommend paying the extra amount for another hour and getting married at 4 pm instead of 5. Trust me, it flies by!!! They do charge you extra $$$ to provide things like umbrellas, special linens, etc. So keep that in mind when you are planning your budget.

This was a last minute travelzoo deal for us and, for 2 nights and the price we paid, I'd say it was an OK deal. Nothing more, nothing less. Have you ever seen the show "Hotel Impossible"? That's where I think this little Inn is heading if both the service and the accommodations aren't given an upgrade soon. Here are the deets... The good stuff: -Spacious rooms, some with a spectacular vineyard and valley view -Oversized jetted tub and spacious bathroom -A surprisingly good, complete breakfast included with your stay -A free wine tasting daily at 5pm with generous pours -Charming grounds with nice landscaping all around -A bottle of wine included with travelzoo deal The bad stuff: -The service. I was beginning to think the only word anyone knew was "no" and the only phrase they were comfortable saying was "we can't do that". We were unable to check in even a little bit early. We were told by the employee at wine tasting that we could switch our free bottle of wine with one that we liked more. When we asked the front desk woman the next day, she gave us a very curt response, "absolutely not. We can't do that." -The decor. I expect dated but charming in wine country. This place is better summed up as "old and quirky". The rooms are dark and the decor does not feel luxurious or charming. The only furniture besides the credenza, desk and beds were 3 old dining chairs. There wasn't even a full length mirror anywhere. The lobby was filled with dining tables topped with black tablecloths. There was no decor to speak of other than the wine-themed painted walls. It's such a shame because the spacious lobby with tall ceilings could be so grand if they spent a little time and money on it. And I feel guilty saying it but the dark purple walls in the stairwell made me feel more like I'm in a cheap brothel (not that I've ever been in one, I just imagine that's what it would be like LOL) than an endearing bed and breakfast. -Ants. Quite a few in the bathroom and on the desk above the refrigerator. Any more than a night or two, I recommend checking out one of the other inn's in the area (Ponte looks very nice, and the winery next door, South Coast, maybe?). For just a couple of nights and for the price it really is "acceptable". I absolutely plan on returning to Temecula again soon, but I'd like a "friendlier" stay with nicer accommodations on my next trip. Overall, I don't think I'd stay at Churon again.

WONDERFUL ... Great place to stay .. Big room ...fireplace ... Huge bathroom ... Jacuzzi tub and shower ... Complimentary wine bottle for guests staying overnight ... And free wine tastings from 5-6 not a bad deal ... Ohh and a huge balcony to chill outside ... But I will say the entire place looks a bit dated ... Not sure if maybe that's the theme but the shower head didn't spit out enough water ... Friendly staff ... You get the mom and pop type of feel which is cool .... Enjoy

The stay at the Churon was an relaxing and stress relieving experience. It was a great way for my wife and I to escape on our anniversary. The inn had an old yet fancy look to it. The wine wasnt as good as one would expect from a winery, but a free tasting shouldn't be passed up. The inn keepers are very nice and always say hello and smile. At the end of the night, a good old bath in a giant tub really does wonders. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and their coffee as well. Will be staying here again!

My daughter just moved to the Temecula area and when visiting her I thought it would be fun for my husband and I to stay at a local winery. This particular one was rated very high so of course my expectations were high as well. Unfortunately from the very beginning upon arriving I was surprised by the type of service we received. When arriving at the desk to check in we were not acknowledged with a friendly welcoming smile but instead with a flustered, "I'll be with you in a few minutes." There was no others checking in at the time. We stood there for approximately 10 minutes while she just sat shuffling paperwork. After checking into our room we noticed that we were given a room right above the air-conditioning units and did not have a very nice view. There was one bathroom sink where the faucet handle was broken and turned in a full circle so it was difficult to figure out where was the place it would turn off. The woodwork around the doors were scuffed up and dirty and the shower had mold growing in much of the grout. There was also no where to place your toiletries, hair tools since the sink was just a pedestal sink. When we went downstairs to get our free complimentary bottle of wine, again, there was no other customers in the wine tasting room, just 2 sales associates. One was just standing nearby and the other was busy doing an inventory of gift accessories. Again, no hello or welcoming. We looked around the shop and finally after about 15 minutes she said she would be with us in a moment. I have been an assistant manager in a women's clothing store and was know how important a greeting and customer service is. The wine selection was ok but not stellar. Upon getting ready that evening for a dinner out with family we noticed that our air conditioner unit was extremely loud, and it continued sounding as if a plane was taking off all through the night. I recommended when checking out that they repair the unit before they have anyone else check in. I was so disappointed and honestly couldn't wait to leave the property. The one positive was the two breakfasts that came with our package. The waiters were friendly and the food tasted good. From our experience, I would never go back and would not recommend this winery.

We were very disappointed in our stay. The pictures are much nicer than the actual room. The rooms also had bath robes pictured, but none could be found. The area is beautiful, but the rooms and everything else is very much dated, dirty looking and needs some serious updating. The carpet around the ice machine was wet and you could see rust spots everywhere. The receptionist is very feisty, and overall, we were not impressed. There is very little attention to detail and the rooms could be decorated a bit nicer. I don't know if we got a less desirable room since I had a Travelzoo voucher. The housekeeping is lacking as well. Something fell behind the night stand, and when I looked for it, I found an empty pack of pasties. Never mind that there was also an empty water bottle under the bed. The breakfast was very good. That was one of the highlights. Would I visit again? I don't think so. I rather pay a little more and know I can get better accommodation very close by. In case you are trying to relax in the Jacuzzi, think again, as soon as you turn it on, there is no way you can have a conversation. This thing sounded like a jack hammer going off or a Harley Davidson starting up............

Bought a deal through Travelzoo, $239 for a two night stay. It was a bit hard to find because the directions I got from Google Maps was telling us it wasn't that far from the freeway. We did a couple of U-turns and resorted to calling the Inn to get clarification. Turns out we had to keep driving and go pass Butterfields Stage... the vineyard/inn was on the right. Finally!! The one person at the front desk was polite and helpful. I had to wait a few minutes as he was busy taking a phone call - seems a lot of people were calling to use their Travelzoo vouchers. At any rate, he handed us the room keys and told us that the complimentary tasting just started... OH WHAT!? Free wine?? SCORE!! =) We hurried downstairs after snapping a few photos of the room and putting our luggage down. We found a fairly large room downstairs with two ladies behind the bar pouring wine. We got a lukewarm reception (maybe because we were the youngest couple there and not white, lol). After a few minutes, we chatted them up and ended up leaving them a $10 tip. They really warmed up to us by the end, big surprise. Anyway, the wine list for the complimentary tasting wasn't stellar, but considering it was free, I had no complaints. We headed back upstairs, to Room 103 and did a closer inspection of our "home away from home" for the next couple of days: *Queen bed *Fireplace *Flat screen TV * Semi-private patio leading to a common garden *Spa bathtub *Free WiFi Cons: -Noisy, noisy, NOISY air conditioner -Leaky shower, had to keep bathroom door shut at night -Light was out in the hallway Pros: -Complimentary wine tasting that starts around 5p or 5:30p -Free parking -Pretty grounds -Enjoyed a bubble bath in the spa tub and I'm usually one to pass on taking a bath in a tub that doesn't belong to me -Complimentary breakfast that was just OK, it was a nice alternative if you wanted something free All in all, we had a pleasant stay. I don't think I would come back to this particular inn unless there was some sort of promotion, etc. I'd be more inclined to check out a new venue instead.

This place has the look and feel of a large chateau run by a small family who might be in a little in over their heads. Kind of like in an '80s movie where a big corporation is on the verge of buying out a family run hotel and ruin a fun winery town forever, but then Bill Murray rallies the troops and throws a huge party to raise the money to save the chateau. You can tell that the folks at Churon really try hard to make your experience awesome and the rooms themselves are incredible. There's just those little things like a snack and ice area that may or may not be in the middle of construction, light switches that don't work, a box of documents chillin by and old thrift store couch in the hallway, limiting their complimentary wine tasting to one hour at 5pm, that make it seem like the proprietors are being spread a little too thin. All that being said, this B&B is a cute place to stay while in Temecula wine country.

ONE bad apple spoiled it for the bunch. Enid, morning front desk lady, is rude and unprofessional. After check out on the way home she called saying we left the room dirty and was going to charge us $50. I asked where that was in the contract, her reply "do you live like that?". I wasn't aware of the fact that I was supposed to vacuum, empty the trash and fold the linens prior to check out. I left $5 cash in the room for housekeeping too. I asked for further explanation and she hung up on me. Called back and asked again but she kept raising her voice, cut me off mid-sentence and hung up on me again. During check-in she said if we wanted to open our complimentary Churon wine that was placed in our room we had to bring it down stairs to her at the front desk to have it open. She said people were stealing the wine openers so our rooms didn't have any. She's short with her replies and not friendly in general. Had my wife call back after Enid hung up on me twice and pretend to ask for availability. She was short with her too. After Enid found out my wife didn't have a travelzoo voucher Enid was much more friendly and courteous. Hilarious! Carpet in room 208 and 207 are stained in numerous spots and appear old and really worn out. No A/C in the hall ways. Nothing to do around the Inn. You have to drive at least 15 min to get to any type of food/entertainment. One of the linens had a yellow stain spot the size of a football. Pluses - Grounds are well kept. Breakfast was good. Staff, afternoon front desk (Ally) and waiters were nice and attentive. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy with its faults.

We stayed here two nights a couple of weeks ago, right after the end of tax season. We got a deal off of one of the travel sites. I was not sure what to expect as the reviews for this place are pretty varied. We arrived right during the complimentary wine tasting. We aren't huge wine drinkers but had a glass of the Cuvee. The person who works the front desk also works the wine tasting, so we had to wait for her to come up and check us in. We loved our room. We were on the second floor, and the view was gorgeous. We had a private balcony with a table and chairs and were able to sit outside and enjoy the beauty. Our room had a fireplace, a fairly comfortable king-sized bed, a large bathroom with a separate jacuzzi tub and his and her vanity/sink areas, separated by a shower. There was only one minus in this lovely room - the carpeting was old and looked dirty. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. There were just a few items to choose from, but everything was cooked to order and fresh. The first morning, the coffee was cold, and the server was not the friendliest, but the second morning, though more crowded, was better. Aside from maybe a little updating (carpets), and perhaps having nice robes in the room to use after the jacuzzi tub, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I hope we will be able to return soon.

Our day-cation ended here as we were able to snag a room at this Inn. This place does offer some great deals added on to the room. Complimentary bottle of wine to go with the room. Our room had a nice fireplace, big his and her bathroom, outdoor patio to overlook the winery, and a king size bed. Complimentary breakfast. Complimentary wine tasting. The place does look a little aged, so even though the rooms were nice, there is an older feel to it. I do agree with some reviews about an older lady in the front office that just doesn't seem she enjoys her job. I fortunately didn't have to deal with her much during my stay, so this place is OK in my book!

I wanted to love this place but was very disappointed in the service. My group of 15 came here for an engagement party and after taking a limo to go wine tasting we purposely made it back in time to make the 5-6 wine hour on a Monday night. We were told "we clearly partied too much some where else and they couldn't serve us". We cut our limo ride short just so we could make it back in time to try our hotel's wine hour yet they wouldn't serve us. None of the other wineries had any problems with us. Our engagement party made up most of the hotel and our packages included a free one hour wine hour. I found it funny that they didn't specifically ask anyone to leave that was being too rowdy and they just kicked our whole party out. Yes we were all buzzed but no one did anything wild and isn't the point of going wine tasting to be drinking?? Honestly, it was clear to us that they didn't want to give us our free tastings that came included with our room packages. I was extremely disappointed with the way they handled this. If they had a problem with someone's behavior they should have kicked that person out (however no one did anything wrong). My party of 15 will not be coming back and we easily could have become regulars.

Awesome, awesome, awesome experience here for Labor Day weekend! My husband and I booked a room here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and the staff at Inn at Churon went above and beyond to make it a most memorable and special occasion! Everything from upgrading our room to a bottle of champagne in our suite!!! Everyone was so hospitable, the views were absolutely gorgeous, and waking up to hot air balloons floating outside our window was like a dream! We couldn't have had a better time than we did, we will definitely be staying here again! Love this place!

I am holding my breath that I don't spend Halloween in the bathroom, as I ate a few bites of rancid Eggs Benedict. My husband and I stayed here last night and although the staff was very friendly, size of the room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable, the room was dilapidated. The sink was falling apart, the shower had dirty Velcro strips on the shower floor as a nonslip solution, the jet tub was not operable and filthy, the carpet was stained, the side tables had sticky drink rings on the their surfaces, and the wallpaper was peeling off in large sections in several spots of the room and bathroom. I actually cleaned the tub out with soap before I used it because when I tried to fill it the first time, I found black floaters in the water. The grounds are beautiful and it would have been nice to have a view of the landscape instead of a parking lot from our "suite's" balcony. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Came here for an anniversary weekend and due to the not-so-stellar yelp reviews (thin walls? dirty rooms?!) I was more than a little apprehensive. But the Inn at Churon was the only place in town that would let me do a one-night reservation, so I took it. Let me tell you, I was SO relieved when we arrived. - The building has charm. Some might consider the interior dated, but they're probably folks who think any kind of patterened wallpaper is dated. It was really quite a nice inn. - Our vineyard view room was so much larger than I expected! The bed was comfortable, the linens crisp white, the bathroom a dream (we took full advantage of the free-standing bathtub). On closer inspection there were a few places where you could see the paint had been touched up, but honestly who cares!? - The breakfast menu is small, but the fare is standard American and pretty good. - There is a strange septic smell immediately outside the front entrance, but only there. - wifi didn't seem to quite reach our room. All in all, we had an excellent experience here and my fiance said "wow!" when he saw the room. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

My husband and I were very blessed and fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at Churon Winery back in October. I can not express enough how AMAZING our whole experience was from start to finish. After things fell through with another venue, who treated us very rudely by the way, my husband called Churon. Thank God he did, Michelle is an angel, & helped us every step of the way! She treated us like family and went above and beyond. She is VERY sweet, accommodating, and even gave us great tips! We were able to leave our arrangements the way it was (just picked up valuables) and pack it in our cars the next day, so that was awesome to not have to worry about that while celebrating the night away! Her sweet daughter even made our BEAUTIFUL flower arrangements including my bouquet, she is definitely talented!! The views there are GORGEOUS! It was the PERFECT setting for one of the most special days of our lives. The intimate, romantic, outdoor ambience was exactly what I had envisioned for our reception, and it was all of that and more! Our photographer took our pictures there at the winery and I LOVE them!! Our guests were in love with the venue also. Even now, month's after, our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was & about how DELICIOUS the food was! The Chef hit it out of the park with his Tuscan chicken, roasted potatoes, and grilled veggies! I highly recommend it, trust me you will not be disappointed! It was not on the menu, but the Chef recommended it & I'm so glad he did! I still crave it!! We stayed in the Chardonnay suite, which was also AMAZING! It has the most beautiful view, huge balcony, and 3 fireplaces! I could go on for days about how amazing everything was. I still can't believe I had my dream wedding and I owe it all to Michelle and the staff at Churon. They're AWESOME!!!

Loved this place. The room was nice. I loved that it was spacious and the bathtub and the bed... AWESOME big bed. I think it was really romantic. He got the suite room. The standard room is different. We had our own balcony and it was really just pretty. They gave us a fridge so we put all our wines in there and it was great because I got to drink before going on the balloon (scared of heights) and so I drank A LOT to calm down. The place was clean for us. So I loved it. BREAKFAST: We got free breakfast with the room and it was really good. I didn't have any complaints. AMBIANCE: The wine room was pretty, I love the staircase going to the win room and their wines were good. I drank a LOT. The outside grapevines were nice to look at. :D Overall, I loved this place. Hard to find at night because no lights, so make sure you come to Temecula during the day.

We stayed in the double queen room on the first floor for Sunday night. Me, my wife, and my two little boys (5 & 1). The room is very roomy and beautiful, with good soft bed and great decor. Private wine tasting hour for inn guests was at 5pm. an hour drinking all we like, and we tried everything on their wine menu. Overall we liked their whites, not as much their reds as its a bit drier then we liked. The moscato was great, we bought quite a few bottles. Really liked the Amoroso and Sherry as well. We liked their wine enough that we signed up for the wine club. Looks like this will be our new winery. We'll be back. 1 star off for the loud AC system and old carpet. Otherwise no complaints.

When deciding where to stay in Temecula for a three day weekend of wine tasting, I read EVERY yelp review for the Inn at Churon, South Coast, Ponte and several others. After reading the reviews, we chose the Chardonnay Suite at the Inn at Churon. Our suite had three separate rooms (bedroom, living room, bathroom) with each room averaging around 20 feet long by 15 feet wide with approximately 9 feet high ceilings, plus a nice sized balcony. Each room had antique furniture, flowery wall paper and a gas fireplace. The spacious bedroom had a comfy king size bed, large corner fireplace, tv, and floor-to-ceiling glass french doors that opened to the balcony with an impressive view of the valley below, surrounded by hillside vineyards and snow capped mountains in the distance. Nighttime brought a tranquil silence with rabbits eating the green grass on the picturesque grounds below our balcony. The morning view greeted us with a blue sky full of low flying brightly colored hot air balloons floating quietly overhead. The living room had a bar and a mini-frig. We appreciated the complimentary bottle of excellent Moscato wine and two wine glasses waiting for us on the bar. The bathroom had a full size jacuzzi bathtub in the middle of the room (bubble bath adventure!) and a large glass/marble tile enclosed shower. We found the 900 square feet Chardonnay Suite to be nice and clean, quiet and peaceful, cozy and comfortable, and well designed and maintained. The 8am - 10am complimentary breakfast with indoor or outdoor seating was very good (french toast, omelets, juices, etc.). The "guests only" free wine tasting from 5pm to 6pm was fun mingling with a group of 25 very happy people from Las Vegas that have been returning to stay at the Inn at Churon for the past seven years in a row. The staff (Nicole - telephone reservation and check in, Debbie and Monya - wine tasting, Dani - breakfast, Damon - check out) were all above and beyond pleasant. The "unfriendly older lady" referred to in several yelp reviews is apparently only one employee ("Enid?"). Every company has an "Enid". Overall, I found this location to have a relaxed, French, antique, wedding-like feel to it. Perfect for a B&B and perfect for a few days of wine tasting. I felt a need to write this review to counter the negative reviews of overly critical people exaggerating about dark hallways, minor tears in the wall paper, etc. If you prefer a bed and breakfast with beauty, charm and character instead of a resort with cookie-cutter, sterile, boring rooms, the Inn at Churon Winery is for you. The WOW Factor Formula: ~ Chardonnay Suite (2nd floor) - Inn at Churon Winery (Nicole) ~ Almond Champagne - Wilson Creek Winery (Stacy) ~ Lobster Mac and Cheese - Pinnacle Restaurant at Falkner Winery (Tina) ~ Real Fries, No Lies - The Restaurant at Leoness Cellars Winery (Heidi) ~ Tzatziki, Saganaki, Roasted Veggie Panini, etc. at Parea's Greek Restaurant in Old Town Temecula (Antoine - Chef Extraordinaire/Proprietor) Cheers!!! P.S. Check out temeculawines dot org for a lot of winery coupons.

Overall my stay there was unsatisfactory. Upon arrival we waited at the check-in desk for 15 minutes, nobody was there, we knocked and yelled for somebody but nobody came. I later walked to the tasting to room downstairs and asked if somebody could check us in, when the check in lady said "yeah that's me, I'll be there in a bit" as she proceeded to continue the conversation she was having with another worker. She wasn't very friendly or welcoming. After checking in we arrived at or room. The room was very nice, has a fire place and large bathroom. One of the pillowcases was dirty, but the cleaning lady apologized and changed it immediately when we told her. Later that day we went to the tasting room for the free tasting. The lady working was not very friendly, or informative on wines. They do offer limitless amount of tastings and are relatively large tastings. The wine was ok, I didn't find anything to be too great or too bad. The other wineries in the a area have better wines. The bartender also did not call last call, and when I asked for another tasting she said that the tasting was over and that someone should have called last call, i asked if I could taste the last wine on the list because nobody called for last call, but she continued to say that the tasting hour was over, so we just left trying to be polite and not show our annoyance. We enjoyed our night. However in the morning we woke up late and barely made it to dining area for our complimentary breakfast, it closes at 10 and we arrived 5 minutes prior to closing when the waitress rudely told us they're closing. This was Xmas eve, by the way. The hotel and wines are decent but the customer service made it a very unpleasant stay. I don't recommend you staying here. The other wineries in the area are very friendly and have much better wines.

We had a wonderful time at The Inn at Churon Winery. It really is as good as it gets and we'll be back soon! Gorgeous setting with beautiful rooms, lobbies and grounds. Enid and Nicole at the front desk went above the call to welcome us and see to all of our needs. The Chardonnay Master Suite was unbelievable! It's HUGE. I could have used a GPS system to find the bathroom for a 3am visit !!! The complimentary breakfast was very good. Those that partook in the wines said they were fabulous. I was the designated driver, as always! Do yourself a favoe and visti here for sure. Book the Chardonnay Suite!!! Thanks to all at Churon Inn.

I came across this inn from groupon as a deal for a one night stay and sunrise balloon air ride. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room my husband and I got was huge, the bathroom was even more impressive - lots of space and I loved the granite tiling, not to mention the hot tub! Minus one star for the outdated carpet and wallpaper. The antique furniture gave it a homey feel. Beds and pillows were comfy, a little too soft for my taste but it was tolerable. Minus another star for the loud air conditioner - and I'm not a light sleeper whatsoever. And when the unit shut off, there was this frequent electric-surge-sound every 14 seconds (I know I'm a freak, I timed it). Complimentary wine tasting is from 5-6. Moscato wine was pretty good, we bought a bottle to take home. Breakfast was ok, limited selection of breakfast items. All in all, we would definitely come back, but maybe during the winter so we can try out the fireplace and I'll be bringing my ear plugs!

Based on the photo of the Inn and their description I was happy to book their basic room for the regular room rate of $333 per night, including taxes and fees. BUT!! Upon arrival we walked into a sparse lobby with a few tables with dead flowers in vases on them. Not dried flowers, dead flowers. To be fair there were a couple of tables with dying flowers on them. There was a couch facing the fireplace. I approached the front desk to check in. I was met by a bitter woman that seemed very put out to have to stop what she was doing to check us in. She took my name, shuffled some papers and then asked for my name again. Found the reservation and checked us in. The room had a beautiful and very comfortable King size bed. It also had paint peeling off of the ceiling near the airconditioning vent, accompanied with water stains on the ceiling. The main dresser had ants, in modest numbers, crawling over it. There were baby spiders in the room as well.. I eventually tracked them back to a very large nest attached to one of the two silk plants on the mantel of the fire place. I took a photo, I don't see where I can post it here in my review. Having to retrieve something from my car late in the evening I passed by the "Champagne Suite", the dirty door was open, the smell inside was quite nasty. It was a horrible clutter of miscellaneous tools, rags, cans, and dirt everywhere. It filled the hallway with the oder of grease and dirt. Back to the room, the fridge sounded like a small toy electric airplane waiting for take off. I could handle the fridge noise, it was after all a white noise. The NOISE that did bother me was whenever we or a neighboring room would flush the toilet, or turn on the water there would follow a wop wop wop sound that sounded like a helicopter hovering outside the Inn. That noise made for a very difficult nights sleep, even though the bed was very comfortable. In the morning when I spoke with the not so cheerful woman at the front desk from the day before and told here of the issues I had with my stay she said she had ants at her home too. No apology for the noises, lack of sleep, the odor outside the open door to the Champagne Suite, not even a thank you for bringing the issues to her attention. The view from the room was very nice. It could have been a wonderful place to stay, but it simply wasn't. And sadly I was left with the feeling that Churon Inn does not rely on repeat customers. It is not that difficult to keep spiders and ants out of a room and to keep the hallways odor free by keeping certain doors closed. And it is not too much to expect for a B&B to at least fake their appreciation for your visit. I predict the Churon Inn will be under new management or ownership within the next few years. Maybe then I can try another visit. But until then I would avoid staying at the Churon Inn. At least room #101. P.S. Besides the bed being very comfortable, the breakfast was quite good. Also the Churon Winery makes some excellent wines.

I was all set to purchase a Travel Zoo deal for this hotel, but first wanted to confirm availability with the hotel. I left a message over a week ago and have yet to receive a return call. Zero stars for customer service.

This is based on a phone conversation I had with them trying to book at their hotel and not from an actual experience. I saw a travel zoo deal and I called them to check availability. The lady who picked up the phone was simply annoyed I was inquiring about dates. She would talk to me for thirty seconds and then put me on hold multiple times and would imply she had more important things to deal with. After a few times, I just hung up while I was on hold. I was just trying to give you business!! Also I called during normal business hours (Monday at 11:30). I give them two stars because she seemed legitimately busy but then she should've just told me she could call me back instead of showing annoyance I called at all. Too bad, it looked like a place I would've enjoyed but could not get past the booking process.

Pros: 1) Pretty grounds 2) Easy to find, parking plentiful 3) Rooms nicely appointed, views from most rooms 4) Sheets were soft and beds comfy, fireplace in each room. Tile floors and glass shower doors are nice. 5) Food is presented well 6) Staff is friendly and helpful 7) The special dinner offered only on Friday nights is elegantly presented with paired wine per course. It is served in their front lobby, not a separate dining room, however, but it is nice. Cons: 1) No swimming pool, no lounge chairs for sunbathing or relaxing 2) No computer/business room or complimentary internet 3) No coffee pots in rooms, or coffee available in lobby at any time 4) No fruit bowl or lemoned water in the lobby 5) No pastries offered. We've never been to a B&B that doesn't offer pastries, and since this is a French-themed B&B we kinda expected to get some :( 6) Breakast is limited choices, no cereal, yogurt, (or pastries, lol) 7) TV reception was poor on our flat screen tv, not HD 8) No private stall for toilet commode/ just one big room with the commode open 9) No chairs for sitting during happy hour/wine tasting. You must stand or browse the gift shop. Cheese and crackers are offered with the wine. 10) The $65/pp dinner comes with paired wine for each course. Our prime rib was overcooked and very "winey" tasting, overpowering the beef flavor. Summary: For the price it is not a bad choice. There are other places to stay on Winery Row, but all are more expensive. This is a quiet kick-back-do-nothing type place. I would've liked a lounge chair for the patio/lawn area to lay back and read in the sun. Weather was perfect. Vines were nice and green. Come in spring or early summer when everything is green. I do have some better photos than are posted here but can't find a way to upload them on the site today.

We had a great stay at this charming inn, very convenient for our sunrise balloon ride. The room was spacious and had a nice balcony with a view, a fireplace, king bed, and large bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The complimentary wine tasting 'happy hour' for guest only was fun and friendly, and breakfast on the patio was an unexpected plus. The setting in the Temecula wine country is beautiful. I would return to the Churon. Very nice spot for a relaxing weekend of wine-tasting in the Temecula area.

My wife and I arrived during the complimentary wine tasting. We enjoyed their selection of wines. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The Inn is well maintained and the scenery is beautiful. Our room was very spacious and well kept. However, there were a few ants. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a little too soft for my taste. The reason I'm giving this Inn only three stars is because of the constant noise. There was this noise coming from the walls every couple of minutes--it was so annoying (I believe it was the water pipes). I almost got up to go sleep in my car, but it was too cold outside. In addition, the toilet kept making noise as well. I recorded it on my phone to have the staff listen to what I was hearing all night but I decided not too. Also, my breakfast which consisted of an omelette and potatoes was over cooked. This place is charming and it does have potential. It just needs a little fine tuning.

The fiance and I stayed at Churon for a couple of nights to celebrate our anniversary a couple of weekends ago. We really loved it! Our room was on the first floor and our patio opened up onto the green lawn that overlooks the vineyards. Every morning we had a gorgeous view of the hot air balloons going up and the surrounding vineyards. It was so peaceful that we sat outside and read while we enjoyed some champagne. The room itself was very nice! The bathroom was amazing and even had a tub with jets in it. There are his and hers sinks that are separated by the shower, which I liked so that I could keep all of my girly stuff on my side. The bed was so comfy that we literally ended up sleeping like 10 hours each night. There's also a fireplace that just added a touch of romance. When we arrived we also had a complimentary bottle of wine sitting on the table. The complimentary breakfast that is offered is decent. The only thing that I could complain about was the fact that they listed a "mimosa" as an option with breakfast for $4 but both days they said they were out of champagne...even though they are a winery...I found that odd. Also, bring cash to tip the servers. Even though it's complimentary, they are working hard to provide you with your meal so it's a nice gesture. The complimentary wine tasting that's provided for hotel guests was okay. They offered cheese with the wine tasting but the wine was definitely the worst I had in Temecula. But, it was still a fun experience! All in all, it's a nice and quiet place to stay. Definitely recommended if you are trying to enjoy a romantic weekend. We will probably be back in the future!

This place is a dump. Old, run down, smells like mildew. The service is non existent!! They shut down the front desk after dinner. No one answers if you try to call from a room. The decor is about 30 years old with nasty fake, lifeless looking plants everywhere. The hideous flowered wallpaper looks like your Great Granny's house!! Yes, the rooms are big. We were even upgraded to a suite with a living room and a bar but we checked out early! This place is equivalent to a Motel 6 at best. Rip off!!

This is my first review ever on yelp. DO NOT GO HERE. It's the worst customer service ever. My husband and I looked into staying here a few months back. When we approached the receptionist to ask some questions she completely ignored us and proceeded to have a conversation with a fellow co-worker. Some time had passed and was looking to book a romantic weekend for V-day with my husband. I called in to ask a few questions after much debate and had a similar bad experience. The women barely answered my questions and put me on hold without asking. WHAT A JOKE OF AN ESTABLISHMENT. Don't waste your money on this poor service and sorry excuse for an inn.

I stayed here a few weeks ago. Ironically, I am not a wine drinker. The vineyards were bare, which I expected given the time of year that I visited; However, it was still a beautiful view. The rooms are gorgeous! Nice big bathrooms with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Working fireplace and comfy beds. Every room has it's own patio/balcony. Disappointed that there wasn't a restaurant there, only a continental breakfast in the morning. I would have given a five star review, but the staff was not very friendly so I took a star away for that. That being said, I still would visit again, I just would limit my interactions with the staff.

Got a deal on TravelZoo for 2 nights for $249. Our room had a huge tub, bed and balcony. The decor and grounds are very quaint and definitely has the feeling of a French chateau. The staff was very friendly and informative. They have a nea little gift shop, where they do the tastings downstairs. As guests, we had fa ree tasting from 5-6pm each night, a bottle of wine in our room, and tasty breakfast in the morning. Bring snacks, food or make plans to eat dinner elsewhere, unless it's Friday or Saturday night. The Chocolate Bliss wine was to die for, as was the sparkling Peach. If you don't know what a B&B is, then don't stay here and go to South Coast Winery down the road. That is as commercial, touristy and expensive as it gets. Not Churon and that's what I loved about it. I'll be back!

Amazing and unique experience. Can be a bit pricey but if you can afford it - very worth it. Especially if you love wine. This place is magnificent. It was my first trip to Temecula. The first of what will undoubtedly prove to be very many. Let it first be said that is vineyard is gorgeous. It has a valley view to the right and mountains of course on both sides. You can see the fields of Grapes here as well as at least 3 other close by vineyards both from the upper gardens/fountain area as well as from the patios attached to each of the rooms. I didn't just go for the wine tasting. I in fact don't have a deep love for wine. I can recognize quality and can detect high notes, low notes, and aftertaste of course. I just cant bring myself to love the stuff. I actually went to this location for an overnight celebration of the first anniversary of my marriage. My wife on the other hand - loves wine. And she adores quaint romantic locations. The Inn at Churon Winery is a whole lot of that. All that being stated I will now tell you that a great way to go if your looking for a romantic getaway - is to get the Rest and relaxation package. If you were going to do most of those things anyway - it allows you to do them and pay less. It's still a pretty penny but you have to remember that quality is not cheap. The rest and relaxation package includes a few things and I will be happy to tell you about them. You also get a huge discount if you do it during the week as opposed to on the weekend. You get a Vineyard view room for 1 night, a Private 50-minute in-room massage for 2(simultaneously at that - and in your room), as well as an Afternoon guest-only wine hour (think all you can stand without falling unconscious wine tasting), the truth is, there is still more and you might not want to get trashed before you share the immaculate setting where you will enjoy Dinner for 2, and a Gourmet breakfast for both of you in the morning Depending on the season and at what stage they are in - they also might give you some free whine. We were given a bottle of Cab, a bottle of Zin, and a bottle of port. Due to the fact that between the one hour of wine tasting and the 5 flights of wine you will be seeing at your romantic dinner - I recommend stowing whatever free bottles they give you for when your back home. So, the massage. They have a contract with a local masseuse whom brings a partner. They have massage tables with them and they bring their own tunes, and oil, hot stones, lotions, they have all kinds of fun stuff. That being said - they can do either Swedish style or deep tissue. These are big strong women - so I recommend Swedish. They will have you take off whatever amount of clothes your comfortable with. And they will massage all the way from the top of your skull all the way to the balls of your feet. They also will ask if you want hot stone massage or chakra points worked etc... Your answers will probably be very different depending on how much massage you typically get. This massage takes like 45 minutes. I would suggest throwing them a decent tip as they are well worth it. Also, it helps if you have scheduled said massage in a timely enough manner so that you can make the hour long guest only wine tasting in the wine cellar. In this way - once you are all relaxed and drooling from the massage you can go down and drink your fill of wine. In this way you can help the drooling continue. Now that you have tried all the wines they have downstairs - its back up to the front stone deck to think about dinner. They have a dining room just off the front stone deck with valley views. They have a beautiful setting and really nice dinnerware/glasses. This is important because your doing a 5 course meal with 5 courses of wine. Before coming here I emailed them twice to make sure they knew that we don't eat meat(we do eat fish/seafood). When I got a response is was obvious to me that they weren't too worried about their ability to find something that they could cook and we would like to eat no matter what our dietary restriction. What they knew and I did not is that they have a ton of ingredients and chef hanging out waiting for whatever few people come for the night to order. So, we finally went on into the dining room and sat down. And they brought us iced tea, water, and our first glass of wine. They brought bread and our first course etc...and asked us what we were thinking for an entree. We eventually went with a macadamia encrusted sea bass for both of us. Our meal was amazing. Truly 5 star food even if the place had been a dump. And the place is magnificent. My wife said that 4 of the 5 wines were great. The dessert wine was only average. But, the bottle of port we got for free ended up being really good so maybe it was just how they matched the specific wine with the food. We had creme brulee and chocolate souffle for dessert - it was impressive. Dessert kind of reminded me of Roy's Hawaiian Fusion...

We spent 2 nights here right before New Years Eve. The room was beautiful. We enjoyed the fireplace and the complimentary bottle of wine. The in room jacuzzi was amazing - both nights! Our complimentary breakfast was good too. Nice servers and the staff was nice and attentive as well. (We have an electric car so we appreciated everyone trying to accommodate the plug in feature!) My only complaint would be the happy hour didn't have any food. After you've been wine tasting all day and with kitchen facilities at the hotel, we couldn't understand not having some type of food for purchase (plus they'd make a lot of money offering this!). They did offer some small items, cheese, crackers to purchase but it not what we were looking for. Also, this end of Temecula closes down around 5pm and then with the tasting til 6, you're pretty much back in your room until morning. Also, there's no HBO or movies available. It is a lovely hotel, we just have to pack differently next time we visit.

My son had a wedding there this weekend, and everything was great. I read a lot of the reviews prior to coming up, as I was debating whether to get a room there for that night, or look for something else. I am generally pretty critical, so I was a little worried. In contrary to what I read, I have NO IDEA what people are complaining about! The owner at the front desk was incredibly nice. Possibly since she is from NYC, people are not used to the accent or more typical matter of fact style - LOL? She went out of her way for us a couple of times. I was impressed. The rooms were verging on spectacular, at least when compared to an average hotel room. I travel a lot, so I have more than a few to compare from. I had the opportunity to see 2 regular rooms and 1 suite since a few of us in the family were there. All 3 were incredibly well decorated, with marble and/or granite furniture, stone fireplaces, and huge stone bathrooms with large jacuzzi bath tubs. The suite that my son and his wife were in was HUGE, with multiple rooms, a bar, fireplace, HUGE granite bathroom, etc. All 3 rooms were very clean, with great views, and had plenty of side products (e.g. shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, etc...) People that talk about the horrible 'tasting room in the basement'? Wow. I don't understand that expectation or description. You walk through the front door, there is a big sign with 'tasting room' point left and down a flight of nice stone stairs, to a large tasting and gift area, half of which has 40' cathedral cielings open to the floor above. There is no place in the lobby where you can't look down to the left to see it. It seemed nice enough, open and airey, with a more private feel than some of the other very busy winerys in the area. The wine itself was fine. Fairly typical Temecula valley wine in my opinion. I am no oenaphile, but I have yet to have a Temecula wine that truly compares to a good Napa. BUT, they are good local wines nonetheless. Lastly, some comments on the staff. I chatted with a couple of the women cleaning the rooms, and they were incredibly happy and friendly. Some of the same staff that helped with the wedding were there for breakfast service, and they were also incredibly hard working, friendly, etc. I really enjoyed El Churon. That's my take on it!

Not too bad of a place. $275/night got me an hour worth of free wine tasting, decent looking hotel room, very tasty free breakfast (not the continental style), and great service. I recommend.

I want to go back to the Inn at Churon Winery right now! We just returned from our stay at the Inn for our honeymoon, and it was amazing! The room was was huge and beautiful, with a gorgeous view! The decor is English cottage style and, sure it could use some touch-up paint here & there, but it's just so romantic and peaceful! Everyone there is super nice. They remembered us as the honeymooners and kept saying, "Congratulations!" They really made us feel special. The cocktail hour is fantastic! They let you try pretty much anything they have, and they offer cheese & crackers. We got a bottle of our favorite to save for our 10-year wedding anniversary! The breakfast is wonderful! I was expecting a continental breakfast, with simple pastries & juice, but instead it was a full, proper breakfast. The florintine benedict was my favorite! One morning we even asked to have breakfast in our lovely room! We were so sad to leave, and we have decided that we will go back every year! Can't wait!

Purchased a deal through TravelZoo - which was $239 for a two-night midweek stay. Normal rates start at about $180 per night - so this was a very good deal. Room was enormous - with a large balcony with a cafe table and two chairs, gas fireplace in he bedroom - which I didn't use since it was summer - very comfortable king bed, flat screen TV, and very large bathroom with a beautiful jacuzzi tub large enough for two. It's to a small hillside with a nice valley view. The grounds are lovely, and there were lots of cottontail bunnies that would come out during the afternoon (although they were not tame). Like some other reviewers have stated - the place could use a little bit of sprucing up - there is some torn/worn wallpaper - but this did not detract from the beauty and elegance of the inn in my opinion. Breakfast is included with the cost of the room - and you have a choice of several entrees. For my first breakfast there - I asked the friendly waitress what her favorite was - and she said the Eggs Benedict, so that's what I ordered, and they were tasty. My second morning there I ordered the French Toast which as also good. There is also a nightly wine reception/tasting for guests from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. where you can have as much wine as you desire (but there is no food). I'm more of a white wine person, and I tasted two of their whites - but didn't like either of them - but again - that did not detract from the overall marvelous ambiance of this Inn. They even give you a bottle of wine in your room when you check in - which is a very nice gesture. It was a Cabernet which I took home with me. The staff here were nice and friendly, and I had absolutely no issues while staying here. I do have a few small suggestions for the Inn: (1) there should be a wine opener in each room; (2) there needs to be a writing/note pad and a pen in each room; (3) there should be a booklet in each room with information about the Inn, and its amenities, local restaurants, and other information about things to do locally; (4) the wi-fi needs to work better - I never was able to connect to it while staying there. Overall - I really liked this Inn, enjoyed my stay very much, and would definitely stay here again. The location is ideal for those wanting to be in "wine country".

We stayed her this week on a Travel zoo deal. It was very pleasant and just as it was described to us. The staff is eager to please and the room was excellent. The breakfast and wine tasting are very good. Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, awesome bed and view. We will be back again next year. Check it out.

We stayed at the Inn at Churon Winery on our wedding night in the Chardonnay Suite. It was remarkable with 3 fireplaces, huge jacuzzi tub, and beautiful balcony overlooking the vineyards. The staff was extremely accommodating in allowing our luggage to be dropped off early, checking us in early, and allowing late check out the next day. They also had chilled champagne waiting for us upon arrival and provided a great breakfast in bed. We could not have asked for a more beautiful hotel for our wedding night and highly recommend it to any couples looking for a romantic evening.

Stayed here for the night before we went on a hot air balloning adventure. The employees were friendly, the room was clean and the free wine tasting and breakfast were a great bonus. We got a deal because we made reservations to balloon with Sunrise Balloons which was nice. The free wine tasting was from 5:00-6:00ish and had a selection of about 12 wines and a small selection of cheese and crackers. The wine was eh, but I learned to drink wine while I studied abroad in France so I'm a wine snob. The hooch was free so can't really scoff at it. The free breakfast had a small selection, with the majority being egg based. I'm not a fan of eggs so i went with the only other option, French Toast, Told you I was a France snob. Free breakfast is free breakfast though. If Iw as even in Temecula again, I don't see that happening soon, but I'd totally stay again.

We loved this Inn. It's just beautiful....on the inside...and the outside. The views just don't get any better. Our room overlooked the vineyard, there were little bunnies in the garden, and colorful hot air balloons in the sky!!! The meals were delicious...no continental breakfast here, but a wonderful selection of full cooked breakfasts to choose from. The evening wine tasting was so much fun. We are hooked on their White Merlot and brought some home with us. Also, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We're already talking about our trip back next year. September is a great month.....many wineries are harvesting and pressing and have great tours.

Got a deal on Travelzoo....so can't complain that it was too pricey...BUT...it would be at rack rates. This place has SO MUCH potential.....huge rooms, fireplace...views, views, views! BUT mold on the bathroom ceilings, wallpaper peeling, wood framed windows all rotted out, dirty and faded carpet. Such a shame as it could be fantastic, but the recession took its toll and it may need a lot more than some spit and polish to get it back where it must have been. Loved the 2 days regardless.

This place is a decent little romantic place to stay. The problem with this place is that its crappy quality of rooms are made to LOOK top notch when they are falling apart. Cons... -Wall paper is torn off the walls in chunks throughout this hotel. This includes the hall ways and parts of the rooms. Our friends room had the same problem. -The hot water worked well half the time and only decent the other half. -The fireplace mantel looks as though there had been a fire and they decided not to restore the smoke and fire damage. Our friends room had the same problem. -Wood paneling looked as though it had major termite damage. -Matress was hard and very basic. -They only put two water glasses in our room i.e. no wine glasses. - Our friends room door wouldn't close properly and you could open it just by pushing on the door. -The free breakfast was dry and tasteless. And the service was horrible (we kept having to get up to ask for ketchup or coffee). Pros... -The place is laid out to look very beautiful. If the all paper and wood was clean and damage free, the place would look amazing. -Rooms are huge and the bathrooms are huge. -The view is very romantic and probably one of the best in the area due to being on a hill. I won't stay here again. Don't go to the winery for tasting either, crappy wine.

Our stay at the Inn At Churon Winery was very relaxing. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable with a fireplace and a private patio. Breakfast on our patio overlooking the valley was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The "happy hour" snacks and bottle of wine brought to the room were superb. I'd definitely stay here again.

This bed and breakfast was great! Took my girlfriend here for a birthday weekend. Some of the wine oturs stop here so we got picked up right from our hotel. The rooms were probably the best part. Great view looking into the vineyards. The service was great and the breakfast in the morning was great as well. Overall would definitely come here again!

I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone who appreciates great wine, beautiful accomodations, and superb customer service. We had our very small wedding here and were treated as if we had a guest list of 200. The customer service was beyond outstanding and each person we encountered went out of their way to make sure that we had a spectacular experience! The grounds are just as beautiful, if not more so, than the pictures you find on their website! And the rooms are beautifully decorated in very classic antique taste! Judy, the owner, saw to all my planning from day one when I contacted her until I walked down the aisle to meet my groom. Each staff member went above and beyond - especially when my cake (which I supplied myself) had an "accident" on the way to the winery, and they fixed it free of charge! Our five course wine-paired dinner was completely an amazing experience! My husband and I are full bodied red wine drinkers, but when the first three courses of our meal came paired with white wine, it was paired so brilliantly that we LOVED the white wine! We were given an early check-in upon request without any hesitation and were served room service for breakfast which was delightful! Guests are invited to a special wine reception each evening from 5-6pm which includes wine, cheese, crackers, olives, and another seasonal appetizer. All of which are of the highest quality. And again, the friendly staff and customer service never waivered! When visiting any wine country two things are of extreme importance to me - GREAT wine and FANTASTIC customer service. That's how I decide who gets my business and the Churon winery meets my expectations and so much more! And the fact that the setting is breathtaking and the accomodations are top-notch is an extra added bonus!

The view from our room was beautiful and that's where the 'good' ended on our 2 night stay. Reception upon check-in was less than welcoming (unkind and curt). The room was a bit dated and poorly maintained. All in all, the stay was so-so...certainly not worth the price paid.

We came down to Temecula with another couple and stayed at Churon. It was a wonderful little B&B and we (all of us) would definitely stay here again! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are huge, and the bathroom is gorgeous with huge tubs! We were on the first floor and had a spectacular view, especially if you woke up early enough to see all of the hot air balloons above the wineries. The breakfast was great, and the staff was decent. The front desk lady wasn't overtly helpful (and she did yell at us as we came in at the end of the free wine hour to tell us we couldn't have any, and even went so far as to call down to tell the people pouring we couldn't have any- but they let us have a glass anyway). The only other reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is I like to sleep cold, and since we were on the first floor I didn't feel comfortable sleeping with our door open and the coldest I could set the A/C was 70. The fireplace would be nice in the winter, but I defintely would have liked to have been able to make it a little cooler (especially after wine tasting all day) Yes, the place is a little older, there are some cracks in the walls, our bedframe was broken, and there is floral wallpaper. That being said, the location is awesome, the views are beautiful, it was quiet and comfortable. If I could find another deal to stay- I definitely would!

This is a beautiful Inn you drive up a long drive way and you are greeted with the view of the lovely building. The check in counter is located in the foyer of the building which features a mural of hot air balloons on the round celling. Our room was really lovely we have french doors that opened up to beautiful grounds. The bathroom had a large soaking tub big enough for two and a fireplace. We had an amazing time here and we even got engaged while staying here so it is defiantly a very special place for me and my Man. I would really recommend staying at this very romantic and cozy Inn. p.s. They have a really great wine pairing meal that you'll need to make reservations for but it is totally worth it.

What a place! A medium sized bed and breakfast within the vineyard. We stayed in the Zinfandel Suite, overlooking the northern edge of the property. Room was well appointed with a king bed, fireplace, large, private terrace, jacuzzi tub, glass enclosed shower (room enough for 2) and a kick ass surround system. At 5pm, the winery hosts a private tasting with passed appetizers for guests only. This is a great way to end the afternoon and relax prior to hitting the road for dinner. In the morning, a cooked to order breakfast is available in the dining room. The food quality is great. Selections are fresh, hot and quickly served by the Inn's excellent staff. Check out their web page. Rates are better during the mid-week. It's nice to have a place to stay after a long day of wine tasting. The Inn at Churon certainly is that. innatchuronwinery.com

We spent a Saturday night there and while it was OK, it left a lot to be desired for the price. First thing we noticed as we checked in were the dead flowers in the lobby. How hard can it be to at least throw out the dead ones? Our room was good, but the hallways and public areas were not only dated, but the wallpaper was peeling, paint was needed and the windows were cloudy where the seals had failed. Landscaping for a winery was surprisingly run down. Breakfast was also OK, but hardly the gourmet we had been promised. My suggestion is to stay at the Embassy Suites near the freeway until Ponte opens in 2012. At luxury prices, this was a Motel 6 experience. DES

We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary here last night and we are SO glad we chose to stay here!!! The bathroom in the room was aaaaamazing!!! That's worth 5 stars right there! The jacuzzi tub was fabulous and the shower and double vanity was soooo nice. The bed was uber big and comphy and breakfast was quite delish! Not to mention the awesome hour of free wine included in our stay. The Gold Nectar is to die for. The bartenders were really sweet and super helpful, and the front desk staff was very accomodating. We were given a floor on the first room but upon request, they gave us a second-floor room instead, which was great because we could sleep with the door open. And the fireplace was another added bonus! Needless to say, we enjoyed our stay! We joined the wine club on the spot and already have our next stay booked!

We stayed one night and it was ok.They have a happy hour from 5 to 6 pm where all wine tastings are free plus assorted cheeses and crackers. The rooms are fairly nice but the propetry needs some TLC. We stayed there just a few nights after christmas and the property was dark at nighttime even though you could see they had outside lights everywhere. This made the ambiance uninviting. If it was lit up it would have been alot nicer. Probably will try one of the other winery"s next time.

This place is also known as Churon Winery when searching on yelp. Overall horrible. Will never go back. If you got some time ... read the rest of this review but to put it in simple words ... only go here if you'rr drunk from all the wine drinking and you have no other place to go. We had reservations ... Paid almost $300.00 for one night with breakfast & wine tasting. As we entered the front door, smelled something funky. My wife said something about it but I tried to brush it off and make the best of it. Got to the front desk to meet the rudest front desk lady/customer service/manager. We were there early thinking that check-in was @ 1pm or so but check-in was @ 3pm. I didn't mind so much since we didn't asked on the phone ... until she said that we were already warned about the 3pm check-in on the phone when we booked the room. Again It didn't really bother me that check-in was at 3pm ... not like we can't go somewhere to drink some wine and come back. The fact that she said that we were warned and we weren't ... it somewhat pissed me off. But again ... I'm kick back and was ready to move on. The lady up front continued the conversation and said that check-in everywhere else is @ 3pm or later at any hotel. This is where I felt like she was talking to us like we are not customers and that she's better than us. So we walked out to go look around for another place to stay. I wasn't happy after talking to this lady ... I wanted to cancel. 10 min. later ... we found another place with a 12pm check-in and called her to let her know that we like to cancel. She told us that she's the manager and that we can't cancel and to come back because she has our room ready. I found that funny ... the minute we find another place ... she got us our room. And she's the manager!!! How is this place in business with her being the manager. To avoid headaches and to not ruin our time away from home, we went back. Part of me said that at least she's making some effort to give us some customer service .... so we came back and decided to make the best of it again. Big mistake. We got our room key and were directed to park in the back so we can enter the door near our room. When we got there ... the door did not work. Walked back to the lady and she said that the door is broken and we have to go from the front. I went back to get our stuff when some nice gentleman who worked there opened the door for us from the inside with out her telling him. We walked up the stairs to the 2nd floor and that's when we smelled some kind of funky odor again. Smelled like armpit. The hallways are beat up and needs to be renovated if they want to charge what they do. We walked in our room and the room is nice. We were actually very happy with the room. Balcony with a good view. Fire place is nice. Bathroom is good size. Towel had a hole in it and are small. Overall good room and that's why I gave them one star. Later that day we did some wine tasting around town and came back for the one hour wine tasting. Wish we had more time but all good. Wine was okay. The next day we went in for the breakfast downstairs and was disappointed. Got one plate of Eggs Benedict each and it wasn't that great for me since it had too much lemon sauce or something like that. I didn't mind so much since I was hungry and I eat anything but I actually was thinking of not eating haha. My wife had a bite and that was enough for her. She hated it. I guess for the money we paid ... I was thinking they will have more food and better quality. When we check-out ... the lady knew we were unhappy. My wife didn't want to go in detail but since we just ate, my wife mentioned about the eggs benedict. The lady was so closed minded that she kept claiming that it's the best eggs benedict in town. That was a good laugh. Although we had a bad experience here ... we had a good time at other locations in Temecula.

Have stayed there 5-6 times. Always friendly and have responded to any concerns we had. Rooms are clean and view is great. Free wine tasting ,crackers ,cheese and fun time for guest only after they close. Just stayed December 3 and Enid Gessow the manager gave us a nice suprise with an upgraded room. Then the free breakfast has always been good. Had dinner once and food was good and atmosphere was quaint. Will go back before going to South Point anytime

I stayed here a year ago and it was amazing! It was during the temeculah film fest- it was September, mine and my boyfriends bdays and two year anniversary. Our band was playing the festival and we thought we would celebrate our three special days while we were there. Unfortunately all the hotels in the area were booked due to the festival. I was freakin out. The only room i could find was at a bad overpriced discount chain hotel... super romantic ;( ... until I checked Yelp and found the Inn at Churon Winery. I called and they had one room available... for $275 a night (choke!) I thanked her and told her that was a bit outta my price range. I explained the situation (anniversary, bdays, band playing, blah blah) she put me on hold to talk to the manager. Came back and offered me the room for $150 a night!!! When we arrived we were treated like rockstar newlyweds- the room was stunning, came with a complimentary bottle of red and white, french doors looking out to the rolling hills of the vineyard, king sized bed, fireplace, unbelievable. The service was amazing and the folks there even came to see our band play! I highly recommend this sweet bed and breakfast to anyone!.

Beautiful setting, excellent service and great access in wine country. The B&B's wineries are OK, but the rooms and dining are fine. Great jacuzzi tub and excellent views.

Just a beautiful place for a quick rejuvenation. I personally cannot wait to come back. It was very peaceful in the morning with the sun coming up over the vineyards that I really felt refreshed on a short stroll. It was a weekday so there were very few guests, which may have helped create the serenity. On arrival, the wine tasting was generous and the hostess provided us with excellent recommendations for both dinner that night and wineries to visit the next day. We received a discount on the room which made it a great value, and found the room and environment quite charming.

Loved it! My BF surprised me with a weekend at their Bed and Breakfast and we had an awesome time. The whole experience was very memorable. The service, room, wine tasting, dinner and complimentary breakfast was EXCELLENT. I even joined the wine club. We will definitely be going there again.

My daughter just got married here in a small outdoor ceremony. Everything was picture perfect. The grounds are breathtaking and needed almost no decoration-nature and the Inn provided that. The owner was right there to make sure everthing went just right and couldn't have been more helpful. All the staff was extremely helpful and the service was excellent. When we had a disaster with the cake we brought, it was taken care of by the chef and came out beautifully. The suite my daughter and her new husband stayed in was awesome. I cannot rave enough about this marvelous place!!!!!!!!
