Never care about the wait when it comes to Kushiyu! A MUST try. Asian roll, chicken wings, and shrimp on skewer are my top favorites. I've tried sushi everywhere- ranging from kabuki, wockano, nobu, koi, sushi roku, etc., but they never fail me. Loveeeee it! Great service as well.

The sushi chefs and owners will know your name. They have a magnum size sake bottle. White fish with diced veggies is delicious, lemon roll, albacore sashimi, and rice cake with half and half also very delicious. Always a wait. Always packed.

A bunch of hype, quality and quantity was mediocre. The Yelp reviews fooled us. Is rather eat at Midori, Tomo, even Hokkaido. The people that go here dont know what sushi is. The specialty rolls were limited.

Amazing amazing amazing sushi I've never been disappointed The fish is always a fresh and they have some of the best rolls The only bad part... is there is always a wait... but that means that their sushi is just that good If you want affordable sushi with amazing taste.. go here :)

Great family Sushi restaurant, always packed and busy. Been eating here for over 20 years now, same great taste and same great freshness. My favorite here are the sea bass skewers, it cannot be prepared any better, it is simply delicious. Recommended.

Katsu is the man. No, seriously, sit in front of him! Everything was spectacular! We ordered omakase and everything he prepared for us was amazing!!! If you know me, you know that I can eat uni until my teeth fall out. Well, the uni here is fresh...so delicious and buttery. It surely melted in my mouth with each bite. What blew me away (and GASP...more so than the uni that night) was the way he prepped the salmon. I am not one who enjoys salmon as much as others, but Katsu surely impressed us! I can't wait to go back, bring all my friends, and fight to sit in front of him at the bar. Thank you, Katsu, for a spectacular dining experience!

One of my favorite restaurants ever!!! I come here with my family probably once a week for the past 10 years. Sean, the owner, always treats us well and seats us right away. The sushi is always fresh and delicious! Must haves at Kushiyu: albacore special sashimi, lemon roll, green roll, spicy tuna rice cake, hiramiyuzu, qual eggs, baked sea bass handroll, and Nasu shishito (eggplant and shishito peppers).

yes and yes. A+ for service and for food. The only thing iI dislike about coming here is the parking situation. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping center so it isn't always easy to find a spot. I recommend making a reservation if you're coming for dinner (any day of the week). This place gets crazy busy. Spicy tuna tower is a must, as well as the baked sea bass hand roll and sea bass green roll. Food is amazing, i can't even list everything I've tried, but I have never had a bad roll. Also, they have a seasonal fig roll that you must try (it's a little on the sweet side, so I would save it for dessert :)

I tell you...I've been coming here for many years and it's always been good but last night, they excelled! All the fish was as fresh and as good a grade as you could hope for. The Albacore melted in your mouth and the ponzu sauce tuned it into a religious experience. The giant scallops were to die for, as was the mackerel, spicy tuna on rice cakes, the salmon, the lobster roll...and well...everything! In all seriousness...I could have eaten the entire thing over again!

Service here is horrible! The girl who sat us with the red hair was such a .......... (insert profanity here) apparently she is not used to working in busy places. I rather drive the distance and go to Yuzu sushi or Katsuya... never coming back Sushi is great quality which is why they get 2 stars but service sucks!

One of the worst places ever. They can not do pickup orders correctly, they don't even write it down!! Than they give you a bill and don't even tell you what it's for. Complete scam of a place, make sure you triple check your bill.

Rude! So I came here to pick up an order. I get that it was busy but as I arrived at the check in podium no one acknowledged me. Like not even look at me! I stood in the guys face! I figured I'd give him a sec to get his menus and whatever busy work he was doing together. The guy proceeded to play with the Menus while the girl just picked up the phone. Not one acknowledgement. The guy then proceeded to take a saki shot with some random dude waiting for his table! What!??? I literally had to barge my way to just say "hey! I'm here to pick up an order". Rude as hell. I watched as he greeted and spoke with every other person who came in here. I guess I wasn't the right shade. Im glad I don't eat sushi. If I did I'd never come here. It's crowded and the people who work here are rude and disrespectful. I guess if I weren't the color I was I could've been greeted with respect and a smile like everyone else. The folks at Kat-su-ya know how to treat people. Kushiyu is a wanna be upscale sushi restaurant. Never again. Thank God I was only picking up an order for someone else. He finally took my card to pay. Never brought it back. Picked up the food and the guy who gave it to me wouldn't even verify it was all there. As I left, I was just too pissed. Never. Again!!!

This place would easily be 5 stars in my book for the freshness, quality and taste of their sushi alone. Unfortunately, I have to subtract one star for the aloof and semi-cold service we received. Beyond an initial "hi," we were barely attended to. Waiters would frequently come by to pick up our empty dishes, but it was usually while they were in mid-conversation with other waiters. Definitely a bit rude, as other reviewers commented. Oh, but the food is truly excellent! We came here during lunch, but still opted to order a lot of the more expensive and famous dishes, even though their lunch specials are beyond awesome! Here's a rundown of what we tried: *Hamachi cilantro - such a simple dish with super fresh hamachi fish, a nice kick of citrus and freshly cut cilantro for an extra herb-y taste. Surprisingly very filling, too! *Yellowtail - one of my favorite dishes at any fancy sushi place, but Kushiyu definitely has one of the BEST yellowtail sashimi's I've EVER tasted! Literally melts in your mouth. *Spicy tuna on crispy rice - the rice was SO unbelievably crispy. I still prefer 4 on 6's version over Kushiyu's, but theirs is still better than Katsuya's. *Chilean sea bass skewers - wow, very moist and flavorful! *Chicken skewers - good, but not necessarily anything extraordinary *Crab hand roll - omg, how can you EVER go wrong with a crab hand roll?! The seaweed and crab is truly a winning combination. I have to get this everywhere I go and Kushiyu's version is great! *Spicy tuna hand roll - also highly delicious! They have amazing lunch specials that only cost around $9.99 for three hand rolls, a salad, and a miso soup?! A total freaking steal! I also like coming here for dinner, but just a warning - NEVER GET TAKEOUT FROM HERE. The one time we ordered some sushi to go, they totally flubbed up our order and gave us all the wrong things. They shorted us on what we ordered, so we ended up overpaying, which was totally uncool. Despite this really crappy incident, I've had decently good experiences with dining in (minus the service, which leaves much to be desired..).

This place is known for their skewers and I loved the shishito peppers on skewers. The fish was very good and our server was great. Definitely try to make a reservation but just get there and put your name in. We got seated in about 25 minutes (what the hostess estimated) on a Sunday evening.

AMAZING food, service, and atmosphere. Absolutely top notch in every aspect. Chief`s impeccable personal attention to my family & I, and the owner Shaun was a true gentleman. Absolutely 100% satisfied. This is THE place to experience the FINEST sushi and gourmet Japanese food. KUSHIYU is in a league of their own!

We went there for a early dinner while we were visiting our cousins in Tarzana. Sushi is fresh and very good. Tempura is crispy and not oily at all. The service was good and prompt! We enjoyed our sushi and each other 's company very much! Recommend to make a reservation for dinner as it gets busy

It's been a LONG time since I've been here, but I'm happy to say that their food is just as delicious as I remember. Came in on a Saturday evening at 7:30pm and my party of 3 was promptly seated. I'm talking about within 20 seconds of me walking through the door! We ordered the restaurant's most popular dishes, including some of our favorites: the lemon roll (delicious and refreshing!), the Asian roll, the crunchy green roll (my favorite-- eel tempura and cucumber, topped with avocado.. and a nest of fried green onion strings on top, YUM). We also got the Chilean sea bass skewer (2 skewers per order), hamachi jalapeno cilantro (thin slices of yellowtail in a light ponzu sauce), a bowl of shishito peppers and the white truffle oil snap peas. Everything was delicious and thankfully our service was TOP NOTCH that night. I've read previous reviews of less than desired and lackluster service, which can leave a terrible taste and totally ruin your evening. But I loved our waitress who was attentive, answered all our questions patiently during our ordering, and was generally present throughout our entire meal. Wish I got her name so I could give her proper kudos. But I also noticed that mostly every server that evening was efficient and nice. Only annoying thing: the other patrons. Is this a place to go and be seen at? I walked in and seriously people cannot be more obvious with their looking at you up and down. Keep your eyes to yourself. How awkward..

I had great time yesterday at 'Kushiyu ' . I called yesterday around 5 pm to make a reservation because I hate to wait , the lady on phone put me on hold and forgot about me . Bad start ha ? I called again and they said their next reservation is only after 9 pm . I wasn't worried because I knew the wait should be 10-20 min only . We got there at 9 and of course there is a line outside . We waited for 20 min and finely got seated . First thing I ordered was the sake , only 3$ for a small one . They served it hot and it was strong and nice ! We got some appetizers combinations . I love the see weed salad but they have it only small side dish . We had good time and stayed till they close . Tip : the crowd dress up

Okay this place has always been my favorite in the valley .... But it has changed a lot ...... The amount of fish they serve you is half of what it used to be and as great as the quality is I wish they at least try and keep it the way it worked ..... The only reason it's still filled with people is because it's still a popular hang out spots for us Persians ..... Haha come on man get it together

Went here for Mothers day. It wasn't that crazy busy as we expected. We were seated right away at the sushi bar. The first thing I liked was sushi men were all so nice and their service was genuine. Their smile made our dinner more pleasant. :) But I guess the server was busy, we had to wait for many things like menu, pen, check, drink...so we had to call them up a few times and that was my minus on the rate. The food was average, but some chicken skewers and sushi were great!

I wasn't really impressed. It was very very busy, but I guess I didn't know what to order. The waitress forgot some of our order and once I reminded her, she brought it out. Fish pieces were smaller than what I would normally get at my "home" sushi spot. It was really pricey for what we ended up getting. I did have the green tea ice tea, and it was okay too. Seems they just added the green tea powder and water.

Generally speaking, it is a good place to dine. The skewers are great, especially the sea bass and sword fish are very tender and yammi. Sushi is so so. Place is very crowded at dinner time and kind of noisy. The place is lacking the atmosphere of real sushi place. No Japanese welcome and goodbye greetings. It feels like a sushi place with Persian style. The place is fairly expensive, over $40 per person if you'd like to accompany your food with some sake or Japanese beer. I will not reccomand families with young children to go there as there's always a sagnificant waiting time and because the place is noisy.

This place has great rolls, sashimi and best of all is the skewers! I've been coming here for years and yes, service could be hit or miss but the sushi has been worth it! Some of my favorites: albacore special sashimi, lemon roll, lime roll, green roll, seabass skewer and chicken liver skewer. Yeah I said it, chicken liver at sushi and it's really yummy The downside is that they don't have sirraicha but they do make a good spicy mayo. I would also recommend making reservations when you're able to make it easier. There usually is a wait so saves time.

This resturant is amazingly delicious! I love this sushi place like no other. Their lunch specials are worth what you are getting and their fish quality is grade A. My favorite roll here is the sea bass cut roll and the white fish tempura. They are do die for! Although it is pricy compared to other sushi restaurants, I would recommend coming here to get some good sushi! You will definitely not regret going here!

This place has spectacular fish ! Ordered very simple sushi and each fish was perfection ! Hard to impress me . I'm not a big fan of large fusion sushi places with yakatori grills . But when you serve up the quality of sushi I just ate , do your thing !

I loooooove Kushiyu. This is my favorite sushi restaurant in LA. The fish is very fresh and all the rolls and appetizers are so flavorful! I got the sheshito peppers off the grill, as well as the beef skewers. TOO DIE FORRRRR! We couldn't stop ordering them. My favorite roll is the Lemon roll as well as the albacore appetizer. If you want amazing quality and fast service this is the place. Don't get discouraged by the long wait they tell you if you don't have a reservation. Its usually half of the time they say.

LOVE this place. Duhhhh! If you want to eat right, come here. If you want recommedations for their secret stuff that's not on the menu, then you should become my friend. Been dining here for 5+ years now. This place is my extended family. Everyone is so amazing and nice. The food is to die for. So many things to list but everything you order, you will enjoy

Good place. Although I'm new to LA, this didn't wow me. Food quality is what I expect within these woods but expected better considering the sushi staff were predominantly Japanese. Service was not terrible but again, I expected better. It wasn't too busy and it irked me that my table had crumpled up chopstick papers and plastic napkins until I asked them to get it out of my way. So I found the whole experience quite mediocre. I'm sure there's better out there..

First time here and I loved the food and atmosphere. Didn't have the best service by the waiter and tipped appropriately. I was then chased by the waiter in the parking lot being asked for more tip. Embarrassed by the situation in front of other patrons, I gave the waiter a $20 bill. Contacted the manager about the disgraceful experience and was informed that "this is America". I asked him if all his waiters chase customers to the parking lot asking for more tip and he mentioned they can do whatever they want and it had nothing to do with the resturant. Complete embarrassment and disgrace by management. I will never step foot there again although the sushi was delicious.

I'm a Valley native, went to elementary and middle school just up the street from Kushiyu, and know the area and restaurants pretty well. My wife, daughter and I just got home from dinner and we all feel disappointed. The service was fine, the food was just sub-par! My wife and I ate at Kushiyu once before, shortly after it opened -probably 7 or 8 years ago. Our memory is that it was decent, but maybe a bit pricey compared to other sushi places on Ventura Boulevard. We arrived just after 7, the restaurant was crowded, but we were seated almost immediately. Our waitress was prompt, we ordered drinks and food for our young daughter. We ordered a fried chicken appetizer (karaage) and rice for our daughter. The chicken was seasoned well but must have spent about 5 minutes too long in the fryer. The meat was overcooked and very stringy. But at least the flavor was okay. My daughter ate about a third of the appetizer portion, and decided to stick with the rice. My wife and I ordered kushiyaki (japanese skewers), one sushi roll from the specials list, sunomono (Japanese cucumber salad), and an appetizer from their daily specials. I forget what the appetizer was called, but it was baked scallops, shrimp and mushrooms in a sauce. NOTHING was good. We ate dinner her on a Wednesday night. The sunomono must have been made on Sunday or Monday. The cucumbers were extremely soggy, tasteless, and tasted like they had been sliced and kept in the refrigerator for a couple of days. The scallop/shrimp.mushroom appetizer was just not good. Again, it seemed like the scallops may have been old, or possibly not cleaned that well - they tasted like I would imagine a tide pool would taste. The dish was served in a small bowl, and I could not find any shrimp! There were soggy mushrooms though! The sauce was a mayonnaise sauce that had been burned when they cooked it under their salamander. I didn't even know one could burn mayo! The roll was okay, it was supposed to be from their specials, but it seemed like it was a simple tuna roll (tuna with rice wrapped in seaweed). Again, it was okay, but it was tiny, and not worth the 8-9 dollars that it cost. We ordered 5 different types of kushiyaki: Chicken meatballs - I didn't try this, but my wife said it was good. The only thing that was "good" all night. Chicken with Plum Paste - Unseasoned chicken breast strips with a citrus plum "paste" squirted on it. Tasted like it sounds. Think about cutting strips of chicken and just throwing them on the grill with nothing. Then put some citrusy sauce out of a ketchup squirt container on it. Not good. Beef - again, think of a thin slice of flap steak or something similar with no seasoning just thrown on the grill. It was stringy and chewy and had no seasoning! Shrimp - Large shrimp cooked over a flame on a skewer with no seasoning. It was okay because I like shrimp, but it wasn't "good." Swordfish - I would say the swordfish was just okay, as well. It was seasoned with soy sauce (or some other salty marinade) but was just okay. It was a bit "fishy" tasting, which, to me, says it was not as fresh as it should have been. All this came out to something like $65.00 - not a ton of money, but when you leave half the food and walk away unsatisfied it is a bummer. I can't believe how many great reviews this place has. I doubt we will be back.

After so many years this is still my go to place for sushi. Probably have been here over 100 times in the past 10 years and it's never disappointed. For high prices sushi you definitely get your money's worth here. The quality of fish has ever let me down. With sushi I'm a quality over quantity type. My favorites here are the lime roll, lemon roll, sea bass green roll and the salmon vegetable sashimi.

The food was good, the service was terrible. The sushi chef I was with had a problem with me I think. I don't believe I was particularly different from usual, but even if I did get on his nerve I believe it should be in his professionalism to still have a smile. He was sort of a jackass. I won't ever go here again.

Those spicy tuna on rice cracker things are addicting... But really, i come here mainly for yakitori (gizzards!) and their soboro don. It's solid for valley food.

Pricey as hell but one of the better places in this part of the valley. The selection of rolls here are great, but it really is quite overpriced for sushi. This place used to be a lot smaller but they more than doubled the space and ramped up the production while the quality has been steadily decreasing. That doesn't stop the crowds from showing up though. The prices are really what gets me though. Some of the things are written as MP (Market Price) which is pretty standard for most sushi restaurants. What is ridiculous is what they consider market price. The last time I was here, the sweet shrimp (ebi) and the sea urchin (uni) were both $18 per order, that's 2 pieces of sushi for $18. The other standard fish are about $5.50 per order (Tuna, yellowtail, etc.) Definitely on the high side. If you're in the area and you want some decent sushi, you could come here. But be prepared to pay some serious cash and deal with the crowds.

I have been here before for lunch and this is prob the last. Today I ordered the lunch special w 3 handrolls. All mediocre, soggy, too much rice (not balanced), hair in miso soup, no significant apologies. Nice space, but smelled like shampoo for some reason.

This place is great for Sushi.... If you come here expecting Nozawa level food at a discount, you're going to be sorely disappointed. The menu can be hit or miss, so you're going to want to play around to find the things you like. Quality is really excellent compared to the price point. I stick to the salmon (rich and buttery) and the albacore (soft and flavorful). The spicy salmon is pretty good too. The tobiko and inari are standard and safe. The tempura, as someone else has mentioned, is the go-to if you're craving something fried. Rolls and donburi quality is going to depend on contents. Again, tempura good. Katsu and grilled items, eh. Service is great... Flavor is about 3.5 stars

Trying to choose between sushi or kushiyaki is really freakin' painful. Raw or cooked? Cold or hot? At Kushiyu, you don't have to choose. In a the a strip mall across from "USArmenia" is kind of the last place you'd expect a Japanese restaurant, but it is was packed - wait for 2 on a Sat 20-30 mins, its big so it turns over fast. The parking lot is a joke, so be willing to park elsewhere and walk. The place is clean and fairly minimalist with a 270 degree bar around an open kitchen/grill. Try to sit at the bar if you can the sushi chefs were super friendly and fun to watch, service is solid. Also, great ventilation so cats and dogs won't be following you after you leave the restaurant. Food: - Kushiyaki: Squid, chicken meatballs, chicken gizzards, beef tongue - all solid. But the seabass - so good, they made it taste just like black cod! - Sushi - Gotta love a place that has o-toro - but the fish is average - Spicy Salmon Rice Cake - Similar but not quite as good as the one from Katsu-Ya - Lemon Roll - Unusual but not overwhelming, tasty - And thank you for supplying never ending mountains of white pickled ginger! ~$50/person incl t&t to get stuffed? Pretty reasonable for Japanese. Overall, come here for the kushiyaki but use the sushi as palate cleansers and to satiate that raw fish craving that you'd miss out on otherwise.

Definitely the best shushi in the valley. The only problem is the long waiting time if you don't have reservation... If you go there you must order the "Toni roll" and the "lemon roll" Sea Bass screws are great as well

Need I say more? This place is the best. Asian roll. Lemon roll. Rice cakes. Etc. If you haven't tried this place you're seriously missing out on some fresh sushi!

It makes me sad to write this review but the last experience i had there this past sat night left me in complete shock. Ive been a valley girl my whole life, ive been a regular at this place for years, its "me and my girls spot" its "my date with the hubby place" its "let me take the guest out of town place" And i vow to never step foot in that place again. We were there on sat night for a birthday party, about 30 people, anyone who comes here regularly knows the service isn't the best and the waitresses take your order as if they are doing you a favor, they are pricey and very cheap with condiments (spicy mayo) but we still come here and never complain cause the food is yummy. Sat night was a different story, i want to point out that 20 of the people i was with are also regulars and are in there about once a week. Back to sat night, service was terrible Our reservation was for 10 pm I waited until about 10:45 until i got my drink, and i didn't complain, i got up to get the mayo myself and i didn't complain, the waitress split the bill for us, so 20 were on 1 check and 10 were on the other check, i belonged to the 10 people group. The side of the table with the 20 people had already finished eating by the time we got our food, the waitress screwed up on some of the order, again we sat there waiting patiently and didn't complain. Finally we got the check, our bill. Was $570 the other side was about $1100 We noticed that on the bill there were 2 items we never received or ordered, We call the waitress, it was like trying to explain to a 1 year old, she didn't care to listen and kept saying we ordered it, she than called another waitress who we explained to her very nicely in english That there must be a mistake cause we never got these items, she also accused us that we did, we suggested that maybe they mixed it with the second check, but she didn't care to check it out on their bill, just kept repeating that we did get it. This is when this story turned simply disgusting, They called SEAN the manager, He Came to our table and didnt ask wt was going on, instead he started screaming in front of the whole restaurant "We work hard for you and you complaining" "We bring you food and you say no" "We work hard to make you food and you say no" Everyone looked at us and he didnt stop yelling, i found myself humiliated and in complete disbelief, while my friend who celebrated her birthday was trying to calm him down so that he "wont get mad at us" For simply pointing out the fact we didnt get these dishes. I got up and stood in front of him And said to him in these very words "We just had a table of over $1600 and your really making a big deal over a dish?" He yelled back with hand gestures, " than leave!" "Dont come back!" Again and again and again. They never took off the dishes we paid and left, its been a few days and i still cant get over it, i dont know any other restaurant that treats their loyal customers like garbage. I know the place is full all the time and he could care less about us but thats just wrong, and i hope that people who have had a bad experience there as well wont go back, maybe if they loose more customers they will change their ways. I would give it a big fat 0 if i could. So many other great places in the valley That they can learn from

Ok, so where do I start. First off, let me say sushi is my absolute favorite restaurant outing and I frequent many places. Well, I've been hearing about this place for a long time and finally bailed on my local spots and made a bit of an extra drive to give it a try. The reviews all looked pretty decent and when we arrived for lunch it was busy, good sign. Ok, so here's where it fell apart. From the second we walked in. TERRIBLE SERVICE right out of the gate. We got a seat at the bar but once we were there it took about 10 minutes before we even got someone to look our way. They forgot to bring miso soup when ordered, TWICE. Never once offered water or green tea refils until I tracked someone down. And hello, NO HOT TOWEL? For these prices and and such a nice place??? Another classic moment was when we were about ready to ask for our check a different server ask is if we were ready to order, we'd already been there over an hour, and that server had already talked to us at least twice. And for the final straw, I watched a very poor sushi chef prepare messy sushi for over an hour and I had to ask multiple times about sushi I'd ordered and he'd forgot to make. For the first time in my sushi history I actually canceled about four sushi orders because he either spaced out or took way way too long. Absolutely zero sushi bar vibe. Half the fun of sitting at the actual sushi bar, is having that one on one with the chef and getting some "Sushi Love". Not the place for that. I will say that the fish was fresh and tasty although made with ZERO LOVE. Will not be coming back to this way overrated sushi restaurant. If you want good sushi with a smaller vibe and not over crowded, loud, shitty service spot like this, try Brothers Sushi, The Sushi Spot or even Sugar Fish. All MUCH better. Two stars here is only for the fresh fish, otherwise a one star would be in order. Sorry.

Wish I could give this place no stars at all. yes their food is good, but the service is horrible!!! especially if you come in larger groups, the Manager there Sean along with the staff will smile at you as long as you don't dare to complain, and by complaining I mean tell them nicely that we were charged for something we didn't order, what a mistake that was, he stood in the middle of the restaurant and accused us of lying, he yelled and eventually told us to leave, our bill btw was $570.00 and we simply pointed out that the $12,00 dish they charged us was a mistake. He and his staff made a scene there, I will never step foot in there and I hope that this review will get to his superior so that he can send sean to learn what customer service is and maybe teach him some manners along the way.

Overpriced for the amount and quality of food. Not willing to accommodate for food sensitivities. Service was slooooow. Food was mediocre at best... besides the miso. Miso was good. That's why they get a star.

Kushiyu is my favorite sushi bar. I've never had anything there that was less than fresh and awesome. I love the sweet shrimp, spicy tuna in rice cakes, monk fish liver and calamari rolls.

The lemon roll, Asian roll, and jalapeno cilantro habachi are amongst my top favorite. Every time I have gone, the taste and quality has been consistent. It has never disappointed me or any of my guests. One of my favourite places for sure!

Some of the freshest sushi I've ever put in my mouth. The lemon roll is fantastic. Eating the sea bass skewers are like having an outer-body experience and you never want it to end. The albacore sashimi with fried garlic is amazingly prepared. And the lunch special is a great deal!! The corn tempura salad is also very good. Highly recommended. The 818 knows what's up.

This place deserves 5 stars for the sushi but im sorry service in there is horrible... This last time i was there i waited 5 minutes just to be greeted at the door!!!! WTF!! I had to go sit myself! This place is for people who are locals here and they are the ones that will get the service that everyone should deserve.. But if you dont mind the service do try the albacore sashimi special and salmon tower :) ! Will i come back yes but just for to go!

I have been going to Kushiyu for over 10 years now. I have to say that when it comes to sushi I am extremely picky. I am a complete sushi snob. I do not do cheap sushi because you get what you pay for and when it comes to raw fish.. The last thing I want is low quality cheap fish. Kushiyu is a 10 in every aspect. The freshness, quality, taste service -everything! There is no other sushi that I would rather go to. Not only do they have sushi and rolls they also have kushiyaki which basically is a list of almost anything you want on skewers that are then BBQ'd. A few of my favorites are spicy tuna rice cakes, albacore special roll, albacore special sashimi, lemon roll, chicken liver skewer, Chilean sea bass skewer, shishito peppers etc. No matter what you order you really can't go wrong. The quality is good and the prices aren't outrageous like some other sushi places that just have the name. Overall: when i want sushi.... Kushiyu is where I go. Period. No reason to go anywhere else and either be disappointed or pay ridiculous prices for not as good food. Thanks Kushiyu and keep it up!!!

I love this place! The service and quality of food was great! The quantity of the meal was perfect!! The waiters, Gerber and Willy were awesome. They helped me pick my entree since it was my first time at a Japanese restaurant. Great service! Ill definitely return and share to others. Thanks!

Food is excellent and I can't wait to go back to eat their rolls. The service can be horrible. I took some high profile clients out to eat lunch here and it was shameful how bad the service was. I had to hunt down the waiter for my order , follow up on the order and the check. I almost went back towards the kitchen to find out what was going on because our food didn't come out for awhile. Three stars because service was poor so poor... But food is 5 plus !

my Freind lives close by so he set a time to go there,he is insisting that the sushi quality is comparable to Katsuya. Let me tell you this the place is good restaurant but not a sushi bar, has good and fresh fish but doesn't give you the feeling of sushi bar, service is slow but nice, very long wait, crowded, And parking is hard, overall good to go with Freind but not a great traditional sushi tasting joint.

Hands down the best sushi in la!!!! I drive all the way from the city almost every week to have sushi here. The sushi chefs are amazing and the service is on point. Best things to order: Seabass skewers Albacore special shashimi Princess roll with fried scallions Asian roll with seabass Spicy tuna crispy rice Albacore special roll Tempura corn Or just ask one of the sushi chefs to make you something special and that always turns out amazing. Everything is truly amazing here and it never disappoints!!

I have heard a lot about this place from my friends and family. Its hard when you are on the westside to venture out to the Valley but we made the trek and it was worth the food. At a glance Kushiyu is a no frills sushi restaurant on Ventura blvd in a strip mall. There is ample parking yet the interior decor and seating does not exude any sexiness. When you walk in you are hit with a big fish smell, there are tables around the big sushi bar where all the magic happens. We ordered "Crazy Milk" nigori saki and bottled water from Japan...I know crazy They had a few exciting rolls on the menu the Tony Roll and Oysters from New Zealand. The Green roll is like a argula salad with sushi rolls. Crispy rice with tuna - nothing special Sushito peppers - Very hot and spicy I really loved the Toro it was fresh and buttery and the Japanese beef skewers. The place gets really busy on a Saturday night so reservations are highly recommended and you should come in with an open mind to try to order new and exciting dishes.

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time. It's in the same strip mall as the Hummus Bar, and as a big fan of that place, I'd always seen a line for this place from the opposite end of the parking lot. Well when people talk about the good sushi on Ventura Blvd., places like Kushiyu is precisely what they mean. Excellent fish, great service, innovative and delicious rolls. This place has a large sushi bar if that's what you're into, and also a good amount of seating for those that prefer tables. The only downside is that this place is too popular! Granted I was there on a Saturday night, but the wait was at least 35 minutes. I know that is a good sign, but annoying nonetheless. I know they take reservations, so I would advise calling ahead. Parking is super convenient also. There's an underground garage with free parking as well as unenforced 30 minute spots at the street level. It's also a very nice atmosphere inside. Pretty nicely decorated. I do wish that there was a menu where they described what was in each roll. Fortunately, there is always someone nearby available to answer your questions. When I come back to visit home, I will be back.

This place is fantastic. The food is great and I love the kebob style they use to grill the meat and fish. They have excellent customer service. You need a reservation if going because it can get busy. Try the spicy tuna roll and the sea bass. The only thing that could have used more flavor was the salmon skin rolls. I usually like my salmon savory and flavorful and this dish was lacking both. Other than that I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place to everyone.

Fun, busy atmosphere. Good variety. As far as the food goes, not the biggest fan. We actually ended up canceling some of the orders ( after trying 3-4 dishes) and went back to Katsuya ( that's why both my tips are on the same date ) where chef Gen never disappoints. I am not saying its bad sushi, its just not good enough for me.

I went there last night, Tony roll is undoubtedly the most delicious !!!! Sushi # 1! I will always come back here because I never disappointed!:)))

The ambiance here is pretty chill but can get really loud during peak dining hours. The bar is a cool spot to hang out at, especially since they grill some of their menu items while you sip or down your sake. The main negative is that the place almost always smells like fish. Parking is very easy. The shipping center has additional underground parking. Food is pretty descent. Their lemon roll is delicious and pretty much anything from the grill is a good bet. Tip: sit at the bar and pour the chefs a shot, you will for sure be taken care of.

It's disappointing to have to write this review, but I just came back here after a long time (I used to love this place) and I was completely let down. The sushi chef which I remembered to be friendly made me feel uncomfortable and took away from my dining experience. The fish portions given for the sushi is much less than it was before. The quality of the fish is of course good, however, there are other places that do not charge as much with similar if not better quality fish, better portions, and a bigger selection to choose from. When the bill came, all sushi items were grouped together as one price (not broken down line by line). The people sitting next to us had the same issue with the way the bill was written up. How are you supposed to know if the bill is correct if it is written this way, or possibly split with another person? This is there way of getting away with charging even more I guess. This place is overpriced for the sushi and the service that you are receiving. The only reason people probably come back is because of the popularity this place has gained over the years, but I can definitely see that they are cutting corners now. Super disappointing. This will probably be the last time I come back here, as I have found much better places

If you only care about the food, this is the right place. Then, if you also care about receiving good service, I suggest you go elsewhere. Food: Both the fish and also the skewers were very good. Especially the skewers. We ordered beef, liver, heart, gizzard and salmon. Service: here's the problem. Aside from being very slow which we really didn't care much about, we found the waitress to be basically faking enjoying serving us. You could tell she had no patience and has this fake smile on her face. The best thing was when the busboy cleared our table by error, taking the rice I was still eating. When I told the waitress I had not finished my rice she first didn't believe me and then she asked how much of it I had eaten. I said "half"? And she said "so I will bring u half" and indeed ladies and gentlemen, she brought me half! I guess rice is an expensive commodity nowadays?
(2)
Sara L.
Never ever had a bad tasting meal here! However, their prices did go up recently while portion size got smaller, and they started putting a lot of extra unnecessary rice in the hand and cut rolls. The sushi chefs are very pleasant and quick as well as the bus boys. But the service staff and waitress's run by and very hard to catch their attention. They always leave you with a water without a straw, or. Miso soup without a spoon and your have to wait and extra 10 minutes to get your spoon or straw. The fish is great tasting and the grill has great options. Asian roll and lemon roll are my favorite and my all time favorite is the special albacore sashimi. Tastes like butter!

The only reason I gave it a two stars is because their spicy tuna crispy rice was better than most places I've had. Me and my three friends agreed we would NEVER come back here again. Terrible service, our server Grace was cold and unhelpful. I work in a retail environment and I know how important it is to be welcoming and personable, a fly had more personality. Every question we asked got a dry response, and before you knew it she walked away without notice. I get it, it's a high pressure job but with EFFORT she couldn't have been ruder. Also if you don't like people, or don't work well under pressure find another job. Disappointing after being recommended to Try it by a friend.

check your bill people, I have to say love their food, but they always pad the bill with extra charges under the header sushi, if you've had too much to drink its open season, got banged for $450 for a party of 4, I was about to pay without realizing anything since I had 2 bottles of saki when I noticed under saki they had hit me for 4 bottles. Well this really was not the first time, they always get me under the header of sushi, even if you ask to break it down they still wont do it. When I confronted the waitress she knocked off , Get this $100 for saki & $30 for sushi, Now, again this was not the first time, it was just too aggressive. Most large groups cant keep a tab so the place makes them a great target. To the owner I say: ( You have lost so many because of this practice you approve of) I realize you don't care since so many of my friends have experienced the same thing and you keep doing it, Learn from Yuzu how to break a bill down and avoid the quick buck. That's why they expanded and will continue to grow.

Flawless food but not cheap. Lunch is a great way to experience this fresh delicate sushi in an affordable way.

Haven't been here in years so I thought I'd try it again. Had the oysters on the half shell, spicy rock shrimp tempura, albacore sashimi w garlic & jalapeños, & yellowtail sashimi w yuzu sauce on the side. The yuzu sauce was mainly mayo, barely yuzu. What should've been spicy...was bland. The oysters were fresh. Everything else was just meh. The fish didn't have amazing flavor as I expected. I guess that's the reason for so much sauce on everything. Maybe I didn't order the right things. I'm not big on the cooked skewers when I want sushi, so I can't really rate on that.

I recently came back here and I've decided that I'm not returning. The food is still delicious. Overpriced, but delicious. A party of 2 will easily spend over $100, but the prices here aren't the problem. The customer service at this place sucks. I recently went here for dinner and my party ordered 4 orders of the same custom sushi roll. It was 4 orders of the same exact sushi roll. When the meal was over and the the bill arrived, 2 of the rolls were billed at one price and the other 2 rolls were billed at another price. I asked the waiter why we were charged 2 different prices for the exact same sushi roll. He apologized and said he would fix it. When he returned he said that he had made an error and after correcting it the bill increased an additional $4.00. I told the waiter I thought it was a B.S. move to nickle and dime me by increasing the bill by a menial $4.00 when I am the one who pointed out the error. He disagreed. No problem because the $4.00 came out of his tip and I won't return to this overpriced place.

This place is clean, curtious, and delicious. We had our stroller with us and they immediately pulled aside a table for us so we could have our own comfortable and out of the way spot, very much appreciated for a sleeping baby. Service and food were excellent.

By far my favorite sushi place in the valley. I've lived in LA for 2 years after 30 in NYC so I think I know a good, unpretentious spot when I find one. Been here once or twice a month since I've been here and never had a single bad dish or experience (other than the waits and finding parking).

Starting to slip??? Significant dropoff in execution this last visit. The grilled items were often bland and dry. Saving on marinades and sauces? The waitresses were as pleasant and charming as usual but not enough of them. Complacency lurks in the shadows....

Absolutely love the sushi here!! Typically my family and I come to Kushiyu at least once a week and everyone always leaves happy. Favorite things to order: - Albacore special w/ onions - Asian Roll (we get ours with the sauce on the side) - Everything on the grill - Seabass skewers, meatballs, all the veggies - Lemon Roll - Albacore special roll - spicy tuna wrapped in cucumber Kushiyu is always busy and is pricey, but the food is well worth it.

This place has no respect to patrons they ignored our reservation and took people that came after us first after waiting more than one hour when they said twenty minutes. When I approached the receptionist to clarify she was rude and we had to leave because they have no respect for customers. I do not recommend coming here and waist your time.

I've been here twice now due to a friend's recommendation, they eat here at least once every week or two, and was pleasantly surprised. The first time I ate here I was gluten free which made it relatively hard to order, especially since their spicy tuna has soy sauce already mixed in but I managed to modify and find a few things here and there to enjoy with the help of the waiter. During the most recent, gluten filled visit, I was blown away by the deliciousness of their speciality rolls, the asian and lemon roll. I loved loved loved the asian roll (shrimp tempura on the inside, spicy tuna on the outside, covered with various sauces all over), eating all but one piece without realizing I had finished it. I was supposed to share that roll with the boyfriend...opps. I let him have most of the lemon roll to be fair. I also enjoyed their spicy tuna on rice cakes, which is generally hard to mess up, as well as their yellowtail sashimi. It's very unlike me to enjoy eating raw onion but it just worked in this dish. It was quite tasty. I'm relatively impartial about their robata options, I would definitely prefer to save room and calories for their sushi, however the rest of my party enjoy their fair share. This place gives revolving sushi/cho cho san, my previous favorite, a run for their money!

This place is always busy for a reason ! One of my favorite sushi places ever !!!! I love the lemon roll, and the albacore sashimi appetizer with jalapeño is amazing !! I also love the Chilean sea bass on the grill. Pretty much everything here is amazing ! Beer, saki, and sushi!!!

Come before their busiest hours and there will be no line. Our server was super nice too! For appetizers we chose the spring mix with calamari and it was great! The calamari had a nice crunch and fluffiness, though we wish they had a little more salad in it. Regardless it was yummy. Next came the skewers which were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. We got chicken with plum paste, miso beef, beef tongue, mushroom, and pork roll asparagus. They don't overcook the meat and although the it's very simple, the food is full of flavor and you can taste the smoked flavor which my bf loved! As for sushi, we ordered hamachi, tuna roll, lobster tempura roll, and the sweet and crunchy roll. First of all the fish was really fresh and tasted amazing. The hamachi kinda melted in my mouth. Tuna was a deep red and super fresh, so so good. None of that old rubbery brown tuna fish served at cheap sushi restaurants. As for the sweet crunchy roll, it was really good mainly because of the fried onions covered in their delicious eel sauce. My bf finished it all like chips! And lastly we had the lobster roll which was not amazing, but still very good. Anyways, we will definitely come again. Their sashimi plates, lemon roll, and dessert will be on my list :D

I love this place. They have the best sushi on the West Coast and the service is great. We get sushi here every time we're in town. The last time was around Christmas and I had a cold. I wasn't in the mood for sushi, so I got soup. The nikomi nabe was wonderful. It was the perfect meal for a cold Winter night.

I love kushiyu. The sushi has always been very tasty and good quality. The best part about kushiyu is their lunch special. For about 15 dollars you can get a sushi salad and rice cakes. I personally love to get the albacore salad and spicy tuna rice cakes.

I used to come here a lot. Forgot about it for a while and came back this past weekend. It was BETTER THAN EVER!! It was a busy Saturday night so we waited for 15 minutes and got seated at the counter. Our sushi chef was wonderful. He was so friendly and talented. Didn't complain if we asked him to customize something for us. Everything we ate was amazing. I could only remember that the lemon roll was one of my favorites. And it still is!! A MUST order item. I would recommend it to anyone who wants some great sushi for a fair price.

Kushiyu has been my favorite sushi place in the valley especially because I only eat the cooked sushi and they have a great variety. However, today I had a very different experience I went for lunch today because I was craving it and left very disappointed. The tempura shrimp in my corn crunch roll (which is my fave) seemed very old and had a plastic like texture! Seemed like maybe they had fried it last night and pawned it off on me today... It will definitely take me a while to get over this.. My husband prefers brothers sushi and I guess that's where we will be going from now on... This is a sad day for me!

By far the best sushi I've ever had! I consider myself a major sushi snob and tend to only like authentic places. Kushiyu is the perfect mix of both. Great quality fish and fun rolls. Definitely try the lemon roll, albacore special sashimi and my new favorite chefs special princess roll.

This place, the people The the the that melt in your month. Every time we go their hmmmm Lemon roll the BBQ the appetizer everything is fresh, quality, taste service -everything! I've been going to Kushiyu now for many years (since 2005), so I figure I'm way overdue for a review...maybe I've been trying to keep this place a secret. So I certainly appreciate quality sashimi and can tell the difference...yes I love Sugarfish, but I do love this place too. I know both serve sushi, but I don't compare the two--apples and oranges. I love all the sushi rolls really but the ones I must order every time--the ones I get cravings for that bring me back in for dinner--are the following: the lemon roll, asian roll, sea bass green roll, and the crunchy roll (crispy tempura wrapped in cucumber). The same goes for the albacore sashimi and spicy tuna rice cake. Oh how I wish there was a location in West LA where I live. For now, I guess this will be the one reason why I ever venture into the valley.

great food, however sometimes a long wait to get seated.

This place was fine I went to Wabi-sabi sushi in venice with my cousin and it was amazing. she mentioned how much she loves this place and took me here with our other friend. the food was great. i mean specially the BBQs were amazing. it was a good time. my only issue was that 1. it was a little expensive. wabi-sabi was a fancier place, we were less people (bill split amongst less people) and had more food and it ended up being less 2. the restaurant itself is not great. SUPER loud. i could hear every table around me. not just noise but actually hear what everyone is saying without even paying attention. its tight so its awkward when the people that are waiting are standing by your table staring at you. 3. and yeah the food tastes amazing but i had stomach problems after. all and all i would come back if i get invited cause some of the food is great but would not really bring someone or spend the time to come to Tarzana for this! heads up don't go to the yogurt place next to it! literally the worst yogurt i have ever had lol

This place is catered to wannabe sushi lovers that don't know better. The quality of fish is good. However along Ventura Blvd there are other places that do it better than this place with equal pricing.
(2)
Melody Z.
I love this place...minus the wait because even if you make a reservation you can still end up waiting 30 minutes so that's why I'm taking one star off. Okay the food is amazing. Everything is delicious, the fish is always fresh. I love the albacore salad with ponzu dressing .. So good! The sea-bass is delicious the rice cakes are good just ask them to be extra crispy... If I can give a tip to the customers if you see a long wait outside and you're done with your meal it would be nice if you got up and left after a few minutes instead of sitting there for 45! This isn't a coffee shop to just sit in and relax at.

One of the best Hidden Gems in the Valley . Very fresh Sushi. Taka and the rest of his sushi chefs prepare nothing but the best .
(5)

Okay where do I start... I'm thinking yellowtail sashimi then albacore special cut roll, spicy tuna on rice cake and last but not least the best of the best sea bass kushiyaki which by far is the best thing I ever tried at a sushi place. By the way chef Elio and Tony are my favorites.
(5)

Never popped in until my wife told me I had to try it. Service was OK. Not complaining but food was better. I'm a vegetarian and the veggie rolls were to die for. No one else can do it like them. Loved the experience. No Wonder they are so busy

Some of the best sushi you will ever have. Anything from the grill is outstanding. The fish is fresh every time you visit. Customer service is good but not great and that's probably because they are extremely busy all the time hence the 4 star review instead of 5. The wait time is pretty long on the weekends but if your willing to wait 30 min to an hour then you must give this place a try.
(4)
Doris D.
Love the Kushiyaki, try beef tongue. Sushi was good too but I had better other places. Customer service is top notch here. I will be back and hopefully parking won't be a hassle

As a fellow sushi eating eater I must say this place does disappoint with its selection first of all. I have had more selection at cheaper place and that's saying a lot. Server was poor as well as the waitress forgot items and could not remember our order. Probably the first and last time I come here.

Amazing Lemon roll was perfect, holy crap.... but the Chilean Sea Bass (skewers)...... wow... melted as it made contact with my tongue. I mean really. I can't even express how brilliant it is. Only issue with it was that... I wish there was more! Crunchy roll was great too, as was the green seabass roll. I didn't care for the spider roll I got though- small portion, not very special at all, meh quality (the legs tasted a bit burnt ), and not really worth the price (I've had much better at other places). Next time i'll just stick to the unique stuff rather than basic sushi roll menu stuff. Because the unique stuff...perfection. I wish it didn't close in the middle of the day. slightly pricy place, but quality is pretty good.

This place does not need any more good reviews but I still had to add another it is probably the freshest fish sushi that I have found in the valley and the skewers are a plus for me I live near Little Tokyo and I have access to great other places but I revisit this more often than not! If you are ever in the valley hands-down the best place for lunch specials great deals and super clean and fresh that's all I care about when I'm eating sushi and so should you!

Went here with a friend a few weeks ago and the sushi here is awesome. Food: The sushi here just can't be beat. They have a series of special rolls, we tried 2-3 of these and they were awesome. If you're a sushi lover, you'll love this secret tucked away in the valley. The rolls were excellent and the sushi was great overall. Service: We had to wait awhile to be seated because this place gets tons of business (and i'm not surprised that they're constantly packed). However, communicating with the sushi chef was simple and my Coca-Cola was refilled in a timely manner. Service here is just as good as the food, you just have be to prepared to wait awhile if you go during a weekday or weekend evening.

I came here yesterday for lunch for the first time. I was greeted by everyone like I was supposed too. I ordered my usual coke for now hot green tea after my meal. I received 4 different menus which had me confused. I am more of a visual person so I went on yelp! to look at pictures of other peoples food. I asked the sushi chef in front of me what was a honey roll, he spoke so fast while giving an attitude. As I found a picture I asked the sushi chef about the plate and what its called. he then said its not on the menu because it was a special order and that he couldn't make it. WTF! I never heard that before (especially when the ingredients were on the picture). The sushi chef chose not to help me, period. Within 15 mins of figuring shit out on my own... A regular customer came in and she helped me out. I ended up ordering the Salmon Tower ($11) & the only thing I can compliment about it was that the dish was pretty. It was really bland and for $11 it should've blown me away. Then I ordered the Beef Kushiyu w/ rice. No fuck up there. It was pretty decent. The Thai spot around the corner has better meat than them, though. While I was eating, I waited around to see if any staff would refill my coke or bring my hot green tea... None did. After the waitress took my drink order, I never saw her again. I was really disappointed here and treated unfairly. This is where I mean by treated unfairly. If you are a regular here, the staff kisses ass to the 10th degree. You get a kiss/handshake at the door. Your drinks are refilled quite often. You get checked on regularly. You get told the specials and the staff will describe whats in and out the rolls for there are no pictures on the menu, and your menus are clean. For a $25 bill and a fucked up service with mediocre food.. 1 star was given and a $1 tip. I will never be coming here again.

IMPECCABLE SERVICE !!!! me and my husband know this place for awhile , we never got it cause its always packed ! Then one night, we had to give it a try. And i must say.... BEST SUSHI WE EVER HAD We actually got seated after 25 min ( Shocking!) since it was really packed. They have so many option on their menu , Favorite thing to order : Spicy roll tuna - THE BEST IN TOWN baked salmon and the Crab hand roll it was so fresh and tasty. Bottom line - i think we found our neighborhood sushi restaurant. Great quality , Delicious food. - We highly recommend this place , to anyone who visits in town.

One of the best places to eat, but prepared to wait once order is placed. Long wait times great have dinner, lunch orders can take time especially when you order to pick up

My Fave! Freshest sashimi on Ventura Blvd! The specials are always amazing and don't even get me started with the Sea Bass skewer- We ordered it twice because it was so good! I tried truffle oil on the salmon, halibut, and yellow-tail sashimi (per chef's recommendation) and...(drum roll for the verdict...) Wow!! If you have not tried it yet, Kushiyu is where to go to try it! You're welcome.

My favorite role has to be the seabass green roll. Service is fast... The wait time is annoying... Especially when your really hungry. But overall their sushi is really good.

Even though there food is good the place always smells alittle too fishy in a bas way cant eat somewhere that stinks!

Love this place! The quality is always impeccable. The Chilean sea bass in foil is just a piece of heaven in your mouth. Four stars only because the menu has not changed for as long as I have frequented this place and it has been years. But I always recommend it for good solid sushi that won't disappoint.

My favorite sushi spot in the valley! We are always impressed with the service here, our water glasses are always filled and table always kept clean. I feel like the prices are fair here since when you see the quality of the food. We were a party of 3.5 (we had a baby with us) and we spent about $100. Be prepared to wait when you get here and they are closed midday. Check the hours before you go.

LOVED this spot! Tried it out on the recommendation of a friend. We walked in on a Friday night during the dinner rush with no reservations and were immediately able to snag 2 seats at the Sushi Bar. They have a pretty decent list of sake you can order and we definitely went for a bottle of the cold sake. We decided to order a mix of sushi and a mix of skewers. They have a special daily menu of whatever is fresh - all flown in from Japan which is great. I love an ever changing menu that adapts to whats in season. Their daily menu is pretty long too for a list of specials - it covers cold and hot appetizers, sushi, fish, skewers, rolls etc. For Sushi we had some of the basics but tried their specials of Black Snapper and Raw Octopus sushi. The black snapper was super tasty and fresh - the added sauce to it really set it off. The octopus is far less chewy then it is when it was cooked, super subtle flavors. For skewers we went with Chicken Wings, Chicken Hearts, Squid, Scallops, Asparagus w/ Pork - everything was delicious! They have one grill behind the sushi tables that grills up the meats and they were all amazing. I actually preferred them to the sushi. They had a nice char on them, were cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. The asparagus is wrapped in bacon and cooked really well - I'm very particular about how my asparagus is cooked and this was crisp and awesome. The chicken hearts tastted, well, like chicken! I loved them. The scallops were small bay scallops (bummer) but they were still tasty and very lightly cooked. The squid was not chewy at all and super tasty. Chicken wings are about 4 to a skewer and they were also really great - way better than the fried usual. Service was great and you can see your sushi and meat being prepared all at the same time. I was really happy with this place adn would definitely be coming back.

The food is very good. But never order a take out unless you want to sit there and count your sushi before you leave. I order a party platter and took it home. I mean who sits there and counts sushi on a party platter. So when I got home I called them and they talked to me like I was a moron. Trying to teach me what the sushi looks like, instead of just saying sorry , we made a mistake. I mean I did not want my money back and was not gonna drive back to pick up the missing sushi. Just the way it was handles was shameful! For that it deserves a 1 star. I mean the reason you pay lot of money for sushi is to feel good, and this place failed to deliver.

The worst. There was a fly in my food I asked to change the food and I saw with my own eyes that they shake the food and once the fly flew they brought back the food, it was gross. I didn't eat my food and asked for a check and when I got the bill my food was added when I told them did you seriously charged me for that the server took the bill and took of %20 . The worst experience. I would neverrrr everrrrr go there again ..

Yummy!!!! So good, green roll is delicious, special albacore too, excellent sushi, love it, will defiantly go there again. reservation is required cause its full inn all times.
(5)
Janet E.
Be careful. If you order a BSC roll, they will charge you for two rolls and give you the equivalent of one roll. They charge you twice, so they say, because of adding the scallops. Had you ordered a scallop roll and a california roll, you would have two rolls. Not here.

By far my favorite sushi restaurant in the world... The quality is perfect... The chefs are truly passionate about their work, and you can tell! If you're a couple people I would recommend sitting at the bar.. It's a more personal experience and the chefs are entertaining :). You can't go wrong in ordering... Everything is AMAZING

The food is well above average. The waiter was funny, helpful and consistently helping us at the right time. The food was fresh. The ginger was fresher then most place. This place is really good food. The price is worth it. everything we ordered was amazing!

Cindy R.
We live close by to this place& decided to try it out since it always has a long line. We asked some people waiting there what they recommended& first off they said the albacore roll. That was the first thing we ordered & ohhh boy was that delicious& fresh. I don't remember exactly what we ordered anymore but every thing we did was very fresh. I haven't had sushi this good ever!

I was expecting a lot and was disappointed. As you know rice is very important in sushi and it lacked flavor. The fish itself was not of quality also considering that it was a Friday night. Service was fine but the food was mediocre at best. I don't think Tarzanians know what good sushi is.

The best sushi place in the area hands down, and their kushiyaki is phenomenal. I've never had Chilean sea bass so good as it is here. It almost melts in your mouth without having to chew it. The sushi is fantastic too, and all of their ingredients are extremely high quality. If you stick to one of their lunch specials it's actually decently priced, but that defeats the purpose of going here in my opinion. This is the place to go to indulge on an fine selection of high quality sushi/sashimi and kushiyaki. That said, this still became on of the lunch favorites at the office, and all of our fairwell and welcome lunches were hosted here. If you're looking for good sushi, this is the best in the area by a long shot.

Yasmin J.
Uses to be a favorite spot of mine. NOT anymore! The quality of Fish has gone way down. They pre-make their Albacore sashimi platter !! (Who does that?!?) The service sucks. They overcharge you on your bill, hoping you don't catch it. (But I've caught it 3 times now). Enough is enough. No more.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to and the quality is A+ every time. The BBQ Chilean Sea Bass is AMAZING!!! Make sure to sit at the bar. It's just not the same sitting at the tables. Food: 9/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Service: 8/10

The BEST sushi ever!!! We are always here :) try the: tony roll, green roll, salmon tempura, honey roll. We have celebrated pretty much every occasion here...anniversary, birthday, valentine's... and we never regret it. Shawn, the manager, is an awesome person. Very welcoming, professional, and sits you down on time. You won't regret going here, enjoy!!!

Good place. Best sushi chef in the world, very funny, and really nice. My mom's boyfriend took us here and it was better than EN SUSHI, CALIFORNIA SUSHI FACTORY, AND B.A.D SUSHI
(5)

Lunch special's weren't exciting at all. My spicy albacore hand rolls were meh. Seaweed was soggy and rubbery, not at all fresh. Service was slow as an old turtle. Only thing I actually enjoyed was the miso soup.

One of the best sushi spots in the valley! I liked it a lot and everything was so fresh! I recommend u make a Reservations because it gets super packed.

The food is well above average. The service is stellar when I went. The waiter was consistently helping us at the right time. The food was fresh. The ginger was fresher then most place. This place is really good food. The price is worth it. This place is so good, it is very crowded. Very very crowded. Line is out the door on a Wednesday night. I waited 45 minutes outside to sit on a Saturday night. Minus one star for having such a large crowd. BUT the large crowd means this place is really good. The place is excellent, so excellent that it suffers from its excellence in the category of waiting for a seat.

Needed a place for a quick dinner on New Years Eve that wasn't going to cost 100 bucks a person (we were going to a party afterward.) Stopped in at Kushiyu. We'd been there a couple times before and were happy to grab seats at the bar without a wait. The fish was fresh, the rolls were well assembled and nicely balanced, and we had a generally good, quick meal. I love that they've got a variety of the classics and some really unique rolls (tempura corn is GENIUS.) I also enjoyed some treats from the kushiyaki - chicken skin, shishito peppers and some beef. All delicious. 2 reasons the place doesn't get a full 5 stars. 1 - sushi bar so crowded that the guy next to me was half on my lap the entire time. 2 - really hard to flag down a waiter for drinks.
(4)
Elizabeth S.
Went to Kushiyu for the first time the other day. It was a little busy, as expected, but the food and service was good. The seabass green roll and lemon roll were great. I also ordered a refreshing iced green tea. Definitely would recommend to others!

Some of the sushi chefs have serious problems with customer service (DON'T SIT AT THE BAR). Apparently, they seem to think at times that they are an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant and will even refuse to serve soy sauce to some customers, while serving it to everyone else, just to make a point about what is authentic and what is not. I have seen this happen multiple times. Take a look around, you are in the heart of the valley and your menu consists mainly of AMERICAN SUSHI! If you are unhappy with your job, serving non- authentic Japanese sushi, then go to an authentic restaurant that will have you. Until then, be nice your customers. They are not there to feel guilt or be told what they should eat. But for the price, the sushi is fine.

OMG. this place was absolutely amazing. amazing i say! the interior is extremely pleasant, airy, brightly lit with natural lighting, and very modern. doesnt really look like a traditional sushi restaurant. also, the sushi bar is a circular large area in the middle of the restaurant, very open, with someone standing in front of a fire pit/grill thing in the very center of it all. word of warning is that they are extremely busy, and you gotta get here early to sit at the bar. i came with someone who had been coming to this sushi place for a long, long time and knew a sushi man who made us delicious sushi and sashimi. i didnt even have to look at the menu...so although i tried a variety of different things, im not sure of the names. i shall describe a few memoriable items below: -sashimi with yellowtail and truffle oil, which i dont even know if its on their menu but was strangely so complementary and delicious. -baby squids. apparently, the tiniest squids in existence. strangely chewy and tasty. -mackeral. i usually dont do mackeral, bc ive always felt that it is a little bit too fishy for me, but this one was tasteful and rekindled my love for trying different types of fish!! apparently, these are from korea which is bought on the mornings from a special boat/fisherman when it is especially fresh??? -chicken kabob thing. the slightly crispy/burnt fire grill taste and the tender interior...omg yum... their chicken kabob thing fired on their grill (that apparently is straight from japan) that tastes of the fire and is so fresh ahh all in all, one of the best and freshest sushi experiences ive ever had. all the fish was exquisitely delicious and melt-in-your-mouth heavenly. definitely sit at the bar. and ask for something with truffle oil.

Good food, definitely worth a return visit. I had the Chilean Sea Bass skewer, uni and yellowtail. It was crowded, so service was slow, but that worked for our little group.

(5)A S.
The sushi chefs and owners will know your name. They have a magnum size sake bottle. White fish with diced veggies is delicious, lemon roll, albacore sashimi, and rice cake with half and half also very delicious. Always a wait. Always packed.
(5)Jeremiah P.
A bunch of hype, quality and quantity was mediocre. The Yelp reviews fooled us. Is rather eat at Midori, Tomo, even Hokkaido. The people that go here dont know what sushi is. The specialty rolls were limited.
(3)Neta A.
Amazing amazing amazing sushi I've never been disappointed The fish is always a fresh and they have some of the best rolls The only bad part... is there is always a wait... but that means that their sushi is just that good If you want affordable sushi with amazing taste.. go here :)
(5)Mike A.
Great family Sushi restaurant, always packed and busy. Been eating here for over 20 years now, same great taste and same great freshness. My favorite here are the sea bass skewers, it cannot be prepared any better, it is simply delicious. Recommended.
(4)Justine Y.
(5)Melanie G.
(5)Fenny C.
yes and yes.
(5)Eli L.
Best sushi in this area love the food
(5)David S.
(5)Angie B.
(2)Greg K.
One of the worst places ever. They can not do pickup orders correctly, they don't even write it down!! Than they give you a bill and don't even tell you what it's for. Complete scam of a place, make sure you triple check your bill.
(1)Tanda M.
Never. Again!!!
(1)Judy P.
As always this place is amazing. Master sushi Taka San never disappoint with us his own creativity
(5)Nancy T.
(4)Emily B.
This place is known for their skewers and I loved the shishito peppers on skewers. The fish was very good and our server was great. Definitely try to make a reservation but just get there and put your name in. We got seated in about 25 minutes (what the hostess estimated) on a Sunday evening.
(4)Mat R.
(5)Afshan L.
(4)Sophie F.
(5)Phoenixblaster F.
The food is really good but the service is a little slow Although the food is really good. I love your sushi and I love the salmon sushi
(4)Laura B.
Tip : the crowd dress up
(5)Nazy J.
(3)Desire D.
BEWARE got horribly ill with FOOD POISONING after eating at this place. The customer service here is horrible as well!! Turned off by sushi after horrible experience here and definitely not coming back to this place. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
(1)Glor L.
(4)Eric F.
Love this place. One of my favorite. Excellent sushi & yakitori grill. Friendly staff, great energy.
(5)Missy M.
(2)Lior O.
(3)Ellie M.
(4)Dana R.
You will come out of this place with your hair and clothes smelling like Korean bbq. Sushi is great but service and manager need some work.
(3)David J.
The fish is fresh very tasty. Always busy. The staff is friendly and on top of it. If you want and like sushi this is the place.
(5)Tiffanie T.
Delicious Chilean sea bass!! Tasty sushi and only the best selection of Sake around. The servers are awesome and helpful. Definitely try this place out! I'll be going back one day.
(5)Yasha A.
(5)David R.
This place has spectacular fish ! Ordered very simple sushi and each fish was perfection ! Hard to impress me . I'm not a big fan of large fusion sushi places with yakatori grills . But when you serve up the quality of sushi I just ate , do your thing !
(5)Iskui O.
(5)Nahal K.
(5)Thessa V.
(3)Shant C.

(5)Kenji G.
The food was good, the service was terrible. The sushi chef I was with had a problem with me I think. I don't believe I was particularly different from usual, but even if I did get on his nerve I believe it should be in his professionalism to still have a smile. He was sort of a jackass. I won't ever go here again.
(1). ..
Those spicy tuna on rice cracker things are addicting... But really, i come here mainly for yakitori (gizzards!) and their soboro don. It's solid for valley food.
(4)T H.
I have been coming here for years and the food and service have always been consistently great! I love all of their dishes and like to switch it up every time I go in. Definitely try the halibut appetizer, lemon roll, and lime roll. My favs!

(3)Coco M.

(4)Itay S.
Definitely the best shushi in the valley. The only problem is the long waiting time if you don't have reservation... If you go there you must order the "Toni roll" and the "lemon roll" Sea Bass screws are great as well
(5)Shabby K.

Sorry.
(2)Karin L.
(1)Mike H.
Overpriced for the amount and quality of food. Not willing to accommodate for food sensitivities. Service was slooooow. Food was mediocre at best... besides the miso. Miso was good. That's why they get a star.
(1)Julie T.
Kushiyu is my favorite sushi bar. I've never had anything there that was less than fresh and awesome. I love the sweet shrimp, spicy tuna in rice cakes, monk fish liver and calamari rolls.
(5)Jackie P.
The lemon roll, Asian roll, and jalapeno cilantro habachi are amongst my top favorite. Every time I have gone, the taste and quality has been consistent. It has never disappointed me or any of my guests. One of my favourite places for sure!
(5)Nicole H.
(5)Elvis A.
(3)Ida A.
(5)Caroline G.

My Favorite place is the SUSHI BAR:) Sean the Manager and all the Staff are always Extremely nice & patient, they always make me feel taken care of and put my mind at ease :) THANK YOU KUSHIYU!!! :) Wonderful hospitality every time... (5)Anthony R.
I love this place! The service and quality of food was great! The quantity of the meal was perfect!! The waiters, Gerber and Willy were awesome. They helped me pick my entree since it was my first time at a Japanese restaurant. Great service! Ill definitely return and share to others. Thanks!
(5)Tasha B.
(3)Armik M.
my Freind lives close by so he set a time to go there,he is insisting that the sushi quality is comparable to Katsuya. Let me tell you this the place is good restaurant but not a sushi bar, has good and fresh fish but doesn't give you the feeling of sushi bar, service is slow but nice, very long wait, crowded, And parking is hard, overall good to go with Freind but not a great traditional sushi tasting joint.
(4)Vixie S.
I come for the chicken hearts. The soosh is okay, I guess. The chicken hearts, though, are amazing.
(3)Natalie A.
(5)Ben P.
(4)Elliot P.
(4)Cortney C.
(4)Agnes K.
(3)Megi T.
I went there last night, Tony roll is undoubtedly the most delicious !!!! Sushi # 1! I will always come back here because I never disappointed!:)))
(5)Rose A.
(4)Yasmin M.
(1)Daniella C.
(2)Sara L.
(4)Diana B.
(2)T B.
check your bill people, I have to say love their food, but they always pad the bill with extra charges under the header sushi, if you've had too much to drink its open season, got banged for $450 for a party of 4, I was about to pay without realizing anything since I had 2 bottles of saki when I noticed under saki they had hit me for 4 bottles.
(1)Lauren L.
Flawless food but not cheap. Lunch is a great way to experience this fresh delicate sushi in an affordable way.
(4)Meli N.
(3)Mercedes J.
5 stars across great sushi! The best sushi I love the lemon roll, green roll, albacore sashimi service is great too! Very clean and fresh trust me it won't disappoint :)
(5)Sean R.

(5)Ross C.
By far my favorite sushi place in the valley. I've lived in LA for 2 years after 30 in NYC so I think I know a good, unpretentious spot when I find one. Been here once or twice a month since I've been here and never had a single bad dish or experience (other than the waits and finding parking).
(5)culinary o.
Starting to slip??? Significant dropoff in execution this last visit. The grilled items were often bland and dry. Saving on marinades and sauces? The waitresses were as pleasant and charming as usual but not enough of them. Complacency lurks in the shadows....
(2)Megan G.
(5)Eli S.
Great amazing food every time Love the place and service Albacore sashimi with a crispy onion on top He's definitely my favorite
(5)George S.
This place has no respect to patrons they ignored our reservation and took people that came after us first after waiting more than one hour when they said twenty minutes. When I approached the receptionist to clarify she was rude and we had to leave because they have no respect for customers. I do not recommend coming here and waist your time.
(1)Roxanne G.

Quality: good. The Sea Bass kabob was my favorite part if the meal. The service was excellent.
(3)Michelle M.
Love this place. Fresh sushi and fresh fish. Gets very crowded at some points but it's definitely worth the wait. Must try the Asian roll and the crispy rice spicy tuna. They are also open at lunch with great prices for sushi.
(4)Joe M.
Horrible customer service...if the restaurant is empty you should be able to sit down
(1)Oliver D.
(5)Alin K.
Kushiyu is a very good restaurant. Tried it for the first time a few days ago. The yakitori was great, esp. the sea bass. Would definitely recommend!
(5)Nana C.
(5)Odet H.
Best sushi place ever !!! I mean EVER! If u try this place you'll never eat anywhere else ! Friendly staff .
(5)Lizette K.
Amazing local sushi joint. Love this place. Fish is fresh and skewers are to die for!! I also recommend the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño's on top. You'll thank me later.
(5)Ariana D.
The best sushi place around! Let me just say the recipe they have for their spicy tuna is jesus! Definitely recommended !!
(5)Evelyn N.
LOVE this place! We always order the chilean sea bass, spicy shrimp on crispy rice cakes, lime roll, lemon roll, and albacore special sashimi. They're delicious! It can get very busy and affects their service, but overall this place is great.
(5)Lusy M.
I LOVE the baked salmon rolls.. they are so amazing!!!! The staff is very nice and helpful :)
(4)Angela M.
wanted to try this place for a long time because I heard they got the best sushi in the valley . * Line : First of all!! very important to make a reservation . we had to wait for 20-30 min . * Service : 4 stars . she forgot my soup and when I got it it was bad. * Food : it was ok 4.5 stars I dont understand whats the big deal! * place is very busy and better for big groups of people. Maybe I need t come again .. my friend told me I didnt have the right dishes
(4)Brian S.
(5)Zosya T.
I love kushiyu. The sushi has always been very tasty and good quality. The best part about kushiyu is their lunch special. For about 15 dollars you can get a sushi salad and rice cakes. I personally love to get the albacore salad and spicy tuna rice cakes.
(5)Tati S.
(5)Shawn S.
My favorite sushi spot, and I have sushi pretty often. Great quality sushi, nice dishes, and great service. I'm happy to write a positive review of this place.
(5)Bahar S.
(1)Chanel N.
nice sushi place to go with friends, good quality we went there Friday night it's usually busy but I like how the waiters can handle when is busy our waiter Grace she was very cool Thank u.
(4)Roya T.
Ate there last night and my husband and I both got violently ill from food poisoning all night. Beware.
(1)Liz A.
Incredible food! Definitely try the live sweet shrimp and the honey roll. Those two are my favorites by far, but everything on the menu is spectacular!
(5)Raumak R.
(5)Nicole D.
This place, the people The the the that melt in your month. Every time we go their hmmmm Lemon roll the BBQ the appetizer everything is fresh, quality, taste service -everything! There is no other sushi that I would rather go to. Not only do they have sushi and rolls they also have kushiyaki which basically is a list of almost anything you want on skewers that are then BBQ'd.
(5)Cheryl K.
(5)Tanaz G.
great food, however sometimes a long wait to get seated.
(4)Simone J.
Seriously the best sushi I ever had. People are friendly and Sushi chef Hélio is the best! Will definitely come back many times! Love this place !
(5)Idan D.
I love this place. Hands down, best Chilean Sea buss. Just a good place to hang with your friends and have a very high level sushi meal. I will definitely come back!
(5)Kelli A.
Great place as usual to go even for birthdays! I see teens here often eating sushi and since my kid is one of those sushi eating kids, he gets his favorite place as his birthday dinner !
(5)G R.
(3)Albert C.
This place is catered to wannabe sushi lovers that don't know better. The quality of fish is good. However along Ventura Blvd there are other places that do it better than this place with equal pricing.
(2)Melody Z.
(4)Mister F.
One of the best Hidden Gems in the Valley . Very fresh Sushi. Taka and the rest of his sushi chefs prepare nothing but the best .
(5)Gary G.
(5)Itay D.
Never popped in until my wife told me I had to try it. Service was OK. Not complaining but food was better. I'm a vegetarian and the veggie rolls were to die for. No one else can do it like them. Loved the experience. No Wonder they are so busy
(5)Abraham S.
(4)Doris D.
Love the Kushiyaki, try beef tongue. Sushi was good too but I had better other places. Customer service is top notch here. I will be back and hopefully parking won't be a hassle
(4)Doug G.
As a fellow sushi eating eater I must say this place does disappoint with its selection first of all. I have had more selection at cheaper place and that's saying a lot. Server was poor as well as the waitress forgot items and could not remember our order. Probably the first and last time I come here.
(1)Taty T.
(4)diva l.
(5)Kevin K.
(4)Vanessa C.

I used to hate SUSHI all my life. This is the second time that i eat it and love it. Really. The bar is amazing and all foods are tasty and fresh made. Strongly recommended.
(5)Lauren F.
(5)Stephanie S.
One of the best places to eat, but prepared to wait once order is placed. Long wait times great have dinner, lunch orders can take time especially when you order to pick up
(3)Yvette H.
(5)Shabnam J.
My favorite role has to be the seabass green roll. Service is fast... The wait time is annoying... Especially when your really hungry. But overall their sushi is really good.
(4)Lucky L.
Even though there food is good the place always smells alittle too fishy in a bas way cant eat somewhere that stinks!
(3)Jeromine E.
Love this place! The quality is always impeccable. The Chilean sea bass in foil is just a piece of heaven in your mouth. Four stars only because the menu has not changed for as long as I have frequented this place and it has been years. But I always recommend it for good solid sushi that won't disappoint.
(4)Arezo A.
(4)Lucy K.
(4)Rarely C.
(1)Alan B.
Excellent food and fresh. Friendly staff with excellent customer service.
(5)Diba S.
(1)Ashley R.
Yummy!!!! So good, green roll is delicious, special albacore too, excellent sushi, love it, will defiantly go there again. reservation is required cause its full inn all times.
(5)Janet E.
Be careful. If you order a BSC roll, they will charge you for two rolls and give you the equivalent of one roll. They charge you twice, so they say, because of adding the scallops. Had you ordered a scallop roll and a california roll, you would have two rolls. Not here.
(1)Jasmine S.
(5)Mira H.
The food is well above average. The waiter was funny, helpful and consistently helping us at the right time. The food was fresh. The ginger was fresher then most place. This place is really good food. The price is worth it. everything we ordered was amazing!
(5)Cindy R.
(5)J K.
I was expecting a lot and was disappointed. As you know rice is very important in sushi and it lacked flavor. The fish itself was not of quality also considering that it was a Friday night. Service was fine but the food was mediocre at best. I don't think Tarzanians know what good sushi is.
(3)Munch M.
(5)Yasmin J.
No more.
(1)Allen M.
(5)Robin G.
(5)Aviad M.
Good place. Best sushi chef in the world, very funny, and really nice. My mom's boyfriend took us here and it was better than EN SUSHI, CALIFORNIA SUSHI FACTORY, AND B.A.D SUSHI
(5)Jaime S.
Lunch special's weren't exciting at all. My spicy albacore hand rolls were meh. Seaweed was soggy and rubbery, not at all fresh. Service was slow as an old turtle. Only thing I actually enjoyed was the miso soup.
(3)Alfredo O.
One of the best sushi spots in the valley! I liked it a lot and everything was so fresh! I recommend u make a Reservations because it gets super packed.
(5)Marc T.
(4)Kate H.
(4)Elizabeth S.
Went to Kushiyu for the first time the other day. It was a little busy, as expected, but the food and service was good. The seabass green roll and lemon roll were great. I also ordered a refreshing iced green tea. Definitely would recommend to others!
(5)Ani A.
(1)Eileen K.
OMG. this place was absolutely amazing. amazing i say! the interior is extremely pleasant, airy, brightly lit with natural lighting, and very modern. doesnt really look like a traditional sushi restaurant. also, the sushi bar is a circular large area in the middle of the restaurant, very open, with someone standing in front of a fire pit/grill thing in the very center of it all. word of warning is that they are extremely busy, and you gotta get here early to sit at the bar. i came with someone who had been coming to this sushi place for a long, long time and knew a sushi man who made us delicious sushi and sashimi. i didnt even have to look at the menu...so although i tried a variety of different things, im not sure of the names. i shall describe a few memoriable items below: -sashimi with yellowtail and truffle oil, which i dont even know if its on their menu but was strangely so complementary and delicious.
(5)Keon A.
Great place, they serve sushi real good. But it's a little over priced. It does take a little more time to get the sushi but epic!
(5)Lee Ann M.
Good food, definitely worth a return visit. I had the Chilean Sea Bass skewer, uni and yellowtail. It was crowded, so service was slow, but that worked for our little group.
(4)Deborah Z.
Love this place! My family and I come in about twice a week. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because the staff isn't really attentive. I usually have to ask the servers 5 times for a refill of my drink until someone finally helps. Nonetheless, their sushi is amazing. My favorite is the spicy tuna salad with the spicy tuna on cucumbers and crispy rice spicy tuna or spicy shrimp. My favorite rolls are the seabass green roll, Asian roll, lemon roll (veggie lemon roll is good too). Favorite skewers are seabass, shrimp, shishito peppers, beef, eggplant, shiitake mushrooms. I also love the fruits creme brûlée. Their fish is always fresh and I can never get tired of eating here.
(4)Emad A.
Fantastic people, great atmosphere, and by the way the food is Devine. I highly recommend this place any time.
(5)Maral K.
This place is on the top of my sushi spot list! The quality of the food is always fresh... Service is fast! You will always see this place packed with people but the wait is never longer than it seems. Either way it's worth the wait. I love how you don't need to order off the menu- you simply tell them what you want. They will make anything! The albacore special, spicy tuna crispy rice, lemon roll, and the spicy albacore is delicious! Anytime I'm in the area- I'm here! :) Besides, we come here for my fiancé he loves the grilled items as well... Enjoy sushi lovers!
