Bunch of friends met here for one of my friend's birthdays. The service was good. The waiter had personality. But timing was a cross between attentive and slow. It was weird. We were placing our orders and then the server excused himself to serve another table, in the middle of our order. That was weird. And then we got the apps and we had to ask one of the busboys to refill our pita bread. The food was very delicious. I would definitely return here despite that oddity in food service.

I love this place. Great atmosphere, good decor, awesome food and friendly staff. I absolutely love the M'shakaleh, Mansaf and the Beriani Dajaj. The appetizer plate is pretty good and so is the lentil soup. If you are a foodie and have not visited this place, you have definitely missed something great!!!

The best middle eastern food in town, hands down. Great service and great atmosphere. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is so delicious and tasty. They are also vegetarian friendly, which is a bonus. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Sunnyvale. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

My wife and I are not a big fan of Mediterranean food. But I will not say that after visiting DishDash. Very nice place and food is awesome. We are vegetarian so were worried about the choice we will get. But there were plenty of choices and we really enjoyed a delicious food with wine. We will surely visit this place again. Too good :)

Great food. I've been for lunch and dinner and the food is always quality. Their babaganoush is a delicious appetizer. I can't remember all that I have ate, but their kebab was awesome. Most recently I had the Zahra which is either lamb chunks or shank with roasted cauliflower and yogurt sauce with saffron rice on the side. I know the shank is more expensive, but get it over the cubes. The shank is super tender and very flavorful. Great texture and no gamey taste. I'm not too big a fan on saffron rice, but since the dish was large enough, I didn't need to fill up on it either. Finish off your meal with the baklava crumble. Sweet caramely baklava crumbled on top of vanilla ice cream.

Many choices for restaurants on Sunnyvale's Murphy Avenue, but this is my favorite. All the dishes are wonderful, and the decor takes you away to the Middle East. Great spot for a romantic dinner, or on Wednesday evenings, you can sit outside and listen to live music.

Rarely does a restaurant meet all my expectations, but this place knocked it out of the park! Great food, great service and nice wine list. We had the maza sampler, chicken shawarma salad & Mansaf. Out of the three the mansaf was my favorite.. lots of flavors exploding in your mouth. Be sure to make a reservation as they get pretty busy on the weekends.

I love this place but make sure you either make reservations or get there before the lunch rush. the Shawarmas are excellent especially when you add Feta. Downside; they don't have their Shawarmas on their dinner menu but I rarely go there for dinner since I don't live in the Sunnyvale area; just work in the area. YUM YUM! :)

The place to go if you're thinking about eating at a Mediterranean spot in Sunnyvale. The way they prepare their salads are great. They are also great with suggestions and took their time to help me out with the dish I wanted. Customer service is excellent, but it can require some patience when the place gets crowded.

Excellent eastern mediterranean food. And what a great atmosphere. You might have to wait a little bit to get seated. When this happened to us, we just enjoyed the great weather outside across the street with a pint. When we were called about a free table we walked over and were very nicely surprised. We were a larger group, so we ordered a larger variety of appetizers. They were all excellent and very tasty. As a main entree I recommend the Sambusak Dajaj.

I loved this place. I visited based on other Yelp recommendations and I wasn't disappointed. I had the nomadic Lamb with rice and yogurt sauce. The Lamb was perfect and the sauce was delicious. We also ate the appetizer sampler. You REALLY have to be hungry to eat at this place because 1. There are way too many dishes to choose from 2. What you do get has large portions 3. It's delicious and you'll try to eat it all.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants! The food is fabulous...everything is good and I have tried just about everything! I love the lentil soup and mezzas. The main entrees are always delicious. I order food from DishDash for my company (for lunch and sometimes for dinner) and all of my coworkers rave about the food. You won't be disappointed.

What a great restaurant with a cool atmosphere and with excellent customer service! I took one of my friends out to dinner and asked for a quieter seat, and they got me the corner table right by the window. The food was great, and even though they were pretty busy, the food came fairly quickly. Make reservations- even on a Tuesday it was packed, so that just tells you how good they are! My server was Liliana and she was super sweet and got our dessert with a birthday candle and had a group sing happy Birthday. Great experience and I will definitely return!

I just love this place . Party in my mouth. I am so lucky to be living close, walking distance to it . Unfortunately it's so crowded all the time and I am not very patient , not 45 minutes to wait for food . The times I went, I was there right at 5pm to be seated ASAP and right when they open for lunch too . Maybe it's better , it gives me more time for my food to digest before the end of the day.

Best middle eastern restaurant I've found south of San Francisco. Food was great and they have all the middle eastern dishes I've missed since moving here.

This place rocks!! Their food is excellent and service is fast and friendly. I ordered the halibut dish, but they were out of the Halibut so I got the Se-bass and O.M.G was it tasty. It was on a bed of spinach in a tomato, lemon, garlic sauce. It was very fresh and healthy tasting. Can't wait to go back and have it again.

Definitely on the top of my list for places with excellent Mediterranean food. Dish dash is a local gem based in Sunnyvale downtown that serves amazing mediterranean food. The falafels are nice and crisp, just the way I like it and the food has a nice and rich taste to it. The ambience is also great and the servers are always smiling. The Zahra and Tabsi Falafel are to die for. I also really like the pita bread they serve with the oil and sesame. All in all, a fantastic dining experience.

i give Dish Dash five stars for being so fabulous!! decor is nice, food is amazing, and service is great even when busy. Definitely my favorite place. If you get a chance, try the masakelah (mispelled but you'll recognize the word on the menu) you'll be amazed at how a meatless dish taste soooo good. If i could take half a star, it would be for the noise level, but there would be no way i would give this place only four stars for something minor..When i first went to dish dash it was small, but due to its success they opened the wall and more than doubled their serving space. This place is obviously doing well

I had the lentil soup and some kind of chicken with rice and yogurt. It was tasty. I would definitely go back again and try the other dishes on the menu.

I'm not a big fan of the kind of food served here (Persian, Mediterranean?). Been here with colleagues here few times though. The items seem to be well made etc, but I had eaten better Shavarma etc elsewhere.

Definitely the best middle eastern food in sunnyvale . We ordered the babaghanouge and it was so good . The bread is so tasty. I ordered the fish and chicken which are well cooked and I really loved them. I like the place very much.

I will give this place 6 stars if I can. This is the best cooking I've tasted in the Bay Area, as far as Middle Eastern goes. They have brilliantly distinguish themselves from a plain boring kebab restaurant with their tasty menu. The service is great. The atmosphere is very nice. I am completely happy with everything here and will definitely come back.

Dish Dash is a wonderful restaurant right on Murphy St. in Sunnyvale. We have been there several times and have had great meals every time. One thing I want to promote about Dish Dash is their excellent catering service. I hosted a big all-day meeting at work and Dish Dash catered it. It was the best recommendation I could have made. It was a huge hit with the meeting attendees. Just amazing how positive everyone was about the lunch - made for a great afternoon of sessions.

Got the sampler platter of appetizer and that was delicious. Love being able to try all the different dips & flavors. I tried the beef kabob and it was decently cooked although I did order med well and it came out well done. I like the fact that it came with a tangy dipping sauce and the vegetables were well cooked and flavorful. My sister got the m'shakaleh vegetarian and that dish was delicious as well. Definitely would come back.

This place is a solid 4. The food is good. It's always packed every time I've been here. There's usually a long line/ wait. We should make reservations on Friday or Saturday nights but often we just go when we're in the area. The lamb shank was excellent. Everything else was good. They also give you a dip with pita that's pretty good. The service is great even though they're super busy. They try to cater to everyone. Maybe we'll remember to make reservations next time!

We went to DishDash for group lunch today. We ordered a plate of hummus, which I thought was okay, but lacked a little flavor. For my entree I ordered Tabsi with no rice. It's a minced lamb dish in vegetable mixed sauce. The minced lamb was soft and tasty, the sauce was flavorful, but nothing to write home about. I wanted a minced lamb kebab sort of thing, but they only had that in a wrap. The wait staff was attentive even though it was extremely busy. I can't comment about the price since I didn't pay for lunch. :) I'm only giving it a 3 because the food I tasted really didn't blow away my mind. I would like to go back again to try different dishes and see what others are talking about. Maybe for dinner some day.

FALAFEL WRAP Looks pretty small until you bite in to it. It's like 95% falafel and 5% other. Falafel was really good. Comes with a little side salad. HUMMUS Tasty. Plating is a bit pants (fancy) and has some olives and pickles. Pricey at 5 bucks. PRICE On the high end for what you are getting. ATMO Nice. Business lunch style. Outside seating is front walk style, which is nice. PARKING Fair amount of street parking. There is a large lot nearby though. OVERALL If the price was lower I'd be more likely to return. If people wanted to go, I'd go again.

If you can get a seat, it's well worth it. They've recently expanded and it's still not big enough. That says a lot. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The Chicken Shawarma wraps are to die for!

This place is always packed. Reservation definitely recommended. I went here twice and had superior customer service! All the waiters and bus boys are very attentive with the food and drinks. I absolutely love their hummus, the best I've ever had. The Shish Kebab are my absolute favorite! The mint hot tea was very interesting and delicious. The dessert that's highly recommended is the Baklava with vanilla bean ice cream, flakey cinnamon pastry with honey sauce! Yummalicious! The price is so fair! I'm very surprised that this place haven't gotten a Michelin Star! It's Michelin Recommended though.

AMAZING food... got 5 different dishes and a veggie spread plate. SO much food, with amazing meats. Standouts were the chicken wrapped in pastry and the curry-like dishes (forgot their names). Addicting stuff! Cost about $25/person total, which was worth the phenom food.

Love this place!! I've tried a few dishes here and I always come back to my favorite...MANSAF! Beautiful presentation, a pyramid of rice hiding soft and moist chunks of lamb, surrounded by aged yogurt, and topped with toasted almonds...Heaven! The atmosphere is very loud and lively and the service has always been great. Might be slow at times but they get really busy. Their Turkish Coffee is strong and great with the Baklava plate.

Quick service, and great food! The Kimmeh was my favorite. The phyllo w/ meat and sweet caramel sauce was really good too.

The service was slow, but the amazing kabobs made up for it :D I'd definitely eat here again, mmmmm!

Nice food....love the appetizers...the lamb is good, the chicken is good too... they love to give you a lot of time to talk and let you wait between courses.. it can be crowded in the evenings over the weekend and as a result a little noisy ( what with the music in the background playing...) also, it's a little expensive...but once in a while, not a bad idea to treat yourself to some rich, exotic food!

Great vegetarian options. I have to say that what stands out to me is their service. These guys are so nice. I've mostly come here with a bigger work group and they are always so accommodating and never get annoyed.

The place was very busy on the day I went (Friday evening). We were greeted quickly and offered the side tall tables because the other tables were full. We took it because we were pretty hungry. The atmosphere was dark and nice. I don't recall too much of the wall decor because we were seated in the hall way next to the kitchen. I did see a lot of their staff running around and cooking because they were that busy. We got warm pita bread with their balsamic vingerette and olive oil dip with sesame seeds. It was very good. I ordered the rack of lamb which is their most expensive dish $30 and also a cup of red wine for $6. The rack of lamb was very good the meat was tender. It came with spinach and mint dipping sauce which suited it well with rice with almonds in it. I really enjoyed the dish and the wine was good as well. When we looked around, people immediately came and asked us if we needed anything and refilled our water, the service was excellent even though they were busy. All in all, I was impressed with the food and would come again.

A really good place. Walked in got a seat at the counter. Cocktail, beer, johnny blue, wine, sampler app, wahoo, lamb rack, and turkish coffee. This place is so good for what you pay. I will never go to Evia again with this place around. Service was warm and clean. Really felt like I found a great place.........

They have outdoor seating! Might be nice during the day, not so much at night. Because Murphy is surrounded by bars, there are many people outside smoking nearby. Could be cause for an unpleasant dining experience. Food here is great! I always get the Beriani. I've tried it with Chicken, Beef and Lamb. I would say by far my favorite is Chicken. I always get their Mango Yogurt drink...so yummy. Another new favorite is their Baklava and Ice Cream dessert. If you want to try something new and different, come here. They'll ease you into Mediterranean Food. #396

This place is freakin awesome. I always get the M'shakaleh vegetarian and my fiance gets the lamb swarma. We generally go there on Saturday for lunch because there is no wait and we grocery shop at the farmer's market which is on that same street.

This place is popping during lunch and dinner just to show you how good it is. The portions are medium and prices are reasonable. It may seem a little cramped but there is another seating area that is adjacent to another establishment. Weirds set up but it works. You see a lot of tech people eating here during lunch. Reservations are a must during dinner time. The wraps are delicious and kabobs are to DIE for. Well, not really but you get my point. Overall, if you are feeling for something different, go here. There is plenty of choices for all different levels of eaters.

I'll keep this short : Food: Very very good! Tasty and delish! - I've been here a couple of times for lunch when I lived in santa clara and everything that I've had from their menu was yummo! Interior - Warm and cozy. Good for casual dining, date, family dining and business lunch. Service: Good. Attentive waitstaff.

It's a decent place to eat. i would like to give 3.5 stars. Have been there only couple of times. Being a veggie, they have pretty good collection. There falafels are tasty. Not so great collection of wines served by glass. Input from my friends, the lamb dishes are pretty good.

Been coming here a while now. The beriani dejaj is amazing! It has chicken, rice, raisins, potatoes, and almonds with a yogurt sauce. Yummy! I've tried other dishes, and they're good, too, but my favorite is still the beriani. I will say this: you won't be disappointed with a meal here. Atmosphere is pretty nice. I like the original portion of the restaurant better (they added another portion later on, it used to be a hooka lounge or something like that).
(4)

I had lunch there several times. I was happy each time. The food was good. The price is okay, lunch dishes ranged from $9 to $15 depending on what you order. Including drinks, the bill can be close to $20 after tax and tips. They also have wraps that are like burritos but with Middle Eastern fillings. Some of the dishes use yogurt in the sauce which can be a little too sour for me in some cases. I like their lamb Kabob, the wraps with fish filling. The mango drink is good too, but I prefer to drink it after the meal because sweet thick drink often decreases my appetite.

5 star for food! My favorite place to eat in downtown Sunnyvale for a nice sit-down meal! I always get the Mansaf. I would deduct half star for the waiting to get seated, but Yelp doesn't let me input 4.5 stars. You must go early if you're going during weekday lunch time, as it fills up very fast. Once, I made a reservation for a team lunch, but they still made all 8+ of us wait by the door for quite a while before seating us. They really need more space by the door for waiting or seat people faster.
I'm not a big Mediterranean food fan, but I love the food here! My favorites are the Beriani Dejaj and the Fatayer appetizer (that tahini date syrup sauce is magical)! When weather permits, I prefer to sit outdoors because it can get a little loud inside.

This place is awesome. Yet another typical-Silicon-Valley-lunch-destination. ;) I've been here a few times for lunch now... Service = Great Cleanliness = Great Menu = Great+ Food = Kick a$$!!! I would recommend the wraps and the sampler appetizer plates.

I've been to DishDash twice now, and both times it was an enjoyable experience; however, their entrees seem to be missing something. I've tried 5 of them, (through tasting other people's) and I haven't been impressed by any of them; they all seemed a bit off to me. One thing I noticed with the lentil soup, is that the chef seems to add salt when the dish really needs an acid. I had to fish a lemon out of my water to improve the soup; I think this is a problem some of the entrees have as well. The best thing about DishDash is their appetizers (the non-vegetarian ones). They are their saving grace. The mint tea is good too. 3.5 stars.

The Beriani Dejaj is my favorite dish. The food is great and the service is too. Go early for lunch or dinner. The place fills up quick and gets really crowded! There really isn't anymore that I can add except that I love this place!

Hmm, 93 reviews, what am I going to add ... Well, six of us had dinner there tonight and we all thought the food was great! It can't get any simpler than that :) I really liked the beer selection they had; I had a unique tasting Belgium beer and another beer called 'Foret' and they were both very enjoyable. C'mon down!

I had to try this place after seeing 4.5 stars with over 200 reviews and I'm glad I did! -Outstanding service -Awesome food -Nice ambiance My husband had the Reyash' (Rack of Lamb) and it came out to perfection. You get 4 chops surrounding a pile rice which was a good amount compared to other places. He hates veggies, so he didn't get the spinach that it comes with. I had the Beriani with Chicken instead of the Beef. It's surrounded by a yogurt cream sauce. The sauce was strange but delicious. The chocolate cake was great. I had the ice cream topped with Baklava which was just ok. The baklava wasn't warm enough. Definitely would go back!

I wanted to taste something real Mediterranean and not some American adoption. The Dish dash has got it. The simple pita Bread and the lentil dip was perfect to get your appetite going. The lamb shank had tons of delicious meat. The Beef Biriyani had the same creamy sauce as that of the lamb, but it brought out the flavor of perfectly cooked beef. The deserts are must... all of them. My recommendation, outside seating is best if the weather permits. The inside is loud, but if you like it that way..... I will go again and again and again.....

Introducing My Dancing Tastebuds! Dish Dash? Cute name for a restaurant. But I blurted out loud- what's in a name if they don't serve good food? Well I did have to sorta put my foot where my mouth is at Dish Dash. I read somewhere that their lamb wraps are excellent. So I ordered that sans the Feta Cheese. The first bite was an explosion of really strong flavor and some mystrerious sauce. My taste buds immediatley started dancing. I reached over and tried the same dish with the Feta Cheese this time and discovered I like mine with! Tastebuds did more dancing and a flip! Wow! I will definitely go back for more!! Good food, attentive staff and great taste in decor-why not?

After checking out the Yelp reviews for my favorite cafe (Piccino, in San Francisco), I started daydreaming about going to Dish Dash again. One of the few places I feel compelled to review, because it's so consistently good. The flatbread and dipping sauce alone, which is served before you order, are so good you can hardly stop and leave enough room for your meal! I'm not usually big on lamb, but the kebabs and Mansaf are very flavorful and tender here. Try the Sambusak Dajaj, a flaky filo dough with chicken, almonds, and a sauce that all melts in your mouth. Heavenly! The staff is great, and the wait is worth it!

Not a really big fan of ONIONS!!!! each dish had onions in it. But the service was really great she checked up on my table at least every ten minutes to see how we are doing my glass of water never reach below half way thats what I call service and it was slow that day as well... anyways my dish was the chicken kabob it was good not that filling im pretty much a picky eater not a fan of the rice either.

Well, I'm no middle eastern food expert but if I were to compare it to Truly Mediterranean in the Mission its only ok. The price quality ratio puts it in the 3 star range.

For some reason this place sticks in my mind like a jewel among restaurants... went there twice for lunch and both times absolutely pleasant experience. Had the Mango yogurt drink (like Indian Lassi) and the Lamb and rice dish swimming in flavored yogurt.. the pieces of lamb were absolutely tender and succulent, melting in my mouth with little resistance. That's all I remember- digging into the rice to find the morsels of lamb and savoring each one! The desserts were amazing too, had the rose-flavored pudding, which was subtly sweet and surprising in its character, as well as the baklava with Ciao Bella vanilla gelato/ice cream (who can say no to Ciao Bella?)

This is a great, trendy place to go for that power lunch. The lamb kabobs & safron rice are yummy. The only drawback to this place is sometimes it has a long wait.

Zowie! This place was hopping on a Tuesday night! I called in the early evening just to see if I should make a reservation for later that night, and by the immediate sounds of the host picking up the phone to all the hubbub in the background, I was glad I did. Had the beriani which was mmmm...delightful. The beef was tender and the flavorings were just right. My friend, a vegan, had the tabsi falafel and practically liked the plate clean. We finished it off with a turkish coffee and an after-dinner drink. Total bill only amounted to $50 with tax and tip. Sweetness when it comes together with an elegant atmosphere.

(5)Abbey Q.

This place is obviously doing well
(5)Shanna W.
I had the lentil soup and some kind of chicken with rice and yogurt. It was tasty. I would definitely go back again and try the other dishes on the menu.
(4)Thomas T.
I'm not a big fan of the kind of food served here (Persian, Mediterranean?). Been here with colleagues here few times though. The items seem to be well made etc, but I had eaten better Shavarma etc elsewhere.
(3)Sunny M.
Definitely the best middle eastern food in sunnyvale . We ordered the babaghanouge and it was so good . The bread is so tasty. I ordered the fish and chicken which are well cooked and I really loved them. I like the place very much.
(5)Mohammed M.

Been here a few times... Really good food... Very exotic.. I had the yogurt lamb rice.. Not sure of its name anymore... One star less because it can get crowded and very disorganized
(4)Emily L.

(4)Gerard B.
If you can get a seat, it's well worth it. They've recently expanded and it's still not big enough. That says a lot. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The Chicken Shawarma wraps are to die for!
(5)Lily V.
(5)Joy C.
AMAZING food... got 5 different dishes and a veggie spread plate. SO much food, with amazing meats. Standouts were the chicken wrapped in pastry and the curry-like dishes (forgot their names). Addicting stuff! Cost about $25/person total, which was worth the phenom food.
(5)Shaundel F.
(5)LT B.
Quick service, and great food! The Kimmeh was my favorite. The phyllo w/ meat and sweet caramel sauce was really good too.
(4)Lizzie B.
The service was slow, but the amazing kabobs made up for it :D I'd definitely eat here again, mmmmm!
(4)meera h.
(4)Ivonne N.

(4)Numa R.
(5)Marlyn A.
(4)N V.
This place is freakin awesome. I always get the M'shakaleh vegetarian and my fiance gets the lamb swarma. We generally go there on Saturday for lunch because there is no wait and we grocery shop at the farmer's market which is on that same street.
(5)A H.
(5)Sheila P.
(4)Vatsa S.
It's a decent place to eat. i would like to give 3.5 stars. Have been there only couple of times. Being a veggie, they have pretty good collection. There falafels are tasty. Not so great collection of wines served by glass. Input from my friends, the lamb dishes are pretty good.
(3)Kathryn B.
(4)Joe L.
(4)J P.
(5)j b.
I don't know what happened but they must have changed owners. The menu has changed and the entrées have become simpler, less sophisticated and of lower quality. Someone is cutting corners and it shows. The food is still okay. Just not mouth watering as it used to be. Service is still good, for now. I'm deeply disappointed as this used to be one of my all time favourite restaurants. A few bad experiences and we won't be back. It's not worth lining up for anymore.
(3)Jill R.
I'm not a big Mediterranean food fan, but I love the food here! My favorites are the Beriani Dejaj and the Fatayer appetizer (that tahini date syrup sauce is magical)! When weather permits, I prefer to sit outdoors because it can get a little loud inside.
(5)Joel H.
(5)Robin M.
3.5 stars.
(3)Jen D.
The Beriani Dejaj is my favorite dish. The food is great and the service is too. Go early for lunch or dinner. The place fills up quick and gets really crowded! There really isn't anymore that I can add except that I love this place!
(5)Ed P.
C'mon down!
(4)Denise F.
(5)Yoddha Y.

(4)Jill D.
(4)Caroline B.
I really really love their food. It is delicious. Nothing I know how to make at home and the taste is out of this world!
(5)thien h.
(3)Herbert W.
Well, I'm no middle eastern food expert but if I were to compare it to Truly Mediterranean in the Mission its only ok. The price quality ratio puts it in the 3 star range.
(3)A B.
(5)Brandon S.
This is a great, trendy place to go for that power lunch. The lamb kabobs & safron rice are yummy. The only drawback to this place is sometimes it has a long wait.
(5)Liver W.
