This place was recommended by a co-worker. Ordered the #3 BBQ pork combo. Came with a basket of fries and a drink. The fries were hot but really soggy. Made me wonder if they just dipped them back down in the frier. BBQ pork sandwich was just ok. I'm willing to give it one more shot. But will definitely order something else without fries.

You have to try the ultimate BBQ all American cheeseburger. Pulled pork and a supreme hamburger make a beautiful relationship on a bun. The fries are homemade and hand cut and they are so delicious. Somehow I made it out I there safely wearing white pants because I couldn't let one drop go.

First time I ate in at this place, heard about it on Facebook, my family raved about it, and the pictures they took of their food, I must say had me intrigued. Small Resturant but at the time I went it wasn't busy at all, you order before you sit. I ordered: Bacon infused cheeseburger with grilled onions. Tri-tip sandwich with grilled onions Veggie panini Fries Sandwiches and burger was all tasty. Fries were average Cashier was super friendly, my 4 year old son spilled his drink on the floor and had a (i need a nap) breakdown, and the cashier handled it all with a smile. She mopped up spill ASAP and packed up all our food speedily to go, and never seemed annoyed or put out at all. I really can appreciate that when I have a kid screaming at the top of his lungs in one arm. Thanks Victory grill!!! I will be back -minus the screaming toddler:)

This place simply rocks. Passing thru town on road trip & tried it due to yelp reviews & freeway proximity. Love the leafy charming neighborhood it's in too. Had the chicken salad (was expecting iceberg with few tomatoes at a burger place), but it was loaded with feta, cranberries, sunflower seeds & real greens! But the star if the show are the garlic fries my husband got. They put all other garlic fries to shame, seriously - do not miss them. Sweet helpful staff too. Total local gem.

AMAZING!!! I visited a second time today after my first visit earlier in the week just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, and boy was I happy. Victory Grill is a little building over by Victory School, on the other side of Victory Park. I hear from people in the know that the restaurant was originally the Victory Fountain back in the day and might have even been a pizza parlor at one time but now it's re-opened with a simple menu of true all American comfort food. I hear the hamburgers here are just delicious but I have yet to experience them since the two times I have been I had the hot roast beef sandwich. Oh wow...it's like a meal in it of itself. Seriously Arby's aint got nothing on this sandwich. I am not the biggest fan of horseradish so I get it with mayo, but its one of the better sandwiches I have ever tasted. The fries are just amazing as well...fresh cut and fresh fried, they remind me a bit of In n Out fries but with a little more home cookin' feel to them. Eat 'em while they are hot for maximum deliciousness but even when they are cold later they are still pretty darn good. And last but not least, those people who used to frequent Exotic Java over on Ben Holt in North Stockton and were sad when it had to close recently, you will be happy to know the woman who owned it is now over here at the Victory Grill. While it might not have that Exotic Java name, she still has the same menu and same great coffee she did before. This place is a little out of the way but TOTALLY worth your time. :0)

Great food... Good sized portions.... Good service!!!! Try the in house made garlic fries and onion rings!! You also have try the bacon infused burger...at least once...the bacon infused burger is half bacon/hamburger. 4.85 for single bacon infused burger or you can double it for 6.85.

Local sandwich shop that gets it right! Right across from Victory School, this small bungalow on Mt. Diablo is just a hop skip and jump from Victory Park and I-5. We have been by about 6 or 7 times in the past year, and enjoy just about everything on the small, comfort food menu. It's small, casual but clean with a scattering of tables and plastic chairs. A good sign, are the number of repeat customers streaming through the doors between 7 and 7. Neighborhood friendly but not standoffish if you are just stopping by for a looksee and checking it out. Burgers are key, from the basic All American to the Bacon Infused. Medium plump, hand formed lean ground beef, fresh fixings and decent buns sop up all the goodness. Vegetarians can go for the Panini, and the Penne Pesto is molto bene. Wednesdays are popular with Orly's Hot Roast Beef sandwiches, the kind with white sandwich bread and a lake of tasty gravy. Tri tip and Cold Roast Beef sandwiches, BBQ Ribs, Chicken Tenders and the recently added homemade soups also seriously rock. Victory Grill is a Coke rather than Pepsi place, if that's important to you. A good size basket of fries, just a tad limp, just a tad greasy...the way I like 'em, won't put a big dent in your pocketbook. Through Facebook, VG often runs specials and does a lot for the community via charitable events...VG has got soul! I'd like to see thick cut, steak house type Onion Rings-the Payter's type- added to the compact menu, plus a regular seafood offering-a killer fried halibut basket last week looked delish! By far, our favorite dealio has been the great package values with perfectly cooked brisket, chicken, ribs and yummy sides like that Penne Pasta. Hoping to have again for our Superbowl Party-be sure and order early. Tell them Richard (Big Guy, Rams Fan) and Casey (49er fan and foodie writer) send you in! It will cost around $10 for a sandwich and drink, a bit more to add fries and a shake, so between cheap and moderate, but taste-wise and value-wise, worth the cost. And service is friendly, definitely a notch up from those lobotomized teens and mystified, shuffling pensioners you'll find at those big chain joints.

This is the kinda mom and pops business we all grew up with. Great comfort food at a good price point. I highly recommend you try them for yourself
(5)Megan S.
They have amazing hamburgers here! I love getting their burgers with their awesome pulled pork or bacon infused patties. They also have great milkshakes. The only negative about this place are their fries. They are definitely too greasy. Sometimes my fiancé and I will just order the burgers to go and make some fries at home for dinner. I have asked for the fries to be crunchy which helped some. Just don't let that detour you from trying out their amazing burgers and sandwiches here!
(4)Kim R.
The fries!!! Perfect, hand cut and super delicious. The garlic fries are killer as well. We also tried the pesto chicken panini which was scrumptious. The hamburger was a bit bland. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was awesome. We will be back soon. Would love to see a pastrami sandwich with grilled onions and Swiss added to the menu.
(4)Joshua W.
Not a cheap joint, but the food is worth it. It's no health food, expect big greasy burgers. The bacon infused burger and the pulled pork burger are both great. I loved the fries. They are very thin fries and I thought they'd be too greasy but the flavor was actually great, didn't even bother with ketchup. You wouldn't know from the outside but when I walked in the place was nearly full. All locals I'm guessing since there's hardly anyone ever parked right out front. Perhaps a lot of people walking over from Victory Park too.
(4)Rachel T.
Once again Victory Grill came through! This is our work group's new and only catering place. The Tri-tip, grilled chicken and pesto pasta all very good. Some comments were " Waterloo" could take a lesson from VG on how to make pesto pasta right" and the Tri-tip "is sooooo good". The salad that comes with the order isn't just lettuce and carrots like many places. It has dried cranberries, feta cheese mandarin oranges, etc. They are by no means stingy with their food. Along with our order came bread, butter, sodas, utensils, napkins and even disposable serving utensils! They want to make sure everything is covered and it was. Oh and by the way all the staff is so personable and friendly and always thank us for ordering from them. Please try them if you haven't. It's up to us to help local businesses succeed so instead of going to Appleby's or Macaroni Grill try Victory Grill.
(5)Aaron B.
I MUST agree with Casey S. I had a very posative experience all around. When I first walked in I was greeted by the Manager who was very friendly. I made my order and it was expedited very quickly. I mentioned that they have very posative reviews on Yelp and that is what led me to try for myself. I am very pleased. The customer service was great, there was no wait time and the food was incredible. I had the Bacon Infused Challenge Burger with fries. The topping were delicious and fresh, the patties were cooked perfecly and delicious and the fries were great. The manager even encouraged me to write a review on here after I ate the burger not trying to sway me one way or the other. The food speaks for itself. This is a great local find and my new favorite!
(5)Sylvia O.
...And to think I was planning to go to McDonald's to buy a burger and fries because I'm broke from the holiday weekend (pay day Friday!).......Shame on me!! Initially came here for the coffee. I've miss Exotic Java since they closed. Got my usual White Mocha Glacier (Yum! Oh how I've missed it). While my drink was being made, I browsed through Yelp comments to check out reviews for their burgers. After reading a few, I was sold....ordered an All American Cheeseburger and fries. I knew I'd get way better food quality here anyway. Order took no more than 5 mins, couldn't wait to indulge while everything was hot and fresh. Took a bite and went into burger heaven. So delicious! Their fries are tasty and plentiful for a half order. Service is warm and very friendly. I'm soooo glad I didn't go to McD's...thank you Yelpers for stopping me.
(4)Jennifer W.
Yesterday was my first time eating there and I have to say it was really good. I had the chicken pesto panini and garlic fries amazing! The portions are HUGE and the service was great. Everyone was nice. I can't wait to go there again and try something different.
(5)Mike P.
I just keeps getting better! They have added a few things to the menu, the Hot Roast beef with gravy is so good. The recipe is from the old Orlies Roast Beef Restaurant. The Chicken Strips made in house are the best I have ever had in a restaurant bar none. Give them a try, no disappointments here.
(5)steve s.
The truth! Burgers, fries and sodas just like it should be. This is a place where real meat eaters eat and rave about. The real deal all American burger joint with really good, wholesome, slow cooked food.
(5)Tim H.
I have eaten here a number of times and can say that the food is decent. Today , however, the air got a little stuffy inside. Perhaps the kitchen ventilation was acting up. I don't like the fries but enjoy the burgers just fine. Prices are reasonable, and service is good.
(4)Barbara H.
We picked this place when traveling through Stockton based on Yelp reviews and I'm so glad we did! Its a cute little corner grill with a menu reminiscent of Five Guys, but with much better prices. The bacon burger was tasty, the fries were plentiful and fresh cut, but a bit greasy. I suspect the fryers a few degrees on the cool side. Otherwise everything was perfectly cooked and tasty. The staff were the best part. I had intended to take advantage of the outdoor seating on a lovely day, but was too enchanted with the friendly banter between the counter staff and local customers. We opted to sit inside just it enjoy the good cheer. If you're feeling hungry and competitive, they offer a 1 lb bacon burger and 1 lb fries for $10. If you eat it all, you make the wall of fame.

Ordered the roast beef sandwich and it was very good, supposed to be Orlie's original recipe--for those who remember Orlie's. I haven't had an Orlie's sandwich in many years, but it is what I remember. My only suggestion would be they need to be more careful when slicing the meat, most of it was fine, but I had a big chunk of grisly beef in my first bite. This is something I think that will work it self out after they've been open a while. I wanted to try the fries, but I will wait until I go back and have someone to share them with. Looking forward to bringing my sons to try the challenge burger!
(4)Liz B.
Came for opening day and had the hot roast beef then again the following friday and had the hamburger with pulled pork the follwing week had the tri tip sandwich (man size) I think I can say I love the food, staff and atmosphere. Seems like most people there know Matt, Sandy and Mike and its give a very family/friendly atmosphere. Not sure what I will have next but Im thinking I really need to try some ribs.
(5)George L.
I love this place. It is close to my house and the staff is awesome. I would like to see a hot link sandwich on the menu.
(4)Brian B.
They've only been open for about a month and I'm gonna' go ahead and call it now....if they keep doing what they're doing and how they're doing it, lines are going to be out the door and around the corner. If you're like me and always looking for that off-the-beaten-path kinda' burger joint that hasn't gone mainstream yet, this is your spot. It's the epitome of a hidden gem and the quality of food they're throwin' out is pretty damn amazing to say the least. It sits on a corner by itself, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and if it weren't for the stop sign 10 ft from the front door, it could easily be missed. There's street parking available on the side of the building where we were instantly greeted by one of the owners working the BBQ grill. Inside is an inviting, nostalgic Route 66 diner kinda' feel, The menu on the wall is simple and not overly cluttered, where BBQ seems to be the staple like a BBQ pulled pork sandwich for $4.55 or the BBQ tri-tip sandwich for $7.95. There's a homemade hot roast beef sandwich wtih Au Jus on the menu but don't get it mistaken with the roast beef sandwich that's only served as a special once a week because they're not the same. Apparently, the weekly special roast beef is a secret recipe that was given to them by a former iconic restaurant in Stockton that was known for their roast beef sandwich's and they pride themselves with this recipe. I will definitely be trying this on my next trip for sure because it sounds amazing. Everything on the menu looked equally good but there was no way I was coming this far to stay clear of my love for burgers. When ordering, I did what I normally do at new spots and I asked for the biggest, messiest burger they make. He accepted the invitation, gave his recommendation and ten minutes later I found myself biting into something put he'd put together from two of the burgers on the menu - a Double Bacon-Infused Ultimate BBQ American Cheeseburger that had burger porn written all over it! Two house-ground chuck and bacon patties topped with nicely melted American cheese, mounded with BBQ pulled pork between two fresh pillowy buns. The Meat was cooked perfectly, BBQ pulled pork was moist and tasteful, swimming in a candy coated BBQ sauce bursting with flavors almost as if it could be served alone as a soup du jour. Everything you'll find here is fresh, the beef chuck is ground in house for the burgers, the potatoes are all hand cut and then fried to golden brown perfection and the BBQ'ing is done on a grill five feet from the back door. For those of you that bring your big boy underwear they even have the Bacon Infused Challenge - a 1 lb bacon infused burger with 1 lb of fries and if you finish it your picture goes on the wall of victory. Overall, I was very impressed with the whole experience. The food was great, the entire staff was polite and very engaging, offering personal recommendations and explaining everything from how the food is prepared to the history of things on the wall. The prices are low enough to be unheard of these days for the caliber of food you're getting. So, if you're ever in Stockton and wanting a great burger joint with a pleasant staff get over to this place and help spread the word!
(5)Erica F.
First time here and I love this place! Food is sooo good! Fries are more than enough for one person.
(5)P P.
I have never eaten in the restaurant, but we got take out for the first time this week and we will never go back, at least not for take out. We ordered burgers and fries and when we got it home 10 minutes later, the buns were wet, the fries were soggy...it was awful. We ended up taking the meat off the bun, and putting it on the bread we had at home. The problem is they package their to go orders in styrofaom, which is a huge no, no. The food will be soggy every time. If they get some different packaging it would be a lot better!
(2)Joni A.
Everything here is yummy! Love the turkey burger! Great food & friendly staff! Skip the chains & eat at Victory Grill!
(5)Elias G.
One word: Tasty! This place has some great burgers, sandwiches, and fries. Oh, boy them fries are good! I'm not big on French fries but Victory serves up some kickin' home made fries. I had the burger with pulled pork and my wife had the bacon infused burger. Both were super good and had a great fresh taste with each and every ingredient. The staff was friendly, I have no complaints. We definitely plan on going back to Victory Grill next time we're driving thru Stockton
(4)lou a.
Hidden gem by Victory Park, 1st time here and it was a great experience. Clean with great staff a great selection and great tasting food. We tried the the Bacon Infused Burger and it didn't disappoint us. i wanted to try the Ribs but they were long gone! Only 1 weak spot ( FRIES ) com-on man u can make a burger Q some ribs but spaghetti fries just aren't RIGHT!
(4)Mary C.
The fries are different but I think the veggie sandwich I got was really good. They put peppers (flavorful red) and the mushrooms and provolone cheese, I added avacado which in my opinion made it perfect. I liked the look of the cheeseburger too. I think it is a little pricey because you order everything separately. The floor was oily or wet too but it was nice for a little place.
(3)Stephanie L.
After reading all the wonderful reviews about how good this place was, and hearing my son brag about it cause his teacher buys them food from here when they are student of the week. I must say there is nothing good about this place. I spent 32 dollars and change on a Tri-Tip sandwich, all American combo, Bacon Infused Burger, 2 order of Garlic Fries and a large order of fries.. This place is literally at the corner of my house and when the food came home it's was 32 dollars of PURE SOGGINESS, my burger wasn't bacon infused and all the buns on the burgers were soggy. The tri tip was like jerky also!!! How can anyone even brag and rate it with a star? I only rated it with a star because it wouldn't take my review without one! Not to mention we didn't even get our soda for the all American combo. I will never and I repeat never again eat here... It was a waste of a walk home and 32 dollars. Mc Donald's is a 5 star deal compared to this hole in the wall!!!
(1)Paris S.
Pricey!! very Pricey, for a double burger and shake-no fries! $12 and some change, Ok burger, shake was alright, generic. I eat at yummies, its cheaper, and u get fries. Prob not coming back !! expensive and food okay. customer service was good though.
(3)Kim P.
Add Victory Grill to your list of great burger places in Stockton. Went for lunch and had the bacon infused cheese burger and a basket of fries. Wow. Love this place. Very friendly waitstaff. Can't wait to go back and try different menu items.
(5)David J.
Great place to go have lunch. I went there with my girlfriend a few weeks ago and had a double cheeseburger and fries. She had chicken and fries. Wow it was good. I drove by this place a lot and I never went in but finally I decided to go in one day. Im glad I did. I will be going back soon. The people who work there are friendly too!!!
(5)Gena J.
Love this place...casual but delicious comfort food! The burgers are the BEST in town!
(4)Thomas P.
Do not let the look of the place scare you! Any place that is making food in house is awesome! We had the burgers they were a bit on the dry side but tasty. The onion rings are scratch made witch is great but the batter was to light, they did have a good flavor and a great start to make you want them again. The fries were good I couldn't stop eating them. If I was to change anything it would be to add a thicker piece of cheese and a special made sauce. This place has unlimited potential and I will keep coming back to see what's new
(4)J D.
Was excited to try a new place in Stockton. It wasn't terrible, but don't know if I would go back. It's out of the way and not in the greatest part of town. Food was decent, but nothing I would go to that side of town for.
(2)Christina G.
Bacon infused burger was delish!! Share a basket of fries..Way too many for one person! The coffees also taste great. Only downside is finding a seat but that speaks volumes about the food! Love it for sure!!
(5)Eddie C.
An Excellent Establishment That Really Knows How To Take Care Of There Local Customers. I Have Been There Quite A Few Times And I Have Never Been Disappointed. Also There Customer Service Was As Exceptional As There Food.
(5)Crlyn N.
If you live in Stockton, and haven't tried this place yet.. SHAME on you! Just go and try it, now. Glad I was craving a sandwich today, and happened to be in Stockton running errands. The chicken pesto panini and BBQ tri-tip sandwich were both really good! And the fries, mmmmm the fries.. get the combo. As some have mentioned, they no longer offer their specialty drinks/coffee on the menu. Bummer! They all sounded soo good. Location is not too far from the freeway, with plenty of street parking. There's also a park nearby.. where you can walk it off, so you won't feel as guilty afterwards. 0:) You walk up to the counter, place your order, pay for your order, and sit and wait for your name to be called. The service is friendly, and quick! Seems like most of the customers are regulars.. I will definitely be back, when I'm in the area.. To try the rest of the menu. O_O ;D
(5)Enrique C.
I want to really try and love this place, but I just can't. I been to this place a few times already and always order the same thing. I always get the rib basket to go. First time I went the ribs were a tad cold like they been sitting out for awhile. Not just that but it also had a big fat piece of fat. So I decided to try it again a few days later. I wanted to try the rib basket again. Same thing happened second time around. Wasn't to fond on the fries. Only reason is because I never liked thin cut fries. Reminds me of the ones at In n out. Flavor wise the fries are okay. Plus they were a tad soggy. Times I went my friends got the infused burgers. They seemed to enjoy those. I've decided to to get a burger though until I am fully satisfied with my rib basket. The workers there are super friendly though.
(2)Dave F.
So based on the Yelp of a few of my friends, e gave this a shot a Lunch yesterday, thursday the 3rd. 3 solid but it could go 4 easily. The BBQ pork Sandwich I had was flavorful and loaded to the max. FF had a straight up hamburger, ordered without mayo. Unfortunately, it came without anything else, no trim, whatsever. The fries order was big enough for the two of us to share, and still leave some in the basket. They were hot, and plenty, but either the oil needs changing, or they were left down to long as they were way dark Counter ordering was easy and the order was brought to the table, by a freindly young lady. Will have to go back and ive the signature "Orlies" hot beef sand a try, as I spent quality time in the original Orlies ad that will be my measuring stick for an adjustment on stars. Still and all, I really want to see this little neighborhood place make it, Oh one more thing, important to the ladies, a single restroom, but it was immaculate.
(3)Steve A.
Went with the Bacon infused double cheeseburger with everything. Very awesome burger. Fresh vegetables, nice burger quality, super juicy. Sob had the Angry Bird. Amazing sandwich. Fries were a little greasy but the rest of the lunch ruled. Great to have a local spot worth visiting again and again.
(5)Leilani D.
This place is definitely the favorite new burger spot and the mochas my hubby and I got weren't half bad! We will definitely be back. My husband had The Challenge and wussed out! I had the regular bacon infused burger. Both were great!"
(5)Joe B.
Thank you gentlemen for getting Chris in the kitchen on weds to do Orlie's roast beef sandwiches!!! I have been waiting years to have one again with her awesome pepper sauce.....Bravo!!!
(5)Rudy A.
Nothing special at all, tri-tip sandwich had no BBQ sauce, my bacon loaded cheese burger was ok nothing to write home to mom about lol but seriously I didn't like this spot and won't be coming back, I'd rather eat Flip's, Sno-White, Five Guys, In and Out sh*t even McDonalds...Victory Grill is overpriced for what they serve, fries were soggy and burnt at the same time, how does that happen?
(1)Laurie A.
Stockton is coming back to life and Victory Grill is proof! All American food at its finest! If you want the best burger in town, go to Victory Grill. How knows, you may even see our Mayor eating his meal their. Try it! Laurie Andrade Arnold Ca
(5)Chris L.
This place is a hidden gem in Stockton. For my dad and I, I ordered the Angry bird and ultimate BBQ cheeseburger with garlic fries. We both split them and boy they all taste great. If you love BBQ like I do, then you are in for a treat. Smokey and sweet sauce is too die for. On super bowl weekend, they have a great deal for the party with loads of meat and pasta. This place is a place you have to try for comfort food.

I had an early dinner there with my grown son tonight.First of all the outside is decorated really cute for Christmas. The inside is decorated in the most adorable clean welcoming manner.I fell in love as soon as I walked in smelled food cooking and saw the decor.I felt like I had just walked into Mom's kitchen. They have a really good variety of food and they also had food in their glass case (mini quiches/meal sized/delish). I am a cheese burger lover and my son loves bacon so we ordered the bacon infused cheeseburgers and I ordered fries...the fries were hand done long skinny dark golden crisp and so good. One order will feed a small army. I also ordered two chili cheese dogs to treat my sons two room-mates and they also got a ton of fries. They said their food was superb. Back to our bacon infused cheese burgers. Perfect....thick juicy beef patty...lots of sliced onion tomato the works. We were wolfing them down. This will be my new "take out" place. The prices are reasonable too. It is a lot of fun to go in and eat inside too though. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They have panini's..... pulled pork sandwiches....chicken in a basket and they are on Facebook. I told my son that Victory Grill (like the Dutch American bakery) is THE place to take a girl for a lunch date.
(5)Debi J.
Welcome to the neighborhood Victory Grill! We stopped in for our first time Wednesday March 13th prompted by Michael Fitzgerald's article in The Record. We specifically went in for the Orlie's Hot Roast Beef sandwich. The sandwich was DELISH & we are hoping they consider serving it with mashed potatoes in the future. My only criticism would be to step up customer service. Acknowledge customers when they enter etc. We waited at the counter for about 5 minutes to be helped. We had never been there before & didn't know if we placed the order at the counter or we would be waited on. I tried to ask the girl behind the counter but she had the blender on blast. She never once looked up to greet us or let us know someone would be right with us. Building a rapport with the customers is so very important & vital for a businesses reputation.. I realize the business is fairly new & it may take time to work all the kinks out. I believe in supporting local business so we will definitely be back to try something else & the expresso bar.Once again, welcome Victory Grill & wish you much success ;)
(4)John E.
to the person who said they forgot to put bacon on his bacon burger---read the menu and you will see it is bacon infused. they grind the bacon into the burger. and somebody said to turn up the temp on the fryer due to soggy French fries. my fries were "limp", but not soggy at all. it is not because the temp is too low on the fryer, it is the type of potatoes they use. my burger was good, and I liked the fries. I have no complaints and will return.
(4)C Z.
The place was clean, well lighted and inviting. I love the way they remodeled and organized the place. Love the large look out windows. I began my order by asking for fries to enjoy while I waited for my to go order. I think they were hurried and the oil may not of been hot enough so they turned out more oil drenched then crispy. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and the vegetarian panini. The roast beef was well done and I wondered if it was freshly cut? I heard freshly cut was a good thing (keeps the meat moist). The au jus and creamed horseradish was great. Gonna go for the provolone next time. The vegetarian panini was great and next time will ask for a little more veges. I ordered/scouted these two items because they are items I know my family will love. Oh, I noticed they have an espresso machine and was told they will be opening at 6:00AM.come Monday. What great incentive to get out for a walk in the park. :-)

First time here and let me tell you I was surprised of how busy they are. Maybe it is because they only open from 10am to 3pm. Definitely a good sign if you are looking for good food. I ordered the combo #4 ultimate BBQ All American Cheeseburger my wife got a Chicken Pesto Panini. Food is great and a real american Taste. If you have not been here you have to come and try. Definitely a diamond in the cuts of Stockton California.

I wound up here today because Smitty's was closed for vacation. I was looking forward to my frequent dose of wings. My next choice would be Victory Grill but I was concerned that they would be closed since they normally close at 3pm. But one quick phone call and I found out they were open until 6pm because it was Concerts in the Park Wednesday! Yay!!!! Had a great cheeseburger and fries here today. I miss eating here but they are only open till 3pm Monday thru Saturday. That's the reason for -1 star. For the next four Wednesdays they will be open till 6pm to accommodate people attending Concerts in the Park at Victory Park. People get take-out to eat at the park while listening to free music! They grind their own meat! Makes for a great burger. They cut their fries fresh. Makes for great fries. They finally found the right recipe for the fries after some trial and error. Today the fries were a bit crispy on the outside...hot and tender on the inside. If you are looking for crispy, crunchy fries you might not like them but I loved them! Check their website for a coupon...$5 meal deal! You get a yummy cheeseburger, fresh-cut french fries and a can of soda for five bucks!

Today was my first try at Victory Grill. I think my favorite part about it was the atmosphere; it's a really homey little place, and definitely super busy during lunch hour. They had a yummy assortment of lunches - burgers, pulled pork, paninis. Garlic fries, normal fries, chili cheese fries. I went for the infused bacon burger and regular fries. Not a bad deal for a huge burger. The fries were good, not my favorite. The burger comes on a Genova bun which was definitely my favorite. The bacon slice was the literally the thickest piece of bacon OF MY LIFE. Like to the point that it was almost too thick! Food was served super fast and efficient, which was appreciated when you're on a tight lunch break. Overall, good lunch place. Not my favorite but will probably be back again!

They gave me soooo much food!! I had been dying to try Victory Grill for a while and we finally made it out for my coworker's birthday. I grabbed a coupon off their website for a $5 burger, fries and can of soda. They gave me an amazing amount of fries and I was able to enjoy them with homemade ranch dressing. My experience here was great from the moment I stepped in the door and was greeted by the very nice woman working behind the counter to the moment we left and were given a friendly good bye! The food was really good, but there are a few burger places I like better. I wish I could put the patty from my favorite Cincinnati restaurant on the plate with the fries, ranch and service here. (it's hard to live up to a family favorite but they get really close) This place is completely worth trying and I know it will become a regular part of our office rotation. Remember to grab the coupon off the website though for a $5 meal! Awesome deal!!

I had the Combo #2, Bacon Infused Cheeseburger, with fries and a drink, double meat, with grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. The food is cooked fresh. You may have to wait a few minutes but the food is definitely worth the wait. The prices are good also. I went with 3 other people and the total bill was less then $40! That's not bad at all for good quality food! Besides burgers they also offer entrees with ribs, chicken, and other home cooked style dishes. They also do catering for larger parties! I look forward to coming back and trying some ribs!

Victory Grill on Monte Diablo Ave in Stockton, California. After a long day of running around town with my three kids. My clan wanted a hamburger and some fries. I was clear across town and Victory Grill closes up shop at 8 pm and we only had an hour to play with. We arrived and roughly had about 45 minutes to order and eat, that's plenty of time. I remembered my friend Dale posting on a tip about a coupon. So I went online on my cellphone and asked the cashier if I could use it and she replied "yes". With the $5 coupon you get a Cheeseburger with all the fixings, a massive amount of fries and a can of soda. If you want for a $1 you can make your fries into chili cheese fries. Thanks Dale for the tip :) The lady working the counter is pretty nice and was patient with me because all my children didn't want certain veggies or mustard put in their burgers. With all the "I don't want this and that in my burgers" they actually got my whole order right. Plus she remembered who ordered what. I was actually impressed by that. Sometimes my kids can drive a person cray cray lol. So we sat down and waited for our food and having a blast in the process. Talking about anything and everything. Before we knew it our food arrived and I quickly took some pictures of our meal. The got used to this stuff by now, so they don't mind at all. Because they love the idea of me always recording our time together. Note: only one bathroom, but it's set up like a bathroom in a home and very nice. Note: They do have outside seating. Note: Starting next week winter hours will be starting. So they will be closing earlier at 6 Pm. My kids and I didn't have any problems with the food here. Everyone loved their burgers and fries. My youngest really liked the chili cheese fries and so did I. The burgers are a nice size here and they're not cheap with the lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. I do like my burgers packed with veggies and so does my kids. None of us could finish our fries and we ended up getting a to go box to snack on later. Maybe one day we'll explore more into thier menu. But I do know my kids do love their burgers and that was enough for me. We had a great time here at Victory Grill this evening. The food was great and we spent our time talking and enjoying the moment. "Family time", is what I like to call it. Doing what Dad's do, spending time with our kids. My three kids always comes first. Everything else in life is a bonus. So yeah I'll be back when I wanna cheeseburger. Vincent D *VD* Enjoying the simple things in life.

Ok to start with, this place hands down has the best service ever! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Being the lone vegetarian in my family, they also gave me some great recommendations. I went with the veggie panini which was delicious. They make their own ranch too which is super yummy. I would totally bath in it if I could get my hands on enough to go containers. My husband loved his bacon burger from here as well. All in all it was a great meal, and I will definitely be back.

This place is beyond amazing! My work was volunteering to feed the families at the homeless shelter in Stockton, and we called them to get a price on chicken for 125 people, as soon as they heard what we were needing it for, they donated ALL of it! Not only is the food great, but they are good people with values! We've already decided to use them for all of our luncheons! You can't find a better place than this in Stockton, I'd give them 10 stars if I could!!!

Chicken tender sandwich, fries and a grilled chicken salad. Chicken salad was just your average everyday salad nothing special. Chicken sandwich was very good once I added some salt. It's lacked flavor but was good once so me salt and pepper hit it. Fries could have been cooked a little longer.

What a great, local find in Stockton! Simple, largely homemade comfort food. I had the Ultimate Burger Combo #4, which was both BBQ pork and a hamburger on the same bun. It was amazingly large, and delicious! I also enjoyed the fries, which tasted fresh and homemade as well. If you're looking for some homestyle comfort food at a really great price, give these guys a shot!

The food at this homey restaurant was a weary road travelers best dream. The hot beef sandwich- thee best ever for me and my husband rates the original hamburger as one of his top 3. Wish we lived closer; like next door!

Soo good here ! You really get a lot for what you are paying for ! I always get the ultimate burger . It comes with a burger patty with pulled pork on the top smothered in bbq sauce ! It makes me want to go and get another one just thinking about it ! You gotta go and try this local spot out ! You won't regret it !

My friends and I wanted to try a new place in Stockton. Victory grill stood out from the list. We were surprised to find out that it was so close to pacific! There isn't much parking In front of the restaurant but parking on the side is easy to find. Keep in mind that a school is around the corner so going during pick up hours are probably gonna be difficult. I ordered the bacon infused cheeseburger combo, which comes with fries and a drink. The wait wasn't long at all. The burger was so good that I wondered why I hadn't been there before. The fries were just the way I like them, crunchy but had a softness to them. I'm definitely coming back to try the angry bird or all American burger!

this place is delicious!!! their garlic fries are sooo good!! they have wonderful customer service....I had the bacon infused burger combo, it turned out great! I never knew this place existed til my co worker mentioned it, glad I stopped by! the beginning of many visits

I totally agree with the comment I read about their consistency here at Victory. The food, for the most part, is great. I usually get the bacon infused burger and my wife the Ultimate BBQ. It seems that when we order to go they are either too pressed for time or don't really care to pay attention to detail. I'm not joking but 1 out of 3 times we order to go is it actually correct. When my order is right, the Bacon infused burger is to die for. Doesn't get any better then that. The hot dogs are great too. Overall, if they can just get their act together on to go orders they would get an easy 5 from me.

I've been to Victory Grill twice now and they have made some great improvements to their food! I wasn't a big fan of their fries before because they were a bit soggy but they have since done away with the soggy and their fries are fresh cut and with the right amount of crisp. I wasn't too fond of the garlic fries which I had both times. There is just something about them that was too... something. It might be the garlic, it was over powering and they were a bit sweet, which I found odd. I'll take the plain fries any day though! I've had their Orly's roast beef which is now served daily and their shrimp po' boy. I've had po' boys at French 25 and Victory's wins over my taste buds, hands down. The shrimp was tender, seasoned and crispy fried, and they drizzled this Cajun flavored mayo on top. It all went harmoniously with the Genova Bakery bread. I also had their pesto pasta, which I probably would have liked warm and instead of cold, but that doesn't mean that it lacked in flavor. More of a preference. They have also made the great decision to change the breading of their chicken to panko crusted chicken! My son absolutely LOVED it and so did we when we ate his leftovers! I'll definitely be back and I think I would like to try their French dip and their Angry Bird burger next time. Concert at the park is coming and I am planning on ordering some tri tip to go! What I really want to see is someone horking down that 1 pound burger and 1 pound of fries. Now THAT I would like to see in person.

French Fries Where Nasty And Tri Tip Sandwich had no meat... Step ur size and quality... thats what makes a great restaurants

The garlic fries were great; not soggy this time. They grind their own beef and make the patties. Very good!

Man you need to enjoy this for your self awesome place I think I been here 3 times and every time is great one time the soda machine died but it was still great

I've only been to Victory a handful of times and though I'm really not a big fan of their burgers, their hot dogs are on point. You don't get little dumb weeny dogs here, you get real Alpine dogs on Genova bread rolls. I recommend the chili cheese dog, very good.

Found my self at this fine establishment today and I was thoroughly pleased! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious but the thing that is going to make me come back is there service. I had a combo #2 with the bacon infused burger and part of my patty on my burger kinda fell apart I hadn't even noticed until my server told me then she told me the chef wasn't happy with it so he was going to make me a whole other burger free of charge to take home. Now that's what I call service. Would recombined anyone come here not just for the delicious food but for the impeccable service!

Holy amazing burger Batman! I had the Ultimate Burger today and oh my GOD! I really needed a nap afterwards. The burger was super juicy, cooked to perfection, and just perfect really. I want to get the double size for a whole 2 more bucks. THE fries, oh how they sang! It was a religious experience. And hey. I'm from Texas. This burger is worth a 1600 mile trip for ya'll reading this there! If you're in the Stockton area you are blessed. Get your behinds here now! Tell em Beardface sent you!

The family and I stopped on a whim. The food was fresh. The kids got a chicken basket. The chicken needs a little flavor. My cheeseburger was delicious just had a little too much mustard. But that's just me. Not a huge fan of mustard. Mental note for next time. We didnt order the garlic fries but they smelled delicious. Next time for sure.

Came here couple time and didn't like it. The burger bottom bun was always watery or greasy. Sometime the pattie is raw internally, and for the fries, in my opinion they really suck. Fries are always soft and look really old if you compare it to other restaurant. Not recommend

My rating is more 3.5 but I couldn't round up to a 4 quite yet. I phoned in my order with no problem at all. The lady who answered was very nice and helpful. I ordered the bacon infused cheeseburger and an order of macaroni salad. The burger itself was good but I just didn't really get any hint of bacon flavor. Next time I'll probably just get a cheeseburger with bacon. The macaroni salad was pretty good and I'm glad it was homemade. I'll definitely be back to try again tho.

A small little hole-in-the-wall, but the food is promising! I had the VEGGIE PANINI, which was extremely flavorful. My friend got the bacon-infused burger and enjoyed it as well.

After a light breakfast and a half day of cycling I started to get hungry so given the area I was in I chose this place. Angry Bird- Wasn't to angry in my opinion. Handling the sandwich was a bit annoying, the ingredients would fall out with every bite, could have use one of those toothpicks for sandwiches. Filling, tasty sandwich. Tangy sauce with the chicken made it seen like I was eating a buffalo chicken sandwich, which I lke. Half order fries- fries were cool, I like that they come with some potato skin on them. Diet Coke- fountain Diet coke. (Looking back at it I should have served myself a regular coke :/ ) The food was A-OK, will return to try something else. Customer service was great, the man at the counter called me by my name the whole time he was helping me, sign of skill in what he does. Total: $10.99

I stopped by to eat with my nieces today, and they were absolutely delighted. The menu is limited, but it has everything you could want out of an American burger joint. While I am a vegan, and could only enjoy a full order of fresh cut fries, I still walked away very satisfied. When it says 'full order,' they mean FULL ORDER. I couldn't eat more than half my basket of fries, and even that was a challenge. My nieces each had a number 1 combo, which consisted of a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. The entire meal was a few cents under twenty dollars. Money well spent. In case you're wondering, the staff is very friendly, and the patrons are much the same.

This place is small, homey, and inviting. Everything you would expect from a small restaurant smack dab in the middle of a residential zone lol. I had the burger that was half bacon. I've had other iterations of this burger, most notably Slater's 50/50 in San Diego, but for what this was, holy jesus it was delicious. Also, the owner/cook was awesome. He could clearly tell it was my first time there and made me feel at ease. Definitely some one who loves what they do, which goes a long way and it shows in their food.
(5)Lorraine S.
Had the bacon-infused burger, was pretty tasty, however the fries were disgusting, soggy, greasy, overcooked, just horrible. I didn't even eat them, not even ketchup could save them. Next time, if you overcook a batch of fries, throw them away, don't serve them to your customers!! Just awful.
(2)Bette L.
OMG, the service was great & the food was amazing! If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back. I had the Ultimate BBQ Burger & it was so yummy & flavorful, I'm seriously in love!!
