Love this place for 3 reasons: 1. Excellent burger prepared medium rare with maytag blue cheese spread, applewood bacon compote, carmelized onions, and arugula and ALL that yumminess in between a french bread. Very savory. 2. Sweet potato fries that come with a delicious dipping sauce. It's never a complete meal without these fries here. 3. Heirloom tomato salad. Soooo good, and after my first time trying it, it officially started my love affair with heirloom tomatoes. Though this location is smaller than the one in Culver City, I think it makes it a bit more charming and even exciting stalking people for a coveted table during peak hours.

I drive out from huntington beach for fathers burger. Love it!. Came on saturday afternoon and its not crowded.

Great for burgers and drinks. Fun to gather with friends-- but can get super crowded. Beware if going in a large group that it may take you a long time to find a place to sit down. Definitely better for a more intimate number of people.

Burgers and beer. There's so many joints that serve this and very little that know how to make that perfect burger. Father's office got it down. Love their burgers with a great pint of beer.

Great drink selections and delicious burger. Unpretentious and a great atmosphere

I liked this place but didn't fall in love with it. Beer Selection = Fantastic. I had a peach flavored beer that literally tasted like juice but still had 5% alcohol. Steak = Not the best. The meat was too chewy for my likings. Burger = Good but did not blow me away. For a $12 burger I expected it to be bigger and have more of a WOW factor Fries = Awesome. Loved the flavor and seasoning. Overall food was good, but wasn't worth the price. I spent around $50 for the burger, steak meal, and 1 beer. Also, it was nearly impossible to find a table. We ended up sharing a table with some people.

Has nice shared outdoor seating for the hot summer days! Epitome of a upscale restaurant burger. Melted blue cheese with a bacon onion marmalade! Heaven in a bun! Burger not your thing? They have a revolving menu of other items, last time in the gf and I shared a soft shell crab appetizer. What really gives this place 5 stars in my book is the beer tap selection. You can get Pliny the Younger here (when in season), great stouts, porters, and sours. Too bad it's not closer to downtown LA.

3.5 stars I had to give this place another try. The first time I tried the Helms location, I was stuffed from dim sum earlier that day. My appetite didn't give it a fair chance. The Santa Monica location is a casual bar. It was a Wednesday night and it was packed. They check ID at the door and you order at the bar. And yes, you have to stalk for seats at this tiny bar. Other than that, my review pretty much stays the same. The burger is no doubt good. I'm not going to lie, I expected more and ultimately thought it was overrated.

    (3)
  • Steven S.

Bull shit place they don't even take orders over phone so stupid. You just lost a costumer.

    (1)
  • Danny L.

Hands down the best burger in LA. I don't drink but they sure have a lot of beers on tap. The place itself is pretty small and can easily get crowded. It's worth a visit if you're in the area or their larger location in Culver City. Just remember it's 21+ and to bring your ID. Order at the bar then snag a table!

    (5)
  • Ray S.

Not our favorite burger place, but it will do in a pinch. Great beer selection. Wish they could find a way to corral people a bit better -- feels like finding a seat is a battle every time.

  • Isaac M.

Well I came here solely to try the burger at Father's Office since people and bloggers have been raving about it for so long. The burger is good, but seriously overpriced for what it is. Just for the burger I think I paid around $14-15. That's just the burger too! No drink or fries to go with it, those are separate from the burger. Due to this, I have to give it two stars. It's good, but I've had better burgers that were far less than this.

    (2)
  • John S.

If you have boundary issues or enjoy your personal space well enjoying your Burger. This is not the place for you. Seating is open so you will be forced to share your table or booth with another person. So be prepared to pass the ketchup and listen to someone's life story well trying to enjoy your meal.

    (2)
  • Arlie R.

Absolutely amazing food....when you can actually find a spot to eat it. Open seating + really tiny venue means good luck finding a spot. If you get there and there is nowhere to sit, you have to hover over everyone who is eating and enjoying their meal until someone gets up and you have to pounce on their table. I don't know. Not my thing. We've been twice and walked out because it's too small in there. If you want to do the open seating thing, shouldn't you have some place at all for other people to wait? The bar isn't an option either. It's just too small.

    (2)
  • Courtney S.

Burgers are so good but it's impossible to get a table most of the time.

AMAZING! I've been dying to go to Father's Office and the stars finally aligned. Let me say, it was everything I thought it would be and more. My boyfriend and I got there as soon as it opened so it wasn't crowded YET. The bartender had vast knowledge of all the beers they served which was impressive since some bartenders don't know what they're doing. We sat at the bar which was probably why we were given more attention too. Either way the burgers were juicy and flavorful, the service was awesome, and the whole place had good vibes. I can't wait to go back.

    (5)
  • Kelsey J.

A great bar to grab a beer and amazing burger. Bring a small group as the tables fill up fast. I do think its gets overcrowded, but if you get there early enough you should find seating. They have a great beer selection with a ton of stuff on tap. Sometimes the bartenders get a little grumpy, but thats probably fair. Also, you can't switch anything up on your burger which seems a bit strict, but its great as is. Don't forget to try their other snacks as well!

  • Bernadette O.

The place is very crowded and overpriced. Additionally, the food got me and my coworker SICK!! I mean we both had the same meal, and we both vomited and had the runs that night. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

    (1)
  • Brad F.

Really "trendy" place I feel like. Everything I tried here was really really good. It is a bit odd that you are not allowed to change anything. Whatever you order you get like it says on the menu. I get that it is different and many people like it, but sometimes people just want to change things a bit so no luck here. The beer selection is amazing!!! I love all the beers they have on tap. If I am in the area and hungry I would be going back here for sure!

    (4)
  • Srinivas R.

If my Father's office had this much beer on tap, I would have gone to work with him way more often as a kid. I was overwhelmed by the beer choices. Finally I settled on some light beer, and after reading everybody's raving about the burger I decided to order it. Good stuff.

    (3)
  • Andrew H.

Everyone else has reviewed the hamburger, so all I will say is that's it's pretty awesome, and there's good reason why they don't let you change anything on it (pretty sure even hard reasons like religious prohibition of bacon, lactose intolerance, etc. don't sway them). If you want to avoid lines, go on a Sunday afternoon around 3:00. Been there twice to enjoy a cold beer and a hamburger after hiking in nearby Will Rogers Park, and both times had no wait at all.

    (4)
  • Phillip M.

Best burgers I've had in LA with a great tap selection as well. There's just no reason not to like it unless you are worried about a wait.

  • Carly P.

This is best burger in LA I have found thus far. I keep trying and cannot find another that compares to this place. They also have an amazing beer selection. I can't comment on any of the other food since I only get the burger, the fries that come with it are good and satisfying. That being said, the 5-stars is for the burger. The location is small and crowded and you do need to get here early to get a seat. There is also no parking. But the burger is that damn good that they still get 5 stars in my book :)

Asked for a beer that tastes like Ballast Point Yellowtail Ale. She says "Okay I'll poor you a Yellowtail. We have it. " Bingo! On Tap! Sweet. Added the Ribs and a second beer. A very pleasant evening. And a nice chap on the next bar stool was good conversation. That is what a good bar experience should be. This is consistently at the top for that.

  • Hanae K.

Hands down the best burger I've ever had. i think it tasted 100 x better for me and my date because we were starving AND were craving for meat. I'm really curious how they made it so delicious. This is probably the first burger I enjoyed without ketchup. We were lucky enough to find a place to sit at the bar on a busy Friday night. People around us were social. The atmosphere is pretty loud. Beer selection looked pretty good (I'm not a beer person). Good luck finding a place to eat during winter on a busy night. I give it 5 stars for the food and the fun experience I had with my date in March :)

    (5)
  • Eric J.

People come here for the burgers and extensive beer selection. However, the burgers are a bit overrated IMHO. Instead, I come here for the crispy on the outside but tender on the inside sweet potato fries. I consider them the best in LA and are a must order for any visitor. It's a great place but it can get cramped when packed with the maximum legal number of occupants. They keep a strict headcount due to past fire code violations. Expect a line on most nights. It's worth the wait as long as it's under 30 mins.

    (4)
  • Joanna J.

Only 3 stars due to how crowded it was. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated at a table that was far from comfortable (too close to one another!). When I can hear other's conversations more than my own, and I have people's butts in my face trying to shimmy in and out of their tiny seats, it's kind of annoying. Also, the lighting could be a bit brighter- could barely see the food I was eating. On a brighter note, the burger was amazing-- is it served with carmelized onions?? Who knows... whatever it was- it was sweet and delicious! Another must try are the french fries with garlic aioli, and sweet potato fries.

    (3)
  • Nova W.

This place is definitely a pain in the ass to get seating and your food in a timely manner, but absolutely deserves 5 stars. All the hype about the burger is completely justified--in fact I would even say that the burgers are underrated due to the fact that people tend to bias against chain places. They cook it exactly how you want it without fail and the flavors are excellent. The carmelized onions are just perfect and the shoe-string fries go beautifully with their garlicky aioli sauce. My favorite burger so far. The bartenders are also really knowledgeable about their beers and are really friendly as well. Ridiculous selection of beers and wines!

  • I Q.

Been coming here since before it was "discovered" by the seething masses and the press. I remember when I could drop by at 12:30 on a Friday night, sit at the bar with plenty of room to each side, and have a quiet conversation with the bartender. Now, the ambiance has definitely changed, but the food is still fucking top-notch. Anyone complaining about the burger is, I'm sorry to say, a picky asshole and needs to get the fuck out -- go to McD's or something if you object to the no substitutions rule. I've taken dozens of people here and have helped cultivate a virtual army of FO fans. The only friend who didn't like the burger was also upset that they didn't serve Bud Light. I think that speaks for itself. If you don't like crowds, avoid the Thurs-Sun endless rush from open to close. This goes double if you despise obnoxious douchebag westside locals. Came here on a Wednesday night and was able to snipe a table within 20 seconds of walking in. Oh, almost forgot, here's an insider tip: The person closest to a table will get it when it opens up. Standing a "respectful" distance away will only get your table stolen by assholes like me who hang over a departing party like desert vultures.

    (5)
  • Gene C.

Great burger, tons of great beer on tap. Wish it was a little less loud and a little bigger. If you don't get there early you will not get to sit. The food and drink is still worth it.

  • Mark S.

I went here one time and I have to say I was impressed! The food was so good! and they had a really good beer selection too. The service was good too... going back here for sure!

  • John L.

trust me... i really wanted to love this burger. but it just didn't happen. i give it big ups for being different but that's where it ends. i always order my meats medium so to stay with my trend that's how i ordered it. i don't know what it is... but looking at the rare ground beef kind of turned my stomach. i don't know what it is... i love meat... and love to eat it medium... just not ground beef i guess. guess i'm not mature enough yet. i'll give it another try when i loose half of my hair (which will be in a year or two) or just make it medium well (logically).

  • David O.

Dear Father's Office, I would like to complain formally at your continuous attempts to ruin my attempt to watch what I eat. Whenever i go I'm inexplicably drawn to order your burger, some sweet potato fries, at least 3 alcohol drinks. I believe a warning sign is in order. Pro: Food, everything. Con: This location is SMALL. hard to get in sometimes without waiting. Try culver city if you are in a big crowd.

I love all the dinner I had with my darling, always warm and fun. This place is an interesting place, they check id at the door. I always enjoy seating at the bar, probably more casual and intimate. They serve all different kinds of beer, I just let them give me a fruity and sweet one. The peach one is really really sweet, taste like champagne. The food was actually okay. Brussels sprouts was tooo salty. The burger was salty too!!! but taste good. Patty was a bit dry, probably b/c he ordered 'very well done'... And they actually only serve one type of burger. Fries are good, tasty sauce. Probably not a good place for food, but a fun place to hang out with friends.

    (4)
  • Mary K.

the office burger is so delicious, i dont even mind that their menu is tiny and they won't make any substitutions. also, the sweet potato fries and dip are literally the best i've ever had in my life. the only annoying part is how small the place is and how you can end up stalking people for a table for a long time. try not to go right at dinner time.

  • Karla N.

Great beer selection!! I have been wanting to check out this spot and finally had a chance to visit Father's Office. Gourmet food.... great burgers (UMAMI burger who??) and as I shared a basket of sweet potato fries with my cousin and his girlfriend, greed came over me.... we devour them. The small space was cozy and although we waited a little bit to grab a table, it was all well worth it. Bar staff was awesome too! When on the West Side, you must go here! :)

    (4)
  • Mr. S.

Crowded. It's popularity has overgrown it's location. Beer selection is great. The "Office Burger" is a delight. Would get 5 stars if I didn't always have to wait 30 min for a seat.... Despite that, I always return!

  • Noah N.

The Office Burger is one of the best burgers you will ever have in your life. The toppings are beside the point, the beef is the true star of the burger. The beef used in their patties is top grade. It's extremely tender and flavorful. The sweet potato fries are also amazing! Although it's a little expensive, it's well work what you pay.

  • Terry F.

Read lots about it. Was really excited. Ordered a burger medium. Did not realize till 1/2 way through the second half that it was pretty bloody, due to the bar being so dark. Later at about 4am I started to have major stomach pains. Then followed by vomitting and all that good stuff. This was the only thing I ate within a ten hour period so I am sure it is what got me sick. I have filed a complaint with the Health department. Eater beware. This place has extremely poor quality control.

This is one of my favorite spots in LA. Growing up on the Westside I have had the privilege of coming here for years and I always bring out of town guest to try the burger and great selection on beers (if they still have it try the green tea beer, yum). If your looking for a causal setting but want a gourmet burger this is the place. The burger has the perfect combination of flavors. I have only had one semi-bad experience and that was they put too much sauce on the burger making it very rich but I was still able to eat the whole thing. Also, this place is small so you might get cozy with your neighbor.

    (5)
  • Andromeda W.

I could go on...but it's simple. Arguably the best burger in the US. Consistent, and perfect every time. Great selection of beer and the fries are thin and perfectly crispy. I eventually branched out to other menu items, all good, but my favorite, hands down - the brussels sprouts!

    (5)
  • Amanda G.

EEveryone has said everything so I'll keep it short. The burger and a basket of fries is PLENTY OF FOOD. No need to order an appetizer like we did.. It just sat there.. sad and barely disturbed. For any wino's out there, I'm always happy w/ the red wine they offer here (I don't drink beer). prices are reasonable. food is great. if you want to make this a 5 star experience do NOT go at a "normal"/"high traffic" time. ie. no friday night no saturday night no sunday night.. save yourself the frustration of hovering over people like a vulture, waiting for their table. Go at 3pm on a Sunday or something.

    (4)
  • Jaymar C.

Yeah, that's a serious burger. Arugula, and that compote or whatever it is... so good. And the meat is so juicy and flavorful. Oh man, and those fries... While it is a little expensive, I do give them some leeway, because it's actually a nice spot. It's not like you're throwing down $15 at some hole-in-the-wall burger joint with a drive-thru. It's a nice bar. So you actually feel like you're getting what you're paying for. If you're into burgers, and you're in LA, try it. No question.

    (4)
  • Rebecca L.

Father's office is pretty good, but i must admit, i've had better. maybe it's the fact that they wouldn't allow ketchup and their aioli sauce isn't the best aioli sauce i have ever had. I don't know the exact cause but i do know that the meat was fantastic, but their bread was too hard and their caramelized onions were too sweet. I only could finish have and had only a slight desire to eat the rest. The sweet potato fries were amazing, and loved the little cart it came in. but, it was sweet potato fries. can you really mess up on them?

    (3)
  • Soph D.

I would probably get virtually egged by you all for saying this but Father's Office is completely overrated! They have a good burger... it's a little different... and their sweet potato fries are great... steak is mediocre... I just don't see getting in line like you're at the new hottest club in town for this food. There's barely any seating so the idea of standing eating at the little quasi counter doesn't make for a good meal. It's just OK.

    (3)
  • David G.

Awesome beers - ok food. Burgers are hit or miss here, and the rest of the menu is a little over-priced. The Culver City location is definitely the more consistent of the two. I've had good and bad trips here, but the beer is what keeps me coming back!

    (3)
  • Lauren M.

So yummy! Didn't know what to expect at first but I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I would change is the lighting. It was a little too dim for me.

    (4)
  • Jonathan F.

Very disappointing. I'd heard so much about how great their burgers are. Finally I went and tried it. Well first of all, they have one burger on the entire menu. And they refuse to make it any way but exactly how it's described on the menu. So if you don't, say, like cheese or arugula, you're out of luck. Also, don't expect to be waited on, they don't do it. I've been here once, haven't been back, still wondering what all the fuss is about.

Fathers office rocks! Walk in and its a restaurant built in front of a bar. You go up and order your food and drinks with the bartender, then sit down and drink as you wait for your food in a super clean dive bar type atmosphere. First of all they have an amazing burger that is a must try and contender for top burger in Los Angeles. Its a different type of burger with arugula (which I hate but managed to like on this burger) a soft french roll as the bun, caramelized onions and some slightly sweet aoili sauce. As for beer... they had Pliney the elder on tap! Pliney is the 9th best beer in the world, and is a hoppy delicious IPA which is hard to find as is, but this place had it on tap! They also had Piraat ale which is also amazing and they have tons of porters and stouts, so A+ on beer selection, A on the burger They have no sauce, like literally no ketchup or hot sauce. They give some kind of aoili with the fries but thats about it. It was still pretty good without the sauces Although the bartender that day was serving up exxtra foamy beers, like I'd look around and everybody had foam. I asked her why my beer had foam and she said "Oh it comes in a bottle" great answer, honestly no I totally get it, beers are just bottled with 3 inches of foam. Grrrrrr oh well everything else was great Hotsauces: None

We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 5pm, thinking seating would be easy but we were wrong. We found one seat at the bar and were tandem while eating the Office burger and sweet potato fries, which comes in a cute shopping cart. Both were delicious and I was so glad that we shared both items as the portions are too big for one...not to mention kinda expensive too. See pics. yelp.com/biz_photos/rVV4… Come to this location to check it off your to-do list. To get your ass in a chair the easy way, visit the Culver City location

Fantastic warm duck confit salad! It's dressed generously with a flavorful vinaigrette, candied hazelnuts, small diced figs and a juicy leg of duck on the side. A wonderful alternative to the burger! The only downside to this dining experience was that our fries were never brought out. Despite being reassured in the middle of my meal that they were on there way, baskets of fries were being distributed to every table but mine! So I finally got a refund of the $7 after I was done eating and no longer wanted them. A word to those who don't like burgers or are tired of them...explore the other options on the menu! So far, they have not disappointed.

Excellent gastropub in Santa Monica. Great selection of microbrews on tap, fun, art deco "office" style decor. They have another restaurant in Culver City, but the original holds it's own. Helpful staff and great reviews to boot. High rating with Zagat, which makes this place perfect place to stop after dinner or for dinner. The night I stopped by we closed the place (2am). We had no idea it was the late. Fun experience.

FO has a decent beer selection, good crowd and a low d-bag/fake level. i didn't eat any full meals but the spicy olives and mushrooms appetizers are great. the size of the place seems comfortable to me(?)

I love this place. Like, A lot. the burger is bomb. they cook it how you like it. no baloney. the beer selection is vast. i like to sit at the bar which is very large but comphy. i'm talking about the one on venice. the one in santa monica is a bit tighter. but i really like this place and if you like burgers, you will too.

my buddies and i were planning on coming here after being away at school for half a year. we were worried because of the hype but the place turned out to be AWESOME! burger? GOOD. beer? GOOD. seating? limited, but adequate. definitely going to come back if i'm ever back in the area :)

Very rarely does a place live up to the hype, but fo did. Since moving to Santa Monica a few weeks ago, I was so excited to check out this place. The selection of beers was amazing, and the bartenders were friendly and helpful. The burger was awesome and I'm looking forward to trying everything else. The prices are expensive, but fair for the quality you receive. You could really do some damage if you wanted to try a lot of the food and beer. I had two beers and a burger and got out for $35 with tip. Not an everday place, but cool once in awhile.

  • MTBer I.

I finally got a chance to see what the hype was all about. The much raved about burger was different. It being gourmet and stylized with Gruyère and blue cheeses and loaded with caramelized onion. It was good but not the greatest. The burger was moist and flavorful but it just didn't do it for me. It might have been the bitterness of the cheeses not mixing with subtle sweetness of the onions. There just wasn't a symphony in my mouth. I found the need for ketchup after the first couple of bites. As for the fries, the shoestrings were the best! I would come back here just for the fries. They were so tasty! I suspect they were fried in duck fat! The sweet potato fries were alright...nothing your table would fight over.

I fell in love the minute I walked in. Small place, crowded yet friendly and welcoming. And let me tell you.....OMG, OMG, O-M-G The office burger is the shiiiiznits! The spicy lamb skewers are goooood, but again the burger (practically drooling as I type) is eminently recommended. Beer + 1/2 burger, 1/2 burger + Beer = one satisfied customer (=

The Father's Office burger is famous, and deserves the reputation. Their sweet potato fries are also very good. What I go here most for is their beer. They have a great selection on their menu, as well as seasonal beers. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and will pour you tasters if you're not sure of your selection. Seating here is somewhat limited and you basically have to lurk around for people to leave. It gets really crowded around happy hour and dinner time, but dies down later on at night. You also order everything at the bar. If you order food, they will give you a number and the food will be brought out to you. Great place to grab dinner or some drinks. .

Not trying to be a hater, but there are better burgers in LA. Also, I get that there's a chefs creative vision and all, but no ketchup on the premises?? Really?? Ummm, OK, although I thought this was America.... Also, a close friend of mine swears they brought his food out 20 minutes after everyone else in the group because he was black. Now while I don't believe that as I was there, it was horrendous service & that's not cool for what they're charging. That said, the food isn't terrible and the Downtown Culver City area is definitely cool, so I'd come back if everyone in the group was going because the atmosphere is pretty fun...

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place...but damn. This is my personal favorite burger. The mix of caramelized onions, arugula, blue and gruyere cheese, and apple-wood bacon with that roll/bun puts this burger into god-beast-mode. When you bite into this burger, theres an overflow of juices that'll run down your arm. So good. The garlic fries were also the bomb. If i were to die today, I might want this as my last meal.

The burgers are to die for and they have lots of good beers on tap. When it's crowded it's hard to find a seat to eat, but the food is worth it. It's a good place to meet up to wind down after work.

Burgers are VERY good. Sweet potato fries are required. Choice of brews shifts but there is always something you will like (not quite as many choices as Wurstkuche). BUT, they don't open the doors until Noon on Friday and Weekends, and it is just silly - there is a crowd waiting for lunch, and they could help a lot of people out who need to get in and out by opening at 11:30 am.

This place makes me smile :) I am a burger person and this is the BEST burger I've ever had! I can't ask for anything more because they also serve extremely delicious sweet potato fries that comes in a small, cute shopping cart! I strongly recommend stopping by in the afternoon as it gets crowded during peak hours considering the place is so small. Leave the kiddos at home too because it is 21+ since it is technically a bar and they card you outside.

Great beer and great burgers, but SO expensive! I loved the extensive beer options, and how many local brews they had on tap. My burger was well cooked, and I liked the seasoning on the fries. But why can't I have ketchup? I am not a person who enjoys mayo-like dipping sauces, and I really couldn't enjoy my fries properly without ketchup. My friend ordered the Spanish mushrooms appetizer, which was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place, but I have to say it was very difficult getting them to take my order. Being less than five feet tall, it took quite a while to push my way to the bar and get someone's attention. Plus, the noise level in there is quite high.

As my bf says, FO had "broke da mouth" office burger and sweet potato fries. Though the line outside, plus the longer wait for a seat inside, can be intimidating, it's worth the drive to the west side. I was taken aback by my (expensive on my pocket) $12.50 glass of Italian red wine, but one sip and I was hooked. The smooth, deep bodied, fruity wine sent me to the orchards and back. They also had a well-stacked list of quality beers on tap. It's beer heaven! Great vibe, gourmet food, and choice selections of wine and beer. What more can I add to 700+ reviews? 5 stars!

The burger here is a good one, but not being a fan of blue cheese, it's not my favorite. However, the sweet potato fries are the best I have every had, and I've had a lot. They are crisp on the outside and nice and soft inside. They come with a creme fraiche dip which pairs perfectly for a light side dish. Cost is pretty high though, burger and sweet potato fries are $20 together.

Scoping for a table is half the fun. The other half of the fun is the awesome burger and selection of beer. I prefer the original over the Culver CIty location - it has a more local vibe.

Best burger I have ever eaten, period -- and the sweet potato fries are like crack. Great selection of beers, great bartenders, and just awesomely straightforward. Y If it's crowded (which it often is, unless you come right at 5 when they open), you may have to either stand up to eat or prey upon people until they leave. But it's worth it either way.

I am so glad my girls took me here. I can't wait to come back! The sweet potato fries was delicious. My friend and I shared The office burger, one bite and it sent me to burger heaven! This has to be one of the best burger places I have ever been to. No reservation (so what? order a beer or two and mingo...this is LA after all) No customization on your burgers (no need anyway). OOOH, One thing to mention - the ladies room ....if you are not skinny, it's hard to get in.

Cool joint. Don't let the outside fool you, the inside is clean and the crowd seems to be well mannered Brentwood residents and UCLA kids. All the burgers are cooked in bacon so its not a jew friendly burger joint. The food is otherwise great (goat cheese, olives, etc). The beer selection is great. Would definitely come back here for a chilled out Thursday.

Among the best burgers in town. There are some great burger joints around, so I don't know that I'd call one of them THE best, but the Father's Office burger is in my top 2 or 3. The seating is a bit wild-west, so you either have to count on the kindness of strangers or your own boldness to get you seat. The fries are good shoestring fries, and the dipping sauce that you get with them is very good. The beer selection is quite good. I was disappointed, however, that there were no hard liquor options.

Always have had a great experience every time going to father's office. I would recommended getting their early as it is standing room only. Amazing craft beer selection! Also, no substitutions on food items and no ketchup.
