I actually never tried Hobags during my first year in sjsu. Yup I don't know where have I been either. But ever since I moved to my apartment, which is fairly close to hobags. It became my go-to brunch spot after my class. I used to come here 4 times a week when I first discovered this place and the line is always long in the morning. It won't be normal if the line is not long but it goes by pretty quick. One time I decided to come here before my 8am class and expected there would be a shorter line. I mean who would get up this early nowadays right? Mannnn I was so wrong, the line is even longer. The line not only consisted of sjsu students but all these wall street looking people were in line for a damn bagel too. And you know the bagel is good when that happened. My recommendations: -everything on a pesto bagel -everything on a cheese bagel ( but pesto is my fave) -pizza bagel which is basically cheese and pesto (you know what's up when pesto is involved) I know everyone said oh all the bagels from Hobags are good but I personally don't like the egg bagel. I got it on a weekend afternoon when they ran out of most of the bagels. It was dry and bland. So come here early to get the PESTO people!!!

I love this place!!! The only downfall is that it closes at 3 and there isn't much parking, especially on the weekdays when sjsu is in session. I recommend the pesto bagel egg bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich or the sundried tomato sandwich. Coffee drinks aren't bad here either. Super affordable and nice little outdoor seating area. Great little weekend spot for a lazy morning.

This place is so delicious! I always come here after my morning class with my friends to get our bagel fix. It's somewhat of a walk from SJSU campus, but it's worth it! Just a heads up that there's always a line, but it does go fast. The staff are very fast and they're pretty nice. When your order is ready, the lady (who works at the register) will usually stare at you until you come and get your food. She remembers who gets what, which is pretty amazing for someone who takes everyone's order. I love their pesto bagel and it's so bomb! Honestly, their bagels are so good. It's best when it first comes out. I mean, fresh is better of course. It's not too expensive for a poor college student and it definitely fills you up at $4. I definitely recommend this place for your bagel needs!

If you're an SJSU student and you haven't eaten here yet then you've probably never gone through an all-nighter before. This is the breakfast place to go to when you've been up all night, studying for an exam later the day, have a hangover or just whatever in general. Probably one of the best bagel shops in the area and the prices are very good too! I always get the breakfast bagel sandwich in the morning with a cup of coffee to go. Try the lox bagel when you can, it's top notch too!
