Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Least favorite location, by far. The customer service was okay. The workers were not so friendly. I understand that there was a long line but it doesn't hurt to say "hi, how's it going" when you are ringing me up. On top of that, I ordered a steak burrito with NO guac. The worker rang me up with guac, charging me an extra $2.07 (including tax) to my bill. I didn't notice it at first until I looked at the receipt. I had to go back to the worker and wait for a refund. It took a while for them to give me a refund because the worker was new and didn't know what he was doing. On top of that, they took the original receipt and didn't give me a copy of it. They only gave me a receipt of my refund of $2.07. The guy was busy before I could ask for a copy. Food wise, it could have been a lot better. I usually order a steak burrito. The steak here were in cubes and were EXTRA chewy. It was too chewy to the point that my mother would take one bite and spit it out. I was first thrilled that they opened a location close to me, but now I don't even think I want to go back. It totally ruined my appetite. Maybe in the future they will learn and change their qualities, but as of right now, I don't plan on coming back.

It's Chipotle. I'm reading through the other reviews and I can't say I've shared any of the same experiences. Because of time constraints from work (and I'm just tired from work), I usually swing by this Chipotle at least twice a week for dinner, and I've yet to be disappointed. I grab myself a steak/chicken bowl, their portioning is always generous in my eyes, and they're quick/kind about the whole process through. Not sure what everyone is expecting from this chain, but they're delivering on every front that I can think of for a successful location. Cheers.

I don't know why this location has so little stars. i have been going here since it opened and obviously you should cut some slack for a brand new business that has employees that are brand new. There service since then has improved and I have never been unhappy with it. the staff is always very nice and accommodating and the food is delicious!

Chipotle Mexican Grill is not Mexican food nor is it grilled. Their friendly youthful employees who were all smiles during a busy line twice ignored my suggestion to review the Artic settings on their AC system which gave shivers for all the people in line. It was 65 degrees outside & it saved us all from frostbite I suspect. My sister ordered the quesadilla & it was greasy & flavorless, unless you like the taste of paper after wiping it down with 2 napkins. I ordered the carnitas burrito with rice, lettuce, corn, guacamole & cream. They could've had a winner if they actually GRILLed the burrito. However, you end up with a luke warm entree on the meat side & a cold soggy wrap on the other side of the burrito. The seasoning on the meat was actually flavorful for being a high volume product, yet it was like showered by ICE because of the lack of an essential finalcooking step. This place is better than Taco Bell....but not by much.

Love! Came to get a post workout meal. Big big shoutout to Raymond. Seriously the sweetest! We ordered one of those quesorittos or whatever, and my sister and I wanted different things. So he was able to put things on each of our sides and cut it in half. Thanks again Raymond!

Chipotle is a hype, a lot of people enjoy the burritos and the bowls, but today my huge craving for a steak burrito was literally killed because of the service they provide. Right when I walked in, I was greeted, cool I thought, but once I walked to one of the ladies to say I wanted a burrito she looked at me with the biggest disgust in her face and all I said was "A burrito with steak please" and she asked me again "what kind of meat?" There was ignorance. Then on top of that, the dude that ended up wrapping my burrito ripped it and tried to play it off like he didn't, but I noticed and asked him to fix it. It took two people to fix my burrito and all they did was rewrap it with another tortilla. I craved a burrito all day starting from the time I worked, I was hoping for a quick, simple ordering process, but instead got bad service and an over wrapped burrito.

I agree with the other reviews. This is the stingiest Chipotle I have ever been to which is laughable! The portions are small, the workers are rude, and the management is terrible. The employee's seem as though the burrito bowls come out of their own pockets. Please change the staff and management, they 'give' such tiny portions and were out of the fajita vegetables. When I asked for guacamole the girl just dabbed it on- really?! I just want to go behind the bar and teach the staff how to properly serve customers their moneys' worth. Smh will not return.

I'M SO LIVID RIGHT NOW!!!!!! Just left this place and ordered my salad and chose all my toppings. Paid for it and I asked for my salad dressing. He said "Sorry we're all out." WTF?! Why didn't any one tell me when I ordered the salad?!!!!!!!! Chipotle is such a great place but this location sucks which is why this place has like 2 stars!!!! I even said well I don't want my salad anymore then and he didn't do crap about it!!!! Headed to the other Chipotle right now. Don't go here, the reviews say it all!
(1)Annie S.
I wasn't a big fan of chipotle to begin with because they lack in flavor and have the salty taste in EVERYTHING. I came in after work craving a burrito bowl. Wait wasn't so so long, but long enough for the goosebumps to appear on my skin since they blast their AC. I'm not the type of person to complain about things since I do work in the food industry myself and I understand what the workers are going through. No hesitation from wanting two scoops of rice and no beans! The Asian lady was nice and piled my bowl high. Got what I was expecting even though I was hesitant coming here from reading the reviews that they skimp. I do admit that they skimp on the meat and salsa, BUT they added plentiful amounts of veggies which still had a crunch to them. Since I'm not a big fan of chipotle, I'll only come here once in a while. If anything changes, then they will lose a good tipping customer.
(3)Sandeep S.
Chipotle has made some changes in staff and service so this place is getting a little bit better in that front and deserving 2 more extra stars.
(3)Mimi T.
The things you look for in a Chipotle: Serving sizes- meh I feel like the workers skimp sometimes and they'll give you a couple of nuggets short of 4 oz and you're a couple of nuggets short of slappin' these fools Assembly Speed- maybe they had some new workers when I came but it was rather slow and there were about 8 people behind me Ingredients- Same 'potle goodness And one special complaint about a worker who on a busy night decided to goof around behind the counter when I was just tryna get my burrito bowl goin'. You can laugh while you work but quit talkin' and get scoopin'
(3)Christina L.
I love Chipotle! I had a really great experience the first time I came to this location when it first opened. The gentleman that was making my bowl was friendly and gave large portions. However, my visits ever since then have been mediocre. The service is not as good and the portions are a lot smaller. Whenever I ask for extra tomatoes, the employees kind of glare at me. They don't at other locations! I feel like I'm doing something wrong for asking for more tomatoes. But hey! I never get sour cream!
(3)James N.
Of all of the locations in San Jose, this one is the worst. The portions are small, the workers are rude, and the management is terrible. I swear, it's as if the rice and beans come out of their own pockets. I came here with my team after our performance to grab a bite and boy, did we get a handful of bad. My friend asked jokingly why the guacamole was expensive and the cashier came from out of the blue and placed her hand on the table in an aggressive manner and said, "LET ME TELL YOU WAH, EET'S EXPENSIVE!" and she started going on about how they make it every morning fresh with a machine masher. You use a machine? Bravo. They had 0 forks in their trays as well. We had to ask them to refill it for us. I can understand that they are new which is why they are slow and don't give a lot of food but man, I just don't understand where the cashier got all her attitude and hate towards a common question about the guacamole. I'd only come here if I desperately wanted Chipotle and I was unwilling to eat a delicious In N Out burger. 2 Stars.
(2)Thu N.
Agree with other reviews. Although the staffs are nice (not all, the guy who gave me rice was nice, the rest was mehh), they are very very very cheap on food. When I asked for extra corn the girl was just like slam the corn into my bowl. They were also rushing me. Like I wanted sour cream on the side but the girl wouldn't let me finish my sentence and close my bowl already when I havent got the chance to say I wanted lettuce too. Agree that AC was very cold. The poor little boy behind me was shivering waiting for his turn with his mom. At least food was OK. They are fresh, unlike another chipotle I had experienced.
(2)John C.
The black girl that helped me gave me like five pieces of chicken. Didn't give me sour cream like I asked. I asked for guac on the side and the bitch didn't close the lid so it ended up spilling in the bag. I also got chips with a side of hot and the bitch barely filled it up halfway. I could finish that with half the bag stingy ass bitch. Worst chipotle spot in San Jose. I'll take the extra drive to the Newhall location.
(1)Nikisha S.
A chicken bowl with brown rice, mild sauce, cheese, sour cream, corn, and guacamole (the extra charge is fine). I hear A LOT of complaints about the amount of meat that they give is "too little" but seriously?! Just ask for more! We all know if you want more, you're going to have to pay a little more. Common sense people! The staff is definitely young but they are also very friendly! The work well under pressure, especially the time when two customers were arguing with each other inside of the store. It definitely is not authentic Mexican food but they never said it was authentic but it hasn't disappointed me yet and hopefully they won't!
(4)Saurabh S.
Was glad to finally see a Chipotle open up here. However, out of my 3 experiences there, I would rate this place at 1 star. The meat is always under cooked and the steak is technically all raw inside. This not just happened once but three times. The bowl is not packed like other places are. I go to the Chipotle in Los Gatos and they take care of you. Food is very well portioned compared to this place. It's like paying 7 bucks for a burrito bowl with less than half of a burrito in a bowl. Management, please step it up. Most probably not going to go back to this locations again. Service is friendly but the food is not to "Chipotle" standard.
(1)Holly L.
Finally a Chipotle in ESSJ! It's in the same plaza as In&Out/Lucky's across Eastridge Mall. And surprisingly, it's one of the nicer Chipotle's in San Jose! It took over the Game Stop that was originally there. I really always order the same thing so I haven't tried anything else but I love my Steak Bowl as much as I love Chipotle. Extra white rice, no beans, steak, fresh tomatoes, medium sauce, corn, 1/2 sour cream, 1/2 cheese, and lettuce. You also have to add a lot of the Tabasco Chipotle sauce, duh, it's signature. On bonus days, I'll add chips and guac. I love how they fill their containers to the max. No skimping anywhere. They are always more than happy to put anything on the side for you as well. Thank you Chipotle for finally making it out here! We ordered out but it's fairly neat and clean. P.S. When you don't want to wait in line, you can order through your phone or online! Can't beat that!
(4)Mary M.
Visit #2 produced a very different outcome ! This time around was great, as expected it was packed, line was moving at a steady pace and the portions were a vast improvement compared to the last time. My custom crafted bowl of goodness came out exactly as I liked and hope that this will carry from now on, they will do LOTS of business and have a lot of happy customers if they do, I, as one of the many, will be returning !
(4)Mae C.
I love Chipotles, but this one does not have the greatest service. Very young staff who are always talking with each other and not focusing on the line. Very slow staff kind of frustrating that they can't keep the line moving. Only 2 people working the line! Understaffed for a Friday night! Get a clue!
(2)Catherine T.
I usually just brush it off when I have a bad experience at a restaurant but after coming here THREE times and all of them being bad- I urgently had to yelp this place. I would love to write a well thought out post of my bad experiences but I'll keep it short. CONS - Rude employees - Yes young man let's yell WELCOME TO CHIPOTLE obnoxiously in my face why don't you. Untrained employees (I don't care if it just opened, not enough training to suffice) Stingy employees- Other Chipotles hook you up, this location thinks one grain of brown rice is a scoop. Long lines - They gossip and talk to each other while the line feeds out through the doors. Man I can't even finish my review because I just want to drop kick all of them in the face.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've ordered online twice since I work down the street and wanted to pick up some lunch for some of my associates and I. Visit one: by the time I had gotten to the restaurant they had not even started on my order wasting about 10 mins of my lunch hour. After the girl at the register couldn't split the tender correctly and wasted about 5 more minutes trying to figure it out and ended up charging me wrong. Visit two : food was ready but the order was wrong -_-. So irritating, again I only have an hour for lunch. I needed to pay for 4 separate meals and the girl at the counter went on to explain I should've done 4 separate orders, which I clearly did since each order had a different name. She couldn't figure out the split and pushed me to the side to clear all the other customers in line then figure mine out after as if I had all day to wait. She told me she couldn't split it and eventually had to call her manager, FINALLY! ...NOT. The manager pissed me off as she tried to explain the ordering process and all I was interested in was leaving so I can eat my food. Within seconds the manager split each meal and I paid the way I intended to. So obviously it's possible to split the tender to the incompetent cashier who said she couldn't. The manager cashed me out and I was tempted to tell her about the chips she had on her face but decided it would be better for her to wear it all day for her nasty attitude and wasting my time. Please make sure all your staff is trained properly instead of telling the customer you can't do things when in fact you just don't know how! Your local businesses are your biggest supporters.

I always come here for a chicken burrito bowl. Its loaded with protein and veggies. Its the perfect pre or post workout meal. Fast and friendly service at thus location.
(4)Elizabeth M.
For the first time ever, I will say the words, "there was too much guacamole." Or maybe it wasn't that there was too much guac, but nearly NO BEANS OR RICE! They are definitely stingy with the rice and beans portion. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl online after reading the bad reviews of this place. When I got there there was a long line and went straight to the register, the cashier, who was friendly, took a couple of minutes to ring me up because she wasn't "assigned a drawer" and didn't know how to assign it. Meanwhile the long line that I cut in front of, is now eyes on me waiting for me to be rung up. Besides the sizing, and the spoonfuls of guac I ate, the fajita veggies were good and the chicken was as well. They just need to work on the training of the servers.
(2)Aimee V.
3 Stars +1 for being so close and local. I always get a veggie or chicken bowl with chips and eat it like nachos, yuuummm!! veggie comes with free guac ;) I feel like the line doesnt move efficiently or maybe it was the people in front of me ordering hella burritos maybe? Idk. I dont mind the wait but the servers are either pleasant or ruude. I got heaping portions of rice and beans and smiles. and then a tiny bit of sour cream/chicken from the next grumpy worker LOL. Boo Line is slow, food is decent, overall nice local place to grab a bite
(4)Rhyan G.
How does a chipotle get 2.5 stars from soooo many reviews!?!?! I know a when I see it . As for this location , I will not be trying it. Everything in this shopping center has something wrong with it!.. I'll stay far away. No Bueno Chipotle
(1)Karla G.
My experience at this chipotle was "ehh." It started of by them not having crispy shells for the tacos. Then the girl proceeded to only give me two tacos and I had to remind her it was 3. She also only gave me like three pieces of chicken per taco. My friend got a bowl that was a portion for ants. PEGION FOOD!! Omg she finished that shit in like 3 minutes and again only had like 5 pieces of steak. The girl at the register needs to tone down the yelling also. Almost popped my ear drum. This chipotle isn't the best, although they do a great job at keeping their bathrooms clean.
(1)Andrew R.
Happy it's finally in the Evergreen area. Staff seemed rushed and overwhelmed but overall made a good burrito. Well, correction, quesarito. Yes the myth of Chipotle, quesarito. It was 'okay' wouldn't go out of my way to get it again. The one thing I noticed was four of their fountain drinks were out. Very interesting especially on a busy Saturday.
(3)Marcus M.
Went in because my family wanted Chipotle. I really like the sofritas since I gave up meat for Lent. Tofu cooked with spices and chilis, that's genius. When we came in there was only a few people inside, maybe because there is a sign in the front that says shortage. We ordered a burrito and 3 bowls. The bowls looked like it was lacking, but we felt that it was fine because the three bowls were small. We figured that was the amount that they usually put. I even tipped them $3. As we were eating we noticed that other people's bowls had a lot of food in it. Whaaaaat?... Why do they give people more and we got less? I will no longer give a tip. The food is good, the service is mediocre. I had times in here that the workers would make me wait so that they could chat about gossip. The lady with the tattoos is not that pleasant. The ladies are pretty slow. I did notice that some of the guys there work pretty hard, probably to make up for the ladies.
(2)Cassy T.
They ALWAYS give very little portions. Even when I ask for salad bowls--I only get like 5 pieces of salad. WTH!! Not even exaggerating!! Happened a few times. Chicken is sometimes cold. Also, it is always cold in here... The best thing about chipotle I can say is their guac.
(2)Dave D.
I was so happy when a Chipotle opened in my neighborhood. Unfortunately my happiness did not last. The quality and quantity are severely lacking here. What I received the last two trips (yeah I won't be going back) was a stale tortilla with very skimpy amounts of everything. Even by chipotle standards...
(2)Janice K.
It's a new location. Chill out, people. I don't agree with the low reviews. Sure, the line is long.. That only means it's worth the wait! If they ran out of something, they just need to adjust their orders of certain items. That's how you know all the ingredients aren't just delivered in bulk and piled into a freezer. They are still in the "training" phase. On my visits, the service has always been great. The food is delicious. The line goes pretty fast. Burrito bowl with brown rice, small amount of black beans, carne asada, corn salsa, mild salsa, hot salsa, small amount of cheese, topped off with shreds please!
(4)Kevin N.
I agree with the people that complained about the stingy portion size and the un-welcoming service from the staff. There are many locations in the area so feel free to visit the other places if you really are a fan of this chain :)
(1)Ray T.
Very skimpy on portions. I asked for fajita veggies on my tacos and she literally gave two slivers of peppers. Sloppy and rushed, staff not friendly. It doesn't take that much extra time to be nice. Unacceptable.
(2)Priscilla L.
So my work place wanted to get Chipotle for lunch. The first time we've ordered here before through fax, maybe 9/12 food they made were correct. But today....they f up on ALL the orders. Yup, all 12 orders. A co-worker of mine got a burrito w/ everything in it....guess how big the burrito came out to be? The size of an iPhone 4. Wtf? That's unacceptable. Also, the salads? Don't get me started on the salads. The salads were only half full...like where's the hell's other half? If you're company/work place or whatever wants to eat Chipotle, don't come here. They can't read properly nor do they make it right. So save yourself the trouble and go to another Chipotle with better Yelp stars/reviews.
(1)Jose B.
Fire everyone and re hire some people that want to work in food customer service!! Horrible experience I rather drive to milpitas great mall Chipotle !!! And I live 5 mind from this one smh
(1)Kevin J.
This is a very good Chipotle out of all the ones I've been to I like this location alot. Friendly and clean. I thought they can serve people fast but it's kind of slow to walk out the building. Maybe because they are new and the staff is still learning but it's okay for now hopefully in a couple of months they will be on their A game.
(4)Tammy T.
I was so excited to have a chipotle open up nearby but boy was I quickly disappointed. Ordered my regular:a salad with chicken and for the life of me I couldn't find any chicken in the mix after the first three bites. Being able to see the preparation of your food is supposed to benefit the customer but it wasn't in this case because they were so skimpy on all the ingredients. A pinch of salad, half a scoop of chicken and three times too much salsa just made for a horrible stomach ache later. My bowl was soggy from all the salsa after my ten minute drive home. & I completely understand that this is a new location but seriously? This girl could not roll a burrito to save her life and it had to be for the customer right ahead of me so I watched and watched and watched as she ripped tortilla after tortilla before she asked for someone else to do it. Yeah, that was a waste of at least seven minutes. I do intend to visit again...maybe after the first six months of their trial period.
(2)Victoria M.
My husband loves this place and with good reason too! Although it's a franchise -- I feel like their ingredients are fresh and unlike other cal-mex restaurants, the food doesn't leave you feeling bloated or like shooting yourself for eating there. They're quick and efficient and it's always packed, which means the masses agree that this place is the business! I also love that they're decently priced too.
(4)Elayne B.
Waiting just like everyone else. I've had a bad experience with chipotle in the past, so hopefully this location will be good
(5)Johnny G.
typical chipotle. I dont even consider chipotle mexican food. I will say its mexican inspired american food. But for what it is the ingredients are fresh and the food is good. Nothing to complain about. Seems like this place has picked up its service. They greet you when you walk and and when I asked for extra lettuce and beans they obliged. Cant complain I enjoyed my chicken burrito bowl!
(3)Brian R.
Food is always good. Ordered a party burrito box on sat for sun. I was 15 min late and told to wait 10-15 more min. Hmm... Total of 30 min late is a big deal. I hope they read this and someone gets bk to me. You got my email/ and phone number 24 burritos 130pm sunday 4/06.
(2)Jeremy B.
Been here twice now, the first was for it's pre opening due to invitations brought over to where I work for a free burrito, bowl, tacos or salad. Both times the service was not bad and the workers acknowledged/apologized for the wait in line when I went to pay on the second time here.
(4)Carol P.
I will always love Chipotle but his location is seriously in drought of the salad vinaigrette. This is literally my 3rd time during dinner and they're out of dressing again! I've provide feedback on the corporate website but nothing has changed. Why are the employees so lazy to make more dressing??? Worst location ever!!!
(1)David V.
At a glance, it seems small from the outside. But once I walked in, it was relatively big and had seatings in the back of the restaurant. However, it was cold. Additionally, it looks very modernized and clean. I understand that this is a new location and they've must've hired and trained new employees, so I was not expecting top notch service. But, they were good on handling my order and everything turned out to be great. They were friendly and got everything right.
(4)Elizabeth B.
I was way to excited for this locations opening , but that all ended as soon as I got to the counter to order. 1st there tortilla press didn't work took about 4 mins to heat up my tortilla for my burrito. 2nd the chicken I ordered and mixed veggies were charred . Lastly I ordered a bag of chips con salsa and they were stale . Over all a disappointment all around I went around 12:30 no wait in line but the process took about 10 mins. Next time I'll just go to In and out .
(1)Gabriel V.
Staff is very slow I'm guessing because there new. They should off transferred some people from other locations instead and let the other locations hire new people. This location takes it's sweet time I don't think the understand that we live in the Silicon Valley time is money. Plus people are extremely stingy with the meat and the beans
(1)Chase L.
Great atmosphere. Friendly workers. Slow long line, but they just open can't really expect much. Best Burrito I have ever ate. 5 Stars. Keep up the great work.
(5)Letty F.
So far this is my favorite location. Employees are attentive and give customers undivided attention. The atmosphere is chill (love their music) and the space is pretty big, so there is plenty of room for activities (step bros reference lol). And of course, the food is always AMAZING!!!!! Every time I have been to this location most employees are smiling and seem glad to be there. I also want to mention that I have also witnessed some rude customers complain about dumb things and I have to say that the staff is pretty professional about it and have ALOT of patience, because I would have told some of them to go prepare their own damn food at home if they didn't like what they got here. I just can't stand to see picky customers complain about the smallest things...it drives me insane. So keep up the good work chipotle!
(5)Jennifer A.
Hit or miss with the service. Some days they are super peppy and some are so bland and almost rude. Also the food portions are VERY different some days. For $1.90 I'd like a large helping of guacamole but some days its half or even a quarter of the spoon. I guess they are still getting their portions figured out.
(4)Leslie F.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They are extremely friendly and do a very good job with the food. I have been her 5 times and every time I have been satisfied. I have read reviews of this place that were very negative. I would just like to say to all those people who are wrote bad reviews, if you plan on complaining about loud greetings or no greetings, service, or prices just pipe the freak down stay home and make your own food.
(5)Nikka G.
I've usually had an "ok" experience going to different Chipotles but this one is just not consistent. Went there for the first time a few months ago and it was alright. Last week my boyfriend went there to pick up food for us and the girl that was making our order totally ignored what he asked to have on the tacos (just chicken soft tacos one order with guacamole and sour cream the other order with sour cream), she decided ALL ON HER OWN to add this corn salsa on ALL of the tacos. Come on now can you not take SIMPLE directions? That corn salsa totally ruined the tacos and we ended up throwing out 4 out of 6 of them (we tried to pick most off but they were heavily mixed in). Then this past Sunday we went back and literally ordered the tacos and walked to the car and the tacos were COLD AGAIN (yes this happened with the corn salsa tacos as well), how are the tacos cold within a matter of SECONDS? Besides the fact that they pile on SO much guacamole you can literally scrape it off with 5-6 chips and STILL have too much guacamole this place needs to get it together! Also VERY skimpy with portions, all other Chipotles give you way more.
(1)Tran T.
I definitely love the food!! YUMMM!! From their burritos to their salad bowls!! Love that you are able to customize your food to your liking at the same price. MINUS STARS FOR ALWAYS HAVING AT LEAST ONE GRUMPY FEMALE EMPLOYEE AT EACH VISIT. Downside? The employees ... You never know what kind of service you'll get but luckily its more of a fast food so you're in and out instead of having them as actual servers. Sometime you get some really unhappy/grumpy female. It's always a female that I come across that has that B**** face. Lines are really long but it goes by pretty fast. Bring a jacket, came in today and thought I'd freeze before getting my food =/

Ordered online and it doesn't get any clearer than printed instructions. I ordered a carne asada bowl with white rice, pinto beans, cheese, all the salsas, extra lettuce, and guacamole. First of all, they were out of guacamole....again.....I did NOT order my bowl with sour cream....they slathered sour cream all over the top and topped it with 4 pieces of lettuce.....thanks for my "extra lettuce". This is not the first time they've screwed up my order. Unbelievable!

This is the worse Chipotle ever. Ordered burrito bowl online and picked it up in store: 1. Rice was under cooked 2. barely any chicken 3. 4 pieces of lettuce 4. HALF an unripe avocado in my bowl! They skimp you on everything. Just go to a different location.

I try not to be a hater.. Especially with CHIPOTLE.. But uh, this location is not up to par. The scoops they give you may be even less than the scoops they give you at the mall. THATS SAYING A WHOLE LOT. I mean, You don't have to pack on the ingredients but.. Can we at least make a 5 year old Full? Please, pretty please? Maybe another splash of rice or something? Hm? :*/

The food is good... As any Chipotle branch there is. The manager, Eric A. , on the other hand, has no clue on how to do his job. He knew that the online services aren't working. And he doesn't inform their IT or whoever is in charge of the online services to disable the services provided online. He apologizes like a robot, nowhere near sincerity. A note to the corporate office, HR... please check on this branch and this manager. If the field that you're in is under customer service, please make sure you hire the proper staff to run your restaurants. If I could give this restaurant's customer service a rating below 1... I'd give it a -10.

FLY IN OUR FOOD. I posted a picture in the photos section. Always check to make sure that there are no flies. We showed this to the employees and they replaced our food.

I just like to commend on the server who got my order today. Very nice guy, he tried his best to speak my language and very helpful.

This was probably the first time I've been to Chipotle in a few months. I came in today walking straight up to the register, because I ordered my meal using their app beforehand. Alexander accidentally charged me the wrong amount, so I had to give him my card so he could charge again. When I came home, I got my burrito bowl, but my chips were missing. They forgot to give me my chips, but remembered to charge it. The reason for why I haven't been to Chipotle in a while was because I found chunks of plastic in my burrito bowls. When I first found the piece of plastic, I ignored it. I guess because I refused to think of my favorite fast food restaurant to be unsanitary, so I continued to come back. But then, When I came back to order a bowl, that one contained bigger chunks of plastic in it. That was when I stopped eating at Chipotle. I hypothesized that it one Chipotle had multiple cases on plastic found in their food, then other Chipotles must too. Now these orders were all a couple days apart, so it wasn't just one bad batch of steak, rice, beans & sour cream. If you're going to eat from Chipotle, make sure to be careful when chewing their food. You don't want to accidentally swallow plastic. They also recently raised their prices, so you'll basically be spending $10+ for a bowl of plastic.

I was going to mention how this place definitely skimped out on my meal before even reading the other reviews. Probably the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. I got my usual chicken/steak burrito bowl. I mean, Chipotle tastes the same to me at every place but I'm giving this place 2 stars because the workers do not give enough food with orders. Not to sound like I'm being a complete fatso and wanting more food, but never have I seen such a measly burrito bowl. It's too bad this is the closest Chipotle to me.

Walked in today around 2:30pm. The guy serving was not friendly, he didn't smile, and looked like he wanted to go home. He told me the white rice would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I obviously wasn't gonna wait that long. A minute later, after he had already put brown rice in my burrito, something magical happened.... the white rice was ready! It was a miracle before my eyes! Thanks for checkin bud. Then there was the skinny tall asian girl, she was sooo sloooooow. I work next to a Chipotle in santa clara and let me tell you, this is one doesn't even compare.

Attention Chipotle owners: You should lower down your charge on your guacamole. It's a total rip off. Especially now that avocados are 3/$1, unless you are putting three big scoops of guacamole on the burrito bowl, you need to lower down the price from $2.10 to maybe $.75, otherwise, I will make sure to post a review about your restaurant until people see that your guacamole is overcharge. Rip off x 100.

Despite the many negative reviews here, my hunger insisted Chipotle. Lucky for me, today 's lunch was great. The customer service was good. All the employees were friendly with big smiles. Only a couple people in line, so almost no wait during weekday lunchtime. One employee was slightly stingy with the lettuce, but nicely provided more when I asked. Other branches have employees being very rude saying, "Huh?!? You want MORE LETTUCE?????" With a shocked look and mouth gaping open. It was a nice change of pace that I don't need to defend myself here. Food was good. Well done streak as I like it. Chicken and steak were tasty and consistent with other Chipotle branches. The mild salsa was PERFECT because it wasn't spicy, which other branches always do. Chips are good, mostly fresh but a couple stale. Love how it's next to Jamba Juice and Starbucks.

3.5 stars. Came here for the first time during their teacher appreciation day promo (BOGO) at about 9PM. There were a few people in line, but it went quick. I honestly have no complaints about the service or servers, but I agree with other yelp reviews in that they definitely don't give you an abundance of food like other chipotles. But I also know that if you asked for more rice or salsa, they don't say no.

That lil' mousy girl needs to learn how to give bigger portions! Came here three times and two out of the three the portions have been the bare minimum! The last time I came, I ordered a kid's meat quesadilla meal with steak. The boy ordered a burrito bowl with barbacoa. The mousy girl said that he could pick another meat to add since there wasn't enough barbacoa. But by the time she finished scraping out the barbacoa (EXCEPT FOR ONE LITTLE PIECE! WHY!!), she said "Oh there actually was enough meat here!" and moved our food along the line. Don't lie, little girl! You got our hopes up!! Next, my kids meal came with the quesadilla, two sides, a drink, and a baby bag of chips. The same mousy girl packed my baby chips and seriously put only 5 chips in there. Wut. I've ordered the kid's meal before and the baby bag can easily fit more! Ugh. This location is the suck. But it is the closest one to us, so we'll probably be back... unfortunately.

Why is this place getting so many negative reviews? I came here a few days ago with my boyfriend; it was my first time eating here. Ordered a steak bowl and he ordered a burrito and the food was delicious! I've never had steak genuinely melt in my mouth (haha no pun intended) but omg I was in heaven! It actually made me feel guilty for waiting so long to try it, considering that I live two minutes away from there! Customer service was very kind and the place was spotless. The line was long, but the wait was so worth it, I highly recommend the steak!!
(4)Derek F.
Came here again around 9:40pm - no corn or guacamole, the two things I wanted, and same wait, no hustling or bustling .... Update: this place has gotten even worse.
(1)Patrick P.
This is the worst chipotle I've been to in my life! I order a bowl and the cashier asked me what drink did I wanted, and I asked for the Clementine drink, the Orange one, and she rudely asked which ONE, and I said the clementine one... The orange one. Attitude. I'd rather pay to eat deer testicle soup through a straw than to set foot in this chipotle ever again.
(1)Ashwin S.
Pretty much the worst chipotle i've been too! it's so sad because it's down the street from me. The few times i've been at this location I order the burrito bowl, but the employees always give less rice, meat and even lettuce. The only reason i gave it a two stars is because when you ask for more they do add on but not that much more. I'd rather drive to other locations because i've never really had a problem with this issue.
(2)Jacob B.
Have to give 3 stars. Wish I could give more but this location is always out of some type of meat or some garnish. Seemingly every time I've ever gone. The pace is quick and staff have been friendly for the most part with a few exceptions but nonetheless good if in the mood for chipotle. Parking can be tough, watch out.
(3)Koko C.
Came in to get a kids meal.. asked for lettuce 3 times... thought he heard me and thought he asked if I wanted something else. I said now but then no lettuce.. so i said the lettuce and he wanted to say I asked you and you said nothing else. dude don't be an ass hole when I felt as though I was loud enough for you to hear me. pissed me off considering I was in line for 15 minutes (it gets packed at night) so then I asked for more stuff he said there was a limit and then said he won't charge me. eff thay charge me!!! I don't need all this lip service DUDE. Thank goodness for the cutie that rung me up..His smile lightened my mood. 3 stars and word of ADVICE Turn down the damn music or something so the staff can hear I won't holler my dang on order. Pissed me off I'm literally in the car writing this review caused they pissed me off. Not they the last guy completing the order. It's 846pm August 20th,2015. And I'm still pissed. Okay deep breathe. Let me take this damn food home. They need 2.5 stars shoot smh #seriousface

DO NOT COME HERE. The lady that had put my tortilla in the grill had picked her face and wiped sweat prior to making our food AND she had coughed on her gloves. This is a sad excuse for a chipotle, if you want better "authentic" mexican food, drive to taco bell because this place is a fail. She mixed the beans and the rice after i had said black beans and white rice. My girlfriend too had been given a tarnished tortilla and found it unappetiting. We continued our order just so see how the rest of our meal would turn out. The proportions of meat was a disappointment as well. There were 7 pieces of meat in my girlfriend's quesadilla versus the lady in front of ours who had received substancially more. After asking for a greater portion of meat, we still did not receive more. This is as mentioned earlier, is a sad excuse for a restaurant.

Oh Chipotle. I love your concept, I love the chicken, I love the sometimes overly salted chips. But this location, although the most convenient to the ESSJ, I can't love. In the beginning, it was fine. It was a-ok. The Chipotle experience I've had in the classier Chipotle, like the ones in Laguna Beach area in Southern California. Then I guess you bring the Chipotle to the East Side and what do you expect? I came in today for their Sofritas promo. I ordered online like a smart citizen because the lines can be super long. I walked it promptly at 12:30 and my order was not ready. It wasn't even in the process of being made. They make my order (and got the modifications right- which beats the previous time I ordered and did NON of the modifications I asked like sour cream on side, always. They go heavy and I don't like heavy sour cream. They actually didn't even bother to read the ticket at that time. There was salsa I didn't ask for in the bowl) of a sofrita burrito but forgot my chips and corn salsa, still no problem, I just remind them. The lateness, I'm fine with, I wasn't in a rush this time. I was happy they read the order and got the modifications right. I go home to eat my sofrita burrito and chips and corn salsa only to be greeted by frozen corn kernel salsa. Each freakin' kernel was cold and frozen at least in the middle, some were thoroughly frozen. I eat it anyway, I wasn't driving back to complain, but the corn salsa was so cold the container it was in was cold and starting to frost over. Why in good heavens would you give that out? It was a busy day too, so I'm sure the people who were with me at my time of order were also receiving cold corn in their meals. Like I said, I've had previous experiences in this location and its been a slow decline for this particular location. My online orders are never done right and all I want is things on the side and double fajita veggies. The food quality and quantity is also slowly going down. Granted the workers are young and it is a fast paced restaurant but there are standards. I worked in a fast paced food service restaurant with a high volume of internet orders and its not easy, but that doesn't mean that its okay to hand out food that is sub par to standards and I'm hoping frozen corn is below standards. Like most people here this is the most convenient locations for those that live in the area, and I'll most likely be back, but definitely not as often as I would like. And probably only when I'm desperate.

Today I was not impressed with the two female employees working at the station. I asked for a salad bowl and asked for half chicken and carnitas. The Hispanic female employee gave me 3 pieces of carnitas and literally 3 pieces of chicken. When I politely asked for more chicken, she not only seemed unwilling, but went to scoop up just ONE more piece of chicken. And my friend ordered two carne asada tacos. When we asked for sour cream and mild salsa, she threw the condiments on the taco and managed to miss.. seriously? Who could possibly be so sloppy in making a taco? And she didn't even clean up the mess she made on the foil wrapper she eventually used to wrap my tacos in. I frequent this place and have NEVER had such sh**** service before. Next time this happens, I'll make sure the manager is aware of this unprofessional attitude in their employees..

Save yourself a headache & DO NOT go to this Chipotle. Seriously. I just went and got veggie bowls. I swear they added 4 pieces of the onion/pepper mix. I asked for more and the lady added 2 more pieces. I then said to her a THIRD time, more veggies and then she finally added a few more pieces. In addition, they didn't accept a BOGO I had.

You know you are a Chipotle snob when you have conversations inside your head saying things like "Is that really ALL the meat I am getting?" or "Did I really just pay that much for a pinch of guacamole?" But you know what people, you have a voice- if you want more of something then say so! Or just pay more if you want extra meat ya damn heffer. It never fails that when a new Chipotle opens the lines move slow because their line crew still needs practice. But unlike other locations this Chipotle has a large amount of seating, if you walk by the soda machine there is more seating towards the back. I eat bowls, tacos, and burritos here but felt it was best to judge the quality on how fat my burrito would be. It was a decent size, but I have certainly had bigger and better. Like I said, practice makes perfect. I have faith that they will fully satisfy me once the kinks get worked on. Hehe.

It's barely 7:30 PM on a Thursday. White rice is half gone, cubed steak is sitting in the tub with the sauce practically empty. I was going to order a burrito until I saw the portion of the rice equivalent to the cubed steak. I was upset and left immediately. Food was not appealing at all.

When I first saw that there was going to be a Chipotle in my area, I was superrrrr excited! I love Chipotle! It hurts me give this location such a low rating, but it is not cutting my Chipotle standards. I gave this location so many chances. I came here initially when they had like a soft opening where it was invites only. I think it was just to get the new workers more training and experience, so I bypassed how messy they wrapped my burrito. Then for 1 week, I came here 3 times and 2 more times afterwards. Sad to say that I was disappointed each time. They be shady with everything here like it's going to run out! My burrito bowl was not packed like the other Chipotle locations I've been to. Their scoops are dainty like they're using a baby spoon. Service is ehhh... They're nice, but don't listen or communicate well. I've had so many instances where I have to repeat myself. They repeat the order back to me, but forget. I understand if they didn't hear me, but wth? I went here again earlier this week, and for some reason more than half of their sodas are out of order. Also the lemons were not stocked. What is going on? Management needs to step it up. I don't want to hate Chipotle! :(

I've been to many Chipotles. They are all pretty average to me. I typically order the chicken or the tofu Buritto. Brown rice, black beans, veges, sour cream mild+hot salsa, and lettuce. Hard to screw things up. I appreciate the consistency at Chipotle, which is probably why I come back very few weeks. Kinda like McDonalds, not the greatest but at least you know what you're getting. Sometimes I grab chips and Guac, but it seems so overpriced. Guac tastes pretty fresh though, so once in a while I'll splurge. Damn, I'm writing this review at midnight and now I'm craving for a 3 star Chipotle burrito. What?
(3)Alan D.
I'm not being overly critical because it's a chipotle for godsake but I'm going to give it a bit of a leeway here. This location is rather new, and I'm super stoked that this place opened up so close to where I live. Now to actually review the place... Well, I found nothing wrong with customer service. I found the people working were generally very nice. Though the service was slower than I was used to (especially considering the fact that was wasn't the lunch rush). I found that their brown rice had just way too much lemon juice squeezed in. Overall, I'd definitely come back soon, they're bound to be better once the team works together longer.
(3)Nicole G.
I love Chipotle, but this location definitely cheats you on portions. Clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way because other people have reviewed the same thing. I should have gone to the Togos next door instead.
(2)John A.
Went to Chipotle and damn one of the workers was so cute I couldn't even eat my food.
(5)Mommy Of 2 C.
The food is what keeps me coming back the barbacoa burritos are the best! but i just wish it didnt cost an arm and a leg. The price for a burrito with guacamole is about $11 bucks wich is a bit high if you ask me especially me being a part time employee who is still in school full time. I would definitely would go more often if i was able to afford it.

This chipotle Mexican Grill is located on the corner of Tully and Capitol. I went there today to eat lunch and was greeted by very friendly employees, the store was very clean, and the food looked great! they serve the usual chipotle menu burritos, tacos, burrito bowls, etc. they play nice music for you to enjoy while you're eating. The other customers were sitting in groups and enjoying themselves as they were chowing down on their lunch meals. I ordered a Carnitas burrito bowl. It was delicious! It's a brand-new Chipolte and I encourage you to come here and get your chipotle fix on! :-) Welcome to the neighborhood chipotle! We've been waiting for you for a long time! Good job on your beginning at this location! I'm going to come back and bring my friends... I suggest you hit this place up too!
(5)Sarah A.
Super clean store! Things go by quickly, I sensed that there were still workers in training so it took a little bit of time but I appreciated how careful they were with my order and super friendly and polite. My cashier Jackie was super sweet and quick yet also super likable!!!
(5)Jasmyn J.
I would give this place NO STARS!!! I don't know if it's because this place is located on the East Side or what, but it is the worst place I've been to from all the locations. The Employes have horrible customer service skills. Worst of all I found a LONG STRAND OF HAIR in my bowl!!! Talk about disgusting!!
(1)David C.
I love Chipotle, I eat here often, but one of the employees in particular just keeps screwing up... The short girl with the glasses not only added ingredients to my burrito that I did not ask for, she rolled the burrito so freaking loose and sloppily, when I unwrapped it at home the whole thing fell apart and made a mess everywhere. I didn't get her name, but she's the short mousy looking girl with glasses. Please, somebody either teach this girl how to properly wrap a burrito, or station her somewhere else. This is getting ridiculous.
(2)Courtney T.
Delicious, except for the fact that they charge you to add guac to your bowl but barely give you anything. The worker dumped the excess guac on the spoon back into the container thing and then put super little in my bowl. Also, expensive af.
