AWESOME! I just had my April wedding here, and it was great. I had no complaints whatsoever. We hardly needed any decorations because the place stands for itself - we only used a few simple centerpieces, and my DJ provided some LED uplighting. The food was amazing - we had thought so since our food tasting (to which Howard, the owner, allowed us to bring our best man and maid of honor), but it was only reinforced by all of our guests telling us how great the food was - it showed b/c most of them got up to get seconds since we did the buffet option. The staff and service were amazing as well. One of my guests said, "The service is top notch. I didn't even finish my water and they were already refilling my glass." One of my guests forgot her glasses there, and at the end of the night as we were picking up our belongings, one of the waitresses gave them to me and named some of my guests by name, until we figured out who they belonged to, which to me just showed how great their service was - our guests learned their names and they learned our guests'. The ceremony area was beautiful as well. I really believe our wedding was perfect. I told my new husband, "if I happen to get married again, lol, I will do it at Frasinetti's again." Thank you for all of your help Howard! I highly recommend Frasinetti's whether it's a date night or an event!

Gorgeous location, amazing wine, and knowledgeable staff. We went into the tasting room and learned a lot about wines and the wine making process. Peaceful and relaxing, if I get to come back to Sacramento, I'll most definitely be back here! The Burgundy wine makes a great mulled spice wine!

We had our wedding at Frasinetti in Oct. '08. Howard worked everything out with us and kept in contact with me during the process. As the day approached, Howard offered to allow us to have our wedding in the gazebo area (we had paid to have it in the much smaller area near the reception room) and also allowed me the use of their bridal room since he had no other reservations for that time, which was just awesome. The food was great, the wine was ok (we opted to go with the Frasinetti wines so that we would not have to pay the added corkage to bring our own & I would describe it as drinkable). They had a full bar, which was not hosted, but our guests were very happy to have access to as well. We loved every single thing about our wedding locale and the food & service were great too. Thank you, thank you Howard and everyone at Frasinetti's, if we had to do it all again, we would do it at Frasinetti's!

First visit for our 26th anniversary. Very good food. Friendly staff good service. Well hidden off Florin Road by the tracks. Unique place in Sacramento with a great deal of history. I agree with most of the reviews that the food is great and the wine is okay. I you want to buy a bottle there are more expensive wines. Only the house wines are available by the glass. The Pineapple-Walnut Torte was great to split after our meal. It is not Original Joe's in San Francisco or San Jose, but very good food. Thanks Groupon and staff for a nice experience. They needed more help in the tasting room tonight.

On my Bike Ride yesterday... I wanted to try the only remaining Italian restaurant (excluding chains...) in the Elk Grove, South Sacramento area... without venturing into downtown Sacramento I didn't know there was an Italian restaurant out here! This was one of my commute routes when I worked in East Sacramento... long ago. On the menu... Bread & Butter (*** Complimentary) Small, sliced (and room temp) French Bread Loaf, with wrapped Pats of Butter. I appreciated the endless supply of French Bread versus the negativity of some Yelpers over the the fact that the Bread came out Cold. ... Really didn't mind it all that much myself... Caesar Salad (*** 1/2 $6.50) Romaine Lettuce with Creamy Caesar dressing topped with (a whole lot of) slivers of Parmesan Cheese with Garlic Croutons. Specialty of the House - GRANDMA Rose's Pot Roast (*** 1/2 $12.95) Slow-Roasted tender cuts of Beef topped with a Port Demi-Glaze and served over Spaghetti with their family Meat Sauce. Very, very tender Pot Roast cuts that were 4" x 1" in size... served atop their Spaghetti with a Marinara Meat Sauce.... Big Mistake! The Hamburger in the Meat Sauce did NOT go well with the Pot Roast... NOT AT ALL! Recommendation to Frasinetti's... just use a plain Marinara in this Entree. Beef is Beef... but you have slow-cooked Pot Roast that just tastes very odd with... Hamburger. And despite the fact that the Meat Marinara was overly Sweet, I did like some parts of the Marinara Sauce - large slices of Tomato, Onion and Mushrooms... if it weren't for the Hamburger... Iced Tea (**** $2.50) Innumerable Refills... tasted pretty good... or was the long Bike Ride and the need for hydration influencing me. LemonCello Digestif (**** 1/2 $6.00) Served very chilled... as it should have been! Very reasonable pricing on Drinks. Lemoncello is now my standard after-dinner Drink when doing Italian... maybe I should just go to BevMo and buy a bottle... Ambiance (****) Who wouldn't like the ambiance at Frasinetti's? This area of Sacramento probably was considered Rural decades ago, now Frasinetti's (including the Vineyard) is surrounded by the burbs with commuter traffic on Florin Road zooming hither and fro at quite a distance from the dining establishment. Atmosphere is historical, dark, cool, but not dank... and even, I daresay, Romantic? Crimson table-cloth tables, Redwood Wine Vats, and there are black & white pictures of generations past of family delivering Wine in horse-drawn carriages... Wow! The Redwood Wine Vats loom over you while you eat. 60s Jazz is piped in during your dining experience... too loud, though. Turn the volume down... especially with the Concrete Floors and hard surfaces that typify a storage facility... Frank, Dean or Al would be more appropriate at Frasinetti's as background music... For whatever reason, though... not many of the fairer sex at Lunch yesterday. Majority of patrons were male Businessmen and unsuited executive types or small business owners. The lower-ranked Wait-Person was pretty friendly... I told him that my favorite Italian was Palermo Ristorante in Elk Grove. At the end of my meal he asked me how I liked the entree... you can be frank. Well... just so-so... I recommended that he take himself and his wife to Palermo... In summary... Frasinetti's retains too many qualities from their catering of large events which is really a negative at a family fine-dining restaurant. Service is brusque and quick... not at all friendly or conversant... maybe not enough Wait-Staff? Just too many Event-type qualities from Wait-Staff at this restaurant. And preparation of the Entrees seems like cooking by rote... I really doubt that this menu has changed... for decades (or more).

I had heard about this restaurant and always wanted to try it out. Finally, my boyfriend took me here for my birthday which was on a Thurs. evening and it happened to be open on this day. It's not too far from my house, but I would have never suspected it's location. First, we drove through a secluded warehouse/business district, then made a turn into an old looking neighborhood with a very bumpy road. Watch out for one of them! I think it was a speed bump, but there were no markers or warnings! The road soon led us to the restaurant that appeared nestled, but I wasn't sure what it was nestled in to. I was expecting a vineyard, but I couldn't really see much past ivy walls, trees and a train track. Inside, it was dark, old style decor giving it that Italian wine cellar feel. The place wasn't very busy with diners, but was a bit loud with the employees talking and joking, probably concerning what was on the TV at the bar. We were escorted to a secluded booth with high backed benches or seats that reminded us of being in an old church. The waiter was very nice and attentive. I had decided on lasagna and my boyfriend chose the house special, pot roast. Our appetizer was the crab and artichoke dip with toasted bread. The dip was delicious! Before our meals arrived, we received the traditional bread and butter. This was OK, but a little disappointing that it wasn't served warm & freshly baked like one would expect from a fancy restaurant. Our dinners arrived piping hot and looking edible. We both compared notes on the food and felt the food was average but nothing outstanding. The lasagna wasn't any better then what you might get out of the frozen food department at the grocery store and my boyfriend said the pot roast was good, but found it unusual to see it served on a bed of spaghetti. We barely finished our meals, but alas, too full to try out any desserts! We noticed that they have murder mystery dinners there sometimes, (by reservation), and thought it might be interesting to partake in someday. There is a winery and gift shop next to the restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed. There is also a patio area near the entrance, but it was very plain, unkept, and empty. Not very romantic looking. All in all, this wasn't a bad place to dine at, but could really use an upgrade in design to maybe make it more memorable.

We tried the wine tasting for the first time. We have come for dinner but never tried the wine tasting room. All I have to say is love it!!!! We then walked over to dinner. We are never disappointed with dinner here. We had the calamari appetizer. Was sooooo good. We also saved the wine and had lemon drop martins. Again very good. Dinner was once again delicious. Husband had the salmon risotto and I had the chicken scallopini. Yummy yummy yummy. Was too full to finish my portion but my husband had the creme brulle He loved it. Overall this place is great. The wine is good and the food is great. This is our new "place".

Great place for drinks after work, which is specifically why I came here. Went here for some relaxation after work and boy, their drinks were strong!!! I ordered a henn&coke and two patron/sprites and I was lightly buzzin for a while. You taste more of the alcohol than the soda. The bartender didn't check on us but I knew he was attentive from the bar whenever we called him over. He remembered what we ordered too! I think they close early on the weekdays (around 7pm) cause we were the last ones there.

We have lived along Florin Road and I have seen this sign pointing to a winery right there in the busy street of Florin where the train tracks are. I have always been curious and wanted to see a winery that seems to be out of place, especially in a neighborhood that is not really, well, great. My wife and I finally went after 4 years of planning to and after moving to EG. I took her on her birthday and was first unsure about where it is. We drove along an unpaved "road" (if you even call that a road) and there were 5 semis and several other trucks with us. It is about a quarter or less from Florin Road. It looks like a huge warehouse, with a cute house nearby. We tried the wines first and the guy serving us was great,. There was somebody else there doing a wine tasting as well but he made sure he served and informed us of their great wine selections. We then tried the restaurant which was still closed when we came. Service was great, with smile and warmth. It was quick and food was good. They even gave us free dessert after they found out it was her bday. We will certainly go back. 4 stars only because....scary road coz of those huge trucks (there was a back street you can take, which we discovered on our way home), very small and confusing parking lot and the noise is a little too much, mostly coz of those trucks and well, its near a train track...I don't know if they can do anything about those since they do not own the trucks and train and the parking lot is a small. But they can improve on their signs and point out that back street where its actually safer....

I couldn't have imagined a better site for our wedding. This place BY FAR was the most reasonable in the way of cost. Even cheaper than the Arboretum in Davis, which... I dunno, seems kind of odd to me considering Davis doesn't provide its own caterer and/or alcohol; you have to battle it out with the wiccans for the Gazebo; and the reception site is similar to a classroom. You have it all at Frasinetti's: Food and drink; ceremony and reception site; and quite possibly the most good-natured, friendly and accomodating coordinator (Howard) that I have ever come across. You wouldn't think it on the drive out there, but it's a gorgeous little oasis tucked in a pretty industrial area. In fact, it's got a train track right next to the reception hall, but I'll be honest - I didn't once notice the train once it got close to ceremony time until I watched the video later. In the months leading up to the wedding, I spent a lot of time in the restaurant and wine tasting room and it was always a pleasant experience. Especially when Howard comes around to your table and spends some time with you, ensuring that you're having a great time, that you don't need anything, and regaling you with background stories that accompany each of the family pictures on the walls. My absolute favorite meal is the risotto encrusted salmon. My favorite wine - the Frasinetti Cab. Deee-lish! I told Howard that night and I'll repeat it here: Our wedding day was flawless and perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We owe a large part of that to Howard Frasinetti.

My daughter chose to have her wedding earlier this spring and the experience was absolutely terrific. The ambiance, complete with outdoor gazebo and all accouterments was a terrific complement to the weekend. Howard, who helped us with the experience, was with us every step of the way. We chose the buffet for our guests, which i would highly recommend. Frasinettii's typical menu is ok but tends to be on the pricey side. In addition, the parking is free and the on-site winery and facilities are centrally located for all guests.

Been going to this place off and on for the last 5 years or so. While their food is just okay (and that is considering that I am generally easily satisfied by Italian food), their customer service has always been excellent. A waiter once tipped over a glass of water on our table. After cleaning up the water, he made up for it with a complimentary bottle of chianti. Have to admit, I've visited on occasion just to taste the wine, browse the tasting room, and stock up on wine. While most of their wines are decent, surprisingly it is their chianti that stands out for me. The chianti has served me well in entertaining a wide range of guests. It is red enough for the wine snobs, but easy enough for the first time wine drinker. The ambiance, customer service, and the fact that this is an actual winery makes Frasinetti's truly a gem tucked away in our own back yard.

I had a fun experience here the wines are ok in my book. From white to red I found all to be a little bit on the sweet side for my taste. Tasting room gives the feeling of a warm woodsy cottage. I really enjoyed tasting the ports specially the one that's aged for 30 years in oak. Will need to Check the restaurant out the next time I'm in town

HORRIBLE customer service. It was a very uncomfortable and akward tasting experience. It was the 2nd place I tasted at that day and there was no one in the tasting room. I will not be back.

This place simply blew me away. I walked in expecting cheesy Italian had one of the best meals I've had in the last year. The garlic in the clams I'm still sweating today. I have a steak that was perfectly cooked and fabulously seasoned. But the best thing on the table was the vegetarian lasagna. The Tomato sauce was light and fresh. You could taste every vegetable and they worked together to form a fabulous dish that I would go back for every day. Our server was pleasant and seemed to really care about how dining experience as was the owner stop by to say hello.

I am updating a previous review due to the fact that we visited this restaurant yesterday & were impressed with the excellent service & great food! They also had great music by Fernando Rios who played a great variety of songs in the outdoor patio. My wife had the chicken scallopini & I had the scampi Milano with prawns. Both were so good we are anxious to go back & dine there again. Their wine is also excellent! We recommend going on Thursday after 6pm to hear the great music, have a glass of wine & enjoy the tasty food.

Wow! EXCELLENT clam chowder..so creamy and the clams were so tender..not chewy like I find in alot of restaurants. The service is awesome and the owners are the most down to earth people you could meet. Howard sat with us for a few minutes and gave us a brief history of the restaurant and how it began. The place is no where that you would imagine it to be but once you're there, you forget it's actual locale. The restaurant is rustic and comfortable, the entrees and dessert were awesome. Definitely going back to this little gem.

I really wanted this place to be good, but I'm very happy we used a Groupon to try it for the first time, saving $20. We really liked the cozy atmosphere and the fact that it's been there for so long. Sadly the wine was horrible and the food just so so. The tasting room is very nice, and a great gift shop, but most of the wines had a weird taste & smell, kind of like perfumy cough medicine. And then in the restaurant they only offered their own wines by the glass, otherwise you have to buy a bottle form the limited selection - which included no zins from nearby wine countries. Since we didn't want a whole bottle after doing the tastings, we got no wine with dinner. The prime rib special was so so, it was cooked the way we asked but lacked the crusty and flavorful edges we're used to, and just overall wasn't great. The seafood manicotti was also so so, sauce was blah and filling was so mixed that you really couldn't tell what was in there. The veggies that came with both entrees were actually the best part, cooked nice and crisp with lots of onion & garlic. I liked the calamari but my wife did not - it was made like tempura shrimp, fried in long strips in tempura batter. Not the typical way, but I liked it. Caeser salad was OK, but in a real Italian place it should have anchovies, or at least the option to get them, and be more garlicky. Service was friendly enough, especially the nice older man who seated us and later on checked in on us. Wait staff was attentive. The place is cool inside, looks like a nice cozy bar, but it was kind of weird that the big event being hosted in the next room wasn't shut off from us - we could see them and hear all of their DJ's music, and they were walking by our table in their "interesting" attire all night going to and from the restrooms.

My wife had a hankering for some linguine and marinara sauce last nite, the reviews were good for this place so we thout we would try it. The host was very friendly as I had read. I should have left when they brought the bread out, I had read in a previous reviews that it was cold, not only cold, it just wasn't very good bread. The waiter seemed distracted, not at all friendly. Wife and I split a ceaser salad, we both agreed have had better. We both went with the clams and linguine, on the menu it was served with garlic butter sauce, probably should have stuck with that, but really wanted marinara sauce, so we ordered it with marinara sauce. Since bread was so bad, we ordered garlic bread, it was just ok. When the linguine and clams arrived it looked like they just poured a little tomato juice in the the garlic and butter sauce. The clams did not taste fresh, I had the waiter bring me a side of meat sauce and fished out the linguine and ate it with that. Wife ate the clams and linguine and said it was ok, but would not order it again. We will probably never try this place again. If we did we would stick to the menu and hope we got another waiter, the other waiter in our area seemed like he was on top of things and friendly.

I didn't get to eat at the restaurant because it was closed when we arrived which was around 2pm I think. We were starving too. We ended up just wine tasting which was good. It was complimentary so that was unexpected... I liked looking around at all the cute stuff they had in their little store. I took cute pictures outside of the restaurant. Really cute - it was like a secret hidden spot near railroad tracks. I wish the restaurant was open, I'm sure I would've gave them an extra star or two. The lady that was pouring our wine was really nice. I think she had a cold though, she was coughing and sniffling and blowing her nose. Yeah, I know, kinda icky, but anyway she tried helping us find a good restaurant nearby that was OPEN. But maybe my friend and I will come back here and try the restaurant. They do not grow their own grapes by the way, they purchase them and then make it there. It's family owned and the place is really pretty!

This place is one of my favorites. I used to come here all the time when I was living and teaching in the area. It was mine and my teacher friends place to escape after long days of school! Although I don't live nearby anymore, anytime I am back in the area I come here and eat. The food is great, the atmosphere is homey, and I always leave with a smile. Do yourselves a favor and don't pass up on this gem of a place. You won't regret it!

  • Ed S.

This place all comes down to expectations, I suppose. I see some of the reviews talk about how they saw it as a wedding location, or a high quality dining/wine establishment. I suppose if I'd come there expecting all that, I'd be pretty disappointed too. Seeing as I was taken here by some construction friends for lunch, I don't think those were the in the top of their list of what Frasinetti's was about. It's a nice secluded spot in the middle of an industrial district. The atmosphere there is very nice, almost oasis like, and the place has enough history to it to give it a very homey kinda feel when you go in. That can be a bit of a backfire, since the booths were rather small for someone of my size, and the place itself has a dated feel to it. The winery is ok, not great. Let's be realistic, it's a winery smack in the middle of Sacramento. What are you hoping for? They have a good selection at the restaurant, and on the servers were able to give good recommendations as well. My food was very tasty. The service was a bit slow, but the waiter was attentive and got everything we wanted. Overall, i think it comes down to taste. There's not anything particularly wrong with the place, you'll either like it or you won't. If a homey little Italian restaurant/winery appeals to you, they give this place a try and you won't regret it. I plan on going back, it's a nice shift from the other quality Italian restaurants in Sac.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Frasinetti has been in Sacramento for over 100 years I believe - there's a small summary of the Fras family and their legacy here in Sac. The atmosphere is quaint - the restaurant was an old winery. The owner is regularly around and is amazing - a must try in town. The regular menu is pretty good - try the Salmon w/Risotto, or my all-time fav, their spaghetti and meatballs with extra tomato sauce. By far, the best I have ever had - yummy red wine and tomato sauce! My boyfriend, who is not very fond of pasta, loves this and constantly talks about getting an extra order to go. Free wine tasting also - they have their own wine that I love getting my neighbors for the holidays. Try this place - it's pretty fairly priced. I'd say expect to spend, on average, $15 per person. No waiting on the weekends - fast seating! I suggest: Shrimp and artichoke dip --- sooo goood! Fettucine with Clams Spaghetti and Meatballs Salmon with Risotto Can't go wrong with almost anything on the menu - Enjoy!

Went for a family birthday dinner in which they had booked a room. Very charming, romantic, rustic feel when pulling up off the very off-the beaten path drive. Parking was kind of awful and in the back, which meant a dark walk along the back of the building to the door. Nice gift shop/wine tasting room to wait in before your meal. Lots of wood paneling and old wine barrels as decoration. Seemed somewhat dead for 6pm on a Saturday night. I ordered a chicken with wine sauce and fettuccine, which was fabulous. Enough to definitely take home for lunch the next day. Would go back for a nice dinner with my boyfriend.

This place bills itself as a wedding venue, but they need to upgrade the facilities to make themselves compete in the marketplace. First off, its nearly impossible to complete a wedding ceremony without a passing train rumbling down the adjacent tracks. Even the indoor reception area can feel the vibrations of the Amtrak San Joaquin and the occasional freight trains passing through. Trains aside, the overall service and food quality is adequate and reasonable. The largest area for receptions has a funny shape and is cramped for anything over 80 persons. For a medium sized corporate event of 60-80 persons, I'd say this is a good place for an evening banquet and dance. Its going to be on a par with the Holiday Inn, foodwise.

The wife and I have visited the winery about a week earlier and liked the location and enjoyed some of the wines. We were intrigued about the restaurant and looked forward to a Friday night out. Unfortunately, everything about the establishment was lovely except the food. We ordered the Calamari appetizer and were presented with something that resembled a chopped seafood "torpedo" fried in beer batter. Aside from the unsual presentation, there was no flavor, no spice. This despite asking for extra crispy, extra garlic. We both ordered the Chicken Scaloppini as our entrees. However, despite the Merlot and butter sauce, there was again little flavor. On the positive side, the staff was prompt and courteous, the setting secluded and romantic. But the blandness of the food put a damper on the entire evening. Their champagnes and chianti are both tasty as well.

This place is like a slice of what So Sac used to be, in all her glory. I only had drinks and apps, but liked what I saw. A cozy, sleepy little joint off the beaten path. Romantic, old-style italian atmosphere.

I was expecting to see a field of grapes but didn't see any. Parking was packed in the front but there are plenty of parking spaces in the back and side which was dirt and gravel. When we entered the restaurant, we entered through the bar door and pondered where front desk was located. The bartenders just looked at us and didn't say anything. We saw a desk with a calendar and computer located on the right side of the bar so we walked towards there. No one was there so we waited for a minute. Waiters walked by but didn't say anything. Finally, a friendly gray-haired man came up helped us. I think he was the front desk host. He asked us if we wanted a table or booth. We told him that this was our first time and asked him to choose and he choose a booth. We went to the booths located behind the bar. The booths were so close together that we could reach out and touch the people next to us...so that means two people walking through would have to turn sideways to get through. But I gotta say the booths were separated with a wall so there was some intimacy from the booths behind and in front of us. We ordered calamari and it came out looking like a hotdog (about 6 hotdog calamari strips). The calamari was cut into a tiny squared strip and the batter was hotdog batter which engulfed the small calamari strip. As for the main dish, we ordered the pasta dishes because we expected this place to be authentic. The dish was alright compared to Buca. We had the Scampi milano with spinach fettuccine which tasted alright but was watery and Sicilian chicken with sausage and mushroom in Alfredo sauce. That tasted alright too. Then, we had dessert which was the highlight of our night. We had the special which was a chocolate cake. Overall, the restaurant looks outdated and needs a total make-over. It's very dim inside. Because of the location, there were a few bugs flying here and there (thank goodness it wasn't mosquitoes). The women's restroom has two stalls and was dingy yet clean. It looks like an old rest-stop restroom. We for sure won't be going back.

Very good food. Great atmosphere. Good service. Not a five because they took the brandy steak off the menu when they changed chefs several years ago. Tasty local wine.

Frasinetti's is a charming hidden winery. Wine-tasting is free so you can't go wrong there. The restaurant is a little rustic feeling and is located inside an old wine cellar which I think is pretty cool. The food is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. I had the Chicken Ravioli which was extremely good. My lunch partner had the Sundried Tomato Pasta which I sampled and it was very good as well.

Had a bridal shower luncheon for my niece there yesterday. Booked with Howard a couple of months back and earlier this week, made the final requests for 28 meals, and non alcoholic beverage service. For the banquet you are allowed 3 different meal choices. We chose Chicken Frasinetti, Vegetarian Pasta, and Shrimp Louie. As requested, when my sisters and I arrived 1 hr early to decorate the tables, place favors, and placecards, the room was already set up perfectly. There is nothing worse than telling a restaurant you want to arrive 1 hr early to decorate the room for the occasion only to arrive and see the staff still rolling in the tables and chairs and having to frantically decorate while guests are arriving. But not the case here. The room was ready for us and we were able to get the room "party-ready" very quickly. The guests loved that they had free wine tastings in the adjacent tasting room, both before and after the shower and had time to browse the gift shop. Special shout out to Howard, Deborah (from the tasting room), chef crew for the wonderful food, and our super waiter Zach, who not only had to keep 28 ladies happy with service, food, and drinks, he was able to do it all including dodging the large pink tissue paper pom-poms and fake engagement rings that were dangling from the ceiling! Thanks Frasinetti for the perfect day!

I was excited to try this place. It looked intriguing tucked away on a hidden little road between Gerber and Florin. Driving up to it only built up more excitement. It's kind of spread out and they are in the process of doing some renovations so we were a little thrown off but nothing big. As we were being seated I heard some elderly folk trying to get attention from their waiter. One lady who was quite vocal and sounded like Edith Bunker was a little ticked that they hadn't received their wine yet. Not a very good sign! The restaurant area is fairly large. They have a big banquet room and a cozy section with a fire place over by their bar. We sat in a comfy little booth and were immediately at home. The menu isn't too big which made my decision quite easy. I ordered the meat lasagna and the boyfriend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meal just comes by itself and a nice loaf of bread and butter. Not bad but for $14 not that great either. My lasagna came out quickly with some slightly over cooked veggies and tasted alright. The sauce was good but it didn't excite me in any way. The boyfriend's meatballs were flavorful. His dinner was good too ;-) We didn't go to the tasting room but will definitely be back for that as it looked interesting. I'd be willing to go back for lunch and wine tasting but I don't think I'll be rushing back for dinner any time soon. The restaurant was cozy but the service and food were just OK.

Absolutely wonderful find for our outdoor wedding along with a great indoor room for the reception. Howard, the owner, manager, party planner was so full of ideas to keep the cost reasonable and suited to our taste, yet suggestions to have our guests feel warm and welcome. Servers were always available to be sure we were all comfortable. The food is excellent!! absolutely excellent!! I can't say what was the best on the buffet menu...it was all so awesome. We chose the buffet since we enjoyed too many of the foods on the menu, that we wanted our guests to taste more than one main dish. For my guest that is on a very strict diet, it was no problem to have a plate made for her. They actually had a plate for her to take home!! There's a complimentary wine tasting room that was a great place for our guests to mingle while we had pictures taken. Just prior to the ceremony, Howard saw me wandering, a bit frazzled, and very gently gave me a "pep talk" and a glass of wine. What a wonderful gesture that was! I can go on and on. A quick note for the daily servers...they make us feel at home for lunch, and dinner as well as for the "special event".

This is the quintessential Old Sacramento County- a winery in Florin established in 1897 (still run by the same family). It's wedged in between a bunch of industrial buildings and the railroad. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the wines, because it was a work lunch, but I've been told the sweeter dessert wines are better. The lunch menu was all over the place: Italian, sandwiches, salads, but the crab and artichoke sandwich was delicious. All of the other food I saw looked tasty as well.

A great place to have lunch or dinner. The service is fantastic and the environment is like no where else. My wife and I share the "Grandma's Pot Roast". I usually grab a Shock Top beer on tap with an orange slice. Really enjoy this place. It has created memories great memories for my wife and I.

If anyone is rating this place at less than 5 stars then they have NOT had the Salmon Risotto, We've been coming here for YEARS and that dish is SO awesome, we can never get ourselves to try something different. My Mom did once and spent the whole dinner looking "Longingly" at our plate of Salmon Risotto!! We were there last night, brought a bottle of Kendal Jackson Chardonnay and everyone treated us like GOLD!!

This is one of my favorite local places to visit! This hidden gem is tucked away from the busy streets near Florin Road and can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. It's a quaint family-owned restaurant and winery. THE RESTAURANT The restaurant has been around since the late 1800s and exhibits an old-world charm. The lighting is very dim and soft, creating a tranquil and romantic ambiance. Although they don't seem to alter their menu much, all the foods I have tried there are extremely yummy! My favorites here include the creamy steamed clams, the salmon risotto (yum!), linguine and clams, and the pot roast. THE WINERY They offer free wine tasting! I always stop by the tasting room before heading into the restaurant for dinner. I especially like their Chianti and Chenin Blanc! I have never failed to buy at least a bottle of wine every time I stop by here Very reasonable prices! This place is definitely a local gem in Sacramento!

It's funny that my reviews of this place seem to keep "disappearing" and so do the reviews of my friends. 'Tis odd for sure. This review is on their wedding services as well as their food. I'll keep it simple since there's a chance it'll just disappear again. The venue completely messed up the food for my wedding day. The error was not with any of the staff nor with my husband and I (whom the owner Howard insisted on blaming). We had altered the food menu and tasted our updated menu---we finalized our menu in person and over the phone multiple times in order to make sure it would be right. And despite our efforts, it was very wrong. We needed to have a mushroom free menu because a close family member is severely allergic to mushrooms. Let's just say our food was full of mushrooms and hidden ones too. In the end, the owner insisted we were to blame and refused to take responsibility. He said essentially that the food was eaten and that was that. Of course we had to eat the food. 80 plus people aren't going to starve themselves and wait for a selection that wasn't coming. We tried coming back later with family for just a couple of dinner but the food was overpriced and not good. The service also wasn't great. I will say though that in our wedding day one of the staff members was awesome. I believe his name was Danny. In the end, yes our wedding was lovely, but the day is still haunted by their BIG mistake and the way they handled it afterward.

An amazing time!! Went to an uncles retirement party and pulling in was surprised this place was even here. What a cozy place!! What wonderful staff James (jamie) being my personal favorite. The food was so very good and nicely displayed. Thank you guys for making our family party great.

Let me start off by saying that I was really pleasantly surprised by this place!! I had always seen the old abandoned sign but never thought of going in, thought it wouldn't be worth it... However we came here for an anniversary, and it was really nice! You totally forget that you're in South Sac! We had dinner reservations for a Saturday night at 6, and there was a wedding going on, which I felt helped vamp up the atmosphere. The service was not lacking even though there was a wedding. The restaurant is dark, and has an antique look to it, giving it character and credibility as original. They have a huge barrel inside the building all the way up to the roof which is impressive. Started with a Greygoose neat with the Calamari apps, which are the best I've ever had! For a winery, their selection of wine isn't very big, but it's not bad. We had a 2009 Rodney Strong Cab which was smooth and very delicious! As for the meal, I will admit it was just ok. Since we were at an Italian place I went for a pasta, so my wife and I had the Pasta Diablo. The Filet Mignon was too chewy for me, the sauce was a bit too sweet and the mushrooms clouded the rest of the color and flavor of the sauce. I would recommend the 12 oz NY Steak. It's about $5 more but totally worth it. Had the tiramisu for dessert and the waiter brought one on the house. Very nice touch. I would definitely come back!

Oh wow, please PLEASE do NOT waste your money on a wedding at this place. The pictures are deceiving, as this was NOT anything like my experience at my brother's wedding. It was a beautiful day in May, but they would not let them use the nicest area for the wedding because they claimed 'we don't have time to paint and clean it yet.' However, even unprepared it was much nicer than the tiny spot they gave them next to the parking lot. Yes, that's what I said, 'next to the parking lot'. The bar nearby were we seeked refuge from the heat was dark and dreary and musty smelling. Now lets talk about the reception. The room was very small for 50 people and had horrible acoustics for the 'DJ'. The 'buffet' was lame with very few selections and the buffet staging area was tiny and poorly lit. It was difficult for people to get to and from the area and very hard to see the food because it was so dimly lit. Also, the reception area was right next to the train tracks and I literally counted 7 trains that went by at high speed just a few yards from the window just within the 3 hours that we were there. Seriously, this was FAR from beautiful and comfortable, and definitely not high class. I can't believe they paid $700 for the area and then $1,400 for the average tasting, poor variety buffet selection. Frasinetti's should be ashamed of themselves, especially since the refused to let my brother and his fiance use the bigger, more beautiful area that was allegedly 'not ready' for a wedding. The disallowed area was so much better than the area they were given (next to the parking lot), that the photographer opted to use that very area for photographs instead the the area they were given for the wedding ceremony.

Came here over the weekend for some wine tasting followed by dinner at their restaurant. The wine tasting experience here was awesome. The lady was super sweet and attentive. She suggested wines for us to taste based on what she knew about our preferences. My fave was the Cabernet, although she did mention that the Burgundy and Chianti were their most popular reds. The tasting room was super cute as well. However, the food at the restaurant was a major disappointment. We ordered the warm brie, crab & artichoke dip and the clam linguine with a side of chicken breasts. The dip barely had any crab in it and I'm pretty sure it was imitation crab as well. The clam linguine was way too salty and most of the clams were empty. The warm brie was pretty good, but I guess you can't really mess up warming up brie. The servers were super nice as well. I had seen on their online menu that they offered $10/carafe during the lunch and had asked him if they offered it for dinner as well. I guess they don't offer that special for dinner but he was kind enough to extend that offer to us for our dinner. Now that is great customer service :) My overall experience was great! And the staff here is super sweet and nice. I just wish the restaurant served better food.

Worst meal EVER. I was initially excited that my company Christmas dinner was going to be at Frasinetti's. I have been to the establishment in the past (Summer) to look at a wedding venue and thought to myself, "how quaint". It has been around several years, so I figured they must be doing something right. Was I ever wrong. When we first arrived, everyone was shuffled into the "Wine Tasting Room." That is another building with a bunch of nick-nack, dusty, CRAP they are trying to sell you, all while pouring samples of their even crappier wine. I tossed my Chardonnay out on the way back to the restaurant. And trust me.... I am not a wine snob, but this was some hooch. Dinner finally comes for a party of 25.... in odd segments. Yes, the bread was cold and the butter even colder. Ok, I am not the worlds best cook, but even I know that you don't put Thompson grapes and Calamata Olives in a wine sauce with a barely HALF of a pounded out chicken breast and charge $30 a head. I didn't order that, but I tried my table mates dish. My husband got the lasagna. It was a child's portion at best. He and the rest of the men at the table mostly ate bread. I got the "Seafood Manicotti." Ahhhh how I love seafood AND manicotti. How could I go wrong? ERRRRR!!!! Try dated salmon manicotti. There was no shrimp, no crab, no fish other than salmon. And I like salmon! I ate 1/3 of the 2 and left the rest. It was disgusting. The whole meal was horrible. I am extremely disappointed in the menu offerings for $30 a head and the quality was even worse. Even $20 a head would have been a slap in the face for this abomination. Oh, and when I pointed out to the staff that there was a MAJOR water leak in a portion of the ceiling over another section of the restaurant pouring on the hardwood floors and causing a flood and slip hazard, the waitresses response was a dumbfound, "huh....oh...ok! We know" I'm not sure if the current owners are aware, or even CARE, but judging by the looks of the black and white 50's pictures of the proud original owner, meez thinks that the generations present, aren't "present."

I came here couple months ago. Wine tasting was fun. The lady that helped us with the tasting was very nice. We had 7 pm reservations which we clearly didn't need because it was completely empty. Our waiter took our drink orders. Came back 20 minutes later for our food order. We actually had to walk to the bar area to get him. He was standing there chit chatting with the bartender. Food was not good at all. I was extremely disappointed. Again waiter did not come check on us at all. As excited as I was to try this place I will never be back for a second chance. I would like to think it was bad because we came on a weeknight. Maybe it's better in weekends but who knows.

Been here two times, once for a company Xmas party and the second time just with my bf. Company holiday party was fun. A great place/ venue for a party. Our party served up a buffet style food of beef, chicken, salads, pastas, desserts and etc. I remember it as being good food and a fun time. And then the time with my bf was slightly different. We had a pasta dish, raviloli, and salmon. The food was decent but not as good as i had the first time. I had a spider run across my table at the booth! The place itself is kind of dark so I became paranoid of what's hanging around under the table. They also have a winery in which they give free tasting and a store filled with cute quirky things. Plenty of parking. Only problem is their easy to miss location.

We have not been there since Valentine's Day, but we were able to secure a reservation for Mother's Day brunch. We arrived, only to do a free wine tasting with a lady that definitely was made for that job, then we walked over to the restaurant, and were greeted by the owner himself. We had to wait about 2 minutes for our table, we were seated, and then off to a magnificent brunch, full of everything you could possibly imagine, and MORE...There was a lot of staff running around serving drinks and what not, but the chef himself was at the carving station cutting and serving the meat. How classy and impressive. Sure wish you served brunch more often, but we will be back next year! Thanks

AWESOME! My son and his bride had their wedding at Frasinetti's this past Sunday. The winery was absolutely beautiful. The ambiance so amazing we used minimal decorations. Howard Frasinetti and family have a hidden gem! The staff was outstanding, the food was outstanding , set up and clean up barely needed!! We didn't have to added a thing to the area where the wedding was held, it was perfect! I highly recommend Frasinetti's whether it's a date night or an event! I can't remember everyone's names but the manager Danny was incredible, Cory awesome and the bar tender... well great! We really enjoyed their wine especially the Chianti. Well done!!! With tremendous gratitude, Peg Bunting, Charlie and Christina Pfost

Had so much fun here the other night! I had never heard of this place before and it was recommended to us for our next company meeting, since we try and change it up, we decided to go ahead and try it out. Let me just say am I glad we did come here! The wine tasting room was filled with cute antique decor and tons of bottles of wine and trinkets. The wine and food was delicious (I have never had such tender pork in my life!!) and the prices weren't bad, the room they put us in was perfect, it was spacious and the staff was on it! I definitely need to come back for a girls night or even just my hubby ;-)

My boyfriend had chosen this place but he's not known for doing all the research. Right from the beginning, the alley way to the winery was a little weird. Walked in, and it seemed atmospheric enough until we were seated in the back banquet room area. We were a last minute reservation so it didn't seem like a big deal. But it just sounded cheap, with the hollow floors and confetti table decoration. The winery is situated right next to train tracks as well and we experienced two trains rumbling through, annoying obviously a couple other people in the room. They served bread pretty much right away, but it was obviously store bought bread. It was cold and hard and not that great. We had the $5 minestrone...I would say Sizzler's has better minestrone. The veggies weren't cooked enough and not enough pasta in the soup. I tried to order the Chicken Wellington but I have an aversion to cheese and when I asked if it could be prepared without it, right off the bat they say no. Then I ordered the stuffed salmon, cheese was not mentioned anywhere on the menu. After ten minutes, waiter came back saying that stuffing actually has cheese... So I ordered the prime rib instead. I uploaded a picture of the prime rib they gave me. It looked like a pile of leftover meat. Green beans were undercooked. Boyfriend ordered the NY grilled steak (rare) with prawns. Prawns were cold. And steak still raw and cold. We decided to leave and only pay for the soup and wine. Waiter came back saying "sorry, manager won't budge" and showed us the entire bill for inedible food. We said "no, this food is unacceptable for this price, especially inedible with the raw meat" and then the waiter came back saying the whole meal was comped. Just the fact that the "manager wouldn't budge" is a red flag. I feel sorry for the waiter, he was nice and tried to be as much accommodating as he could but the place seemed to be poorly ran. 10/10 will not come here again nor recommend to others.

The oldest and family owned winery in Sacramento. It's very rustic and peaceful with lots of places to sit outside. They have a wonderful place for weddings and the wine shop is fun to browse in. Their wine tasting is free of charge. This rating is more for the restaurant than the charming building, landscaping, and winery itself. The restaurant decor is equally rustic though it's erring toward the dated side. The meatball sandwich could not be picked up and eaten like a sandwich, which I think is important. The meatballs were a little over done and too large to bite through, thus another fork and knife necessity. It was a bit over sauced as well. The sandwich came with choice of fries, pasta salad, spaghetti, or cheese ravioli. The cheese ravioli was tasty, nice texture and good cheese, but again over sauced.

Wonderful atmosphere, with wonderful old-world charm. Feel very comfortable here, even though it has been decades since I had been here. It felt like I had just gone there with my Dad just yesterday. My Dad knew the owners years ago, and would visit them often with me (Of course he would do the tasting, and conversing, while I as a little boy, would go exploring:):))). My experience here was fabulous, although I wished the restaurant had been open when I was there, because I am dying to try the food. Tasted ALL the wines, and brought home the Burgundy, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and of course the Chianti,. Wonderful flavors that give STRONG competition to the more well known and popular wineries of Napa Valley!!! We have some of the BEST right here in Sacramento. Go out to Frasinetti's Winery......I guarantee you won't be disappointed. As a matter of fact, it will probably be a regular stop for all our Sacramento wine lovers from now on!!!

I came here when it was very slow. rustic and very historic building, I ordered the steak appetizer with fries. It only had 5 pieces and some of them were over cooked. Then after ordered the Diablo pasta...... waited for over and hour for my food when I was the only customer in the whole restaurant. So I asked the waiter if they were short staffed and he said no, just one busboy , bar tender and himself, he obviously missed the point of my question. I would have expected better service since I was the only guy at the restaurant. This place really was disappointing.

I have friends who eat here often but I've avoided it because of the strange location. Last night my wife and I were going out and she said Frasinettis which she's been to before. Great suggestion! I ordered the Sicilian pasta and clam chowder and loved them! This place is old school but a for regular spot for me. I can't wait to bring some friends here! Do yourself a favor and try this place. It isnt your Spaghetti Factory!

Husband and I finally got to the restaurant after several trips to the wine tasting room. What a pleasant experience. After first walking in, we were greeted by Rachelle who was kind enough to give us a tour of the restaurant. Cory, our waiter was sharp and attentive and the food was crazy good. Frasinetti's is now on top of our favorite's list.

We just had our wedding there in September and Howard and his crew of professionals made our wedding a night to remember. Call it many years in the restaurant business or just Italian hospitality, but they make you feel like family there. Every detail had been handled just the way we planned, and our wedding went off without any problems. The tables were set up just to our specifications with beautiful white linen. The buffet was delicious with a wide variety of food to chose from---even vegetarian options to carving stations. We had an entire bar and room to ourselves. Every time we turned around, our personal staff was filling our glasses or asking us if we needed anything. Thank you, Frasinetti for our lovely wedding memory.

This place is old! But, it's historic. This winery was established in 1897 and is the oldest family-owned Sacramento winery. Told you it's old! Be prepared to travel through South Sac to get there. I was certain we were lost as we were driving through a rough looking area, and then a dirt road that seemed to lead to nowhere. Finally, we stumbled upon the Frasinetti Winery. Talk about a diamond in the rough! Ida H. got it right in her review: warning, be prepared for a bumpy ride! I'm thankful for seatbelts after that trek out there. I don't know what we hit that caused the car to get "air," but all I know is that it wasn't an animal and thus I was okay with the situation. I think this place was The Winery to be at back in its heyday. But, now it's a little stale. The wine is average, with the Rosé being the best of them in my opinion. The funny thing is that I had tasted the wine the night before at an event and finally made the connection when I found myself at the winery (didn't really pay attention to what I was drinking the night before because I was just happy to have a glass of wine in my hand). And, even more funny is that we didn't even get to do a tasting because there was a wedding and the staff couldn't handle the 2 of us in addition to the wedding crowd. So, we politely excused ourselves and headed straight to 58 Degrees to satiate our inner wino! They also have a restaurant on the premise that I didn't get to experience, so maybe another time. I'll make sure to wear better shoes next time. For some reason high heels and dirt don't mix! Overall, it's a historic Sac place that's worth checking out, but don't get your hopes up too much. Maybe a facelift is in order. I mean it's over 100 years old at this point, and things are looking a little saggy!

The whole staff at Fransinettis winery and Restaurant were over the top in helping me with a function for 30 people this last week... Debbie at the bar in the wine tasting room was very helpful, fun and entertaining to all of my guest.. Howard kept all the details inline to make everything smooth when we arrived and Zack the waiter/server/eveything else we needed was there to make the whole event even more enjoyable.. Always ready with drinks, meals and deserts in a timely matter and with a welcoming attitude. This event was a ten!!! and so is Frasinettis!!!

This review is for May 10, 2013: My experience was phenomenal!!!! What a great location. Free wine tasting next door. Took some clients lunch. First time for all three of us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Started with a delicious bowl of minestrone with some freshly grated parmesan cheese on top. Finished with an absolutely perfectly cook Pasta Primavera. One person had the Chop Chop Salad. Ask them to special mix it for you in the kitchen prior to serving it. Complimentary bread and butter throughout. Did I mention the great fresh brewed iced tea? The desserts looked amazing. No room today. Will try to save room another day. Take a moment to look at the pics. Enjoy the wine. You have to drive down a long driveway to get there. Follow the sign off of the main street. You don't see the winery from the main street. Closed Monday's....

I love the ambiance here. There is a wine-tasting room/gift shop. A restaurant with indoor/outdoor dining and an old-school bar covered with dollar bills inside. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was not the best or worst I've ever had. The fact that it came soo quick after I ordered it caused a slight concern for me. (Made me wonder how long it had been made..put its was lunchtime... so hey, maybe someone prepped it?). My coworkers ordered salad and steak. Both really enjoyed their meals;I will be back..I wanna try the pot roast next.

Just went here for a work event...didn't expect much as I was driving by and seeing the large corny sign outside. As you pull in though, the place is exquisite...a beautiful place with so much history behind it. We were offered a wine tour, wine tasting, and dinner. I opted out of the tasting and tour to converse with the guests. From what I've heard around the tables, the wine wasn't too much of their liking. Can't base my review on that though because I didn't have any. My review is mostly based on the food. I ordered the pork delmonico...basically studded pork served with mashed potatoes and squash. The pork was extremely salty and dry. I couldn't polish it off...the skin on mashed potatoes were yummy...the squash had so much pepper that I almost sneezed. The starter salad was extremely lacking...although I have to say that the service was wonderful. 3 stars for not so great food but fantastic service and beauty surrounding the winery.

When it comes to celebrating 50 years of marriage one would think the celebration would be one of happiness, unfortunately that was not the case when we decided to make reservations at Frasinetti's winery and restaurant. It began with a party of five directed to a small booth that appeared to be meant for two people instead of five. We were told "Don't worry we will put a chair at the end of the table" the chair would be blocking the aisle. It was not only disrespectful but also shocking to see their unprofessionalism in handling the situation. After waiting several minutes and making our parents stand in the entryway of the restaurant, we were taken to a back room where we were disturbed by drunken wedding party that was entirely in a different area of the restaurant going in and out and pounding on doors and windows to re-enter. Our son (13 yr old) had to stop in the middle of dinner to open the door and allow the drunks inside, no employee or manager was in sight. My wife and I were so embarrassed as we were trying to make this special occasion memorable for our parents, however the only thing that sticks in our memory is from the time we walked through the door and throughout the dinner we were treated as if we were invisible and less important than the wedding party, keep in mind reservations were made two weeks in advance. Management only comment was " we have a wedding today" regardless of whatever event, it is important to treat each customer as if they are the only ones in that restaurant, so we thought. When we received our bill, we asked to speak to a manager, we were directed to a young man who treated the situation as if it was an annoyance and referred us to the Owners brother. When my wife shared her great disappointment and embarrassment regarding the lack of tact, attention to customer service and individual needs such as ...making sure we were ok, to the owners brother, all he could say was he was sorry and offered a bottle of wine in amend to the situation, however by that time the damage was already done in the sense that the excitement of being there and celebrating this special occasion was dampened by the horrible treatment received. We felt like we were pushed to a corner of a back room, where chairs and tables were stored and what appeared to be a back bathroom where people were constantly coming and going. Over all, I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was very clear that not every customer is valued and treated with a touch of humanity or respect. No one acknowledged 50years of marriage

At first, I didn't know it I should go here because it was kind of in the middle of no where. Main courses was ok but some of the appetizer was good. What the need to work on is better out going waiters. Some of them felt like they didn't want to work, just going through the motion. Other then that, I might comeback.

This place is very near to us so my husband and I decided to check it out on our date night. Just wow! We called on a Saturday around lunchtime, and were able to get a 6pm reservation for that night. We arrived early to do some wine tasting since we read that it was free, let me tell you they have some good wines! And don't skip the sherry, we bought a bottle of it because it tastes like chocolate, yum! Just as a side note, it's cheaper to buy a bottle in here then to get the same bottle at the restaurant. I recommend doing the tasting like we did, before dinner. Don't have any with dinner, and then buy what you like afterwards. Cheaper that way! The place itself gave off a very italian feel from the outside, sooo cute! And when you go into the restaurant it's very cool! The dining room is situated in an old winery so that you can see all the massive old wine barrels. One holds up to 15k gallons of wine! Dinner was delicious, the only issue was with my clam linguini. I've never had clams before, so maybe this is just how clams are, but I had to be very careful while eating because the outside of the clams was flaking off, and it was very hard, I was afraid I was going to break a tooth! So I had to eat the meal as if I was watching for fish bones, very gently. My husband had the chicken ravioli and really liked it. We got the baileys chocolate mousse to go. Apparently they serve these in wine glasses, so we got two free wine glasses with the purchase, lol! But we missed out on the whipped cream and chocolate flakes that they were supposed to put on it. Oh well, not a huge deal, they were still delicious. Service was good, we didn't have any issues that I can think of. The waiter misheard my appetizer order and brought out the wrong thing, but when I told him he quickly apologized and returned it and brought out the correct appetizer. No issue there. That fried calamari did look good though!

I am absolutely pleased as punch that Sacramento would sport a winery that is also such a unique and charming venue space. Yes, folks, Frasinetti's is a bit in the boons, but once inside, one steps foot into another world. The transformation is well done; dinner here, together with wine, was not bad at all....it's a tad above quotidian Italian, with nothing terribly remarkable to laud, but the restaurant space inside, as well as the grounds outside, make this place 3-star worthy! Lovely ambience.

I had been here a few years ago and I had remembered the food being very good. I don't know what happened the last time I went here because it was absolutely dreadful. I made a reservation for valentine's day. They had a very limited menu since they were going to be very busy. We ordered the fried calamari, pasta with lobster and ravioli. We should've left when we heard the couple next to us complaining of undercooked pasta and chicken. It was an omen! I wish we had just upped and left. It took an extremely long time to get our food and when we did our entrees were disgusting. I couldn't take more than two bites of either dishes. I was very disappointed considering it was valentine's day. I understand that they were busy, but that's not an excuse to make horrible tasting food. No one ever filled our glasses of water and when we were ready to go, there was no one to be found. Finally after we were finally able to flag someone down to try to get our check we were still left waiting an additional 15 minutes before walking out and trying to find a manager or someone who could help us. It was just a horrible experience overall. I don't know if I will want to give this place another try, because this was good in my previous experience.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
