Always hits the spot! Their wonton soup is the best I've had in a while, especially for two LARGE bowls (the large portion) for $6.50?! Can't beat that.

Best part was the price and value. Quality was not good though. Soup was very sour, mapo tofu pork was all fat. Tea and egg roll were good.

What the hell? I've ordered dinner for delivery to my boat in Marina Bay on at least five occasions. Tonight, I get someone that tells me that a) they don't deliver here, and b) I have to spend a minimum of $25 for delivery. Where is that rule stated and when the hell did you make it? It's a first for me and it's the topper for a really damn irritating day. Thanks an f-ing lot.

One of the better restaurants of point richmond. The food is decent, but it has the fastest service. They use too much plastic, and hit the rice pretty hard.

You can say that the food is just pretty good, but in reality you get some really good stuff for the price, especially if you are knowledgeable about the kind of things you like. Their ginger-onion lamb was very good. I've never seen that on a Chinese menu before, either. Little China is also great for lunch. Carry cash as the minimum charge is $10 and they're practically giving their lunch combos away. And plenty to choose from. If you don't like fried food, there are some things that are sautéed, like the green bean dish. They seem to really keep up with times at an old-fashioned price.

This is just the kind of hole-in-the-wall , less-than-sparkling place I love to enjoy Chinese food at. And the food is quite good, very low oil comparatively, and their Black Pepper Beef is perhaps the best House Special Chinese dish I have had anywhere. ts my hometown Chinese place, so I defer to it as my default. However their issue is the service. They have a terrible system for taking orders, table service, and cant seem to manage their take out/dine in businesses. If you want to eat there, don't be in a hurry. If you take out, don't be in a hurry either, that 30 minute estimate was actually 90 minutes last time. For Delivery, you're rolling the dice. BUT you can always bet n the Black Pepper Beef!

I love this place! It's a great price for quick and good food!

I will never come here again! The first time I came I thought it was just me and my imagination of being discriminated against but yesterday confirmed it! First and foremost I am a young black woman I walked into the establishment and was next in line behind an older white woman who's order was just being completed when an older white guy came in walked right pass me to the counter and started ordering and the waitress proceeded to take his order as if I was invisible I put the menu on the counter and walked out. I have never felt so angry/sad in my life I am a regular tax paying citizen like every other normal human being but people still find a way to be racist in 2015 sad only good thing about this place is there wonton soup everything else is mediocre including the service

I've been here at least 3 times with my girlfriend and we have been treated so well here every time that I have become a fiercely loyal customer! The food itself is excellent, vegetables are clean, cooked nicely with still a little crispness I don't put my chopsticks down for a second! YOUR STOMACH WILL FEEL SO GOOD AFTER EATING HERE! The meals are like Chinese comfort food. I wish they had more vegetarian dishes, but I still won't hesitate to give this place 5 stars, best Chinese food in town! (And by far better service).

My favorite Chinese restaurant. The chicken here is REAL chicken breast & not some unknown animal . If you are reading this please don't sit at the little table by the window. Lord knows I'll be upset if I drive in allllllll way from SF and my table is taken. Thanks in advance.

First time eating here. Small and quiet little place but food was really good, and I loved their fried banana dessert

I ordered take out from this restaurant and found the won ton soup to be exquisite The flavor was perfectly balanced and the broth was not salty. The mixture of won tons and vegetables made this the perfect dish for a cold winter night.

Loved this place since I was little. Everything from the quality to service to authenticity has always been on point.

Ate lunch here because of the reviews. The only thing good is the service. I ordered Kung Pao chicken, it was mostly vegetables including a lot of zucchini?

WORST food ever, OK maybe not ever but right up there. Do Not say you weren't warned. Take heed and eat somewhere else. the meat was all tempura covered in sauce. All the food tasted as if it were cooked in the same grease. I don't spend my time on yelp or any review places but felt compelled to write one this time.

I love this place - its the only chinese food I will eat these days as they don't use a lot of fat and they serve brown rice... The veggies are always cooked fresh - If you're a health nut like me... this is your place to go. Catering is great also - my team begs me for chinese whenever we have a staff meeting. They deliver and set up for you. Super nice staff. The green beans and almond chicken are my favorite. The spring rolls are great too.

Always fantastic! There are three chinese restaurants in this little town and we only frequent this one! Order your sesame chicken with the sauce on the side!

I'm very picky about Chinese food and this place is great! The meat is better than anywhere else I've tried, prices are cheap too for the quality/portions. They've always had my food ready on time for pick-up, and the lady up front is very humble.

I live in Pt Richmond and am grateful we have a great little local Chinese restaurant. Food is always fresh and good. Decor is modest but that's fine with me. Service is fast except when they get swamped like on Chinese New Year. The price is right.

I come often to pick up takeout. Good Mapu Tofu. Good hot and sour soup. I don't like their lemon chicken. Theirs is battered in small bits. I'm used to having lemon chicken, panko crusted, flattened and filleted. I tried dining in once. It took too long, so I walked out an hr later, with no food. It was a busy night. I've been on nights when they are busy and other times when they are not. Says here they close at 9:30, but they probably close at 10:00 P.M., like other restaurants.

Only customer at the time for lunch but felt rushed a bit. Sat down and gave an order for sweet and sour chicken, and some egg rolls. Soon I was brought out hot and sour soup and one egg roll, so I decided to cancel the extra order of egg rolls. Would have been nice to know what was complimentary. Pros were fast service, extremely hot food, cheap, extra sweet sauce. Cons were no water refill, rushed atmosphere. Overall somewhere I would go back to in a pinch(which is all the time).

Excellent. Chicken is real breast. Great taste for general and Szechuan chicken. The noodle on the chow mien are nice and soft. Good value on the portions.

  • Michelle M.

My favorite Chinese food place ever! Everything is always flavorful, cooked well and the portions are huge! One order of sesame chicken can last three meals. The food always tastes fresh and you won't find chunks of bone, fat or questionable animal body parts in the food like some Chinese food places. I love the sesame chicken and crab wontons

  • Andy M.

This is the best place to get Chinese food in Richmond. It has a lot of old fashioned charm in the interior design :) Not only do you get FRESHLY MADE chinese food, they are fast, and have ridiculous specials. They totally undercharge for their quality of food. All in all, this is a great family run business that puts out consistently good food.

  • Kathleen C.

The service might be somewhat slow, but this lady is awesome. Once she gets going she is all over the place and everything and everyone gets what they need. The food was incredible and worth the wait. The pot stickers were bigger than most places- homemade maybe? Two meat dishes, rice and chow mein could literally feed 4 people happily. Little china prawns were tasty with a nice bite. All the food was fresh and brought out hot and steamy. To go orders were brought out within 15 mins of ordering, expect a little wait. They use woks not microwaves. We will be back.

  • Anthony T.

I ordered a regular order of Honey Walnut Prawns which is suppose to come with 12 prawns, but instead they gave me their lunch special of just 6 tiny, pinky sized prawns and 4 walnuts. They ended up charging me $6.80 which comes out to be a dollar per prawn. They are stingy and cheap. Don't come here! You'll leave hungry and broke.

I have been looking for my "go to" Chinese restaurant for a long time. I have now found it!. I had a great meal at Little China over the weekend and will definitely be going back. The service is great and the portions were huge in comparison to the low price. I had leftovers for 2+ meals. The one thing that I really found exceptional was that the shrimp were cleaned and deveined. At many Chinese restaurants I have gone to in the past this was not the case. Next time I am craving Chinese this is my spot!

  • Kate G.

Decent food, nice folks who own it. I like that they have brown rice.

I've had food delivered from Little China on several occasions and have always been really happy with everything that I've ordered. It's my fav when I'm having company and don't feel like cooking. My guests always love it as well!! My personal favorites are the broccoli chicken and the pot stickers :)

Reasonably priced lunch special, served lightning quick. Food quality was good, not great. Service was efficient. It is walking distance to my office, so I expect that I'll be back.

Fast, cheap, and delicious. What more do you want in a Chinese place? I go for lunch and have no hesitation to join in when someone in the office is going for lunch.

Standard typical Americanized Chinese sit down place. I only see forks on their table set up. You would have to ask for chopsticks. Good thing they still serve tea wo you asking! This is the only place you can get Chinese food in Point Richmond area so there is really no other alternative. I've only been here for lunch and ordered catering for work. Lunch specials are pretty cheap since it comes with a lot of food (only .50 cents to sub w fried rice or chow mien) and all order comes w a small salad (sliced cabbage w peanut dressing) and sweet and sour soup (far from what it's supposed to taste, but not bad). My favorite is their sweet and sour pork, though they should try to cut some of the fat out. Fortune cookies at the end, again typical Americanized Chinese restaurant.

  • Daniel N.

Never a big fan of this place, just grew up with better Chinese food in Oakland, but now I'm steamed. I understand why there's credit card limits, but not everyone is walking around with cash all the time. Waitress told me they have to charge me additional 50cents to make up for the $7.50 order for a side of pork fried rice. a side is who much, and you want to charge additional 50 cents? Do I get a fortune cookie at least for my additional 50 cents? WTH. Totally steamed in the wrong way! :OP

So I just called because I am starving after a looooonnngggg day at DMV & that lady had the unmitigated gall to tell me that the & I quote " we do not deliver to RICHMOND, we only deliver in POINT RICHMOND". -_______________- , you guys...I live in the narf. In Los Angeles, I lived in Hollywood and places in Glendale/Burbank/Downtown delivered me food. Uhm , no.

I was visiting from LA and checked Yelp for a Chinese restaurant in the area. Little China was a pleasant surprise! The food was fresh and yummy and the portions were just right: not too much and not too little. One woman was the only staff and she was always right on top of things. They serve you a few fried wontons when you sit down which was a nice touch. Its a little storefront in beautiful downtown Point Richmond. I recommend Little China!

I love this place - everything you'd expect from Chinese food but with much, much less oil. Did you know egg flower soup is the same thing as egg drop soup? I didn't. Don't get the large unless you want like a gallon of soup. Delicious crab puffs and super quick for take-out.

Convenient, cheap, yummy, Chinese take-out in Point Richmond! Not grocery shopping for a while meant not having any food in the house. Facing the desperation of home famine after work on a Monday evening, I called up Little China Restaurant. I ordered Shredded Pork Mu Shu, House Chow Mein, Honey Walnut Prawns & Brown Rice. The total came out to $26 & I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I'm not sure it even took me 15 minutes to get there, but it was ready to go when I walked in. Back at home, the girlfriend & I hungrily dove into our food. The Shredded Pork Mu Shu & Honey Walnut Prawns were delicious & the Brown Rice was good. The House Chow Mein was too much noodle for our tastes, but was OK. Gripped by hunger in a house with no food, Little China Restaurant provided much needed relief until we could get to a grocery store. Good Chinese take-out in Point Richmond is a good thing.

This is my go to Chinese place for lunch in the Point Richmond area. The food is good, the prices are low, and the service is great. I come here for lunch often. The roast duck is hit or miss: when it's fresh it's good, but sometimes it's not. The duck must be fresh and hot!

Love Little China! Most of the time I order some type of soup, either wor wanton or seafood. Both are very good, especially on a cold night. Service is very fast, about 10 min at the most. The lady who works there is super friendly and very accommodating to any special requests.

I really wanted to like this place. My first order with them left me feeling disappointed. The order taker was a nice sweet Chinese lady with glasses and a braided pony tail. I ordered the Wor Won Ton soup, Beef Chow Fun and Mongolian Beef. When I saw them cooking it while I was waiting at the counter for the food I thought to myself, "boy, that smells and looks delicious!" but when I opened it up at home and got a closer look I knew it wasn't going to taste great. The soup came in a very clear broth. It was fairly bland and it looked like they just boiled some water and let the vegi's flavor the soup. It didn't taste like a good won ton broth. Maybe it was missing the MSG? It came with 8 dumplings, which I thought was a fairly good amount and it came with bak choy, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, chicken, beef and a couple of shrimps. Luckily I had hot chili oil to kick it up a notch. Beef Chow Fun was okay. I definitely had it better some place else. It didn't look greasy at all and it tasted like it needed more flavor. Maybe it was missing the MSG again too? Mongolian Beef had too much onions. It was like a 80% onion to 20% beef ratio. I like onions, but it has to be cooked a certain way. I believe they used yellow onions, red onions and the white parts of green onions. When I usually order Mongolian Beef, I get yellow onions and the green parts of the green onions. The order was ready in 10mins, so that's a plus. 1 star for that and 2 stars for the food. I will definitely give them another try. Next time I'm going to order a fried rice dish and a chicken dish and I'll update my review. I really would like to find a good Chinese restaurant that is tasty and fits my budget and I was hoping this was it.

Just ordered some takeout there....it was TERRIBLE...I mean really really terrible. Worst Chinese food Ive had in awhile. My first clue should have been that the entire restaurant was empty. It doesnt happen often but Yelp, you have totally failed me :( I ordered string beans, sesame chicken, salt/pepper fish, and chow fun. How can you mess up string beans???? They were completely overcooked and almost seemed like they came from a can and then disguised with sauce...they were gross. The sesame chicken...geez...even the Panda Express orange chicken was better then this one. The salt/pepper fish was breaded, not battered....it looked and tasted just like the frozen fish fingers I used to eat as a kid...and the chow fun was just bland. The worst part is, they stuffed everything into those crappy chinese takeout boxes...hello? most places use the larger ones now. These boxes were like 3 X 3 inches in height and depth...very lame. The person who took our order was very nice but I will never order food from here again.

I never eaten in the restaurant, i always get their food to go. Consistently good and tasty. Good portions and reasonable prices. A small family restaurant, you can call them and pick up your dinner in about 20 minutes. They are nice and accommodating if you have special requests.

Straight out, we were looking for something quick and cheap. Leo B. says this place is good for lunch, so we got in here and sat right away. It's kinda like the divey dim sum places in SF, but the pluses were that the servers and cooks were chinese...in some places you never know. We got tea and then everyone ordered their own lunch plate. It was cheap too. I got the honey walnut prawns. After my last fiasco with Panda Express walnut prawns, I was pretty scared what I would be served. We got complimentary miso dressed slaw salads, an egg roll with sweet and sour sauce and hot and sour soup. Oo..that soup was tasty and not a lot of MSG too. I finally realized why the lunches are kinda cheap...my order came with just 6 prawns & walnuts, and a few chunks of broccoli and a bowl size shape of white rice. How come everyone else's dish had more food? Eh, the good thing was, the food was really good...I hate prawns drenched in mayo sauce and then greasy to boot. But these weren't. I wish there were more pieces for me to mix in with the rice, since there was so much of it. Service was brisk and if that darn itty-bitty fly that kept dive bombing in my face and hovering around my food wasn't around, I'd give the place a half more stars. Parking is 2 hours free around the area.

    (3)
  • Michael B.

Basically your typical "dive Chinese restaurant." The front door is kinda broken, the plants are half-dead, and the tables are a little wobbly. And overall, the decor is really plain. But that's what makes it fun, haha. However, the food is actually pretty good and very cheap. You can even get a soda for $1, or a beer (Sapporo) for only $2. Service is pretty quick. Go for the food, not the ambiance.

This place is clean, great service, great prices and great food. It is small but just perfect. Loved everything we have ever ordered. Great soups, potstickers etc. love that the chicken dishes are white meat, The specials on the board are always good too. Plus hot sake for 5 for a large..can't beat that.

Best Chinese food in Point Richmond!

  • Alex G.

I was in scenic Point Richmond recently looking for a lunch spot and found this place. It's low key and fairly no frills inside but it has affordable and good quality Chinese food. The lunch specials are particularly good, with your entrée with soup and a small salad totaling around $7. Plus they are usually very fast - I get my entrée about 5 minutes after I order. So far I've ordered the cashew nut chicken and the Szechuan chicken and both have been tasty. It isn't transcendent Chinese food but if you looking for a quick and satisfying place for lunch in the Point Richmond area I recommend Little China.

    (4)
  • Marlon T.

Yum! Good hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant. It's standard to give everyone a bowl of spicy soup and some salad, no matter what you order. I like the soup and the salad is tasty. The lunch specials are cheap and you can always get a table pretty quick. The waitresses were always attentive and helpful. I've had a few different dishes here and they were all pretty tasty. For a good, quick, warm, satisfying lunch, come here! Honey Walnut Prawns. =D

  • P S.

The first time I went to Little China was probably over a decade ago. I ordered their Honey Walnut Prawns. I think I must have eaten 12 of the 13 prawns in the dish. It was fantastic!! Lately, I've been ordering their Hunan Salmon which my friend got me into. I add shredded bamboo and other vegetables not on the menu which they accommodate to. I replace the white rice with brown rice for a healthier alternative. During company lunches I managed, I would order a variety of dishes. There's not one dish that's not good. It's a must-try restaurant for Chinese food. You won't be disappointed with their food... besides the service which can be a bit slow due to high volume of customers and phone orders.

So my wife and I lived in Pt Richmond for about a year. Before we moved there, we decided to check out the 'hood to see if it was cool. So one Saturday we went there for a walk around the little "downtown" and we were charmed -- a little park with a blues band, all the shops were open and lots of people walking around with kids and dogs. We had a great time. Awesome! Let's do it! So, we quickly realized that this was some sort of special event, and that in reality everything locks up tight by 5:30 or so. DEAD. DEAD as in Vanilla Ice's music career. One of the very few exceptions is Little China. The food is pretty average compared to SF, but pretty good and consistent. The service is great -- there is one consistently-overworked woman who always has a smile on her face. Clearly, they do a lot of pickup and delivery business. There is a flood of people dropping in to get their bag of chow. Little China was one of our frequent stops. Honestly, would we go there if it was not walkable and one of the few restaurants around? Probably not, but it was pretty darn good. And Pt Richmond beggars can't be choosers.

    (3)
  • Brian M.

Ok, I'll come clean-- my immediate neighbor is one of the owners of Little China. So, if I gave it one star, you can just imagine what might happen (we are only a fence apart you know). Seriously, this place is great. I love the food (lunch portions are huge and such a deal!) They only use chicken breast in the dishes (I'm not a dark meat fan so that is worth 3 stars by itself). I hate when I got to KFC and tell them I only want white meat-- man do I get the looks. I'm fully prepared to pay extra for my white meat.... so why the attitude KFC? Anyway, back to Little China, the portions are big for take out (enough for two meals) and very tasty. If you need your Chinese fix, go there. Quick, great prices and friendly service.

This is our "Go To Chinese place . It's usually empty inside but not because of food quality. I think they do a lot of Take out. We like the family dinner deal. The best Won Ton Soup and Crab puffs. We go for dinner. The lunch deal was not impressive. Usually most places give you an eggroll and soup but they offered something like a salad or something like that. I don't remember exactly, but I do remember that I won't go back for lunch. Just dinner. The food is really good

Cheap & fast Chinese food! The menu is large, like most chinese restaurants. It's a teeny tiny place that is always packed and they do a large amount of take out (which, like any other Point Richmond place I've reviewed is how I eat their food). My co-worker has ordered the same thing here every day for almost a year (no joke). I usually rotate through their many chicken dishes. They charge a bit more to substitute brown rice, fried rice or chow mein noodles for the white rice. They either offer free egg rolls or fried wonton chips with your order, I always get excited when I realize I've come on the egg roll day :) The soups are very large orders, the large is double the size of the smalls and the small is plenty large enough for a lunch. The employees are not very talkative, it could be a bit of a language barrier but I've never had a problem with my order or making changes like omitting the mushrooms.

  • Kane M.

hmmm... this three stars is being generous... I was a bit excited to eat here after reading all the reviews and finding out how close they are and that they deliver to where I live. They were friendly, the service was fast, the issue with the service was that we are pescetarians (vegetarians who eat seafood). I repeated several times that we are vegetarians, but shrimp and fish were okay, then I ordered the fried wontons and had her re-affirmed that they were vegetarian. When they came, I thought, interesting flavor...I broke one open sure that I would find mushrooms or textured veggie protein, but no...it was pork. An not just pork, but pork that smelled like ass ( and I spent almost 10 years in kitchens, I know good pork)... She came and I asked her what they were made of. She replied pork. With a little frustration, I repeated for the fourth time that we were vegetarians. She then asked if I wanted to box them up. wtf??? English much? And now for the food. We ordered honey walnut shrimp based on the yelp reviews, Salmon and white garlic sauce, and Szechuan eggplant. Aside from being served Szechuan prawns instead of eggplant, the szechuan sauce tasted like sweet and sour sauce... The honey walnut shrimp was decent, but I could only eat two before the sticky sweet savory flavor became too much. The fried rice was bland, and the Salmon was not worth eating. Of the three plates and one appetiser that we ordered, I think we ate maybe 1/2 a plate worth of food and left the rest sitting on the table when we asked for the check. Sure enough, they charged us for the pork wontons we didn't eat... F#@k it. We paid them everything, left a decent tip, and will never go back. Needless to say, very disappointed. For all those who call this good Chinese food because they don't use MSG (my wife swears she tasted it in the soup) and have big portions, all I have to say is that it is only slightly better than most "American Chinese" but nothing near good Chinese food. It is a little ways away, but if you want a good referencing for what good Chinese food tastes like, go to Little Shin Shin in Oakland. I have never tasted better (in the Bay Area)

    (3)
  • Chris O.

After a while everything tastes the same-- the veggies are pretty much all the same in all the meat dishes. Same sauce. They need to mix it up a bit with hunan or sichuan spices. I lived in Beijing and Shanghai for three years and this is very watered down for the locals. The mao pao tofu is decent. Potstickers are mediocre.

fast service, tasty food, generous portions at lunch and dinnertime. i like it. the spicy garlic green beans are yummy, the house chow fun is great (generous with the meat and shrimp) the sesame chicken is good with a light batter, the honey walnut shrimp is very good, but a little too sweet for me (i know, i know, it's HONEY walnut shrimp, whatever!) btw, there aren't that many places to eat in Point Richmond, and there are only two chinese restaurants. whatever you do, don't go to the other one, it has the most disgusting food i have EVER tasted. i walked out after two bites. so gross.

Dear Little China, when Suzhou closed and turned into that scary vegan restaurant, I thought I'd never eat Chinese in Pt. Richmond again - whose hot and sour soup could rival the magic of Suzhou? Whose chicken and green bean lunch special would ever be as tasty? I was doomed to eat Little Louies. And then, someone said, "You ever try Little China?" GAME CHANGER. Fast and friendly service. Tasty food. Great price.

I HEART this place. GREAT FOOD for a great price QUICK in and out and the lunch specials are a good value. If you have not been here yet, it's a must. There is not too much selection in Point Richmond but this place is great.

  • Ingram S.

Awesome place, very good food. I've tried at least 8 of their items including, kung pao chicken, mongolian beef, orange chicken, and they have all been good. The place is very small so with 15 people in there and the restaurant will feel full. Service is very fast, the waitress is like speedy gonzalez. Oh and it's cheap and you get a lot. Doesn't get better than that.

Picked up some food here on a saturday night for to-go. The menu was listed outside on the window, and it seemed very reasonably priced. Got the beef chow fun, mapo tofu, and hot and sour soup. The Mapo tofu was the best out of all three, it was full of flavor. The hot and sour soup portion was huge, easily 6 bowls of it... I seriously think they made the soup wrong though. It was really sweet! it tasted like sweet and sour soup! I dunno if this is how it always it, but maybe they used sugar instead of salt, it was really weird. If the soup was better, I would have given it another star.

This place sucks! I found hair in my soup, then they tried to say it was my hair even tho I have short hair and the hair in my food was long. On top of that they don't offer delivery service from 11am-2pm they said their too busy its "rush hour" poor management if you ask me hire some more people if your soo busy don't jeopardize your service. You want a good Chinese restaurant go to The Villa on San Pablo Ave.

Good food and a terrific value for the money. Our favorite local Chinese food in the general area. Always, pleasant, friendly and efficient service. Take out and delivery orders were prompt.

Good Chinese food with cheap lunch special prices. However, the actual dish portions are small for these specials and you'll get more rice than anything else. You would be better off buying the entree at regular price and ordering a side of whole brown rice if you're really hungry. I like that they don't use MSG and the dishes are not greasy. I've been going to this Pt. Richmond restaurant since 2006 because it's a couple of blocks from where I work. They consistently deliver very good food. I usually order the sauteed vegetables dish and ask them to add chicken to it. It's really great that they use all white chicken meat on all their dishes, not like some of the cheap restaurants in San Francisco who charge you extra for white meat. The vegetables are a good variety as well for this dish--bok choy, carrots, broccoli, snap peas--and stir fried at a minimum so the vegetables are still crispy when the dish is delivered. Perfect sauteed vegetables in my book! Very unfortunately, I've had a few experiences where one of the waitresses would get my order wrong somehow--I always ask for the white garlic sauce and I would have to return the chicken vegetables dish in a brown sauce which is far too salty for my palate. Also, I wish they would just add chicken vegetables to their regular menu so I wouldn't have to order special each time. Overall, this is a great little restaurant! Be specific when you want white sauce. Try out their spring rolls--they're fabulous and are served hot and crispy, not burnt! They also serve oolong team and a small cabbage appetizer with a fried wonton and sweet and sour soup if you dine in. I don't recommend the walnut shrimp dish--it's not as tasty as I've had in other Chinese restaurants and the sauce is dark--most walnut shrimp dishes have a clear sauce. I also like that their service is consistently good unless you come at the noon hour...and even then it's still really good, prompt service. You don't have to wait too long to get your main dish. And they will come back and ask you if everything is okay. Very friendly wait staff...good, solid restaurant with good food. Two caveats--do not come at the noon hour or you'll be waiting awhile and be clear that you want the white garlic sauce--in fact, repeat yourself several times; sometimes they'll miss and you'll get the saltier brown sauce. Little China is a popular lunch destination in Pt. Richmond--and recommended for their consistently good, non-greasy non-msg food and good service! Reasonably priced, too!

Um, how does this place stay in business?? For $5.95 I not only got a hefty pile of mushroom beef alongside a generous portion of rice, but also spicy soup, hot tea, and an egg roll set atop shredded cabbage with THE BEST PEANUT SAUCE EVER. I am so not overexaggerating. If I didn't live two hours away, I'd come here once a week. Support local businesses!

This is my local Chinese food place. They are fast, cheap and consistently good. The lunch specials are around $6 and if you eat at the restaurant they give you hot and sour soup, a small cabbage salad and an egg roll along with you entree. The restaurant itself is small but they do take-out. It is usually ready in less than 15 minutes.

I go here all the time, my job even orders lunch from here. It's a great little place, they don't mind kids and the staff is really nice. The also don't use a lot of oil or MSG everything feels really light on the tongue. Some of my favorites are Honey Walnut Prawns (just enough sauce and the walnuts are good too) Fresh Mushroom Beef Black Mushroom and bok choy Sesame Chicken (lite on the batter you actually get meat and taste it) So if you are in Point Richmond and want chinese check them out. If you have a large group they have a bigger table in the back but other than that 4 people is max.

Is this the best Chinese food in the SF Bay Area? No, but some of the dishes are fantastic and they are pretty consistent. They are a solid bet for Americanized Chinese food. I strongly recommend the Little China Prawns and the Salt and Pepper Fish. The Orange Chicken is also good. Free delivery is a huge benefit. They are a fall back for us when we don't want to cook. I always over order and then have the left overs for lunch the next day.

This is one of the best chinease places around. Seriously. Its just a little hole in the wall but its in a really cute location, the waitress is very sweet, its not too expensive, they're quick and its so good! The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is that its not consistently good, but 9 times out of 10 its fantastic.

This Chinese food isn't going to change your life or anything, but it is a solid choice if you're looking for a standard Chinese take-out joint. (I've never eaten in, but they do have 8-10 tables if you should choose to dine in.) Actually, to call this place "standard" isn't exactly accurate, b/c I'm pretty sure they make all their own noodles and dumplings from scratch - they just have that look and taste, a little thicker and more uneven than industry standard. I myself love a good thick noodle with a good bit of chew, so this was a definite plus for me. My partner was pining for ribs - - pretty much a standard Chinese take-away menu item, right? You won't find them on this menu, but opt for the potstickers instead and you won't be disappointed. The "General's" chicken wasn't the best I've ever had (a little too much fried breading), but the house lo mein and other noodle dishes were great, as were the garlicy vegetables - super fresh bok choy, broccoli, mushrooms, and snow peas. Fair prices and friendly folks too - - what's not to like?!?

I agree that the food is good and the price is fair. The place has zero atmosphere and is very narrow. It's not China town so I guess they don't need to impress anyone. Parking is rough at lunch, being near Chevron but okay for dinner. They do have takeout parking.

Great local Chinese. They do the standard fare well and have some nice specials as well. We ate there once but usually get take out or delivery. They are always very friendly. (It can get a bit hectic there so be sure to check your delivery items. They forgot the rice once but they went back and got it for us.) They now deliver to Marina Bay as well as Point Richmond

This place will not win any awards, but its very decent chinese food, and an incredible value at lunch time. All three of us were satisfied with our lunch. Your basic special includes hot and sour soup, a meager chinese salad with a fried wonton, plus entree plate with rice for 5.25. Add noodles or fried rice for 50 cents extra. As others have notes, its nothing fancy, but clean enough and the people are pleasant. I would normally give this place 3.5 stars, but rounded up for great value and proximity to my new home.

Stumbled upon a great find. The power went off at the pub I was planning to have dinner at, so I walked around the corner and found Little China open with lights still on. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly. After my next trip sailing, I am sure to return to Little China for their wanton soup and a few other delicious items on the menu.

its truely a hole in a wall. the lunch time special is some what well served its enough for the average person who needs a some what light lunch. soup and salad and a fried won ton to start you off. then the meal will come in a few minutes after. as for pricing its isn't bad at all. I came out full for 7 bucks. the only thing i was upset about was that they are a bit cheap on the shrimp. other then that I will come again.

I was here on Thursday. GREAT little hole in the wall chinese food place. This was only my second time eating from here and It was great. We got LOTS of food! Let me tell you, the crab puffs are to die for! They are this great little mix of slightly sweet and crunchy. The Hunan chicken and General's chicken is good too Esp. With brown rice. This place is great if you want good quality chinese food and are willing to pay a little more.

The people who run this little gem probably think I'm either: a) a gluttonous pig b) a pregnant lady with an insatiable craving for Chinese food c) an obsessive-compulsive who can't break out of her daily routine or her family might explode (and she has to count to four before washing her hands every time) d) all of the above And yet, they still serve me with timeliness and good cheer. And why would they? Because I have been known to eat here at least twice a day on a number of occasions - lunch and dinner, and I would eat breakfast here too if they made it. Things I love: Soft tofu with mixed vegetables in white garlic sauce Orange chicken (good quality chicken, fried to a golden brown and sauteed with dried orange peel) Won ton soup - I can't even explain the deliciousness of it - so fresh tasting Ma Po tofu - I have dreams about this silky, comforting tofu and pork dish So much other deliciousness, I can't even say. There is something truly perfect about the quality of their food. Fresh, flavorful, ungreasy. the prices are right and they have great lunch specials as well. The funniest part about it is, I don't even really like Chinese food that much. The saddest part is, now that I will no longer be working in Point Richmond, I can't eat here every single day. But you can bet I'll be making a special trip on the weekends.

The fam and I went here just cause we were randomly craving chinese. We just moved to Richmond and I yelped for a Chinese food place and happened to find the reviews compromising so we went, kinda far from where I live but in driving distance... and I was VERY satisfied with the sweet and sour chicken:) looooved it. Writing about it makes me want to order some... hahah well try it out! i did, and was very satisfied. Their open late... and are very clean. no MSG and no mystery meat? cleeeeeaaan.

As I live in Pt. Richmond, Little China is my go to place for takeout when I know my fridge is bare or I don't feel like scraping a meal together. Their soups are pretty good, a small is about 1qt container and a large are 2 of them, so you might as well go for a large and save one for later. They are usually pretty fast and when I call ahead, it's almost always waiting for me by the time I get there. Dishes do not taste too greasy or salty. As I don't normally have a meal there, I don't know about the portion size when you eat in, but I've noticed recently that the boxes for takeout are now smaller. I would much rather they raise the price than decrease the size but as far as their food is concerned, it's still tasty at a decent price.

Little China is my old stand-by when I'm too tired to cook. Reliable, decent and fairly priced. Not the greatest selection of veggie entrees, so I end up ordering some seafood. I'm partial to the Sczechwan prawns, or the honey walnut prawns. Paired with some brown rice and hot and sour soup, you've got yourself a nice little meal. If I didn't live in the Point, I don't think I would travel to eat at Little China, but I'm happy to only have to travel 5 minutes to get some good grub.

The service is very quick and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. I get take out all the time, and have never had a bad meal. I recommend the honey walnut prawns, eggplant with garlic sauce (I have them add chicken), house fried rice. My daughter loves the chow mein, but I think it is a touch greasy. The lunch specials are inexpensive, and include soup, cabbage salad, egg roll, and rice. The veggies are fresh and cooked correctly. This is the best Chinese food in Pt. Richmond.

this is my favourite chinese food place... the little china is shabby and dirty. you wouldn't want to bring your date here. but it's a comfort place. you come in, and instantly feel peace in your heart. the stack of yesterday's paper in the corner next to the cashier's counter, the heavy plastic shreaded curtain to the restroom right next to the kitchen, the waiter - tidy and a funny nerdy looking nice young woman in glasses - they all get you ready for the good good food. i don't really know what good chinese food is. i've come from an asian country that used to be a part of the former soviet union but our food has nothing to do with diversity and flavor of chinese cuisine. ok, back to little china... the food is greasy, i admit that. but it tastes really good. it has a balance - it does not get greasy to the point when you start thinking about those ugly figures that you make yourself aware of every morning in your bathroom. my favourites are crab puffs, mango chicken and almost all vegetable dishes. my husband likes the walnut prawns.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
