The dishes we ordered are just what we like, and the service is really good. Btw, most Thai food restraunts are crowded, but this one isn't like that, I like this too. But the dish is a little less which I still can accept.

Very spacious with cute decor. Lunch specials are perfect price and size; $9.95 for an entree, appetizer, scoop of rice, and soup! We ordered yellow curry (delicious), green curry (a little too oily), chicken satay (wonderful), and thai beef (splendid). Overall very satisfied and full! Edamame is also served with your orders. Thai tea was a 6/10 for taste, but came in a really tall glass! Restaurant was pretty much empty so service was very quick and friendly throughout our stay. Definitely will be coming back!

The fiance and I have been eating out a lot since we're now unpacking her stuff and running errands since she arrived. This late afternoon I was putting the final touches on the frame I built for a pet pen. I was in no mood to cook, so we went the short distance to Thai Sky to see what they're all about. The restaurant is "cute" as the fiance called it. It has that traditional Thai type of decoration all around the restaurant as well as framed poster art. The place was very clean as was the bathroom. So far, so good. Because we had somewhat of a heavy lunch, we only got two entrees. She got Pad Kee...something. It had wide rice noodles, shrimp, and veggies. I got the string beans and chicken (sorry, my Thai food name knowledge is pretty sucky). Because I like my Thai iced tea, I got one to compliment my meal. Not much to say about the dishes here. We both agreed they were tasty, but not rock your socks off kind of tasty. The knock I had was the sauce they used was a tad bit salty for my tastes. Fiance agreed too. However spooning it over rice made things right :) The chicken and string beans were cooked well and definitely not overdone. The fiance's noodle dish to me was average as did she. While it was tasty, it just didn't stand out from other places we've been in NY and in LA. The Thai iced tea was delicious. However, that tall glass! Service was excellent. The lady who served us was very nice. I'm giving this a 3.5. I'm going to visit again to see if they have other better dishes, but not any time soon.

Recently moved to Pleasanton and have been searching for a good Thai restaurant to replace our old favorite. We ordered the yellow curry, pad thai and Bangkok pepper steak. None of them were very good. The portions were very very small for the price. They didn't send rice with the curry. The steak was tough and the pad thai was bland. The search continues...

I order from them regularly, regardless of if its the bachelorette night or not, they are friendly and on time with what is quoted. I usually get delivery but whether or not I pick up or get delivery I always have a nice experience. PS the food is bomb

What a great hidden gem!! We must have passed this restaurant dozens of time not giving it a second glance. It is located in an old mart next to a liquor store, however its location does not give it justice. Vaulted ceilings, nice decor, and even an upstairs area. Nice set up, kind service, and the food is excellent!!! We were only looking for a quick take out to try it and found ourselves deciding to stay for lunch. We had our 10 month old too. Very family friendly. Get the spring rolls and yellow curry with chicken!! And they deliver!!

I feel really bad giving so few stars but I am doing it with the intention of giving constructive criticism, because I believe this restaurant has potential. I came around 5 for dinner and ordered Pad See Ew and Mango Curry, excited to indulge in the symphony of spices that one usually experiences when eating Thai cuisine. Much to my disappointment, the Pad See Ew had NO BASIL in it! What is Pad See Ew if it doesn't have any basil??? And the Mango Curry was ridiculously salty and lacked complexity. There were also hardly any mangoes in it. I am confident that the restaurant will be able to alter their recipes so that they can actually serve what they advertise. On the bright side, the Thai Iced Tea and service was pretty good!

Worst Thai food around here. Ordered green and yellow curries to go and both were icky. I used three paper towels to remove the oil off the green curry dish. Together they were $21 but not worth the money. Both were watery and mostly potatoes in the yellow curry and zucchini in the green curry. Place was empty when I came in. Done with this place. Cashier was nice so two stars.

Definitely the worse Thai food so far I ever had in life. Very low quality, chicken is so try and curry is taste less. And it's very expensive for the quality and quantity.

I absolutely LOVE Thai Sky Cuisine. With a new baby, it's not easy to leave the house. And it's difficult to find good food in Pleasanton that will actually deliver (with a low minimum required and with no delivery fee). Thai Sky not only delivers, and delivers timely, but the food is great. My favorites are the Pad Thai (I know, original, but it's so good), the fried potato curry puffs with delicious dipping sauce, and garlic black pepper chicken. If there's a problem with my order, or if they are out of something, they promptly call me and ask what I'd like, which is awesome. Our orders have always been completely accurate and the delivery folks are always so sweet. Love this place - only reason I'm not giving five stars is because it does seem like they run out of menu items every single time I order. But not a huge deal, the food I end up with is always delicious.

Great thai. One of my favorite thai food places for lunch in Happy Valley. Clean, great ambiance. Great service. Delicious pad thai, complimentary soup before the meal. Nice.

low quality, unauthentic Thai food at poor value. I can hardly think of anything worse? curry pork and basil chicken were both very light (watery) with dry meet. uninteresting eggplant and sautéed beef were not terrible but still uninspiring. chicken wings were soaking in honey but not spicy at all. and the tom yum was bland. all portions were biased towards small (for $10 a dish they should be decent portions - at least fill one takeaway container? no, actually some were half a small takeaway container). so much for experimenting as I have rarely had really bad Thai food. one strike against Pleasanton cuisine.

Cheap, tasty, quick - my 3 favorite things in a restaurant. Love their Thai iced teas, pumpkin curry, fried sweet potato slices, and the basil rice. Not an amazing culinary feat here, so you may need to check your pretentiousness at the door. But definitely a solid choice for dinner.

I have been here a few times for lunch now. Great Thai food at a great price. Service is quick. The Masumun beef and Panang Curry were excellent. I will definitely continue having lunch here.

When I'm in the mood for Thai and I'm in the area, then Thai Sky is my go to spot. I occasionally come here for lunch or take out food. Last time I was here, I ordered the pad kee mao as a lunch special. It was very good (everything tasted very fresh) but very spicy for someone like me who usually orders mildly spicy food! So here's a tip--tell them how spicy you want your food unless you don't mind having tears streaming down your face during your meal. I almost got to that point! Before then, I always ordered the yellow curry which was always excellent and their spring rolls and tom yum soup were always on point. They have a bunch of well-priced lunch combos and lunch entrees for you to select from. Their service is pretty fast (they know a lot of people need to return to work) and they are extremely polite. All in all, this is a great spot for lunch if you need to be in and out in a short amount of time!

Went into restaurant to order take out. Young people behind the counter were rude. Asked about not answering or delivering the order and didn't bother to respond. Amazing.

Great food and staff. I have to force my boyfriend to go to Thai with me but he finally found something he likes here! The pad kee mao (he doesn't like peanut) and fried tofu

Let me just say that Thai Sky normally offers excellent food and very fast, friendly customer service. That being said, on October 27, 2014, my family and I entered the restaurant where we were immediately seated and given menus and water. We were the only customers in the restaurant, and ready to order, when a woman came in requesting to place a takeout order. The two staff members completely ignored us, and proceeded to both assist the walk in customer who arrived after us. After a period of waiting, my wife said we are ready to order, but the staff continued focusing their attention on the takeout order. The woman did not even know what she wanted. Frustrated, we decided to walk out and take our business elsewhere. Unacceptable service. The staff should have told the walk in customer that they would be with her in a moment, or have one member assist us, and the other assist her.

Very tasty papaya salad, duck curry and Thai sky fried rice! However, it was surprisingly dead for a Saturday night (we were the only patrons) and it took awhile for us to get our check. Will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the Pleasanton area and have a craving for Thai.

  • Debby K.

Bland, tasteless (oops that's the same thing) food - how can that be at a Thai restaurant. Bummed - won't be back.

  • Andrew S.

This place is surprisingly amazing! Regular front face, but the interior is really inviting. The place is quiet, little on the dead side, but that just meant the service was prompt and the food was excellent. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in Pleasanton looking for authentic Thai food.

Our favorite Thai restaurant. The food is fresh and flavorful and the service is exceptional. We take out more than we eat in but we love both. It took us a while to find Sky but we are so glad we did.

I ordered the Sauteed Spicy Basil Chicken for dinner ($9.99) for pickup, and it was excellent food! I just wish I'd known that I had to pay extra for rice ($1.50), which was somewhat discouraging.

First time ever having Thai food! Was brought here for a work lunch. They gave free Thai tea (iced) and it was sooooooo delicious and sweet! I had no idea there was so much vegetarian options! I work down the street from this place and I think I need to make a trip back with my boyfriend. He got to enjoy my left overs after work and now he wants the real thing! Service was prompt and friendly I think the owner must have been the one serving us. Her daughter must have been on summer break still (about 7 years old) and was so cute, she was setting out linens and place mats and even brought us our check. This place is great :) I'll be back soon!

I am a Thai food fan and enjoy eating at many different Thai places. The Pad Kee Mao was one of the tastiest i've ever had - not too salty, just the right amount of spice. The Peppered Steak was mediocre - not that flavorful. The service was excellent, and they serve a simple Miso soup before your meal. Decently clean environment and Thai decorations are nice.

Great food! Pros: good portions good selection great staff/service Cons: can't think of any...... Don't understand why this place isn't more popular, its really good! For those reviewers talking about food quality..... do you know thai food?

We had delivery for the 2nd time. This time we had pumpkin curry with tofu, shrimp pad thai and yellow curry fried rice with chicken. The first time we had a different curry with chicken and the dancing lady (chef special). Both times, the proteins (chicken, shrimp) were overcooked. This was particularly disappointing because the flavors were really very good, and the rice was done well. Also, we found the curry to be too thinned out, much like a soup. Overall, I really wanted to love Thai Sky because they took over from Lux Thai which was an awesome Thai restaurant... but, just can't do it. There are better places around.

We just moved to Pleasanton about six months ago, and have tried this place twice. The first time, I would have given it three stars, but after tonight, I will never patronize this place again. We got take-out tonight, and they got our order wrong even though I made sure to repeat myself. The food we did get was lackluster, but the thing that turned us off the most was finding two hairs in our food. Here is my review of our individual dishes: Fresh Avocado Spring Rolls: This was the best dish. My only complaint was that there was barely any avocado in the rolls. Crab Rangoon: Well, that's what we ordered, but we're not sure what we received. I still can't figure it out by looking at the menu. Pad Thai with Prawns: This dish was relatively flavorless with only three prawns. Pork Fried Rice: The rice was good, but the meat was flavorless and dry. Basil Eggplant with Chicken: That's what I ordered, but I got chicken with green beans. This was REALLY disappointing, because I am an eggplant fiend and had been looking forward to it all day. There was barely any chicken in the dish, and what was there was as dry and flavorless as the pork. We will definitely find another Thai restaurant in the future.

This place is great because it is on the quieter side, you're not seated too close and it's not too crowded and the food is BOMB. Red curry, green curry , brown rice and the house chardonnay. Plus the service is always gracious and welcoming.

Excellent. Fresh, reasonable, delicious. The basil chicken is really good. We've only done delivery and it is hot and fast.

One of our favorite Thai places...and found it thanks to Yelp! First time we ever had Thai iced tea without the cream (waiter added a touch of lime). Absolutely delicious and refreshing. Haven't been able to find anyone who does it this way. Every dish we have ordered is delicious. All the flavors are done right. Waiter is exceptionally helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Thai Sky.

This was truly a disappointing dining experience (that's putting it nicely). Because I'm new to the area I used yelp to help me find a thai restaurant and of corse this one came up with decent reviews. I called and had dinner delivered. My first hint should have been when they couldn't find me after an hour (wrote down my address wrong) to just cancel but I didn't. I have never had such bad thai food. I ordered the crab ragoon (yuck!) not even sauce good save it., pad see ewe, no flavor (huh? thai food with no flavor) and the pineapple fried rice (the worst) at first my son was disappointed that he couldn't find any pineapples but then I bit into one and I promptly spit it out and called them immediately. I know that we all have different pallets but I know good thai food and this ain't it!

Gosh I love this place. The lady who is normally the only lady serving the food is so sweet. The food tastes super authentic and the portions are not the standard small like you normally get at a Thai restaurant. Best Tom Ka Chicken Soup!

If you're crave sweet Thai Chinese taste, then Thai Sky isn't the restaurant for you. I'm an avid diner of Thai and Lao cuisine and can cook all the classic Thai dishes quite deliciously. Thai Sky's flavors mimic the quality of freshness and tastes found in my own Thai cooking. All the dishes are rich in herbs & spices and authenticity is never lost to any American flare or fusion. They deliver the exact spice level I request never skimping out on the spiciness or the true authentic taste of Thai. When I don't feel like cooking at home, I bring my family and friends to Thai Sky or so take out where it's neatly packaged with the pretty garnishes you see at in restaurant dining. You must try their coconut miang Kham shots as appetizers. Order one for yourself and a second one for the rest of the table. My favorite salad is the spicy yum seafood. It's never fishy and cooked perfectly with all Thai herbs tossed into the mix. Basil chicken is delicious here. For true Thai, ask for fried eggs served over the stir fry. You won't regret it. A good judge of a Thai restaurant is in their pad Thai. Try theirs and you'll understand why. Mangos with sweet sticky rice is to die for with extra drizzle of coconut. But sometimes the mangos are not the best if it's not Phillipines mango season. Enjoy!!

Went here last night (Friday) and the place was a graveyard. The service was mediocre at best. We had to get up to ask for more water, they served our food first without the rice we ordered - and didn't have the rice ready until 10 minutes after they served the food, so we had lukewarm curries on hot rice. While some of the dishes were pretty good (Lettuce wrap appetizer, Chicken Satay, Pad Kee Mao) the curries left much to be desired and ALL of the dishes had ridiculously small portions - at least 30% less than all the other Thai restaurants in the area. Example: The Masamun beef was a mixed bag. The sauce was actually quite good, but there were only 5 chunks of beef a little under 1 square inch each. Net - we're talking about maybe 4oz of beef. It'd be one thing if there were quite a few other goodies in the dish as well, but well... there wasn't. There were about 4 chunks of potato (all smaller than the beef) and about 6 peanuts. Topping it all off - the beef was tough and dry and the potato was under cooked. The shrimp dishes were just as bad - you're looking at about 5 shrimps per dish. The only dish that had no issues/gripes was the chicken pad kee mao, which was a reasonable portion (still smaller than average - albeit acceptable), and was quite tasty. Total - it was $65 before tip for four people - and we all left hungry. We all agreed, we won't be back...

I went there for a dinner date, and the food was great! The staff was really friendly and the only thing I couldn't get or see is ketchup anywhere or salt and pepper or sugar... But the tea didn't need sugar and the food didn't need any salt or pepper....

  • Aisha B.

Yes. As good as it gets. This is the most authentic Thai food I have ever had. I love the family-from-the-heart atmosphere. Truly a place to feel at home and EAT! Really enjoyed the cleverly presented Shrimp shots. The ginger coconut dipping sauce is to die for! The chicken wings were amazing. I loved the crispiness and the flavor. Just right. The chicken Kao Pun was spicy enough for me- and I love spice! I love the creamy coconut flavor of the broth. To finish it all off, I had the pleasure of enjoying the mango sticky rice. Can I just say, O-M-G. Don't leave here without trying it. Take it from this mango junkie, you may need seconds. I'm just saying. I will be back because, not only do you leave with a full belly, but a full spirit- full of joy. Thanks Thai Sky for an extraordinary experience.

I recently ordered take out from Thai Sky and it was great! I hadn't been here since the change over from Lux Thai. I ordered the spicy green beens with chicken, the Rad Na with beef, and the red curry. Everything I ordered was tasty, fresh and wonderful. It was all very yummy, and left me wondering why I hadn't been back in so long! The restaurant was empty but it was 5pm on a Tue night so it wasn't quite dinner time just yet. The service was great, the food was delicious and I will be back!

  • Ashlee Q.

The Tom Yum Soup was just broth, a few slices of mushroom, and chunks of chicken. Awful. Fried rice was dry and tasteless. Rad Na was decent.

Very disappointing. A couple months ago my husband and I grabbed a quick bite at Thai Sky and thought it was okay - I didn't love the curry, but we both liked his Khao Soi. Tonight we were craving Thai food and missing living in SF where there are hundreds of wonderful Thai places. We researched on yelp to see where we should go and were a little surprised that Thai Sky seemed to the winner amongst Pleasanton Thai. But we thought it was enough of a reason to try it agin....a mistake we won't repeat. The service was horrible - it was as if our waitress had never worked or eaten in a restaurant in her life. We had to wave her down several times, got our bill before we were done eating, had menus on our table throughout the meal, and received no help. But, the real problem was with our wine order. I asked for a glass of Pinot Noir from the wine list on the table and she said "no problem." But, then when my husband decided he'd like a glass too and that we should order a bottle she let us know that they were out of that particular wine by the bottle, but had something from the same "company." We asked to see the other bottle and I'm not sure what she meant by company, but it was a merlot and from a completely different winery. We decided not to have the bottle, so I went back to my original order of a Pinot Noir by the glass. The waitress did bring me a glass, but my husband saw her pour a completely different wine than the one I ordered and it tasted terrible. As avid wine drinkers and paying customers this extremely unethical. I wonder if they charge for a decent quality glass and then pour whatever cheap stuff they have laying around for the customers? Furthermore, the food was horrible. We ordered lemongrass soup that was fine, but watery, papaya salad that was bland, and a panang curry. The panang curry was particularly disappointing and reminded me of the other curry I didn't like from our previous visit. Both were very watery and had the texture of a broth rather than a creamy coconut. I refused to waste the calories that I knew were packed in the curry on something so flavorless - my husband makes a tastier low fat, paleo diet version at home. We decided to do our own experiment and order the Khao Soi that we liked before to see if it was maybe a different cook or "off night." But, as it turns out, the Khao Soi was wonderful...which was a nice end to the meal, but also makes me feel that this wasn't an off night, the rest of the food just isn't good, period. My only positive about the restaurant is that it's really inexpensive. I can't remember the last time we had a bill that small, so it may have been a waste of calories, but not of money.

Not a place that serves authentic thai food but its good and definitely worth a try. Service although is slow , they are quite helpful. All the curries taste almost the same. So you will be disappointed if you are looking for authentic Thai food generally know for its hot, sour, sweet and salty taste. Having said that, I enjoy having occasional lunches there.

  • Robert C.

I love Thai food, I used to eat a lot of it when I lived in SF. Pleasanton is not the place to find Thai food evidently. Ordered Papaya salad, coconut rice, Red curry and Tom Kha to go. Nothing was spicy, everything kind of tasted the same, same flavor profile. Papaya salad not spicy at all, no spice, no flavor. Red curry very watery. Tom Kha very watery. Maybe the chef was off for the night but this was not good.

I'm Asian so I'm more picky about Asian food. It's alright...not excellent as everyone claims it to be. White mushrooms instead of the standard straw mushrooms in their tom yum soup is a def no-no. Their beef salad was alright...but nothing spectacular. The service was really good but other than that...I've had much better fast food Thai food. I don't know if it's because it's in Pleasanton that it's getting such a high rating. But as an avid Thai eater in the LA area, this is nothing I will be returning to.

Great new Thai place in Pleasanton! Much bigger on the inside than it seems form the outside. Went in to order take out - food took a while to get but was fresh when we got home. Ordered spicy basil chicken and spicy basil chicken fried rice. The fried rice needed a little more flavor.

New favorite Thai place. Its a must eat at if you are anywhere around the bay area and looking for awesome Thai food. If you are looking for something crappy and totally non-authentic then DON'T go here. I have eaten here about 7 times... I have never had anything that wasn't amazing, fall out of your chair, stuff your face till you burst AWESOME. You will love the selections available and you will be amazed all the way down to the hand carved garnishes. I recently went there with a group of 13 people... everyone that walked out of there said it was the best food they have ever eaten in their life. Must haves: Shrimp and toasted coconut shooters red curry basil chicken with rice and a fried egg on top Mint Limeade Mango and Sticky rice- black, green or regular Clay Pot Beware that this place is like crack and will have you coming back for more!

I come from a place where restaurants like Thai Spice, Krung Thai, and Thai Orchid rule the land. One visit to Thai Sky made me feel right at home- good Thai food and ambiance.

We went there for lunch today and had a great experience. The server was nice and attentive. My husband chose the lunch combo with curries over rice, and I had the Pad Kee Mao. Very nice flavors, and everything was in balance. We even got complimentary soup of the day. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fish cake appetizer, but since I'm not particularly fond of its flavor anyway, I don't feel I'm qualified to comment on it. My husband liked it though.

Nice ambiance, the dining room is very inviting. The food was so good. Mango sticky rice was really tastey, you MUST try the coconut shots they are to die for!! Crab Rangoons are good, not as good as Hunan Chef Wong but still really tasty.

I got take out here the other night. The service was speedy and the lady behind the counter was really nice. The main courses are pretty good but nothing exceptional - I had the Musaman curry with rice, and the curry itself was a little watery and not as spicy as I like. However, the mango sticky rice was amazing! I didn't even think I like that dessert, but it was so good I've been craving more ever since.

I had lunch yesterday (4/6/12). I had the thai basil with chicken and it was very good. The ingredients were fresh, and as requested the chef kept the spicyness at a moderate level. Service was prompt and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and spacious. They were not at all busy, which was a surprise to me.

Called in Order for pick up. Gave our order to someone else. Then had the nerve to tell us we could wait another 45 minutes for our order (even longer than the initial 30 minute wait). Workers incompetent and unable to deliver good service. Lost my business.

I like what the new owners have done with the old Lux Thai. It was clean and relaxing with soft music and pleasant decor. The restroom was clean and fresh smelling... a big plus! We had a couple of our standards, to test the waters, so to speak. Rainbow salad was so so... 2 shrimp, minimal chicken and not much flavor. Tom Kha Kai had a very nice flavor in a thinner broth than we're used to but in a good way. It didn't seen so cloying and we both agreed that the chicken was the most tender we've had in a soup. Three Brothers was not too memorable, but the Seafood Curry with pineapple was delicious. Again, there was a shortage of prawns(they were the only seafood and we got a discount because of it) but the sauce was heavenly! I brought the rest home and will add my own seafood. Overall, it was good.

I had a wonderful experience here with my family. Decided to start off with the lettuce wrap, shrimp, coconut, lime in a cup appetizer. What a delightful dish! The kids didn't want one so two each for me and my wife. So yummy! The kids were busy drinking their delicious mango and strawberry smoothies. Our main dishes were pad thai, red curry, and Thai sky fried rice. All were very delicious and nicely presented. We ended the meal by sharing a scrumptious fried banana with coconut ice cream! The service was very warm, friendly, and attentive. We'll definitely be back again!!!

Fantastic! We are new to town but already have a favorite. The waitress was so nice and helped us pick two yummy dishes. And they deliver!! (within 5 miles) The only wish would be for a spicy scale. Many Thai restaurants I've been to ask for your desired spice on a scale of 1-10. Would have liked more heat to my dishes.

went there for lunch today & ordered the kao piak. i will not be returning. the kao piak smelled funny & they used udon noodles instead of flour noodles. found that very funny. y would u use japanese udon noodles in a thai/laos dish? the smelly dish wasn't even the worst of it! i decided to keep eating the kao piak because i didn't want to upset my bf because he's always stating i'm picky. i'm not picky! i just enjoy good food! but anyways found a hair on my noodle & that put the icing on the cake! my bf still paid for the hairy kao piak & told the lady, but her response was 'the chef is wearing a hat" well just because he's wearing a hat doesn't mean the hat is going to prevent hair fallout! maybe he should wear a hair net :/

My friend and I had dinner at Thai Sky and we were impressed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the presentation of the food, all the way down to the vegetables cut into flowers. The Pad Thai was yummy as was the chicken in the yellow curry. My favorite was the appetizer with the lettuce, shrimp, lime, coconut, nuts, sweet sauce, and ?? It was heavenly!! It is presented in a lettuce wrap in cute glasses. You must try this when you are there. We will definitely return!

Really BAD customer service....Very DISAPPOINTING. We had placed an order for delivery. It came withing half an hour but they mixed up my order. So I called back and complained about it. And the owner lady offered to put in a new order if I would come and pick it up. Helllo.....I cant. and that is why I ordered it to be delivered. She HUNG UP! Counted till 10 and called her back. " I dont have time, cannot deliver " She confirmed she was the owner and hung up on me AGAIN. The food was very average. We had dined here once before and the service then was again mediocre at best. Thought would give them a second chance but not again. I have eaten better Thai in the Tri-valley.

I had the Thai Clay Pot dish and it was fabulous! I love the authentic Thai ingredients with a mixture of sweet and aromatic flavors. The service is wonderful and the decor inside the restaurant is as authentic as the dishes themselves. I always stop by when I am in the area.

What a great new find! Judging from the outside, Thai Sky looked like an average strip-mall restaurant...but once we walked inside..WOW! The place is beautifully decorated and clean. The staff was very friendly too. I got the green curry chicken and my husband got the panang curry -- both were fantastic and just the right amount of spice. If you haven't ever ordered chai yen nom (thai iced tea), this is the place to do it..it was perfect. For dessert we ordered the mango and sticky rice and were basically licking our plates clean. We used to live in Thailand, and this food was so authentic and well-made that I didn't even feel we were in Pleasanton. Lovely place to bring a group of friends for dinner. We will definitely return. Highly recommended!

We recently picked up some take out food from Thai Sky so this review is about the food only. Where to begin? Good/decent: fried calamari - crispy coating and not too chewy; grilled beef - good thai flavor and very lean beef; red curry - could have used some more coconut milk and was pretty thin, but decent heat and flavor. Bad: pad thai - pretty flavorless and very few ingredients other than noodles; garlic black pepper beef - no garlic, no pepper, just barely seasoned beef sauted and chewy; chicken satay - very little marinade flavor with thin, weak peanut sauce; crab rangoons - nearly burned little packets of questionable contents, which did not appear or taste like crab or cream cheese - just nasty.

I have been to many a Thai restaurants over the years and had authentic Thai cooking from Natives of Thailand. This restaurant is the real deal. We met the owner who was so nice and gracious. The service was great and friendly, and personal. Every Thai place is a little different in taste and this one was great. Some of the dishes are different than I have had them at other places, but the bottom line is that everything that entered my mouth tasted so good, that I was planning who I would take here next. Definitely in my top tier of places to eat in the 680 corridor. I had the coconut shrimp shooters, red duck curry and I cant stop thinking about it. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

I called for take out and ordered green curry chicken, mussaman beef and pad thai noodles and pra nam. Just back from Thailand. We loved it. I think my wife went back for seconds after I wen to sleep or the dog has developed an affinity for Thai food.

This place is really hidden. The food is really good. I was really in the mood for pad Thai .. And once we got our order and digged in..all I can say is yum! Pad Thai noodles were very good not soo greasy like most places I go to.. I hope this little business does well because it is hidden . my husband and I only saw one other couple there =\ .

Not sure why this place gets so little love. We tried it on a Friday night and it was fairly empty. Yet, this easily was the best Thai food we have had in Pleasanton and the surrounding area. Some dishes could have used a bit more heat (such as the Green Curry), and the noodles were slightly overcooked, but everything was flavorful, nicely presented, and made of good fresh ingredients, and some dishes were really good. Is it the best Thai food ever? Of course not. But it was quite good and the service was friendly and we'll definitely return the next time we want to eat Thai food.
