High Tide low flavor. First, let me say I will eventually give this place another shot because we all deserve 2nd chances. Secondly, WHAT THE YELP?! I've heard a couple Linda Mar locals rave about this place so in starting my SLO FOOD movement, I decided to give it a try. Now I wonder why?! Yes, I did rhyme there and that is the only good thing that is coming out of my visit. Because I'm a man on the go, I ordered carryout and it seemed that over the phone the guy had a little attitude. I dismissed it until I got there and found out he had a lot of attitude. Got back home to enjoy my burger and I'm surprised that this place is so close to the water but sells a burger that is ridiculously dry and let's not get on the fries. Okay let's get on the fries because they really smelled like seafood. I don't like to rag on anyone or give a bad yelping review but bad is bad, hopefully a breakfast visit will change my point of view. Also I told a friend about my visit and they stated I ordered the wrong thing but here is my response to that statement "IF YOU CAN'T COOK IT, DON'T PUT IT ON YOUR MENU!"

Enjoyed a Sunday breakfast with friends and am so happy to have a new local cafe for breakfast. I truly hope they are sucessful in their venture here in Pacifica - we could really use these types of establishments to bolster our local economy and improve our community. Had the Crepe Florentine after reading the reviews and wasn't disappointed, Good portions. Entrees in the $8 range. I've posted a photo of the menu board as they don't have a website yet. Very similar operation to Squat and Gobble in West Portal. Very busy this Sunday morning and we had a group of 5, which was difficult to seat, but we took two tables outside and were happy. (Its a rare day that you would enjoy sitting outside in Pacifica, but we do get some of our best weather in Sept-Oct.) Order from the large menu posted on the wall at the counter, and food is served to your table. My only regret was that the house coffee is priced per cup and there was no automatic refill offered at the table (I am sure I could have requested one when they checked to see if we wanted anything else, but an improvement would be someone walking around with the coffee providing a refill) My nephew visited earlier in the month and enjoyed a burger - another welcome addition to our coastal community. All in all, I will be back. edited to add - just learned High Tide is owned and operated by the same family that owns Squat & Gobble and Crapevine - no wonder there are similarities!!

I decided to spend my day off having lunch with my happy people, JCP, PL, and GP. JCP was so accommodating to pick a place that had what I liked to eat, crepes. The restaurant was a bit out of the way for me but nonetheless it was a clean place with funky artwork, friendly people and good service. I had the cheddar cheese apple crepe, an OJ, and I shared a peppermint hot chocolate with PL. The OJ was freshly squeezed, cold, and sweet. JCP's carrot juice was well filtered without any fiber leftovers in her beverage. This helped to go down nice and smooth. The crepe, soft and thin with crispy edges, was filled with slices of apple that were well coated with cinnamon, brown sugar, and cheddar cheese. It was tasty. The hot chocolate was rich, creamy with peppermint essence and a light bitter sweetness. PL said the smell reminded him of "a hot girl on a summer night". Whahaha!!! We had a good time eating and laughing. Honestly I was enjoying the company and really didn't focus my attention too much on the food so I am not sure how fair was my review. Though I ate all my crepe so it had to be decent. I think I need to come back.

I found my new favorite breakfast place in Pacifica. My wife and I shared a Sunrise Crepe and it was fabulous. Lots of provolone cheese, eggs, and sausage. The spring salad was fresh and the potatoes were crispy and delicious. Sharing one plate was plenty! Paired with a mimosa with fresh squeezed OJ and a cafe au lait, it was a perfect brunch in their outside patio. Beautiful paintings around the patio, too.

The best place in Pacifica to get breakfast and lunch is great too. Its very casual and you order at register. Lots of choices for breakfast and lunch. They always accommodate my gluten intolerance. Yes, please hold the bread on that sandwich :) Their portions are huge, the service is great, and right next to the beach. My favorite things there are: sweet, freshly squeezed orange juice; their crispy bacon, rosemary garlic fries, and the Beach Club. Two thumbs up!

I love crepes. I love frites. Oh, they call them fries, cause we're in America. But this place reminds of lovely creperies over yonder. In fact, to me the name of this place doesn't quite match. But I digress. We don't dine on names alone. The food is really good here. Quite an impressive breaky menu, to be sure. Hotcakes, eggs; essentials. Not a vast menu, but done nicely. I came for the crepes, tho. Well prepared, tasty, savory, in fact. Great pesto, no fatty chicken pieces, ample mushrooms and cheese. Just needed a dash of hot sauce. The home fries were fantastic, nice and crisp and flavorful. The burgers are served on really fresh bread. I thought the serving of fries could have been a little greater, and our order was a bit over done. They refilled our water from a pitcher with lemon and mint leaves. It wasn't overpowering, either. Really wonderful staff, great food, decent prices, nice portions. Well done.

I was looking for a place for family for brunch on Saturday. We had a pretty good experience before, so what the heck. It was better than before. I have only sat in the front dining room. This time we sat in the back patio. The service was good. They got us water and even refilled my coffee continuously when I asked. They even took away the dishes after we finished. The food was good before, and equally good this time. The crepe with chicken and pesto was outstanding as always.

If you are in Pacifica, definitely come here for breakfast or lunch. They have a wide selection of bagel sandwiches, scrambles, omelets, pancakes, and crepes. The sandwiches looked good too. Let's just say I wanted to order everything place has very cute decor and they do have outside seating. You order and pay first before you get seated. It's a cute place for a date or small groups. The first time I came here, I got the low tide scramble to go. It was amazing and came with potatoes and toast, the usual. I also got a mocha, which was really good too. The second time, I got the pacific crepe which had salmon, cheese, and spinach. It also came with sides of salad and house potatoes. The last time I came here, I got the turkey blt club sandwich, which was totally worth it. It came with salad and fries. You definitely get enough food for the price! I highly recommend this place!

Yum!!! Went here with my son for a quick bite before bowling... I ordered a chicken apple crepe and my son ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The portions were HUGE! My crepe was delicious!! It came with a small salad and potatoes. I thought it was a lot of food... The place is cute and clean and the staff was very friendly! This is a wonderful neighborhood place - too bad it isn't in my neighborhood.. :(

This is a breath of fresh air for Pacifica when it comes to restaurants. Though the restaurant itself is a bit small, the decor is vibrant with colorful paintings. Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. My favorite dishes are the strawberry and nutella crepe and the chicken pesto crepe with house potatoes and salad....always hits the spot! My only gripe is the lack of table service which shouldn't be an issue because the place isn't humongous. Don't get me wrong, the employees there are nice but don't come thirsty because you'll be lucky to get one refill. That's a big deal to me and that's the only reason they didn't get that last star. Overall...great food, don't miss out!

SO GOOD! I am so excited to have found a little breakfast place (serves lunch as well) by my work. They have sooo many choices of dishes that it is hard to choose from. They even have stuff that is not on the menu (like a breakfast sandwich). They serve their breakfast meals with these potatoes that are cooked with rosemary and some kind of mustard I think...tasty. Well priced and good service. I am going back for sure!

I love me a good crepe and this place did not disappoint. I came here with my friend and her Mom on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Walking into this bright and cheerful cafe was a warm relief. We placed our order at the front counter and then took a seat in front of the window. They have a nice variety of sweet and savory crepes. I went with the Florentine which had spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions and cottage cheese. The crepes come with a side of the fries or potatoes and a side of greens. The crepe was perfection and super filling. Next time I'm going to create my own sweet crepe - yum yum. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they put on the plate. Another reason to love Pacifica!

Pretty much a carbon copy of Crepevine in Burlingame, and when I asked the owner about it, he said they were close friends. Menu is Crepevine lite: 60% of the items. Got my usual fare at a place like this: an omelet and a crepe for my wife and I to share, and eggs for my son. omelet wasn't bad, decent flavor, but a bit overdone. ( I like them moist and fluffy.) Usually happens when these type of places are busy. I noticed another omelet later when the place wasn't quite as busy and it looked a little better. Crepe was a pacific, and I was surprised that they offer it with both smoked or grilled salmon. I decided on the grilled salmon and it wasn't bad. Flavor was pretty good but the crepe itself was bit overdone (parts of the crepe were a brown and parts were black). The cream cheese was smack dab in the middle and I took a bite with only cream cheese and that wasn't a pleasant experience. House potatoes were good. Overall a decent experience and will be back to try again when I'm in the area.

This place is obviously very new, rooftop structures are being worked on still. It is NOT right off highway 1, but rather off San Pedro, opposite side of Linda Mar. You will not find it casually driving down highway 1. Given that, I wonder how their business does. But no matter, they were open, and I was starving. Ordered nutella/strawberry crepe and french toast. The dishes, much like the decor, were fancy yet minimalist, justifying that you are paying for something other than just fancified eggs and flour. And yes, I find this a bit overpriced but then I don't remember a single crepe place that I thought otherwise. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that it is a fad, something that's got a more elegant image than the less refined American style pancakes. French toast was good, not runny, not dry, no leftover egg around the crust, not too sweet, allowing the powdered sugar on top to do its job. What was important to me was that it was quite warm when it came to me, for which I was grateful because it took them a minute to make my two items. The crepe was a crepe, I didn't exactly get anything special so there was nothing special about it. It was much smaller than I'm used to, but the texture of the crepe itself was quite nice. The outer edge was a bit dry but I'm blaming the amount of time it was sitting while I was inhaling the french toast. I could see the server raising an eyebrow at seeing me by myself. The cashier must have thought I was ordering for two people, as he asked me if I was ok with just one drink. But I inhaled it all, and was fully satisfied, albeit with two people's worth of food according to them. Total was $15.xx. An expensive breakfast, for sure, but this is by no means a diner. The fancy presentation intimidated me into eating everything with a fork and knife, which meant precious nutella wasted and leftover on the plate, which I tried my best to sop up (belatedly thinking I should have saved one piece of french toast for this). I tried to tidy up as much of my mess as possible (that place is way too clean for me) and brought my plates to them, the least I could do. I think it was a double surprise for them, as I had cleared both plates. Don't people know how to eat? The food is good, but expensive, and not portioned for the big appetites. You have to know where it is in order to find it. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to give this place a high rating or not, but bottom line is (as always) the quality of the food. Hence my rating.

Wanted to find a new place to try and saw the good reviews on Yelp so we made the short drive to Pacifica. So glad we did! Cute little restuarant and awesome breakfast! The location is great too, right next to the beach so you can take a nice walk after food! Went back a couple weeks later and tried their coffee...meh...will stick with iced tea! But still excellent breakfast spot. Will have to go back and try lunch!

The portions were big, the service was good and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was real calm and relaxing. The pricing was reasonable. The average price of an entree was $8.95 this includes the house potatoes or fries and salad. The food was tasty and filling. The salad was very fresh as was all the ingredients on my plate. I had a basic crepe (onion and cheese) with Ham with the house potatoes (potatoes grilled with olive oil garlic and rosemary) and a Strawberry Nutella crepe. It was real nice and I will go back there again to try out some of the other stuff on the menu. I want to try them for breakfast. I need a decent place to go to when I get that craving.

My husband and I were in Brisbane and drove down to Pacifica to check it out. The town is great, but we came back again just to eat here a second time. This restaurant is on the beach, but the views are actually blocked, but that's okay - the food will keep your eyes while you are here anyway. Delicious! I had the most delicious fish tacos I have ever tasted. We also had a dessert crepe to finish off the meal - YUM!

Just right !! That's how I describe this place. Came across this place last year while looking for somewhere to eat after hanging out at the Pacifica Pier during "high tide" to watch the crazy waves hit the pier. My boyfriend and I now look forward to coming here when we can drive up. The crepes are the reason to come here, however the other food is good quality too. We can never decide if we want to have sweet or savory so we just order one of each and share, that way you get the best of both worlds! The salad that comes with the crepe is dressed with a delish vinaigrette and the potatoes are crispy on the out side and fluffy and hot in the middle. We have never been disappointed about a thing here. What a gem of a place in this city by the beach, you cant go wrong!!

Hmmm... this place was a bit of a letdown for our Sunday brunch. Food was oversalted and lacking on taste... service was slow, inefficient and not particularly friendly... atmosphere was crowded and busy, though we eventually scored an indoor table for our group of four. Reading all these glowing reviews, I feel i must've caught it on an off-day. Or maybe the standards for brunch in Pacific are extraordinarily low. No one in my group was particularly impressed with their food, they said the coffee was horrible, and we waited a very, very long time for our food. So, not surprisingly, nothing about my experience at High Side has me craving another visit. But, if you do go, the crepes looked like the better option (I ordered an omelette).

This is a nice little place to eat at. The food is always good and the staff is so nice! Worth a try if you're looking for something different. Pacifica doesn't have many options so it's nice to have a new alternative.

One of the better, more consistent spots in/near Pacifica for affordable eating and good variety and price/value throughout the day. It's a good place for kids and the staff is friendly and helpful. I can see why the San Franciscans who venture down here for brunch might not be overly impressed and give lackluster reviews, but this place is hands down better than Nona's next door which is over priced and inconsistent in quality.

The family and I went here for brunch. I LOVE High Tide! Everything we ordered was delish!!! The building isn't great. Looks like they're fixing up the roof still but doesn't affect the restaurant inside. I was afraid we wouldn't have a space to sit but after you order your food, you see a few people bustling around, wiping down tables and making space for you. This older gentleman was wiping down the tables and was friendly. Might be the owner? He was cracking jokes and making conversation with us. Nice guy! We waited a few minutes and our drinks came out. Few minutes later, our food was out already. I ordered the Sunrise. Husb ordered the Denver omelette and our lil boy ordered blueberry pancakes with a side of strawberries. No complaints, AT ALL!! Everything tasted great!!! I especially love their pancakes. I couldn't stop stealing bites from my son's plate. And the order of fruit on the side was more than enough! Portions are pretty big. We could only eat half of our food and wrapped up the rest. We also had a nutella, strawberry with nuts crepe to go. That was really good too and pretty resonably priced. Servers were really attentive and quick. High Tide is a very cutesy, cozy place to have brunch with your family or catch up with friends. I can't wait to go back!

LOVE this place! I'm trying to eat local these days and there aren't a lot of good local breakfast places is Pacifica. Got tired of going to Nonna's all the time so I was glad High Tide opened, plus they have crepes...my favorite! Great food...huge portions (your crepe or sandwich comes with a salad and fries or potatoes--get the potatoes!). Reasonable prices. Great location by Linda Mar beach. Kid-friendly. What more could you ask for?! My new favorite weekend brunch place!

I start this review with a thanks to Jennifer CP ( yelp.com/user_details?us… ) for her review. I think she might like carrot Juice as much as me! But lets get on with it. My first reference to the High Tide Restaurant Cafe and Creperie came from Yelp.com (of course). My love for fresh carrot juice was the "carrot" that led me here. When you are searching for the High Tide Restaurant Cafe and Creperie don't forget it on the ocean side of Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) in a small strip mall. You have to take a side road off of PCH to get there. If you miss this small turn off then you'll end up over Devil's Slide before you know it. The front of the High Tide Restaurant Cafe and Creperie is relatively drab with just a simple white sign and a few table in front. Once you park and walk inside the entire appearance changes. The High Tide takes advantage of the windows to show off a interior with bright organic colors and an open air feeling. The Walls look great! The Floor looks great!. The lighting and ceiling looks good too! Just about the only think that detracts from the appearance is the parking lot view out the front window. This seems to be a recurring theme in Pacifica, a town that should have more ocean views for their restaurants. Go figure?!?. But I came here more for the food just like you would. Let me say first this is a breakfast and lunch place. Maybe even a late lunch. When you look at their menu you'll notice this fact right away. Here is what I settled on for my meal: + The Eye Opener: Your standard two eggs any way you want plus potatoes and toast. + A Small Orance Juice + A Small Carrot Juice. I swear this stuff must come directly from mother nature's bloodstream. then,,, + A sweet apple and cheese crepe. The first part of my order came after a few minutes. Long enough to know they made my plate fresh, but not too long. When my order arrived I forgot to order extra parsley. I love mounds of it with breakfast to help cut and digest the eggs. The person who brought my plate accommodated me perfectly with and extra plate piled high with the green goodness. Thank you High Tide! Everything was cooked perfectly. Though I have to point out the rye toast was made from bread that was a little dense and gluteny. The flavor was good but I like a lighter texture. Both the Carrot and Orange juices arrived fresh from the juicer! Big delicious flavor was in each glass. I love my morning-afternoon-evening-night Carrot juice! If you do too the High Tide is a great place to go! MMMMMM!!!! When it came time for the second part of my meal I caught a waiter's attention to let him know I was ready. I found out they forgot my second part and he had no idea where the ticket was . Neither did the kitchen from what I heard. No worries, a quick reminder and the order was continued. My sweet apple and cheese crepe was quickly prepared. The crepe itself was a little heavy. Well, heavier than many other places I have been to. But overall the place was good. The rest of the ingredients were also good. The dish did not take me away to memories of a Paris cafe, but I still vote The High Tide as a decent local place to enjoy a crepe. A trip to the bathroom showed it was a well decorate and as clean as the rest of the restaurant. Very nice! Even though The High Tide only has a parking lot view the do have and additional quality of being very close to the beach. I can see my next visit will include ordering a burger as a take out item. I can then walk away from the parking lot and enjoy it out on the sand while the waves lap the shore, the birds dot my view, and families enjoy the day with me. BTW the burgers are charbroiled! I can hardly wait for my next visit!! The High Tide Restaurant Cafe and Creperie is a great place to go for many positive reasons and a place I can recommend for you too!

I really, truly wish this place could be good, as dining options in our linda mar (even all of Pacifica ) are limited. This was my third time here. The first time was a bad experience, but wanted to give them a second chance. The second time was not good either, and I decided not to go back. Until yesterday, when a good friend wanted to go, despite my suggestions for other places. Now, the atmosphere is nice. Quaint, cozy, outside patio with heaters, great vibrant painted murals, easy ordering, paying upfront, etc.. The first complaint, is the forgetting. Each of the three times I have been here, someone's drink is forgotten. Flagging someone down is difficult, twice we've had to approach the register. Second, not once has someone smiled to greet us or take the order. I think that would already make a huge difference in the whole experience :/ one is made to feel a nuisance. However, I must stress that this last experience, there was a lady who actually approached our table at the end and asked pleasantly how we were doing and if we needed anything. FIRST time in three visits I have seen this! This was the one thing that gives me hope for the place. Third, the Italian crepes we got were FILLED with red pepper and gobs of cheese. There were two small bites of eggplant in mine, one was raw. I had to spit it out. The friend dining with me couldn't find anything but red pepper and cheese in hers. The house potatoes were partly burned black, and some were hard. And it's not cheap. We felt we had just been duped. We were so disappointed :( High Tide is such a great concept, and one we really need in Pacifica. But not this version, unfortunately. I feel I need to add that, the first time I ate here and had a problem, I mentioned it to the person in charge. I received a sarcastic comment, which surprised us. I am not a difficult person in restaurants, having worked in the industry for a long time, I am too familiar with the stresses and tasks of prep and serving. I have high regard for everyone in this business. Perhaps that is why I kept from writing reviews of my previous experiences here. But, it feels like a "three strikes you're out" situation.

Great crepe spot. The salad that comes with the meal is refreshingly light, and the home fries are crispy without being saturated in oil. The crepes are amazing too, not too big, just the right amount of filling. Atmosphere is nice, perfect for a beachside town. Only reason I gave it a 4 is that the service, while generally quick, can be a bit indifferent.

I love, love, love this cafe. The food is great, especially for breakfast. The staff and the owners are so friendly and that's so important to dine at a place that not only has great food but a friendly atmosphere. I go here when I take walks down the coast on my weekends and after a long walk to refuel the food is delightful and very generous. You'll walk out full and happy. If you haven't checked this place out, please do you'll not be disappointed.

We had been looking forward to going here, and went in prepared to LOVE this place. I am still appalled at how much it sucked. Aside from the brusque sullen service from what appears to be the owners, my husbands Denver omelette was pathetic. Eggs leathery, while the onions, peppers and cheese were not even cooked at all. Totally raw. The hash browns were ok, but the toast was dry, stale and not really even toasted. It looked like it was half toasted for another order twenty minutes prior and left under a heat lamp. It was even curved up and hard at the edges and leathery on the underside. I had scrambled eggs and they obviously weren't real eggs. Either powdered eggs or really cheap egg substitute. And greasy. We waited for about an hour for our crepe and just about the time we were going to ask for our money back, it came to the table. Also leathery and kinda burnt. And lacking the bananas we asked for. And just thrown on the plate with no care. And there were two big blueberry thumbprints on the plate just to underline the general filthiness and disregard in the kitchen. And sometimes you just get the luck of the draw for crappy food, except that the couple across from us had a similar experience. After the third request, the man finally got his pancake combo, long after the woman had finished her entire meal. The look on his face mirrored mine. On the one plus side, the young skater server guy was about the nicest ever. I hope he gets a better job.

I am now in food heaven in Pacifica. We would drive over the hill to West Portal (Squat and Cobble) or Burlingame (Crepevine) for these crepes and sandwiches. Now they are down the street. Finally a healthy, low-fat, tasty restaurant in Pacifica.

One star is being nice, took 45 minutes for our food to get to the table, ice cream was melted and the food was cold. Will never be back, told the manager how long it took and she didn't even say sorry, just made the excuse they were busy.

Walking in, I wasn't sure what normal protocol was, but the staff in front were very friendly and kind. I got the Chicken Pesto crepe and really liked it, plus it came with fries, so that was nice. I plan to go back to try their sandwiches!

I like this place a lot. You order at the counter and sit anywhere you'd like. Their orange juice was freshly squeezed. They have a huge menu so whatever you're in the mood for, its there and not too expensive :) We ordered: - Denver Omelette (delicious) and a big portion - Club Sandwich (very very tasty) Cute place and good price. Try it out.. :)

3.5 star. I wasn't quite sure how to feel about this place. When we arrived, it seemed like the workers there didn't know what they were doing. The line to place your order was painfully slow, because the cashier kept walking away to move boxes, or just walk around the floor to clean tables. It just seemed unorganized. I ordered the Sunrise and a chocolate smoothie (that was on the drink specials of the day), but the cashier and the bartender had no idea how to make a chocolate smoothie. They asked how I wanted them to make it... "do you just want ice cream with some chocolate syrup or something?" I just replied "I'm not sure- it's on your drink specials menu" and they just gave me a blank stare. =/ When the food came, it was pretty good. I like the crepe itself. It's actually better than the crepevine one. The only thing lacking was the chicken apple sausage. There wasn't a whole lot of it. The potatoes that came with the crepe were actually very good also, although I'd pass on the salad or try to get it substituted. My girlfriend ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice which was delicious. I hear comments from the table next to us saying how "this is how orange juice should be!" and I couldn't agree more. This place has good enough food to warrant a higher rating. It just really needs to get organized and distribute tasks better amongst the staff. Again, it's a nice place- pretty clean. Just prepare to wait a while between arriving and receiving your food.

Zoom and I stopped by after a morning walk on a foggy Saturday. The layout, look of the menu board, and the names of the various dishes reminded me very much of the Bean Bag on Divis in SF. Loved having dog friendly seating out front. Counter staff was very attentive and brought me another cup of coffee as a refill. The savory Florentine crepe was quickly prepared and very fresh. Lots of food for a reasonable amount of cash. Great coffee and espresso selection. I have a feeling that this will be my new favorite breakfast place. I am stunned that they are open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday! I have often wanted an after-dinner coffee house source. I look forward to trying them out then with a dessert crepe: Nutella and strawberries, what could be better? They also offer kids menu items for $3.95.

I've been here two other times, and it has been good. Good food, good value. Crepe plus salad plus home fries for 8-9$? Nice! But I tried the buttermilk pancakes this time... disappointing. Three large pancakes, as promised, but with a pat of butter on the top one (only) and a small cup of syrup on the side. What's up with that? At $7+ with tax, shouldn't the pancakes come with as much butter and syrup as you want, especially since the pancakes don't come with anything else? For that price, I would think it would come with a side of fruit! Also, the pancakes were not that buttermilk tasting... I should have ordered the blueberry ones at $1 more... I will come back, because I like the crepes here, but I think the owners should seriously rethink the buttermilk pancake thing. Normally you get good value for your money here, but I can't recommend the buttermilk pancakes.

It's about time I've written a review of one of my favorite eateries in Pacifica. After living here a year and a half there are only a few places that I like to eat out in Pacifica. This is definitely one of them! The food is fresh and very yummy. I've tried nearly all of their breakfast dishes as well as a few lunch ones. I prefer breakfast and it's great they serve it all day! Prices are great too, $8-$12. It's a laid back place so don't expect anything fancy. The wall mural and art is something to see:) I believe it's family owned and I would much rather support mom and pop places than somewhere like Denny's that is right across the street. All in all it's a great place and I would recommend to anyone. It's also within walking distance to the beach so that is another plus!

i have been going here for several years and, unfortunately, it is slipping downward. Yes, made the mistake of ordering pasta one time and paid the price. Pretty bad. since it is not a core product, should have expected a less than stellar dish but it was not even at that level. However other visits have led to that thought, "where else is there to eat in Pacifica". Not sure if there was an ownership change but something happened.

As far as breakfast and brunch goes its great to find a place with a wonderful selection, indoor and outdoor seating and pleasant people. I live in SF and am always cranky when I want to go out on the weekends due to the huge crowds and random "creative" menu offerings. Here its big servings and yummy, normal foods! I have eaten here twice, the coffee is yummy, crepes are huge. They actually serve you, although you do order at the entrance. Compared to what I pay in the city for breakfast or even at Denny's for crappy food I think the prices are reasonable.

Terrible management with no concern for customer satisfaction. Terrible service. Poor quality food. We were 3 adults and 2 children at 1 table. 2 adults were served while others waited 20 minutes for food. Scrambled eggs were sevred wrong as fried eggs. Dressing on salad tasted like all vinegar. Crepe was more dough than filling. Manager refused to compensate us with a discount or even a dessert for children. I made the mistake of giving a tip when pre- paying before eating. Don't eat here.

I was quite happy when this place first open. Let's face it there are that many places to go in Pacifica. If this place is half decent I would be very happy. If was that at first just okay. The crepe and sandwich was okay but not outstanding. Just when I thought we had a somewhere in Pacifica to go to on a semi regular base, the following happen. I had their dessert crepe one night and had the worst stomach ache couple hours later in years. I haven't been back since. This an real disappointment. I do hope they get better. Pacifica need better eats.

Went here on suggestion from a good friend. She was right. Good food. Good prices. Good service if you don't mind ordering before you sit. Had fish tacos and fish & chips. Tasted fresh and nice portions. Definitely will be going back. Thanks Sara. Stopped into High Tides a couple weeks ago with some friends for breakfast. The service was good and they were packed. So I guess that tells you something. I have eaten there for dinner a few times but the breakfast is the better way to go. The crepes were great, the omelet was perfect and the home potatoes are awesome. This is a nice find for someone who isn't in a hurry.

The crepes are light, the veggies and fruit are fresh, the pastas yummy and not over-cooked, the service spot on, the prices within any buget - what's not to love!! Been there several times and have never been disappointed - I have a host of can't-eats and they are SO great about accommodating any special request.' This is great for all ages - we're a 4-generation group - and suggesting High Tide brings lots of smiles and a rush to the car. Go there - yuou'll love it!!!!

One of the few restaurants/cafes in Pacifica that is fun to take a group of girlfriends too. The atmosphere is clean and artsy. The food is great, for Pacifica. Real espresso and crapes! Great for a morning brunch. I highly recommend High Tide Restaurant.

Their service often sucks (depends on which day you go)! There is one young woman 20's and one guy also in his 20's that give good service. Often the cashiers are absent. Frequently the workers who ARE there don't acknowledge customers existence when they walk in. There is only one size coffee to go at $2.50 plus tax. I used to go there for a small coffee to go after surfing. They recently did away with small and large to go. Now they only have an overpriced medium size. I was told that this was the new management's decision. They just lost 2/3 of their coffee to go business(lots of surfers)! If I wanted crappy, overpriced coffee I'd go to Beach Monkey Cafe! Most of the food is good depending on which day you go. Stay away from the fish and chips. The fish was mushy. Yeah I think after all the negative experiences there I'll just cross the highway and go to Starbucks for coffee and Kerri's for breakfast (typical diner but good), La Playa for lunch or dinner. Kerri's has disappeared since this review was first written.

Elena and I were looking for a change of pace Friday night. We went to this restaurant. It was crowded so that told us that it was good. Elena ordered a crepe and I had an omelette. The food was great and the service excellent. Please give them a try!

I love the food at High Tide but like other reviewers I've found the customer service is lacking and the wait for food is long. Finding a table can be tough too.

Decent food, but this is the slowest restaurant I've been to in years!!! We arrived to find a relatively short line, and so were optimistic. However, we didn't realize that the cashier was alternating between taking people's orders, filling take-away orders, and doing random restaurant chores. So, it took us maybe 30 minutes to place our order - and there were only about 5-6 parties ahead of us. Then, we sit down at our table and start to wait. And wait. And wait some more. About 45 minutes later our food arrives. By this time we were starving and very grumpy. I mean, we ordered CREPES. Which take literally minutes to make. And they were good, but it was just not worth it. One pity star for the ultra freshly squeezed orange juice.

We went just yesterday. There were 2 hairs in my potatoes, the food took just under an hour to get to us after we ordered. The food was cold and we both were sick afterwards. Our day trip to the ocean was miserable because of it. All we got were crepes too and im glad we didnt get anything else. The service was slow and the people seemed careless. Unless you like having a stomach ache for a day, go elsewhere.

I have been to this restaurant several times, and love it. The food is good, with very large portions, there is a good kids menu, and the staff is very friendly! The location is great, very close to the beach. They have wonderful tropical iced tea, too.

We found a new favorite eatery here on the coast. We went to this place around 3pm on New Years Day. We were pleasantly greeted by an older gentleman behind the counter with a hearty Happy New Year and were thrilled that there were a few tables available. We were both drawn to the Sunrise ( I think that was the name) on the savory side. Yummy! Both of our dishes were hot, tasty and brilliantly displayed. It came with a hearty heap of salad in a pretty yummy dressing ( I think it was a raspberry vinaigrette) . The menu is pretty great and you can create your own. The pricing was at a pleasant price point for what you get and the ambiance was pretty nice. I really enjoyed the psychedelic style artwork - It made for some great conversation. Great new place - I can see us hitting this up a few times a month.

This is definitely one of those misses as far as I am concerned. So far, yelp hits about 80% of the times for me, but this was one of those 20% misses. My rule of thumb is to order if the name of the restaurant has the name of the dish they serve. So I ordered Crepe and it was burned and not very good. My over easy eggs were very very runny and the pasta was very over cooked. It was definitely not one of my best meal in Pacifica.

I love this place. Us Pacificans sadly don't have many good food options but at least we now have this place! It's a great addition to Pacifica and my family and everyone we know here loves this place. We love the burgers, salads, chicken pesto sandwich, home fries, cheesesteak, and some of the soups (they change daily so we've tried a few). The sandwiches come with fries and a basic green salad (always really fresh with a nice vinaigrette) so that's nice, and you can sub all fries/all salad/homefries as you wish. Even though it's a crepe place I just haven't managed to try one yet, though the dessert one with bananas and nutella is always calling to me. Refills on soft drinks is nice, and the owners and their family are the ones always working the place and they're all really friendly. We've been bringing our now 7 month old baby here since he was born and they are always accommodating and warm. Location right at the beach is great for people driving down Hwy 1 or want to head out of SF for an afternoon. You can park once and eat at this place AND hang out at the beach.

Man! I can't believe how busy this place can be on a Sunday morning. I think it might be out of desperation. I keep going here due to the limited breakfast options in Pacifica- why? Why??? Yesterday we came here and sat out back, and it took about 15 minutes to get our coffee (I even asked when I ordered if I could get the coffee and she said, "they'll bring it to you". When my 2 eggs and toast arrived, the scrambled eggs were delicious, but the toast was burnt on one side, and completely soft on the other (how is this possible?). I showed one of the employees, who looked annoyed, and offered to bring me more toast but never did. My dining companions were underwhelmed by the quality of the food - the breakfast burrito was supposed to have meat but didn't, the home fries were greasy and over-fried, the food was brought to our table with no silverware. The salt in the shaker was caked and brown (no salt came out) and the creamer had little chunks in it, ruining the coffee. There isn't really waitstaff, people bring your food and you order at the counter but if you need something there's a line of about 10 people you have to cut in front of just to ask for cream or silverware. It's a really disorganized place with sub-par food. On a side note, someone really controlling got a label maker and printed out labels on all the sugar dispensers warning you not to play with the sugars. So I played with them. I miss Nonna's.

I like that this place serves breakfast until late because I'm not one to get up at 8am. There food is decent, I like their vanilla latte and Italian sodas. I haven't tried their crepes yet I'm kind of iffy on them, but I will be back for more

This is the kind of restaurant you'd expect to find in Noe Valley. Luckily for me it's in P-town! I've been here for lunch a few times and so far it's been great. They have fresh squeezed juices that are made to order and a menu that caters to both the health conscience and non-dieters! The decor will remind you of a Pasta Pompedoro, but it looks good.

I really like the High Tide. The food is really fresh and cooked nicely. The place is informal--and the menu has lots of healthy choices. They have a new outdoor patio in the back which is great when it is sunny. I like the salad with fresh salmon. They have wine and beer, and an expresso bar too. Great addition to this area in Linda Mar. You can go shopping at Fresh & Easy next door too.

It is so nice to have another good restaurant in Pacifica. I have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. My kids adore it and it is great for the adults too. I love the crepe's and scrambles and have also had the club sandwich. The red wine is yummy (Megage a trois) and fine for a casual dinner. My son had the fettucine alfredo last visit, which was a let down. It was too oily and had no flavor. Since we had already paid for the meal, we didn't make too big a deal, but did let them know. As for the dessert crepes, well they are wonderful. We always enjoy a nutella and banana crepe and recently had the apple, cinnamon and cheese crepe. Not to mention that the prices are very reasonable. The portions are very generous and we always leave with a take home box.

Crepes! Love 'em and glad to have a nearby creperie.. I ordered the nutella banana crepe and it was delish, but when we ate there, we were the only ones eating (it was 7:20 on a Monday night) I was suprised to find my crepe cold.. Anyway the menu looks yummy and I will go back to try more dishes but it's hard to order other items when I cant resist nutella crepes

Went here last night with my husband, been very excited to try it. Pacifica is so lacking in good places to eat. I love to support the local businesses but they have to at least TRY to make decent food. This place succeeds! This place gives off a very happy vibe. I loved the brightness of it, especially the giant mural painted on one wall and th paintings that were hanging. They almost looked like they were for sale. They're not, but I am definitely wondering if they were painted locally. Anyway, the food. I ordered the Florentine crepe with onions, jack, spinach and cottage cheese. Came with a salad and house fries or french fries. I had the house fries. My husband ordered the burger with fries. We took our number and went to grab a table. The wait wasn't long at all. Really good size portions for the price, and my husband's burger looked great. One thing I did notice with mine is it seemed a tad oily on the inside. I'm thinking this was on account of the onions. Hubby said his burger was good. I really like their menu, can't wait to try some of the crepes with eggs and of course the sweet ones with nutella! Something I would like to see in the future.....a little more variety on what you can put into the crepe, and also the choice of regular crepe or buckwheat crepe, for those of us watching our white flour intake. Looking forward to coming back here with the kids. Very happy to have a place like this in our town, seems to be just what we needed!

Had breakfast on a Saturday here. I couldn't decide between the omelet or the crepe, so I ordered both. I had the Surf's Up Omelet and The Mix crepes. Both delicious! The staff was friendly and very attentive. There wasn't a table when we first got there, but in no time they showed us over and we were seated. The food came up very quickly and was delicious! No complaints!

I read the yelp reviews before I went here for my first time (I had no idea this place was here...only a few blocks from my house!) and they did not steer me wrong. The chicken pesto crepe is so yummy! And this is coming from someone who is not a feta cheese fan (and there is a lot of it in there...but it is goood). My friends has salmon crepes and liked them too. I will definitely be back and next time, I hope to sit outside on a sunny morning on the coast!

This place definitely doesn't deserve four stars in my opinions. They don't seem to have a system in place for properly operating. It's all kind of a cluster. The service was non existent, and our food took FOREVER. In their defense though, the food was great. Mimosas left a lot to be desired.

So I've been here twice and both times i ordered breakfast. The first time was bacon and eggs and the bacon was nice and thick while the eggs were cooked perfectly medium. My friends got two different pasta dishes and really enjoyed them. The server or bus boy or whatever they are refilled our drinks several times so that was awesome! The second time I ordered the spinach omlet and it wasnt as good as I'd hoped it would be because it was really oily. Also, my friend ordered the bacon and eggs and ordered her eggs over easy, but they came over hard. I feel like this place has a lot of potential, but the omlet was my most recent experience and I really didnt like it. I like the fact that you pay up front and can leave whenever you feel like it, and I plan on coming back soon to give a better review!

mixed dessert crepe - nutella, strawberry, and nuts crepe looked to be on the small side. found crepe skin was not cooked enough. half of it was not really browned so that made it taste not so good. crepe tasted ok overall. i've had better crepes the menu at this place looks very much like the one at squat and gobble if not exactly. the menu i know has different items but the way the items are listed and designed look very much like squat and gobble's.

Terrible, terrible service and food. I ordered turkey club to go with no mayonnaise from the surly girl at the register. It took longer than 30 minutes to get it with an apology for how late it was (they forgot about my order). I knew--in their haste--there would be mayonnaise all over the sandwich and there was. I took the sandwich back but surly girl didn't believe me and had to check the receipts. I went shopping next door came back and picked up the sandwich. Their solution was to scrape some of the mayonnaise off, along with most of the avocado that comes with the sandwich. There was still mayonnaise on the lettuce, turkey, and tomato. I wasn't rude or angry with them when my sandwich was late and made incorrectly. Their service sucked plain and simple. The food sucked too. I would give them zero stars.

Seems to be some common themes among the reviews of this place. Atmosphere lively and colorful. Crepes fresh and flavorful. Girls at front counter miserable and unwelcoming. Wish I could say my visits have been different in regards to the staff but I have never received a smile or hi, how are you. And yes, smiling and being friendly IS part of the job description. Just ask your boss! Or maybe they don't care given the unfriendly service seems to be a running complaint among most of the reviews. It makes a huge difference in making a decision whether to spend our money here or go to the hundreds of other places competing for our dollars.

I live in Pacifica which means I cook and eat at home often or go to the city if I want to eat out. Pacifica doesn't offer the finest palatable choices, but, High Tide is excellent! Sometimes the hostess comes off as aloof, okay, most days... but, she is nice and attentive. It seems to be a family owned place and everyone there presents as hard workers - food comes out quick and the quality is always excellent, fresh and consistent. I like that you order and pay, get a # and they bring your food. They are very good at filling up water glasses, etc. With a wide spectrum of foods from sandwhiches, crepes, breakfast and pasta, you can bring almost anyone there and they will leave content. I also can't get over that I can spend $10-11 and get a huge tasty crepe, salad, and fries or potatoes and that since they have opened they haven't skimped on the portions nor has the quality suffered.

I really, really, wanted to like this place and I've been there several times. Great idea for a crepery near Pacifica beach. But I don't think I will be going anymore. When it first opened, the service was completely chaotic and disorganized. I figured it would get better as they got their workflow mastered. It improved a bit, but it's still not great. If you order food, they will bring it out, but if you have to ask for anything else while you're sitting at your table, you're lucky if you get it. They have difficulty with large crowds. The crepes are pretty good. I usually got the florentine, which I enjoyed, but it wasn't anything special. The rest of the menu I tried was pretty average. The last time I was here, I ordered an egg scramble. I waited for a long time and when it came, it was ice cold!! I told the waiter and he took it back (did you not notice you were serving a cold plate of eggs?) When it came back, it was the same plate that had been put in the microwave... incredibly tacky. Sorry High Tide, you just don't do it for me.

AVOID! Arrived @ Noon on a recent chilly Sunday, not too busy. Ordered a bagel and 1 crepe, 1 coffee at the counter. 20 minutes later no coffee (it was right behind the guy who took the order). I had to ask for it. 30" later still no food. Really, 30" for a toasted bagel? Both items were dreadful when they did arrive. Bagel was worst I have ever had. (newflash - a bagel is a bagel, not a round piece of wonderbread that flattens to a disgusting flat wafer when eaten. Can't even imagine where you could find bagels so bad.) My daughter's crepe was nearly inedible (and she was a hungry 9 yr old who is not fussy). It's too bad b/c this place is cute and heaters on back patio very nice. This is yet more proof that people in Pacifica are not foodies and put up with (& patronize) very bad restaurants in their area.

Like many people on this site, I have low expectations for new restaurants in Pacifica. I was impressed with High Tide. It's kind of your typical crepe place (ala crepe vine, and creperie in SF), but the quality's good and the people are friendly. . . on that note - it's nice to see a new game in town for the not-so-nice owner next door at nona's.

  • Charlweed H.

Pretty good simple food for reasonable prices. Sometimes when they are busy, fries are cold. They trip up on order requests too, don't depend on no mayo on your sandwich, and expect your burger to always be well done. It's not always their fault, but the space is pretty cramped. It would be nice if the outdoor eating was in a garden, and not a parking lot.

Super solid local place for brunch or a quick lunch. Service has been back and forth - most often very good, sometimes a bit lacking. The food is consistent, and it's great for kids. I just think they were shorthanded the last time we were there - food took a long time, and other tables nearby weren't being bussed - which is a challenge when people grab their own table. And sometimes the seating out back is a little dirty. But overall - handy to have nearby when we need a quick meal and don't feel like traveling too far.

Ok: Short handed & overwhelmed. Needs to be cleaned. (Badly) Staff needs help & training. Will give this a break because the staff seems overwhelmed and it's local... But, a message to the ownership... Please clean your room, and you could really succeed here on the coast.

My roommate and I needed some sustenance before strawberry picking. We stopped here to get some breakfast. The menu is very similar to Crepevine in the city. I ordered Sunrise crepe, which had chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs, and salsa. The sausage was really good, both sweet and savory. The crepe also came with house potatoes and a salad, both of which were okay. I also got half carrot juice/half orange juice. It was fresh squeezed, and yummy. If you're hungry and close by, you won't be unsatisfied with a meal here.

My boyfriend and I decided to go out for breakfast instead of staying home and Im so happy we did. This place is honestly one of the best places Ive been to. The food is decent just a tad below 4 stars and I've had quite a few things here. I give it a 5 stars because of the perfect beach art work, the back patio, the large cafe drinks, it's on the beach, bathrooms are super clean and big, it's a fun place and because the people who work there are really cool, accommodating and don't act like they hate their lives plain and simple! Great Staff! I don't like coming here on the weekends as the crowd is a bit different and sometimes stresses out the staff but if you can come on the weekdays when it's mostly locals, its perfect with plenty of parking. Also, every time I read negative reviews about how long things take, It's because this is Pacifica not SF. We enjoy our lives and not everybody is in a rush or hurry and stressed out so if you happen to be in Pacifica and from the city, please leave your city BS in the city!

There was a lot wrong with this restaurant. First off, let's start with the fact that their water heater or pipe or something along that line wasn't working so the water itself was turned off. This brought many questions to mind as to how on earth are places allowed to be open when they don't have running water especially a restaurant! Secondly, after ordering our food and receiving it, it was cold. There was very few people inside so it's hard for me to understand how our food was cold, had it been sitting there for a long time? Who knows! Lastly, I think it is very unprofessional for employees to discuss their dislike of other fellow employees while around customers! Definitely not a classy place to be, cold food and questionable code violations. Although I am from out of town, but I do know that the next time I am in the neighborhood I will be sure to just drive right by this place. No thank you.

Good, basic breakfast! I had the Surfs Up omelette and it was okay! Good coffee, nice servers, but busy & distracted...I had to go grab my own flatware & napkin after they brought my food! Sort of just okay...nitging negative...but nothing special either!

Stopped in on a cold and foggy Pacifica night. Our group was glad to find that they had some warm food other than crepes. Had florentine crepe with added chicken. The extra protein did the trick. Others did not add chicken with their savory crepes and felt that the food was a little light and lacking substance. The panini caprese had mixed reviews in that there was just not much to the sandwich. Worth checking out if you are in crepe or sandwich mood. Most crepes and entrees are around $10

This place can get very busy with tourists in the summer. My complaint is not the food. The salsa omelette is tasty, though the toast seldom is warm. The problem is that the crowds overwhelm the staff and service becomes confused, at best. Tables and floors are not as clean as they could be. Requests for drink refills seem to be lost. There appear to be times when staff is well-trained and other times when they are in a trance. I hope that they can fix their problems.

Despite some not so good reviews on their Yelp site, we've been coming to Pacifica for years and always stopping in at High Tide. Yesterday we had a solid breakfast (scrambled eggs, great bacon, home fries) and my wife ordered a turkey club, also very good. Fresh squeezed OJ hit the spot and the most important thing is that they are dog friendly (out in front). So Rozzie my black labby and Layla my son's yellow lab also could enjoy the setting (plus a few table scaps) following their beach frolic. Some of the snobby reviewers should not expect gourmet level food here... the food is wholesome, solid, basic, nothing more , nothing less.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much when we went here but the food was pretty good, service needs some help, but overall a good experience. Ordered at the counter, it did take a long time for them to serve our drinks. So I kept thinking it was serf serve and went up to ask. No they would bring it. More time but finally delivered. Food arrived shortly after. I had a burger that was really very good. All meat cooked perfect lots of fresh lettuce, onion and tomato. My friend had the fish and chips which was also very tasty. Server came by to check offered to refill my drink and never came back. Oh well. I still walked away happy with my meal and chalked it up to too much surfing and pot for the counter people the night before. I would definitely go back if in the area. Huge back outdoor patio as well. Large and clean bathrooms always a plus

We love this place. We don't live in the area, but every time we are up in San Francisco, we make it a point to drive down to Pacifica to eat here. This last visit was exceptionally good as we were greeted by Phillip whose customer service is really refreshing. He went out of his way for us and the food was delicious. Their beers are wonderful and very cold. Phillip put sprinkles on the kids' hot chocolate which was a nice touch. Kids like sprinkles. I'd highly recommend this place.

I love this place! The staff is always in a good mood and super friendly. The food is awesome! I recommend the surfs-up omelette for breakfast with a glass of orange-carrot juice. Then walk down to the beach, build a sand castle or what have you... Then come back for lunch and get the fish tacos or a philly cheesesteak and pint of I.P.A.... Boom!

This was our first time at High Tide and the food was great! We were there around 10am on a Saturday and got our food in record time. So many choices it was hard to decide. Finally chose off the crepe menu and had the chicken pesto! Sooo flavorful! Came with house potatoes and a handful of fresh greens. Perfect! Definitely coming back and telling my friends.

A long long time ago, I was told that the owners of High Tide are related to the owners of Crepevine in SF. And I've always believed it since they're absolutely identical in appearance and menu... I paid them a visit early in the morning with my best friend. We both ordered the sweet crepes - I had the Strawberry Nutella. I thought it was only okay - too much Nutella, not enough strawberries. And the strawberries were kinda mushy. And it was the legitimately the smallest crepe I've ever seen. I liked the addition of 3 mini scoops of vanilla ice cream though! I also got the Cafe Mocha with soy milk. That was pretty good. Had a good helping of foam on the top - could've played around with latte art haha not too sweet. The service is FANTASTIC! If anything, the employees count for 1 full star. The one guy that cleaned up our plates was all smiles, which is a HUGE plus in customer service. Keep at it!

Clean and inviting atmosphere. We came here because The Taproom next door was busy. I'm glad we did. The staff is friendly and the manager went out of his way to check on us. He recommended the Chicken Pesto Crepe which was delicious. The Oceanside tuna melt was also good. We'll go back and try out their brunch.

Dropped in for breakfast on a Sunday. The place was busy (a good sign). Very casual and the service was great. We didn't get anything special (just some omelets, eggs, etc.). But the fresh OJ/carrot juice was great. Good breakfast, health choices, great service and good food, what else do you want!

Stick to the breakfast menu. Crapes are good. Lunch type items are not so goid.. They had a caprese panini that was neither a panini nor a caprese. It was was chopped lettuce, feta, & tomatoes (at least one ingredient right) in a french roll. Completely unedible. Club sandwich was average at best. Fries were good. My wife, the caprese panini victum, also ordered a coke. When the coke arrived it was completely flat. You could not make out a single bubble. We rarely send things back but we mentioned the flat coke. The waiter returned with flat rootbeer. We took that back to the counter and then got more flat coke. We gave up the fight at that point.

If you are looking for good quick service, do not come here. We ordered 2 drinks to go and it took more than 10 mins to receive them. 10 mins for a lemonade (it came out of a soda gun) & an Italian soda that is simply syrup and soda water. If they were busy, I can understand, but there were 2 drink servers and only one other customer.

Potatoes could use more flavor, but this is a really cute cafe. I stopped here to study while my bf surfed right next door. Super convenient, cheap, free wifi. Will be back!

Sunflower Cafe was my first cafe experience in San Francisco. We came around lunch the first time, and I believe the owner was the one who took care of us. He jotted down our order on the back of a bit receipt paper. It took a while for the service but it was packed, so it was understandable. He was very friendly, and when he realized he forgot our cappuccino, he immediately made two - one was on the house. He even sprinkled a bit of chocolate on them, it was amazing. When the food came, I realize they had gotten my sandwich completely wrong, but it was still delicious so I didn't care - the Sunflower burger my SO ordered was even better. Long story short, love this little mom and pop place, already been back once and would definitely recommend it for breakfast or lunch. If you come here, just know service might take a bit, but it's well worth it!

The 1 star is for the customer service; however, food wise, I would give it a 2.5/3. As a visitor into the area, I thought I would give this place a shot since it was advertised on Yelp and popped up as the first search result. BIG MISTAKE, should've read the reviews. There was nearly a handful of diners, yet the service was horrendous. Tell me this, why did I wait for 20 minutes for a mediocre steak sandwich with concrete like French fries? On top of that, the employer was terribly rude. While waiting in a line to grab a to-go box and change for the tip, he was extremely demeaning towards the customer before myself, and when he was "overwhelmed" by the line (4 individuals including myself), he halted all transactions with a half excuse of taking care of one drink order. Upon returning to the register, I kindly asked if I may obtain a to-go box for my food that I paid for and did not finish-- is this a foreign act, because the look on his face was sheer confusion, distraught and annoyance, he even repeated my request in the form of a question with a shove of the to-go box in my face. Even with that service, I kindly attempted to ask if I could break a large bill, instead he stomped off in the other direction with no mind to the tip I was going to leave, as well as leaving such an impression on the customers who were dumb founded by this employee's actions.

I am in love with this place. My folks just visited from out of state, and my dad, who is rather frugal, actually asked to come back here two days in a row. He loved how full of real blueberries the pancakes were. I had the cheesesteak, which we Pennsylvanians rated not bad for CA. I had the apple-cheddar-cinnamon crepe the next day. It was just savory enough to not make me feel overly sugared. My folks definitely stole a few bites with a thumbs up. My only complaint is that it's so popular that some singles were sitting at tables reserved for 3 or more. The server kindly offered to move us when one opened up without us even asking. Be prepared to order when you walk in, then find a table. The menu is a large chalkboard behind the counter. Less hemming and hawing over the menu at the tables. If you can't decide, go with the blueberry pancakes or the apple cheese crepe! Oh, and it is currently a little detoured from the 1, watch the road signs.

My wife and I had a very nice time here. Not sure why some reviews were so harsh. It is a proverbial hole in the wall place to eat. Food was great for this price. Service was very good and food arrived to our table hot and tasty. Able to walk to beach after eating to cap a wonderful day here by the ocean. Will be coming back when traveling to half moon bay

Orange carrot juice is wonderful. Burgers are excellent. Crepes I've tried are good, the apple cheese one is something an apple pie lover would like. The salads we've tried are good. We had their homemade cream of mushroom soup and it was sooo good. We've had a couple minor glitches there, i.e. eggs over done, steak way to rare, that kind of stuff, but we will go again.

Stale bagel, hardly toasted, with barely any cream cheese. Coffee was okay but way too much foam in the cappuccino. They seemed understaffed at the counter with only one employee taking orders, making coffee and waiting the tables (there was a line about 8 people deep to make an order - on a Thursday morning). Overall, not recommended based on this one experience but there aren't many other breakfast options in the area. Try it for yourself and see what you think. Redeeming values = next to the beach, friendly service, free coffee refills (to-go as well).

Never super excited to go here...not sure why. Maybe it's because I have a thing for consistency in a restaurant - especially consistency in the service and caliber of food. While I've never really had a bad meal here...I'm always nervous about what I'm actually going to get once my food is in front of me. Also never sure how the service will be. However, with all that said - while the service was all over the place last time, they were very apologetic and helpful once I brought it to their attention. Food is good - decent sized menu but I've only ever ordered breakfast items; omelettes, pancakes (huge), eggs/bacon/sausage, mochas etc. Inside - the place is cute and hip (for Pacifica). There is outdoor seating in front and patio seating (covered) in back. Near the beach : )

Reminded me of Squat and Gobble which I love. A little pricey considering you have to order your food at a counter and don't really have a dedicated "server" but that was expected so no big deal. Food was tasty. I had the Italian Crepe and my husband had a basic breakfast plate. He loved the chicken apple sausage. We enjoyed the enclosed back patio seating with cute murals on the walls. Great for us since we had our kids in tow. Will visit again!

This is a great casual restaurant located on the beach. Everytime I have gone here, I am blown away by the outstanding customer service. They make their customers feel like they are important and give great a experience. They have huge and good size portions, and I cannot finish a plate. I love the fact that they serve french fries and a side salad with almost every dish. It's nice that they have a healthy options here rather than just serving fries. Other restaurants will just give you fries. I absolutely love the vibe in here, especially the back patio. I will be back very soon.

We tried this place a few times and it's always been either okay or disappointing. One time I ordered the crepes for breakfast, which were okay but nothing to write home about. Another time we got breakfast burritos, but unfortunately the chopped sausage was burnt and it made the whole meal taste bitter. Every time I've been there, the waitstaff has been inattentive and disinterested. I can't recommend High Tide when there are much better restaurants nearby.

Definitely a place to go for either savory Crepes or my favorite-the sweet ones! I'm so happy and surprised to find this place in quaint Pacifica. You might even miss this place if you're driving fast. This is nestled in a small shopping area before you leave town heading on Hwy 1 South to your right. Next to the Fresh and Easy supermarket. Their menu board is colorfully decked in various shades of chalks. It truly does add to the happy feel as soon as you walk in. I had the Strawberry Crepes with the whole works. Loved it! With a couple of scoops of ice cream. Sooo delicious! I think I have found my go to place for crepes in that area!

Was a beautiful day and we had a $40 gift card so we decided to check it out. There was a bit of a line but the staff was working hard to stay on top of it. We ordered a HUGE Caprese baguette, California Burger, 1 soda and for dessert a strawberry Nutella crepe with vanilla ice cream. All of that and we still had $7 left on our gift card!!! Can't beat it!!!

I like High Tide. The food is good and the people who work there are friendly. The only issue I have is that three times they've gotten my order wrong. The first time, we were a party of four and they didn't get my order at all. I just sat there while everyone one else enjoyed their meals. The second time, they brought me the wrong soup (they have two to choose from). For some reason it then took them about 15 minutes to bring me the right soup. Then last week, I ordered a "Beach Club" on sourdough with house potatoes. It showed up on wheat with fries. It was good. Just not what I ordered. I'll keep going to High Tide. Like I said, I like it. I just wish they'd do a better job of getting the orders right.

The artwork at High Tide is unbelievable! I wish I took the artist's card so I could purchase his artwork. Aside from the art, the food is ok. I ordered the chicken pesto crepe which had chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, almonds, provolone, feta cheese, and pesto. It was substantial in size, but I wish it had a little more salt or flavor to it. I did enjoy the fact that they service salad with each of their dishes. Great location as it is near the beach!

I don't know why I go back when I know it's horrible.. Maybe because it's 15 second walk from my house and every 8 months I think.. Why not. Then I'm reminded why not. No matter what I order, there's always something..can I get a bagel with cream cheese and avocado? Sure we have plain, everything, or wheat bagels.. I'll Take a everything. 5 min later (cause it takes that long to look for bagels)..we don't have any everything bagels left, would you like a plain? Sure that works. 10 min later I get a everything with cream cheese. When did they decide they have an everything bagel? After they said they didn't and started putting the plain in the toaster? And where's the avo? I didn't know It was possible to mess up a bagel. Hahaha no body likes a quitter... But I quit going there.

For having lived just 10 minutes away from Pacifica Beach for practically my entire life, I'm so surprised I haven't been to this little café yet. Literally a few steps away from the beach, with a shared parking lot. It's standard fare café food, although I do think they could up their game a bit. The Surfer's Omelette came with bacon and chicken apple sausage among other ingredients. Unfortunately, the bacon and sausage were extremely overcooked (and by overcooked, I mean burnt). I would go back again, just not for that... But hey, maybe it was a bad day. Their orange juice on the other hand was amazing! Extremely fresh, and you can definitely tell. I will be back again for sure to try their sandwiches and scrambles!

I can't write a review based on the hot dishes as I have never eaten here, but I have stopped here multiple mornings on my way to work and picked up fruit and coffee to go. The fruit cup to go is a great deal and contains lots of fresh fruit like strawberries, bananas, cantaloupe and honeydew. Coffee is great too. Under $5 for both coffee and fruit..awesome deal and very nice people who work here.

My family and I stayed in Pacifica over the weekend and didn't know where to go for breakfast. We reluctantly headed toward the chain breakfast place as visions of bad coffee danced in my head. On a whim we decided to change plans and try the High Tide Cafe & Crepery instead, which we had seen the evening before. Great choice! The food was great and the coffee was perfect (with many options to satisfy all of our various coffee cravings). Service was speedy and very courteous. The menu options were plentiful (even though in the end we all opted for the same thing, blueberry pancakes, which were stellar!) I would go there again with pleasure!

The food is very yummy!!! The first time, I had a tuna melt (if you love tuna, you will love this sandwich) while my boyfriend tried the Club sandwich and my tummy was happy and the food kept me full for a while :) The service for the delivery was very efficient and when I went the second time to eat inside, the service was very nice and quick :) I got the Chicken Pesto Crepe and :D Plus there is a beach nearby and that's what my boyfriend and I did to relax. I plan to go there soon!!!

Horrible service - staff at the counter ignores you, we waited in the short line (about five people) for 30 full minutes and then another 20 for the food. Food was ok (except for the fish tacos, which were subpar), but not good enough to make up for the wait

This is a nice breakfast spot. The staff are so friendly and polite, it was noticeable. Ordered the breakfast burrito, it was perfection. The bagel with tomato, onion and basil was so good. The bagel was super fresh, and the ingredients were also very fresh and food was presented in a nice way...definetly not just thrown together. The fresh OJ was the best I have ever had. I will be back, good job High Tide!

I have no real problem with this place. It does some pretty clean food without much fuss. Prices for omelettes and crepes are very fairly priced, and service is quick. I really love their home fries because they're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Nice touch. The only thing is that you have to wait for your food for quite a while, especially when there's no one there. Not a big deal though because you can just enjoy the view and hang out with a friend. Not a place for days when it's super foggy, but when it's sunny and warm, yum.

Came in today to check this place out and see if they had chai and they did! I've had better Chai before, but overall it was okay, nothing to really rave about. I also had the greens salad with vinaigrette dressing + added chicken and it was a little disappointing. I think the salad itself was fresh, but unfortunately it was drowned out by an avalanche amount of dressing. They seriously put waaaaaaaay too much on there and I had to ask for extra lettuce to compensate for it. I basically sifted through my salad picking out what I could eat. I left about half of my salad on the plate and I'll say I wasn't too excited about it. So in the future if you order a salad ask for the dressing on the side. My husband had salmon bacon cream cheese crepe with a small salad and he said it tasted okay. In all honesty I'd normally rate an experience like this 2 stars, because the food was meh. On the other hand the staff is friendly and accommodating so I don't mind giving High Tide another try. Maybe when I come back I'll have a better food experience.

High Tide is where I take guests who come to visit. Their savory crepes always are a hit and we tend to share a dessert crepe with the table. I understand those that give negative stars to the service. It can be spotty, especially when they are training new people. But I give them some slack because the food is always great.

Call me simple, but sometimes I just want a crepe with a bunch of jack cheese and mushrooms. So, I ordered the basic crepe and substituted the cheddar cheese for jack cheese and added mushrooms, which cost me $7.90 (with tax, $8.55). After giving it some more thought, I might have been better off getting the Florentine crepe minus the cottage cheese and kept the spinach to make myself eat some healthy for an extra dollar, $8.95 (without tax). Anyway, other than my problems with their pricing, they skimp on the cheese. My jack cheese and mushrooms crepe had maybe a sprinkle (maybe about 3 tiny pinches of cheese, see picture). I will admit, however, for the lactose intolerant this cheese skimping may make this place tolerable since the mushrooms were plentiful and flavorful. They not only skimp on the cheese on the crepes, but they also skimp on the cheese in the omelettes. My husband didn't even remember his omelette included cheese until his last bite, when he came across a clump, which was about a forkful. I ate here when they first opened, and wasn't too impressed, but I decided to give them one more try since they had such high reviews on Yelp, and figured they must have worked out their kinks. Sadly, I was wrong. People in Pacifica must be desperate for a crepery. Cafe Grillades in San Bruno or Crepevine any day. The drive is worth it.

On the way down the PCH from SF and spotted this brunch place. Got the surfs up omelette - very good, the chicken sausage was a nice spin, it was delicious. Others got the fresh squeezed orange juice - amazing - but a little pricy at $5. Crepes got great reviews all around the table. Highly recommended!

Meh! I used to like this place but they fail to listen if you order anything in a particular way. Call me fussy but I like my salad dressing on the side, and my fries extra crispy. Yet, when I ask, I never ever get. I just got more and more frustrated with this place to the point that I'll never go back. Also, have they ever tasted their tuna that goes in the tuna melts? Blech!!

Who doesn't like crepes? Communists, that's who. This is a great little place tucked away next to the Fresh & Easy supermarket in Pacifica. We stopped in for an early supper a few weeks ago and had a great experience. The food is delicious and fresh, the portions are more than adequate, the service is very friendly (and fast!) and the restaurant is nice & clean. Oh, and prices are reasonable. We plan on coming back sometime soon for brunch!

** 3.5 stars ** I walked into this place and thought I walked into a Crepevine, the menu was almost identical to a Crepevine menu, chalkboard and all. I ordered an egg, potatoes, and chicken apple sausage. The food was good (not as good as Crepevine, but still good). My husband had a sandwich and french toast, I assume he liked it as he didn't leave any crumbs behind. Service was a bit on the slower side. Prices are reasonable. Parking was easy. This place is sord of small, so I am sure during prime meal times there is a bit of a wait for a table.

Found this place on yelp while driving down the 1. But had to add my review to make sure yelp is accurate. Walked in with 2 buddies, we all ordered food then sat down. Waited for our food for 20 minutes. The first guys order didn't show up. Apparently they left it at the front because he said to go. The 2nd guys food shows up and no problem but the 3rd doesn't. I start noticing people who ordered after me get their food so I go up to the front and question. The order was never placed even though I paid already. He starts telling the cook to start the order but I tell him to cancel it because I don't want to make my buddies wait. Manager gives me an arrogant look and lucky the guy behind the bar is nice enough to be like. Just give him his money back. I go back to the table and notice he only refunded me for the omelet and not the coffee. Which had been sitting there so I can enjoy it with my breakfast. I go back up to the front and ask for my money back the manager again gives me a dirty look and says "but you already drank it" the guy behind the bar interrupts and again says just give him the refund and tells him what I had. Nobody's perfect. Maybe the dude behind the bar should give the manager a Customer Service 101 class. Because he at least knows how to communicate with people. You made the mistake as a business. And you should have apologized for the mistake not just give me the money so I leave and don't say anything in front of your future customers.

The crepe with strawberries and nutella is phenomenal! It made a perfect breakfast for two and who doesn't enjoy ice cream for breakfast. The staff was friendly and very chatty. They even brought our dog some water since it was a hot day and we were sitting outside.

filling meals after day in pacifica. Their menu is customizable and include kids option too. Prices are fair in $9-12 range for an entree meal. They also have outdoor seating in front and in a back. Since I am from SF area, I get spoiled with all organic ingredients that this place lucks. But overall, it is a nice choice close to beach

This neighborhood hidden gem was a delight. You place your order at a counter, find a table and it is served to you there. This is a very casual, local's place with a fun, funky vibe and a line out the door on this Sunday. Fabulous food and family feel. My banana pancakes were the best ever. My orange juice was fresh squeezed right at the counter and arrived in a large 12oz glass! My husband's omelette was wonderful. The portions are generous and could be shared. I highly recommend this out of the way gem!

In the past the food here was hit and miss, then one day there was a pile of thick black hairs underneath my sandwich when I picked it up to take a bite. I realize that this could have been a one time problem, but I was mortified at the oversight. Haven't been back since.

My first time at High Tide was with one of my best friends and her mom. We decided to grab some brunch after a movie matinee and her mom suggested High Tide. High Tide is a cozy little brunch spot right by the beach and the Linda Mar shopping center. It definitely attracts a lot of locals and visitors to Pacifica. It's located in a small shopping center with some other local shops. Their menu reminds me a lot of Squat & Gobble or Crepevine, both of which I'm a fan of, so just know that there is tons to pick from. I decided on a veggie omelette and I substituted the bread for fruit. The food was very fresh and the omelette definitely hit the spot. Service was kind and efficient - someone always came by to make sure we had enough water and whatever else we needed. If you are in Pacifica and needing a bite to eat, High Tide definitely hits the spot!

Jack and I usually split the combo which is 2 eggs, 2 chicken apple sausage and 2 pancakes. We add an order of home style potatoes and we are stuffed. Sometimes the potatoes are cooked perfectly so ask for them crispy if you like them that way. We also enjoy their mocha and their orange and carrot juice is excellent! It can get busy on nice weekends so be prepared to wait.

My boyfriend and I often dine at High Tide Café as well as many of our local friends and friends who visit from out of town. High Tide Café & Crepery is the place we always treat them to. So when our dear friend, asked us if we knew of a restaurant that he could host his 86th birthday party at, we convinced him that High Tides might just be the place! Our server that afternoon gave us a brochure and pointed out the phone number on the back and told him to ask for the manager. Approximately one month ago, we had made the reservation for the use of the back patio for July 5 at 2PM. The reservations were made with the wife of the owner. She assured them, even after they asked - many times -- about a deposit or rental charge that there was none and that the patio has an occupancy rate of 40 people. When they told her that there would be anywhere from 20-40 people, she said not to worry, that it would be fine and they would have the entire patio. The morning of the party, we phoned the restaurant and asked if we could bring our guitars to sing for the birthday man as he had requested. The staff on the phone told us they were not even AWARE the room had been reserved and we had to tell them to check the Master Calendar of which they then told us that no, it wouldn't be possible as it might bother the other diners on the patio. Then I was told that the room HADN'T been reserved and other diners could sit there as well. So knowing that the party was less than 2 hours away and many birthday guests would be arriving there soon, my boyfriend and I drove to the restaurant to get this straightened out. It was packed and absolutely no diners were in the back patio as there was a "Closed" sign on the door, even though one server told us that they always open the back patio on the weekends. Strange. There have been other weekends we have dined at High Tide and the back patio has always been closed, even when we asked about sitting there. We were told that there weren't enough servers. Needless to say, we were thinking this is very unprofessional and asked what it would take to get the room reserved. We were first told we could pay a $50 deposit. Then after looking at the room, the rate went up to $60. Strange again. Not wanting to disappoint o9ur birthday man and all his guests arriving from out of town, we paid the $60 in cash, as they had requested. At 1:30 when we got there to set up the decorations, there were tons and tons of flies! It was humid in the room and the flies seemed to love it. When we asked the attendant if there were any fly traps, he said no, there wasn't so not wanting our guests to feel like they were being bombarded - which they were as I watched one man getting attacked by 2 flies as he stood there talking to us - my boyfriend and a guest walked over to Ace Hardware and purchased a fly swatter and two different fly traps. They helped somewhat but not enough so we opened the back door which helped cool the room down a bit and gave the flies somewhere else to escape to. On top of us,having to provide a decent atmosphere without tons of flies for our guests and all the food which would be served, the server there swatted the flies with his dirty dish towel on the tables that had already been set, not even wiping them down afterwards. With all the flies, it was a huge health violation and eating outside with a small fraction of the flies would have been more sanitary than what we had experienced there. I'd recommend that for future room rentals they: 1. Clearly communicate the guidelines/rental deposits with the person wanting the rental and ALSO with the rest of your staff so there's no misunderstanding. 2. Have a physical document when renting their space. 3. Do something about those nasty, unsanitary flies in the back patio. 4. Deposits are different from rentals. Deposits are always returned. We never received any money back. The next business day, the man whose party it was went to try to straighten out the deposit situation and was told by one of their staff that the $60 was for the difference of the food bill as he paid $360 for all the guests' meals and apparently, the $60 was for the remaining balance of the $400 rental. (WHAT RENTAL???) Well, my math isn't always that good, but I DO know that $400 minus $360 equals $40 - NOT $60. Strange again! The explanations just keep getting stranger. First we're told there is NO Rental fee or Deposit and then all of a sudden, there's a $400 rental fee. This entire experience has left a really bad taste in our mouths. It was done extremely unprofessionally. We are very disappointed that one of our favorite restaurants has let us down and we don't plan on ever eating here again. We've already convinced our friends who have frequented this restaurant not to return. It's really, really unfortunate that a profession can be so irresponsible as this.

Been here pretty regularly over the last year. Review is way overdue. It's my go to place after surfing at the nearby beach and my problem here is I always want to eat everything on the menu. Be it the breakfast combo, burgers, or pancakes, everything I've had here hits the spot. Strangely enough, while the good is great, it's the drinks that turn this place into a real gem. Get the fresh squeezed orange juice or the peach Italian soda!

The service here was absolutely terrible. We asked for a towel when my daughter spilled her water and they never brought it. My sons chocolate milk was served in a dirty glass and when we had to take it to the front to be replaced because we hadn't seen a waiter in 10 mins, the guy at the front rolled his eyes and never brought a new glass. When our food came out we asked for an extra plate they never brought as well. There were two guys bussing and serving and it was just not enough. They needed some help.

very nice people. very good coffee. service & food are abominable, though: I got a caprise panini to go, took 25 min to get it. and when I did get it, it's not even a caprise panini. they put lettuce instead of basil. & there's french dressing & some strange cheese that is clearly not mozzarella. only reason they don't get one star is because they were so nice.

Yum! Whether it's the strawberry, Nutella crepes or the veggie sandwich, start to finish this place rocks! It's fresh, the service is great, very friendly staff, great atmosphere and a nice selection of fresh food made right. Again, YUM!

The portions were generous for our crepes (The Chicken Pesto Crepe and the Italian Crepe), with a side salad, breakfast potatoes, and very large and stuffed crepes. However, the potatoes weren't very good, the salad was soaked in vinaigrette, and the crepe was mediocre.

I usually don't think of going to High Tide as I don't really like crepes, but it is a go-to for a lot of my P-town friends and they have much more than crepes on their menu. The breakfast burrito is legit, I added avocado and sub'd the chicken apple sausage with bacon the second time I had it and it was excellent. My friends had the sweet crepe with nutella and strawberries, the french toast, and the surf's up omelette. Everything was very good, we all took bites of each others, but I'm partial to the b-burrit. I had their fresh OJ, very refreshing, and my friend got the raspberry mocha and they did latte art on top which gave it a special touch. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating. I like that they have not one, not two, but three different hot sauces on the table so you don't even have to ask. You also get a healthy side of house potatoes with each dish. One thing I will say that was pretty annoying was when I went for breakfast with my mom and sister and ordered the breakfast burrito, I asked for the English muffin with my meal, and the dude I ordered from tried to explain to me that toast doesn't come with that meal. Except it clearly says it does on the menu. Not that big of a deal, but come on, guy, you work there and you don't know the menu? And that's such a simple thing. And no, ladies and germs, he wasn't new, I had ordered from him in the past. Either way, great location and atmosphere. A nice little gem of Pacifica and right next to Linda Mar Beach so you can walk off your food and enjoy the sights.

II have previously gone here for tea on my way to Fresh and Easy, but I was having a house guest stay and she wanted to see the beach and I was hungry so my partner suggested that we eat here and walk down to the beach afterwards. I am gluten free so going to restaurants is sometimes a bit of a challenge. I was really craving lox and I asked for a no bagel- Bagel with lox sandwich. The older lady at the counter was quite nice and said "Honey you can have your food any way you like" That impressed me cause normally people look at me cross eyed when I try to explain that I am gluten intolerant. I loved the way they were happy to make it just the way I wanted (See picture I uploaded for the business). They gave a very hearty portion of lox and stacked everything in a nice presentation. I was very much a happy panda and will be back. Also of note that impressed me was 2 of us ordred tea and we each got our own large tea pot so that that didn't have to ask for refills. IMpressive!!!!

After hearing good things about High Tide from my helpful Yelp friends, we finally stopped in here for breakfast. The cafe is cute and clean, and they offer a huge variety for such a small place. The banana pancakes called out to me. I'm not too successful in making them at home on my crummy griddle pan. The ones at High Tide were thick, fluffy and delicious. One order could easily feed two people. My daughter had the kid's size pancakes, which was also more than she could eat. Lucky for us, my husband helped us (almost!) finish all those pancakes. The lunch and crepe menus also look good, so I plan on coming back for a midday meal soon.

(See pics) Review #1230. Just like most crepe places with a solid menu, but it is very close to the ocean (not direct but only a short walk.) It is great to sit in the back open top area, the front in the shade with your pets, or even just inside the restaurant area. This can easily be a good place to stop by in Pacifica for a good bite while enjoying some great weather and water!

I really wanted to like this place. Hubby and I ordered take out. You would think because they have creperie in their name that they'd be good and consistent in making crepes. NOT THE CASE!! My husbands was perfecting cooked while mine on the other hand was beyond burnt, it was black! It ruined my close to $10 meal in which I only got to eat the filling, the outer edges of my crepe, somewhat stale fries, the nice lightly dressed salad. Speaking of the filling, I ordered the Italian crepe there's supposed to be a bit of everything but somehow I got a little bit of everything and a ton of red peppers. Service was decent and fast, I'll give them that, I don't know if this place is worth trying again since I'm a bit wary of getting served burnt crepes again.

Eh. I wanted to like this place to support a local business. Husband ordered the chicken pesto crepe - it was loaded with pesto, gooey cheese and chicken. That makes up all three stars. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich. The bun was their attempt at whole wheat - limp, soggy, bland. The "pesto" was a total of 1/4 of a teaspoon and added zero flavor. I ended up taking excess pesto off my husband's crepe and adding it to mine. The chicken and cheese were fine. Now onto the salad: fresh lettuce - good, 10 lbs of a super vinegary salad dressing - all mouth puckering bad. I also had french fries. All ten of them were good. That's right - 10. Including the broken and small pieces. The table next to us ordered pancakes and they looked like fluffy pillows from heaven. They also had another order totally screwed up and their server immediately went back to the kitchen to have the issue fixed. Next time I'm ordering pancakes or a crepe. Nothing else looked good. Finally, I don't think it's necessary to put "please do not play with sugar packets" on your sugar container. Aren't you just asking for HS kids to make a mess? It looks ridiculous and makes me wonder what kind of establishment I'm at.

READERS DIGEST VERSION: They nickle-and-dime you so the prices end up a bit high. The sandwich i ordered did not come with the extra cost cheese that I ordered and when the cheese was brought to me it was moldy. The sandwich was re-made with more moldy cheese. Try another spot. FULL VERSION: Just went there a couple days ago and didn't have the best experience. I ordered a turkey club and asked to sub mayo for pesto. This cost me 95 cents. I was then asked what kind of cheese I wanted; I went with pepper jack. Apparently sandwiches do not come with cheese so another 95 cents. I now have a $12 club sandwich. A similar story unraveled when my friend ordered a Greek salad and the cashier asked what kind of meat he wanted. My buddy said, "i didn't know it came with any", and the cashier nodded. My buddy asked for the salmon and was surprised later that it cost another $4. When my sandwich arrived I took a few bites before realizing that the cheese that i paid extra for was not inside, so I asked for some. An employee arrived shortly thereafter with a plate with two slices of pepper jack which i put in the sandwich and continued eating. That is until I noticed that the cheese was moldy. I was pretty mad at this point, so I walked upfront and told the cashier what the issue was and did not hide my emotion about it. He apologized and told me that I would get another sandwich right away. When he brought my new sandwich he offered to refill my beer which I accepted. While he was refilling my beer, I checked my sandwich and found that the cheese was yet again moldy. At this point I was over the whole thing so i decided not to even mention it and picked the moldy bits out and ate it, knowing that I would write this review in the following days. All and all the cashier (who I assume was the manager) wasn't at fault and did a good job dealing with the situation, but there is something wrong with the place's communication and food inventory. Also the prices look reasonable until they tack on little charged for things that are normally included. P.S. Having labels on your sugar packet holders saying, "please do not play with sugar packets" is tacky, looks cheap, and does not deter people from doing just that. If anything it enticed me to do it.

I think it was about high time that I made it over to High Tide and stuffed my face with a crepe.. (did that ryhyme? awww) A solid 3.5 stars for a whole group of hungry hikers who just conquered Montara Mtn's North Peak!!! We both arrived early of the 10 who were to come... my friend ordered a pacific salmon savory crepe, and myself the florentine. Both came out so quickly, with a decent portion, and the crepe was nice and spongy, with those nice charred brown buttered edges. Oh yeah.... On top of it, they serve breakfast all day (someone did order an omelette) and that pumpkin spiced latte that I just could not resist for dessert..we sat and laughed our hearts out... so much so that others were loking our way (bet they wanted to order what we were having!). Food is surprisingly decent for a small strip mall of a little place like Linda Mar. Prices are going to run about $8-10 for a crepe...menu is surprisingly large and food comes out quickly. A plus! A hungry buncha hippos were we....fun times =)

Whenever I'm in town I always stop by High Tide. It's really close to where I stay, it's right next to the beach, and they're open all day which makes it a great spot to stop in real quick. Their food selection is really good; they have things which accommodate meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, and I think the prices are fair. I like that I can grab coffee to go or a bagel on the run and cruise up to the city. Based on the 10 times or so I've been there, I've found the food to be consistently good. The only problem is the service-- it's really hit or miss. You order and pay at the counter, take a number, and when your food is ready it's brought out. Sometimes someone will come around and clear empty plates off the table, offer coffee refills, or ask how the food is, and other times you're on your own to track down an employee or wait in line again.

The boy and I stopped by here when, on a whim, I decided I was craving a crepe. Yelp said this was the nearest one to our current location [..on the freeway], so we made a detour and stopped by. I liked the vibe of the place - it's a step [or two] above a "surfer shack," but it still has that chill vibe going on. The staff seemed nice enough - my water glass was never empty, which is a plus. I was really happy with my crepe! Just a simple chocolate&nutella one was slightly under $5, which I thought reasonable. Portion wasn't too overwhelmingly huge, which was nice for a change. The boy&I saw other peoples' foods being brought out to them and... everything looked so yummy! So we're definitely going to have to stop by again for lunch or something sometime soon! :) I give them 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up because.. well I hope their main courses are as good as the crepes :]!

Terrible service, took about 45 minutes to get our food. Several people who ordered after us got their food before us. Ordered salmon burger, with filet not patty and I got a salmon sushi burger - raw in the middle. Came with 10 fries and a half plate of lettuce. Over priced, bad service, and less than mediocre food. Maybe you'll have a better experience but I won't be going back

I got food to go from this place and ordered the steak and eggs.....when I got home the eggs were missing! I called to let them know they forgot it and their only casual suggestion was for me to come back and pick it up. I had picked this up on my way home and live too far away to drive back for some eggs. They could have offered to give me a discount on my next order or something similar but instead they have lost a customer. (I did pay for something I didn't receive!). I drive by this place everyday on my way to/from work and will go out of my way to avoid it. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. What they are really lacking is customer service skills!

Went for breakfast today. It was our first time here. After we ordered and paid. .. waited a long time for our food to come. Waiter came and asked us again what we ordered and said"oh yeah it's coming". Saw 3 other tables that came in 20 min after us get their food. . But ours was still MIA. Finally it comes(another 15 to 20 min after the waiter asked us). ... And mine was incomplete. ... asked the waitress and she just said. ..oh... took my plate out again to come back 10 min after. .... With my food cold. .. my pancakes hard and cold as a hockey puck. ... my husband ordered steak and eggs. Got very cold steak that was very tough by this time... But at this time he was already pissed off.... asked for steak sauce and was given an empty bottle. .. tried to get the attention of the waiters that kept passing by our table... But they won't even stop. I think they are over rated...horrible. .. horrible pancakes..Their service is atrocious. Their orange carrot juice kept separating in consistency. ... Had to get my own straw. .. To keep mixing it. Never coming back here again. . . And would not recommend it to anyone.

I wonder what elements in the universe collected around our recent trip to the High Tide that made such a difference. Maybe a lovely, sunny day and our decision to eat outside plus a really nice adjunct servers? Maybe I'm your garden variety American who chafes at too many infringements on my effing personal liberty - and signs telling me where I'm qualified to sit feel insulting. Maybe, even though I respect servers, I expect them to cater to me within reason because that's their job - and I ALWAYS tip 20% for adequate service - and sometimes more for exceptional service. Maybe I'm becoming intolerant of small, noisy children and irresponsible parents. Well, I was quite happily pleased in all those areas last weekend as well as food quality. Even the formerly grumpy server smiled at us. :) My salad was fresh, and the service personnel came by checking coffee levels, clearing used plates ...and they were all very nice. It's almost like the crew had had a pep talk or something. I appreciated that I felt welcomed rather than a problem to be endured. Way to go. I plan to try the inside again in the next week or two. (If some seating rules or behavioral modification suggestions are peeled off ... I'm pre-pleading the fifth ;)

I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese, and they served it to me burnt. It was kind of surprising, because it was black - so it's not like I was going to miss that. The crepes were ok. Kids loved the hot chocolates. We won't go back though, the burned bagel was a sign to me that they don't have the basics down.

High Tide has been a favorite local place for breakfast and lunch but I'm disappointed to say the last two times I have received terrible service Just this past Monday a friend and I went in for a mid-morning breakfast. Our food was slow getting to the table and the wait staff didn't check with us even once after our food arrived. We had to track down multiple employees for coffee and water refills. After asking several times for refills our drinks finally arrived AFTER we were already done with our meal. Round two... we called just about a half hour ago to place a pick-up order and were put on a "short hold" that lasted over 15 minutes. We hung up and tried to call back but weren't able to get through because the phone was off the hook. We finally gave up on the phone and went in to place a to-go order when we notified them their phone was off the hook and that we were put on hold for so long the waitress was rudely abrupt. The food is pretty but they need to work on their service BIG time.

I've had a few mediocre visits here without updating you so I'll give you what I've unfortunately started to see here. The service here has slowed down considerably since I started coming here. And Sunday afternoon, after most of the lunch crowd should have dissipated, we had not one but two really poor dishes that were caused by this. After nearly 1/2 hour of waiting for their normally very good Chicken pesto sandwich with house fries and the fish taco platter, we were served with a tepid dry chicken breast, cold fish and less-than-fresh greens. Our front deck table was never wiped down or bused, we had to ask one of the few-and-far-between waiters to check on our order and yet neither he or anyone else came to check on the quality of our dishes. If they did, they would have realized that the dishes had been sitting out for too long and we could have sent them back. The prior time I had a dry Coastside burger that clearly was not prepared well and served promptly. When they do get it right (e.g. the crepes) it can be excellent, but lately, their service has impacted the quality of their food preparation to where I am hesitant now to recommend them. They are, at this point, hit or miss.

Too bad. Didn't even get a chance to try the food. Yes we went in on a Sunday. Yes it was busy. We waited for 20 minutes while the staff at the front argued with a customer over a coffee order. Kept the entire line waiting. Heres a Tip guys: seriously, just tell her sorry and give her the $2 difference. Yes she was nuts but it was unprofessional. Then when we get to order he decides to tell us it'll take at least 30 minutes for food. What a pity. Food might be great but the staff seemed out of their league. Not personal guys just take a lesson from a busy restaurant on a Friday night. Watch how they handle customers even the crazy ones. Good luck

I was so unimpressed with this place. The ladies behind the counter kind of had an attitude. We were standing in front of the register waiting to order and they didn't so much as look at us or acknowledge us. I mean I understand they were taking care of other customers' orders, but a little "I'll be right with you" or something to that effect would have been nice. They hardly cracked a smile. My husband had water and they didn't even give it to him when they brought out my iced tea. He had to go up and ask for it and even when he did he was standing there waiting for a few minutes before they could even give it to him. Meanwhile, I heard the same lady who took our order ask the people next to us about their drinks and she brought all their drinks out, even the water that one of the customers asked for. Why for them and not for us? The food was meh. I had the Sunrise and my husband had the Pacific. I can't speak for my husband but my Sunrise was really bland. They were pretty stingy with the home potatoes too.

I find this place to be like a hidden gem in my eyes. I am a big crepe lover. I have had them from a lot of different places, but I find from here you get the best bang for your buck. The flavors are all there, and if your like me and can't eat cheese and other things, these crepes still hold up to the favor without the dairy products that should be laying within. The girls up at the counter always have a smile when you walk in, and if you don't know what you want and have questions they always have a good answer to the item that you are asking on. ((Knowledge is power.)) They have beer and wine so if your like me and with dinner with love a little bit wine they make it happen at around 7.00 for a glass. The one thing that I find neat that I haven't gotten at other places with my crepe is that it comes with a salad and fries or home potatoes, i always go with the home style potatoes, ((Pretty darn yummy)) They have so many other items on the menu that i have yet to try, but shall be trying at least everything there once. :)

Pretty much one of the only places in Pacifica I like going to eat at. I've eaten breakfast and lunch here and I've liked everything I've ordered. The chicken pesto sandwich is really tasty and the portions are great. I love to get the nutella and banana crepes for breakfast, and yes I get it with ice cream...even at 8am! The rosemary potatoes are delicious, especially when they are hot and crispy! There is a nice back patio area on nice days, and it's a nice place to grab lunch and catch up with a friend!

The food here is outstanding and the staff really go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. I would have given it a 5 star except that their ordering is a train wreck. They need a separate register for to go orders. You wait patiently while order after order comes in on top of you either on the phone or in person.

Ordered at the counter and grabbed a number before sitting down. Had the $7.95 "Low Tide"=scrambled eggs w/tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions & cheddar cheese ( yelp.com/biz_photos/pYhY… ). That was combined with a $3.25 large fresh squeezed carrot juice. Was pretty stuffed from all that food! JCP brought her friend Mel and I here to try the place because, well, she's cool like that. Since this was one of her regular hangouts, the owners sent over a couple of sweet crepes: the green Granny Smith apples & cheese crepe ( yelp.com/biz_photos/pYhY… ) was awesome, what with the sweet and slight tanginess of the green apples. The Nutella & Bananas crepe ( yelp.com/biz_photos/pYhY… ) was good too and is a safe choice. Thought I was full, but apparently not. This place still looks relatively new. The cushioned bench seat, the roomy space ( yelp.com/biz_photos/pYhY… ) and the art mural/pieces give the entire place a nice comfy feel. Note: the spelling on the to-go menu was "Crepery".

I have usually had a good time at High Tides, but my last few visits were No Bueno! My husband, daughter (2) and I went to high tides for Mother's Day. I expected it to be busy. But I was surprised when we only waited in line for 10 minutes, ordered, paid, and got our number. Wow! This is going quick. I was really looking forward to this fast service to continue. Boy, was I wrong! About 5 minutes after sitting down I got my mimosa. Then silverware. I'm thinking the food should be out soon...yay! WRONG! We sat for 30 minutes, noticed that the family in line before us hasn't been served yet. Ok, the kitchen is backed up, understandable. That family receives their food. They eat and leave. It's now been 45 minutes. I catch eyes with a server...he rushes over with another mimosa. "I'm sorry the food is taking so long. It will be out soon." Ok, they noticed us waiting, they haven't forgot about us, we can wait a bit longer. Now an hour has passed, no food. I ask the folks at the front what's going on...."it's on it's way". This continues for quite a while. We finally reached 1hr and 25mins. My 2 year old is restless. She's hungry and upset. I go up to the counter again. I explain that we've been waiting for so long. Is our food in the window? Did you loose our ticket? Is it on the way? 2 minutes? Or 20 minutes? Every question was answered with "they working on it". My husband and I worked in restaurants for years (15 for him, 5 for me). Mistakes happen. If the ticket was lost, that's ok. Tell me!!! Ask to see my ticket or what my order was....and RUSH IT!! That's what I would have done. Mistakes happen, people forget, etc....explain what happened, don't leave your hungry patrons waiting for an hour and a half with a cranky baby. I finally asked for a refund. I wanted to leave. My ticket was taken, looked up in their computer, was handed my money....and that's it. No apology, no eye contact, nothing. I also left a tip on my credit card slip when I originally paid, I didn't get that back. $4 and 1.5 hours of my Mother's Day with nothing to show for it :( In conclusion, I gave this restaurant 3 stars because I really enjoy their food...when I get served! I think they should invest in a POS system for their kitchen, so tickets will be electronic and not get lost. I wish the customer service was better. i think I will only order to-go if I decide return. **Every to-go order has been great**

I do like this place but last time I found a rubber band in my crepe so now I can't muscle through the gag factor to come back.

Cute little place. Really good food but way overpriced. I get a chicken sandwich that comes with potatoes and a side salad for ten bucks kinda pricy if you ask me. All in all good place to eat and it's dog friendly.

A friend and I made the short drive to Pacific this past weekend for some coffee and crepes at High Tide Restaurant. This little shop is perfectly located near the water--right beside a beach and some good little hiking trails. The crepes are big enough to split if you and a friend wanted to share. We almost split one, but there were so many options that we decided to each order our own. I took half of mine home with all of the potatoes. I ordered the Florentine Crepe, which includes spinach, mushrooms, glazed onions Jack & cottage cheese. The crepes are served with fries or potatoes and a small side salad. The Florentine crepe was pretty good. I wasn't blown away. I probably should have created my own to include some salty feta or something. I felt like it was missing something. It was enjoyable. Also, the wait staff works really well together. The place was super busy, and they were really good at being on their toes and making sure that every table was taken care of. I definitely enjoyed it, and I will be returning to create my own crepe or taste another creation.

This awesome gem is worth finding. Inexpensive, but incredible food. Fun, informal murals on the walls, and a very nice outdoor dining area if the weather happens to be nice. I had the fish tacos, which were excellent, and more filling than usual, as the order came with three! The hamburgers, crepes and pasta that others ordered all looked yummy. Crowded on the weekends, definitely a favorite with the locals.

My first time into this restaurant on Labor Day: went with my family as we didn't want to do the traditional hamburgers and hot dogs. I was really, really pleasantly surprised - the food was very good quality (and a lot of it) and the variety on the menu was really, really good. Also a pleasant surprise was the quality of the coffee - excellent. And hot! Is this place perfect? No - the system of ordering food at the counter and then taking a seat means long lines at the door waiting to be served (as opposed to waiting for a table). And we were unlucky in that some of the patrons at another table were extremely loud in their conversation (and it echoed unflatteringly in the back seating area). But overall, my family and I were really pleased we came here. A pleasant, if unexpected, surprise.

This place is great and owned my the sweetest people. My friends and I go here as our little stop to half moon bay. The one order that I do highly recommend is the pacific crepe. With the combination of smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, spinach and red onions the flavors in this makes you wanting more.

Two stars was for the friendliness of the employees. And for how kindly they gave me a refund due to: Mayo on both of our sandwiches though we clearly said to omit Cold food Burger and steak undercooked. Steak filled with fat. Stale buns My glass had some kind of gooey substance on the side These folks need another cook and some kind of plan to keep the food warm. Also the noise from the espresso machine is probably causing many mistakes - TOO LOUD. I won't be back

I was craving crepes so I ordered the chicken with pesto crepe with a side of potatoes and salad and fresh-squeezed orange juice. It was pretty good. The pesto was a little inconsistently spread on the inside of the crepe but that's ok. There was plenty to spread around. Service was ok. The server checked up on us. I'll come back for dessert crepe or breakfast.

Food is always good, mimosas are nice. Last time I was there the service was super slow, not enough staff and they barely seemed to care that there was a line out the door while they counted tips.

  • Kapoho T.

Went here for the first time on a very busy Sunday. The line wan out the door so I figured it must be a good place, can't beat the location right next to the beach. The menu is quite extensive, if a bit pricey. The ingredients are fresh and they give you decent portions. The place was a bit understaffed, we ended up bussing a table ourselves just to sit down. The line out the door was because the cashier was working a bit slow, socializing and we later noticed them slowly counting out tips while the line of 15 people was out the door. Customer service needed a bit of work.

Crummy cranky service. Great concept with an interesting menu but they need to learn to use a salt shaker or herbs. The sunrise crepe sounded interesting but was boring as hell. The potatoes were crispy but again, no salt. The straw that broke the camels back was when I spilled my OJ and when I asked for extra napkins to wipe it up I was handed a rag to mop up and summarily ignored by the guy at the counter.

I was visiting this area and went to this restaurant for brunch. The veggie omelet was good, but the potatoes that came as a side were even better!!! Unlike other fried potatoes, it was very crispy and seasoned well. The portions were very big, so I couldn't finish the whole plate, but I had a very good experience here!

Yay! I love the food at this place! I always get crepes, or the High Tide Salad, (it's delicious!). The salad itself is so flavorful, and I like how unique it is. It's a pretty big portion as well. The entire place is cute, and I like that you can sit outside on a nice day. It's also near the beach so that's a plus, and it's pretty quiet. The staff lacks enthusiasm, though. Of the times I've gone, the staff have always seemed less-than-thrilled to be working. But, whatever, I still go because I like the food.

I have been coming here since they opened a few years ago. It is walk up ordering with service at the tables after you've sat down. The furniture is modern with stand-alone tables and chairs. Some tables have a half-booth seat that runs the length of the wall. They also have a few tables outside for when the weather is nice. It is located right next to the beach, so you can go walk the beach before or after, if you choose. Breakfast is served all day and they have a wide variety of lunch selections on their menu. I've never had dinner here so I couldn't tell you if they are even open that late. Today I ordered the chicken pesto crepe. It was really good & very filling. Usually I have breakfast but the tide was later in the day, so I had time before I went surfing. This is a local, family-run place with very good food for decent prices. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. I'll definitely be going back.

The menu is eerily similar to Squat&Gobble's, and was pretty darn good: I had the fish tacos and they were great, even though I am not a fan of flour tortillas, they use the 1corn + 1flour tortilla duo, so it wasn't bad. It had a nice spice to it and the portions were good.

I would like to start off by saying this is a great place to eat. I have been here for brunch many times. The food is delicious, the coffee is good also. They have picked up the pace with bussing tables and refilling coffee which is something that has changed for the better. The crepes are really good. The side potatoes and side salads that come with some meals are very tasty. Great little spot in Pacifica!

Overpriced for over cooked pasta and mediocre salad. We had to ask for another plate because it had sauce on them. Now we're looking at birds overcrowding the plates left outside. Basically it just does the job of dissipating your hunger.

My wife and I have been going here since they opened and our experience last night was the nail in the coffin and we will no longer go here. We have eaten here over 20 times and it has been a steady decline. Last night I had the spaghetti and meatballs which consisted of overdone noodles in a "so called" red sauce that tasted like watered down (due to no caring if the noodles were strained) chef boyardee. They gave me garlic bread that had to have been 2 week old bread they retoasted because it was so tough I could barely rip or bite into. Onto my wife's meal. She had the Caesar salad with salmon. The salad was old and limp flavorless. The dressing tasted like they watered it down to save money and the piece of salmon was so tiny and flavorless. Everyone has there limits and ours was met and to top off our atrocious food this wonderful meal which half was thrown out cost $25 dollars.

My friend and I stopped in for a latte and crepe here a little while ago and had a great meal. The apple cheddar crepe sounded funky, but the guy taking our order said it would be good, and indeed it was! They make a good latte, and the food came out pretty quickly. The service was good, and the outside seating area is perfect. With so many options on the menu, it's hard not to find something you'll want. I'd hit this place again.

I was so excited to try out this new crepe place, but to my shock the customer service ruined my excitement! When I walked in (with my group of four) we were never greeted, while standing right in front of the two ladies that work the register and no one was there!! They had no excuse to not make eye contact or make us feel welcomed. That was our first time there and they didn't care.. After 10 mins I just decided to say hello first and place our order. I'll have to say the younger lady actually smiled and didn't seem like she had a stick up her a** like the older one did... We ordered three crepes which came quick: Pacifica (w/smoked salmon, capers, spinach & cream cheese) was a good combination but a bit salty. I will try the fresh salmon next time. The other crepes had strawberries, bananas, nutella, whip cream & ice cream They were delish!! :) Great house coffee and I should know my sister owns a coffee shop! The hot chocolate for $3 was laking flavor and tasted like it was just water and chocolate syrup.. I've had better at my child's high school cafeteria! I walked it up just to kindly ask for more chocolate flavoring for my daughter (or whatever they use) and I just stood at the register while the same two ladies just ignored me-no eye contact and walking by me twice.. Not even an acknowledgement like: I'll be right with you... I had to literally stop the younger one in her tracks to get some help. As an owner of a deli in the marina district of SF i know how it is to work a register and greet! These ladies showed no care of greeting or making customers feel welcomed. Very sad because bottom line it hurts business and customers don't come back after bad treatment. I give two stars because the COOK rocked the house!

I really wanted to like this place but I just can't. Initially it's a cute hidden spot their menu is different and the place has a cool vibe. But the service sucked all of our orders were somehow incorrect and the guy working the register /serving food seemed really overwhelmed ! It was cute , but I won't be going back!

The service here was really lacking. They have a great menu with a lot of great options. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food... if you're lucky. We ordered simple cold sandwiches, and it took more than a half an hour. Crazy. Also, they asked if we wanted potatoes or fries, and we said fries, but they brought potatoes. I was so hungry at that point it wasn't even worth sending it back. We sat on their patio, which was nice, but had weird acoustics. We had to whisper in order to have a private conversation. Also, it seemed like the restaurant was storing some restaurant equipment or something out there, and it kind of looked tacky. The busboys on the patio were pretty efficient and did offer refills. They looked like high school kids. This place is nice for a leisurely lunch, but is extremely slow, unacceptably so, and there are places in the area with better ambiances. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about.

I had higher expectations based on their Yelp reviews. However, the food here was just okay. I've had much better crepes elsewhere. There wasn't much to choose from on the menu of savory crepes. I went for the Sunrise crepe, which is grilled chicken apple sausage with scrambled eggs, green onions, provolone cheese and salsa fresca. The combination sounds delicious. However, it was just missing a little something extra. It was decent but it could've used a little kick in the flavor department. I enjoyed my food though. The potatoes side was okay but it could've used some spices. I also felt that mine were a little over fried. It was very crunchy. I couldn't taste much of the potatoes. The side salad is decent and the lettuce was fresh. I also ordered a hot chocolate and there was barely any chocolate taste in it. It just tasted mostly of milk. Very disappointing.

We specifically sought out High Tide Cafe because of the positive reviews, unfortunately we did not have a great experience. First, after ordered 2 plates of food, we waited almost an HOUR for it to arrive at our table, and when it did, I got my food before my fiance so I was almost done eating when his food arrived. The food was average - nothing worth waiting an hour for. The tables around us were also complaining about the wait time and when our neighbors finally got their food - their order was wrong. The waitstaff completely ignored all the tables, never once checking in on us, never apologizing for the wait or offering to comp something. Even when were able to flag a staff member down and ask for something they would hurry away and barely have a conversation with you. It was as if they were annoyed with every customer. And, even though it was extremely busy, the cashier still had time to walk around the restaurant eating a sandwich herself...which I thought was odd considering none of her customers had food, or glasses of water, or even utensils.

Good coffee, service is great. The florentine crepe was kind of soggy, didn't do much for me. But the place was so great and everyone else really enjoyed their food, so we came back the next day. I got the nutella and strawberry crepe and it was heavenly. Great place to hang out or get a bite to eat after surfing. We will be back.

It took sooo long just to get to the register to get an order in at this place. The poor guy at the cash register taking orders was clearly inexperienced, and when I walked in, he was already flustered by a couple of customers ahead of me. I think he may have been filling in for someone else, so hopefully they aren't like this all the time. When i finally got my order in, I paid for it via credit card, and he tried to give me the amount back in cash.....poor thing. I had to tell him that I'd already paid, and he didn't owe me anything. Food was actually 3-4 stars. Food came out lightning fast too. I had the pancake/egg/chicken apple sausage combo. Very generous servings. The OJ was fresh squeezed and delicious. I'd venture to try this place again, but will be prepared to be a bit patient with the cashier. A couple of tables outside in the front are dog-friendly. There are indoor tables too. And an outdoor patio in the back. They outdoor patio is not dog friendly, at least, they didn't offer for us to sit back there when we were there.

This is a great little place away from everything in Pacifica but still has this family feeling in it. This is one of those cafes where one just orders what they wants finds a seat and the food will find it's way to your table. No reservation, no fighting for the bill, just simple. The prices aren't bad at all. Just the crepes were a bit undercooked. Was a nice place after going to San Pedro Valley.

For sure one of the better cafe/ sandwich spots. Better yet, its right by the beach! I got the mozarella/tomato sandwich. For 7/8 bucks, the sandwich is SUPERRR HUGE. their portions here are huge. The house potatos are super yummy!!! the plate was good enough for 2 people. It comes with a green salad too :) my friend ordered the vege omelet. It looks bomb diggity. the food here is very good :)

Nice creperie. Usually they are too small but the place has ambiance and lots of space, including a heated back patio. We had the Italian and sunrise crepes. They are kid friendly with several choices for the as well. Could've skipped the potatoes but otherwise very good. Parking was tough but it was a nice day with lots of surfers. Definitely will go back but on an overcast day. No view from their seating so foggy is a perfect time to go.

Stopped at the High Tide for brunch yesterday while visiting Pacifica for the day. I have to say we were a bit disappointed. Atmosphere: Very casual, order at the counter type of place with inside and outside seating. Service: Ok. Can't really be bad since you order at the counter and they bring you your food although we did ask for water, the busboy forgot, then remembered and brought my husband water but no myself. Food: Sunrise Breakfast Crepe: Crepe was ok, seemed to be lacking flavor and could have been hotter. French fries were ok, small portion, nothing special. Side salad ok, simple mixed greens with vinaigrette. Avocado, Cheese & Salsa Omelet with Home Fries: Omelet was cold and the cheese wasn't melted. The homefries were quickly deep fried and lacked flavor. Toast wasn't toasted. Coffee: Not so great. Bill was $25 including a coffee and tea. Did see a lot off guests order the beach club which looked really good. Greek salad was also a nice size and looked good. We did notice a sign in the window regarding new ownership. Hopefully the new owner's will make some changes. If the new owners have already taken over they need to make lots of improvement otherwise their not going to last.

I'm giving this restaurant five stars based on its price class -- very reasonable. Keep in mind this is a casual dining experience, very popular with local surfers. The service was friendly and fast, considering all the food was prepared fresh. I had the Florentine savory crepe and the Apple and Cheese desert crepe. Along with the fresh salad and cottage fried potatoes, everything was really good -- as good as you would expect from a white linen restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone, but keep in mind, my iPhone GPS totally steered us wrong. The restaurant is in the strip mall.

The crepe was over cooked. It was over fried and greasy like a quesadilla. The breakfast burrito was the same. Come here if you have a hangover. The fresh OJ was tasty.

This place is GREAT! Fairly priced - huge portions - quality ingredients. I love Philly Cheesesteaks and this place does it right (they cook the cheese WITH the meat). Served up on the perfect roll and you get a wonderfully flavorful sandwich. Then - they pile on the fries and a salad! All for $10. It's a deal in my book. Everything I've had on the menu is delicious too! Crepes, sandwiches, classic breakfast grub - it's all good. You can't go wrong here. When we're having fair weather, you can go outside and enjoy the view of Linda Mar Cove while feasting - can't beat it.

High Tide made my day yesterday. I love the fact that they have a delicious vegan sandwich on the menu and I don't have to get all Sally ("When Harry Met Sally") about my order. Good fries. Convenient location. Interesting, colorful artwork. Nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks and wine. Excellent, spicy soy chai, too, served in a giant cappuccino mug. Looks like they have nice patio seating out back -- would love to take advantage of that, but it was pouring rain and cold outside. Most of all, the customer service rocks. They are so nice there. We met two ridiculously friendly local families and spent an hour and half just chit-chatting with them about kids, schools, neighborhoods, real estate, fun places to take the little ones, parenting, etc. Mom report: Definitely a kid-friendly establishment with a kids' menu. The restaurant and high chairs seemed clean. Thank goodness the bathroom was clean, too, because I had to change a diaper on the floor (with not one, but two changing pads between my baby and the floor). I just wish High Tide had a baby changing station installed in the women's room.

I visit High Tide pretty frequently, but only during the morning or early afternoon. Its typically really busy on weekend mornings with a brunch crowd. The two items I tend to order are the Basic Savory Crepe and the Beach Club Sandwich. The crepe is simple with just cheese and onions, served with a side of mixed greens dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and house potatoes. The Beach Club is also served with mixed greens and your choice of house potatoes or french fries. It has turkey, bacon, avocado, mayo, lettuce, and tomato. I usually get the sandwich on rye. There's a hefty amount of turkey and perfect amounts of mayo and avocado. Their coffee is decent and free refills, which is great. The service is consistent, but not anything out of the ordinary. The folks are always friendly, but rarely exceed expectations. The atmosphere is wonderful though. I love sitting outside in the sunshine. The patio is calming and the whole place is filled with cute art. I have gone with friends, boyfriends, and even my mom. I have seen folks with kids there as well. High Tide is just one of those places you can go with anyone and know what to expect. Overall, its a great place in a great location with good enough food.

Went here for Mother's Day. This is the kind of place where you give them your order up front, take a number, and then they bring it to you. It's family-run and they are all very nice people -- the owner's parents do a lot of the serving. They have a great patio out back, it's completely walled-in but painted with a colorful mural. Food is good -- I wouldn't rank it as one of the best, but still very good. Did take quite a while for the food to arrive, however. Not sure this is gonna be a regular place for me, but I'll definitely be back from time to time. UPDATE Dec. 2011: I went back here for dinner for a crepe -- it really wasn't that good. The crepes are too thick, the filling wasn't pleasant (salmon). I took it back and they made me something else, but it wasn't all that great either. I'd go back, but probably for something else like an omelette.

Alright, owners of this place: this is an intervention. I've been here several times now but today was my last. I really *want* to like this place--nice location, decent food when the order doesn't get messed up, unique for pacifica. But guys, YOUR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Every time! The wait for food is crazy and/or you screw up the order. Every time! Hire more people or raise your prices or you're going to keep pissing people off and alienate the very small community that is pacifica. For every bad review posted here, there are 100 others whose business you're quietly losing. Get it together and don't be another failed restaurant statistic.

First two visits were great. What happened! Over cooked dry hamburger, old soft french fries, minuscule piece of Salmon in salmon burger, etc., etc. Unfortunately, we bragged on the place to our guests. One problem we could have overlooked, but none of our 5 orders was even satisfactory. Adios, High Tide.

Decided to come here with my husband for breakfast. BIG MISTAKE. We ordered our food, We both got the french toast and a side of bacon and side of the apple sausage. (After the manager who took our order treated us if we were stupid when we asked what sides they offered) we went and sat at a table, which seating is pretty compact in this place. Our drinks came pretty quick but It took 35 minutes for my husband's food to come and another 5 for mine, the food was cold and the bacon and sausage felt microwaved and had an almost chemical taste to it. The plates were dirty with some kind of purple jam or juice and nobody ever offered to refill our drinks after countless employees walked back and forth constantly looking at our table...

Went to dinner with a friend here for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised they make almost anything. However, for being part "Creperie" they sure do not have many sweet crepes...and few savory crepes as well. I guess its because they also do sandwiches, salads, and burgers too. They have limited seating inside. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. I ordered the Italian crepe for about $10 and as with other dishes got fries and salad included. I think savory crepes were running about $9-$11? It had eggplant, cheese, marinara, it was good. The crepes are big about the third of the plate and thick, they have a lot of filling. My friend got the grilled salmon crepe and said it was very good and it had a tone of salmon. BOTTOM LINE: Definitely recommend! The crepes are worth it plus you get a heaping pile of fries or potatoes and a small salad. 4 stars only because the crepe variety is small for sweet and/or savory crepes.

We have come here several times and had a decent experiences. But, the last time we went was our last time we will go. Horrible experience!!! We ordered our food and sat down to a dirty table which was no problem. However, we had to wait 15 mins for someone to come get the dirty dishes. And, yes, it was obviously they were not our since we stacked them up for them. The employees walked by more than several times before they finally came and got them. Secondly, we waited over an hour for our food. We noticed that there were others that ordered after us were expressing concern for their to-go order. Then we noticed that the table of six behind us had their food already. There were only 4 of us (3 adults and 1 3 year old). Our order was simple a hamburger, a chicken sandwich, and a kids grill cheese. I noticed the chicken sandwich and grill cheese were sitting at the window for at least 10 mins before I went and asked for it. Of course, it was cold by then and unappetizing by all means. We never got the hamburger. They were cooperative when I went and complained about what happened and gave us a full refund. (Believe me, I would never do this unless I believed we deserved it. My husband and I worked years in the food industry.) They said that they were busy but that does not excuse them from serving people who ordered after us.

Excellent brunch spot! The menu has great variety. Omelets and crepes are a must. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, you can even see the juicer from over the counter. The cafe has a nice ambiance with mural painted walls, indoor and outdoor seating and a heated patio. I would definitely return here again!

The food here has steadily declined over the last year during which we have visited maybe 4 times. It seems the owner and their family used to be visible a lot more than they are now. The crepes act as a great disguise for burnt or poor ingredients. About the only things that are right here are the melted cheese and the crepes themselves. Dominique M.'s review seems to mirror our experience. Sad.

The BF took me here for brunch recently. I was thinking... "Beach. Sunshine. Brunch. What a day!" Sadly, the experience could have been much better. The service was fine. The food was fine. The place was fine. Fine is just what it is.... it's just FINE. I was expecting much better, especially for a newer establishment. The menu is very easy to navigate, though one has to stand back a bit to really decide on their food. I was at a creperie, so I decided on a savory crepe for lunch. I ordered the chicken pesto crepe and ordered the potatoes. BF had the Beach Club with potatoes. Both meals came with a salad, already dressed with a balsamic vinegairette. I enjoyed my crepe. It was flavorful, evenly cooked, and dressed well. No complaints on my end, except that I was expecting home fries and was presented with plain chunks of deep fried potato chunks. A little rosemary, sea salt, and olive oil would take these potatoes to the next level. But I suppose it was my fault for having that expectation. BF on the other hand had a less than stellar experience. He asked for potatoes and got french fries instead (real disappointment because on his previous visit, he fell in love with the potatoes). We decided to trade potato sides because if I'm going to have plain jane potatoes, they might as well be in fry form. He also asked for no mayo on the sandwich, and got mayo slathered on the bread. We were very tempted to send his plate back, but we were both starving and it already took 30 minutes for us to get our food in a nearly empty restaurant. He scraped as much as he could off and enjoyed the rest of his sandwich--- though wishing he went with a different choice. Since it was a BEAAAUUUUTIFUL sunny day, we decided to sit outdoors on the back patio. Bad idea. All the tables were dusty, my chair was broken, and there was just crap piled EVERYWHERE. They have a front patio.... management should have either cleaned up back there first, or completely close off the patio. The server's station was in shambles and the bussers actually started piling stuff on a chair by our table because there was no space for it otherwise. Not very nice, and not very hygienic. EW. The food was decent, but for the wait... I'll just pass.

I ordered fish tacos with avo- $1.50 extra...which was totally missing so my lovely man went back inside to get it fixed. My to go container now also contained some chocolate sauce from someone else order. Service was sad... The guys seemed really inexperianced. Caught one guy eating olives while making someone's Bloody Mary. He stopped chewing when he saw me. Big OSHA no no. My boyfriend had 11 slices of turkey on his Sammy. Way too much meat. Won't be back.

I tend to take a dim view of everything in Pacifica, and other than Ace Hardware, I never patronize any business in Pedro Point, so it was quite a pleasant surprise for me to discover High Tide. This restaurant is way better, and way cooler, than what you'd expect to find in this town full of mediocre eateries. The first time I came in here, I was looking for a nice salad to go that would be compatible with my weight loss regimen, and boy, did I find what I was looking for! I always order a large "High Tide" salad with grilled chicken or grilled salmon, which is $3.00 extra. This is a darned fine salad, made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, containing feta cheese, orange vinaigrette, carmalized walnuts, and other good things. These salads have made High Tide my new favorite restaurant in Pacifica, and I look forward to sampling their french toast and crepes the next time I want to splurge and reward myself for a good week of weight loss.

Just finished lunch at this new (5 month old) Pacifica Restaurant. Enjoyed it immensely. Friendly service, coupled with varied menu and reasonable prices are pluses, as is the generous portions. We chatted with manager and confirmed that this is a sister (or cousin) restaurant to Squat and Gobble in SF. He told us the Crepevine in Berkeley as well as many other restaurants are all run by various cousins in their family. We sat outside and watched as many folks, mostly locals, had lunch there on a weekday. They are doing well. Location is in an old strip mall near the beach so it is convenient to a stroll post lunch. Parking is plentiful. Looking forward to sampling their breakfasts and dinners.

I come here often because it's right by the beach. I hate to say it, but this place doesn't seem to be run very well. It's cute and I like to support local businesses, but you end up waiting a lot longer than you should for a basic order. And when you place your order, half the time the person behind the counter seems distracted or way too busy. Good hot chocolate, though.

Love This place!! Very clean place. Food is amazing and LARGE portions! Staff is friendly and always with a smile on. I've been here several times whenever I'm in the Bay Area visiting family and friends. They have a nice outdoor patio in the back and good amount of room inside. Last time I was in I noticed a customer parked his car and one of the staff had a beer and news paper waiting on the table for him (guess it was a regular) I thought that was pretty cool. My family that live in the area always come here and have always had great food and fun times. A++ I recommend this place to everyone

We checked in at a nearby hotel and I asked the desk clerk for restaurant recommendations. She said her favorite local place was the High Tide Restaurant Cafe and Creperie . We went there the next morning for breakfast. Located in a small strip of businesses off of the highway, the place is pretty simple but charming in it's own way, and clean. The server who asked us to be seated was very business like, but pleasant in taking and serving our orders. Our two crepes were ready in about 5 minutes, and they were excellent. Not the dainty little paper thin crepes like we had in Europe, but a little heavier to hold the substantial fillings. We also appreciated the green salad and skillet fries that came with each crepe. It all tasted great. The prices were very reasonable. I wish we had a place like this near us here in Minnesota.

I feel embarrassed that I haven't reviewed this place before. Maybe I was trying to hide it from you so I could keep it to myself. The place is as good a representative as Pacifica could ask for. The family that runs the place has a simple service down to a mostly controlled chaos. The savory crepes are the core of the offering where I'm concerned, so I'm constantly surprised that everyone else in my family gets the sandwiches and such. Portions are large and everything comes with a real salad as well as a starch. I was a little put off by the art the first time I went, but the little notes have grown on me and now I'm becoming a fan. You'll understand when you see it.

We had a late lunch, so savory crepes where chosen. I asked what is their top seller. We ordered the Chicken pesto and Pacific crepes. Way too much pesto and the green salad was so slimy, I left it. They should pick through the old lettuce for crying out loud. Too bad, as I love a baby field green salad...... Pacific crepe got a thumbs up. A.o.k. for a quick bite in this surf town.

All of the food here is lovely! I love how close it is to the beach. Literally right off the water. You can get sweet or savory crepes! mmmmm! Little pricey, but lal worth it. Coffee is a bit weak and tastes like water, but other than that, hey good food.

We've been to High Tide about 20-30 times (late review). Until recently, Pacifica has had a dearth of good restaurants (which is slowly changing - thank you, Jeff, God of Biscuits). Two consistent themes in most of the reviews that bear responding to: (1) yes, the food is consistently good; and (2) yes, the hostess doesn't have some fake, syrupy welcome, but she's a nice person, so chill. 1. Food: pretty simple - it's tasty, and importantly, consistently tasty. We lean more towards the savory side of the menu, so don't have a lot to say about the dessert crepes, but from breakfast to burgers, it's pretty damn good. My spouse is (mostly) vegan, and tells me that the veggie burger is good (they have other veg options, too). I like crispy potatoes, so the house potatoes are good. Also, folks we know consistently compliment their breakfasts. I like the fact you get salad and carbs with your food. Finally, be aware - it's a lot of food - you definitely get your money's worth. 2. People: yes, one of the ladies that works there doesn't gush and tell all customers they're skinny, attractive and smart. We seem to have normal/nice conversations with her, so not sure what the issue is (maybe some people need their asses kissed, who knows?). 3. Location/Ambiance: in a small strip mall by the beach, next to Fresh and Easy, so the crowd is mixed with surfers, local Pacificans, people shopping, and folks hanging out in Pacifica for the beach - total mix. Tables in front, inside and in a small patio that they had painted (pretty cool). 4. Other: N/A. Overall: good, consistent food, many options.

My friends and I stopped in for breakfast. I ordered my food to go since I would not finish all of it and wanted to take the rest to go. The man at the front asked if we all were sitting at the same table. We said yes. My friend get his order first. 5 min later the waiter/ manager comes back and asks what I ordered. I tell him and he heads to the front. He comes back and says "oh you ordered to go. So it's at the front. When you ordered to go you confused us. Yeah it's at the front." I tell him we ordered together and I want to take the left overs home. My other friend asks him "can you just bring it with my omellet? He says alright... then as time passes my friends wonders where his food is. He goes up to the front and asks about his food to find out it hasn't been put through yet and he'll put it through. My friend says I don't want my friends to wait 15 min for my food. I'll take a refund. The manager says it won't take long. My friend assures him the refund would be best. Then my friend realizes he didn't get a refund for his coffee. He comes back to the manager and the manager tells him that it's because he drank his coffee. Eventually he gets his refund...

Man, this is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It was so bad, I had to just walk out. The cashier "Morticia Addams" is a horrible ambassador for this place. When I walked in, she saw me, and completly ignored me. I stood for about 15 minutes waiting to be helped and she never once acknowledged my presence. As I waited, I obeserved how rude she was with other customers. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

We came here for brunch and there was plenty of parking. We first missed the exit and took a drive in the forest and then made our way back. Turn right when you see the gas station and Safeway on your left before the road curves into the trees. The signage and the shopping center look very humble, but the inside was cozy and nice. The prices are about $10 per dish. I had the chicken pesto crepe and it came with fries and spinach side salad. The dressing was pretty good but my chicken pesto was very oily (even though pesto is oily, the crepe was all oil afterwards). The Marzen pasta was pretty salty but plentiful (which means you'll have a bloated face if you eat it all!). The garlic bread was pretty good. Service was nice and friendly. Next time I want to try Gorilla BBQ.

I love to come here after a Sunday dawn surf session. Amazingly and friendly service, so rare for this price point IMHO. I've been routinely surprised by the attention and care from the staff. The food is excellent, the coffee good, value above and beyond. I love the "PLEASE DO NOT PLAY WITH SUGARS" sign on the sugar trays; makes me laugh every time! My favorite deal is the combo with chocolate chip pancakes! Seating appears limited until you realize they have an outside seating area that is heated and seating in front as well. Another little detail I like is that they use little "table reservation" signs to keep the four seat tables for the 3+ crowds which makes for more efficient seating. I wish more places would do this! My only gripe would be the espresso drinks. I'm admittedly a total snob when it comes to coffee and probably shouldn't compare this place to Ritual or Four Barrel :) Lastly I really like the art on the walls. Surf and beach themed, bright and cheery colors.

We happened upon this cafe and were pretty glad we did. We were in Pacifica scouting out a vacation rental for our upcoming wedding, and we both got hungry. We were on our way to Half Moon Bay when I spotted the cafe (the Creperie part caught my eye). So we checked it out on Yelp - solid 4 star rating, and decided to give it a try. I was quite surprised when we walked it to see such an extensive menu on the chalk board - it was the size of a wall pretty much. Lots of breakfast choices - omelettes, pancakes, crepes, etc. They also have sandwiches, pasta, and other lunch/dinner items. I got a crepe with chicken, pesto, tomato and spinach (it was supposed to come with cheese, but I subbed it out for the spinach). I was really pleased with how yummy it was! They were not stingy with the pesto at all - my crepe ingredients were practically swimming in it. But it was truly delicious. The potatoes that came with it were just ok - I've had better and had worse. At least I don't think they were frozen potatoes. My fiance got the spaghetti and meat balls. They actually make their own spaghetti sauce there - but he said it was only ok. The meatballs are not made there, which was fine. He said his food was only ok. One of the cashiers was very nice and helpful. It would have been nice if the other would smile - but that didn't happen, unfortunately. The words out of her mouth were nice, but there just wasn't a smile to go with it... Given the lack of choices in HMB, I'd definitely come here over many eatery options in HMB. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu. We saw someone eating a good portioned salad while we were there. Oh, I took a few pics of their funny signage on the tables :)

my friend amy shared this treasure with me yesterday. it is off the beaten path in pacifica, past taco bell and next to the new fresh and easy (?) market. the menu is full of lovely treats for the soul. i ordered a florentine crepe. amy ordered red snapper fish tacos. we were both delighted. the crepe was enormous...spinach, cottage cheese, and mushrooms. i will add some regular cheese next time for a little more flavor but, it was still yummy. it comes with either home fries or home cut french fries. i opted for the fries. although, when it was delivered to the table, i received breakfast potatoes, they did get the others too me too. i tried one of the home fry potatoes. it was cut small enough that it was crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside....PERFECT And the fries were outstanding too. the crepe was also accommpanied by a nice mixed green salad with balsamic vinegarette. which was deicious ! amy received three grilled red snapper tacos. they were served on corn tortillas. and she also had a really nice salad on the side. there are a gazilliaon drinks to choose from ...coffee, coffree specialty drinks, teas (dold and hot) smoothies, sodas and water. They serve breakfast and lunch options including small and large meals. the prices did not appear to go to fatr over 10$ for an entree...which seems to me a great deal for the delicious meal your get to eat. well cone folks! i will certainly be back to try some more yummy tretas!~!!!

Stopped by hear for a late lunch. They serve breakfast all day & we had a delicious veggie omelet. I'm not sure why we waited so long to get our food though. We didn't really care since we weren't in a hurry & the staff was apologetic. They have a few tables on the front sidewalk & we sat outside with our dog. The tables closer to the windows are nicer than being right by the parking lot. It was also strange that they didn't open their huge dining room in the back when there were people standing around, waiting for a table. It's a great stop, as long as you're not in a hurry.

When Kari S. and I had gone, they had just been opened up for 1 week. I knew what meant - they were still working out kinks with their service. I was still willing to give them a go. My Pacific Crepe consisting of fresh salmon, capers, cream cheese, spinach, and red onions ($8.95) was not bad, however, there were chunks of cream cheese in the crepe. Perhaps, feta cheese might have gone better. Hot cup of coffee went well with my plate. Kari S.'s plate of food came out cold so she asked for it to be heated. It took awhile for the server to return with her food that I was almost done with my plate. Cute space. Their restaurant reminds me a lot of Crepevine. Be forgiving with their service.

I can't believe I haven't done a review for this place yet! Definitely High Tide for the Low Tide season =).... First off... I waited to write a review after coming 5 times to this place. And I must say I love this place. I bring friends here after a long night of heavy drinking. I can say that this place is just a little bit on the pricey end (which is why It's 4 and not 5 stars), but it's so worth it. I've ordered different savory crepes, but I've ordered the Pacific savory crepe. This crepe comes with your choice of fresh salmon or smoked salmon (I definitely recommend getting the smoked O_o... omg mouthgazm!), spinach, capers, cream cheese and red onions. The combination of flavors are amazing! My friends agree that the combination of the capers (which isn't too salty do not fret!) and cream cheese together with the strong flavor of the cream cheese and the lite flavor of spinach and the not-heavily-tasting red onions combined make the most amazing combination of flavors. Btw, I don't know if I was just lucky, but my house potatoes came out perfect... crispy on some sides and soft on the inside. The service isn't bad either!! It's family owned I believe and the family is very pleasant and is very polite. I think one of the sons own my favorite hookah store right next door so also if you want to smoke hookah after having some good smoked salmon crepes I suggest going next door too. =P This long positive review obviously means I enjoy this place very much and will be coming back almost every other weekend. =)

Ended up here with some friends today. We had gone for a hike and were pretty hungry. The good: I got the egg and bacon plate, there was hellllllllllla bacon. Our food came out quickly. Husb said there was hella peppers and they were hot in his cheesesteak sammy. The not so good: My friends ordered right after we did at the cashier. We were over half done with our food by the time their food arrived. My friend's food was lukewarm. Though I did get hella bacon, it was not crispy and there was quite a lot of bacon grease on my plate. The scrambled eggs had some brown pan crisp on them. Their poached eggs had a bunch of water in the cup. Also, husband had to flag someone down for more coffee. While these are not serious things, the frequency they occurred in on one table is not good for me. If you also like your eggs tender and bacon crisp, I recommend you be specific with your order.

My family and I stopped by on Father's Day for breakfast. It was busy, so we had to wait a bit to place our order. Our food came up fairly quickly, but we were less than pleased with the quality. The house potatoes that were listed as being cooked in olive oil and having garlic and rosemary had neither, and they had no olive oil flavor. They must have been cooked in another oil, as I know how potatoes cooked in olive oil are supposed to taste. The pb&j sandwich that we ordered for my little guy had the tiniest smear of peanut butter and a negligible amount of jam. It was basically a bread sandwich! My husband's burrito was decent, but nothing to write home about. All in all, a disappointing experience. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon.

This would be my 2nd time going to High Tide and I can honestly say, not really impressed. Service? We waited about 5min while at the register for someone to even come up and take down our order. The waiter checked up on us twice in the whole 4hr span we were there. anyways we went and sat ourselves in the back yard seating, which I personally think is very nice. But ... There is absolutely nothing on the tables. No napkins, condiments or knifes/forks etc., we asked for it AFTER we had gotten our food. Now the food? I got 'The Manor' with Salmon and it was okay, I didn't even eat all of it, under spiced, and I got a side of potatoes, more then 50% was burned. But I do love the pitcher of beer for 10-11 dollars! Great idea! So 2 stars .. Okay food and crappy service!

High Tide never disappoints! Just like its cousin- Crepevine- the menu has sooo many choices and it's always good. I was extremely happy when it opened since Pacifica needs some more food choices. I love the crepes, salads, sandwiches, coffee, etc! It's a great go-to in Pacifica. I have always found the servers to be helpful and friendly. Some people have criticized the staff, but some are on the older side and a little old school so cut them some slack. Sometimes when you go somewhere with a smile on your face and a friendly attitude, you'll get it back. Just sayin'!

I love their cheese burgers. This is by far my favorite restaurant in Pacifica. I also love their pancakes and Rosemary potatoes. It can be a little pricey once you add extras and a drink but for a once in a while splurge it is totally worth it.

I usually have a negative outlook on Pacifica's cuisine, but this place showed me! Their Florentine Crepe was absolutely delicious- generous amounts of cottage cheese, spinach, mushrooms. Crepe itself was thin, crispy and chewy. Salad had a nice light dressing, but the house potatoes were small and overcooked (get the fries instead). Portion size was perfect and it satisfied my hunger. The Philly was also very yummy and packed with meat. Place was filled with customers. Servers seem to be in a rush and ppl taking orders did seem rather impatient. But other than that, food was great and afforable!

My daughter and I got curious about this place so we decided to give them a try. I ordered the eye opener and my daughter tried the strawberry and nutella crepe. We found a table to sit in right away. Tables are clearly marked if they are reserved for parties of 3 or more. They also have outdoor seating which is always nice for pet owners. Well our order came but only my daughters'. So I brought it to their attention and shortly after they brought out mines. They did make it up by giving us another crepe.

I really like this place. I can't say that I love it, as it has a few flaws, but I do enjoy going here. Pros: - Best damn chicken tenders I have EVER had IN. MY. LIFE. So tender and flaky, and they are not that tough breader kind, but a nice crispy chicken strip and the chicken is always nice, tender and moist and never overcooked or chewy. Delicious, absolutely delicious. - Strawberry Nutella Crepe. Strawberries are always fresh not frozen or the gross syrupy preserved kind. Crepe's are delicious. Whip cream is an option for this one. - Orange juice, its pretty pricey even as juice goes, but its worth it. So flavorful, its my favorite orange juice. I have the hardest time not sucking it down all at once. I wish it was served a littler colder though.... - food is usually always really well prepared and my food has always come in a quick and efficient manner. Cons: - I think it would kill, literally kill, the middle aged woman behind the counter to smile. She's not rude or anything, but friendly isn't the adjective I would pair with her either. - the potatoes. I love potatoes, they are my favorite food, but these are usually super burned and crispy and not very enjoyable. Stick with the fries. - Tip about getting seating outside in the back or front of the restuarant. While I still get my food relatively quickly, it always comes faster if you can snag an inside seat, plus on a sunny day there is little to no shade on half of the outdoor patio and you will fry.

If you've got a couple of hours to kill and like gambling this is the place for you! I've had my issues with High Tide in the past, but I was willing to put past transgressions behind me simply because there's not many places to eat crepes around here. The thing is about this place is that you have better luck succeeding at playing slot machines in Las Vegas than you do at them getting your order right. I've been there maybe 10 times and I would say 8/10 times they've made a mistake. If it was just getting the order wrong I could be okay with it. I'm not the pickiest eater in the world. But High Tide is like going to Disney Land. You go there with high expectations but you spend most of your time there waiting and it always lets you down. My girlfriend and I went there a while back and ordered burgers. It took over an hour for them to get our food out to us. Could be worse right? The salt in my open wound was that two tables around us were given burgers even though they were seated well after us, and to make matters worse, if you can believe it, they got my order wrong.

The food was alright. The sweet crepes were quite good, but the savory crepes were limited in choices (I think there were only 4 and only one of them was vegetarian) and the Florentine crepe I got had Bacon in it accidentally. Being a vegetarian, the small amount of bacon I accidentally ate left me with an upset stomach for the day. Fun and exactly really what I wanted in addition to my $7 just-ok-crepe. That was sarcasm, btw. I am not a moral vegetarian, so I am not all freaked out that I ate meat, I just can't digest it well anymore and when I get some, it is really unfun for several hours afterward. Home fries were ok. Service was ok. The place, digestive upset aside, was just sort of meh. I was disappointed. If you are looking for a good variety of crepes and excellent food, tho, I would recommend Squat And Gobble off Haight in San Francisco. Very much worth the drive.

Dynamite little place, moreorless a stripmall Crepevine, but amazingly the only place in town that was open for breakfast on Labor Day 2013! Moreover, they have good coffee(tm), and particularly tasty pancakes with generous amounts of fruit. The egg combo were actually over-easy, and the Florentine crepe had nicely sauteed spinach, mushroom and onion with a good combot of feta and jack cheeses.

  • Baby S.

I love this place, the food is awesome and the atmosphere is casual, but not noisy or obnoxious. The best thing I like about the food is that it doesnt have it seems like it is fresh, especially all the greenery and tomatoes- it isn't like that petrified pretend produce other places have. As far as attitude, think that other reviewer Mary B needs to understand that if you go to a family run business and ask one of the relatives what plate is good, it's going to be understood in a different way by someone who is 1) part of a family run business and 2), an important one here-from another culture. I guess I got over wanting super-fake-cheerful help a long time ago. I'm not dating them, what do I care if they have adopted the American 'Wheee!' type attitude? I don't. We're pleasant enough to them, they're pleasant enough to us. Good enough. For me, what is priority is !) getting what I ordered in a 2)timely fashion, and 3)having the end result be yummy food, and they do all of these things well. I would rather any restaurant simply just do those three things right than be all rah-rah cheerful yet mess everything up.

food isn't good here, really. And if not for food, why would you come here at all? Atmosphere? Meh. Location is really nothing special either, to say the least. We're fans of crepes and just about everywhere in the city you'll have much tastier and better experience.

Good Menu. Good location. Nice family run shop that's hipper than Denny's with a spiffier menu AND outside seating. Tucked in there on Pedro Point by the FRESH AND EASY, good breakfast spot in Pacifica. Mom and Pop are a little tired and sleepy, but they keep the teenagers hopping. Nice local business addition WITH outdoor seating and no view but you can hear the ocean cause it's just on the other side of this business :) I'll bet you could sit outside in your wetsuit and get full sit-down service. YUM!

My husband and I have been coming to brunch at High Tide once a week for about a year now. The past three times we've come, however, have been a total disaster and a complete waste of money. All the times the same issues have happened so I'll summarize below with the hope that they'll figure out how to fix their operations: 1) they completely forget our order: it used to only take about 15 min to get our food. Lately it's taken an hour and that's only after us getting up to remind them about our order after 50 min of waiting. Not sure if the cooks just ignore our tickets or throw them away but it's kind of ridiculous that we should have to remind them that we paid for and ordered food. 2) food comes out wrong: after waiting an hour and reminding them of our order, every time the food comes out wrong. And I'm not talking wrong by a little. Usually it's wrong by a lot and typically involves missing items which we've already paid for. Our ticket states it akk correctly so it's definitely a problem with the cooks and the food runners (who should be checking the ticket for order correctness before they bring the food out). 3) poor service: the last few times we couldn't get a waiter to fill our waiter to save our lives, they were out of silverware on the patio the entire time we were sitting out there and nobody brought it to us with our food when it finally came out, this past time we watched a busboy spill food all over the patio and the food sat there getting stepped on the whole time we were there, and then BOTH bathrooms were out of order the last time we went. That latter part wouldn't have been that big of a deal if we hadn't waited so long for our food to the point where I really had to pee (sorry if that's TMI!) Is it even legal to operate a restaurant without a working bathroom?? want to know the worst part? We finally asked for the manager to politely let them know what was going on and his response was "yeah sometimes we get really busy and the cooks can't keep up." here's why that's an unacceptable reply...firstly, if you can't accommodate all the orders you're taking then stop taking orders. I suspect this is not the problem though because there were tons of open tables both inside and out. Also we've watched several tables, who ordered after us, get their food before us (like 30 min before us) which says to me that their cooks just grab at whatever ticket they want without any regard to the time the order was placed. Another reason the managers response was less than satisfactory is that there are plenty of servers wandering around with apparently not enough to do. I say this because every time we sit in the patio we've seen staff running out back in the alleyway there to make texts/calls. Thus it seems that the problem is neither an overwhelming demand nor a shortage of staff...it's the operations of managers who apparently don't care about the success of their business coupled with lazy (and/or probably mistreated) staff who aren't doing their job. Well I gave this place 3 tries to prove me wrong (I was afterall a regular for quite some time) but for whatever reason this place has really started to suck lately and I'm sick of wasting our money on a terrible brunch experience. Next week we are looking forward to starting a new weekend brunch routine at Surf Spot. Hopefully reviews like this will help the owners/management figure out how to improve their operations. Otherwise I seriously doubt High Tide will be around much longer.

First time here. Cosmetically, it's a nice little oasis in Pacifica. It was buzzing nicely with a steady flow of customers when we arrive around 1.30p on Saturday. My guess is mostly locals looking for something better than your average Pacifica offerings. Service was fine. Nothing to shout about. Maybe it's not a step above because you order on the way in, then pay (with tip if you want) and then sit down and get fed. The food? Not that great. I had the smoked salmon savory crepe. That was ok. I didnb't spot the cream cheese in the description otherwise I would have avoided it. So unfortunately, that threw the balance off quite a bit. The crepe itself seemed to be reasonably well done. Came with fries that were kinda too greasy and had an "old oil" flavor. Ditto for my wife's scrambled eggs and homefries...greasy and old oil taste. This rating is based purely on that one visit and a small taste of a quite large menu. I will go back to try something different and see whether that affects my rating later on. For now - sorry but "meh" is all I can give.

Basically all the stuff you'd get at Squat and Gobble but with a nice drive by the beach (if the fog hasn't lingered in yet.) I've been here for dinner twice and each time have been greeted by a cashier/waitress who has an affinity for blue eye shadow and making it obvious when she's grown impatient (which is about 5 seconds after you reach arm's distance of the register.) But each time, I've made sure to smile and tell myself that maybe she forgot to water her plants at home and now she's angry at the world. Anyway, the food is alright. I'm not a vegetarian but always end up salivating over the vegetarian options. I've only had their sandwich/salad/french fry combos (Garden Burger and Panini Capresse) and I found both just average. But it hits the spot in that "I think I just want something simple that I could probably make at home but I'm too lazy to buy special ingredients" kind of way. I do like the feel of the restaurant. Although there's some direct signage that states tables with four chairs are for parties of 3 or 4 ONLY. My first three thoughts were: 1) what about American households made up of 2.75 persons? 2) Sucks for the guy with really large elbows. 3) Way to control seat dispersion, I guess. Anyway, if you're looking for a simple dinner by the beach, I recommend the place. If you're also craving crepes and Nutella and other goodies in one plate, then check it out. Maybe even look the scary blue eye shadow lady in the eyes and tell her everything's going to be OK.

My family loves going here. In fact, we have made it a regular after church Sunday outing. Great atmosphere, delicious breakfast, perfect beachside location, and friendly staff! We especially love seeing Juan. He makes a great Mocha. All in all, positive experience.

I've eaten at high tide many of times , and each time it seemed to get worse . The worst thing that happened to me was a hair in my burger ! I notified the waitress and she seems annoyed that I brought it to her attention .... She asked if I wanted another and didn't even offer to give me my money back or apologize for it ! This place is scum !!! I haven't gone in around 6 months and I don't plan on eating there again . I read a good amount of reviews on this place and noticed that the reviews varied in stars , they were either 4 or 5 star reviews or 1 . I think that's because the place is real "hit or miss " . My gf still goes there for coffee sometimes and I went with her recently . I saw one of the sisters who I think either own the place or are related to the owner . I hadn't seen her in a while and I noticed that she must be smoking tons of meth ! A Tweeker for sure !! She had lost a lot of weight and just generally looked like hell .... Pretty much explains why this place sucks !!! I do not recommend this place at all and would never suggest it to anyone that I remotely care about !

Ive eaten here a couple more times and unfortunately, havent been able to bump up the rating. The food is still good. Today I went in and got the mahi mahi fish and chips. Very good. i think the main reason i cant give more stars is the service. there always seems to be an older couple roaming around the place, making sure you have water and silverware and napkins. they are super attentive and nice. however, all the younger girls behind the counter are not at all concerned with customer service. i was a little unsure ordering the fish and chips so i asked the girl behind the counter if she personally had ever tried it and if she would recommend it or not. she rolled her eyes and said "all the food here is good". while i agree with her, i was shocked at her attitude. we were never offered a refill on our water through our meal, which i plowed through before we even got our food. food wise-really good. definitely worth the trip. service wise-expect moody teenagers taking your order.

Good crepes and sandwiches. I usually order the club sandwich and it satisfies every time. Occasionally the service is a bit off. Either a long delay in getting your food, a forgotten drink and my favorite ... leaving tables unbused and dirty even though several parties are waiting for a seat. That last one boggles the mind. On more than one occasion had to clean my own table. But I like having a good crepe and sandwich place in town, it provides a nice alternative to burritos and Asian food. The pasta is pretty standard, the fries are pretty good and they have good side salads. They also make Italian sodas. To me the food is comparable to Crepevine in Burlingame. Great ambiance and on a nice day one of the few spots in Pacifica where you can eat outside.

I've passed up the High Tide Restaurant over and over, and then decided to give it a try! To my surprise it was quite delicious! I had a tasty salad that had a bit to much cheese, but maybe I am just picky. The service was really great! I will for sure go back when I am in town!

My b/f and I stopped in for breakfast a weeks ago and it was good. The best part was sitting under the heat lamps outside in the backyard patio, which has really groovy murals along the walls when it started raining with half sunshine and half fog with a little rainbow thrown in and that was pretty cool! :) The food was above average and the service was a little brisk, but they were packed out solid on a weekend morning with tons of tables and large groups of families and friends, so this family-owned business should be very proud of what they have created here out of the usual bay area crepe-vine/squat and gobble/insert here chalkboard menu franchise spot. We ordered omelettes of various sorts and some coffee and overall, it was solid and huge portions. What I really liked was the huge menu and the fact that they added a whole lot of options to the usual menu of crepes, scrambles, etc. with locals in mind. A good option by the beach!

Had a nice lunch here today... decor is fun and festive, like most Creperie's with the chalk board like menu posted on the wall... with fun destination names for their meal items. i got the FLORENTINE Crepe. it was super tasty with the spinach and cheese and mushroom contents... (I opted out of having cottage cheese inside, i've never been a an) the fries were nice and crispy and it came with a fresh side of greens. I'll be back when I'm in the area, to try out the other crepe choices. nothing beats a good crepe! and hot tea comes in its own steeped teapot for you too. all brewed and warm for your belly. great for the chilly weather along the coast.

Why is this place so exactly like crepevine without actually being crepevine? Very weird. Also the service was awful. Our busboy had to put our order back in to the kitchen? Are fish tacos so hard? Bizarre.

It all started with that time that my brother Zenas wanted to take me to Nona's or something in Pacifica, and it was closed...so we saw High Tide and decided to go there. Ever since that time, Ive never gone to Nona's cause we've always decided to go to High Tide. Their Philly Cheese was very good, but recently its gone down a bit. Something about the meat not being as juicy as it used to be. But the savory Crepes are something else. With a good amount of cheese and filling. And the spaghetti with meatballs, though I only had a bite it was pretty good too. Please check it out if you haven't and its awful close to the beach so you can walk around after you've had your belly stuffed.

I thought I wrote about this already? Anyway, I came here on Valentines. We ordered the strawberry crepes and coffee. Yummy. I am not a big crepe fan but this was good. Short and sweet. It's a cute little hidden spot in pacifica. They also have a backyard patio. Love, D

The food is good, with a lot of healthy alternatives but.... the ladies behind the counter are HORRIBLE. I'll single out the females since the guys I've interacted with were fine. Lazy, rude people, food came out slow and they've messed up an order or two in the times I've been there. This one server, with ugly, knee high flat boots (forgot the name of those type of boots) could not pick up her feet to save her life. Moving slow, making that annoying swishing sound as her feet never left the ground, I saw the slowest server I've ever seen in my life. Been there 4 or 5 times, but I'm done. Giving it 3 stars for the food and great menu, but can't overcome an inept staff.

Perfect place for a perfect breakfast. Decent variety of crepes, omelets, side dishes. Tasty! My wife and I came there early morning, ~8.30am, when there were not that many hungry visitors yet. I had Chicken Pesto Savory Crepe. Really good, though too much just for a breakfast. This dish is good for two. Nice people, quick service. I will definitely come back again

We ate a scramble and an omelet both cooked perfectly. The potatoes also cooked perfectly crunchy. The best part...the fresh squeezed orange juice and carrot juice combo. YUMMM! The service was warm and welcoming and quick. A great place to relax and eat.

Thank You Yelpers this was a fantastic find on my way back from Moss Beach area. Easily missed; keep your eyes opened for a "welcome to Pacifica" sign. Once you pass that, make a left at the next light. Once you get there, you'll find an extensive menu, and a nicely decorated cafe. The pesto chicken crepe was delicious and substantial, two could easily share it (if you're not starving). The salmon crepe was ok. But dont leave without the nutella crepe. Yummy. I asked the server to package it to go, diced in bite size pieces. Riding Hwy 1 was a breeze with this yummy treat. Brewed coffee could be better.

Great lunch spot that is easy to miss. Conveniently located right near the beach, it's a wonderful place to spend a sunny day. They have an outdoor patio weathering permitting. It definitely has the feel of Crepevine and Squat & Gobble, but with a few of the dishes with a cooler "surfer-dude" name. I'm starting to wonder who they outsource the menu writing on the blackboards, because it looks strikingly similar. OJ - freshly squeezed. Offered to mix OJ and carrot which I passed on this time. Surf's Up Savory Crepe - Great breakfast style crepe with chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs and topped with salsa. Delicious Chicken Pesto Savory Crepe - Had a little too much feta for my liking but still tasty. Parking does not ever look like a problem.

The food is really, really great. In my opinion, the savory stuff is better than the sweet. Their salads are really killer, something about that vinaigrette sells me every time. The service is alright. I'm never a fan of the order-at-the-counter style stuff, and I know that it makes for limited service. The menu is really tidy, but it uses the same template as the Crepevine and Squat and Gobble in the city. I'm thinking this might be some kind of opensource thing since I've seen it in so many places.

This is THEE place to go for breakfast in Pacifica. I am sad that they don't serve waffles (minus one star for that because I really, really love waffles), but they pretty much have everything else. There are a lot of seating options both inside and out and portions are pretty big. I always leave with a doggie bag! My favorite is the sunrise crepe although I have ventured away from that from time to time. They have good lunch stuff too-- nice big juicy burgers and whatnot. One thing that tops off my experiences here is that they make really good lattes-- the coffee is ok but I love me a latte. Lastly, the service is friendly and efficient.

I feel the reviews for this place is a tad overrated. The food is just okay. Although the bloody mary that I had was pretty awesome after a morning surf sesh. I just don't remember anything incredibly special of what I ate. Hell, I can't even remember what I ordered!! I'd only really come back if I was back in town for another surf sesh.

This place is just what Pacifica needed. Great food and a menu with something for everyone. Don't just think crepes, their sandwiches, french toast, and salads are also worth a try. Minus one star because it does feel too cramped inside when it's busy.

Driving up Hwy 1 and getting hungry, we looked up restaurants near us on Yelp and High Tide was about a mile or 2 from where we were. Lots of good reviews and just the word "Creperie" made us want to try it. I'm so glad we did! We got savory crepes, the Pacific Crepe which is a delicious combination of salmon, cream cheese, capers, and red onions, and the Chicken Pesto Crepe. Both were delicious. The Pacific seemed a little lighter, although I think I would like a little less cream cheese. Both came with fresh salad and either home-style potatoes (which I really enjoyed) or fries (nothing special). We tried both just to see. I recommend the home-style potatoes . . . nice and crunchy on the edges and not too greasy. Of course the sweet crepes were calling to us, even though we were stuffed! We decided to get a Mix Crepe (Nutella, Strawberries, and Walnuts) to go. Decadent! I would definitely recommend this place and would enjoy coming back when I'm in the area!

Recently there has been a spate of restaurant openings in Pacifica. Sadly, I expect most of them to fail. However, I think that with High Tide, we may have a winner. I took my kids for breakfast this morning. I love the menu selection. In addition to crepes, it's full of salad, sandwiches and a full breakfast selection. We had the crepes Florentine (a savory mix of spinach and cottage cheese), the French toast, and a couple of plain crepes with sugar and lemon. The food was prepared quickly but very well. The Florentine was terrific. The vegetables weren't overcooked and most dishes come with salad and potatoes. The plain crepes were good, but the star is the French toast. All I can say is "yummy". Coffee is brewed well and flavorful. Regular coffee is served with steamed milk on the side, a very nice touch. I would give 5 stars but they need a little more time to get into the groove on service. I'm sure they will. In summary, I'm always looking for new places as an alternative to Rockin' Robs frozen food empire to which my kids have become addicted. The atmosphere is a great balance for adults and kids, not too fancy but not stark like some of the other new places in town. The murals really make the place warm and inviting. I love High Tide and it is definitely on my short list of places to eat in Pacifica.

My family and I found this place at the beginning of the year and we have been there at least 5 times, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My teen kids love the sweet crepes ($4.95)and my husband and I love the chicken pesto and Sunrise crepes ($8.95) it comes with home fries or regular fries and salad....it is a lot of food. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed and it is sooooo good. Service is fast and they are pretty friendly.... it is across from Dennys and the linda mar shopping center, it is hidden but it is worth the drive. Enjoy!!

We ordered salmon burger, steak and egg, and spaghetti w/ meatballs. Food was good, 2 stars for this. I don't care about the atmosphere - hard chair, narrow place, noisy type. The staff was very unfriendly; they look so mean and dissatisfied. I would have tip more if they were pleasant.

Not sure what is happening here but service and food has really taken turn for the worst. The owners and managers need to get in e kitchen and train their cooks to meet the standard set early on. Right now it's really lacking.

Really good food and as of this date they have added new items to their menu, grilled fish tacos for one! Their Philly cheesesteak is to die for, try with both sweet and hot peppers! Their side salad has a nice balsamic dressing over the mixed greens. The cheeseburgers are really good, nice portions, good fries! Surfers Delight omelet with spinach, mushrooms is favored by my husband. The sweet crepe- Nutella and banana is my mom's favorite! The place is roomy, service is good and the establishment is clean, it is also wheelchair accessible ! I believe there is something everyone would like on their menu. The family who run the High Tide are very nice, accommodating people!

Food is good but front counter ordering/phone orders is horrible. Waited 10 minutes after talking to a live person to "hold"--no one came back on. Then called back 10 times finally getting a message recorder only--still no call back after leaving a message. Finally get to a live person after 20 minutes--not even a "sorry" for their behavior!

Soooo much to say about this place and it's warmth... from the genuine love and personal attention the owners give you to the tasty, filling and wide-variety of food, to the creative & inspiring artwork on the walls... all this and I still don't feel it's enough to encompass just how at home I feel when I come here! You just HAVE to come here and experience it yourself!

Two cappuccinos and the Salmon, Spinach with capers crepe and it was delish. Duly noted was the friendly service and relaxed ambience. I would go back to this place on weekends for brunch as I want to try the other crepes. I noticed how much they paid attention to our needs and how they even kept checking all the diners outside the cafe to ensure that things were okay. The location is great because you can walk on the beach after a hearty meal.

We decided to give High Tide another chance and I am glad we did. Apparently they have worked out the kinks; I have been back three times (at night) and have had three positive experiences. The service is good, the food is yummy and, for the modest prices, the portions are huge. Next up is another shot at breakfast.

Here's the problem with this place: IT'S INCONSISTENT. As a Pacifica resident, I'm glad it's around given the low brow, limited options in town. However, every time I go there I have a different experience. Sometimes good. Sometimes bad. At best: The menu may be limited, but it's great food. Tuna melt is clutch. Pesto Crepe--- incredible. Good salad. Good potatoes. HUGE portions. When it's not super busy, the employees are friendly and they seem happy (read below to see the flip side). The food comes quickly and to everyone seated at your table at the same time. Plenty of parking. Good on refilling drinks quickly. Pretty damn good for Pacifica. At worst: I once went with two friends. We waited for 45 MINUTES before one of my friends got her meal. ONE! Then my other friend and I waited (mind you, I had gone up to the front twice to check). My 2nd friend gets her sandwich another 10 minutes later (Club--- huge. great.). I ordered the Club too and kept waiting (odd) and when it showed up (another 10 minutes later) it was half the size of my friend's sandwich and missing half the items listed on the menu. I went up and told them. Rather then take my completely messed up order, they brought me a side of bacon, avocado, and tomato (the missing ingredients). Really???? They could see how upset we all were so, rather then taking the food and correcting the mistake, they brought out a whole new sandwich plate. That was super nice of them (I'll cut them some slack), but I didn't need new salad and potatoes. My friends were almost done by the time I took my first bite. I swore I'd never go back...... But I did. I've had great lunches and dinners there. GREAT experiences ordering to-go with friends in town. Even though I wrote a longer negative story, there are good sides to this place. I just think you might be let down if you go in expecting top-notch service. I've learned to hope for the middle ground and, most of time, I walk away happy. I hope they work out the kinks! I'll keep going back no matter what.

I have walked by this place hundreds of times but could never lure my husband in for a meal. So I finally went here today with my friend and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is a little too massive. I get concerned when there are that many options that nothing is fresh. But everything tasted pretty good. My friend and I split a savory crepe and a sweet crepe. We got the chicken pesto, and the sweet mix (strawberries, nutella, and nuts). It was plenty of food for two people. The servings were massive. The back patio with the murals was wonderful. It was a sunny day but the walled off patio kept out the chilly wind, so it felt great out there. This place serves breakfast all day long. I can't wait to go back and figure out what to have for a late breakfast.

i love high tide, especially since its in my hometown. the pedro point neighborhood is finally picking up in business and its businesses like these that attract non locals, which mean more revenue for the city. the food served is good, but more importantly they have outdoor seating so that me and the pup can be together. I love supporting local businesses.

Went here a couple of weeks ago on a rare outing where I am not surrounded by my 14 children (yes, I'm joking). I live in the 'burbs and was looking forward to some real food. Expectations were set fairly high once I walked in the door and saw all the happy diners and varied menu. Not in the mood for crepes, I ordered a veggie sandwich, my juvenile dining partner ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes and we headed out back in the vibrantly painted patio. After an excruciatingly long wait, I tried getting the attention of the older gentleman working there. He avoided making eye contact with me multiple times, but I saw him clearly look down at our table once, mutter to himself and shake his head as if he, too, was in disbelief that we had no food. I thought 'Great, he's going to go crack the whip in the kitchen and see to it that we get our food soon!" so I relaxed a little. 5 minutes go by and nothing. Another 5 minutes go by and not a peep about our food and still no eye contact from anyone. It had been a good 25 minutes by then and I saw others getting served who were seated after us. Remember: raw vegetables on bread and some pancakes. After trying futily to get Frowning Female Server's attention, I finally wave down Older Gentleman's ask if our food was coming because it had been over 30 minutes since we ordered. He said flatly, "Yeah, I know. We're working on it but we're really busy". Half the tables on the patio had cleared by now. Busy? Nice try, buddy. At least fake that you're as shocked as I that our food hasn't arrived. 40 minutes after ordering, we finally get our food and it looks great. I feel like all this waiting and painful stomach churning will have been worth it. Nuh uh. My sandwich was simply raw sliced onions, iceburg lettuce and about two teaspoons of avocado on each half. The bread was scrumdiddlyumptious... a baguette, if I recall. I was near livid at this point and normally would have politely mentioned the lack of avocado, but starving and wanting to get the frick out of there I furiously ate my food (head down, like an animal) and didn't say anything. Looking back, I should have asked for a small condiment dish of avocado. I would be a lot less pissed about it and might have even forgotten to Yelp. Wold have given them 2 stars; the 2nd star being the glimmer of hope that it was just a fluke and I'd try them again someday. But on my away out, just inside the rear patio door, there sat a giant, industrial sized box of Krusteaz pancake mix. Yes, you read that right... KRUSTEAZ. And they don't even try to hide it. So in the amount of time I waited I could have driven the 40 miles to my house and made both entrees myself for about 75 cents. I might have even been a tad bit more generous with Me when it came to the avocado and given Me 1/4 of an avocado on each half of my sandwich. In the wise words of Ben Folds, "Give me my money back, give me my money back, you bi***!"

I never knew about this place until one of my co-workers took me out to brunch here. It's a cute lil' place near the surf shops in Pacifica. Service and food was good. They had some tables outside, so we were able to enjoy the sun while we ate brunch. I'll definitely be back here on another sunny day.

I first went to this place with a very good friend and my hair stylist on 3/30. I had the chicken pesto crepe, it comes with a salad with vinaigrette dressing and your choice of potatoes or french french fries, I chose the potatoes. It is delicious!!! I also had a cafe mocha which also was very very good. I went back on 3/31 with my husband and a friend and his wife, at that time I had the Florentine Crepe and requested to add chicken for .95 cents more AND well worth it! SO delicious!!!! For my drink I had hot mango tea---VERY delicious!! My husband ordered the chicken pesto, the other couple had the Florentine and Pacific Crepe and they loved it as well. For "dessert" we ordered the Apples and cheese crepe=apple, cheddar cheese, brown sugar and cinnamon. Its to DIE for!!! this place is highly recommended for all to try! I will be definitely going back to this place!!! Not only for the crepes but for the other items on the menu, what else is there? go there and find out! =)

Owned by the same people who have a few Squat and Gobbles around the bay...this places offers nearly identical food and a slightly different atmosphere since it's in Pacifica near the beach...I grew up about 1 mile from there and it's a welcome sight in such a little town. I have now been about 3 or 4 times and each time the lady working there has given me something extra...some extra chai, I kinda forget what else, but all and all it's a great little place that I hope can stay alive (Pacifica can kind of be a city of death for little restaurants)

Fantastic place by Pacifica food standards. The food is really quite good and a great value. One of my favorite go-to spots in town.

Great food, convenient to the beach. I love the sandwiches and crepes but each time I come here there is a horrible wait to order. I'm not sure whether it's indecisive people, slow readers (menu has quite a variety), or whether the cashier system they use is slow, but my typical wait time is around 20 minutes to place an order. The good part is that the food comes out quicker than the time you spent in line.

Woohoo, I am so excited to be writing about a good restaurant in Pacifica. From my previous post, you may have noticed that I am constantly searching for a good place to dine in my home town...now I have another place to add to my list. High Tide for brunch yesterday, place was packed. Ingredients for my Crepe was so fresh, crepe was light and fluffy, home potatoes cooked to perfection. Price is a tad bit high, but as long as the food continues to be consistent I can part with that extra dollar.

This is now my favorite place to eat breakfast in Pacifica, nice considering there were no good options prior to discovering the High Tide. Their crepes are delicious, and the Pacific crepe comes with either fresh grilled or dried salmon--I always choose the fresh and have not been disappointed. The sweet apple-brown sugar crepe was fabulous as well. The owner is friendly and attentive most of the time--the only thing I would deduct a star for is for our last experience there, when the female server "forgot" that we needed another place setting and my daughter had to go back inside and request one from the cashier. More upside: plenty of free parking, proximity to the beach, outside seating which is dog-friendly.

Wow, this place is absolutely delicious! My friends and I came here today because we wanted to try something new. Most of the items are breakfast or crepe styles, but they also have sandwiches and salads too. The breakfast and omelletes come with a side of house potatoes and toast (wheat, sourdough, or rye) and the plates are generously filled for a very reasonable price! I got the Surf's Up Omelette and it had mushrooms, onions, cheddar cheese and chicken apple sausage. The employees are very friendly and they come to refill your water and see how you're doing once you've received your food.

This place has been a great addition to the neighborhood, and filled a real gap in Pacifica food-wise. The people are nice, and everything I've had there is good. The soup of the day is usually a meal in itself.

    1) Average food, good crepes. 2) Uninspiring strip-mall location. 3) Horrible service. Only go here if you have the time to wait, and wait, and WAIT - and that's on a mid-week morning! Latte arrived after I had finished the news paper, and half of breakfast. On another day, I ordered coffee and forget about getting a refill!!!

Finally!! Just what Pacifica needed! I've been here a couple of times for breakfast - really good crepes & omelets. Just recently I went for lunch and had the chicken gumbo ($4) and I was very pleased, and full! I didn't know they served dinner, but I will definitely check it out. The place is bright, clean, casual, good food, very reasonable prices, and friendly staff - like I said, I'll be going back...

We now regularly choose High Tide- The food is good, the staff pleasant, the prices reasonable and the whole place is spotless! Even the water is nice, with infused mint and lemon. Most important- they are consistant.....you aren't taking your chances going in the door. High Tide has just added on a colorful back patio, with fountains and plants, and outdoor heaters on the open beam ceilings. I foresee a lot more visits in the future. I have tried the omlets and scrambled and the savory crepes- the Florentine is my favorite, and served with house potatos and a nice vinagrette and greens salad. Can't miss with the Pacific either. My husband is all about the chicken pesto. We both love the house coffee. I really hope this place makes it- it is so nice to have this dependable, clean friendly option so close to home.

Great breakfasts, great lunches and also great for dinner. I love the crepes and salads. Always a place we visit when my kids come to town and a favorite to go to for "to-go" on busy week nights.

Yum! Finally a good inexpensive quality ingredients cafe style restaurant in pacifica. THe land of oh so mediocre food, but at last comes High Tide and crepes to boot! Yey. The chicken pesto was very good, good balance of ingredients. French fries were good too as were the potatoes. Salad or mixed greens is a nice touch. Sandwiches are good, only wished they used a more authentic turkey instead of the pressed typical average deli meat style. My one complaint, the tall guy (not the owners) who takes your orders, he is just not friendly, barely says hello and seems as if he does not like his job. I am surprised a new place such as this one did not hire a more friendly person to take orders and deliver the food. He turns me off the place. Which....is sad. Service is KEY to any restaurant i would frequent often. Actually, the women staff are horrible too, NOT friendly, no smiles they act like they are doing you a favor. The short gal with long black hair is unhappy in her work, never smiles and never friendly. Really really need to overhaul the staff, they are bad! Turned off! great lil place, quality food, nice owners, fresh a few tweaks and it will be perfection in pacifica. PIP

Don't know what has been going on at this place lately, but both the food and the service are atrocious. This used to be our go to place for a quick dinner, but we have rethought that notion. Sullen cashiers, untrained servers, dishes coming out of the kitchen s-l-o-w-l-y and plenty of attitude. Time of day doesn't matter, it's the same old same old. Won't be going back any time soon.

What a pleasure to see a large, bright, attractive restaurant in Pacifica--that actually serves good food! High Tide focuses on crepes and sandwiches. We actually went for dinner but I think it'd be awesome for brunch, as they have pancakes and so forth as well. Our food was excellent, portions were ample and prices were affordable. Our kids enjoyed it and I think other kids would too--plus a lot of vegetarian options if you don't eat meat. Points for non-styrofoam takeout containers, as well.

I never really cared much for places that make you pay and/or tip before you eat... so this place just confirms that these kind of eateries are not for me. I made the terrible mistake of ordering a tuna melt with salad and fries. Absolutely the worst tuna fish I think I've ever seen (I didn't eat it) and because you pay first, the server never came over to the table to ask, "...is everything ok?" I also ordered a cup of coffee which came way after they delivered the already dead tuna melt. Who ever heard of a tuna melt with mustard sprayed all over the top of the Velveeta cheese. There was also something foul and unidentifiable in the wilted salad with no dressing. This place was pretty good when it first opened, but after trying it several times, I won't be back and I urge you to stay away. My suggestion would be for you to continue on down Hwy 1 to a GREAT little, super clean, creative cafe at the Half Moon Bay airport. You will not be disappointed there, I can assure you.

Seriously, Yes for the area, as good as it gets... I VERY much enjoyed ordering a delicious omelet and a Mocha and enjoying them watching the clouds slowly roll over the local hills. Immediately after grabbing the surf board and grabbing some waves. The wait was a little long but as they say... all good things come to those that wait. If you are in the Pacifica area, please check them out. Give them a minute and take your food to the beach or eat and then go for a stroll. Thanks High TIde!

Restaurants in Pacifica? It's about time LOL. This little gem is owned by the same folks that operate Squat and Gobble on West Portal in SF (and others in SF.) The food is the same, but the menu is scaled down to fit the smaller location. The artwork is cool and creates the atmosphere. They're known for the dessert crepes so bring your appetite, they're HUGE! We tried caesar salad, florentine crepes, mini burgers (they don't have the smiley face fries like they do in the City - boo!) and a handful of other menu items. The iced tea has a tang and the wines are good. The breads are always perfect. Give it a try. Order at the counter and take a seat with your number. They'll bring the food to your table. Nice staff.

High Tide has an amazing cheesesteak sandwich. The mural inside and on the back patio, along with the framed artwork, is absolutely beautiful and gives a very chill and clean vibe. However, a server has never touched my beverages. The first time I had to go to the front counter after my food came out to get the water and Coke I ordered first. The first and second visits I had to go to the front counter to get refills while waitresses were scooting by me like I didn't exist. In other words, the wait staff could be turned over and could use me! For the excellent cheesesteak and art, and poor waiting, I give it four stars.

I was happy to see a new restaurant open in Pacifica, we are sorely lacking in good food fare...the High Tide Cafe is great and I hope they are successful here. We have dined in and taken out on a number of occasions and have not been disappointed. The pesto chicken crepe is awesome and the scrambles are really good. I would ask them to toast the bagels a bit longer, but that is my only complaint. The staff is friendly and the coffee is good. I would like to see them expand their menu but am thrilled they are in town and will continue to be a regular.

The food is ok, been there a few times to give them a chance. When eating in, the service is poor, the food takes FOREVER!!! The chicken pesto crepe is good, but each time I got it, it was different. The main cashier/waitress who is there all the time is extremely rude and unwelcoming. The prices are high for the quality of food. Won't be going back

This place is amazing. It's so reasonable for the sheer amount and quality of the food you get. The club sandwich and soups are delicious. The dark leaf salad and dressing are so tasty! One of their soups could be a meal in and of itself. I love this place, and I love the location. It's SOOO much better than the surrounding places to eat. I also love the murals and paintings inside. Fast service, good food, I hope is stays a staple!

Great place for brunch and quickly becoming one of our regular weekend spots. At least getting equal time with Nona's now :) Food and service is *fast*, portions big, and crepes are sandwiches are always tasty. The smoked salmon crepe is delicious! Still not as good as Crepevine in the city, but a welcome addition to Pacifica none the less.

Wow, just tried it last night and had the Chicken Pesto Crepe to go. It was awesome and a huge portion too! I even had enough left over for breakfast today. The salad and potatoes that came with it were very tasty too. Finally, a good restaurant opens in Pacifica!

some day i will try something other than the tuna melt. but i love their tuna melt. warning: the quantities of food are huge. if i were smarter, i would immediately box half the serving, but instead i eat it all and end up waddling out. the side salad is really satisfying. i would order a whole separate salad with most meals if the portions they already gave you weren't so filling. the apple crepe? get it. don't question. just get it. thank me later. Dog Friendly: Outdoor seating and service that is dog friendly.

YUMMY!! Love the crepes! We no longer have to go in to the city for crepes with nutella and bananas. Went with some friends and everyone loved their food (various crepes, salads, fries, etc). Cute restaurant with cool paintings on the walls. Wish they delivered....

High Tide -- it's about time! The food is fresh and the choices are plenty. I ordered the Pesto Chicken and was really impressed with the distinct flavors and textures -- chicken, pesto, feta, sliced almonds. The house potatoes and fresh green salad with vinaigrette complemented the crepe perfectly. The portions were ample and the ambiance was casual and relaxed. While I didn't order any lattes, I do see they had it and I've heard from friends that their coffee drinks are good. Looks like an outstanding breakfast place (as well as lunch and dinner.) Do yourself a favor and check it out! You'll leave with that great feeling you get after eating a meal cooked with whole foods!

Good food, quick and friendly service, and reasonably priced. I like that I can have a tasty burger for breakfast, eggs for dinner, and a crepe when I am feeling cultured and worldly. On their menu they have various options for omelettes, scrambles, and savory crepes that do not overlap, but they are cool about letting you mix and match to get your desired combo. Oh, and fresh squeezed orange juice, with its fragrant bouquet and rich full bodied taste, makes an excellent pairing with any meal.

Really I want to give this place 3 stars, but since it's a breakfast in Pacifica it gets another star just for the concept. The food seems to be a little hit or miss, we've been here maybe 8 times since they've been open and had a variety of the items on the menu. The potatoes are really good, occasionally a bit too much rosemary. Their lattes only really serve the purpose of caffeine and I can't say that I've had one that I finished, I just keep hoping. French toast is really delicious, I wish the fruit cup was included in the price. The omelets are so-so. Some of the lunch items are tasty but the tuna melt has a TON of mustard on the top which I would definitely request to be left off. The sweet crepes are all worth trying, the savory crepes we haven't been too impressed with. One thing that's really annoying is the reserved table signs that they put on the tables for 4 people. We haven't seen a party come in that has reserved a table, the servers move the signs when people inquire about them. Its really irritating to be standing in a heard of people waiting for a table to open up when there are 4 "reserved" tables.

I ordered a candied walnut salad with apples yesterday, and it was probably the worst salad I've ever had. The spring mix lettuce was old and wilted, ready for the compost pile. How they could possibly put it on a plate I can't imagine.

My wife and I were excited to see another eatery open on the coast and we got the opportunity to try it out last night. We often meet on our way home from work to eat out when we can't be bothered to cook at home. The High Tide Restaurant Cafe and Creperie seemed like the sort of place that you could drop in on and get a reasonably price meal without dropping too much coin. The place was busy and full at 6.40pm, obviously the early dinner crowd, we ordered from the menu and took a number, the lady taking orders seemed a little grumpy. The whole place is covered in this wild acid trip painting style while I appreciate good creative, this was a little too trippy for my taste in a place where you eat, but that's personal taste. I ordered the Pesto Chicken crepe and the wife got the spinach and mushroom crepe. and we ordered a beer each to wash it down. I hate salad dressing so I specifically asked for my salad 'dry' and was offered the choice of fires or home cooked potatoes, I took the potatoes, total cost $25, not bad. We were lucky to get the last free table and sat down. The beers came out after a few minutes, served by the very busy lone wait staff, followed shortly by our food. Presentation was nice and the portion ample. The crepe was not that hot but was delicious in flavor so I overlooked that. What I wasn't happy about was the fact that my salad was covered in dressing which I specifically asked not to have, and I got fires instead of the home cooked potatoes I ordered, OK I know both are potato but I wanted the home cooked version. Overall I enjoyed my meal but I would check the crowd before eating in again as there were too many screaming kids for my liking. I plan to return and sample some more of the menu.

Good food, good prices, friendly service -- what more do you want?! It is great to have a family-oriented local place to go to in Pacifica. We love their breakfasts, their sandwiches & their burgers. The owner even bought Girl Scout cookies from my daughter! Our family eats there at least once or twice a month now. We love High Tides!

I'd been meaning to try this new cafe after hearing about it through the grapevine. My daughter really liked her Sunrise crepe - I had the Pacific with the choice of fresh or smoked salmon. I took a gamble on the fresh and although it was a good combination of ingredients, the quality of the salmon wasn't great. I prefer wild salmon both in taste and healthfulness so I should have asked before ordering. The house potatoes were decent but ask for the baby greens with dressing on the side - mine came drenched in dressing - way overpowering. A friend of mine has been here a couple of times and although her family really likes it, she isn't a fan of eggs and crepes. She ordered a burger one time and a salad on the next visit and was disappointed with both. We ordered lattes to go upon leaving and they were decent. I will definitely return - I like the casual beach cheeriness of the cafe and I think it's a perfectly acceptable spot to grab a decent breakfast on the south end of town.

Solid breakfast fare albeit a little on the pricey side. Decor is nice, I really like the murals. Had some sort of omlette that was very tasty and the wife had the french toast which was done exceptionally well. Friendly staff and a great addition for Pacifica!
