I decided to try this because their menu was stuck to my door when I got home. LOL! Well, I got it delivered since I was exhausted from work. So, I ordered what I wanted online and it was delivered 45 minutes later. Food = Average I had the Chirashi Sushi that didn't please my palate at all. I think I'll just stick to Tokyo Teriyaki. They're real Japanese and their Chirashi is the best I've had so far. I had waaay better sushi than this. I don't think I'll eat here again...

We got sushi delivered tonight and were pleasantly surprised. After a major failure at another Pacifica sushi restaurant, I was really skeptical. However, our order arrived on time, the fish was fresh, and the rolls were generously portioned. The one thing I didn't care for was the gyoza, which would have been good if it hadn't steamed itself into oblivion on it's way to us. It was squishy and unappetizing. They should cut a hole in the top of the container on delivery/to go orders so the steam can escape, keeping the gyoza crunchy. I liked that I could place my order online and avoid any potential language barriers ;-) The variety of rolls offered online was quite large too. I can't speak for the restaurant or the service, as I only had delivery, but I plan to check out the physical location at some point now that I know the food is good.

I love the fact the our waitress was very attentive, always checking how we are doing with drinks, etc. The food was good, the serving is not big, but that's Japanese food for you. I was filled by the time I was done eating my food. Total bill was under $30 plus tip for two so it was decent price. I will go back if feeling like eating Sushi, etc.

I don't do dine-in I've only done delivery from here. Friendly delivery guy. My favorite sushi place ever! Food is delicious! Although Delivery time can be tricky in south sf.

So the food is Ok I've had better, but really makes me not like the place is the Service. Every single person that works in there needs a serious attitude adjustment. I mean if you don't like people then don't work in a business that requires Customer Service. Not to mention every time I have gone there they FORGET to bring us something but still charge us for it.

We go to this place quite frequently. They have an impressive selection of sushi and other Japanese food, and service is usually pretty good. Food is delicious and fresh. They have a high tolerance for kids, so keep that in mind. Parking is usually very easy and we rarely have to wait for a table.

I had to update my review... We bought the groupon for here, and hence went back a few times (got a $10 off coupon when we paid!). The service is definitely slow, so I took one star off for that. However, they remember us and my son each time we've been. My DH and I just went on our own and the waitress asked where our son was! I love places that remember you like that! I also can't eat sesame seeds. They are pretty careful about that...and again, the last time we went the waitress remembered as I was placing my order. Food is good, and lots of selection. Kid friendly - which I love.

Hmm. Interesting place. It looks like someone had fifty bucks to change a diner into a Japanese restaurant. Planets in orbit rug, orange and green seats, origami prints on the walls, paper lanterns covering regular lighting making the whole place a dingy orange. There was a TV on the wall and they played easy-listening soft rock music. But it is about the food... There was only two of us this trip, so we got a seat quickly. The hostess took our drink order and left. A few minutes later, the waitress asked us for our drink order. When we said the hostess took it, she left. A few minutes later, the waitress came with the drinks. Five minutes later she returned to take our order. I started timing everything after the drink mix up. Five minutes later the first sushi order arrives, and a few minutes later, everything arrives. Okay, not too bad. But it is all about the food.... We got Chirashi Don, Soft shell hand roll and a firecracker roll. I always get the Chirashi to test the freshness of the fish. This is sashimi variety on rice. The usual is Ahi (tuna) , Akami (leaner tuna) , Hamachi (yellowtail tuna), Ama Ebi ( sweet shrimp ) and Tamago yaki (egg omelet slices). The real test is the egg omelet, trademark of the chef. If this is missing, go somewhere else. It has to be light, sweet and not overcooked or chewy. This one was good, but the fish was fair, not the best I've had. The firmness was missing on all the pieces; maybe a day old and one piece was a little slick; more than a day old. The soft shell was passing and the firecracker was the best dish we had. As for the prices, it was about right.

Service was uncomfortable. A young korean lady took our order and seemed very uninterested in serving my friend and I. We asked to start off with an order of Agedashi Tofu (which did not arrive until the middle of our meal). When we questioned if our appetizer was coming our server explained that the tofu took awhile to cook because it was deep fried. I wanted to believe her, however our tofu was very soggy. We also ordered a 49'ers roll which had salmon skin inside, it was awful. The salmon skin tasted old and as if it had been deep fried a few times. We also ordered a Rainbow Dragon Roll that had Ebi Tempura inside, which was incredibly salty. I ended up eating only the top layer. We ordered the Four Seasons roll, and never received it. Our hamachi sashimi was good and so was our beef teriyaki BUT our Hamachi Kama was also very salty. We politely asked if it was ok to have our check. Our server asked if we needed a box and we replied "no thank you we are still working on it"...perhaps she didn't hear us, but she proceeded to take our plates away. and thats when i said "no, PLEASE we are still working on it". then she replies back "so do you still want your check." ::palm on forehead:: All in all, based on that experience I will not be returning. Message to the Establishment: kitchen - please ease up on the salt and the deep frying. server - smile a little. its good for tips.

Had the sashimi appetizer and Mon roll. The sashimi tasted really fresh and they were pretty thick slices. The Mon roll is unexpectedly deep fried. It was decent, a bit bland but the hot sauce helped. Service was kinda slow though, even there weren't many people there

This place is walking distance from my apt and being that I am a huge sushi fan I figured why not give this a try!? I also believe this place is under new ownership (from what I understand) and I guess the older place sucked so I am not sure how many people have gone here recently. At first I was skeptical of the place because there was hardly anyone there, but I sat down in their giant cushy booth against the wall with my b/f. The place was spacious and nicely decorated and soft music was playing. Not very uppity music though, it sounded more like music I'd hear in a fancy Chinese food place. What we ordered: Miso Soup Fried Gyoza Fried $1 Oysters Crunchy California Roll and the Firecracker Roll The miso soup was basic miso soup, served at the perfect temperature and for the first time ever my miso soup here had little tiny tiny mushrooms in it along with the typical tofu/seaweed. I liked it a lot! The Gyoza was great, I'm not sure how a place could really mess that up. Fried Oysters... really good! almost tasted like a fried chicken with a sea sorta flavor. I never had oyster but this was surprisingly good ^_^ Crunchy California Roll... was AMAZING. There were sauces sprinkled on it, I'd guess a thick teryaki and what might be a spicy mayo? There were also little flakes of tempura over the pieces. I'd have to say my only complaint was how the rolls were cut for this dish. They were cut super thin and long rather like a typical "roll" so eating it in one bite was difficult and if you bit it in half all of the insides would fall out on the plate. The Firecracker roll.... was tastey! It was deep fried tuna/avocado and I think cucumber? and then sprinkled on top was crab meat and fish eggs. They served it on a dish with a flaming oil cup of some sort. The firecracker roll was very good and pretty spicey. It was a huge jump from my sweet tasting crunchy california but overall my b/f and I cleaned the table. The service was nice, our waitress was polite and the chef in the back even said hello and goodbye. The meal speed was... ok... kinda slow but we were the only ones in there at the time. The overall preparation of the food and display was great! everything looked rather pretty which made it hard to eat but as soon as you smell it you dive right in. I'd happily go back to this place everyday if I could afford it. In the picture thing I'll attach my photos that I snuck while I was there :)

By all these damn reviews of joints in Pacific, you might think that the Prince of Taiwan lives there, but you are dead wrong! I live in secrecy out of the fear that my Mainland enemies may find me and hold me ransom for a million Taiwan bucks. After a disastrous visit to that crap hole Akagi, I was hesitant to go to this place, so i sent my wife, the lovely Dr Rosanna, to recon this place with her big sister. they came back and reported to me good prices and no tummy aches so i agreed to go for dinner. Got there, no wait, nice hostess took us to our seat with a nice view of the open kitchen area. had the 13 dollar combo meal with choices of three entrees plus salad and miso soup. Good portions, not gigantic, but unless you are a fattie, you ought to be full. No tummy aches either, so suck it Akagi!

Came to try this place with a friend because of their groupon promotion. This place was a little tricky to find, it's in the far back corner of the plaza adjoined to a flashy bar. Be sure to open the door on the right, because if you go in the door on the left, you'll end up in the bar and surely find no sushi there. We walked in and were immediately seated, and later asked what to drink. The waitress took a while to ask for our order; we had to call her over from her doing absolutely nothing, after [we were] waiting ten or more minutes. I ordered the dinner bento with sashimi, croquette, and agedashi tofu (the bento has a wide selection to choose from, so I would definitely suggest to go for it) and my friend ordered the chirashi. The food came out quickly and was presented very elegantly. I can tell that the fish had been frozened, yet it was still fresh. The croquette came out perfectly with the right amount of crispiness, definitely recently fried. The agedashi tofu wasn't as flavourful as I had expected, but was generously topped with bonito flakes. Pros: Elegant presentation, decent food, wide selection, workers are extremely kind and accommodating Cons: Pricey ($14 for a dinner bento seemed steep to me), workers are inattentive (took a long while to get our check)

Review for sushi... Just okay food. I was really hoping it would be good because it's less than 5 min away from home but unfortunately I wouldn't return because I think it's overpriced and the food is just okay... Service: -was good. Our server was nice. Food: -Overall, they skimped! Mostly rice for the sushi...even that wasn't much ;( maybe because I told them I'm using my groupon? Less money less product? --ordered the firecracker roll: only thing good about it was the fancy flame that came as part of the presentation. --lobster roll: it was just okay... --lion king roll: it was okay... Hope they either charge less for the amount they give or keep the same price and provide a good amount of sushi because I would love to have a go-to-sushi place around the corner ;)

I ordered a number of dishes via Grub Hub from Go Sushi for delivery. Their menu looked really good and gave me plenty of options to chose from. Their delivery was fast and the food was well packaged with plenty of sauces to accompany my dishes. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, salmon sashimi, tempura, and a specialty mon roll. I did not particularly care for the spicy tuna roll or Philadelphia rolls which I usually like because they didn't taste particularly fresh to me. The size of the pieces for the salmon sashimi was generous and larger than I've seen at some other restaurants in the area. I very much enjoyed it and while it didn't taste fresh, it didn't taste old and I would probably order it again. The tempura was pretty good (still hot!) and about what I would expect. I enjoyed the mon roll and either because of the sauces or perhaps additional care that is taken with special rolls, it tasted fresher to me than the other more standard rolls. Overall I'm giving Go Sushi three stars because of the excellent delivery service and generally decent food. I do think they are a little overpriced given the freshness of particularly the rolls that I tried.

Came here for lunch with a couple of girlfriends today . My one friend lives in Pacifica, so she suggested this venue. It's OK for lunch, and I wish there were half stars as I think 2.5 stars is in order. But I would want to try this place for dinner. We had the Firecracker roll (it's really with the Krab, with K, which was not disclosed) wish it was Crab with a C) which would have tasted so much better. We also shared the Fireball Roll which was pretty good. Two of us had the bento boxes with 2 items. We chose the "three piece sashimi" with other items (chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura respectively) The sashimi was a painfully miniscule serving by sashimi standards, with 2 puny shreds of Daikon radish. Honestly, I get it, but when the bill totals out to $17 PP including tip (no booze) c'mon, make the sashimi portion more than a quarter the size of a regular one.

5 stars for fresh sashimi and friendly staff. But I give 1 star for their delivery service which S-U-C-K-S and pisses me off. I've ordered delivery 5-6 times and they managed to get my address right only once, mainly the first time I ordered from them. I listed my cross-street on every order form and even included detailed instructions and they still consistently manage to make the same mistake over and over again by driving to the same wrong location. C'mon, really??? It's time their delivery staff updates their gps and/or make a note to the restaurant about the delivery issue. I won't be ordering from them for a while. It's not worth the headache.

I always love sushi, went to Go Sushi about a week ago. The sushi is very good, yummm... Good service and big space. The restaurant is big enough to accommodate large group, so if you want to bring bunch of your friends for party, this is the place. Sushi, Beer, Sake-Boom (ichi ni san BOOM), this is D"Place! I need to have one there, will be a lot of FUN. They are also doing delivery, so check it out! You go go go, Go Sushi!!! Try the Green Tea CheeseCake, it's ROCK!

Worst ramen ever. I was hungry, too lazy to cook, and in the mood for ramen. Go Sushi had left a menu on my apartment door, and so I decided to give them another chance. The ramen was absolutely awful and not authentic in the slightest. The broth tasted like instant miso broth powder + water, the half of a hard-boiled egg was just a regular hard boiled egg instead of the Japanese style hard boiled egg, the pork was definitely not cha su style pork, and the noodles tasted like they came from an instant ramen noodle packet. I can't believe I paid $10 for this meal! The delivery was fast and free, and with large enough orders, you can get free rolls. These two aspects saved this from being a one star review.

I recently moved to the area, and was delighted to see I have a local sushi place. First time I ordered online. It was the day the movers came, and I was tired, dirty, and quite grumpy. I ordered online, and within about 15 minutes (I live VERY close) there was a knock at the door. It was so pretty in the container, I took a photo. I was pleased to find it tasted as good as it looked. I don't go crazy with sushi, and tend to stick to the basics, yellow tail, tuna, inari, and a spicy tuna roll. All was delicious, although I found I had far too much food. I haven't tried anything except the sushi, sashimi, and rolls. After that I've gone to pickup, then again ordered online, and each time was as good as the last. If it's possible to gain weight eating sushi, I have to accept my fate.

I came here with my family the other night, and I left really satisfied! The workers were really friendly, and polite. Still loving the dim lighting just because it felt really relaxing and romantic in a way. Their bento boxes and their rolls are amazing! Really nicely presented and their desserts are bomb!!

This place would have received 2 stars if the waitresses were even a little bit more competent...but they were not...every.single.time. that we came here and let me tell you...we have been here a million times in past 2 years. When we used to order delivery it was awesome...however.... I have been waiting for a while and hoping that they would get a clue after every single time we have come back there..MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1.The waitresses are just rude as all hell..nobody has ever taught them how to smile.. 2.they bring food out inconsistently and by the time that one of use has finished eating the other roll(s) and/or bento boxes are nowhere to be found. 3. THE BILL!!!! They have seriously messed up the bill every single time we have came there..they give out these ridiculous coupons, but they have a million restrictions on them that they don't state on there and only implement when you are ready to finally get the hell out of there! Our bill was $51.80 and the coupon was for a $10 discount for an order of $50 or more...guess what?! She comes back and tells us to order dessert because it's before tax..when I reread the coupon they tell me that it doesn't matter if it doesn't say it..that is how it is...well ..MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT... 4. They over charge you and won't tell you and when you ask them to correct it they will huff and puff and roll their eyes ...argue with you..and then they may or may not change it...i ordered a handroll and added shrimp tempura..they charged me $8.95..for A FREAKING HAND ROLL!!!!! when I asked them how the shrimp tempura made it jump from $3.99...because you added something...who knew that 1 piece of shrimp tempura could cost that much. Just go to a different place..even if the rolls are good..you can find the same ones at 8 sushi...where the waitresses know how the fuck to deal with people!!!

Okay, I'll admit...I'm a bit addicted to Go Sushi. I discovered Go Sushi by chance - too tired to venture out of the house for dinner one night, I pulled up good old GrubHub to order some home delivery. I was feeling skeptical about sushi delivered, but gave it a chance... Glad I did. Of course their sushi is not the best around, but it is decent and they have some pretty creative rolls to offer. I haven't ventured to their nigiri sushi yet - I would imagine their fish isn't going to be fresh and quality enough for that, but they do a great job on their rolls! A few of our favs: Pacific Roll Lion King Roll Oishii Roll We finally went to their actual restaurant last week - what a trip that place is! It's like an old diner from the 60s. Service was great.

The service is the worst we've had in a sushi place. They were rude, impatient as we entered and the cashier/hostess was answering questions we had....we were taken aback. However, we did try they sushi, after how rude they were we still decided to take the food to go and avoid the bad service...but unfortunately the sushi was small, some parts very dry. I didn't like the sushi at all, it wasn't fresh and yumi (like when it melts in your mouth!). We don't recommend it and we won't be back.

They have great food and I order from them all the time and I mean all the time and my friends frequently go here. But I tried placing an order today for delivery she said I needed to order more and refused to take two forms of payment. Long time customer no more...

my husband and i have ordered take out and delivery from Go Sushi many times and finally dined in the restaurant over the weekend when we had family in town. everyone was very impressed. the restaurant itself is fairly basic, but clean. the food is delicious. i've never been disappointed here. my favorites are the kirin roll (tempura shrimp roll topped with lobster salad, mango, and tobiko) and the king california crunch roll (avocado and snow crab roll deep fried and topped with tobiko, scallions, and 2 sauces), but their menu is fairly large and there is soooo much more i want to try. the presentation is very nice and something important to me. sushi isn't my usual first choice, but when it is, i want go sushi. it's really incredible.

I loved their sushi. No matter which Japanese restaurant I go to, I always order a SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLL, and theirs did not let me down. Huge portions, great flavor and nice presentation. Another thing I always order is NABEYAKI UDON. I'm very particular about my nabeyaki udon because I must have it with a raw egg, and not all places do that, or some places leave the egg in the soup too long that it cooks in the broth. Well, Go Sushi got my udon right and it was very flavorful and delicious. And last but not least, whenever a restaurant has F.B.I. (fried banana w/ ice cream) on their menu, I always make sure to get one. Although this wasn't the best F.B.I. I've ever had (Thai BBQ in S.S.F. holds that title), it was still good. So overall, food was delicious and affordable, service got two F's (fast and friendly) and the place is just so spacious! Perfect for large groups. There's also plenty of parking and no reason for you not to come! And just FYI, Pacifica Pier is just minutes away so you can run off all the food you stuff your face with.

I honestly didn't enjoy the sushi here. I thought the sushi was very fattening and just sat in my stomach like a brick. I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to do that. It was just really heavy, and the exhorbitent amount of sauce they put on the dish doesn't make it any more appetizing. I felt like the majority of the specialty rolls were deep fried or had a deep fried element, so not a lot of variety there. The firecracker roll was ok, and sure you 'ooh' and 'ah' since it's all on fire, and as humans we are always impressed by portable fire, but it wasn't something I would go out of my way to have. As for service, it wasn't anything memorable. I think I remember the tea being way too strong, and not really drinking it. the waitresses were very nice though. Also the restaurant and decor could do with a huge update, or at least something to brighten the place up a little more. The place was so dim, I thought my Lasik was going bad.

In the past, Go Sushi was not too bad. But tonight we had our worst Japanese meal in years. Dingy decor, bland flavorless food. Gomae served with in inauthentic, vinegary sauce. Miso soup that tasted like they left out the miso. Funky salad dressing. Sashimi was not too terrible (though the chef neglected to remove all the stringy bits), but everything else was mediocre except for the oysters which were truly awful. Servers were nice but there was nothing they could do to make up for the yucky food. Avoid.

Average. 2.5 but rounded up to 3. Coulda sworn the owners are the same as the Sushi Raw chains all over the City... almost the same menu items and almost the same website. It's almost like stepping into the 1960s when you walk in, I'm guessing it was decor left by the previous incarnations at this location. Decor aside. We were sat at a corner. The rolls were meh, nothing that stands out. Like I said, its the same stuff from Sushi Raw in SF. A bit pricey for the subpar rolls... definitely steep for uni, piece of uni shell included too. Yelp has failed us again... I don't think we got the 30% discount a previous yelper posted and rating wise, it's deceiving.

Marc purchased a Groupon for Go Sushi because we loved it last time, and we decided this would be the perfect post-bouldering dinner. Unakyu roll- Unagi & Cucumber roll. 6 pieces. Super simple, super yummy. I love unagi, so this was perfect. Mon roll- We can never order enough salmon. This roll had avocado, salmon inside and on top, drizzled with a spicy mayo & siriacha. The creaminess of the roll was offset by the spiciness and I really enjoyed it. Hamachi- Talk about fresh! The sashimi was cut big, the color was perfectly pink, and it was incredibly buttery. WOW. Win. Once again, we ordered the Amaebe and it was exactly how we remembered: Delicious! This place is really quiet- they have the TV on, but no volume and really low music, so it's nice if you wanna talk to your dinner date. The service is good, the waitresses are nice and attentive, and there was no hassle when we used our Groupon. Definitely will be going back here.

When groupon posted a deal for Go Sushi, we decided to give it a try. We called ahead to make a reservation (completely unnecessary) and came in at about 6 on Friday night. We were seated promptly in the booth seating and 3-4 other couples were seated in the same section although the entire restaurant was empty. Normally I wouldn't care, but it was so loud that I couldn't think. We could not carry on a conversation. Loud guests aren't the restaurants responsibility, but it would be nice to have the guests spread out a bit. The booth seating was incredibly uncomfortable and my legs were almost hitting the table and spent most of the meal cramping. It felt like I was sitting on a bean bag. If I ever go back, I will ask for a chair. Our water was kept filled, our order was taken quickly and we were served pretty fast. They don't use wooden chopsticks, instead they have fairly heavy, slippery, plastic ones that made holding them nearly impossible. Maybe I'm an idiot and need to spend more time practicing. Seriously, it was frustrating. As for the sushi, meh. I still can't find a sushi place that I love as much as American Sushi. They do such a great job of making you feel special and actually want you to enjoy your meal. This place just didn't do it for me. I felt like a number. On to the next.

When I lived in Pacifica this was my go to place. The variety of sushi rolls here are all stuff I like, and I loved that I can place an order online before I leave work, indicate when I'll pick up, and it'll be ready when I get there.

  • Dan T.

Let's face it, the best Japanese restaurant in Pacifica just isn't going to compare with what you can find in SF. If this place was in The City, it would probably one get 3.5 stars from me. Still, Go serves quality, consistent food at reasonable prices and has become one of the few go-to restaurants in P-town for my family. They have a wide variety of rolls that we've tried, but we stick with the basics. Someone else commented on the skin in the 49er roll, definitely an acquired taste (not mine). Saturday night is a great time to come if you have little kids, a really friendly elderly gentlemen plays the keyboard and sings. He takes requests and the kids love it!

This place sucks. It'd be mean to give them only 1 star. But the staff was nice, so kudos. I'm picky about my sushi & this place really sucked. What was even worse was that they lacked technique as sushi chefs. The fish was not properly cut, which made my meal less than great. This place is over priced too. They should have "Sushi Deli" prices for their quality of food. Dynamite Roll - Bleh...I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. Ahi Salad - Really poor quality & no way unique. They used the loompia sauce for dressing. Rainbow Roll - They ruined my fave sushi. It didn't even have shrimp! Spicy Tuna Roll - Seriously one of the easiest things to make & they blew it. Salmon Skin Roll - LAME & it wasn't crunchy enough. Philly Roll - Way too much cream cheese, it over powered the salmon. California Roll - The only thing they got right. So I probs won't be returning here...ever.

I seriously come here all the time. If I'm not eating sushi in the city, I'm eating sushi at this place near my house. I usually come here on weekdays but I had nothing to do on Saturday night..which was shocking so my friends and I came here. It was packed! And I've never seen it that way! We had to put our name down on a waiting list, when there were a bunch of tables available. They said to wait about 10 min so we stepped out and checked the market next door. We came back in 5 minutes and others were seated before us...I thought that was wierd. BUT the food was delicious so I ended up not caring about the wait, just wanted to share. Try the Red Dragon Roll..yummy

I had a Groupon for this restaurant, so I went here for Valentine's Day! loll They had the restaurant decorated in valentine decorations and they even had a live singer, so it was a cute/cheesy touch. We wanted to only spend $25 so we wouldn't have to pay anything additional. We ended up getting: Bento box w/ Salmon and Chicken Teriyaki, Tempura Udon, and a Rainbow Roll. The fish and the food tasted fresh for sure, but I felt like a lot of their food lacked flavor. I wouldn't suggest their Udon, cause it was really plain, but their tempura wasn't heavily battered, so it was good. There is plenty of seating and parking, but I would probably only get Delivery for this place. Even with the Groupon I didn't save that much money..

Yum yum, I'm not even a huge fan of sushi but I love this place! Super relaxed environment, good food, and not too loud. Their Miso soup is the best! The only odd thing: they've delivered to our apartment at least 10 times, and we always get a call saying that the delivery guy is lost in our apartment complex. I guess chasing him down in the parking lot adds to the dining experience?

They had a big screen tv there and Malou and I got to watch the 49ers play and eat sushi and oysters. No one noticed I brought my dog Meatball in his bag and was feeding him terriyaki steak and ton katsu what no one was looking. Pretty good. Small portions on the dinner combo. Sushi rolls took extremely long to make. But it had the fancy spider web cream sauce and stuff so I guess that's ok. I'd just squeeze some on the side but luckily I'm not the sushi chef tonight. Kind of out of my way so I'll probably not be coming back. Plus I got a Groupon and I've got a better sushi joint closer to my house. Going from cold and windy San Francisco to FOGGY ass Pacifica. Not for me again.

Very pleasantly surprised! The sashimi was fresh and the pieces were generous. The also had my fave sake, Karatumba. My party tried a bunch of rolls as well and they were all decent. Hamachi kama was really good! We had to send it back because it was undercooked, but it came out really good afterwards. They apologized twice for the occurrence and gave us free ice cream, too. I ordered ramen for myself and it was only ok. Damn, really wished it was almost as good as Dojo's w/o the wait. Very glad Groupon introduced me to this neighborhood eatery - best Japanese place in my 'hood (South SF/San Bruno)!

I'm going to be honest, the place is A-OK, nothing more. Its located in the middle of Pacifica, slightly off of the freeway in a small shopping center. The interior looks old and mixed, no specific theme. The sign outside boasts about the daily specials. Today it was "salmon sashimi for $1". After walking in and looking at the menu, we asked how large the portion of sashimi is, 1 piece = 1 $. If you look at the menu, 12 pieces are $13 so all you are really saving is a dollar, but nice try though! We ordered: 1. Go Sushi house special 2. Lion King Roll 3. Four Season's Roll The rolls were good with fair pieces of raw fish on them. Overall, I would probably not drive all the way there again, but they deliver, so I will try them for delivery again.

Greaaaaat salmon, this place is in my neighbourhood, so I go there often, the fish is always good and fresh. I've tried couple of other japanese restayrant in city, their price were crazy and food were sucks. this place, I have to say, they have the best salmon and tuna. Also, the "oh my god roll"(funny name) is really spicy and tasty, love it!!!

The food here is FANTASTIC. I've been here about 10 times and I've even ordred online. The fish is FRESH. Some of the most amazing sushi in the whole bay area. The service is always great and it's pretty cheap for how high quality the food is. I don't have much to say except if you are ever in the neighborhood check this place out. They also deliver quickly and are just all around great!

Came here after my first surf lesson on a Sunday evening and used the Living Social deal I stumbled across a couple days earlier when looking for something to do after the lesson. I knew that I would be tired and hungry after a few hours in the freezing Pacific so went on a hunt for good food and was happy to grab this deal. We arrived about 7:00 and I was surprised that even on a Sunday there was a short wait. We were able to sit at the front while we waited so at least my aching legs were able to be at rest. Since my feet had turned numb from the cold ocean I decided that I would order a hot tea to help my circulation start to flow again. It was tasty and hit the spot. Not too strong but full of flavor. One of my fellow surfers joined me for dinner and we ordered the red heart roll and deluxe Sashimi platter to start with. We ordered an extra portion of miso soup since the deluxe comes with just one soup and salad. The miso soup was ok. The seaweed could have been reconstituted better and was a bit stiff and the taste was overpowering. Maybe I'm just used to soggy seaweed in my soup but it took me by surprise and I found it difficult to eat. I love spicy tuna and the red heart did not disappoint! Not for those who don't like it hot!! The chili sauce on top is a great addition to the spicy tuna inside. Really lights up your mouth!! I finished my tea with the roll and asked the waitress for some water since my feet had started to have feeling again and I didn't want more caffeine and be up all night. Now when I ask for a different beverage my expectation is that I get a new glass right? Well not this time. She filled up my empty tea glass with water. It was ok since I had drained it but it just left me feeling a bit put off. Not the best in service and if I had left anything at all in my tea glass it would have been watery tea and not water... The Sashimi deluxe platter was fantastic. The fish was incredible and melted in your mouth. Some of the best I've had since being in Japan. We enjoyed it so much we got more salmon and white albacore tuna. Delish!!! We checked in on Yelp and they offered a free ice cream for visiting. I got the strawberry and it was good but nothing fabulous. I don't eat sweets much so maybe it's just wasted on me. It was excellent Sushi but I have to ding them one star for the service and lack of a new glass for water I'll be back when I'm in the area again but I'll be sure to ask for water while I'm still drinking my tea :)

Service. Unacceptable. I placed an online order for immediate pickup. Upon submitting my order it said food will be ready in 20-30 minutes. 50 minutes later we were still waiting. Upon receiving food we asked several times if they were sure we had our entire order and they assured us we did. About 15 min later, as we were approaching our house, we received a phone call. Guess what? They had another bag for us. Unbelievable.

This place has hit or miss dishes. The dragon roll is always decent. Spicy tuna is alright. I had higher expectations for the chicken udon but it was a disappointment. Soup base lacked a lot of flavor... and the chicken was a bit rubbery. BBQ Unagi rice was just alright, could added more sauce to it. was kinda burnt too. The best part is this place delivers.

It was our first visit here today and all we ordered were rolls: 49ER'S ROLL (Salmon skin roll topped with salmon & lemon) - Blah! DO.NOT.ORDER. LION KING ROLL (California roll topped with baked salmon, tobiko and special sauce) - Except for the charred portion of the salmon, this roll was ok. Too bad it was overcooked. I may give it another shot. PACIFIC ROLL (Unagi roll topped with spicy tuna, albacore, and tobiko) - My son and I liked this one! We added the cream cheese for some extra flavor. It was beautifully presented, too. Food here appears to be fairly priced and portioned. They have an extensive menu, as well as daily specials. Service is friendly, and they deliver. Although we weren't completely satisfied today, I still want to come back to try other stuff, especially their Tuesday's $1 Oysters, or Thursday's $1 Salmon Sashimi :)

I was staying in Pacifica for a couple days and tried this place out (who knew there were soooo many Asian restaurants in Pacifica?). Exterior: in a strip mall but who cares. Interior: nothing to brag about but CLEAN and organized. Staff: SUPER friendly. Service: the waitress was helpful in choosing (I asked what some of the more popular rolls were...wanted to see what they had going on), my cup of tea was always full and she stopped by multiple times to check in on our meal. Food: Good. Not great, but good. The menu is quite big and you have just about every variation you can think of. They don't try to cheat you out of the fish you order by stuffing rolls with vegetables or using way too much rice. We had the tempura (not too greasy, but light and yummy), a King (aka real) California Roll - I feel you can tell a lot from a restaurant by the CA roll - which was not over mixed with mayo, an Alaska roll - salmon with avocado (the salmon wasn't fantastic), a Firecracker Roll on a recommendation from our server - spicy tuna roll, tempura fried topped with crab, tobiko and scallion. This roll came to the table ON FIRE. Kind of awesome. It was about 2 rolls in one. Way too much food but only $11! Would I go back? Sure.

I came here with a friend the other day for the first time and it was not bad considering i had no idea it existed. It was not very crowded and the service was quick and very friendly. I didn't have to request to have my water refilled or anything which is always good. I ordered the lunch bento box with the California roll and the shrimp tempura, both of which were good. my friend had the same thing except with teriaki chicken instead of the tempura and she did not complain, which must be good because she can be picky. Next time I go I want to try the California roll with fresh crab instead because it sounded good. My only complaint is that the place needs to be updated because it just didnt have a japanese feel to it. But there is no doubt i will be back, in fact, i will have a hard time choosing between them and Ocean Fish because both deliver!!

YAYYYY!!! Finally got a chance to go eat at Go; I've been wanting to do that for the longest time! Let's just say, I was not disappointed! Our table ate over $80 worth of sushi rolls and rice plates. Everything was delicious! Order E5 and E6, which I think are called Pacific Roll and..yeah I don't remember. They were delicious...okay everything was delicious!! There's a 30% discount on rolls if you go on fri-sun and a 50% off rolls if you go mon-thurs; ends Nov 30th, 2011.

My boyfriend and I eat here at least once a week. At first we were hesitant to leave our "usual spot" but Go sushi won our hearts. The presentation is beautiful and the prices are reasonable. Even when we order takeout, we receive our order quickly, and everything is always high quality.

Had a restaurant.com certificate for this place so me and my fam decided to give it a try. Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner, only 3 tables were filled. Which is better for us, because we didn't have to wait to be seated and service was fast. We ordered two orders of the three item bento box. One bento had beef teriyaki, yasai tempura, and California roll. Everything in that bento was yummy! The beef was a bit chewy, but very flavorful. Bento box two we had spicy tuna roll, chicken katsu, and short ribs. The chicken katsu was just perfect and crispy. The tuna roll wasn't too spicy it was just right! We also got one dragon roll and one house tempura roll. The dragon roll pretty much tasted like all the other sushi restaurants so nothing special. But! The house tempura roll was amazing! And the way they decorated was beautiful! Loved how they're so creative with their foods. Service was friendly and quick! Will definitely come back :)

First of all i wish i can give a 4.5 stars but yelp doesn't allow .5s. As i was strolling around Pacifica, i suddenly craved for some sushi. I was too far from the nice places i usually go in San Francisco. Suddenly this place appears out of no where, or a place i didn't even expect, located in this ghost town area, near many empty storefronts and bountiful parking spaces I thought this sushi place cannot be any good. Still, i gave it a try because i wanted sushi and one bad meal wouldn't hurt. I mustered up my courage and decided to go in and eat. When i opened the door.... "errrrrrrrrrk" I heard every employee greeting me with some kind of japanese.. I was like ???, totally didn't expect it. I was like not bad i feel really welcomed. I had a variety of things i could order, they even had TORO and Uni.. Those are my favorites in japanese cuisine.. Unfortunately i didn't order those because my expectations are too high and i need to really trust the restaurant to order those items because it can be very pricey. Instead i order the same thing that i order at every Japanese restaurant, which was the Chirashi... I got my Chirashi and i liked every bit of the meal, fish was oily & and tasted fresh. Felt like they went fishing in the morning and brought the fishes in the same day. I also got a basic Alaska roll which was really good. The only Con i had was... I WANT IKURA in my Chirashi that would be the highlight!!! minus .5 because no IKURA One last note, i enjoyed how not only the waitress checked on me but the chef also came out to make sure i enjoyed the food, which made me feel as if they cared about everything in this place.

Since I can't give them 2.5 stars, I will give them 3 for pretty good service. We got a flyer from them at our apartment and decided to try it out on a Saturday evening. We dined in and we were the only customers there at 7pm. Pros: - Miso soup was tasty - Tea was good with an exception mentioned later - Tonkatsu was crispy - The rice with the tonkatsu had good texture. I like it since it was on the chewy side similar to sticky rice. - Food being presented was pretty Cons: - Gave us lukewarm tea. I like my tea either iced or hot and their tea was neither - Put way too much imitation crab on their rolls! Half a piece of sushi would be just imitation crab and after eating several pieces I got sick of eating them. - Their Four Seasons roll have rather small slices of raw fish. All I could taste was the imitation crab. - Pork from tonkatsu was chewy and looked like it was poor quality meat - Didnt have enough sauce for the tonkatsu Total ordered 3 dishes: tonkatsu with rice, Four Seasons roll, and Firecracker roll Overall their food is a little below average. Four Seasons roll was definately not worth $13 and I find it a rip off. A peeve of mines for Japanese food is when they have too many imitation crab on their food. It doesn't taste good and if I really like imitation crab that much I am sure I can find them in supermarkets for much cheaper!

I agree with what everyone else says about the decor -- it's not the best. But I didn't come here to stare at the walls and furniture, I came here to eat! So onto the food... We were a party of 4 and the husbands noticed the $1 beer (dine-in only) on the sign as we walked into the restaurant. They both thought they were in heaven and each ordered a beer as soon as we sat down. Beers in hand for the boys / hot tea in hand for the girls, we proceeded to order. Husband and I had: * Bento box with salmon teriyaki, shrimp tempura and corn croquette: This was my order and I ate it all. * Firecracker Roll: Spicy goodness. (Watch out for the mini fire pit it comes with.) * Tonkatsu Don: Husband barely ate half because he was full from the beers and the sushi he ordered. Friends had: * Sea Bass appetizer: Not on the printed menu and was a decent size piece of fish to share for an appetizer. * Cowboy Roll: They said it was so-so. * Golden Dragon Roll: All gone. * "Crunch" California Roll: All gone. * "Crunch" House Tempura Roll: All gone. For all of that and 6 beers total, our bill was less than $100. Plus friends had the Groupon so it brought our total down even more! The service was good -- never had to ask for more tea since they always came by to refill our cups. The staff seemed way more efficient than the last restaurant that was there. They also gave us a "15% off" or "$10 off any check of $50 or more" coupon (dine-in only) as we paid our bill. Definitely coming back to use it!

Had a Groupon for this; always like trying new places in SF. We had the Walnut Dragon (honey walnut shrimp in a roll!), Plum Blossom (Unagi, avo, w/sp. crab & teriyaki on top), and the Fuji Mountain (Sp. tuna, avo, deep fried then sp. scallop on top). Had some great different flavors...we'll go again if in the area... not good enough for a special trip!

If I wanted a decent sushi place in Pacifica, I'd go to the City instead. That said, all the reviews about this place made me pretty curious. So I decided to check this place out and see what the buzz was about. I ordered a couple of standard rolls, including the Hamachi Crunch roll. The crunch roll itself was pretty darn big and intimidating, but was surprisingly good. Overall though, the food and the presentation were just fine. My only real gripe was the atmosphere was so sub-par that I had assumed the food was also at that level. Thankfully I was wrong, but they should really get the decor up to a better style.

Considering this is NOT Matsuhisa or Morimoto's ... it IS pretty good. The fish was "fresh" and although the live music made me feel as though I was in a lounge and not a sushi place ~ I ENJOYED it! The gentleman has a great voice and LOVED his rendition of MoonRiver! I would have never tried this ... but OF COURSE being the GROUPON whore that I am ~ I purchased it and decided to try it ... I'm glad I did. I had the amaebe (LOVED) and yes, you get the fried heads! and the Lovers Roll (spicy tuna roll topped w/albacore tuna and tobiko) ...(GOOD!) I absolutely HEART the fried banana w/ice cream dessert ... yes it's a splurge caloric wise BUT you only live once! It was delish! I would def. go back and recommend this place as a solid "good" not "great" sushi place!!

I like this place too! They make a wonderful veggie tempura and they let me micro-manage the ingredients in my udon. I like udon in a vegetarian broth with just noodles, onion, and a scrambled egg. Nothing more. They make this for me without missing a beat or asking why I would want something so plain (but remarkably yummy). The staff is very nice, the delivery is fast and free if the order is over $20.00, and they offer freebies if your order is just slightly more than that. Decor wise, it is very plain, but I either get my food to go or have it delivered, so I couldn't care less what the inside looks like. Go Sushi is my go to place for Japanese food.

They have really good sushi, we had some sort of blossom roll among others. It was awesome, a sensation of unagi and spicy mixed the little crunchies they dab on the top. The cowboy roll on the other hand..not so good. Sushi wrapped in beef, we saw it and it intrigued us, but didn't turn out so well. Probably our fault, it's exactly what it sounds like. The iced tea was really good (bummer you have to pay for every refill though!) But great service and atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning!

If you come here, get the sashimi appetizer or you can go straight for the white tuna. It was very fresh and tasted better than the salmon IMO. I wouldn't get the rolls, but maybe it was the kind we got (Mon Roll). It was overly fried.

We were pleasantly surprised with this new restaurant in the Eureka Square in Pacifica. We tried the $1 per oyster special tonight (Tuesday). You could choose to have them raw, deep fried, or baked. We tried 4 raw and 3 fried ones and they were all very good. We each tried a 2-item bento for $11.95 ($3 extra to add 1 more item): 1 with tonkatsu and teriyaki chicken while the other with 3 pieces of sushi and 4 pieces of sashimi. Everything was good so we added a King California Roll ($4.95) with real crab meat. The service was good and we will definitely bring some friends back to try their $1 salmon sashimi special on Thursday. For those of you who like to drink, go there on Monday for their $1 sake or on Wednesday for their $1 beer. The decor is just an average strip mall restaurant, but the food is definitely worth a try!

Love their Bento boxes! They have the best beef terriyaki ever. Meat is tender and cooked right and is better than at most sushi places I've been to. Great food presentation and good service. Just a tip: Don't forget to look at the specials boards. They usually have really cool and interesting items not featured on the menu and are easy to miss!

Tried Go Sushi because of a recent Groupon. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a shopping center, but is very spacious inside. We came for lunch on a weekday and there were only a handful of other tables taken. The menu offered a wide selection of sushi and meal choices. The lunch prices were very reasonable and the sushi was fresh. The miso soup was above par and the handrolls used a crunchy seaweed paper- yummy!! Minus 1 star because the rolls were very heavy on the mayonnaise and sauces.

So I was trying to find a good delivery place that wasn't pizza and this place popped up. Decided to check them out on yelp and saw the good reviews and gave it a chance. So we ordered a 2 item bento with seasme chicken and shortribs and a tonkatsu dinner. Not trusting the whole "order online" I decided to call them to make sure the order was recieved. The phone rang and rang....and rang....and rang.....and rang.........and rang so I hung up and thought maybe they were closed but the say they are open 7 days a week. So I call again and let it ring....and ring and ring, I put them on speaker phone and let it ring and ring and ring and FINALLY someone picks up the phone after about a minute of ringing. I confirmed that they recieved my order and hung up. Delivery took about 45 minutes which is pretty normal for a delivery type service. So we start digging into the bag. Man what a disapointment....the short ribs in the bento didn't really taste like beef and was like trying to gnaw a piece of leather and the seasame chicken was kind of missing the seasame part of it. The tonkatsu was kind of tough with the panko falling off of every piece and a couple of the nubs looked like they had been deep fried to death. In one of the salads one of the carrot strand was really off tasting, most likely had gone bad. The overall quality of the food was just poor and with the off tasting carrot it really causes me to question the safety of the food products they keep. Overall....never going to eat at this place again. Usually I'm willing to give a place a second chance but when the overall meal was this bad I don't think the second time would be any better.

I like this place. I think the decor is so charming and cute. It is definitely a local joint. It is true that there are tacky decorations to mask the once diner spot it was- however I find the effort put together worthy. It shows the history of the actual restaurant; at the same time, the evolution of a great sushi place. The waitresses are very nice and attentive. The ambiance is very relax and can be romantic. With the dim lighting and flaming sushi roll- I would recommend this as a go to date place for locals if you want to charm your partner without going broke. It's not too loud and too crowded so you can get your romance on easily! The rolls are good. I personally don't like a lot of sauces on my rolls and this place tends to be very generous with it. If the fish wasn't fresh, I would say: drizzle it! However, their fish are fresh and their sashimi is good. Portions are good and prices are very reasonable. You can expect to see me here more often. If you do, say Hi to me! Try their flaming rolls and their sashimi.

I've had pretty good experience with this place but what's consistent is that it takes a while for your food to be served. I don't know if it's the lack of servers or cooks that's causing that. I love the bento boxes and the go sushi roll. So good! The fried banana with ice cream is a must-try too!

I like this joint. It's a cool place to chill with friends unlike that box Ocean Fish. Do me a favor people and order the chicken katsu curry, most ignoramuses don't know the Japanese have curries, but they do, and it's the best curries on earth, honestly this joint has a desent curry I've had better Japanese curries than this, but it's still good and I still recommend it. I would give this joint a 3.5 but you can't give 1/2 stars so I rounded.

I went on the very unbusy night there were four other people in The restaurant. I ordered agadahshi tofu The spinach with sesame sauce And tekka maki, The first two orders came out within 10 minutes. The spinach was so small I asked what happened to the rest of it And then I finally asked the girl if she could get the other half of my order in the next half hour or so. She brought it out and apologized. The bill was $20 . There was so little food I had to eat later when I got home. Pathetic will be coming back

First, I really want to like these small neighborhood places as these mom and pop places struggle in a competitive environment... so I feel bad whenever I write these with honest sincere intentions. Service here was good, sushi however is on par with Komei buffet. The hamachi belly sashimi was frozen and had NO favor or taste at all, you can even taste the frozen middle section. Hamachi belly should be filled with flavor and taste... which is not the case here. The same goes for Salmon sake. At $14 for a large order these cuts were miniscule, equivalent to 3-4 pieces at a good sushi restaurant (see my review Sushi Sam in San Mateo). So its a marketing numbers game they are playing. Cooked food was much better as my sons had chicken teryaki and tempura. This place is buried in the back of a strip mall, meaning it needs to cater to locals (which I am), or be a destination place. Unfortunately they really need to step up their game to retain customers. If we go to these places via Groupon or some means, and it turns out to be a bust, will we ever go back?

Today we had the Sushi Boat: that's 12 pieces of assorted Sashimi (3x each generous fresh slices of: light Hamachi, red Tuna, white Wahoo, and Salmon), 8 pieces Sushi (2x each of Tuna, Hamachi, Salmon, and Shrimp), 6 pieces of California Roll [very good] and 6 pieces of Spicy Tuna Roll [excellent] I have to say: the salmon was so very buttery and fresh. I really hate fishiness and can taste it a mile off. There was absolutely no mushiness or mustiness. Just fresh clean wonderful sashimi. This dish was beautifully served in a stunning wooden boat (pictures to come) and was a really terrific value as well as fresh fresh fresh! Again the miso soup, normally so ordinary and ho hum, is served with lots of tasty sea weed and even enoki mushrooms. The small salad was OK but not exceptional. This place definitely is on our list of one of the best sushi places in Pacifica, and certainly going to be our first choice for value and freshness combined. You GO Sushi!

Very unhappy with past experiences, we wanted to give it another chance but once again extremely disappointed. Our first attempt was after an important family gathering, and we all wanted some sushi. With a party of 13, you'd think they'd want to make a little extra effort, but this wasn't the case one bit. We had reservations for 7:30, and upon arrival were told they were clearing the table and they couldn't seat us for 10 more minutes. " ok no problem" long story short, we waited outside for 1 hour and 20 minutes total, and every time we went in and asked how much longer, the rude hostess responded with "just a couple more minutes". As 8:50 arrived, our party decided this was absolutely unacceptable, and didn't want to give then our business, so ended up ordering some late night pizza. We have also experienced some bad delivery experiences, including moldy tasting seafood, and small portions. Bottom line: don't eat here!

I thought the food was terrific. Ordered their Veggie tempura and sweet potato tempura rolls. Loved how their hot tea was Genmaicha which is my favourite green tea blend. And to finish things off I ordered the Lychee Sake cocktail. The waitress was friendly but she maybe overdid it a bit with the constant asking of how we were doing. I think it must have been at least 5-6 times in the span of 30 minutes. I really shouldn't complain though because Ive been to enough places where the exact opposite happens and I don't see the server until the check is ready. the icing on the sundae was that they had great music playing in the background. As I was enjoying my rolls I was taken back to simpler times when the likes of the Beatles, The Cranberries, Don Mclean, and Carly Simon filled the air.

Staff was super friendly and came by to check on us several times which i liked. the food was pretty good. i had the bento combination (teri chicken, steak and tempura) and i was satisfied. My 4year old had the house ramen. It's was just ok for it not being a ramen shop. 2 thin slices of pork, half a egg and a lot of napa cabbage. I didn't get a chance to try the sushi, perhaps on my next visit.

Food is pretty good and nice presentation. We have come in for lunch a few times they do have a daily special, ordered take out, and dinner about a week ago. I don't know if they were extremely busy, short staffed or this is how they run, but the service was terrible. We waited to be sat for almost 10 mins while plenty of tables sat dirty for a really long time, some the whole hour we were there and no staff acknowledgement. We ordered three items and after being there for an hour and not having received our third item we decided to leave. I hope this was a one time thing, because the food is actually good.

Worst customer service ever!!!! So we order food on a holiday so I expected the longer delivery time so not an issue at all. My wife placed the order and we both listened as the lady read back the order. When the order shows up it is wrong, I nicely call the place back and she says oh well its not her fault. I said well i want my soup, to which she says fine but she wants the wrongly delivered item back and the extra two dollars that the soup costs. Seriously what happened to "Sir we are sorry we will get you the item you ordered and bring it right out". The other issue I ask is what are they going to do with the item they are taking back. I hope no one ordered the Tunuki Roll tonight because it may have been at my house first. I am guessing that improper food control could come from redelivered food. Maybe someone should contact the local HEALTH Dept.. Can we guess why I will never order from here again.

We live just 5 minutes away. My husband has a thing against it, he doesn't believe in good sushi outside of San Francisco. Even though his experience is 80% positive at Go Sushi, he still makes a face when I bring it up :) I don't remember it being that good when it opened, but it feels like since they ran restaurant.com and groupon/livingsocial deals, they accumulated larger customer base, thus fish turnover got higher, which means fish is fresher. I don't like experimenting with my sushi, unless it's a roll to share and I try a piece. Other than that, I get spicy tuna hand roll, hotategai, sake, amaebi, hamachi, and uni nigiri sushi. They are always great here!!! I'm picky about my uni, since I know how live tastes, but even that is decent at Go Sushi! Plus they deliver to our porch, which is awesome!

I wont be ordering from her anymore. Second time I had a problem with my online order. First time they were way later than the scheduled time of delivery. No sorry, no something free next order. This time I order online, schedule my delivery and nothing. Fifteen minutes after the scheduled time, I call and they say they never received my order, and now we are closed. So I waited 1hr 15min for nothing. They just lost my business. I like to keep local, but they do not make me happy. zero stars...(they make you click 1 star, I wouldn't if I didn't have to)

It's ok, but they never give extra wasabi & ginger when asked. Always check your bag before you leave!!!

Having lived on the coast for most of my life, it almost feels like I have already found the best of everything. I tried Go Sushi for the first time about 3 months ago after I had received a flyer on my door that they deliver. Sushi delivery? For sure, I had to go check this place out and see if my wildest fantasies could come true. The inside of Go Sushi is nothing special. You have the typical decorations, odd music selection and large flat screen TV with sports usually playing. But who cares about all that when you have their extensive menu and tasty dishes. I admit I haven't been all that adventurous when it comes to roll selection other than having tried all the hot rolls. (I have a weakness for HOT!) The Mons roll is my favorite of those, although not the hottest. They offer their non-sushi meals (which are amazingly priced) as appetizer, lunch or dinner sizes. I HIGHLY recommend the Salmon or the Yellowtail Kama, something I had never even heard of before; the meat is divine. Also, you can upgrade any order to brown rice for .50, a nice option. Everything is extremely reasonably priced, drinks included. Not to mention my two favorite specials: Wednesday $1 beer night ($2 for the super huge bottles) and Thursday $1 Salmon Sashimi night. So far it's been an addiction and I have abandoned my usual place in HMB. I still haven't had delivery yet, but I'll update when I do. :)

We will NOT be returning. We should have known from the empty parking lot and empty dinning room, but we had a coupon from Groupon and figured we'd try it. At first, we were pleasantly surprised. That quickly turned into regret. We were seated quickly, and our drink orders were taken. We were given time to place our order. Our appetizer came in a timely manner. There were 3 of us, and 3 croquettes. The waitress, different from the one who took our order, comes over and takes away the ginger we were eating and the dish that had the dipping sauce. It was clear we were all using it, and she didn't even ask before taking it. Finally the main dishes come out, and they tasted very good. One was so good, we decided to order another one. That was the mistake. We only ordered one more roll.... and it took as long to come out as our main order. Really? For one roll? As we were waiting for that one roll, another waitress comes out, and stares at us. Finally she said "So.... are you guys done?" I told her we were waiting for another roll, and she just rolled her eyes and went on her way. FINALLY the roll came out, it was one we had ordered earlier, and tasted totally different. It tasted as if it were missing ingredients, tasted old, and you could tell it was thrown together as if they didn't care. We spent almost $100, you would think they would have given us good service. We were going to order dessert too, but figured it would take 30 minutes just to get it, and wanted to quickly get out before more attitude came our way. So, overall.... inconsistant food, horrible service, and bad attitudes. I guess they really did need the Groupon just to get people in the door.

Great delivery and in house sushi. Lunch special rocks only 6.99! Chicken teriyaki was a tiny bit dry, but good price.

Delivery: Fast, never late, always delicious. The last time we ordered, they gave us a nice surprise; a crazy faced Oishii roll in a container ^_^. They never cease to amaze.

They do free delivery for a minimum $20. I chose a variety of dishes for $22 and it was plenty for two. The sushi was fresh and the tempura crunchy and the shrimp and vegetables were well cooked. I would definitely return.

Gahhhh why did you fail me Go Sushi!!!! I gave it 2 chances to clear up it's problems but the first was ordering a 49ers roll and getting a sloppy roll with no lemon. The second was getting a sashimi combo and getting what appeared to be a Nigiri combo with a nasty ass hair from i don't even want to know what region on the tuna?! THAT'S MY FAVORITE ONE! Both times it was too late to do anything because it was ordered for takeout but now I'm scared to eat in at the risk of eating on unwashed dishes or something else strange. Sorry Go Sushi, I think we need a break, promise to not sleep with the dude from the copy place. Maybe after a sardine pizza and other Friend's era coping we can get through this and have a brighter future together.

This review is pretty strictly for delivery. I moved here 7 years ago from Arizona and was so excited that there was such a thing as sushi delivery. We used to order from other places until we realized what good sushi delivery is, and now we are strictly Go Sushi fans. My husband loves hot Japanese food and I like sushi. We both love Miso soup, which we get every time from here. Go Sushi has some of the best Miso. Hubs is always happy with his bento boxes he gets. He doesn't like the salad there, but loves their rice so he gets double rice and they always do it right. I love their crunch rolls, but as a previous review said, you have to specifically order real crab. I also get their spicy tuna, and Tanuki rolls. For those of you that are not familiar with the Tanuki roll, it is not real sushi by any means. It is however delicious. I get it with brown rice. It is rice, cream cheese and tempura flakes and topped with I think eel sauce. I'm obsessed. Delivery does take awhile. We usually order about an hour before we want to eat, even though they are less than 5 minutes away from us. Another good thing is they have free items if you order enough. I think the first level is a california roll or edamame at the $25 mark and then spicy tuna roll or egg roll at the $35 mark and so on. I don't really get all the negative reviews for this place, maybe if I actually ate there. Like I said, the only con is delivery time for me...waiting on my order now...soo hungry.

Overall i didn't think the fish was very fresh, the atmosphere was kinda old, a little fruity with paper laterns and old carpet. The sushi came out pretty slow.. one by one....The restaurant was only 1/3 full.. and it was pretty slow... although the waitress was nice. I like their specials.. With the $1 menus- Sake on monday, oysters on tuesday, beer on wednesday, thursday sashimi.. and fri-sun is wine specials..Tonight we had free soy beans! We got the lion king roll. It was uneventful, a bit soggy, not as hot and fresh as we hoped. around $9. $1 oyster for Tuesday special. The oyster was fresh. However it was kinda small and the sauce they put on there was a bit too sweet for my taste. $15 sashimi combo.. the sashimi was comparable to super market pre packed quality..kinda dry, very uneventful. The hit of the evening was the banana fried ice cream $5. I would just order that for now. It was crunch, the green tea ice cream was right on the spot. i'm not sure about all their other rolls.. for some reason, it looks like its drenched in mayo/ fried sauces/ greasy stuff. urgh! overall the bill still came out to be around $24 per person. pretty expensive for blah sushi.

My fiance's children (who have lived in this area their entire lives) love this place and because I am a recent transplant, I'm trying to work my way through all the restaurants on the coastside and this was one I had yet to hit. Fiance and I went on Sunday evening - advising them that we were in a bit of a rush (not wanting to miss the return of Breaking Bad). We ordered a wide variety of items to share, each one more forgettable than the last: - Goma-ae: Wrong dressing entirely. I think they just put their regular miso dressing on frozen spinach and sprinkled sesame seeds on top for affect. - Soft shell crab: Overly breaded and mostly flavorless. Honestly, it seemed as though panko crumbs were just molded into a crab shape. - Bento box with tempura, salmon teriyaki, and sashimi: Felt as though the tempura had been fried several hours before and slightly re-heated; very thin and chewy salmon, and three meagre slices of sashimi, the best of which - surprisingly - was the toro. The mound of rice was cold. - Baked oysters: I didn't try these... I am working on an oyster book so the bivalves get ordered wherever we go, but my fiance IMMEDIATELY spit out the one in his mouth and told me to be glad he had just taken one for the team, they were so bad. I smelled one and immediately return it to the platter. When we returned them, apparently the kitchen staff were smelling them too, but I don't know if they could tell how bad the aroma was. - 49er Roll: Topped with salmon, we sort of picked that fish on top off to eat because - for the life of us - we couldn't figure out what was inside the roll. It was dark and slightly crunchy. I think it *might* have been slivered, fried bacon but it was so hard and chewy as to be inedible. Overall, the place is dank and desperately needs a remodel. There is dirt on the floor, the wallpaper is peeling off the walls, and the fake flower centerpieces are dusty. To the server's credit, she removed several items from the final bill and tried to apologize, offering us a complimentary ice cream desert. We politely declined (Walter White was waiting, after all!) but the real injury came early the next morning and throughout the following day, in how unsettled both I and my fiance felt. I think the kids like it because they deliver - at least to their Mom's house - but we won't ever be eating there with them...

I really really enjoyed my meal here. Ordered a 3 item bento box. I like the option of choosing what items you want to eat. And they have quite a variety from which to choose. I got the agedashi tofu, tempura, and sesame chicken. The fam also ordered a Walnut Dragon Roll to share. I had never seen something like this offered at a sushi restaurant!!!! I love honey walnut shrimp at Chinese restaurants and this roll carried the same flavors and taste. It was so delicious--each piece came with a huge candied walnut on top. I would definitely order this again. The tempura that came with my bento was probably the best tempura I've had. It was perfectly crisp and the battered shrimp and veggies weren't greasy at all. And it was nice and hot - overall, just perfect bites each time! Agedashi tofu was standard--had a good amount of bonito flakes and sauce. Sesame chicken was good too. None of those pieces where it's too overcooked or chewy. It was done well. The rest of the fam seemed to enjoy their meals as well (bentos and entrees). I'll be back! Although, I must say--the service is quite slow.

Got a living social deal so decided to check this place out. Service is friendly, but slow. The place needs major updating. Green carpet with pinks shells or fans....is tacky. Pretty big menu selection Food was alright. The hand rolls were really good and fresh. Spicy tuna could be spicer and the salmon came with only one tiny avacado. Got the hamachi kama dinner, which came with salad, rice, and soup. The small size was pretty big, but it was a lil under cooked and not enough flavor to me. The hubby said his 3 item bento was ok too. Short ribs, beef terayaki, and chicken katsu...great meat combo for the hubby, but really little of each. The pink dragon roll was huge with nice presentation. Don't think I would come back.

I just moved into the area and wanted to try this place out. Boy, was I mad! The food is expensive, not good quality at all and the service is horrible. I tried it a second time, just to see if maybe they had an "off" day, NOT AT ALL- so pissed I actually spent my money here, again!

It's Sake Sunday!!! Did you know? It's a day I invented after several visits to Go Sushi on Sundays. They have sake specials, standard hot & cold sake, and 2-3 slightly more interesting sake. We end up eating here around 2-3 times a month, so I think it's time I reviewed this odd-duck lunch spot. The ambiance has a comfortable old diner feeling, with *extremely* faded weird pink & green carpet, fake pink flowers and paper lanterns. Music is shockingly bad - easy listening, with or without words, that never ceases to amaze us. We come for the food - certainly not the best Japanese ever - but consistently good and with pleasant servers who remember us. Sushi/sashimi is decent. My husband pretty much always orders the hamachi sashimi and hamachi kama, both of which are top dishes here. I vary between nigiri, sashimi and occasionally a roll. When I'm wanting comfort food, the oyako don is heavenly, as well as their average version of cha shu ramen. Minus 1 star for the seriously stinky bathroom. I think it's a stage set for Moldy-Mop and the Three Spores.

Went here on a Monday afternoon for an early dinner after a beautiful hike around the Pacifica beaches. Restaurant is located in the corner of an unassuming strip mall. Seated promptly and politely, I immediately had booth envy from couples sitting in the cozy, dimly-lit booths along the wall. Try to snag one of those! We decided to start with edamame ($3, enough for 2), and a California roll ($4, also enough for 2, even though I scarfed it in solitude). The roll could definitely have had more avocado, but was otherwise pretty standard. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki entree ($8.50), and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Katsu entree ($8.50). The affordability was on the money, but my chicken had a decent amount of skin on it that I ended up picking off of my meal half-way through. The katsu was tasty and good, and would satisfy a craving, though I wouldn't go out of my way for it. To end the night, we ordered the Fried Rice Ball with red bean inside ($4 for 5 pieces, leading to the inevitable last-piece battle between 2 people). Very little red bean inside, but the strawberry glaze on top was a great touch. Probably okay to skip dessert or search for it elsewhere. A solid experience, and worth stopping in if you're jonesing for Japanese. To wow your date, though, you might want to think outside the strip mall.

I would take 1 star off for their lazy decor but luckily their food was great! Stumbled over the place while waiting for our guns to arrive at Pacific City Arms gun store near by. And decided to have a quick bite. Pacific roll and Crunchy hamachi rolls we ordered were very delicious. Uni were very fresh. They service 5 pieces just on a place. I would believe it is a great local take out place.

It's ok. Not the freshest but they have a big variety. Other sushi places in Pacifica, in my opinion, are way better. Still if you have a big party of people, they can handle you.

I ordered online for delivery but I am pretty sure they didn't see my order or forgot about it. An hour after I placed my order I called to check and it wasn't until 30 minutes later that they showed up. The sauce spilled all over the bag during delivery as well. The food was fine, but it wasn't made great (the sushi didn't stay together well). The Walnut Dragon Roll was an interesting flavor, it was sweet. I got the tempura as well and it was a bit heavy for my taste.

I've ordered from Go Sushi many times in the past and always been happy with the food and service, but today was bad enough that I'll never go there or order from them again. At 1:50 PM I placed an order for delivery for potstickers, tempura, a side of rice, and a spicy tuna roll. Around 2:10 they delivered everything but the spicy tuna roll. There were little pen marks next to each item on the receipt except the roll, so it looked like maybe when they'd been checking items off they had just missed the last one or something. When I called to ask for the rest of my food, they insisted that they had made the roll, the driver had it, and that they would have him call me. The driver called and said he put the food in the bag, basically suggesting that we were lying about not receiving the food. We asked him to check if he still had it in his car, call the restaurant, etc. At 3:00 we called the restaurant again and told them we still hadn't received the rest of our order. They claim that they made a new roll and that the driver is already on his way, but it's now 3:15 and no one has shown up. I'll be filing a chargeback and sticking with Ocean Fish from now on.

Maybe my expectations are high because there are so many good Japanese restaurants in San Francisco, but I left Go Sushi feeling disappointed. I really wanted to like it--the reviews were good, the service was attentive, the prices were reasonable, and the location is nice (near the ocean)--but none of that can make up for less than tasty food. The sushi was slightly better than the prepackaged stuff you can get at the grocery store, and that's the most positive thing I can say... It's kind of downhill from there: The agedashi tofu was bland and limp (no crunch to the fried part), the miso soup powdery, the salad dressing very mayo-heavy (I guess that's not a negative if you're into mayo), and I'm pretty sure the fried gyoza was of the frozen variety that you can pop in the microwave...Honesty, I don't understand the rave reviews...

    (2)
  • Glynis D.

Very easy to order online! Showed up on time and with all the items ordered. All the food was good, except the Gyoza was burnt. Also, you need to ask for real crab, otherwise you get imitation krab. But, there food is generally very tasty. I will be back!

My husband and I were in the area and decided to give this sushi place a try. We were having a late lunch around 3pm, so we didn't expect the place to be busy. Upon entering the establishment, there was not a single patron inside the restaurant just the employees. And they promptly seated us as soon as we walked in. That was about the only attentive service we got the entire time we were there. We had to flag the waitress down several times, you would think we would get great service since there were no other patrons there. Nope! And every time we did flag her down she sounded very bored and "whatever" type of attitude. We ordered 3 sushi rolls and 1 appetizer. We ordered the Mon Roll, Plum Blossom Roll and the Red Heart Roll. The extent of the "sauces" for these rolls were mainly Sriracha sauce. And that was the extent of the "spiciness". I wish there was more cream sauces to these rolls like some of the Yelp pictures show. But i've never seen the sauce be only Sriracha sauce, we thought that was odd. The sizes of the pieces were on the smaller size but not too unreasonable. The fish was pretty tasteless, but looked okay on the freshness. Just not the highest quality fish is what I think. OH and get this... the Plum Blossom Roll that we ordered that was suppose to have spicy crab meat topped.... I'm pretty sure is NOT real crab meat. It's imitation crab flakes. Like the ones you get at safeway... really?! That was pretty shocking. Bleh I've had better, definitely Barracuda still has my heart.

If there was a half star option I would take off one half star for the service. Service was slow but friendly. We had the dragon roll which was delicious. I also ordered the plum roll which is basically a rock n roll with spicy crab on top...very yummy!! I used to come here with my BFF years ago. It had a different name and slightly different decor. I remember an autographed photo of Rob Schneider in the old establishment. Good location and good food! Right now if you check in you get a free ice cream! Woohoo!

I am writing this review based on my most recent experience at Go Sushi. As you may be gathering from several of the reviews, the food at this particular Japanese restaurant (especially the rolls) is great, but the service is atrocious. I took a friend to eat at this restaurant tonight, and I ordered three rolls with dinner. It took forever for the rolls to come, and they only brought two. The third they brought to the table next to us, something we only found out from the couple eating there later when they mentioned they had received their roll (the same one I ordered) right after ordering it, but none of the rest of their food had come. So the waitress brought out the roll that was meant for them, and they said they'd received it already, and the waitress was confused and walked back. I sort of knew what was going on, and honestly I was curious what they were going to do. The waitressed walked out again with the same roll on the same plate and talked to the head hostess before going back again. Meanwhile, another waitress came out and began cleaning our table. This whole process took about ten minutes, during which they had clearly forgotten about me. Finally, the waitress came out again and asked if there was anything else I wanted. I said I was still waiting for a roll. She asked which one, and I told her, and she said she would ask the chef. She went back and FINALLY brought out the plate that she was offered to the other table, and said, "The chef just finished this." It was absurd. I responded: "That was not just finished. I've sat here watching you walking around with it for the past ten minutes. It's been sitting there in the back, and you forget that I never got what I'd ordered." She was confused, and said she'd ask the chef. Now, in a normal restaurant, with good customer service, what would happen would be that the waitress would apologize for taking so long to bring the particular dish, and comp it. But this waitress comes back out again and says, "The chef says that the roll you saw us walking around with was for a to-go order." IT WAS THE EXACT SAME ROLL. IT HAD BEEN SITTING THERE IN THE BACK. The whole thing was a farce. Really, I didn't care, but I don't like being lied to. I asked her to take it back and take it off the bill. She said no problem (she knew she was full of it, frankly). So she brings the bill, and the roll is still on there. Ridiculous. Again, the food, if it EVER COMES, is awesome, but the service is terrible.

Used my groupon for this Sushi Place last Friday night. This sushi place is delish. They have a wide variety of fun Sushi Rolls. For starters, we always get the Agedashi with sauce on the side, Sapporo Beer and unfiltered Sake. For the Sushi Rolls, we ordered the Firecracker roll, Sake sashimi and Lion King Roll. The Firecracker roll was simply delicious and came out with a flame in the middle which was pretty cool. I love the fact the Firecracker roll was not heavy on the mayonnaise. The Sake Sashimi was very fresh and the Lion King roll was amazing. After we paid the check, they gave us a coupon for our next visit. Definitely coming back here again if I have a hankering for Sushi next time.

Great sushi. A little expensive but definitely worth it. Great service. My boyfriend really likes how they give big tea cups instead of small ones so you don't run out of tea too quickly. I like coming to this sushi place because it's always so chill and quiet. Never too loud and never too busy. Unless there's a party but that's besides the point. I definitely recommend.

Great sushi! My favorite so far is the King of California Roll with real king crab. It's definitely worth the extra $1 to upgrade to the real crab. One of the sushi rolls, I forget the name, was served in flames...makes for an exciting time. What really seals the deal with this sushi place is there daily specials on drinks/etc. How can you go wrong with $1 japanese beers on Wednesday night. That's a reason alone to check this place out.

Just moved to pacifica and this is a great sushi place. Everything was delicious. Only thing I can complain about it is the fact that they were not very clear when dropping off the rolls and told us a roll was something when it was something else.

With mixed reviews I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Funky little place with old 70s and 80s decore. Cooking shows on muted TV and busy for sat night. Sushi was fair and prices were average but the service left much to be desired. I left early after waiting for a crazy long time for one of my orders. Had it taken off the bill. With Soooo many restaurants.. This is one I see no need to return to.

Pretty good sushi and other food. Service ranges from too-busy-chatting/texting-friends to adequate. Come here if it is convenient, otherwise make the drive to some other sushi place in Pacifica. Decor is old and tired.

We eat here pretty much every week. The gyoza and sake sushi is very consistent and made to perfection. Ebi sushi highly recommend. Servers are excellent most of the time, even the new hires during their training. Will keep coming back as other sushi places in Pacifica have not been very consistent. I even got a Valentine's gift from the staff, how sweet.

I LOVE coming to this sushi place, I've only had one bad experience where our waiter forgot to give us one of our rolls. But besides that, they have great variety, they are attentive of what we need, it's reasonably priced, my boyfriend and I have tried a couple of sushi places, but we always come back to this place just because it's amazing.

I like Go Sushi. They always let us come in and eat, even as a group of 15 arriving 10 minutes before closing (hey, there aren't THAT many options in P-Town!) Quick service, and consistent food. I love the Mon Roll, and tried a Red Heart Roll that was FIRE! Actually served in the shape of hearts and featured Sriracha! Plus, my boyfriend, who is a non sushi eater ( it doesn't fill him up), actually will eat the bento box I created for him (Here's what you order a picky eater at a Japanese restaurant -Double Katsu and Veggie tempura, DUH). Seriously, I often fiend for Sushi and Go Sushi is 2 minutes from my house. They have the standard fare, serve it quickly and at a reasonable price. They automatically get 3 stars for existing in Pacifica! Please Note : All ratings for restaurants in Pacifica are based on an IN PACIFICA scale. A 5 star in Pacifica does not equate a 5 star in San Francisco. Options in Pacifica are limited and therefore, businesses are rated as such!

Only dang sushi joint open all day. I love Pacifica so I'm just pumped one is here for my wacky 3pm lunch hour. Chopsticks: plastic... Ask for wood Ginger: I'm so picky, just perfect (ate a giant glob... Seal of Approval) Salmon: average. Which isn't half bad for Cali because the quality will never match Seattle's. Price: good.

This is a good Japanese place if you are looking for variety, as they offer an extensive menu compared to other places that I've been to, but the quality is not always that great. Their chicken katsu and their tonkasu for example, somehow taste like they are of a lower quality compared to other places that I've been to. I didn't really like the cleanliness of the restaurant, I've been there on occasions in which they had just cleaned up the tables and maybe the floors too, and the smell is just really bad, it can be hard to eat in an environment like that. I do however, like their bento boxes, I think that they do offer many selections, and so far I haven't had a problem. Oh, the prices! They are quite reasonable (my favorite things about this place, actually), and they offer free items if you order your food to go. And I gotta mention their lunch deals, many dishes for $6.99, my favorite is the chicken teriyaki that comes with california rolls too, most places charge me at least $11- $15 for chicken teriyaki and it usually only comes with rice, salad, and soup, so this is a great deal!

The food is alright. The customer service stinks. Me , wife and Jacob are eating dinner. We ordered fine enough, also we ordered a to go roll. So we can eat and go. Every couple of minutes we get is everything o.k. which was fine. But once we finish our meal and get ready to go, We asked about our to go order. Well 25 minutes later we finally get our to go order. Really this was suppose to be ready before we got our bill. several other tables get their food before we get our to go order. What pisses me off the most is we did not even get an explanation or a Sorry. Don't come here. I will never come back.

Ordered the edamame, crab and cheese wonton (crab rangoon), philly roll and King california crunch roll. Delivery took 1.5 hours. Edamame was cold/undercooked. King california crunch roll is deep fried and was soggy. Crab and cheese wonton had no cheese and way too much grease making the wonton soggy. Philly roll was actually ok, just basic salmon and cream cheese. No cuke, no avocado. $25 for shit sushi. It's not worth the price of the sushi, it's not that great. It's definitely not worth my time waiting 1.5 hours for lunch on a Wednesday! I wonder how long it would take on a Saturday night for delivery. Maybe I would get it by breakfast on Sunday?

I find Pacifica restaurants eerie (no restaurant is ever busy, but always open. Weird, right?), but this place was pretty terrible even with the lowered expectations. I used to order from Go Sushi all the time and go there for quick dinners. The last two times I have ordered from there, it has taken almost two hours for my simple delivery of Chicken Teriyaki and a sushi roll to be delivered. Whenever I called, they offered me free food, but all I really wanted was an appropriately timed meal that doesn't require two follow up calls.

3rd visit since last review, last two visits were good except for the tiny sushi, this visit was not good, service was poor again, the waitress repeated our order but never wrote down or served our two orders of bomb rolls (really!???) fresh raw oysters were not fresh!

Really disappointed. This is what I get for NOT listening to the majority of the reviews on here. The Sushi is a little pricey and seriously has no taste at all, tried a couple different types of rolls and they all just tasted like rice. Really disappoint will not be coming back.

Horrible service! One of the male servers (gay Asian dude) has to be one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. The mediocre sushi isn't worth the terrible service. Save your money and time.

Hidden little gem in Pacifica! I occasionally search for an after-workout meal when leaving 24 Hour Fitness up the street, and this may be one of my new spots. Their Chicken Katsu Curry is amazing and reminds me of Curry house in Hawaii. And best of all, they are open all day (no transition from lunch to dinner). Located in the very back of this strip mall, I will definitely be here again.

Massive menu. Consistent quality. Some of their special rolls are the best I've had. Miso is tasty and fresh. Appetizers always good. Also in love with their hand rolls. Service for dining in restaurant is incredibly slow. We always have to wave down a server for water, napkins, the check... However, this can be nice when dining with a large crowd as they won't rush you to leave. Minus a star for a horrible delivery order. Took an hour and a half for delivery. Order was incorrect when delivered. Really ruined the dinner experience.

Had their tempura combo plate after an evening at the local watering hole (Winter's Tavern, they're also great), food was amazing, nice big portions which you don't always get at sushi places. Tempura was done amazingly well, lightly crispy but by no means over-cooked. I personally would have put a bit more tofu in the miso soup, but overall everything was amazing!

If there were to be a single word to describe this *sushi* restaurant, the best word would be: incompetence. If you were to try to grab a bite here, you would get a better meal hunting dead bodies in the River Ganges. Between the servers who can't comprehend the simplest of tasks, and the cooks forgetting two orders, the foreigners attitude is less than cute.

Their Walnut Shrimp sushi is super delicious!! We all love it. Bento is so good, salad and miso soup are great! We had one of the best dinner in this Japanese Restaurant and the servers are friendly and nice. Will definitely come back again.

We ordered here for the first time last week and had a great experience we ordered 4 rolls and two wakame salads. The sushi was great fresh fish, great flavor. The wakame salad was okay, I have had better and was disappointed with it. From previous reviews we were worried about ordering but, decided to anyway; so glad we did. With our rolls we upgraded to the fresh snow crab for I think a dollar more, so worth it. Delivery was quick they gave estimated time of 40-50 minutes they were their closer to 30 minutes.

First off, we ordered our food for pick up. She said that it'll be done in 20 mins so I left the house in 15 mins and drove there .. Takes about 5 mins to drive there. We paid for our food and she said it will be done shortly. We waited and after 15 mins I asked her how long it will be done, she told me it will be done soon. so we waited for another 15mins and it should have been done at the time we got there. I asked a guy this time and he said let me check and walked to the back. And all the chefs and waiters looked up and looked at me after he went back there. Then he came out and gave me our food. Why did we have to wait an extra 30 mins on top of the 20 mins we already waited? They could have just told us 45mins, I wouldn't have left the house so early! Second, the poki and tempura that I ordered was not even fresh... AND my crunchy roll isn't even crunchy, it's soggy. Horrible service, don't think I'll be going back.

Sorry this was just not worth my money. Yay for delivery but The sushi rolls are so so so tiny. The batter on the tempura was dough-y and thick. Not my favorite, I don't think I'll be ordering from here again.

Go Sushi has a Poor in Health from the San Mateo county. "01/02/2013 ROUTINE /FACILITY STATUS POOR No rodents, insects, birds, or animals - OUT OF COMPLIANCE - Major " And I have a Visa receipt from the bottle of sake that I ordered but did not drink, so I did actually go here, though I was afraid to eat. I did not see their inspection posted, which they are legally obliged to post.

We ordered shrimp tempura, two philly rolls, and two king california rolls for delivery. The order took an hour to arrive. The sushi was standard and so so. BUT when the delivery guy got here he actually ASKED for a tip. Then he said, if I write the amount on the receipt he can just change the amount that was charged. After that experience, I'm ordering my sushi from somewhere else now.

My daughter and I love this restaurant. They offer brown rice if that's what you're looking for. I recently brought a friend and she loved it. In fact, she grabed a to-go menu since they also deliver within 10 miles. Their Arch Roll is to die for. Everything in their menu is good. They even have specials. Definitely have to go here and try everything. We will definitely be going back.

Uh oh. They have delivery - this may be dangerous for my boyfriend and I! We went there tonight and it was doing a good business, but we didn't have a wait to be seated or a wait to be served. The servers dealt with us efficiently and courteously - actually with humour. Even when we were "those" people who asked to be re-seated at the bar -because we changed our mind - not due to any fault on their side. The sake menu is relatively decent for a sushi place of this size and quality (so not one of those super fancy places where the sake list becomes as extended as the wine list at a French restaurant) and they had a second nigori available - not just the So Chiku Bai which is the most common nigori sake in the bay area. The gyoza met my requirements (no sogginess) and crispy on the outside and the sushi selection was vast. As we sat at the bar, we asked what the fresh/best seafood of the day was and the sushi chefs clued us in. (Sad to say I can't remember the name of what he told us - but my bf thinks it was sea urchin. It was definitely good - just the fish itself had more flavor and texture than some of the more elaborate rolls you can get out there. Which shows it doesn't hurt to ask! We were apparently hungry, as we ordered five other types of sushi and weren't disappointed by any of them. And with the sake (a bottle), the appetizers and A LOT of sushi, we still came out of it for a decent price (for the bay area!).

It's just not worth the wait anymore. We live just up the hill and were early adopters - hello....delivery sushi in Pacifica?! It was ok for awhile, quality has been up and down. But on a lazy night it'll do. Well, it used to, anyway. Twice in the past month we've placed an order to pick-up - pick-up because it allegedly only takes 20-25 minutes and it's on the way home. An HOUR later, both times, our food is ready. After they've assured me "two minutes, two minutes" time and time again. Frankly, it's gotten more expensive over the past year or two, and the quality has suffered. Bento boxes were their staple, and for awhile it was a reliable, cheap entree. But the chicken got disgusting, the tempura soggy. Briefly fell for the Halloween Roll, but by the time you get it, it's so mangled it's hardly worth the $14. Snow White roll is also yummy, but not $14 worth! It's fine for a neighborhood sushi joint. Nothing special. The restaurant is simple and feels like a hole in the wall, which I love. They always have the Giants game on the big screen TV. But it seems expensive for what you get. Just not sure it's worth it. Time to explore other sushi in Pacifica - hopefully that deliver. Any suggestions?

MY STOMACH IS STILL HURTING, A DAY LATER!!!! The boyfriend and I ordered delivery from Go Sushi, we didn't feel like going out to eat or cooking so delivery it was...BIG MISTAKE. IF ONLY I COULD TURN BACK TIME Our food arrived about an hour after ordering, and we we opened the box containing our "dinner" I was a little weary, the raw fish didn't look good. I should have listened to my gut feeling and should have NOT eaten it, if only I could turn back time. *BARF* An hour or so after eating, my stomach started to hurt extremely bad. So I turned to my trusty friend named "Pepto," I felt a little better and about an hour or so after turning to my friend I felt sick again. I started to sweat, and my heart was racing and had a sour taste in my mouth. I ran to the bathroom and OF COURSE I start throwing up, not just a little BUT A LOT. I can't recall a time where I've thrown up more than this!! STILL NOT A-OK I figured I'd be okay by morning and boy was I wrong. My stomach was making funny noises and I still felt nauseous, I tried eating breakfast and had to keep myself from throwing it back up! I've tried eating since then and I can't get rid of the nauseousness and abdominal cramps that have been keeping me from eating a full meal today. And if you're wondering, the BF is as well not feeling so great, though his symptoms aren't/ weren't as severe as mine. *sigh* CONCLUSION I think we all know what the conclusion is here, I will NEVER order from this place again. I have no idea what was wrong with the raw fish we ate, BUT I hope this NEVER happen to anyone else.

I stopped in for lunch his past Friday. There were two customers seated at tables and one customer waiting to pick up a go box. I stood waiting for a table and there was another couple behind me. There were three employees standing by the sushi bar chatting with each other. These employees looked over at the people waiting to be seated. They shrugged there shoulders and turned their backs toward us. I should for 7 to 10 minutes waiting. Then I left. If a meal starts off with that kind of attitude..well I'd just prefer to go to Ocean Fish which is just a few blocks away. I can be assured of quality service at Ocean Fish even when their restaurant is full of customers. What an attitude for an empty restaurant!!!

Extremely disappointed... This used to be my go to sushi place since they deliver... I'm not sure what happened this evening, but the BF placed an order at 6:07pm... We patiently waited for the 45min to an hour time frame (7pm) and still hadn't received our food... The BF decided to call at 7:30 and inquire... We were told the delivery went out and the lady would try and see where it was (my guess they forgot the order)... But we thought okay if the delivery already went out and we are only 3 miles away it shouldn't be more than 10mins. 10 min later, still no food and no phone call to let us know where the delivery guy was... So we called back again, the response we got was that she tried to call the delivery person 2x, but no response... There was no "I'm sorry, how can we make this up to you"... At this point we decided to cancel the order, it was now 2 hours since the order was placed... The lady's response was " the delivery was already on the way"... So we replied with, "we will just send him back to you when/if he gets here"... Good customer service would dictate an offer of half off for the wait or an additional roll next purchase, however we got none of that... The driver showed up, we sent him back with the food... Still no call back with an apology or any effort to salvage a customer... We know he called the restaurant back when we turned him away, since he was in the car for a good 5mins before leaving... Not sure I would return... It's now after 8pm and the BF and I are having Taco Bell (guess I saved $30) DISAPPOINTED!!!! What happened to service... Even if they were busy and going to be late on the delivery (we were okay with the hour and a half) a phone call to let us know you'd be late or apology after the fact was all it would have taken...

Great Americanized sushi spot in Pacifica, but well executed in my opinion. Nestled between a bar and a local grocery store this place I can easily say is a hidden gem in the area. Not too many sushi spots in this part of Pacifica so it stands out in a big way. It can be easily overlooked in the plaza, but it's a spot I don't regret trying. The restraunt size is pretty big. Lots of tables and booths which I found great. The tables in the middle seem to be floating in open space, but not really a complaint. Sometimes just looks odd, but the spacing allows privacy which I always a valuable commidity in a resto. Overall a clean place. Tables not sticky. Clean carpteted floors. Warm feeling with mood lighting. The food portion is really not bad. Rolls, plates, and bento boxes were filling, fresh, and good. I've tried all three and I don't have complaints at all when it comes to the food and the quality. Rolls weren't heavy on the rice like some places have. The wasabi could have a better kick to it but that's a minor complaint. I can't say the food didn't look fresh. I've been here 4 times and never gotten sick, haven't ate something distasteful, nothing like that. Service was great. Non intruding and didn't screw any orders up. Always on queue, accurate, and curtious. No complaints.

Came here recently and i must say that the food here was terrific. Had the sushi boat which was a bit on the pricey side but i must say it was all worth it. The restaurant is located inside the plaza in the back left corner, Got a tad bit lost for a couple minutes at first, all good though cause the food was worth it. Will come back here soon =)

After calling Sushi Raw for delivery and getting no answer for about the tenth time, we decided to try Go Sushi. We've never gone back! Go Sushi is really fresh and they deliver quickly (and always answer the phone!). We haven't been to the restaurant; we've only ordered delivery, but there's never been a problem with our order. We call them once or twice a week. It feels like a bargain too: shrimp tempura, several sushi rolls, and three California rolls for about $30.

Came here at around 5PM on a weekday. We were the only people in the place. We ordered our rolls, got them within 10 minutes, had check ups on if we were doing okay, used the check in deal to get free ice cream, paid, and left. Overall, the only thing that stood out was that my firecracker roll was actually on fire when they gave it to me, which I thought was pretty cool. Nothing else stood out, but nothing was really that bad, so i'll definitely drop by for the lunch special the next time i'm in the area.

They had a groupon deal shortly after I moved within walking distance so I thought I'd give it a try. As some reviewers have noted, the decor is kind of lame and the service wasn't great but... everything I ate was amazing! My friends and I shared the Caterpillar Roll, the Lion King Roll, the Mon Roll and the Pink Lady Roll. Go Sushi works for me as it's clean, close to home and delicious!

I was skeptical at first because the sushi place that was there before them was lousy. Since I was craving sushi and they were the only place open on New Year's Day, we decided to go there. The food was excellent, with a clean and stylish presentation. Service was pretty fast and the staff was so nice and attentive. I was stuffed for the entire rest of the day. Also, their dessert menu was amazing. They had delicious green tea cheese cake! Yum!

Came here through a Groupon deal. I liked the area this restaurant is located in, close to the ocean and a short drive away from the Pacifica beaches and Half Moon Bay. The restaurant setting was ok, looked a bit like a Kareoke place combined with some Hawaiian decorations. The restaurant is located at a quiet plaza, doesn't look too exciting. We got there at around 2 on a weekday, so there was only one waitress and she had her hands full. She was very friendly, but it took a bit of time to get her attention since she was so busy. We ordered some appetizer, Hamachi Kama and Grilled Squid. Nothing special, flavor was a bit plain and pretty generic. Also ordered a bento box with sashimi and beef teriyaki, again, not bad, but not great. Overall, this is a good place to try out, I will come back again for dinner some times since I have another Groupon voucher, perhaps their food will be better during prime time.

The sushi is delicious, especially the variety of rolls, and the prices are fantastic...But the atmosphere is aged, Christmas-decorated, and looks like a coffee shop from 1986. Not very appealing. That's the only thing wrong with the place, and it's a biggy.

I love sushi..I can eat it everyday.. haha seriously. New Years Eve up in the city, we were all craving sushi before going off to our parties, I thought most places would be closed already, but we called and this place was open until 9:30. (it was 7:30 at the time). I ordered a sake roll, and lion king roll, while I forgot what else we ordered..but I think it was called the Bomb Roll? Anyways, they had free delivery if you ordered I think up to 30 bucks? We had our order delivered, and I must say service was fast. The delivery person had to call and double check with out address, but he got there pretty fast. The sushi was very good. The fish I can taste was very fresh. The lion king roll was delish like always. This place is def. a must go. They deliver too so major plus! I believe the higher you spend you also get something free added to your meal, like we got an extra order of california rolls. Total score!

We went to Go Sushi after a long day and were so delighted with the menu choices. The waitress recommended the sushi boat, which was out of this world, and the mango lobster -- what a treat! The staff were so, so friendly, the service excellent, and we had such a good time. We ended with a fried banana and ice cream dessert -- heavenly!

The service here is great, the waitresses are very sweet, attentive, and hospitable. The sushi is delicious. Fish is fresh and the special rolls are yummy. I always like to give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt. Once we walked into this restaurant and got seated (it was not busy at all), it was a while before they actually came to the table. I immediately placed the LivingSocial coupon the the table. There was a sign outside the restaurant advertising $1 for small sake, $2 for large sake. I ordered the large sake since it was only $2. They brought the sake (at this point, no water or tea was offered). I showed them the coupon and they said because I was using the coupon, the sake offer was not valid. Are you kidding me? After i've already ordered it, she tells me this! Why should the coupon make any difference if I get their special on the sake. I ordered two entrees (with included salad and soup), gomae and edamame with 2 orders of CA roll and one side of rice to go. They brought the edamame and gomae; the edamame was good, but the gomae had this gross thick peanut sauce that didn't taste very good and the spinach was watery (yuck). They brought out the entrees (salmon teriyaki and rice on a plate) but there wasn't any soup and salad. I finally flagged her down and she said "oh, I forgot" (are you kidding me again?). We finally finished and I asked for the check, but she said it would be a few minutes before the "to go" order would be ready. It was another ten minutes! Finally got the to go order and the check came. The check didn't even have the LivingSocial coupon discount on it, I had to ask them to deduct for the coupon. It was another five minutes. Customer Service here is not apparent. After leaving here, I would not come back here again.

While Pacifica certainly lacks in restaurants overall, it is a fine place to get some sushi and Go Sushi fits right in there as solid. Nice creative rolls, and very fresh nigiri - some of the best salmon nigiri I have had in some time.

this place easily has the best sushi in town. hearing all these reviews, i have to laugh. this place is super reasonable, i have eaten here often, and had delivery, and no one has ever not liked their food. nor gotten sick. and that one reviewer is crying about 10 bux, and a coupon? geez. if i ever use a coupon, i assume its on the subtotal before tax. gimme a break. try this place, they have some good rolls, and great fish.

If I hadn't purchased a kgbdeals coupon for Go Sushi, I would never have found this great restaurant. it is tucked in the back of a shopping center and very inconspicuous. I am however very happy to have discovered this amazing restaurant. The only reason I am withholding a star is because of the setting, which falls short of some of the other Japanese restaurants I frequent. However, Go Sushi excels in all other areas: good rolls, great sashimi and amazing service. I am sure my husband and I will become regular patrons of Go Sushi. All Peninsula Yelpers should try out this place!

We have been here a few times now with our toddler since moving to Pacifica from San Francisco and we really like it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and our food (various sushi rolls and sashimi), was fresh and delicious. We had expected a lot worse having tried another Japanese restaurant in Pacifica that served tasteless sashimi. We also received a coupon for a return visit. Go Sushi is definitely on our list of places to eat in Pacifica.

I have ordered for delivery several times since moving to Pacifica and they are fast and not very expensive. I tried the walnut dragon roll (imagine classic walnut prawns from your favorite chinese place meets a tempura roll) and the Lion King roll (california with cooked salmon on top). Since I am pregnant and can't do the raw sushi right now these rolls are great to get my sushi fix and I can't wait till I can try everything else.

I should probably start off by saying I'm not a big sushi fan. However, my best friend is and I definitely owed him one for helping me get moved into my new place here. I was very impressed with the atmosphere. The interior was quite beautiful with very lovely oriental decorum. Not so much that it was overbearing, but not so little that the place looked like an American restaurant with a few japanese artifacts. I got the impression that it might have been a family owned place with the family actually being japanese. The music, which I presume was authentic japanese top 40's pop, did make me feel a little like I was in some kind of live action animé, but for the most part it very much jived with the decor of the restaurant. I personally stayed away from the raw fish, much to the exasperation of the aforementioned friend, and instead ordered some teriyaki chicken, white rice, and shrimp. I also had a small salad and some kind of oriental soup that I'm slightly ashamed to admit I can't quite recall the name of (I'm pretty sure it's a very common soup in such a restaurant). All in all it was very tasty, although the portion sizes were a bit on the small side. Still, the overall authentic oriental feel of the place along with the good food provided for an experience that I very much enjoyed. I couldn't help but think that it would be a very nice date and/or special occasion restaurant. I will almost certainly repeat, particularly if I come across an attractive single girl. Although the small portion sizes probably won't have me coming on a regular basis.

Really good restaurant! The food there is very satisfying. They have very good customer service and the food creations are just a piece of artwork! The prices are reasonable and is worth it! I'll definitely go back if i have time!

The food here is really good. The décor isn't much to write about, and the service was good but seemed harried. Who cares!? The food makes it worth the trek! Delicious, well seasoned, beautifully presented and super fresh - sashimi and all else. And as for pricing, for what you get, it's a bargain.

It was an OK experience. The food was OK, the employees were friendly, but, overall, this is an average place.

This is probably the best sushi in Pacifica. We usually do take-out or delivery and tend to order the sashimi bowl and the chicken katsu curry. I find that their sashimi is the freshest in town and my husband loves the curry. On occasion I will go inside for a quick bite for lunch after yoga. I'm not a fan of their interior. It's dark and dreary, but the food is good and they're fast. One star off for the interior, but for the price it's a good deal.

Great sushi that DELIVERS! I have only ordered from Go Sushi, but every time I have, I am never disappointed. My food comes well-prepared, and it is noticeable that they took care into packing everything for me (i.e making sure the boxes are closed tight with the lids and rubber bands around and drinks are covered completely so it won't spill during delivery). I have had their sushi a few times and each time, they give you an abundance of soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. The prices are reasonable and aren't too expensive compared to other sushi places that aren't as good of a quality. The overall delivery service is great. The delivery is usually quick and on time. There was one incident where my order didn't go through and it was over an hour after I placed my order. I phoned in to see what the issue was and the lady was kind throughout the whole process and apologized for the inconvenience. They made sure and recalled to let me know the status of my order up until I received it. I would continue to order from here if I'm ever craving for sushi. Some favorites: -Sake Don -Oishii Roll -Crab Puffs -Potato Croquette -Tempura -Passionfruit Iced Tea I would avoid the curry plates though - not a lot of flavor - but everything else is pretty solid, including the sashimi.

I ordered food last night from this place for delivery and I will NEVER do it again. It took TWO hours for the food to get to my place and it's only 15 minutes away... If it weren't for me calling TWICE... the food would have never gotten to my house. The first time I called, the lady on the phone said the food was ready and wasn't on it's way yet and this was after waiting an hour and 15 mins already. I told her to just cancel it and then she put me on hold and then said the food was on it's way... skeptical.. I just said okay. 30 mins later I called again and the food still wasn't at my place.. she said it would be another 10 mins. It wasn't until two total hours later the COLD sushi was at my place. STAY AWAY. TRUST ME it's not worth your time.

Probably the most depressing bento box I've seen in my life. I'm only giving it 1 star because when I ordered online to go I didn't have to wait long when I picked it up. I got mixed tempura which was mediocre and the sesame chicken was mostly batter with barely any chicken. The salad was drenched in dressing, felt like I was eating vegetable flavored dressing. Most likely not coming back here. Any suggestions for a decent japanese place in Pacifica would be greatly appreciated.

This place is great . The customer service is okay an to the point. I dig it , they helped and smiled and that was cool. dude they deliver to the bar next door thats pretty cool to me. They don't deliver liquor next door tho which does make sense. The Mr. Ken Roll and and Halloween Roll and hella good. I never thought pumpkin would taste good in sushi till now. Definitly excellent tasting sushi. They also have lychee sake here too. Me and my friend sure loved it. The prices are excellent and they have such excellent selections.

I wish there was a NEGATIVE 5 star option. I ordered food last night and it was so ridiculous. I will never go back to this restaurant! I have a been a loyal customer since they opened and would eat there at least three times a week. I ordered for delivery last night as I have done before. It said it would take 45 mins. That's fine, it's a Friday. I get it. Then twenty minutes later I get a text that says they are busy and will be an additional 30 mins. That's fine, I get it! 2 hours later my food still isn't here. I had made a request that the driver call me when arriving so I could meet him outside. I told them I was at the very top driveway and I'll be out front when he calls. He calls me and tells me his is at the top of the driveway. NO... he's not. I tell him exactly where I am and there are no cars in sight. He insists he's there. NO... he's not. After 5 minutes I see headlights. I say to him, "Is that you turning in?" He says yes, then he drives all the way down to the bottom of the driveway. Are you serious? This isn't a normal household driveway. This is about as long as 3 blocks. He parks his car & sits there. Whatever. I walk down to him and get my order. Bye! I get back to my room and everything is soggy and cold from sitting in a to go box collecting condensation for over an hour plus or more that it took to deliver. I ordered a salad and they put it in the same container as my hot (at one point that I never saw) order. So I'm sitting here with a wilted salad, wet nasty tempura and chicken, cold miso soup and no chopsticks or soy sauce. Everything had to be thrown out. Thanks guys! You just lost a solid customer that has referred so many people to your business. I called Eat24 to inform them of the situation and they were very polite and said that Go Sushi would only refund 10% which was $3.00. WOWWWWWW!!!!!!! I will never return to this shady ass place. I will repost this review if it "randomly" gets removed.

I used to love their house ramen, but now all I could taste in it is Napa cabbage, and bad slices of pork. Their Chirashi don was delicious, but is now served in smaller portions. Wakame salad featured as an appetizer always arrives late or is forgotten and I have to ask again Used to be a great quiet place, but they've taken out all of the blinds between the booths. A pro is they've taken down the blind between the tables and the bar so now you can watch them cook. You used to get wasabi and ginger on your plate of any roll by default, now you have to ask for it. They've gotten rid of all of their real Japanese tea cups and replaced them with plastic ones. One time my dad ordered Shioyaki, which the waiter had a hard time of hearing and asked my dad to repeat, went to the back then came back out to check again as if he thought my dad didn't know what he was ordering. He brought out teriyaki. My dad eventually got to tell him he got the wrong dish and that he ordered Shioyaki, so the waiter brings it back and the same thing comes back out looking like the sauce has been wiped off with something coarse like a rag. And you can still see the teriyaki sauce on the plate, one spec with a sesame seed on it as well.

I waited 1.5 years to come back here cause I was pregnant for their baked oyster and I brought my friends along cause I said their baked oysters was the best. I ordered 15 oyster and tried to order more and they said I had to call a day ahead to order! Who does that!? I was so pissed! Won't be coming back, I'll just make my own!

Pretty much your standard awful service business! Just another business that's more than glad to take your money and NEVER acknowledge the regulars/neighbors/returning customers! Never a Hello, Thank You, or Welcome Back! It's pretty pathetic since this is a small community where most business should be doing back flips for the community that supports it! Want to know when the sushi spot your at lacks? The sushi bar is always empty! I always see the employees talking to each other and never to the customers and that is sad! This is the type of business that you find in the sunset/Richmond and operated by the same type! Awful! Please don't confuse the people who run this place as Japanese just because it's a Japanese restaurant definitely not run like an Authentic Japanese Restaurant at all where customer service is held to the highest standard! To the employees/owner: Hello, How are you today, Thank You, You're Welcome, How is everything, Would you like a refill, Nice to See you again might be some of the things you should start practicing!

Decent sushi rolls, mediocre nigiri, bad service. When I couldn't figure out the name of something I had seen on the menu the waitress almost walked away; they never once asked how things were and brought the check before asking if I wanted anything else. I was still a little hungry and considering ordering more food but decided not to when the check was quickly and abruptly dropped on my table. Left an obligatory tip and left feeling unwanted.

Damn reading everyone's reviews and they are not good, but for my experience it was awesome. I first ordered the food online, but right as I was checking out it said that they didn't deliver in my city. As hungry as I was, I immediately called them and told them what happened and the girl said she can take my order through the phone. I told her everything I ordered online and even added green tea mochi. She told me it was a 40-50 min wait and I didn't mind. I did things to pass the time and then they finally came. The delivery guy was asian, came up to me and didn't really speak much, but he wasnt rude. He exchanged food and I signed the receipt. He maybe should of thanked me, but whatever. Tipped him and he walked away. Got my food and I was very impressed. Ordered shrimp tempera roll, Cali roll, tunaki roll, and beef udon with Thai tea. The drink was still cold and the soup was still hot. The green tea mochi taste was a little off. Next time I'll get chocolate or strawberry. I am overall pleased with my order and I would recommend this place to others.

Have been visiting this place for years. It's the best Japanese in Pacifica! I've tried many others in the neighborhood including Daly City, and find this place offering the best sushi snd other dishes. Try their grilled Ika (fried squid). It's nicely done! I think their prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking spots available at the plaza's parking lot. Nice service! Nice environment and ambience. Will continue to be their customer.

I would give these guys 5 stars but they are not perfect. Lets talk about the pros though: You get seated quickly, happy hour sake cocktails, food is on point in quality and appearance, and the atmosphere is very casual. Cons: some NOT ALL of the waiters/waitresses are rude, delivery service is not perfect (although they haven't been late; they have mixed up my order), and sometimes they forget to give you some of the things that you ordered. There have been a couple times I ordered an additional roll or another large sake that never made it to my table but somehow on my bill. They are very quick to resolve these issues. Another note: I am very allergic to shrimp, crab and the like so with that fact known get this: I do not get sick from eating here. It doesn't mean that they don't serve crab and the like this means they are very strict with how they handle their food and they double check the quality before sending it out. I know this is a weird thing to bring up but there have been so many other sushi places that I have eaten at were I immediately get sick from cross contamination with shrimp. This place is NOT one of them because they are so careful. I love it.

I found this place through Grubhub, and it was one of very few sushi restaurants that would deliver. My gf and I love that they have ocean trout available pretty much all the time. Their rolls are good as well, but felt that the size was a bit small for the price. I like the giants and sally roll. I've been to the restaurant once, and there's ample seating, so there should never be too much of a wait if there even is one at all. Their other entrees are just ok, but for a place that delivers, can't really complain too much.

My friend and I were disappointed in this place. We went there because the other sushi place we were trying to go to was closed, and neither of us will be going back. The food took forever to arrive and was not fresh. My friend didn't end up wanting to eat more than about a quarter of her tofu, and the rice on my sushi was crusty and the tempura shrimp inside was soggy and tasted like it had been tempura'd the day before. The service was slow and ignored us for most of the meal. We both had places to be, and yet the dining service took over 90 minutes, most of which was us trying and failing to get the check. There were only two tables full of people at this restaurant--we really weren't sure what was going on. Meanwhile, it wasn't cheap sushi--the prices were pretty typical, which was way too high for the quality.

As a foodie and an employee that works in customer service I was disappointed with the service it took forever to put in my order, no one checked up on me to see how I was doing it was pretty steady since it was dinner time but there were 3 servers this would've easily been a two star but the food was amazing the salmon teriyaki wasn't dry at all overall this place was a 50/50 for me I would go back for the food!

Nope! My boyfriend and I left disappointed. He ordered a bento and some kind of dragon roll. I had salmon sashimi, mon roll, and a dynamite crunch roll. The sashimi was the only good tasting item. The rolls were EXTREMELY small for the price you pay, and they weren't even satisfying/delicious/appealing. Ordered five things and was shocked by the check. We wanted to try a new place and sadly we won't be back. The worse is my stomach has been upset since I left the restaurant ugh.

I ordered delivery for dinners for me and my boyfriend. We're big sushi eaters, so we were super excited! We ordered Black Widow Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Dragon Roll, and Kirin Roll. The estimated time was supposed to be an hour from placing the order, but it actually got to us half an hour early! Although each roll was delicious, they were tiny! All 4 fit into a small tray that is usually made for one roll at the supermarket. As good as it was, paying soooo much money for 4 small rolls that didn't fill us up may not have been worth it. :(

It's 9:00 pm and my boyfriend and i are suppperrr hunngrryy! Time to order delivery! We were pretty excited because the menu looked good (we didn't check yelp first. our fault we should've known it was going to be small)... So we ordered 3 rolls.. all over $13 each (thought they were going to be big haha) ... When the order finally arrived. ALAS. THE ROLLS ARE TINY AF. DID THIS REALLY JUST COST US THAT MUCH $$$$$$$$??????????? psps I'm a cheap skate so seeing those tiny rolls made me really sad They looked like the rolls you get in those little sushi packs from costco. But even smaller than those. hahaha However, the taste was okay. So there's that +1 star. but PLLLEASSE be aware if you're doing delivery those $11+ rolls are going to be small! I've had delivery/takeout sushi and they've always been pretty big.

When you want sushi and rolls that hit you with the feeling of greasy and soggy Chinese food, then you want Go Sushi Japanese Restaurant. An outing around a happy graduation event for family member had us all in a good mood and we wanted sushi for dinner. The time was right to once again try Go Sushi with an attitude that would give them another honest chance to impress. For the meal this time we had the following; Appetizers: Edamame Agedashi Tofu Shrimp Tempura Miso Soup Mains, Rolls, and Sushi: Salmon Shioyaki Spider Roll Rainbow Roll Philly Crunch Roll Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll Maguro Sushi Unagi Sushi Drinks: Thai Iced Tea 7-Up Hot Tea I was looking forward to the crunch rolls since I heard they were good and I like the crunchy tempura added. On arrival arrived with four employees people working in a relatively empty place it still took about five minutes to be seated. Not bad. But not outstanding given the number of employees standing around. Being seated I once again encountered and tired old place with an half-hearted attempt to pass of some kind of "atmosphere. I get it Go Sushi. You want me to think I am am walking into some kind of red lantern lit Washitsu. Except with carpet and table. And american style 70's era booths with vinyl seating that is torn and worn. Yes, I certain get the cheap feel all right. The table looked clean and laid out well enough. I liked the small soy sauce dishes that included a little hook on the side for holding the plastic chopsticks away from the table. The rest of the table is pretty much what you would expect in this level of restaurant including the paper napkins. Service after we were seated seemed mostly good. He was friendly and quick at the start. Ready to take our orders after just the right amount of time to review the menu. He also took our drink and appetizer orders while giving more time to figure out the rest. Service declined afterward having to call over for service several times during the meal instead of having rounds made to the table for simple things like hot tea refills. Started off with the Miso Soup, Edamame, Agedashi Tofu, and Shrimp Tempura. The edamame was you average good edamame. But the Agedashi Tofu, while well presented, quickly devolved on the table into a slimy mess. I know the reason for it was the preference for using cornstarch dusting instead of potato starch. This dish is one of my favorites but this time I left pieces in the bowl. The Miso Soup was good. The Shrimp Tempura was average. The part that made it average was the tempura itself being heavy and oily in a way that did not compliment the dish. As I found out this problem was to plague the other rolls to come. The first main to come out was the Salmon Shioyaki. Which I found a little odd give the amount time there was between this dish and the rest of the dishes for the meal. The salmon was a little too overcooked. This resulted in cause the flavor to be lost as well as slightly drying out the fish. Once again the presentation was okay but overall the quality was not up to the looks of the dish. The rest of the of the rolls, and sushi followed on about 5 minutes after the Shioyaki. All of the rolls with rice shared on big failing. The rice itself was both sticky and soggy. Maybe its a style of rice i have not been used to when eating sushi. maybe not. Either way my perception of the rice affected the each roll. None more so than the roll with the most visual distinctiveness, the Spider Roll. This is an exciting dish to look at. But when everyone at the table leaves enough on the plate to feed another, you know there is something wrong. The Rainbow Roll was passable even with the rice issues The crunch rolls, Philly Crunch and Spicy Tuna Crunch, suffered from two points. The rice as mentioned, and the tempura problem. Or maybe the tempura batter was made with brand I had not experience before. To the tempura batter came off was as if a heavy pancake batter has been used. Then deep fried in tired oil needing to be changed. Neither the crunch rolls or the shrimp had a fresh light flavored tempura. This ended up getting in the way of the roll instead of complimenting the roll. When my wife leaves anything spicy on the table there is a huge problem with the dish. This time there was more thank half the plate of Spicy Tuna Crunch that had to be boxed along with several pieces of Philly Crunch also taken home. The Maguro and Unagi sushi dishes both were passable though unexciting. Along with the the miso soup and salmon shioyaki they were the only things to be finished off completely. Bill total before tip was $80.85. Not a great value for what was served. I have had too much good sushi to settle for Go Sushi. See my pics of the current visit. (Health review link in the pics) Avoidance of Go Sushi is the continuing tone. I will not be back.

Came here for a quick lunch with a colleague before heading back to campus for class. Had order the Chicken Donburi and it was the best I had in a while. Came in a cute little bento box and miso soup. Miso soup was good. But back to the donburi, the chicken, egg, and rice were all cooked nicely. Had a little too much sauce but I wasn't complaining since most places don't add enough anyways. Overall, good place for a quick bite to eat if you're close by and the prices are reasonable.

Love it! They have great specials during the week and such yummy rolls. My favorite is the red dragon roll! I also love their sashimi, oysters, and gyoza. The sashimi always tastes super fresh. They are also super quick-everything is prepared so fast.

I ordered a 3meal bento-spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and beef terriyaki over brown rice via EAT 24. Delivery came in 45 minutes the guy didn't either didn't speak English or was extremely rude cause he didn't say much. The spicy tuna was okay, the shrimp tempura was a little soggy, and the beef terriyaki looked like they chewed it up and spit it back out....even the brown rice was soggy and overcooked (paid extra for that too). I only took a couple of bites of the beef terriyaki and rice cause it really tasted questionable.******A couple of hours after eating parts of it I had a really bad stomach ache and TMI but I have been running to the bathroom all days since. I wouldn't order from this place again. I'm not sure if it was the beef or the spicy tuna but something went wrong there! I don't know why some yelper's rated this a 4 star?!!??

Prices went way up in the new menu. Used to come here weekly. Won't be back. Very upset with the new prices for what you get. It used to be a great deal now we can go to other restaurants with real service for $50 and actually leave happy.

The food was good but I got really bad food poisoning. I couldn't sleep all night from running to the bathroom. My throat and ears hurt, my headache won't go away even with tynol. I threw up the next day and I have unbearable back aches. My temperature is 108. Never ordering from here again. It's really not worth the risk. I love sushi but I may not ever order it again.

Love the food. I order through GrubHub and it's awesome, always in the estimated time or earlier. Today they made a small mistake, and I called back. They fixed it which the housemate appreciated very much. The driver was awesome. I don't want to mess up the name lol. Thank you.

Food was alright nothing special on the generic side. Ordered the bento box 3 items (beef short ribs, sashimi and shrimp tempera), king salmon sushi, hamachi belly and rainbow roll. The food portions was very small was still hungry after spending $40 on lunch. If you don't have much time don't come here because you will have to wait over 20mins for some water and for someone to take your order. Plus the waitress were not friendly or attentive.

Got delivery from go sushi. We ordered the expensive lion king roll and rainbow dragon roll, which had more avocado to make guacamole than fish. They came in very small sized rolls compared other places. They stuffed it into one small container leaving the wasabi touching pretty much everything, which i wasn't a fan of at all. The meal was sub par and it was really expensive. The only upside is that they deliver ?

My food took about 1 hour and 30 minutes +++++ . I asked eat 24 to give them a call to see if I could get a discount at all... All they could offer me was a stupid crunchy California roll on my next order...like I'm going to order from there ever again. Never again Worst delivery ever.

    1) Food- B I have been here several times before and all the times I have been the food has been okay. The sushi rolls are decent, the Chirashi bowl is has nice cuts of assorted fish, and my family hasn't had any complaints about the bento boxes. On my last visit, the ramen that a family member ordered was bland, and there was a pretty thick piece of plastic in my Miso soup. 2) Service- D I have been here several times and the service has been hit or miss. Their rating could be higher with me but the service brings them down. On my last visit, they forgot to bring us our drinks when they already took our order, and forgot to get extra napkins/fork for an elderly family member after I requested (I had to go up and ask again). I get that this can happen but the place was not even busy. Again I have to bring up the plastic in my Miso soup. They apologized but they didn't try to make up for it like getting me a new one, or comping me. 3) Atmosphere- C Inside the restaurant, the decor is more on the minimal side and it's never been super busy all the times I have visited. It isn't beaming with life but if you're just going for the meal then this doesn't even matter. 4) Overall- I want to like the place since it is close enough for my elderly family members to enjoy some Japanese but I can't fully yet. For me, the service seems to be the only thing hurting them because the food has been mostly okay. It's not the first place on my list for sushi but it is convenient.

I first tried this place due to their $1 oysters on Tuesdays.. Prices are affordable and reasonable. Oysters are decent. They only offer $1 oysters for dine in. Food is good, better than Sushi 8. They offer free delivery with a min $20 purchase. They also offer freebies with a minimum purchase. Even though the lady on the phone had me wait on hold for a while, the delivery guy was extremely nice.

They were always late, whether pick up or delivery, but the food was decent and they are close to our home. The last order we picked up on February 6, was inedible. I ordered the tonkatsu, usually well prepared and good. That night the pork was thick, dry and overcooked. My daughter asked for no ginger/wasabi on her sushi and they put twice as much. We will be going to Ocean Fish instead from now on.

Did you ever walk into a restaurant and get the distinct impression they don't want you there? That's the feeling I got when the waitress "greeted" us. Other notes... The place feels run down and dirty. Our table wobbled badly. Nothing we could do about it. I think they used spaghetti instead of ramen, and they also charged an extra dollar to substitute this crap for udon noodles... I had to ask FOUR TIMES for a glass of water. I also had to point this out to the server before finally getting it. Small portions. The fish just didn't seem to be of very high quality. Nobody was really nice until it came time to have me sign the credit card slip. Word of advice to servers - If you hadn't been nice up to this point, don't even start now... So much for the idea of dining in my own neighborhood...

It was a dark & stormy September night( no it wasn't it was actually really hot) & I needed my sushi fix. Enter Go Sushi, after looking at the menu forever, being my usual indecisive self I settled on spinach gomae (boiled spinach in sesame dressing), tempura asparagus as a shareable starter, miso soup & the honey walnut prawn roll. My favorite was the honey walnut roll; it was fantastic & I really didnt wanna share with the other diner. It came wrapped in avocado, with shrimp tempura & a sweet sauce with a candied walnut on top. The tempura asparagus also wins an honorable mention as well. I wasn't impressed with the spinach gomae; the spinach is typically boiled & it was really watery when it was served. Not a bad experience nonetheless, the staff is soooo friendly I can't stress how nice they are! So I'll be back especially to try some of the other veggie dishes they have! Also they have a bunch of cool, beer & sake specials throughout the week!

My favorite of the sushi restaurants I've been to. I've always had a good time there. And i keep going back. Best service. Best dragon roll. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have to agree with most everyone else. I thought the food was terrific. My teriyaki steak was cooked to perfection, my wife's chicken was the same and the Dragon Roll was rich and flavorful. Sadly, the service was subpar. On another note, my wife ordered a glass of wine. When it was brought to the table, it was a very small glass, filled about halfway to the top. She tasted it and it was pretty bad, so she figured maybe it was the bottom of an old bottle or something. When the bill arrived, the wine was not charged. We assumed the wine was comped since the serving was so small. I gave my credit card to the waitress who returned shortly saying that she forgot to put the wine on the check and there would be an additional $5.95 charged. My wife said, "$5.95 for half a glass of wine?" The waitress retorted, "That was a FULL glass."

If you are expecting good service dont come here. I had a Groupon and thought it would be worth giving this place a shot. We sat down and mentioned we had the Groupon and the waitress took the Groupon certificate and walked away. Another waitress came back to take our order. I was disappointed with my choice (Hamachi Crunch roll) as I didnt realize the entire roll was deep fried. I ate it and it was just okay although I wouldnt order it again. Once the rest of the food came out another lady came to us and told us we only spent a certain amount and we needed to order more, hu.....???? She said we had to order up to 50 dollars in food. Why hadnt they mention this to us when I gave them the Groupon? They constantly hounded us to order more. It was very irritating to the point of them being rude. They suggested again to order more and for us to order beer or wine. We dont drink so please dont push alcohol on us. The food was okay nothing spectacular and honestly I dont think I will go out of my way to go back. Groupon's are to get customers in not to chase them away. The place is not very clean either and looks very old and dated. Terrible Terrible service!

Several times I have tried phoning in an order to Go Sushi. No answer. It rings, and rings, and rings. One time I called repeatedly and finally they answered. Today I called and it rang for 5 minutes. I said screw it. I called their competitor, Ocean Sushi, and they picked up the phone on the first ring.

Fresh fish, screamin' ass cooked rolls, good service, and a quiet and chill ambiance? What more could you ask for! I went with my baby brother and fiancé on a Friday afternoon and was greeted by a charming lady who was very helpful, as it was our first time dining in (we're a delivery type of couple). The fire cracker roll we ordered was literally on fire, tasty tea, and really good udon and curry. We also got the FBI (fried banana with ice cream! The banana was crunchy and ice cream paired with the perfect amount of whipped cream! Whether you dine in or deliver, quality is kept up and flavor is over par!

I should be able to enjoy the ingeniousness of food tightly wrapped in seaweed even if I am allergic to seafood. And I did. My absolute fav: The Veggie Roll. The icing on the cake... BROWN RICE. Good good things: tonkatsu, the chicken katsu, the Niku Don... I've frequented this place at least 2-3x in one month. And tried their delivery online. The experience wasn't bad at all. Fairly easy process. My eating mate eats the fish and is a big fan of sashimi. He has liken the salmon and tuna I believe. He tried the sorted, but has stated that he did not like one fish in particular, which of course he could not name as it did not come with labels. Duh. The not so good things that you really have no control over: pricing is a bit much.

Solid...I've never been disappointed. The last time I ordered I got a Pacific Roll (unagi, albacore, and tobiko). It's very good. The miso soup is top-notch as well. The best thing about this place though is that they deliver to South San Francisco.

Should've read the review before going... A friend ended up barfing everywhere afterward. When she started breaking out in something that looks like hives (we're not really sure what that was) we had to send her to the hospital. Given that it might have been something she allergic to but we had eaten sushi at other places before and that had never happen.... Seeing how often people ended up barfing after eating here, maybe a health inspection is needed

This is just a weird, but yummy place! It has an old diner feel, with classic rock playing in the background (yuck) but everything else is pretty good about it! We have had dinner there many times and it always tastes fresh & is served pretty quickly! I did make the mistake of a lunch special once (and took it to work) Boy was i a sad girl that day at lunch... I had chicken teri, which was super duper fatty and ick! The Cali rolls were good as usual though! I'd say go here for sushi and rolls but maybe no chicken or regular type food!

Yummy fish. Online ordering. Free delivery. It really doesn't get any better than this =) -1 only because I haven't eaten in the restaurant and have only ordered to go or delivery. Can't judge the service...yet. But will update in the future.

This Japanese restaurant falls into the myriad of decent but mostly forgettable establishments of its ilk. There are very few really great Japanese restaurants in Pacifica with Koko Sushi being one of the few albeit more expensive standouts. The interior was clean but nothing extraordinary. It didn't seem like this was ran by a Japanese family which almost always produces less than optimal results. They have some interesting specials depending on the day you go. We had ordered several dishes. My wife enjoyed the california rolls on her plate. I had an ahi salad and vegetable tempura; both were quite mediocre. My son ate beef udon which had a very bland broth. The staff was friendly enough and I don't have anything terrible to say about this place but despite its close location to my home, I will probably drive a bit further to get something better.

The hubby and I just found this place in our small town. We were pleasantly surprised! It's tucked away in eureka square. We sat in a cozy booth after being greeted by the friendly waitresses. They took our drink order right away while we browsed the menu. There were so many to choose from. We decided on the following: 1. Spicy tuna roll (super yummy) 2. Fantasy roll (a little bland but good with extra sauce) 3. Walnut Dragon roll ( delicious!) 4. Four Seasons roll (by far the best of the them all!) Needless to say we ordered too much food. We wanted to try a little bit of everything. The fish was fresh, the presentation was impecable and the sauces were an added bonus. Not too much sauce either. Prices are to be expected for a good sushi place. We left full and only paid $42 (no alcohol though). Wait staff were friendly and very attentive. Overall experience was great!! If you want great sushi and friendly service go to this place. So glad we found an awesome sushi place in town, we'll definitely be back!!

suprisingly good. decor was a bit outdated last time i went, but prices were good and so was the sushi. but being in pacifica, you really have to be passing along or in the area to really come here. can't review on the sashimi, but their cooked and special rolls were good

Too much cream based sauce and by enough awesomely delectable fish flavors. Was good. Tons of choices for the rolls but lots of them had cream based sauces. Wasn't feeling adventurous otherwise would have been all over some nigiri (sp.) or shashimi (sp.). Extensive menu for sure. Service was good, slightly slow, being that we were kind of the only ones in there.... Tea and miso soup were pretty spot on! Would go back and try more things though!

This place was great. Food was good, service was good, environment was good. I went there for a girl's night, we ordered 5 rolls, 4 drinks, and 4 soups, all for $50! Great buy!

Delivery to Pacifica, Daly City, and select peninsula zipcodes. I was too curious and wanted to order online by going to gosushi.us accepts credit card, but I am a paranoid about identity theft freak, so I had to pay by cash. Ate sit in a few times for the dinner specials, but this time wanted to try this neat online ordering system. Ordered the 12 piece sashimi special($17), spicy scallop roll ($7), black widow roll($12), and since my total was over $35 I entered the code FREETUNA for a free tuna roll!! I decided to really test this online system and added as a special request in the comments to add chopsticks and also low sodium soysauce to the order. Their oysters are deliciously sweet and salty, Kumamoto style with the scalloped shell that I remember eating in, but would never trust for delivery. Placed order Thursday 4:15pm, arrived at house in about 30 min. All the food was enough for 2. got my chopsticks and low sodium soysauce. so I will definitely online order again!!!

this is some pretty decent sushi for Pacifica! we ordered a few rolls for two people. i failed to read the description below the 49er roll and got it because i normally like that roll. but it had salmon skin in the middle which was a little off for me just because i don't really care for salmon skin. the other rolls were pretty good though. if i don't want to venture in to the city for sushi, at least i have a place close enough to home to satisfy me.

Almost gave 4 stars but the service if off, even by Pacifica standards. The food is good but not awesome. We take the kids and split stuff. Kids only want soup and rice and chicken. I like the sake cocktails. The rolls are always good but again the service is slow.

I came here because I had purchased a Groupon for dinner (of course I double checked the ratings on Yelp and saw that it would possibly be a good place to try). The food in general was ok. The shrimp tempura wasn't mostly all batter (which I love). The ramen was a bit watered down-I added a little soy sauce to it to give the soup some flavor. I would come here again-Groupon or not. Keep in mind-if you plan on having a dinner party more than 4 make a reservation ahead of time because the restaurant itself does not have that much seating.

This place has super good deals on fresh oysters. They opened only a few months ago if I'm not mistakes but they have become my favorite place to get sushi near my place in Daly City. The atmosphere is soothing and the waitresses are always very friendly.

we decided to order for delivery as we found the menu attached to our front door and always willing to give Japanese Food a try (even though Delivery is a higher gamble-LOL!). We ordered the food online and was given a commitment delivery within 45 minutes (pretty much the standard delivery time for all food). We were pleasantly surprised when we had a knock at the door within 25 minutes of ordering our food. review of the following food ordered: Take account of food affected due to travel time as well Chicken Katsu - standard and the same as all Katsu at other restaurants Grilled Salmon Bento w/ Gyoza and Potatoe cakes - Salmon a bit rubbery, but still good, Gyoza was a bit soggy because of travel time in a warm container, Potatoe cake was really good Sake Roll - the rice rolled was very soggy and borderline pasty, but the sake (salmon) was really good California Roll - standard california roll that tasted really good. think we will check the higher end cali roll next time for a dollar more SERVICE - very friendly when I called to see if they received my order and even called me to update that the delivery person will be there even though it was delivered 5 minutes before. Overall - I would give the place 3 stars IF the wife and i decide to sit down and eat there......it may move to 4 stars, but for now it's recommendable and decent. Closer Japanese restaurants on other side of hill that's worth going before this one though.....if you're in pacifica, it's worth going to see if you'd like it.

My brother and I have had this sushi only because they DELIVER. before this place, i've NEVER heard of a sushi place that DELIVERS! its amaaaazing! their sushi is pretty good. kind of pricey, but if you order more than $25 worth of food, i think you get a free roll of sushi. i forgot what roll, but thats hella cool!! haha. i've only had their sushi a couple of times. its pretty good.

2 stars for their service. My friend and I wanted some sushi, so seeing that they deliver we figured we'd order something and have them bring it to us and not move anywhere. Sushi that delivers? Awesome right? So we ordered 3 items, added it to the cart on their website, and it said subtotal, $37 something. We call in to order because we didn't trust the site and figured a phone call is simple. We call in place our order and added their free spicy tuna roll to our meal cause according to the site, we hit the $35 mark to get the free spicy tuna roll. Well maybe they need to change their site and make it say total, or whoever answered the phone needs a new calculator because they said we didn't hit the $35 mark and was off by $2. So we added some seaweed salad to the order to make it well over $35. Before hanging up, we asked them how long it would take to deliver, they said 45 minutes. 45 minutes when the restaurant is 5 minutes away. When I heard that, I thought, are you kidding me? Forget it, so we tell them we'll go pick up the order instead. After hanging up, the waitress calls back to confirm that it was a pick up order; that would have been fine if she didn't already ask a bunch of times before hanging up. *sigh, maybe this place and I are not meant to be. Overall, out of all the rolls we ordered, the Pacific roll was still the best. They had a new red heart roll or something, yeah no.

This place was horrible! The food arrived late and then our whole order wasn't in our bags. I called to ask about getting the rest of our order and "coco" the "sort of" manager said she put the roll in the bag. She argued with me for ten minutes about the roll being in the bag and when I asked her about a refund she STILL claimed it was in there. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! The service was horrible and there are WAY better sushi places in Pacifica. Live and learn I guess.

This place is pretty sweet! The service is nice and the Tuesday 1 dollar oysters are the freaking BOMB!! I love it! I would go here every Tuesday if I can! It's going to be a Tuesday weekly thing =) rawr! hahaha.... I definitely suggest the curry, the sushi is a bit overpriced, but their specials aren't too bad and their cheaper priced meals are very tasty.

Tonight we had the food delivered. It was perfect! The hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. The sushi was delicious, beef and chicken teriyaki excellent, and gyoza was SO yummy. Usually delivered food has it's ups and downs but this place gets a thumbs up! Delivery time was also good - under 45 minutes and delivered with a smile.

Go Sushi is an old sushi place that went under new management and has since been totally delicious to eat at. I prefer some of their fancier rolls to their traditionals and their atmosphere is still only so so, but the food is good-to-excellent always and is really great priced too. The staff is courteous, the place is clean and they deliver. Totally fantastic!

I am finding this place to be a good go to spot with my son. Their sushi rolls are pretty decent and I really like the option of making them with brown rice. I also like the fact the sushi rolls are not all about rice unlike other sushi places in the area. The grilled squid was good and not overcooked and chewy. They actually give you a good amount of seaweed salad here. To my surprise the chicken katsu curry was a very good size. I am glad I decided to share that with my son cuz I dnt think I could have finished it. I like the fact they actually serve Japanese curry here not a lot of Japanese restaurants do that. As for ambiance it is alil dated and it looks like it used to be a cafe but the food has been solid and consistent and service is always polite and they do deliver. But they did have a big screen tv on one nite and the giants game was on so it was all good that evening.

me and my parents' go-to place for japanese delivery. not only they have a website so we could order online, they have some awesome free deals for a certain order you make. we always go beyond the limit, so we could just get the freebie. for around the 'hood japanese deals, this is the place for.

We just got back after giving them a try with their groupon. The food tastes decent but the portions left more to be desired. We had two rolls and a three item bento box for my toddler and wife. I am going to look got a late night snack as I am still hungry.

When we first tried this place it was pretty awesome. We love love their Ankimo and Pacific Roll then we later found out those two were the only stand outs for us. Well their Katsu Curry is good too. For Pacifica, it's not bad but it is pretty pricey. We had better and bigger rolls for less.

a groupon led me here. after being disappointed with sushi in the Peninsula, i was hoping this place would be one of new my sushi spots. glad i came here. i ordered chirashi don & california hand rolls. fresh, fast, and good. and kudos for the options of brown rice for both. never been asked if i wanted brown rice instead at Japanese restaurant. my boyfriend ordered a tempura rice bowl and it was good but portions seemed smaller than other places we have been to. overall the sushi was fresh. only other places i've been to that tasted as good was nagano's on geary in SF. minus one star for the seating. plenty of seats but they sat us next to a rather noisy table despite an abundance of empty tables.
