Not as great as I've heard recently. It's just OK. Not terrible, not great. It's cheap though! I gotta give it that.

By far one of the best pizza places in Los Angeles. My wife from New York and her New York family loves it too!

  • Alon R.

Subtle and innocuous, but one of the best Sicilian restaurants in LA; for the price, hands down the best. Nothing to look at, but definitely something to savor. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend was out of town for work one week and I was on a ravioli binge. Parking is available but peole drive kind of crazy. It is across the street from Vallarta on Reseda. I've seen it a couple times but I decided to try it for lunch one day. Definitely my new place to have ravioli. I went for lunch and got the ravioli combo which came with a drink and garlic bread and I think it came out to $6.80 (tax inclusive). I had Olive Garden Ravioli the next day and I must say, it doesn't compare... LA Lasagna Company definitely knows how to keep their customers happy. The ravioli was not covered in cheese and the ricotta inside was moist and soft. I was a happy customer and will be coming back.

For the price the lasagna is really good and filling. Try it!

Alfredo Florentine Lasagna: BLECH the sauce was absolutely horrible, blech blech blech. The filling?? meh...not that great and it wasn't that hot. v_v Lasagna with Meat Sauce: not hot enough, but lots of delicious ooey gooey cheese!!!! and the overall flavor was decent and okay. Fried Zucchini: cold and oily. Pass Pass Pass.

I went here thinking that a place with 'Lasagna' in it's name must make the best lasagna in town. Unfortunately this was not the case...it was very bland. I've actually had better lasagna from the frozen section in the supermarket. The pizza however wasn't so bad and the service was friendly. Maybe someday they will consider making real Lasagna and living up to their name!

Love this place. I work less than a mile away from this place, and we order from here all the time. They're usually super fast with their deliveries, the people are always polite, and the food never disappoints. The environment in the restaurant isn't anything special - it's definitely better suited for a casual lunch than for dinner - but the food is always terrific. Piece of advice - parking is usually easier behind the store than in front.

4.5! What can I say! I am in looooove! Oh dear...how did I get myself into this mess? And yes it's a mess---It's greasy, not the best for those on a diet. The Food: This review pertains mostly to the Eggplant Special Pizza, which is sooo famous in my household that we order it for guests. Juicy Fresh tomatoes, plenty of stringy cheese, and dried basil sprinkled on, a tasty amount of sauce and a thin crust (not too thin- just right). It is sooo delicious; it must be sinful. Secret: My lover and I went to Vons beforehand, bought some organic fresh basil and brought it with us, put it on this Pizza! OMG!!!! The fresh basil makes it something else: trust me! Do this and you will think you're an Italian aristocracy. The Price: This Pizza will run you just a bit below $20 for the large and $15 for the medium. It's a bit more than other Pizza places, I admit. Honestly- it's worth it! If you're gonna put all those calories in, do it right. ****As of right now, There is a $2 off coupon on the website for a large Pizza so take advantage of it. Also a $5 off purchases of $25 and more. We have ordered the spaghetti, lasagna, salads, as well as the oh so deliriously delicious garlic bread. All of the above have been wonderfully tasty:) This place is consistent and delivers a fantastic amount of food each time. The ambiance: This spot is a whole in a wall sort of place in Reseda/ Northridge area- Italian food is being cooked by non-Italian folks and nothing Italian looking about the feel of it. Plz do not expect a "date" atmosphere. There is a parking garage so that's a plus. Great for take out and Order ins. Clean: YES! this is a plus for me always so I am paying attention to it where ever I go. Service: They always smile at you and they are willing to give you extra plates, napkins, etc. if you're taking home your food. I appreciate the attitude.

Man O man do I love this place. You might underestimate it by the look, (hispanic dudes cooking italian in a hole-in-the-wall diner across the street from the Vallarta supermarket) but this place actually gets the "job- done" so to speak. How does it get the job done? Well for one they have rapid delivery. Before LLC(LA Lasagna Co.) ordering in for lunch was unthinkable unless you call an hour ahead but even then you might have to wait 30 minutes before chowing down. Not with these guys, while my buddies are complaining that I'm ordering too late as we are 10 minutes into the lunch hour, I sit there with a smug smile thanks to these guys. I dont have to worry about woofing a meat and ricotta lasagna plate down in the last 10 minutes of lunch. Now punctuality isnt this joints only attribute. I know a place is good when I can order random things from the menu and theyre all great. Salads, lasagnas, pastas, and sandwiches..... all scrumptious.

This place has amazingggg food! I am full italian and a college student away from home so it was nice to find a good italian place to fill my needs! The Canalloni is excellent and their garlic bread is to die for! It's also super cheap. You can get a combo meal of an entry, garlic bread, salad and drink for under $10! I come here almost once a week because it is soo yummy!

  • Alex W.

I tried the pizza here, it wasn't that great. Then again, I should have trusted my instinct and tried the lasagna rather than the pizza, hence the name LA Lasagna which obviously embraces the lasagna. Pizza was alright but far too greasy for my liking. I would come back at least once, just to try their lasagna. But that's it.

Stars: 3.5-4.0 because it's a "hole in the wall take out place" Lasagna Company is consistent. The food is tasty and plentyfull. They offer good combo plates for very reasonable prices. My BF and I order on the whim all the time when we have a taste for italian. It's not an innovative menu, but if you like a pretty good plate o pasta with sauce and eggplant parmigiana than go for it. Salads are good and so is the garlic bread that comes with most entrees. Good for when you don't feel like dressing up to go out or cooking. Cheap too! And they deliver! Enjoy!

I like L.A. Lasagna. It isn't the best ever, but it's definitely good quality food and has great prices. I've only ever eaten the food during office celebrations. We frequently order from here during group events. I'd have to say that the meat lasagna and the sesame crusted garlic bread are my faves.

This restaurant, as noted by other reviewers, seems out of place in it's Reseda Blvd. Northridge location. It is fairly clean and looks like a chain but this is the only location I am aware of. I have not tried the Lasagna, this review is for their Pizza. They offer a relatively basic group of pizzas in a limited number of sizes. Their pizza had a particularly flavorful sauce with pretty good cheese. Unfortunately, the thin crust was very thick by my standards. Overall, I was surprised and enjoyed the pizza in spite of the thick crust. This may be the best pizza in this neighborhood.

I love their lasagna and so does my boyfriend ! He's a real lasagna fan and he likes this lasagna the best so far that is in the valley. I've tried quite a few of their things. The meat lasagna, lasagna florentine, and their spaghetti with meatballs. They were all pretty good! My favorite is the meat lasagna! Very tasty, lots of sauce and we always come here to get our lasagna fix. I really like their garlic bread and its never a long wait. The inside of the place looks very "take out ish" but their food is really good and consistent! I'd say come and try them out! you won't be sorry!!~

Finally got a chance to try this place out last night. I am glad we did and even more glad we weren't disappointed. The decor is abit hokey, but once you get past that, the service and food are really what present themselves here. The service was welcoming, and the guy behind the counter was pretty Johnny on the Spot with answers for our questions. He even pulled out a pasta bracelet from the counter that showed us what a... Mousca... Mousca tell... Mousca tell me about it... It ended up being a Penne looking pasta thing. The food was better than decent, but don't expect anything fancy shmancy. We ordered the Lasagna and Meatball sandwich. My favorite Lasagna is still Maggiano's but this one comes pretty close. I generally do not like sauces that are too sour or tart, and this one wasn't. It had a great tomato taste but without the sour/tartness. For less than $6, the lasagna was a good portion. I chose the combo that came with garlic bread and a not so small salad, and it was still a bit over $7.50, a great deal on the surface and then for what you get. M, ordered the meatball sub and she was very happy about it. I was forced to have some as well and it was very good. The perfect meatballs for this kinda sandwich. Complimentary sauce and an abundance of cheese, pleased the hard to please beast, M. For less than $15, we accomplished our quick dinner goals. Get some better than decent Italian. Don't break into a bank to buy dinner. End up getting overly stuffed. And lastly, don't eat at a joint that will cause gastro complications. All achieved and successful. We will be coming back, and we will be bringing backup. =)

Ok, so ive visited this location 2x and both times have been disappointed! I was hoping for a diamond in the rough but unfortunately this place wasnt it!

I was starving at work, so I hopped on Yelp and looked for someplace to eat that was close. LA Lasagna Co. was reviewed pretty highly on here, so I figured, why not? I placed my order over the phone with a guy who spoke broken english (I'm used to it), and had one of the girls I work with go pick it up. I got the lasagna (I figured it had to be good if it was in the name), garlic bread, and salad meal (it was like $7) and had a pretty solid meal out of it. It was filling and tasty, but nothing special. I would normally give this type of food experience 3 stars, but the fact that it was so damn cheap, I gave it 4. I'll probably hit it up again.

    (4)
  • Matt D.

The pizza was nice and thin and the lasagna was flavorful and full of meat. Great place if you like thin crust pizza.

I had to cater a dinner for 40-50 people. I wanted lasagna. I searched all the restaurants closest to my location and costco. I didn't have ovens so the "best" deal on lasagna, ($12.59 for 6 lbs-Costco), was out. I called LA Lasagna Co and Robert spent a lot of time on the phone with me. At the last minute, things changed and when I asked in a teensy voice if I could halve my order, I was told "no problem". Wow. They delivered an amazing tasting lasagna(meat & ricotta) cut into the exact amount of servings I needed. The price was $68.99 for a large pan-enough for 20 people. I will DEFINITELY use them again!

I've been going here since before I had to buy my own dinner, across fourteen years, through two owners and ten years of vegetarianism. I've had just about everything on the menu (including meat!) and therefore feel twice as qualified to rate LA Lasagna Co. as I am to rate anything else. The food is tasty but generic; everything is covered in marinara and cheese, but hey, that's a good thing for Italian food, right? Their cold sandwiches are a particular favorite of mine, but the be-all and end-all of LA Lasagna Co. is definitely the pizza. Imagine: warm, yeasty bread-y crust, just enough sauce to be a major part of the pizza, but not enough to drip while you eat it , and cheese for days. Plus pizza toppings, yeah, whatever, we all have our vices. I, however, shall stick to the cheese. For the area (the cross streets of Nowhere and Reseda Boulevard), the pizza is the best you're going to get--the other options are, what, Pizza Hut and Dominos? And I guess there's Ravinelli's across the street, which is another review entirely. I wish I could give LA Lasagna Co. three and a half stars; alas, I cannot. Therefore, three stars!

This place has the best tasting lasagna and garlic bread. I've been other Italian restaurants like bucca di beppos and the taste just doesn't compare. Been coming here for at least 8 years. the tables are a bit small if you have more than 4 people with you and theres not waiter service, but that place is small so it's not a big deal.

  • Bill K.

Sometimes you just want a simple, no frills meal. What we typically get is the spaghetti with marinara, eggplant parm, antipasto, pizza, sandwiches, chicken parm. I guess the only thing that has been less than stellar has been the fried zucchini, it's too greasy and kinda mangled. Interior, the place is simply laid out, a tv is in the far end, and the place is clean. The staff is courteous. Parking in front of the restaurant is cramped and can be a challenge at times. I have parked in the grocery store's lot to grab a togo order a couple of times. We usually take the food away, but we have dined there. A good place to eat.

For a decent Italian food delivery experience on a budget, this place hits the mark. Through EatStreet.com , I ordered the meat lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce, a garden salad and a side of garlic bread. The salad was pretty much just as expected: good amount of greens and veggies. The Italian dressing tasted just right. The entrees were fine and plentiful. The sauce for both had good flavor and the pasta was not too soft. Enough for 2 people to have 2 servings each. The garlic bread could stand to be much improved however. The toasted sesame bread had good texture as a base but the butter-to-garlic ratio needs to be adjusted. There was just a very remote hint of garlic taste. It was more like buttered bread. I've driven by this place many times so I'm glad to have finally tried the food. For the price and portion size, I'd come back.

First impressions are very important no matter where you go or do. I stood at the counter an the employee didn't even acknowledge me. I was looking at the menu and the lunch specials. I finally asked him, is your spaghetti good and he replied yes. Being Italian, I wanted to try it. It wasn't bad, however they need to stain the water more out of the pasta. The sauce was a little watery,as for the meatballs, eh. So for the service, sorry no stars. I'll give you my reasons. First you didn't acknowledge you guests. No hello, no smile and most of all no Thank You after the purchase. I'm sure they do a great job for their catering and parties out side of this location, because this location is very small and very outdated. White chairs with lite pink seats and green tables, pink with pink walls.

The food was delicious but the customer service alone made me knock off 2 stars. I went in with a friend and at first we were kept waiting because the people at the register were on their phones. We ordered, got our food and it was pretty good. We sat and ate and we saw them ignore more customers for their phones and they began to close and clean around us even though there was still an hour until closing. There was no greeting or goodbye. Customer service is important and they are definitely lacking. Food is good so if we go back, we'll take it to go.

Been to this place a couple of times and I've only gotten the pasta with meat sauce and the lasagna. The spaghetti I love they give a good amount of sauce and it's so meaty and yummy. The lasagna is good as well the cheese is melted nicely and the pasta is cooked just right. The service is good as well and not that pricey at just $8.89 including lasagna, bread, a decent serving of salad and a drink. Like it better than Olive Garden so definitely a must try.

I had a serious Lasagna attack yesterday. I decided to randomly search for lasagna near my house in Northridge. Ironically, I discovered a spot called LA Lasagna Co. not too far away. I decided to check this place out based on my Yelp research. My overall review is as follows for my to go order: Price - reasonable. Service - polite and expedient. Lasagna - Decent quality. Garlic Bread (side order) - Decent quality I will definitely return to this spot based on my first lasagna experience. My only gripe is that I sat at a table waiting for my order and noticed that the place could have been cleaner. I pay close attention to the cleanliness of restaurants when I sit in the dining area...a measuring stick for overall quality.

Diamond in the rough. Decor is minimal, but who cares when the food is great. I haven't had a bad meal yet. The lasagna is my favorite. If you get the meal it comes with salad and garlic bread.

New to the area and found this place on Yelp when craving Italian tonight. Will not be our last visit! Ordered the Meat / Ricotta lasagna combo, and Arancini, had enough for two of us to split and be very full. Everything was delicious, we'll definitely be back- soon!

  • PJ S.

I really wanted to like this place, but its just so hard to find a decent casual Italian joint in LA. The pizza is ok, nothing to make a special trip for. The lasagna, much like at lot of Italian food out here, tastes like it was made by folks who do not know what good lasagna tastes like, or Italian food in general. :( sorry. Alas, the search continues...

  • Mansta A.

The chicken parm was pretty good. Fettuccini alfredo was bland, but their breaded chicken was great. I just seasoned the pasta a bit more and it was fine. I didn't have the lasagna so maybe I will try it again. Affordable and great for delivery.

  • Robert P.

LA Lasagna has Great food and is very affordable. A big meal for less than $10. The lasagna and pizza are both tasty. The slice of pizza is a good size for the price, and the service was great! I will definitely come here again.

Came upon this place just trying to find some good delivery, and it happened to turn out to be a hit! I ordered the lasagna combo with salad & garlic bread and really enjoyed it. The salad was very fresh & the lasagna was delicious and a large portion. I kept eating it even though I was starting to get full because it was so good, but ended up having to save some for later :) I will definitely order from here again!

Ordered delivery! When I read all the reviews I thought that this place would be a sure win and a no brainer. The guy on the phone was courteous and nice. I knew I was going to get a lasagne and a pizza. When I asked him for recommendations he kept saying it was upto me repeatedly. I asked if there was something he considered the best in the house. He again said it depends on me. I just went ahead and ordered the meat and ricotta lasagne. It was average. I was hoping for flavor but it was quite average. The pizza I got was the Special pizza. It was just OK. Nothing memorable. I don't mean the food was bad it just was average and nothing special. The quantity was a lot and the leftovers will probably last awhile. But I doubt I will go back to order anything from this place.

  • Lola M.

I've been coming here for over 15 years now. Ive only had the pizza, lasagna and salad (pizza and lasagna being my favs) but haven't really tried anything else, tho it other ppls food always look good I just never cared to order other stuff myself. The Pizza - it's greasy but it's cheesy, like really thick cheese, sauce is ok, crust is very thin but it all works if your craving something different from commercial pizza. It's greasy so if your a believer of the grease holding some flavor than your in for a treat. If your expecting gourmet pizza then this is not the place, but if you want some greasy street pizza on an cheat day this is your place. The Meat Lasagna - like the pizza it's nothing special but it's always consistent. I'm a noodle person more so than meat so I always have meat left over. It's saucy, enough meat and noodle to satisfy. I normally buy the personal size so it may be diff from the family portion. Either way it's good enough again nothing super special just a local Italian spot. Warning - for anyone looking for authentic Italian food I suggest a visit to italy unless your grandma/pa are Italian. My friends who visited from Italy laughed at our Italian restaurants here saying "I guess you get what you can".

I work in a company that loves ordering food from here for their luncheons and parties. It is always delicious and they are very nice. When they deliver, the man sets up everything himself so that you don't have to do it. The food is really good for their prices. I've eaten lunch here many times and each time have loved the food.

  • Annie N.

I'm sorry but $6.45 for a belly full of meaty lasagna and the biggest smile anyone's ever seen on my face? SO WORTH IT. 5-stars for their level: hole-in-the-wall with great prices. They deliver promptly too. I.....love them :'(

    (5)
  • Rich G.

3.5 stars because on any given day I think they can be anywhere from a 3 or a 4, that being said the Meatball sub, in my fav and a definite 5. Ditto their garlic bread on their Italian bread with sesame seeds, the same bread they make their awesome meatball with. The homemade style mixed meatballs are layered perfectly with a nicely flavored and silky smooth marinara slathered on the aforementioned Italian role. Did I mention the nice sprinkling of parmigiana cheese? it all melts and melds together, almost a chicken parm vibe. It is Italian comfort food on a roll. yelp.com/biz_photos/aX7X… So why 3.5 stars? Their antipasto is good not great, most of their pasta is decent but really anything to shout about. Their pizza and namesake lasagna are both above average but a bit heavy for lunchtime. All in all LA Lasagna is worth a visit and worthy of repeat visits.

The lasagna was good for the price, it wasn't bad tho just nothing life changing. I would come back when I'm craving a good lasagna and I'm on a budget.

This was the second time we ordered from LA Lasagna Co. and I have to say that their food was excellent! The portions are large and the pasta is fresh and their sauces are not from a can...you can taste the freshness of the food! We will definitely be a permanent customer of this establishment!

  • Jenin V.

have never eaten at the restaurant itself, but la lasagna has catered nearly all of our family parties/holidays/milestone celebrations over the last 20 years. we always get the same items (meat and ricotta lasagna, garlic bread, and antipasto salad) and they are always a huge hit! best part is that they deliver all over the valley (we've lived as far west as woodland hills and as far east as sherman oaks) and they are never, ever late. sorry it took so long for me to write a review!

I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana dish and a slice of cheese pizza for delivery. Not only was the delivery prompt, but the staff was friendly and the food was tasty. Good food for a reasonable price.

These guys are catering experts! I never had a bad experience when ordering food for client lunch meetings. They bring everything you need so you don't have to worry. The driver even set everything up for me as he was unloading the food. Great experience every time!

I really wanted to like this place and was super excited for some good Italian! The food was just okay... I would say the prices are decent but the food is just average for Italian food. I won't be going back I'd rather just cook at home.

A small hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant that serves cheap, quick Italian food. It's great if you're in a rush or for lunch. It's a great place to come for Italian if you're on a budget. Meat Lasagna & Ricotta Cheese Combo for $8 w/ tax. 1) Meat Lasagna - beef, ground sausage, ricotta cheese, marinara sauce. It actually tasted better than some of the lasagna at nicer Italian restaurants. 2) Garlic Bread - Baked sesame bread. DELICIOUS. 3) Salad - standard. nothing special. Mostaccioli with Marinara Sauce (w/ garlic bread) $6 - Essentially, it's penne pasta with marinara. - Very simple dish, but it's good. You can save even more money by buying the ingredients and spend like 5-10 minutes cooking it. Service: The staff are friendly and are quick with deliveries. Parking: Very small lot. There's street parking or market parking lot in the back.

I don't know about this joint ... Not in a dirty place with seedy people , but I wanted pizza seen the place an pulled in, I walk in the place sounds like a library with no nerds there ! Meaning empty in a I'm not getting pizza here way lol... I asked if they had a two slice deal I got the stare as if I was new to the world.. I didn't even really smell pizza in there since they all hide in the back.. Large place with a 10" tv I'm out of here batman... Total bore vibe

Gave LA Lasagna Co a try instead of going to Ravanelli's and we couldn't be happier. The Lasagna with meat and ricotta was very tasty and really hit the spot. Almost reminds me of the lasagna at Maggiano's but for a fraction of the price. The spaghetti and meat sauce was also very good. The pasta was only a little over cooked and there was a nice amount of sauce. The large flavorful chunks of meat was my favorite part of the sauce. The food was ready in 15 minutes and the prices were better. Can't wait to come back the next time I need a cheap Italian fix.

I started eating la lasagna 20 years ago the food is amazing ,the pizza by far is one of the best delivery pizzas in the valley . We order at least once per week .The delivery guys are amazing always happy and smiling and it gets here hot and fast .We love it! My only concern is the gentleman who answers the phone. As the owner's son you should have SOME customer service skills. Your customers are what keep you in business, be nicer to us.

Though I live near by I have never stepped into LA lasagna, usually delivery (don't judge me) My friend recommended this place and I would have to agree. I enjoy the chicken Parmesan dish and sandwich or the Lasagna combo.

I wouldn't give this place 4 stars and I wouldn't give it 3 stars..I would give it 3 1/2 but unfortunately I don't have that option so it gets 3..anyhowwww so I stumbled upon this place through an ad in this coupon book...Decided to order and get it to go...We ordered the cheese ravioli, chicken alfredo, and the florentine lasaga and the zucchini. Let's start off with the florentine lasagna with garlic sauce, I loveee lasagna but this one just didnt do it for me..the lasagna was not cooked at all, it was very hard, the spinach and ricotta cheese was great but I didn't really care for it. It really sucked! BLAH! The chicken alfredo the chicken was delicious, nice breaded chicken, I wasn't expecting it to be breaded thought it would be regular chicken breast but it wasn't bad, but the alfredo the dish overall was okay, I didn't like it too much it was lacking flavor without the chicken the noodles didn't taste right it was very heavy and creamy but lacked flavor. The cheese ravioli on the other hand was my favorite by far the yummy cheese and the delicious marinara sauce, it's hard to find good sauce but this one was definitely good. I would NEVER order the zucchini ever it was soggy and too thin it was horrible not sure if it got soggy from being to go or whatever but they were just cut too thin and needed a pick me upper. The garlic bread OHHHH YEAH..Delicious, definitely have to give them props on the garlic bread, I loved the lil sesame seeds, I think I had like 3 pieces..oink oink I know..haha.. Would I come back or order again..ehhhh probably not! It was good but nothing to jump over joy for.

I ordered a tray of lasagna for a birthday dinner and it was wonderful. The whole family liked it, and we are Italian. That is a compliment! A whole tray fed 16 people with a little left over. I would definitely order from here again.

This is for LA Lasagna Co's lunch only. They are a survivor of sorts as so many restaurants have gone by the wayside on Reseda, they are still alive and well and thriving. It's nice to know you can still get a decent Italian meal at a decent price at lunch time. Some of my favorites. The meatball sub is served on a fresh Italiano role with sesame seeds. The marinara is perfect for this sub and the melted cheese and ample and nice portioned meatballs say thatsa Italian! The turkey sub is layered nice and high on the same aforementioned Italian role, and served simply with provolone, mustard, lettuce and mayo( I hold the tomato and onion). Both subs are big enough to share. Their spaghetti and meat balls and namesake Lasagna are also good but a bit heavy for lunch time. I love their garlic bread too. I for one am glad this place is still in biz and going well.

I ordered a full pan of chicken parmigiana, which online, says it serves 15-20. We were having only 14 guests, a mixed group of men and women and including 1 child. The amount in the pan was VERY scanty and I knew right away it would not feed all of us, even if I as hostess didn't have any. Fortunately I had some Costco lasagna in the freezer to compensate. It was indeed very tasty, but will never order from them again.

I ordered deliver and got the lasagna and a side salads. The lasagna was the worst. I couldn't eat it. My fiancé thought it was edible but for someone who isn't use to greasy food I couldn't handle it. Wouldn't recommend. There's a lot of other food joints to order deliver food from.

Had to be the worst Italian food Ive ever had. Even though I'm half Italian I can still appreciate Olive Garden and small mom and pop restaurants like this one. Thats why I stopped in and tried this place. I ordered the chicken parmigian with penne pasta and the chicken had no flavor at all and the penne was over cooked it was tasted like mush. I dont even want to talk about how bad the sauce was. My girl ordered the lasagna. You would think it would be good because its called LA Lasagna Co. You could find better lasagna in the frozen section in your grocery store. Would never ever go back again.

Had Veggi Lasagna couple of times and must say its good and definitely very good for the price! I would recommend to get marinara sauce along with it...tastes perfect.

I went here based on yelp reviews... should have went with my gut instinct. Uninspired Italian food cold garlic bread and just plain boring sauce is what I found. Not surprised. Stay away!

The reviews here on Yelp are quite surprising to me and then maybe not. Why? Because this restaurant is very affordable. Their food is a little lackluster and could use some more seasoning and spices. I had the alfredo lasagna while my friend had the pasta. Overall it was alright. Nothing spectacular but hey... you are paying for what you get. P.S. Their cesar salad is really overrated on here!

THE SHORT: A poorly decorated (think Florida in the 80's), staffed completely by Latinos, Italian place that - shocker of all shockers - makes delicious Italian food?! How is this possible? It's like the Bermuda Triangle of Italian fare - it just exists without explanation. Do not judge this libro by its cover. Would recommend for take out ONLY. Unless you're 65+ and have plastic flamingos in your yard, then you will feel comfortable eating in. THE LONG: I had driven by LA Lasagna Co. many times and taken note of the name. "I wonder if that's any good," I thought. So I checked Yelp. Seemed like it was, so I made a note to try. The wife and I ordered Meat Lasagna, Lasagna Florentine (which is sans red sauce, with spinach), and something I had never eaten before called Arancini, which is battered beef and cheese. When we parked to pick up the food, I finally got a closer look at the place and instantly regretted ordering from here. You see, in case my Yelp name doesn't make this clear enough, my wife and I are a bit snobbish. And what we found ourselves looking at was a very brightly lit, very pink and pastel green fast food looking joint. Totally NOT what I had expected. "How did this happen? It's called the Lasagna Company? It's highly reviewed. Am I at the right place?" You see usually when I see a place like this, I know exactly what the food is going to be like before I taste it - a disappointing waste of $20. Already committed to the order, I reluctantly went inside where the disappointment deepened - an all Latino staff? My worst nightmare for an Italian place (just as I would be disappointed to walk into a Mexican restaurant and see an all Italian staff). But again, to quote the Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose, it was too late to turn back now. So I paid for my order, tried to remain optimistic, and went home. But then we ate it. And it was good, nay, it was bellissimo! All of it. Particularly the Arancini. And downright affordable, too. To quote our esteemed California Governor, I'll be back!

Have been going here since 1997. This place is so popular where I work, its like its our own cafeteria! The owner changed a few years back, but the quality and flavor has not! :)

One of my fave restaurants in the valley! I have been ordering from this restaurant for about 10 years now. Lasagna and pizza are delicious at a great price.

I would have given this great, little italian restaurant 5 stars, but you take your life in your hands when you try to find a parking space in their tiny, over crowded lot. I personally think they would do quite well if they moved their location to a better neighborhood with plenty of ample parking. I usually just park on a side street to avoid getting hit by what I gather will be an uninsured non-driving fool. I just get annoyed that I have to walk almost 2 blocks at that point. (But it's worth it!) Your best bet is to have them deliver. Their delivery service is very prompt. The drivers are courteous, and I've never received an incorrect order. Now...I'll give them 5 stars for customer service, excellent food, and reasonable prices! They don't skimp on their lasagna dishes either. The dining room is very clean and cozy. Never so crowded you can't find a table. They used to be owned by a family who actually worked there all the time, and he sold the restaurant to I believe one of his employees. The new owner has still managed to maintain the same quality of food, service and affordable pricing. I can't say enough about how good their food is, and they have a good variety to choose from (meat & meatless lasagna). Excellent pizza! Definately check them out!

While the pasty white skin and the lack of thick dark hair might throw you off, it is true that I am half Italian. My great grandparents hopped off a boat circa 1915. They moved to Seattle and the history of family cooking starts there. I remember walking in to my grandmother's kitchen and helping her stir sauce for hours at a time. The pot would sit on the stove for days until she decided it was perfect. Then we would make large pans of lasagna. Nothing cheers me up like a plate full of lasagna. While LA lasagna Company isn't the delicious food my grandmother cooked for me, it is tasty in it's own right. They have a nice menu with cheap dinner entres. the wife usually orders the lasagna Florentine. I have tried all varieties of lasagna, the meatball sub (who charges extra for cheese on a meatball sub? These guys) A couple of pizzas and the best thing ever: deep fried balls of risotto filled with mozzarella and meat sauce. They are so tasty, I might have to order them right now for delivery. Did I mention they deliver? Well they do.

I don't understand why someone would give this place 4 or 5 stars. The pizza is okay. Everything else on the menu is bland.

It looks like a fast food restaurant with an inside eating area. Unlike most fast food restaurants the food here is wonderful. Mangia! Ok, it isn't fancy but what a bang for the buck! The dinners are ample: check out the eggplant, the manicotti, the lasagna dinners. The pizza is also very good. If you are having a party, you can serve really delicious food to a lot of people for a very reasonable price. They also deliver. (We usually get the food to go.) The only problem with LA Lasaga is the parking lot in front can be difficult to get a spot in. Easier to park on Reseda or in the Vallarta lot behind. Be careful going after dark, the lots can be a little scary..

Had heard about this restaurant, but live kind of far away. We hit the jackpot and were at the Northridge Medical Center for an ultrasound (our baby looks great, by the way!) so we took a shot. The wife and I both love lasagna and are constantly on the lookout for a good one. This place did not disappoint. We each had the Lasagna combo which included a big salad and yummy garlic bread. The lasagna was very good, ricotta and a slightly spicy meat. Definitely want to come back. The rest of the menu looked good, too. The only drawbacks were the interior design was too green and not appetizing (should be red and white checkered tables and such...like a kitschy Italian place would be) and the water. Don't drink the water, it's terrible...after our meals, we didn't date take a last sip for fear it would ruin the great meal.

OOOOHHHHHH!!!!!! the best pizza i ever had was at pasquales on irving in san francisco. and, haven't been able to find anything like it for a while. i don't know why we stopped ordering from here. (probably because i hadn't been eating pizza). anyway, i re-discovered this place just this year. i never order from the chains, and didn't feel like driving to chichi's (another re-discovery). i asked if they had certain ingredients not on the pizza list, and got a pie just as good as the ones i am used to from the bay area....spinach, mushrooms, garlic, eggplant, sausage. yummmy!!!!!!!!

We found LA lasagna cause our friend lived down that street... across from the jolly jug! aww yah Jolly Jug! The pizza is pretty damn good... especially in the valley. Its no round table but a close second. Salads suck. Don't buy a salad here their lettuce is crap iceberg! I honestly haven't tried the lasagna. Moral of the rant: go for the pizza.

I don't get it. Tried it cuz of all the great reviews here but I wasn't impressed. Very generous portions and cheap (most pastas were under $6), but flavors were generic and meh (reminded me of Olive Garden, which I hate, though I haven't been there in years so don't know if it's still an accurate comparison). I tried the lasagna and the meat only lasagna (I like that they have this option, there was too much ricotta in the regular version for my tastes). They didn't taste bad, but it wasn't yummy either. The portion was huge, more than 1 serving for me, lots of meat, lots of cheese, lots of sauce. It's just the flavors weren't happening for me (I can be picky with Italian, I don't like generic marinara sauces that taste like something you can get from a jar). The side salad w/ italian dressing was also very large but not flavorful (lots of lettuce, i think iceberg, and a few veggies, bland dressing). Garlic bread also wasn't tasty, it was more like just bread (needed more butter and more garlic).

Best little Italian joint in the valley! I'm not a huge fan of Italian food, but I must say that I love this place when I'm craving some Eggplant Parmigiana. Both the pasta dinner and the sandwiche are incredible. I have not been able to find another place that serves eggplant quite like this. The pizza that they have here is also quite yummy. It's definitely not your typical Pizza Hut. I love this little place and it's pretty cheap.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
