Not bad for kind of a hole in wall type restaurant. I prefer this place over denny's now. Prices are cheap, quantity is good. They use real eggs and not the one that come in the carton. French Toast is made there as well. I like the way they made the corned beef hash. Has a thin layer of crispy to it. And they have rice as an option!! Eat your heart out Dennys, IHOP, and black bear diner. Lol I will definetely be coming here more often.

I have some elderly relatives who love this diner. It was a Nation's a long time ago, but it's now been a few owners since and it is definitely not on par with Nation's.. This is a small greasy spoon neighborhood diner with very lax service and a minimal menu. A lot of people seem to like their breakfast menu but when I've tried it, the eggs were undercooked (gross) and it wasn't too much to write home about. The burgers are a safer bet, but it's really just a very basic burger if you want something a step above what you'd get from a drive-thru. That's about it. Very basic stuff, nothing too awesome or horrible.. but I don't really understand the local hype. I was especially underwhelmed by the service. Every time I've been in, the staff is either MIA or chatting amongst themselves for 5-10 minutes before they greet customers. Not a huge deal, but a bit surprising given the presumed need for regular local clientele.

All Star is the place to go if you want really good, really reasonable, really diner-y diner food with super-friendly folks behind the register. For breakfast, I usually get the one egger because that is a silly amount of food already, but the last time I visited I was REALLY hungry, so I made the mistake of ordering the two egger. It was a mistake only in that I was so full, and there was still what looked like a large amount of food on my plate! The self-serve coffee is plentiful and brewed often. The place is clean and comfortable enough to kill an hour and although the dining area is quite tiny, I have never felt crowded or been deafened by the noise of grill and patrons.

All Star Burgers is not an amazing gourmet burger joint filled with crazy toppings and exotic meats. Rather they are a simple burger place that is a quick yummy option, when you want a bacon cheeseburger but don't want to pay $15+ tip in a restaurant or pay $2 at a drive through and have you tummy hate you for it later. I used to be a huge fan or In n Out, until I ate here. Yes, some of their items taste like you could cook them better at home and yes, their items are not heavily seasoned but its ok because its all still super tasty, satisfying and convenient. No, I've never had a greasy burger (or a dry one), but there has been times where the juice and mayo combine and drip out the backside. My husband and I frequently get burgers, usually bacon (mmm.. bacon), fries for him, and onion rings for me. They have a tendency to give you way more fries than one person needs, so lately we've opted to share the fries and skip the onion rings all together. We have yet to be disappointed with any of our food but tend to be disappointed in ourselves when we demolish everything in our order.

This is a local favorite, I eat here once a week. While the building may not look the most glamorous, it makes up for it in the food. People are always coming in and out and for a little place on the corner they do a great business. The burger specials are very inexpensive and are an amazing value. Nothing is fancy but it's great if you're not looking for an over the top place. The staff (usually just one cook and one server) are always friendly. I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Solid breakfast and burgers! Nothing fancy, but the food is good and cheap!

If you're looking to get the best bang for your buck, I highly recommend that you visit All Star for a fast and cheap meal. Menu isn't extensive, but it's to the point. Breakfast, Burgers, Sandwiches, and maybe hot dogs? Don't really remember. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger meal for about $7. I'm more than completely satisfied. Their breakfast plates are pretty hefty as well. Food isn't OMG to die for, but it gets it's job done. Food tastes OK. Service is great. Prices are pretty unbeatable. I'm an All Star fan.

My family has lived in Newark for 17 years. Holy crap...that's a long time. All Star Burger is no stranger to me. They've been around for as long as i remember. I use to come here a lot in high school so I'm sure I was no stranger to them either at the time. What you realize when coming here is that their business strategy works - everything on their menu is basic. Burgers with a patty, lettuce, tomato, lettuce, condiments. Add cheese for a cheeseburger. Add chili for a chili burger. Add both for a chili cheeseburger. What they make is basic but they make it well. I came here the other day for the first time in what must be a few years, and nothing has changed. The same food/menu, same decor, and most importantly - the same hard working family that owns it, telling me that they've had some success over the years. The business showed no signs of slowing down either as the people kept pouring in.

I went here with a friend I found it to be decent food. I did like that they cooked to order. The food was pretty fresh

little hole in the wall place that you've probably drove by and never saw. Family owned and very friendly. food is pretty tasty but nothing special. nice little grub to grab down the street!

  • Vika K.

Excellent service. Drunchies were satisfied. Prices are fairly cheap compared to other burger joints. They also serve breakfast aside from burgers. They serve wings, spam, steak sandwiches. Pretty good! I would suggest to dine here if you're looking for a get to place to just grub, I would recommend All Star!

This is my second time coming here and my previous experience was great. The food was good and the service as well. Today I'm seating in front of the lady who is preparing my food and she had some left over potatoes on the side of the grill and mixed a little more potatoes to pretend that it was a new badge. I asked the cashier if those potatoes on the gill were for me and she said yes. I told her i didn't want the left over ones, i wanted fresh ones. She then proceeded to make fresh one. There is an older guy who i assume is the manager by the way he talks to the girls, walked behind me and had a glance of what i was doing on the phone (yelp) and told her something in a language other than Eng. and the lady noted and came to me and said that the leftover potatoes were for her co-worker. I gave this place a 2 star because the food is good but they need to make food fresh for their customers.

I had the All Star burger. Nice flavor but it fits s diner burger so definitely not commercialized. The staff are nice people. They have a wide variety of menu item ranging from breakfast, lunch & dinner. I have it a 4 stars because nothing stood out about the food. I will come back and try other items and they also have pie and who doesn't like pie.

'Best 2 egger breakfast with sausage n toast, prices are amazing. Please try there bacon cheeseburgers, almost as good as (in n out). You will not be disappointed.

I have always wanted to try this place. I pass by it from time to time and just wondered how it would be. When I was craving a burger for lunch this past weekend, I told my husband that I wanted to go here. When you walk in, you go up to the counter and put in your order. Then find a seat. The place was pretty busy that day, so the seats were limited. And it was like that the whole time that we were there. The place itself doesn't look that clean or tidy. So, I had my doubts about the food. Our number was called and we got our food and condiments. The burgers were ok. They weren't bad, but it wasn't the best that I ever had. It was a little greasy. The fries were pretty good, though. And they give you a lot of them. I couldn't even eat them all. Overall this was place was ok for me. Nothing special, but nothing too bad.

My brother and I are regulars at this place. Perfect option if you just want a simple, delicious cheeseburger, fries, and a shake. Besides that, I absolutely love their omelets. I usually get the combination that has tons of veggies and meat. It is so filling and good. You can either get it with toast and hash browns or pancakes. I like that they make one of the pancakes shaped like Mickey Mouse. It's a nice, little, friendly touch that makes me smile :-) The quality of their food has stayed consistent all these years. Good job guys!

Been living in Newark for what seems like forever and All Star Burgers is so close to my place you can walk to it. The food has never disappointed and if you want tasty food day or night, this is the place. The 1, 2 and if you dare the 3 egger (triple portions) are delicious but the piece the resistance as far as breakfast are the omelets always so flavorful regardless of the choice. I always go for the veggie sans the onions. For a buck less you can get a la carte. The burgers and fries are awesome as well and if you order the hot dog beware it's huge! My favorite place to have a delicious quick bite in all of Newark and prices are very reasonable.

The Good: The Burger, the amount of fries, the service. The Bad: Breakfast was good, but not great. The Review: There's three things I know about myself: 1) I am a lover, not a fighter 2) I think girls that wear glasses are hot 3) I love diner food. When I found out there a diner near my new place I was psyched! I've only had a few different items here, but I enjoyed them all. The service is excellent, with everyone greeting you with a smile. Burger, fries, soda, and a milkshake. A great choice for dinner after a long day at work. The burger patty is large, the fries are plentiful, the soda tastes right, and the milkshake is sometimes overkill, but delicious. I've also tried a few of their pies. I really enjoyed the Apple, not so thrilled about the Lemon Merenge, but maybe because I don't like the Merenge portion...I don't like it enough to figure out how to spell Merenge. I had the fortune one morning to fulfill one of my dreams, have diner food at a diner before work...hey it's the little victories right? I was happy the service was quick. I got eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and pancakes (the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast). These were all well made, but nothing to write home about. Whenever I want a good quality burger I will come to All Star!

I have been coming to All Star Burger my whole life. Its a simple, down to earth diner that people who grew up in Newark come to eat some good food. Breakfast time is always busy but still worth the wait. One time i had an all star burger for lunch at work. I asked my coworker who i also went to elementary with, if he knew where the burger i was eating came from, and he knew! Haha thats how long all star has been around. If you're from Newark then you gotta know about all star burger.

Best Burger join in Newark area hands down! No Competition, I love this place.

  • Joseph T.

Some of the best breakfast Ive ever had. The hash-browns are delicious, the eggs are perfect, and the pancakes are superb. Not always the best customer service, but the food is served fast and the price is affordable. $5 will get you a nice filling breakfast. Coffee offers unlimited free refills so bring your own mug. Breakfast is served all day.

This place is a classic neighborhood cafe/burger joint, and has an almost 50's feel to it. Don't expect gourmet exotic foods or pretty garnishes, it's not that type of place. Plan on basic burgers or breakfasts which are done to perfection in the classic American sense. Skip the Denny's or other breakfast/burger places in a similar price range, this place is a level above them in quality.

    (5)
  • Todd V.

Wow. Reallt enjoyed this place. I didnt expect much but the burger turned out really well. Cashier was a youngster, very respectful and courteous. Burger was delicious. Buns were soft, bacon was thick and crisp, cheese flavorful, veggies crisp. They gave me hella fries. Combo came out to about $9.00. If the meal was $2 cheaper this would be a five star review. This small mom & pop diner makes a mean burger and I will be returning.

Pretty good for being a hole in the wall! Burgers are definitely amazing, but I'm not too crazy about their breakfast.

Staff is friendly and quick. French toast is totally addictive. Linguica sandwiches are tasty too. Location leaves something to be desired. My mom used to come here for shakes after school 60+ years ago. I'm not sure it's been update since then!

  • Wesley S.

I love this place there's nothing like sitting at a counter watching them cook up your food getting that diner feeling and who doesn't like a to-go bag with a little grease lol definitely going there in the morning to get a quick bite!!

  • Joshua R.

Great spot to eat. The food taste great. The service is great too. I would eat with my co workers all the time here. The atmosphere is warming and laid back. The food has a price issue but it's always gets cooked well so it's not that big enough of an issue. Would return in the future! Thanks guys.

I love these types of place, small mom & pop type feel. Good greasy burger, decent fries. I want to go back for the breakfast based on other reviews.

  • Vickie A. S.

Location good. Staff is friendly. BURGER = fail. I checked all the reviews in hopes it would be acceptable. Everyone has different taste and I cant do a dry cheese burger. MAYBE it was the fake cheese. Nevertheless I am very disappointed. I wish they would ask if I enjoyed the food. I would be very honest.

Closest place I can find that makes burgers just like back home. Place is good and simple . Family ran and owned which is always nice. I enjoy getting lunch here and wife. She likes it too which is always a plus. We'll be back for sure!

This is an old but decent diner in Newark. It was an all woman crew when we were there, more power to them. A couple of them were sweet but the woman who made the burger and brought it out was sour. The chocolate mousse pie tasted OK but I think was a little old. The burgers and fries were good.

On two occasions when I was driving by this joint, it was crowded. And on one particular Sunday afternoon (not this one), I had to satisfy my curiosity as to why that was the case. Ordered a spicy chicken burger with onion rings to substitute the fries and a soda (it was around $10). The burger was a little on the greasy side and the skin fell apart kind of easily from the rest of the meat, but other than that it was pretty alright. The onion rings also fell apart and were a little on the heavy side. I felt so full afterwards! But to be honest, I could've certainly found a better place to enjoy a meal like that for a cheaper price (and probably a little more healthier). Also, the wait to get my food was kind of long, but hey, as long as a place is crowded, people are bound to like it, right? In conclusion, this place is alright, but it's not like I'll be thinking of this place instantly when I have a craving for burgers. Hence the A-OK rating.

This is your basic burger and grill joint. The owners are really nice and courteous. And the place is clean. I ordered the All Star Hamburger Combo, which comes with fries and a fountain drink for around $7.00. Not a bad deal. The burger itself is very basic: bun, lettuce, raw onions, tomatoes, mustard and mayo. But it is served with what looks like either a 1/4 lbs or 1/3 lbs of meat. As for the fries, they were OK. Crispy, but greasy. I don't have anything else to rave about. This is a decent establishment. Good people, good food. I'll probably come back.

Place is a dive..... Looks a little scary at night, but smells like a diner smells (or a mom and pop burger joint). Gotta go back to try the burgers!

I love these little family run places. Food quality is good, fun and casual, really casual, you can probably get away with farting if you want and if you don't have a shirt on, I bet they'll still serve you. All the neighbors stop in so you're likely to see someone you know if you live in Newark. Always at least one cool old car parked out front. One problem, no Ranch to dip my fries in. That's right, you heard me correctly, NO RANCH. Oh they have a bottle of hidden valley in the fridge, the giant Costco size, probably from the 80s but that doesn't cut it man, not when the ingredients are so cheap and the shelf life so long for the real deal ranch. Listen, if you have a burger place you have to have good ranch to dip the fries in. I'll stop in this weekend but I'll bring my own ranch.

I've lived in the are for close to 5 years now and I just tried this joint. The service sucks. They are not friendly at all! Not a smile, not a "hi", nothing... The food however is not all that bad. My son had a plain cheeseburger and I had the chicken sandwich with fries. I wasn't too sure about the mean in the burger so I took the first bite to check out it was well done and it was and it was actually tasty. My chicken sandwich was really good. My son enjoyed the place because he got to do whatever he wanted without anyone telling him to stop. I would probably go out there again but it might take me another 5 years. :)

Stopped in for the first time! My cheese burger was awesome. The fries were a big portion enough for two but a little to well done, I will still stop by when in the area food was not bad at all. ;€~

What can I say, classic neighborhood burger joint. Quick, yummy, and convenient! And oh man, their chili cheese fries....

Workers here are SUPER friendly and they take CC. Always someone from the family is working - I've encountered the wife, the husband, the daughter, and the son all at altenating times and they are super friendly - as is the cook. My typical order here is just fries, extra crispy. It's greasy but it is super tasty and the milkshakes are amazing. Not too sweet and before you know it, it's gone.

Big portions served here... Awesome service... Family owned and operated

This place is pretty good. Had a burger&fries here before and I really liked it. Their breakfasts here are good also. I usually don't prefer pancakes but they're tasty here. For the Disney fans, they make mickey mouse shaped pancakes. Fast service with good prices and nice workers. Overall, a good hole in the wall place. I'll be returning.

I was craving protein and let's face it who doesn't love a good juicy delicious burger? Didn't want Nation's as it has been hit or miss this past year so did a YELP search and bam! All Star Burgers it is! Place has OK parking but you can always park on street or across as we observed. Ordered the All Star Cheeseburger Combo which comes with everything, fries and fountain drink ($7.21 including tax). Cashier was friendly and helpful. Now onto the food. Cheeseburger was well done but still very juicy and flavorful. Wish medium rare was an option but they didn't ask. Fries was crispy and moist, not too salty. Fountain drink is your usual run of the mill soda machine. Self serve ketchup/mustard station. Ample napkins and full salt and pepper shakers on tables. Place felt cozy and neighborly but wish they would bus the tables more quickly as customers loiter around uncomfortably while waiting for a clean table. It's a good, cheap place for hot, filling, comfort food but if you are looking for immaculate windows, floors and tables, etc. I suggest looking elsewhere. Just wish All Star Burgers wasn't so out of the way on Thornton Ave.... :(

I remember eating here with my cuzin when he used to live in newark off broadway. My favorite was the grilled cheese with bacon it alwayz did the trick and got me full too. There cheeseburgers were good too. A lil greasy but not too bad.

I think I just found my new favorite local diner! I had a cheeseburger, fries, and a cookies and cream shake for $8. The burger wasnt very big but it was delicious, tasty not too greasy, on a sponge bun. "Everything" is lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and mustard but they had other condiments available. They look like they have some yummy (cheap - 3- 5 dollar) breakfast deals too, might have to come back to try breakfast. The place looks very divey with cheap tables and a small area of bar seating, the outside has a old but classic burger joint look. Dont let the look deter you, its decently priced and good quality diner food!

  • Sara S.

The ladies here are so nice! They greet me every morning and even remembered my "usual" which is fun since you always see shows/movies where they go in and ask for the usual lol. The breakfast here is great, not too greasy, cooked right every time. The fries and burgers aren't bad either, I always get the bbq side sauce for the fries and it taste amazing! The only down side is the cleanliness, I don't always see them washing there hands, though they do where gloves. After seeing their bathroom i was horrified and hoped it wasn't that dirty in the back kitchen too. I sit upfront at the booth to watch them make my food just in case and I've never had a problem.

Tasty burger and fries. Prices are reasonable. A little bit on the greasy side but still good. Very friendly service. Would definitely try breakfast.

I have eaten here many times and I can say that the food is good. The place is an old Nations hamburger building that hasn't been renovated since it was built in the 40's. It is an asian family who owns/runs it... so that may be the reason for no real courtesy when ordering/receiving food (plus they have an accent which makes it hard to understand sometimes). Pricing is about what you'd expect, slightly high but not exorbitant. I have no beef with the place as I will continue to patronize the establishment. They have a small selection of ice cream available too. They serve donuts?!? I've never seen any, but then again I go for lunch and dinner...

Friendly owners, cooks and cashiers! Their breakfasts are huge as well as their burgers and everything tastes delicious!

    (4)
  • Rhea S.

The food is okay. The burgers can be on the greasy side. The onion rings are pretty good, I like it when they are cut wide. Although they offer breakfast, it is not their strength. Their breakfast is nothing to rave about; it's basic, kinda bland, and nothing to get excited over. I usually come during the summer for their milkshakes. The large size is a great value (BY FAR) for the amount you get, in comparison to their small or medium size cup container. There can be a wait, usually for take-out orders, so call ahead and place your order over the phone. I wouldn't get the pie they have in the fridge behind the counter. It looks like they got it from Costco, and have it covered with just saran wrap. Usually only 1 or 2 slices are gone, but from the looks of it I am not sure how long it's been sitting there.

Hey for a greasy spoon this place hit the spot. I ordered the All Star cheeseburger and the guy behind the counter told me about the special: Cheesburger, fries, drink for $6.50 or so. Very cool. Self serve drink (free refills! YAY!) Sat down while they prepared grub. Place was clean, tables wiped down. He brought me my meal: LOTS of fries, crisp too. Burger was juicey, perhaps a bit greasy but like I said it hit the spot.Cheap, fast, delish! If yer ever on Thorton in Newark, swing by. Make yer tummy happy!

this place should offer a side of lipitor with every purchase. the only reason i ate here is because i was getting my car smogged next door and had twenty minutes to kill. i ordered the two egg breakfast with less than pleasing results. stale ass toast. salty fookin' bacon, and not in a good way. hash browns lacking any crisp, and oil soaked. eggs, hard to fook up, a special shout out to tapatio for rescuing the huevos. thank dog my car passed it's smog so i don't have to come back for another two years.

How this place only has 3 and a half stars be founds me. This place is great! I got here all the time, they have really good hamburgers, good fries, they serve breakfast at all hours, and an assortment of hot sauces (which I love). The prices are also really good and the people that work there are nice. They've never messed up my order and I've been going there for years, that's impressive.

It's nothing like a restaurant of course, but for a burger place, they gave me some really great food for the price though (10$ for a double Swiss burger with chilli cheesed fries and a drink). Friendly and helpful people there too, who didn't hesitated to turn one the whole cooking area again just for me, as I showed up during a time nobody was there.

closest hole in the wall burger joint to my work. If you have time and are in the area its just above food chain quality. When Im tired of McD,BK,Carl Jr or Taco Bell, Id hit this spot.

  • Sylvia N.

Don't expect much. The food isn't the greatest, but it's filling and nice to go with friends. The prices are cheap though, so that's always a plus too. I usually get the Giant breakfast platter: eggs, hash browns, and bacon. It'll definitely get you full. For lunch, I get the basic All Star Burger. It's good, decent size, and pretty satisfying. The people are pretty nice, and the waiting time is usually not that bad. They're pretty quick on getting your orders. Again, nothing special but cheap which is always nice. I like this place because of the junior high and high school memories I've had there. I live down the street too, so it's nice to come by and grab some breakfast or lunch every now and then. If it wasn't a usual eating spot for me and my friends, it'd probably recieve 2 stars. (=

This place is not the best in Newark. The order process is ridiculous and food is mediocre at best. W"ill not be back. I usually like hole in the wall joints but the service here is even bad.

Price: When I looked at the menu, I thought it seemed fair, but after I ordered, I realized paying almost $9 for a bacon cheesburger, frieds, and a drink is a bit steep. It's no mcdonalds and definitely no 99 cent menu, but I suppose they can charge a bit more since their burgers are tasty and better prepared than other fast food places. Service: Service was okay. Nothing to complain about. Took a while for the food to be ready, but I just took it as them taking more time to make sure the food was well prepared. Taste: My friend kept telling me how awesome the food was and I have to agree. He had the fried chicken and I had the bacon cheeseburger. Definitely filling, but a bit greasy. The fries were not too bad, maybe a bit undercooked. The food was really simple, nothing that really stood out. It was a typical American burger and I liked it. Atmosphere: I wouldn't come to this place for the atmosphere. It isn't the cleanest little joint. It actually looks pretty broken down as if it's been around for a while. What You'll Remember: The see-through paper bags with your food in it, but the great taste it provides :) Comment: I'd definitely go back and try some of their other foods on the menu. They also serve breakfast - pancackes, omlettes, etc. Kind of reminds me of a fosters/dairy queen/peanuts. Cheers, T-Chung

I just love their cheeseburgers and omelette (combination)! I just wish they offer more combo meals. It's true that the place is not that clean. Just eat fast or order for To Go! hehe!!

I have been eating at All Star burgers pretty frequently for the past few months. If you're looking for a burger that is much better than any fast food drive thru joint this is the place you want to be. They also have tons of other menu items ranging from breakfast to hot wings and chicken sandwiches. This place is very similar to Nations if you've ever been there.

All star burgers is one of those places that you wouldn't necessarily go out of your way for but if you are in the are.. (directly in the area) you would think about stopping by... The prices are very reasonable. As long as I can remember the prices have barely changed. The food tastes the same and the menu has its occasional changes once in a while but over all its a pretty simple straight forward menu. I would suggest to try it if you're in the area.

This is a former Nation's and isn't bad. Food is pretty decent, especially the hamburgers. My one "beef" is with breakfast. You can get pancakes instead of hash browns and toast. Great. But whether you eat in or take it go to, THEY PUT PANCAKES ON TOP OF THE OTHER FOOD. My wife once had pancakes and eggs over easy to go. We opened the box to find that yoke was all over the pancakes and my wife didn't want to eat them anymore. Would it kill them to put the pancakes on a separate plate to eat in, and a separate box to go?????? One more thing: Do NOT eat in on a hot day. There is NO AC and eating there is brutal. We tried once and afterwards I needed to go home and shower.

For the price and quality of the burger, it deserves the five stars.

I've been to this place a number of times when I just had to have a real burger (not from a chain). They do a good job of that, and usually have friendly counter help. Big burgers, lots of fries. Perfect for filling for that gut-bomb need. I've never done the breakfast here, but I've watched it made/served and it seems to be fairly typical eggs/bacon/browns type deal with large portions. Not a particularly clean place, but not filthy either. The bathroom is a scary place, with ample tagging and a sometimes flickering light that leaves you alternately in darkness then in junkie light. The other thing about the place is they still use styro. Would love to see that change.

All Star is like a ghetto Nations. It has pretty much the same menu except it's cheaper and not so good quality. I went there for dinner last night and got the breakfast (Giant) platter with bacon. For some reason my eggs tasted like it was fried in rubber and my hash browns had a weird flavor to it too. The bacon was pre-made, and re-cooked when you order so that was kinda weird. It tasted alright though, but just knowing that they pre-cooked it is just weird. I don't remember All Star Burgers being this way! The food used to be really good, but I guess over the years it's changed a bit. The only thing good were the hot cakes we got. Old fashioned style hot cakes and it was so homemade-like, they weren't even in the shape of circles. They were more like flower shaped. Still delicious though. Prices are great. Service is not so good. The girl at the counter spoke english like it was her primary language, but couldn't understand when I asked her if the hot links were all beef. She seemed a little slow to me. All stars only deserves 2 stars from me.

I've been eyeing this place for quite some time now. I live pretty close by and I always see people in there, but haven't heard much about the place. So one day my boyfriend and I decided on a whim to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised! We both ordered bacon cheeseburgers (I don't know what's up with me and burgers these days...), a side of regular fries and onion rings. The burgers were pretty big and tasty. I don't really have much to say about the food -- it wasn't bad, but it wasn't extraordinary either. I'm definitely coming back, and most likely trying out their breakfast menu as well.

I don't know why everyone else is giving All Star bad reviews. It's good, cheap, they always get your order right, and fairly quick. The burgers are sooooo good. The fry sizes seem to be inconsistent however. The partner in crime has had the breakfast which is huuuuge and he enjoyed all except he said the hash browns were a little dry. Sure it's a dive, but it's great for takeout.

I love this place. The all star burgers and fries are the best. I don't like to eat there because the place is pretty ugly, but the food is delicious.

Best burgers in the bay area. The place leaves much to be desired as far as ambiance, but the price is right, and the taste is excellent.

EH. I only come here when my dad's company gives him a bunch of vouchers to this place. Its alright. Their breakfast menu is pretty weak. Ordered 2 eggs/bacon/ hashbrowns. Their burgers are just ok as well. I had the pastrami sandwich earlier, and it was really greasy. I think the bread was oiled up as well. Although the bread was soft, so up 1 for that. I also saw a fridge filled with pies...didnt look too appetizing when you could see them all sliced up and the saran wrap pressing down on the pie. I dont know how fresh it is. The place is clean with friendly staff and it's also nice to see them cook the food right in front of you. And as someone had mentioned earlier in their post...it really does look like a ghetto Nations. But like i said, It's clean and that's what really matters. Would I come back and actually pay for these meals?....probably not, I think I'd rather make the extra drive to In-n-out.

I went here with a friend because when I was younger I used to go here all the time. We got a large box of fries and I got the bacon cheeseburger. It's the standard run of the mill burger honestly, it's nothing awesome but it's satisfying. The fries are pretty good. I'll probably come back again.

This place used to be a Nations and still serve similar menu items. I had the 3 egg breakfast. I did not like the bacon, the eggs looked and tasted weird, and the hash browns were undercooked.I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

I agree with LL's review that the name is misleading because they don't serve donuts, and neither did I see any All Stars. Excluding myself. It's 55 cents to add a slice of cheese to your burger. You can't call me cheap because I didn't say that was good or bad, I'm just saying. Unlike my buddy Drew, who raved about it, I would say it was about average. Nothing to really run screaming down the street about. But then Drew was really, really, really hungry. And what isn't totally delicious when you are starving. Even Lard tastes pretty good if you are famished.
