One of the best taqueria's I have ever been to! I found this place when I was on a lunch break at work nearby. I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite has always been Lengua, but it is hard to find a place that can do it right. And boy, did they get it right!!! This became my regular spot whenever I wanted mexican food! I recommended this place to my husband and it became his favorite spot also. He now takes his work buddies here and they all love it also. Only Con - having to go back to work with Food Coma!!

In Mtn. View this is my go to taqueria when I'm hungry and in between here and their. It's right off the 85 highway in a small shopping center. I've been in the area a lot of times and when I discovered this check in I fell for their super tacos instantly. I've brought several colleges and they too have started supporting. It's hard to find good food and when you do you gotta share, right?! I've tried the chile Colorado, flautas, lengua, carnitas burritos, tacos, super tacos, quesidilla. All delicious, service is attentive and good arrives within a timely manner which I like being I rarely have any time to drag. Good stuff I'll post many more pix in the near future

This place is legit. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is IT. I've tried, the fried tilapia (#47), camarones a la diabla (#32), tostada de ceviche de camarón (#15) and menudo (#50). They're the best of the best. Food is super fresh. Micheladas are amazingly tasty! Prices are great for the food and service they give. Definitely my go-to spot for Mexican food! Fresh soup on the weekends too!

Taqueria Tres Hermanos is my go-to taqueria whenever I'm in Mountain View. Their food is really great but I think their prices went up a bit since I last came. Their selection is what you'd expect of a taqueria but the quality is really good and the severs are great and taking your order as you desire it. I always ask for extra beans and they deliver every single time! I usually order their super quesadilla plate but I recently tried to tackle their red wet burrito and had to sit around a bit to get myself out of a food coma. I love them for lunches or dinners and I'm trying to get everyone I know to go if they ever need a taqueria to eat at.

I love me some veggie burritos. I feel like they're a real test of how good a taqueria is and how fresh the ingredients are. I've had two burritos here and I can definitely say that I'm very happy at the end of the meal. The individual components are well seasoned and it's not too wet or too dry. They'll also make it spicy if you ask. Did I mention the ladies who work here are super nice? Good food and nice people; what more could you want from a little taqueria?

They have really good burritos.. The best I have had in a long time. I think there just a lite small.

Awesome place. They play soccer on the TVs and they have chorizo. The chinichanga was so good.

Went there today and had a super pollo burrito and horchata. Both were amazing. I was relllllly really hungry to be fair, burrito was a little spicy which I liked. Not loaded with fresh veggies, more of a fried rice and refried beans type (delicious haha). Actually walked it back home and it was still hot when I got back. The employees were joking around about how one of them pronounced something in English in a funny way. I was distracted and missed the joke exactly, but very friendly for the moment I was there and tried to incorporate me into the fun. One cool extra note is that my little sister wasn't sure if she wanted the horchata. The cashier noticed and, without being asked, gave her a complimentary sample which we both thought was exemplary. Other bullets I would add, -Fast -Clean -Well Priced -Plenty of available seating at lunch time Friday

Good order-over-the-counter Mexican place. Ordered Chile relleno plate and was huge and very tender and tasty. The corn tortillas were hand made and way better from the ones you get at the store. Reasonable prices too.

Who can say no to freshly made tortillas. Yes, you read that right. This is one of the of the few locations that makes tortillas on the spot when you order. I've been here three times and over all the food is pretty good. The times I've been there I've had their breakfast items. I personally like the ham and eggs plate. Very good, a generous side of rice and beans with freshly hand made tortillas. My Bf has had the chilaquiles, I have to say that the sauce they use on the chilaquiles is freshly made not out of a can. Those also come with a side of beans and rice. I think next time I am giving the chile verde a try. Prices are pretty average. Plenty of parking. Oh, and very nice staff.

the first thing i want after a long international trip is a burrito. i had never been here before and didn't even know it existed, b/c it is hidden in the plaza by shana thai. i got a fish burrito and asked for avocado (yet another thing that is impossible to find abroad), and the cashier assured me that there was already guac in the burrito. when i got it though, it did not come with either guac or avocado. :( sadly, i realized it too late and ate half my burrito, b/c i was so hungry. w/ hot sauce, it was still good, but it would have been much better w/ the avocado.

It's a shame this place doesn't have more reviews and that the current reviews aren't very positive. I started coming here for lunch recently and I've grown to really like the place and think it deserves a good review. Tres Hermanos is nestled in a quiet little plaza that seems pretty overlooked given its proximity to downtown Mountain View. The restaurant is a long, classic California Mexican restaurant. Telenovelas are usually playing when I come in, the lunch crowd is almost entirely Spanish-speaking. All good signs if you're looking for an authentic taqueria experience (which you might not be, that's cool). As a native Southern Californian (San Diego), I tend to prefer Southern California Mexican food to Northern California fare. However, this place honestly compares to some of my favorites from home. The meat is flavorful, with a little spice (something I think Northern California transplants are a bit afraid of, to say the least). The tortillas are soft, and warm, the perfect blanket for a little donkey. The rice and beans (refried) are pretty minimalist in the more San Diego border tradition, but taste fantastic. I was really surprised to learn they make California burritos. I always approach California burritos with caution (and a little anxiety in Northern California) but, Tres Hermanos' California is definitely a winner. Crispy fries, awesome carne asada, and really decent guac makes the California a winner. I don't review places like this based on service, and frankly, if your metric includes service as a standard criterion wherever you go, you're a tool. The people here are decent and seem pretty hard-working. Who cares what Silicon Valley lunch crowders think of them? Overall, a great place to eat lunch. Highly recommended!

Growing up in Las Vegas and living in LA for 7 years, I've got a pretty solid handle on what good Mexican food is, specifically good burritos. This is definitely the best burrito place in Mountain View and likely the surrounding area. (Yes I've had La Bamba and La Costenia). They always come out hot and fresh and the red salsa is spicy and delicious. (The salsa verde is also good for those who like mild) I've also ordered the dozen tamales and they are as authentic as they get. I got twelve and my girlfriend and I finished them in two days. You do the math on that goodness.

My taquitos came from the freezer =( I tried a bite of the wet burrito from my fiance. It was really good so I guess if you're going to come here, order the burrito.

  • Christine T.

Ordered a regular al pastor burrito with guac. The burrito was mediocre, and either they were really stingy on the guac or messed up my order because I did not taste nor see any guac. Even after I went up to ask, they said that it was added to my burrito...shrug. The rest of my coworkers seemed unimpressed with the food as well. I saw the side of guac one of them got and it just looked like mushy green sauce with some tomatoes so that made me feel a little better about the case of the missing guac in my burrito.

I had a craving for meat after a meatless Tuesday. Decided to try out the taqueria near the independent grocer on Moffett. I ordered one chicken taco and my friend two chicken tacos with onions and cilantro, paid together so that we could use a credit card. When we got back to the office, we discovered all three tacos on one plate. This wouldn't be an issue for most, but our company doesn't stock the kitchen with anything. The lightly seasoned shredded chicken sits on top of a pair of yellow corn tortillas. We boosted the flavor with some green salsa and fresh lime juice. (They gave us only one wedge of lime for three tacos.) The food is nothing special and they didn't give us much meat. Many empty tables and no line to order, even though we arrived at noon and took our time deciding. Parking in this strip mall is difficult in the small lot. The driveway from Moffett is a bit steep - I scrape the front end entering and exiting each and every time, even though I take it easy and try to not to enter/exit at a right angle. (Proof is on the scarred road surface). My boyfriend takes care of my car and probably hates when I shop in this strip mall. I'll ask my friend to drive next time - her car sits higher off the ground. Three stars for okay, cheap Mexican food near work.

I tough this place was a good one base on the ratings but, NO that was a terrible mistake!! The flautas dish that I order two of those was so burn it look black! The beans and the rice had not good taste at all, also the quesadilla dish is nasty

    (1)
  • Sabrina A.

Meh. I've gone twice and ordered a few things, each time I was left thinking -meh. Inside is drab and sad, spacious, but old feeling. The cashier and cook are polite enough, but not really that happy. The food is lacking real flavor and the free chips are stale. Meh.

  • Kim N.

Decent taqueria i. This old strip mall of moffett. I think the better one of the taquerias is the one in the grocery store across the way. Tacosmare standard and the space is also average taqueria. Good for a quick run but there are many better places to be had not too far away

    (3)
  • Peter T.

Pretty good, but not the best. Their tortillas are really great, and the portions are pretty big. The meat and produce could be a bit better though.

  • Mike Q.

I tend to judge taquerias a tad more strictly, since they're so close to my heart. So as far as Tres Hermanos goes, it's pretty average, especially considering the variety of excellent taqueria choices available in Mt View. My biggest gripe: the burritos are pretty sloppy. They come apart almost every time, and the meat isn't anything to write home about. Very nice staff though!

  • Nhung T.

I was super hungry after the gym and the only thing I can grab on the way back to work was this place. I know...not that healthy, but better than Mc Donalds or something. My boss also stated that she liked this place. So I ended up ordering the super burrito, half carne asada and lengua. OMG, it was one of the worst burrito I have ever ate!!! The burrito was so mushy and all I tasted was the cheese. I just hope my stomach doesn't hurt afterward. Never to return.

Best tacos and great staff! I love this place! Not the most glamorous but taquerias aren't supposed to be. Classic homemade tasting Mexican food. Yummmm!

  • Tina L.

I only come here for the tacos. I've tried finding delicious tacos in Mountain View and this is the only place that can make them juicy and tasty. The salsa is a perfect level and adding a little bit of lemon hits the spot. They have other plates that are good too but I recommend the tacos de carne asada. Great place for a taco run.

    (4)
  • Alma L.

Just another neighborhood taqueria. I've had their shrimp burrito, carne asada torta and tacos, and enchiladas suizas. Their enchiladas suizas are good but their salsa verde is pretty tangy. Good, but a little too tangy. They sell beer so it's always good to get some to go down with those carne asada tacos. Their prices are pricey for what they're serving so that's why I'm giving them 3 stars since I know of more places where you can get more bang for your buck.

    (3)
  • Jamie C.

Good food. Cheap food. 3 taco entree is good. Great chips n salsa. I had their flautas - kind of bland, so I wouldn't recommend it. Their burritos were decent, lot of flavor but needs more meat. Go next door if you want some after lunch fun w/ the quarter machine.

This place has the best super nachos...its definitely a lot of good tasty food for the money. I just wish they served more salsa with their dishes.

Basically a below-average taqueria in an area where above-average taquerias are the norm. AMBIANCE: A sterile, shopping mall look. There is minimal artwork on the walls, including some small, uninspired murals that look they were traced from graphic art templates. The air conditioning is set on "arctic gale", which had me going back to the car for my coat (it was a perfect 70 degrees outside). SERVICE: A little chilly (to match the A/C). On my second visit, I asked for the "wet" burrito, which normally comes as a super (with gauc, sour cream, cheese). But I didn't want those extras and asked for a wet burrito based on a "regular." They grudgingly complied, but the cashier charged me the complete wet burrito price (meaning I paid about $2 for a little sauce on top). Quite the ripoff. When I complained about this, she just shrugged at me. Customer service at its finest. PRICES: Average for the area, apart from the occasional overcharging. FOOD: First of all, no effing chips! Not even store-bought chips, which will sometimes do in a pinch. I couldn't even order chips & salsa on the menu for extra cost. What self-respecting taqueria doesn't serve chips and salsa nowadays? As for meals, Here's what I've tried at Tres Hermanos: -- Three taco special: A huge plate and a reasonable deal at $6.95. Includes 3 tacos, rice and beans. The carnitas taco was boring, with almost no flavor and zero crispiness in the meat. The pollo asado tasted like plain, boiled chicken with little flavor. The carne asada had OK flavor but was too tough. Beans and rice were fine; nothing special. -- Wet burrito "regular" (green): A decent, large burrito that hit the spot, despite the fact that the sauce was tomatillo-based rather than green chile. Nice salsa base inside, though I wish they had asked me my bean preference, like most places. Total cost was pricey - almost 8 bucks Tres Hermanos probably rates 2.5 points, but since it is currently rated 4 points on Yelp, and since there are so many better choices nearby, I'll do my small part to knock it down a peg. For better taquerias in the area, check my list at: yelp.com/list/the-taquer…

We came in here asking for directions because we were lost in Mountain View trying to get back home without a GPS system. Despite the many other eateries there are in the town of Mountain View, we decided to come here. Why? It's a taqueria. There are no standards when it comes to walking attire. Honestly, walk around most of downtown Mountain View, and you'll immediately feel like everybody is better than you with their luxury cars double parked in front of what looks to be classy sit-in restaurants. On top of that, we were unemployed, and taquerias usually add some oomf to your buck. On the quest to find the best burrito, this place definitely didn't have it, but they definitely have awesome customer service. The cashier was awfully friendly and he explained in detail what the burritos had, though it was hard to understand him. My friend really enjoyed the horchata, but I don't care for them so much. There were three people working there, each one very friendly. I'll give this place a star for each hermano. Taqueria Tres Hermanos.. I get it!

I love their chilaquiles! Their vegetarian burrito is just so-so but man the chilaquiles is all I'm ever going to get here for now on. They kind of look at me funny when my Boyfriend speaks in Spanish and I just speak in English and they're super stingy with their salsa but as long as I get my chilaquiles I'm good.

  • Mike C.

I am on an eternal quest to find tacos that taste like what you can get at the small taco stands in Mexico. The quest continues, but I have to say that Tres served up corn tortillas that were the freshest I have had north of the border. My buddies got the super tacos and loved them, so whether you are a purist or just a lover of taquerias, I would suggest checking this place out.

Sigh, I feel so awful but the side descriptions "eek!" just seems to fit the bill...ok fine, 1.5 rounded up to 2... First off, it's basically cash only here. If you must use a card, you have to 1) spend at least $5 and 2) pay a service chare of $.50 I hate this tricks -___- yes, I understand the economics behind making up for Visa and/or Mastercard charging a collection fee but seriously?! 21st century man. Of course, all of this could be forgiven if only the food were amazing. Alas, it wasn't. I ordered the superquesadilla with carne asada, which was a decent size but pretty poor quality. Though flavorful, the meat was pretty tough. The quesadilla seems store bought; the sour cream was too heavily glopped on; the guac was watery; and the tomatoes didn't seem fresh. Oh, but the lettuce was nice and crisp.......-__-

I'm not saying this place is bad but I come here just for their Tacos so 3 out of 5 stars.

  • Marlon O.

Huge let down! I read some of the mixed reviews and came in open minded. This place is just ok. I wouldn't put them in the gutter just yet. Seems like they try to make up for the "not as good as expected" by serving huge portions. F that! I'd rather have quality over quantity any day. My test run is always a Carnitas Super Burrito. Meat was just ok, kinda like it was rushed. This thing was straight up a gob of meat, a shit load of rice, some salsa, refried beans, and sour cream wrapped in a tortilla. Here's what saved it... The green sauce I asked for was pretty freaking good! Here's a tip for eat in burrito goers. Order that bitch "for go". Without it being foil wrapped, it's like trying to pickup a 2 lbs. Salamander! They do have chips BTW.

My coworker and I came here for a quick bite. She usually comes here with a fellow coworker but this was my first time. First of all- super hard to find parking in this plaza. The food was fast and came out pretty quick. Portions are regular sized but the prices are a bit expensive for this dive. I ordered the enchiladas which I completely demolished. The rice was a bit dry though. If you're not a fan of the sour cream, make sure you tell them!

Here's the deal with T3H: No frills down home cheap Mexican eatin. Is it gourmet? No. Is it good? Yes! Being that I have been eating there for EIGHTEEN YEARS (I grew up across the street) I believe that I am fit to properly rate this place. Folks that didn't enjoy their meal, thus giving T3H a poor rating, might have caught them on an off day. It happens. Portions are generous, food is flavorful, and EXCELLENT to remedy the toughest of hangovers! What more can you ask for? I recommend the flautas plate w/ a side of cheviche... Minus 1 star for not having more vegetarian options.

  • Michaela S.

I was looking for cheap mexican food that tasted pretty good and this was it!! I found the woman behind the counter very friendly. They do have chips and salsa, you just have to ask for it! Also there is a $5 min for credit/debit, however, the woman was very sweet and just charged the $5 and gave me the left over money back, which was much better than the other places that make you buy more stuff you don't actually want!

Working in Mountain View has forced me to explore the various cuisine this little town has to offer. Fortunately, a friend turned me on to this taqueria spot called Tres Hermanos. Mexican food is usually a hit or miss with me and lucky for these folks it hits the right spot. Can't say much for the service because there basically is no service. You walk up to the cash register and order your meal, they hand you a receipt and prep it up. The lady isn't very friendly, I think she's just a little antisocial but that doesn't phase me because I'm there for the yummy to ease the rumbly in my tumbly. The food. I've only tried the pollo and carne asada super burritos. It's laced with all the traditional taqueria fixings: spanish rice, refried beans, guac, sour cream, etc. Flavor is great, lots of texture and they definitely keep all the ingredients balanced. I think this small attention to detail is what makes these burritos outshine others. You get just the right amount of everything. To top it all off, the tortillas are hand made, gooey, chewey and super soft. They give you a small cup of red salsa which is excellent and moderately spicy. The salsa is what gives this place 4 stars over 3, it really adds complexity to the flavor of the burrito. The place isn't spectacular and the staff is socially awkward but the burritos are damn good. I'd recommend this spot to anyone in the Mountain View area looking for hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint.

Good solid food. No bells or whistles. Slightly better prices than places on the other side of the tracks. The five-flauta plate will leave you stuffed. You can have any kind of beans as long as you want refried.

I've been here before, but I can't remember if I liked what I ordered, and I don't remember if I yelped it. Anyways, I ordered a super burrito, carne asada, and an agua de horchata. $8 something was the total. Not bad. It took them a while to acknowledge that I was at the counter....I'm 6ft tall, not sure how no one noticed me, but the piasas at the table near the window sure did. Dudes, I wore my long coat for a reason, don't want you checkin out my ass....eesh. The burrito was okay, no heat to it at all. I like my food spicy! Oh well, I'm still searchin for that perfect burrito.

What can I say !I feel like my rating of 5 stars should speak for itself.lol but I will explain a little.this spot is one of our family traditional taqueras to go to when we feel like eating some tacos. I love this place and have been loving this place since I was little. There tacos has this wonderful taste when you have a bite. Whenever I go to this establishment I always order two tacos carne asada con chile verde.mmmm. feel like having some now but I will be good tonight.lol friendly service, great authentic mexican dishes, and you can also watch tv.

Yum. Good food and cheap. Parking lot is crowded and kind of a pain. Service is nice. Only problem is the fact that I'm pretty sure there is some sort of meat broth on the rice of the vegetarian burrito. I'm not positive, but it definitely tastes like meat. Wouldn't be the only Mexican restaurant with this going on, but still docks a star.

I was hungry last Friday and wanted a huge burrito. I remembered there was a Mexican place off of Moffett Blvd / Castro so I skidaddled out of my office to go pick it up. The menu had a lot of choices, I didn't want to be adventurous so I ordered the 'usual', a carne asada super burrito. I got it to go because I had a lot of work to do at my desk. The 5 minute drive back to my office seemed like forever as I hungrily eyed my burrito in a bag. It was so warm and filled my Accord with delicous smells. I ran to my desk, ripped open the bag and quickly unwrapped the foil. Then a thought crossed my mind 'i'm going to by typing, I should use a knife and fork'... My primal urges took over and I grabbed the burrito with both hands and tore through it with my teeth. RAWR. The salsa slowly dripped from my mouth as i chewed hungrily. It was so good and less than 6 bucks too. I couldn't eat the whole thing, so I saved a little less than half for the afternoon. I get hungry, what can I say. health experts say you should eat smaller, frequent meals so that was my plan. Yeah, that's it... Ok, I guess i'm a little different than most people. There are those that enjoy cold pizza. I'm one of them, but I also like eating cold burritos. I don't really know why, it could be that the burrito 'sets' and all the flavors are identifyable. Kinda like how spaghetti tastes better the next day. Or it could be that i'm lazy. I'm leaning toward the latter. Anyway, it tasted great, if not better, cold in the afternoon. You should try it.

i got ceviche to go about 2-3 times a week from this place. the caldo de pollo is amazing in cold weather or when you're needing a boost in your immune system. i just raved about this place on facebook and a friend wrote an article on ilovemv.org about it. thanks for all the yummy food :o) Read the article here: ilovemv.org/friday-night…

When I worked in the area I went here once / twice a week. Great regular tacos, tortas, and burritos. Their carne asada is very salty (so some may hate / love it). And they use a lot of rice and not much cheese, but that suits my semi-health conscious self. I highly recommend the chile verde and carne asada burritos and tacos. The hueovs rancheros are solid too. I still need to try their famous weekend only menudo beef soup.

This place is close to my work, so I come here when I crave Mexican for lunch and want to get some good authentic Mexican food. Their wet burritos are pretty good, they are pretty big and are pretty generous with the meat. Love their trio tacos, you can choose from chicken, beef or pork. Squeeze a bit of lime, hot sauce, top it off with a jalapenos...and DAMN!...that was good!!. Comes with refried beans and rice on the side so a pretty good lunch. They also have lots of other good looking things on the menu...like soup and rice dishes...seafood. But I am always distracted by the wet burritos and tacos...

Closer to 4.5 stars, but not quite 5. I come here when I want a quick lunch at a good price. I usually go for the chicken super burrito. If I don't mind waiting a bit, their breakfast burrito is excellent. I end up here on average once a week. It's good stuff. They have a couple of televisions that are usually tuned to daytime mexican game shows or soccer. Some of what comes on is pretty hilarious.

My usual litmus test for a good Mexican restaurant is their "al pastro" tacos. And this place has pretty good "al pastro" tacos. The only comparable place in the area is "Los Altos Taqueria" on rengstorff. By the way. very very very few places have Sopes, and this place does, so props to them. ATTENTION ALL WHITE PEOPLE: try sopes, they are good, healthy and traditional mexican food.

This is my neighborhood Mexican joint of choice. I love the wet burrito with red sauce. The tortas, quesadillas and tacos are all solid. The nachos aren't great, but there are plenty of other tasty dishes.

Like Taqueria Marlen, MY DAD (of all people) introduced me to this lil' hot spot. He used to know the owners or something back in the day when one of them ran or knew someone that had a taco truck. Either way...I only come for the tacos and taquitos. I have and can eaten 3 carne asada, 1 carnitas, 1 al pastor. So good. Here's how NOT to ruin a taco: Warm tortillas, add well seasoned meat, add onion/cilatro, offer salsa and lime on the side. You want to know how you ruin a taco: add sour cream, guacamole, fry the tortilla, add lettuce/tomato, etc-YUCK. Either way, this place serves it basic style, and I love how they have the pictures on the wall, so you know what you are ordering in case you want to be adventurous. They are located in a strip mall, and they do have tamarindo and horchata! Woop Woop! I am taking off a point because you have to pay extra to use the credit card, or meet the minimum requirement. I don't mind, since I don't pay a waiter to bring my food. Either way...classic joint...and it also does have a TV.

Randomly came here after stopping by Fast Pizza Delivery and realizing we couldn't order pizza by the slices. Definately not bad. The veggie burrito I got was veryyyy uhh wet. As in full of guacamole and sour cream (ick!) and salsa and just wet sauces. Typical enormous burrito size. No black beans but I would come here again if I was really hungry and needed to eat that minute. Otherwise, I'd rather make the 2 minute drive down to Castro St. They do have horchata though! Then again, I got the bottom dregs of the tank and whooaaa there it was almost syrupy. Good flavor, but way too sweet for me. I asked for water afterwards though but they refilled my horchata for me (so can be good or bad..) Best part was the hilarious Mexican TV drama they had playing. EVERY woman cried for at least 80% of her screen time... Basically a good fast Mexican foodie joint but nothing to rave and moan over... ;D

Carne Asada super burrito was decent. Price was decent. Chips came with it, thats a plus with me. Quite simple interaction really, I walked up to the counter. Barked out my order. He rung it up. I paid. Burrito came up. Im gone. Who the hell needs hellos, goodbyes, and thank yous???

A small taqueria offering some pretty authentic items on the menu. This is a cafeteria style restaurant where you order, pay and then pick up your order when it's ready. The shrimp cocktail was really good as were the tacos. They also serve menudo on the weekends and have lunch specials during the week.

First of all, I have a hard time respecting any Mexican joint that doesn't have great salsa or a salsa bar. Definitely lose points on that. However the food was quick and the Super burrito (w/ chicken) wasn't bad. If I had more than one container of lame salsa (which I had to ask for), I might have rated much higher. Would have preferred grilled chkn to shredded, and less cheese and sour cream. So still on the prowl for a really mind blowing burrito...Although, you can't beat conenience while I'm here at the Oakwood!

my neighborhood destination when it comes to Carne Asada Taco's & Ice cold bottled cokes. - they have large Flat Screen TV's usually playing soccer or Latino Soaps. Its a very clean establishment & all the staff have been there for years. Highly recommend the Super Pollo Quesadilla, it is medium in size. stuffed with Monterrey jack piping hot pulled chicken, with moderate usage of sour cream, guacamole & fresh diced tomatoes.. I usually get a super quesadilla & 2 carna asada tacos.. its like $7.oo or 4 c.a. tacos is like $6.oo my record is 6 next goal is 8

We love Tres Hermanos! The tacos are great for their simplicity: very authentic corn tortillas are amazing and theMy favorite is the carne asada tacos. The carnitas are good too. The Super Burritos is awesome too.

I have slowly but surely been tapping into the little taquerias around my area, and 3 Hermanos has not escaped my sights! Early today I was looking for some nearby eats, and remembered I hadn't yet made visit to this establishment. My takeout order consisted of a quesadilla, a vegetarian burrito, and an horchata. About average horchata, but a beautifully made quesadilla with the flavors of the griddle/grill nicely imparted, served with a little fresh salad. Unlike Esther T.'s experience, I found my burrito to be fresh, bursting with many flavors, and not overly wet--quite delicious. I would like to try the shrimp burrito at some point, albeit looks to be pricey, $8 for that item! And the best thing is this place is nearly practically around the corner from me.

I have been going to this place for years - at leaset since 2003, if not a year or so before that. I don't know about y'all, but I like certain things from certain places, and here, I absolutely LOVE their carne asada tacos. In my book, they are simply THE best! The food is always hot, full of flavor, and keeps me full. I even get to wash 'em down with a bottle of coke! I found this place because I used to work right down the street from here. When I changed jobs and worked further away, I rounded up co-workers to go with me and they all loved it too! Even when I lived in South San Jose, I would bring my famiy and friends up to Mountain View just to go to this place to eat. It's really good, the place is clean, and the staff is friendly too. Definitely my #1 taco joint. ;-)

First, most everything here is heavy in grease and lard; so expect that going in. It took me 3 minutes to order what I wanted, since the woman at the cash register (she'll get to you right after she's finished sending this important text) didn't know much about the food being served (the combinations are on pictures on the wall, but don't bother asking about what's in them). And don't expect a clean table, or anyone to come clean it after you sit down and ask them (3 times). And don't ask for salsa with your meal (who needs salsa with Mexican food anyway, right?) The only positive I can say is the tacos (al pastor and carnitas) were very good. So, if you're in a mood for quick, tasty tacos, go here. But don't venture in for anything else.

This is my place to go when i'm craving a horchata and a bean and cheese burrito wet style. I dunno, for some reason..it's soo tasty here!! They've got great nacho's too...huge serving with a gangload of stuff on it. ohh and their hot sauce...MMmMmMMm The location is kinda grungy. This is the type of hang out where you've got construction workers, landscapers, ex-con's, homeless people, etc. hanging out. Parking lot is very tight and there's always delivery vans blocking in and out access. I think next door, they also hold regular AA meetings so there's always people standing outside just hanging around. Make sure you go in groups to this eatery. I would never go to this location by myself.

Carne asada tacos. Only place to get them around here.. green sauce, amazing!!! It's cheap, it's next to a laundromat, it's not going to be a black tie affair. They've been around forever, and you want good cheap food, go here. Try the tacos. If you want crispy tacos, don't go here. These are real tacos. Soft shells, two. Small. Meat. Cilantro. Salsa. Onions. A tip from a local who's been going here for years - do not go during rush hours. Go on a Tuesday night. Or a Thursday night. A night that is slower. The meat will be done perfectly. If the place is crowded, walk away, come back later. Same as any restaurant.

5 stars for their TACOS and SOPES! I *ONLY* come here for the tacos & sopes, and an occasional quesadilla which is decent. (Burritos, go to El Burrito Real!) The tacos/sopes here are the best I have had thus far around the bay area, and I have eaten at a lot of taquerias. Chicken and steak tacos are full of flavor. The chicken is extremely tender and marinated throughout. The service is not so great. There is this one guy that I always order from who still isn't quite friendly even after eating here the past couple years. And he *still* always looks annoyed when I ask for extra salsa. hahahah! Oh well, not a biggie, I just want some tasty tacos/sopes. Cheap too! I always see people ordering their soups; they must be good here. Next time I will try it. Btw, they are located next to some kind of Christian/help group where some seedy ppl are outside smoking.

Like the two star says I have experienced better. Good only to grab a quick bite to eat at an affordable price. Always got the super burrito. Not the cleanest place ever. The staff is really nice though. Once again to sum it up. It is just a good place to go and get a cheap thing to eat lunch or dinner.

Love, love, love their carne asada tacos, super quesadillas, and carnitas anything. Their carne asada is marinated and very, very tasty. Their refried beans are the best. This is the place to go if you like your Mexican food with a lot of great flavor at very reasonable prices. I think people who don't care for 3 Hermanos are people who like their Mexican food bland. If you are a burrito fan, this place is good but probably Tacqueria La Bamba (2 locations in Mountain View) is better. But for tacos, I haven't yet found a better place.

When I'm in the area and want tacos, this is the place I come to. The carne asada tacos are the shizzz. When I used to work in the area, this was definitely one of my weekly spots to eat. The carne asada super burrito is good also. Oh yeah they serve menudo on the weekends which is always good for that Sunday morning hangover.

I only get two dishes at this place, so my rating is reflective of that. I either get the carne asada burrito or tacos. The spices they use of the beef are very tasty and the beef is not that fatty. The place is always clean, the staff is friendly, and the service is prompt. It does get busy on the weekend afternoons and the wait can be a little lengthy, but it is definitely worth the wait. The prices are great for the quality of the food and service. I am a regular at this place and would recommend this to anyone!

A basic solid taqueria. Not great, but not bad.

I had a boyfriend who loved this place and brought it home pretty often, so I've had 3 Hermanos tacos/burritos but I've never actually been there myself. The food, though, speaks for itself--really, really tasty, very zangy and those spices... well, there's much more of a kick with the tacos I've had here than at other taquerias. But, I've had a lot of grease just drip out from the food here which is a little queasy to look at but if you suck it up and just gobble it, it's mmmmmmmmm...

I love this place. The burritos are huge and for less than $6 and less than $5 if you are vegetarian. The service is excellent as well. The people who take your order always have a smile on their faces!

I love pozole on the weekends! This place is great - very authentic Mexican food at a fair price...well, except for the huevos rancheros. The staff is friendly and the horchata is perfect. Try the tortas and the tacos lengua.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
