I just got back from a trip to NYC and Boston. We had canolis from a place called Mike's in Boston and pizza at a fabulous NY pizzeria. I was craving the food so I went to this place and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious. I had the pasta with marinara sauce and bread roll and took an order of canolis to go! Everything was served fresh. This place is an order at the register kind of place. The girl at the register was very helpful and friendly. You can order items by the slice or a full order. They also have pre packaged salads. I brought the canolis home and they were a score! We had been missing those east coast canolis!! My only suggestion is to turn up the air condition because those pizza ovens keep the small dining area very warm. I went there on a hot day so I had to decide between hot and hotter.

Staff were friendly Ordered the family meal that comes with a large cheese pizza, garlic knots and a 2 liter of soda. I lived in New York for 4 years so I understand the need for some good New York style pizza! The pizza here was pretty decent! Not the best NYC style I've had, but still good! You can order pizza made to order, or slices from the pre-made section. It was nice to see the familiar glass counter with various types of slices to choose from like they have in New York. I see that they also had some nice looking packaged salads too! I love when pizza spots have salad.

After a short hiatus from eating here, I decided to see if things had improved. They have! Soft, cheesy, pizza! Excellent garlic knots and great salads! I'm glad to have this place back.

Stopped by for dinner, friendly staff and amazing pizza and garlic knots. Will definitely be coming back for more.

We ordered pizza for delivery a couple of weeks ago, and when they got to our house they had gotten our order wrong, we were missing a pizza. Instead of sending just the missing pizza, they resent the whole order and threw in a bunch of cannolis on the house! I'm extremely impressed with the customer service and how management compensated us for their mistake. Everyone makes a mistake here and there, it's how a business handles it that will determine whether or not you do business again with them. In this case I will definitely be back! P.S. The cannolis were Delish, and so was the pizza!

Haven't had a bad experience here. Great food friendly staff. Get the cannoli they are bomb and so are the garlic knots!

  • Krystin R.

Everyone is always friendly and the pizza is very good. Kind of pricey. But it's a good slice of pizza.

I've tried this place numerous times trying to find something totally awesome about them. In a nutshell, they're pretty mediocre. Their pasta is terrible for the most part, HOWEVER their ravioli is pretty damn good. Their garlic bread is probably where they excel. Their cannoli are also good and so is the tiramisu, though that's four bucks for three spoonfuls. Not really worth it. They're pretty pricey for the quality of food, but they're also the only place in Menifee I've found that delivers pasta (and as I mentioned, their ravioli is pretty good.) Also my fiance once ordered 11 cannoli as a joke and surprised me with it. I was a bit surprised they let him do it, but it was late in the afternoon/evening so I'm guessing they weren't expecting too many cannoli orders after that.

I hope the management reads this! I'd come here by myself or with friends maybe 3 times a month when i first moved here. The food was excellent, service was excellent and dining room was clean and orderly. Things have changed.... The only good thing is that the dinning area is kept clean. Because of the pre-made (heat & serve) set up, you must change out food more regularly to meet your guest needs. Fresh pizza is what I want to spend my money on. You ceasar salad is delicious as well as he garlic knots and the sauce that comes with it. I want too see this place succeed. I love the atmosphere and unique pizza combinations.

  • Jessica G.

Food was good. Was a little expensive for lunch it was over 30 bucks. Nice atmosphere friendly staff. Music was great but a little too loud for me i kinda wanted to relax.

    (3)
  • Nicole M.

Food was alright, service was just fine, so I thought. This place gave me food poisoning and had me wanting to run people over trying to get home to the comforts of my bathroom. Im pretty sure I don't need to elaborate. I will never go here again. I still feel disgustingly sick and like I took a laxative.

  • Jacob Tiny C.

They have great pizza, only thing I've ordered but there great, service good, and there pick up service is very good. My only problem is I've had 3 pizzas burned for pickup, so I had to call and the drive all the way back to pick up a new one. Annoying, but I did get my money back each time.

    (3)
  • David P.

Best pizza around! We drive from Corona for their Greek and Mediterranean pizzas, and the little guy loves the "white" cheese pizza. Garlic knots are fantastic and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Clean with a comfortable atmosphere.

  • Andrew A.

Since my last check in here I complained I think a new review in in order. Very friendly service, the calzone they made us one on the best I have ever had here or for that matter anywhere. I ordered a head of time so no update on letting the outside diners know the food is up. 10/5/14 *** I guess I will have to cast my final vote about this joint. As one of the other reviewers said. INCONSISTENT: service, quality, etc.

    (4)
  • Juliana J.

To be completely honest there's nothing special about this pizza shop. Good yet standard pizza at a kind of "high" price.

    (2)
  • Arrianna S.

I don't believe in disparaging a place, and the owner here is kind, but based on experience from a previous employee... I'm rating this establishment two stars based on customer service experiences and taste. Many items are ordered frozen. They raised their prices to "maintain their quality" but this isn't accurate. Though I won't eat it any longer, the pizza tastes pretty darn good -- but grease is often the main ingredient. My son squeezed a slice of their pepperoni into a cup, and filled it with TWO INCHES of grease and oil. Most importantly, customers should be advised that this is not the cleanest restaurant. Despite the "A" in the window, the former employee I am acquainted with has photo evidence of a half dozen cockroaches, both living and deceased, crawling around the floor.

    (2)
  • Bekah B.

So I don't know how much of a "special" it is at almost $7 two slices but...okay. I do like the pizza. So the server, Riley, took my order she was very friendly overall I think it's an okay place. One friendly suggestion would be to clean the straw dispenser or get a new one because it's very sticky. That's about it.

  • Emanuela J.

I just walked in and unfortunately did not get any food I called ahead of time & was left on hold for 10 mins. Also when I came in no one helped me it was outrageous, when I was finally was greeted she said we will be with you in a minute, they we're talking and very inattentive. I usually love this place, but this crew tonight was bad.

    (2)
  • K A.

I went here for the first time and was completely blown away at how good it was. Fast service and friendly staff. Super Yummy!!!

    (5)
  • Nicole K.

Their Salads absolutly suck!! Their dressing sucks!!! Its sooo nasty!! The meat in the antipasta salad had the nastiest taste... and sadly sometimes their pizza is great! Other times its awful! And then they burn it and serve it to you!! Im surprised they are doing so well there but i guess it all depends on how long the pizzas been sitting there and if they burn it or not! But i will NEVER get a salad again! Yuk!!

    (2)
  • Sandy S.

We love their calzones- fresh home made ingredients (love their meat balls and cheeses), antipasto salad (homemade Italian dressing ), garlic knots and pizzas! Friendly staff! The only reason it's not a 5 star is the price increase and the portion size decrease at the same time. It hasn't stopped us from going there, but we definitely noticed the change.

    (4)
  • Flo S.

Eh, it was ok nothing special. I got the pepperoni pizza slice and it was very very greasy and had almost no sauce , and it did take longer than it should have to get the food . The stars are mostly for the garlic knots they were very good. I may try this place again but if I never do I won't lose sleep, very middle of the road.

    (2)
  • Daniel M.

The best pizza in Menifee by far! Home made meat balls and the marinara has basil and is good. Must try a pinwheel and cool it well done. Can't wait to try one of everything on the menu. But the team work sucks and it messes with the wait times. Younger girls working the counter are working hard and handling most of the work while the older staff is in the little pizza corner just looking at them and making comments like they want them to fail. They older staff isn't helping and now my wait time is over 25 minutes for a sandwich and 2 slices of pizza.

    (2)
  • Robert C.

We love coming here. Best pizza joint in this area.. love getting there pepperoni pin wheels.

    (5)
  • Mark P.

As a native NJ boy, this place makes me feel like I'm back home. As close to east coast style pizza you can find. Even the calzone and pin wheels were delicious.

    (5)
  • Sean D.

Incredible pizza, though a bit pricey. But, it's totally worth it, IMO.

    (5)
  • Mike C.

Stromboli is outstanding. Service was great professional and quick. Big portions are a plusm

    (5)
  • Odie O.

Not a crispy thin crust like a NY slice should be but tasty. Staff are friendly and courteous and comfortable place to grab a couple slices if you are really hungry.

    (3)
  • Michael B.

Huge portion of pizza like new york, but without the quality of a new york pizza. disappointed with the price and the service.

    (2)
  • Vinny M.

I moved to California from New York and I've been looking for a good pizza place that has all the options of one from home and this is, without question, as close as you'll get here on the west coast. The pizza is amazing, the calzones are made just like back east, and the cannolis are great. Not to mention the excellent service. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic NY pizza parlor food.

    (5)
  • Mari H.

This was horrible--I couldn't cut my slice of pizza with a knife so I picked it up to bite it....it was so burnt it was black.Left a horrible taste in my mouth. I got my money back and left, I'll never go back.

    (1)
  • Joseph B.

I absolutely love their pizza! Easily one of the better places to grab a bite in Menifee. I usually get the lunch special and upgrade the pizza. Under eight dollars for two big slices and a drink. If you're in the area give it a try!

    (4)
  • Lou A.

Woaw! The pesto pizza with chicken, tomato, eggplant, pine nuts is mouthwatering even when eating it. And those bread knots are addictive.

    (5)
  • Lauren A.

The pizza is overpriced and not that great. My sister got food poisoning from eating a "by the slice pizza." They leave the pizzas out on the counter for god knows how long. I will never eat at this restaurant again. The "by the slice pizza" can be done correctly.. The way they do it is not.. It's not fresh it sits there for hours, all day even. Gross!!

    (1)
  • Jerrimy K.

We discovered this place looking for cannoli's which I had never had before. Although I lack anything to compare I thought they were really good. We have had both the NY and Chicago deep dish , both very good. Garlic knots are incredible! It is pricey and a little bit of a drive from where I live so I don't go too often. Definitely worth a try!

    (4)
  • Jacob G.

This place is doing it right. Fresh ingredients . Cookin their sausage. Good sauce. Great crust. The real deal Holyfield. I've been all over this country working as a chef and they do it pretty good. Lasagna left me wanting more and the cannolis are not homemade either but they are doing pizza right. Well worth the price and the wait.

    (4)
  • Rodolfo G.

Was comparable to mall food court pizza. Pizza crust was soggy and doughy it had no integrity. A true NY style pizza crust should have a nice char on the bottom and crispy enough to fold in half. Just moved to the neighborhood and need a new pizza joint to call home.. Any fellow yelpers have any solid recommendations?

  • Cindy W.

I'm a sucker for any restaurant or eatery that has an east coast name, especially if it's a city from the Northeast. So when I saw that this is NY's, I had to try it. Unfortunately, it wasn't 100% like NY's but the ambiance with NY's stuff was a nice try. I ordered a slice of Hawaiian and a slice of pepperoni, it wasn't bad but I've had better, especially better pizzas from Manhattan! My husband had the white cheese and that wasn't bad either. I wasn't crazy about how they didn't have hot pizzas, ours was lukewarm, I don't think they threw it in the oven long enough. I was gonna try their desserts but seeing how it's sitting behind the glass like that, makes me wonder how old it is so I passed.

    (3)
  • Julie D.

This is a cute little pizza place in a strip mall. They have limited seating available but their food is totally worth it! I love their white pizza. I always get two pieces of white pizza and a fountain drink. Yum! My husband tries something different every time we are there, and he hasn't been disappointed yet.

  • Marissa D.

Never have I ever been to a pizza place like this before. One of the best pizzerias I've ever been to. The garlic knots are glazed and cooked to PERFECTION, and the pizza is exceptional. Perfect blend of herbs and spices, cheeses, and sauce. Great service as well, with upbeat and smiling staff.

  • Jonathon M.

Pizza is over priced and disgusting.... Thanx for ripping me and giving me dumpster on a pie.... You wouldn't even get a star from me if i could write a review without one.... I ordered the sausage pizza, works pizza, both larges and an order of the wings.... The wings were covered in slime and had ABSOLUTELY no flavor... I payed a total of $65.00 how is that even possible... Goes to show don't ever trust a pizza joint in cali... Chances are they're over priced and horrible

Best pizza in Menifee hands down. I always go here during my lunch breaks. The lasagna is amazing!

    (5)
  • Reny P.

Are here several times. Had the White pizza and a Caesar salad. Food is good will defiantly be back. The kids like the garlic knots

    (4)
  • Ashley L.

Good flavor of pizza and great cheese but oh so greasy and that is a deal breaker for me. Also, the bottom of the crust is so hard, it takes a professional lumberjack saw-man to get through it. The service was good and the facility is clean. The prices were good and they had a good selection for lunch specials. Overall would I recommend this? Eh there are better out there.

    (2)
  • Liz O.

Pasta Salad ... small but SO unbelievably delicious. Bowtie pasta with tomatoes, vinaigrette, and added mozzarella cheese; it's the reason I'm giving this place 4 stars. If they didn't have this, I'd rate the place as 2 stars. The pizza had been sitting out for what looked like too long and - edible but not memorable! They put it in the oven for a few minutes to heat it up. Garlic knots, as others say, are pretty good. The sauce was just a tad too bitter for me though. Oh and the young lady helping us was on top of it! Great listener and stayed cheerful with my "picky" friend. :)

You're talking Menfee. Yup, what's in Menifee besides the usual chain-suspects. You've got a Panda Express, Chipotle, Wanna Be BBQ (BBQ-Trio), Red Robin, In/Out Burger, etc within an arms reach. This place is THE PLACE to enjoy a nice pie. Calzone is a MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST try. I would recommend ordering a fresh pie because that's all we've ever had. The previously cooked by-the-slice seem quesitonable the times we've been there (mostly evenings). Service is great. Just top notch team with energy and seem happy to be there. Now onto the strange Asian male who I believe is the owner. He should consider smiling or mingling with the locals. Still a great place because it's about the pie, calzone and service. Will always be back.

  • Rayhaana A.

I came here today and had one of the lunch specials- 2 slices of pizza and medium drink. 1 cheese 1 cheese with white sauce ... it was really good. I was starving. Service was quick.

  • Citizen X.

Ordered a couple of pizzas, spaghetti and the antipasto with some desserts at around 5pm on a Friday. They delivered quickly, food was hot and really good. They are generous with the toppings on the pizzas and the salad - tastes great. We will definitely call them again.

We both got a slice of my all-time favorite, the Greek. With the olive oil, garlic, mozzarella and feta cheese, red onions, roma tomatoes, parmesan cheese, oregano and artichoke hearts, ..it's like a freakin' parade in my mouth. We also couldn't come here without gettin' the cannoli's too. Filled with ricotta cream (but it tastes like delicious icing) & decadent chocolate chips swirling about in this unreal fried pastry--it's like a piece of heaven on my tongue. But somehow the food is more enjoyable when the service is on point & the details are attended to. Unfortunately the service has gone down, there is never anyone in the place when I go during lunch & dinner time, and ya nearly knock yourself in the face trying to get soap out of the restroom's dispenser--as it isn't mounted to the wall properly. I only knocked em' down one star cuz I wanna have faith that they'll tighten up the loose ends. Come on' NY's Upper Crust--prove me right! :)

Ok, I'm amiss writing this updated review because we so appreciate the manager Mary and the staff, but after 3 miserable delivery attempts, our 2 family's wouldn't order from them again. HOWEVER, after a VERY busy day, my sister and I decided to call Mary the manager, have a 10 minute conversation about how we would give NYUC ONE MORE CHANCE. She was very eager to make it right and took our order for a whole square pizza on them. Very nice and what a business should do for long time patrons of their restaurant. An hour later, our pizza arrived. We tipped the driver and brought our pizza up to finish the business of the day. When I opened the box lid, I was HORRIFIED at what we saw. The pizza was COMPLETELY BURNT!! Not well done, BURNT!! My 2 year-old grand niece had been waiting to eat some pizza but it was so burnt and rock hard, I had to stop her from biting into it! My sister actually chipped her tooth on the corner of the first bite! ARE YOU SERIOUS???!! On this, the FOURTH attempt, the Holy of Holies should have been delivered but slipped under the radar AGAIN. we won't be spending our hard earned money here again, EVER. Again, staff is great, but they just can't cook. Mary makes a mean Italian sandwich while DINING IN ONLY, but do NOT ORDER DELIVERY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. When you dine in, you have a fighting chance to tell them the food isn't up to standards and get something new. But delivery, you're a sitting duck. I've posted some pictures of our last pizza if you're interested.

I must say I am not a huge pizza person and when I do have pizza, I am picky. I do not think Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesars or those other sorry excuse for pizza chains are even close to good. I would have to rate this place as average. Not bad, not great. Yes, I would come back because it is good enough to where I would but there are a few other better pizza places if I were in the mood and didn't want to go too far. 2 of my 3 kids like the pizza here, kind of surprised my son didn't like it... The service is great and it's a small place so it won't take too many people before it got crowded. You can eat outside in their dining area in front.

  • Mona C.

Super yummy! I can't believe they made one so randomly in Menifee. This pizza is Very good. If you want real bbq chicken pizza, this is the place to go. The ingredients taste so incredibly fresh. But if you want to try the most popular, try the white pizza. Very friendly staff here!

  • Kaylin O.

The pizza here is good. I love pizza. I ordered a few items here the other day. Since I had already eaten, I tried only their pineapple/ham pizza thick crust and the garlic rolls. Both were good. Flavor, toppings, and crust are good. I will definitely stop by again the next time I am around. They have pasta, wine, and salad also.

Growing up in New Jersey but living in California for many years now, it's been difficult to find as close to authentic Jersey pizza and cannoli's as back home. Thank goodness they decided to open up NY's Upper Crust Pizza in Menifee, CA! It's as close to Jersey/NY pizza and cannoli's that I have had in many years here. You won't be disappointed if you have ever had back east pizza and love the cheese there! It is a little more expensive, but the ingredients are better and so is the flavor, so I don't mind paying more. I'm not looking for that $5 pizza deal. If you are a native Californian, you might not like it cause you are used to that thick, cardboard cheese and thick dough that has no flavor. My CA friends say they prefer Dominos or Pizza Hut and I just laugh! Thinner crust and amazing cheese gets my 5-star vote and fresh cannoli's made every day!

*Keeping this review short and simple* In search for a pizza joint in Menifee, we found NY's Upper Crust Pizza in a newly developed shopping center. As soon as you walk in here, the food presented and the smell of freshly melted cheese totally tantalizes your senses. We ordered their 4-cheese pizza by the slice and it was mucho delicioso and the slice was pretty huge. You can dine in there or grab a table outside. I'd like to try their other menu items whenever I'm craving something Italian in Menifee. This hidden jewel is nestled between the Breakfast Club and Starbucks. I wouldn't call it an authentic NY style pizza, but it's pretty good. A little pricey for a pizza slice, but I think it was pretty tasty especially since it was freshly made.

  • Laura W.

I'm so disappointed! The staff was rude. The delivery took over 2 hours. I tried them again and same thing.

  • Hugo G.

Terrific food, cold beer and reasonable prices. Their customer service is friendly and we have become regulars at their restaurant. Their only flaw is that they sometimes run our of items because everything is prepared fresh. Overall, I have only had good experiences with this restaurant and I recommend them to all my friends and family.

My husband and sons just walked in tonight and the girl behind the counter that greeted them was picking her nose!!! She had tongs in the other hand to serve pizza. Needless to say my guys turned around and walked out, so I can not review the pizza.

You must try the garlic knots! When they first opened several months ago the knots were a bit too oily and undercooked. They've since figured it out! You couldn't find a better knot in NYC if you tried. Trust me, I know!! Being transplanted from NYC a couple of years ago I realized that finding acceptable pizza in CA is difficult, finding it in the IE was downright impossible until these guys opened up. They do a pretty authentic job. The marinara sauce is perfect, pastas are great and the pizza beats the hell out of the Chain joints. I only wish they'd start making a 'Grandma slice'. For the uninitiated, it's a roughly 4x4" square thin-crust slice with oil, fresh mozzarella and a dollop of marinara sauce on top with a crowning of fresh basil. Amazing, absolutely amazing. (Should you ever make it to NYC, head to Midtown and try Bella Napoli on Madison and 30th. YUM!!...)

HONEST REVIEW - This place gets 5 stars because of the selection of foods and taste! DON'T listen to those reviewers that have only been here once, c'mon! I have been here several times and every time this place does not disappoint! This is classic pizza, NOT GENERIC Papa Johns, Pizza hut, or Domino's... I've been to New York and had pizza there, so this is exactly the type of pizza you'd find there.

    (5)
  • Daniel D.

I came here once and the food was ok. I wouldn't prefer this place over papa johns or pizza hut. Sad because I really like that atmosphere.

  • Jackie F.

Pro: Quick cook time, good enough pizza and sandwich, lots of options. Con: Pricy for the quality. Came here with a buddy for a quick bite. The place a bit crowded, but the food still came pretty quick. I ordered a italian sausage sandwich, it was not hot, but warm and wet... served in little pieces (did they dunk it in hot water to warm it up?) I will come back to this place again, but I hope the food is worth the money this time.

Great pizza. Must try the garlic knots, they are amazing. Extremely polite staff. Went in once and the gentleman that had made the pizza decided that it didn't have enough pepperoni on it, so he added lots more and put it back in the oven. When i told him that that wasn't necessary he said "just want to make sure you get what you paid for". Who does that nowadays!? On another occasion I ordered for delivery and they forgot my order of garlic knots. When i called to let them know, they asked if I wanted them to drive back out or give me a credit. I chose to have them come back since we had a herd of hungry Sunday NFL fans and when the order arrived they doubled the amount of knots and loaded them up with garlic. It was very much appreciated!

My wife went in @ 8PM, 6 employees working and the owner was sitting and picking his ass,now the place was empty at the time and let her stand there for 5 mins., waiting for service, then some girl with a Orange Co, attitude asked her " WHAT" ,my wife stood there wondering if this was a NY themed pizza shop. The rude little bitch had the patience of a wall. POOR SERVICE, and the shame of it all, is that this food isn't anything like New York, SO DON'T INSULT US NEW YORKER'S WITH YOUR CRAP !!!! THE CLOSEST THING TO PIZZA AROUND HERE IS IN MURIETTA , CALLED BELLA'S. No attitude, just great pizza........

  • Jimmy C.

Cool atmosphere, very up-beat and pleasant staff, very NY-esque. However, the pizza is...well, sub-par, to say the least. We ordered "The White" and another standard sausage and pepperoni pizza, along with garlic knots..everything to-go, which totaled to over $55. Both pizzas were extremely oily and really not that tasty. The sausage had waaaay too many spices that completely dominated the entire pizza. I could only make it through 1/2 a slice of each, and I was done. The garlic knots were pretty good though. Would I eat here again? Only if every other local pizza place was somehow closed, and if I hadn't eaten for 3 days...I totally prefer Papa John's or even a made-at-home frozen pizza....or even those microwave pizza bites.

I had to give this place a try since the one in Irvine by my old place was pretty damn good. We ordered the large BBQ chicken pizza, the usual which came out to be around $24 bucks. The quality was not as good as the restaurant in Irvine, pizza was very thin and looked like they skimped me on the toppings.. They just recently opened so I'll give them a chance to improve over time. ***

  • Steve S.

The NY's Upper Crust Pizza opened recently and I wanted to give this place a try. I went in and asked the waitress what she would recommend from the gourmet pizza list and she recommended what I was originally planning on ordering, the greek pizza. Flavor wise, the pizza tasted good, however I feel that they skimped out on the toppings considering the price of the pizza. There wasn't very much cheese, hardly any artichokes and a very small amount of onions. The toppings/cheese would also become very scarce and would end a good two inches before the crust.

What appealed to me was the pizza sold by the slice. So when it opened I decided to give it a try. My first experience there wasn't a good one. I stood in line for more than five minutes while the two of the employees behind the counter where scrambling to get the orders. There where so many people behind the counter, but I still had to wait almost 15 min. to get one slice of cheese pizza. After that bad experience I gave it a week and went back in again. This time it looked like they had some system down, but it still wasn't perfect. I ordered a slice of cheese and Hawaiian pizza, a small garden salad, a cannoli and drink. When they called my name I thought my whole order was done, but all they gave me was my salad and cannoli. I still had to wait another 5-8 min for my pizza. They should have the order complete before calling the customer. I really enjoyed my garden salad. The ranch dressing was the best part. It had a good consistency, it wasn't too thick. The pizzas were ok. The crust was good, it was the perfect thickness, but the pizza sauce was a little bland. There should be more spices to it. Plus there wasn't enough toppings on my Hawaiian pizza. I prefer the Papa John's version over this. I did like the cannoli and will have to try their tiramisu next time. If you're going there for lunch, I would take advantage of their lunch specials which are from 10am-3pm Monday though Friday. I went there on a Sunday and ended up spending $12 just on myself. I looked at my receipt later and saw that the salad cost just as much as the slice of pizza. That was a ripoff. I'll probably go back, but it won't be one of my go to places for lunch.

Great "Pizza-by-the-slice". Wood-fired oven, NY-style pizza and ambiance, Good for watching Sports, Great Ceasar Salad as well. Occasional Live Music. Would Return.

Pizza rarely disappoints. Easy going place, with a cozy atmosphere. Lots of variety and there is always something for everyone. Plus: after dinner, you can head next door for fro yo or to baskin robbins.

I'm from the east coast and this is not authentic NY pizza. The crust is all wrong. I don't know why west coast establishments make it a point of billing themselves as "NY style" when they are not. The menu tries, and it's got the same selection as a NY pizzeria would but the pizza is not very good. I ordered a white pie slice and my husband and daughter ordered a meat lover's slice. All had to be reheated in the oven and theirs came with burnt toppings. They tried to make a Sicilian crust with the meat lover's but it was also too thin and had an odd texture - hubby said it was so hard it hurt his teeth. I also thought it was pricey for what we got ($22 for pizza and small drinks, we didn't even order a pie). Nope, won't be going back.

Love their pizza! This place has one of the most authentic east coast pizza in the area. The service is also very friendly. Too bad we live far away. Otherwise, we'd be here all the time!

Came here for the first time the other day for dinner. They have a great selection of gourmet pizzas. I had a difficult time choosing which one I wanted because they all sounded very appetizing. I wasn't too hungry so I ended up going with one slice of Greek pizza, and I was NOT disappointed. It was better than I expected it to be. I also had a cannoli, which was also tasty. Nothing bad about the food I had. As for everything else - clean environment, friendly employees, good service. I'll definitely be coming back here :)

Thin pizza all the way. Blows all other pizza's in Menifee out of the water. Garlic knots are delish and so is the Greek pies. The service is ok, the ladies specifically have always been really nice.

Hit this place on the way into work had a hard time deciding if I should go gourmet or plain. Got a regular medium to try and is by far the best pizza in the I.E. Most pizza's ready to go by the slice. They did have some thicker crust stuff but I personally love thin.

Good stuff, the pizza is fresh, and served by the slice. Lots of options. Try the garlic knots.

I like the fact pizza is sold by the slice and there's a good variety. Thin crust is our favorite so this place is perfect. (Plus the cost of a whole stuft pizza is crazy!) We had Hawaiian slices - very yummy. The calzone was big and very flavorful. We also shared an Italian sub-good flavor and good bread just too much oil. Can't wait to go back and try the white pizza slice.

A little pricey for pizza. Sausage was terrible, the rest was good. Crust was excellent.

My notes; bad service. Didn't have the pizza I wanted. Employees were loud. The food tasted unevenly cooked. At 1 in the afternoon, we were the only ones there! Over priced.

When my wife and I first tried Upper crust when they first opened,we thought, give them a chance, since it is a new place and they needed to get organized. Well a good deal of time has passed since that then and back we went to give it another shot. First off, if you are going to use the good name of New York on your pizza you had better be damn sure that it's going to be going to be good, especially if your establishment is in California. That said, during our returning to the store I ordered a stuffed spinach pizza and my wife a pizza with pepper and sausage. After waiting a very long time for it to be reheated my wife's pizza was still cold and my spinach pizza was terribly undercooked and chewy. One of the problems with this restaurant is the organization. They don't seem to have it together even at this date. There was confusion at the cash register and the reheating process took forever. Aside from all that their pizza is truly not worth the good name of New York attached to it.

Very good authentic New York Style pizza. Garlic knots are very tasty. High quality ingredients. As other reviewers mentioned, toppings are on the skimpy side.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
