Its like they looked at pinkberry and thought.. "what else can we do to make this place better" and they did it. self serve! shaved ice! condesed milk, chocolate sauce, caramel, mochi balls, cheesecake bites, chocolate chip cookie dough!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have free water and put fresh fruit in it. lastly, this place is cheap. whenever i think ive put too much in my cup it only adds up to about 3 bucks!! yogurtland, please open a store in echo park asap!

Better than YogurtWorld (SD), creamier than Yogurtland (OC), looks cleaner than Heaven's Delight (OC), slightly more inviting than Snowberry (LA), and you get a lot more out of this place than CeFiore (multiple locations). YAY for a new yogurt place, cuz we really needed that! I did like the creaminess of the yogurts and the clear cups that made things look cleaner. The topping choices were a lot better than some other self serve places. I usually get the sweet stuff because fruits in yogurt feel too breakfasty for me. This time I went all sweet again, I got the chocolate flavor, strawberry, vanilla (going for the neopolitan feel) and then i saw that they had a cheesecake flavor, so i added that on top. They also had cheesecake bits and graham crackers as toppings. To that I added chocolate and condensed milk. I know, that's like some serious sugar overload, but it was not overwhelming which surprised me. I got all that under $4. That's what made this place good for me. I don't like tart yogurt too much, so I didn't try it...sorry dudes, can't compare this place with Pinkberry (multiple locations), Iceberry (Ktown), Rosegreen (Glendale), or Dolce Mango (Glendale) too much without having tried the tart plain.

fricken love this place. I used to think pinkberry was good, but damnn this place blows it away. The variety, price... yea, 30 cents and ounce is good for me~ the amount that they give you at pinkberry's is what, like 5 bucks? and that same amount at yogurtland is only like 2 dollars, plus you get to choose how much of each topping you want if you really want your money's worth, go here, not pinkberry~

I've been to MANY YogurtLands.. since a couple of years ago (when most of you didn't even know what the heck it was!..haha)... and I must say, out of the toppings and options, Hollywood was always one of my faves. ... it's interesting because each location has minor changes in choice of toppings.. so rather than customer service and cleanliness (which they are all great about).. i tend to judge these mass yogurt chains by taste of flavors and choice of toppings/mix-ins.

1 star taken off because they don't have yogurt chips. Sometimes people like yogurt chips with their yogurt.

First of all, there's parking. You just kinda have to go behind the buildings and pray there'll be a spot. Or you can send a prayer to the towing gods and park at the hardware store east of YL, and make your visit quick. Second of all, I'm only giving 4 stars because this Yogurtland doesn't have some of the things the Yogurtland at the Beverly Connection has (nerds, hello! and rootbeer float flavored yogurt, double hello!). But it's still pretty damn amazing. I honestly don't get why anyone is still going to Pinkberry when for less than half the price you can have your choice of many different kinds of magic---or, hell, have some of all of them.

i didn't come here to get anything. i came with my boyfriend to meet up with some of his friends about 15 minutes to close and i completely understand that feeling (you know, when people walk into your work last minute) but MAN were the employees HUGE assholes. we weren't even going to get anything, everything basically looked clean and the girl behind the register kept telling me that MOST people left around 11 (they're open until 12) and pretty much made me feel so uncomfortable that i went to wait in the car. this review is purely for the staff and not about the yogurt.

Taro and pistachio yogurt that doesn't have a distinctly artificial aftertaste? YES PLEASE! This location is just sketchy enough to make the people-watching great, but comfortable enough to make you want to actually stay there and enjoy your tasty frozen treat. The toppings weren't anything special in my book, but the spoons! The biodegradable spoons with their matte yet silky texture make the dessert even better. No, seriously! Anyway, I probably won't be coming back to this location but the valley spot, if they have the taro and pistachio on the regular, will be seeing me quite often!

Three dollars and sixty-eight cents for a large serving of yogurt, blended with strawberry banana, mint chocolate chip, mango sorbet, & ghiradelli chocolate? I'm in hog heaven. Tiny, tiny place but who cares? You just stand outside in 52 degree weather and chill your freakin' tongue. So good.

Ahh the miracle that is YOGURTLAND!!!! Thank you Michelle for discovering this place...Hands down this is the best yogurt ever...Way better than goldenspoon, pinkberry and even Cefiore!!!! I love this place...It's self serve and you have the option for many different flavors. The green tea and pistachio are the best. The mango too!! You can also put your own toppings and what makes this place even better, they have mochi!!!! I LOVE YOGURTLAND!

  • reiko H.

This is the first yogurtland I've been to and I was surprised at how cool this place was.... 1) you have different flavor yogurt to choose from, both sweet and tart flavored ( also interesting flavors like taro, green tea, pineapple tart, pastacio, espresso, etc) 2) you have different toppings from fruits to cereal to even sweets (which is always a plus in my book) not to mention syrup if that's what you want 3) self serve! (so you can put as much toppings you want 4) the price (30 cents an ounce, you can't go wrong with that) The only drawback was the long line which i didn't experience in the one in hollywood but the one in irvine, it was crazy, and ppl can take forever choosing what they want. But other than that, it's worth trying because i guess if you're not into tarty flavor yogurt then it's better to come here rather than pinkberry. You'll get what you want and it's worth a try.

I LOVE YOGURTLAND. If I had to make a list of my favorite things about LA, Yogurtland would definitely be in the top 5...maybe top 3? I love that the yogurt flavors are rotating--it keeps things exciting. I love the variety of toppings. Every time I go, I end up just getting candy and other sweets, but they have a great variety of fruits to choose from as well. And it's CHEAP! It usually never costs me more than $3 and I certainly don't scrimp on the yogurt or toppings. This location is a little larger with more seating than some of the others I've been to. The only bad thing about this location is the lack of parking! There is essentially none.

Pink Berry is better than Yogurtland because of one thing: they make your yogurt LOOK good. Other than that, Yogurtland tops PB. Flavors change variety at times, which is good. Variety of sweet toppings and fruit toppings of what's in season. Can't go wrong with a buttload of yogurt and toppings for $4. Make your yogurt look presentable, or else it's gonna look like rainbow bile in 10 mins.

I live in the SF Bay Area and all I can say is that I hope we get a yogurtland very soon. We've gone there three times in the past 4 days because it's so good and because you can create it however you want it. Last night I did peach yogurt with a few vanilla chips and then fresh mango pieces on top. They have a generous variety of fresh fruit toppings including blue berries, black berries, raspberries and strawberries. They also have kiwi, mango, banana, and melon. And since it's all self serve and then priced by the ounce, you can make it however you like it. Our creations have come to about $3 - $3.5 each and that's with my daughters piling them high.

I think this was the one I went to with my friends. I had tasted 4 flavors and settled on taro. I added red bean and mochi toppings. Yummy and cheap, need I say more? The yogurt was nicely flavored. It tasted like taro ice cream. I regret for not going back more before I left. Until we meet again Yogurtland...........

unlike every other person reviewing yogurtland, i've never been to pinkberry. i just moved here from san francisco, and while the tart yogurt craze is running strong there, it has yet to prove strong enough for your trendy lil chain to sprout up. so i went to yogurtland based only on reviews and the fact that i like to avoid monster chains when possible. and... eh. the taro flavor was definitely good, but all the tart flavors were nonfat, and had that weird watery quality nonfat things often do. the strawberry flavor, as mentioned by someone else, was very fake tasting. also, the fresh mango neither felt nor tasted terribly fresh, and while i went partially b/c "cheesecake bites" sounded awesome, they were totally yucky-- little balls of crunchy sugar with nothing resembling dairy contained therein. overall, yogurtland made me kinda wanna try pinkberry.

i love yogurtland all their flavors are really really good specially the peach and mango. i love having it for breakfast or lunch its very local too oh and also its MUCH BETTER THAN PINKBERRYS!!!!

a bit too tart for my tastes. mass toppings though.

  • Trucy N.

They took a good concept and made it better. Its best for control freaks out there because you can put in as little or as much yogurt and toppings as you want. i take everyone here and no one is ever dissapointed. In fact, its addicting for some and they are always asking to come back. My coworker is also opening a yogurtland franchise starting up soon in Anaheim Hills so look out for that one. Oh you have to try Taro flavor. So good!

  • Andrew K.

I'm not a big fan of frozen yogurt and I have gone to Pinkberry a couple times in NYC and never really found it great but this place is amazing! First, you get a cup and there are like 12 different yogurt flavors you can choose from. I was overwhelmed by the choices but you can ask for a sample cup and you can sample alot of flavors. I finally decided on blueberry tart, cookies and cream, strawberry and pistachio and they were all good. Then, you can choose all these toppings like fruits, nuts, chocolate, gummie bears. The best part of this place is that it's only 30 cents per once! I eat alot and my cup was piled high and it only cost me like $4! If I got that much yogurt at Pinkberry with all those toppings, it would cost at least double that. I looked at all the locations and I just found out there is one in Greenwich village, NYC so I will definitely be going there when I go home.

In the words of the wise Ms. Turner, "Simply the best, better than all the rest." When it comes to you, Yogurtland, I have to agree. You, Yogurtland have more flavors than that other place, you offer sample cups (no matter that I have come in numerous times already and have sampled all the flavors), you allow to pay by the ounce, you have a bigger selection of toppings, and sometimes you actually change and introduce a new flavor. NOW, I do have one request of you, Yougurtland on Sunset: wipe your floors, especially after a horde of people comes in, the floor gets sticky. Nothing ruins a cup of your scrumptious, frozen yogurt when my feet are immobilized by your sticky floors. Let's re-evaluate this relationship in a month. I know you can change for the better.

  • Christy E.

I'm not a BIG fan of yogurt. But I do agree this place is a lot better than all the other places. Why? Because they have so many flavors to choose from rather than the three or less basic flavors. Then you've got the option of how much toppings you want to add. Rather than hoping they put enough to fill your satisfaction. Yeah, I'm not much of a risk-taker. So I get my usual plain yogurt flavor with strawberries, mochi, cheescake bits. That's yummy for me. I'm hoping someone can wow me with what they get. So I can add some flavor to my life(:

I gave 4 stars only cause they no longer have Red Velvet. I love this place, when everyone goes on about Pinkberry this is the place I rave about. I brought my almost 4 yr old girl her a couple of days ago. We were nicely greeted by the cashier girl, who was very friendly by the way. One of the reasons why I love this place is cause you can get as little as you want. Being a mommy who wants to do sugary stuff in moderation this place is a gift f/the sugar gods. With a mix of Strawberry and Cheescake. My mini-me was happy and so a Mommy and Jorjy day. Thanks. But please bring the red velvet back!!

  • natalie b.

yum! i live right behind this place and i'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing. not only are the flavors great, but the selection, as well as that of the toppings, is phenomenal. the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. of course, being helpful isn't all that necessary since the yogurt is completely self-serve. i can't imagine ever being disappointed with a trip here.

    (5)
  • Jeane C.

this was the first yogurtland i went to, and i was blown away. a self-serve, yogurt buffet?! more like yogurtheaven! i've since frequented yogurtlands closer to my neck of the woods (should i write reviews for them too? hm.) and have seen yogurtland-wannabes sprout up like mad. (squeeze and scoop anyone? more like.. squeeze and poop! just kidding, maybe it's great there. i wouldn't know.)

I was first introduced to Yogurtland down in Irvine when I visited my cousins. It's definitely not the phenomenon in l.a. as it was down there (in a good way...like lines out the door bad). I got my boy hooked and we go a bit crazy at Yogurtland. I'm partial to making my servings all fruity (no chocolate anything) for some reason...but yes to the cheesecake crumbles! I'm obsessed with the mochi and am typically very satisfied with their selections and freshness. Yuummm....makes me want to make a trip right now!

  • Paul O.

First time at yogurtland and was very impressed. They have many type of flavors and topplngs to chose from. My favorite is the peach tart yogurt with fresh mangos. Only bad thing about this location is the parking. Gets very congested sometimes.

  • Esther S.

Holy crap I like Yogurland better than Pinkberry and Red Mango. Why? Well because you have more than 3 options of flavors, there's more topping varieties, and it's cheaper! Some of the flavors they had were Vanilla, Taro, Peppermint, Egg Nog, Chocolate, Peach, Cookies n Cream, Blueberries, Pineapple, and a few others. Blueberries and Chocolate are money! For $.30 per oz you can load up or as little of anything you want. Love it!

    (5)
  • Aram D.

Same exact taste as pinkberry. Half the price. Yogurtland wins. The sunset location is not as hangout-friendly as the PB in los feliz. Love the self serve concept and the price-by-weight. Everything should be sold this way.

  • Oliver S.

This spot effin rocks! I've been avoiding this place because the yogurt hype created by Pinkberry, so many yogurt spots now that I just don't go to any. That's about to end, Yogurtland is by far the best I've tried. First they give you sample cups to try all the flavors, I was pretty much satisfied after that but I was interested in seeing how expensive they're prices are. I filled my cup 1/2 with vanilla and 1/2 coconut with mochi, granola, cheesecake squares, strawberry, and pineapple. The damage around $3.50...wtf, Pinkberry is such a rip off! Another thing I noticed, this place is amazingly clean to say the least. Especially since its a DIY spot, but the workers meticulously clean the whole time. Last time I went to Pinkberry there were fruit flies everywhere. Oh and kudos for the Tokidoki collaboration a few months back...those spoons rocked and they reminded me of the McDonald ones from Happy Meals back in tha day. Takin' me back!!!!

  • Scott A.

This place is better than Pinkberry. Take nothing away from Pinkberry, but with over 15 flavor choices and 30 toppings choices, PLUS you serve yourself and it's cheaper than Pinkberry, you can't go wrong. The tart flavors are amazing...the other flavors are good too. They definitely capitalized on what's hot. At 30 cents as ounce, try it

it was one of those nights where i was itch'n for some Pinkberry... but i was no where near one. then i saw the bright light of Yogurtland while driving on the sunset ave... when then hell did that pop up?! lets just be honest, the decor was so cutesy-lame. but pure and clean looking enough for my eyes to land on the self serve yogurt dispensers! YES! so many to choose from. and since there wasnt a line (psha, Pinkberry!) i took my sweet ass time picking flavors. . - Plain tart: not as tart as Pinkberrys, but still pretty damn good. - Strawberry tart: if you LOVE fake strawberry flavor, then this ones for you. me, not so much. - Taro: hey, are you Filipino? cause this totally kicks any other taro-flavored anything youve had before. - New York Cheesecake: whats to say? i love cheesecake. (drool) - Kahlua: WOW. best coffee flavor ive ever had in my life that didnt taste like someone just ground coffee beans in it. aside from all those delicious flavors , they have soooo many more... about 15 more (that i think they rotate thru). some of their flavors are hit-or-miss, so try them out before you commit to filling your container with it. theres also 50 billion different kinds of toppings; like flavored syrups, fruit, cookies/candies/nuts and such. there were so many to choose from that i accidentally picked the one i didnt want--haha--i freaked out and just chose something! and the best part? you can load up your one-size cup (or grab that large pink cup to take home) with all the different flavors and all the different toppings and only pay $0.30/oz. WTF, right?! amazing. so simple. so easy. i got 2 containers for me and the bf for about $8.50. love it! by the way, they have a parking lot.... which is unheard of in LA. so please take advantage of that.

I love Yogurtland but we don't go to the Hollywood store anymore because the premises are dirty. The employees are polite but I was really nauseated watching one of them clean the topping bar without gloves. She alternated between eating a few items and then putting some back in the trays. Basically double dipping - really gross! Plus, the floors and counters are sticky, the cashiers touch the inside of the sample cups with their dirty hands and the bathrooms are pretty disgusting. The Yogurtland on La Brea is very clean, as is the one in the Beverly Connection.

  • Bret W.

I've been here several times & the staff has always been friendly & they always have a refreshing pitcher of chilled water with slices of fresh fruit providing subtle flavor for free. This place is just plain awesome! I could go on & on about it, but just take the time to go check it out & you'll see why it is SO much better than Pink Berry. The entire concept at Yogurtland (kinda silly name) is entirely different to the idea over at PB. There are a ton of flavors for you to decide on, you may mix flavors at your whim, they have the classic as well as rather unorthodox-but super good-flavors & the clincher is that their prices really are lower than PB's. My only complaint is that I have to drive several miles out of my way to get to them, but hey...it's really worth the drive. C'mon Yogurtland open a store in Los Feliz...PLEASE!

i just like yogurtland in general.......this location isn't too bad......lots of parking.....decent seating.....that's enough for me....... i like the tart flavors with blueberry tart being my favorite.....

  • Maximillian M.

Still not the greatest froyo but still waaaaay better than the infamous PB. I loaded up a cup of pistachio (nice), Kahlua (nice), banana (yuck), vanilla, and Ghiradelli chocolate (nice) flavors, plus mochi and cookie dough toppings....LESS than $4. $0.30 per ounce, including UNLIMITED toppings...could this be the one to dethrone Pinkberry?

    (4)
  • Jennie L.

i always wonder if they even make enough money from only charging 30 cents and ounce... wait.... u think the owners gonna read this? well... cuz... blueberries and raspberries are probably more pricey then their weight? well... i guess los angelinos wouldn't be ghetto like me and go for a lotta blueberrys over anything else cuz its cheap.... man... i AM my mothers child.... ANYWAY.... i can't wait for yogurtland to kick pinkberry ASS in the yogurt olympics!!!! i just go for plain yogurt with a SHIT LOAD of blueberries and captn crunch (although it cuts the roof of my mouth) and fruity pebbles.... and BAM only 2 bux and some change.... WOOWOOO!!!!! although i do blame them in my recent gain of a few lbs... stupid yummy yogurt.... with deceiving calories....

Some friends took me here when I was in LA, knowing of my tart yogurt obsession. I live in SF, which is sorely lacking in tart yogurt shoppes on every corner. I LOVED Yogurtland. The self-serve options and the variety of flavors bowled me over as soon as I walked in. The store itself seemed clean and organized. The yogurt itself (I tried tart original, tart blueberry, and tart pineapple) was delicious. The spoons were also cute (don't ask my why I noticed or why this increased my fondness for the place). I loved it so much, I went back for a late b-fast the next day. Two thumbs way, way up for Yogurtland! Please open a location in San Francisco!!!!!

My husband and I happened to be drving down sunset to do a couple of errannds and spotted yogurtland..modern scenery with bright colors..lots of tables and chairs to enjoy your cup of fro-yo..as mentioned from other yelpers only two sizes medium and large but we were glad we had small sample cups..Our favorite sugar free blueberry..strawberry and plain tart with mixins of cheesecake, strawberry, cookie dough and mango..kind of pricey..but it's self serve so you don't have to wait in line and tell them what you want..I would definitely come back if around the area...

Woo this place is so good...better than fullerton and irvine from my experience. The fro yo's consistency is less icy and melts slower, no mushy mess before you reach the bottom. At 30 cents per ounce, you can really let yourself go, and get all you want! The flavors are soooo goooood.....a day at yogurtland is a perfect day!!But this yogurtland is better, especially because there's no super long lines. At times this place can be empty too..which surprises cause its super duper awesome, maybe cause its in a random place next to some random stores..

  • Erika M.

My favorite yogurt place!! They charge by the ounce, you serve it yourself, and add all the toppings you want! they have at least 10 flavors to choose from any given day and offer a variety of them. They have tart and sweet flavors. The Ghiradelli Chocolate flavor is incredible! My favorite is the plain tart and Blueberry tart w/coconut shavings and fresh strawberries. MmM. they rock! Parking is a pain but worth it. I go there a lot. I wish they had a stamp card.

AMAZING! Nothing else to say about this place. it's that good!

  • Carla F.

Yogurtland is yummy! I love that they have mochi as a topping choice. The chocolate & oreo flavors are my favorite. I am only giving it 3 out of 5 b/c I think that it is a little pricey, and they need to come up w/a smaller sized cup. I feel so wasteful using a 1/4 of the smallest cup. The fruit toppings always look kind of gross. I do however love the decor--very cute!

Bye! Bye! Pinkberry! Hello Yogurtland! The Toru flavor...... unbelievable! They have around 13 flavors at 30 cents an ounce. They are going to have to follow this place up with a rehab center I swear.

not bad ... just like nubi's ( yelp.com/user_details_re… )out in millbrae, but i like nubi better!! i can't believe i went to 2 dessert places in one day .. lunch : hollywood gelato (nxt review) & yogurtland after dinner .. area can get a bit scurry at night cuz the area is a bit sketchy, but not really ... so make sure to hold your s/o hand !!! =D

I love Yogurt Land!!!!! They have the best frozen yogurt, the best flavor, the best toppings, and the best prices. If I want dessert, I go to Yogurt Land! This location has great service and a lot of seating and parking.

  • Chris F.

30 cents an ounce!! what a good idea PROS: 1) you create your own dessert :) 2) Fresh fruits!! 3) 21 dry toppings. (mochi, my favorite) :) 4) Friendly Staff CONS: 1) this location is far from my house. good thing there is another Yogurtland in Fullerton :)

there is no reason to not be in love with this place. every time i get to the scale my cup is overflowing with berries and cheesecake bites and yet it never comes to over $5.

I thought frozen yogurt was just ok. But once I tried Yogurtland, this was it for me. The first one I went to was the one in Long Beach. I have since visited a couple other locations including this one. Even my bro who hated another famous froggurt joint is HOOKED. It all starts with the modern, super cute decor. Then the self serve yogurt bar. Others have tried to copy this, but none compares to Yogurtland. They have the best flavors and the toppings are fresh & of quality. I like strawberry, mango, vanilla etc. for yogurt and toppings-cereals, fruits, cookie dough, cheesecake, sprinkles are the best. One of the best things is that YL has better prices than other joints & they don't charge by topping, but by weight. And you can keep the pretty spoon. :) Totally worth it. Try it, you'll be addicted. I am ALWAYS craving it!

  • Emm C.

i got a dash of taro, mango and vanilla with graham crackers... it was so much better than pinkberry's. I think it's less sour. still, i like soft serve more. 5 stars cuz it's tasty, healthier, and customized!

  • Jackie R.

How can you not love this place? There were so many different types of yogurts.... how are you to decide? Well, I'm a fan of the plain tart with a ton of fruit toppings. One thing I didn't like was the granola. It was stale. This is no Pinkberry but is a great runner up. You have got to try it.

i wish there was a store closer to me (closest one is in sherman oaks) because i love this place! just went there for the first time with a friend, and nearly every flavor was delish and at 30 cents an ounce, a great deal! the tart flavors are flavored just right, and they have the best tasting peanut butter yogurt ive ever had.

i like the director of franchising. he was very nice. he always goes there to check on the store on his off days. i like all flavors. my favorite is strawberry and cheesecake. yummy.

I used to go to Pinkberry a lot before Yogurtland came out. I didn't realize I would be getting more from this place than I would from Pinkberry. There's a lot of flavors to choose from and toppings! The area is pretty clean, but every time I went, the seats were usually full. Maybe some more seats?

My BFF, Jermain and I, went to this place for the first time like a week ago and was super blown away! Not only do they have like tons of flavors but you can totally fill up on the samples for free ;D lol I love mixing the Oreo cookies with strawberries and other crap! My fave! Well thats all for my first post! See you guys there ;)

Oh Yogurtland, how do I love thee... After a hike, after dinner, for dinner, for breakfast, rain or shine, anytime!!!!!!! There are SO many options here, it's self serve and a fraction of the cost that the other similar places charge. I'm a HUGE fan of the "tart' varieties: Plain, Blueberry, Strawberry, Kiwi and the NEW Pomegranate Raspberry!!! Any of, or a combination of the above buried in an almost inappropriate amount of fresh kiwi and strawberries and you have a very happy Monstre! If you arent into the "tart" or want a more traditional dessert, there are several options as well: the Bananas Foster and Pistachio are personal favs...one might even sprinkle some fresh bananas and cheesecake bits over it...who knows! I love that they are open until midnight, one can never tell when they gonna need a yogurt fix. I also like that the spoons are made from some sort of wheat material, and taste a bit like Kix. I will always love you....

Good quality frozen yogurt. They have no-sugar added flavors. The pineapple guava is my fave. They are open late, which is awesome. I would have given them five stars but the last time I was there it was really dirty. This was unusual for them.

  • Dan O.

Yum.. Yum.. Yum I never thought something [plain tart yogurt] so good would be so healthy. I'm a sucker for do it yourself type of places and this place is ideal. You can ask fir sample cups to know what you like b4 but I just like plain or blueberry tart. There is a self self topping isle and I get granola, almonds, strawberry, blueberries. There's a sort of unhealthy items (gummy bears, corn flakes, etc) that I think beats the purpose if having yogurt opposed to ice cream but who cares. They charge by the oz but a fully loaded cup cost as much as pinkberry,s but you can share if you want. Lately I've seen an African American male that's working there and it seems like he hates this job. I don't expect him to love being at the register and love it but he can improve with some people skills since he must hate life or something! Other than that it's the best yogurt place ever!!

Yogurtland is third favorite place in Los Angeles, second only to manhattan beach and my childhood bed. Reasons why Yogurtland is amazing: 1) So much cheaper than pinkberry, ce fiore and other trend yogurt shops. Only thirty cents an ounce. 2) Variety. Usually they have about fifteen flavors and probably thirty toppings, depending on location. 3) Special deals. Sometimes the sunset location gives you 3 oz free coupons, the La Brea and Third location gives you a free 3 oz with a Grove theatres ticket stub, and the Little Tokyo location gives you free yogurt on your birthday. My recommendations: Double Cookies and Cream, Vanilla Wafer and Cream, NY Cheesecake for sweet and Original Tart and Pomegranate Raspberry Tart for tart options. Also, if calories matter to you: most flavors are only 30 to 40 calories per ounce... so Yogurtland is not too unhealthy of an addiction. (toppings like brownie, cheesecake bits and cookie dough have the potential to make your yogurt habit very unhealthy though beware!). Go try yogurtland its amazzzing.

I love this place! It's awesome. I personally like the plain tart with strawberry tart and cookies and cream with fruit! The first time I went there and got plain tart with cookies and cream and strawberry tart with a lot of fruit and cap n crunch! Sounds like a weird mix ha. Well no, it's actually really, really good! The other things I like is that you can serve it yourself, you can put on a lot of toppings and it's thirty cents an ounce! Try it now, or you'll regret it!

STAND BACK PINKBERRY, STAND BACK ALL YOU IMITATION BERRIES OF ALL KINDS! This here is YOGURTLAND. YOGURT----------LAND. I am serious. This place is a safe haven for yogurt lovers alike. I had the priviledge and honor to try the pistachio(YUM!!), strawberry(#1), with some bananas and cheesecake toppings! ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL! I AM GOING BACK AGAIN. I love you YOGURT LAND. If you were a single woman -- I WOULD MARRY YOU!

My boyfriend told me that I was eating my yogurt like a fat kid eating a chocolate cake when we walk home from yogurtland... and i totally felt like that~ It was my first time going there and for sure we will be doing this late night yogurt run often from now on. We live down the street literally, took us 5 mins to walk there. This is the very first place that I could find my favorite taro flavor icecream/ yogurt in LA!! Of course I was all over it. Plus, I can put all the twenty toppings if i want- and I only picked FIVE this time... but its SOOOOO much fun when you can totally build it yourself~ i filled up half of the smallest cup (the medium or large at pinkberry?) when i was having fun at the topping bar, i was telling my bf there's no way i can finish it, and it took me 3 mins to down that thing~ the most amazing thing is: its $1.60 at the check out!!! the only thing is, yogurt was just a bit watery, not as milky-creamy as i would like, its probably just me~ Pinkberry, I am leaving you for good. o, just one correction, business hour should be 11am-midnight everyday.

joel y, if you felt so scared being here, well dont come back! quote---"Why on earth did you pick such a random and ghetto area to have Yogurt land debut in LA? I felt like I was going to get jumped at this location"---end quote GET OVER IT! anyway, this joint beats pinkberry any time! and it might tie up a match w/ old town's 21 choices! super in expensive! ($6 for 2 jampacked small tubs) street parking! self serve! sugar free/south beach diet approved flavors! cocoa pebbles as topping! indoor/outdoor seating! yogurtlands delicious! and this area of l.a is not ghetto, its extremely well lit. home depot's across the street. this is more or less on the outskirts of thai town!

MY NEW FOUND LOVE!!! I got sick of pinkberry after a while (it had an aftertaste) and I completely gave up on FroYo... But today, I stopped by next door to pick up lunch and decided to try Yogurtland and I'm regretting trying it... cuz now I want more!!! I'm DEFINTELY going back. I am in LOVE with the idea of self-serve. I didn't want too much cuz i was on my lunch break.. I just wanted a fix so I went in, got some MANGO flavored froyo and topped with MOCHI & WHITE CHOC. CHIPS (yummmm). I was surprised when the girl said $1.85 please! OMG. a small @ Pinkberry's was damn near $5!!! I'm soooo gonna keep coming back :-) ***EDIT: I'm so upset... they took out the Mango Flavor and replaced with with something else. Now I have to go to a different location to get my Mango FroYo fix... I now go to the one in Japan town...

Yogurt, one of my fav yogurt spots. It's good and it's cheap. When you've had a bad day this is one of the spots to soak in and chill at.

I am probably gonna get killed for giving it 3 stars but it's not all that. Really. I say Menchie's better. Quality wise, this place sucks (that's minus 1 star) and parking really really sucks (minus another star). Otherwise, I truly liked their flavor variety, their toppings, the self-serve concept and the price (30 cents per ounce). But then, Menchie's got all that as well, except they charge 39 cents per ounce but that's because their frozen yogurt is way better in quality. So, I say, Menchie's you truly are irreplaceable

I never thought I'd be one of those people that wait outside to get inside for yogurt. Some of the flavors are ok. I LOVE the Taro yogurt with strawberries and Mochi. The vanilla wafer flavor is good too, it's creamy and sweet. I can't compare to Pinkberry cause I've never had Pinkberry. Plus, it's super cheap. Everything averages around 3 dollars. You can ask for sample cups and try some for yourself.

    (5)
  • C S.

This place is open late and is usually clean. An occasional line, but it moves quickly. They also have free lemon/cucumber water. The flavors are always great!

My roommate had been talking up the yogurtland for quite some time. I had felt a distinctly yogurt shaped hole in my heart for sometime. Pinkberry could not fill said hole, not by any stretch. All I really wanted was peanut butter fro-yo. Plain and simple. Lo, Yogurtberry on sunset is a beacon of all that is good and yogurty. First, it is self flippin' serve. Yes you dish it. They weigh it. You want toppings? do you want to add crushed up oreos and heath bars? Done and done. You can load it up with fruit and all that crap if you choose. Then go to the friendly counter person who will weigh your creation and charge you. Here's the catch, it's cheaper than you expect. So, you find out that it only costs you 3 bucks and now you want to get back in line and try it again with a different flavor. Sigh, I wish they were open at midnight. That is the only downside.

    (5)
  • kristin e.

it is AMAZINGLY cheaper compared to Pinkberry!! We went crazy, putting 4 flavors in the medium sized cup (plain tart yogurt, mango, cheesecake and pistachio) with 3 toppings (fruity pebbles, strawberries and blueberries) and it was only 4.25 for the whole thing. I love the self serve concept and you can also create your own shaved ice desserts. the flavors were endless although i had some misses among the hits (i didn't care for banana nor green tea) and having a few sample cups to experiment with really helped a lot (i joked saying "we could just stay here and sample every flavor and get full from it!") my favorite is always the plain tarty yogurt...wish we had this in the bay area!

  • Ani P.

Do you want just a taste of yogurt or do you want to be busting at the seams? I love that I get to choose my flavor of yogurt, I can combine as many as I want, and I get to choose the quantity. Think back to college dorm days and self-serving froyo at the cafeteria. I happen to like the natural flavored yogurt. You know what I'm talking about, the Pinkberry-esque flavor. Well Yogurtland has got it and it's tastier than Pinkberry, more zesty. My husband is anti-zesty and pro sugary sweet. Yogurtland gives us both the natural zesty flavored yogurt as well as the typical ho-hum flavors. We can enjoy a cool treat at the same location. The toppings are FREE. The price is cheap. The froyo is creamy.

    (4)
  • Evelina A.

A great substitute to the pricey and overrated Pinkberry. You have many options for yogurt flavor in addition to the ORIGINAL! The fruit looks as fresh as Pinkberry and because the cost is determined by weight of your cup, you are not limited to a certain number of toppings. 34 cents per ounce I think. You can put 5 different toppings with 2 flavors of yogurt and it'll prolly cost you same as the regular at Pinkberry. This location is less crowded than the La Brea one. (good thing in my book!) My favorite is the vanilla flavor with mixed berries, almonds and coconut flakes...sooo tasty!

  • S Y.

A lot of people seem to like this place, so I gave it a whirl. Short version (it doesn't deserve a long version): I can taste the difference between tap and bottled water. I can taste alcohol in most foods if they contain it, even if it's burnt off. I can even taste artificial sweetners in everything, so my tastes are uber-sensitive sometimes. I tried three different flavors of yogurt at this place (probably two types of strawberry and a peach), and it sucked. I don't care if it's cheap because it's measured by ounces, it sucked. That is all.

i am a diehard froyo fan. can't get enough. so when a friend told me about this supposed froyo heaven, where flavors are varied and toppings are endless, AND you pay by weight, i thought i would be divorcing pinkberry for good, or at least entering into a torrid affair with yogurtland...but it wasn't meant to be. first of all, i am overwhelmed by choice. for me, more is just...more, so to have 20 flavors of yogurt in front of me is too much. i can never decide what flavor profile i want, i paced back and forth fearing that if i keep it simple i'll regret it, so i chose 4 flavors and then ultimately regretted that. as far as toppings go, forget about it. i LOVE fruit. just fruit, no candy cereal granola cookie saucy crap. BUT when i can just so easily toss some m and m's in the mix, throw a little dust of butterfinger, and gummies as well....are you getting the picture yet about my problem with too much choice?? i ended up with this ridiculous concoction of 4 yogurts and 12 toppings, but i was still excited to dig in. i ate maybe a third of my cup of so-called yogurt bliss before i felt totally sick and stuffed from all the sugar. blech. and on another note, as i sat eating and watching other people put together their cups, i couldn't help but realize how unsanitary the whole fiasco is. filthy hands and kids sneezing all over the place started creeping me out. so in the trash my yogurt went. i would rather pay a little more to have someone sanitary pour my one flavor of yogurt into a cup, put on a mere three fruits on it, and call it a day. sorry yogurtland, but things are just too serious with pinkberry.

  • Tyler I.

Yogurtland is hands down the only place to go for FroYo. Pinkberry doesn't even compare to this place. The yogurt is cheap, plus they have the biggest selection of yogurt flavors and toppings. This location can get pretty busy/crowded sometimes, and the parking situation is less than ideal, which is why I deducted one star.

    (4)
  • Will V.

Place is the business...the element is different at this Yogurtland in comparison to the other spots...thugs getting there yogurt on lol.

holy crap... how did it take me so long to find this place? I just needed a lil sumthin' sweet after our tasty lunch at zankou when i stumbled upon yogurtland. for 30 cents an ounce you can create your own masteryogurtpiece! i did vanilla wafer and toasted coconut yogurt with graham topping. YUUUUUUMMERS!!! my total came to a $1.40.

  • Angelee O.

Yogurtland is the perfect treat after a serious workout at the gym! Plain tart with sliced strawberries, blackberries, honeydew, and watermelon is soo refreshing! But I think the pistachio yogurt with almonds and walnuts is the best!! Cheaper than pinkberry's plus way more variety. Parking at the back could be a problem but not to worry! just park at oshkosh next door. =)

I loooooove Yogurtland. Love love love love. I love it so much that when I walk inside my feet turn into tiny cartoon wings that flap, my pupils dilate and change into pink hearts, and romantic music plays. yoooooogurtland. a brief list of ways in which Yogurtland is better than Pinkberry: 1. way cheaper. 2. you can put on your own toppings, of which there are about a million. 3. more flavors of yogurt. 4. no long lines. 5. no ridiculously overpriced household items lining the walls. 6. not Pinkberry.

    (5)
  • Jenn S.

I've been waiting for this location to open and i love it! i always went to the one in fullerton and then irvine and now finally it's in my neck of the woods. woo hoo! i love how you pay by weight and they have so many great flavors. mmmm mmmm.

  • esther n.

I love Yogurtland and was so happy to see that there was one right on Sunset in Hollywood. I always like to get as many flavors as possible, and the price always comes out lower than I expect it to be. The fruit selection here was much better than what I've seen in the Fullerton branch, and I even added some mochi pieces, which I never do, because they looked really soft and yummy this time. This store, being new, has a nice clean look to it, though I'm not sure ripping off Pinkberry's motif is the way to go. I think Yogurtland has more and better things to offer than Pinkberry, and would choose it over the latter anyday. Now if only there was one in Westwood!

  • Annie C.

CHEAP! so cheap. and so good. Get the cheesecake bites on top - it will take your yogurt to an entirely new level. I personally recommend the taro flavor. The best point of Yogurtland is that it's literally right up the street. Yogurtland doesn't have the great plain tart flavors that both Pinkberry and Red Mango have, but everything else is still just as good. And did I mention it's cheap?

    (5)
  • kim p.

This is the best yogurt place around. 1) flavors are great and wide selection 2) price is so reasonable: you get topping and yogurt for low price - you can get a ton for about $3 including toppings! 3) did i say it was so cheap! Unbelievable taste and options for the price! You must go here and then you will never go anywhere else. I love yogurt-land!!

Post-UFC fight night treat. THE AMBIANCE: Very clean Yogurtland. Large indoor seating area. The restroom requires a key that you get at the front counter. THE YOGURT: Always fresh and tasty. My favorite is Tart. I always get it. I also tried the Sumatra Coffee Blend. YUM!! I believe different locations have different flavors. I want to try their crème brûlée (favorite dessert) Vanilla Chai Latte and Key Lime Tart (favorite pie)!!! Yogurtland has a toppings bar that consists of fresh fruit, oats/cereals, candy, and cookies among others. The toppings are always fresh as well. Can't go wrong with Yogurtland. THE TIPS: 15% off your order with check-in! One-hour parking in the rear.

  • Glaizll G.

3 stars for A-Ok. Usual yogurtland. This one is a block or two walking distance from me. Neighborhood: For a young, female who lives around the area, I feel safe enough to walk by myself in the afternoon and early evening to this place. As always be safe, don't show off things more than you should. Parking: There's street parking at the front EXCEPT during the busy hours from 4pm to (I am unsure). During those blocked off hours you can't park because they'll tow you. There IS parking but you can easily miss it because of the mini construction. The parking is accessible from Sunset and St. Andrews St. Crowd inside: There's a school a block away so around the time when school gets out, you will definitely see a lot of children. Toppings: I would say its not a lot compared to the others I've been in. They days I've been there, the fruits were NOT as fresh or ripe compared to the others.

The yogurt itself is delicious but this particular store was packed. There was this one lady was refilling her sample cup at least 10 times (disgusting). But its half the price of FROG.

Great service. The staff gave me 2 tester cups immediately as I walked past her. New York Cheesecake tastes superb!!!! But I went for the Vanilla in the end, not because I'm boring, but because I'm calorie and sugar conscious. Topped my froyo with a mangoes, blueberries, cookie dough bits, cheesecake bits and orange popping boba. It was pretty crowded, many people were trying to escape the heat. The machines were all working and the toppings bar was well stocked and varied. There's a free self serve water station. I parked at the WSS parking lot, dont know if that's legally allowed. Lol. The vanilla tastes a little too sticky and heavy, but I guess that'll have to do. 3 stars for taste, +1 for staff service. There ya go! I dont personally favor Yogurtland over other frozen yogurt places, but this one got the job done painlessly.

  • Justin C.

I f*ck with Yogurtland, bro. This place goes so hard. Toasted Coconut and Pistachio are the flavors. Sprinkle some almonds on that and call it a day. The best part about this place though is seeing what other people do. People go undoubtedly, incredibly HAM here. Like adults even. Not even kids. I'm pretty sure I saw a 45 year old man get the super sized bowl size because America and then literally add ham to his froyo. And that's ok here. Which leads me to my thesis: If you don't like Yogurtland, you probably don't like the film Independence Day and you probably don't like America. Yogurtland provides you with the freedom to make your own decisions. If you want to add sour gummi worms to your frozen yogurt, you can do that here. If you want to only get toppings and hold the yogurt, you can do that here. And if you want to just take those Nate Robinson sized sample cups, taste everything, and then leave, you can do that here. My friends, this is the greatness that is Yogurtland. Quick Hitters: 1) Pretty sure I've never spent more than $3 here. 2) Sample everything.

  • Tiffany Y.

I love Yogurtland, but this particular location has always been the worse Yogurtland I've ever been to and I've been here a few times. The first time, there was a massive line and only 1 cashier. After waiting for 25 mins, I just walked out without having purchased any froyo. The latest time, there was barely anyone there, but this has got to be the most disheveled Yogurtland in the area. The bathroom had tags everywhere. The yogurt wasn't even frozen all the way. The add-ons were cleaned up. The staff did their job, but weren't very cheerful. I now dread the times where this is the closest Yogurtland to my location.

Like this place a lot. They usually always give you the free sample cups as soon as you walk through the door, unless they are super busy. It gets busy mid to late afternoon and it can kind of become a mad house with a lot kids running around so I would avoid during the "after school rush". Lots of different flavors to choose from. I always feel like their labels are deceptive in making you think what you are eating is a lot healthier then it is. This stuff is a very small step up from ice-cream especially with the really sweet flavors or the creamy flavors which they pretty much all are on or the other. But if you do the plain yogurt and some fresh fruit that is your healthiest option. Other huge plus is it's crazy cheap.

Depending when you come parking can suck. Yogurtland is the best! You pay by weight. Typically it comes to $5-6 for a loaded small cup. They now have a little whipped cream machine that pumps out delicious whipped cream!!! It's delicious! If you have Verizon, their online rewards program is offering Yogurtland coupons right now... so get in on that.

Love this place! I have been to quite a few yogurtlands and for me, this location is okay. The worst part is the parking lot shared by various businesses including Starbucks. There are not many spaces to handle the volume of people. Once inside, it was quite busy. I will say this location is a little dirty, but that is probably due to the customer base and volume. This one does have a lot of seating inside and outside. I probabkybwoukdnt go iut of my way firbrhis location, but if this wasbthe obky kne near me, i would swfinately hit it ip. my favorite arw the new mudslide, chocolate milkshake and pistacio. used the yelp

Lots of tables, unlike many other Yogurtlands. I would have given this branch of Yogurtland 5 stars, except the neighborhood seemed a little dicey, and the parking lot was creepy (although I don't think it's their parking lot). Still, it's a busy place, as busy as some of the ones in Vegas we frequent, and all the flavors were working. Still lovin' Yogurtland!

It's a big Yogurtland and it wasn't too bad. I think that they're pretty understaffed for such a huge spot and but with the ample seating and good froyo it's really not that bad. I don't think I've ever waited too long to at the register and all the toppings are pretty well stocked. The parking lot is small but there's ample parking around elsewhere that you can (seemingly) park at without any repercussions. If you're near Thai town and need something cool to calm the heat down you should probably come here.

I wasn't greeted when we came in and then had to wait for cups (not a big deal). It turns out the staff member was too busy watching people on the camera in the back to greet and help us. I came to pay for my yogurt and got told in a rather unnecessary, chastising tone that "YOU CAN'T USE THE SAMPLE CUP MORE THAN ONCE". Apparently it's company policy, and a health issue. I've been to Yogurtlands all over the state, and all sorts of other yogurt establishments and have never ever heard of this one use sample cup policy. I used the sample cup a couple of times to try different flavors - you're running a promotion of new flavors and I wanted to try them! If the re-use of sample cups is such a health hazard then why didn't the staff member come and warn us WHILE DOING IT, instead of watching in the back and chastising us afterwards. Perhaps coming and offering us more cups would have been the more sensible approach. I am furious I was treat as if i'd done something wrong. I've never heard of this policy and DO NOT appreciate being spoken to in this way. It totally ruined my experience, and i'm loathe to return to this location again.

Great flavors great selection great prices. The only problem I have with this particular location are the kinds of people that sometimes frequent this establishment. In particular people who let their kids run around sticking their hands in the yogurt machines and handling the toppings with their bare hands, not to mention coughing and sneezing on everything . It's East Hollywood after all. If it weren't for those issues this place would get 5 stars hands down.I prefer Froyo or Frog personally, you don't see those types there so much.

Yogurt is fantastic. REALLY good for the amount of calories. BUT, too many hobos from the street come in and take the free samples - and they're not generally the most hygenic . . . . .doesn't give off a good vibe.

This place is bomb! There is so many choices to choose from and very healthy ones too. I love going here to go get a healthy yogurt or t jut hang out. The cashiers are very nice too. Five stars for me! I haven't been there in a while but I hope to go. Especially for that pistachio one!

I LOVE Yogurtland! The service is ok. Most of them are super sweet, but there's that one person that really rubs you the wrong way. She made inappropriate jokes and was really weird. What made it weird what I don't recall provoking her. She just kinda went with it. I would usually state when I have asked for it. I don't feel like I had. Dessert wise. They are always clean and busy. This is a great sign! They're always up to date with their flavors and its so appreciated. So besides from the random oddballs Not bad. Thanks Yogurtland!

I have been to a few other Yogurtland locations around town that were pretty good. But this one, on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, is not. It's located outside of the 'tourist zone' but that is really no excuse. It's walking distance from my house so I was really hoping for the best - but no I was very disappointed. It was not very clean and the two employees I interacted with were rude. While the machines that were working tasted ok three were broken/empty. Also the toppings looked tired, I really don't know how else to describe them. After a couple of samples and a good look around the place we just left. Fortunately there is a Pinkberry about a 5-minute drive west on Sunset. It costs more but is better in every way. This location is getting 1-star instead of 2-stars primarily due to the staff. Bottom line - Skip this Yoguetland and get your frozen yogurt fix somewhere else!

Really super nice staff. Always friendly. Yogurt is good, but of course FroyoLife is better. Here is the big problem. This location gets packed a lot. And when it's packed it's a disaster. So many kids, it gets extremely dirty and unsanitary. Plus the parking is an absolute nightmare. The only reason I go, is because I can walk there. But there have been several times where I open the door and saw this huge giant crowd around all the machines and just turned around and walked back home. Plain and simple, yogurtland is like Walmart, FroyoLife is like Target.

I remember back in the days when I got Super Paper Mario the first day it came out at Gamestop there was a Yogurtland. I went in a empty store thinking I ask for the yogurt but no I do it myself. History was made until I moved out of the area... Seven Years Later yes it has been ages since I eat at this location and I see cons. Too many people but they added more chairs since the last time I came. And the parking lot is small. Otherwise if you walk or live near the area (traffic and parking for cars isn't worth it.) Go and enjoy the possible first Yogurtland in L.A.

I was skeptical. I mean, I'm not obsessed with frozen yogurt or desserts or anything. Which is not to say I don't eat them, I'm just more likely eating something with cheese in it. Or carnitas. But led here by the resident froyo connoisseur, I watched. And witnessed. And waited. They have a dozen or so flavors ranging from chocolate to PISTACHIO and some sorbets along the back wall and they have, just lying out there, GIANT cups for you to just go ape-sh** on. And then, you're not even done. There are maybe 30 toppings. It's like the technicolor dreams of children of what their kitchens will look like as adults with little balls of cookie dough and mashed up oreos and dispensers that let you, the patron, freely dispense as much chocolate and caramel and some other sugary liquids on to the dental nightmare you've so lovingly crafted. I was clearly new to all of this because I now understand that this is all pretty standard, but still, hear me out. So my friend served and topped and weighed -- and $2?! All that shit was two dollars?! Ok, now it was my turn.

Self serve fro-yo with all the toppings you could want -- you can't really go wrong! Lately I've been getting the Taro flavor. Shame it's only temporary! It's so good. I've heard that parking is terrible, but I always just park at the OSH next door because I'll be in-and-out. So I really haven't had a problem. It can get crowded in the evenings but I'm there most often in the afternoon so I haven't had a problem! Very affordable; I've never paid more than $3.50, even when it seems like my cup is really really full. Overall, good selection of fro-yo and toppings and very affordable.

The folks who work here are pleasant and do a pretty good job of keeping the place clean. The fruit toppings always look a little gross to me, but everything else is fine. If you're like me and live a jet-setting, car-free life, then this Yogurtland is a good place to kick it and fuel up while you wait for the 207 Southbound bus. Especially after you just bought gardening supplies for your mansion at Home Depot. ;)

What a pity - was my best spot for frozen yogurt and the past two trips I've been let down. Lack of flavors - well not re filled- the topping area was a mess.. More on the floor than in the containers. When asked to re full them I was told he was the only one on duty as his colleague was on a break... Hmmmm not sure about this- small things - but have turned me off...

Oh god yes. As a new import to LA, I was concerned leaving my prior fro-yo place of deliciousness back in Jersey... but this place is right on par with my fro-yo dreams and expectations. They had a great variety of yo's, in the highest of fro fashion. Grab a few tasty cups and try 'em out. I went with cake batter, because you're doing something wrong if you don't add that to your cup. Toppings were a great variety and delectable. It ended up being cheaper than what I would have paid back in Jersey, and 15% off for your first check-in, make it happen. I assuredly intend to frequent this establishment.

Although I love Yogurtland, I have to give this place a 1-star review. The brief experience that we had here left a lot to be desired, and I would not want to come back again. The first thing that is wrong with this place is the parking lot. It is small and narrow, and is shared by a few different popular businesses. Several cars were competing for spaces when we pulled in, so I had to charge in to get a spot. As we entered Yogurtland, we saw that it was packed. We looked at the line that extended all the way to the back wall and debated on whether we should stay or not. As we considered getting yogurt here, I requested some sample cups from the front. The cashier gave me a few, and at that point I realized why there was such a long line. The one cashier didn't seem to care about getting people through the line quickly and took his time ringing the people up. All that needs to be done at Yogurtland is weighing and paying, but the line did not budge while we were here. We did not want to wait in line for an hour for something that should take minutes, so we left for another Yogurtland.

How can i even begin to describe yogurtland. It's my addiction and especially in the summer I crave it almost every day. I love how you can serve yourself instead of someone doing it for you and how much varieties of flavors you can choose from. my faves are the taro, pistachio, coconut and chocolate. Now don't get it confused they have one called twilight chocolate which is my least fave. It has an artificial after taste and just has a real cheap old taste to it. But the other chocolates are good. Best part you cab always get sample cups and try them out. Some flavors are really tasteless and have a real nasty artificial taste to make sure you get sample cups. For topping be careful they will get you in the end. I always top mine with blueberries, strawberries, coconut flakes and almond bits, but it depends what flavors you get. I like mine a certain way :) and of course you cant beat the price.

I love Yogurtland!! This location is good, because they have plenty of seating inside and out. I love that I can always find a seat unlike other locations that have limited seating. They also have large selection of flavors, and toppings as well. Furthermore, the water is self serve as well. They lose one star only because parking is difficult to find during peak hours, but they do have a parking lot, which is convenient when the spots are available. You can just wait until a spot becomes available, park at a meter on Sunset, or look for street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. The service is always excellent at this location. This is my favorite Yogurtland to visit.

  • Carol D.

Great service. I have been a regular customer for a good couple of months now, and I can always count on the staff to be polite and helpful. The frozen yogurt is by far the best in the area, and you really can't beat the prices. Sometimes it gets a little crowded, but it's completely understandable. Thanks for being a great local business!

I didn't know what to expect to this place because this was my first trip to Yougurtland. Their yogurts are fine but doesn't offer anything new which I was looking for. I had to face a great problem because of parking it's very small and narrow and also if you are looking to spent some time in peace then this place is not for you it is really crowded. But the good thing is price reasonable.

    (3)
  • Dismas S.

Pros: Overall, the flavors of yogurt available are very good. The toppings are, in general, also good. Price is very reasonable. Cons: Parking is horrendous. There's barely any parking in back (which is shared and difficult to get in and out of). Notes on my visit: Cashier handed me 13 nickles for change, without saying anything. If you are a cashier handing someone such an awkward amount of change, you could say "Sorry for the change, we're out of quarters." As such, I can only assume he gave me the change because he wanted to get rid of his nickles. Also, while cashier is attending me, he's at the same time handing out sample cups, so I end up surrounded and unable to leave line, and I basically disappear in the middle of the transaction. It really felt as an underwhelming customer service experience, if not downright rude. There's other yogurt shops in town, and I will go to those instead. (3ish today).

It's kind of a mish to get to since the parking lot is such a train wreck. But I did love my long lost Yogurtland so when I finally got in the door and the goods in my belly. Their flavors are so much yummier than others that I've had in my life lately, and less artificial tasting. It's probably the sugar that the others are using. Anyhoo, I love this place! Love the unique flavors. And the FRUIT sides. Even little Maria that was helping me was super sweet. Until next time, xx

Another default spot for dessert after gorging on different places/restaurants in the surrounding area. Parking sometimes is difficult as the lot is small, but if you're patient, you'll find a spot. Just as sitting at times inside. My favorite is tart flavored yougurt, topped with mochi and mango slices. This location is normally not too busy, but it was a mad house when Sanrio released their Hello Kitty partnership and I was originally going to purchase a key chain, but someone got swindled (by my companion) into getting a Yogurtland Hello Kitty shirt.

I thought the holiday season was over for now. Well, I've been proven wrong and have been introduced to a new holiday. My fellow Yelper, Lolia S., has introduced me to National Frozen Yogurt Day. Now, throughout the year, she thoroughly elaborates on and writes reviews about frozen yogurt. So, in honor of National Frozen Yogurt Day, and out of respect to Lolia, I decided to indulge myself with frozen yogurt on 02/06/10. After hanging out and having a good time at the Blue Goose, my buddy and fellow Yelper Antho L. and I decided to take a break from the Goose and rush to this Yogurtland before they closed. Surprisingly, this particular Yogurtland is spacious, clean, and CHEAP! For only 30¢ per ounce, I felt like I was in frozen yogurt heaven! As with most fro-yo places, you're allowed to sample all the flavors. I sampled and bought the new Super Fruit Tart fro-yo. This flavor consists of pomegranate, cranberry, açai, and blueberry. This flavor was pretty good and gave me enough energy to go back to the Goose and have more fun. I'm thoroughly impressed with this Yogurtland in Hollywood. It was very clean, the staff was friendly and, again, it was clean, and I'm a big fan of cleanliness. Honestly, I haven't found fro-yo this cheap and good in quite some time. As Schwarzenegger said, "I'll be back".

Its the 16 Handles of the West Coast. Different yogurt flavors you get to pump yourself. Mix and match as you go along, then select from a wide variety of toppings. A few differences in flavors from 16 Handles, but hey! they are ever changing so no complaints there. They also offer you tasting cups as you walk in. This one lost a star because of the crowd and no parking, but they have plenty of locations to choose from!

Cookie dough balls... Cookie dough ball... Yes they have cookie dough balls So...I'm not a fan of yogurt that tastes like Yogurt..ie..Pinkberry, luckily for me Yogurt land tastes like ice cream...and its totally cheap You get your own bar of build your own....a dozen or so flavors...have as many testers as you want...Sometimes they even have green tea and its excellant. So what I usually go for is a plain french vanilla ( tastes like soft serve ice cream ) then as you may have guessed I pile on the cookie dough balls...I love these things, I wonder if I could steal a few and bake teenie tiny cookies with them...anyway thats off subject..next....I also add some berries and kiwi.. but they have sooooo soooo many choices of toppings it rather overwhelming, like being a kid in a candy store, oh wait its exactly like that except I'm no longer a kid. They have very fresh fruit This place is worth coming to just for the fruit, even without the yogurt, its really a deal... After your down making your take out build it yourself carton they weigh it and charge you...even totally packed down with cookie balls my bill is never over $4... Totally Yums

They have mango flavored froyo! :) came here cause my team won a bet in bowling so my sister and her boyfriend had to pay, haha! I loaded my froyo cup all the way. I got mango froyo with mangos, tangerines, mochi, and melons. It was delicious and I ate it all up! Also, since I checked in on Yelp, I got 15% off my first order! And they offer free wifi! Overall, great experience!

I love yogurtland! Self-serve yogurt with a bunch of different flavors and toppings, can't go wrong. Keep in mind that parking sucks, especially at peek hours. Sometimes I've parked at OSH next door and just walked over, if its just a quick stop. Also, Ive gone many times in the evening and most of the time there are a lot of people. So it gets a little crowded but nothing you can't manage. Check in on yelp and get a discount!

When I was in Los Angeles visiting my younger sister and she refused to get her lazy butt out of bed until noon, I came here for breakfast. I was actually at the Starbucks nearby getting some desperately needed iced coffee and noticed this place a few doors down - could it be true?! I had found my frozen yogurt paradise in another city?! It was. I love all frozen yogurt places and this one is especially wonderful. First sign of a good self-serve fro yo place: it's clean and doesn't smell weird. Second sign: they offer you more than 1 sample cup. AND SAMPLE I DID! I loved the flavor selection here - you'd think my addiction to frozen yogurt in all its many forms would tire me out but then they introduce me to flavors like Taro and Blackberry Lemon Mint! And I fall in love all over again. Also have an excellent selection of toppings, Ghiradelli chocolate and caramel sauce, friendly service and good prices. Oh and free water! I ate here twice in one day when I was in LA. That pretty much sums it up.

Yogurtland is simply magical. Interesting yogurt flavors, ranging from the basics to options that are more exotic. Toppings include healthy fruits, indulgent candies and more. Excellent value. Visited this particular location more times than I care to admit. The staff was always super friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself was always clean. Very diverse clientele, from would-be urban hipsters to extended families make for prime people watching. The somewhat dodgy parking lot next door and the unpredictable urban street environment are additional thrills at this location. Bonus: it's open late! (Just take care in the parking lot!)

I love this place. I know there has been a boom of yogurt joints all over the place and it started with Pinkberry but I like yogurtland since there are a variety of flavors. My favorite is the taro and pistachio. The price is good since it goes by the weight of your yogurt plus toppings. There are a good amount of toppings from cereal, fruits, candies, cookies, and nuts. I love the mochi topping. This location is usually packed especially in the evenings. There is a small lot but you'll most likely end up parking on the streets. There is indoor and out door seating. Yogurtland is perfect for any time of the day!

Who could resist such deliciousness? Yogurtland continues to bring it on! With a variety of exciting flavors, selection and fresh loads of fruits, nuts, and chocolate toppings, One could possibly go overboard and have a bucket full of colorful, delicious "yumminess" (just an FYI- that person who fills the bucket most of the time is---uh--ME) If there is one flavor that truly sticks out to me like a perennial sunflower that keeps coming back and craved by my taste buds...that would be Taro, the taste is delicate, not uberly sweet but so smooth...too bad they don't have it the last time I went in there - bummeroo :( In summary, love the place, good enough seating especially for a small group, you can eat Al fresco or on the go but mind you though- don't fill the bucket too much if you plan to eat it on the go, it's a recipe for one sticky and messy car seat/shirt/pants/skirt...you get the point right?

Little cheesecake bites don't look appetizing at all, but do not be fooled. They will blow your mind. And your mouth off. Like me. So now I have to pour them down my throat. Which is totally fine. As long as its coated with chocolate covered sunflower pistachio sauce mess. Yum

YOGURTLAND IS AN ADDICTION!!!! Ok, so this place does not look as hip as Cherry On Top in Little Tokyo or as hip as Pinkberry, but the yogurt tastes way better at Yogurtland than at Cherry On Top and it is not really rich like it is at Pinkberry. I love the selection they have and the fact I can find taro flavor here. I loooove to just put a whole bunch of blueberries on my yogurt. I'm sure they must think, "Oh, here comes the blueberry guy again!" Blueberries mmmmm!!!! The Hollyweird Yogurtland is best because the guys and gals at the counter actually have personalities haha!!!! One time one of them mentioned that even though you pay less if you ask for your yogurt to go that you are actually paying more for it in the long run! I'm not gonna get into why but I thought the guy was hilarious! Haha!!!! Plus this is a great place to people watch.

Great yogurt selections they are always changing their flavors they have plenty of toppings to select from, the only thing i am not to crazy about is the traffic situation to get there and the parking is always a mess. But i can't take away the flavor and the quality of the product because of that!

This is a decent Yogurtland location if you time your visit right otherwise it's one to avoid. Parking sucks; it's narrow and cramped. I haven't really experience the problems that other Yelpers have mentioned regarding cleanliness or service. Then again, it's probably because of when I visit. 15% off for the first order when you check in.

I come here because it is close to my house. Usually there are weirdos sitting outside that I have to walk past in order to get in. I don't know why but the place feels dingy to me. But each time I do go I always find new flavors which is great. Once in a while I'll find the ice cream very soft almost melted coming out of the machine. Service is overall pretty good.

This place is DOPEEEEEEEEEEEE~! My froyo nirvana. This trumps all froyo places that I've been to so far. You serve yourself. You are Janet Jackson. The flavors offered ... Peach Strawberry Vanilla Arctic Vanilla Dutch Chocolate Cafe Con Leche NY Cheesecake Green Tea Taro Mango Plain Tart Strawberry Tart Pistachio BAM! How do I remember all this? Ain't yo' concern. Toppings - you can go buck...go enji. Location - next to Panda Express. Parking lot in the back. They close at 10pm, except on Fri & Sat 11pm.

My first visit to a Yogurtland. Self-serve pay by weight. I tried the taro, the pistachio, and the creamsicle. All good. Added some chocolate chips and Reese's Pieces. $3.20 for the small cup. Not bad! The place had a steady stream of business at 9 p.m.

YYYYYYYYYUCK! Urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Have been going here occasionally after work. Good flavors. Kind workers......until today. I mean I always noticed they didn't keep their toppings as clean as other self serve places and it wasn't always as organized and clean but today was the topper. OK, so go in, get sample cups - my fav part is sampling. Start to sample and see a kid sticking his fingers on all of the machine spouts and sampling the yogurt with his fingers. After licking he went to another machine. I said, "hey! You cannot do that." Then his mom smiled at me and him and gave him a cup. He was going to machine after machine with his nasty hands with spit and yogurt on them. Not to mention he could not reach the handles. So then his brother - older like 10 years or so- was sampling over and over with the same cup. Nasty! So, I went to the counter and told the worker guy and said maybe he should give them another sample cup or let them know that's not allowed. He told me, "it's OK, everyone does it! " Well shit, if everyone does it in your store and you watch and let them, good luck not getting a Health Department disaster. And I will not be a part of it! 2 stars for some of the cool workers I have met before. Will not be back. Nasty!

Parking situation is pretty bad, wouldn't even call it hit or miss, just miss but it is Yogurtland... Delicious. Clean for a do it yourself buffet yogurt shop. The staff could improve the topping area by keeping it stocked but other than that, no complaints. Update: used to be clean, now it is filthy. Minus two stars.

Hard to get in parking lot. They have lots of flavors and yogurt dispensers. However, they have stopped giving out sample cups (they only give you 1 now, and put the yogurt in it for you). I find that insulting.

One of the many joys of west coast is the multitude of bubble tea & yogurt joints! Overwhelmed by choices...I turned to yelp for reviews and I gotta say, the price factor of Yogurtland is what drew me versus Pinkberry. Even with post-sushi coma from Sushi gen @ Lil tokyo, my sis & I made our anticipated trip to Yogurtland around 8pm to meet a gf. It was slightly busy, but what caught my eye was the SELF-serVE yogurt!!! Yayyy!! Dunno how I made room in my tummy for dessert, but I made it work :D I didn't wanna go for heavy flavors so I kept my yogurt concoction light w/blend of: ~ blood orange ~strawberry ~ mango topped w/: frosted animal cookies, berries, granola, almonds, & more fruit. Verdict = deliciousness in a cup! Plus, it didn't cost me a fortune even w/mountain of yog & toppings! Taste was fantastic and blood orange was my fav !! ~ I dig the self-serve, it's like a dessert playground for grown ups! brilliant! wish they had yogurtland in chicago :( I'll just need to make frequent trips to CA to get my dose of yummy froyo. hehe

Why have I never been here until two days ago? The yogurt has live cultures and isn't melty and "loose" like other places. Only downside is if you go at night, it's super crowded and there are an ample amount of drunk crazies hanging out in the parking lot.

I love Yogurtland. I hate this location. It's always super crowded.. and I mean SUPER crowded, which means everything it dirty. The area where the toppings are is disgusting, I don't even want to touch the spoons. The place is so busy it seems the employees have no time to refill the toppings when they go empty, and no time to wipe things down to make it look at least a little nicer. Maybe they should have just one more person on staff so that it won't look so nasty in here. Parking is a pain in the ass, too.

Yogurtland is top contender in the overpriced, bougie, fancy pants yogurt shops market. They've got plenty of yogurt dispensers with various flavors to enjoy. The toppings are plentiful as well with your fruit, candy, and nut selections. You can also top it off with more sugary goodness in the form of chocolate, caramel, blah, blah, you get the picture. I'm more of a fan of the Pinkberry chain, but that's just me. I consider Pinkberry to the the Apple iPhone, and Yogurtland to the be Google Android.. that is if one were to compare them to cell phones. Pinkberry appears to be more quality driven at every aspect of their operation. They don't have quite a wide variety of selection as Yogurtland does, but you can taste the unique flavor Pinkberry is bringing that separates the men from the yogurt eating boys. Yogurtland isn't quality so much as quantity, but if you like to be blown away by selection, then feel free to go here. I can't hate on yogurt though. I'm just saying it's a different business practice. That's good; variety is the spice of life. Too bad neither of the chains offer variety as a topping. That's it. Be good to each other and remember to take your meds.

Parking here sucks. But damn if I ain't obsessed with Yogurtland. Good selection, friendly staff. I wish they would keep the toppings area a bit cleaner, but I don't usually spring for toppings besides almonds anyhow :)

The service here is always terrible. Even when the place is empty it is nearly impossible to get a sample cup. They also never seem to have both registers open no matter how long the line is... also parking is a nightmare if you cant park right there on sunset... the parking lot behind is shared with five other places like panda and subway... so people will throw down for a spot. All that being said... They always have great flavors.... large selection of toppings.... yumm

Since the Pnkberry on Vine closed, I hung my head low for a while, sighing with dispair, that is until I accompanied a friend to China Express and saw what next door? Yorgurtland! That's what. I was nervous to try it, but glad that I did! It's definitely no Pinkberry but it does take care of my froyo fix. The coconut is my favorite flavor and I've basically had them all. The one annoyance about this place is that a million little kids are ALWAYS in there, elbowing their way around and literally standing crotch to butt, as in your butt in line. I had to literally ask this kid to move back and give me a bit of space. I'm not a pedophile. I don't want some little kids crotch against my ass! On another occasion I had to teach the kids about what the appropriate amount of space is in line, and I have no idea where this kids parent was either! And on still another occasion my friend got elbowed and elbowed the kids back lmao, which I don't agree with but it sure was funny.

I am a big fan of Yogurt. But more importantly, I am an even bigger fan of Creative Control. And at Yogurtland you'll be sure to get both. I've been coming here for about 3 years now and so far I have no complaints. The service here is excellent, they have a wide variety of frozen yogurt and fresh toppings to choose from and despite it being located in a "not so nice area" of Hollywood, it's pretty decent. The only downside of this franchise would have to be the location itself and that it can be a little difficult to find parking at times. However they do a pretty good job keeping the place as clean as possible and therefore I'm not nitpicking too much about this place. Overall I love this Yogurtland. It's just a shame that it isn't located in a nicer part of Hollywood.

My friends and I came here after dinner one night and three of us had our yogurts weighed together... the total came out to only $9.87. For three of us! $9.87! AND they have a [little] parking lot. I got taro and pistachio, but pistachio was the better of the two. How can you not be happy when you and your friends are choosing what toppings to put on taro and pistachio froyo. See, no question mark. It's not even a question, it's a statement.

I love Yogurtland. But someone really needs to clean this one up. It's gross. Dirty. Inside and outside. The counters, the floors, the garbage outside...I've been a few times and have no interest in going again because of the filth. I know it's Hollywood, on Sunset Blvd, next to a Panda Express, the smell of which is nauseating. I know there's (a usually full) parking lot, plus ample street parking. Too bad it's the one closest to me.

In these type of establishments...it does not take much to run it. The product itself is generally consistent (overly sweetened frozen yogurt) throughout the franchise based on their convenient add powder/milk/yogurt and press a button to turn the machine on elements. Due to this- there are really only two things you can legitimately review: The cleanliness and service- both of which are lacking here at this particular establishment. First of all- the toppings bar was very unclean. There were bits of candy and fruit on the counter. An employee walked by, picked them up and replaced them in their bins with bare hands at that - me and all my friends witnessed this happen SEVERAL TIMES during our ONE 15minute VISIT. The floors themselves were filthy as well. Also, I asked if I could have both of the featured two (sanrio) characters of the month spoons. He rudely told me I could only have one per cup and I asked if I could at least get another spoon for my significant other who was sharing with me. He took another spoon and dunked it harshly into my cup. It was not the news that had upset me, but his tone of voice as well as his demeanor. My friends and I sat down afterwards and the workers were cleaning up (half an hr before closing, on a weekend) and one of them went to the backroom and shouted profanities quite loudly. Afterwards, as he was bringing in the chairs and tables from outside, he dragged them in so roughly that the metal chair legs scraped and screeched very loudly and uncomfortably across the entirety of the path from outside in. We felt really unwelcome and almost forced to leave. It was not yet closing time! WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE EVER!! ***I do NOT write 1-Star reviews often at all. I only do so when absolutely justified and necessary. Note that other low-starred reviews reflect that of which I have already covered here! HEED THIS WARNING EVERYONE!!***

I LOVE YOGURTLAND! I have to say, that yogurtland is the best dessert place in LA. I've heard many stories about their delicious flavors, the cute corn-based biodegradable spoons, but never did I imagine how wonderful it actually is! Really like how all their packaging is biodegradable...boo to waste! Anyhoo... They always have a bunch of flavors to choose from, you get to pay by the weight, and not to mention the fresh fruit toppings...and lychee? Lychee is to asians as apples are to americans. My very first yogurtland was the one in universal citywalk but this location is the one I frequent. Oh! Best part, you get to sample all the flavors before you buy. ZING!

My all time favorite yogurt place. Its a few bucks cheaper then the competition, and plus they got more flavors and toppings. Close by my house so ill definitely be back.

The Mrs. used to always tout the awesomeness of yogurtland to me.. but everytime she'd let me taste some i was totally repulsed by the flavor.. like literally.. then i saw that the yogurt was non-fat... BIG MINUS. nothing ever good came in non fat.. i hate the artificial flavors.. the sweetness is just so FAKE tasting to me.. Then they started having this kello kitty cup and spoon promo, which meant.. i have to go with the mrs. to get em all... lo and behold.. i discovered.. the "tart" flavors.. thankyouverymuch.. that is what yogurt is supposed to taste "more" like.. it's not the best.. but those tart flavors are my go to when i go there now... now i just wish they'd scrap the non fat..

Awful location...dirty...overpopulated...parking is a pain in the ass!!! Yogurt doesn't taste as good as the Yogurtland on Labrea... I mean, it fulfilled the craving, sort of...the matcha green tea flavor was DELICIOUS, but the original tart tasted a bit too watered down... At least the price was right...

Way better than Pinkleberries in my opinion. You have the control on what and how much topping you want. My fave is their cheesecake flavor yogurt and cheesecake topping. They even have sugar-free and have many other flavors to choose from. I come here once in a while even if it's not summer. The only shitty part is when these bigass/fatass families that come here and takes a freaking long time to decide what to get and always ask for a gazillion sample cups and hogging up the line! It's super freaking annoying!

Wow, the taro fro yo just did it for me. It was a pretty color purple and the taste was nostalgic of my childhood days, growing up with the Chinese. But I couldn't just get just one flavor for 3 reasons: 1. Too many flavors to choose from 2. They only have 2 sizes: Obese and Bedridden Obese. And you can't fill those big ass containers with the same flavor. 3. I'm greedy. After sampling all the flavors (the girl at the counter could care less), the macha green tea, cookies and cream, moccochino and taro were my award winning selections. They did have pistachio, which is my favorite, however it wasn't anything worth doing back flips or triple sow cows over. The toppings are a mix of heaven and hell: fresh fruits vs. cookies/candy/cheesecake. The cheesecake topping tasted a little funky, like it had been left exposed in the refrigerator for far to long. I got the Obese size and somehow if only cost me $3?! Ridiculously cheap. I'm a fan!

Went here while in LA on vacation. Checked in and got a deal. Good variety of flavors of yogurt (although im kind of a plain jane when it comes to frozen yogurt) and nice/fresh toppings. A little on the pricey side.

I LOVE YOGURTLAND! Out of all the places I have been to so far, this is my favorite. Not only do they have many flavors that change daily, they also let you mix the flavors and toppings to your own liking, just weighing it at the end and charging you a price based on that. So, if you want only a tiny bit (which I would find very surprising) Yogurtland makes it possible and also if you want a super large or simply more or a crazy mix of toppings. Oh and it's open pretty late, so in my book you can never go wrong with Yogurtland!

    (5)
  • Janice L.

This yogurtland has most of the flavors other yogurtland has, but poor management and the place feels messy and dirty. Toppings are all over the place, yogurt drips everywhere. Er doesn't make you want to come again.

Cheaper than Pinkberry, self-serve and more flavors... pretty solid. Less busy than the one on La Brea (at least as far as I can tell from the INSANE traffic maneuvers that go on at La Brea loc... geesh) It's pretty clean, but I am totally paranoid that people are touching the toppings anyway.

I love this place. Cheap self serve yogurt place and it's usually not too crowded. I love the tart flavors so mango, raspberry and pomegranate. peanut butter really tastes like peanut butter too! There's parking in the back but sometimes it's crowded because they share it with starbucks and panda. Lot's of fresh fruit for topping.

after going to Beefsteak Sunday at Bacaro LA, there is not much room for more food but the Yogurtland 3 miles away was calling us and i answered by spending $1.87 for the both of us (my 3 other friends seemed to have more room in their stomachs). *hey, do they stick spoons in your cup before or after they've weighed your cup? just wondering if a scrupulous business practice is going on - it just occured to me anyway, the flavors of the night for me were -arctic vanilla -taro -green tea -pumpkin pie -pineapple tart* *clear winner i think frozen yogurt cover up the subtle taste of fruit, so unless the yogurt already has the fruit in it, i don't put any. the bf put some raspberries in the cup, and i put in some mochi balls. after many trips to yogurtland, my conclusions are: -i find myself liking the tarts (plain tart, european tart, pineapple tart) -the pumpkin pie is good in pie or coffee form, not so much ice cream. -taro is better in boba -green tea is not bad but i rather drink it or eat it in mochi icre cream 5 stars for yogurtland! see pics

Everything you could ever want and more. I like Taro and Toasted Coconut. I'm not a fan of the Cookies and Cream. It's pretty "diet" tasting. I also love all the toppings. It's a free for all buffet. They also have Pink berry-ish tasting yogurt. It's called "Plain Tart." The Plain Tart was good. I tried the strawberry tart the other day and it was too icy. I'm a creamy yogurt kinda gal. If only this place didn't have monstrous lines of high school teenagers, the bad-influence group. But it's worth waiting, I promise.

I went there last night, awesome late night snack. I love that they're open until midnight! Plain tart is the best flavor, you can add all kinds of toppings without the sweetness being overwhelming. I only rated 4 stars and not 5 because parking here is really bad. It looks like they just squeezed yogurtland there in between a bunch of other businesses. If there's a lot of people at the same time as you, its very uncomfortable because everyone is cramped and walking around everyone to get to the toppings. Yogurt is goooood, but being there almost makes me think twice about going.

After Korean BBQ dinner, we all decided to make our first visit to Yogurtland while in town. I love their original tart yogurt, but when I walked in, they had Pineapple! I had to try it and I loved it. You can ask for sample cups at the counter and if you are lucky, they may give you more than 1 sample cup. After getting my stuff and pilling on my favorite fruits, we went out and found seating areas to enjoy our dessert. While I have my favorites, I think I have tried almost 1/2 of their offerings. Also, can someone tell me why each locations have different flavors?? Parking is limited; otherwise you'll have to park on the street. All the seating is by the sidewalk, the place is actually very small compared to other Yogurtland I visited. In addition, the layout of topping area is a bottleneck, but I guess this has to do with limited space.

"Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are." - Anthelme Brillat-Savarin This is how all food should be served. You pay for what you take. Makes so much sense. Cause you know if you're paying 5 bucks for something, you're gonna eat the whole thing. Probably one of the top causes of obesity in this country. I sat there and watched what people ordered here. Not to be an ass but, the size of the people there did match the size of their yogurts they poured. I'm just sayin. Yogurt ain't healthy just bc the place looks healthy, or the labels say Fat-free or low fat. For those of you old enough to know, we went through this crap with the Low fat craze thoughout the 80's with TCBY - google it. People downing fro yo back then along with massive amounts of pasta and snackwells. It's still garbage. Anyway back to the review. Pretty good. Better than pinkberry due to the massive variety of flavors. Self service is nice, and this is true that you get what you pay for. Here's a tip to save some bucks and also watch your waistline: You can ask for tasting cups, taste all of the 10+ flavors, and leave pretty satisfied. Ain't nothin better than a free sample.

This place is AWESOME! parking may be a bit of a pain but i just park in the OSH lot. I recently joined their mailing list and they sent me a postcard for 5 free oz of froyo! omg in the end i paid like, 92 cents for my giant cup which i shared with my BF and were both full and satisfied. the only downside is that they don't carry their "seasonal" or "special" flavors for long enough to taste twice! i loved their pumpkin froyo but after about a month, it was GONE! now i have to wait until NEXT YEAR! GARRRRR!!!! i love their mochi topping and bits of cheesecake! yummmmmmmmm!!!!! be sure to join their mailing list if you see it! they'll send you awesome coupons! we went on their 1 year anniversary week and got some awesome free yogurtland multi-colored pens! i absolutely love this place! it's so clean and you can sample all you want! awesome!

Oh Yogurtland - the only way you could be better was if you offered non-dairy options.. but I risk dairy-hangover on occasion for you anyway. The yogurt is incredibly sugary though.. I've been to other places where it wasn't as sugar-packed & prefer it. Still gets 3 stars though.

Yech. I just made my first excursion to Yogurtland, which came highly recommended by a friend. I had coconut and pistachio. The coconut flavor was all right but soooo sweet. The pistachio was revolting - it tasted like medicine. I doubt that yogurt has ever seen a real pistachio. Both flavors had about 800 times the amount of sugar that it needed. I ate a few bites but it was like eating sticky sweet, artificially flavored children's candy. This particular Yogurtland is on Hollywood Blvd and I was also not terribly impressed by it's cleanliness. The glass in the door was so grubby that I could barely see through it. Oh well, I guess I will stick with Pinkberry.

Oh, Yogurtland, How I LOVE YOU! We were introduced to each other on June 1st 2011, the day I arrived permanently in LA. I used to love all the froyo shops in Boston which were (my favorites in order): #1: Berryline, #2: Pinkberry, and #3: Red Mango. That's ALL WE HAD. There were no Yogurtlands! Anyway, when my friends from LA took me into your loving shop-o-flavors, I was mesmerized. After asking for a sample cup at the counter and receiving five of them, I went off on my journey to find the best flavors. After saying "yuk" to green tea, taro, and cheesecake, I finally found my favorites which are GRAHAM CRACKER (who knew? Tastes EXACTLY like it!), PLAIN (great for fruit & mochi), and DRAGONFRUIT (new flavor, mixture between plain and strawberry). There are so many flavors to choose from it is very hard to make a decision, Yogurtland. Yet so many people come here! Young and old, moviestar to young child to police officer, we are all lined up to get our fill. Toppings-wise, you have the most, Yogurtland. Back in Boston I got the same thing every time: plain yogurt with strawberries and mochi. Now I do have to admit, the only thing that was better on the east coast was the mochi **tear**. BUT! - you make up for it with all your flavors and of course you do have mochi too. The ambiance of your store is cute pastels, fun, and fruity. Everyone is happy! And at only 33 cents an ounce, it is CHEAP! Get a whole tub of yogurt + toppings for less than 4 bucks. And that's if you put a lot on! You get a green spoon if you're a boy, a pink spoon if you're a girl. And once you go, you're hooked. I spend almost all my paycheck on you, Yogurtland :) Thanks for the experience! I will be back sometime later today :)

Respect the yogurt, yo! I always thought pinkberry was a total rip-off. I'm so happy someone else thought the same thing and opened Yogurtland. I love this place! A zillion flavors and toppings, and I just pay by the weight. I have piled on the yogurt, with toppings, and hot fudge, and paid less than what I did at pinkberry for a small with a quarter of the cup filled. Serious, switch to Yogurtland--

I WISHED THIS WONDERFUL LAND OF YOGURT EXISTED ON THE EASTCOAST!!!!! So good compared to pinkberry and berryline. The guava flavor is phenomenal! And SOOOO CHEAPP!!!

So i tried Yogurtland a few days ago, and i have to admit that i enjoy their concept of serving yourself and paying for what you get. But i am not sure about 12 flavors, come on, i am not into fitness, but really, its flavored yogurt. Okay, i did enjoy it though, not sure if it beats Pinkberry, but it comes 2nd that is for sure, but i would suggest you stick to one flavor to enjoy it, and not like 2,3 or 4 flavors as i saw a few people doing, i understand its cheap by the ounce, but when you have to much flavors in one serving, hello, not grand. Each flavor i am sure is good. Anyhow, enjoy this experience, it's worth it !

First off all lets get this straight, this place stinks. This was my first time going to this Yogurtland and it's obvious that it's full of immature annoying judgemental little pseudohipser **** cholas that think they own the place with their iPhones and ****. The yogurt isn't as good as it tastes unlike Pinkberry's. The yogurt here has more of a bland yet SYNTHETIC after taste to it. It's not fresh and tasty at all. There are yogurt drippings on the floor all over the counters and in the fruits at the front counter. GROSS The staff is really rude. .... I usually buy frozen yogurt 3 times every week. Thanks to horrific services and the bad vibes of a pestering little ****ing rats like that cashier(employee), it made me feel really uncomfortable , threatened and embarrassed to the point where I am never coming back or will ever consider coming back. Thanks Yogurtland, you just lost a good customer. DON'T BUY FROM YOGURTLAND, ESPECIALLY THIS PARTICULAR STORE. GO TO PINKBERRY INSTEAD!!!

  • Ryan C.

The area here seems sketchy! especially at night! The peanut butter, cookies & cream, and vanilla yogurt with butterfinger bits is pretty good! Too bad they ran out of some other flavors. Prices are really cheap unless you decide to go all out and pack the yogurt cup to the top like a fatty. Another complaint that I have is that this place is dirty...from the floors to the yogurt pumps. Employees here just don't know how to maintain cleanliness (-2 stars)! I hope the other locations are way better than this one.

After a great dinner on Easter Evening with the family.....I used my iPhone to find our favorite place for dessert.....Yogurtland! I am happy to say that I did not build my safe favorite concoction of strawberry and cheesecake yogurt, with fresh strawberries, and cheesecake chunks to make my own version of strawberry shortcake yumminess. I discovered the NEWEST flavor of "Red Velvet" yumminess.....like the Red Velvet cupcakes at Sprinkles.....this was that YUM! As usual, Yogurtland let me size up my own serving of my desired dessert for $0.30 an ounce. One thing of note about this particular Yogurtland location, we had to park on streets. No parking lot that I could see. I am a guy that lives in the OC....I am not use to living in the city lifestyle of Los Angeles. Oh well.....Cie La Vie!! Yogurtland....Five Yelp Stars as usual!! ;-p

If you know me you know that I consider ice cream/frozen yogurt a food group. Anyhow, I recently took my first trip to this location. I was unimpressed with parking, which was extremely limited. I made the mistake of going here at 9:00 pm on a Friday night. Sure wish I would have known it would be packed with, may I say, a interesting crowd. I may have picked a different night to go. The crowd unfortunately almost completely ruined it for me. There were tons of large families with screaming kids running around, along with some irritating teens with absolutely no manners (they cut in front of us) and 6 police officers. Yikes! I get claustrophobic in these situations. So we, as quickly as we could, got our serve yourself tubs of yogurt filled with our choice of goodies. I was stoked to try the cheesecake yogurt until... waa waa waa, it was out. Not even a taster! Boo hoo. A reason to go back! I ended up going with vanilla topped with strawberry, banana and chunks of cheese cake. Definitely didn't regret my decision. It was delicious. I only wish we could have eaten there, but the place was just too packed with not a seat to be had. It would have been much better fully frozen I'm sure, but I do look forward to visiting again... with better timing. Don't want to fight the weekend night crowd again.

At times the line is long and I'm waiting with the yogurt in hand so I just eat what I can without a spoon until I get to the front of the line. The store itself can look a bit cleaner. Sometimes the tables are a mess, the yogurt is all over the yogurt machine, the toppings are everywhere, but what can you do?

    (4)
  • Grace Y.

I like everything about this place except ONE thing. Consistency. Their yogurt is not always creamy like how I want it to be. On good days I'd get a cup full of creamy yogurt, but on bad days, I'd leave with a little squeeze with strawberries. I like it that it's self serve and they have so many flavors and toppings to choose from.. :]]]]]]

Ahhhh, what's not to love about cheap self-serve frozen yogurt? It's the bane of my existence. Yogurtland is clean and has a good variety of flavors and toppings (MOCHI!!) and you really can't beat the price at 30ish cents/ounce. Have I had better yogurt or ice cream? Sure. Have I had cheaper, satisfying yogurt? Nope. The only thing that sucks about Yogurtland is that it is so loveable, there's always a line, so newcomers may feel pressured to make a quick decision.

I am such a huge fan of Yogurtland since it first opened its doors in Fullerton and have been following it since as it has been expanding to Irvine and Hollywood. Many more locations to come and I can't wait to get one within 5 miles of where I live. What makes Yogurtland unique compared to all the others (Pinkberry, Red Mango, Ce Fiore, Cantaloop, Yoku Yoku) is exactly what I love about it: it's self-serve. At 30 cents an ounce, you can choose exactly how much you want of one type and move onto the next if your taste buds crave for another flavor. They've got about 10 different flavors ranging from chocolate mint, original tart, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mango, and I can't remember the rest. Not only is the yogurt self-serve, but the toppings as well. Goodness gracious, I can pile up the mochi to the top and choose whether the mangoes look sweet enough. Honestly, can it get any better? Only if it were in my apartment!

Inexpensive and pretty good quality. It's right by my neighborhood so bringing the little ones of the family has become a habbit. They love this place and I can easily afford it. It makes them happy and makes me happy. No UPSET wallets here. It's really good to have so many options but it also means you'll spend 10 extra mins trying to decide. Just try them all. Sample cups available at the cashier. Don't be shy with the toppings, add all the toppings you wanted at pinkberry..HA!! Strawberry flavor is consistently good here. I think you can park on the OSH parking lot if you don't find parking behind the store. Not sure though. Never had any problems doing so myself.

Actually, we found Yogurtland in our hunt for Pinkberry. Super cute decor and great business concept of make-your-own-fro-yo with "natural" or "tangy" or the slightly sour taste of fro yo that was made so popular by Pinkberry. After mixing like 6 flavors, some good and some bad, in my cup, it came out to under $4. Good deal for the fro yo compared to Pinkberry, especially since I could add as many blueberries or fruits or toppings. However, the blueberries at Yogurtland are not as high quality as the ones at Pinkberry. I swear, Pinkberry buys the BEST fruits. Anyway, good deal tho and great for people who enjoy CHOICE!

Pinkberry?! What's that?! Yogurtland has a large variety of flavors and toppings for one to choose from and you serve yourself in whichever way or fashion you want. At 30 cents an ounce you can't go wrong! And your options are endless! Not too sure about what to get? Ask for some sample cups and sample away! I love the Hollywood location because of 2 reasons: 1. It's the closest one to me and 2. It's the only one in my area that still has the Pomegranate Raspberry Flavor (heaven in a cup to me!). At 30 cents an ounce, definitely go try it. And keep your cute recyclable spoon for your yogurt at home!

Dear Mr. Yogurt Land Corporate, Why on earth did you pick such a random and ghetto area to have Yogurt land debut in LA? I felt like I was going to get jumped at this location, but nevertheless the yogurt delivered and my paranoia of ghettoness escaped me right away. I thank you for finally opening up locations in LA rather than having me drive 1 hour to Irvine and wait 45 minutes in line for the same yogurt amongst 300 UC Irvine kids. One suggestion- can you have 50% tart flavors? Here are my suggestions free of charge- Tart Asian Pear, Tart Pomegranate, Tart White Peach, Tart Blood Orange. Hope to see your other locations soon and I hope you kick Pinkberry in the ass because Pinkberry is so 2007 and the business model there annoys me. Best Regards, Me

Pretty decent. Good selection of flavors and toppings, but I think there's a certain chemical aftertaste to some of their flavors that can be unpleasant. Staff is a little overworked - they always seem a little harried, and its clear that sometimes they don't have enough time to clean the floors as often as I'd like.

I really hate laundromats. It goes against every cell of my body. The sickening smell of bleach, the harsh ad unflattering lights, the dirty muddy floors, the employees with 'i'm dead inside' facial expressions and the screaming, out of control children. It got so bad once that I literally screamed, "CONTROL YOUR OFFSPRING!!!" but ofcourse that was met with blank stares, because most of the patrons there did not speak English or apprently know how to use a contracpetive. But I understand were all different, and you might really like everything I've described above. If you do, come to this yogurtland to get the whole experience again! Ofcourse you won't get your laundry done, but im sure you'll get one article of clothing dirty while attempting to choose between taro and original tart. The place looked like a rugby team attacked it, with mud splatters all over the floor. The disgruntled employee mopping it up with bleach was ramming the broom into people. It was pretty hilarious actually. There were parentless children going up to machines with their precious little paws and tasting the available flavors. So environmentally sound those rugrats, ofcourse! Why not skip the sample cups, and lick on the machine? And yes, please please, try the toppings there, double dipping is my favorite. Adds a certain flavor to it all really.... Oh gosh. I can't wait to have 10 kids someday too!

In general I enjoy the Yogurtland stores for the same reasons as other reviewers... flavor selection, topping selection and value. This particular location, however, always (and I mean ALWAYS) has an overwhelming stench of bleach/cleaning products. It practically knocks you over the minute you walk in the door. I have been to this location at least 10 times at varying times of day and night and I have been bowled over by the noxious, toxic smell every single time. Totally unappetizing and ruins the experience. I can't run out of there with my fro yo to go fast enough! The crazy thing is that despite the cleaning product smell permeating the entire store, the place isn't kept very clean. Go figure. Bleh!

i crave yogurtland all day long and fortunately this location is right down the street from me, so i usually hit up this spot after a nice quick jog through hollyweird. They used to have a root beer float flavor that rocked my world as well as a vanilla wafer. But sadly no more. They have tons of different flavors and tons of toppings. It's packed all throughout the day but especially at night and at times your wait is so long your yogurt is liquid by the time you get to the toppings area.

This is my home-base Yogurtland and I do love the yogurt and would give it 5-stars purely for price and taste but alas, there are other factors to note. Firstly, the yogurt & toppings. The yogurt is yummy (I'm a fan of the plain tart & mango in particular) and consistent in flavor, plus they're always trying some new things (like blood orange, red velvet). Always a good, well-stocked selection of fruit (kiwi, strawberry, mango, pineapple, watermelon), assorted (yogurt chips, coconut shavings, white choco chips, gummi worms, cereal, etc) and syrups. Then there's the customer service. I've had good and meh service here, usually the latter when it's hot and busy, but not always. Since it's a self-serve joint and I've never had a bad experience, this isn't a huge factor but when the place is sorta dead, a smile wouldn't kill anyone (and I work in retail, I'm not unsympathetic). Lastly, and as of late, the most-rapidly declining aspect is the shop upkeep. I know, I know, there have been some heat waves and all of a sudden everyone and their mother comes out to have froyo. The store gets messy, it happens. What shouldn't happen is worker/managerial complacency at the fact that you know people will come anyway, so why keep it super-spiffy. The machines, the floors, the counters, tables and chairs have all been pretty grody & sticky the last couple times I've visited and coupled with the packed nature of the store, makes me less amped to go each subsequent time. Yogurtland is really great and I want this location to improve, but let's face it, there are a ton of other froyo places out there right now and people can easily try them all out and leave YL in the dust. I'll keep coming back here because the plain tart is crazy delicious but do hope the place is restored to it's original, clean glory.

I love eating at KBBQ and then hitting up Yogurtland for dessert! It pretty much tops off a wonderful after dinner dessert fix. Or the icing off the cake so to speak..whatever whatever you get it! I went to this location because it is near by the Korean restaurant where I just had dinner. I have been here a few times....and ALWAYS get it TO-GO because it freaking smells like "bleach" every time.....every time I enter this location. Its awful! That would be my only complaint. Perhaps its just my nose. It's great...the place is clean but its really strong =/ I would give this place 5 stars but everyone else did that already...so until you get that smell under control...u got 4 from me and that's ONLY because I love your Taro yogurt with my own customized fruit toppings and I'm always satisfied OUTSIDE the building with bowl and spoon in-hand = HAPPY FACE!

The first Yogurtland I had the delight of going to was in Pleasant Hill, so down in socal when my friend said lets go to yogurtland I was all happy. I wasn't feeling well, but what better than froyo right? Well I had the pomegranate and mango with some fruit to help the cold and it seemed to do the trick for a moment, but at least it tasted good when I ate it. One guy had a huge tower of froyo then went back and got another! I was like damn that was like a quart of froyo in his belly!

"Pinkberry" is no longer in my vocabulary. I feel stupid even referring to it and it's overall lameness. Being able to create and experiment with yogurt and toppings is ingenious. I'm not going to write my usual review, bc its not even something i have to try to explain to others; you'll get it. but, i will say this: GO HERE. EAT THIS. WELL-PRICED. AMAZING. YUM. I GAVE IT 5 STARS!

Kills pink berry, bang! I have overindulged yet again and I say I'll never do it again. I've been hooked on Yogurt land for the past 8 months. I like the do it yourself yogurt machines and the fact that I can build and re build my yogurt towers. I go through phases of what I like and don't like. I used to love the tart with mochi, but lately I've been on the pistachio and vanilla wafer kick. Whatever you're into, they have it. If you want to be healthy you can pull it off with the low fat flavors and the fruit toppings. However, if you're like me with little to no self control then you'll be eating the phatty yogurt with candy toppings. Chill vibe, but what's up with the families taking their kids here to binge on the free samples and then leaving, that's some chutzpah. Yogurt land you may not see me for a few months, it's nothing personal, but it's time I got back into shape and instead of dining on wonderful yogurt, I'll be indulging on egg whites and Ezekiel toast.

Holy sh1t!! how is pinkberry still open? I can't find a single thing about this place that Pinkberry can top! Just imagine Pinkberry but... 10x more choices of frozen yogurt flavors 3x more choices for toppings No fixed prices Self-serve All of this for HALF the price. Seriously. I filled up my entire cup thinking (sh1ttt!!! another 7 dollars down the drain during this stupid recession...oh well, i NEED my frozen yogurt!!!!) but I paid $3.30. WTF? Are you sure? I'm still in disbelief...I will probably go back 100 more times to confirm my suspicions, and I believe that YOU should also go help me confirm them ;) ...happy yogurt eating!

Best yogurtland I have been to. A very friendly staff and great management team. Great place to visit considering the fact that there's a Starbucks, Panda Express and other great spots next door for your convineience. Parking is fair but don't expect to find any spots available during their prime time hours. Very clean and presentable. Do not be suprised to find the place to be a bit messy in the evening. After all it is a self serve parlor. Over all a very good visit and a pleasant experience.

Absolutely love it here! A big fan of the strawberry and mango. I love to dump a lot fruit, which is always stocked when I go there, and fruitty pebbles. The biggest downer would be parking. But I won't knock off a star for that, because it's never taken more than 5 minutes for me to find a spot.

  • Walter C.

Parking here can stink. The lot gets packed real quick, even late night. The yogurt machines aren't always neat and tidy as I think they should be. The flavors vary but I think one that needs to be a regular one is their Nilla wafer. My wife and our friend love that flavor and always look for it. I love their fruit selection and their toppings. I think one of my favorites is still blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and mangoes on the cheesecake flavored yogurt. Yum. The store sometimes feels filthy when there are so many people in there. Ick. And don't even think about coming here when Sanrio releases things here. It gets too crazy!!

    (3)
  • Lousie M.

The fruit is fresh, the yogurt is yummy and they even have popping mango bobas! I really love coming here! The only downside is this place is always crowded and the staff are not very friendly, but not bad enough to stop me coming back!

Yogurtland is amazing! They have variety of frozen yogurt flavors to choose from, and a HUGE selection of toppings including captian crunch cereal, fresh fruit, cookie dough, gummy bears, etc. My favorite thing to get is the New York Cheesecake with fresh blackberries, walnuts, cookie dough, chocolate chips, graham cracker crust, and cheescake bites. For 30 cents an oz, you absolutely cannot beat yogurtland!!

    (5)
  • Mark S.

Yogurtland has a fun variety of self-serve frozen yogurt choices. I find the fruit flavors better than the combo flavors (like pumpkin pie or cookies and cream). The Blood Orange and Mango are really standouts for me. The original or plain yogurt is good but I think Pinkberry is better for that. However, in nearly every other way Yogurtland has the pink beat. Price, selection, atmosphere, friendliness... I've tried 2 different locations of Yogurtland. This one on Sunset near Western was still good but was borderline dirty. The Labrea at 6th location was better but as a company need to update the operations manual for their franchisees for more, more frequent, more thorough cleaning. If this doesn't improve it could cost the company in the long run.

Very narrow entrance and it's in a dirty area. However, they have a decent number of machines and it's not too cramped inside.

  • Laurice F.

100% self-serve!? Hello! That is a dangerous policy since it's $.30 an ounce! They only have 2 cup sizes - medium and large. There are about 8 different yogurt flavors [I didn't really count bc I was too excited] and a plethora of toppings. My verdict on the taste: DELICIOUS! The plain yogurt is both sweet AND tart. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Yogurtland is a cute little place and wasn't crowded at all. It's now one of my top favorite yogurt places.

  • Kara L.

Yogurtland in general, is amazing. I will eat it for dinner if able. This particular location loses a star from me because of the staff. One night a girl was having their friends come in at night and pig out on sample cups. They were there feasting when we arrived, and when we left. Where are the managers? Weird. Also, one night we came in about a half an hour before close, and almost none of the toppings had been refilled. So my yogurt, which I like to chew, was pretty lame. whomp whomp. Oh, and they didn't have the water out, like normal. The one in J-town is better, and usually has better flavors, but alas, this is close. Other than that, it is Yogurtland, it's hard not to love.

  • Melisa M.

Used to come here at least three times per week...things have changed...place has gone down hill. Grimey kids all over touching machines with dirty hands and mouths while their parents pay no attention or do not care. Place smells like bleach yet doesn't seem like its been clean for months. I always knew this is what it would eventually come to. Back to Pinkberry I go, might not have a great selection but always clean. Self Serve seems like a great idea, but just too unsanitary for me.

  • Thomas H.

Love it, love it, love it. They have all these fun flavored self-serve yogurts and you pay by the ounce. Four of us went there after doing a hike and it all cost less than $12. In LA, four people can't enjoy any kind of desert for under $12, especially with the portions we pigged out on. And the flavors are so great that you'll want to come back to try more. All in all, I thought it was great.

I think this place killed my frozen yogurt obsession. Or at least left it in a coma until I can find a better convenient location to get my fill. I'd rather pay $5 for quality than $3 for mediocrity, any day of the week (other than the Thursday before payday, when I probably don't have five dollars left). Yes, it's cheap, at least it would be if they didn't only provide massive tubs. It encourages you to get more sweet stuff than you need and even after throwing away half-eaten containers more than once, when it comes to silky smooth fro yo my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Or not so silky fro yo, since some varieties taste rather icy and not at all satisfying. Whatever, all that I can deal with. I can't deal with yogurt that while unusually flavored and festive (who wouldn't want some pumpkin pie yogurt at the end of November?), is so obviously full of sugar. Ugh. Frozen yogurt is supposed to be delicate. If I wanted to be beaten over the head with heavy flavor and calories I'd just eat ice cream. I want nuance damn it! Why can't they deliver? Oh, and the people who work here sort of suck. At least the few I've interacted with. Once I had to walk around the counter until I could see the employees, after calling for them multiple times so I could pay rather than just walk out with a freebie, in order to get one of them to finally oh-so-casually stroll to the register. Gee, thanks.

I believe this yogurtland on sunset has more flavors than other yogurtlands around the LA area. Its cheaper than pinkberry and red mango. Cannot commit to say they are better than their competitors on taste but on the price. OF COURSE

I go to yogurland about once a week. I've had pinkberry, menchies, and other yogurt joints...but Yogurtland is my favorite. Why you ask?. Cause its the least expensive. Not to mention the most flavorful.

  • Scylis A.

So the yogurt is good, but the toppings were a mess. I mean, there were things mixed in different places. There was only one person working, and he was the cashier. The floors were pretty dirty. Conveniently, as it was my turn to be rung up, another customer came up to notify the cashier about of the yogurt flavors being empty. The cashier, just turned around and grunted, didn't even excuse himself from our transaction. Definitely lacking the customer service skills here.

Yogurt LAND? More like Yogurt HEAVEN! Dude. This place is THE SHIT. I had no idea what to expect from this place. I was thinking it'd be just like Pinkberry. But, boy, was I wrong. I'll break it down for you Yogurtland virgins. So you walk in, get some sample cups (and way overfill them if you are anything like me). Then partake in one of the like, 20 different flavors of yogurt. Then, you take a large cup, decide which flavor(s) you want, fill it up (but leave some room for toppings). Go over to this topping bar and go nuts. YOU get to put the UNLIMITED toppings on your yogurt - anything you want. I seriously wasn't even paying attention to what I was doing. I was like a kid in a candy shop. "Ooooh, oreos" "GOOD GOD, cookie dough balls" "Holy shit, caramel sauce" "Dude, they have lucky charms and gummi bears" "Sweetened condensed milk!" I will have to say that gummi bears and caramel sauce is a weird combination. But, that's the best part. You get to make your yogurt how you like it. Even if you want a coconut-mochi-cheesecake bite topped taro and banana yogurt - you can have it!! And unless you go totally nuts it'll most likely cost you under 4 or 5 bucks (they charge a small amount per ounce). Even if you aren't a huge fro-yo fan, this place is worth a visit for a cheap, tasty treat.

I have always preferred Yogurtland over Pinkberry. I think the flavors they offer here are far superior to those at PB-- less tart and creamier, too. Came into this Hollywood-ish location today because we needed a sweet treat. The order: Red Velvet and cheesecake mix w/ cookie dough, white chocolate chips and a little dutch chocolate w/ graham cracker. SO GOOD. I really like the variety and most importantly, the prices are super low compared to some of the other places. I walked out of there happy with only $2.10 in damage. It's definitely the location to go to in the area, as the La Brea location is smaller, has no inside seating, and no parking. I should have scurried over here earlier to try the Pumpkin flavor before they got rid of it, but alas, I did not so I'll have to live vicariously through Anthony N., my most yogurt-savvy Yelp friend.

Oh noes, I've succumbed to the yogurt craze. I was all about Pinkberry (please, don't tell anyone) then my brother took me to Yogurtland. They charge 30 cents per ounce?! Gettaouttahere... Plus, not only did they have the yummy plain tart yogurt that I had grown addicted to, but they had A GAZILLON other flavors too! I was quite adventurous and tried the tart peach yogurt. What a find that was! During the holidays, they had peppermint flavored yogurt. I was smiling all the way home. A few steps away from the 10+ yogurt stations is the toppings bar. They split it into two sections: fruit and everything else. I like everything else (which includes mochi!), but I got trigger happy with the fruit. I think by the time I paid, my ratio of fruit to yogurt was something around 3:1. Careful, now. You pay by the ounce, but step back once your cup is brimming with strawberries galore. Like mom says, "You can always go back for more." And I will, mom. I will. Note: The parking is tight here, but I usually park next door at OSH. Shhhh, they haven't said anything yet.

After a long morning hike at Runyon I always cruise to this yummy yogurt spot in my 'hood. It's only 30 cents an ounce! I have never spent more than $3.50, and that's like a retarded amount of yogurt anyway. I find it superior to pinkberry due to a variety of flavors (peanut butter, y'all! jesus!) and the whole self-serve aspect. They give you taste-test cups, too, so if you ever want to change your flavor, you have plenty of chances to get the right one. I love that they have berries the most. Blackberries, blueberries, sometimes raspberries. I can literally make a meal out of Yogurtland every time I go. So if I ever say, "let's do lunch!" then you'll know where to find me.

I cannot believe I never reviewed this. I just moved out of H-wood a couple months ago so I haven't been here in a while (*queue the withdrawals*) but a girl never forgets good ice cream. I mean, the froyo itself is not phnemonanal ... having tried the expensive "organic" froyo of 21 Choices has definitely set the bar a little higher. But you cannot beat the price. I usually get a pretty decent size serving for 2.50, including a boat load of strawberries. The flavors are both bountiful and delicious. And the staff is both apathetic and stoned, which makes them all the more entertaining. There's a few froyo places on my walk to work in DTLA. But they're $5 a cup. Having paid half that for MORE froyo definitely creates a hesitation. PLUS my favourite thing about eating frozen yogurt is the illusive "fat free" title. I feel slightly healthier as I go soaring into the evening on a fairly intense sugar high. Oh marketing! I'm such a sucker for thee.

My favorite yogurt joint for sure, although the self always poses a concern because my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Great flavors, and topping. I do not like the the people that hang around talking at the machine wasting valuable time, or the rude and homeless that come in and eat while hiding around the corner like junkies. (this happened several times) Still all very easy overlooked for that sweet creamy goodness.

  • Elinor F.

Okay, I would LOVE to give this place 5 freakin' stars, but for the past couple days it's been SUCKY! The yogurt is always good, don't get me wrong, BUT some of the cereal was stale, and whenever I asked someone for help they just continued walking past me as if I was damn straight invisible! WTH! Oh, people need to hold onto their kids!! I defiiiiiiiiiiiinitely agree with Sue Z. when she mentioned the "screaming, out of control children." So back to the cereal. I noticed that they keep the cereal in clear containers. I don't think that's a great idea because cereal DOES EXPIRE & I don't think they're monitoring that. Oh, the workers are so lazy that they can't clean up the spill tray & the area around it. I will take a picture the next time I'm there. So, there's NOTHING wrong with the yogurt, but the help need to actually HELP, check for expired cereal, & post signs to control demon children! I think I'll go to another Yogurtland. *sigh.

  • T M.

I've been to yogurtland's all over but the last 2 times I've been here, they're very stingy with the sample cups. Last time, as a group of 4, she hands us 3 cups. When I asked for a few more, she said to share! OK, yuck! No thanks! The flavor selection is good- I love the red velvet cake and taro! They tend to be more wattery and melt faster than at other locations, but overall, it's OK!

After being such a devoted and addicted fan of the same chain at Irvine, I walked in with high expectations. However I noted that this places yogurt was too icy, and not creamy enough which kind of ruined the taste. I would normally give it 5 stars, but now I am going to minus 1 for not being consistent with the Irvine store. However it is really nice to have a Yogurtland in Hollywood. Great location for before/after clubbing. Parking on the street is limited, so I would just park in the Osh parking lot which is 1/2 a block to the right of Yogurtland.

Delicious! The choices are endlesss for yogurt (Much better than pinkberry). The toppings are great as well. The only downside I have to the toppings is that they don't have as many fruit choices as Pink berry. I love that they are open pretty late as well.

  • Aya T.

I always wondered what was up with this place, the locations on La Brea and Downtown are always packed when I drive by. I love the self serve idea where you can choose how much yogurt you want, mix up the flavors and add your own toppings. The manager gave us some sample cups to fill up so we could try some of the flavors before making our final decision. I loved the Strawberry and Plain Tart flavors and added some fresh Blackberries on top. I filled my cup up half way and added about 6 berries... $2.02 total with tax. Beat that Pinkberry!

  • Leeman P.

This place is awesome, I love any food joint that sells their products by weight. I can't give this place 5 stars though. I used to live in Sacramento and they have a place like this, but it's called big spoon. First the price is a bit cheaper, and the selection of toppings is about 10 times larger. They have an entire, 12 foot wall dedicated to candy toppings. It is almost a religious experience. Yogurt Land is great, but only since I am not going to drive 350 miles for a delicious cold treat.
