Tin Fu Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Lived in the area most of my life and this has always been one of my go-to spots. Food is not too greasy, always FRESH, and consistantly delicious. Family owned and operated, super friendly, plus they deliver! Place is nothing fancy but always looks clean which is not always the case for these smaller mom n pop places. Tin fu...I love you!

Go early or late -- it's a small place and it's usually packed. Giant plates of very good food, and it's inexpensive. I have liked everything I've tried, except the Kung Pao chicken. It wasn't spicy at all -- no peppers. It was good, but not correct. Recommended: white meat chicken sizzling rice soup; General Chicken.

Great food. Great prices. Good hole in the wall kind of place. The pork buns were amazing. Friendly service and very good food. The fried rice was perfect. Flavorful but not too salty or dry. The price was very reasonable. I thought for what I got the pricing was lower. Big plates. Highly recommend this place.

We usually get delivery from a different restaurant but this place seemed promising due to the reviews. I ordered the combo fried rice, salt and pepper ribs and Mongolian beef. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, but when we were about to eat it, the Mongolian beef had melted through the container and was all over the bag. I called the restaurant asking to be refunded the amount of the Mongolian beef or send another one and the lady on the phone said that it should be good to eat, just scoop it out of the bag. WTF!!! I then said that it is unacceptable and will not be eating this. She then said the driver will return to get the food. 2 hours later.. Nothing. Will definitely not order from this business again.

Food was Ok.... Ordered prawns with green beans ... They were overcooked didnt like them, fried rice was alright needed a lil more flavor for my liking, egg rolls were delicious. I ordered for delivery, it took them about 1hr 15 min to get to my house, when their restaurant was 5 min away( i could not go pick up cuz i was working at home with no car to move around) they gave me the wrong order and the delivery guy came back and traded my food after i had already searched trough the wrong one.... Sorry for who ever's food i looked through....def would not order from them again.

Great walnut shrimp! We usually order delivery. Very great portions and plenty vegetarian options. I loved the eggplant with garlic! great sauce and not too spicy! It is just right!

No complaints! Their food is very fresh, presentation is nice, and it taste so full of flavor. We did the family dinner A, and substituted to of the items for the lemon chicken and honey walnut shrimp. Definitely get the walnut shrimps if you have not!

Best Chinese food in the east bay!! EVERYTHING is delicious, the owners & employees are so nice & willing to accommodate any request. I'm about to move out of the area & Tin Fu is one of the things I'm going to miss most!

I enjoy the food but hate the ridiculous wait. Tin Fu makes pretty great food -- not too heavy and generous portion sizes. BUT THE WAIT! Tin Fu is 15 minutes, at worst, from my house. For the last 3 consecutive delivery orders, I have waited over and hour and twenty minutes. It's beyond insane. I think 3 times is enough -- I am always eating their food while extremely hungry and frustrated. I won't order again.

This down star rating is only for today's order/delivery experience. I have ordered from here about 5x now, all delivery. My order of a diet soda was missed. So the delivery guy gave me back the money for it FROM the tip i just gave him! REALLY? I asked to have the soda deducted from the credit card payment. He didnt seem to understand. He offered to come back, and i was like really for just a can of soda? I shouldve just had him do that. It wasnt my fault. Anyway, when you order online, you have the option to tip. Dont know who that tip money goes to so i have always tipped the delivery guy. Since he technically gave me some of the tip money back, doesnt make sense to help out the delivery guy anymore. Hope the Restuarant reads this, and deducts the money from my order! Also, today;s order was eggplant in garlic sauce with steam rice and prawns with black bean sauce. Do not order the prawns with black bean sauce, its literally small sized shrimp and about 6 pieces of them. The rest is flooded with sauce and veggies. Might as well place this under vegetarian and forgo the "prawns". There are other orders on their menu I do like, i just wont order the prawns anymore.

I ordered from here using there online delivery option, it was extremely easy to use and very fast I ordered and the food arrived in 30 mins, the food was so good, and huge portion and very affordable! It tasted fresh and not super salty or greasy. My husband and I will definitely be eating here again!

I personally like seafood dishes @ Chinese restaurants, so they are my gauge. I swung by yesterday for the first time and tried the sizzling prawn dish with scallops & vegetables under their Seafood Section. However, consistent w/ the other reviewers' comments, their prawn dishes are definitely not commendable. I'd venture to call it inaccurate. There were 3 small pieces of shrimp and 3 small pieces of scallops. For an entree named to be a seafood dish, I was baffled. I can't speak for any other dishes. The restaurant was seemingly busy during early Sunday dinner, as the to-go orders and patrons were in queue. This resulted in my order taking 30 minutes - also, not commendable.

So I went against my will and try this place based on its reviews. Sadly I was disappointed. The food was disgusting and I wasted my money.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants since I've moved to hayward. It's a little pricey for the amount of food you get, but the food taste good. I would recommend the schezuan (sp?) prawns.

I love ordering out from this place! As a vegan I know that they make an amazing salt and pepper tofu. It's a little spicy with the jalapenos and onions that they put on top of it but it is delicious. My fiancé gets the Kung pao chicken every time and he's never been disappointed.

  • Natalie F.

I freaking love this place - it's nice having a Chinese restaurant nearby that delivers, and the food has consistently been top shelf. I'm partial to the Salt & Pepper Chicken and Egg Rolls. Reasonably priced and delicious!

So sad to update this review. Ordered four dishes last night: egg rolls, Mongolian beef, shrimp with green beans and chow fun. We ordered online and an hour later when the food still hadn't come I called to inquire about it. The woman who answered the phone was very nice, apologized and said they would be here in 15 min. When the food hadn't arrived 30 min later I called back. She said they were on their way and my food arrived 20 min later. Almost 2 full hours we waited for our food. When we got it, it was so hot that it melted through the plastic boxes and was a puddle in the bag. We received only 3 of the 4 egg rolls and the rest of the boxes were barely full. The food we did get wasn't bad so I'm giving them 2 stars.

Had delivery service to my home. Took forever (about an hour) and they are less than a mile away from me. The items I ordered were pretty basic. Walnut Prawns, BBQ Pork Rice and Sweet and Sour Pork. I would have to say it wasn't awful and sure wasn't good. I would also like to add that Panda Express would be slightly better than this place. I was starving for some Chinese food and was lazy and just had it delivered. I guess you get what you pay for. I will not be ordering from this place ever again.

  • Amber R.

Ordered online and had to call after 1-1/2 hr (30min after estimated delivery time) and they said that the driver already left. Their restaurant is 10min away from my house. 20 minutes later, still no food. Would be ok if they called to check-in, but waiting and waiting, is not ok. As a side note, I ordered the fish soup last time. :-p... very fishy smell, like bad fish. I threw it away. Thought the other food was ok, so ordered again, sans the fish soup. Will not be ordering delivery from them in the future.

Cheap Chinese that is slightly lower in quality then Panda Express, IMHO. The portions are generous, but the meat was chewy and questionable. Went for dinner Friday at 7ish and by the time we left, it was packed. Honey walnut prawns- the shrimp was deep fried with lots of batter, but not untasty.. just different. There was only 3 walnuts, but the sauce was good. Combo fried rice- skip it.. really. It had no taste other then soy sauce. I had trouble identifying the meat. Tomato beef chow mein- No tomatoes, just swimming in a ketchup sauce. Green beans with beef- more onions then green beans. Peppery sauce base. Over cooked beans. Orange chicken- a little too much corn starch that ended up congealed to the deep fried chicken pieces. Don't get me wrong, the food is edible, but the quality is not that good. I'd rather get takeout from Asia Delight or the other Chinese fast food places. One thing I will mention is that a family of 5 came in and clearly didn't speak any English. The owner asked one of her regular takeout customers to help them translate. The lady translated that they just immigrated from Guatemala and haven't found work yet. They order two dished to share between the 5 people (2 adults, 3 kids) and continues to chat with the lady. At the end of the meal, the lady's takeout order is ready and she pays for the families dinner also. So sweet. The momma was crying the rest of the time there. Love random acts of kindness.

I must say that I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food because I appreciate Thai food batter. However, my husband and I ordered delivery from this place (for some reason we both had a taste for Chinese food). We Yelped "Chinese Food" and Tin Fu was #1...so we tried it and I'm soooo glad that we did!!!! This place was really, really good. I am such a fan, we had it twice within two weeks!!!! They were pleasant over the phone, the delivery didn't take overly long and when the food came, it was still hot and so good!! We had the veggie rice, dry fried ribs, chicken and veggie dish and a spicy chicken dish. They were all really tasty and I can't wait to try other dishes! I will say this one thing, the salt and pepper chicken tastes as if they forgot the salt and pepper. But it's okay, everything else was great! Your friend, OB

It's OK. American style Chinese food. Fast to go place. Not recommend if you'd like some "genuine" Chinese cuisine. However, it's okay for a casual meal.

So...a little over four months ago I ordered from Tin Fu. The delivery was fast which was great, but the food was just ok. That day, I ordered the orange chicken and walnut shrimp lunch specials. The orange chicken was soft and not crispy enough and drenched in too much sauce. The walnut shrimp was heavily coated with a mayo-like batter which overpowered the shrimp. Fast forward to today: I was hungry and wanted good chinese food. I looked on Yelp and saw this place again. I'd already steered clear of this place because of my last order here and tried somewhere else, but that place was the absolute worst. The food, the service, just everything was horrible. The food was cold, barely edible and tasted way too salty. I didn't want those guys again so I decided to try this place again based on the great reviews, generous lunch specials, the chow mein and egg rolls. And for such a great price, I knew I had to give this place another chance... I knew I was going to want more to eat than just chow mein and egg rolls and try something other than orange chicken and walnut shrimp; so I decided to see what other Yelpers liked/suggested. After a long time of looking over photos and reading insightful reviews, I finally decided on the General Tso's Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Ordering was fast and easy,I ordered straight through the Yelp app. And since I only live about a mile away and the lunch rush was nearly over( It was 2:30pm), the delivery guy made it to my house fairly quick. When he arrived, the food was hot and everything tightly packed. And although it was a pretty big order everything seemed to be there. The delivery guy was also nice and professional. :) On to the food: When I opened the General Tso's plate, steam came rising from the plastic box and I could tell the glazed chicken was freshly prepared. This chicken dish was the bomb! It reminded me of the orange chicken from Panda Express but better because it was a little spicy. The mongolian beef was also really good. The meat was nice and juicy and well marinated. The only thing was that I thought it came with green bell peppers AND onions, but instead it only came with onions. This was no big deal, because it still was delicious and had just the right amount of flavor. Another good thing was that the beef wasn't overly salty, because at some places it can be. Overall, I would say I'm very pleased with the service and food I recieved from Tin Fu today. I'm happy I gave this place another try and I look forward to ordering from here again. :)

Nothing special about this place as this is Americanized Chinese food and nothing on the menu is authentic. My order was for take out and after I paid was told that it would take 10 minutes for my food. After waiting patiently ffor 30 minutes, I noticed patrons that just walked in were already eating their food. I asked who I think was the owner (she also took my order) if my food was ready and she said that the kitchen was backed up. I then saw her run back to the kitchen and I heard her yell to the chef 3 times in Cantonese to make my pan fried noodles. After another 5 minutes my order was finally ready. The only redeeming thing about this place is that they do give you a whole lot of food. I ordered 3 items, their house specialty spicy garlic sauce chicken, dry braised string beans, and HK style Chicken pan fried noodles. All pretty much had the same taste and had chili oil cooked into the food. I didn't notice until I got home that since they were so much in a rush to make my noodles they tossed it super hot right into the plastic container. It was so hot that it melted and the plastic cracked thus all the sauce seeped through into the rest of the bag. I will never go back to this place as she lied to me about why my food took so long rather than stating that they just forgot and that they were sorry.

Great food, friendly service, fair prices. I had the salt and pepper pork with half chow mein half friend rice. Pork was deliciously fried and crunchy on the outside, the chow mein was great, the fried rice was just fair but overall great place!

What a great find... We had: Mongolian beef: spicy and fresh Salt and pepper: spicy batterie goodness Oh... Not to forget the fresh tasting beef wonton soup. Excellent! Yes it is a "whole in the wall" place. Some of the BEST eats can be found in places like this. All the Chinatowns in the B.A. could learn from the flavors they are putting out here. Extra marks for it being a family ran place too.

Great food ,great prices and over sized plates. Only down side is next time I will ask for them to use less oil. :)

  • Sagar A.

Very misleading, visited today for takeout, food was ordinary, nothing special. Furthermore, its not what they promise in their menu for lunch combo. Even the picture of the 'girl' they are using for marketing as "first look" for this restaurant is fake (uploaded from Marivel N. has no other review on Yelp other than for Tin Fu).. Why would someone create account in 2012 and just have ONE AWESOME review until 2 years and also upload a child's picture and log off from YELP for ever ?? hard to be real).. Nice cunning Asian marketing strategy. This family run place is in business for option with home-delivery which is a booster, thus +1 star for this place.

Pretty good. Good portions for the price. It was tasty, but they put a lot of veggies with the proteins. I ordered kung pao chicken and there were so many onions and zucchini... Not enough chicken. The noodles are the best!

Great chinese food and delivery is convenient and fast. One of the few places in Hayward that delivers good food. I am a regular lunch delivery customer and delivery is always just an hour away from when I order. They will put the tip on the credit card for you, so there is an extra convenience factor. Lots of custom options too- so if you ask for "extra this" or "hold the that" or "whatzits on the side" they have no issues- and they always get it right! This place is a hidden gem, trapped in a hayward location.

Why were you hiding from me for so long!!?! Typically, the Partner in Dining (PID) and I drive up to Oakland or elsewhere for Chinese food. This little secret was literally around the corner. I love their affordable and generous portions! I had dinner, then lunch and dinner for the following day. The restaurant is small, and reminds me of my overall favorite place I went to growing up (sadly, Ho mei do is closed). PID and I walked in and were greeted by a lady who was busily taking orders on the phone, and entertaining the other diners all at the same time. Everyone seemed to be regulars. The lady was asking all her customers about how the projects at work were going and what their children were up to at school. The menu has so many combination specials.I got a little overwhelmed, but finally decided to just get the sweet and sour pork dinner combo that is accompanied by rice and chow mein. Did I mention, I really LOVE noodles? I consider them to be their own food group; I really enjoyed Tin Fu's noodles. I definitely recommend this spot for dine in or take out. Affordable food, huge portions, and leftovers that will feed you the next day. Until next time, I hope you get a good fortune in your cookie!

Order placed at 5:11, delivery at 6:50. Over 90 minutes. My house is two miles away from the restaurant. No call to advise me that there would be a delay, nothing. The driver said he was caught in an accident on a local street, but the owner did not relay this to me despite actually calling the driver while I was on the line. The hot and sour soup was surprisingly still hot. It was also extremely mild. The bbq pork fried rice was cold and mushy. The pork buns were mushy and bland. I won't be eating at, or placing an order with this restaurant again. Extremely disappointed.

Nothing over $10 so it's cheap, but SLOW cooks. Oh god, we were so hungry. Our first dish came 20 minutes after we ordered, our second dish came 10 minutes after we ordered, and this is something we are not used to at a chinese restaurant. Chinese is supposed to be fast. Not only was it slow, but the food wasn't that great either. FOOD: * Good salt and chicken fried rice (4/5) $7 - addicting, the only good dish that stood out * West lake beef soup (3.5/5) $6.28 - huge portion! but it needed more egg and beef * Seafood sizzling plate (3/5) $8.50 - more veggies than seafood -__- * Mongolian lamb (3/5) $9.50 - just ok OVERALL: Cheap but average food, dirty place, slow cooks. Looks like people only come here for their huge luge special portions, but I don't think I'd come back.

Your average grease Chinese restaurant. I have eaten real Chinese food. This is what you call Panda express Chinese.

  • Electra K.

I love the food but the last few times with delivery have been really bad. Horrible communication and our food was never delivered. We'd call and theyd pick up the phone but never speak. We tried calling to cancel and they kept doing the same thing. When they did pick up they told us the driver just left each time! Horrible.

  • F A.

for $10/ a lunch plate, which included fried rice and chow mein and sweet and sour ckn. and the 2nd plate the same rice/mein with honey walnut prawns. it's a little over priced for not having that chinese food flavor. maybe it's a good thing, since they don't use msg or too much salt and extra seasonings. but i probably will not be going back here. Service is really nice. lady was super nice over the phone and the same in person when I came to pick up the food

  • Matthew F.

Not "as good as it gets" but what I can say is that for the price you pay, the quality and the portion of food is very very hard to beet. If you are local to this place, consider it your go to for good sit down or take out Chinese (if you stay and eat, you get a very good sweet and sour soup that is not for to go orders)

    (4)
  • Licet P.

Wow! Placed order online - no problems, our order was delivered promptly. The broccoli beef, eggplant, & lemon chicken dishes were amazing! Can't wait to order again or stopping by the restaurant. If you're craving Chinese - this will not disappoint!

I picked this place by going by the yelp star ratings. I ordered a tray of combo chow mein. Pretty good quality of meat and super friendly. I am definitely going back when I visit Hayward.

This place is by far my favorite Chinese Restaurant. Not only do they make amazing tasting food but the owner knows how to take care of her customers and has an amazing memory. I have been coming here since they opened and now that I go there so often, she knows my orders even when I call by phone. I have been here for both Lunch and Dinner and the great thing is that because she is so customer focused, she allows for substitutions and makes everything right to make sure you are happy with your meal. I will continue going here and best of all.... this place is cheap!!!

The food was excellent. The prices at first seemed a bit much but the amount of food you get is definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place it tasted great and the Hunan lamb was excellent.

  • Yeh F.

Really, 4 stars? Maybe it's because there's a lack of choice here in Hayward but this place is worse than any 3 star Chinese restaurant in San Francisco. Roast duck was plain dry instead of juicy as it should be. Dry fried ribs was just full of boniness. Walnut prawns had way too much breading and not enough shrimp, plus not really crispy and unusually sour. Beef fried rice was the only decent thing, but how hard is it to fry rice?

Yes yes yes. Tried this place for the first time today because they delivered. I had another go to delivery place that was fine and decided today they could not find my house, that theyve been to 5 times. So after waiting, starving for my food, I had to find another place to deliver since I was craving chinese and my car is being worked on! I order pretty americanc hinese food- any citrus chicken with chow mein. I got lemon this time, came with an eggroll, I ordered a small cup of hot and sour and potstickers too, since I figured I was trying a new place, and a coke, ALL FOR 16 BUCKS. Love chinese. They were here in TWENTY MINUTES! DO YOU HEAR THAT GREAT RIVER CHINESE?! 20 MINUTES THEY FOUND ME NO PROBLEM! Ive had fancier chinese food, but this was good for a hole in the wall little spot. The potstickers werent my favorite but Ive read other reviews that say they are that persons favorite, so I think its me, not them. I dont hate them, I just like the ones like, gasp, Panta express, lol.. I know I know.. Anyways, I was so happy to see the delivery driver after dealing with the idiopts at the other restaurant. and he even said happy new year, very nice and polite! Tipped him 6 bucks and he looked kinda surprised... Thanks Guys!

Yes, I am still a HUGE FAN! However, I had to drop a star because the last time I was in I had called in an order and was told it would take 25 minutes. I came in 30 minutes after placing the call and when I arrived only half of it was done, I waited an additional 15 minutes before I had order in hand and was out the door. The food was still hot and delicious, yet I'm worried that with this new online service they offer it's pushing them over the limit. I noticed they had stacks of orders on the counter, phone orders and only one waitress managing in house orders on top of it all. I think I may wait a month or two before I go back in, hopefully by then it would have sorted itself out.

I ordered delivery from here for the first time a couple weeks ago. I LOVE the fact that you can order online! That's what I did and it was delivered pretty quickly and tasted hot and fresh. I ordered: foil wrapped chicken, pot stickers, snow peas mushroom and water chesnuts vegetable dish, bbq pork chow mein, beef chow fun, some prawn dish [I can't remember which] The pot stickers were astoundingly excellent. Probably the best I have ever had, so that counts for a lot in my book. The prawn dish had good flavor, but they weren't very generous with the prawns, there were a TON of veggies in it. Which isn't a bad thing, but I paid extra for a prawn dish, and now I wish I didn't get an additional veggie dish, you know? bbq pork chow mein was really really amazing, and I don't even usually LIKE pork chow mein, but I loved it. HOWEVER. the beef chow fun, usually my favorite dish, was just not that great. The beef in it was pretty decent, but the noodles were just...weird. Like oddly firm and made for terrible terrible leftovers. And could they have used any more bean sprouts to fill it out? would it have been possible? So all in all, amazing potstickers, incredible chow mein. I give it a 4 rather than five stars because of my underwhelming beef chow fun and not very many actual prawns in the prawn dish.

I finally found authentic Chinese food in Hayward! This was a very exciting day for my tummy [: For $7.10 I got an order of their beef chow fun (flat/wide rice noodles stir fried with bean sprouts, green onion, regular onion, and beef).. It was enough food for 2-3 single meals depending on how big of a portion you like so that worked out great for me! The employees speak Chinese as well so you know it's legit all the way.. I didn't know how to say beef chow fun in English, I only knew the name of the dish in Cantonese so luckily the waitress was able to communicate with me in both Chinese & English over the phone.. I understand much more than I am able to speak but it was helpful that she was fluent in both languages.. They don't speak broken English here so that's refreshing for customers who aren't Chinese [: I would definitely come back here again and again.. Bonus points for free delivery (minimum order of $20)!! Be sure to ask for a takeout menu if they don't offer one to you upon your visit, there are coupons on the bottom for free items on orders exceeding certain dollar amounts.. - 1 free can of soda for orders $20+ - 2 free cans of soda for orders $30+ - 4 free egg rolls for orders $40+ - free chicken fried rice or chow mein for orders $50+ **Coupons valid on pick-up orders only**

Today I decided to order delivery which is my second time eating from here. The last time I enjoyed it, so I figured I'll try it again. I called and gave my order the lady was very nice taking the order. I wanted to try all the hype I here about their walnut prawns. Well when I got my order I have NEVER ate prawns that I had to really chew. The prawns was so tuff to eat, it was awful! The sauce really had no taste. I ate 2 or 3 and into the Garbage it all went. I was so disappointed. Other restaurants I've tried and it was so good. So now I know the honey walnut prawns is NOT!! gonna be on my list. What a waste!!

Average Chinese food. The plus is that they deliver. Don't order when you are starving, because it does take them forever to deliver your food. I was told it would be 45mins...I ordered at 7:45p they arrived at 920p.

Is it me or does their food taste extremely weird? Like, not like other Chinese places. Their food tastes off. I know every place has their own way of cooking, but this is past left field. They are friendly tho which is a big plus to me.

Food is not that good. I read the reviews and thought I should try it out. Man what a bad idea! Spent around 75 bucks for dinner and the food did not taste good at all. Mongolian beef was not spicy and did not taste like Mongolian beef either, just tasted like beef onions and garlic. The fried rice seemed a little cold and all the shrimp was placed on top like they forgot to add it during cooking. My shrimp egg foo young had more cabbage then shrimp and did not have no sauce! Moreover, my chow fun was bland like the fried rice and had shrimp when I ordered chicken! Not ordering here again should've ordered at rose garden. Smh

Finally decided to try Tin Fu after all these years. I was expecting better food. I ordered over the phone for delivery. That worked out just fine. They took credit card over the phone and the driver was prompt and friendly. NOW.. I love me some Chinese food, and granted good Chinese is hard to come by but this place just let me down. The pot stickers were hard and dried out like leather. The asparagus with bbq pork had more fat than pork. ( Asparagus and sauce was good though). The general tsou chicken was over battered and overcooked. the chicken was hard dry and stringy. The fried rice was ok but a little clumpy. And EVERYTHING was Hella salty!! However the combination egg foo yung was delicious. I like the way they delivered the egg foo yung and the gravy in separate containers. Tin Fu failed to impress. Next time its going to be Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant on Tennyson. They rock.

The best tasting Chinese Food I've tasted ever, I had the honey walnut prawns, schezwan chicken and fried rice. Can't wait to try other items, very tasty food with an abundance of flavor. A must to try, you'll feel the same.

Love it! I'm still trying to decide which chicken dish I like because they drench most of them in sauce. I CRAVE THEIR CHOW MEIN!!! Dishes we've tried and loved: walnut prawns, broccoli beef, chow fun, sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, szechuan chicken, fried rice, egg flower soup, chow mein, mongolian beef.

The food came in a reasonable time about 30 to 35 minutes. It was pretty good for the price and each item was under 10 dollars. It fed around four people and we ordered four dishes.Overall, I recommend this place if you are looking for a good Chinese delivery.

Mongolian Beef and Chow Mein are ridiculously good. Have not been disappointed yet. They also typically deliver about 15 minutes under their estimated time which is a-okay with me. Love Tin Fu...

Just received my delivery which took 1 hr and 15 minutes and I live less than 3 miles away!!When I placed my order, the lady said it would only take 45 minutes. The delivery guy called me 40 minutes after I placed the order and asked for my address, it took 4 minutes for him to get the correct spelling. It then took another another 30 minutes for him to get to my house. When i called the restaurant, they kept making excuses that they're busy, traffic, etc & that the delivery guy is outside. Um no!!! I'm standing outside and he's no where to be found. They didn't even want to compensate me for all the trouble. Bad customer service! Will not order here again!

  • Emmitt W.

It's alright. I'll give it a second try but maybe eat in next time though. Delivery took about an hour and it is .7 miles from my house. I can run a mile in 10 minutes or less. Just saying. Maybe better in the restaurant because it could be flawed by delivery time.

Shrimp fried rice , chicken with broccoli, sesame chicken, egg rolls, walnut prawns...all very good. Love being able to place an order right through yelp.

Ordered delivery on a Friday night. Food came after 1 hour and 20 minutes. Place is 10 minutes away. The food was hot and huge portions. However, my family's entire experience with Chinese delivery was ruined when we opened our bag and one of our dishes had completely melted through the plastic container it came in. Now, I realize that another reviewer had the same thing happen to them. Next, food was just way way too salty! We barely finished a quarter of the entrees because it was that salty. This place obviously needs to change their packaging for take out/delivery orders. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Panda Express is at least consistent!

  • Rebecca B.

Surprisingly good flavors and big portions. Service was attentive and the food came out piping hot and one at a time. I was happily surprised that their menu includes ginger beef so I definitely ordered it. It was as good the second day as the flavors had time to meld. It is located in a small shopping center next to another shopping center fairly close to the 92/Jackson St east exit off 880 and was easy to find. Solid delicious, authentic Chinese food. I will be back.

Okay so...I have gone here plenty of times. The food has been great however today my daughter keeps saying they are not wearing hair nets, why is that? I put it out of my mind so I could eat because I have never had any bad experiences with them. Now I don't know if it was because we are on the look out for it which is why we found this but as my daughter is eating her egg roll she happens to look up at me and I look down and she has a long hair in her egg roll. From now on I think I'll just eat at home. Please be aware this can happen ANYWHERE!

Very good. Taste like real asian food. So glad I'm next to them. Cheap for portion size

Awful, and I wouldn't insult America on this food. This is high profit, low quality glop. Many other good Chinese places around, yuck this one is not it.

Had a bad experience at this place twice, the first time I tried it in February of this year and the service was was poor, people were getting the wrong orders. The place was so small that people waiting in line were sitting at or around the tables while myself and other patrons were trying to eat. The food was half decent so I thought I would give it a second chance. My second experience was take out, I picked up the food and went home to find that the BBQ pork order was full of seasoned pork fat. I called and spoke with the owner there and informed her of my order, the lady pretended to not no any english, when I explained to her I've spoken to her before so I know she knows english, she all of a sudden started to speak english. I then told her that this needed to be corrected, her response was next time, when I told her that there would be no next time if I didn't get my money back or an actual order of BBQ pork not seasoned fat. She acted as if she didn't care, so to make a long story short, I will never go back or order anything from this place again.

Best Chinese place in Hayward!! Great service!! Placed my ordered on the yelp app, walked in it was ready, signed for it (since I paid on the app) then was in my way. #PorkBuns #Eggrolls try them

Just had this delivered 30 min ago. The best part of the experience is the Delivery Driver was minimally polite. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered Mongolian beef and what I just forced down was Mongolian fat, yep layers of chewy, flavorless fat. The crispy orange chicken was edible but not memorable. The pot stickers were cold and greasy and no dipping sauce. Worse part is that I'm out $42.00 bucks. Please don't waste your hard earned $$$

  • Mark N.

Looks can be deceiving. Not one of the best looking restaurants in the area but the food is great. I had the crispy Szechuan chicken. When I was finished it looked like my plate wasn't touched. The portion of food was huge. The total came out to $6.75. The waitress was very friendly and very quick to respond. Good price. Good food. Good service. What more can you ask for.

I really do like Tin Fu. The food is good, not TOO greasy and it tastes pretty fresh most of the time. For a hole in the wall Chinese food restaurant they are doing a good job. The delivery is also friendly and about average time (not super quick but not hella long either) The ONE MISTAKE I MADE is going into the actual restaurant!!!! DON'T DO IT!!! I had ordered delivery like 7 times before I ventured into their actual location...I just have to say thank goodness I didn't go in before I ordered b/c I would have turned my happy ass right back around and walked out without ever knowing how good their food is! LOL. It is small, dirty, old and kinda funky looking. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like...but I just went to my Happy Place...took my order and left. oy.

This place was decent, but not the greatest Chinese food I have ever had. My Fiancee and I went here on our way home recently, originally planning on going to Hunan Restaurant in San Lorenzo only to discover that they were closed on Sundays. We had a craving for some good Chinese food, and based on reviews we choose to come here. We arrived and they were very busy, we placed an order to go, General Chicken, Lemon Chicken, an order of Egg Rolls and Vegetable Fried Rice. The woman who took our order said it would be about 20 minutes. We waited in the car I came back after 20 minutes. She then said it would be 5 more minutes, then 20 minutes later we had our food. Granted they were busy, 40 minutes was still a long time to wait for the food. When we finally got the food, we were so excited to have some delicious Chinese food because we were craving it. We rushed home and dug in, the food itself was mediocre, the chicken was like fresh frozen so it was all tough and stringy, the sauce was awesome but the chicken was meh. The eggrolls were average, the fried rice was decent but not great. Overall the the food wasn't great and chances are we won't return for more overpriced mediocre food that takes forever to get.

food tasted great, it was delivered for free in time and quantity was so much .. so why 2 stars? I found metal strands in the food and just lost the appetite. plus the meat was too tasteless and had not soaked the flavor.. not ordering again from here.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! This was a go to spot for me based on quantity nothing spectacular about the taste but atleast it WAS always fresh when you order in atleast, I had a delivery of two combo plates one with sweet n sour chicken rice, chow mein secind with rice dry fried ribs and general chicken. when i opened my first combo plate it looked as if they put someone elses left overs in a box it was literally 5-7 pieces of soggy tasteless sweetn n sour chicken no veggies with an abundance of noodles and mushy ass rice!!! the other plate had literall a scoop of rice with sweet n sour sauce all over my rice, why is it sweet sauce in my order general chicken sauce is not red soooo? the dried fried ribs 5 peices alot of generals chicken however not fresh either!!! Excuse my french we threw that shit in the trash!! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!! I hope u guys read your reviews bcuz u lost a loyal customer! If you cant put out good quality fresh food why the hell are you in business???

I love Tin fu so much!! So far I've tried the walnut prawns, sesame chicken, sweet and sour prawns and they are all great!!!! My favorite is the walnut prawns I came here so much just to eat the walnut prawns that the girl that works there ended up knowing already what I wanted haha. I always used to get the walnut prawns at panda express I was so addicted I seriously had them every day, but when I came across Tin fu then I knew what walnut prawns heaven was really like, It was a hole different story!! Now I HATE PANDA EXPRESS!!!! It's like garbage compared to Tin fu!!! It's like going taco bell and never going to a Mexican restaurant instead!!! LOL!! It's also not bad when you go before 2pm, they have lunch specials and the food is cheaper which is a plus. You can also get a family combo which is more then a individual meal but way more food! And you get a soup, a sweet and sour prawn looking thing and 2 choices of meat I believe. This is all included for the 2 people family combo. And of course your fortune cookie at the end and slices of oranges. Yum Yummmmmmmm. Nom nom nom

I have been eating here since the day they opened! I used to live in the neighborhood but this remains my "go to" for Chinese food. Exactly what you would expect from a good Chinese restaurant. The owner is always nice and she always remembers her clients. I've had several different dishes here over the years and I am always satisfied!

    (5)
  • Angelica D.

The amount of food they give you for $6 is ridiculous! Amazing ridiculous though ;) The owner is so sweet & memorizes your order every time you come in. It may be a hole in the wall but the chefs are great!

  • Danny R.

I come here during lunch like once or twice in a two week span. This place gives big ass portions, and it's cheap as fuck. Food is always cooked great, and since it's always hard to find a great Chinese place that consistently serves great food, I think me and my friends found our spot. The only thing that I cannot stand at all, is that the lady always gives me the check like halfway into my meal. AND. IT'S. FUCKING. ANNOYING. It's always the same lady too. I brought a group of friends to the place and like 5 minutes into our meal, she asks if we are paying separate and individually told us what our price was. It's just very unprofessional and it doesn't sit well with me.

  • Kim W.

Another great hole-in-the-wall of Hayward. I've only been here for lunch and can't believe how much food you get for $5.95. The lady that works there is soooo friendly and accommodating. I wanted to make something that was on the regular menu a lunch special, no problem. I wanted extra veggies, no problem. More ice, no problem. After my 3rd visit, the lady remembered me and now automatically adds extra veggies to my order even when I forget to ask. Awesome! I agree with others re: the lack of spice but that's why they put that jar of sinus-clearing paste on the table. It's a small place so don't be surprised if you end up sharing a 8-top table with other couples during the busy lunch hour.

Funny... I had just moved back to the Bay Area from the Midwest thinking, "Now, I can finally get some authentic ethnic cuisine without a lot of fuss." Boy, did that thought turn out to be way wrong - at least when it comes to Tin Fu... Funny, because on Urban Spoon, those guys had 100% rating when it comes to customer satisfaction... Well, you can mark me down as a 0%... I ordered 2 individual steamed rice with Kung Pao chicken and Szechuan beef - both extra spicy - and an order of egg rolls and pot stickers for my friend and me... I got a nice friendly call that my order was ready while I was on my way to get the order... I came in and the lady handed me a bag and had me sign the credit card authorization... To my surprise when I got home, I opened the bag and found the Kung Pao Chicken was really Szechuan chicken with peanuts sprinkled on top (that's not the Kung Pao I remembered) AND the Szechuan beef was General Tso's chicken and there was only one container of steamed rice... I thought, "Oh, she must've given me the wrong order... Let me call her and I'll go back and get the right one." I call her and she insisted that each entrée was correct, that the Szechuan beef was just cooked in a flour coating (not how I remember Szechuan beef when last I had it in the Bay) and that the Kung Pao chicken was made correctly and that instead of giving us two individual steamed rice, she took it upon herself to give us one large one... So I, in disbelief, accepted what she said... Soon after, my friend ate into the "Szechuan beef" and confirmed that it was indeed General Tso's chicken... I tried to call her back and it seemed she purposefully left the phone off the hook... Unfortunately for her, the store has another number listed on Yelp and I called it and got through... I explained to her that even though it may be Szechuan beef, my friend did not like it and I was returning it for a refund... She didn't offer an alternative; she didn't apologize... She only refused to give a refund for that entrée and kept trying to convince me that it was Szechuan beef... Finally, I just hung up... A whole evening ruined by not getting what I ordered... good luck to anyone else but I am definitely NOT going there again...

love love love! always good customer service, they know my and my boyfriends order as soon as we walk in. I went with my dad once a week, when he passed I stopped going to sometime, almost 2 years. I went back and she still remembered me and where I always like to sit. Always good service when I go, and will be going for a long time.

Delicious, one of the Best in Hayward hands down. I ordered the honey prawns, Hot and Sour Soup and beef chow fun. Expected delivery time was 45 minutes but arrived 10 minutes earlier.

  • Tracy S.

This place is a diamond in the rough...as most of the best Chinese restaurants are. I found it on yelp and came here on my lunch break. I had the salt and pepper chicken lunch combo. It's not on the lunch combo menu but they accommodated my request. It took a little longer then expected for the food to come out. The portions are huge. I took the leftovers home and split it between my daughters for dinner (and they had leftovers). You get soup, fried rice and an eggroll with the plate. All this for $5.98! Very yummy food and the service was friendly too.

  • Lee J.

A well establish restaurant that serves good food with good prices and great ppl running the place. Best Chinese food in Hayward. A small restaurant but worth waiting and sitting in. Wish they served egg rolls with meat in them though. The main lady who seems to own the palace is very Americanize and very nice. She knows whats she is doing and has that un-typical customer service that you wouldn't expect(her being chinese). This is an un-typical restaurant. Different from the average chinese food places you normally encounter. Has 2 kids who know how to run the restaurant as well.

I like this place and the food is OK. It is not very nicely furnished and the top of my tea pot had dust I could write in--but it gets dusty at my house too. It is busy and the food was good. I'll go back. The prices are just great.

  • Kellie T.

Sam S and I came here and odered over $40 worth of food not too long ago because when I go to a new Chinese place, it's Go Big or Go Home. Fried wantons, stir-fry veggies, sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, veggie chow mein, and cashew chicken. Yeah, we had more food than could fit on the table. Service wasn't super attentive, but it was a little busy and the waitress was the only one there. By the end of our meal we'd each had our fill and the boxes we were taking home looked like we had just ordered take out. SO MUCH FOOD. Oh, and it was tasty as hell. Bottom line: I'll be back often. You should go to this little hole in the wall and eat like a king!

    (4)
  • Christina D.

You know what they say the little hole in the wall place is the best Chinese food ever! Been coming here for a few years now and the owner Sue, knows exactly what I want when I walk in. The pot stickers are soo yummy. Try the general chicken and pan fried noodles those are a must. The price is reasonable and depending what time you come in they have lunch and specials and they even have a new dinner special. The last time we ate dinner here my husband and I ordered 2 dinner specials and a side of pot stickers, total came out to be around $25 not bad for all the food you get. I swear I compare every other Chinese place to tin Fu and I have yet to find a competitor!

  • Hung C.

Thought it was good because of the pics posted but the food sucks!!! Wasted $36 on 4 dishes. Honey walnut prawn was too battered. Salt and peppered chicken wing too battered. Chicken and salted fish fried rice missing salted fish, Wtf!!! Peking spareribs was ok nothing special. This place sucks. They should call this place Panda Express. Panda Express sucks but at least i know what I'm getting. Not authentic Chinese food. I wish I can give it a negative star. Gave the food to my dogs. Awwwww!!! I want my $$$ back.

  • Angela M.

The food is always super yummy and the portions are always huge. We have had a few bad experiences with service when they are crowded but other than that it is definitely our favorite place to go. Plus you get the same huge portions of you order to go and that seems to be a more efficient method of ordering when they are super busy.

  • Ashley P.

My co-worker referred me to this place and said it was pretty good. I didn't expect it to be great, but it is. I've gone about four times now and the quality and portion size is consistent. I usually get take-out on my lunch and the place is always full. I've actually referred four other co-workers to Tin Fu and they like it as well. The portion sizes are so large that four of us usually get two lunch specials and we share. I must admit that I was a little turned of by the bad reviews, but personally I found the food to be good quality, excellent price and its delicious. I would definitely recommend to others. I recently had the walnut shrimp and it was super tasty.

  • J G.

Its pretty nasty. All Fried rice dishes are probably brown which tells you they like soy sauce and put it in use a lot. Price is not cheap like people said but yea big portion. Very important reason to get business, but they serve shits here. I know what im talking about ... Actually there is no good Chinese food place around the bay. If you want ok to still delicious food go to Great River. Both owners of the 2 resturants are on hongkongnese style but Great River has flavor other than heavy soy sauce imo. And its pretty funny that some people say: oh only one waitress, food was late to the table, chicken was cold....whatever, this is mainly togo. And the only waitress is prob the owner... You cant be cheap and picky!

    (1)
  • Mycel J.

This place is pretty close to where I live, so it's great for calling in an order and picking it up on my way home. I'll admit, Chinese food is usually comfort food for me so I'll order wonton soup and beef chow fun. I like it, but it's not something that will stick out in my mind. I'm glad it's not too salty. Good for cheap, fast, decent Chinese food.

  • Cynthia E.

Ordered from this place tonight. We wanted good food for delivery that wasn't pizza. Tin Fu hit the spot! The chicken chow mien was very tasty as was the Beef with Oyster sauce with lots of yummy vegetables. The lemon chicken was okay, not what I was expecting, but everything else we got was delicious. I think we found a new chinese place from now on.

This is a Great Chinese restaurant! I got here today,12/16/2013 @ 7:00 PM.I got here because i was craving for some really good Chinese food and my neighbor Asia Delight is just not cutting because wanted some sit down & order place that you will feel comfy and just take your time eating your food.Travelling to Chinatown the city of San Francisco to get Authentic Chinese food is too far away for me and this place is good enough given it's my very first time coming here. The decor was OK but the food!? OMG...You better come here really hungry for the portions is just like Asia Delight's Portion size! I ordered the Yang Chow fried rice for 6.50 + 1 can of sprite,i was not prepared for what I'm about to see: Freshly cooked fired rice enough for 3 hungry people! i finished only half and i cannot even stand up from the table for I was so full! The bill was around $8.00 including the tip. I found my "New Old Standby" and no more need to go to Chinatown in San Francisco for some Authentic Chinese food for i have found it here in my neighborhood!. I'm gonna eat here in the next couple of days on lunchtime and see how the customer traffic work here..Their prices are reasonable but what will get you is the humongous amounts of food and that's basically the only Caveat in this place,The service is good and the staff is attentive.A small hole-in-the wall restaurant so come early if you wanna get some seating for it fills up fast lest you wanna stay outside and wait for other patrons finish,Not for groups more than 6 people eating all together for the space is quite cramped

This is one of the best family owned restaurant in hayward, and possibly the best Chinese food I have ever tasted. I'm a regular here, so they know my face, know what soda I want, and already know what I'm gonna order which is cool. The staff is super super friendly, and sometimes they have their kids waiting the tables. I think thats nice, so I tip both the owner and her kids. The food is great, especially their chow mein. It has so much flavor in it, I don't even eat rice here anymore. Also their fried crab cheese item, they are so delicious. This place has been doing so well since the first time I was introduced to that place which was around 10 years ago, and its still up! Best chinese food ever!

I ordered our food to be delivered. I'm giving this place one star b/c it took over 2 hours to get my food. WTF!? This is my first time ordering. We ordered at 7pm and we had to call 5 or 6 times. We cancelled our order and ended up going to Wing Fiesta. Shame on you Tin Fu!

I don't even like Chinese food-but I'll eat the shit out of some Tin Fu. Everything's really delicious & fresh. All the spicy dishes are spicy to where you can taste the spice, but not too spicy to where people who aren't fans of spicy can't enjoy those very dishes. Everyone I know ONLY eats Chinese from Tin Fu.

    (5)
  • Mary U.

Went here on the recommendation of a co-worker the other night. We ordered beef chow fun and chicken with broccoli. Both were delicious and served steaming hot with chow mein and steamed rice on the side. This dinner for 2 lasted us for 2 and a half meals and cost right around $10. We will definitely be back!

  • Jim C.

This place is normally filled with non asian, but I still come there, imho it's better than panda express. The dining area is small so they are usually packed, so I tend to call in my orders and get it to go. One time I got stuck in traffic and she kept calling me to tell me the food is ready, another time she said it'll take 15 min and when I got there, I still have to wait another 1/2 hour, it's hit/miss. Bottom line, the food is american chinese, which I do crave for at times, and you get a lot for the money, I get plenty for dinner and enough to pack a lunch for the next day.

    (4)
  • Scott L.

This place has good Chinese food, huge portions (I ended up taking more than half home with me), and is very reasonably priced lunch specials. The place is kind of small so it's usually packed. The lady who works there is very nice and she knows that my wife likes extra vegetables so she did the same for me when I asked. My Hunan Chicken could have been a little spicier, but fortunately they put some chili paste on the table so I can make it as spicy as I want.

I was trying really hard to find a good chinese place in Hayward, so I turned to yelp. After reading the good reviews of Tin Fu here, I ordered to go. I got: -Honey Walnut Shrimp -General Tsao's Chicken -Beef Chow Fun The chow fun was pretty much a garden of bean sprouts. I've had better. The chicken was okay. I really enjoyed the shrimp. I guess if this is the "best" chinese food in Hayward, I'd rather not try any where else. :/

So Mom is out of town. Dad and I are on our own all week, and, well We didn't want to leave the house. Thanks to Yelp, we found this gem. Oh my gosh this food is good. Our new favorite Chinese food.

  • Katy D.

Decent food but their customer service knocks them down two stars. They ALWAYS quote 15 minutes on to go orders, expect to wait at least a half hour. I used to show up on time with their quote and would have to wait there 15-20 minutes, now I show up a half hour after I call it in, its usually still not ready but I only have to wait an additional 5 minutes.

Been going here for over ten years and still has good food. Small place but good food at a cheap price. Family owned spot food is best when the husband is cooking. Think there customer base has out grown there "hole in the wall" spot but good food will do that.

Classic mom and pop joint with nice service and great food. Cantonese style the way I like it. Tried the szechwan (spelling?) fish, pan fried noodles with fish, and braised tofu (fried) with veggies. Very saucy and simple with fresh vegetables all around. The price is right and definitely a 5 star place in its category of "hole in the wall" status. If I lived nearby, I would be here in a heartbeat at least once a week.

Great Hole In The Wall for chinese food - cooked by chinese folks... Highly recommend the honey walnut prawns and salt and pepper chicken! They have a $5.95 lunch menu. Generous portion, enough to feed two people!

Best Chinese food in Hayward!! When I worked down the street that was my go to lunch spot. After a while the lady started to recognize my voice over the phone and would know my order. By the time I got there to pick it up it was waiting for me. Best service :)

Just moved to the neighborhood and needed to find a local spot. After a quick search I found this place and read the reviews. Expecting the food and service to just be good, it was great. Above average portions and the food is well prepared and tastes great. Will definitely try again.

Tin Fu is the bomb. Great lunch combo menu. Lots of things to choose from, prices are low, generous portions and food is delicious. Dinner combos have a lot less to choose from, but still a good deal for dinner and still a lot of food and still very tasty. Also, the workers are super nice to everyone, which is an added bonus.

When going out to eat I don't usually go for Chinese restaurants but since this place is near my house and has pretty decent reviews on Yelp I figured to try this place out. The restaurant is compact and could use some redecorating, but the lady working at the counter nicely greeted and seated us quickly so it didn't bother me much. We ordered the Peking spareribs, chicken curry and house chow fun. All three dishes were equally DELICIOUS!! On top of that their smoothies are huge!!They use those to go cups they put a large soup order in as the cup for the smoothies. Must try the other flavors (ordered honeydew which was awesome). Oh and also they are very generous with the food portions so get ready to bring some food home. Of course will come back again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. No frills. Chinese food made by Chinese people. Come here between 11:00am and 3:30pm and grab one of their lunch specials for less than $5.00. If you eat in, you get a hot and sour soup, egg roll, rice, and entree. You will have enough food and leftovers for both your lunch and dinner. I love the chicken they have here. Also, their soups are very good too. Hell, everything's good. Nothing's failed me yet here, and I've been going here since 2002. This place is very busy during the evening dinner hours and all day on the weekends, so plan accordingly! They have a catering menu, where they offer great prices. If you're too lazy to bring something to your work potluck, go here and get something. The sesame and orange chicken entrees are my personal favorites. Also, the hot and sour soup will do you in perfectly on a very cold day. They sell peking duck for about $15.00 and it was very good when I bought it.

All of the positive reviews about this place are unbelievable. Shit food. Bummed that I have to leave one star. Seriously the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. As if bland Chinese food isn't bad enough, there was raw chicken in the fried rice. I had my food delivered, and ended up having to drive all the way there, and ask for my money back- something Ive only done twice in my life. They fought me hard, and only wanted to give me half of my money back because a minimal amount of the food was gone. They lost that fight. The end.

I have been to this restaurant more times than I can count. My problem is that the last several times I ate there the vegetables weren't fresh. Broccoli yellow with age; old, sour tofu; zucchini that tasted horrible enough to spit out, but I couldn't figure out why the zucchini was so bad. The owners are super nice and I give the service an 8 out of 10. I mentioned the broccoli and tofu were bad at the time the dishes were served to us, but I guess the 3rd time with the bad zucchini was the charm. It seems I can't rely on the food to be fresh so I just don't go there anymore.

The food is Americanized, if you are looking for authentic food, do not come here. Although the portion size is very big, and probably ok for a meal if you are hungry.

Prices are extremely reasonable. Ordered take-out from them. 1 order of vegetable chow-mein and 1 order of stir-fried mixed vegetables for $13 including tax. The food was made-to-order and it was fast. What more could you ask for. Definitely coming back.

I love this place! It's been 10 years and I can tell you that only twice have I been disappointed and it's because of some odd reason like the usual chefs were not in. They are personal and wonderful people. This is especially good when you need something quick. I love the Honey Walnut Prawns, Salt & Pepper fish, Chicken & Green beans. It is small so if you have a big party call ahead of time. They'll try to accommodate you.

Love it here! The service is great, the owners and the family members are really dedicated. They remember me =) that is a major plus. I love everything about this restaurant. I have had the chow mein, walnut prawns, wonton soup (mmmmm!), and there hunan chicken. I hope they stay around forever =) !

The Chinese Chicken Salad, was okay at least only the chicken was it was just withered iceburg lettece. I ordered pot stickers they were not good at all. However, the service was good people were really nice. I will try again, an entree next time.

"Hayward in the house!" inside joke with some fellow yelpers. That's what we always scream when were eating in the Hayward area. But anyways, today I needed my MSG fix. So what better way to do it by eating some Chinese food. I passed by Tin Fu many times but never knew what it was. So I drove up close and it said Chinese food, so i wanted to see what this place was all about. Walked inside, we was greeted right away. Sat down and got menus and drinks. Looked at the menu and was surprised on how many items they had. Made our order and the lady brought us some hot and sour soup on the house. Very nice of her, and the soup was pretty good. I just added a little bit of the white pepper and i was good. We ordered the house special chow fun, salted peppered rock cod and the Peking spareribs. The chow fun was very tasty, not greasy at all. It had beef shrimp and chicken all were very tender. I asked for no bean sprouts because i hate bean sprouts. The salted peppered rock cod was made very well. It tasted very crispy and the fish was real flaky. Not too salty just right. The Peking spareribs came out last, i believe it takes a little longer to make. It came out steaming hot, the Peking sauce drenched the spareribs. I took a bite and the spareribs were very crispy and nicely coated with the sauce. Not too sweet just right. Service here was great, i think one of the best service i have ever gotten at a Chinese Restaurant. The lady was like a one person show, she ran the whole front of the store herself. It got real busy and she still managed everything very quickly. Props to her. Overall great spot to grab some lunch or dinner, very cheap and very tasty. 4 Stars for Tin Fu Restaurant in Hayward

For the Chinese (fried) fast food lover this place is great. I personally love this kind of food and this is by far the best I have had in the East Bay. The service and atmosphere are quaint but this place is always pretty busy. There seems to be an enormous amount of return traffic and the owner seems to know and recognize all of the regulars. It is by no means fancy or really upscale, but for what it is, it is easily one of the best.

When I just got out of class around noon and I am hungry what do I do? Head over to Tin Fu for their lunch specials, the price ranges from $5-$8 and can easily feed two people or can be 2 meals. The lunch special comes with eggroll and soup and your choice of fried rice chow mein or plain rice along with your meat choice. Personal favorites of mine are the Genera Tso's chicken and walnut prawns the owners are a mom and dad with the mom waiting and the dad cooking, often the mom has given me complimentary soup when i share a lunch plate with someone very friendly service and huge amounts of food for cheap what more can you ask for? Oh and did i mention the calamari is Out of this world!

I totally LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I used to pass it alot when I was on my way to the San Mateo bridge and laugh because its not tofu...its TIN FU!!!! **laughter in my head** That was until I tried the food. The food is awesome and a good portion is given for the price. The service is great and I have never had a bad experience. I have come to see that the family that owns this place is very eager to make their customers happy...which in turn (as a customer) makes me very happy. Come and try the food because you won't be sorry...unless your allergic to grease and tasty-ness in which case you should go elsewhere. If you're willing to eat a little grease and large portions full of goodnes...then come on down!!!

I love Tin Fu! Don't be fooled by their location on Harder. Their food is great. We decided to try there on a whim and have yet to be disappointed. The owner is super friendly and her young son even helps out. If you're a regular, she knows the usual dishes that you order. I suggest the combination pan fried noodles. That is a definite must! When we phone in our order, she greets us with a smile and says "AWww yesss! You phoned in huh?! Pan fried noodles!?" Yummy authentic Chinese food. Great prices. What more could you ask for?

big portions, cheap, friendly service, food use to be better then kinda fell off, noticed though its improving recently, small place so it can get busy quick, this is what I like about this place, it gets so much business you can assume the food is fresh or turns over pretty quick

Lunch & Dinner set prices are very reasonable. veggies are always fresh and crunchy... i like the pot stickers too, lil bit garlicky though but it taste fine with the sauce that come w/ it. -combo chow mein, combo fried rice, salt & pepper pork, steamed spinach, asparagus w/ oyster sauce, roast duck, sweat & sour pork, steamed cod fish... usually i order either 1 of these evertime i go there. and coz the food here r made to order, u can really taste the food not the oil or other seasonings. service is fast too. the place is small, it get crowded during lunch & dinner time... so we go around 11am or close to 9pm. no matter what time, u still get same fresh and hot ( not warm ) food. so yes! 4get panda express. This place open 7days a week. 4 star only... bathroom access is in the back where the cooks are .. and if u want to wash your hands, they let u wash behind the counter area.

This is your typical Chinese restaurant. It's located in a very bland shopping plaza. The interior is pretty plain and regular. But they do give a lot for your buck, which totally makes up for it. The food is pretty good too.

Seriously, I have fallen in LOVE with this place over the last year. By far the best Asian cuisine I have tasted. Their chicken is to die for. And more than anything, I love the service! The more I go, the more they know me. And I love the days when I walk in, and the lady already knows what I like, and what I want! Always so helpful and sweet! I love the family atmosphere, and it always hits the spot! xoxox

*** edit 09.27.07 *** After many more visits and full stomachs, I need to give it an extra star for having foil wrapped chicken! They don't just have it, they pull it off! It's soooo good! A tiny bit on the salty side, but that's what the rice is for. I don't know of any other place nearby that has it. It was one of my favorite dishes when I was little. The food here is consistently good and you really can't beat their taste/portion/price combo. Sometimes they take a little longer to get your food, but that's what you get with a family run place. Good stuff. *** Original Review *** I recently moved to hayward and this place is pretty close by so we decided to give it a try. It's in the same marketplace as the grocery outlet. At first, we saw the sign for french fries - $1.00 and we thought... uhh maybe we should try somewhere else. French fries at a chinese restaurant? Hmmm... we were hungry, so we went in anyway. It was pretty crowded inside but we got seated right away. We looked at the menu and we had our dad order for us because he speaks cantonese. We had stewed beef (the super tender kind that's often attached to tendons and stuff - they also have it in the beef stew w/ noodle dishes) with veggies, chicken chow fun, and braised tofu with mushrooms. We also got on fried pork bun and one steamed pork bun to try those out. The dishes were all very good. The stewed beef was very good. The beef just melted in my mouth. There was a lot of those tendons attached so if you can't handle non-basic cow parts, you probably want to stay away from that item. The other two items were also very good, but the beef was the best. They also have lamb items on the menu, which I have yet to try. I love lamb so we'll see how they do with those. The pork buns are worth going back for. The fried pork bun is actually deep fried. It's like getting a freshly made jelly donut, except there's bbq pork inside. It's supergood! The steamed one is very good as well. I've gone back a couple of times already just for the pork buns to go. They're a buck a piece. They give you huge portions with the dishes. After we were done, it looked like we barely ate half the stuff we ordered. The prices are very reasonable also. They also deliver for orders above $15.

We ordered take-out based on the yelp reviews, and we were suitably impressed. Most of the ethnic take-away we've had in Hayward has been pretty freakin' disgusting, so we didn't have high expectations. But we ordered the roast duck, fried rice, wonton soup, and sweet and sour pork. The duck was ok, but way overcooked (despite that, we ate every scrap of it, so it couldn't have been that bad). The rice and soup were solid. But the star was the sweet and sour pork. Unlike most S&S sauce, it was thick enough, but not sticky, and it didn't have that sugary sweet aftertaste. We would have liked more pineapple in it (only got ONE piece!) but even that can't dampen the enthusiasm we have for that delicious sweet and sour pork. And I don't even eat pork normally. We would definitely recommend this place, as they were friendly, had quick delivery, and good food.

This place is great! They always serve us tons of food and the plates are overflowing. Ignore the french fries sign because the Chinese food is what you come here for. This place is busy but they are very fast and very polite. I always go there all the time. The prices are great too. Forget going to Panda Express and getting food that sits under a lamp and over some hot water, go to Tin Fu and get the real food. This place also delivers to the nearby Hayward area. A lot of people came in to get to-go orders while I was eating there, I can't believe how busy this place really is. Anyways, this place is great, you got to try it to believe it.

    (5)
  • Aiko L.

not bad! their bbq pork buns (chasiubao) are only a dollar. i just went there today and bought three. don't let that "french fries" sign fool you. the food is pretty authentic. everyone in the back (chefs) speaks chinese, which means you're getting real chinese food. not some panda express/mr. chau's crap.

Tin Fu. I must admit the name does quite a bit for me. Service is always friendly - everyone except the cooks smile all the time. Food is good, not great, but good. Large servings to go and dine in. Reasonable prices. For Hayward I say yes, go there.

  • Rox M.

The food @ Tin Fu is pretty tastey and reasonably priced. I ordered Prawns with String Beans in Black Bean Sauce. It came with steamed rice. It was soooo good. I took it out to go and ate some before I went to class, then I had to take it with me to class so that it wouldn't spoil if I left it in the car, but guess what....I put the container down on the passenger seat while I was driving home AFTER class, and the sun was shining down on it, so by the time I got home, it was spoiled. ;-(((( I was really disappointed b/c it was delicious and I wanted to finish eating it!! I also had to buy pork buns (reason being I paid w/a debit card, and there is a minimum of $10 that you need to spend in order to pay w/a debit [or credit card]). The pork buns were a little dry, acceptable but could have been better. I got a menu, it's very extensive, and I plan to go back w/my family!!

I have been to Tin Fu for on and off for 3 years now. First time I went was with a group of friends, then I stopped for about a year, and went back with a friend of mine and been continously back here since. I usually come during lunch time, LOVE their lunch meals, cheap and HUGE portion. I can never ever finish the food. Its good for 2 meals or 2 people. Check this out, when you ordered out of the lunch menu, it always comes with a bowl of soup (hot and sour usually), and piece of egg rolls. The owners are very friendly. Its a family owned, wife takes care of the front, while the husband is a cook. When its busy, the husband or some relatives would come out and help clean up. This is a very small restaurant, so don't expect to bring a large group of people, do take out instead. When you get your check, you will get couple slices of oranges and fortune cookies. pretty cool! Hope you enjoy as much as I do.

This is the best Chinese food hole-in-the wall I've ever found. I have dined-in and taken-out. I have Tin Fu on my cell speed dial so I can place an order from Grocery Outlet in the same strip mall. 15 minutes before I'm done shopping, I call and the food is always ready when I get there. The food is spectacular; very fresh, well seasoned, generously portioned and offered at a great price. The location isn't good and the facilities lack everything you'd want except a kitchen, some tables and chairs. There is nothing fancy here but every reason to go and bring your (non-snooty) friends. They will love you AND Tin Fu.

This place has been the answer to my prayers since I've had a baby and am not aloud to go out past 8pm! They deliver quickly, are open late and portion size is large (enough for a "hearty"breakfast in the morning and lunch at work). The food is quite delicious and always hot. The lady on the phone is always nice and the affordable price is the cherry on top!

  • Kevin J.

Came here with wife due to all the good reviews. The place is really small and when we went in there, only one lady was working. There were dirty tables waiting to be cleaned. After we were seated, we even witnessed customers being seated to an uncleaned table. Gross!! We waited over 30 minutes to get our food. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and Shrimp Fried rice. We got the chicken dish after 30 minutes. No rice, no water, no apologies. 10 minutes later when our chicken was cold, we got the beef dish, and 5 minutes later, we got out fried rice. THE worst service I have ever experienced. Even the food was mediocre. If the food made up for the wait, we would have overlooked the poor service, but it was underwhelming. I would say the food is about a 2 out of 5. Sub par for a Chinese joint. Never coming back here again.

Typical chinese restaurant decor, but their portions are huge and delicious. There was a time in the 8th grade when my family and I ate here almost everday, and every pound was worth it! Seven years later, I'm still a loyal costumer!

  • Adriel Y.

Not too bad considering how few Chinese places there are in Hayward. The food is alright, but for the price, it's well worth it. The place does look like a hole in the wall, but that's like every other good Chinese restaurant i've been to. The service is great, the people are nice, nothing really to complain about. If you're looking for a quick and good lunch that's easy on your wallet, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I'm in this hole in the wall AT LEAST once a week, and sometimes twice! This place has the most amount of choices for lunch specials out of all the places in Hayward/Fremont I've been to so far. Food is cheap, fresh, tasty, and abundant. I always eat like there's no tomorrow but with the amount they give you here, it's enough for four meals! The service is amazing. The lady that works the counter is very attentive and friendly. There is a $10 minimum to charge to a credit card, but I only ordered their super cheap lunch special. She let me go ahead and pay with the card anyway. Some outstanding dishes are the fish in black bean sauce, beef with tomato, and crispy szechuan chicken. Both the fried rice and chow mein are yummy.

I would have never went to this place on my own but im happy my manager took me to this place to study for my test. She use to live across from Tin Fu and use to come here all the time (the staff still remembered her and its been a while since shes been here). The staff was of course friendly to us and to everyone else in the restaurant and let us go up to the refrigerator to pick out our drinks. My manager ordered walnut prawns and i ordered a sweet and sour prawns lunch special (there was soo much food i had enough for dinner too!) They wernt stingy with the prawns, they had the big ones and gave plenty of them. The food was delicious and everything tasted fresh....im happy that my boss took me here as i now found a great place to eat thats only 10 minutes away from school!

You know those moments when you put something in your mouth and before you're even aware of it you've made an unmistakably happy sound? I had one of those last night. We regularly order delivery from Tin Fu, one of the few places that deliver's to our house, and last night was the first time we've eaten in their dining room. Driving up my friend warned me it was a hole in the wall and not to expect anything fancy. He was right, it's in a strip mall next to a laundry mat and it didn't look like much. Oh how looks can be deceiving. We ordered WAY too much food, four dishes, fried rice and soup for three of us. Each dish seams designed to feed two people. The Sweat and Sour Pork had a wonderful coating that stood up to the sauce, and I just had a bite of the left overs, still crispy. I find most restaurants overcook the pork in this dish, but Tin Fu's came out perfectly cooked. We also had Walnut Chicken, call me a novice but I had never heard of such a thing. It was fried in a wonderful batter, arrived at the table piping hot and oh my goodness yummy. The item that caused me to exclaim its yumminess was the Garlic Eggplant. I can't even begin to explain how wonderful the texture and flavor was, and even as loft overs still is. The wait staff consisted of a mother and son pair who were extremely nice, helpful and welcoming. I struggle with not wanting to give five stars, but there is just no way with the kind of constantly good service and food received from Tin Fu not to give them five. We had a short conversation with each of our waiters about MSG, both said they do not use MSG in their food, and the person in our party who is sensitive to MSG didn't have a problem.

Tried Tin Fu based on Yelp! reviews and I was not disappointed. I ordered delivery, was told my order would take about an hour and was only a few minutes over. Everything we ordered was great. On the list was: Mongolian beef-extra spicy. Sweet & sour pork Beef fried rice Shrimp chow mien Fried prawns Won ton soup Honey walnut prawns (we were on a shrimp kick tonight!) All the food was full of flavor, large portions in the order, fresh lean meats. The soup was LOADED with wontons and shrimp, the wontons were large & meaty. Often times soup is mostly broth, not so with their soup. Honey walnut prawns as good as everyone else reviewed. Mongolian beef definitely came extra spicy as requested. I don't have any complaints. Everything arrived piping hot. Delivery driver was friendly. Please note I would have given 5 stars- but since I ordered delivery and have not been to restaurant I am reserving the last star until I see the establishment and rate staff customer service. But food is 5 stars.

I do not get what all the good reviews are about. Yes the place is a dive. Many good Chinese restaurants are dives. But this place was filthy inside. Dirty walls, filthy carpet. Went there for lunch. The hot and sour soup had no heat (hot) to it. All I could taste was the salt and vinegar. It was like salt and vinegar chips liquified. I had the house chow fun. Meh.... Fair at best. Some of the meats did not taste so fresh.

Took the tip based on all the good reviews: THIS PLACE IS BOMB! Hot food, made to order, lots of it. One lunch plate can EASILY be split between two people, what a steal for lunch $3.50\each! Looking forward to trying one of their crab specials, so far had some spicy chicken, fried wontons, pot stickers, chao mein, fried rice, and curry chicken-- so far I'm very satisfied and got a few others trying it with thumbs up. Keep up the good work Tin Fu! PS: Grocery Outlet next door is the shiznit! Screamin deals!!

Tin Fu is about as authentic Chinese as you can get. It's a little hole in the wall in a small obscure shopping center. Nice owners, definitely mom & pop shop, if you come on the weekend or late you'll see their kids. We've ordered here for pickup a couple times & really like it. Last time we ordered about 10 minutes before closing and when I got there they were locked up, they let me in & even let in 2 others for a new takeout order as well. We've had broccoli beef & the broccoli is the perfect consistency -not too hard or too soggy. We really like the house chow fun (though the hubby doesn't like how many bean sprouts they use but I do), and the sweet and sour pork has amazing deep flavor but not soggy at all. Always fast, nice and relatively inexpensive. Especially if you get the lunch deals - something like $5 for a huge container of food. Prices are reasonable and the variety is good.

I found out about this place from a client I used to have. He grew up in Hayward and knew all the really good places to eat for cheap. This is one of his favorites. This is a tiny place and it's always super busy. I have always had good service and they are fast here. My only complaint is that they don't have a bathroom for customers. I had to go over to the Grocery Outlet in the same shopping center to pee. I have tried 3-4 of their dishes. I only eat seafood and veggies. All the dishes I tried were really good, pretty cheap and a huge portion. I was really suprised how good their hot and sour soup was and that it was vegetarian. My old client tried close to 20 dishes on their menu and liked them all, a lot of them he loved. The waitress was nice and always remembered what dishes he had ordered and were his favorites. They were nice even though he never left a tip (he is developmentally disabled and didn't quite get the idea of it). This place is a hole in the wall. It's not super fancy. Just know that before you go. I wish I lived closer to this place. I have a different job now and don't go to Hayward as much.

The food is very decent, just be careful on the items with the glazes, like lemon chicken or Szechuan prawns...good but sweet. During Lunch, the lunch offerings are huge, have had to take food home both times that I've been there. Thoroughly enjoyed the yellow curry, very mild but flavorful! Enjoy!

Food was pretty good! Service was attentive and nice. I was not blown away with the quality of the food or the taste in general. The place is clean an definitely worth checking out!

The place is never too busy inside because i can tell that most of it is takeout. If you're not from the Hayward area is could be kind of hard for you to find....but it's right next to grocery outlet, can't miss that one. I love to order the General's chicken, spicy braised string beans, and spicy garlic eggplant.. those are my faves! lunch specials are everyday 11a - 3p (i think...) anyways it's a HUGE serving of food and it's only $7.50. Lunch time can be their busiest times because of that. Food comes out very prompt, even when they're at their busiest it may take only 10 minutes.

This was the best Chinese food Ive had since I been in Hayward which has been since 2006. They give you huge portions of food and there salt and pepper chicken was very good and the staff in there is very nice also. The only thing I didn't like was that I called in my order ahead of time and when I got there I still had to wait about 15 minutes but the wait was well worth it

This spot is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Family own restaurant, great service. The food is very good my favorite dish is Mongolian chicken with steam rice, lunch special even on weekends :) Big portions, great , tasty, Delicious food & low price .

Definitely the best in the East Bay! Open year round Tin Fu isn't an establishment you'd refer to as fru fru, but the food makes up for lack of atmosphere. Since the place is small, the woman proprietor likes to seat 'em, serve 'em and move 'em out. Your meal will arrive piping hot straight from the wok! I highly recommend their "HK style pan fried noodles". Arrive with an empty stomach ~ the plates are full to heaping! The only reason I gave Tin Fu 4 stars, is because of its "divey" appearance.

After reading the reviews, I decided to try this place out. I can become veeery picky with Chinese food, especially if it's a mix of Szechuan, Hunan, Mandarin, and Cantonese cuisine, which this place is, and I thought hmmm... do they really do all those types? well....they do! A small place which probably has about 7 tables, 2 of which are for big family tables. I only came here for take out but the instant I came in, insta-friendly service! The woman who is probably the owner welcomed me, gave me a menu, and even offered a glass of water. I ordered something simple like the "House Chow Ho Fun", ready in 7 mins for about $7 haha. When I got home, to my surprised it was REALLY GOOD! huuuuuge portioins.... I really don't think I was supposed to eat all that by myself.. haha oh well! Anyways, all in all, I'll definitely be coming back here every time I am craving for Chinese food!

I too like the name of the restaurant, besides liking the name and not to mention the food. I have never stepped into the restaurant, so I cannot comment on the atmosphere nor the service (my hubby picks up the take-out). As for food, I think it is by far one of the better places in Hayward to get Chinese food. I've tried a variety of the menu as we frequent Tin Fu regularly, but my favorites are the BBQ pork chow fun, Mongolian beef, walnut prawns, and the garlic eggplant (even though it is quite sweet). The char siu bao was ok, but not great.

The best kept secret! My family and I have been eating at this restaurant now since 1998 when we stumbled upon it while doing our laundry next door. They know us by heart and now we've told our friends or have taken them here they call us by our first names, it the best food and service. They cook all the orders on the spot so its not sitting under some heat lamp in the back. So if you want to grab a great meal without the hassle and overprice stop by this gem! Try the POT STICKERS!! SOOOOO GREAT!

Great food, love love love the veggie fried rice and the fish with black bean sauce, among other things. Very fast and friendly service, and can somebody please give the lady at the counter a day off??? My husband and I have been going there for about five years, and she's been faithfully at the counter every single time!

Not bad at all.... just went here for take out, so I didn't get the full menu and service treatment... but so far so good. Looked like your typical greasy spoon chinese restaurant(not a derogatory comment in my book).... small (under 10 tables) but probably pretty good service and an opportunity to be homey with the people, as while I was waiting for my order to be finished to go, it seemed like they do a decent amount of phone orders, and recognize quite a few people.

Great value! Can't go wrong with this place. Generous portions and friendly service. I wish there wasn't as much MSG but still this place is our go to place for catering for parties etc. their combos can feed me for two meals!

It's hard to find a good spot for chinese food in Hayward. Well...it depends a lot on what your typical dishes are and what you expect from them. I had a "salt and pepper fried fish" hole to fill when Maxim restaurant died. So I tried Tin Fu, and it was a disappointment. To have a fried dish that tastes light, you have to change your frying oil often. The fish here was soaked in the oil, indicating the oil was at least a month old. (Well...I have no scientific methods of assessing this, but that was my estimate.) Unfortunately I don't think I gave this place much of a chance after this. I had other dishes (Tomato Beef, fried rice) but I couldn't go back. At least I found another place to fill my "salt and pepper fried fish" hole elsewhere....

  • Yelpergirl C.

I have ate here many times over the years and I hate to say it but they are going downhill. Yes you do get big portions but the quality is gone, too much grease! The chow mein is mostly bean sprouts and noodles, no vegi's! The chicken dishes have more dark meat now unless you order a wht. chicken dish. I think it depends a lot on who's cooking, but I'm not going to take the chance anymore. Another reason I don't care for the place is because it is dirty! Last time I was there the son was working and a waitress, not many people there and the floor was dirty, I wanted to tell them to get up and vaccuum! The windows are dirty, look around and you can see all the dust, it is sad. They still do the business though, I think it's mainly people that maybe don't know good quality food and don't mind messy surroundings.

a hole in the wall. and a buck saver! extremely busy restaurant, however their service is quick. Family owned. Qorth every single penny. I love their veggie fried rice! they pack it up!!! Call them before hand and get ur food ordered. and take it to go!

If you're looking for THE best chinese food in Hayward...TIN FU is your spot. It is a true hole in the wall spot that we have been going to since they opened in early 2000. The owners have always been friendly and accommodating to special requests. They cook their food fast and always consistent. Their specials are awesome, with good variety. The quality of the food has always been top notch. And the "lunch" servings are big enough to feed at least 2 people. If you're looking for "fast chinese food" this is it. (And YES there is a difference between "fast chinese food" and "chinese fast food") The latter is definitely not better. When you come in, be sure to get the cream cheese puffs and say hi to Sue, she'll probably be taking your order, and she is awesome!

BEST CHINESE FOOD EVER ! taste just Like grandmas :) I have probably tried everything on the menu. My favorites would probably be war wonton soup or the chicken wonton soup, pan fried noodles combination, walnut prawns, fish in black bean sauce :) spareribs ! You can't go wrong ! Everything is delicious ! Props for keeping it family owned.their kids help serve its cute. They also remember their clients.. The only negative thing about tin Fu is that they literally only have 6 tables but surprisingly I've never walked in and seen all the tables occupied.=] and they deliver! I LOOOOOVE IT !

The best thing I could say about Tin Fu is that it is cheap and good value. However, I would rather pay a little more for better food. I got the Orange Chicken with chow mein and it was not good. I ended up throwing away more than half the food. The people who work here were really nice and I feel bad for a 2 star rating. Sorry.

Ive had Tin Fu Bookmarked for ages . Today was Tin Fu day. I rolled my Hoop-tie to Tin Fu . I rolled up and its a Hole in the Wall . But I'm a Fan of those. I was greeted by a nice Waitress and seated I perused the Menu and ordered Fried Calamari , Dry Fried Ribs and Combination Chow Mein with Pan Fried noodles . I was brought the Fried Calamari first and it was Crisp and Airy very Tasty . The Dry Fried Ribs were very flavorful and filling. The Chow-Mein I ended up taking home for a Midnight snack LOL. My bill came with fresh Orange Slices and a Fortune Cookie.

I've learned the hard way that the holes in the wall are the best food. I went here with a friend last night madly craving chinese food. I've never been to Tin Fu before, but i heard nothing but good rants about it. we arrived there literally about 30-40 minutes before it closed. I felt so bad! but the minute we walked through the door, we were greeted by a woman asking us if we were takeout. i said no, just sit down. she smiles (but is probably cursing at us in her head) and sits us down, quickly giving us our menus. keep in mind, she wasn't being mean either! my friend and i ordered the BBQ pork fried rice, with pork buns, and fried crab cheese puffs. the pork buns were okay, nothing too exciting. but the crab puffs were absolutely AMAZING. i am in love with everything fried....so if you are too, you have to try the fried crab cheese puffs. the BBQ fried pork rice was pretty good as well. the rice was freshly made and wasn't too salty. the only thing that made me laugh was that i ordered a taro smoothie, and when i got it, it tasted like banana. a little strange considering that they should know what taro tastes like...but i'll give them a pass just because it was still good! overrall, i'd definitely come back here more than once. thinking about going here again today....oh no.

The lunch special is the way to go here. Ranges from $5.50-$6.50 you get rice or chow mein w/ an entree, hot and sour soup appetizer and an egg roll side. My favorite entrees are general tsou chicken or eggplant in garlic sauce w/ an add in of tofu. The helpings are ginormous. Normally I split the lunch special with a friend and still have plenty of leftovers. There is a service fee for debit/credit card charges on totals less than $10.

One of the BEST Chinese Food Spots in Hayward!! It's a Family owned restraunt and their service is GREAT! I love their Chow Mein Combo. All the portions are served FAMILY sized & they always remember us.

I heart this place. It has a nice little place in the "go-to chinese take-out" space in my heart. :) Tin Fu is a straight hole in the wall place - in all the right ways. The location itself is quite small and attracts mostly local diners. Take-out is about 85% of their business. The foot traffic in that place must be insane. The service is always friendly, run by a family with mom manning the front, dad in the back cooking, and their two kids out front in the main area. (Granted, their kids are most likely to be seen doing homework, surfing the 'net or eating, but they're also known to help out every now & then.) Oh, in all this talk I haven't even gotten to the food yet! Well, needless to say, it's GOOD. Flavorful and abundant. For reals. The amount of food they give you sometimes borders on ridiculous. Watch what you order because you could very well be eating Chinese takeout leftovers for the rest of the week. Some of my favorite items to order: -Chinese chicken salad -Beef chow fun -Spicy eggplant -Wor won ton soup -Anything tofu They have a fairly extensive menu, so there's something for everyone. And, the average wait time is 10 minutes so you can curb that craving lickety-split! Bottom line - awesome food at great prices. Love it. :)

Good food and they give you ridiculously large portions. The first time I went in there I ordered 4 items for the family and without exaggerating the bad weighed 10-12 pounds. Every carton was bursting with food. Really liked the chicken chow mein and the mongolian beef. A few tables in there if you want to sit down and eat but seems like more of a take out place to me. Only drawback for me was I had to wait a few minutes for my meal and asked for a beer while I was waiting and was told they didn't serve it. That's always heartbreaking for someone like me but I somehow powered through. Staff was extremely friendly and had my order ready to go in a very reasonable amount of time. Will definitely go again.

  • Wendy T.

Bathroom is in the back, which sucks. They are pretty busy during rush hour and they have a lot of biz from to go orders. The son works pretty fast, running here and there. Loved these: -Chinese chicken salad - Potstickers -Sweet n sour pk -Spicy eggplant -Jajiang mien (my fav!) -String bean/ Prawns with String Beans in Black Bean Sauce -foil wrapped chicken! -stewed beef -walnut prawn Wonton soup base is flavorful but the wonton filling is just so so. Salted fish fried rice (fish is not salty enough).

I'm with Ilana D. on this one. Ewww. I've tried their hong knong noodles in the past, and always thought it was the best around. But when I decided to give it another shot, I threw some orange chicken in, and salt and pepper ribs. Big mistake. HUGE. Ilana was right. Sweet and sour mixed w ketchup. Grossness at it's best. Too much flour on the chicken and on the ribs. Def not worth the drive to Hayward. Sure it's cheap, but it's so true, you get what you pay for. And I'd rather Eat Mc Donalds.

This is the best Chinese food place ever!!!!!!!!! Food is super fresh and SUPER good. I always order before i leave my house and food is ready when i get there... I love how they don't have food sitting around like other restaurants. Very friendly, and if i drop in she already knows what i want =) ...Best Crispy Orange Chicken .... Have been coming here for at least 6 years and I will continue to do so.. ***oh and they also DELIVER!!!!!!!!!!

This is a good, and affordable restaurant. A small spot in Hayward with a big taste, I normally go here for the best lunch special in the area. $6-$8 for the lunch specials, comes with a cup of soup, eggroll and your entrée. They give big portions if you dine-in, so much rice/chow mein. Friendly service, and they remember me and my friends, I will continue to go here. Come check it out yourself!

Went to this place three nights ago and it was delicious! Kellie T. and I came here and ordered $40 worth of food (which was basically a whole buffet, we had enough food to feed all the other customers in the restaurant if we had wanted to). We had the wontons, sweet and sour chicken, cashew chicken, mixed vegetables, vegetable chow mien, and pork fried rice. The lady that was serving us was definitely busy, and didn't stop by our table very often, but that was okay because we didn't need much. By the end of our meal we had both eaten two plates of food and still had a lot of everything to take home. When we packed up everything into boxes it was as if we had never even eaten at the restaurant, and had just order all of it to go. Definitely going to return to this place again.

I love this place!! I typically judge chinese places on how awesome the fried rice is and how much it costs. This place is perfect for both. Lots of veggies in the fried rice and the cost is great. Plus the service here can't be beat. I eat here at least once a month!! leaving in 10 min to pick up my order... =)

  • Tiffany C.

This place has really good reviews, but I personally feel like the only good thing about this place would probably be the large portions. I got the black bean filet and orange chicken and both were over battered. The batter was probably thicker than the fish/meat itself. The place is really small and it was nearly empty when I was there. The food didn't take long to prepare, which was a plus. I don't think I'll be coming here again.

    (3)
  • Erin B.

Went here to grab a quick bite for lunch one afternoon based on some of the reviews read here. I really wanted to give this place four stars but I just can't. While the service was quick and the portions were large, the food was just meh. I got the spicy tofu and it wasn't spicy at all (even though I asked for it to be). While I appreciate that it didn't make me sick (I'm sensitive to MSG), I didn't touch my leftovers. That right there tells me that I wasn't impressed. I will definitely give you another try and go in one day Tin Fu but I don't know how soon it will be.

Bangin' Chinese food within a mile from the crib? Hells to the yeah. The food here is super yummy and one 2 item combo is enough food to feed 3 stoners. Highly recommended.

This is a pretty small Chinese restaurant in a shopping center. One of the owners works the front as the cashier and hostess and is very friendly and accommodating. She provides very good service. Didn't think too much of the won ton. No meat inside to speak of. Pretty large portions.

Turns out the trusty Chinese restaurant down the street is closed on Tuesdays and I was desperate for quick and delicious Chinese takeout. Yelp reviewers led me to Tin Fu, a bit further away but it is open on Tuesdays! I was going purely off of other Yelp reviews, so I didnt have a menu or anything and blindly followed the advice of other enthusiastic Yelpers. Annnnd....everyone was right. This place is good. Totally a small place in a dodgy area but worth the extra 10 minutes drive. The woman who took my order was super friendly. Ended up going for the walnut honey prawns, chicken chow mein and general something or other chicken (read others' reviews, the actual name is in there). All good choices. The chow mein especially - though it is a bit heavy, so be prepared. Overall a great choice and I would go back just because the staff was so nice.

  • Ken L.

Ok, I ordered to go on a busy Sunday night. I got the deep friend Calamaris and the Peking Spareribs. The calamaris' were excellent and I would go back for more. But the Peking Spareribs had so much BBQ sauce on them that I had to scape the massive excess off with a spoon. There was so much sauce that I couldn't taste the spareribs. It got to be such a pain that I threw the rest of the meal out. See the picture that I put up and you tell me if the sauce was excessive or not. I give them 3 stars because the Calamaris were the best I've tasted in this area, but if I've ordered the Peking Spareribs alone; my review wouldn't be so positive.

Thanks to Yelp I found Tin Fu. The food is delicious. I've only gone for their lunch specials which are quite inexpensive for the large portions you get. The plate is usually over flowing with food, and if its to go, the box is packed to the brim. Usually enough for two, or for lunch and dinner. The orange chicken is the best, nice and crispy. Great flavor. Aside from the food, the same lady is always there, and she is always very pleasant.

This is currently my spot for chinese food! I have gone twice now and I ALWAYS get there right before they close lol the second time the owner was like oh just call 15 min before so we have it ready to go for you! She is a very nice lady and man the food here is really good! They take about 15-20 minutes to make it and maan they stuff the shit outta those trays! she double, triple bags it so it wont get everywhere. The first time we went we bout got our own trays and ended having a lot of left overs! So this last time we just got one tray of food and that was enough for the both of us to be stuffed! So far I have tried their: Sesame chicken Orange Chicken Prawns w/ veggies Fried Rice Chow mein Cant think of what else but it's delicious! :) Their menu doesnt have too much to order from but she told me she has another restaurant on Tennyson? I think or around west Hayward and that menu has toooonnns of thinngs to pick and chose from! This joint is pretty small but it's okay the service is very good ! PS you can get MetroPCS's free wifi here as well!

Being new to this city leaves me very lost when it comes to finding good food. Luckily, I have a coworker who knows what's good in Hayward! After several experiences eating here, I have to say it is a great place to eat. Tin Fu isn't going to win any beauty pageants, but it more than makes up for it in substance and service. You can safely expect to have an enjoyable stay here, with food that satisfies your fix. As featured in the photo album for this restaurant (here on Yelp), this place has a pretty diverse and affordable selection of items on the menu. Beware, the portions here are also extremely generous. To top it all off, your food will be delicious. If you are a person who has an average appetite, you'll probably end up taking some home for later! All in all, I'd have to say that this is a good restaurant. If you're looking for some razzle dazzle, don't go here. However, if you're looking for a great meal at a great price, you need to check this place out!

One star for one out of five dishes sampled that had any flavor and I didn't just eat it because I spent $40 on Chinese food. The previous reviews made this restaurant seem promising. Ehh not! The one thing I was really looking forward to that I looove at Chinese restaurants..crab cheese puffs. This place was dry, overfishy, and overfried..what a disappointment. Chow mein..yuck..orange chicken was like sweet and sour sauce with ketchup mixed in ewww. 45 minute wait for a Thursday for takeout..not worth it..go to Panda Exxxxpress you'll wait less and the food is 100X better.

Welcome to flavor city! This place is great! They lose a star because their chow mein sucks in my opinion but everything else that we tried was so flavorful and good! Probably one of the best Chinese in the Bay Area... Chow mein is a big deal in my book and theirs is boiled or something because it tastes rawish. Very over done chow mein. I like a nice pan fried/sauteed chow mein that has some color to it and the last time we were here we ordered the "Pan Fried Noodles" and got a bunch of crispy skinny noodles.... and while they were good... they weren't chow mein and not what I was craving. Anyway, we ordered the War Wonton Soup which has to be absolutely the BEST soup I have EVER had! It was so full of stuffed wontons vegetables and other meats and didn't need anything added to it! It was perfect the way it was! I was starving but almost filled up with just the soup! So be careful! Its a lot of soup for two people. We also ordered the General Tso's Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken which were SO GOOD! The breading under all of that delicious sauce is amazingly crispy still! So much flavor and it doesn't taste fishy like some other places! Overall everything is full of GOOD flavor and the service is incredibly friendly and FAST! After a full meal for two, Hot Tea, Soup, Two Orders of different Chicken, Fried Noodles with Beef and Broccoli and leftovers the size of what we just ate.. the bill came out to only $30!!! The owner even gave me more broth for my soup which I was taking home!! This place is awesome and Love supporting Mom and Pop restaurants especially when they are this good! I just wish that they Pan Fried their Chow Mein Noodles a little to give it a better texture and taste. Maybe I'll suggest that to her next time I am there... at least just for me.

I would like to add that they will even make a vegetarian hot and sour soup! I ordered it the other night to-go, and it was hot..all the way back to San Lorenzo. It was so tasty, I ended up eating the whole container! :-/ Mmmmm, I think I'm gonna want more tonight....

  • Ryan E.

I can say, this place will fill you up. The price is not too bad, however most places i've been, are a little cheaper and tastes better. I ordered walnut prawns, and all i can say about those is, there is more dough than prawns. The prawns are really tiny, but made to look big with all the dough. the walnut prawns also doesn't really have any sauce, which makes it kind of dry. But wait, stuff oil and fat in, and the dryness will disappear! oh my gosh! I ordered togo, so didn't get to experience the service in the place, however, the lady over the phone was pretty nice, didn't cause problems are be rude, which is nice.

We placed our order through EatStreet; so easy and we had our food delivered (to N. Hayward) in about 35 mins. on a Thurs eve We ordered Steamed Pork Buns they are out of this world! Big and delicious! The Pork is seasoned well with a light and airy bun :) Kung Pau Comb is Fresh, big chunks of zucchini & veggies with onions in a delicious, spicy sauce! Beef Chow Ho Fun is Excellent as well! Wide creamy noodles with tender beef/onions Mongolian Lamb; I will order this again! Tender slices of spicy lamb with onions in a yummy sauce! My mom got the Beef with Broccoli pan fried noodles and she said it was excellent. We're fans!

My sister loves this place. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food, but if I had to choose, Tin Fu would be one of my first choices to eat at. I thoroughly enjoy Tin Fu's Honey Walnut Prawns. Yum!

This place absolutely gets 5 stars for the food. But the one star? Absolutely horrid (& gross) customer service. I've ordered from them 3-4 times, & ordered again tonight, always via Eat24. Never had an issue before..... Tonight they delivered to us our ordered items, minus the bbq pork fried rice & plus a bbq chicken entree (which we didn't order). I contacted Eat24 & I declined to have the rice redelivered, & decided to get a refund. The restaurant manager/owner called me directly and said the delivery driver was COMING BACK TO GET THE BBQ CHICKEN. COMING BACK. When I asked why she told me that the chicken costs more than the fried rice. And?! You can't re-serve that chicken! I don't want to eat it but that's just disgusting. She insisted and kept reiterating the cost and that the driver was coming back. When I told her I wasn't planning to be here for the driver (to get her to shut up), she grilled me - "Where will you be?! Why won't you be home?!" I'm sorry, are you my damn mother?! She then told me to leave the BBQ chicken outside my door. WHAT. On the upside, Eat24 was lovely through it all and apparently had the exact same conversation with the woman before she called me. Bottom line - EW. And exceptionally rude. Guess I'll be going to Rose Garden all the time now...

Me and my father decided to try out this place. The service was really good, friendly people. Once our meals came, it was a huge plate that can be survive for 2 peoples, I was impressed on how good it tasted. The prices are good. We will be coming back.

I came back after a year. Same folks working, the lady who ran the front remembered me and smiled when she saw me. She even remembered what I used to order. Can't knock this place anymore. The food is good and the price is ridiculously low for what you get. Best value for your buck!

3 STARS FOR FOOD ONLY I've had food from here on several occasions but this review is specifically for my latest experience ordering delivery. BE PREPARED TO WAIT 2 HOURS!! I live in Hayward and called to place my order for delivery on a weekday evening, the lady who answered my phone just said "yea, yea....ok" quickly while I was telling her what I wanted. I had a decent sized order maybe for 4 people so I made sure she repeated the order before I hung up and she got it right. Also made sure she had the right address! I ask her how long it will take and she says 45 minutes, which I was like wtf it must be busy as hell if it takes your delivery from one end of Hayward to another, to bring me my food in 45 minutes but I patiently waited since I was too lazy to go pick it up myself, and had my family waiting hungry for 2 HOURS!! I called back after an hour to see if maybe the delivery man got lost but she said he is "on his way" "dont' worry" and hung up in like 2 secs and did not let me finish talking. Again, I waited patiently thinking maybe it was busy or something but 45 minutes turned into 2 hours of waiting and the food was delivered in the containers that were not properly closed or individually wrapped inside the one plastic bag, so all the sauce from the food made a mess. :( Food ended being alright but not worth it for the price I paid compared to how long they took and the mess that was made in my bag. My in laws introduced me to TIn Fu but I will probably not be ordering from here again after this...

Can't complain about this place....I always come here and the lady already know my order....you know is great customer service when the owner knows your order.... Everything here is fresh and all the fried items are always crunchy and not saggy.

Childhood favorite place! My papa used to take me here when I was younger and the lady at the counter knew him pretty well. Still is a favorite place, My dad and mom take us all the time too. It's a personal relationship with the restaurant that keeps us there, plus the food is delicious and prices at cool. I hope it gets bigger!

We've ordered delivery many times; the food is always good. Today I dined in the restaurant for the first time. I ordered something unusual (for me) - Scrambled Egg Beef with fried rice. The meal came with soup and an egg roll. The meal reminded me of egg foo young without all the ingredients that mold it into a round, little omelette and without the sauce. This is a good thing. The eggs were fresh and the beef had good flavor. I added multiple dabs of the hot sauce, which added just the right kick. It looked like a ton of food, but in reality it was served over a very large pile of fried rice. Still, it was quite a bit of food and I did not finish the rice. I'll say I'd order it again. The soup had a twang to it. At first off putting, it grew on me quickly and I enjoyed the whole tiny little bowl. The egg roll was nothing special. It was certainly not hand made in the back. What was unique was it had a nice, real butter flavor to it. So rather than being fried in old oil, it tasted as though it had been fried in fresh butter or ghee. Again, nothing special here, but the fresh buttery flavor was a nice surprise. Slow on refills of the room temperature water. Overall a fine lunch.

I've been eating here for almost 10 years and I have never been disappointed! I've ordered the same dishes and the taste and quality hasn't changed one bit! I've tried many dishes on their menu as well and everything I've had were amazing!! My friend who is a self entitled Chinese food expert lol says that Tin Fu is by far the best he's had. He's an expert so believe him! Haha All joking aside, I love the service here too! I've been ordering food from the same woman for the past 10 years so much so that when I walk in the door she already has my order cooking in the back! The chefs are top notch, but I give all the credit to the cooking pans! 10 years of solid consistency has to be because of how seasoned their pans are! Please Tin Fu, do not throw away those pans!! Lol I love Tin Fu and the day it closes down or changes owners will definitely be a day of mourning.

Iv'e passed by Tin Fu on many occasions but never got a chance to stop by. I really wanted some Chinese food today so I said "eh, why not give it a try." I had to order for pick due to the fact I'm on crutches. I called ahead, and I was connected with a Tin Fu employee right away. I ordered the lunch special which includes your choice of steamed rice or fried rice or chow mien and also a side. The nice employee took my order fast, my food was ready fast, and the chow mien and general chicken was delicious and still hot when I got home! Tin Fu has a variety of dishes to choose from. This restaurant is very affordable and gives you way more food then you pay for. Make sure you can get there for lunch!!! From 11-3 the food is a lot cheaper. They have varieties of chicken, shrimp, beef or vegetable sides to chose from. This is one of the best Chinese food places in Hayward for sure!

I had a bad experience at this place on May 6, 2015. I ordered the Szechuan Beef, when it came out to our table I was impressed with the presentation. Although looks can be deceiving. When I took a few bites I noticed there was no beef in what I was chewing. I take a look at the other pieces and there was no beef in every single piece of Szechuan "Beef". I called the waitress over and told her I was not pleased about my meal. She began to explain while picking at my food with my own fork that there was plenty of beef. I've added a picture of my order. You be the judge. Im never coming back to Tin Fu again.

3.5 stars for the food. Great for take-out orders. Lady who takes the call is really nice, efficient, and friendly. Ordered honey walnut prawns which was a little different from what im used to. Tin Fu makes their shrimp more heavily dipped in batter and fried whereas most other places are lightly coat with crunch. Still, it was delicious! Rock cod fish in garlic sauce came with zucchini, carrots, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and snap peas....good flavor, with sweet, salty, crunchy...very tasty but prob best eaten there as the deep-fried fish gets soggy. Good pricing, fast, and close to the 20 minute prep time as they state. Located in the same strip mall as Grocery Outlet and Mtn Mikes Pizza.

Great American style Chinese food for a great price. The sauces are anything but bland and the flavors are more complex than other similarly styled fare. Really good value on the Mandarin family meal. Great, fresh eggrolls with a good bite from either black or white pepper.

3.5 Stars Whenever I'm at home and HUNGRY, Tin Fu combined with EAT24 or EATSTREET to the rescue. They make giant platters of chow mein, their noodles are fat strands of deliciousness. Definitely there's no MSG as I don't get headaches or feel completely thirsty afterwards. And tummy is no longer hungry. I used EAT24 service several times now, they offer online ordering and free delivery service. The first time I did this, the food arrived piping hot within 35 minutes. The second time I used this service, the food arrived piping hot in 50 minutes. The third time I used this service, the food arrived piping hot in 1.15 hours. It was getting slower and slower. So, instead of using the delivery service, I started using the online ordering service and picked up myself. Good thing the restaurant is only a few minutes from my townhouse, which was no big deal to drive to. The restaurant itself is the smallest hole in the wall Chinese restaurant you'll see. Hand written specials on the walls in both Chinese characters and English. Chinese paintings thrown onto the walls for decorations. Several tables with patrons munching on their popular giant platter of fat noodle chow mein. The cashier was sweet as can be. Busy as a bumblebee as she was multi-tasking phone calls, iPad orders, patron orders, deliveries and pick-ups. She was still able to squeeze out a smile and hello to me. The food is good and humongous and prices are cheap! Recommendations: :) Chow Mein :) Broc with beef :) String bean with beef :) Chow fun :) Hot and sour soup Don't get this: :( Crispy fried chicken - it was dry and the shrimp chips are not included If you can, go do a pick-up, if not, the variable delivery times may make you hangry. 35 minutes is bearable but 1hr 15 min is way too long to wait for food.

The crab puffs that everyone raved about arrived very cold and hard and with an AWFUL fishy flavor. I was so disappointed. This was the reason I chose this place for dinner. To make matters worse, I ordered the combination dinner for 1 with a chicken dish and the walnut shrimp (for and extra $1) with the noodles. Everything came all piled into one box! The sauces all mixed and everything was super mushy with no unique flavors for each dish. The shrimp had a fishy/metallic flavor. None of this was worth eating. I completely wasted $31. The driver arrived in time and was pleasant. The soda was in a separate bag, which was nice. I will not be ordering from here again.

I am always on the look-out for a great Chinese restaurant. Please allow me to recommend Tin Fu Restaurant. My absolute favorite Chinese restaurant since moving to California in late October, 2014. I recommend going to the restaurant and eating it there. It is so hot, fresh, crisp and delicious and steamy when they serve it to you! It's a joy to dine there. Very nice people and top-knotch ownership. So far I have had: 1.) Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice. It was absolutely delicious! I usually get the lunch special with fried rice. 2.) Sweet & Sour Chicken - oh so crisp, fresh and delicious when served! Their portions are VERY generous! You may want to take half of it home with you, but it is so good and steamy you may be tempted to eat the entire plate as I usually wind-up doing! Highly recommended!!!

I never ever ever write reviews when I go out to eat. I really enjoy good food but I'm not a picky eater in any way. There are absolutely no pros to this place. Only cons. Firstly, the food wasn't affordable it was average price so nothing special in regards to their rates. Next, the food tastes awful. The general tso chicken was not in any way General tso chicken and that was the best thing I received. The rest of the food even looked disgusting! I spend almost $50 on food and didn't even eat half of it. I would recommend you go else where. The selection of Chinese delivery is so wide in every city in the entire world so DON'T go here!

*****BEWARE !!! THIS PLACE SERVES RAW FOOD***** This place is awful. Bland as ever and I had raw chicken in my meal!!! I did not eat it and politely asked for my money back and the owners caused a scene in front of their customers. So not classy. Will never return. Beware.

Got delivery on a Friday night. Simple, online ordering was a huge plus (and also the only reason this review doesn't get only 1 star). Pretty fast delivery, roughly 40 minutes from clicking the submit button to the guy arriving at my door. Food was pretty bad. Ordered the crispy chicken, which was obviously old and probably the driest chicken I've ever seen. I think they just reheated some old chicken and put it in a container. The tomato beef chow fun was essentially sweet and sour beef over chow fun noodles. Super gross. The egg rolls, broccoli chicken, and mushroom chicken were average.

I should've listened to all the previous reviews on this place's shitty containers when ordering take-out. You would think after getting enough complaints about the food melting the plastic container, the restaurant would change something up to prevent that from happening, but nope, still the same. Don't order take out here unless you want to consume melted plastic along with your meal. The food itself was terrible as well. The only reason why I ordered here was because grubhub sent me a coupon code, but even with that applied, it was a rip-off. I ordered the shrimp and bbq pork fried rice and that was bland and dry. I had one bowl of it and threw the rest away. The garlic chicken should just be renamed to vegetables in sugary sauce. All it was was just frozen vegetables and bits of chicken drenched in a sugary, thick sauce. It nowhere near resembled anything spicy or garlic-y as the menu described. I hate this place. I'd rather go to Panda Express than ever thinking about stepping foot into this restaurant.

Delivery was 50 minutes, not bad. Decided to try this place because our go to is closed for vacation on last week of the year :( Straight to business, food was delivered hot! Plus!! Lemon chicken was over cooked and looked like leftover bits of chicken fried. Not impressed. Salt and pepper cod seemed fresh and they followed request of no spice since its for the kids, thank you. Fried rice pork and shrimp looked way better than it tasted, kind of bland. Beef asparagus was great, plenty of meat and balance of asparagus with good flavor, best dish out of the order. Chow mein was ok, but again lacking in flavor. Price is good, food is hot, but this place will take a couple visits to know what's good and what's not. Unfortunately, I'm very picky and want to know that I can order anything from the menu and know I'll be satisfied. Sorry Tin Fu, I'm cashed out and happy my go to is open 51 weeks out of the year.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
