Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I don't even remember how many hundreds of times I have order food from Pasta Presto and they never fail to deliver same great taste each time. Great food at reasonable price, way better food than many high end Italian food chains.
(5)Sujit K.
This is basically an Italian fast food place. The spaghetti, fettuccine, rigatoni, etc are all pre-made... and so are the sauces. Below average tasting food, large quantities and low prices. I've tried all their sauces and the pesto sauce was the worst. Marinara and meat sauce are OK. Better off making pasta at home. Garlic bread was above average.
(1)Rob C.
I don't know if I came here on a bad day or if the people who posted positive reviews about this place has ever eaten good Italian food.. To start off the garlic bread had no taste of garlic. The meatballs tasted terrible like it was made with processed meat. The food is bland and lacks any flavor or seasoning. The only thing that was good was the French fries. Sorry but this place is a bust and I'll never come back.. I was hoping that it was good because the prices were great but you don't even get what you pay for. We had a few bites of our food and threw it out.. What a waste..
(1)Nicole L.
Ive been coming here for years. Great authhentic italian food. Support local businesses! Just be aware that there is no dining indoors, its either to-go or eat outside in a nice patio like setting....great place to eat and hang out in the summer.
(4)Elisse B.
The garlic bread is really good, everything else is meh. You're better off making pasta at home. The place is cute and it seems like a good idea, but the food isn't great. Everything tested like it was out of a box. I think the prices should be lower for the quality of food.
(2)Sid M.
If you're looking for simple Italian food with no frills and at reasonable rates this is the place. Ambience: This is more of a to go place. They have an open seating area however It is a no frills place where the food is served in to go boxes. Food: Very homely Italian cooking. Light and wholesome. Doesn't leave you stuffed at the end of the meal like most upscale Italian restaurants. Recommendations: The pasta and meatballs is always good. Not too crazy about the minestrone soup.
(4)Jan H.
We tried this place for the first time yesterday and we really liked it. My Hubby and I sat inside and had our lunch, while watching the rainy world go by. I'm really picky about sauce, because my Mom was Italian. Really good "fast food" Italian. Their meat sauce was pretty good. The lady who waited on us was really nice. It's a nice friendly neighborhood place. We'll be back again!
(4)Sc G.
Cheap Italian food. Lady/ owner is nice and very friendly. Just started going back recently and I don't know why I stopped.
(4)August M.
If your in the area craving pasta, this is a place to go, especially if you don't want to wait to long. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and a Coke. I received the icy Coke, and after 10 minutes I'm handed a plastic container with my order. They give you a whole lot of spaghetti, almost too much to eat at one time, and some garlic bread. Unfortunately the spaghetti tasted just like one of those dollar Banquet brand frozen dinners (which I actually like), except it's freshly cooked. I expected more flavor from a place that specializes in just pasta, and there wasn't much meat in the meat sauce. The garlic bread was a bit soggy. On the plus side is the quick service and friendly staff.
(4)Julia N.
This place is horrible. We ordered meatballs and their meatsauce. First of all their meatballs tasted like cardboard. Theres barely anymeat on the meat sauce. The garlic toast is burnt and doesnt taste like garlic. And its too pricey. Never coming back to this place again!!!
(1)Dave R.
Fairly decent to go old school family style Italian Food from a converted old Taco Bell type Building. Friendly Lady at the window. Got the Eggplant Parmesan with extra Meatball and Sausage in the side, then put them together for a filling dinner, it came with Garlic Toast also.
(3)Kaylin C.
Pasta Presto is a really great place for quick Italian food. We always call ahead and place an order for pick up and the food is always ready very fast. Very friendly people! The mixed green salad is always fresh and above and beyond what you would expect for a side salad. High quality ingredients. The meatballs and lasagna are also delicious.
(4)Elizabeth L.
Best Italian place in Fremont! Owner is the sweetest lady ever , always smiling and so friendly! Food is always amazing , have yet to have a bad experience here and I've been going for over 15 years!
(5)Krystina F.
Not a fan of this place at all . Their food has no taste to it and it's pretty pricey
(1)J P.
This place is awesome!!! What you get for what you pay and the quality is hard to find. I saw a few bad reviews but I don't know what they were eating because the Chicken Parmigiana is on par with Olive Garden and for a lot less. The Garlic bread is wonderful and even the quality of the lettuce and tomatoes in the Salad is good quality. This isn't a fine restaurant in a sense of comparing it to Olive Garden. It' s kind of like a fast food type of place however the food doesn't taste fast food because it's great quality. Easily one of my favorite places to eat.
(5)Benjamin F.
My dad and I always come here when we want pasta and don't feel like waiting for Olive Garden. This place is a quick, clean, and cheap home style, authentic Italian restaurant. They give you great garlic bread with your meal that always comes in a box. You can sit down, but this place is really meant for take-out. The lady there is very nice, and I recommend calling in your order. I recommend the tortellini with pesto sauce, or spaghetti.
(5)Kayleigh L.
The ladies here are nice but this is Possibly the worst pasta I ever had. Anyone can make better pasta than this. The chicken was so dry and taste like they were cooked a week ago
(1)laura c.
Very good place to eat Italian food without all the hustle and bustle just a very good plate of food with fast friendly service at a good price as well ....I will be back
(5)Sandy S.
It's a nice outdoors kind of place but the food was horrible. Literally tasteless. The meatballs and chicken didn't even taste like real meat. Never again. Also, I ate 15 minutes ago and my stomach is starting to hurt.
(1)Marissa A.
Worst worst experience I had at this place this morning with an employee the "manager" worst customer service ever I liked this place but after my experience today I will NOT BE RETURNING AT ALL!! So me and a co-worker that I mentioned this place to pull up to get some food we realize it is 10:30 and they open at 11am so we decide to wait till they open so while we are parking the employee comes and starts yelling at us to move from the parking space and that it is the managers parking mind you there are no signs that say no parking, employee parking, manager parking etc. so he's yelling at us telling us to leave I say excuse me please do not tell at me you are being rude then manager pulls up and also starts yelling at us to move out of the parking space and this is the manager I'm talking about! My co-worker tells her no we are not moving we came to eat here but manager just kept telling at us to leave that is is employee parking we tell her there are no signs stating that we can't park or that it's employee parking it seriously looked as if she wanted come to my car and hit us I felt like my co-worker and I were harassed and discriminated I should have called the police I will be trying to get ahold of the owner of this place because the way they acted towards us was very scary very rude and unprofessional!
(1)Dominic M.
I don't get the draw. The food is approximately the same quality as if you take refrigerator pasta from the grocery store, boil it, and add Ragu, and Kraft parmesan cheese on top. Maybe it's a convenient place for a satisfying lunch? Doesn't do it for me.
(2)Doug J.
Been going to Pasta Presto since high school (Irvington!), '86-'89. Love the food, great people working here. Met many if the family members throughout the years. Always fresh, smiling and love the meatballs. I must be a wanna-be Italian.
(5)Dominique C.
The bathroom was outside and I was not even greeted when I sat at a table; even though I was the only one in the place...When I opened the menu, it is nothing like the food that was listed on Yelp that brought me here...HOW EMBARRASSING :-( To be fair, since they did let me use the "out-bathroom," I ordered the garlic bread and left. The Mickey D's across the way was looking quite tempting. Not recommended. 8/22/13
(1)Jay T.
Pretty average. Salty soups and noodles. Tried twice and result was same . Not a dine in place. My family didnt like the place at all. They make custom food though...
(3)Misty D.
Really good, comforting, FRESH Italian food!! I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid and am so happy they're still around (they did close down a few years back when the economy tanked and I shrieked with joy when I saw them open again). Interesting fact: the building its in used to be an old Taco Bell, hence the outside seating. But in the winter they have heat blasting so do not let the seating deter you from eating here. But on to the food. I highly recommend the chicken parmigiana. You get a huge breaded chicken breast smothered in marina sauce and cheese with a side of spaghetti and garlic bread. Their garlic bread is simple but tastes sooo good....great for sopping up the sauce and you can taste how fresh the pasta is. Cheesecake is awesome too! They are friendly, always greeting with a smile and offer fast service, living up to it's name. A great place for Italian take out. I love supporting local small businesses and this place is definitely one of them. It's awesome having a little Italian joint right around the corner!
(5)Stephanie T.
I was so looking forward to eating here, a friend took me. I had the Alfredo and the sauce was almost like a breakfast gravy it was weird. The bread was so saturated with butter I couldn't eat it. Sadly the best thing I ate was my small salad.
(1)WineGirl L.
Friendly, quick service, good sized portions and good food. It's all here. If you want gourmet Italian or ambiance, go elsewhere but if you want good ole comfort food in a flash and you want to support a long standing family owned local business, It doesn't get better than Pasta Presto.
(5)V L.
Fast, fresh, delicious, and inexpensive. Great place to stop on Friday night when you don't feel like cooking!
(4)Alice P.
not bad at all. I've had better, but I love my locally owned businesses, so they always get a +1 in my book. It's a small place and fairly cheap. Come on a nice breezy day and enjoy the semi-outdoor seating. The person who took our order was quite nice and they give you a heaping portion of food (I'd recommend you bring a friend and share).
(3)Carol T.
two words: FOOD POISONING i previously reviewed pasta presto and gave it a glowing review. It's been years since then and lets just say, the take out I got last week must be under the supervision of new management/owners. Got the spaghetti and meatballs for my husband, and it should have read "spaghetti and undercooked meatball" -- he took one bite, called it 'grade school spaghetti' and tossed it in the garbage. i had faith. my chicken fettucine alfredo couldn't be that bad, could it? I mean, how easy is it to make fettucine alfredo and throw some chicken on top? i hate to admit but the alfredo was some sort of congealed white sauce slathered over overcooked pasta. It didn't taste good and it didn't settle at all since i had the worst stomach cramps of my life that night. I had a baby 4 months ago and the contractions were a walk in the park compared to the stomach cramps i got from eating this food. Don't even get me started on the cold sweats. good lord. if you know what's good for you, don't eat from pasta presto. Want stellar pasta? order from Il Porcino. The prices are a little higher (but more than reasonable) and the food is Fantastic with a capital F.

Nothing screams "comfort" more than a heaping plate of hot carbs. Pasta in this case. I was raised with this kind of Americana Italian fare. Most moms I grew up with, whether of Italian decent or not had their pasta specialty. Whether it was lasagna or spaghetti with meat sauce, I always loved sitting at a family table and going to town on some pasta. And like most loving mothers, they would feed me until "I" was done. Now that is why this is comfort food for me. Enter Pasta Presto. It's basically a pasta take-out housed in an old 1970's Taco Bell building. That's got the making of a unique spot if you ask me. This is not gourmet pasta. It is comforting American-Italian fare. I love their pasta-red sauce-Italian sausage deal. I change the pasta every now and then, sometimes spaghetti, sometimes linguine and when I'm feeling a little frisky I'll try the rigatoni. The sausage is served whole and requires cutting on your part. I also think their lasagna is pretty worthy and I wouldn't even mind trying their vegetarian version someday. The misses are their garlic bread as it almost always has to get re-toasted or else it will give you the impression that it is stale. I was also disappointed with their bland meatball. But I've got my faves here and that's enough to keep me coming back. Coming back for that occasional carb-induced coma that I crave every now then. *Scoffs at carb- counters*
(4)Claudine V.
I'm not really a huge fan of Italian since I am Protein and Veggie eater. Anyway, if you want just simple , good Italian pasta with a huge serving and cheap, check this place out. BUT, please trust me when I say DO NOT ORDER the GARLIC BREAD. You're better off getting a french bread in Safeway and slather it with butter and garlic. Trust me... don't waste your money on the garlic bread but their pasta is good.
(3)Charles U.
I have my "ratatouille" moments here at Pasta Presto, with their delicious spaghetti and meatballs. I've been eating here for over 15 years, and the meatballs are just as delicious now as ever. I am reminded of my younger days, when my Mom would stop here on the way home from work to buy dinner for us. I loved the food, but also spending that quality time with my busy Mom. All of this comes rushing back to me with each savory bite! The staff is super friendly and patient. This is a great place to get fast, yummy pasta. I don't order the white sauces, and I've been told they aren't the best. I always recommend the meat sauce and meatballs, plus that awesome garlic bread.
(5)Es L.
This place is really cute. The small seating area is indoor yet outdoor. Perfect for a casual summer meal. The chicken Alfredo was pretty darn good, and so was the Italian sausage and garlic bread. I ordered the lasagna, and it was decent, except a bit dry on the edges. If you take your order to go, they put it in nice Eco-friendly takeout boxes... While it's nice they are going green, my lasagna soaked thru the takeout container and I found bits of paper in my food. :( but that's not really their fault, I suppose.
(4)Karissa B.
The service is very good. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Its cool outdoor seating arrangements. Its open till 930 and fast food pasta. The garlic bread is alright...not overwhelming with garlic very lite tasting.
(4)Lee L.
We've passed this restaurant many a time and have always wanted to try this cute looking, quick pasta place. Tonight was our first and, unfortunately, our last visit here. I ordered the mastaccioli with sausage and a white sauce (pesto) after told it had a blend of garlic, basil and pesto. However, what I got in my plate turned out to be a sloppy glob of white sauce and green flakes with zero taste. My dish came with one slightly burned piece of sausage which was dry inside and tasted reheated rather than freshly made on the stove. The pasta was soggy, and the garlic bread (which had the most flavor) was soggy and burnt (I've made better garlic bread at home with a store-brought spread). The other person with me tried out my dish and he, too, said it was really bad (so I know it wasn't my imagination). He had a simple spaghetti with marinara sauce and the tomatoes were sour. The only positive experience at the restaurant was the nice lady at the counter. I understand that this is a fast food place for some quick pasta, and every restaurant has their off-moments, but even for a quick pasta dish, it was a complete waste of my eight bucks.
(2)Amanda M.
Great proportions, the price is decent and the food tastes pretty good! It's kind of like the Olive Garden but cheaper. The only thing I did not enjoy is the seating arrangement.. It's pretty much outside only. There is an "inside" spot but its still very open. I guess its meant to be a warm afternoon/evening restaurant or a fast food take out. Besides that I loved it! And can't wait to go back.
(3)Ha U.
You can dine-in but they are targeting for the customer to take out. Their soups is good.
(3)Eric G.
I've been here a few times because I had a craving for italian food. Both times the food was ok. At first I got a pasta with the pesto sauce and it tasted kind of weird. I went back here yesterday and got the chicken parmigiana and that tasted weird too. The chicken was fine but the sauces they use taste funny. It's kind of nice because they have outdoor seating and we can take our dog along out to dinner :) So far im not impressed but i will probably go back. There are some other dishes i wouldn;t mind trying.
(2)Jessica H.
Went there with some friends. It is like fast food pasta, no joke! The place is pretty. Nice cheap pastas for everyone :)
(4)FoodisMyLiLfriend B.
Delicious! I tell them to bake my order with cheese on top. Sauce is wonderful. Garlic bread is yummy too. Old building is ugly but it is expensive to rent one of the fancy places. I'd def recommend.
(5)Dennis I.
Tried it once. Huge portions. I'd come back.
(4)Willis W.
Closed down! My world is collapsing...
(3)Lisa T.
This place is great for a quick meal! I've called in my order ahead of time and picked up for to go and the pasta was still super hot by the time I reached home. By no means is this place fancy, but for the price and taste its worth it. Why pay $15 for pasta at olive garden when you can get the same thing for half the price? For the people who complain that they just get some cheap store bought pasta with sauce, where else did you think it came from? I mean the pasta has to come from some where like the store.. Its not rocket science so I dont understand why people expect so much from pasta. lol Anyways, great place, friendly people, generally good cheap pasta.
(3)Jae S.
Not the greatest. If you'd rather keep the cash but you're in an italian mood, I guess this is okay. We ordered spaghetti...and what we got was tomato sauce over noodles. Also got a garlic bread. Let me just say that I've made better spaghetti....and I'm 19 and male. Imagine plain ragu over spaghetti noodles and you're getting the right idea...
(2)Lehua M.
da best italian food in fremont............................love the ono grindz
(5)Nick D.
Checked out Pasta Presto for dinner last night with the s/o last night and we were both quite surprised. Driving up to a building that looked like and old-old-school Taco Bell, with indoor/outdoor seating and shady parking lot, sure, I had my hesitations but I was so curious about this place. Went in and looked at the menu, which had basic pasta offerings. Their special of the day was their Spaghetti and Meatball w/Garden Salad and Garlic Bread for $6.95 and add a soda (by the can) for $0.50 more. Wow, a complete dinner for $7.45, not bad! So that's what I ordered. The s/o ordered the Eggplant Parmesan. We sat "inside" and I say "inside" because there's no door, but was much warmer than sitting outside. One by one people would come in, so they had a steady amount of customers and regulars, which I thought was cool. Our food was ready in about five minutes, not bad. The Garden Salad w/Bleu Cheese dressing was good, although, a little too much salt ended up either in my dressing container or on the salad, weird but edible. My Spaghetti and Meatball was good, maybe a little too many tomato chunks for my liking but, I'm not keen on tomatoes to begin with. My meatball could've used a little more seasoning as it was a little bland but dipping it in the spaghetti sauce helped. The s/o liked his Eggplant Parmesan, his only complaint was that the breading could've been a little more crunchy. The Garlic Bread, I could've totally passed on it. It was just butter, paprika and garlic powder or something so minimal. The staff was wayyyyy friendly! I love Italian food and I love me some pasta so eventhough this experience was just alright, I'm going to come back and try more of their food! This is the closest as we'll ever get to Italian Fast Food, other than Sbarro's in the mall!
(3)Brian M.
Always like their specials! Lasagne or any dish very delicious! Worth your money! Authentic Italian food at half price!
(5)Shannon L.
This looks like it use to be one of the older Taco Bell's (which means there's not much seating for parties over 4)! I was giggling as I was walking towards it. It's very easy to find once you get on Grimmer. What's weird was I parked my car and next to it was a little piece of lawn and a man was sleeping there. I re-parked my car. Service was friendly & quick. When we first got there, we were the only ones there and the food came out in less than 5 minutes from ordering. While we were eating, about 10 more people came in but to get take-out. I got Cheese Ravioli with Pesto Sauce ($6.75) and people are right, portions are fairly huge. It doesn't look like it but pasta & sauce (especially if it's creamy) is really filling. It came with 2 pieces of garlic bread (heavily doused in butter) and a little container of parmesan. I thought the ravioli would be tossed in a pesto sauce but it was drenched in what tasted like alfredo but with some pesto mixed in. It was a LOT of sauce. First bite was good but halfway through, it started to taste weird. Even now, only 20 minutes later... my stomach is gurgling, maybe from gas.
(2)Joel M.
Let me start by saying that this isn't a fancy Italian restaurant or a place that you take your lady to impress her. Pasta Presto is essentially a fast food Italian place. My mother and I have been ordering takeout from Pasta Presto for years. The Italian woman who works there is always very friendly and the food is consistently good. The eggplant parmesan is legit, can't go wrong with the chicken fettuccine alfredo or my personal favorite the tortellini alfredo. The food is always hot, the portions heavy and I think my favorite part has to be the fact that they put enough sauce on your food so you can dip the garlic bread in, scrum-diddly-umpcious!!! To everyone who lives in Fremont and loves pasta, do yourselves a favor and stop eating that pre-packed frozen crap at Olive Garden. Pasta Presto is authentic, everything is made at the restaurant and it's not pumped full of MSG. If you're looking for a quick fix to satisfy your pasta craving, there is no better place to go in Fremont than Pasta Presto.
(5)Jennette B.
The best fast food Pasta ever. I mean - where else can you get pasta and garlic bread fast like this. The food is so yummy - I've been eating here since 1990 and still love it. Vegetarian friendly. Yes, it can be busy at times - so call ahead and it will be ready for you.
(5)Kay A.
Great place for Italian "fast food". The garlic bread is yummy! Love the pesto sauce and veggie lasagna. Not a real dining room, but good for take out. You order at a window.
(3)Rachael M.
I LOVE Pasta Presto! My boyfriend and I really enjoy going to this cute little hole-in-the-wall. The kitchen is the majority of the building and dining is half indoors, half out. The staff is consistently very friendly and helpful. Also, there is SO MUCH food to choose from. Pasta and sauce combinations that are really quite good. There's also meatballs, chicken, eggplant, sausages, and really fantastic lasagna! Usually enough lunch for two (unless your boyfriend is a bottomless pit like mine) or you can take the rest home for later, as most of the food reheats quite well. I definitely recommend Pasta Presto, it will probably soon become your favorite lunch spot. Does it get any better than good Italian fast-food?
(4)Elise A.
What kills me is that we kept going by this place, to check it out because of all the positive reviews. But being new in town - we kept missing its open hours in between unpacking and moving. But when we finally went there for lunch, we were very disappointed... even for Italian fast food, we thought this should/could have been way better! My husband and I ate lunch here a couple weeks ago. We had the pasta special and we were given our lunches on styrofoam take-home boxes (even though we told them that we were eating in - I guess they don't have plates?) and sat in the tiny little alcove that has maybe three tables out front. Forget the ambiance really! I mean - I knew this place was basically "Italian Fast Food" and I like Cho's (in Palo Alto - he has really good potstickers) - so I can definitely go for tiny "hole in the wall" places, if what they have is unique and interesting enough. But what I found at Pasta Presto was not really any more exciting than if I had boiled some pasta at home and cracked open a jar of Ragu (and I don't even buy Ragu sauce!). Seriously, the food was very, very bland and was nothing particularly special. Considering that the dining experience is also somewhat awkward - I don't think we really will be tempted to go back. I suppose one could argue that "for fast food" - it's better than McDonald's - and probably healthier - which is why I'm granting it at least two stars. But it really was a bit of a disappointment after reading all these glowing reviews. My salad was not-so-great either and the dressing was sort of ho-hum. The garlic bread was soggy and overly salty. All in all - I felt like it was kind of a glorified mall food court experience.
(2)D Y.
spaghetti & meatball, egg plant parmisian, side salad = all decent and all fresh ingredients.
(3)Leah P.
Too bad this place is a bit far from me otherwise I'd be there a lot! Went here with my girl Karen on a whim and this place did not disappoint. It's like a fast food place for pasta....the words fast food and pasta shouldn't even go together, but with this place, they seem to coexist just fine. I had the fettuccine pesto with chicken...huge portions and it came with garlic bread. We also got the cheesecake which hit the spot. They have this chain in Paris with the same name but it's a bit more upscale and the pasta selections are more abundant...don't even get me started on THAT. I could yelp about that for days.....But this local namesake though is also worth the trip....
(4)Christine B.
Vegie spaghetti sauce is delicious. Heat portions and loaded w yummy goodness. Just not for carb watchers. Their alfradoe sauce is so thick and creamy, they use so much cheese (4kinds I think) best of all the price is so right. And they cater.
(5)Tim S.
Yea , its back open! The food is good and the service is good, I do take out , Not a great place to eat in ,
(4)David C.
Please tell me this is a cafeteria and pinch me ...... I really do not call this an Italian restaurant, fast food maybe? But fast food has more taste than this! GF and myself ordered tortellini and fettuccine with chicken in white sauce. I did not want to mention about the bread, but the food itself ...... well I don't know how to describe this, but ..... there is terrible food that tastes too salty, too sweet, too spicy, you know .... like terrible ...... but this is a totally different level, this is tasteless ...... you get me? I paid about $7 for each, can't explain about the price if it's less than tasty ... but tasteless? you gotta be kidding me, and the chicken on my pasta ... it's more like they got it somewhere else and threw it on top of the pasta, and then threw the sauce on top of it .... this is a joke, really meant it ... because ... my gf couldn't finish it on the spot ...so I took it home, and we had to recook it to make it edible ... sorry I don't mean to talk down to some family ran or small business ... but this was ..... I am depressed again ....
(2)Where Is Barstow ..
Wow! Now this is great hole in the wall Italian! I've tried ravioli, pizza, and chicken parmigian, and all are nice. The place has awkward seating, so I always get the food to go. So far never been disappointed
(4)Nate M.
I hate to have to do this to a mom-and-pop-shop... but I do not like the food here. The location is neat, but of all the things I have tried on the menu- none of them have been good. For the sandwiches, the sauce is too thin and drips everywhere. The vegetarian lasagna is kinda gross and the pesto sauce with the raviolis is not what I know pesto sauce to be. Also, whenever we get food to go, the packaging is sketchy and it is kind of messy by the time I get home.
(2)Corissa H.
I have been going here for years...I remember when the place was a taco bell! The lady who owns it is a sweetheart and she remembers her return customers... I love the rigatoni and meatball!!! and the garlic bread YUM... her blue cheese dressing is soo tasty too!!!! I always go by there when I can and the prices are super cheap...

Average Americanized Italian. It's cheap, it's edible, but it's just lacking something? Maybe garlic or balsamic vinegar or some other spice depending on the dish but I bypass by adding after. A little bit of kosher salt and garlic powder and it's easily up to fastfood "4". Overall a 3

This place has been around for as long as I can remember and I've lived in Fremont for a long time. It's cheaper than ordering pasta at a sit-down restaurant but I've always felt like pasta was overpriced no matter where you go. I always get spaghetti with 2 or 3 meatballs and I can't remember having tried anything else. The meatballs are my favorite meatballs ever and the pasta is cooked perfectly. The lady that takes the orders is really nice too.

Pasta Presto has been one of my favorite places ever since I was a little kid. I don't get to go there that often, but I enjoy it soooooo much when I do! I LOVE their meatballs and their cream of broccoli soup. For being a fast Italian food restaurant, I think that it's really good.

i love this place. i love the lady(propriertor) that works the front. shes nice! and she knows what im going to order before i even order. the minestrone soup is great on a cold cold night. the pastas are good. standard fare. i hipped my mum to the place and she goes there because its not loaded with salt like some places i only pick up dinner b/c after i eat, the food leaves me in a coma for a few hours. which is great

We just ate here and I have to say it is not bad at all considering the price. My son and husband like it too and they are very picky eaters. Portions not too big, just right. Garlic Bread is freakin' awesome.

What a great concept. Fast food Pasta for dine in or take out. Have eaten here for 15+ years and was worried when they closed for a couple months that the economy had forced them to close. Not a fan of garlic bread but love their red sauce on Ravioli, Tortellini and Meat Balls. Also the anti-pasta salad is enough for two and the cheese cake is to DIE FOR! Awesome place to dine in during the 90+ degree weather.

Great for take out. Friendly workers and great Pasta!

This is FAST FOOD Pasta. This is not Restaurant style or homemade LOL This is if you want some Pasta and you are too damn lazy to make it or too cheap to go to the Olive Garden LOL or maybe you just don't have the time and you go here. It is just OKAY. It reminds me of the pasta they had when I was in elementary school. You know in the cafeteria?? Anyway, the lady here is real nice.

This is what I was looking for: a cheap, fast food pasta joint, that's not sbarro. I followed the reviews and ordered the tortellini. Cheap, lots of food, but it was lack of taste which is such a bummer! The bread is a disaster, the daily garlic bread from grocery stores is better (sorry). The thing that stands out to me is the service, the lady who helped me is soo nice. Like really, SO nice that even if the food wasn't that great, I'd want to come back just to keep her happy lol.

This place is real cute!! The prices are not bad and the service is nice. It was my first time there yesterday and I will definitely go back

Yuummmm:) I was checking out my fellow yelper's (Willis W.) top 25 restaurants and Pasta Presto was in the top 10.....so I decided to check it out. Being a Fremont resident I've driven by a couple times, but never stopped, 'cause it looked a little shady on the outside. Never judge a book by it's cover! This place is awesome! I'm so excited to know about it. I had the tortellini with the meat sauce...BOMB. I think this is one of the best places in Fremont...if you love good pasta. Oh ya...the staff is so nice, what a rare thing to see, a BIG sincere smile:)

Only days later did I realize that I really liked this place. The service was great! The food was fast and the cheese ravioli was pretty good. I think I will have to go back to try other things on the menu.

This location was an old taco bell in the 70's-early 80's. Presto Pasta was originally a family owned REAL Sicilian restaurant that closed & their cook opened this current place utilizing the same sauces. It's an excellent take-out place when you're in a hurry, but don't want junk. The meatballs are authentic Sicilian style, as is their pastas. Some of the best minestrone around the bay too! Unless you're a REAL Italian, you won't appreciate this place to it's fullest.

Good food, huge portions. How often do you find a fast food pasta place? I like the fact it's unique. The staff/owners are very friendly. The minnestrone soup is a must have. It stays hot in the car, and is big enough for two. In fact, you could order spaghetti and meatballs, and a large soup, and split it with someone (unless you were a pig and wanted it all for yourself).

I love this little place!!! When I first moved here my boyfriend introduced me to this lovely little place and I just love it. I love pasta! I love italian! It's perfect, a fast food pasta/italian place! You can't beat that. HUGE proportions for a good price. The staff are very nice and helpful. Their eggplant is yummy. I find their food very filling I break it up into 2 meals. I adore going here and it's about time they made italian food fast!

Awesome! My friend Kirby introduced me to this place about 9 (?) years ago...maybe more. The food has ALWAYS been great and you always have enough for later. The service is wonderful and they even have a heater on their patio... I hope they open up a "real" restaurant one day so I can actually sit down indoors- but all in all, they ROCK!

How did I let Brandy get away with reviewing this before me! It's very tasty and you get so much it's nearly impossible to finish. I call ahead now and get it to go! Best of all it's very reasonably priced! Yummy!

Small place looks like it used to be a Taco Bell. It has very little seating either under a overhang or outside. They have good specials and pretty good pasta.

Pasta Presto...lol....We came to this place about 3 years ago...me and about 10 of my friends....the bald guy working there...was excited as hell....its as if he he had never seen this many people come to his joint at one time....I ordered Chicken Parmiagiana...which came with some garlic bread...and i think a small salad...and a drink....it was 8.25....for all of that...but this was about 2 years ago...so they may have increased the prices....we wanted to know if this place was authentic italian...because it didn't seem like it...so my friend...who is 12.5 percent italian...asked the bald guy...and he said he was part irish..part scottish and a little italian...so....i guess this place isn't authentic...overall...its pretty ok....nothing great....kind of like a cheap man's olive garden....i've been back there once more....and basically the same level of food the second time also....its just pretty standard...i actually make better italian at home myself.......don't expect much when coming here....just some pretty average italian

I love this place!! It's really good fast food and tastes great. The staff is really nice and its usualy the same people that work everyday. One thing to know is that they are closed every Tuesday. Its their only day off. The spaghetti and meatball is my favorite dish.
